Good morning. Welcome to the Mojo in the Morning Show. It's good to have you guys here with us today. Coming up this morning, War of the Roses. And this morning's War of the Roses, the time that this thing aired on our show was so long ago that it actually almost got War of the Roses completely canceled for good. And this was before anybody was doing canceling stupid stuff like that. and it was for good reason there was legal purposes so it has never ever re-aired on the mojo in the morning show this morning we will and we will give you an update so make sure that you're listening to the show coming up at seven o'clock this morning i was talking with tony travato our big boss our operations manager guy and uh when we got the official go-ahead that we was okay because this one has been in the archives for a long time and i'm like tony we gotta be able to play this thing again he said oh good okay play it over your christmas break when you guys are gone i'm like no i want to play it i want to play it and talk about it because it's

00:05:00 - 00:05:39 | Speaker 1:

too good to not do that and normally when we're on vacation you know you just hear us do our replays and stuff and this is one of those ones where i think that it's going to be worthwhile to actually have conversation about so you'll hear that coming up uh phone scams on the way uh it's taylor swift swift miss win some taylor swift tickets plus our mojo's missile dough win ten thousand dollars all this morning here on the mojo in the morning show yesterday we had our holiday lunch our holiday party, and it was fun. Did a little karaoke, cookie decorating, Christmas sweater contests, and saran wrap fun. I missed the

00:05:39 - 00:05:47 | Speaker 2:

saran wrap. Oh, you didn't participate? I had an appointment. I had to go to therapy, unfortunately, so I missed my favorite

00:05:47 - 00:06:16 | Speaker 1:

game. I needed therapy from doing this. It was so much fun. Actually, I got out of doing it, and I thank Dorothy, our good friend Dorothy Maxwell here, who Dorothy is the nicest lady ever She is our traffic director She celebrated Her 20th anniversary With the company Amazing just celebrated it this past Week and what did We get for her for her 20th anniversary We got her a spot in the Saran wrap contest

00:06:16 - 00:06:19 | Speaker 2:

I mean that is big

00:06:19 - 00:06:34 | Speaker 3:

To be fair Mojo you say you got Out of it but you actually helped Start the party because nobody wanted to get up and do karaoke, and you and producer KP got up there to break the ice and be the first ones to sing. We did. Baby, it's cold outside.

00:06:34 - 00:06:41 | Speaker 2:

I heard your intro to the song was very good, by the way. Did you like it? Because you said this song is no longer appropriate.

00:06:41 - 00:06:53 | Speaker 1:

Yes. I saw a guy post about how Baby, it's cold outside was canceled last year, the same year that the song WAP was the number one song on the radio.

00:06:53 - 00:06:54 | Speaker 3:

It's true.

00:06:54 - 00:06:59 | Speaker 1:

made no sense at all right that they're canceling a song called baby it's cold outside about a guy

00:06:59 - 00:07:04 | Speaker 3:

asking a girl to come in but wop is female empowerment yeah i don't know i was listening

00:07:04 - 00:07:44 | Speaker 1:

to some of the lyrics when we were going through it but yeah it was it was actually kind of fun i don't know uh you know i i i tried to normally i don't ever like uh enjoy going to these office things but i tried to put myself in the mindset of all right normally if we had this thing at like a big nice restaurant or at a big ballroom i'd complain about the fact that i had to like go out at night and do it and my wife gave me the perspective of you're always a curmudgeon you're always the negative you know you got to be positive so i tried to like to sit back and enjoy and i actually kind of did i actually kind of really enjoyed uh us being there and being part of this whole thing

00:07:44 - 00:07:58 | Speaker 3:

K.P.'s got a good voice

00:07:58 - 00:08:28 | Speaker 1:

Oh my god, the uncomfortability of that Did you see the look on our general manager Colleen's face at that moment there? She, by the way, is – Colleen's great. I love her. Oh, my gosh. She's the best. She is. I've often said this. Female bosses blow male bosses away.

00:08:28 - 00:08:28 | Speaker 3:

Yep.

00:08:29 - 00:08:48 | Speaker 1:

They are so much better to work for. They're definitely much more compassionate. And no offense to any of the guy bosses out there. You guys need to learn from them. But Colleen is like, working for Colleen, to me, is like having another mother around, you know? She mothers all of us.

00:08:48 - 00:09:00 | Speaker 2:

Did you guys, I was kind of blown away by some of the people in the office who got up to sing. Did you hear Janae sing, one of our sales? Oh my God, she's got it. Sales girls. She did two songs. Holy crap.

00:09:00 - 00:09:13 | Speaker 1:

She has the most beautiful voice. She did Darlene Loves. What's that song? Christmas. Baby, please come home. You know somebody's good at karaoke when they go up and go, hey, is everybody ready to go? And they start hyping up the crowd.

00:09:13 - 00:09:16 | Speaker 2:

I just had no idea she could sing.

00:09:16 - 00:09:31 | Speaker 1:

What about this? Hold on. That's your part. It's perfect. But baby, it's cold outside. Nailed it. I mean, come on. Tell me that that's not good.

00:09:31 - 00:09:36 | Speaker 3:

Shannon, you also missed you. I had to leave, and you missed Colleen passing out the Christmas bonus.

00:09:37 - 00:09:40 | Speaker 2:

Oh, I was here, actually. Oh, you were? Yeah, I was here.

00:09:41 - 00:09:42 | Speaker 3:

Oh, I thought the saran wrap was before that.

00:09:43 - 00:09:45 | Speaker 1:

I used it last night. Did you?

00:09:45 - 00:09:49 | Speaker 2:

I didn't actually get it, but I was here. I had to finish up a few things before I ran out.

00:09:49 - 00:09:54 | Speaker 3:

It wasn't at all awkward that we complained about Christmas bonuses right before we went out there.

00:09:54 - 00:09:56 | Speaker 2:

And she made sure to mention that as well.

00:09:56 - 00:10:00 | Speaker 1:

Do you know what she did for me, which I thought was very sweet? And Chelsea thought...

00:10:00 - 00:10:34 | Speaker 4:

it was too she knew that I wouldn't wear merch because they did they did you know uh Kroger gift cards but they also gave us like this I hurt merch which I like the I heart logo a lot so she goes do me a favor don't grab one for yourself grab one for your wife I grabbed one Chelsea was very excited about it so um all right so that was our that was our holiday party Mike I understand that you were with us all day in Detroit yesterday because you were granting Christmas wishes and then we had a whole bunch of other stuff that we were doing after the show But I understand that you guys had your own office holiday party, and something crazy happened that you missed.

00:10:35 - 00:11:42 | Speaker 3:

Yeah. So apparently during our office Christmas party here yesterday, they had this big stop in the party. It was like right in the beginning, and they got everybody quiet, and they said, all right, we want to make this huge announcement. I apparently won some kind of award, and they were going to surprise me with it right then, but I wasn't there to accept it. so they just uh brought the plaque up they didn't call me they didn't tell me i still had no idea even like yesterday afternoon and then celebrated the entire thing without me oh my god yeah what did you win yeah so apparently the uh the agency that works through kia of grand rapids north and other kios here in the country uh they do a media personality award so whoever they think represents them the best in the entire country and i won personality of the year award that is awesome yeah yeah wow yeah i yeah i had no idea so i got this big plaque and uh honestly if if some like you know uh guy who's like the lowly guy on the on the morning show can win that award imagine if you got mojo spike and shannon on your on your product hey

00:11:42 - 00:11:49 | Speaker 4:

well wait no no think about this you represent kia spike represents kia and you won the award

00:11:50 - 00:11:58 | Speaker 1:

Oh, yeah. Spike, you didn't win the award. Well, Mike's been doing Kia a lot longer, too, so I kind of just got my car this year, but I'm going to take it from you.

00:11:59 - 00:12:02 | Speaker 2:

Did they give you, like, gas cards or anything else

00:12:02 - 00:12:04 | Speaker 3:

or just a plaque? I have no idea because I wasn't here to accept it.

00:12:04 - 00:12:14 | Speaker 1:

But that's the funniest part to me is, like, obviously people in the sales department knew this was happening. Nobody bothered to see if you were going to be there and to accept it.

00:12:14 - 00:12:22 | Speaker 3:

No, I got a call after the party. I said, hey, where are you at? And I'm like, oh, I'm on my way back from Detroit I thought it was Kate Ardell I thought it was going to be like, hey, I need a spot or something

00:12:22 - 00:12:24 | Speaker 1:

If Kate listened in the morning, she would know where you were at

00:12:24 - 00:12:37 | Speaker 4:

You know what's funny is I often have watched award shows And I thought to myself, why is it Taylor Swift's never showing up at the American Music Awards And it says, Taylor's not here right now, we'll accept this award for her That's what they had to do for you yesterday

00:12:37 - 00:12:52 | Speaker 3:

Yeah, I guess so And there's a plaque, I guess Tim got me something too for it But nobody, you could have even called me during the announcement of the award Like, anybody. My bosses, even the PD of SNX was there. Somebody knew where I was at, and nobody called.

00:12:53 - 00:12:57 | Speaker 4:

Oh, Mike. But congratulations on winning the award.

00:12:57 - 00:12:58 | Speaker 1:

Well, thanks, I guess, yeah.

00:12:58 - 00:12:58 | Speaker 4:

Yeah.

00:12:59 - 00:13:02 | Speaker 1:

And here you got sixth place in the Christmas sweater. Yeah.

00:13:03 - 00:13:04 | Speaker 2:

I voted for you.

00:13:04 - 00:13:09 | Speaker 4:

Thank you. You're welcome. Actually, Mike was good, but Sean Streis was the best.

00:13:09 - 00:13:09 | Speaker 1:

Oh, the greatest.

00:13:10 - 00:13:12 | Speaker 2:

I was jealous. I mean, his was, like, light up and stuff.

00:13:12 - 00:13:15 | Speaker 1:

You know how I like my Christmas sweaters. I was like, wow, I've got to get that.

00:13:15 - 00:13:28 | Speaker 4:

He, not only was that, you talked about Janae and her singing. Sean Strife was really good. Like, he did Grandma Got Run Over by a Reindeer, and he sounded like that horrible song, Grandma Got Run Over by a Reindeer, right?

00:13:28 - 00:13:39 | Speaker 2:

I love that. Sean just makes me so happy. He's here right now, by the way. He's sleeping in his office right now. What are you talking about? Why? Yeah, he scared the crap out of me this morning, because I think I was the only person here.

00:13:39 - 00:13:40 | Speaker 4:

Did he get in a fight with his wife, Karen?

00:13:40 - 00:13:59 | Speaker 2:

No, I walked out of the studio, and he was just standing there, like, just not doing anything and so i screamed and i go what the heck are you doing here this early he had to take his wife to the airport for a 6 a.m flight and so he's like i just i came right to work instead of going all the way home and coming back so he is like i'm gonna go in my office and just try to sleep

00:13:59 - 00:14:23 | Speaker 4:

for a couple of hours does this creepy hovering thing sometimes that's what he was doing he does this thing where he'll like i'll be in the studio working equipment and stuff and you know the door opens you guys come in and out all the time so i don't really kind of pay attention and look up and the next thing I know I look over and it's like he's like hovering right over the top of me and I'm like oh hey but he doesn't want to interrupt at all he's like too nice to like say hey can I ask whatever one of those things

00:14:23 - 00:14:33 | Speaker 1:

he's done that and surprised me when I'm recording phone scams in here after the show and then I realized his move he's just sniffing around to see if we have any free food left he's hovering to see like any boxes

00:14:33 - 00:14:48 | Speaker 4:

in here I never thought about that well you know what we all have it some time in our lives slept at the radio station And so you got to do that. All right. We've got a good show for you today. We'll kick it off with some prizes here. The back in the day, Louis Tomlinson tickets.

00:18:40 - 00:19:08 | Speaker 1:

It was an aggravating third day of testimony yesterday for prosecutors in the trial of Rapportory Lanes in L.A., And why do I use that word aggravating? Because a key witness didn't answer most of the questions that came her way. Megan Thee Stallion's former assistant and best friend, former best friend, Kelsey Harris, took the stand and was granted immunity, by the way. And she left prosecutors really super frustrated because she answered almost every question with, I honestly don't remember. I honestly don't remember.

00:19:08 - 00:19:11 | Speaker 4:

Wow. And they were giving her like a free pass on this thing? Yep.

00:19:11 - 00:19:59 | Speaker 1:

And she said her memory from that night was blurry because there was a whole lot of alcohol involved. Back in September, the L.A. County Deputy District Attorney recorded an interview with Kelsey, okay? And large portions of that interview were played in court yesterday in an effort to help refresh her memory. Because she kept saying, you know, I honestly don't remember. Well, she said a lot of the things that she said on tape were not true. And her excuse was, well, I was just trying to protect myself. So then prosecutors showed a text message that Kelsey sent to Megan Thee Stallion's security guard the night of the alleged shooting that read, Help, Tori Shot Meg 911. However, yesterday she changed her tune about that as well and claimed she doesn't know why she said that or texted that because she didn't see.

00:20:00 - 00:20:11 | Speaker 2:

anything happen and so when asked by prosecutors if tori shot megan she issued her fifth amendment right and she just said i don't want to be here um you know taking the stand is triggering for me

00:20:11 - 00:20:25 | Speaker 3:

i mean she really gave him nothing this makes me suspicious because you know the whole rumor was that tori lanes was trying to pay megan the stallion off did not charge yep and it was a million dollars i wonder if tori lanes is people i don't know there's something really off this girl

00:20:25 - 00:22:14 | Speaker 2:

She is due back in court today at 10 a.m., so we'll get more info for you. Steven Twitch Boss, the DJ on Ellen DeGeneres' talk show, I know a lot of people, including myself, loved watching him on So You Think You Can Dance and on Instagram dancing with his wife and his family, is dead, and it was by suicide. He was just 40 years old. It was breaking dirty at the end of the show yesterday. Just such a tragic story. Law enforcement sources say that Twitch's wife, Allison Holker, ran into an LAPD station on Tuesday and she was frantic because she said he left home without his car, which was something that he just wouldn't do. It was very not like him. She told police he simply left the house. There was no argument, no drama, and he wouldn't answer any of her phone calls or text messages. A short time later, paramedics got a call for a medical emergency at an L.A. hotel and they found Twitch there dead in the bathroom from an apparent self-inflicted gunshot wound. This motel that he checked into the day before was 14 minutes from their home. So apparently he had walked there, checked in with a small bag, booked just a single night. The person who helped him check in say he was calm. There was, you know, there was nothing strange about the situation. And staff only went to check his room when he failed to check out on time. And that's when they found him. His wife releasing a statement and part of it said, Stephen lit up every room he stepped into. To say he left a legacy would be an understatement. Stephen, we love you. We miss you. And I will always save the last dance for you. And there were so many tributes that poured in on social media yesterday, and everybody said the same thing. He was just such a light. And I found this moment that he had during his time on The Ellen DeGeneres Show with Ellen. Listen to this.

00:22:14 - 00:23:15 | Speaker 1:

Hi, Twitch. Hey, Ellen. How are you feeling right now? Feeling all of the things, but I think what I'm feeling most of all is grateful and thankful that, I mean, you can see this atmosphere that is here that has showed up because because you also had the courage to step out and be your authentic self so you've now created a place where not only these people come to watch the show but everybody behind these cameras the people backstage in the control room the people with the guests right now that you've changed their life dramatically and everybody puts so much care into this show because you stepped out on courage and we appreciate you and I'm so I'm just so grateful that I got to be a part of this and be a part of this family and I thank you uh Mary and Andy I thank y'all Matt Wright like I it's just there's so many people that have been so instrumental in making this show what it is and that's from your

00:23:15 - 00:23:23 | Speaker 2:

leadership always so kind always so grateful in any situation every situation he was in Do you guys believe in manifestation?

00:23:25 - 00:23:26 | Speaker 3:

Yes. Yeah? No.

00:23:27 - 00:23:32 | Speaker 2:

You don't? No. Really? No. Oh, okay. I thought of all people on the show, you would.

00:23:32 - 00:23:34 | Speaker 3:

I figured you'd be all in.

00:23:34 - 00:23:53 | Speaker 2:

Yeah, me too. Well, anyway, after Selena Gomez received a Golden Globe nomination for Only Burners in the Building earlier this week, she posted this throwback interview where she talked about manifesting that exact moment. The interview that I'm about to play for you is from 2011, okay? Really? Yeah.

00:23:54 - 00:24:01 | Speaker 3:

All right. Hold on, I got to manifest it up to the control board here. I'm going to do that real quick. Oh, crap, I don't know. Okay, let's see.

00:24:02 - 00:24:19 | Speaker 2:

See, manifestation doesn't work. Oh, come on, hold on. The music stuff. Okay, you were at the Grammys. What is your review? Yes, amazing. Would you ever, is that like an aspiration? I think that would be the coolest thing. I think it would be an honor, of course, but I'm more of a Golden Globe or Oscar girl, so. It would be nice. And it happens.

00:24:19 - 00:24:21 | Speaker 3:

Well, at least the Golden Globe part happened.

00:24:22 - 00:24:22 | Unknown:

So, yeah.

00:24:23 - 00:24:27 | Speaker 3:

So did she really manifest it? I don't know if that was manifesting as much as a coincidence.

00:24:28 - 00:24:35 | Speaker 2:

No, manifesting just doesn't work. And people go, I manifested that. I have a manifestation candle that I light every night when I'm getting ready.

00:24:36 - 00:24:37 | Speaker 3:

What's it smell like? Farts?

00:24:38 - 00:24:40 | Speaker 2:

No, it does not. It smells very lovely.

00:24:41 - 00:24:44 | Speaker 3:

Do you have to think of something that you want to have happen that day when you light it? Or what do you do?

00:24:45 - 00:24:51 | Speaker 2:

Yeah. Yeah, I mean, it's not even necessarily something that I want to happen that day. It's just something that I want to happen in my life in China.

00:24:53 - 00:24:57 | Speaker 3:

Breeze would like you to manifest some Starbucks a little bit later. I'll do it for you.

00:24:57 - 00:24:59 | Speaker 2:

I'm manifesting that right now as well.

00:25:00 - 00:25:10 | Speaker 1:

Lastly, imagine this. You do. Oh, you're not done. I'm sorry. I apologize. I can be done. Yeah, be done. This is awkward. Be done because I got to get to a break. Okay. I got to get to a break. Okay. All right. For all of today's Dirty, check out the Dirty Face at mojointhemorning.com.

Oh, man. Um, what's it called? Three seconds.

00:31:27 - 00:31:28 | Speaker 1:

00:31:28 - 00:31:30 | Speaker 2:

Harry and Megan. Harry and Megan.

00:31:30 - 00:31:46 | Speaker 1:

Okay, just under the wire. In question number five, the state of Florida introduced a bill that would ban this social media platform from operating in the U.S. over national security concerns. TikTok. Let's bring the champ back from a soundproof area. I was a little worried.

00:31:47 - 00:31:51 | Speaker 2:

Yeah, he redeemed himself in the end. I don't know if it'll be enough, but we'll see. Michael got three out of five correct.

00:31:52 - 00:32:09 | Speaker 1:

Similar to yesterday, Ethan. You ready? All righty. Let's do it, my friend. Question number one. Tributes poured in on social media after news broke about the death of Ellen's DJ, Twitch. True or false, Ellen's show ended last year in 2021.

00:32:11 - 00:32:12 | Speaker 2:

False.

00:32:13 - 00:32:15 | Speaker 1:

Correct. Actually, it ended this year in 2022.

00:32:16 - 00:32:16 | Speaker 2:

One to nothing.

00:32:17 - 00:32:33 | Speaker 1:

Question number two. Lizzo fired back at critics who accused her of making music that appeals only to white people. Which of the following is not a Lizzo song? A, About Damn Time, B, Made You Look, or C, Truth Hurts?

00:32:34 - 00:32:37 | Speaker 2:

Made You Look. Correct. Two to nothing.

00:32:37 - 00:32:47 | Speaker 1:

Question number three. Movie producers of this famous pirate series are teasing the return of Johnny Depp as Captain Jack Sparrow. Which series is it?

00:32:48 - 00:32:51 | Speaker 2:

Pirates of the Caribbean. Yeah, that's an easy one.

00:32:51 - 00:34:10 | Speaker 1:

Question number four. Prince William revealed that he sees his relationship with his brother Harry as over due to the damage caused by betrayal. What is the name of Harry and Meghan's new documentary that is trending number one on Netflix? Three seconds. Truth told, I don't know. No, it's called Harry and Meghan. I mean, why not? I mean, it's simple, right? And question number five, for a clean win, the state of Florida introduced a bill that would ban this social media platform from operating in the U.S. over national security concerns. TikTok. You got it. Yeah. Final score, 4-3. He's rolling along here with his fourth win in a row. Ethan, congratulations to you. You're a good one. Michael, you're a good one, too. That was a good challenge, okay? Oh, thanks. I do not want you to feel bad about yourself. That's why we give you a parting gift, and we're going to set you up with some tickets to go to the Toledo Zoo. Lights before Christmas. Tickets are on sale for that at ToledoZoo.org. It's worth the drive. It's a great place to go to, so enjoy that. Happy holidays to you, buddy. All right. Thank you. Thank you. You sound very mellow today. Are you in need of some caffeine?

00:34:12 - 00:34:13 | Unknown:

Yeah, probably.

00:34:13 - 00:34:18 | Speaker 1:

I got it. I got caffeine for you, the War of the Roses. I don't know about you, but, man, it gets my blood pressure going. So let's do it. Here we go.

00:34:18 - 00:34:21 | Speaker 2:

It's Mojo in the Mornings 5 at 6.55.

00:34:29 - 00:35:50 | Speaker 1:

Mojo in the Mornings show. All right, so I'm going to give you a little back story, and then I'm just going to let you listen, okay? Backstory is that War of the Roses has been on this radio show for many, many years, and there have been a couple of times where the War of the Roses got us into some deep doo-doo. One time, it happened way back when, actually like more than a decade ago. and it all stemmed from what you're about to hear and will be the first time since it aired live on our show because we were told by lawyers that we could never air it again until just recently and you'll understand why when you hear this so it's one of those things where normally I like to save any of our replays for War of the Roses when we're off on vacation or we're sick or something like that. But this was one I think that we had to air and we had to do some explanation on. So we had to be here for it. When you hear this War of the Roses, I'm going to tell you this, it's going to give you chills. So take a listen. It's the Mojo in the Morning show. This is the first time that this War of the Roses will have aired on our show since we got in some major

00:35:50 - 00:35:57 | Speaker 2:

trouble. Catching cheaters. I'm proud of it. Ow, I'm sorry. It's your home for War of the Roses on Mojo in the Morning.

00:35:57 - 00:36:03 | Speaker 1:

Jenny thinks that her husband is cheating. And Jenny, you think he's cheating in your own house?

00:36:03 - 00:36:12 | Speaker 4:

I don't know. I just have this feeling. I've been like, hey, my husband lost his job. And so he's at home during the day and I'm still at work.

00:36:12 - 00:36:17 | Speaker 1:

So he's got a lot of time at home by himself because you guys don't have kids?

00:36:17 - 00:36:18 | Speaker 4:

No, we don't have any kids.

00:36:19 - 00:36:21 | Speaker 3:

Is that the only reason that you think that he's cheating?

00:36:22 - 00:36:45 | Speaker 4:

No, it's like these weird things. Like the other day, I was in the bathroom, and I found a ponytail holder, which is not mine. And I know it's not mine because it's a black ponytail holder, and I have blonde hair, so I don't use black ponytail holders. And when I asked him, he told me that when he was at the gym, it was on the floor. He picked it up. He must have just put it in his bag, and then he thought it was mine.

00:36:45 - 00:36:45 | Speaker 1:

Okay.

00:36:46 - 00:36:46 | Speaker 4:

Which, yeah.

00:36:47 - 00:37:00 | Speaker 1:

Okay, now, boy, you're racing through this. just calm down and take a deep breath for a second what what is it about the fact that you think that he also is has had possibly somebody come back to your house uh a neighbor the other

00:37:00 - 00:37:06 | Speaker 4:

day told me that there was a car in the driveway and i confronted him on that and he completely

00:37:06 - 00:37:14 | Speaker 1:

denied it wow um so you think that he was having somebody over at the house and then obviously he

00:37:14 - 00:37:19 | Speaker 4:

didn't want you to know about it yeah and he's been acting really strange um will you just hang

00:37:19 - 00:37:40 | Speaker 1:

on the phone for a second and what we'll do is we'll call him up. We'll see where he'll send a dozen free roses. Okay. And then we'll bring you on and we'll talk to him about what's going on. And she's nervous. She's talking so fast. All right. Hold on one second. We're calling up. We want the roses to go to Jenny. We're calling Nick, her husband.

00:37:49 - 00:39:14 | Speaker 3:

00:39:15 - 00:39:17 | Speaker 2:

I'm going to send them to Maria.

00:39:20 - 00:39:31 | Speaker 4:

Okay. Okay, do that. What are you doing? Just calm down, calm down.

00:39:31 - 00:39:36 | Speaker 2:

Jenny, just relax. Jenny, we need to take a break here and get her out of the house.

00:39:36 - 00:39:36 | Unknown:

What?

00:39:36 - 00:39:43 | Speaker 2:

this is the home of the war of the roses mojo in the morning

00:39:43 - 00:40:00 | Speaker 1:

to give you a quick update just a second ago we did the war of the roses uh we called a guy who was suspected of cheating his wife we did not know was near the home and actually saw a car in the driveway and then went inside while the war of the roses was happening

00:40:00 - 00:40:10 | Speaker 8:

Jenny, Jenny, go back out in your car. Jenny.

00:40:17 - 00:40:22 | Speaker 7:

All right.

00:40:23 - 00:40:31 | Speaker 8:

Now, if you're asking people, texting saying, why would you cut off? So we're kind of concerned for people's safety for a second there because obviously we don't want them all to be in the same room.

00:40:31 - 00:40:33 | Speaker 1:

Jenny, what's going on this morning? What's happening?

00:40:34 - 00:40:49 | Speaker 7:

He is in my bedroom with that whore who I said I knew this was going on. Her car is in the driveway. That is her goddamn f***er. Oh, my God. Oh, my God. This is unbelievable. Holy f***. I don't know what to do.

00:40:50 - 00:40:56 | Speaker 8:

You need to get a cool head here and just take a second. Take a breather. Why don't you go back out in the driveway so we can talk to you for a second? Where is Nick at?

00:40:57 - 00:41:06 | Speaker 6:

Oh, my God. Nick, Jenny, where did Nick go? He's out with her. They ran. They ran in the backyard. Oh, my God.

00:41:06 - 00:41:11 | Speaker 1:

You have to seriously get out of that situation right now and pull out of there.

00:41:11 - 00:41:16 | Speaker 8:

Yeah, you guys shouldn't be talking to each other right now until you cool your head for a second.

00:41:16 - 00:41:18 | Speaker 6:

I can't believe, I cannot believe he would do this to me.

00:41:18 - 00:41:28 | Speaker 1:

We want you to hang on for a second, and then we'll come back to you and make sure you're okay and make sure your sister has an opportunity to talk to you. and we'll grab some calls for some listeners here. Autumn, hi.

00:41:29 - 00:41:30 | Speaker 7:

Hi, Mojo. How's it going?

00:41:30 - 00:41:32 | Speaker 1:

What's up? War of the Roses. You want to make a comment?

00:41:33 - 00:41:54 | Speaker 7:

Yeah, I do. First of all, if I found my husband or significant other cheating, I love you guys. I listen to you every morning, but I wouldn't pick up the phone and call you. If I picked up the phone, I'd be throwing it at him. And the second thing is, you guys should not be telling her to calm down. You guys should be telling her, go beat that girl.

00:41:54 - 00:42:18 | Speaker 1:

Well, I gotta be honest with you We do have to worry I mean, we have to be really careful of that And we've never had that happen And I'm gonna tell you this We have a policy on the show where We've never done War of the Roses When somebody's been in the same house With the person Just because there needs to be a cooling off period And that's why when this happened That was awkward for us So that's just for those people

00:42:18 - 00:42:20 | Speaker 5:

What are you doing, Nick?

00:42:20 - 00:42:22 | Speaker 1:

Mojo in the morning, hi, Kay

00:42:22 - 00:42:49 | Speaker 5:

Hello So, good morning, everyone. Good morning. I would want to have went in like Jenny. I feel sorry for her, but at least now she knows and now she can move on. I mean, as opposed to guessing, wondering, you know, now, I mean, she's going to have to take this information and appropriately use it in the correct way and move on because it's pitiful that she's working, providing for the home and he's cheating. That's pitiful.

00:42:49 - 00:42:50 | Speaker 1:

What's up, Candace?

00:42:51 - 00:42:52 | Speaker 4:

Hi there. How are you?

00:42:52 - 00:42:54 | Speaker 1:

Okay, what did you want to say about this?

00:42:54 - 00:43:10 | Speaker 4:

I just want to let you know that I didn't catch my ex-husband cheating on me, but actually I was cheated on while I was pregnant with my daughter, and I was left three days after she was born. So it was actually...

00:43:10 - 00:43:14 | Speaker 1:

So you know the feeling of being cheated on before, so you can relate to what she's going through.

00:43:15 - 00:43:57 | Speaker 4:

Yeah, exactly. And three days after she was born, I was left. And I have actually... Did you catch him in the act? house. I didn't catch him in the act, but I went back to the house after we were separated and found a condom in his pants. Oh, man. It was a horrible mess, and we're actually divorced, and he is now remarried as of Mother's Day weekend. Right, so tell me he didn't have something going on. Yeah. You know, they don't change, and whatever, so be it, but I feel for this Jenny girl, and I agree with Kay. You know, she's going to end up moving on and everything, and at least they caught it now. And this guy is going to probably keep on doing it, and I feel for her, but you know what? They don't change.

00:43:57 - 00:43:58 | Speaker 1:

Star?

00:43:58 - 00:43:59 | Speaker 3:

Yes, sir.

00:43:59 - 00:44:00 | Speaker 1:

What's up?

00:44:00 - 00:44:01 | Speaker 3:

How you doing, Mojo?

00:44:02 - 00:44:08 | Speaker 1:

I'll get to be honest with you. My heart's racing a little bit. I kind of feel sick right now. I don't feel so hot right now.

00:44:09 - 00:44:19 | Speaker 3:

Hey, by no means do I condone cheating. He should have just filed for a divorce or something because she hasn't pleaded her case other than just trying to be a psycho host, man. She sounds neurotic.

00:44:19 - 00:44:21 | Speaker 8:

Sounds neurotic. She sounds neurotic.

00:44:21 - 00:44:23 | Speaker 7:

She just called her husband cheating on her.

00:44:24 - 00:44:31 | Speaker 8:

If your spouse walked in on you and saw you in bed with another woman, you don't think she'd go a little out of her mind?

00:44:32 - 00:44:35 | Speaker 3:

No, she'd just walk over to the phone, call the police, tell everybody to get the hell out of the house.

00:44:36 - 00:44:39 | Speaker 7:

She's very different than any other girl that I know.

00:44:39 - 00:44:46 | Speaker 1:

Guess what? There's a car in the driveway. Oh, no. Oh, what should I do? Mojo in the morning. Hang up on that. Megan?

00:44:47 - 00:44:47 | Speaker 7:

Yes.

00:44:47 - 00:44:48 | Speaker 1:

Hi. What did you want to say, Megan?

00:44:48 - 00:44:58 | Speaker 7:

Hi guys, I just wanted to say I listen to you guys every Thursday on my way to school and every Thursday when you catch a cheater it's one more reason for me to never get married

00:45:00 - 00:45:04 | Speaker 2:

I have the worst anxiety from this War of the Roses show.

00:45:04 - 00:45:08 | Speaker 3:

Well, we don't mean it for that. We want you to eventually get married someday.

00:45:08 - 00:45:11 | Speaker 2:

I mean, I'm glad that you guys catch all these douchebags, but...

00:45:11 - 00:45:37 | Speaker 3:

Hey, thank you for the call. All right, so that was 2011. Wow. Okay? Coming up here next on the Mojo in the Morning show, I have an update on what's going on with Jenny and Nick. Don't go anywhere. It's the Mojo in the Morning, War of the Roses. Join the discussion now. 844-MOJO-LIVE. 844-665-6548.

00:45:38 - 00:45:42 | Speaker 2:

This is Mojo in the Morning. You're home with the phone scams.

00:45:42 - 00:47:08 | Speaker 3:

War of the Roses. And the dirty on the 30. Mojo in the Morning. Mojo in the Morning, War of the Roses. This morning on the show, you're hearing a War of the Roses that has aired for the first time since it originally aired. And to give you a little backstory, it was back 2011 when it aired the first time and only time and almost canceled War of the Roses because of what you just heard with a wife busting in on her husband with another woman in bed. And because the company got so scared about what potentially could have happened and thank God nothing bad happened, it ended up causing for a lot of panic. And then, of course, it caused for a lot of caution where in the future we were told, hey, no same house situations where they're in the home together. So I'll give you a little bit of more details on this one. We actually just checked in with Jenny, and we knew that this happened, But she and Nick divorced in 2013 and both have moved on to other relationships. But real sad situation and scary, too, you know, walking in on somebody.

00:47:09 - 00:47:41 | Speaker 2:

Denise. Yeah. Hi, Mojo. Hi. I just want to say the bottom line is that he may as well put a knife in that poor woman's heart. I have felt that pain, and that jerk who called earlier that she was a psycho, he obviously has no morals, no conscience. Because unless you know the pain of being betrayed that way, especially for a woman, he will never understand that kind of a pain. Nobody will unless they have felt that.

00:47:41 - 00:47:43 | Speaker 3:

Are you doing better now?

00:47:43 - 00:47:48 | Speaker 2:

Oh, yeah. Oh, God. I married again seven years later.

00:47:48 - 00:48:00 | Speaker 4:

But still when you hear that, like, you know, you say, oh, it happened several years ago. It still hurts, doesn't it? Because people always tell me, okay, it happened so many years ago. Get over it. But I'm like, you don't understand. It's still just, ugh.

00:48:00 - 00:48:17 | Speaker 2:

You don't get over it all the way. You will always mistrust somebody. And I just freshly divorced my second husband. We just finished, finalized our divorce. And I don't think it was cheating at all. It started when he became limo driver for a company that you guys do. Uh-oh. Okay.

00:48:18 - 00:48:25 | Speaker 3:

I wasn't involved. I want nothing to do with this. Don't blame the job. Blame the man. Thank you, by the way, for calling. Appreciate that.

00:48:26 - 00:48:27 | Speaker 2:

Circumstances, but anyway.

00:48:27 - 00:48:33 | Speaker 3:

I don't want to go into those. Remember, the limo company has to drive us to different places.

00:48:33 - 00:48:34 | Speaker 2:

I'm not saying anything bad.

00:48:34 - 00:48:35 | Speaker 3:

All right.

00:48:35 - 00:48:38 | Speaker 2:

Nothing at all. They're good people. Very uncomfortable with calls today.

00:48:38 - 00:48:51 | Speaker 3:

I'm thinking about going no calls the rest of this show because that makes me uncomfortable. We don't need a lawsuit on our hands. Derek. Hello. Hi. let's get a sensitive guy's perspective on this one instead of some of the guys we've talked to.

00:48:52 - 00:49:00 | Speaker 1:

First of all, I appreciate everything you guys do. People that cheat deserve to be caught. Unfortunately, I have to say that I was that scumbag before.

00:49:00 - 00:49:01 | Speaker 3:

Oh, you were the guy that cheated.

00:49:02 - 00:49:05 | Speaker 1:

I was, and I could go into the whole story.

00:49:05 - 00:49:06 | Speaker 3:

And you still believe that guys should be caught?

00:49:07 - 00:49:41 | Speaker 1:

No, I still believe guys should be caught. My wife and I, we had been together since sixth grade, and we have three beautiful children now. But while I was in the military, I made the worst mistake I could ever make. And, you know, I've seen how it affected my family, and it was a real eye-opener. The reason I'm calling is because I know it's unlikely, but there is still a ray of hope for a couple out there. My wife and I, she is the center of my world. I'd do anything for her, and I could never, ever hurt her in that way again because I've seen what it does.

00:49:41 - 00:49:54 | Speaker 4:

it's huge i i mean it takes balls to call up and admit that when you were listening to that and hearing jenny's reaction what were you thinking like hearing how this was going down from the

00:49:54 - 00:50:00 | Speaker 1:

other side i remember seeing what my wife's face looked like and you know i could see her heart

00:50:00 - 00:50:29 | Speaker 8:

break, and I felt the same way instantly and just realized the severity of what I'd done. Again, I mean, there's no excuse for it. Our situation was very awkward and weird. I was away in the military for a long time, and it's by no means an excuse, but it was the worst mistake I made, and I could never do that to her again, and that's why I think people, you know, whether it be to end the relationship or to try and move past it, they deserve to be caught, and it deserves

00:50:29 - 00:50:34 | Speaker 2:

to happen so you disagree with the old adage a lot of our listeners say once a cheater always a

00:50:34 - 00:51:02 | Speaker 5:

cheater uh i do yes i do uh thanks for the call man i appreciate it yep i always wanted to uh to know what it would it was would you like for somebody to walk in i mean i don't i could not imagine another man with my wife i just could not imagine it and that's why when jenny walked in and witnessed her husband with another woman this morning. It brought Pamela to call us up because, Pamela, you had that same thing happen to you?

00:51:03 - 00:51:04 | Speaker 7:

Yes, I did.

00:51:04 - 00:51:06 | Speaker 5:

And what did you do when you walked in?

00:51:08 - 00:51:15 | Speaker 7:

I went ballistic. I pretty much attacked him and I wept his ass.

00:51:16 - 00:51:19 | Speaker 5:

So you wept his ass? What about the girl? Yeah, what did she do when that happened?

00:51:19 - 00:51:27 | Speaker 7:

She ran out the back door, and actually she jumped the six-foot fence, and when the police came, she was on the front lawn.

00:51:28 - 00:51:35 | Speaker 2:

That's the same thing the guy in our War of the Rose did. They ran out the back door and ran down. And I'm thinking, like, are they naked? Because they were in bed together. Are they naked running out of the house?

00:51:36 - 00:51:37 | Speaker 7:

No, they were not naked.

00:51:38 - 00:51:55 | Speaker 2:

I got nervous, though, that the girl was going to do what you did and start beating somebody's ass and pulling somebody's hair because then that gets us in a mess. It's on the air in a War of the Rose situation, and then it's more than just catching someone cheating. All of a sudden, there's assault. And again, thank God that didn't happen, although it was.

00:51:56 - 00:51:57 | Speaker 1:

Okay.

00:51:59 - 00:52:03 | Speaker 7:

What are you doing, Nick?

00:52:03 - 00:52:10 | Speaker 5:

If you missed the entire War of the Roses, we'll have it for you again. We'll definitely do it at 9 o'clock, and we'll try to update you again coming up next hour.

00:52:10 - 00:52:25 | Speaker 4:

00:52:28 - 00:52:43 | Speaker 5:

Mojo in the Morning's Dirty on the 30. All right, Shannon, with an update right now, Dirty on the 30, just so sad yesterday. Actually, it was right after the last Dirty report that the news broke about Ellen's DJ Twitch.

00:52:43 - 00:53:53 | Speaker 1:

Yeah, and if you somehow missed that news, he died by suicide, was just 40 years old. Ellen, paying tribute to Twitch yesterday, writing, I'm heartbroken. Twitch was pure love and light. He was my family, and I loved him with all my heart. I will miss him. Please send your love and support to Allison and his beautiful children, Wesley, Maddox, and Zaya. He had left his home on Monday, giving no reason for leaving. Left his car, wouldn't answer his wife's phone calls or texts, checked into a motel near his home. And on Tuesday morning, Twitch missed his checkout time, so motel employees went to his room where they found him dead in the bathroom from a self-inflicted gunshot wound. And the staffer said nobody heard gunfire at any point during Twitch's stay, which is very possible given the motel's layout and also its proximity to a busy, noisy street right there. In the wake of his death, a former executive producer of The Ellen Show posted a video to social media. And it's interesting because it shows him standing in front of Twitch, and this producer is addressing the show's crew, saying, don't keep in the pain. And this was filmed immediately after the show wrapped its final episode back in the spring.

00:53:53 - 00:54:25 | Speaker 3:

It is a life change, and we're all going through it, and it's okay to be sad and to reach out to each other. Because nobody knows this exact experience other than the people who worked here, the people who represent Ellen, the people of Warner Brothers who have taken care of her. We have all been through this. And we went through it. And we went through it together. You guys should be proud that you stuck it out. You went through it. We got to see what we've done for 19 years. But keep each other close. Don't keep in the pain. Talk to someone. Anyone.

00:54:26 - 00:54:34 | Speaker 1:

Don't keep in the pain. Talk to someone. Anyone. The paparazzi caught up with Twitch late this past summer to see how he was doing. And this was his response.

00:54:34 - 00:54:41 | Speaker 6:

Life has been great, man. We've been honestly having a lot more time at home. Yeah. The kids are back in school. So life is beautiful, man. It's good.

00:54:42 - 00:54:50 | Speaker 5:

What was so sad was to know that they celebrated their anniversary this past weekend. But then to see their video that they did together.

00:54:50 - 00:54:50 | Speaker 1:

They did a TikTok.

00:54:51 - 00:54:59 | Speaker 5:

And they were having fun. There were such great smiles on their faces. and to not know that there was so much pain that was going on there.

00:55:00 - 00:55:14 | Speaker 2:

It's tragic. I mean, it is very, very sad. Suicide is. And if anybody is listening to the show and needs of anybody to talk to, I mean, you call us at any time. Please, we'll. But definitely, you know, there are people out there.

00:55:15 - 00:55:35 | Speaker 3:

We're not experts. I mean, but if the biggest mistake you can make is keeping it inside, and that's where around holiday times, it's always important for people who you know best. If you see a shift in behavior or somebody getting quieter than usual, help is always available. could even just text 988 anytime 24 hours a day. And I was reading yesterday about

00:55:35 - 00:55:57 | Speaker 2:

men in suicide and they were talking about this time of the year. A lot of times guys just keep it in because it's not macho, you know, it's not, uh, you know, manly to say you're hurting or in pain, man. I'm going to tell you this. It is manly and it is womanly and it is whatever to reach out to somebody and just try to ask for help.

00:55:58 - 00:56:08 | Speaker 1:

Amy Robach and TJ Holmes are still trying to make their relationship work, even though ABC yanked them both off of Good Morning America in the wake of this internal review that they're doing. When do you guys think that's going to end?

00:56:08 - 00:56:10 | Speaker 2:

Are they going to come back or are they done?

00:56:11 - 00:57:41 | Speaker 1:

They found something and they're trying to hide it. I don't know if it necessarily has anything to do with the two of them and their relationship and whether or not it violated any sort of morality clause, but we keep hearing a lot about TJ. So that's where I'm wondering if something's happening. But sources tell me they are still very much together as this all plays out. However, they are trying to keep their distance from each other because they don't want to be caught, photographed, anything right now. Not while ABC is trying to make this decision. So, I mean, their marriages are over, but they both have kids to think about. And they don't want to jeopardize their futures with ABC anymore than they already have. A lifelong New England Patriots fan who just idolized Tom Brady invested his entire life savings into FTX after Brady promoted the crypto exchange and like, you know, commercials and social media, whatever. 56-year-old Michael Liviratos moved 30 grand in crypto into the now bankrupt firm founded by Sam Bankman-Fried, who was indicted on fraud charges this week. But the lawsuit says literally overnight, Mr. Liberato's assets were robbed from him as FTX imploded, and he had to file for Chapter 11 bankruptcy protection. So this guy just hired a Florida-based attorney to file a lawsuit in Miami federal court against Tom Brady and against Shark Tank co-host, Mr. Wonderful, Kevin O'Leary, who also pitched FTX saying, I blame you because you told me to invest in this, and I did, and now I have no money.

00:57:41 - 00:58:08 | Speaker 2:

He made $15 million that Kevin O'Leary got as an endorser. All those people should have to return all that money that they got from this FTX that's now dirty money. Well, they hid it. They hid it in the Bahamas. How can they return it when they hid it? And all those political contributions, those people should return to. Can I tell you something? Anybody that does this crypto thing ever again in their lives, I'm sorry. I'd rather carry around quarters in my pocket. You know what I mean?

00:58:08 - 00:58:21 | Speaker 3:

Oh, my gosh. And when I said that a year or two ago on the air, people blew up on me. You're so misinformed and you don't understand this is the future. I'm like, it's unregulated and it's hidden and there's no trail. It's dangerous.

00:58:21 - 00:58:27 | Speaker 1:

I think it was about time that the boys had an MLM of their own. And so welcome. Exactly, it really is.

00:58:27 - 00:58:27 | Speaker 3:

Yeah.

00:58:28 - 00:58:48 | Speaker 1:

We were just talking this week about Mike's daughter, Cecily, and how she had her holiday concert. It was so sweet to see the videos from that. Well, Pink just posted a video of her daughter, 11-year-old Willow, performing at her holiday show. She did a pretty incredible rendition of Olivia Rodrigo's The Rose Song.

00:58:48 - 00:59:01 | Speaker 2:

I am more than what I am to you. Okay. I know. I've got magic that you never knew.

00:59:01 - 00:59:31 | Speaker 1:

She captioned the video, so proud of this girl. She nailed it. And imagine this. You do a white elephant gift exchange for the holiday at your office, and the gift you get is a bunch of scratch-off lottery tickets. Well, that happened to a woman from Louisville named Lori James this week. She's an office manager at a dental center. She was participating in a white elephant gift exchange with her coworkers, and at some point, a $25 TJ Maxx gift card that was meant for her was stolen by somebody else.

00:59:31 - 00:59:32 | Speaker 2:

Oh, how dare they.

00:59:32 - 00:59:40 | Speaker 1:

So, Lori decided to choose $25 in Scratch Off Kentucky lottery tickets from somebody else. She stole somebody else's gift.

00:59:40 - 00:59:40 | Speaker 2:

Oh.

00:59:41 - 00:59:48 | Speaker 1:

Great move. She ended up winning $175,000 with those Scratch Off tickets. Wait.

00:59:49 - 00:59:51 | Speaker 2:

Those Scratch Offs actually do have winners on them?

00:59:51 - 00:59:52 | Speaker 1:

Isn't that crazy?

00:59:52 - 00:59:55 | Speaker 2:

I get those Scratch Offs all the time as gifts, and I get nothing.

00:59:55 - 00:59:58 | Speaker 1:

Two bucks, maybe five bucks if I'm really lucky.

00:59:58 - 00:59:58 | Speaker 2:

Yeah.

00:59:59 - 01:00:00 | Speaker 1:

$175,000.

01:00:00 - 01:00:02 | Speaker 5:

Ryan, isn't that great? $124K after taxes.

01:00:02 - 01:00:09 | Speaker 2:

And when you say stolen from them, you're talking like the white elephant thing where you can take it on the person's. Like the way you play the game, yeah. Could you imagine if you're the person that had it stolen from you? I know.

01:01:41 - 01:01:42 | Speaker 5:

Thank you, Joe.

01:01:42 - 01:02:01 | Speaker 2:

Thank you. It's Mojo in the morning show. So my son, Luke, put together his Christmas list of what he would like from Santa. He's 17 years old, and he still gets a list to give to Santa Claus. I love that.

01:02:01 - 01:02:02 | Speaker 3:

I love it.

01:02:02 - 01:02:30 | Speaker 2:

And his Santa list is an interesting one because his list gets kind of expensive at times, all right? Video games, obviously, have always been on that list, but thank God this year they're not. He's got two very interesting things on his list. And you guys, I want you to call up right now, and I want you to tell me what's the craziest thing on your kid's Christmas list because I bet you some listeners have some really crazy ones. Luke has a brand new set of golf clubs on his list.

01:02:30 - 01:02:32 | Speaker 5:

Okay. Okay. That seems very fitting for him.

01:02:33 - 01:02:33 | Speaker 2:

Expensive.

01:02:33 - 01:02:37 | Speaker 5:

Do you know how much golf clubs that cost? I don't play golf. Expensive. I don't, but.

01:02:37 - 01:02:46 | Speaker 2:

And one of my favorite items on the list of a 17-year-old boy, Luke wants a snowblower.

01:02:46 - 01:02:56 | Speaker 1:

A snowblower? Yes. To be fair, very smart of him. Did you make a shovel? I wish I would have asked for more of those big gifts when I was younger, so I would be prepared now. So smart.

01:02:56 - 01:02:57 | Unknown:

That kid's a planner.

01:02:57 - 01:03:22 | Speaker 2:

Our neighbors have a snowblower, and Luke hates the fact that he has to go out there and shovel the driveway. And so he's done a little research, and I actually, he brought up, he puts links into his thing. Like his golf club links. I'm looking at these golf clubs and going, this kid's got more expensive taste than I do for things. But this, listen to the snowblower, Spike, and I know that you are a snowblower aficionado.

01:03:22 - 01:03:34 | Speaker 3:

Well, I used to always love just shoveling. I went out and shoveled. It was the only exercise I got in the wintertime. I always loved it. But then once I injured my back, I couldn't do it anymore on those big, heavy snow wet days.

01:03:34 - 01:03:51 | Speaker 2:

So have you ever heard, this is from the Lowe's website, Ego Power Plus Peak Power 56-volt, 24-inch, two-stage, self-propelled, brushless, cordless, electric snowblower.

01:03:51 - 01:03:52 | Speaker 3:

Oh, man.

01:03:52 - 01:04:01 | Speaker 2:

He wants to go eco-friendly with a snowblower that I would rather have the gas to put in there because this thing costs $1,500. Holy crap.

01:04:01 - 01:04:11 | Speaker 3:

You want to experience peak power. That's just a monster with two lithium batteries simultaneously. You'll never run out of juice.

01:04:11 - 01:04:28 | Speaker 2:

Of course. 17-year-olds love Elon Musk, so he thinks that this thing is the greatest thing ever. So he says, and think about this. I could do it early in the morning because I don't think it's that noisy. It doesn't have the noise to it that's on there.

01:04:28 - 01:04:34 | Speaker 3:

Well, the auger rotating is what makes a lot of the noise, too. It doesn't have an engine, but the neighbors are still going to know. But you don't get that. You don't get that.

01:04:35 - 01:04:43 | Speaker 4:

I have an electric one. You have an electric? Yeah. It's got a cord, though, so it's not necessarily exactly the same, but it's very quiet. It's called a snow Joe. I love it.

01:04:43 - 01:04:49 | Speaker 5:

Oh, I've seen those. They're like littler than, they're not like the big honking things, right? No, no, but it works for my driveway.

01:04:50 - 01:04:59 | Speaker 2:

Yeah. So, Mike, what would you do? Actually, you'd probably love this, wouldn't you? When Milo becomes of age, you're going to be Milo and Cecily.

01:05:00 - 01:05:03 | Speaker 1:

They're going to be out there doing all that driveway by themselves, right? Start stocking up now so that they can do it.

01:05:04 - 01:05:31 | Speaker 2:

Yeah, I think that's a great idea. This goes back to how cheap my parents were, but I told you the story on the air before about my dad buying me a riding mower for my 16th birthday, and I was so excited because they had a big backyard he used to make me mow. But then he also told me I had to go mow all the neighbor's yards to pay it off. I'm like, that's not a birthday gift. You just made me pay for my own gift, and he put me to work. That's child labor is what that was. So I have to warn Luke that dad might make you go out and do the neighborhood driveways.

01:05:31 - 01:05:33 | Speaker 1:

You know what? That's actually not a bad idea.

01:05:34 - 01:05:36 | Speaker 2:

Pay off that monster snow thrower.

01:05:36 - 01:05:46 | Speaker 1:

844-MOJO-LIVE, 844-665-6548. What's on your kid's Christmas list? Share it with us right now. The funniest thing that's on there. Tammy?

01:05:47 - 01:05:48 | Speaker 10:

Hi. Good morning, everybody.

01:05:48 - 01:05:51 | Speaker 1:

Good morning, Tammy. Tammy, what's on your kid's Christmas list?

01:05:52 - 01:05:56 | Speaker 10:

So my kid is an adult kid, and she wants a full set of bedroom furniture for Christmas.

01:05:56 - 01:05:58 | Speaker 3:

Oof, that's a pricey one.

01:06:00 - 01:06:07 | Speaker 10:

So, but she'll probably end up getting it. So we'll chip in. I think her brother's going to chip in. My parents are going to chip in.

01:06:07 - 01:06:07 | Speaker 3:

You know what?

01:06:08 - 01:06:09 | Speaker 10:

It's practical.

01:06:09 - 01:06:12 | Speaker 3:

It is very practical. And she'll probably have it forever and ever. Yeah.

01:06:12 - 01:06:15 | Speaker 10:

Yeah. She just moved out and bought her condo. So we'll be an adult.

01:06:15 - 01:06:16 | Speaker 4:

So we'll be an adult.

01:06:17 - 01:06:23 | Speaker 10:

And she's got her old bedroom furniture that's the white laminate kind of yellowing. So she needs to upgrade that to an adult thing.

01:06:23 - 01:06:28 | Speaker 1:

You should see if Shannon will give you her friends and family discount to Gardner White. That's right. Maybe she's got one of those.

01:06:28 - 01:06:29 | Speaker 7:

Oh, there you go. That's right.

01:06:30 - 01:06:32 | Speaker 1:

Thank you for the call. Jessica?

01:06:33 - 01:06:34 | Speaker 7:

Hi, good morning.

01:06:34 - 01:06:37 | Speaker 1:

Good morning. What's on your seven-year-old daughter's Christmas list?

01:06:38 - 01:06:44 | Speaker 7:

Well, she has two older brothers, and she put a she shed on her Christmas list.

01:06:45 - 01:06:55 | Speaker 2:

Really? Is it because of that commercial that always ran in the summer? I think so. Everybody, it was some, I forget what that was for. is, like, progressive insurance or something?

01:06:55 - 01:06:59 | Speaker 3:

I love that she just wants time away from her brothers. She wants some peace and quiet from that family.

01:06:59 - 01:07:00 | Speaker 7:

She sure does.

01:07:01 - 01:07:03 | Speaker 1:

Are you guys going to do it? Are you going to get her the she shed?

01:07:04 - 01:07:07 | Speaker 7:

Oh, well, we're going to try as best we can.

01:07:07 - 01:07:08 | Speaker 1:

I like that.

01:07:08 - 01:07:10 | Speaker 7:

Even if it is a cardboard box and she can make it her own. Yes.

01:07:10 - 01:07:14 | Speaker 1:

Remember that? That's good. Katie, what's happening?

01:07:15 - 01:07:17 | Speaker 9:

Hi. I knew you guys were going to call me.

01:07:18 - 01:07:24 | Speaker 1:

Oh, did you text in? Oh, my God, I know which one you text in. Are you the one where it's your daughter, right?

01:07:25 - 01:07:36 | Speaker 9:

Yes. My 10-year-old would like a fursuit for Christmas because she believes that she's a furry in the most innocent way possible. Oh, God. How old is she? She's 10.

01:07:36 - 01:07:39 | Speaker 2:

Okay, good. She's not showing up for her accounting job as a furry. That's good. No, no.

01:07:40 - 01:07:49 | Speaker 9:

No, no. But she would wear it to school if she could. So are you getting it for her? Well, people that actually make them, they're like $1,000 or more.

01:07:49 - 01:07:50 | Speaker 8:

Oh, really?

01:07:50 - 01:07:51 | Speaker 2:

Oh, real deal.

01:07:51 - 01:07:56 | Speaker 8:

Yeah, no, no. So we've bought materials to start to try and make one over time.

01:07:56 - 01:08:01 | Speaker 1:

So we'll see. What furry will she be? Like, what will it be?

01:08:02 - 01:08:06 | Speaker 8:

It's like a fox-like kind of character is the one that she likes. Yeah.

01:08:06 - 01:08:10 | Speaker 2:

Very nice. Just don't let her Google furry on the internet and get down any rabbit holes.

01:08:11 - 01:08:13 | Speaker 8:

I'm terrified. I know.

01:08:13 - 01:08:19 | Speaker 2:

Yeah, because literally if you Google furry, rabbit hole is not a euphemism. Crazy stuff out there.

01:08:19 - 01:08:19 | Speaker 1:

Renee?

01:08:21 - 01:08:22 | Speaker 6:

Hi, Mojo. Hi, guys.

01:08:22 - 01:08:26 | Speaker 1:

Hey, morning. What's going on? Who are we calling about? Who's Christmas list?

01:08:27 - 01:08:43 | Speaker 6:

My son, he just turned 18, and I asked him what he wants for Christmas, and he said, I have no idea. So I've been bugging about this for two months, and I still have not one thing on a Christmas

01:08:43 - 01:08:43 | Speaker 2:

list.

01:08:44 - 01:08:46 | Speaker 6:

He's left me out here in the wilderness.

01:08:46 - 01:08:49 | Speaker 2:

You want to split a snowblower with Mojo? Yes, exactly.

01:08:50 - 01:08:51 | Speaker 6:

Right.

01:08:51 - 01:09:03 | Speaker 3:

That's a dangerous place to be, though, for him. I mean, because then if you don't know what to buy him, you're going to take a stab, and it could be really, really bad. So maybe he'll learn his lesson if he gets a bunch of stuff that he doesn't really care for.

01:09:03 - 01:09:20 | Speaker 6:

I'm hoping, because so far I just went with a gaming desk and the chair and the mat, the whole room transformation. That sounds amazing. You are a good mom. I don't know if he's going to like it, but if not, he should have told me what he wanted. Yeah, that's right.

01:09:21 - 01:09:27 | Speaker 2:

Exactly. That's why I like it when they still make the Santa list, because it gets really hard when they get older to really kind of predict.

01:09:27 - 01:09:28 | Speaker 3:

My mom still makes me give her a list.

01:09:29 - 01:09:34 | Speaker 5:

Do none of y'all have Amazon lists out of just all the stuff that you want to buy that you don't have the money for?

01:09:34 - 01:09:38 | Speaker 1:

But it's not as cute as actually seeing a letter written. That's true.

01:09:38 - 01:09:38 | Speaker 5:

Very true.

01:09:39 - 01:09:41 | Speaker 1:

Melissa, what is it that your son wants?

01:09:42 - 01:10:00 | Speaker 5:

Well, he had two big ticket items on his list. One of them was the Detroit Lions, but I'm definitely not going to be able to buy them. And the other one was the actual monster truck gravedigger. Not the one at the store, the one that's actually at the show. I love that. Setting the bar very...

01:10:00 - 01:10:04 | Speaker 4:

high. That's great. Shannon, you're going to love this one. Josh, what does your daughter want?

01:10:06 - 01:10:07 | Speaker 3:

My daughter asked for two acres and

01:10:07 - 01:10:08 | Speaker 4:

a mule.

01:10:11 - 01:10:13 | Speaker 1:

Me too, but two acres and some Highland cows.

01:10:13 - 01:10:17 | Speaker 4:

And an alpaca. Tony, hi. What did your son ask for?

01:10:17 - 01:10:42 | Speaker 3:

Hi, how are you? My son actually asked me because he just turned seven. He actually asked me for a brand new Dodge truck and he wants a hotel party. Wait a second. He's seven years old wait seven years old i'm like where did you get this hotel idea from like i have no idea because i've never taken him to a hotel except for a friend's a family member's birthday party

01:10:42 - 01:10:53 | Speaker 4:

and that's oh well there you go dude that is classic your kid is the best i think that's awesome what what do you what do you currently drive what do you drive uh right now we drive a

01:10:53 - 01:10:55 | Speaker 3:

2013 Chevy Impala.

01:10:55 - 01:10:57 | Speaker 4:

Okay, yeah.

01:10:57 - 01:11:04 | Speaker 3:

And he wants a Dodge brand new, not used. He wants it brand new, and then he wants a hotel party after.

01:11:04 - 01:11:05 | Speaker 4:

Oh, my God.

01:11:05 - 01:11:08 | Speaker 3:

I'm like, you're a little too young, my son. I'm sorry.

01:11:08 - 01:11:18 | Speaker 4:

You got to go over and see my buddy Thad Zott and see if Thad Zott will get you at least a Dodge for a day or something. Who knows, okay?

01:11:19 - 01:11:23 | Speaker 3:

Yeah, well, I'll have to go see if I can rent one or see what I can do for.

01:11:23 - 01:11:23 | Speaker 4:

That's awesome.

01:11:24 - 01:11:26 | Speaker 3:

That kid's going to be a ladies' man. I know.

01:11:26 - 01:11:55 | Speaker 4:

Well, believe me, he wants the hotel party. Hey, got to wish a Merry Christmas to you or Happy Holidays, whatever you celebrate, from our good friends over at Zot Ford. They're giving you a little thank you for being there for them and being customers and just listening to Steve Gabara and Megan flirt with each other in their commercials over the course of the last year. I understand that you guys went out yesterday for lunch and had a nice long lunch with each other.

01:11:55 - 01:11:56 | Speaker 1:

How do you know?

01:11:56 - 01:12:10 | Speaker 4:

Because I called Steve Gabar because I needed something, and he bumped my call during this lunch. And I'm like, wow, Steve never usually bumps my calls like this. And then I found out that he was out with you.

01:12:10 - 01:12:14 | Speaker 1:

How does it feel to know that you are no longer Steve Gabar's number one, and it's actually me?

01:12:15 - 01:12:17 | Speaker 4:

I don't think I ever have been. I think you always have.

01:12:17 - 01:12:40 | Speaker 1:

Who paid for this lunch yesterday? Oh, that's actually so funny that you brought it up because we literally physically fought over the check. We both grabbed it at the same time. Poor server. She was so sweet. Just was staring at us as we were deadlocked with each other, trying to rip the check out of each other's hands. And then he said something very insulting and also very true and then paid the bill.

01:12:41 - 01:13:30 | Speaker 4:

Oh, well, what a guy. What a guy. He's paying. You know, he's paying for our listeners bills, too. He's going to pay for their Christmas meal. Win a $100 grocery gift card courtesy of Zot Ford, 844-MOJO-LIVE. We'll grab the 95th and 105th callers right now. 844-665-6548, 844-MOJO-LIVE. Even if you're not in the Detroit area or if you're anywhere within our listening voice and you want a brand new Ford, these guys have it for you. You can go to ZotFord or dealsinthed.com. Spike, we're going to do a phone scam right now. We're going to phone scam Don. He is the assistant manager at a grocery store, and you're going to be a customer with a little bit of a problem with the store's motorized scooter. It's a phone scam here on Mojo in the Morning.

01:13:30 - 01:13:36 | Speaker 2:

We will, we will scam you. Sorry, it's a catchy song.

01:13:37 - 01:13:40 | Speaker 4:

It's your home with phone scams. Mojo in the Morning.

01:13:40 - 01:13:50 | Speaker 2:

thank you for calling this is shauna how can i help you hi shauna can i speak to your manager

01:13:50 - 01:14:00 | Speaker 1:

please uh sure hello this is don speaking can i help you let me tell you my conundrum

01:14:00 - 01:14:24 | Speaker 2:

the mobilized shopping carts the scooters that you make available to customers with challenges or injuries yes I know what you're talking about yes thank you well I'm on one of those and I would like to first of all thank you for making that an offer for your customers second of all I would like to know if you could bring out a new scooter because this one ran out of go juice well sure we

01:14:24 - 01:14:29 | Speaker 3:

can we can bring one out to you where are you are you outside in the parking lot well no I'm a little

01:14:29 - 01:14:52 | Speaker 2:

bit further. Can you hear me over the cars? Hello? I can hear you fine. Where are you? I'm in the median of Telegraph Road. Where? Telegraph Road. I only got maybe about a quarter mile or a half mile away and if these things don't go that far then you need to let a customer know. Those things are

01:14:52 - 01:14:59 | Speaker 1:

only meant to go from inside of our store out to your car or something like that. You shouldn't have taken it as far as you've taken it. You're where again?

01:14:59 - 01:15:00 | Speaker 2:

I'm on.

01:15:00 - 01:15:28 | Speaker 3:

Telegraph Road and I don't know if I can get it back because obviously it has no more electric but also I'm a little scared of all the crazy traffic cuz of four lanes of traffic going at this speed I tried to get across the road but the light kept changing before I could get all the way across I'm really concerned for your safety being out there right me too thank you for saying so so could you bring a new one please so I can return to my car I really can't

01:15:28 - 01:15:32 | Speaker 4:

bring a new one to you, but I can call the police or something to help me if you need me to.

01:15:32 - 01:15:50 | Speaker 3:

Okay, yeah, but please, I don't want a big deal made about it, because I don't want the police to have my government name and all that business. I don't want a lot of attention. Could you just send maybe one of your employees out to bring a new one, and we can swap? I'd really like to help you. What are you feeling in, like, the cookie genre right now?

01:15:51 - 01:15:52 | Speaker 4:

The cookie

01:15:52 - 01:16:00 | Speaker 3:

genre? Well, yes, as a manager of a store, like, what kind of cookies are you recommending? because if I get back there on a new scooter, I want to buy some cookies.

01:16:01 - 01:16:03 | Speaker 4:

Ma'am, I'm just really worried about getting you back in our parking lot.

01:16:04 - 01:16:21 | Speaker 3:

No, I know, and I hear you. It's just that I ate all my cookies here while I was waiting for help. So I'm going to definitely need to get some new cookies. And also, Don, let me ask you this. What do you call an employee that shops at another grocery store?

01:16:23 - 01:16:24 | Speaker 4:

Ma'am, I really just need to know your location.

01:16:24 - 01:16:31 | Speaker 3:

A Trader Joe. Get it? A Trader. These cookies taste horrible. I'm not getting these again.

01:16:32 - 01:16:34 | Speaker 4:

Tell me exactly your location again.

01:16:35 - 01:16:38 | Speaker 3:

I'm sitting in this chair waiting for you to come get me.

01:16:39 - 01:16:42 | Speaker 4:

Ma'am, I just don't know. I can try my best.

01:16:42 - 01:17:01 | Speaker 3:

Telegraph Road, right? You know where that is. It's the biggest, busiest street. I know. Also, did you know that if you stroke your husband's t-shirt with one hand and a kiwi with the other and close your eyes, you won't feel the difference? And that's why I'm not allowed to shop at your competitor anymore?

01:17:01 - 01:17:06 | Speaker 4:

This is one of the strangest things I've ever had to do with my life. Me too, right?

01:17:07 - 01:17:13 | Speaker 3:

You're really going to think this is strange when I tell you this is Spike and you've just been the victim of a mojo in the morning phone scam.

01:17:15 - 01:17:19 | Speaker 2:

You can thank Wendy and the crew for the idea. They just phone scammed you.

01:17:20 - 01:17:28 | Speaker 4:

Oh, my God. I can't believe we even got this far in the phone call. Hey, make sure you tell all your listeners to come stock up here for their holiday party.

01:17:28 - 01:17:31 | Speaker 2:

Oh, look at this guy. He's a company guy.

01:17:32 - 01:17:36 | Speaker 4:

Exactly. We will, we will scam you.

01:17:38 - 01:17:40 | Speaker 1:

You're whole with the phone scams.

01:17:40 - 01:17:42 | Speaker 3:

Hi, baby. Can I ask you a question?

01:17:44 - 01:17:46 | Speaker 1:

This is Mojo in the Morning.

01:17:48 - 01:17:52 | Unknown:

What's up? Make the noise.

01:17:54 - 01:17:59 | Speaker 4:

for Mojo, Mike Shannon, for Mojo in the morning.

01:18:02 - 01:18:26 | Speaker 1:

Mojo in the morning. Commercial free. We're in the middle of that right now, so you guys are at a good time to be driving. I know the weather is kind of yucky, so be careful. I just got a text from a friend of mine, a little north, saying that they got some snow going on right now, like sleety snow, so be careful of that. A lot of rain last night.

01:18:27 - 01:18:33 | Speaker 2:

This is part of that big storm that's been blown across the whole country. And some places are getting two feet of snow. Other people getting tornadoes and rain.

01:18:34 - 01:18:38 | Speaker 1:

Did you see that down south in New Orleans? They said downtown New Orleans.

01:18:38 - 01:18:44 | Speaker 2:

And Texas, too. Dallas. Places that normally don't see any kind of violent weather this time of year. Yeah.

01:18:45 - 01:19:24 | Speaker 1:

All right. Thank you for being here with us. It's Mojo in the Morning. Mojo, Spike, Shannon, Megan, Mike, KP, Lydia, Katie, Reese. All good to have you here with us today. It's nice to have you join us. Phone number is 844-MOJO-LIVE, 844-665-6548. Text is 95500. Still to come on the show, I kind of, like this morning during our show meeting, I said, I'm not going to tell you guys about the War of the Roses. I just want you to listen and when you heard the War of the Roses this morning was it not like

01:19:24 - 01:19:40 | Speaker 2:

worth waiting for oh my gosh it put me right back into all those office meetings we had after after we recorded it with lawyers and I mean authorities all kinds of stuff that trouble that came out of that War of the Roses I totally forgot about it if you missed us playing

01:19:40 - 01:19:59 | Speaker 1:

the War of the Roses in the seven o'clock hour you're going to want to listen at nine o'clock this morning or at very least go back and check out our podcast that we'll have of it today but it was the War of the Roses that for more than a decade we were not allowed to play and we played it for the first time this morning and it was the War of the Roses

01:20:00 - 01:20:49 | Speaker 2:

that almost canceled the War of the Roses. So stick around, and we'll have that again for you. In just a matter of moments, the awkward first day. Also, the Christmas gift is ruined, and being divorced on Christmas blows. We'll talk about all that and more coming up this hour on the Mojo in the Morning Show. And we've got a jam-packed, like, next 30 minutes of the show, including your chance to win some more free cash. Actually, we only have, I think, a few more qualifiers for Mojo's Mistledoe and a chance to win $10,000. So make sure that you're listening this hour coming up here in just a few. All right, it is Mojo in the morning show. This is the most awkward time of the year to get a new job. And Megan, you experienced this at the I Heart Toledo offices.

01:20:50 - 01:20:59 | Speaker 3:

Yeah, and if our boss, Tony, is listening, he's not hearing me admit to this. But I think that I should read my e-mails a little bit more often.

01:20:59 - 01:21:04 | Speaker 4:

We all know that already. You're not so best at communicating.

01:21:05 - 01:21:23 | Speaker 3:

I don't know if you remember, but I believe it was so long ago that it was yesterday that I said, man, I heard Toledo was having a Christmas party. Turns out we did. I didn't read the e-mails. So did you totally miss it? You said we did. It already happened? Yeah, it was yesterday when I wasn't here.

01:21:23 - 01:21:28 | Speaker 4:

Oh my gosh, yesterday morning you were bitching about not having a Christmas party.

01:21:28 - 01:22:28 | Speaker 3:

And I was bitching to Tony yesterday going, I wish I would have known that this Christmas party had an ugly sweater contest. I would have brought something. He was like, you did know. I emailed you. I went, oh. But he should know better. He should text me because I'm not going to write the email. It's just, it's not going to happen. Anyways, moving forward from that. We had a new guy start for the first day yesterday, which was our Christmas party here in Toledo. And I think that's the stupidest first day. I feel so bad for the kid because not only did they have, like, all of these festive activities for people who already know each other, there was a potluck that he probably didn't bring anything to. And then if I was him, I'd feel awkward eating if I didn't bring anything. There was a gift exchange that he just wasn't a part of. so everybody was doing a gift exchange and then he did it. Like, who thought, you know, what day would be great? The day that that person can't participate in anything to start their job here.

01:22:29 - 01:22:36 | Speaker 2:

Although, did they give you guys, like, a gift card or anything like that as a gift? Because what a day. Megan wouldn't know. You haven't even worked. Yeah, it's true.

01:22:37 - 01:22:38 | Speaker 3:

It was probably in the email.

01:22:39 - 01:22:44 | Speaker 2:

You haven't even worked, you know, a day and you're already getting a Christmas gift from the company.

01:22:45 - 01:22:49 | Speaker 3:

But wouldn't you feel awkward if your first day was the Christmas party?

01:22:49 - 01:23:22 | Speaker 2:

Yes, well, I would. I have seen this happen a lot. You know, we restaff sometimes, and especially it seems like the sales department will restaff, and these people will come here, and they'll get their feet wet over the holidays when nobody's really in the office. And I always think to myself, the Christmas party is like a weird place to go to, but especially because you don't know who's somebody that you work with who somebody's like a spouse, you know? That is really true. If you're doing it. And then you're like walking around going, man, I feel crazy.

01:23:22 - 01:23:25 | Speaker 4:

And you're supposed to try and remember 80 names that day from everybody in me.

01:23:25 - 01:23:32 | Speaker 2:

But isn't it a good time to do it? Because you're forced to, I mean, not that you wouldn't go around and talk to people, but you're probably, other people are probably busy when you're starting at other times.

01:23:32 - 01:24:12 | Speaker 4:

Yeah, I can see it that way too. Like it makes it easy that everybody's in a good mood. They're probably drinking a little bit, maybe. I don't know. When I was in college, I had a temp job that was at an advertising, like graphic design. They would actually do print ads. And the lady hired me She goes oh by the way when you start Monday it's spirit day And you're supposed to wear like the craziest outfit ever I spent the whole weekend sweating Thinking she's playing a prank on me I was sure she was saying that So the weird first guy first day Would show up in this crazy outfit So I just wore crazy like these bright purple shoes And brought a change of shoes in my bag Because I was like I'm just going to say Wear crazy shoes for spirit day Because I don't want to get caught in this whole outfit And find out everybody else's normal clothes

01:24:12 - 01:24:18 | Speaker 3:

Imagine everybody's having this Christmas party, and you're in the corner on the computer taking your training.

01:24:18 - 01:24:23 | Speaker 2:

Oh, yeah. That's true. What's up, Mojo, in the morning? Hi, Nikki.

01:24:24 - 01:24:24 | Speaker 1:

Hi.

01:24:25 - 01:24:25 | Speaker 2:

Hey, what's up?

01:24:26 - 01:24:53 | Speaker 1:

Oh, gosh. I had my first day on Tuesday, and it was at the Christmas party. It was so awkward because my boss was not there, nor the other HR lady. So I'm introducing myself. Hi, I'm Nikki. I'm with sales. And no one even, like, said their names. I barely knew I'm like I met with a girl named Lindy or Lindy and it was so awkward but you know I'm really outgoing so I just kind of made the best of it but I sat there and just ate my chicken

01:24:53 - 01:25:00 | Speaker 4:

and you know we did a thing like 12 years ago do you guys remember sending me down the street there was a big office building

01:25:00 - 01:25:09 | Speaker 5:

that was built and you sent me to just show up at a random christmas party and see how long i could go yeah as a street scam just introducing myself to people and see who would notice that i don't

01:25:09 - 01:26:39 | Speaker 3:

work there i will i drive by that building anytime we go to uh big tommy's i drive by that building all the time and think about you and remember it was like because there was a smoke break area too and like you're walking out and i kept thinking about the fact that if that happened in our building with some of these new salespeople that are here i have no idea sometimes who they're like i would have no idea yeah like i i don't know sometimes who to let in and who not to let in at the front door you know because you're sitting there not an excuse to stop letting me in by the way stop doing that well you're always incognito you know what i mean you're always wearing that santa hat of yours and stuff um i i think that this time of the year is an interesting time of the year for starting new jobs but it's also an interesting time when kids transfer schools have you seen that that will happen from time to time like at school like a kid will transfer like i think you should transfer at the beginning of semesters for these kids like beginning of school year yeah beginning of like in maybe even january there have been sometimes where like i look look goes to a catholic school that's a very like it's a really really nice school that a lot of a lot of kids like, or a lot of parents want, you know, when things got crazy with COVID and stuff, we're transferring their kids into it. And Luke would tell me stories about like new kids that would start in class. And I thought to myself, man, it's got to be like brutal because you're coming in and you're trying to meet people and it's like the end of the year. And can you imagine you're a kid that transferring in and you're like a junior in high school or whatever? That's got to be really tough.

01:26:40 - 01:26:55 | Speaker 2:

I did it in the middle of a year to a small school where my grade only had 90 kids. And so everybody had been in school together for seven years, and they all knew each other intimately. That would be tough. And it was the most awkward thing in the entire world. Yeah.

01:26:55 - 01:27:25 | Speaker 3:

I remember the new boy that transferred into our school. It was in grade school. It was at St. Mike's. And I remember that the kid was, like, this good-looking kid. Like, he was one of those kids whose mom did his hair in the morning, and yet he was, like, eighth grade. and he was like no but no guy wakes up and does their hair that good like mom's definitely like a hairstylist and he came to school and every girl all of a sudden is like flirting with him and i want to show him around and all stuff and all of us guys were like this guy's a dick yeah

01:27:25 - 01:27:30 | Speaker 4:

but were all those girls flirting with you before he came anyway never they didn't even recognize me

01:27:30 - 01:27:44 | Speaker 3:

yeah yeah i would come to school and i would have like you know spaghetti stains from the night before his dinner on my uh on my shirt what's up when you were wearing those big glasses Oh, Shannon, why do you bring that up? The rose-colored ones.

01:27:44 - 01:27:45 | Speaker 4:

We've got to post that picture.

01:27:45 - 01:27:47 | Speaker 3:

No, no, no, we don't. We've done that too often.

01:27:47 - 01:27:52 | Speaker 4:

Don't you have one dress for a Christmas service where you're wearing, like, the robe, the altar boy robe?

01:27:52 - 01:28:05 | Speaker 3:

No, can I tell you the funniest thing? You know what I found the other day? Can I tell you the pictures that I found? And I showed it to Luke, and Luke was dying laughing. Hold on, let me see if I got it. Oh, here you go. This is me on Santa's lap.

01:28:06 - 01:28:16 | Speaker 5:

Yes, I've seen that picture before. You can hardly see Santa. We need to post that. It's a tradition now. Come on. Santa's like poking around. You were the biggest little boy that probably sat on his lap that day.

01:28:16 - 01:28:25 | Speaker 3:

If you look at the picture closely, Santa Claus, his face is squinting because his leg is about to lose all the blood in it.

01:28:25 - 01:28:26 | Speaker 5:

How old were you in that picture?

01:28:27 - 01:28:32 | Speaker 3:

Honestly, can I tell you? Honestly, I think I was in like the third or fourth grade. No, you weren't that.

01:28:32 - 01:28:34 | Speaker 5:

You look like a football linebacker.

01:28:34 - 01:28:39 | Speaker 3:

Have you seen the picture of that kid that's like the 12-year-old football player with the mustache? Okay, he's not 12 years old.

01:28:39 - 01:28:41 | Speaker 4:

That kid is in his 20s.

01:28:41 - 01:28:47 | Speaker 2:

Dude, I went to school with a kid who had a full beard when he was 11. He looked like a 30-year-old man when he was 11.

01:28:48 - 01:28:54 | Speaker 3:

That kid has tattoos, though. Yeah. I know. It's crazy. Yeah, that picture is unbelievable. Jackie, what's up? It's Mojo in the Morning.

01:28:55 - 01:28:58 | Speaker 1:

Hey, Mojo. First time, long time.

01:28:58 - 01:28:58 | Speaker 3:

Yay.

01:29:00 - 01:29:37 | Speaker 1:

I was just calling because a few years ago I was leaving work. I worked downtown Birmingham. It was a long day, so I walked over to a bar. And I walk in, and there's, like, a table there. I'm like, whatever, it's dead. I sit down. He serves me a beer. Then all these people come in, like, dressed so nice. So I'm like, so the bartender, what's going on? And he's like, oh, this is, like, a work party for a company I had no association with. And I'm like, oh, my God, like, do I need to leave? And they're like, no, no, no. So I ended up grabbing, like, a name tag. I was talking to people. They were taking professional pictures. I was in, like, five pictures.

01:29:38 - 01:29:42 | Speaker 4:

Ah, that's great. And did you have to pay for your drink, or did you just throw it on the company's tab?

01:29:43 - 01:29:46 | Speaker 1:

No, I paid for the drink. I wasn't getting involved in any of that.

01:29:46 - 01:29:49 | Speaker 3:

But did it make you want to work for this company? Were they that nice of people?

01:29:51 - 01:29:54 | Speaker 1:

Yeah, I think so. I got someone's number. It was funny.

01:29:55 - 01:29:57 | Speaker 3:

That's cool. That's a funny story. What's up, Shelly?

01:29:58 - 01:30:02 | Speaker 1:

Hi, Mojo. This is a... First-timer. Yay. Long-timer. How are you? Thank you.

01:30:03 - 01:30:04 | Speaker 4:

Love having new listeners.

01:30:04 - 01:30:22 | Speaker 1:

So, yes, I just wanted to call in and let you know that I started a new job right after the holidays, but I was invited to the Christmas party tonight. Oh. And I'm freaking out because I know the hiring manager, and that's it. So I have to go there and meet all these people that I have, and I don't know who they are.

01:30:22 - 01:30:24 | Speaker 3:

Where is the party, and will there be alcohol?

01:30:25 - 01:30:35 | Speaker 1:

Yes, there will be alcohol and hors d'oeuvres. So, but there will be a lot of like representatives from the company and just a bunch of people. I have no idea who they are.

01:30:35 - 01:30:38 | Speaker 4:

Can I be honest with you? Don't overdrink.

01:30:38 - 01:30:42 | Speaker 2:

Yeah. Because especially if you're not even starting until after the holiday.

01:30:43 - 01:30:57 | Speaker 1:

Yes. Yes. And she thought it was a good idea that I come in. So I'm going to have to, you know, keep that in the back of my mind. Don't overdo it because, you know, I could tend to get a little, you know, I'm nervous. Oh, boy. You know, drinks are flowing. So.

01:30:57 - 01:31:01 | Speaker 4:

Yeah. Yeah, everybody will be talking about the new girl in the office after this one.

01:31:01 - 01:31:03 | Speaker 1:

I know, right? I don't want that title.

01:31:03 - 01:31:05 | Speaker 4:

Hey, congratulations. Good luck in your new job.

01:31:05 - 01:31:07 | Speaker 1:

Thank you, everybody. Merry Christmas.

01:31:07 - 01:31:08 | Speaker 4:

Merry Christmas.

01:31:09 - 01:31:17 | Speaker 3:

Mistletoe, for HR purposes, is purely decorative this time of year, much like Mojo's camel toe. This is Mojo in the Morning.

01:31:20 - 01:31:37 | Speaker 4:

Mojo in the Morning show. They do it all the time. They ruin Christmas. It's Mojo in the Morning, so, Spike, we've talked about this numerous times, and I still don't get why nobody has figured this out, that at this time of the year they can't be delivering packages like that.

01:31:37 - 01:32:38 | Speaker 3:

You know, this is the second time this year Amazon has ruined a gift for me. Remember Meg's birthday when they delivered the mixer I got her in the original box and a day early because I planned it on a day where she would be at her office all day and I could be home to get the box. Well, they shipped it a day early, and they didn't use the Amazon packaging, even though i clearly checked the box well they did that again this this is exactly what they did i i uh sent a picture we're going to post on our social media the gift that showed up on the porch yesterday megan's son is learning to read in kindergarten and he could clearly see the word toys written in eight inch letters on the side of the box and she asked to have it shipped in a plain amazon box they give you that option when you buy it it'll say this is shipped in its original packaging check here if you'd like it to be in a nondescript plain amazon box and that's what we did well on the side of this giant box toys and the other side hot wheels ultimate car wash oh my gosh it's like thank you mattel thank you amazon for putting well it's not mattel's fault i guess

01:32:38 - 01:32:48 | Speaker 4:

those are the greatest that's like the greatest gift ever too well it's like the one because how do you wait now that you know that you know you know it's in the house somewhere yeah and she's

01:32:48 - 01:32:59 | Speaker 3:

She quickly grabbed it and was like, oh, all these old empty boxes are coming in handy. Try to make something out of it and hopefully put it away so maybe he'll forget for 10 days.

01:32:59 - 01:33:26 | Speaker 2:

I've learned my lesson with that one so many times. It has bit me in the butt. And you know, last year, I think I talked about this. It wasn't the packages that were delivered to the porch. It was the Amazon Echo Show that I have sitting on my kitchen counter. It tells you when a package was delivered. And if you touch it, it'll tell you exactly what it was. Oh, jeez. And so Luce was finding out all sorts of stuff that was delivered because it was just telling everybody what they had just dropped off. I had to change the settings on that.

01:33:26 - 01:33:33 | Speaker 3:

Plus, then you also had to tell Santa, listen, Santa, we got this. Now Santa has to come up with some new things.

01:33:33 - 01:33:33 | Speaker 2:

Something else, that's right.

01:33:33 - 01:34:28 | Speaker 4:

Don't you think that technology has been easy for your shopping? It's great, right? But it's also ruined everything around the fun and spirit of surprising kids. like it's not as fun like we were talking you know a little bit ago about putting together your amazon wish list and stuff like that and to be perfectly honest with you the joy of going through an old-fashioned jc penny catalog you know or toys r us uh you know the book that would come that christmas book that would come or the now the target red book and the amazon book although i'll be honest with you none of those compares at all to that that jace or that toys r us one That Toys R Us That one that would come And we would fight for it in our house And even my boys would fight for it early Before Toys R Us was no more That thing was A kid's dream to go through

01:34:28 - 01:34:31 | Speaker 3:

And we would get the markers so you could color code

01:34:31 - 01:34:51 | Speaker 4:

Priority, number them Do you remember when you would go through it In the back of the thing It was almost like they had The high price items in the back And I remember you'd start off And they'd be like Legos and things And then as you got through it, all of a sudden they, it would like go up and up and up. And by the end of the whole thing, you could drive like the same car that your mom drives. Yeah.

01:34:51 - 01:34:59 | Speaker 3:

You know, but I would remember, I'd get the Toys R Us catalog back and I'd be like, Nicole, you circled everything, like everything on every page. So I'd give her stickers and go here.

01:35:00 - 01:35:04 | Speaker 5:

sticker one thing on each page you know in each section that you like the most so get back and

01:35:04 - 01:35:39 | Speaker 1:

all the everything and stickers on it so what we did was we would get the scissors out the ones of course that had the curved end because i would kill myself with the other ones and i would cut the pictures and then my brother bill would come out and go hey jackass and by the way this is how we talked to each other when we were like five and seven and eight and he would go i wanted the thing on the other side, so Santa's not going to know what I want, because on the other side of the thing was something that he wanted. And what we would do is we would then paste it on there, and my mom would have to go to Toys R Us, get another one of the things, so that we'd go through it.

01:35:39 - 01:35:40 | Speaker 6:

So that Bill could have his own.

01:35:40 - 01:35:44 | Speaker 1:

So Bill could have it. You know. Oh, I love making a Christmas.

01:35:44 - 01:35:48 | Speaker 6:

I would color coordinate mine. This would be like red, orange, yellow, green, blue, purple.

01:35:48 - 01:35:49 | Speaker 5:

And rewrite it every week. Just beautiful.

01:35:50 - 01:35:51 | Speaker 6:

Yep. I know, yeah.

01:35:51 - 01:35:56 | Speaker 1:

Spike, your girlfriend Meg, did she let her son have his gift early, or no?

01:35:56 - 01:36:00 | Speaker 5:

No, no. If she snatched it up quickly, Hoving, he would forget what he saw.

01:36:01 - 01:36:02 | Speaker 6:

They don't forget.

01:36:04 - 01:36:05 | Speaker 1:

Brad, what's up?

01:36:06 - 01:36:08 | Speaker 2:

Hey, first time caller, Mojo.

01:36:08 - 01:36:09 | Speaker 1:

Hey, buddy. What's happening, man?

01:36:10 - 01:36:41 | Speaker 2:

Oh, not much. My boss actually was telling me the other day, he has like a four-year-old daughter, and they get Amazon delivered to their house all the time, and she's usually home during the day. And she goes to open the door After her Amazon package got delivered And they didn't even put it in the Amazon box It was just the Christmas gift Just handed over Like the Lego box So she opened the door And there was the Lego box Right there on the doorstep

01:36:41 - 01:36:48 | Speaker 1:

They've gotten so lazy with this thing They're not even hiding it I guess they have that many packages to deliver It's hard to do that

01:36:48 - 01:36:53 | Speaker 2:

Right, they just threw the address right on the Lego box And threw it on the doorstep

01:36:53 - 01:37:05 | Speaker 1:

Yeah, that's the other thing, too, is that you want to be able to wrap it up, but then all of a sudden it's wrapped up with your address completely stuck right on the side of the thing. Tate, we are voice disguising you. What's up?

01:37:07 - 01:37:33 | Speaker 7:

Hey, yeah, I just wanted to say that I work for Amazon, the fulfillment company. And we're told how to pack things. And sometimes it will tell you, you know, don't put it in a box. It says ship in containers. we're told to ship in containers but especially around this time of year if I get one of those and I think it's a gift you know it's not like a pack of paper towels I definitely put it in an Amazon box. Yeah that's smart and so

01:37:33 - 01:37:35 | Speaker 6:

appreciated. Yeah

01:37:35 - 01:37:41 | Speaker 7:

just because that's happened to me before you know I bought my significant other and showed up on our doorstep

01:37:41 - 01:38:12 | Speaker 1:

Oh man well that's nice of you that's nice that you take the time it's funny you voice disguised yourself I thought you were going to say that you don't do that and that was your like I'm thinking to myself like why would she want to be voice guys like that actually if i worked uh with you at amazon and i was your supervisor i'd be like give it up for tate for doing a great job for us i just don't know what their policies are of calling in yeah i get it smart uh thanks for the call uh angelica what's up hi um so i used to

01:38:12 - 01:38:32 | Speaker 4:

work at amazon delivering and when i was a driver and i saw a box out of the toy box you can actually have the option to call the customer and I would do that and ask them where they wanted me to put it and so the kids wouldn't be seeing it and they thanked me so much every time for doing that during the holidays. Oh, I bet.

01:38:32 - 01:38:38 | Speaker 1:

God, it's amazing how nice you two guys are. You guys are amazing. Why don't you deliver to my neighborhood because I feel like I get to

01:38:38 - 01:38:49 | Speaker 4:

damage goods all the time. It's so important to me to keep the holiday spirit in and the kids believing so I always called and they appreciated it. Very sweet.

01:38:49 - 01:38:52 | Speaker 1:

Very nice of you. Thank you so much for the call. We appreciate you calling in.

01:38:53 - 01:38:53 | Speaker 3:

Thank you.

01:38:54 - 01:38:55 | Speaker 1:

What's going on, Deja?

01:38:57 - 01:39:22 | Speaker 3:

Hey. Hi. I was calling to tell you guys a story about one time my mom, she bought Christmas gifts early, and she bought my brother like a PlayStation 5. I mean, not 5, a PlayStation 3. And he used to open it when she would go to work and play it until she got home. And then he would put it back in the box And close it back up and hide it With the other gift That's my boy

01:39:22 - 01:39:37 | Speaker 1:

I love that That is so great And it's funny because that was actually us too Like as kids We would find out the hiding spot We would play with the toys And sometimes it's funny to even wear them You know if they were outfits

01:39:37 - 01:39:49 | Speaker 3:

Yes he's my younger brother So he's like come on You know you want to open a gift Open a gift with me open a gift with me and i'm like no i don't want to get in trouble i never ever ever tried to

01:39:49 - 01:40:00 | Speaker 6:

figure out what i was getting my dad put the fear of god in us because we knew where his hiding spot was in his house it was like upstairs in this

01:40:00 - 01:40:18 | Speaker 3:

like old cedar closet that he had. I think I've told this before. And he put a penny underneath the door that would swing open of this closet. And he warned my sisters and I, if this, I know exactly this penny's location. If it is moved at all, you don't get anything that's inside this closet for Christmas. So we were too scared.

01:40:18 - 01:40:22 | Speaker 1:

You were the valedictorian of your school. And you couldn't figure out how to replace a penny?

01:40:22 - 01:40:26 | Speaker 3:

Dude, my dad. I was not messing with him.

01:40:26 - 01:40:27 | Speaker 1:

That's unbelievable.

01:40:27 - 01:40:29 | Speaker 3:

I was not messing with him. I wanted my gift.

01:40:30 - 01:40:45 | Speaker 1:

I love it. This time of the year is a very happy, but also can be a very sad time of the year. And Shannon wants to bring up this morning something on the air that I think that there's a number of our listeners that can relate to it.

01:40:45 - 01:41:06 | Speaker 3:

It is my, it's actually my least favorite moment of the whole entire year. And I dread it every year. And I have dreaded it for the past three years now. And it's, I know it's coming up, so I can already feel it in my chest a little bit. But it's the moment on Christmas Day when I have to leave my kids. It is gut-wrenching.

01:41:06 - 01:41:09 | Speaker 1:

Wow. How does it work as far as, you guys split time?

01:41:09 - 01:42:55 | Speaker 3:

Yes. So Andrew and I split and we have the same arrangement for Christmas every single year. And it's my family celebrates Christmas Eve. That's always been our thing. So the kids and I go to church on Christmas Eve and then we head down to my mom's house on Grosseal and my family all comes over there and we celebrate. And then I will come back to my house. And depending on the year, every other year we do switch this. I have to take them to Andrew's house this year and so they'll wake up at his house on Christmas morning. I'll go over there in the morning when they wake up. We'll do our Christmas but then he gets Christmas day and so at some point on Christmas morning after the presents are all open and we eat breakfast, it's time for me to leave and it's the worst feeling in the whole entire world because for the rest of the day, I'm like, oh, I wish I was with my kids. I wonder what they're doing and still you know three years later i am just dreading it this year so is christmas day just a really tough one for you then it is like the morning is so happy and i love i love that we will still do that this year of you know we will watch them open their gifts together and stuff but when it's time for me to go um i hate it i mean i cry i cry really really freaking hard And I was reminded of this yesterday because I was talking to, I had to drop off something for a loose at her school. And I ended up getting into a conversation with one of her teachers who actually I did not know was divorced. And she asked me, she said, what are you doing on Christmas day this year? You know, after you have to leave the kids. And I'm like, oh, don't even remind me that it's coming up. But she's like, I drink so many mimosas that I put myself to sleep.

01:42:56 - 01:43:10 | Speaker 1:

Wow. You know, it's wild because, you know, I didn't experience divorce of my parents and didn't haven't been divorced from my wife. So I'll give you my kids. I mean, if you're really.

01:43:11 - 01:43:26 | Speaker 3:

What I've started doing is I will go to my dad's house because my dad and my stepmom will be by themselves. And so that's actually been really nice to be able to spend time with them. But it's still like I love my dad and I love my stepmom. Oh, my gosh, so much. It's I mean, I would I would love to be.

01:43:26 - 01:44:05 | Speaker 1:

Can I tell you that anytime that Chelsea and I have ever had like real tough times in our marriage, I honestly think about the holidays and what it would have been like and what it could be like, God forbid, if we had to celebrate Christmas or Easter or other holidays separately. And it kind of has been one of my things that has helped me kind of get through some tough times. But I think when you're telling me this, this is gut-wrenching for a lot of people. I think there's a lot of people like you who, you know, you want to be with your kids at all times. And yet they should be with their dad also, right? And it's probably awkward if you guys are all together at the same time, even though you get, I don't know.

01:44:06 - 01:44:19 | Speaker 3:

Well, and we are going to be together in the morning. It's just I know that moment of when I leave Anders' house and I go back to my house in the morning and it's just me and the dog. And there's nothing. It's just quiet. It's the worst.

01:44:19 - 01:44:20 | Speaker 1:

Kirsten wants to talk to you. What's up, Kirsten?

01:44:21 - 01:44:51 | Speaker 2:

Hi, Shannon. And I go through literally the exact same thing every Christmas. I'm also going on my third year doing it and leaving my kids. It's awful on Christmas. And I do the same thing. I go to my mom and my stepdad's house. So I totally feel you. But what's helpful is they get so excited about going to their dad's and spending time with their family over there. That's helpful to me, knowing that they're happy there, you know. So just try to remember that, Shan. Yeah.

01:44:52 - 01:44:53 | Speaker 1:

Ashley, hi.

01:44:54 - 01:44:54 | Speaker 2:

Hello.

01:44:55 - 01:44:57 | Speaker 1:

Good morning. What's going on?

01:44:58 - 01:45:00 | Speaker 2:

I just wanted to talk about...

01:45:00 - 01:45:02 | Speaker 5:

being a child of divorced parents around the holidays.

01:45:02 - 01:45:04 | Speaker 3:

That's a good perspective to bring in, yeah.

01:45:05 - 01:45:14 | Speaker 5:

Yeah, it's super stressful, especially as you get older. Like, I'm 23 now, and my parents will be planning things on certain days, and just trying to make it everywhere at once is super hard.

01:45:15 - 01:45:24 | Speaker 2:

Yeah. Yeah, and that's me as well. I mean, my parents got divorced when I was in kindergarten, so I always split my time on Christmas. So I get it, you know, from both sides.

01:45:25 - 01:45:35 | Speaker 3:

Has it ever been tough for the kids, like where the kids just didn't want you to leave, Or, like, has that ever happened? Or even on Christmas Eve with them not being with their dad?

01:45:35 - 01:45:47 | Speaker 2:

No, because I think they're so excited. Like, they're still little and just so excited to spend time, you know, with cousins on both sides and open more gifts on both sides. That's, like, the only good part about being a kid in a divorce situation is you get presents on both sides.

01:45:47 - 01:46:00 | Speaker 4:

And you guys have been blessed that you and Andrew get along. So that the fact if there was a troubled time, you welcomed each other to help make it easy for the kids. Yeah. You didn't ever put the kids in an awkward position. You put them first. Yeah.

01:46:01 - 01:46:02 | Speaker 3:

What's going on, Jenna?

01:46:03 - 01:46:06 | Speaker 7:

How are you? Shannon made me cry.

01:46:08 - 01:46:08 | Speaker 3:

Yeah.

01:46:08 - 01:46:21 | Speaker 7:

I'm sorry. I had my moment yesterday. Yeah, she made me cry. My kids are adults, and I very rarely see them on Christmas, and I'm home alone on Christmas Day.

01:46:21 - 01:46:43 | Speaker 4:

Well, that's the part I didn't want to bring up to Mojo when he was talking about how he always thinks about how lucky he is. He's the family unit every holiday. Mojo and I are about to enter that second phase of where the kids move away and start their own lives. And, I mean, Mojo, this might be one of the last years all three of your kids are under the same roof because everybody's moving into different parts of the country.

01:46:43 - 01:46:59 | Speaker 3:

Well, I think as long as they all are not married with their own kids, we'll hope that they'll come home. Because I try to like have our house be kind of like the family stone, so to speak, you know, like that, that movie where everybody comes home.

01:46:59 - 01:47:02 | Speaker 4:

Sometimes they want to alternate. Yeah, I get that. Yeah.

01:47:03 - 01:47:17 | Speaker 3:

I'll be perfectly honest with you. I'll be perfectly honest with you. I actually, you know, think about that often. I think it's gonna be harder for Chelsea than it will be for me. Yeah. Because I am a non-sensitive a-hole. I'm sorry, what were you saying?

01:47:17 - 01:47:20 | Speaker 7:

My son's a police officer, so he always works.

01:47:21 - 01:47:26 | Speaker 3:

Oh, yeah. Oh, yeah. Thank him so much for what he does.

01:47:27 - 01:47:29 | Speaker 7:

Thank you. Merry Christmas.

01:47:29 - 01:47:42 | Speaker 3:

Merry Christmas to you. What's happening? Hold on a second here. Who do I grab? Let's grab something here. I don't know what to grab. Well, Nicole's doing it.

01:47:42 - 01:47:43 | Speaker 4:

She's got a good solution.

01:47:43 - 01:47:45 | Speaker 3:

Okay. Nicole, what's your solution?

01:47:47 - 01:48:18 | Speaker 6:

No, I just wanted to tell Shannon I understand what she's saying because this is my first year my daughter's father moved out of state but she's going to texas for christmas this year so i'm very beyond depressed because she's my only child um but what me and my sister and my cousin are doing or we're getting together for a girl's brunch that morning because her daughter's going with her dad so so instead of being at home being sad we're gonna get together like watch christmas movies and have mimosas it's great mimosas make everything better

01:48:18 - 01:48:20 | Speaker 2:

For a little while at least

01:48:20 - 01:48:33 | Speaker 3:

And you can also order Chinese food Which is always good too It's a good thing to have on Christmas I always say that that's my favorite thing All my Jewish friends have Chinese food On Christmas for some reason That's like the thing that they'll do

01:48:33 - 01:48:34 | Speaker 4:

Because they're the restaurants that are open

01:48:34 - 01:48:36 | Speaker 3:

That's it, yeah It's like a Christmas story

01:48:36 - 01:48:40 | Speaker 4:

Mojo in the Morning's Dirty on the 30

01:48:40 - 01:48:49 | Speaker 3:

Alright, we're going to get the dirty on See what's trending You've got to stick around for the War of the Roses It's worth listening to We'll have that at 9 o'clock this morning. What's going on, Shannon?

01:48:49 - 01:48:58 | Speaker 2:

So DC Studios co-head James Gunn has announced that he's running a new feature film about Superman. But the very hot Henry Cavill won't be suiting up this time.

01:48:59 - 01:49:02 | Speaker 4:

Has anybody done a wellness check on J-Towers?

01:49:02 - 01:49:03 | Speaker 2:

Oh, what the heck?

01:49:03 - 01:49:06 | Speaker 4:

He posted that thing so fast yesterday on his social media.

01:49:06 - 01:49:35 | Speaker 2:

So James Gunn tweeted, we just had a great meeting with Henry and we're big fans. And we talked about a number of other exciting possibilities to be working together in the future. But no Superman. And Henry confirmed this news, confirmed he's not going to be reprising the role of Superman. He put this statement on Instagram and part of it said, it is sad news, everyone. I will, after all, not be returning as Superman because he just said a couple of months ago that he was going to be. After being told by the studio to announce my return back in October prior to their hire, this news isn't the easiest, but that's life.

01:49:35 - 01:49:36 | Speaker 3:

Who do you think they'll get?

01:49:36 - 01:49:36 | Speaker 2:

Wait, wait, wait.

01:49:36 - 01:49:45 | Speaker 1:

What's going on with Henry Cavill? Because he's no longer Geralt in The Witcher. He's no longer going to be Superman. What is going on?

01:49:45 - 01:49:47 | Speaker 4:

I don't know. Man, maybe.

01:49:47 - 01:49:49 | Speaker 1:

No, I don't think everybody speaks so highly.

01:49:49 - 01:49:54 | Speaker 4:

His statement was made with grace. I think he's hoping to get, you know, pulled back in.

01:49:54 - 01:49:59 | Speaker 1:

Do we think he's going to get a Sherlock because of Enola Holmes on Netflix? No idea what you're talking about.

01:50:00 - 01:50:02 | Speaker 5:

You haven't seen Anola Holmes with Millie Bobby Brown?

01:50:02 - 01:50:06 | Speaker 4:

It's really good. She goes very deep, though, with her.

01:50:06 - 01:50:09 | Speaker 5:

I love that. These are super popular shows. I understand that.

01:50:09 - 01:50:16 | Speaker 3:

Yeah, I'm just so far behind. I love it because then I get to figure out what to finally watch because Megan's test drove everything for us.

01:50:16 - 01:50:21 | Speaker 1:

Somebody said they want someone younger in the role of Superman, but I'm like, younger? He's young. He's young.

01:50:22 - 01:50:27 | Speaker 4:

Yeah, but I didn't think any of the Superman movies were that great. No. They were okay. They're not like Batman movies. Uh-uh.

01:50:27 - 01:51:33 | Speaker 1:

Since the release of Harry and Meghan on Netflix A source telling me that Prince William Sees his relationship with his brother as over The damage is beyond repair at this point I mean, not really shocking to me A friend of William and Kate's Who also used to be really close to Harry Is saying the relationship between the brothers is over It doesn't make a great deal of difference What's in the films that are released this week Actually released today The general feeling is not going to be anything That they haven't said before And he, he being William, will not forgive Harry at this point for spilling all of this gossip. And Harry knows more than anybody how much the privacy, you know, the aspect of privacy means to William and to Kate because he feels the same. I mean, that's part of why he's doing what he's doing. But it was one of the things that drew them together. And so this friend is saying it's just sickening to William that Harry, who knows exactly how distressing this is for him, is now selling the family out to the media. Now, as for King Charles, this friend said the last thing that he wants to do is pour fuel on this fire, so we will not hear any sort of commentary from him.

01:51:34 - 01:51:38 | Speaker 4:

Charles is in his own world. He doesn't even know he has children. You know?

01:51:38 - 01:51:41 | Speaker 1:

Have you watched yet? I have not. Have you watched any of it yet? Are you going to?

01:51:41 - 01:51:53 | Speaker 4:

No, because Megan's going to be mad at me for saying this, but I don't really care for Megan and Harry. I think I'm part of the generation that thinks that they're whiny, and I like- You're insane.

01:51:53 - 01:51:56 | Speaker 1:

I think you would like them even more if you watched it.

01:51:56 - 01:51:57 | Speaker 4:

I'm pro-William and Kate.

01:51:57 - 01:51:59 | Speaker 1:

You are literally? Yes.

01:51:59 - 01:52:02 | Speaker 5:

This is not the take that you think it is. I apologize.

01:52:03 - 01:52:17 | Speaker 4:

I apologize, Megan. I'm sorry, but I am a traditionalist, and they killed the queen. Let's move on to the next story. I thought you didn't even like the royal family. The queen would have lived to 200 years old if it wasn't for Megan. Oh, my God.

01:52:17 - 01:52:17 | Speaker 1:

All right.

01:52:17 - 01:52:20 | Speaker 3:

They never gave Queen Victoria a Netflix special.

01:52:20 - 01:52:53 | Speaker 1:

Moving on, Elon Musk revealing last night that he is taking legal action against that teenager who runs the Twitter account that is tracking his private jet flights. Jack Sweeney is this kid's name. He's a University of Central Florida freshman. And apparently, in addition to running this Twitter account, he was also to blame for a stalking incident that happened on Tuesday. Elon tweeted last night a car carrying Lil X, his two-year-old son, in L.A. was followed by a crazy stalker thinking it was me who later blocked car from moving and climbed onto hood. Did you see what the guy looked like? Oh, yeah.

01:52:53 - 01:52:54 | Speaker 4:

He was wearing like a mask and stuff?

01:52:55 - 01:53:09 | Speaker 1:

Yep, yep, yep. So Elon suspended this kid's account yesterday morning, said any Twitter account doxing real-time location info as anyone will be suspended now because it is a physical safety violation. I do know at least 25 other Twitter accounts.

01:53:09 - 01:53:13 | Speaker 3:

But how does the police say that when he got rid of the whole staff that was in charge of monitoring that stuff?

01:53:13 - 01:53:36 | Speaker 1:

At least 25 other Twitter accounts tracking billionaires' private jets travel were suspended yesterday as well. And Billie Eilish is playing three shows in L.A. this week to wrap up her tour. And I want to play this for you because it's so beautiful and just in the Christmas spirit. Near the end of the first show, she invited all of her fans to join her in singing Have Yourself a Merry Little Christmas.

01:53:48 - 01:53:50 | Speaker 3:

Oh, that's nice.

01:53:50 - 01:53:51 | Speaker 4:

Where is this at?

01:53:52 - 01:54:04 | Speaker 3:

This is L.A. L.A. Jingle ball? No, she finished the whole tour, and then she surprised her fans by announcing two hometown shows to finish. Yeah. And she said, no opening acts because I want to play super extra long shows and do every song I've recorded.

01:54:04 - 01:54:21 | Speaker 5:

And she's been doing Christmas covers. Do we think that she's going to do a Christmas album? I hope so. Because when she did her tour in the U.K., she used the vocals of the crowd on one of her songs. So I'm wondering, is she recording a Christmas album and she's trying to do that same thing again with the L.A. audience? I like that theory.

01:54:21 - 01:54:22 | Speaker 1:

A whole bunch, if it's true.

01:54:22 - 01:54:25 | Speaker 3:

It would have to be for next year, right? Yeah. Because it's too late to drop a Christmas album.

01:54:25 - 01:54:32 | Speaker 5:

Is it? Oh, yeah. She sent over the theme song for Jamie Rohn the night before it was due. Maybe this is the last song on the album.

01:54:32 - 01:54:37 | Speaker 4:

I hear a rumor coming out that she's going to play Superman and they're going to do a female Superman.

01:54:37 - 01:54:40 | Speaker 1:

For all of today's Dirty, check out the Dirty page at thedreamthewinning.com.

01:55:00 - 01:55:01 | Speaker 3:

Isn't that awesome?

01:55:02 - 01:55:03 | Speaker 5:

Yeah, that's so cool.

01:55:04 - 01:55:06 | Speaker 3:

Congratulations to you. Could you use a little money right now?

01:55:07 - 01:55:10 | Speaker 5:

Oh, my gosh. I haven't got a paycheck in a year.

01:55:10 - 01:55:33 | Speaker 3:

Oh, my God. Well, we've got to get you this. Yeah, $10,000 is what you're qualified for. I deal with you. Thank you so much for this. We haven't had a break in like an hour and a half, and I do have to go to the bathroom. We'll come back with War of the Roses in moments and more chances for you to win. Taylor Swift, Tess. Oh, jeez. 01:55:45 - 01:56:21 | Speaker 3:

Merry Christmas from Mojo in the Morning. mojo in the morning is your home of the phone scams the war of the roses and the dirty on the 30 phone number 844 mojo live 844-665-6548 uh before we get into anything else on the show Mike wants to ask a question when is it okay for him to do this and Mike, what is this?

01:56:22 - 01:56:28 | Speaker 4:

So, you know the expected mother's parkings in like malls and restaurants and all over?

01:56:28 - 01:56:30 | Speaker 1:

Oh, how I miss that.

01:56:30 - 01:56:42 | Speaker 4:

When are you technically allowed to park in those? Because I think you're allowed to park in them the second you're expecting. Like the second you're pregnant Ally should be able to park in those. Oh yeah, absolutely.

01:56:42 - 01:56:46 | Speaker 3:

And for those that don't know, Mike, your wife is pregnant right now, right? How far along is she?

01:56:47 - 01:56:51 | Speaker 4:

Weeks-wise, I don't know the exact, like, she's better about that, but I know she's due in June.

01:56:51 - 01:56:54 | Speaker 3:

Okay. Why do you say no, Megan?

01:56:54 - 01:57:03 | Speaker 5:

I think it's meant for those prego mamas that are in the waddle phase. I think if you're doing the waddle, you get the shorter distance.

01:57:03 - 01:57:11 | Speaker 1:

Let me tell you, when you're in the nauseous phase and every step you take wants to make you throw up, you get to use that expectant mom's parking as well.

01:57:11 - 01:57:13 | Speaker 5:

Okay, I'll give you that. I'll give you that. Nauseous and waddle gets it.

01:57:14 - 01:57:15 | Speaker 1:

That's first trimester. Okay.

01:57:15 - 01:57:20 | Speaker 2:

Yeah. God, if you're that nauseous, do you really want to go in a mall? Sometimes you have to. Yeah.

01:57:23 - 01:57:33 | Speaker 3:

Interesting. This is an interesting little dilemma here. Mike, you want to use it not for your wife because you feel like she has a hard time. You just want to get closer to the door, don't you?

01:57:34 - 01:57:39 | Speaker 4:

Absolutely, I want to get closer to the door. But yes, I only do it when she's with me. I wouldn't do it without her with me. Oh, yeah.

01:57:40 - 01:57:40 | Speaker 3:

Yes.

01:57:40 - 01:57:41 | Speaker 1:

It's a definite perk.

01:57:41 - 01:58:03 | Speaker 3:

But you have her with – are you like – you know, you're like my buddies who have, like, grandmas that are handicapped, and they'll say, hey, grandma, let's grab lunch together. And then they go pick up the grandma at their house or their senior living place. Hey, grandma, can you go back in there and go get your handicapped tag from your car? You know, the guys that do that.

01:58:04 - 01:58:11 | Speaker 4:

I've even done it with – decided I want to go run errands with the kids because I have a stroller in the car, and they have stroller parking too.

01:58:11 - 01:58:25 | Speaker 2:

so that's legit that's easier people could spot the stroller it's a little harder because like expectant mom parking and veteran parking those things are more the honor system because you don't know who is really parking in those spots so i think maybe it's more up to uh mama's gut

01:58:25 - 01:58:32 | Speaker 1:

feeling of it does ally feel like you milk every hour you can out of that parking spot

01:58:32 - 01:58:36 | Speaker 3:

i went to dr warner's office it's by the same day you did and they had that whole building

01:58:36 - 01:58:38 | Speaker 2:

is surrounded by handicapped parking.

01:58:38 - 01:58:50 | Speaker 3:

And it's all in veterans parking, too, and expectant moms. They have more parking spots for more different types of people, and then there's no other parking at all besides that.

01:58:50 - 01:59:21 | Speaker 2:

So I'll tell you who's the worst ever, and it's Walmart. And listen, they have lots of handicapped parking spots, and I'm all for it, although I never understood why they do the sideways parallel parking thing Walmart does with those. Oh, it's the worst part. But then they also have 12 spots for online order pickups. and reserve parking spots with signs for pregnant and expectant mothers, for law enforcement partners, for military and veterans, and, of course, all the corral bins to return your carts. Plus, RVs and vans can camp out overnight in their lots, so you literally can't park within a half a mile of the store doors.

01:59:22 - 01:59:29 | Speaker 5:

Is that a parallel, though, to be fair, to ensure that people don't park next to them? Because a lot of people were parking in the straight lines, and then you couldn't get your wheelchairs in an aisle.

01:59:29 - 01:59:45 | Speaker 2:

But they have those with handicap parking where they just put an aisle between them, and they paint the blue lines in an aisle so you can have ramps and everything. So, well, they're only like half the size of parking. The parallel thing takes literally five spots to move in one car or one van. You know what I mean?

01:59:46 - 01:59:53 | Speaker 3:

You know what I would like to get rid of is so many carry-out parking places. I agree with you. That ruined everything.

01:59:54 - 01:59:54 | Speaker 2:

Yeah.

01:59:54 - 01:59:55 | Speaker 3:

There's too many.

01:59:55 - 01:59:57 | Speaker 2:

The online order pickup spot's got to go now. Yeah, those can go.

01:59:57 - 01:59:58 | Speaker 3:

What's up, Lexi?

02:00:00 - 02:00:20 | Speaker 1:

So I wanted to disagree with Megan because I feel like as soon as a woman finds out she's pregnant, you don't know if she's high risk or not. And a lot of the times, like, you can't really, I was high risk with all three of my pregnancies. And there was a couple of times I snuck out to go grab something and I parked there. Like when babies are us is over by great lakes and I had some women yell at me and I was like, um, I'm actually pregnant. I may not look like it, but you know,

02:00:20 - 02:00:38 | Speaker 3:

the parking police are the worst. The people that are going to yell at you and that's the same with handicapped spots. Like even, you know, mojo's condition could have easily killed him when he had the aortic aneurysm and like you can't tell by looking at someone what i want to park i need to park right and to be fair because

02:00:38 - 02:00:50 | Speaker 7:

i was called out i like to defend myself here if you're high risk of course you should be going in there yeah but we're talking about like the normal people who are maybe like six weeks pregnant like

02:00:50 - 02:01:02 | Speaker 4:

do you have it and if you're really high risk if you're really high risk there's no asterisk on If you're really high risk, do the order and then have them bring it to your car in one of the curbside spots.

02:01:03 - 02:01:17 | Speaker 7:

It always just makes me feel bad when, I don't know, I just feel like if I was pregnant and then I saw somebody park way farther away that was straight up hours away from giving birth and I was just like, do-do-do-do-do, I would feel bad.

02:01:17 - 02:01:22 | Speaker 3:

Well, that's why I said you got to leave it up to the mama's gut and pregnant mom gets to decide, do I need this parking space or not?

02:01:22 - 02:01:29 | Speaker 9:

You want to know when you really want it is not even when you're pregnant. it's when you have to carry that car seat over your arm.

02:01:29 - 02:01:32 | Speaker 7:

They should get poking close to the door. That is the worst. Yes.

02:01:32 - 02:01:38 | Speaker 4:

And remember, who is it that wants this parking spot? The lazy husband. The lazy husband. Mike, Mike, Mike, Mike.

02:01:38 - 02:01:40 | Speaker 7:

I'm the one that's in the wrong on this topic.

02:01:41 - 02:01:43 | Speaker 4:

I think you're wrong, wrong, wrong, wrong.

02:01:44 - 02:01:45 | Speaker 7:

I love the texture.

02:01:45 - 02:01:46 | Speaker 9:

I'm forgetting who the real villain is, Michael.

02:01:47 - 02:01:48 | Speaker 4:

What's the texture?

02:01:48 - 02:01:52 | Speaker 9:

I love the texture that says, I say park there as soon as your period is late, if you're trying.

02:01:55 - 02:01:55 | Speaker 4:

What's up, Bailey?

02:01:56 - 02:02:12 | Speaker 6:

So I actually got to say that I really agree with Megan on this, and I feel like we should all be courteous about being mothers who are bigger. I've had three children now, and two of the pregnancies were high risk, and I definitely didn't start using that until I was out of breath.

02:02:13 - 02:02:16 | Speaker 7:

Okay. I appreciate you. Well, you're a nice person. I just want to let you know that I love you.

02:02:16 - 02:02:19 | Speaker 9:

Everybody else, you park there as soon as you get that positive pregnancy test.

02:02:21 - 02:02:22 | Speaker 4:

Morgan, what's happening?

02:02:23 - 02:02:37 | Speaker 5:

Hi. Okay, so kind of to counter what Bailey just said, I think there's a downside to those parking spots when you're plus size or you're just somebody that doesn't show because I've been scolded and shamed out of parking there when I was 38 weeks pregnant because I didn't look that large.

02:02:37 - 02:02:43 | Speaker 3:

Yeah. Well, again, that goes back to our announcement here. Stop scolding strangers. You don't know what's going on in their personal health life.

02:02:44 - 02:02:44 | Speaker 4:

Yeah.

02:02:44 - 02:02:45 | Speaker 5:

Exactly.

02:02:45 - 02:02:47 | Speaker 4:

Thank you for the call. Take care of yourself.

02:02:47 - 02:02:55 | Speaker 3:

Thanks. I stubbed my toe really hard. Remember I broke my toe a couple weeks ago celebrating the Michigan win? There is no parking spot for me.

02:02:55 - 02:03:05 | Speaker 4:

Well, those people that do that, like where they just have like an ankle sprain or something, and then they call their doctor and ask for a handicap. Yeah, it's a little much. I see these people that do that, and you're like, all right.

02:03:05 - 02:03:12 | Speaker 3:

What about a sign of parking spots that says pregnant, question mark, and it's for people like really nervous that have to go in and buy a pregnancy test to see it.

02:03:12 - 02:03:14 | Speaker 4:

Right, to go into the door.

02:03:14 - 02:03:15 | Speaker 3:

You're going through a lot.

02:03:15 - 02:03:16 | Speaker 4:

Cheryl, what's happening?

02:03:18 - 02:03:19 | Speaker 2:

Hi, Mojo.

02:03:19 - 02:03:19 | Speaker 4:

Hi.

02:03:21 - 02:03:28 | Speaker 2:

I met you at Red Robin. I was the 4.30 drinker, remember?

02:03:28 - 02:03:33 | Speaker 4:

Oh my gosh, yes That's right, the early birds We loved you What's going on?

02:03:35 - 02:03:41 | Speaker 2:

So she wanted me to talk to you guys Because I parked in one of those spots When my daughter-in-law was pregnant She wasn't even with me

02:03:41 - 02:03:45 | Speaker 4:

Oh, come on, that's not nice That's wrong

02:03:45 - 02:03:52 | Speaker 2:

Okay, listen, I think those spots are stupid Because women that are pregnant Need to walk It should be for women

02:03:52 - 02:03:59 | Speaker 4:

Cheryl we better put you back at the bar They need the exercise you're saying

02:03:59 - 02:04:06 | Speaker 2:

It should be for women With infant children They need it worse

02:04:06 - 02:04:07 | Speaker 4:

You know what's funny

02:04:07 - 02:04:09 | Speaker 3:

You need to tire the kids out before they get in this store

02:04:09 - 02:04:18 | Speaker 4:

I am going to tell you this Cheryl It is funny for me being a bigger man How I will circle the wagons 20 times just to get one spot Closer

02:04:18 - 02:04:21 | Speaker 8:

When in reality

02:04:21 - 02:04:29 | Speaker 4:

I should get a little bit more steps into my routine, you know? But for some reason, I feel like it's a win if you get closer to the store.

02:04:29 - 02:04:35 | Speaker 8:

That is my uncle mom. By the time you finish circling, you could have just parked over there and walked in.

02:04:35 - 02:04:42 | Speaker 3:

Right, right. Plus, if I see you hovering, I'm not leaving the spot. Now it's a contest. I'm waiting.

02:04:42 - 02:04:48 | Speaker 4:

You know what I end up doing? I circle five times, and if I can't get through five times, I do the valet mall parking at that particular moment.

02:04:48 - 02:04:52 | Speaker 6:

This is Mojo in the Morning Live.

02:05:00 - 02:06:21 | Speaker 1:

Mojo in the Morning Show. All right, so I'm going to give you a little backstory, and then I'm just going to let you listen, okay? Backstory is that War of the Roses has been on this radio show for many, many years, and there have been a couple of times where the War of the Roses got us into some deep doo-doo. One time, it happened way back when, actually like more than a decade ago. And it all stemmed from what you're about to hear and will be the first time since it aired live on our show because we were told by lawyers that we could never air it again until just recently. And you'll understand why when you hear this. So it's one of those things where normally I like to save any of our replays for War of the Roses for when we're off on vacation or we're sick or something like that. But this was one I think that we had to air and we had to do some explanation on. So we had to be here for it. When you hear this War of the Roses, I'm going to tell you this, it's going to give you chills. So take a listen. It's the Mojo in the Morning show. This is the first time that this War of the Roses will have aired on our show.

02:06:22 - 02:06:31 | Speaker 2:

since we got in some major trouble catching cheaters and proud of it i'm sorry it's your home for war the roses on mojo in the morning jenny thinks that her husband is

02:06:31 - 02:06:37 | Speaker 1:

cheating and jenny you think he's cheating in your own house i i don't know but i i just have

02:06:37 - 02:06:43 | Speaker 3:

this feeling i've been like hey my husband lost his job and um and so he's at home during the

02:06:43 - 02:06:49 | Speaker 1:

day and i'm still at work so he's got so he's got a lot of time at home by himself because there's You guys don't have kids?

02:06:50 - 02:07:18 | Speaker 3:

No, we don't have any kids. Is that the only reason that you think that he's cheating? No, it's like these weird things. Like the other day, I was in the bathroom, and I found a ponytail holder, which is not mine. And I know it's not mine because it's a black ponytail holder, and I have blonde hair, so I don't use black ponytail holders. And when I asked him, he told me that when he was at the gym, it was on the floor. He picked it up. He must have just put it in his bag, and then he thought it was mine.

02:07:18 - 02:07:31 | Speaker 1:

Okay. Okay, now, boy, you're racing through this. Just calm down and take a deep breath for a second. What is it about the fact that you think that he also has had possibly somebody come back to your house?

02:07:31 - 02:07:39 | Speaker 3:

A neighbor the other day told me that there was a car in the driveway, and I confronted him on that, and he completely denied it.

02:07:40 - 02:07:47 | Speaker 1:

Wow. So you think that he was having somebody over at the house, and then obviously he didn't want you to know about it?

02:07:47 - 02:07:50 | Speaker 3:

Yeah, and he's been acting really strange.

02:07:51 - 02:08:03 | Speaker 1:

Will you just hang on the phone for a second? And what we'll do is we'll call him up. We'll see where he'll send a dozen free roses. Okay. And then we'll bring you on and we'll talk to him about what's going on.

02:08:03 - 02:08:04 | Speaker 2:

And she's nervous.

02:08:05 - 02:08:13 | Speaker 1:

She's talking so fast. All right, hold on one second. We're calling up. We want the roses to go to Jenny. We're calling Nick, her husband. Okay.

02:08:17 - 02:09:39 | Speaker 4:

I can't get the key in the car.

02:09:39 - 02:09:41 | Speaker 1:

Don't go inside there.

02:09:41 - 02:09:46 | Speaker 4:

I'm going inside. First, I need the number. I'm sorry, the name of the person you want to send them to.

02:09:48 - 02:09:50 | Speaker 2:

I'm going to send them to Maria.

02:09:52 - 02:10:07 | Speaker 3:

Okay. What are you doing? You got it. We need to take a break here

02:10:07 - 02:10:13 | Speaker 2:

and get her out of the house. This is the home of

02:10:13 - 02:10:14 | Speaker 6:

The War of the Roses.

02:10:14 - 02:10:15 | Speaker 9:

Mojo in the Morning.

02:10:17 - 02:10:32 | Speaker 1:

To give you a quick update, just a second ago, we did The War of the Roses. We called a guy who was suspected of cheating. His wife, we did not know, was near the home and actually saw a car in the driveway and then went inside while the War of the Roses was happening.

02:10:32 - 02:10:37 | Speaker 6:

Who can do that? What are you doing?

02:10:38 - 02:10:43 | Speaker 2:

What the way is that? Jenny, Jenny, Jenny, go back out in your car. Jenny.

02:10:50 - 02:10:53 | Speaker 3:

Calm down. Jenny, just relax. Jenny.

02:10:54 - 02:11:04 | Speaker 2:

All right. Now, if you're asking people, text them, saying, why would you cut off? We're kind of concerned for people's safety for a second there, because obviously we don't want them all to be in the same room.

02:11:04 - 02:11:06 | Speaker 1:

Jenny, what's going on this morning? What's happening?

02:11:06 - 02:11:17 | Speaker 7:

He is in my bedroom with that whore who I said I knew this was going on. Her car is in the driveway. That is her goddamn f***er.

02:11:17 - 02:11:22 | Speaker 6:

Oh, my God. Oh, my God. This is unbelievable. Holy s***. I don't know what to do.

02:11:22 - 02:11:29 | Speaker 2:

You need to get a cool head here and just take a second, take a breather. Why don't you go back out in the driveway so we can talk to you for a second? Where is Nick at?

02:11:30 - 02:11:38 | Speaker 4:

Oh, my God. Nick, Jenny, where did Nick go? He's out with her. They ran. They ran in the backyard. Oh, my God.

02:11:39 - 02:11:43 | Speaker 1:

You have to seriously get out of that situation right now and pull out of there.

02:11:44 - 02:11:48 | Speaker 2:

Yeah, you guys shouldn't be talking to each other right now until you cool your head for a second.

02:11:48 - 02:11:51 | Speaker 6:

I can't believe, I cannot believe he would do this to me.

02:11:51 - 02:12:01 | Speaker 1:

We want you to hang on for a second, and then we'll come back to you and make sure you're okay and make sure your sister has an opportunity to talk to you. and we'll grab some calls for some listeners here. Autumn, hi.

02:12:01 - 02:12:03 | Speaker 7:

Hey, how's it going?

02:12:03 - 02:12:05 | Speaker 1:

What's up? War of the Roses, you want to make a comment?

02:12:05 - 02:12:27 | Speaker 7:

Yeah, I do. First of all, if I found my husband or significant other cheating, I love you guys, I listen to you every morning, but I wouldn't pick up the phone and call you. If I picked up the phone, I'd be throwing it at him. And the second thing is, you guys should not be telling her to calm down. You guys should be telling her, go beat that girl, Jason.

02:12:27 - 02:12:54 | Speaker 1:

Well, I got to be honest with you. We do have to worry. I mean, we have to be really careful of that. And we've never had that happen. And I'm going to tell you this. We have a policy on the show where we've never done War of the Roses when somebody's been in the same house with the person. Just because there needs to be a cooling off period. And that's why when this happened, that was awkward for us. What are you doing? Mojo in the morning. Hi, Kay.

02:12:55 - 02:13:22 | Speaker 8:

Hello. Good morning, everyone.

02:13:22 - 02:13:23 | Speaker 1:

What's up, Candace?

02:13:23 - 02:13:24 | Speaker 5:

Hi there. How are you?

02:13:25 - 02:13:26 | Speaker 1:

Okay. What did you want to say about this?

02:13:27 - 02:13:43 | Speaker 5:

I just want to let you know that I didn't catch my ex-husband cheating on me, but actually I was cheated on while I was pregnant with my daughter, and I was left three days after she was born. So it was actually...

02:13:43 - 02:13:47 | Speaker 1:

So you know the feeling of being cheated on before, so you can relate to what she's going through.

02:13:47 - 02:14:03 | Speaker 5:

Yeah, exactly. And three days after she was born, I was left. And I have actually, he was, I have a- Did you catch him in the act? I didn't catch him in the act, but I was, I went back to the house after we were separated and found a condom in his pants.

02:14:04 - 02:14:05 | Speaker 6:

Oh, man.

02:14:05 - 02:14:11 | Speaker 5:

It was a horrible mess, and he, we're actually divorced, and he is now remarried as of Mother's Day weekend.

02:14:11 - 02:14:14 | Speaker 2:

Right, so tell me he didn't have something going on. Yeah.

02:14:14 - 02:14:30 | Speaker 5:

You know, they don't change, and whatever, so be it. But I feel for this Jenny girl, and I agree with Kay. You know, she's going to end up moving on and everything, and at least they caught it now. And this guy is going to probably keep on doing it. And I feel for her, but you know what? They don't change.

02:14:30 - 02:14:30 | Speaker 1:

Star?

02:14:31 - 02:14:31 | Speaker 9:

Yes, sir.

02:14:32 - 02:14:32 | Speaker 1:

What's up?

02:14:32 - 02:14:34 | Speaker 5:

How you doing, Mojo?

02:14:35 - 02:14:41 | Speaker 1:

I'll get to be honest with you. My heart's racing a little bit. I kind of feel sick right now. I don't feel so hot right now.

02:14:41 - 02:14:51 | Speaker 9:

Hey, by no means do I condone cheating. He should have just filed for a divorce or something because he hasn't pleaded her case other than just trying to be a psycho host, man. She sounds neurotic.

02:14:52 - 02:15:00 | Speaker 2:

She sounds neurotic. She sounds neurotic. She just walked in on the guy. If your spouse walked in on you and said,

02:15:00 - 02:15:03 | Speaker 6:

saw you in bed with another woman, you don't think she'd go a little out of her mind?

02:15:04 - 02:15:12 | Speaker 3:

No, she'd just walk over to the phone, call the police, tell everybody to get the hell out of the house. She's very different than any other girl that I know.

02:15:12 - 02:15:21 | Speaker 2:

Guess what? There's a car in the driveway. Oh, no. Oh, what should I do? Mojo in the morning. Hang up on that. Megan? Yes. Hi, what did you want to say, Megan?

02:15:21 - 02:15:35 | Speaker 5:

Hi, guys. I just wanted to say, I listen to you guys every Thursday on my way to school, and every Thursday when you catch cheater it's one more reason for me to never get married i have the worst anxiety from this

02:15:35 - 02:15:40 | Speaker 2:

war of the roses show uh well we don't mean it for that because we want you to eventually get

02:15:40 - 02:15:45 | Speaker 5:

married i mean i'm glad that you guys catch all these douchebags but hey thank you for the call

02:15:45 - 02:16:01 | Speaker 2:

all right so that was 2011 okay coming up here next on the mojo in the morning show I have an update on what's going on with Jenny and Nick. Don't go anywhere. It's the Mojo in the Morning, War of the Roses.

02:16:03 - 02:16:15 | Speaker 3:

Join the discussion now. 844-MOJO-LIVE. 844-665-6548. This is Mojo in the Morning. Your home of the phone scams.

02:16:15 - 02:17:42 | Speaker 2:

War of the Roses. And the dirty on the 30. Mojo in the Morning. Mojo in the Morning, War of the Roses. This morning on the show, you're hearing a War of the Roses that has aired for the first time since it originally aired. And to give you a little backstory, it was back 2011 when it aired the first time and only time and almost canceled War of the Roses because of what you just heard. With a wife busting in on her husband with another woman in bed. And because the company got so scared about what potentially could have happened, and thank God nothing bad happened, it ended up causing for a lot of panic. And then, of course, it caused for a lot of caution where in the future we were told, hey, no same house situations where they're in the home together. So I'll give you a little bit of more details on this one. We actually just checked in with Jenny And we knew that this happened But she and Nick divorced in 2013 And both have moved on to other relationships But real sad situation And scary too, you know, walking in on somebody Denise?

02:17:42 - 02:17:43 | Speaker 6:

Yeah, hi Mojo

02:17:43 - 02:17:44 | Speaker 2:

Hi

02:17:44 - 02:18:14 | Speaker 6:

I just want to say the bottom line is is that he may as well put a knife in that poor woman's heart. I have felt that pain, and that jerk who called earlier and set you as a psycho, he obviously has no morals, no conscience, because unless you know the pain of being betrayed that way, especially for a woman, he will never understand that kind of a pain. Nobody will unless they have felt that.

02:18:14 - 02:18:15 | Speaker 2:

Are you doing better now?

02:18:16 - 02:18:20 | Speaker 6:

Oh, yeah. Oh, God. I married again seven years later.

02:18:20 - 02:18:33 | Speaker 4:

But still when you hear that, like, you know, you say, oh, it happened several years ago. It still hurts, doesn't it? Because people always tell me, okay, it happened so many years ago. Get over it. But I'm like, you don't understand. It's still just, ugh.

02:18:33 - 02:18:50 | Speaker 6:

You don't get over it all the way. You will always mistrust somebody. And I just freshly divorced my second husband. We just finished, finalized our divorce. And I don't think it was cheating at all. It started when he became limo driver for a company that you guys do. Uh-oh. Okay. Yeah.

02:18:51 - 02:18:58 | Speaker 2:

I wasn't involved. I want nothing to do like this. Don't blame the job. Blame the man. Yeah. Thank you, by the way, for calling. Appreciate that.

02:18:59 - 02:19:00 | Speaker 6:

Circumstances, but anyway.

02:19:00 - 02:19:07 | Speaker 2:

I don't want to go into those. Remember, the limo company has to drive us to different places. No, no, no. I'm not saying anything bad. All right.

02:19:08 - 02:19:11 | Speaker 6:

Nothing at all. They're good people. Thank you, Denise. Very uncomfortable with calls today.

02:19:11 - 02:19:24 | Speaker 2:

I'm thinking about going no calls the rest of this show because that would make me feel uncomfortable. We don't need a lawsuit on our hands. Derek. Hello. Hi. Let's get a sensitive guy's perspective on this one instead of some of the guys we've talked to.

02:19:24 - 02:19:33 | Speaker 1:

First of all, I appreciate everything you guys do. People that cheat deserve to be caught. Unfortunately, I have to say that I was that scumbag before.

02:19:33 - 02:19:34 | Speaker 2:

Oh, you were the guy that cheated.

02:19:35 - 02:19:38 | Speaker 1:

I was, and I could go into the whole story.

02:19:38 - 02:19:39 | Speaker 2:

And you still believe that guys should be caught?

02:19:40 - 02:19:59 | Speaker 1:

No, I still believe guys should be caught. My wife and I, we had been together since sixth grade, and we have three beautiful children now. But while I was in the military, I made the worst mistake I could ever make. And, you know, I've seen how it affected my family, and it was a real eye-opener. The reason I'm calling is because...

02:20:00 - 02:20:14 | Speaker 8:

I know it's unlikely, but there is still a ray of hope for a couple out there. My wife and I, she is the center of my world. I'd do anything for her, and I could never, ever hurt her in that way again because I've seen what it does.

02:20:14 - 02:20:27 | Speaker 3:

It's huge. I mean, it takes balls to call up and admit that. When you were listening to that and hearing Jenny's reaction, what were you thinking, like hearing how this was going down from the other side?

02:20:27 - 02:21:02 | Speaker 8:

I mean, I remember seeing what my wife's face looked like, and, you know, I could see her heart breaking, and I felt the same way instantly and just realized the severity of what I'd done. Again, I mean, there's no excuse for it. Our situation was very awkward and weird. I was away in the military for a long time, and it's by no means an excuse, but it was the worst mistake I made, and I could never do that to her again. And that's why I think people, you know, whether it be to end their relationship or to try and move past it, they deserve to be caught and it deserves to happen.

02:21:02 - 02:21:07 | Speaker 1:

So you disagree with the old adage a lot of our listeners say, once a cheater, always a cheater.

02:21:08 - 02:21:10 | Speaker 8:

I do. Yes, I do.

02:21:11 - 02:21:34 | Speaker 5:

Thanks for the call, man. I appreciate it. Yep. I always wanted to know what it was like for somebody to walk in. I mean, I could not imagine another man with my wife. I just could not imagine it. And that's why when Jenny walked in and witnessed her husband with another woman this morning, it brought Pamela to call us up because, Pamela, you had that same thing happen to you?

02:21:36 - 02:21:37 | Speaker 7:

Yes, I did.

02:21:37 - 02:21:39 | Speaker 5:

And what did you do when you walked in?

02:21:40 - 02:21:48 | Speaker 7:

I went ballistic. I pretty much attacked him and I wept his ass.

02:21:49 - 02:21:52 | Speaker 4:

So you wept his ass? What about the girl? Yeah, what did she do when that happened?

02:21:52 - 02:22:00 | Speaker 7:

She ran out the back door, and actually she jumped the six-foot fence, and when the police came, she was on the front line.

02:22:00 - 02:22:08 | Speaker 1:

It's the same thing the guy in our War of the Rose did. They ran out the back door and ran down. And I'm thinking, like, are they naked? Because they were in bed together. Are they naked running out of the house?

02:22:08 - 02:22:10 | Speaker 7:

No, they were not naked.

02:22:10 - 02:22:28 | Speaker 1:

I got nervous, though, that the girl was going to do what you did and start beating somebody's ass and pulling somebody's hair because then that gets us in a mess. It's on the air in a War of the Rose situation, and then it's more than just catching someone cheating. All of a sudden, there's assault. And again, thank God that didn't happen, although it was.

02:22:29 - 02:22:29 | Speaker 3:

Okay.

02:22:31 - 02:22:35 | Speaker 7:

What are you doing?

02:22:36 - 02:22:38 | Speaker 6:

This is the home of War of the Roses.

02:22:38 - 02:22:43 | Speaker 1:

Mojo in the Morning. Mojo in the Morning's Dirty on the 30.

02:22:43 - 02:22:48 | Speaker 5:

All right, we'll get you caught up on what's trending right now. Shannon, what you got in this hour's Dirty on the 30?

02:22:48 - 02:23:31 | Speaker 2:

Well, I do have some updates for you on the incredibly sad and tragic death of Twitch. And if you've somehow missed that news, he died by suicide, was just 40 years old. It was breaking as our show was ending. Actually, as this dirty was ending yesterday. Ellen DeGeneres, his former boss, really did pay tribute to Twitch yesterday, writing, I am heartbroken. Twitch was pure love and light. He was my family, and I loved him with all my heart. I will miss him. Please send your love and support to Allison and his beautiful children, Wesley, Medix, and Zaya. And I found this clip of a moment that Twitch and Ellen shared during their time together on the show. Listen to this. Hi, Twitch. Hi, Ellen. How are you feeling right now?

02:23:32 - 02:24:29 | Speaker 6:

Feeling all of the things, but I think what I'm feeling most of all is grateful and thankful that, I mean, you can see this atmosphere that is here that has showed up because because you also had the courage to step out and be your authentic self so you've now created a place where not only these people come to watch the show but everybody behind these cameras the people backstage in the control room the people with the guests right now that you've changed their life dramatically and everybody puts so much care into this show because you stepped out on courage and we appreciate you and I'm just so grateful that I got to be a part of this and be a part of this family and I thank you Mary and Andy I thank y'all Matt Wright like it's just there's so many people that have been so instrumental in making this show what it is and that's from your leadership Ellen

02:24:29 - 02:24:33 | Speaker 2:

just a really incredible person such a massive loss

02:24:33 - 02:24:39 | Speaker 5:

how soon until Ellen gets blamed for this and there's some kind of a thing about Ellen

02:24:39 - 02:24:46 | Speaker 1:

on this. I don't know. I know people like to pile on her, but they always seem like they were among the closest of friends. Well, I've already seen

02:24:46 - 02:24:54 | Speaker 5:

the conspiracy theorist who wondered, like, you know, did he really take his life and all that stuff? Have you seen those stories at all

02:24:54 - 02:24:57 | Speaker 1:

out there? Well, I saw people texting us this morning saying he was murdered. Well,

02:24:57 - 02:24:59 | Speaker 5:

because a lot of people were suspicious that he didn't

02:25:00 - 02:25:06 | Speaker 2:

drive his car to the the hotel which sadly that's a common thing that yeah when people are in that

02:25:06 - 02:25:24 | Speaker 1:

horrible dark state they'll just go check in they're trying to make in their mind they're thinking i'm trying to make this as uh easy easy for the family as possible and they already know the struggle they're leaving behind and it's just they're trying to leave it not a trace and just go

02:25:24 - 02:25:41 | Speaker 2:

on their own i just feel like there'll be in the coming days there'll be something that will be like Ellen is evil or something like that. It happens nowadays now. Nobody ever just goes through the mourning process and then deals with it. It feels like every celebrity will have a blame game or something.

02:25:42 - 02:25:59 | Speaker 5:

There has to be a story. In the latest batch of episodes that dropped today, Harry and Meghan on Netflix, Prince Harry claims his brother, Prince William, broke a pact that they had made, The pact that they would not let their offices trade negative stories about one another.

02:26:00 - 02:26:25 | Speaker 4:

I both saw what happened in our dad's office, and we made an agreement that we would never let that happen to our office. I would far rather get destroyed in the press than play along with this game or this business of trading. to see my brother's office copy the very same thing that we promised the two of us would never

02:26:25 - 02:27:11 | Speaker 5:

ever do that was heartbreaking and in the wake of these new episodes sympathy for megan and harry among the u.s media especially is decreasing real fast in these final three episodes harry and megan really turn up the heat with their allegations against the royal family accusing them of all sorts of things. Being jealous of Meghan's fame. Harry said he and Meghan were better at their jobs than Charles and Kate and William. He accuses the press of causing Meghan's miscarriage. And so journalists now have a really bad taste in their mouth. U.S. journalists. Even Meghan's friend Gayle King, who has always praised the couple, she said it probably wasn't the right tactic here. Listen to what she had to say today.

02:27:11 - 02:27:22 | Speaker 3:

Harry and Meghan said all along they wanted to tell their story, what they believe happened, and now they're getting a chance to do that. I can't wait to see it, but this does sound very dicey.

02:27:22 - 02:28:50 | Speaker 5:

Yeah, sounds dicey. Yesterday was the third day of testimony for prosecutors in the trial of Tory Lanez over in L.A., and one key witness was just real difficult, didn't want to answer most of the questions that came her way. That would be Meghan Thee Stallion's former assistant and best friend, Kelsey Harris. She took the stand, asked for, and was granted immunity. But she frustrated prosecutors to no end because she answered almost every question the same way. I honestly don't remember. That's what she just kept saying over and over again. She said her memory from that night was really fuzzy because there were lots of cocktails involved. Now, back in September, I do know that the L.A. County Deputy District Attorney recorded an interview with Kelsey. And so in order to refresh her memory, they kept playing big chunks of that interview in court. But she kept saying, well, a lot of those things weren't true because I was just trying to protect myself at that time. So then they showed her a text message that she sent to Megan's security guard the night this alleged shooting happened that read, help, Tori shot Meg 911. However, yesterday she changed her tune about that and claimed, well, I don't even really know why I texted that because I didn't see anything happen. So when asked by prosecutors, like, straight up, did you see Tory Lanez shoot Megan Thee Stallion, she issued her Fifth Amendment right. I mean, she was no help at all. I think she's gotten paid off by Tory Lanez.

02:28:51 - 02:29:11 | Speaker 2:

I think he's using this as an opportunity to get out of it and got to her. I never knew what the whole argument was about until I started watching some of the news stories that have been on. No offense, Shannon. I know you've been reporting this and you're dirty, but I usually use this time to catch up on some sleep or food or things like that.

02:29:11 - 02:29:11 | Speaker 4:

Okay.

02:29:11 - 02:29:19 | Speaker 2:

But I didn't realize that there was like a love affair triangle between the assistant, Megan, and this guy, Tory Lanez.

02:29:19 - 02:29:21 | Speaker 5:

You would have known that if you would.

02:29:21 - 02:29:22 | Speaker 2:

I know. I feel bad.

02:29:22 - 02:29:23 | Speaker 5:

You don't feel bad.

02:29:23 - 02:29:28 | Speaker 2:

Tori Lane's guy is a bad guy, and he shot her like that. It's horrible.

02:29:28 - 02:29:29 | Speaker 5:

We're just finding this out.

02:29:29 - 02:29:34 | Speaker 2:

Did you hear, by the way, that the assistant would not testify yesterday? It was unbelievable.

02:29:34 - 02:29:37 | Speaker 5:

And lastly, thank God, we are going on vacation, right?

02:29:38 - 02:29:40 | Speaker 2:

Oh, my God. I've not been looking forward to a Christmas break.

02:29:40 - 02:29:42 | Speaker 5:

Then you don't have to listen to another Dirty for two weeks.

02:29:42 - 02:29:50 | Speaker 2:

You know what I feel like? I feel like a kid who can't wait to get done with school so that they can have Christmas break. You know what I mean? Don't you feel like that? I do. Yeah.

02:29:50 - 02:30:02 | Speaker 5:

And Leslie J. Leno sharing more about that accident that left him with burns on his face and his body. He was telling Hoda Kotb from the Today Show that he actually didn't want... He actually didn't go to the hospital right after it happened.

02:30:02 - 02:30:17 | Speaker 1:

I go, well, my wife doesn't know anything about this. I said, I got to go home first. No, you can't go home. I said, look, let me go home, and I'll come back in the morning. So I drove home, and I spent the night at my house. And then I woke up this morning, and I went to the burn center.

02:30:17 - 02:30:20 | Speaker 3:

Isn't that crazy? How the hell did he do that? He was all burned. Isn't that nuts?

02:30:20 - 02:30:28 | Speaker 5:

Yeah, went home, went to his own bed, and then went to the hospital in the morning. And, of course, in true Jalen old fashion, he's still making lots of jokes about the situation.

02:30:28 - 02:30:34 | Speaker 2:

Actually, the most expensive part of the whole operation was the gasoline. That was, we're in California at seven bucks a gallon.

02:30:35 - 02:30:40 | Speaker 3:

So, Jesus. That's why Jay Leno's not on TV anymore. That is just, like, so bad.

02:30:40 - 02:30:43 | Speaker 5:

For all of today's Dirty, check out the Dirty page on mojointhemorning.com.

02:30:43 - 02:30:52 | Speaker 3:

Although, he's still funnier than Jimmy Fallon. I don't know why. If you watch Jimmy Fallon, he would have laughed at his own joke before he even got the punchline out. It's amazing.

02:30:53 - 02:30:57 | Speaker 4:

Mojo in the Morning's Dirt. And another phone scam coming up in minutes.

02:30:58 - 02:31:06 | Speaker 3:

All right, Mojo and the Morning Show. We got a scam coming up here in just a little bit. Have you guys got all your holiday shopping done? Have you guys done all your Christmas shopping?

02:31:06 - 02:31:08 | Speaker 5:

I'm taking Saturday morning to finish.

02:31:08 - 02:31:21 | Speaker 3:

I haven't even started. It's so bad. I know. It's horrible. All my friends are like going, KP, have you done any holiday shopping at all? Are you, you got so many family members. Do you guys pick like a spot?

02:31:21 - 02:31:27 | Speaker 4:

She and Lydia have been doing so much for the breaking and entering Christmas wishes. I was like, did you start shopping for your loved ones yet?

02:31:27 - 02:31:32 | Speaker 3:

What do you do with having, you know, five siblings or one of six? Do you guys buy for each other or what do you do?

02:31:32 - 02:31:42 | Speaker 6:

So we do a family secret Santa where each of us will get one sibling and then like every year we get a different sibling. But, yeah, I would be broke if we had to do that.

02:31:42 - 02:31:44 | Speaker 3:

Wow. Have you done any Christmas shopping? Have you had any?

02:31:45 - 02:32:12 | Speaker 6:

Yeah. So I'm halfway through my Christmas shopping and I'm super surprised because normally I don't get to my Christmas shopping until like a week ahead. And that's ridiculous because nothing's available anymore. But this year I decided to go a little early And I was actually making a return And I'm not kidding you I think I spent 40 minutes In line sorry I'm like out of breath From running from the producer suite I spent 40 minutes in an imaginary line At Abercrombie

02:32:12 - 02:32:13 | Speaker 4:

What do you mean imaginary line?

02:32:13 - 02:32:23 | Speaker 6:

We all thought that we were in line to do a return Or to go buy our stuff And we ended up just hanging out in the dressing room area And not even realizing we're not in line The line is so long

02:32:23 - 02:32:44 | Speaker 5:

Which Abercrombie were you at? It was Somerset Mall. It happens to me all the time. I don't know what the deal is where there is so much confusion right there. Because you know what it is? People line up to show their codes to do the pickup for something that they shipped to the store or whatever. And they don't distinguish what the lines are for. That has bitten me in the butt so many times.

02:32:44 - 02:32:58 | Speaker 6:

And by the time I had gotten to the front when I realized that I wasn't in line, they had someone training. There was only two people in the whole store, which I feel awful about. everywhere seems so short-staffed and the guy was just like asking the customers for help how to use

02:32:58 - 02:33:12 | Speaker 5:

the computer because they are so they're struggling man but nobody will talk to you there that's the other thing nobody will say hey what is everybody in line for right here just making sure this is the line for pickup this is the line if you need to return or buy something nobody will talk to you

02:33:12 - 02:33:16 | Speaker 4:

which sounds like such a common problem you think they would want to avoid aggravated shoppers and

02:33:16 - 02:33:50 | Speaker 6:

cut it off early and just let you know well there's a pile that's as high as mount everest behind them of clothes they are they only have two people to do every job in the store yeah so i don't blame them i'm not angry it's just like i i was actually more angry i couldn't get connected to the guest wi-fi to get my order pulled up because like no service but yeah i don't know got me thinking about like holiday chaos and what have you found in your store that's crazy like i've heard crazy holiday stories of like people like peeing in dressing rooms oh my gosh fighting

02:33:50 - 02:34:05 | Speaker 3:

people for stuff okay 844 mojo live 844-665-6548 the holiday shopping nightmare hold on randall has a very good question to ask you kp producer kp what's that randall oh i was gonna ask what

02:34:05 - 02:34:10 | Speaker 6:

you got jed for christmas oh yeah well i wonder what jed got me for christmas

02:34:10 - 02:34:17 | Speaker 3:

well you guys aren't gonna see each other christmas though you're gonna see each other

02:34:17 - 02:34:38 | Speaker 6:

after christmas so maybe you guys don't have to yeah i think that's gonna be like randall's like yeah i'm gonna close this can of worms actually yeah it's so funny plans to see each other we may or may not have some plans to see each other yeah we'll see thanks mike thanks um texter here

02:34:38 - 02:34:53 | Speaker 3:

says that uh they work at and i won't say the name of the store because i don't want it to come up but kp is absolutely right people will pee in the dressing rooms what is the deal you don't have time to go to the bathroom so you just pee in the dressing room what in the world they just got so

02:34:53 - 02:34:59 | Speaker 4:

nervous customers are a nightmare the stuff that goes on i can't believe it mojo i work at a macy's

02:35:00 - 02:35:06 | Speaker 5:

We have to spend over an hour and a half at the end of the night refolding everything because people are savages with their clothes.

02:35:06 - 02:35:08 | Speaker 2:

Yeah, I remember that at Christmastime working in retail.

02:35:08 - 02:35:10 | Speaker 5:

Sarah, what's up? It's Mojo in the morning. Hi.

02:35:11 - 02:35:12 | Speaker 2:

Hey, Mojo. Hi.

02:35:12 - 02:35:16 | Speaker 6:

So I work at Kroger, and I have people, I work at the one at 12 and see this in the marketplace.

02:35:17 - 02:35:17 | Speaker 5:

Yeah. Oh, yeah.

02:35:18 - 02:35:23 | Speaker 6:

And they literally stop in their tracks when they look at the line and just leave the food there.

02:35:23 - 02:35:27 | Speaker 5:

Whoa. Because they don't want to have to wait in the line, and you guys got to put all that stuff away?

02:35:28 - 02:35:28 | Speaker 1:

Yes.

02:35:28 - 02:35:29 | Speaker 5:

What is up with people?

02:35:30 - 02:35:38 | Speaker 1:

Well, that's what happened at Abercrombie. People kept coming in, and they look at the line, and they go, oh, hell no. And they turn around and leave. You're waiting that line for that long.

02:35:38 - 02:35:43 | Speaker 3:

But Kroger, they ruin the food if they just leave it there, and it's not back in the refrigerator. Yeah, that's a different story. That's bad.

02:35:43 - 02:35:52 | Speaker 1:

But there are plenty of stores that have 80 different checkout aisles, and none of them are open but the self-checkout. And it drives me nuts.

02:35:53 - 02:35:54 | Speaker 5:

That's crazy.

02:35:54 - 02:36:08 | Speaker 6:

But that's the issue. Like, we don't have the staff to run the self-checkout. So, like, can you bring someone up? I'm like, who do you want me to pull? Yeah. Like, not everybody is trained on a register.

02:36:08 - 02:36:21 | Speaker 2:

Well, and what I found, too, is you can't make returns at the self-checkout. So, if you have a return, like this happened to me the other day at Michael's. I was trying to look for somebody, but they only wanted you to use the self-checkout. You know what's super awkward?

02:36:21 - 02:36:32 | Speaker 6:

Yeah, that's the thing. Like, if you can only do my service desk, and on top of that, 90% of the service desks at any Kroger are closed. We are the only one that's open in our area.

02:36:32 - 02:36:37 | Speaker 5:

Wow. Yeah, we need some more people. What was that, KP?

02:36:37 - 02:36:49 | Speaker 1:

No, going back to the whole clothing situation where everyone just throws clothes everywhere, it's super awkward when you're, like, trying to find your right size, and somebody had just folded that pile, and you're going to re-end the pile, and you're, like, looking like you're like, oh, I'll fold it again.

02:36:49 - 02:36:54 | Speaker 3:

I end up sitting there and folding it. I mean, and then folding it back up. And I'm like, I should have brought my clipboard to fold it.

02:36:55 - 02:36:57 | Speaker 5:

I just grab it and run and hope that they don't see me.

02:37:00 - 02:37:27 | Speaker 7:

This is another Mojo in the Morning holiday shopping safety tip. When you're looking for someone to fight with over the last 50% off item, don't pick the woman who wears the I'm with stupid shirt. We'd hate for stupid to show off. It's Mojo in the Morning. Remember these songs. See how well you do in the throwback throw now. It's tomorrow after 8 on Mojo in the Morning.

02:37:28 - 02:37:43 | Speaker 5:

Spike, we're going to do a phone scam right now. We're going to do a phone scam Don. He is the assistant manager at a grocery store, and you're going to be a customer with a little bit of a problem with the store's motorized scooter. It's a phone scam here on Mojo in the Morning.

02:37:43 - 02:37:53 | Speaker 7:

We will, we will scam you. Sorry, it's a catchy song. It's your home of phone scams. Mojo in the morning.

02:37:59 - 02:38:05 | Speaker 4:

Thank you for calling. This is Shauna. How can I help you? Hi, Shauna. Can I speak to your manager, please? Uh, sure.

02:38:09 - 02:38:12 | Speaker 8:

Hello, this is Don speaking. Can I help you?

02:38:12 - 02:38:20 | Speaker 4:

Let me tell you my conundrum. The mobilized shopping carts, the scooters that you make available to customers with challenges or injuries?

02:38:21 - 02:38:22 | Speaker 8:

Yes, I know what you're talking about.

02:38:22 - 02:38:36 | Speaker 4:

Yes, thank you. Well, I'm on one of those, and I would like to, first of all, thank you for making that an offer for your customers. Second of all, I would like to know if you could bring out a new scooter because this one ran out of GoJuice.

02:38:37 - 02:38:41 | Speaker 8:

Well, sure, we can bring one out to you. Where are you? Are you outside in the parking lot?

02:38:41 - 02:38:46 | Speaker 4:

Well, no, I'm a little bit further. Can you hear me over the cars? Hello?

02:38:48 - 02:38:48 | Speaker 8:

I can hear you fine.

02:38:48 - 02:39:03 | Speaker 4:

Where are you? I'm in the median of Telegraph Road. Where? Telegraph Road. Maybe about, I only got maybe about a quarter mile or a half mile away. And if these things don't go that far, then you need to let a customer know.

02:39:05 - 02:39:11 | Speaker 8:

Those things are only meant to go from inside of our store out to your car or something like that. You shouldn't have taken it as far as you've taken it.

02:39:11 - 02:39:39 | Speaker 4:

You're where again? I'm on Telegraph Road, and I don't know if I can get it back because obviously it has no more electric, but also I'm a little scared of all the crazy traffic because of four lanes of traffic going at this speed. I tried to get across the road, but the light kept changing before I could get all the way across. I'm really concerned for your safety, you being out there. Right, me too. Thank you for saying so. So could you bring a new one, please, so I can return to my car?

02:39:40 - 02:39:45 | Speaker 8:

I really can't bring a new one to you, but I can call the police or something to help you if you need me to.

02:39:45 - 02:39:59 | Speaker 4:

Okay, yeah, but please, I don't want a big deal made about it because I don't want the police to have my government name and all that business. I don't want a lot of attention. Could you just send maybe one of your employees out to bring a new one, and we can swap?

02:40:00 - 02:40:00 | Speaker 3:

I'd really like to help you.

02:40:01 - 02:40:04 | Speaker 2:

What are you feeling in, like, the cookie genre right now?

02:40:05 - 02:40:06 | Speaker 3:

The cookie genre?

02:40:06 - 02:40:13 | Speaker 2:

Well, yes, as a manager of a store, like, what kind of cookies are you recommending? Because if I get back there on a new scooter, I want to buy some cookies.

02:40:14 - 02:40:17 | Speaker 3:

Ma'am, I'm just really worried about getting you back to our parking lot safety.

02:40:17 - 02:40:35 | Speaker 2:

No, I know, and I hear you. It's just that I ate all my cookies here while I was waiting for help. So I'm going to definitely need to get some new cookies. And also, Don, let me ask you this. What do you call an employee that shops at another grocery store?

02:40:36 - 02:40:38 | Speaker 3:

Ma'am, I really just need to know your location.

02:40:38 - 02:40:45 | Speaker 2:

A Trader Joe. Get it? A Trader. These cookies taste horrible. I'm not getting eaten again.

02:40:45 - 02:40:48 | Speaker 3:

Tell me exactly your location again.

02:40:48 - 02:40:51 | Speaker 2:

I'm sitting in this chair waiting for you to come get me.

02:40:52 - 02:40:55 | Speaker 3:

Ma'am, I just don't know. I can try my best.

02:40:55 - 02:41:14 | Speaker 2:

Telegraph Road, right? You know where that is. It's the biggest, busiest street. I know. Also, did you know that if you stroke your husband's t-shirt with one hand and a kiwi with the other and close your eyes, you won't feel the difference? And that's why I'm not allowed to shop at your competitor anymore?

02:41:15 - 02:41:20 | Speaker 3:

This is one of the strangest things I've ever had to do with my life. Me too, right?

02:41:20 - 02:41:33 | Speaker 2:

You're really going to think this is strange when I tell you this is Spike and you've just been the victim of a mojo in the morning phone scam. You can thank Wendy and the crew for the idea. They just phone scammed you.

02:41:33 - 02:41:41 | Speaker 3:

Oh, my God. I can't believe we even got this far in the phone call. Hey, make sure you tell all your listeners to come stock up here for their holiday party.

02:41:42 - 02:41:46 | Speaker 2:

Oh, look at this guy. He's a company guy. Exactly.

02:41:46 - 02:41:50 | Speaker 1:

We will, we will scam you.

02:41:50 - 02:41:56 | Speaker 2:

you're home of the phone scams hi baby can i ask you a question

02:41:56 - 02:43:02 | Speaker 1:

um this is mojo in the morning mojo in the morning i think it might have been yesterday at this time that i was complaining about the office refrigerator thief yes now i have another co-worker that i would like to complain about but i know who this person is okay i'm gonna lay the groundwork down for you that we have another not a poopitrator but a peepitrator in our midst and you know i'm gonna say this that we talk often on the show about you know people in our buildings that we have because there's three buildings we broadcast out of detroit grand rapids and toledo but there are the most disgusting human beings ever that work for our company for iheart radio is this the

02:43:02 - 02:43:11 | Speaker 2:

people trader i've been complaining about for years that doesn't lift the seat on the toilets and stands 20 and pees on top of the urinal how does someone pee on top of the urinal i don't

02:43:11 - 02:43:30 | Speaker 1:

understand this could not figure that out because it is high my favorite ever was when we talked about that person and everybody blames slim because slim was the tallest guy here and slim came to me to prove to me that he did not do it because he had a long enough penis oh how did he

02:43:30 - 02:43:36 | Speaker 2:

we won't talk about that no but his name was cleared because after he no longer worked for

02:43:36 - 02:44:14 | Speaker 1:

us it was still happening on yeah all right so let me let me express this one this peepa trader we now know who it is there's three people in the office i don't know if they want me to name them but there's three people in the office that have all come through process of elimination into believing that we have got that culprit and the reason why the person was on vacation and out of the office for a few days over the last couple of weeks. And when they are not here, there's no pee on the floor. So it's floor pee. Yes.

02:44:15 - 02:44:32 | Speaker 2:

Have you been in there today yet? I have gone in there yesterday. Somebody this morning obviously didn't zip up, walked away before they were done. You see a trail of pee from the urinal, like, goes back two feet away from the urinal. Like, they actually started to back up while still dripping. It's weird.

02:44:32 - 02:44:59 | Speaker 1:

I don't know. How do these people's homes look? I don't know what the story is with this. Don't you just shake, shake, shake? Yeah. Put it back in your pants and go. Well, you've got to do a tap. But this said person is an on-air radio personality. Okay, I'm going to say this. And it's the men's bathroom, so it's a male on-air radio personality. Don't say names on the radio. No, I'm not going to. Tony Travato on with us right now. Guys, our boss, Tony. Hello, Tony.

02:45:00 - 02:45:00 | Speaker 2:

Gravato, how are you?

02:45:01 - 02:45:07 | Speaker 5:

Hey, guys. I was trying to be quiet because I was in the bathroom taking pee samples. Oh, oh, oh.

02:45:08 - 02:45:38 | Speaker 2:

Taking pee samples. Well, hello, Mr. Program Director. You can take pee samples with your shoes. So, Tony, through process of elimination, we have figured out who the pee-petrator is. Okay. Well, no. You and I were talking about this last night. We were talking about, we were discussing that the pee betrayer was off from work for a little bit, and Gina, the cleaning lady, didn't have to be cleaning pee off of the tile on the floor.

02:45:38 - 02:45:39 | Speaker 6:

Wait, I know who it is.

02:45:39 - 02:45:55 | Speaker 5:

But what happened is I called Mojo, and I said, I just walked into the bathroom, and it looks like somebody completely forgot that there was a urinal on the wall. Yeah. So there was, like, a sea of urine on the floor.

02:45:56 - 02:45:58 | Speaker 1:

Okay. That is nasty. Yes.

02:45:58 - 02:45:59 | Speaker 6:

You have to know that you're doing that.

02:46:00 - 02:46:06 | Speaker 1:

Shannon just wrote down her guess. And I'm right. And that's the exact person I thought the poop-a-trader was who was making a mess on the potty.

02:46:06 - 02:46:09 | Speaker 6:

Well, then he's got all sorts of issues. We need to get a port-a-potty here.

02:46:10 - 02:46:19 | Speaker 2:

Maybe this particular person is a little messy when it comes to going potty time. Maybe there was something, like, when they were a child or something.

02:46:19 - 02:46:23 | Speaker 5:

I think the only way to solve it is DNA samples That's it

02:46:23 - 02:46:30 | Speaker 2:

That is it Tony what's worse The peeing on top of the urinal Or the person that constantly pees on the floor

02:46:30 - 02:46:34 | Speaker 5:

Well I thought we decided Slim was the guy No he said

02:46:34 - 02:46:40 | Speaker 1:

We always thought that but he cleared his name Because after he no longer worked here We still discovered that happening

02:46:40 - 02:46:45 | Speaker 6:

And apparently he showed Mojo his penis To prove that it was long enough to go in

02:46:45 - 02:46:51 | Speaker 5:

No that is totally not true I know it was not Slim I mean, he's way cleaner than that. Yes.

02:46:52 - 02:46:57 | Speaker 2:

Now he's peeing out in the middle of the forest of Costa Rica at this moment. He can pee anywhere he wants to.

02:46:57 - 02:47:21 | Speaker 1:

So I miss not having the second floor bathrooms anymore. We have only one floor in the office now because sometimes we would walk in there in the morning and such a bomb had gone off and it was such a mess that I would walk the extra mile, go downstairs to another floor just to use the bathroom. And now we don't have a choice. Now, sometimes we come in and both stalls are destroyed, and then the urinal looks like somebody did target practice.

02:47:22 - 02:47:31 | Speaker 5:

Well, Spike, I've got a dirty secret here. There are some people that still go down there because they don't like the conditions.

02:47:31 - 02:47:36 | Speaker 2:

Oh, wow. You know how cold it is on the first floor? I do not want to be in that cold.

02:47:36 - 02:47:43 | Speaker 1:

It's already a problem for me in any bathroom. I'm a grower, not a shower. So I've got to really snuggle up inside the urinal.

02:47:43 - 02:47:49 | Speaker 2:

Hey, can I ask you a question, Tony? Can't you write this person up for this, for peeing on the floor?

02:47:49 - 02:47:50 | Speaker 1:

Who is it? Who is it?

02:47:51 - 02:47:53 | Speaker 2:

Isn't there something that you can do?

02:47:53 - 02:47:56 | Speaker 5:

That'd be a fun write-up. I've never done that before.

02:47:56 - 02:48:01 | Speaker 2:

Could you imagine calling up the HR and saying, hey, I've got to write this person up? They're peeing all over the floor.

02:48:02 - 02:48:09 | Speaker 5:

And how do you monitor the progress of that? You're going to meet every 15 days to go home?

02:48:09 - 02:48:19 | Speaker 2:

That's true. You've got to actually make sure that they're better at their job. Hold on, Tony. What's worse? The person that pees on the floor here at the station Or Matt, what was the co-worker doing at yours?

02:48:20 - 02:48:29 | Speaker 4:

It wasn't a co-worker It was a club that used to go to Like an Eagles or an Elks or something like that And someone would always smear boogers on the wall At the urinal

02:48:29 - 02:48:36 | Speaker 2:

That's disgusting They would pick their nose and wipe their boogers On the wall On the wall of the urinal

02:48:36 - 02:48:37 | Speaker 4:

Correct

02:48:37 - 02:48:40 | Speaker 2:

And what business was this that they were doing this at?

02:48:41 - 02:48:45 | Speaker 4:

It was like one of the lodges Like a club Like the Eagles or Elks or, you know.

02:48:45 - 02:48:46 | Speaker 2:

Oh, the Elks clubs and stuff like that.

02:48:46 - 02:49:10 | Speaker 1:

I've seen that here, too, over the urinal. So I'm like, well, maybe if you kept your hands on your junk and aimed a little better instead of wiping boogers on the wall. Who wants to touch anything in that bathroom, wall or otherwise? Have you ever seen the people that go pee like this? Yeah. Yeah, they brace themselves. They put one hand on the wall or both hands on their hips. And I go, what are you doing? What are you afraid of touching yourself? What's going on down there?

02:49:11 - 02:49:13 | Speaker 2:

It's unbelievable. What's up, Alan? How you doing?

02:49:15 - 02:49:16 | Speaker 1:

I'm doing all right.

02:49:16 - 02:49:16 | Speaker 3:

How are you guys?

02:49:16 - 02:49:21 | Speaker 2:

Good, Alan. Alan wants to defend anybody that has to pee on the floor. Why is that, Alan?

02:49:22 - 02:49:35 | Speaker 3:

I'm just saying, like, if you're a guy and you have a penis, you never get that hole out. You know, you'll stand there for a half hour shaking. That stuff's going to fall on the floor. It's going to get in your underwear. You know, I'm failing.

02:49:35 - 02:49:40 | Speaker 1:

I think a drip is one thing. Yeah. There's a way to get around. You're leaving before you're done.

02:49:40 - 02:49:57 | Speaker 6:

If you're leaving a stream, because, like, I mean, full disclosure, I had an issue after having the kids where I would stand up. I thought I was done peeing, and I would pee a little bit more. If you pee on the floor, you can clean it up. It's not that hard. Like, if you're leaving a trail out of the bathroom.

02:49:58 - 02:49:59 | Speaker 2:

Maybe we need wet.

02:50:00 - 02:50:03 | Speaker 5:

wipes right next to the urinal there where you can pull one down.

02:50:03 - 02:50:06 | Speaker 1:

Or toilet paper. We all need toilet paper on top

02:50:06 - 02:50:23 | Speaker 5:

of the urinal. I know when guys get older, their prostate doesn't work as well. The vacuum seal's not there anymore. You just have to wait another couple seconds and make sure everything's done. But the urinals are designed. They come out of the wall nine inches underneath you. They scoop so that you just got to get close enough. People aren't getting

02:50:23 - 02:50:34 | Speaker 4:

close. Jenny, this is the most disgusting thing ever. Jenny, what is it that you guys have in your urinals at work so i worked at a fourth bar and we had

02:50:34 - 02:50:43 | Speaker 2:

corn in the urinal and we don't even serve corn we don't even serve corn thank you so much that's all i can hear

02:50:43 - 02:50:52 | Speaker 5:

corn how jenny you said you don't even serve corn somebody brought their own corn and left

02:50:52 - 02:51:09 | Speaker 2:

it in the urinal no they like someone had like a farmer's corn in their pocket and put it in the urinal and they took the urinal cake out of the urinal and brought it out to the patio and we had to see the urinal cake on the ground oh my god what is wrong with humans where do you work

02:51:09 - 02:51:23 | Speaker 4:

they serve some yeah they serve some strong drinks there wow hold on a second i gotta voice disguise this next caller here jane hi hi hi why do you want to be voice disguised because i used

02:51:23 - 02:51:51 | Speaker 6:

to be a chief of staff and i had an office in california and every day i had to watch the cameras there because i'm in michigan there in california and this guy was relieving himself every day in a red solo cup and then he would do something disgusting afterwards but oh no i had to fly to california to tell him that i'm watching him every day do this on camera was he in his

02:51:51 - 02:51:53 | Speaker 4:

Cubicle or something, sitting there in the red solar? No.

02:51:54 - 02:52:00 | Speaker 6:

He was just sitting at the office at his desk with his red solar cup every day.

02:52:01 - 02:52:05 | Speaker 1:

I mean, that is a dedicated employee right there that won't even take the time to get up to go to the bathroom.

02:52:07 - 02:52:12 | Speaker 4:

Tony, Tony, we should hire him as a board op, Tony, here at the station.

02:52:13 - 02:52:18 | Speaker 1:

I think the answer is we need better targets inside the urinal, Spike. I think that's what we're talking about.

02:52:18 - 02:52:24 | Speaker 4:

Yeah. Hold on a second. And I got two more calls that I got to get to because the last one's the craziest. Corey, are you there?

02:52:24 - 02:52:25 | Speaker 1:

Yeah.

02:52:25 - 02:52:26 | Speaker 4:

Corey, what did you have in your office?

02:52:27 - 02:52:39 | Speaker 1:

I had to call you guys on this. We have one. He was called the side shooter. The side shooter come in with some explosive poop and always shoot off to the side in the upper part of the room.

02:52:41 - 02:52:45 | Speaker 5:

I always wondered if those are just really fast. Like if they go in and go, ah!

02:52:45 - 02:53:01 | Speaker 1:

It would stick right to it. The toilet couldn't even flush it down. What was the other one? The Hoverer. We called him the Hoverer because he must have hovered above the toilet seat because he must have come in with explosive diarrhea. He'd come in and find poop freckles all over the place. Yeah.

02:53:02 - 02:53:14 | Speaker 5:

We had the poop freckles in our office once, too. And I'm like, you know how hard you have to try to poop on the wall? That's like two, three feet away from the toilet seat. What do your pants and legs look like?

02:53:15 - 02:53:19 | Speaker 4:

Listen to this one, though. John, what happened to you at your office, Urinal?

02:53:21 - 02:53:34 | Speaker 3:

I wasn't at an office. I was probably at a bar. I was in my 20s. I didn't realize until, like, maybe a couple days later or something like that, I got crabs from the urinal.

02:53:35 - 02:53:37 | Speaker 4:

No way. I thought that was an urban legend.

02:53:37 - 02:53:45 | Speaker 3:

No. No, no, I was not with anybody. I know that. And then it's like those buggers were itchy and it was a pain in the ass.

02:53:45 - 02:53:48 | Speaker 2:

Are you serious that it can happen?

02:53:50 - 02:54:02 | Speaker 3:

Seriously. So I have reservations on standing too close to not getting to my urinal. My brother-in-law said that he knows somebody or it happened to him as well. So he always goes in the stalls.

02:54:02 - 02:54:15 | Speaker 5:

I'm with Shannon. I've always heard that story. And I always thought that is not a good match between organism and environment. If you're blaming the urinal for crabs, I feel like maybe that sounds more like an excuse. I don't know how long they can live.

02:54:15 - 02:54:23 | Speaker 4:

Tony, our boss, that's the excuse of the Peepa Trader is the Peepa Trader doesn't want to get a disease off of our bathrooms here.

02:54:24 - 02:54:27 | Speaker 5:

By the way, I just changed my AIM screen name to Poop Freckles 269.

02:54:29 - 02:54:33 | Speaker 4:

All right. Thank you, boss. Talk to you later. See you guys.

02:54:33 - 02:54:33 | Speaker 3:

Bye. All right.

02:54:33 - 02:54:46 | Speaker 4:

Which Mojo in the Morning show member punched Santa Claus? Wow. I can't believe that somebody would be that violent with everybody's favorite fad guy.

02:54:47 - 02:54:50 | Speaker 5:

I've seen Shannon shopping before. That's true.

02:54:51 - 02:55:00 | Speaker 4:

Actually, no, it wasn't Shannon. It wasn't Spike. It wasn't Mojo. It wasn't Megan. It wasn't Mike. It was Reese.

02:55:00 - 02:55:01 | Speaker 2:

Sweet, innocent Reese.

02:55:01 - 02:55:02 | Speaker 1:

No way.

02:55:02 - 02:55:05 | Speaker 3:

There's no way. He is so laid back.

02:55:05 - 02:55:11 | Speaker 1:

What's the story? Reese, our director of social impact, the sweetest guy in the world. The hell, Reese? What did you do?

02:55:12 - 02:55:27 | Speaker 4:

I was just never a fan of Santa growing up. So the one time that I did actually see Santa, I accidentally, well, not accidentally, I punched him in the face. How old were you? I want to say I was about six or seven. I was like a toddler, like an older toddler.

02:55:28 - 02:55:34 | Speaker 1:

Oh, my God. and did your like mom like recall the story with you to like bring back memories like did you get

02:55:34 - 02:55:44 | Speaker 4:

kicked out of the mall or what happened i'm not sure if i got kicked out of the mall but it comes up at every single family party get together it's like my mom's favorite story

02:55:44 - 02:55:58 | Speaker 1:

so it's cute though it's it's kind of funny like i i think that there's so many times where parents have had their kids like wet santa you know where they pee on them and stuff like that yeah you know and then there's the kids that pull on santa's beard or you know rip on that thing we

02:55:58 - 02:56:15 | Speaker 2:

should have, I have a really great family friend, Kevin. You know Kevin. He used to own Kevin Santa. Yes, Kevin Santa. He plays Santa at one of the local malls and he has the greatest stories about things that happen to him while he's in that red suit. He's actually going to write a book about it.

02:56:15 - 02:56:17 | Speaker 1:

Oh, that would be great. He's going to write a book about it

02:56:17 - 02:56:41 | Speaker 2:

and the title of the book is going to be Dear Santa, All I Want for Christmas is a Pair of Tits. And the reason the reason The reason that that's the title of the book is he had a little girl a couple of years ago come and she gave him her Christmas list and tits was on it. But she really wanted tights. She just didn't know how to put tights.

02:56:42 - 02:56:51 | Speaker 1:

Oh, my God. That is so funny. So, Reese, you have never grown out of this. Are you still not a fan of Santa Claus or do you like Santa Claus more now that you're an adult?

02:56:51 - 02:56:55 | Speaker 4:

Still not a huge fan of the mall Santa. I'm not going to lie.

02:56:55 - 02:56:57 | Speaker 1:

Do they creep you out or what?

02:56:57 - 02:57:02 | Speaker 4:

I don't want to say they creep me out, but I'm just not really trying to sit on Santa's lap. I don't know.

02:57:03 - 02:57:05 | Speaker 1:

Yeah. Well, you probably at this age shouldn't be doing that.

02:57:07 - 02:57:08 | Speaker 4:

Probably punch me.

02:57:09 - 02:57:31 | Speaker 2:

Have you guys read, speaking of people who play Santa Claus, have you guys read, it's gone viral now, but the story about the guy who plays Santa at the famous Macy's in New York City, it's on the Humans of New York social media. Do you know what I'm talking about? No, no, no. It's really super long. I mean, I can't read it to you, but it's definitely worth a read today if you have the time.

02:57:31 - 02:57:33 | Speaker 1:

Like, what is it? Is it them just talking about their experiences?

02:57:33 - 02:57:43 | Speaker 2:

It's just about why it is so important to him to be Santa Claus every year and how he came to be the Santa Claus at Macy's in New York City. It's cool. It's a good one.

02:57:43 - 02:58:10 | Speaker 1:

When Luke and I were doing the college visit last week, there was a guy that looked exactly like Santa Claus. And he had, you know, the beard and everything like that. I felt so bad for him because we were eating at this burger place, like this local burger place in the town. And everybody kept walking over to his table to take a picture with the guy. And he had, honestly, I think after a while, he wanted to punch them. Because it was one of those things. But I guess if you have that beard going and you kind of got that look going.

02:58:10 - 02:58:23 | Speaker 2:

Yes, Wes and I went out to dinner last night and there was a man who sat down next to us and he looked just like Santa. And I whispered across the table to Wes, look, Santa just sat right next to us. It's like, as a 39-year-old woman, I still get, like, really excited if I see somebody that looks like Santa Claus.

02:58:24 - 02:58:29 | Speaker 1:

Yeah. One of the other favorite things that we've ever done on our show is when you went to talk dirty to Santa Clauses.

02:58:29 - 02:58:31 | Speaker 2:

Oh, I've never been so nervous before.

02:58:31 - 02:58:33 | Speaker 1:

And the mall Santa Clauses.

02:58:33 - 02:58:34 | Speaker 2:

And the one talks dirty back.

02:58:34 - 02:58:40 | Speaker 1:

Oh, my God. Yeah. All right. Try that next time, Reese. Don't mind. Talk dirty to them.

02:58:41 - 02:58:43 | Speaker 3:

Mojo in the Morning's Top Trending Stories.

02:58:43 - 02:59:29 | Speaker 1:

Oh, I still got that music going. Sorry about that. That kind of scared me there for a second. I get heart palpitations when all of a sudden that goes off. All right, let's start with this one. This is pretty wild. So, according to Federal Aviation Administration data, reports show that airplane passenger interactions, like the crazy interactions, have plummeted by 74%. You ready for this? After that federal judge struck down the mask mandate. So since the mask had come off of people's faces on airplanes, people for some reason got a little bit more civil when it came to doing, you know, riding on a plane. And notice that we haven't really seen a lot of those stories lately. Did they match?

02:59:29 - 02:59:34 | Speaker 3:

I'm curious also if it aligns with when they started and stopped selling alcohol on the flights.

02:59:34 - 02:59:59 | Speaker 1:

Well, they're selling alcohol now. Have you flown recently? I mean, man, I got to tell you something. And they were drinking up like crazy when we went away last week to go to visit that college. It was like a small flight, too. You want to live longer? Get to know your neighbors. Feeling connected with one's neighbors helps you live longer. Megan, God help you. A study author's report.

03:00:00 - 03:00:14 | Speaker 3:

showing that strong neighborhood connections and positive impact of knowing who your neighbors are and having relationships with them actually reduces, they say, the risk of heart issues as well as dementia.

03:00:14 - 03:00:21 | Speaker 4:

You know, I can always tell when it's after 10 o'clock on this show because that's when I start getting attacked for absolutely no reason. No, I know.

03:00:21 - 03:00:24 | Speaker 3:

Unprovoked. No, your neighbors love you.

03:00:24 - 03:00:39 | Speaker 4:

Actually, I have a really great relationship with my next-door neighbor. I don't even know if she listens Heidi, I don't know, do you listen? I love you Heidi's the best I love her I even go out to dinner with some of my neighbors

03:00:39 - 03:00:40 | Speaker 3:

every once in a while

03:00:40 - 03:00:42 | Speaker 4:

We're cool now, thank you very much

03:00:42 - 03:00:48 | Speaker 3:

How come that never comes on the air? I never hear those stories, I want to hear some of those Can we get some of your neighbors on the air?

03:00:49 - 03:00:51 | Speaker 4:

No, because I don't

03:00:51 - 03:00:52 | Speaker 3:

It would soften up your reputation

03:00:52 - 03:01:00 | Speaker 4:

Yeah, we wouldn't want to ruin my terrible reputation that I already had by showing you how I can be kind sometimes.

03:01:00 - 03:01:41 | Speaker 3:

Look at all their numbers. That's what we've got to do. We're going to all find out her neighbor's numbers and call them one day. You shouldn't have said her name. According to a Better Business Bureau report that was just released, here are the list of the top Christmas 2022 scams. Misleading social media ads, paying for items that they never receive or getting charged for a free trial that they never signed up for. Social media gift exchanges involves exchanging bottles of wine. Another suggests buying a $10 gift online. Submitting your email to a list where participants pick a name and then send money to a stranger, like a pay it forward. Who's going to do that?

03:01:41 - 03:01:43 | Speaker 1:

You are dumb if you do that.

03:01:43 - 03:02:28 | Speaker 3:

People are doing it. Free gift cards. Sending bulk phishing emails saying that you can win gift cards if you sign up for this thing. People clicking on those. We've actually had, did you see that our company's been getting a lot of these phishing things that have been coming our way? And then they're, did you know that the company's testing us? Yeah. Now they're testing us to see if we're the dummies that are doing all the phishing. All of these things, according to the Better Business Bureau, amount to a lot of people having their personal information stolen. So do not click on something unless you know where it came from. Oh, it's good to have cellulite, ladies. Cellulite for women Especially cellulite In your thighs, your hips, your butt area May give you extra protection Against dementia and strokes

03:02:28 - 03:02:29 | Speaker 4:

Really?

03:02:29 - 03:03:59 | Speaker 3:

Yeah Test on mice Mice with cellulite They sound that If the mice has Some extra fat in certain areas Like I just pointed out That actually they found that The mice responded better, and they believe that this is actually a good thing. By the way, heart issues and stroke issues are really big for premenopausal women, and they're saying that women who have cellulite, don't worry about it. Don't make yourself feel bad. This is actually a good moment. I did not know this story. Did you guys know in the state of Michigan, child marriage is still legal? What? Yes, and there's a group that is fighting this right now because, you ready for this? Over the course of the last 20 years, 5,400 children under the age of 18 have been married in Michigan since 2000. Yes. So there's a group that is fighting to try to get this law changed. And so far, they can't get the Michigan legislator to even put it on their docket. They want to make it so that it's possible that you have to be over the age of 18 to get married. Because right now, parents can sign off on younger than 18 getting married. A couple of weird stories in the news. This one was, like, really weird, a Michigan story. Did you hear the story about the guy who filed down his teeth and kidnapped women and held them in hotel rooms in Genesee County?

03:03:59 - 03:04:02 | Speaker 2:

The photo is insane. The guy looks beyond nuts.

03:04:03 - 03:04:21 | Speaker 3:

Yeah, he's got face tattoos all over and stuff like that, and he's got his teeth all filed down. Genesee County Sheriff Chris Swanson, who I love this guy, Chris Swanson is speaking out. This is from Channel 4WDIV in Detroit and our friend Mara McDonald.

03:04:21 - 03:04:36 | Speaker 2:

These are the kinds of things that happen in Genesee County. They happen in Flint. They happen in Michigan. They happen around the country. People that have teeth that are filed down to points that are threatening to rip out the throat of victims.

03:04:37 - 03:04:50 | Speaker 1:

Genesee County Sheriff Chris Swanson going public with the case of 36-year-old Michael Barajas, who detectives say groomed and ultimately kidnapped a 20-year-old woman, holding her against her will, where she was raped by multiple men.

03:04:50 - 03:05:00 | Speaker 2:

She not only tried to escape once, not only just twice, it took three times for her to try to escape. Swanson says he screwed the window shut and had locked...

03:05:00 - 03:05:16 | Speaker 1:

on the doors. Barajas allegedly telling her he'd rip her throat out with his teeth that he'd filed into points if she tried to run again. She was ultimately rescued when she ended up in Hurley Hospital because of a medical emergency related to a pregnancy. We are still actively looking into

03:05:16 - 03:05:22 | Speaker 2:

this case. We know that this guy with those teeth and that guy that matches the description that's

03:05:22 - 03:05:57 | Speaker 3:

under arrest, there's more out there. It's scary. It's like something out of a movie, isn't it? Yes. Jeez. This story is wild. Did you hear the story about the Los Angeles sheriff's deputy that is under investigation for allegedly having sex on the job and ready for this? The audio went over the LASD airwaves. So the rookie female deputy was working at the men's central jail. And you could hear that deputy getting busy on duty.

03:05:58 - 03:06:04 | Speaker 5:

I'm going to rip my underwear. Is that what she says?

03:06:05 - 03:06:52 | Speaker 3:

I think so, yeah. At one point, the audio, you can hear the woman giggling, and then you hear the person that's like the dispatcher going, Your radio's on It's like stop that thing Oh my god That's crazy because there was a story in Phoenix Just this week about the popo In Phoenix and how They were making a porn on duty Oh my god It's crazy like actually it's funny Under the twitter name Rico Blaze Somebody posted that That porn This story is crazy A woman busted for stealing a Las Vegas hotel guest watch, a really expensive like $12,000 Rolex watch, and then concealing it in her hoo-ha.

03:06:54 - 03:06:57 | Speaker 5:

How'd she steal it? Like where was the watch?

03:06:57 - 03:07:23 | Speaker 3:

A man called 911 at the Aria Hotel to report a woman, later identified as Sarah Richards, who he had taken to his room for a little sexual romp. Oh, he said that the pair started to cuddle when Richards then reportedly took off his Rolex watch, put it on his nightstand. He was drinking a little bit too much. He insisted that he thinks that he might have gotten drugged. And then he noticed that the watch was gone.

03:07:23 - 03:07:24 | Speaker 1:

Well, that's not sanitary.

03:07:24 - 03:07:43 | Speaker 3:

Well, the police later, you know, was able to kind of like pull this woman aside. and they found out that this woman has a history of putting expensive things that she'll steal from people in their rooms in her vagina. How many watches can you fit?

03:07:44 - 03:07:53 | Speaker 5:

I want to know. Inappropriate question. I mean, wouldn't that be a question that you would ask? How did they first find out that she did that is my question.

03:07:53 - 03:07:56 | Speaker 3:

Well, I think that, I don't know.

03:07:56 - 03:08:01 | Speaker 5:

Did she confess or how does it get to the point where they're like, Show it so it's in your vagina.

03:08:01 - 03:08:46 | Speaker 3:

All right, ready? Here you go. It says the officers initially could not find Richard's watch, later located in her genitals. Officers later impound... Oh, wait, hold on a second. The man noticed it went missing. He followed her down the hall. Oh, I think he noticed her taking it out of her. Oh, okay. Officers impounded the watch, placed it in a biohazard bag. Police said that they found open purple pill capsules there That they believe that she used to drug this guy Police warn that if you do take a guest back with you to your room That you should hide your valuables Not like she hid it

03:08:46 - 03:08:47 | Speaker 2:
