00:04:25 - 00:04:37 | Speaker 5:

All systems go. Let's get out with the weekend. Last weekend, I went out with my friends, and we got totally wasted. Well, it sounds great to me. It's the weekend, baby.

Mojo in the Morning. Welcome to the Mojo in the Morning Show. Or as I like to do. Welcome to the Mojo, the Mojo in the Morning Show. It is Christmas time on Mojo in the Morning Show. This is the Mojo, Mojo in the Morning Show. Bells will be ringing.

00:05:00 - 00:05:18 | Speaker 1:

on mojo in the morning show hey happy almost christmas it's mojo in the morning or unless you're in shannon's neighborhood happy can you turn that thing down i feel so bad my christmas

00:05:18 - 00:05:40 | Speaker 2:

lights this year you guys are absolutely spectacular you had the pros come out i had i had pink pro come out and do my lights this year and i they literally every time i drive by in my house, I'm so happy because it's just gorgeous and all lit up and I've never had lights like this before. I've never, you know, been able to have somebody do my lights, but they're a fabulous client of this show and so they offered to do them for me this

00:05:40 - 00:05:44 | Speaker 3:

year. Well, Pink Crow did our building and I think airplanes can see it like the land is.

00:05:44 - 00:06:29 | Speaker 2:

Well, I did, I mean, my house is bright and beautiful and they like lined the roof with lights and they did all my trees and all my bushes and they even put twinkling lights on some of my bushes because they, ooh, So it makes me very happy. Well, my neighbor's son, who's Lucy's age, he's eight years old, made a comment yesterday about how he has to pull down his shades at night because my house is so bright that he hasn't been able to fall asleep. So his mom had to get him blackout shades for his room because his room is at the front of the house and he can see my house. My house is right across the street. I was like, oh, I'm the Clark Griswold. all over the street. You know what you need to do?

00:06:29 - 00:06:36 | Speaker 1:

You need to call Pink Pro up and ask them to come out and set the settings to blinking so that it makes it even worse.

00:06:36 - 00:06:37 | Speaker 2:

Well, some of them are twinkling.

00:06:37 - 00:06:38 | Speaker 1:

Oh, are they really?

00:06:38 - 00:06:38 | Speaker 2:

Yeah.

00:06:39 - 00:06:49 | Speaker 1:

Yeah. So it looks like a business. If you ever lived next to a business with a big old street sign or something like that, and this thing's going in your window the whole time. Yeah.

00:06:50 - 00:07:01 | Speaker 2:

It was so funny because his mom was complimenting the lights and he's like, yeah, we had to get those special shades, Mom, because I couldn't sleep. Well, that's a good endorsement for them.

00:07:01 - 00:07:10 | Speaker 3:

I was thinking maybe they'd turn it into a promo. Like, if we do your lights, we give you free blackout shades for the neighbors because it just looks that big and bright. That's a great commercial.

00:07:11 - 00:07:34 | Speaker 1:

Is there anybody listening whose neighbor's holiday decorations are so obnoxious that it actually is a pain in the ass for you? Because we always joke about the inflatables like Mike has in front of his house. Just the sound of those things annoys me. You know, the motor's going all the time, and you see people that will leave them on all the time, too. Like, you're hearing that at night.

00:07:35 - 00:07:49 | Speaker 3:

Or we talk about how much we love driving to that house. Every neighborhood has the one house you know is so overboard with decorations that people come from all around to see it. But you don't want to live next to that house because people are pulling, turning around in your driveway and parking in your street.

00:07:49 - 00:08:16 | Speaker 2:

There's one in Royal Oak that I need to take the kids to, people keep telling me. It's on, like, 12 Mile in Washington or something, and it's called, like, they have a name and a Facebook page for this house. Apparently, it's the last year. They're doing it this year because it's just gotten too expensive. The lighting bill has gotten too expensive. But, yeah, like, if you live, here it is. It's called the Crazy Christmas House in Royal Oak. Look at this house. Wow. You want to see the Crazy Christmas House. Every inflatable, every light, every inch of that house has lights on it.

00:08:16 - 00:08:18 | Speaker 3:

Show that to your neighbors and tell them you're thinking that next year.

00:08:18 - 00:08:24 | Speaker 2:

I want to go there. I know. It looks amazing. But not if you're the neighbor. Yeah.

00:08:24 - 00:08:24 | Unknown:

Yeah.

00:08:25 - 00:09:02 | Speaker 1:

844-MOJO-LIVE, 844-665-6548 is our telephone number. Or you can text 95500 to get through to us. Our radio station lights are like the lights that you're talking about, Spike. Like the runway lights. Super bright. Because you can see it from like a block or so away. Oh, yeah. If you're actually over at the corner where the Speedway gas station is, you know exactly where we are. And those things like stay on. And they actually did a great job. The Pink Pro did a great job. It looks beautiful. Lining that up. And thank you to them for also decorating the inside of the building because we're using those lights now for our heat in our building.

00:09:02 - 00:09:04 | Speaker 2:

What is going on out there?

00:09:04 - 00:09:07 | Speaker 3:

The heat might not work, but it's because the lights are draining all the energy.

00:09:07 - 00:09:12 | Speaker 1:

Mark was telling me the story about the HVAC system here. We've used the same company for years.

00:09:13 - 00:09:15 | Speaker 3:

It was already an outdated system when we installed it.

00:09:15 - 00:09:32 | Speaker 1:

Yeah, well, the company sent out a guy to come fix the thing. And when the guy came out, the guy, I think, got fed up finally with the fact that we've never replaced the thing. And the guy goes, yeah, I don't see anything wrong with this whole thing. And then the next day it broke. And so they had to hire a new company to come out and fix the thing.

00:09:33 - 00:09:36 | Speaker 3:

Well, don't worry. We're moving out in the next nine years. Right, exactly.

00:09:37 - 00:09:59 | Speaker 1:

Guys, we've got a great show for you today. A breaking and entering Christmas wish coming up here in just like the next 40 minutes that is just heartbreaking. But we need to help this family out, so we'll have that for you. We have our grand finale of our Mojo's Mistledoe with all kinds of good cash to give away, including your chance to win $10,000 plus Taylor.

00:10:00 - 00:10:15 | Speaker 6:

Swift Miss, Taylor Swift tickets, we're going to have those for you at 6.30 and 9.30. So be listening to the show. If you don't win this hour, you can always be with us at 9.30. We want to make sure that you're listening to the show. What's up with Melanie? Hi, Melanie.

00:10:16 - 00:10:17 | Speaker 3:

Yeah.

00:10:17 - 00:10:18 | Speaker 6:

Hi, what's going on?

00:10:19 - 00:10:30 | Speaker 3:

Hi. When I was a teenager, I'm in my 30s now. Our neighbors put up such big Christmas lights. My dad's epileptic, and it set his seizures off.

00:10:30 - 00:10:34 | Speaker 6:

Oh, my God. I never would think of that. Holy cow.

00:10:34 - 00:10:38 | Speaker 3:

So right in our driveway in front of all of our neighbors, my dad had a massive seizure.

00:10:39 - 00:10:41 | Speaker 6:

Jeez, wow. Oh, my God. Wow.

00:10:41 - 00:10:49 | Speaker 3:

We had to ask him to please take down some of their lights. You know, not all of them, but some of them, and not the flashing ones, please.

00:10:49 - 00:10:54 | Speaker 6:

I never would think that there's health concerns with the lights that are on.

00:10:55 - 00:11:00 | Speaker 3:

Yes, like even, you know, video games set people with TV. Sure. Oh, I've heard of that.

00:11:01 - 00:11:03 | Speaker 6:

Yeah. Hey, thank you for the call. I appreciate it.

00:11:04 - 00:11:05 | Speaker 3:

You're more than welcome. Thank you.

00:11:06 - 00:11:36 | Speaker 6:

Take care of yourself. A couple of texters that are texting here this morning. I live in an apartment complex where my neighbors have their balconies decorated, and the balcony's lights shine right into my apartment every single night. That's like Shannon's poor neighbor with the blackout shades. And then another person here, I actually hate the Christmas lights we have on our house that my husband put on there. So I've gone out and unplugged them numerous times. My husband thinks that one of the neighbors is doing that. I love that. Mojo in the Morning.

00:11:37 - 00:11:42 | Speaker 7:

It's Mojo in the Morning's Back in the Day. Let's go! Back in the Day. What year did this stuff happen?

00:11:42 - 00:11:52 | Speaker 6:

Three clues you tell us the year will set you up with tickets to see Louis Tomlinson. This was the year that Harriet Tubman replaced Andrew Jackson on the $20 bill.

00:11:52 - 00:11:56 | Speaker 5:

Harriet Tubman on the $20 bill, when will we actually see it?

00:11:56 - 00:12:00 | Speaker 2:

I'm looking forward to seeing Harriet on the $20, in 2030.

00:12:01 - 00:12:07 | Speaker 6:

This was the year that Chicago Cubs beat the Cleveland Indians in the World Series.

00:12:07 - 00:12:11 | Speaker 2:

This is going to be a tough play. Brian, the Cubs win the World Series.

00:12:11 - 00:12:17 | Speaker 6:

First World Series title for them in 108 years. And Justin Bieber, love yourself.

00:12:17 - 00:12:21 | Speaker 7:

Oh, baby, you should go and love yourself.

00:12:21 - 00:12:23 | Speaker 6:

Big song on radio, what year was that?

00:12:23 - 00:12:51 | Speaker 7:

You talk a big game in the car. Now prove how smart you are. Tell us the year this stuff happened. 844-MOJO-Live. 844-665-6548. It's another Mojo in the Morning holiday shopping safety tip. Be careful confronting the a-hole that stole the parking spot that drives a truck that's all jacked up with big tires. He has a big problem with his manhood and is probably packing heat. It's Mojo in the Morning. Back in the day, what year was this?

00:12:52 - 00:12:57 | Speaker 6:

It was the year that it was decided that Harriet Tubman was going to replace Andrew Jackson on the $20 bill.

00:12:57 - 00:13:01 | Speaker 5:

Harriet Tubman on the $20 bill. When will we actually see it?

00:13:01 - 00:13:10 | Speaker 2:

I'm looking forward to seeing Harriet on the $20 in 2030. The Cubbies win the World Series.

00:13:10 - 00:13:18 | Speaker 6:

Win the World Series! And Justin had the number one song on the radio. Wendy, what year was that?

00:13:18 - 00:13:20 | Speaker 4:

Good morning, 2016

00:13:20 - 00:13:23 | Speaker 6:

There you go, congratulations What gave it away?

00:13:24 - 00:13:35 | Speaker 4:

It was the Cubbies winning the World Series My college freshman hung that flag With the big W And I used to tease him how awesome it was That he'd hang a flag with his mom's initial

00:13:35 - 00:13:44 | Speaker 6:

Had nothing to do with his mom It had everything to do with his love for his team Congratulations, go Cubs, go We're going to set you up with tickets to go see Louie Tomlinson

00:13:44 - 00:13:49 | Speaker 4:

00:14:16 - 00:14:18 | Speaker 7:

Mojo in the Morning's Dirty on the 30.

00:14:18 - 00:14:24 | Speaker 6:

We're going to get you caught up on what's trending this morning in the Dirty on the 30. And what are you starting off with this morning, Shannon?

00:14:24 - 00:14:37 | Speaker 1:

Okay, if this is true, it's bad because she's cheap. Jennifer Lopez was accused of removing servers' tips from a table after Ben Affleck quote-unquote tipped too much.

00:14:38 - 00:14:39 | Speaker 6:

Come on, really?

00:14:39 - 00:15:00 | Speaker 1:

So, this is coming from a former casino dealer who is ranting about this in a now-deleted TikTok video. But in the video, this employee blasted Ben Affleck for being rude to other casino players and pointed out that anybody who works in casinos is very well aware of how cheap he truly is. And we're throwing her into the...

00:15:00 - 00:15:32 | Speaker 3:

mix as well. This dealer said Ben Affleck has one of the worst reputations in the casino industry. We hate him. She went on blessing J-Lo for being stingy as well and said Jen tells Ben not to tip. He doesn't tip anymore, baby. You don't need to tell him nothing because he ain't doing it in the first place. Her words, not mine. And she said all of her colleagues can vouch for the couple's terrible behavior when it comes to tipping. Wow. Can you imagine telling somebody Oh, no, no, no, you tip too much. Take some of that off the table.

00:15:32 - 00:15:33 | Speaker 1:

Yeah, that's not good.

00:15:34 - 00:15:48 | Speaker 3:

DMA co-anchors and now lovers, Amy Robach and TJ Holmes have been spotted. They were walking arm in arm after grabbing a little lunch at the Capitol Grill in New York City, breaking cover for the first time since their secret love affair got them booted from ABC.

00:15:49 - 00:15:51 | Speaker 1:

Even cheating anchors need to eat. Let them go out and have fun.

00:15:51 - 00:16:09 | Speaker 3:

You know what I thought was really interesting? So the Daily Mail was the one that published a whole bunch of photos of them walking out of TJ's apartment in the financial district walking into Capitol Grill. Well, then somebody at Capitol Grill obviously sold them out because the photos that Daily Mail is posting were from the security cameras, like way up above.

00:16:09 - 00:16:10 | Speaker 2:

Okay.

00:16:10 - 00:16:16 | Speaker 3:

Right? Like, you're not going back to that restaurant ever because somebody was making some money selling photos of you.

00:16:16 - 00:16:18 | Speaker 2:

Did you really need them to come back, though?

00:16:18 - 00:16:32 | Speaker 3:

No, I'm just saying, like, that's rude. But ABC Network president Kim Godwin did inform staff, if you missed us talking about this, that Amy and TJ will remain off air pending the completion of an internal review over at Good Morning America.

00:16:33 - 00:17:09 | Speaker 1:

I got to tell you, I kind of give Today Show a little credit on this one. So, man, the whole Matt Lauer scandal came down. I mean, Good Morning America was all over it. I mean, they were just bashing the hell out of that. This scandal, obviously, less than the Matt Lauer scandal, but Today Show hasn't covered it at all. They haven't been doing any coverage of it. I know CBS This Morning. I did see it on their website. CBS This Morning, on the show, CBS This Morning has been talking about it because Gayle King's been giving her two cents on the whole deal. She's actually been supportive of the two. But it's been wild that you don't see Hoda and Savannah talking about it. Maybe they've got a policy because Good Morning America still has good ratings.

00:17:09 - 00:17:12 | Speaker 3:

Or maybe they're friends with one or the other, TJ or Amy.

00:17:12 - 00:17:21 | Speaker 1:

See, I know Amy used to work there. She used to work at the Today Show. But I think, honestly, it's a ratings thing. It's like we're not talking about our competitor because we don't want to give them anybody a reason to go turn over.

00:17:21 - 00:17:25 | Speaker 2:

I don't follow television news. What network are they on?

00:17:25 - 00:17:27 | Speaker 1:

So they're on ABC, Good Morning America.

00:17:27 - 00:17:29 | Speaker 2:

And that was the same one that Matt Lauer was on?

00:17:30 - 00:17:31 | Speaker 1:

No, he was on Today Show. Okay, sorry.

00:17:31 - 00:17:38 | Speaker 2:

This is where I'm trying to figure, like, draw these connections. Yeah, why? Well, then are you the hypocrites for calling it out when you went through? Ooh. Yeah, I don't know.

00:17:39 - 00:17:48 | Speaker 1:

I don't know. I think it's kind of like one of those things. Like, I've worked for program directors before that are like, don't ever mention the competition. But we're like, wait, but they are in a scandal right now. Why would we not mention the competition?

00:17:48 - 00:18:31 | Speaker 3:

Told you yesterday that Henry Cavill officially hung up his Superman red cane. Not on his own accord, by the way. Well, we're learning that he's now going to star and executive produce in a series adaptation of Warhammer 40,000. It's that popular science fiction fantasy war game. Amazon is in final talks for rights to this thing. If you've never heard of it, Warhammer, the best way I can describe it, it's similar to Dungeons and Dragons. But you've got, like, these little intricate miniatures that you can place and move around this, like, battlefield or world. The game setting is 40,000 years into the future. But Henry Cavill is known to be a Warhammer fan. He even paints his own little minifigure. So this is perfect for him.

00:18:32 - 00:18:35 | Speaker 2:

Still want to know why he is no longer doing The Witcher.

00:18:35 - 00:18:48 | Speaker 3:

Oh, The Witcher. I'm very curious why I have to know. And lastly, Khloe Kardashian clearing up any speculation around her relationship with Tristan Thompson while participating in a Vanity Fair lie detector test with her sister, Kourtney.

00:18:48 - 00:18:50 | Speaker 4:

Are you sleeping with Tristan?

00:18:50 - 00:18:51 | Speaker 3:

No, I'm not.

00:18:52 - 00:18:53 | Speaker 4:

I'm really not. Sam?

00:18:54 - 00:18:55 | Speaker 3:

Yes, that's true.

00:18:55 - 00:19:11 | Speaker 4:

Bravo. Then it was Kourtney's turn. Have you guys ever been caught doing the deed? In our home? Have you been caught outside of your home? Yes. Do you regret doing that? Nope.

00:19:12 - 00:19:12 | Unknown:

Good for you.

00:19:13 - 00:19:22 | Speaker 3:

Do you know that Khloe won't let True spend the night at Kourtney's house ever? Why? Because Kourtney's crazy. I'm like, why?

00:19:22 - 00:19:23 | Speaker 2:

That's so weird.

00:19:24 - 00:19:27 | Speaker 1:

They all have 13 servants, right? So it's not like she's alone with her.

00:19:27 - 00:19:36 | Speaker 2:

I know. So a lot of people think that Khloe has trust issues just in general. She bought the house directly behind Kris Jenner. Yeah. True doesn't leave.

00:19:36 - 00:19:42 | Speaker 3:

But is it because Courtney and Travis are, like, having sex all over the place and she doesn't want True to be exposed to that, or what is it?

00:19:42 - 00:19:52 | Speaker 2:

Or is it the weird, like, can't have plastics or televisions in the home, no candy for the Candyland-themed birthday party? I don't know. She's weird. She's weird. I love her. She's weird.

00:20:00 - 00:20:06 | Speaker 5:

It happens in minutes. Back to Mojo in the morning.

00:20:12 - 00:20:27 | Speaker 1:

Spike, we're going to do a phone scam right now. We're going to do a phone scam Don. He is the assistant manager at a grocery store, and you're going to be a customer with a little bit of a problem with the store's motorized scooter. It's a phone scam here on Mojo in the morning.

00:20:27 - 00:20:37 | Speaker 5:

We will, we will scam you. Sorry, it's a catchy song. It's your home of phone scans. Mojo in the morning.

00:20:43 - 00:20:49 | Speaker 2:

Thank you for calling. This is Shauna. How can I help you? Hi, Shauna. Can I speak to your manager, please? Uh, sure.

00:20:53 - 00:20:56 | Speaker 4:

Hello, this is Don speaking. Can I help you?

00:20:56 - 00:21:04 | Speaker 2:

Let me tell you my conundrum. The mobilized shopping carts, the scooters that you make available to customers with challenges or injuries?

00:21:05 - 00:21:06 | Speaker 4:

Yes, I know what you're talking about.

00:21:06 - 00:21:20 | Speaker 2:

Yes, thank you. Well, I'm on one of those, and I would like to, first of all, thank you for making that an offer for your customers. Second of all, I would like to know if you could bring out a new scooter because this one ran out of GoJuice.

00:21:21 - 00:21:25 | Speaker 4:

Well, sure, we can bring one out to you. Where are you? Are you outside in the parking lot?

00:21:25 - 00:21:30 | Speaker 2:

Well, no, I'm a little bit further. Can you hear me over the cars? Hello?

00:21:32 - 00:21:32 | Speaker 4:

I can hear you fine.

00:21:32 - 00:21:47 | Speaker 2:

Where are you? I'm in the median of Telegraph Road. Where? Telegraph Road. Maybe about, I only got maybe about a quarter mile or a half mile away. And if these things don't go that far, then you need to let a customer know.

00:21:49 - 00:21:55 | Speaker 4:

Those things are only meant to go from inside of our store out to your car or something like that. You shouldn't have taken it as far as you've taken it.

00:21:55 - 00:22:23 | Speaker 2:

You're where again? I'm on Telegraph Road, and I don't know if I can get it back because obviously it has no more electric. But also, I'm a little scared of all the crazy traffic because of four lanes of traffic going at this speed. I tried to get across the road, but the light kept changing before I could get all the way across. I'm really concerned for your safety of you being out there. Right, me too. Thank you for saying so. So could you bring a new one, please, so I can return to my car?

00:22:24 - 00:22:29 | Speaker 4:

I really can't bring a new one to you, but I can call the police or something to help you if you need me to.

00:22:29 - 00:22:59 | Speaker 2:

Okay, yeah, but please, I don't want a big deal made about it, because I don't want the police to have my government name and all that business. I don't want a lot of attention. Could you just send maybe one of your employees out to bring a new one, and we can swap? I'd really like to help you. What are you feeling in, like, the cookie genre right now? the cookie genre well yes as a manager of a store like what kind of cookies are you recommending because if i get back there on a new scooter i want to buy some cookies ma'am i'm just really

00:22:59 - 00:23:05 | Speaker 3:

worried about getting you back to our parking lot safety no i know and i hear you it's just that i

00:23:05 - 00:23:58 | Speaker 2:

ate all my cookies here while i was waiting for help so i'm gonna definitely need to get some new cookies and also done let me ask you this what do you call an employee that shops at another grocery store ma'am i really just need to know your location a trader joe get it a trader these cookies taste horrible i'm not getting eaten again tell me exactly your location again i'm sitting in this chair waiting for you to come get me ma'am i just don't know i i can try my Telegraph Road, right? You know where that is. It's the biggest, busiest street. I know. Also, did you know that if you stroke your husband's t-shirt with one hand and a Kiwi with the other and close your eyes, you won't feel the difference? And that's why I'm not allowed to shop at your competitor anymore?

00:23:59 - 00:24:04 | Speaker 4:

This is one of the strangest things I've ever had to do with my life. Me too, right?

00:24:04 - 00:24:17 | Speaker 2:

You're really going to think this is strange when I tell you this is Spike and you've just been the victim of a mojo in the morning phone scam. You can thank Wendy and the crew for the idea. They just phone scammed you.

00:24:17 - 00:24:25 | Speaker 3:

Oh, my God. I can't believe we even got this far in the phone call. Hey, make sure you tell all your listeners to come stock up here for their holiday party.

00:24:26 - 00:24:29 | Speaker 2:

Oh, look at this guy. He's a company guy. Exactly.

00:24:29 - 00:24:37 | Speaker 5:

We will, we will scam you. You're home with the phone scams.

00:24:38 - 00:24:40 | Speaker 2:

Somebody give me a little guidance on this one here. Are we breaking into Christmas wish? Are they out there? Are they at the house? Help me, help me. Mojo in the morning show. So let me just tease. Yes, we're getting them on the line. Okay, good. Get them on the line. Let me tease this hour for you then. I'll tease this entire hour. We got a good one for you, a breaking and entering Christmas wish. That is definitely a Kleenex alert. I mean, this is such a sad story of a new mom that died. We will do that wish in just a second. First, though, I wanted to tell you that later this hour is your last chance for the 7 o'clock hour to get qualified to win $10,000 in our missile dough. Brought to you by the Ideal U Health Center. So listen at 7.30. And if you don't win then, then you've got to come back at 8.30. So I don't care if you've got to be in class or whatever the story is.

You want to win $10,000, so somebody's going to win that this morning. It should be you. Topics this hour are going to be good ones. Who stole my points? I'm going to call somebody out for that one. And you only get gifts if you are under 18. That's on the way this hour, and the beauty of that topic is it involves Spike's wonderful sister, Patty. Because we always know Remember she's done the most amazing letters over the years It's not Christmas time Until Patty has a good Christmas story And we got a good one for her

00:30:36 - 00:30:45 | Speaker 3:

That's just the icing on the cake Because we also have a Christmas phone scam We have the throwback throwdown Which is my favorite part of the whole week And then of course Taylor Swift tickets

00:36:07 - 00:36:09 | Speaker 3:

That's an important part to this.

00:36:10 - 00:36:11 | Speaker 2:

Hey, grandpa, how you doing, buddy?

00:36:13 - 00:36:22 | Speaker 3:

00:37:13 - 00:37:57 | Speaker 3:

So right now we've all kind of stepped up. They've invited us into the house, and so we are all sitting right in the doorway here We're waiting at the top of the stairs for John, who is getting dressed. We have the present sitting right on the front porch. We get to still have the surprise, though, because the door is closed. So I don't think he'll be able to see all the presents when he walks up. But I don't know if he's putting on a suit right now. Why don't you go help him? Go explore. Go help him. Here he comes. He's walking up the stairs right now. He just said, uh-oh. Good morning, John. Merry Christmas. How are you? Oh, my gosh. Good, how are you? Good. Mike. Nice to meet you. Nice to meet you. I'm on the phone with the morning show right now. How's it going? Good morning.

00:37:57 - 00:37:59 | Speaker 2:

Hey, John, it's Mojo. How are you?

00:37:59 - 00:38:00 | Speaker 3:

I'm doing all right. How are you?

00:38:00 - 00:38:18 | Speaker 2:

Good. John, we received a letter from a very special person for our Breaking and Entering Christmas Wish program, and we heard the story of what's been happening to you guys, and I want them to read you the letter. Is that okay? Sure. Take a listen.

00:38:20 - 00:39:58 | Speaker 4:

Dear Mojo in the morning, my name is Susan Polis, and I would love for you to consider granting a wish for a new little family. Kylie and John Zimmer were together for nine years and married for about five of those. They were the epitome of love. Kylie was a bundle of joy, always upbeat and ready to give you a hug or kind words. John is on the quieter side, but his love for his wife has always been evident. Last spring on their anniversary, Kylie and John announced the impending birth of their daughter, Nora She was born at the end of September and is just three months old She's a happy newborn and the cutest thing you will ever see But then tragedy struck We lost Kylie on November 26th She unexpectedly passed away at only 29 years old we lost her smile and her light in this world. There's a huge hole where Kylie was. She left her husband, now the only parent for this tiny little girl. He's a phenomenal father, but I know he was not ready to do this without his wife. Kylie also left her parents, two sisters, many aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends, all who are very close and are very devastated. Mojo, please grant a wish for John and Nora a wish while it won't bring Kylie back we'll show how much they are loved and that we care about them thank you for your consideration much love, honorary Aunt Susan

00:40:00 - 00:40:01 | Unknown:

very nice

00:40:01 - 00:40:10 | Speaker 2:

isn't that beautiful it's so nice John that beautiful baby of yours

00:40:10 - 00:40:14 | Speaker 4:

she's staring right at him right now too

00:40:14 - 00:41:00 | Speaker 2:

yeah John we we feel the pain in knowing that you you lost the love of your life and we know the pain that she must have had too yeah we want to grant this Christmas wish John from all of us on the show but from all of our listeners we want you to know that we want to make yours and Nora's and grandma and grandpa and all the aunts and everybody you know Kylie's family we want them to know that Kylie is is thought of and that we are praying for your family and we want to make sure that you guys have the best Christmas that you possibly can have after such a tragedy.

00:41:01 - 00:41:02 | Unknown:

Thank you.

00:41:03 - 00:41:25 | Speaker 3:

I know you know that walking through something like this, you have your circle wrapping their arms around you. And little did you know, I think, that we're adding a couple million more this morning. Yeah. Okay? You have a lot of people who are hearing your story and are going to be thinking about you and baby Nora this Christmas.

00:41:26 - 00:41:51 | Speaker 2:

John, the love that you have for that baby is so evident in seeing, you know, how you and grandma and grandpa are handling everything. But we're going to try to do some things to make things easier. Mike, do you want to, like, walk John over to show him, like, everything that he's got to go through? Like, there's a lot of presence that hurt.

00:41:52 - 00:42:12 | Speaker 4:

Holy cow. Holy cow. Holy cow. Yeah. The front porch, the front patio here is full of gifts for you and the family. Thank you very much.

00:42:12 - 00:42:49 | Speaker 2:

John, we had so much fun shopping for Nora. It brought back memories of when we had all our little ones buying all the cool things that little kids have these days. And I mean, even just buying pacifiers, a pack of pacifiers to us put a smile on our face, but also brought tears to our eyes. We've got so much stuff for Nora that Nora is going to be taken care of. But we also wanted to take care of you. I'm so happy to know that you went out with some buddies last night. I'm happy to know that we're also going to help you out, too. Grandma and Grandpa, are you OK with doing a little bit more babysitting?

00:42:50 - 00:42:51 | Speaker 4:

00:43:49 - 00:44:18 | Speaker 1:

well it's so much fun uh in seeing you know like mojo said it brings back memories of it's been a while since our little babies were that little but to be able to buy all those things and see the familiar baby einstein stuff and leapfrog and baby shark and one thousand diapers even even here in graco travel system i was like oh my god it took me forever to put these things together i love it so we're gonna make sure nora is set up yeah and and john we

00:44:18 - 00:44:59 | Speaker 2:

also want to be able to help you with the financial too and that's why a breaking entering christmas wish is going to write you a check for twenty five hundred dollars so that you have some money in an account that you can use when things kind of uh start getting a little a little tougher plus a five hundred dollar kroger gift card so the grandma and grandpa and aunts and everybody can help john is john a cook guys i don't know if he's a cook a little bit but i'm more of an eater Guys, I'd like to talk about Kylie, and I'd like to talk about this because I think that the awareness of this is so important, especially with so many female listeners that we have.

00:45:00 - 00:45:21 | Speaker 1:

postpartum is one of the most you know not talked about things that people don't understand after having a baby the thing that new moms go through it's very real and very devastating yeah could you tell our listeners a little bit about Kylie, about Nora's beautiful mom?

00:45:24 - 00:45:25 | Speaker 4:

I don't know.

00:45:25 - 00:45:25 | Speaker 1:

No.

00:45:29 - 00:45:32 | Speaker 5:

Somebody else? Kylie's sister's here.

00:45:33 - 00:45:36 | Speaker 1:

Kylie's sister, you want to say something about Kylie?

00:45:37 - 00:45:45 | Speaker 4:

Emily, right? Yeah. There's really not much to say here. They're truly one of a kind. Sorry.

00:45:45 - 00:46:00 | Speaker 3:

she took everybody in i'm i'm honorary at susan and i am honorary at susan because she she called me at susan yeah from the time she was little and she's just happy she's just a happy

00:46:00 - 00:46:06 | Speaker 5:

girl she still is i'm sure loved deep and loved heart everybody that she came encounter with

00:46:06 - 00:46:12 | Speaker 3:

And we've got several of our friends are here who love her, too.

00:46:13 - 00:46:39 | Speaker 1:

Well, we feel her, too. And I felt her when I saw this letter. You know, Susan, your letter was so beautiful, and it was so well written. But I really felt the presence of this, you know, this story and this tragedy. But I also want you to know that Nora will not be forgotten, that she may only be two months old. But for years to come, the Mojo in the Morning show is going to remember John and Nora and the beautiful family that you have, buddy.

00:46:39 - 00:47:26 | Speaker 2:

A love as powerful as Kylie's leaves its mark. And it's obvious in how you guys speak about her. It's obvious in how even after she's gone, that letter got to us to let us know that we have to make sure that we're all there for Nora. and as people on this show as we have personally experienced postpartum depression in various stages we have to remind listeners that some women aren't diagnosed until the disease is already established it's rare in that situation that you don't know you're you're going to have a problem until you have a problem and that sometimes it's immediate and sometimes it's months or a year later and it's something we all have to be aware of and really protect the mothers as what they're going through is sometimes ignored because we're all so focused on a baby.

00:47:28 - 00:47:34 | Speaker 1:

I want to wish you guys a Merry Christmas, and I want to let you guys go enjoy everything that we brought in this morning, okay?

00:47:35 - 00:47:37 | Speaker 3:

Thank you very much. Thank you.

00:47:37 - 00:47:38 | Speaker 5:

Thank you very much.

00:47:39 - 00:47:41 | Speaker 1:

John, we'll see you at that Red Wings game, buddy.

00:47:41 - 00:47:42 | Speaker 4:

Sounds good.

00:47:42 - 00:47:43 | Speaker 2:

Thank you very much. Merry Christmas.

00:47:44 - 00:47:54 | Speaker 1:

Kiss Nora for us, please. I will. Mojo in the morning. Hi, Alice. How are you doing? Got you teared up this morning.

00:47:56 - 00:47:56 | Speaker 4:

Yeah.

00:47:58 - 00:48:10 | Speaker 1:

Yeah, sad story and just a heartbreaking situation and definitely pray for this beautiful family, for John and Nora and the Zimmer family, okay?

00:48:11 - 00:48:12 | Speaker 5:

Oh, I will be.

00:48:12 - 00:48:16 | Speaker 1:

All right. I appreciate you so much for calling in. Hey, Jordan, what's going on?

00:48:17 - 00:48:18 | Speaker 5:

Hey, how are you guys doing this morning?

00:48:18 - 00:48:23 | Speaker 1:

We're doing okay. We're smiling because this beautiful family is smiling right now, thank God.

00:48:24 - 00:48:50 | Speaker 5:

Yeah, I actually went to high school with John. He was a year older than I was, and I didn't know him personally. But I just have been thinking about this family every day because I just recently have gone through this postpartum depression, and it hits hard. And to know that they're going through that right now, I'm so grateful for you guys to do this for them because I can only think about them and pray for them. But thank you so much for everything that you've done for this family.

00:48:50 - 00:49:07 | Speaker 2:

Jordan, can I ask you to just speak of postpartum a little bit and the fact that a lot of people, it's very hard to understand because you're surrounded by people. It should be a joyful time surrounded by love when you have a new baby in the world. And people don't understand that even though you're surrounded by all these people, you feel so alone.

00:49:08 - 00:49:35 | Speaker 5:

Yeah, and you, I grew up with you, you pull up your bootstraps and you rub some dirt in it. And I really did not realize that I was going through it until, like, it hit you hard. And I, like, you want to do everything you can for your baby and everything you can to just put a smile on your face. But sometimes you do. You feel so alone and, like, a lot of people don't understand. And you also want to put a front on and just be brave.

00:49:35 - 00:49:46 | Speaker 2:

Yeah, because you feel guilty feeling that way because everybody's telling you this is a happy moment. So I just hope that's the one takeaway this morning for anyone is you don't suffer alone and please speak out.

00:49:46 - 00:49:59 | Speaker 1:

When John had to pass the phone to Kylie's sister, that was just tore me up. So I watch the live streams, the videos. And then, of course, we will have a video posted later today.

00:50:00 - 00:50:06 | Speaker 3:

All right. Shannon with the dirty on the 30 this morning. It smells so good in our studios. Did you guys see that Lydia's mom and dad hired a personal chef to cook breakfast for all of us this morning? Oh my gosh. Is that unbelievable?

00:51:42 - 00:51:43 | Speaker 5:

We're the sweetest family in the world.

00:51:43 - 00:52:05 | Speaker 3:

Our associate producer Lydia's mom is like the sweetest thing in the world and her dad, seriously, if he was here right now, I'd squeeze his belly. And they hired Misfit Victor's restaurant Lulu's to come in and cook for us. I don't know if I want Lulu or Victor cooking. I'd rather have Lulu, his mother-in-law, cooking.

00:52:05 - 00:52:07 | Speaker 5:

Do we have to... Look at him out there

00:52:07 - 00:52:18 | Speaker 3:

though, slaving away. But do we have to... Do we know if his hands are clean? I don't know. He's wearing gloves. He is wearing gloves? He is wearing gloves. Alright, I was going to make sure of that. He's holding him up in the air. Okay, what do you got in the sturdy?

00:52:18 - 00:52:24 | Speaker 5:

Well, Tyler Perry reacting to the death of Twitch by sharing his own past struggles with

00:52:24 - 00:52:52 | Speaker 1:

mental health. I like the rest of the world. I'm shocked by the death of Stephen Boss, Twitch. But with that said, I just want to take you back to a time in my life where I tried to commit suicide a couple of times because it was so dark. I didn't think it would get any better. I had endured so much pain, so much abuse, sexual abuse. It was all so hard to just move through that I thought the only way to make this better, this pain go away, is staying in my life.

00:52:52 - 00:52:57 | Speaker 5:

He went on to encourage those who may be struggling to reach out for help. I love what he says here.

00:52:58 - 00:53:27 | Speaker 1:

My life now, I'm the happiest I've ever been. Life is full of joy and love, things I never thought I'd get to. And I'm saying that to you. If you are a person who is considering suicide or ending your life, and you've already been through a lot of hell, please, please, please think about what the other side could be. it could be amazing and you would miss the best part of it going through the darkness don't let the darkness stop you from getting to this incredible place of light that's amazing

00:53:27 - 00:53:38 | Speaker 3:

yeah that's amazing and i mean after our breaking entering christmas wish this morning we're having a lot of moms that are calling us up and that have struggled with postpartum and many felt

00:53:38 - 00:53:43 | Speaker 5:

like taking their own lives there is an other side yeah just as he and it's and honestly i

00:53:43 - 00:53:54 | Speaker 3:

truly believe it's people like Tyler that have experienced this that are speaking out like this that really will be what could save you know even if it saves one person it's amazing

00:53:54 - 00:54:22 | Speaker 5:

that can take the shame away you don't need to feel shameful for feeling a certain way a side story about Tyler Perry while we're talking about him actually he's the godfather of Prince Harry and Meghan Markle's daughter Lilibet Diana baby Lily the couple revealing that info on the final episode of their Netflix docuseries Harry and Meghan. Now, the second batch of episodes that dropped this week also had Meghan talking about all sorts of things, including the numerous death threats that she's been receiving

00:54:22 - 00:54:53 | Speaker 4:

over the years. It just said, Meghan just needs to die. Someone needs to kill her. Maybe it should be me. And it's just like, that's like what's actually out in the world because of people creating hate, you know? And that's the piece when you see it and you go, you are making people want Like, kill me. It's not just a tabloid. It's not just some story. And like that night to be up and down in the middle of the night looking down my hallway. Like, are we safe? Are the doors locked? Is security on? Is everything? That's real. Are my babies safe?

00:54:53 - 00:54:59 | Speaker 5:

We also saw Harry discussing that infamous meeting with his brother and his dad and the queen.

00:55:00 - 00:55:09 | Speaker 4:

the famous Sandringham summit where he was trying to figure out what position he and Meghan, what place they were going to have in the royal family moving forward.

00:55:10 - 00:55:40 | Speaker 2:

It was terrifying to have my brother scream and shout at me and my father say things that just simply weren't true and my grandmother, you know, quietly sit there and sort of take it all in. You have to understand that from the family's perspective, especially from hers, her ultimate sort of mission goal slash responsibility is the institution. people around her are telling her that proposal or these two doing xyz is going to be seen as an attack on the institution then she's going to go on the advice that she's given you know it's very

00:55:40 - 00:56:28 | Speaker 4:

interesting about this docu-series and i talked briefly about this yesterday about how the u.s media u.s journalists are now kind of turning their back on harry and megan and just so upset with some of the content of what they've been seeing and even reading the headlines this morning people who were formerly fans of Harry and Meghan watch this and say yeah no more don't like him as much there's a headline on the Daily Mail this morning from a writer called named Sarah Vine and she said last week I felt sorry for Harry what a fool I am the real arrogant bitter vicious prince appears to be a rather nasty piece of work and it's horrible to witness it's just so interesting because I came away from it and I Megan I know you share the same sentiment going I really like them a whole bunch more I have so much more respect for them but it has it they We're already a very polarizing couple, and after this, they are so much more polarizing.

00:56:28 - 00:56:56 | Speaker 5:

First of all, is the Daily Mail. So take it as it's the Daily Mail. Very true. Very true. To be very clear here, is the Daily Mail. But I also think it's very interesting to see how much power the media truly does have. Because when they flip on you, you can create this narrative online and get a whole bunch of people behind you. Which is what she addressed, and it's so scary to be like, I don't like what you're doing and then they're like Let's make it ten times worse for you

00:56:56 - 00:57:08 | Speaker 4:

Yeah well it's funny because another headline on The Daily Mail Your Favorite said The burning question for our heat seeking missiles Of royal misery and despair Maybe the problem isn't everyone else Maybe it's you

00:57:08 - 00:57:16 | Speaker 5:

Don't they realize they're literally making Harry and Meghan's point By doing this? Like you're reinforcing everything they're saying As truthful

00:57:16 - 00:57:24 | Speaker 3:

But they're even like American press though That has been saying the same thing too Like the morning shows like Good Morning America I guess yesterday was ripping on it.

00:57:24 - 00:57:37 | Speaker 5:

Because they talk bad about journalists so they're angry. But they're proving their point by saying if you make a handful of people angry aka journalists you can turn millions of people against you.

00:57:38 - 00:57:46 | Speaker 3:

Hashtag Donald Trump. Because he also did the same thing too. He did not like the media. So there's one thing that Harry and Meghan share with him.

00:57:47 - 00:58:03 | Speaker 4:

Moving on in the dirty today. I love this. Johnny Depp got into character as Captain Jack Sparrow from Pirates of the Caribbean in a Make-A-Wish video for the sweetest 11-year-old fan of his named Corey, who, by the way, a little backstory here, has his own YouTube channel that features all pirate-themed videos.

00:58:04 - 00:58:19 | Speaker 1:

So, what I'm saying is, I shall be glad to follow your YouTube channel. I wish you the best of luck. I'm your number one fan, Captain Corey. All respect and love.

00:58:20 - 00:58:20 | Speaker 3:

How great is that?

00:58:20 - 00:59:25 | Speaker 4:

Thank you. His YouTube channel gained 200,000 subscribers, by the way, after Donnie does that for him. And lastly, singing Christmas carols together is more than just a tradition. Did you know it's also good for you? Like, it's good for your health. Really? Singing together, I'm feeling a sing-along coming on, increases the feel-good hormone oxytocin. So it improves your mood. It helps you to bond with your fellow singers as you perform healthy relationships. So group singing has psychosocial benefits for people living with all sorts of health conditions, builds resilience, enhances your mood, creates a sense of belonging and purpose, improves your quality of life, and promotes flourishing and well-being. And truly, research shows that singing Christmas carols can improve individual and social well-being for people with Parkinson's and their caregivers, mothers with postpartum depression, people living with cancer. It just gives you that little boost that you might need for a moment.

00:59:26 - 00:59:27 | Speaker 3:

Beer does all that for me.

Oh, my God. Who is that cutie pie?

01:00:17 - 01:00:19 | Speaker 3:

That's my daughter, Madison.

01:00:19 - 01:00:25 | Speaker 1:

Hi, Madison. Mommy's going to win $10,000, and then she's going to buy herself a lot of nice things. Say yes.

01:00:25 - 01:00:26 | Speaker 3:

Yay.

01:00:27 - 01:00:32 | Speaker 1:

Yay. Hey, be listening because next hour is when we're going to pick the grand prize winner. Okay, guys?

01:00:33 - 01:00:34 | Speaker 3:

I can't wait. Thank you.

01:00:34 - 01:00:36 | Speaker 1:

Hey, Merry Christmas. Santa's coming.

01:00:37 - 01:00:38 | Speaker 3:

All right. Thank you.

01:00:38 - 01:02:02 | Speaker 1:

Don't go anywhere. All right. Mojo on the morning show. So I was so excited about this. I went and bought a bunch of gift cards for our sales department and all the people that help us throughout the year. Then I also got my secret Santa a bunch of gift cards, too. putting together their gift, and I did it all at Target. I'm sorry, at Kroger. And I did it because they do the four times the fuel points. Yeah. Okay? So I get very excited over that. The best deal. Because my goal is, my ultimate goal is, I want them to pay me for filling up my gas tank. I want the fuel points to be so much that I save that much money. I go to use my fuel points yesterday, and some bastard stole my points. And I want to talk about this right now because I have no idea who it is. And I want to just put it out there that if you're the person that went and you punched in my number to steal my fuel points, how dare you? I couldn't believe it. I thought that there was an error on their part. And then I did some investigating because I don't know if you know this. I am the in-store voice of Kroger. You hear me? Yes. Hi, it's Mojo from Mojo in the Morning. Get your Christmas holiday shopping done all in one place.

01:02:02 - 01:02:10 | Speaker 4:

My dad wasn't aware that you did that, and he went to Kroger the other day, and he called me, and he goes, Shannon, something very weird's going on. I'm hearing Mojo's voice up above like he's God. I'll say that pretty much.

01:02:10 - 01:02:17 | Speaker 2:

So I'll be getting something out of the freezer, and all of a sudden I hear, are you in the frozen food aisle? I'm like, ah, what, do you follow me? And then I, oh, yeah, he's not here.

01:02:17 - 01:02:41 | Speaker 1:

You can pay me for shout-outs, too, by the way, if you'd like me to. But let me go back to this fuel points thing. This drives me crazy, and I want to know who are these people that are stealing other people's fuel points or stealing their points. I'm getting – Rachel Hurst is going to help me with this. We're going to do some investigating. We're going to find out which Kroger gas station somebody used my fuel points at.

01:02:41 - 01:02:45 | Speaker 2:

Oh, you went to one of our friends, one of the executives at Kroger, to solve the mystery.

01:02:45 - 01:02:46 | Speaker 4:

But is that going to help you?

01:02:47 - 01:03:10 | Speaker 1:

Yes, because then I'll figure out where the person lives. because then if I know that they live, I don't know, if they live in your guys' towns, I'll say, oh, Spike lives there. Shannon lives there. Meg, if it's in Toledo, your ass is. You found the culprit. Your ass is brass. Can I be honest? As soon as you brought this up, I was like, genius idea. I can't wait to do this to him. Yeah, because all you do is use the phone number. It's easy.

01:03:10 - 01:03:18 | Speaker 2:

I was just saying you run the risk now bringing up this idea. You're actually telling everyone that knows you, Mojo, that they can just, you have an account, and they know your cell phone number.

01:03:18 - 01:03:58 | Speaker 1:

I'm changing it. I'm putting it on a different number. I'm going to get a burner phone just for my fuel points. But the funny, here's the funny thing is I haven't used my fuel points in so long. And I, and Chelsea and I have each have our own phone numbers attached to it. And I've been doing a lot more of the shopping. So I said to Chelsea, I go, you must've used my number. And she goes, no, why would I do that? I've got, you know, my own number. And then I said to her, I go, do you think the boys are doing this? And Chelsea goes, do you really think that our boys are smart enough to know how to do this they just put it on our credit card and we're the ones that have to pay for the thing so uh what's going on mojo in the morning who's this this is nina hi nina you didn't steal my fuel

01:03:58 - 01:04:05 | Speaker 3:

points did you no i didn't but you can check in your app how to uh figure out where and when your

01:04:05 - 01:04:16 | Speaker 1:

points were used oh that's a good point i could yeah i'll go into the kroger app and i'll figure out where it is what would you do if you found out that somebody that you knew and loved was a thief

01:04:16 - 01:04:29 | Speaker 3:

like this uh i don't know i probably i don't know what i would do i wouldn't be very happy however um you all someone has my number and doesn't use my points but uses it for the discount so i get

01:04:29 - 01:04:36 | Speaker 1:

their point oh my god win win that's like reverse that's like the uh the points fairy that's out

01:04:36 - 01:04:59 | Speaker 3:

there yeah it's great i don't care who you are but keep doing it do they buy a lot of stuff are they big shoppers no it's like 20 30 dollars here and there so that's not bad it's a hey something what's up casey good morning guys good morning so my brother he just turned 16 and he just got his own truck and he's been driving around to the krogers near our house and he puts in every

01:05:00 - 01:05:13 | Speaker 8:

family members' phone number. He'll put in my grandparents, my aunt. And then they're calling us because they have the Kroger app and they can know what gas station is using their points. They're calling us like, hey, who the hell is using our points?

01:05:14 - 01:05:15 | Speaker 3:

Oh, my God. That's great.

01:05:15 - 01:05:17 | Speaker 8:

It's my little brother. Yeah, smart.

01:05:17 - 01:05:19 | Speaker 3:

I can't believe he would steal from his own grandparents.

01:05:20 - 01:05:23 | Speaker 8:

I know. Horrible, right? Thank you, guys. That little mother effer.

01:05:23 - 01:05:29 | Speaker 2:

They probably don't see it as stealing. They say, well, it's not like I'm taking it from you. It's just a discount. What's up, Morgan?

01:05:30 - 01:05:45 | Speaker 7:

Hi, so I had the same thing happen to me with the fuel points, but if anyone had your number before you or after you, they can still set up another Kroger account under the same number, and that's how people steal points, like, not on purpose.

01:05:46 - 01:05:56 | Speaker 3:

Oh, so you're thinking that somebody did it accidentally. I've had my number for almost 25 years. Yeah, okay, so you had a recent change of a number. See, mine's my number for a long time.

01:05:56 - 01:06:03 | Speaker 7:

We used, like, our old home phone. Like, so when I was a kid, when, like, at our old landline, we used that number.

01:06:03 - 01:06:04 | Speaker 4:

Yep.

01:06:04 - 01:06:10 | Speaker 7:

And then that's what happened. Also, I love you so much. My heart is beating so fast. I love you, too.

01:06:11 - 01:06:23 | Speaker 3:

Thank you. I appreciate you, Morgan. What's your phone number? I'm going to use your phone number. See how much you love us after that. She goes there and realizes she doesn't have any more. Court, whose number, whose fuel points are you stealing?

01:06:24 - 01:06:32 | Speaker 7:

My parents. That's what we're supposed to do as kids, though. Well, I'm 45. No, no, no, no, no. It's okay.

01:06:33 - 01:06:39 | Speaker 3:

You know what? You were the same little kid that used to go into your mom's purse and steal things out of there, didn't you?

01:06:39 - 01:07:00 | Speaker 7:

I mean, we're still family, right? Right. Now, have they busted you? Are they aware that you do this? No. I don't know. No, never. And I use them often. So they shop more than I do at Kroger, and I just use their points. I call this a kid tax, and they just got to pay up. I agree.

01:07:01 - 01:07:09 | Speaker 8:

I can suffer them. It's, you know, give and take relationship. And one day we have to take care of them and wipe their little booties, so this is our payment now.

01:07:09 - 01:07:21 | Speaker 3:

This sounds like a take-take relationship. This doesn't sound like a give and take. Karen, you're the only person that's allowed to do what you're doing because of who you're stealing them from. Whose points are you stealing? Karen.

01:07:23 - 01:07:30 | Speaker 6:

Sorry. Oh, hi. So my ex-boyfriend from high school, I still use his family's steal points every time I'm in Ohio.

01:07:31 - 01:07:35 | Speaker 3:

I love it. Steal his points, that ex-SOB.

01:07:35 - 01:07:39 | Speaker 1:

Wes does that to his ex-wife. He takes all her points. He punches in her phone number.

01:07:39 - 01:07:42 | Speaker 3:

Your boyfriend steals from his ex-wife?

01:07:42 - 01:07:45 | Speaker 1:

Yeah, and she gets so mad, and he thinks it's so funny.

01:07:45 - 01:07:46 | Speaker 3:

Oh, my gosh.

01:07:46 - 01:07:49 | Speaker 1:

I think that that's a popular way of getting a little discount on your cast.

01:07:49 - 01:08:22 | Speaker 3:

I would, if I were divorced, I would call my divorce attorney and I would have things, have things completely changed in our decree. 01:26:33 - 01:26:39 | Speaker 3:

I don't think Daddy Yankee performed yet. Shh. Did somebody whisper it your way?

01:26:41 - 01:26:44 | Speaker 6:

I knew it wasn't bad, Bonnie. I was trying to think of a couple other good night artists.

01:28:23 - 01:28:24 | Speaker 7:

Hard pass.

01:28:24 - 01:28:27 | Speaker 3:

Would that not be? You guys would destroy that guy, wouldn't you?

01:28:28 - 01:28:29 | Speaker 7:

No. All I have to do is spit on him.

01:28:29 - 01:28:35 | Speaker 3:

Actually, you know what would happen? Shannon and Megan would be with each other the whole time, and Spike would be lonely.

01:28:35 - 01:28:38 | Speaker 5:

Yeah, I'd be Instagramming live. Lonely in the corner.

01:28:38 - 01:28:40 | Speaker 3:

You'd be like, hey, camera guy, take a picture.

01:28:40 - 01:28:42 | Speaker 1:

01:29:15 - 01:29:15 | Unknown:

01:29:19 - 01:29:19 | Speaker 6:

Crap.

01:29:20 - 01:29:21 | Speaker 7:

01:29:21 - 01:29:23 | Speaker 1:

That was good. That was good.

01:32:55 - 01:35:37 | Speaker 1:

The latest for you in the Tory Lanez shooting trial that kicked off this week. Yesterday, Megan Thee Stallions, former assistant and former best friend, said that she did not shoot Meg. It wasn't her. Kelsey Harris is her name. She returned to that downtown L.A. courtroom to wrap up her testimony saying she hasn't seen Megan since the alleged incident. They haven't really talked. They used to be best, best friends, by the way, like closest sisters at one point in their friendship. But she said now she feels betrayed by Megan. Now, aside from Kelsey, prosecutors also questioned several other witnesses, including a surgeon who operated on Megan Thee Stallion's foot after the shooting. The surgeon testified, saying doctors removed bullet fragments from both of her feet. X-rays of her feet were shown in court. And a criminalist with the LAPD who analyzed some of the evidence in the case also took the stand, confirming that gunshot residue was found on both Tori Lanes and Kelsey Harris. Now, again, Tory Lanez could get more than 22 years in prison if he's convicted on all accounts. Isaiah Lee, you probably don't know his name, but he's the dude who jumped on stage at the Hollywood Bowl back in May and tackled Dave Chappelle during his stand-up set. Do you remember when that happened? I can't remember if he broke his arm or not. I now have video of it happening. Ladies and gentlemen, make some noise for hip-hop history. That's him being tackled. You can hear it in the microphone. I am going to kill that. Dude's 24 years old, pleaded no contest to misdemeanor charges of battery and trespassing while he's been sentenced to some jail time over what happened. He will serve 270 days in county jail, and he can never go to a show at the Hollywood Bowl ever again. Reality stars Todd and Julie... Chrisley have been ordered to report to their respective prisons in January. The Chrisley knows best couple who were convicted of some pretty hefty fraud and tax crimes back in June will be heading to sunny Florida to spend some time behind bars. Actually, a lot of time. Todd, who was sentenced to 12 years in federal custody, will turn himself into the federal prison camp Pensacola on January 17th. On the other hand, Julie will spend her seven-year sentence about two hours away from her husband at the federal correctional institution Mariana. It is considered a medium-security federal correctional institution. It's so nice that they get to spend the holidays at home. Doesn't his prison also have a golf course for the inmates?

01:35:38 - 01:35:39 | Speaker 3:

I don't know. No.

01:35:39 - 01:35:44 | Speaker 1:

Oh, I think you should look into it. A golf course? I think you should look into it.

01:35:44 - 01:35:46 | Speaker 3:

They have a golf course in prisons?

01:35:46 - 01:35:47 | Speaker 1:

I think you should look into it.

01:35:47 - 01:35:57 | Speaker 3:

That's amazing. I want to go to prison. I was going to say. I want to go to Florida. That's all I want to spend. I'm going to actually go and do something kind of crime so I can spend my time in Florida in a golf course.

01:35:57 - 01:36:11 | Speaker 1:

In a sneak peek of the 45th annual Kennedy Center Honors, airing December 28th on CBS, Matt Damon paying tribute to his buddy and honoree, George Clooney, in a speech that references a great prank that he pulled.

01:36:12 - 01:36:58 | Speaker 2:

It has been said that my friend George Clooney is the last of the true movie stars. So I got to thinking about what exactly that meant. Of course, a number of past Kennedy Center honorees have certainly been movie stars in that classic sense, actors with class and sophistication, Cary Grant, Henry Fonda, Paul Newman, Gregory Peck. And then I think of George, a man who once defecated in Richard Kind's kitty litter box as a joke. A man who once stole Bill Clinton's stationery and wrote fake notes to actors saying how much the president loved their movies. I love that. That's funny.

01:36:58 - 01:37:09 | Speaker 1:

And lastly, I do have an update for you on something we talked about earlier in the week. It's been a big local story to the Detroit area. The firing of WDIV Local 4's Jason Carr.

01:37:09 - 01:37:10 | Speaker 3:

Oh, do we got details?

01:37:10 - 01:37:33 | Speaker 1:

We do have details. Actually, I have some audio for you. So the alleged incident that caused his termination happened during his online live show. I do not know this for a fact. He doesn't seem very sober to me. Okay. But he just kind of went to town trashing some of his now former co-workers.

01:37:36 - 01:38:29 | Speaker 4:

I will say this. I'm going to get a little bit real here for a second. And I pull no punches, and I offer no apologies. There's somebody that used to work here and no longer does. No secret at all that this person and I, oil and water, did not care for one another in the slightest. In fact, pretty much one of the worst human beings I feel like I've ever met in my life. Wow. I would see you talking to this person and be like, I wanted to like, rescue you or somehow take you aside and go, he's not worth your breath. He's not worth your time. Right. But that's not my... I mean, that's between you and the universe. I can't control you.

01:38:29 - 01:38:31 | Speaker 1:

Looks like he's talking to a producer or something, right?

01:38:32 - 01:38:38 | Speaker 3:

Why is the producer kind of egging him on, talking to him about this on the show? This is live on the show? Yes, on

01:38:38 - 01:38:42 | Speaker 1:

the online show that he did.

01:38:44 - 01:38:52 | Speaker 4:

I have never liked anybody less in my entire human life on this planet in 52 years than our recently departed co-worker.

01:38:52 - 01:38:54 | Speaker 3:

He's talking about the news anchor guy,

01:38:54 - 01:38:57 | Speaker 1:

Everett. Yeah, I think so. I think so. I don't know.

01:38:57 - 01:39:01 | Speaker 4:

And he knows he's on camera. This is not a hidden camera. I could say some stuff.

01:39:01 - 01:39:02 | Unknown:

Anyway.

01:39:03 - 01:39:06 | Speaker 3:

It's funny. Well, not funny, but it's

01:39:06 - 01:39:12 | Speaker 2:

interesting. He knows he's on a show and he's spilling all this. It's weird that the producer is talking to him about it

01:39:12 - 01:39:57 | Speaker 3:

Or whoever that person is It's interesting because I've known Ed Rod for a while And he's now in Chicago He works at the NBC affiliate in Chicago And I sent him a text yesterday When the word came out that it was him that he was talking about And Ed Rod did obviously not want to talk about it But I wouldn't call Ed Rod The worst human being ever He did a lot for some people here in town A lot of charity work while he was in town and maybe he was upset that Evrod was the main anchor and he was the guy that was on the online show. I don't know. I don't know. That's too bad. Well, listen, Jason, still offering it up to you. You want to fill in for us and board up during the break, we've got an opportunity for you. You can actually run our best of show. We'll have Jason Carr hosting our best of show during the break.

Thank you so much. Thank you. Congrats.

01:44:14 - 01:44:30 | Speaker 2:

All right, Mojo in the morning show. We got the pleasure of having a special person listening to the show right now. We're going to shout out Spike's sister, Patty, for listening to the show this morning. She's road tripping right now listening to the show. Is that right?

01:44:30 - 01:44:44 | Speaker 3:

She is driving to pick up her son at Penn State through a blizzard to get them home. A lot of parents picking up all their freshmen for the first break and get to see if they fail their first semester or not in college.

01:44:44 - 01:45:06 | Speaker 2:

Now, for years, we've talked about Patty on the show, and we have heard the great stories of you two guys growing up. I always felt like you two guys were kind of like me and my brother, Bill, because you guys were probably closest in age, right? Where you guys kind of bicker back and forth a little bit? We shared a room for the better part of the first 10 years of my life, I think. So we shared a bedroom.

01:45:06 - 01:45:08 | Speaker 3:

Would you say that was the best 10 years of your life?

01:45:09 - 01:45:43 | Speaker 2:

It's right up there for sure. Although, I'm not sure. I don't think they want me to visit. So I'm supposed to visit my parents and my sister for Christmas. Yeah. And remember when I went to Philly to visit my parents for Fourth of July vacation, And my sister's whole house had COVID So I never got to see them Well, I'm going to Philly And my sister's told me Her whole house has COVID again So I'm starting to think Are they really sick Or did they just not want me to come visit Wait a second, hold on

01:45:43 - 01:45:49 | Speaker 3:

Do you think your sister would do that to you? Do you think she would

01:45:49 - 01:45:58 | Speaker 2:

Well, it's happening So I gotta find out Can we call her? Please, please, please, please No. Pretty please? No. Come on. I'll let you call her after the holidays.

01:45:59 - 01:46:00 | Speaker 3:

Why can't we not call her?

01:46:00 - 01:46:04 | Speaker 2:

No, I do not want to fuel this fire of- We can't catch COVID through the phone. Mm-mm.

01:46:05 - 01:46:08 | Speaker 3:

Now, she obviously does not have COVID because she's going to pick up your nephew, right?

01:46:09 - 01:46:17 | Speaker 2:

Well, she says Friday was her day zero, so technically today is five days. Oh, okay. Yeah, that's good. She's doing creative sister math.

01:46:17 - 01:46:20 | Speaker 3:

Well, no, that's right. That's right. That's actually more. That's more than-

01:46:20 - 01:46:21 | Speaker 1:

That's how they do it for school and stuff.

01:46:21 - 01:46:27 | Speaker 2:

But she didn't start to feel sick until Saturday. and she took the test and tested it on Sunday.

01:46:27 - 01:46:34 | Speaker 3:

Yeah, but that would still be. That would still be. So Sunday, Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, today being Friday, V5. I don't know. I'd give her that.

01:46:35 - 01:46:37 | Speaker 2:

Yeah, I probably wouldn't get in a car either for two more days.

01:46:37 - 01:46:40 | Speaker 3:

But you are actually.

01:46:40 - 01:47:19 | Speaker 2:

Listen, one of the reasons you'll hear me get stressed is because I walk on eggshells every time I go home for the holidays because sometimes my sister's a very unique personality. I think I've told you stories before about how when we go out to dinner, she would look at the check because if we're going to split the bill and she didn't eat the appetizer, so if we're going to split it, she shouldn't have to include the Aussie loaded cheese fries, so it takes $6 off. And I'm just like, everything gets very particular. I'm a very easygoing, no-stress kind of person. I just want to relax on the holidays. So that is why I'm not allowing you to call her. You want to talk after the holidays? I won't have to see her for a few months.

01:47:19 - 01:47:23 | Speaker 3:

844-MOJO-LIVE, 844-665-6548.

01:47:23 - 01:47:25 | Speaker 2:

She's listening on the app, so she probably won't hear this for two minutes.

01:47:25 - 01:47:34 | Speaker 3:

Reese, I ask this question because you kind of are like Spike's new Patty. You're like his new sibling that he gets into disagreements with.

01:47:34 - 01:47:37 | Speaker 2:

I never get in disagreements with Reese. I love Reese.

01:47:37 - 01:47:47 | Speaker 3:

Reese. You love to stroke. Do you think, let me ask you a question, do you think Patty is the problem or maybe Spike is the difficult one? What are your thoughts?

01:47:47 - 01:47:53 | Speaker 1:

I feel like they both probably have their things that they bring to the table that aren't the best. Yeah. You know?

01:47:53 - 01:47:59 | Speaker 2:

Name something I've done to Reese. I say nothing but nice things. I help him around here. I don't know. I try and go out of my way.

01:47:59 - 01:48:02 | Speaker 3:

Reese feels like you always look over his shoulder and do stuff like that.

01:48:02 - 01:48:04 | Speaker 2:

Reese is like, don't bring me into this.

01:48:05 - 01:48:12 | Speaker 3:

Reese, what if Spike has you as his secret Santa? What if Spike has you as the secret Santa? Or what if you have Spike?

01:48:12 - 01:48:18 | Speaker 2:

I'm sorry, Reese. He's doing this to you. He's not happy. I won't do conflict with my sister on the air right before Christmas.

01:48:18 - 01:48:24 | Speaker 1:

I feel like Spike could get some good gifts. Last time, last birthday, he got me some beer. So if he got me for Secret Santa, I wouldn't be too mad.

01:48:25 - 01:48:31 | Speaker 2:

This is not Christmas if everybody isn't fighting. I don't like this. Yes. What's going on? I'll fight. All right.

01:48:32 - 01:48:38 | Speaker 3:

Hold on a second. Hold on. Textures are texting in right now that they're all searching for Patty. Patty, come on.

01:48:38 - 01:48:59 | Speaker 2:

The whole thing about my sister, it only became a big thing because the one day I asked Mojo not to bring it up on the air, And he did. And that's how she found out every year that I was sharing the Christmas newsletter with everybody. It wasn't me. It was, no. There was a morning where I said, don't talk about it today. And you went on the air and you said it. And my nephew heard it.

01:48:59 - 01:49:24 | Speaker 3:

It was the listeners that told your sister. Because, you know, what the problem is, it used to be back in the day when we used to read your sister's Christmas letter. Nobody knew about it because social media wasn't as popular as it is right now. And the iHeartRadio app wasn't even invented yet. So now we are, you know, worldwide, international, you know? So what ends up happening is anything you bring up on the air gets brought up on the air, and it gets out there.

01:49:24 - 01:49:31 | Speaker 2:

Don't say anything you brought up on the air, because I told you that morning not to bring it up on the air. And you outed it. Don't try and remove yourself from the formula.

01:49:31 - 01:49:35 | Speaker 3:

Notice I get along with all of my siblings right now. Notice all of them love me. Right now.

01:49:37 - 01:49:41 | Speaker 2:

I get along with all my siblings. That's why I'm trying to keep it that way.

01:49:41 - 01:49:59 | Speaker 3:

All right, so here's my question. Here's the question. I want to know who is the sibling that you are least excited to see this holiday season or relative that you're least excited to see this holiday season that you know you'll end up getting into a fight with. You have to call us up. 844-MOJO-LIVE.

01:50:00 - 01:50:02 | Speaker 2:

665-6548. Who's your patty?

01:50:02 - 01:50:12 | Speaker 1:

My brother. Because right now he has the manfluenza. And if I have to put up with his whiny little bratty ass one more day, I will probably murder him.

01:50:12 - 01:50:16 | Speaker 2:

I think that you and your brother never fight with each other. This is like the love that you guys have with each other.

01:50:16 - 01:50:27 | Speaker 1:

That's so funny because I couldn't tell you how many times. I've been working with you guys, what? How old is Smith? Almost six. Five and a half. Okay, so five and a half years. There was six months where my brother and I didn't even speak to each other.

01:50:27 - 01:50:28 | Speaker 2:

Oh my gosh. Wow.

01:50:28 - 01:50:28 | Speaker 1:

Yeah.

01:50:30 - 01:50:34 | Speaker 2:

It was bad for a minute there. It was the nicest six months he's had in a long time.

01:50:34 - 01:50:35 | Speaker 1:

It was very quiet, that's for sure.

01:50:35 - 01:50:36 | Speaker 2:

What's up, Blair?

01:50:37 - 01:50:43 | Speaker 1:

So, in our family, we have to remind each other to deck the halls and not deck each other for the holidays.

01:50:43 - 01:50:44 | Speaker 3:

And not deck each other.

01:50:46 - 01:50:49 | Speaker 1:

I need that on, like, a wreath for the front door.

01:50:49 - 01:51:04 | Speaker 2:

I will never forget when I was probably, I think it was 18 or so, my brother Bill throwing the turkey knife across the room and literally having to duck from the butcher-sized knife that was being thrown across the room.

01:51:04 - 01:51:05 | Speaker 3:

That's amazing.

01:51:05 - 01:51:13 | Speaker 2:

Isn't that what families are for? And by the end of the night, we went to midnight mass together. That was the craziest part of the whole thing. And we all sat in a pew. Held hands.

01:51:13 - 01:51:14 | Speaker 1:

And held a candle.

01:51:15 - 01:51:21 | Speaker 2:

They did the whole Our Father. You know how you do it at some churches, and then right when you get to the end of it, they make you raise your hand.

01:51:22 - 01:51:29 | Speaker 1:

Peace be with you. And also with you. It's not like that anymore. It's different. And with your spirit. And with your spirit. I'm such an old Catholic now.

01:51:29 - 01:51:35 | Speaker 3:

If I went back, I'd be like, what's going on? I still say, and also with you. That's the OG.

01:51:35 - 01:51:41 | Speaker 2:

So, Will, do you think that you'll see your sister? Because you guys got, you're not going like now to go there.

01:51:41 - 01:51:43 | Speaker 3:

I'm spending all Christmas Day at her house.

01:51:44 - 01:51:48 | Speaker 2:

Okay, so by that time, every COVID will be out of that house. You don't think that, right?

01:51:48 - 01:51:49 | Speaker 3:

No, by then it'll be fine. Yeah, yeah.

01:51:49 - 01:51:54 | Speaker 2:

Okay, so she's definitely not trying to see you, or she's not using that as an excuse to not see you.

01:51:54 - 01:52:03 | Speaker 3:

Will you mysteriously come down with COVID? If it gets me a week off of this show, I might. I might when I get back.

01:52:04 - 01:52:14 | Speaker 2:

Oh, yes. It's Mojo in the Morning. Happy holidays. We're going to call out the office Grinch right now with Megan.

01:52:15 - 01:52:17 | Speaker 1:

We're really just going to throw my brother under the bus.

01:52:18 - 01:52:21 | Speaker 2:

So your brother is the office Grinch in his office?

01:52:21 - 01:53:19 | Speaker 1:

Oh, he's the biggest butthole in the whole world. and uh i i was facetiming him the other day at work unless his boss is listening and then this is a lie and don't believe anything i say but he was walking around and i said oh my god your office is so cute and he said yeah everybody here decorates like their offices their desks their cubicles whatever everybody really gets into the spirit around here and i was like oh that's so exciting show me your desk like let me see your little work area and he was the only person on his entire floor who had not decorated his space okay now that's bad enough as it is i think we can all agree that is offensive but then on top of that i said wow you're such a grinch and he said ew i hate those movies you guys i need a new brother because this is unacceptable behavior. Although I will tell you

01:53:19 - 01:53:21 | Speaker 2:

the people that overly decorate in the

01:53:21 - 01:53:23 | Speaker 1:

office. Oh, I love it. You do?

01:53:23 - 01:53:24 | Speaker 3:

Yes, we need that.

01:53:25 - 01:53:29 | Speaker 2:

The people that decorate their cubicles and things like that. Well, you are

01:53:29 - 01:53:36 | Speaker 3:

our Grinch. I mean, you are the guy. You hate decorating your own Christmas tree with your family, so let's not act like it's the people at the office.

01:53:37 - 01:53:42 | Speaker 2:

I'm not allowed to decorate the Christmas tree. The problem is that you have to take it all down. It's another hassle of things to do.

01:53:42 - 01:53:44 | Speaker 3:

Do you decorate anything here, Shannon?

01:53:44 - 01:53:46 | Speaker 1:

There's nothing for me to decorate. What am I going to decorate?

01:53:47 - 01:53:50 | Speaker 2:

Well, you can decorate right there. You got your own little area there.

01:53:50 - 01:53:51 | Speaker 1:

See, I've got a bow on it.

01:53:51 - 01:53:52 | Speaker 2:

You got to, yeah.

01:53:53 - 01:53:56 | Speaker 1:

Perfect. That noise is for putting a bow on it right now.

01:53:56 - 01:53:57 | Speaker 3:

I mean, I would if I could.

01:53:57 - 01:53:57 | Speaker 2:

Yeah.

01:53:57 - 01:53:58 | Speaker 3:

I really, really would.

01:53:58 - 01:54:04 | Speaker 2:

When we get our new studios, we're not going to be able to because we're sharing our studios with the other radio stations. Yeah. So we won't be able to do that.

01:54:04 - 01:54:08 | Speaker 3:

Megan, you didn't decorate your back wheel, your spare tire on the back of your Jeep this year.

01:54:08 - 01:54:10 | Speaker 2:

And you're calling your brother out for being a Grinch.

01:54:10 - 01:54:13 | Speaker 1:

Yeah. I kind of hate the holidays this year.

01:54:14 - 01:54:15 | Speaker 2:

It doesn't feel like holidays, does it?

01:54:15 - 01:54:27 | Speaker 1:

It really doesn't. I don't get what it is. Maybe it's the lack of snow. It's the lack of coldness. And before all of you come at me, y'all, it's, what's the date today? It's December? 16th. 16th? And it's what? What's the temperature stand?

01:54:28 - 01:54:29 | Speaker 3:

37 degrees.

01:54:29 - 01:54:30 | Speaker 1:

37 degrees. Beautiful.

01:54:30 - 01:54:35 | Speaker 2:

This is not December 16th. Yesterday was 47 degrees.

01:54:35 - 01:54:59 | Speaker 1:

It's not winter. I feel like, okay, we're going to hard left turn this topic. Nobody in my neighborhood has decorated the outside of their house. The most anybody has done has been a Christmas tree just lit in their front living room in the window. Nobody decorated. I feel like it doesn't feel like Christmas outside. I have not gotten into the holiday spirit. I feel like every kind of holiday thing this year just didn't really get done.

01:55:00 - 01:55:03 | Speaker 6:

And I am so not in the mood for the holidays this year.

01:55:04 - 01:55:12 | Speaker 4:

Okay, then here's what we're going to do. We're going to get people into the mood for the holidays. What is your favorite Christmas carol? What is your favorite Christmas carol that you love so much?

01:55:12 - 01:55:12 | Speaker 5:

Me?

01:55:13 - 01:55:28 | Speaker 4:

Yeah. Like the song that, not Christmas song like Mariah Carey, All I Want for Christmas, stuff like that. I'm talking about classic Christmas song like White Christmas, Chestnuts Roasting on an Open Fire, Jingle Bells, something like that. I'm going to pull it out and you're going to sing for us and get us ready for Christmas.

01:55:29 - 01:55:33 | Speaker 6:

Well, let me pull up the lyrics then. Probably like Rockin' Around the Christmas Tree.

01:55:33 - 01:55:40 | Speaker 4:

Rockin' Around the Christmas Tree. Rockin' Around the Christmas Tree. Okay. Brenda Lee? We just heard it a second ago. Perfect. Rockin' Around the Christmas Tree. Brenda Lee.

01:55:40 - 01:55:40 | Speaker 6:

Mm-hmm.

01:55:41 - 01:55:44 | Speaker 4:

And I'm going to get the instrumental version, the karaoke version.

01:55:44 - 01:55:46 | Speaker 6:

Oh, perfect. Love this.

01:55:46 - 01:55:47 | Speaker 4:

All right. Hold on. Hold on a second.

01:55:47 - 01:55:48 | Speaker 6:

I got to get up then.

01:55:50 - 01:55:52 | Speaker 4:

Karaoke. Karaoke.

01:55:52 - 01:55:57 | Speaker 6:

Which one are you doing, Rockin' Around the Christmas Tree? I love that somebody texted in, I'm blaming Mars in retrograde. I'll take it.

01:55:57 - 01:56:04 | Speaker 4:

All right, so to get us into the Christmas spirit, I hope your brother's listening, because maybe if your brother is listening...

01:56:04 - 01:56:05 | Speaker 6:

He doesn't listen to the show.

01:56:05 - 01:56:07 | Speaker 4:

Maybe. He doesn't like the show? No.

01:56:07 - 01:56:11 | Speaker 6:

He doesn't think I'm funny at all. That's probably the most disrespectful thing about him.

01:56:11 - 01:56:14 | Speaker 4:

But there's other people that are funny on the show that he doesn't have to listen to.

01:56:14 - 01:56:19 | Speaker 6:

Yeah, but he doesn't think I'm cool. He doesn't think I'm funny. He doesn't. Do your siblings find you guys cool?

01:56:20 - 01:56:22 | Speaker 4:

No. My siblings love me.

01:56:22 - 01:56:26 | Speaker 6:

Like, actually, they are. Yes. Oh, my God. It must be so great to be Mojo right now.

01:56:26 - 01:56:34 | Speaker 2:

You call Ampat up, Ampat. will tell you how much she loves me. My family's famous saying, especially my sisters, is if I tell a story, they're like, okay, now tell the non-radio version.

01:56:35 - 01:56:51 | Speaker 4:

Tell the real story. Well, we all do that. We all over-exaggerate. All right, ready? Here we go. Ladies and gentlemen, we're going to get finally into the Christmas spirit. Reese, are you eating breakfast or videotaping? Videotape this. I don't know when it starts. Okay, Megan. Ready? Here you go. You got to set. Does it have the

01:56:51 - 01:56:55 | Speaker 6:

like, is it a YouTube video where it's going to tell you it starts? I'm going to need you to point at me.

01:56:55 - 01:56:59 | Speaker 4:

No, I think it's got like a seven-second intro. Here you go. Ready?

01:57:04 - 01:57:49 | Speaker 5:

Rockin' around the Christmas tree at the Christmas party hop. Mistletoe hung where you can see every couple tries to stop. Sultry. Rockin' around the Christmas tree. Let the Christmas spirit ring. Later we'll have some pumpkin pie And we'll do some caroling You will get a sentimental feeling When you hear Voice is singing Let's be jolly Deck the halls with balls of holly Walking around the Christmas tree Have a happy holiday

01:57:49 - 01:57:51 | Speaker 4:

Oh my god, it's like Marilyn Monroe-ish coming up

01:57:51 - 01:57:57 | Speaker 5:

Everyone dancing merrily in the new old-fashioned way. Yeah.

01:57:59 - 01:58:00 | Speaker 4:

That's fantastic. Wow.

01:58:01 - 01:58:04 | Speaker 5:

You can't say, you cannot say that I don't commit. No, you're good.

01:58:04 - 01:58:24 | Speaker 4:

Now I feel more Christmassy. By the way, for some reason, it's gotten colder in the studio here now. Ready? Here you go. Big finish. Oh. Yeah. No, no. Hold on. No, it's coming. This is where the band's playing. It's the band getting there. Okay, you ready? And finale with Megan.

01:58:24 - 01:58:54 | Speaker 5:

You will get a sentimental feeling when you hear voices singing, let's be jolly deck. The halls with balls of holly rocking around the Christmas tree. Have a happy holiday. Unbelievable. Everyone dancing merrily In the new old-fashioned world

01:58:54 - 01:59:04 | Speaker 4:

Wow, wow, give it up. That's amazing, Maggie. How amazing was that?

01:59:04 - 01:59:05 | Speaker 1:

Now it feels like Christmas.

01:59:05 - 01:59:11 | Speaker 4:

Jen, Jen, was that unbelievable or what? Guys, I've never heard that song sound so depressing.

01:59:11 - 01:59:25 | Speaker 3:

02:00:00 - 02:00:19 | Speaker 2:

Getting ready for our end-of-the-year Christmas and the best of the year 2022 you will be able to hear over the course of the next couple of weeks. So be listening for that.

02:00:19 - 02:00:31 | Speaker 4:

Can I ask for some suggestions? I need some help. I need a lot of help. That was a funnier joke than you guys gave me credit for. Oh, we were supposed to laugh? That's okay. Thank you. Thank you, Megan, for being the only one.

02:00:31 - 02:00:33 | Speaker 3:

We were shaking our heads in agreement.

02:00:33 - 02:00:56 | Speaker 4:

I need some suggestions, and I feel like you're just the right people. I'm good. That's good. That's great. Thanks. I need to level up on something. So I'm going to Canada to see Wes's family for the second time.

02:00:56 - 02:00:58 | Speaker 2:

Ooh, is that when it's going to happen?

02:00:58 - 02:00:59 | Speaker 4:

No, stop.

02:01:00 - 02:01:08 | Speaker 2:

We talked on the More Mojo podcast of the fact that we all believe that Shannon's going to be wearing a ring after the new year.

02:01:08 - 02:01:28 | Speaker 4:

I think you're going to be sorely disappointed, okay? But his family does a white elephant gift exchange, okay? Instead of buying gifts for everybody, and it's so fun. But last year, I was the newbie, okay? I had never met any of these people before in my life. I only knew Wes. And what does the newbie pick as her white elephant gift? a candy cane G-string.

02:01:29 - 02:01:30 | Speaker 3:

Oh, hell yeah.

02:01:30 - 02:01:33 | Speaker 4:

That was the gift that I walked away with.

02:01:33 - 02:01:33 | Speaker 2:

Nice.

02:01:33 - 02:01:40 | Speaker 4:

So I want to hand it right back to his family this year. What can I bring for my gift? Does anybody have anything in this room

02:01:40 - 02:01:42 | Speaker 2:

that I can bring?

02:01:42 - 02:01:46 | Speaker 4:

No, hand it back in the sense of like, I can play, I can play along.

02:01:46 - 02:01:49 | Speaker 3:

But you've only met them a few times, so where's the line?

02:01:49 - 02:01:51 | Speaker 4:

I don't think there's a line with his family.

02:01:51 - 02:01:53 | Speaker 3:

I guess not if they put in their underwear.

02:01:53 - 02:01:55 | Speaker 2:

You should actually get a candy cane. How about this?

02:01:56 - 02:01:57 | Speaker 4:

G-string, not underwear.

02:01:57 - 02:02:01 | Speaker 2:

You should take a picture of yourself in that. And frame it. And frame it.

02:02:03 - 02:02:05 | Speaker 4:

Oh, my God.

02:02:05 - 02:02:06 | Speaker 2:

That's really good. Or better. Maybe not you.

02:02:07 - 02:02:08 | Speaker 4:

Maybe not me. Wes. Wes. Yeah, Wes.

02:02:08 - 02:02:09 | Speaker 2:

Yeah, Wes.

02:02:09 - 02:02:13 | Speaker 4:

I don't think I could do myself, but Wes would be down.

02:02:13 - 02:02:27 | Speaker 2:

Do you remember the classic Seinfeld where, what was it, Cosmo Kramer did the whole, like, or no, it was George Costanza. George, yeah. Remember, did that whole layout thing. You should do a picture like that. One of those type of pictures. What's that app that everybody's doing right now with their pictures?

02:02:28 - 02:02:30 | Speaker 4:

Oh, that AI?

02:02:31 - 02:02:40 | Speaker 2:

You should get that kind of a picture taken of you. Like, have the G-string, or Wes, have the G-string, but then put it through that and then have it framed and stuff.

02:02:41 - 02:02:43 | Speaker 4:

That is such a good idea. All right, well, done.

02:02:44 - 02:02:49 | Speaker 2:

That was easy. So wait, so the family does this. It's kind of like a little jokey thing, huh?

02:02:50 - 02:03:21 | Speaker 4:

Which could be uncomfortable when you're like the new person. It's interesting because the first gift that I pulled and it got stolen from me was a very, very lovely gift. Or no, wait, actually, yeah, the first gift that I pulled was a nice gift. It was like a journal and a candle and like some cozy socks. Like I can't remember what else was in it. It was like a nice thing. So some members of his family do it legitimate and other people, I can't even remember. I think it was his cousin who put in the G-string. So it just depends. It depends on who you get.

02:03:22 - 02:03:27 | Speaker 2:

When you're the person that's not, you know, like you're just meeting the family and stuff, that's always.

02:03:27 - 02:03:29 | Speaker 4:

Yeah, and I pull out the G-string then. I was mortified.

02:03:30 - 02:03:33 | Speaker 2:

Yeah, that's funny. Telling you to take a picture of Wes, I think it would be great.

02:03:33 - 02:03:33 | Speaker 4:

That's a good one.

02:03:34 - 02:03:41 | Speaker 2:

Do you guys hear the story about Mike and his packing, like little mishap that happened?

02:03:41 - 02:03:48 | Speaker 4:

Well, he keeps talking about this turtleneck that he's wearing, and he's so pissed that he has to wear it. I don't understand why, because you look very nice. Legitimately, you look so nice.

02:03:48 - 02:04:52 | Speaker 1:

This is not what I wanted to wear at all today, and I feel super uncomfortable. I packed so I all like the last month I've been packing bags back and forth you know to to come into town and I wear Christmas sweaters I got all these ugly sweaters I collect a bunch of them that's what I wear the entire month so we're packing for something else because we're going to be taking off for Christmas break and my wife's got all the suitcases out she's packing for the kids and herself and mine was also sitting right there but we have one that looks very similar to each other like a suitcase that looks very similar so I was running out the door last night and they're all full of stuff and i grabbed the suitcase and it had nothing but her stuff in it and then a turtleneck that i think i'm gonna wear i might i'm supposed to wear this for something i don't remember what it was but it's not it needs to be cleaned it's been sitting in there forever because half of the suitcases aren't even unpacked from another trip we went on so i had nothing i had nothing last night to wear and i'm wearing the pants that i wore last night the shoes that i wore last night and a turtleneck and I feel stupid and I hate it so much. I'd rather wear the candy cane thong than wear this turtleneck right now.

02:04:52 - 02:05:00 | Speaker 2:

Actually, you know what's funny is that there are buddies of mine that travel for work and they have similar situations where one buddy

02:05:00 - 02:05:21 | Speaker 3:

of mine grabbed a suitcase or what he thought was his suitcase full of his clothes only to show up and it was nothing inside of it so he went on a business trip and got to the hotel and the next morning had to like figure out where the hell he could go to do uh can you imagine going can you imagine if you went away on a vacation and you forgot your clothes or forgot your your luggage

02:05:21 - 02:05:34 | Speaker 2:

that's the panic that i went through last night is because i had no i had nothing i had didn't have toothbrush i didn't i didn't have anything so i had to go to like the gas station and get like a toothbrush and toothpaste and but i got in last time do you arrive when you come into town for

02:05:34 - 02:05:39 | Speaker 3:

for this when you so i travel from grand rapids to the detroit area i get here a little bit later

02:05:39 - 02:05:43 | Speaker 2:

so that i'm literally just getting into the hotel i set my i get my clothes out and set up for the

02:05:43 - 02:05:51 | Speaker 3:

morning and then i go to bed i don't do anything you like to you like to kiss kids tonight and say good night to the kids and then and then drive the two hours yep yeah yeah that's awesome but

02:05:51 - 02:05:56 | Speaker 2:

i so there wasn't like once i get here i don't want to get back up and go do things and so i was

02:05:56 - 02:06:04 | Speaker 3:

Which is funny because, I mean, the mall is probably still open maybe. I don't know. Does the mall stay open until 9 now or no? Oh, I don't know.

02:06:04 - 02:06:08 | Speaker 7:

For sure, 9. It used to stay open back in the day until like 10 or 11. I don't know if they still do that.

02:06:08 - 02:06:20 | Speaker 3:

I always used to ask this question of people. Who goes shopping at the men's store that's inside of the airport? But now I know who it is. It's guys like you that grabbed the wrong suitcase that are the people that do that thing.

02:06:20 - 02:06:23 | Speaker 1:

Or you lost your suitcase, right? If they never got your luggage there.

02:06:24 - 02:06:24 | Speaker 3:

Helena.

02:06:25 - 02:06:27 | Speaker 5:

Yes. Hi. How are you guys doing today?

02:06:28 - 02:06:35 | Speaker 3:

We're doing good, except for Mike. He's, like, way underdressed for us. I'm so comfortable. Wearing a nice turtleneck and his jeans from yesterday. What's up?

02:06:36 - 02:06:43 | Speaker 5:

I wanted to comment on the white elephant gift. I recently had one at my work, and I actually brought in a spin mop.

02:06:44 - 02:06:45 | Speaker 3:

A spin mop?

02:06:45 - 02:06:46 | Speaker 8:

I love a spin mop.

02:06:46 - 02:06:48 | Speaker 3:

Is it the thing that –

02:06:48 - 02:06:52 | Speaker 8:

You put it in the bucket of water, and then you put it in the thing, and then it, like, drives it out.

02:06:52 - 02:07:00 | Speaker 3:

Oh, yeah. Oh, I see those. Those are a game changer That and a salad Was it the salad shaker thing where it dries your salad

02:07:00 - 02:07:01 | Speaker 1:

Salad spinner

02:07:01 - 02:07:09 | Speaker 3:

So there you go That's a good white elephant gift That's all she had to say What's up Olivia

02:07:09 - 02:07:11 | Speaker 4:

Hey there how are you guys

02:07:11 - 02:07:16 | Speaker 3:

You have an idea for Shannon For her gift that she should give

02:07:16 - 02:07:27 | Speaker 4:

I do On Amazon they have penis shaped Charcuterie boards And you can either get it going left or right Okay, that's so funny. Chelsea has one.

02:07:28 - 02:07:32 | Speaker 3:

Chelsea's, her girlfriends did a penis charcuterie board night.

02:07:32 - 02:07:35 | Speaker 1:

Why does everything with novelty gifts end up being about the penis?

02:07:35 - 02:07:38 | Speaker 7:

No, but I really love that you could choose if it goes left or right.

02:07:38 - 02:07:42 | Speaker 4:

For my one elephant gift, I got these slippers.

02:07:42 - 02:07:45 | Speaker 1:

But poor grandma at the holiday party is going to see.

02:07:45 - 02:07:46 | Speaker 7:

There's no grandma.

02:07:47 - 02:07:50 | Speaker 3:

Wait, who's all there at Wes's thing? It's his sister-in-law, his brother, right?

02:07:50 - 02:07:56 | Speaker 7:

No, it's his two sisters and two brother-in-laws, his brother, and then his nieces and nephews.

02:07:56 - 02:07:58 | Speaker 3:

Oh, my God. The nieces and nephews? How old are they?

02:07:58 - 02:08:01 | Speaker 7:

They're all older. Oh, good. His daughter is the youngest.

02:08:01 - 02:08:02 | Speaker 3:

Oh, so there you go.

02:08:03 - 02:08:03 | Speaker 7:

Yeah.

02:08:03 - 02:08:09 | Speaker 3:

They'll be like, we knew it. She's got that weird kinky radio thing.

02:08:09 - 02:08:18 | Speaker 8:

No, it would be more like she fits right in. I feel like they set the bar with the G-string. You could definitely bring a ding-a-ling shaped charcucci bar. They're actually really nice.

02:08:18 - 02:08:27 | Speaker 3:

Charcucci. It's a coochie bar. By the way, did you guys buy a gag gift for your secret Santa person, or did you guys buy a legit gift?

02:08:27 - 02:08:28 | Speaker 7:

I bought a legit gift.

02:08:28 - 02:08:30 | Speaker 3:

I legit gifted it.

02:08:30 - 02:08:30 | Speaker 7:

Yeah, me too.

02:08:30 - 02:08:32 | Speaker 2:

I got a turtleneck for them that they can have.

02:08:33 - 02:08:34 | Speaker 3:

Wait, did you forget to bring yours in?

02:08:34 - 02:08:38 | Speaker 2:

No, I got that. No, but I'm dressed like Tyrese in the 90s.

02:08:39 - 02:08:44 | Speaker 8:

I would go more for like, if you had the brown fanny pack, the rock on the staircase. Oh, yes.

02:08:46 - 02:08:48 | Speaker 1:

You should totally do that pose today.

02:08:49 - 02:08:50 | Speaker 3:

What's up, Anna?

02:08:51 - 02:08:52 | Speaker 6:

Hi. Good morning, guys.

02:08:53 - 02:08:53 | Speaker 3:

Good morning. What's going on?

02:08:54 - 02:08:57 | Speaker 6:

In the Starbucks drive-in line currently. Oh, really?

02:08:58 - 02:08:59 | Speaker 3:

What are you getting for us?

02:08:59 - 02:09:00 | Speaker 6:

I was trying to bring you guys something.

02:09:01 - 02:09:05 | Speaker 3:

It's all right. We'll drink with you in spirit. What's going on? You got an idea?

02:09:06 - 02:09:22 | Speaker 6:

Yeah. My family, we do drunken white elephant gifts. What is that? So basically, it can range from the cheapest of booze to the most expensive or a bag of McDonald's leftovers that you ate when you're drunk.

02:09:23 - 02:09:25 | Speaker 3:

Oh, my God. This sounds like a fun time.

02:09:25 - 02:09:32 | Speaker 6:

We've had it to where someone got old White Castle wrappers as a gift.

02:09:32 - 02:09:33 | Speaker 3:

Oh, my God.

02:09:33 - 02:09:36 | Speaker 6:

And very, very expensive alcohol as well.

02:09:36 - 02:09:41 | Speaker 1:

Does that say to you, like, that's a fun holiday party or my friends need professional help?

02:09:42 - 02:09:47 | Speaker 3:

Both. I like the idea of doing that. That's actually more fun. What's going on, Jen?

02:09:48 - 02:09:50 | Speaker 6:

Good morning, handsome. How are you?

02:09:50 - 02:09:53 | Speaker 3:

Doing great. What's going on? Make us all feel good.

02:09:53 - 02:10:04 | Speaker 6:

I love you guys. So, yeah, I went to a white elephant for one of my... the company I worked for at the time, and I got a goldfish.

02:10:05 - 02:10:06 | Speaker 5:

That's the word.

02:10:06 - 02:10:32 | Speaker 6:

Now you've got to take care of this thing. It's the worst gift ever, ever, ever, ever. I mean, I mean mugged that chick for the rest of the night. That is so good. Let's not do any live animals for gifts this Christmas. Although. It is the very best worst gift to give. So, I mean, that is really a thunder maker. I mean, that's like, boom, nobody's going to beat that. You brought a goldfish.

02:10:33 - 02:10:38 | Speaker 5:

Yeah. Although I will tell you this, that Shannon, if you ended up opening up one of those mini ponies.

02:10:38 - 02:10:39 | Speaker 4:

Oh, I'd be so excited.

02:10:39 - 02:10:47 | Speaker 5:

You'd get all excited about that. Did I tell you last week that I met a lady when I was in Lexington, Kentucky, that raises mini ponies?

02:10:47 - 02:10:47 | Speaker 4:

Really?

02:10:48 - 02:10:51 | Speaker 5:

Yeah, and she's a listener of the show. She actually saw me at that airport.

02:10:52 - 02:10:54 | Speaker 4:

I love mini ponies, Highland cows, alpacas.

02:10:55 - 02:10:57 | Speaker 6:

Can you get that across customs when you come back from Canada? No.

02:10:58 - 02:11:25 | Speaker 5:

we're gonna give you a chance to win taylor swift tickets it's our taylor swift miss if you text right now the word taylor to nine five five zero zero you have a shot to win so text taylor to nine five five zero zero standard text and data rates do apply good luck and you could win taylor swift tickets taylor's coming in june to fort field we'll get a look at the dirty this

02:11:25 - 02:11:36 | Speaker 4:

the last dirty of the year. I know, I know. So in the wake of the tragic death of Twitch this week, Tyler Perry is opening up, and he's opening up about his own struggles with mental health.

02:11:37 - 02:12:08 | Speaker 2:

I, like the rest of the world, am shocked by the death of Stephen Boss, Twitch. But with that said, I just want to take you back to a time in my life where I tried to commit suicide a couple of times because it was so dark. I didn't think it would get any better. I had endured so much pain, so much abuse, sexual abuse. It was all so hard to just move through that I thought the only way to make this better is pain go away is day of my life. He went on to share some encouraging words

02:12:08 - 02:12:13 | Speaker 4:

for those who may be struggling at this time of year, especially. My life now, I'm the happiest

02:12:13 - 02:12:45 | Speaker 2:

I've ever been. Life is full of joy and love, things I never thought I'd get to. And I'm saying that to you if you are a person who is considering suicide or ending your life and you've already been through a lot of hell please please please think about what the other side could be it could be amazing and you would miss the best part of it going through the darkness don't let the darkness stop you from getting to this incredible place of light side story about tyler perry while we're

02:12:45 - 02:13:06 | Speaker 4:

talking about him in the dirty he's the godfather of prince harry and megan markle's daughter Lilibet, Diana, baby Lily, the couple revealing that info in the final episode of their Netflix docu-series, Harry and Meghan. We got three more episodes yesterday, and this second group of episodes also had Meghan talking about how terrifying it was to receive death threats almost on a daily basis at one point.

02:13:07 - 02:13:33 | Speaker 3:

It just said, Meghan just needs to die. Someone needs to kill her. Maybe it should be me. And he's just like, that's like what's actually out in the world because of people creating hate, you know? and that's the piece when you see it and you go you are making people want to kill me it's not just a tabloid it's not just some story and like that night to be up and down in the middle of the night looking down my hallway like are we safe are the doors locked is security on is everything

02:13:33 - 02:13:47 | Speaker 4:

that's real are my babies safe harry also opened up about the infamous sandringham summit the meeting with his brother william his dad and the queen when he broke the news that he and megan

02:13:47 - 02:14:19 | Speaker 1:

wanted to step away from their royal duties it was terrifying to have my brother scream and shout at me and my father say things that just simply weren't true and my grandmother you know quietly sit there and sort of take it all in you have to understand that from a family's perspective especially from hers her ultimate sort of mission goal or slash responsibility is the institution people around her are telling her that proposal or these two doing xyz is going to be seen as an attack on the institution, then she's going to go on the advice that she's given.

02:14:19 - 02:14:26 | Speaker 5:

Is that what the X, Y, Z is? I've always wondered that. I thought it was X, Y, Z.

02:14:26 - 02:14:27 | Speaker 4:

In England, they say Z.

02:14:27 - 02:14:34 | Speaker 5:

Z, what does that mean? It's the letter Z. They say Z, Z, or Z is Z in England?

02:14:34 - 02:14:34 | Speaker 3:

Yeah.

02:14:35 - 02:14:37 | Speaker 5:

What is A in England?

02:14:37 - 02:14:39 | Speaker 3:

I'm pretty sure it's all the same except for

02:14:39 - 02:14:42 | Speaker 5:

Z. Don't they say Z

02:14:42 - 02:14:42 | Speaker 3:

in Canada, though?

02:14:43 - 02:14:51 | Speaker 5:

I have no idea. Shannon, will you find out for us when you bring your picture of the thong picture?

02:14:52 - 02:14:59 | Speaker 4:

Yes, I will. Another Dirty Today, Sister Wife stars Mary Brown and Cody Brown are calling it quits after 32 years together. Another one bites the dust.

02:15:00 - 02:15:06 | Speaker 7:

No real surprise here, I don't think. Have you been watching the season? I have. Okay, so do we think that Janelle has left as well?

02:15:07 - 02:15:09 | Speaker 4:

I think that there's a possibility that he's going to be left.

02:15:09 - 02:15:13 | Speaker 7:

Is the only Robin left? It's sobbing Robin, baby. It's Cody and sobbing Robin.

02:15:13 - 02:15:17 | Speaker 4:

Robin is like... She's the newest one. You can't even deal with her.

02:15:17 - 02:15:50 | Speaker 6:

She cries. That's what she does. Part one of the Sister Wives one-on-one special airs on Sunday night. In a clip from it, Cody at one point says, I don't really consider myself married to Mary. If she wanted to move on and marry another, she wouldn't get an argument from me. And Mary's whole take is, well, that was the first time that he ever said that. Now, technically, they're not legally married anymore because they had to get divorced a couple of years ago so that he could legally wed his fourth wife, Robin, and adopt her children from a previous marriage. So they were in like a spiritual union of sorts.

02:15:50 - 02:16:13 | Speaker 7:

Which turns out, I don't think they actually had to get married for him to adopt the kids. It just seems like this has been the plan for a long time. Also, he was blaming Christine for the reason why he was not forgiving Mary. Christine laughed. He had no reason. And now he's like, oh, she could move on. She wants to. He fell in love with Robin and then was like, oh, I don't think polygamy is my thing. And you cannot change my mind.

02:16:13 - 02:16:25 | Speaker 4:

You know what's amazing is you talked about the Chrisleys going to prison and stuff. Yeah. If there was a reality star that had to go to prison, I'd want it to be that guy. For some reason, I'd want him to go to prison more so than even the Chrisleys.

02:16:25 - 02:16:31 | Speaker 7:

Cody drives me absolutely. What's with the hair? The ramen noodles? The ramen noodle hair. What are you talking about?

02:16:31 - 02:16:49 | Speaker 6:

They are holding up for dear love, baby. So bad. And lastly, Miley Cyrus joking in a new interview about the ways she has emulated her legendary godmother, Dolly Parton. She was asked by E! News yesterday about the possibility of playing Dolly in a biopic at some point down the road.

02:16:49 - 02:17:05 | Speaker 5:

Have a holly jolly Christmas. Me and Dolly have never really spoken honestly about me playing Dolly. Because I feel like I'm already doing it. I don't know what they're going to do to me. I'm sucked, I'm tucked and plucked, just like she taught me. I'm sucked, I'm tucked and plucked.

02:17:05 - 02:17:06 | Unknown:

I love that.

02:17:06 - 02:17:16 | Speaker 6:

By the way, don't forget, they're slated to co-host Miley's New Year's Eve party live from Miami on New Year's Eve on NBC. For all of today's Dirty, check out the Dirty page on Legend of Winning.

02:17:34 - 02:18:23 | Speaker 4:

Mojo in the Morning Got an email from a Mojo in the Morning listener I figured I'd get it before the end of the break Because this actually works for only now I couldn't come back after the break and talk about this It says Mojo, Spike, Shannon, Megan, Mike I wanted to ask you guys a question Is it too late to break up? I have been in a relationship with the same guy for the last year and a half. He has never treated me right, and I don't feel like spending one more minute with him is actually going to make me a better person. Although I worry that it's getting too close to the holidays to do this, should I wait until after the holidays? You know, I'm kind of torn on this because have any of you guys ever broken up with anybody? During the holidays?

02:18:23 - 02:18:23 | Speaker 6:

Yes.

02:18:24 - 02:18:26 | Speaker 4:

Really? You broke up with someone? How close to the holidays?

02:18:27 - 02:18:33 | Speaker 6:

One the very first week of December and the other, like literally right after Christmas. Okay.

02:18:33 - 02:18:37 | Speaker 4:

So you wait, wait. Okay. So this is too close. Anybody else in there?

02:18:38 - 02:18:42 | Speaker 6:

Well, I wouldn't call that waiting. I mean, it was like the first week of December.

02:18:43 - 02:19:01 | Speaker 4:

Yeah, but that's still at least within a, like at least a few couple, three weeks. Okay, all right. Like right now, look at what we're going on. We're 10 days away. or less than nine yeah kp uh did you didn't you say one time that you broke up with a boyfriend uh right around christmas like at what point is is it too

02:19:01 - 02:19:11 | Speaker 2:

yeah i did and i just felt like i didn't want it to keep going and be fake during the holidays it's such a hard time already when you're with someone else's family i don't didn't want to be

02:19:11 - 02:19:19 | Speaker 4:

fake how soon how soon before christmas did you break up with him oh boy nobody hate me a week

02:19:19 - 02:19:20 | Speaker 2:

Oh my god

02:19:20 - 02:19:24 | Speaker 4:

Wow So like within this time Come in the studio And tell us about this

02:19:24 - 02:19:34 | Speaker 3:

I mean this may not be The popular opinion But if someone's not into me And wants to break up I want you to do it now I don't want you to tell me I agree with that I don't care what day it is I agree with that Disagree

02:19:34 - 02:19:37 | Speaker 6:

Don't stretch it out Wait so For longer than it should be Right

02:19:37 - 02:19:44 | Speaker 3:

It's just as bad to tell me The day after Christmas That you weren't into me And you wanted to break up And you just made me Sit around for three days

02:19:44 - 02:20:00 | Speaker 7:

So you think it's worse To have a little bit of like A mediocre holiday then that person be like super upset and depressed through the holiday and lonely it'd be heartbroken either way no no disagree there's one that's mediocre and one that's devastating i mean i'm in charge of my own

02:20:00 - 02:20:26 | Speaker 4:

own happiness his he's responsible for his own emotions we'd been together for almost five years and i just felt like i didn't want to sit through and pretend through the holidays yeah um and i just wanted to be very upfront and forward so i did it yeah um the thing is i gave him my gift i still love and care for him his family still part of my life i gave him his gift i wanted him to keep it i don't know how he felt to be honest i feel like he might have been salty about having to give me mine, but I don't care. Oh, wait a second.

02:20:26 - 02:20:28 | Speaker 3:

He still gave you his gift.

02:20:29 - 02:20:33 | Speaker 4:

Yeah, because he was like, you can't have your cake and eat it too. That was one of the comments he said. He's a nice guy.

02:20:33 - 02:20:36 | Speaker 3:

What did you guys give each other? What was the parting gift?

02:20:36 - 02:20:43 | Speaker 4:

Gosh, oh, I had worked. I was a seasonal employee at Lululemon at the time, so I got him a bunch of really nice stuff. That's expensive stuff. Yeah.

02:20:44 - 02:20:46 | Speaker 3:

Even with a discount, it's expensive stuff.

02:20:46 - 02:20:57 | Speaker 4:

Yeah, and I wanted him to have it because, I mean, I care for him. What did he give you? He got me, actually, it's the purse I wore to work every single day. It's this leather purse from Madewell, which is one of my favorite stores. So he got that for me. Wow. Yeah.

02:20:57 - 02:21:08 | Speaker 3:

All right. So, so, okay. We have a little bit of disagreement. Megan and I are more the, you should wait and fake it, uh, where Spike, Shannon, and KP are like, do it. It's over.

02:21:08 - 02:21:10 | Speaker 4:

I can't have another day. Yeah.

02:21:11 - 02:21:14 | Speaker 6:

It's going to be over no matter what. Just don't.

02:21:14 - 02:21:14 | Speaker 3:

Yeah.

02:21:14 - 02:21:16 | Speaker 6:

Yeah, but I don't want to have it. Yeah. No.

02:21:17 - 02:21:19 | Speaker 3:

Megan, you and I have a heart. You and I are the only ones with a heart.

02:21:20 - 02:21:23 | Speaker 6:

Who would have fought us two out of everybody on the show? I would be the compassionate ones.

02:21:23 - 02:21:30 | Speaker 3:

Chelsea, if you're going to leave me, don't leave me until after the Christmas. Actually, leave me before the visa bill comes.

02:21:30 - 02:21:38 | Speaker 6:

Plus, if we're being really honest, I've liked most of my significant other's families more than my significant others. I want to spend the holidays with them.

02:21:38 - 02:21:51 | Speaker 4:

I don't want to miss that. That was the hardest part for me with that breakup. I was so close to that family. When he was away from college, for college, I would be at his parents' house eating dinner with them. For my birthday, they'd bring me cake. It was just like...

02:21:51 - 02:21:54 | Speaker 3:

Were they upset with you? Did they hate you afterwards?

02:21:54 - 02:22:12 | Speaker 4:

So his sister is one of my really good friends, and she was kind of telling me the inside scoop of what's going on after the breakup because I didn't know anymore. And she's like, yeah, they're all really upset about it. But in time, everybody realized it was the right choice. Yeah. You got to pull through.

02:22:12 - 02:22:23 | Speaker 3:

Why does this Judy Garland version of the song is always played on every, like, love, like, oh, he loved me. And all of a sudden, here he comes running back in the snow.

02:22:23 - 02:22:25 | Speaker 6:

Hold on. She's perfection.

02:22:25 - 02:22:38 | Speaker 3:

Liza's perfection. Here we go on. Here comes KP running back in the snow with her lululemon for him. Oh, good lord. Let me do it. Let me make him feel good. All right, so to the listener that says, should I break up or not break up, you guys say?

02:22:39 - 02:22:39 | Speaker 6:

Break up.

02:22:40 - 02:22:41 | Speaker 3:

Megan and I say?

02:22:41 - 02:22:43 | Speaker 6:

Break up, but wait a week.

02:22:43 - 02:22:45 | Speaker 5:

Break up. Right now.

02:22:45 - 02:22:47 | Speaker 6:

I'm not saying stick it out forever.

02:22:47 - 02:22:49 | Speaker 5:

Before the end of the show, call us and break up on the air.

02:22:50 - 02:22:54 | Speaker 3:

Yeah. Why don't you just let us do the breaking up for you? We'll help you out.

02:22:54 - 02:23:08 | Speaker 1:

02:28:22 - 02:28:42 | Speaker 2:

We're going to do Secret Santa It's Mojo in the Morning Have you seen our Christmas card yet? You can see it up on Our Facebook, Instagram Our special Christmas card Which Megan's salty about this morning

02:28:42 - 02:29:10 | Speaker 3:

I think you look beautiful, Megan Reese, are we going to Facebook Live this, too?

02:29:11 - 02:29:30 | Speaker 2:

I believe so, right? So Facebook Live, Reese. If you want to grab your phones and jump on our Facebook, Mojo in the Morning, see everybody in the studio, we're all here. It's fun when everybody's here. I like it when everybody's in the studio. Tell management we need to all be in the same city. I'd like it to be Fort Lauderdale, Florida.

02:29:31 - 02:29:31 | Unknown:

Yes.

02:29:32 - 02:30:00 | Speaker 2:

It's all move. I think we can all agree on this. We don't need to move to Toledo. We don't need to move to Grand Rapids. We don't need to move to Detroit. We're not going to show favoritism to them. We're going to move to Fort Lauderdale, Florida. Yes. Yes. In deck the halls. Life's not like Christmas at all. So on our More Mojo podcast a couple of weeks ago, we decided that we were going to do a secret Santa where we...

02:30:00 - 02:31:45 | Speaker 1:

picked out of a hat who we would all have and we got a lot of people that make this show possible obviously you guys know that the people that you hear the most but there's a lot of behind the scenes people like katie our executive audio producer and tony our boss reese our director of social impact lydia associate producer kp the executive producer and then uh spike shannon Megan, Mike, myself, Mojo. Yes. Yeah. The only person I know who has who is me. And actually, to be honest with you, this is not even funny, but I bought my gift like a week or so ago. And when I bought the gift a week or so ago, I had to double-check and said to Chelsea, oh, my God, I hope I'm buying for the right person. I think this is who I have. And then Chelsea says, well, are you sure you don't know? And then I went into my car and I found that little slip of paper with the person's name on it. And I was like, thank God, that's exactly who I had. All right, so we're ready to go. We've done, you know, white elephants before. Secret Santa's, I know in the past, we've done where it was kind of like, all right, who's up next? Who's got the gift? So why don't we just go around the room and whoever's got a gift in front of them and they want to open it up and then we'll find out who your secret Santa is. You want us to start with that? Mike, would you like to go first? You never get to go first with things. It's always the girls that get to go first. Do you want me to give my gift first? No, you're not supposed to give your gift. You're supposed to open up the gift with your name on it, and then when you ask who it is, and then that's the person that does it. Oh, okay, okay. Yeah, that's how it – because this would be interesting to see also if you can guess who it was that gave you the gift. So –

02:31:45 - 02:31:46 | Speaker 2:

All right.

02:31:47 - 02:31:49 | Speaker 1:

Gift with your name on it right there, right?

02:31:49 - 02:31:50 | Speaker 2:

Yeah, it comes with –

02:31:50 - 02:31:57 | Speaker 1:

Can you recognize the writing on yours? Or do they have somebody else write it for them? Because I had somebody else write mine for me.

02:31:57 - 02:31:59 | Speaker 2:

I have a guess on who it's from.

02:31:59 - 02:32:00 | Speaker 1:

Okay.

02:32:00 - 02:32:06 | Speaker 2:

I have a guess based on the... The packaging. Who's your packaging? Okay, what's your guess? My guess is Shannon.

02:32:06 - 02:32:07 | Speaker 1:

Your guess is Shannon? What?

02:32:07 - 02:32:09 | Speaker 2:

I thought it was Shannon for sure.

02:32:10 - 02:32:12 | Speaker 1:

Oh, is this because it's so nicely decorated?

02:32:12 - 02:32:16 | Speaker 3:

Yeah, that was my first guess. Shannon does a great job.

02:32:16 - 02:32:27 | Speaker 2:

All right. And it came with LaCroix, and we just talked about this the other day. I know we did. What flavor of LaCroix? It is. I've never had this one before. It's beach plum. Okay. But I love it. All right. Let's open it up.

02:32:27 - 02:32:28 | Speaker 1:

Let's open it up. Let's fire through.

02:32:29 - 02:32:30 | Speaker 2:

All right.

02:32:32 - 02:32:35 | Speaker 1:

Facebook Live, folks. Facebook Live. You can actually watch our Secret Santa.

02:32:37 - 02:32:44 | Speaker 2:

02:32:50 - 02:32:50 | Speaker 3:

Okay.

02:32:50 - 02:32:52 | Speaker 1:

Okay, that's fair.

02:32:52 - 02:32:52 | Unknown:

That's fair.

02:32:53 - 02:33:31 | Speaker 1:

That was very nice. That is a great kid. So, wait, who is it? Who's Mike's secret Santa? Lydia! Of course. Nice job, Lydia. That's awesome. Can I do mine now? Yeah. Oh, my God, it's heavy. Oh, my God. Hold on a second. I think it's laundry detergent. Do I open up the card or no? I don't do the card, right? Because that will give it away. Who it is? Oh, look at this. We were supposed to do cards? Yeah, I didn't do cards. I got water. I got water. I know who this is. I know who this is, you son of a bee. I got water. Wait, do I have cottage cheese in here, too? Oh, no, no. Yes!

02:33:33 - 02:33:35 | Speaker 3:

Wait, that's not a gift. It's a replacement.

02:33:35 - 02:34:12 | Speaker 1:

I got cottage cheese. And last but not least, I got protein shakes. Ladies and gentlemen, who is my secret Santa? It's Reese. It's one of the only, oh, yes. Your secret shopper. Oh, and I get a beautiful card. Reese, I love you. I love you like the kid I never wanted. Actually, I'd rather have you than my kids. I love you, Reese. There's a little something in the card, too. Oh, my God. And look at that. Wait, Reese, what the hell are you doing? Hey, Merry Christmas. I got a gift. He also gave me a gift card or gift certificate to Red Coat. And Reese loves Starbucks. Reese, do me a favor. Do me a favor. You go next, then. Guys, guys first on this one. Go ahead.

02:34:12 - 02:34:13 | Speaker 3:

Do you want me to?

02:34:13 - 02:34:26 | Speaker 1:

Yes. Here, why don't we hold it? I'll hold it. You got it, Mike? I got it. Okay. What a great gift. one right here? It's the one that I think says Reese on it, doesn't it? Oh, I'm thinking it's

But the big thing was, you said you did not have a Christmas tree for your house, so I wanted you to have a Christmas tree for your house, Reese. Happy Starbucks Christmas right there. You, by the way, will go through all of those Starbucks cards within our first week probably of being. Yes, very fast. Thank you very much. Merry Christmas, man.

02:35:26 - 02:35:29 | Speaker 4:

02:35:30 - 02:35:32 | Speaker 3:

All right, who's next, Spike?

02:35:32 - 02:35:45 | Speaker 4:

Go ahead. All right, well, I already knew this. It's just a stereotype, but I knew I was going to get beer for Christmas because it's always a good standard, and this is a good variety pack, too. So that could be from anybody. Oh, that's not mine?

02:35:46 - 02:35:50 | Speaker 3:

Get away from my gift. Oh, wait a second. Hold on. Megan, she's trying to.

02:35:50 - 02:35:52 | Speaker 4:

She just slapped me hard when I touched her gift.

02:35:52 - 02:35:54 | Speaker 3:

See, whoever gave this to me, if you gave it to me earlier this morning, I could have made breakfast for the whole show.

02:36:33 - 02:36:38 | Speaker 3:

Who do you think is your secret Santa? It's amazing.

02:36:38 - 02:36:41 | Speaker 4:

I'm going to guess Reese.

02:36:42 - 02:36:43 | Speaker 3:

02:36:43 - 02:36:47 | Speaker 4:

02:37:23 - 02:37:27 | Speaker 3:

Well, if the card's a giveaway, I don't know if you want to do the card first, but you tell us.

02:37:28 - 02:37:34 | Speaker 2:

02:38:35 - 02:38:36 | Speaker 3:

02:38:37 - 02:38:38 | Speaker 1:

All right. Oh, man.

02:38:41 - 02:38:44 | Speaker 3:

Listeners don't get a chance to actually hear the voices Of some of these people So I'm going to save Megan and Shannon for last So Katie, come on up here Our executive audio producer Give it up for Katie The lady with 8,000 jobs

02:39:18 - 02:39:20 | Speaker 1:

I'm not used to the mic side, you guys.

Aw, you get the mic side right now. You get to edit your own voice when you're putting together the audio.

02:39:25 - 02:39:25 | Speaker 1:

Wonderful.

02:39:26 - 02:39:27 | Speaker 4:

Can I say something?

02:39:27 - 02:39:27 | Speaker 3:

Yeah.

02:39:28 - 02:39:48 | Speaker 4:

Katie's a wonderful human being who's always behind the scenes. She does so much hard work. And also, as a second part to that statement, my family never did Secret Santa, and I never understood the rules. So I didn't know I was supposed to wrap it and not tell anyone who the gift is. So I have to just say, I had KP for Secret Santa. What? I didn't wrap her gift and put a name on it. I mean Katie. Okay, I was going to say, wait a second.

02:39:48 - 02:39:50 | Speaker 3:

He's taking credit for KP's gift.
