It's showtime! We'll be right back.

00:02:56 - 00:04:25 | Speaker 5:

good morning welcome to the mojo in the morning show i'm sorry i'm trying to make my way into the studio this morning to try to see if i can hello hello anybody here i wondering what that was i get it now that's my foghorn i get it it was crazy driving i actually didn't know if i was on the road or off the road i was hoping somebody would go in front of me and then they had me be the leader and i'm not a good person at being the leader driving wise because as uh you all can attest to i either drive too fast or i take the wrong route so don't be following me when it goes uh to driving down the road i don't know how the uh the fog is everywhere that you're listening but it is nasty here in the detroit area good morning welcome to the show hope you had a great weekend we have what Just one more weekend before Christmas. Am I right in saying that? Yeah, because I think next week, you know, the 20th is Friday, and then that means the 24th and 25th are the following week. It's kind of crazy to think that. Man, time is just flying. 2024 isn't going to be over with. We're going to be 2025 before we know it. And then, I don't know if any of you guys are, any of you guys facing any kind of stress with trying to figure out what to do for Christmas shopping and doing stuff?

00:04:25 - 00:04:44 | Speaker 7:

I'm literally jotting down notes right now about this because I'm so annoyed about this. And there's one thing I forgot to get. This is very serious because I've gotten so few ideas from the boys in my life that I if I don't get this, I'm going to be absolutely screwed this year. I'm screwed on time as well. And this is all my brother's fault.

00:04:46 - 00:04:50 | Speaker 5:

Wait, what is it that you're why is your brother's fault? Is he hard to shop for?

00:04:50 - 00:04:59 | Speaker 7:

Well, we had all agreed this year. And I don't know if you guys do this in your family. We come up with new plans and new traditions every single year. And so this year was, are we doing a gift exchange?

00:05:00 - 00:05:58 | Speaker 1:

or not and we had all agreed like no we're not doing it this year there's nothing we want there's nothing we need and we were thinking about like going out and just like doing something as a family on christmas day instead of sitting around the house and doing a gift exchange which i love that same same plus we are all in a consumeristic society where all of us buy what we want as soon as we want it anyways so there's not even something anybody's been holding on to as like a wish like we're all the worst of like i want it i got it like ariana grande style and um over the weekend my brother had gone to chicago and as he was leaving he just does this quick little thing like oh actually just you know i got you some christmas presents after we had agreed to not doing christmas presents oh boy and so now my dad and i are like well i guess we have to go What's the budget? Now you've made it super awkward because you've already bought gifts.

00:05:58 - 00:06:00 | Speaker 4:

I've been your brother to you before.

00:06:00 - 00:06:12 | Speaker 1:

You have. And it's so incredibly frustrating because now you don't want to tell me what you've spent on me. So I don't know how to match you. I don't know what the groundwork. I don't know if I'm going to go over budget, under budget, who's going to be uncomfortable.

00:06:13 - 00:06:18 | Speaker 4:

What made him change plans? Was he not in agreement of the original plan or what's the story?

00:06:18 - 00:07:01 | Speaker 1:

I really took care of Thanksgiving for my family. So I think this was like a... Payback? Yeah. Okay. But I was fine with Thanksgiving. Thanksgiving is easy. I can buy the food. I know what I'm going to cook. Christmas is hard. You don't want slash need anything. Yeah. And now I'm stressed out. So my dad and I spent like seven hours at the mall this weekend trying to figure out what to get each other. How much money? Are we including girlfriends now at this point? Are they going to be over at the place? And I call my brother on his way back from Chicago. I'm like, I need ideas. Like, I'm really struggling out here. And he just keeps repeating over and over and over again. I don't need anything. I don't want anything. That's not how this works. You started this. You're stressing me out and you're not helping.

00:07:02 - 00:07:11 | Speaker 4:

As somebody who has changed the rules mid game and done this before, I never wanted anything. I wanted to get you something. And I think maybe that's what your brother's saying.

00:07:11 - 00:07:12 | Speaker 1:

That's not how it works.

00:07:12 - 00:07:23 | Speaker 4:

What happens if your brother gave you and your dad gifts and you guys gave him nothing? Would he be like, are these bastards? What are they doing? Or would he understand that he changed the rules?

00:07:24 - 00:07:35 | Speaker 1:

No, he doesn't care. I care. I feel like the letdown. If you get me something and I didn't return it, I feel like the bad sister. I get it. Because I didn't care about you enough. That's what I mean.

00:07:35 - 00:07:58 | Speaker 2:

I don't think people understand, but it's not the same. Like a dinner, even though the monetary value could be very similar or even more because food is so expensive, it's not the same. You can't be like, well, I got Thanksgiving, and you're opening all these gifts, and your brother's just sitting there not opening anything. Right. I hate when people do the switch. By the way, as we're talking about this, we are not getting any gifts for each other, right? Nope.

00:07:59 - 00:08:00 | Speaker 4:

Oh, crap. I got a hug.

00:08:00 - 00:08:06 | Speaker 2:

That's not even funny. It's not. I did a whole. Because the last-minute stress then, like, sets me over the edge. That's what I meant.

00:08:06 - 00:08:12 | Speaker 4:

You should see what I did. I bought Kevin this unbelievable Lexus. My kind of guest.

00:08:12 - 00:08:19 | Speaker 1:

And have you been on Amazon? You can't get anything by Christmas online right now. Yeah, a lot of the shipping deadlines are over.

00:08:19 - 00:08:24 | Speaker 4:

Did you see the Amazon drivers are talking about going on strike now, too? No way. Yeah, they're talking after Thursday.

00:08:24 - 00:08:36 | Speaker 3:

Okay, but look, in your brother's defense, real quick, even though we had this understanding, if I walk past a store and I see something that screams you, me being the great person I am, I can't just keep walking.

00:08:36 - 00:08:50 | Speaker 1:

Yes, you can, because we've made agreements, and now you're making me look like the bad guy with your moment. I don't see anything but love. But that's a selfish thing. You're actually thinking in a selfish place, which is what I would like to tell my brother.

00:08:51 - 00:09:18 | Speaker 4:

All right, 844-MOJO-LIVE, 844-665-6548 is our telephone number. Did Megan's brother commit a major family foul? Do we have to throw the flag on him for what he's doing, changing the rules this close to the game? And I think that, honestly, I do think that he just wants to do something nice for you. And if I was him, I wouldn't have told you. I would have just done it and then showed up.

00:09:18 - 00:09:24 | Speaker 2:

That might have been worse. No, but because now you've just stressed her out and made her upset.

00:09:24 - 00:09:33 | Speaker 3:

But could you imagine her receiving a gift on Christmas and not having anything to give her? Honestly, I probably would have cried. Her stress level would have went crazy.

00:09:33 - 00:09:36 | Speaker 4:

See, I think that you would have looked at it and gone, my brother loves me.

00:09:36 - 00:09:38 | Speaker 3:

No, she wouldn't even be able to enjoy it.

00:09:38 - 00:09:42 | Speaker 1:

No, it would have been so, like, I feel so selfish.

00:09:42 - 00:09:42 | Speaker 4:

Really?

00:09:42 - 00:09:45 | Speaker 1:

On Christmas Day, that's a terrible feeling.

00:09:46 - 00:09:59 | Speaker 4:

Oh, a texter here, 734, says, I think your brother is sweet. He wants to repay you for what you did for Thanksgiving. Why not make him something? You make amazing baked goods. That's an interesting one. I like that. What's going on, Todd? What's going on, Todd?

00:10:00 - 00:10:21 | Speaker 3:

happening how you doing what's up uh first time call it man i've been listening for a while but first time man first time what's going on uh todd what do you think i can say like uh i came up from junior i'm cleaning my parents basement trying to help out i'm looking for gifts and i discovered

00:10:21 - 00:10:30 | Speaker 2:

them what do you wait wait hold on hold on saying that totally off topic you are you're cleaning in your parents' basement to help them out, and you're looking to see what they bought you?

00:10:32 - 00:10:42 | Speaker 3:

No, I'm discovering things in my parents' basement that, like, nobody realizes was here. Oh, so you're going to re-gift things that are in their house. Yeah, exactly.

00:10:44 - 00:11:08 | Speaker 2:

Here's an idea for you, Megan. Just go in your brother's place, which is your old house, right? And just re-gift him whatever that's already in there and see if he recognizes that he didn't see it for a little bit. Interesting. How about that dog, Coraline? Put a big bow around. Say, here you go. I'm going to give you a dog. That's an interesting thing that his son's doing. His parents are old and probably have a little memory loss, and the guy's playing with their emotions. What's up, Jennifer? Hi.

00:11:10 - 00:11:31 | Speaker 4:

Hi. So I work at a school, and I know my coworkers. I'm married, and my coworkers are not, and we don't make a lot of money. We are daycare workers. So I bought my coworkers Christmas gifts, and I'm not going to give it to them until Friday when we're leaving at the end of the day so they don't feel bad.

00:11:31 - 00:11:37 | Speaker 2:

She's pulling the old switcheroo, but she's going to be in her car driving home at that time, right?

00:11:38 - 00:11:39 | Speaker 4:

Exactly.

00:11:40 - 00:12:06 | Speaker 2:

You know what? That's actually kind of a nice thing to do because you know what that is? That's the whole St. Nick, right? You know, the St. Nick Santa Claus would give it to you. give you the gifts and that you wouldn't even see them comment basically it was like a drive-by gifting yeah i like that so i like that idea and it's you're not looking for any praise or pats on the back it's not like you're going to sit there and say hey where's mine absolutely not i want to

00:12:06 - 00:12:19 | Speaker 4:

do this because i want as a single mom i know she doesn't i know she can't yeah and i know she would if she could and i don't want that i want to do it because i love my co-workers you're a sweet lady

00:12:20 - 00:12:26 | Speaker 2:

Seriously, that's the whole spirit of the season right there. I love you. Nice job, Jennifer. What's going on, Sandra?

00:12:27 - 00:12:38 | Speaker 1:

Hey, I was just thinking like a weekend away or a concert, something where maybe you two could spend time together because he really seems like he enjoys his sister's company.

00:12:39 - 00:12:42 | Speaker 7:

That's so sweet if I had the money for a weekend away.

00:12:43 - 00:12:51 | Speaker 2:

But you do that normally anyway. That's like what's called a Tuesday for you guys. You guys do go and do these little things. I'm sure that you help out.

00:12:51 - 00:13:04 | Speaker 7:

I think that's a huge perk of the job, but, like, to plan. The whole reason we had this conversation is, I mean, truly finance-based. So, like, I just wish I had the money to do something like that for him, but I don't.

00:13:04 - 00:13:06 | Speaker 2:

Tasha, what's up? It's Mojo in the morning.

00:13:07 - 00:13:21 | Speaker 5:

Hi, good morning. Good morning. I wanted to talk about the awkward thing where you and your friends agree that you're not going to exchange gifts, and then when you get together they all come with gifts and you don't uh well that is the surprise

00:13:21 - 00:13:43 | Speaker 2:

that i was saying that i think would be better for them to do but it is makes you does feel like you're a mooch doesn't it yes yeah a little bit yeah but isn't it nice though that they don't expect anything back like they're not doing it because they want you to go and feel bad they're doing it because they feel like you deserve it that's a sweet friendship right but then you also

00:13:43 - 00:13:47 | Speaker 6:

feel the same way, but you're also respecting the conversation you've had.

00:13:47 - 00:13:59 | Speaker 2:

I know. Well, that's the whole point of this conversation, I guess, here right now. I will say this to you that we are not getting gifts. Is that what you said, Janet? We're not doing gifts? I feel like

00:13:59 - 00:14:03 | Speaker 9:

we all need a pinky promise. Like, actually pinky promise.

00:14:04 - 00:14:04 | Speaker 2:

Can we...

00:14:04 - 00:14:07 | Speaker 9:

Nothing! We just said nothing!

00:14:08 - 00:14:12 | Speaker 2:

Can we do this? Can we do Secret Santa? I will honestly be so pissed. Let's pick one person's name out.

00:14:12 - 00:14:18 | Speaker 8:

No, no, not late. I want to do this. Not at this point. No, but no, listen to what I'm saying. I love you.

00:14:18 - 00:14:30 | Speaker 2:

No, not a secret Santa. Remember last year we all just decided we were going to buy Zach a gift? We put everybody's name in there and then we pick one person's name out. Nobody knows exactly whose name it is, but it's the same person. Everybody buys for one person.

00:14:31 - 00:14:42 | Speaker 8:

We had this conversation. Me. No, because then it's still, I have to go, I have to add something to my list. Please, no. It's easy for me. It is such a gift to not have someone else to buy for at this point. Truly.

00:14:43 - 00:14:49 | Speaker 7:

I will say this. If any of you bring a gift, I will look you in the eyes as I throw it in the trash and walk away. How about this?

00:14:49 - 00:14:50 | Speaker 9:

You come on.

00:14:50 - 00:14:50 | Speaker 2:

How about this?

00:14:51 - 00:14:54 | Speaker 7:

We all bring a fun alcohol for Friday morning show.

00:14:54 - 00:14:59 | Speaker 2:

Why don't we do that? That's a great idea. Why doesn't everybody bring their favorite alcohol in?

00:15:00 - 00:15:02 | Speaker 3:

And we add to our bar that's over here in the corner.

00:15:02 - 00:15:06 | Speaker 1:

Perfect. And we can make drinks on Friday morning. Perfect. What do you think? Come on, you love this idea, Ken.

00:15:06 - 00:15:09 | Speaker 3:

No, no, no, no. If we drink them, he's talking about just put it in the corner.

00:15:09 - 00:15:10 | Speaker 1:

No, we're going to drink them.

00:15:10 - 00:15:17 | Speaker 3:

Yeah. I think it would be fun. That's a great idea, Shannon. I like that. Whatever. What's that?

00:15:17 - 00:15:18 | Speaker 2:

Can we dress up on Friday?

00:15:19 - 00:15:22 | Speaker 3:

No. Pajamas. We're dressing up. We're going out with someone nice afterwards. That's right.

00:15:23 - 00:15:23 | Speaker 2:

All right, never mind.

00:15:24 - 00:15:25 | Speaker 3:

All right, now I can end this.

00:15:25 - 00:15:35 | Speaker 4:

With a station to put the rum in. Pa-rum-pa-pum-pum. Merry Christmas. Mojo in the Morning. How smart are you? It's Mojo in the Morning's back in the day.

00:15:35 - 00:15:36 | Speaker 5:

We have to go back in time.

00:15:37 - 00:15:39 | Speaker 4:

Where we give you a bunch of events, and you tell us what year it happened.

00:15:40 - 00:15:48 | Speaker 3:

All right, this was the year that President Barack Obama was sworn in as President of the United States.

00:15:48 - 00:16:01 | Speaker 1:

And will, to the best of my ability, preserve, protect, and defend the Constitution of the United States. Preserve, protect, and defend the Constitution of the United States. So help you God? So help me God. Congratulations, Mr. President.

00:16:02 - 00:16:16 | Speaker 3:

Year one, starring Jack Black and Michael Cera was the big movie. Grasp the foreskins of our penises and we shall cut there from the extra flesh. I don't think I've ever seen this movie, nor do I want to. I don't think I have any extra.

00:16:17 - 00:16:18 | Speaker 4:

Couldn't we pierce our ears or something?

00:16:19 - 00:16:23 | Speaker 3:

So it shall be written. You watch all these bad movies, don't you?

00:16:23 - 00:16:27 | Speaker 5:

That's hilarious. And the big song.

00:16:29 - 00:16:41 | Speaker 3:

What year was it? We'll set you up with the prize. I think the prize is pretty good today, but I don't know what it is. Oh, hold on. Wait, Lydia, what's the prize today?

00:16:42 - 00:16:45 | Speaker 2:

There are tickets to our 97.9 WJLB Big Show.

00:16:45 - 00:16:52 | Speaker 3:

Oh, tickets to the Big Show. JLB, our sister station's Big Show. Good luck. Prove what a big brain you have.

00:16:52 - 00:17:00 | Speaker 5:

Tell us when that stuff happened. Call us at 844-MOJO-LIVE to tell us. 844-665-6548.

00:17:00 - 00:17:22 | Speaker 3:

I know I say this all the time, but man, you sure get a lot for just $15 a month at Planet Fitness. And that's where Kev and I go to work out. We love to watch TV when we're there. But one of the things that we like to do, too, is get a good sweat on. So why not get into Planet Fitness today, free fitness training, and get a great workout going. PlanetFitness.com.

00:17:23 - 00:17:28 | Speaker 4:

How good is your memory? His mojo in the mornings back in the day. What year did this stuff happen?

00:17:28 - 00:17:35 | Speaker 3:

It was the year that Barack Obama, the senator from Illinois, was sworn in as the president of the United States.

00:17:35 - 00:17:48 | Speaker 1:

And will, to the best of my ability, preserve, protect, and defend the Constitution of the United States. Preserve, protect, and defend the Constitution of the United States. So help you God? So help me God. Congratulations, Mr. President.

00:17:50 - 00:18:55 | Speaker 3:

Also, it was the year that some bad Jack Black movie came out. What? Called Year One. We shall grasp the foreskins of our penises. I cannot. We shall cut their front. By the way, the word just foreskin sounds bad, doesn't it? I don't think I have any extra. That is nasty. That is hilarious. John, what year was that? 2009. Give it to him! Yes, John! Grasp. Yours and win a prize. Congratulations to you, buddy. Thank you. How much force can we work with, John? As you get older, it gets a little bit, you got to go to Planet Fitness to make it better. You said way too much. Congratulations to you, buddy. We got a pair of tickets for you to go to our sister station, FM 98 WJLB's Big Show starring Sexy Red, Gorilla, Tee Grizzly, and more. It's happening on January the 19th. Tickets are on sale at Ticketmaster.com. Congratulations to you, man.

00:18:55 - 00:18:59 | Speaker 2:

Kevin, did he say Gorilla? Who is it?

00:18:59 - 00:19:05 | Speaker 3:

Or Glorilla. Glorilla. I don't know. Wasn't there an alternative band named Gorilla? It was. They would not be.

00:19:06 - 00:19:08 | Speaker 2:

They have fire anime videos.

00:19:09 - 00:19:13 | Speaker 3:

Who's Glorilla? Big Glow. Okay. From Mirfush and Shi. All right.

00:19:14 - 00:19:15 | Speaker 2:

That's how she taught it. From Mirfush.

00:19:18 - 00:19:38 | Speaker 3:

Here's two I know. Here's two I know. So Jelly Roll and Post Malone are going to be at Ford Field on May the 18th. We've got tickets for you, a chance for you to win right now when you text, you know what, let's do a Post song, Better. Text Better, B-E-T-T-E-R for the song Better Now. That took you.

00:19:38 - 00:19:39 | Speaker 1:

You had to think about that.

00:19:39 - 00:19:45 | Speaker 3:

Text that right now to 95500. I've got to think about everything, by the way, today. That Lions game. Text it. Text it right now.

00:19:46 - 00:19:48 | Speaker 4:

Mojo in the Morning's Dirty on the 30.

00:19:48 - 00:19:59 | Speaker 3:

I have a quick question as we start today. How many people are going to blame us, me and Brian specifically, that listener, for the loss yesterday that the Lions faced?

00:20:00 - 00:20:00 | Speaker 4:

I warned you.

00:20:01 - 00:20:14 | Speaker 5:

I know you did. No, we're not taking this. But I left it up to everybody on what we should do. And then we had to do the coin flip. And we gave away the tickets on Thursday instead of Friday. And I think we screwed our luck up. We screwed the pooch.

00:20:15 - 00:20:25 | Speaker 3:

But it was a tough, tough game to watch yesterday. 48 to 42. I couldn't even wear my Hawaiian shirt in today. It was.

00:20:26 - 00:20:28 | Speaker 5:

I know. I was thinking about the same thing.

00:20:28 - 00:20:28 | Speaker 3:

It was so sad.

00:20:28 - 00:20:39 | Speaker 1:

Yeah. Nothing changed from whether we won or lost today. We still got to win next week. I mean, that's the bottom line. So we got to bounce back and get ready to roll.

00:20:39 - 00:20:51 | Speaker 3:

So our Lions have already booked their playoff ticket, but against a potential Super Bowl contender, this was a test that they needed to pass, and we failed our Super Bowl audition. And Coach D.M. Campbell blames himself.

00:20:52 - 00:21:13 | Speaker 1:

You know, and ultimately, you know, it's like I told the team, man. I didn't have those guys ready to go. Not like that. You know, not when you're playing a team like that. And, you know, that's with me, man. You know, I have a number of guys that, you know, have played a lot better than that, just overall. And so that tells me.

00:21:13 - 00:21:18 | Speaker 5:

What did you think of the Dan Gamble onside kick thing, the first one? What did you think of that?

00:21:18 - 00:21:31 | Speaker 4:

My hands were tied. Yeah, I feel like in that situation where you can't stop the ball, you got to try to figure out a way to get the ball back and score more points. It just sucks that it didn't go our way. The second one, honestly, was a great onside kick.

00:21:31 - 00:21:48 | Speaker 5:

And I thought that they got it back with 12 seconds left. And I thought, okay, there's at least a miracle chance. But I thought that the first one, it wasn't a great Bates kick. And I know he would never blame him for that. But also the defense, you know, our special teams looked horrible trying to defend that.

00:21:48 - 00:22:01 | Speaker 4:

In those situations where Dan Campbell comes out at the end of the game and takes all the blame, I wonder, is that all just give my guys confidence and take the heat off of them? Or does he honestly feel like there were adjustments that he could have made? I think he does.

00:22:01 - 00:22:13 | Speaker 5:

Or things they could have did during the week. I used to think he was just talking, you know, coaches speak. But I really do think that this guy takes it hard. And I'll tell you what the true test is going to be this morning when he goes and gets his Starbucks coffee.

00:22:13 - 00:22:14 | Speaker 3:

I was going to say, he's got to have his...

00:22:14 - 00:22:22 | Speaker 2:

No victory coffee today, though. It's got to be something else. I don't think we're also talking about how close the game was with how injured we are.

00:22:22 - 00:22:24 | Speaker 5:

Yes, that's the point.

00:22:24 - 00:22:30 | Speaker 2:

The fact that it was that close with 13 players down is what's been volumes about this team.

00:22:31 - 00:22:33 | Speaker 5:

Buffalo had a ton of defensive players out, too.

00:22:33 - 00:22:40 | Speaker 2:

Lost another guy during the game last night, and we're still fiercely competitive during these big games.

00:22:40 - 00:23:07 | Speaker 3:

Taking on the Chicago Bears again on Sunday. Jamie Foxx needed to get stitches after he was hit with a glass while at a restaurant with his family over the weekend. So he was celebrating his birthday. He turned 57, and I'm getting different stories here. I don't have you sound like you heard this story. There's one story I heard that he got into a confrontation with another customer, and then another person is telling me, no, Jamie was just on the receiving end of this person being an a-hole, essentially.

00:23:07 - 00:23:10 | Speaker 5:

And I heard that they were in a fight with somebody at their table.

00:23:10 - 00:24:39 | Speaker 3:

Correct, yeah. And then the person threw a glass, which hit Jamie Foxx in the mouth. He needed to get stitches. So far, no arrests have been made. But still, what a crappy situation. Diddy has voluntarily dropped his bail appeal and will now remain in jail well past his court date in May. I don't know why they keep saying July to me. I think he's going to be in jail for a while rather than that. But he's been in federal jail since September 16th. He's been denied bail multiple times. And again, if found guilty, he faces 15 years to life in prison. And lastly, have you guys seen these cars that are all covered with, like, the Christmas lights? Yes, yes. They're totally covered and they're taped on with that blue tape. Well, just a heads up, not only will that ruin your car because, no, that tape is not safe for car paint, but also you will get pulled over if the cops spot you. A driver just pulled over in Wyoming yesterday with their car covered in Christmas lights. It was a Ford Mustang pulled over by a trooper who noticed that the car was totally covered in colorful lights for the holidays. because how could you not but police are reminding people that you cannot drive or move any vehicle or equipment on any highway with any lamp or device capable of displaying a red or blue light visible from either the top or the center or the front of the car which is if you've got christmas

00:24:39 - 00:24:53 | Speaker 2:

lights on your car that's your entire car so i was surprised that you brought this up because this is the first year i didn't decorate my car and i've never been pulled over but i only decorate the back wheel i drive a wrangler and i decorate my back wheel like a wreath i like that yeah so

00:24:53 - 00:25:04 | Speaker 3:

this is like if somebody in front of you sees red or blue lights in their rear window Then that's when it's illegal. Yeah. All right. For all of today's Dirty Catch-Up on the Podcast

What's going on, Rochelle? How are you?

00:25:34 - 00:25:36 | Speaker 3:

Hi, how are you?

00:25:36 - 00:25:42 | Speaker 1:

Doing okay, Rochelle. I got a little bit of the Lions Lost Blues, which I haven't felt in 11 weeks.

00:25:44 - 00:25:47 | Speaker 2:

You know, it was so sad, and the first thing I thought about was you guys.

00:25:48 - 00:25:50 | Speaker 1:

Yes. Are we taking the blame?

00:25:51 - 00:26:07 | Speaker 3:

And it really broke my heart. You definitely are. Do we get the blame on this one here? First of all, first time long time. Hey. She was on the phone. Welcome. I've been listening to you guys since I was in high school. I love 955.

00:26:07 - 00:26:08 | Speaker 1:

Oh, we love you. Thank you.

00:26:09 - 00:26:13 | Speaker 3:

But you guys did make me sad last week. I didn't even call in to try to get the tickets. No.

00:26:14 - 00:26:18 | Speaker 1:

Oh, my God. So we're taking full blame for this one here, huh?

00:26:18 - 00:26:21 | Speaker 3:

As you should. 1,000%.

00:26:21 - 00:26:25 | Speaker 1:

Oh, that is not nice of you. Come on, show us a little bit more respect than this.

00:26:26 - 00:26:34 | Speaker 3:

You have to listen to Megan. Seriously, she knows what she's talking about. Oh, I love you. Give her another prize. No, no, now you're way out there.

00:26:34 - 00:26:38 | Speaker 1:

Now you're talking crazy speak. We can't have you do that. That is not nice.

00:26:39 - 00:26:43 | Speaker 3:

Seriously. Oh, man. Somebody pull that audio. I love you guys, though.

00:26:43 - 00:26:44 | Speaker 1:

Oh, we love you, too. Thank you.

00:26:44 - 00:26:46 | Speaker 3:

I'm telling you. I love you.

00:26:46 - 00:26:50 | Speaker 1:

All right, you take care of yourself. Mary, what's up? It's Mojo in the morning. What's going on?

00:26:50 - 00:27:03 | Speaker 4:

hey um i just wanted to say to um uh shannon she said that um she couldn't wear her lion's gear today um i just want to let her know like you support your team whether you that is true

00:27:03 - 00:27:10 | Speaker 3:

i agree with you i just said it made me sad that's all i am always a supporter

00:27:10 - 00:27:25 | Speaker 1:

although i'm running out of lion's gear i'm running out i got you know i think i have i think i looked in there i think i have more lion's gear than any of our other teams and and it was only until this year that I had it because I wouldn't be caught dead with a lion sweatshirt on years past.

00:27:25 - 00:27:28 | Speaker 4:

Oh, no, no, no, no. Well, then I guess you're not a true fan.

00:27:28 - 00:27:39 | Speaker 1:

Well, no, no, no, no. No, a true fan literally was put through like I was, having to go see psychiatric help for so many years.

00:27:39 - 00:27:44 | Speaker 3:

A true fan wore lion's gear and a paper bag on their head to go in 16 seasons. That is true, yeah. Come on, come on.

00:27:44 - 00:27:49 | Speaker 1:

That is definitely a true fan. All right. It's Mojo in the Mornings, 5 at 6.55.

00:27:49 - 00:27:58 | Speaker 3:

Our reigning champ, Dallas, is going for 13 today.

00:27:59 - 00:28:11 | Speaker 1:

Will it be lucky or unlucky for her? And she's also going to be going on her honeymoon this week. She inches towards 15, and let's see how she does this morning. Good morning, Dallas. How are you? Are you all packed, ready for your little trip?

00:28:12 - 00:28:18 | Speaker 3:

Good morning, guys. No, I'm actually going to pack today. I'm going to start packing today. All right.

00:28:18 - 00:28:26 | Speaker 1:

And we're hoping that John Tay is not going to be making you pack today in another way. John Tay, are you there?

00:28:27 - 00:28:27 | Speaker 2:

Yep, I'm here.

00:28:28 - 00:28:30 | Speaker 1:

Say hello, Dallas, to John Tay.

00:28:31 - 00:28:34 | Speaker 2:

Hello, hello. Hello, Dallas, how are you?

00:28:34 - 00:28:38 | Speaker 1:

I'm going to lock you up in a soundproof area. Enough of the niceties. You don't really care, do you, John Tay?

00:28:39 - 00:28:39 | Speaker 2:

You are.

00:28:40 - 00:28:53 | Speaker 1:

If she hit him with the rock bottom, I'm going to die. We're going to begin this contest here. Five pop culture trivia questions. Whoever gets the most right wins. Ty always goes to the champion. Jontae, it says here, you're from Detroit. What side of town?

00:28:54 - 00:28:58 | Speaker 2:

Westside. Yeah, yeah. Westside. Westside to bedside.

00:28:58 - 00:29:03 | Speaker 1:

Okay, yep, I'm ready.

00:29:05 - 00:29:17 | Speaker 1:

00:29:44 - 00:29:45 | Speaker 2:

Oh, God.

00:29:45 - 00:29:47 | Speaker 1:

Jennifer what? Jennifer what? Three seconds.

00:29:48 - 00:29:52 | Speaker 2:

Pass on that one. All right, let's bring back our champ. I don't think she did too bad. How did she do, Shannon? She got three out of five. All right, three out of five is what you got to be today, Dallas. All right. All right, question number one. Taylor Swift celebrated a milestone birthday last week. How old did she turn? Did she turn A, 30, B, 35, or C, 40?

00:30:59 - 00:31:02 | Speaker 2:

00:31:04 - 00:31:17 | Speaker 1:

00:32:59 - 00:33:10 | Speaker 1:

All right, it is the Mojo in the Mornings show. KP's out with a breaking and entering Christmas wish. KP is Principal Trice with you right now, my good friend.

00:33:11 - 00:33:12 | Speaker 2:

She is. Hi, Mojo.

00:33:13 - 00:33:14 | Speaker 1:

How are you there, beautiful lady?

00:33:15 - 00:33:17 | Speaker 2:

I'm good. How are you?

00:33:17 - 00:33:32 | Speaker 1:

Good. When I think of principals, I always think, oh, God, I never want to get called down to the principal's office. Your guys are stern, you're enforcers, you keep the rules. But you have a heart? I can't believe that you guys have hearts. When I...

00:33:33 - 00:33:36 | Speaker 2:

Listen. Listen. I'm sorry to keep that out.

00:33:37 - 00:33:40 | Speaker 1:

I shouldn't tell anybody, right? Should I keep it quiet? No, don't.

00:33:40 - 00:34:01 | Speaker 2:

You gotta keep it quiet. I still have to be tough. I don't want them to know I'm sorry. You know what she just did? What's that? She just called the grandma and said that school was delayed, the buses are delayed, and she was squatting behind the car right in front of their house so that she wouldn't see that she was outside. That's the dedication we're talking about here.

00:34:01 - 00:34:28 | Speaker 1:

So this woman, KP, you are right. She is dedicated, and she's awesome. We've got another situation where grandma's raising her grandkids, and this principal is also helping, too, because she's noticed that these kids have been without, and you've dipped into your own pockets to make sure that these kids have everything that they need. And I'm going to say this to you. As a parent, I want my kids to be educated by somebody like you. And I thank you for that.

00:34:28 - 00:34:31 | Speaker 2:

Oh, thank you. No, thank you. You guys are awesome.

00:34:32 - 00:35:10 | Speaker 1:

This morning's wish is going to bring some tears to you. So get the Kleenex ready. And I think that we all ran out from last week, Friday's wish. But here we go. Lydia, can we dial up Grandma? 00:35:59 - 00:36:01 | Speaker 2:

Oh, my God.

00:36:02 - 00:36:02 | Speaker 1:

Here, take a listen.

00:36:02 - 00:37:32 | Speaker 2:

Dear Mojo in the morning, my name is Felicia Trice, and I am the principal of Pleasant View Elementary. I'm writing to ask for a breaking and entering Christmas wish to be granted to Miss Andrea Lee. Ms. Lee is the grandmother of Adrian, Erin, Chantez, Ariel, and Ariana. She is a hardworking grandparent that had to abruptly take custody of these five beautiful children. The first time I met her, my heart went out to her. As her life changed, and she is no longer just the grandmother of these five beautiful babies, but now their caregiver. She needs our support. She works tirelessly for 12-plus hours every day to provide for the children while always making sure the babies get off the school and keeping food on the table. She said to me the other day, Principal Trice, I just want to be able to get the kids a little something for Christmas. Mojo, I am a long-time listener, and I know that if anyone can help this family for the holidays with food, clothing, toys, and bedding, I know it is you and your team. Whatever you can do would be so greatly appreciated. Thank you for all you do. Sincerely, Principal Felicia Trice.

00:37:33 - 00:37:34 | Unknown:

Wow.

00:37:34 - 00:37:39 | Speaker 1:

Wow. That was all about you?

00:37:39 - 00:37:54 | Speaker 5:

You have an incredible friend in principle, Felicia, don't you? She's such a beautiful lady. She's your angel. She is your angel. Wow.

00:37:55 - 00:38:10 | Speaker 1:

When you hear the things that she's asking of you, they're things that everybody should have. You should be able to have all of that. She's not asking much. And that's why we want to help you out. And that's why we're knocking on your door right now.

00:38:10 - 00:38:21 | Speaker 4:

Good morning. Good morning. Oh, my God. Oh, my goodness. Hi. Oh, what's this over here?

00:38:22 - 00:38:24 | Speaker 1:

Grandma, that is KP.

00:38:24 - 00:38:56 | Speaker 4:

Hi, Katz. Hi. Oh, my God. I got my teeth in. Oh, my God. This is... Oh, my gosh. Oh, my God, you guys. Thank you.

00:38:57 - 00:39:22 | Speaker 1:

Grandma, this is our Mojo in the Morning program that we do every year called Breaking and Entering Christmas Wish. and we are bringing Christmas to you and your beautiful grandbabies. Through the help of Principal Trice, we want to make sure that you are covered this Christmas and that you guys can all have smiles on your face knowing that this town loves you.

00:39:25 - 00:39:28 | Speaker 3:

We've got two truckloads for you coming. Truckloads.

00:39:30 - 00:39:36 | Speaker 4:

More beer, please. No coffee. Oh, my gosh. Grandma, don't pass out.

00:39:36 - 00:39:46 | Speaker 3:

You guys thought the bus was late. No, I'm bringing you Christmas. Pull it out my driveway. We saw you. Who is that?

00:39:46 - 00:39:53 | Speaker 5:

She's holding herself up. You can watch on Facebook Live. She's so sweet. What is that?

00:39:55 - 00:39:59 | Speaker 3:

Grandma. They're all hugging the principal right now. All the kids are piling out. They're hugging.

00:40:00 - 00:40:04 | Speaker 4:

That's right. Who does he talk about all the time?

00:40:06 - 00:40:09 | Speaker 2:

The grandbabies are, for our listeners, as young as four.

00:40:09 - 00:40:14 | Speaker 4:

Four, six, eight, ten, eleven, and twelve.

00:40:15 - 00:40:23 | Speaker 2:

And every single one of them is going to get everything that was on their Christmas list from Breaking and Entering Christmas Wish.

00:40:25 - 00:40:39 | Speaker 4:

We got everything on your list. Oh, my God. We can start piling this. Can we take some of these gifts in your house? Oh, my goodness.

00:40:40 - 00:40:41 | Speaker 2:

Grandma.

00:40:43 - 00:40:45 | Speaker 4:

Grandma, here we go. Mo just got a question for you.

00:40:45 - 00:41:01 | Speaker 2:

You know, the job of raising kids is never done once you have those kids and those kids grow old. You're always there, right, as grandma. And I know it's the greatest gift in the world that you have to be a grandma. Those babies are so blessed to have you in their life.

00:41:02 - 00:41:16 | Speaker 4:

Thank you so much. And I'm so blessed to have my grandkids. I love them with all my heart. And I try, I try, I try to do my best for them.

00:41:17 - 00:41:34 | Speaker 1:

There's nothing like a grandma's love. And even if we weren't there today, the fact that you were there and the fact that you are who you are with the heart that you have is the biggest gift that anyone can receive. You are their grandmother. And you're there for a reason. It's a reason why you're there.

00:41:35 - 00:41:36 | Speaker 3:

Keeping the family together.

00:41:38 - 00:41:38 | Unknown:

Yeah.

00:41:41 - 00:41:42 | Speaker 2:

On top of...

00:41:42 - 00:41:52 | Speaker 4:

You can see just the love in this house. The coffee table covered with photos of family. They've got their Christmas tree up. We're putting all the gifts under the tree.

00:41:52 - 00:41:53 | Speaker 2:

Oh, that's beautiful.

00:41:53 - 00:42:01 | Speaker 4:

We may need to spice this tree up just a bit, but. Oh, my God, you guys.

00:42:01 - 00:42:15 | Speaker 2:

You can decide, Grandma, because you're the boss. We all know this. You decide when those kids get to open up all those gifts. They can open them up today or open them up on Christmas Day. But Santa has arrived at your house.

00:42:16 - 00:42:36 | Speaker 4:

You guys, this is. I'm overwhelmed. Thank you so much. Everybody. And we didn't just get stuff for the kids. We got stuff for you, too, Grandma. I don't need anything, you guys. I don't. I thank you guys so much. And I'm talking to a radio personality.

00:42:37 - 00:42:44 | Speaker 3:

Wait a second. It's us saying we're talking to Andrea. It's the other way around.

00:42:44 - 00:42:49 | Speaker 4:

I've been talking to a radio personality in, like, 30 years. I want something off the radio.

00:42:49 - 00:42:55 | Speaker 2:

White Castle. Oh, did you really? For real. Who did you win that from 30 years ago? I want to know.

00:42:55 - 00:43:16 | Speaker 4:

30 years ago. Maybe it was. And my sister, she won $1,000, and I got mad. I called back, and I won White Castle. White Castle. I said White Castle. White Castle. I want the White Castle. He was on the toilet. I do not. I do not. Thank you, guys, from the bottom of my heart. This is overwhelming. I'm overwhelmed.

00:43:16 - 00:43:27 | Speaker 2:

I want the listeners to know what you guys did for this family, because our listeners donate and give to us here for this. We got gifts for every single one of them. Every kid's going to get the toys that they want on their Santa list.

00:43:28 - 00:43:40 | Speaker 3:

From iPads to Barbie Dream Houses to Nintendo Switches, all new bedding, all new clothes, warm, warm clothes. We got you guys all, including you, Grandma, matching Nike Dunks.

00:43:41 - 00:43:45 | Speaker 2:

Really? That's all about Grandma. You're going to be a cool grandma.

00:43:46 - 00:43:47 | Speaker 3:

Oh, my God.

00:43:49 - 00:44:01 | Speaker 4:

Our friends at Kroger are going to make sure that your home is full of all the food that grandma loves to make.

00:44:02 - 00:44:29 | Speaker 2:

And they will have it for you with hundreds of dollars in gift cards. We got gas cards. Our friends, Mike Sarrafo over at Great Clips, are going to provide you with all the haircuts for the kids, facials for grandma from Aesthetica. and I do want to mention this, that we're going to write you a check so that you can put money into your account so that you don't have to worry about whatever your kids need they're going to get from Grandma, okay?

00:44:31 - 00:44:36 | Speaker 4:

Wow, I only had $7 in the bank. Thank you so much. Oh, my God.

00:44:37 - 00:44:42 | Speaker 2:

Principal Trice, you love this woman more than anything, and these kids mean so much to you.

00:44:42 - 00:44:59 | Speaker 4:

i love i love these kids they are they are some amazing kids and they just crazy you needed to see that someone was here to help grandma principal

00:45:00 - 00:45:12 | Speaker 5:

So, Trice, you are a godsend. You are incredible. You are the definition of what an educator should be. Your job doesn't just stop once the bell rings, but you answer the call. God bless you, Brice and Trice.

00:45:12 - 00:45:25 | Speaker 6:

Thank you, Terrence. Thank you so much. This is, I'm overwhelmed. I'm just sitting right here. I'm overwhelmed, you guys. I don't know what to say.

00:45:25 - 00:45:26 | Speaker 5:

Don't say anything.

00:45:27 - 00:45:27 | Speaker 6:

Just enjoy.

00:45:27 - 00:45:40 | Speaker 3:

KP, let's make it Christmas in here. Can we do Merry Christmas on the count of three? Ready? One, two, three. Merry Christmas!

00:45:42 - 00:45:57 | Speaker 6:

Wow, you see all this? We don't even have any room for all of this. What if we don't put it in the kitchen? No! No, they don't put it.

00:45:57 - 00:46:10 | Speaker 5:

Can we do something real quick? Because both Principal Trice and Grandma both said first time, long time. So let's do one for Principal Trice. Principal Trice.

00:46:10 - 00:46:14 | Speaker 6:

Principal Trice. All right.

00:46:14 - 00:46:16 | Speaker 5:

And Grandma now.

00:46:16 - 00:46:17 | Speaker 6:

Grandma.

00:46:19 - 00:47:39 | Speaker 5:

You got to love it. Those guys are so beautiful. Videos up for all of our breaking in and Christmas wishes. and we got to thank all the people that help us with this too. Every single year, we have so much help that comes in and our friends from Swift Home Loans came in on Friday. They did not want to disclose how much they gave us, but it was a lot, I'll tell you that. And it's the reason why we're able to this year grant more wishes than ever before. So thank you to those guys that helped with that. RSL Medical Marketing and our friends, Ryan, Samantha Lash, Imagine Theaters, We love them so much. They're like spectacular. They come through for us every single year. Planet Fitness, I know, is coming in this week. So we got a great donation from Planet Fitness. We're so excited about that. We're still taking donations? You know what? If you guys feel that any of these wishes have really touched you, we would love for you to go to mojoswish.org. And can I tell you, every time we do these, we always get people that will go, I can relate to that family. The one on Friday that we did with the police officer and the teachers, Mom Holly, I mean, her just tears that poured up. First off, the news covered that. Did you see that over the weekend? It was all over the news about that family.

00:47:40 - 00:47:48 | Speaker 2:

And just a reminder, you don't have to donate $100 or $1,000. You can donate $5 by going to mojoswish.org. We make it really easy for you.

00:47:48 - 00:47:59 | Speaker 5:

And if you don't have money to donate, no worries. We want to donate and help you. So this is our thing of everybody kind of pulling together and making sure that we are always there for each other.

00:48:01 - 00:48:09 | Speaker 6:

Frankly, all the media picking the Lions to lose can kiss all our asses. Go Lions, baby. This is Mojo in the Morning.

00:48:09 - 00:48:38 | Speaker 5:

Yeah, we'll have more Lions tickets this week, and we will appropriately give them away Friday, just so you know that. Right now we've got another trip to Florida. You want to go to Florida? 00:48:39 - 00:48:47 | Speaker 6:

Getting ghosted sucks. Second date update is at 820 on Mojo in the Morning. Mojo in the Morning's Dirty on the 30.

00:48:48 - 00:48:53 | Speaker 5:

Let's get you caught up on what's trending this morning in the Dirty on the 30s, the big weekend. What's going on, Chad?

00:48:53 - 00:49:22 | Speaker 2:

Yeah, I want you to note the content of this first story if you have little ears around. The woman who accused Jay-Z and Diddy of raping her when she was just 13 years old is now sharing some details about the night that the alleged assault happened. This woman is now 38 years old. She lives in Alabama, and she said she's been quiet for all this time because she felt like nobody would believe her and her story. She sat down with NBC News over the weekend.

00:49:22 - 00:49:30 | Speaker 4:

At the after party, she says she had a drink that made her feel woozy. Then she says Combs and Carter took turns raping her while a female celebrity watched.

00:49:30 - 00:49:51 | Speaker 1:

D.C. comes in and rapes me. Well, he's, well, he, at that point, I was fighting, trying to get away from him. And he put his hand over my mouth and told me to stop it, cut, you know, stop it, cut the s**t.

00:49:52 - 00:50:00 | Speaker 2:

Said she couldn't get into the actual MTV VMAs, but a limo driver who claimed to work for Diddy said.

00:50:00 - 00:50:12 | Speaker 4:

he would take her to this this after party i stumbled upon diddy's driver who told me that i was exactly what diddy was looking for what did you think when he said that to you i thought it

00:50:12 - 00:50:18 | Speaker 3:

meant that i was just pretty she went to a white house she says where she spoke to musicians benji

00:50:18 - 00:50:33 | Speaker 4:

madden and his brother i'm talking to benji madden about his tattoo because you know i have a really is about his tattoo that's the Last Supper because I have a religious background. So it was

00:50:33 - 00:50:43 | Speaker 3:

just something to talk about. In a statement to NBC News, a representative of the Maddens confirmed that they did not attend the 2000 VMAs and that they were on tour in the Midwest at the

00:50:43 - 00:51:55 | Speaker 2:

time. After the alleged incident, this woman says she ran to a gas station and called her dad who picked her up. Another inconsistency in her story. Dad said he does not remember making that hours long drive to pick her up now again jay-z diddy both denying this woman's claim um and jay-z reacting to the inconsistencies the mistakes in this woman's recollection of the allegations he shared a statement this weekend that reads in part today's investigative report proves that attorney busby and that was in quotations filed a false complaint against me in the pursuit of money and fame this incident didn't happen and yet he filed it in court and doubled down in the press. Jay-Z continues, true justice is coming. We fight from victory, not for victory. And get this while we're talking about this story. Karen Friedman Agnefilo, she is the high-powered lawyer hired by UnitedHealthcare murder suspect Luigi Mangione. Do you know she's married to none other than Mark Agnefilo, who has been representing Diddy as he battles all of these allegations. So just like a little tie there to two big stories we're talking about.

00:51:55 - 00:52:30 | Speaker 1:

You know what is weird, too, is that she just got hired on and she was a CNN correspondent and literally their correspondent who is giving all the information about the defense and what they would do and all this stuff. So a lot of people have laid out that her defense will be of this Luigi guy will be that it's insanity. And that's the only way that you can say that, you know, he's ever going to be able to be defendable. New York, they say, has already started trying this case before a grand jury, even though he hasn't even gotten extradited to New York. But they're thinking that today is going to be the day.

00:52:30 - 00:52:31 | Speaker 2:

Okay, from Pennsylvania.

00:52:31 - 00:52:41 | Speaker 1:

That Luigi is going to. It's weird. There are people calling for you not to say his name because they feel like he's become too famous for his murder.

00:52:41 - 00:53:30 | Speaker 2:

but uh justin timberlake had a little bit of a wardrobe malfunction during his show in nashville on friday night so he was performing at the very famous bridgestone arena when all eyes were on his crotch area as a harness held him up from like his waves so the camera in the arena and also on everybody's iphones zoomed in for a closer look because of course his crotch area is showcased as the harness was tugging very awkwardly at his shirt and he was like trying to take his shirt and cover because he knew what was going on social media was not very nice to justin timberlake some of the comments included he's bringing micro back no another one said no wonder jessica beale be

00:53:30 - 00:53:38 | Speaker 1:

looking miserable wait are they saying that he's got a small one find your penis for a dollar Find your penis, $1, $1, $1, find your penis, find your penis here.

00:53:38 - 00:54:38 | Speaker 2:

Hey, I'm Justin Timberlake, and this is Detroit's Mojo in the Morning Out. And lastly, women are swearing they've never been hit on more after swapping their heels for hoodies. A now viral trend that started on TikTok, of course, encourages women to dress comfortably on a night out. And it just might be the secret to finding the perfect man. And ladies are reporting they've never been approached more on a night out when they're wearing sweat. And according to Jamie Bronstein, she's a relationship therapist based in California. Dressing in comfortable clothing can absolutely attract a quote unquote better type of man. But she said, here's the thing. Don't go overboard. Showing up in a sweatsuit and hiking boots will not do the trick. You need to kind of be smart about like maybe a sweatshirt and comfy pants. You don't need like gross tennis shoes to finish off your look or anything like that. But she said casual clothes can make people feel more confident, and it's that exuded confidence that attracts dudes.

00:54:38 - 00:54:46 | Speaker 1:

Every guy loves when a girl wears their hoodie, right? Yeah. When a girl's putting their clothes on. I think that's usually. I think so. Yeah.

00:54:46 - 00:54:55 | Speaker 3:

I also think it makes us more approachable. Like, if a girl's super dressed up and you're not, you're thinking, like, oh, like, that's not the vibe for the evening. Yeah.

00:54:56 - 00:54:59 | Speaker 2:

I'd rather be in sweat. Same. Anywhere I go. All the time.

00:54:59 - 00:55:03 | Speaker 3:

00:56:15 - 00:56:24 | Speaker 1:

Hang on one sec. You're hanging out in Imlay City, one of my favorite places to drive through. I love that. I'm just kidding. It's a great place.

00:56:24 - 00:56:25 | Speaker 4:

Don't take that.

00:56:25 - 00:56:29 | Speaker 1:

It is. No, no, no, no, no. You guys are great out there. We love you for listening. Thank you so much.

00:56:30 - 00:56:31 | Speaker 4:

Thank you.

00:56:31 - 00:56:43 | Speaker 1:

We come in loud and clear. I always say that if there was ever the world coming to an end, I'm moving to Emily City because you could do all the canning. What is it? What is it used to do?

00:56:43 - 00:56:44 | Speaker 4:

Oh, yeah. Canning.

00:56:44 - 00:56:45 | Speaker 1:

Canning and stuff. Cheryl canning.

00:56:46 - 00:56:46 | Speaker 4:

What is that?

00:56:46 - 00:56:53 | Speaker 1:

You know how people were prepared for, you know, the end of the world. The apocalypse. The apocalypse, yeah.

00:56:53 - 00:56:54 | Speaker 2:

They call it canning?

00:56:54 - 00:57:00 | Speaker 4:

Yeah, well, when you, like, actually can your own food. Yeah. So it lasts years and years and years.

00:57:01 - 00:57:15 | Speaker 1:

Mojo in the Morning Show. Kev, kind of a scary moment took place. Here's the topic. Topic is, what did your kid put in their mouth, and what did they swallow? God forbid they swallowed, but what happened with Journey?

00:57:15 - 00:57:57 | Speaker 2:

Man, so just, thank God for Josiah. He was around. But so Jern was, Jern crawling. She all over the place, moving quickly, moving fast. She's like a little sonic head. So she in the room, she's in like the, our bedroom and I'm sitting on the couch and Josiah is, you know, playing with her, whatever case like that. And he yells out, Sherelle. And then Sherelle runs in there. I can hear him. She's like, what's going on? He's like, Journey got like a popcorn seed in her mouth. And I'm looking, Sherelle like is using her fingers to like go in her mouth and pull out the popcorn seed. So she pulls out the popcorn seed and she likes something else in here. She lifts under her tongue, and there's a penny in her mouth.

00:57:57 - 00:57:58 | Speaker 3:

Oh, no.

00:57:58 - 00:58:08 | Speaker 2:

Like a penny. She freaking out. Luckily, and thank God, nothing happened. She didn't swallow it or anything like that. But, like, who knows how long it was in there. Yeah. Thank God she didn't swallow it.

00:58:08 - 00:58:17 | Speaker 3:

She was close to, I imagine. This is the scary stage when they're crawling, and it's like nothing is off limits. Yeah. And anything they find, they put in their mouth. Yeah.

00:58:17 - 00:58:17 | Unknown:

Yeah.

00:58:18 - 00:58:27 | Speaker 3:

Oh, thank God she didn't swallow it. Right. Or I'd have to introduce you to the team at Children's Hospital of Michigan. Oh, no, I'm not trying to do that. Because I know them all well. Poor Smith, right?

00:58:28 - 00:58:29 | Speaker 1:

They are all lovely.

00:58:29 - 00:58:30 | Speaker 3:

Hi, Liz.

00:58:31 - 00:58:40 | Speaker 1:

And I would think that, I mean, the magnets that Smith got were really scary, but the penny is not good to be swallowing, right?

00:58:40 - 00:58:40 | Speaker 3:

Nothing's good.

00:58:41 - 00:58:43 | Speaker 4:

Well, the penny can, like, block your throat. That's so scary.

00:58:44 - 00:58:44 | Speaker 1:

For real?

00:58:45 - 00:58:45 | Speaker 4:

Yeah.

00:58:45 - 00:59:17 | Speaker 1:

Yeah. Especially the little ones like that. 844-MOJO-LIVE, 844-665-6548. I always say that kids and me put everything in their mouth. I, for some reason, I find myself putting things in my mouth all the freaking time. Like what? Well, like every pen. Don't ever use one of my Sharpies, because I guarantee you, my Sharpie, I've been sucking on that thing like a freaking lollipop, listening to Lil Wayne. But no, I put everything in my mouth. That I put in my mouth. I put my car keys in my mouth. I have my car keys. Oh, yeah.

00:59:18 - 00:59:19 | Speaker 4:

That's wild. Those are dirty.

00:59:19 - 00:59:27 | Speaker 1:

Look at me. I'm a fat guy. You put everything in your mouth. Scissors, I've put that in my mouth. You know, it's like, what are you doing? Scissors.

00:59:28 - 00:59:42 | Speaker 3:

Remember when we did the story a couple of years ago, and by the way, I still don't believe it, that people, hospitals were seeing an influx of people swallowing their toothbrushes. Come on, man. I swear on my life, it was a thing.

00:59:43 - 00:59:47 | Speaker 1:

And they get the gag reflex going, and it sucks it right in. No, I don't believe this.

00:59:47 - 00:59:53 | Speaker 4:

I didn't believe it either. How do you swallow a toothbrush? How do you go to the hospital and say, I swallowed a toothbrush?

00:59:54 - 00:59:55 | Speaker 1:

I'm telling you.

00:59:55 - 00:59:56 | Speaker 4:

At this point, you're like, this is how it ends.

00:59:58 - 01:00:05 | Speaker 1:

It happens because I. think what ends up happening is i think that the uh the people had that gag reflex that came on and

01:00:05 - 01:00:10 | Speaker 2:

when the gag reflex comes on it's not good i'm not brushing my teeth that well like my toothbrush is

01:00:10 - 01:00:27 | Speaker 3:

not that far in my mouth mine is i go back on my tongue so much because of that's where all the the smell comes from right see i brush my tongue but i'm not going down my throat like that no the moment i start to i'm like yeah this is a wrap i know that's when you keep going

01:00:27 - 01:00:42 | Speaker 1:

i like your style wait all right guys it's monday it is early on a monday i'm sorry that's what she said what's up britney hi hi good morning what did your kid swallow

01:00:42 - 01:02:00 | Speaker 6:

so well the story was really scary then it's kind of funny now but he was probably about like three and a half four he comes like rushing to me like holding his neck and i'm kind of like what is happening well i realized he's choking now i'm panicking because i'm pretty confident i don't know the hind leg i'm like do i call an ambulance um i'm tripping out so finally he catches his breath and i assess that we're we're okay he did swallow something but we're okay we don't need an ambulance and i'm like what did you swallow well do you know like the like the weird at the bottom of things like or like kind of a marble shape but they're like flat you like put flowers over top of them yeah yeah like a glass thing so he kept telling me he's like that infinity stone and i was like the what and he's like the infinity stone he was like obsessed with like marvel and i finally figured out he was acting like he had swallowed like you know the stone from the uh thanos's uh his hand or his uh fist thing yeah so he had swallowed one of those marbles but he thought he was gonna turn into the freaking thanos oh my god that's him i'd walk

01:02:00 - 01:02:06 | Speaker 1:

around just snap what did you do did you have to wait for it to pass yeah so i ended up taking

01:02:06 - 01:02:16 | Speaker 6:

the urgent care and they took a x-ray it was already like making its way through like his small intestine so they were pretty confident that it would make its way through fast but and

01:02:16 - 01:02:21 | Speaker 1:

then you had to do what shannon did and have to look at the poopy for a week uh friday to friday

01:02:21 - 01:02:36 | Speaker 2:

man you guys a doctor friend of mine just texted me hi rad and she said i had to take a toothbrush out of a stomach once it happens you guys he's gotta call what's up amory hey good morning good

01:02:36 - 01:03:08 | Speaker 5:

morning what did your son swallow so he was about five years old we were at a play date everyone was playing in the garage and all of a sudden we started to smell gasoline so we went into the garage the kids had got they were got into the gas can somehow and you know it's so strong you can smell it but I wasn't sure if he had swallowed it so I actually stuck my tongue in his mouth to see if I could taste the gasoline to figure out if he had swallowed it. And he had, so he had to call poison control.

01:03:09 - 01:03:10 | Speaker 1:

Oh, my God. Oh, my goodness.

01:03:10 - 01:03:10 | Speaker 3:

For both of you.

01:03:11 - 01:03:18 | Speaker 1:

Wow. Wait, you stuck your, you had to stick your tongue in his mouth to taste it. You couldn't just smell it?

01:03:18 - 01:03:31 | Speaker 5:

Yeah, because he was so strong. You could smell, I could smell it everywhere. I know, but if you smell it, what are you sticking your tongue in his mouth for? To see if I could actually taste the taste of the gasoline. Girlfriend, no.

01:03:31 - 01:03:38 | Speaker 1:

That's her son, right? Yeah, that's her son. Okay. All right. Well, okay. Well, thank you for the call, Emory. Hi, Amanda. What's going on?

01:03:38 - 01:03:38 | Speaker 3:

Where are they from?

01:03:39 - 01:03:42 | Speaker 7:

Hi. Kentucky. Hi, how are you? Good morning.

01:03:42 - 01:03:42 | Speaker 1:

What's up?

01:03:43 - 01:04:16 | Speaker 7:

I got a taste of it. Okay, so I had just given my two-year-old daughter a bath, and, you know, she's a runner, so I'm trying to put lotion on her, and I'm like, what can I give her to distract her? So I took my ring off of my thumb, and I'm like, here, hold this while she's laying down. I know where this is going. She's laying down on the ground. Yeah, she puts it in her mouth and then immediately goes straight down her throat, which I knew as soon as she put it in her mouth. Oh, God. So I, like, I jerked her up off of the ground and had to give her the baby Heimlich.

01:04:16 - 01:04:17 | Speaker 1:

Oh, my God.

01:04:17 - 01:04:19 | Speaker 7:

That is so scary. Flying out of her mouth.

01:04:20 - 01:04:25 | Speaker 1:

Oh, geez. By the way, girls with thumb rings. I always say that there's something with girls with thumb rings.

01:04:26 - 01:04:26 | Speaker 3:

It's hot, right?

01:04:27 - 01:04:27 | Speaker 1:

It's very hot. It is.

01:04:27 - 01:04:29 | Speaker 3:

Thank you. Really? Because I love thumb rings.

01:04:29 - 01:04:32 | Speaker 1:

I like the thumb ring thing. I don't know what it is.

01:04:32 - 01:04:33 | Speaker 3:

It's kind of neat.

01:04:33 - 01:04:42 | Speaker 1:

All right. Well, thank you for the call. We appreciate it. We got a toothbrush swallower here. What's up, Susan? Or Shannon, I'm sorry. Hi, Shannon.

01:04:43 - 01:04:51 | Speaker 4:

Hi. I wasn't a toothbrush. I woke up the one morning, and my two-year-old had eaten a whole tube of toothpaste. Oh, toothpaste. Oh, Lordy. Oh, my God.

01:04:51 - 01:04:54 | Speaker 1:

That's not going to do anything other than upset your stomach, right?

01:04:55 - 01:04:59 | Speaker 4:

Yeah, I had to call poison control to make sure that they were good, and they just said that he would probably just start puking.

01:05:00 - 01:05:01 | Speaker 1:

Oh, wow.

01:05:01 - 01:05:15 | Speaker 3:

You don't get like that red wine and blue poop? Patriotic. Or the blue sparkle. My other son would actually catch flies and eat them. Oh, my God. That is wild. Yeah. That's disgusting.

01:05:16 - 01:05:22 | Speaker 1:

That's crazy. By the way, the next time you take him to the dentist, did he have any cavities at all?

01:05:23 - 01:05:24 | Speaker 3:

He did not.

01:05:24 - 01:05:35 | Speaker 1:

That would be, can you imagine he swallows an entire thing of toothpaste and then comes back with like five cavities. You're like, what the hell? Although he's just eating the stuff. I would eat everything. Did you guys ever eat Elmer's glue?

01:05:36 - 01:05:39 | Speaker 2:

Yeah. No. I didn't eat it. I would peel it off my fingers.

01:05:39 - 01:05:41 | Speaker 1:

But you would never put it in your mouth at all?

01:05:41 - 01:05:44 | Speaker 2:

Dude, rubber cement. Rubber cement was wild.

01:05:44 - 01:05:46 | Speaker 1:

Oh, yeah. Well, you sniff the rubber cement.

01:05:46 - 01:05:50 | Speaker 3:

Yeah, and then you would put a layer on your hand and then it would get all like bouncy and then you would chew on it like gum.

01:05:51 - 01:05:53 | Speaker 1:

Yeah. For some reason, I was like all your, all the stuff.

01:05:53 - 01:05:54 | Speaker 3:

Don't be surprised.

01:05:54 - 01:06:03 | Speaker 1:

And I remember we, I went to a Catholic school and it was literally all of us Catholic kids smelling markers the whole time. It's like, I'm done half the show.

01:06:04 - 01:06:06 | Speaker 3:

Oh, for sure. Yeah. I think my cribs had lead paint.

01:06:06 - 01:07:01 | Speaker 1:

Oh, it had to. Right? All right. Mojo in the morning show. This weekend, Chelsea and I went and did some mall shopping for the kids for Christmas. And so we went on Saturday. The mall was packed, by the way. I'm going to tell you, it was nuts. The lines were insanity. I couldn't believe how long some of the lines were. Can I talk about the Abercrombie a-hole place? Who is that? So we go into Abercrombie, which, by the way, Abercrombie, the line there, is so long. It wrapped all the way from the front of the store to the back of the store, which when I got to the front of the store, I'll explain why the line was so long. But the line was all the way in the back. And I said to Chelsea, I go, hey, wouldn't the smart thing be for me to stand in line, you go do the shopping. And then by the time you're done with all Luke's shopping of all of the shirts and things that he wants, we're up towards the front.

01:07:01 - 01:07:02 | Speaker 3:

You just didn't want to shop.

01:07:02 - 01:08:21 | Speaker 1:

No, honestly, no, I just didn't want to stand in my line. That's a divide and conquer. So I said this to her and she goes, well, here, here's one shirt. So at least you're not standing there with nothing and people get angry. So I go stand in line and the guy comes and stands right behind me. And then he says to me, he goes, hey, could you do me a favor? Could you hold my spot in line here for one second? I've got to go grab one more thing. I'm like, yeah, no problem. And then I'm on my phone. I even took a picture and posted it on our story and stuff because I'm like, look at this line, how long this line is. Waiting, waiting, waiting. Finally, Chelsea comes back, and the line's literally at least 25 minutes long. And this is probably 15 minutes into it. She comes up, and we're kind of getting closer and closer to the front. She has all of her stuff, and I'm standing there, standing there. Still no guy, by the way. I'm thinking he's gone. He left. Then he comes back with not one more item. He comes back with all of his items. He's got them all. What the guy ended up doing, and I think I got scammed with this whole deal, was he heard me say to Chelsea, I'll stand in line. He was by himself shopping. He didn't decide to himself, well, I'm going to make this guy stand in line for me. And then comes up and says, hey, man, thanks for holding my line. And I'm like, oh, everybody's kind of giving, like, grunting, groaning, like, what the hell's going on? The guy had me hold the line for him. Don't you think that's kind of an a-hole move?

01:08:21 - 01:08:24 | Speaker 2:

But would it have affected your time to get up to the cash?

01:08:24 - 01:08:51 | Speaker 1:

No, because he was behind me. But still, it affected everybody else. First off. And I'm like, and he didn't offer me anything. I didn't get anything offered to me. Like, not even a, he was, it was like, not even a thank you out of the whole deal. Are you the last person in line when he asks you to wait? No, at the time, I was the last person in line. Okay, okay. Yeah, so he got behind me. Got you. But then by the time that he jumped in line, there was at least 50 or 60 people that are standing in that line.

01:08:51 - 01:09:16 | Speaker 2:

I mean, I just, I call that smart. No. You think that's a smart move? No, I think you're a jerk. I do, because he would have been, his body would have been taking up that space. You did him a very nice Christmas favor. You did a good deed. You think that was a good deed on my part? I didn't want to do a good deed. He was by himself. He didn't have, maybe he didn't have a wife or a girlfriend. Oh, now you're going to try to get me. You're not going to get me. You're not going to get me. I already did Christmas list this morning. And you did him the biggest favor.

01:09:16 - 01:09:17 | Speaker 3:

No, I'm not going to do it.

01:09:17 - 01:09:18 | Speaker 1:

I don't care.

01:09:18 - 01:09:24 | Speaker 3:

No, if you get out of line. I'm not going to do it. I don't care. If you get out of line, you have to get back in line at the end. Yes.

01:09:25 - 01:09:31 | Speaker 2:

If I'm getting into line. Unless you have a friend. No. Saving your spot. No. I will always save a spot for you.

01:09:31 - 01:09:34 | Speaker 1:

So are you saying what I did was wrong, too, for holding the line for Chellis?

01:09:34 - 01:09:35 | Speaker 2:

I think you were in a... No.

01:09:36 - 01:09:38 | Speaker 1:

Because I was actually part of the whole process.

01:09:38 - 01:09:39 | Speaker 2:

See, he did the same thing.

01:09:39 - 01:09:59 | Speaker 1:

Am I the Abercrombie a-hole too? 844 Mojo Live, 844-665-6548. I'd love to know your thoughts on this one here. I'd like to know what you think about that. And then the other thing too is, does anybody have any stories of retail arguing in lines? I was in, what's the athleisure store? Is it out?

01:10:00 - 01:10:16 | Speaker 5:

Aloe, right? Oh, Aloe. I was in Aloe on Friday. Aloe, the place is insanity. It is. People are arguing with each other. I saw three Chaldean ladies that looked like they wanted to, like, you know, rip each other's eyeballs out over the spot and line that they had.

01:10:16 - 01:10:25 | Speaker 7:

Well, the staff was not very friendly, and they all looked like they wanted to rip their own eyeballs out. I felt bad for them. I think they had probably been treated poorly all day, but they were not very nice.

01:10:25 - 01:10:42 | Speaker 5:

God, there are more athleisure-type stores. I was looking at that. They have Lululemon. Seriously, yeah. Thank you. Is that a good thing? It's a great thing. They have Lululemon. They have this aloe store. They've got Viore. And then there was one other one. Oh, Fabletics or something like that.

01:10:42 - 01:10:54 | Speaker 6:

Oh, yeah, we love Fabletics. Why are they so expensive all of them? Even Roots. I don't know. I went to Roots the other day, and I was like, what the hell is going on in this sweatpants world where a pair of pants is $100?

01:10:54 - 01:10:56 | Speaker 5:

It's insane. I don't know.

01:10:56 - 01:10:56 | Speaker 6:

And Nike.

01:10:56 - 01:11:01 | Speaker 5:

She has, like, a full athleisure line there as well. What's up, Kristen? Hi, it's Mojo in the Morning.

01:11:03 - 01:11:33 | Speaker 4:

Actually, the worst place to try and stand in line at this time of year right now is Costco. You're right. I went there on Friday. Yep. I went there on Friday. The line was insanity. The checkout, the quick checkout was insanity. I saw this old guy in line. I went up to him. I was like, how much do I have to pay you to be your granddaughter right now? I had one thing. Oh, man. And he's laughing at me. He's like, it's okay. You can cut. I'm like, okay. I'm like, actually, I need one more thing. I did only grab one more thing. Oh, my God. You're like that guy.

01:11:34 - 01:11:39 | Speaker 5:

You know what it is? It's called the Pretty Girl. This is the Pretty Girl card.

01:11:40 - 01:11:48 | Speaker 4:

His real granddaughter came up to me and said hi. His real granddaughter was with him shopping. It was hilarious. He was so nice. So shout out to Gary and thank me.

01:11:48 - 01:11:52 | Speaker 5:

That is the Pretty Girl card. Which Costco was this at?

01:11:53 - 01:11:59 | Speaker 4:

It was the one in Brighton. And so shout out to Gary. Oh, that's crazy. Thank you for letting me cut. I'd probably still be in that line right now.

01:12:00 - 01:12:07 | Speaker 5:

Worse than the line at Brighton Costco is the roundabouts out in front of that thing, which are scary as hell.

01:12:07 - 01:12:08 | Speaker 2:

Yeah, they're a little tricky.

01:12:09 - 01:12:12 | Speaker 5:

They're a little tricky. It's nutty. Thank you for the call. What's up, Ryan? How you doing?

01:12:13 - 01:12:15 | Speaker 2:

Good morning. How are y'all? Good morning.

01:12:15 - 01:12:20 | Speaker 5:

I'm doing good. What's going on? You wanted to comment on the Abercrombie a-hole?

01:12:21 - 01:12:26 | Speaker 2:

Yes. You can't help people stop the line. Yeah. You were already holding Chelsea's spot.

01:12:26 - 01:12:26 | Speaker 5:

Right.

01:12:27 - 01:12:34 | Speaker 2:

So you can't hold two people's spot. So, Mojo, I agree with you. But you should have said, oh, buddy, I can't. I'm already holding Chelsea's spot.

01:12:34 - 01:12:35 | Speaker 5:

Yeah. You know what?

01:12:36 - 01:12:46 | Speaker 2:

And especially since he was at the end of the line, like he got behind you. It would have been completely different if he was, like, in front of you. But he was at the end of the line.

01:12:47 - 01:12:47 | Speaker 5:

Yeah.

01:12:47 - 01:12:49 | Speaker 2:

So what spot were you really holding?

01:12:49 - 01:13:03 | Speaker 5:

And that actually is a very good point. Like, if the guy was in front of me, I probably would be more, you know, kind of kind about it than I am today over the fact that I feel like all I was was a placeholder for this guy. You know?

01:13:03 - 01:13:05 | Speaker 1:

You're a person. He's coming in line.

01:13:05 - 01:13:08 | Speaker 5:

Thank you for the call. What's up, Natasha?

01:13:09 - 01:13:22 | Speaker 3:

Listen, Mojo, that guy was smart, okay? He saw opportunity and he took it. I agree. I would have done the same thing. Listen, especially you said the line was what? Long, wrapped around the store? I would have done the same thing, Mojo.

01:13:22 - 01:13:27 | Speaker 5:

You know what he saw? He saw the dumb look on my face. He said.

01:13:29 - 01:13:32 | Speaker 3:

Mojo, he knows you have a good heart. You couldn't help yourself.

01:13:32 - 01:13:34 | Speaker 5:

Now you're going to get me. See? Don't make me cry.

01:13:35 - 01:13:36 | Speaker 3:

Merry Christmas. Merry Christmas.

01:13:36 - 01:13:37 | Speaker 5:

We love you, Natasha.

01:13:38 - 01:13:39 | Speaker 3:

Thank you.

01:13:39 - 01:13:40 | Speaker 1:

Love you guys, too.

01:13:40 - 01:13:42 | Speaker 5:

What's up, Julie? Hi.

01:13:43 - 01:13:52 | Speaker 1:

Hello. Hi. So I do believe that you might have been the a-hole there. What? Why? She says it so delicately.

01:13:52 - 01:13:54 | Speaker 5:

Why might I be the a-hole?

01:13:55 - 01:14:02 | Speaker 1:

What about all those people that were behind you by the time Chelsea got back or the guy got back? Those people are P.O.'d at you.

01:14:02 - 01:14:04 | Speaker 5:

They know they're mad at me. Not him?

01:14:06 - 01:14:12 | Speaker 7:

Who are you? Because allowing it, in my opinion. I think they're just mad because they didn't think of that idea themselves.

01:14:12 - 01:14:32 | Speaker 5:

Can I tell you who the worst is and the reason why the lines are long? the four people working at the Abercrombie and Somerset collection in Detroit, Michigan might be the slowest people I've ever seen in my life. The one dude, this one dude was like uh, uh, uh, I swear to you

01:14:32 - 01:14:34 | Speaker 7:

this guy. It's because they're high from the smell.

01:14:34 - 01:14:47 | Speaker 5:

I think that's what it is too. This guy literally was like, it took him like five minutes to try to take a security tag off that literally he already took off. I'm like, what is going on here? Seriously, put some faster people up there.

01:14:47 - 01:14:50 | Speaker 1:

Their stuff is cute. It's for Christmas help. Say good, anybody.

01:14:50 - 01:14:51 | Speaker 5:

Is that what it is? All right.

01:14:51 - 01:14:52 | Speaker 1:

Yeah.

01:14:52 - 01:14:57 | Speaker 5:

Well, I'm a little slow right now, too. And I'm the a-hole, according to you. Thank you for the call.

01:14:57 - 01:14:57 | Speaker 1:

Bye.

01:14:58 - 01:14:58 | Speaker 5:

Bye. Bye.

01:15:00 - 01:15:15 | Speaker 2:

Christmas is coming because I see a lot of ho-ho-hos at the mall, mall, mall. This is Mojo in the Morning. WKQI Detroit. WSNX Muskegon Grand Rapids. WVKS Toledo. This is Mojo in the Morning.

01:15:15 - 01:15:16 | Speaker 1:

Oh, Mojo, he's amazing.

01:15:17 - 01:15:20 | Speaker 2:

Live. Mojo. Mojo.

01:15:24 - 01:15:33 | Speaker 1:

5, 4, 3, 2, 1. Ignition. Let me take y'all back to the beginning. This is it.

01:15:33 - 01:15:34 | Speaker 2:

All right, are you ready?

01:15:35 - 01:15:37 | Speaker 1:

You're listening to Mojo in the Morning.

01:15:37 - 01:15:38 | Speaker 2:

You're a doo-doo hack.

01:15:38 - 01:15:42 | Unknown:

Here we go, go, go. Here we go, go, go. Let's go.

01:15:43 - 01:15:50 | Speaker 2:

Another debate that we have to do at a later time are people who get out of the car and stand in parking spots. Okay, that is ridiculous to me. Later this week.

01:15:50 - 01:15:55 | Speaker 1:

That's too far. Put this down at a different time. I'm running you over.

01:15:55 - 01:15:56 | Speaker 2:

And we'll talk about that.

01:15:56 - 01:15:57 | Speaker 1:

The same thing.

01:15:58 - 01:17:19 | Speaker 2:

Mojo in the Morning Show. Good to have you guys here with us. Let me, I got the show sheet here. So if you're watching on video, you can see me looking at it. The entire video will be up on all of our social media, but we'll have that for you before the end of the show. Go to mojoswish.org if you'd like to have a wish granted. All right, Mojo in the Morning Show. What a great weekend. I hope you guys got to enjoy it. We sat around and watched. We watched The Family Stone, our first official watching of The Family Stone. We watch it every year, and we realize that that's Chelsea and I. The parents in that thing.

01:17:19 - 01:17:21 | Speaker 1:

She's going to live forever and ever and ever.

01:17:21 - 01:17:28 | Speaker 2:

So we watched that. We cried. And then I started thinking to myself, well, what other Christmas movies can we pull out?

01:17:28 - 01:17:29 | Speaker 1:

Oh, my goodness.

01:17:29 - 01:17:31 | Speaker 2:

And I know I'm not going to watch the one that Shannon's about to talk about.

01:17:31 - 01:18:51 | Speaker 1:

Let me tell you something. You guys know I am a sucker for all of the cheesy Hallmark movies. What? I love. I know. It's shocking. I love them. And Friday night, Wes and I were solo. We didn't have any children. And so we had already gone to the mall and, like, ran all of our errands and stuff. And we made dinner and we lit a fire and we were just going to wind down and watch a movie. And we've already watched like a few of the staples this year. It's Wonderful Life and Miracle on 34th Street, Christmas Vacation. And I kept seeing people posting about this hot frosty movie on Netflix with Lacey Chabert because she's now in all of like the Christmas movies. It's Lindsay Lohan and Lacey Chabert are in all of the movies. The Lindsay Lohan one is really good, by the way. I keep hearing that. It's really good. Okay. So everybody keeps telling me hot frosty, hot frosty. And so we started it. You guys, it might be not just the worst holiday movie I've ever seen. It might be the worst movie I've ever seen. And we didn't even get, we maybe got 14 minutes in and Wes looked at me and he was like, this is absolute torture. I feel like I've lost precious moments of my life. And I agreed with him it was horrible really so if you've gotten through that movie tell me it gets better because

01:18:51 - 01:18:56 | Speaker 2:

i don't believe you can you read the synopsis of hot frost okay yeah hang on okay so it is

01:18:56 - 01:19:39 | Speaker 1:

it's lacy chabert by the way from mean girls um it says when a young widow's magic scarf brings a dashing snowman to life can he help her rediscover romance laughter and holiday cheer before he melts away. She falls in love with a snowman? With a snowman. I love snowman sex. Who reminds me of Tarzan. So he starts off like a snowman, but he becomes a real man. Because she wraps her red magic scarf around him. Oh, really? Again, again. It's a no for me, though. This sounds like something I'd be into normally. It was so stupid. Hey, so nice to see you. Take it off. You get your heat fixed? My life is a mess right now. Good things come to you when you're out in the cold, Kathy.

01:19:39 - 01:19:44 | Speaker 2:

Wait, did she just say good things come to you when you're... When you're cold.

01:19:44 - 01:19:50 | Speaker 1:

No, when you're cold. You know what? That's not true. You keep it.

01:19:54 - 01:20:00 | Speaker 2:

Oh, my God. So, she wraps these things... They're pretty bad.

01:20:00 - 01:20:02 | Speaker 4:

Dad, do you want me to get behind you and push?

01:20:02 - 01:20:08 | Speaker 1:

He comes to life and he's very chiseled, but dumber than a box of rocks. It is, it is. Really?

01:20:09 - 01:20:12 | Speaker 4:

So this is a bad movie. Don't watch this movie.

01:20:12 - 01:20:22 | Speaker 1:

And you know who put it on his Instagram? And I normally trust all of his movie and TV show recommendations. Our friend Armand. Armand. I'm very upset with you about this.

01:20:22 - 01:20:27 | Speaker 4:

Armand, who used to work here? Yes. He seems like he's too cool to watch a movie like this.

01:20:27 - 01:20:28 | Speaker 1:

No, he loves all those kind of movies, too.

01:20:28 - 01:20:32 | Speaker 4:

He does? Yes. Sweet. So what did he say on his thing? Did he say it was horrible?

01:20:32 - 01:20:37 | Speaker 1:

No. He was sitting down to cozy up and watch it with cocktails and his husband.

01:20:38 - 01:20:40 | Speaker 6:

There is a worse Christmas movie, though.

01:20:40 - 01:20:43 | Speaker 4:

What's that? The Polar Express. Oh, my God. That's the worst movie ever.

01:20:43 - 01:20:54 | Speaker 6:

I will die on this hill. The worst movie ever. There's one good moment of the entire film, and it's that hot chocolate song. And other than that, hot garbage is what that movie should be called.

01:20:54 - 01:21:20 | Speaker 4:

I remember taking the kids to go see Polar Express. Oh, it is. And then they had a Polar Express train in, like, Walled Lake that Chelsea was like, hey, did you see that there's a Polar Express train? And I said, what is a Polar Express train? She says, it's a train that's like the Polar Express, and then you have, like, dinner on it, and then afterwards you celebrate, like, Christmas. I'm, like, going, the movie alone was the worst thing ever.

01:21:20 - 01:21:27 | Speaker 5:

The worst. It felt like that movie, I never saw it, but it looked like it was supposed to be a nice kid movie, but it looked scary at the same time.

01:21:27 - 01:21:30 | Speaker 6:

It is. The animation is a little creepy.

01:21:30 - 01:21:38 | Speaker 4:

It was crazy. Their teeth look weird. It was absolutely horrible. Also, the other thing, too, is any of those Tim Allen Santa Claus movies. Hold on now.

01:21:38 - 01:21:39 | Speaker 5:

Hold on now.

01:21:39 - 01:21:41 | Speaker 4:

Those are the dumbest things ever.

01:21:41 - 01:21:46 | Speaker 5:

I like those. Tim Allen's funnier than that. I really love those. Listen, those are good movies. All of them.

01:21:46 - 01:21:47 | Speaker 4:

That is so dumb. Bernard.

01:21:48 - 01:21:49 | Speaker 5:

You are insane.

01:21:49 - 01:21:52 | Speaker 1:

You can't crap on Bernard. Scott Claus. Come on.

01:21:53 - 01:22:01 | Speaker 4:

Or what is the dog ones? Where the dog. Air Bud. earbuds air buds you know they got an air bud christmas i don't know if there's an air bud

01:22:01 - 01:22:25 | Speaker 5:

christmas but those movies air buds were the dumbest movies ever you like seriously when they had the core you are too cool of a guy you're too cool of a guy i was 89 because what those dogs are dead oh damn hold on ashley what's up ashley that's a terrible hey hi first time long

01:22:25 - 01:22:41 | Speaker 3:

what's going on well you say me and my fiancee watched the hot frosty and we really liked it he wasn't supposed to be smart he was a freaking honestly were you drinking when you watched it or

01:22:41 - 01:22:47 | Speaker 1:

hi we were it was our date night movie okay so that that's why you thought it was okay

01:22:47 - 01:22:50 | Speaker 4:

did you find him to be attractive when he came to life

01:22:50 - 01:22:58 | Speaker 3:

i don't think he was a snowman he wasn't supposed to be smart yeah he was he again he needed a

01:22:58 - 01:23:06 | Speaker 4:

brain all he needed was the the scarf uh what's up kristin hi what's going on good morning good

01:23:06 - 01:23:28 | Speaker 2:

morning movie ever oh you saw it too oh i not all of it i couldn't get through the whole thing i started it because i'd heard good things about it and i'm a hallmark movie fan i download an app and everything every Christmas, just to watch the dumb things. Yes, yes. And I love them. And I love Lacey. She's one of my favorite actors on these things. But this movie, I couldn't do it. And I almost always get to movies and I couldn't do this one.

01:23:29 - 01:23:32 | Speaker 4:

Does Lacey star in all these movies? Like, is she the...

01:23:32 - 01:23:39 | Speaker 1:

It's like her, Lindsay, Candace Cameron, Bure. There's like a group of five or six of them that are in all the movies.

01:23:39 - 01:23:50 | Speaker 4:

Donna, what's going on? Oh, I lost you, Donna. Hold on a second here. Ashley, what's going on? It's Mojo in the Morning. we're talking about the worst Christmas movie ever, which is the Hot Frosty movie.

01:23:52 - 01:23:57 | Speaker 3:

Yeah, I didn't think it was that terrible, but, I mean, it wasn't one of her greatest, but I like Lacey.

01:23:58 - 01:24:06 | Speaker 4:

Yeah. So what's Lacey's best movie that Shannon should watch? Because I don't know if Wes is going to give her a second chance on this whole thing.

01:24:07 - 01:24:11 | Speaker 3:

I don't even want to give her a recommendation because she didn't like that one.

01:24:12 - 01:24:16 | Speaker 4:

Do you think that maybe Shannon needs a little bit of the Christmas spirit in her life?

01:24:16 - 01:24:21 | Speaker 1:

Oh, I have so much Christmas spirit, just not for a snowman that comes to life. Hey, Olaf.

01:24:21 - 01:24:22 | Speaker 4:

Was it?

01:24:22 - 01:24:22 | Speaker 1:

Oh, except for Olaf.

01:24:23 - 01:24:27 | Speaker 4:

The premise is cute. It's just that you think that they did a stupid job or you don't like the premise?

01:24:28 - 01:24:30 | Speaker 1:

No, they did a stupid job.

01:24:30 - 01:24:31 | Speaker 4:

Oh, really? Yeah.

01:24:31 - 01:24:34 | Speaker 3:

I think it's a good job, Frosty the Snowman.

01:24:34 - 01:24:39 | Speaker 4:

Frosty the Snowman, like the old ones, the animated ones that they had? I used to love those movies.

01:24:40 - 01:24:42 | Speaker 3:

Yeah, that's what I kind of think they were going for.

01:24:42 - 01:25:00 | Speaker 4:

So I actually sat my kids down and I said, hey, guys, these are the things that we used to watch when we were kids. I want to sit you down and have you see Santa Claus is coming to town, Frosty the Snowman, all that stuff. My kids sat down in front of the TV and they're like, this sucks. Can we play video games? I mean, it's like, how is it that we as kids love?

01:25:00 - 01:25:05 | Speaker 5:

Or Charlie Brown Christmas. My kids hated a Charlie Brown Christmas. They thought it was the dumbest thing ever.

01:25:05 - 01:25:06 | Speaker 1:

It's sad.

01:25:07 - 01:25:26 | Speaker 5:

You guys, they're like, what did grandma and grandpa do to you? They made you sit down and watch these things. And then It's a Wonderful Life, which is the movie that I think is the greatest movie of all time. I've had friends go watch it, and they thought, this is the most long, boring. And they hate black and white. I like black and white versus the color version.

01:25:27 - 01:25:29 | Speaker 1:

I hated it as a kid. I appreciate that movie as an adult.

01:25:29 - 01:25:33 | Speaker 5:

Sarah, what is your worst movie ever?

01:25:35 - 01:25:58 | Speaker 7:

Well, I think it's the best Christmas movie ever. It's called Mixed Nuts with Steve Martin, Julia Louis Dreyfuss, Jon Stewart. This was back in the 90s. I don't think I've ever seen that one before. Mixed Nuts. It's about a non-profit suicide hotline on Christmas Eve. It's hilarious. Oh, I have seen this movie.

01:25:58 - 01:26:01 | Speaker 5:

What a great title for that. That wouldn't fly nowadays.

01:26:01 - 01:26:02 | Speaker 6:

Adam Sandler's in it.

01:26:02 - 01:26:03 | Speaker 5:

That's awesome.

01:26:03 - 01:26:04 | Speaker 6:

Oh, I have to watch it.

01:26:04 - 01:26:12 | Speaker 5:

Hold on. They're going to, you're going to get upset with Amber's call. Amber, what do you think is the worst Christmas movie of all time?

01:26:14 - 01:26:24 | Speaker 8:

Hi, everyone. Shannon, I am so sorry to say this, but Love Actually is the absolute worst Christmas movie. You know what?

01:26:24 - 01:26:38 | Speaker 6:

They're horrible. Can I tell you something? They're a-holes. They're cheating. So that's one of my favorites. You know this, obviously. You listen to the show. I introduced Wes to that movie last year, and he said the same thing. He's like, this movie is full of horrible morals. I'm telling you.

01:26:38 - 01:26:38 | Speaker 5:

It's bad.

01:26:39 - 01:26:40 | Speaker 6:

But I still love it.

01:26:41 - 01:26:45 | Speaker 5:

I think it's a great movie. I think that it all comes together at the end where everybody kind of finds their way.

01:26:45 - 01:26:52 | Speaker 6:

Yeah, but like my favorite scene of, you know, him holding up the sign to me, you are perfect. Wes is screaming at the TV. He's like, but she's married.

01:26:54 - 01:26:55 | Speaker 8:

Right.

01:26:55 - 01:26:56 | Speaker 6:

Right.

01:26:56 - 01:27:03 | Speaker 5:

It's not realistic. I love it. I think that's a great movie. Matthew, you got a great point on this one here. What do you think are the worst movies ever?

01:27:04 - 01:27:08 | Speaker 3:

I think the worst Christmas movies ever are any Home Alone movie after number two.

01:27:08 - 01:27:11 | Speaker 4:

No, let him finish. After number two. I heard him.

01:27:11 - 01:27:12 | Speaker 5:

After number two. I agree.

01:27:13 - 01:27:18 | Speaker 4:

I don't. Three was fire. Three was fire. Kevin, you have the worst taste in movies. No, I like three.

01:27:18 - 01:27:27 | Speaker 5:

You're insane. You know what your problem is, Kevin? You have too much time on your hands. You go to see every single movie. First off, you're the same guy that picked horrible Jack Black movies for the back in the day.

01:27:27 - 01:27:33 | Speaker 4:

It was funny. Listen, Home Alone 3 is a banger. It is not a banger. It is a banger.

01:27:33 - 01:27:36 | Speaker 5:

First off, it's not even Macaulay Culkin. It doesn't matter if it's not Macaulay Culkin.

01:27:37 - 01:27:47 | Speaker 4:

That's okay. It's okay with the raspy boy. No, screw that. Kid hasn't done anything since. Next Friday was... Don't blame the kid. Next Friday was fire Chris Tucker, wasn't he? Buzz, your girlfriend. Woof.

01:27:47 - 01:27:59 | Speaker 3:

Yeah. Another bad one was Jingle All the Way 2. You got more? Oh, yes. Jingle All the Ways are the worst, too. I've never seen that. I never saw the second. No, the first one is good. and the first one's my favorite. Okay, okay.

01:27:59 - 01:28:00 | Speaker 4:

With Sinbad. That's a good one.

01:28:00 - 01:28:01 | Speaker 5:

Oh, God.

01:28:01 - 01:28:03 | Speaker 3:

You don't like Jingle All the Way? Larry the Cable Guy?

01:28:04 - 01:28:07 | Speaker 5:

Question for you. Do you think that the Santa Claus movies are good?

01:28:09 - 01:28:11 | Speaker 3:

I like the first two.

01:28:12 - 01:28:14 | Speaker 5:

And then after that, it jumps the shark, huh?

01:28:14 - 01:28:16 | Speaker 3:

After that, it started going downhill pretty much. Yeah.

01:28:17 - 01:28:34 | Speaker 5:

Yeah, there's too much. All right, well, thank you for the call. I appreciate it. I don't like this. And by the way, I want to throw this. This is completely off base on this one. The remake of Do They Know It's Christmas that they just did I saw the 2024 remake Oh, I haven't heard it yet Might be the worst song I've ever heard in my life

01:28:34 - 01:28:35 | Speaker 1:

Oh, you gotta play it

01:28:35 - 01:28:49 | Speaker 5:

I won't even do it It's not even worth it I would rather play, you ready for this one? I would rather play Miguel than play that Okay? Thank you No, I will, I would rather Please don't

01:28:49 - 01:28:59 | Speaker 2:

The guy you were dating was fun until the hookup Now he's ghosting you What happened? Find out during second date update at 820. On Mojo in the Morning.

01:28:59 - 01:29:06 | Speaker 5:

All right, it is Mojo in the Morning show. Megan, what is it that drives you nuts? Is this going to be a Megan Minute? Let's do a Megan Minute.

01:29:07 - 01:29:10 | Speaker 4:

All right. Let's do a Megan Minute. Megan Minute, everybody.

01:29:11 - 01:29:21 | Speaker 5:

A Megan Minute. It's time. Are you ready? Yeah, I'm ready. 60 seconds on the clock. Megan can say anything she wants. She's got free airwaves. It's a Megan Minute.

01:29:22 - 01:30:00 | Speaker 1:

Okay, I am so sick of these companies that at the checkout, as you're going through everything and you're paying at the very end, they're like, would you like to round up or donate to this cause? Number one, I've been on the board for a lot of local organizations, and every time we reach out to these companies to help us, they never help local charities. So that's my biggest gripe with this, right? It's like you'll do it, but you won't do it for the people in your own community. You only do it for the national ones. And number two, you're only asking me near Christmastime to round up because then I feel obligated to do good for others so that you don't have to pay your taxes. This is not about doing good. This is about you taking my money so that...

01:30:00 - 01:30:11 | Speaker 7:

You, as a corporation, do not have to pay taxes. And then you make me look bad, not only in front of the customers in line behind me, but also the cash register person. And it makes me feel so uncomfortable.

01:30:13 - 01:30:15 | Speaker 2:

That's a Megan Minute, everybody. There you go.

01:30:15 - 01:30:23 | Speaker 7:

I do feel like it puts you in a bad position where, like, if you say yes, you're helping this corporation not pay taxes. But if you say no, you're not helping charity. And there's no right answer.

01:30:23 - 01:30:37 | Speaker 8:

I'll be honest with you. I've been saying no, like, way more than I've been saying yes because of this, because we've talked about this. The only place I will say yes, and you should too, and I really mean this, is the Imagine Theater because it goes to breaking and entering Christmas. Oh, that is true. And really it does, 100% of it does.

01:30:37 - 01:30:43 | Speaker 7:

But I feel differently about it going to local organizations. Right, right. There is a huge difference there.

01:30:43 - 01:31:10 | Speaker 2:

So here's a question. I don't mind it at the holidays. I don't like it during the year. I don't like it after that. Not that we just only give during the holidays, but I agree that when you're doing it during the year, like everybody has it. And I hate, first off, the worst is Chipotle. Chipotle does this all the time. Yes. I haven't been there in a long time. Chipotle does it on the app. You ever order on the app? I say no to everything. Do you? Taco Bell has it on the app. Terms and agreements on your Apple?

01:31:10 - 01:31:11 | Unknown:

Really?

01:31:11 - 01:31:15 | Speaker 2:

You say no to that? No. I mean, any time they ask me to round up, I hit no.

01:31:15 - 01:31:17 | Speaker 7:

And I have no qualms about it.

01:31:17 - 01:31:18 | Speaker 2:

You don't even look at the charity. It's the easiest decision of my dad.

01:31:18 - 01:31:22 | Speaker 7:

You don't feel judged? Hell no. Judge me all you want. I mean, no.

01:31:22 - 01:31:22 | Speaker 2:

Let me ask you guys this.

01:31:22 - 01:31:25 | Speaker 8:

It took me a second to get there. I no longer feel judged.

01:31:25 - 01:31:38 | Speaker 2:

What about walking in and out of stores and having somebody selling stuff to you? I don't care about them kids and they M&Ms. I say I'm sorry, bro. I don't got it. Well, I cannot stop giving to the Salvation Army people, but I got to be honest. I don't have dollars in single.

01:31:39 - 01:31:40 | Speaker 7:

That's the thing. I don't have cash.

01:31:40 - 01:31:49 | Speaker 2:

I'm sorry. And now they get you with the credit card thing, which I get. But if I make one donation, can I wear a sticker, like I voted sticker? You know what I mean?

01:31:50 - 01:32:03 | Speaker 8:

I just say Merry Christmas or Happy Holidays, but I never have cash on me. I think I have a $2 bill in my wallet right now, and that's from the Tooth Fairy when I was, like, seven years old. And for some weird reason, I still carry it around.

01:32:03 - 01:32:33 | Speaker 2:

I wish they gave you a badge because no matter what, I know what happens. If somebody that's ringing the bell is there and they go, oh, isn't that the guy from the radio? That guy's cheap and he doesn't do it. So I always feel like I have to give something. Right. Otherwise, they're going to look at me. And honestly, I'd like to have, like, my secret pass, like where I said, hey, I gave it Bushes or something, you know. So you're not doing it out the goodness of your heart? No, I'm giving because I don't want people to shame me. I don't know.

01:32:34 - 01:32:43 | Speaker 8:

By the way, we've all worked in retail in here, right? Did you ever judge people when they didn't round up or give a donation? Let's ask. I didn't.

01:32:43 - 01:32:48 | Speaker 7:

Yes, because I didn't know that it was for the company's tax write-off. So I would be like, why don't you care about other people?

01:32:49 - 01:32:54 | Speaker 2:

844-MOJO-LIVE, 844-665-6548 is our telephone number. What's up, Barb? Hi.

01:32:55 - 01:33:05 | Speaker 4:

Hi. I just wanted to let you know that Dick's Sporting Goods, they do donate to the local youth sports. Oh, that's good to know.

01:33:06 - 01:33:06 | Unknown:

Yeah.

01:33:06 - 01:33:26 | Speaker 4:

Yeah. So, like, any of the Macomb County stores that collect to the Roundup, that goes to the Macomb County youth underprivileged kids. Okay. I'm glad you told us. Same thing with Oakland County stores. They only donate to the youth sports for the underprivileged in Michigan County.

01:33:27 - 01:33:30 | Speaker 2:

Yeah, that's nice to know. Thank you for telling us, Barb. What's up, Allison? Hi.

01:33:32 - 01:34:01 | Speaker 5:

Good morning. So, Megan, you got me hyped on this, okay? Because it drives me nuts every single time I go into a store. I work for education. And every time I go to Taco Bell, they ask me if I want to round up. And I always say, I'll round out if you give it to me so I can give it to my classroom. Like, we never see it. We never see it. I work in special education, and it's only December, and we've already run out of our funds.

01:34:01 - 01:34:06 | Speaker 2:

Oh, Jesus. Wow. Oh, man. Where are you at? What schools are you with?

01:34:07 - 01:34:11 | Speaker 5:

I cannot say, but I'm in the Rochester School District. Oh, we got to try to see what we can do to help you.

01:34:11 - 01:34:17 | Speaker 2:

Let us know what we can do to help you and try to see if we can come through or something. What's up, Stacey? Hi.

01:34:18 - 01:34:36 | Speaker 6:

Hi. I've seen this on Instagram and heard that the companies actually donate to the charity one time a year, and then they're asking you if you want to donate to replenish their money that they've donated. That's kind of what Megan was saying. Yes.

01:34:37 - 01:34:37 | Speaker 1:

Yeah.

01:34:37 - 01:34:41 | Speaker 6:

Yeah. I don't know the validity of that, but.

01:34:42 - 01:34:45 | Speaker 1:

What's that? The validity? What did you say? Validity?

01:34:46 - 01:34:48 | Speaker 7:

I like valedictine stuff.

01:34:48 - 01:34:49 | Speaker 3:

I like valedictine stuff.

01:34:49 - 01:34:50 | Speaker 7:

It sounds like a flower.

01:34:51 - 01:34:51 | Speaker 1:

Valadictine.

01:34:51 - 01:34:53 | Speaker 7:

I'll take a bunch of valadictines, please.

01:34:54 - 01:34:55 | Speaker 1:

What's up, Kim?

01:34:55 - 01:34:57 | Speaker 5:

She ain't gonna never call again.

01:34:57 - 01:34:59 | Speaker 2:

What's going on? Hi, how are you? Good, what's going on?

01:35:00 - 01:35:06 | Speaker 4:

Well, I wanted to let you know that the roundup for Ronald McDonald houses, 100% stays local.

01:35:06 - 01:35:08 | Speaker 2:

To our local house?

01:35:09 - 01:35:09 | Speaker 4:

It is.

01:35:09 - 01:35:10 | Speaker 2:

Yeah.

01:35:10 - 01:35:22 | Speaker 4:

The Ronald McDonald houses, there's four in Michigan. And probably close to $800 to $8 million a year goes back to those Ronald McDonald houses. And they're incredible. Very roundup.

01:35:22 - 01:35:33 | Speaker 2:

Yeah. Yeah. Yeah, they do great things. Yeah. We've had a number of people that we know that their families have had to have their kids in Children's Hospital and then stay at Ronald McDonald. What's going on, Evelyn?

01:35:34 - 01:35:36 | Speaker 5:

Good morning, you guys. Morning.

01:35:37 - 01:35:37 | Speaker 2:

What's up?

01:35:38 - 01:35:48 | Speaker 5:

What's up, Megan? I think every Monday you should have a Megan Minute Monday, okay? Because tell them, it is around this time, they always want you to roll up something or donate something. The only person I can say no to is the kids.

01:35:50 - 01:35:54 | Speaker 2:

Interesting. Mm-hmm. Cool. So, they've been in my days.

01:35:54 - 01:36:07 | Speaker 3:

And I think if I, if we took away the tax benefit for these corporations, right, because it's a write-off for them. If we took that away, I would round up all the time. All the time.

01:36:08 - 01:36:10 | Speaker 5:

Yes, all the time. But around this year, like, they pour shit on you.

01:36:10 - 01:36:11 | Speaker 3:

Yeah.

01:36:11 - 01:36:14 | Speaker 5:

It's about to be on all of my phones as soon as we get off. Round up.

01:36:15 - 01:36:16 | Speaker 2:

Round up. I know.

01:36:16 - 01:36:17 | Speaker 5:

As soon as we click on social media.

01:36:17 - 01:36:20 | Speaker 2:

I know. They're all listening to us. Billy, what's up?

01:36:20 - 01:36:43 | Speaker 6:

how's it going good what's going on billy you know as a truck driver you know there's a lot of these truck stops and they always ask me to round up and it's some corporation that has been in there for the longest time and i always say no because it's just ridiculous it's not just

01:36:43 - 01:37:00 | Speaker 2:

one time a year it's all the time now man uh so the truck stops do it do they yeah do they ever donate to the lot lizards that are out there we don't call them that we call them recreational

01:37:00 - 01:37:10 | Speaker 6:

reptiles now they upgraded their level they rebranded oh my god that was so funny billy

01:37:10 - 01:37:15 | Speaker 2:

where's the where is the best uh ones in your driving area like where are the best ones

01:37:15 - 01:37:43 | Speaker 6:

well i'm in battle creek right now so i mean not so bad just off 94 there what do you got the pilot over there yeah i mean they've actually calmed down um really really great like you know it used to be really bad where you couldn't sleep at night you'd have a knock on your door Now you can actually get somewhat of a sleep without somebody hitting you. That's the next greatest thing.

01:37:43 - 01:37:46 | Speaker 2:

Wait, when they're knocking on the door, what are they asking for? Are they wanting like a...

01:37:46 - 01:37:50 | Speaker 3:

Is there a certain knock that they do so you know it's a... A lizard knock?

01:37:50 - 01:37:59 | Speaker 6:

Well, it's not like that knock three times. It's, hey, do you want me to clean your truck? Do you want me to do something?

01:38:00 - 01:38:03 | Speaker 3:

Oh, so it's not just a scratching on the door late at night.

01:38:04 - 01:38:14 | Speaker 6:

Sorry, if I'm going to pay somebody, You better clean the truck, polish my rims, or do my logbook. I mean, other than that, I ain't going to pay you for nothing else.

01:38:16 - 01:38:21 | Speaker 2:

All right. Well, thank you so much for being on with us, buddy. Appreciate you.

01:38:21 - 01:38:23 | Speaker 6:

You too. You guys have a good morning.

01:38:24 - 01:38:26 | Speaker 2:

Merry Christmas. All right. That was a Megan Minute.

01:38:27 - 01:38:33 | Speaker 1:

Megan, we think about you all the time, mostly when we go by a car accident or when cleaning up dog poop.

01:38:34 - 01:38:36 | Speaker 2:

Oh. Oh. Oh.

01:38:36 - 01:38:38 | Speaker 1:

This is Mojo in the Morning.

01:38:39 - 01:38:45 | Speaker 2:

That is not kind. That one should not play during the holiday season. All right, Mojo in the Morning show.

01:38:46 - 01:38:49 | Speaker 1:

It's the second date update on Mojo in the Morning.

01:38:49 - 01:39:59 | Speaker 2:

All right, second date update right now. We got a interesting situation happening here right now. So we got a phone call or actually an entry off of a text. If you ever want to know why you're not getting a call back, text DATE to 95500, and we'll get you on the second date update so we got a entry from a girl by the name of sarah who i think she lives in the detroit area and she wanted to know why she was not getting a call back so what ends up happening to give you a little behind the scenes type thing is our producers lydia and kp will contact the person that's ghosting try to ask them to come on the radio with us and say hey we're trying to figure out what's going on if everything's okay would you go on the air with us she said that the date was great that they had you know a great time with each other he told us a story that happened about the date and when we contacted her back to go on the radio she then got cold feet and said she didn't want to go on with us so we're not going to say her last name but we'll just call her sarah and maybe if she's listening sarah if you are listening.

01:40:00 - 01:40:09 | Speaker 1:

We'd love to hear your side of the story on this one. She claims that the date was incredible with Thomas. Thomas, thanks for staying with us and going on the radio with us. How are you?

01:40:10 - 01:40:13 | Speaker 2:

I'm okay. A little awkward maybe, but I'm all right.

01:40:14 - 01:40:58 | Speaker 1:

All right. So now just so that everybody doesn't think that we're throwing this girl under the bus. We're not. She's the one that contacted us. Yeah. We then contacted Thomas. Thomas, she said that the date was great. She said that everything was awesome, that she actually thought that you were really attractive, that you guys had talked a lot. And at the end of the date, while you guys didn't make plans for a second date, she said that it seemed like she was going to get another date. And then you all of a sudden never called her back. I want you to do me a favor here right now. I want you to fill in everybody on the show and all of our listeners with what was it that got you to not call her back for a second date?

01:40:59 - 01:41:50 | Speaker 2:

Oh, okay. So the thing is, is I can see kind of what's happened because she only gave you part of the information. What actually happened is the date was great. Everything was fine. Okay. and but i i didn't like she she literally left the date to go take care of her kid okay now the thing about that is it wasn't like at the end of the date it was right at sort of the the middle i mean the food was coming it was like it was like a whole thing you know and i i i at first i was like well hey look you know uh maybe we could just do this another time and, you know, then, you know, we can just do it when you're not busy because we were just sitting down. And she was like, oh, no, no, no, it's totally fine. And then she left.

01:41:50 - 01:41:56 | Speaker 1:

Okay, so you had given her the out of, hey, I know your kid is sick because she told you that, right?

01:41:58 - 01:42:06 | Speaker 2:

Well, yeah. I mean, again, I mean, that's one of the things that she said. She said that, oh, my kid's been feeling sick. I said, okay.

01:42:06 - 01:42:17 | Speaker 1:

so let's just call it quits and we'll come back and do this another time she didn't want to do that she ordered her food and ordered everything still staying with you for about how long of a time

01:42:17 - 01:42:22 | Speaker 2:

I would say probably 25 minutes at least

01:42:22 - 01:42:34 | Speaker 1:

maybe and then did she get another call from home or something that made her leave or did she just all of a sudden realize I should have been leaving right at the beginning of this date I shouldn't have stayed she just goes

01:42:34 - 01:43:15 | Speaker 2:

oh my gosh what am I doing I need to get out of here so she didn't get another call no it's not that she just literally it was like one of those things where I was like oh if you have to go you have to go and she's like no it's okay and then she started eating a little bit and I was like okay so I figured okay maybe she's staying but now I'm awkward I'm in a position like hey should you go with your kid or should you stay here like what's the deal like I don't know and then the mom guilt caught up with her that she should be home or or this is my question did she wrap her food up then and leave with it no because she said hey look i can i can come back and i said oh no you don't have to come back like go go take your kid she goes no no i can come back

01:43:15 - 01:43:37 | Speaker 1:

it's just i gotta check in with him and then she never came back after that and she never came back okay and i was just sitting there so you're so you're upset over what you're upset that she left you with a bunch of food sitting on the table or you're upset that she didn't she didn't leave to go take care of her kid and you thought that that was kind of not a cool thing well well

01:43:37 - 01:44:22 | Speaker 2:

she didn't leave right away though well not not to be a jerk or anything guys but like what i'm saying is okay she we went on a date she then gets a call and she says oh my gosh i gotta leave okay i was like okay but then she stays and eats food but not all of it then i say why don't we just do this another time when you can do this because i was getting weirded out she goes no no it's okay then she gets self-conscious she says oh my gosh i have to go but i will be back i said hey whoa let's do this another time she goes look please i really need this i haven't been out in a while now i'm feeling self-conscious i said great she'll take me 20 minutes i'll be back she leaves she never comes back i don't even know what happened to her and she never called you back all right question question of the listeners what i'm getting yeah she hasn't

01:44:22 - 01:45:14 | Speaker 1:

even called you guys well she no she did call us she did she contacted us to go on second date update she just when she was going to come on the air with us this morning right she then decided i don't think it's going to make her look good but i uh 844 mojo live 844-665-6548 is she in the wrong for doing the whole ordering thing and then you know eating a little bit and then leaving like I would think to myself, okay, I would want her to be attentive to her kids. Like, that would be a thing. And leave right away. Like, I would have no problem if she's, like, you gave her the out of, hey. hey, let's do this another time. But then I would also think to myself, I'm like going, well, the whole idea that she hasn't been out in a long time. So she's like kind of putting them off and wanting to eat a little bit of food. And then she leaves and leaves him hanging. It's kind of a double whammy.

01:45:15 - 01:45:48 | Speaker 6:

Yeah, she doesn't sound like a good communicator. I think that she probably shouldn't have gone out in the first place, but I see where she was like, okay, my child's, you know, maybe fine and try. And I think she was being a good, like, she's being a mom. And like I said, the mom guilt probably caught up with her of, oh, my God, I should not be here. I should be at home with my sick child. I just don't agree with her lack of communication at the end of she leaves, says she's coming back, never comes back, and never reaches out. That part I just, I don't agree with.

01:45:49 - 01:45:50 | Speaker 1:

Jodi, what do you think? Second date update. Hi.

01:45:52 - 01:45:53 | Speaker 3:

Hi, how are you guys?

01:45:53 - 01:45:54 | Speaker 1:

Good.

01:45:54 - 01:46:15 | Speaker 3:

You know, like Shannon was saying, she could have reached out. But my kid, I don't care what situation I am in, my kid will always come first. However, if she knew her kid was sick, she shouldn't have even went out on the date. But if I got some message saying my kid was feeling sicker, I definitely would get up and walk out that date.

01:46:17 - 01:46:40 | Speaker 1:

And I'm going to tell you that it is tough dating. I mean, we hear these stories all the time, especially if you're a single mom. I'm not going to judge her for being any kind of mom because I don't know other than this incident. But I will say this, that if you show him, man, my kids are going to come first, if this guy works out for you, he's going to know that. Hey, I'm willing to put you off for my kids. What's up, Shay?

01:46:41 - 01:46:43 | Speaker 5:

Good morning. How are you?

01:46:43 - 01:46:44 | Speaker 1:

Good. What's going on? What did you want to say?

01:46:45 - 01:47:06 | Speaker 5:

So she shouldn't have went in the first place. I'm a single mom. And, you know, you just don't. If your kids are sick, your kids do come first. i get that but if her child was sick she should have just not gone out i mean i don't even get that and if she didn't get a text or anything she just suddenly i don't know had a feeling it just doesn't i call bs i think there was something else going on there i want her to

01:47:06 - 01:47:10 | Speaker 1:

call us up i'm hoping sarah that you're listening to us and you can call us up i do too because i i

01:47:10 - 01:47:28 | Speaker 6:

wonder if it's a situation because like a lot of times kids are like i have a stomach ache yeah and as a mom you're like okay this is like the 27th stomach ache this week like i wonder if it was Something like that. And she's like, I'm safe to go out and try, you know, to do this and live my life a little tiny bit.

01:47:28 - 01:47:35 | Speaker 1:

Hey, did you know, Thomas, that her kids were sick at the start of the date? Or did she get a phone call at the start of the date?

01:47:37 - 01:47:40 | Speaker 2:

She got a phone call. Okay. And that's kind of what sort of hit the jet.

01:47:40 - 01:47:47 | Speaker 1:

So she didn't leave the house. Oh, gosh. We got her on the phone. Hold on a second, Thomas. Thomas, stay right there. Hey, Sarah?

01:47:49 - 01:47:49 | Speaker 4:

Yes?

01:47:50 - 01:47:54 | Speaker 1:

Hi. So, Sarah, we're talking about your date. Say hi to Thomas.

01:47:56 - 01:48:02 | Speaker 4:

Hey, Thomas. Sorry, I didn't answer. I've been swarmed with the kids, but what's going on?

01:48:02 - 01:48:03 | Speaker 1:

You had an issue this morning.

01:48:05 - 01:48:08 | Speaker 4:

Yeah, I mean, I've got kids. My hands are full.

01:48:09 - 01:48:16 | Speaker 1:

Okay, so, Sarah, what Thomas was telling us was that your son or your daughter that was sick?

01:48:16 - 01:48:23 | Speaker 4:

my daughter but my son wasn't feeling great either okay so he was telling us that you got

01:48:23 - 01:48:33 | Speaker 1:

up and left but you didn't leave right away at the beginning of the date when you found out that your you know daughter was sick that you left after you ordered and ate a little bit but then

01:48:33 - 01:48:50 | Speaker 4:

you never came back well yeah because initially when I got the call I was like okay well maybe it's not that bad but then as I was sitting there like the mom guilt just sort of took over And I was like, I don't feel comfortable here So I had to leave I mean, I'm a mom first, that's the way it is

01:48:50 - 01:48:55 | Speaker 1:

But why not call him though at least And say to him, hey, I'm really sorry I'm not coming back

01:48:55 - 01:49:08 | Speaker 4:

I guess I just didn't really like his attitude About the whole thing I could tell from his face that he was mad And it was like, I can't deal with someone like that I have children, I was honest about that

01:49:08 - 01:49:13 | Speaker 1:

But he sounded like he wanted you To go home right from the beginning Thomas, am I wrong in saying that?

01:49:14 - 01:49:20 | Speaker 2:

no no i uh i understand i think you got to do what you got to do you know

01:49:20 - 01:49:35 | Speaker 4:

you thought differently yeah i i he said that like he said those words but i didn't feel like they were genuine i don't know how to describe it it was just a feeling uh christina

01:49:35 - 01:49:45 | Speaker 2:

it was a little jarring you know i'm just saying like in my defense i was like caught off guard i wasn't sure what to do but i don't think i was rude about it

01:49:45 - 01:49:51 | Speaker 4:

christina what did you want to say i mean i guess in the moment it's like i'm worried about my

01:49:51 - 01:49:55 | Speaker 1:

children yeah christina christina what do you think when you're hearing them going back and

01:49:55 - 01:49:59 | Speaker 4:

forth right now okay so now that she has called back it's even

01:50:00 - 01:50:28 | Speaker 5:

more puzzling to me i'm confused so she did so she's like i'm not going back because he had an attitude but she also wants to know why he didn't call her back yes very confusing also i'm a mom so yes motherhood will always come first but to me it's sounding like she is always going to use her children as an excuse if she is like something's happening like that's the reason why you're not calling girlfriend you're not calling because you know like it's gonna look weird and now she's Blame it on her kids. I feel like she's always going to blame stuff on her kids.

01:50:29 - 01:50:33 | Speaker 4:

What do you think when you hear that, Sarah?

01:50:33 - 01:50:36 | Speaker 6:

It feels like mom's shaming, honestly.

01:50:36 - 01:50:44 | Speaker 4:

Well, everybody feels like they've been shamed some way, somehow. I don't know. Let's go to Brett.

01:50:44 - 01:50:53 | Speaker 2:

I think you should have called back. I think you should have called back. I understand the kid thing, but you should have called back. I mean, honestly, you should have been the one that did that, actually. Brett. In 2024, you could do.

01:50:54 - 01:50:55 | Speaker 4:

Brett, what did you want to say?

01:50:55 - 01:51:16 | Speaker 7:

i'm not a single dad but i've been in that situation if you're gonna leave you could at least gave them something towards the bill instead of leaving with it wait so do you think that this is about the bill no i'm just like it's common courtesy if you're just gonna get up and leave and not come back and know you're not gonna come back you could at least help pay for your

01:51:16 - 01:51:24 | Speaker 3:

half i mean she did order and eat part of her food i don't even think any of that is i think a A simple text message would have been very sufficient.

01:51:26 - 01:51:28 | Speaker 4:

What do you think, Kenny? Hi.

01:51:30 - 01:51:30 | Speaker 8:

Hi, guys.

01:51:31 - 01:51:31 | Speaker 4:

What's up, buddy?

01:51:31 - 01:51:56 | Speaker 8:

So I've got a quick question for her because I just realized what she said. So she said that apparently when she told him that she had to leave for Kim Lickick, blah, blah, blah, that he had an attitude and his demeanor was off. But if he had an attitude and his demeanor was off, why would you bother coming on Second Date Update to try to get a second date with him if you knew that night you didn't like his demeanor or attitude?

01:51:57 - 01:52:00 | Speaker 4:

Well, he even said that. Sarah, why?

01:52:02 - 01:52:10 | Speaker 6:

I guess I just felt guilty. I mean, like some of the things that you guys are saying, like I've thought about, I've had time. I'm like, okay, I could have handled that better. I agree.

01:52:10 - 01:52:16 | Speaker 4:

But it sounded like you wanted another date with him And that's why you got in touch with us

01:52:16 - 01:52:22 | Speaker 6:

Well I don't really get to go on many dates You know like

01:52:22 - 01:52:24 | Speaker 4:

Girl take care of your kids

01:52:24 - 01:52:45 | Speaker 6:

I don't have like time to myself I never get to do these things And like yeah he was really cute And like I did want to have a good time with him It just it got ruined And so I mean I don't know I don't know The whole thing is just like, I feel like I'm just failing at dating always. No, no, no. It's hard. It is hard.

01:52:45 - 01:52:48 | Speaker 4:

Now you feel bad, don't you? Yeah, I'm actually playing the same with the card.

01:52:49 - 01:52:57 | Speaker 3:

But also, I mean, you know, if she apologized to you, would you be willing or the ship has kind of sailed here?

01:52:59 - 01:52:59 | Unknown:

Thomas.

01:53:00 - 01:53:00 | Speaker 4:

Thomas?

01:53:00 - 01:53:02 | Speaker 6:

Yeah, like if you could see where I was coming from.

01:53:02 - 01:53:04 | Speaker 4:

Thomas, would you go on another date with her?

01:53:04 - 01:53:22 | Speaker 2:

honestly look after hearing everything i really respect what you're doing i really do um and i understand that your kids come first i think right now it's just going to be a tough time for you to date because you're going to have a hard time uh being consistent and i just need someone consistent

01:53:22 - 01:53:32 | Speaker 3:

right now i'm really sorry just to give you a heads up anybody who has kids is never going to be consistent hold on eric eric what did you want to say eric hey tommy why don't you stop being so

01:53:32 - 01:53:54 | Speaker 1:

01:54:50 - 01:54:55 | Speaker 4:

What I'll do is, don't tell the bosses this. I'll get rid of all the commercials.

01:54:55 - 01:54:55 | Speaker 3:

Oh, okay.

01:54:56 - 01:55:17 | Speaker 4:

I'll delete all the commercials today, and we'll just do none. stop. I mean, it's the Lions. I feel like heartbroken. 48 to 42. We lost to the Buffalo Bills in just a tough game. Coach Dan Campbell. Nothing changed from whether we won or lost

01:55:17 - 01:55:23 | Speaker 3:

today. We still got to win next week. I mean, it's the bottom line. So, so we got to bounce

01:55:23 - 01:55:39 | Speaker 4:

back there Sunday one o'clock and everybody was saying, and I, I don't know football well enough to comment on this, but they're saying that this kind of dashed our Super Bowl? No. Who said that? Those are bad fans. I was listening in on the way

01:55:39 - 01:55:44 | Speaker 7:

this morning. Who is it, 97-1? No, you know what I listen to in the morning. Oh, WWJ? Yeah. Oh, that guy's a moron.

01:55:44 - 01:55:50 | Speaker 4:

Those are bad fans. Okay. Well, Coach Dan Campbell says, I blame myself for this. You know, and ultimately,

01:55:50 - 01:56:15 | Speaker 3:

it's like I told the team, man. I didn't have those guys ready to go. Not like that. You know, not when you're playing a team like that and And, you know, that's with me, man. You know, we had a number of guys that, you know, have played a lot better than that just overall. And so that tells me that's me, man. I didn't have these guys completely ready to roll.

01:56:15 - 01:56:40 | Speaker 7:

There's still the pride of the NFC. The Eagles won two, so that means that obviously these guys are right up on the Lions' ass. The Lions do hold a tiebreaker. That game being as high-scoring as it was is actually a good thing because of the point tiebreaker thing. I think here's the deal. It showed the Lions that we got something that we got to work on and we got to get guys healthy. That's the biggest thing.

01:56:40 - 01:56:58 | Speaker 5:

And nobody's talking about the Lions offense and how we steamrolled the Bills defense the entire game. Everybody's talking about, oh, the Lions had injuries. Oh, they lost the game. And to be fair, the Bills did put up a lot of points at the very beginning of the game. That was scary. But for us to come back and match that, that should speak volumes.

01:56:58 - 01:57:10 | Speaker 3:

They were ready to go, and we knew they would be. We knew they'd have a sense of urgency coming off of that tough loss out there on the West Coast, and we just couldn't quite match it.

01:57:11 - 01:57:30 | Speaker 4:

In other football dirty today, two-way star Travis Hunter of Colorado won the Heisman Trophy on Saturday night. The wide receiver and cornerback dominated on both sides of the ball for Deion Sanders and the Buffaloes. He received 552 first-place votes and 2,231 points in a very comfortable victory. He barely came off the field this year.

01:57:30 - 01:57:56 | Speaker 7:

Yeah, he was playing both ways, which is like a high school thing to do, right? Go back to the NFL for a second. Two things. Patrick Mahomes is hurt. They're saying he's not broken, but his ankle's bad. So this could be bad. He's had some ankle issues in the past. And then did you see the wide receiver from the Miami Dolphins that got knocked out again? They have had more concussions on that team. That was one of the most jarring hits I've ever seen.

01:57:56 - 01:58:05 | Speaker 6:

That was the same team, the Houston Texans, who knocked out Trevor Lawrence. Really? The previous week. Remember that hit? Yeah. Same team.

01:58:06 - 01:58:34 | Speaker 4:

Okay, let's talk about these drones. These drones that are all over the East Coast that nobody seems to know anything about. Well, a good group of them were reported above two nuclear power plants in New Jersey. and briefly grounded flights at a New York-area airport on Friday. Reports of drones flying over New Jersey have continued to pour in with lawmakers demanding actions and answers from the federal government. This is New Jersey Representative Chris Smith.

01:58:34 - 01:58:46 | Speaker 1:

As societies increase, including by service members at Naval Weapons Station Earl, and I did talk to the commander there, his men are seeing it right there at the base.

01:58:46 - 01:59:06 | Speaker 4:

Are you kidding me? That little airport in New York, that public and military airport operated by the Port Authority of New York and New Jersey, that shut down briefly on Friday. But the FBI and the U.S. Department of Homeland Security have pushed back on the accuracy of many of the reports that we're hearing, suggesting that many of them are manned, legal aircrafts.

01:59:06 - 01:59:25 | Speaker 2:

But I don't know. There's no question that people are seeing drones. And I want to assure the American public that we in the federal government have deployed additional resources, personnel, technology to assist the New Jersey State Police in addressing the drone sightings.

01:59:25 - 01:59:48 | Speaker 7:

It's freaky to me. Yeah, they're not telling us something. I heard a CIA guy say that he believes that this is our government doing tests of things, but they can't tell you what the test is of. Like they're going to use drones that are in the shape of small SUVs. They say it's the shape of, like, a Chevy Blazer. That's how big these drones are. Yeah. The size-wise. But, I don't know.

01:59:48 - 01:59:55 | Speaker 4:

Even that, if they said, we can't give details, we know what they are, I think it would make a lot of people feel better.

01:59:55 - 01:59:59 | Speaker 7:

And then there's some there going way out there talking about how these drones.

02:00:00 - 02:00:18 | Speaker 2:

are up in the sky because they're searching for possible nuclear stuff that got snuck into the united states for potential terror sex i mean there's a lot of people that have crazy things that they're saying but i will say this you got to be able to come out and say something about hey we know what this is we're good instead of they're saying we don't know what it is it's like

02:00:18 - 02:01:19 | Speaker 4:

we just know what we have no clue billy eilish performing in arizona over the weekend when Somebody took it upon themselves. There we go. To throw a bracelet at her. Why do people do this? She stopped. It whipped her in the face. Yeah, visibly annoyed. Picked up the jewelry, threw it aside, restarted. She had spoken up against being pelted with things while on stage in the past, saying it is absolutely infuriating when you're up there, you're in a vulnerable position. She said she's been getting hit with stuff for years. I don't know already. And listen to this story. It's hysterical. There's a Georgia realtor named Jenny Smith, okay? And she had no idea that her beautiful, simple Christmas card would nearly cause a divorce. She sent cards to all of the people in her database. I mean, this is something that realtors do, including some people that she didn't know personally. She had their name and address somehow, some way. Well, one recipient, a man named David, left her this voicemail.

02:01:19 - 02:01:44 | Speaker 1:

Jenny this is David and you sent a Christmas card to my house by mistake and now my wife is accusing me of buying a house for a hidden girlfriend because supposedly you talked to me back in June that's my wife's number you need to straighten this out before it gets very very ugly I did not talk to you back in June please straighten this out so this realtor Jenny Smith

02:01:44 - 02:02:05 | Speaker 4:

called the wife she did and explained what had happened and she's like I grew up in a church where we just gave cards to everybody i still do that today in my business but this incident prompted her to share her story as a tiktok warning reminding people to be cautious about sending holiday cards to just anybody that they don't know speaking of that shannon

02:02:05 - 02:02:11 | Speaker 2:

last week you did a topic about your friends that did not send you a christmas card and you

02:02:11 - 02:02:16 | Speaker 4:

believe that it was because of your divorce guys i'm getting tons of cards are you open some of

02:02:16 - 02:02:16 | Speaker 2:

Who do we have?

02:02:17 - 02:02:20 | Speaker 4:

Okay, Jacqueline McPherson from Livonia.

02:02:21 - 02:02:22 | Speaker 2:

Beautiful family. Nice pictures, guys.

02:02:43 - 02:02:46 | Speaker 4:

Oh, my gosh. Look at the dogs. I love your dogs, Jen and the boys. Tim, Tim.

02:03:05 - 02:03:12 | Speaker 2:

By the way, this is interesting. Tim and Tim are married guys, right? Is that right? Am I right to say this? I think. And they have the same name. They're dating the same name.

02:03:12 - 02:03:13 | Speaker 4:

Stop. That's amazing.

02:03:14 - 02:03:14 | Speaker 2:

Tim, Tim and Paxton.

02:03:15 - 02:03:20 | Speaker 4:

This is from the, oh gosh, I'm going to butcher this. The Weatachis Monument Company.

Thank you. This seriously is the best ever.

02:03:28 - 02:03:34 | Speaker 2:

That's incredible. Thank you. You guys came to Shannon's aid now. Putting a smile on her face. Now you're going to be hanging in our studios.

02:04:37 - 02:04:38 | Speaker 2:

Have a great time.

02:04:39 - 02:04:43 | Speaker 3:

Thank you. I'm excited. I just heard about it, so I'm excited.

02:04:43 - 02:04:46 | Speaker 2:

I don't know if anybody's a fan of Kendrick Lamar. I think there's a couple out there.

02:04:46 - 02:04:47 | Speaker 3:

Oh, my gosh.

02:04:47 - 02:04:57 | Speaker 2:

We got Kendrick Lamar and SZA tickets coming up at 930 this morning, okay? So be listening for that. I'm listening to you.

02:04:57 - 02:04:58 | Speaker 3:

I'm telling my daughter to wake up.

02:04:58 - 02:04:58 | Speaker 2:

Yeah, you tell her.

02:04:58 - 02:04:59 | Speaker 3:

I'm telling my daughter to get up.

02:05:00 - 02:07:55 | Speaker 1:

All right. Oh, my God. All right. Hang on one second, and we'll get some information from you, okay? Okay. Thank you. All right. Thank you so much. I'm going to put you on hold for a second. I got a bunch of cards in front of me here that are blocking my mouse. There we go. I got them there. We're going to make sure we hang these. Put that up there. All right. It is Mojo in the Morning. So we're giving away tickets to go to see Jelly Roll Post Malone at 6.30. Then we got a trip to Miami, Florida to give away at 7.30. At 8.30, you just heard us just a moment ago, give away Nelly and Ja Rule tickets. And then at 9.30, not too shobby, Kendrick Lamar and SZA. um this would be a time to take your kids away from the radio this is not something that they should be listening to okay because it could go awry and not be good for them uh i uh do you ever get somebody to say something to you and it's like total tmi and it's to a point where you can't get it out of your head i i had this happen to me over the weekend i ran into a uh to a woman who dated a friend of mine and somebody you guys all know because I've talked about this person on the radio before dated a friend of mine and told me something that I wish I could unhear and I would like to do this topic because here's my question I'm going to ask what is something that you heard about a friend that you'll never be able to unhear something that you heard that a friend did or something that they were doing that you wish, after you heard it, you'll never be able to unhear because after you heard it, you'll never think the same of them ever again. I would love to know what your story is, your personal story. I know I don't know your friends, but this might be a therapeutic time for you. 844-MOJO-LIVE, 844-665-6548. Here is mine. I was told by this girl that I met that she dated one of my quote-unquote friends and she literally told me because i said oh you did oh god and made a joke about it you know like joking around you're dating this guy who's a friend of mine she goes yeah he had the most amazing mouth ever i was like oh stop it i don't want to hear about that mouth dude and i'm like going you can't say this stuff oh gross yeah and it got to a point where it got to a point where i'm thinking now we've hung out before i've literally watched this friend

02:07:55 - 02:08:28 | Speaker 1:

do things with his mouth he's talked with his mouth he's has he kissed your cheek he's no we've not i've never gotten a i'm not matter of fact i'm not gonna get a cheek kiss from him ever uh i've seen him eat i like i'm like going oh he's great with his mouth and then i thought to myself i'm like going oh no wonder why man similar situation my way i don't know what's up you want Dump. Oh, okay. Dump. You could equally say, you could equally say if you wanted to. That dump, by the way? I think it did, yes. My dump button went off. My bad.

02:08:28 - 02:08:29 | Speaker 2:

If Colleen runs in here.

02:08:30 - 02:09:13 | Speaker 1:

You could equally say, Cav, just go, same thing with my friend, for those that missed on the dump. For the same thing with my friend, my friend was told that he blah, blah, blah, and his same thing was with his mouth, too. You can't say, you can just say mouth. You can say, but he, you know. Backdoor? okay you can say that right no but here's the deal you can't say the back door so whenever you hear things about your friend that you don't necessarily want to hear don't tell me I don't even want to hear Kevin say what he just said I really don't okay I have one do I have to dump you no no no

02:09:13 - 02:09:22 | Speaker 2:

this is She's not necessarily a friend of mine But I know her But I was told that she is very stinky

02:09:22 - 02:09:30 | Speaker 1:

Ooh Stinky Stinky in places Oh okay like that By the way this doesn't have to be sexual

02:09:30 - 02:09:37 | Speaker 2:

No I know but now unfortunately Every time I see her I think about that And I did not need to know that

02:09:37 - 02:10:00 | Speaker 1:

Smelly Christmas Yeah Vagina Okay, I'll give you another one, too. I found out another friend of mine embezzled money. This is totally off-sexual. Yeah, embezzled money from his work, and that was the reason why he got... And we're not necessarily friends anymore, but I found out that he...

02:10:00 - 02:10:34 | Speaker 2:

he was taking so much money from this company, but it was for a long period of time, that they believed that other people were doing it, and other people were getting let go, and it was him the whole time that was doing it. That's a bad one. He was just sitting back watching. He was just sitting back, pretending that it wasn't him, and putting other people and throwing other people under the bus. Voice Disguise, B, what did you hear about a friend that you wish you never heard? B? hello how are you i'm good how are you fantastic you're being voice disguised

02:10:34 - 02:10:57 | Speaker 3:

so yeah um i have a friend who i just recently found out has given his girlfriend herps oh and he gave it to her while she was pregnant oh man that's awful that's If it makes you feel any better, I'm pretty sure she has the herps.

02:10:57 - 02:11:24 | Speaker 2:

That's horrible. So, wait. So, he gave it to her and did not know that he had it? He gave it to her. Oh, oh. Man. Oh, that's awful. Did you hear about the Buffalo Bills player that right now is getting sued by a whole bunch of women, a former Buffalo Bills wide receiver, getting sued by a bunch of women because he gave so many women venereal diseases over time and knew that he had them.

02:11:24 - 02:11:26 | Speaker 3:

Maybe they know my friends. Really? Yeah, really.

02:11:27 - 02:11:32 | Speaker 2:

God, that's horrible when you hear stories like that. Thank you for the call. I appreciate it. Cody, hi.

02:11:34 - 02:11:34 | Speaker 1:

How's it going, guys?

02:11:35 - 02:11:36 | Speaker 2:

What's going on?

02:11:37 - 02:11:44 | Speaker 1:

So, a buddy of mine, this had been like 10 years ago, told me that he wanted to try some backdoor stuff with his old lady.

02:11:45 - 02:11:45 | Speaker 2:

Yeah.

02:11:45 - 02:11:47 | Speaker 1:

And she said she'd only do it.

02:11:47 - 02:11:47 | Speaker 2:

Okay.

02:11:48 - 02:12:04 | Speaker 1:

You can't say that. What did he say? I don't trust him. I don't trust him. He was safe on the back door. That's the last thing I'd say. Anyway, only way she would let him is if she got to use a cucumber. Oh, okay.

02:12:04 - 02:12:09 | Speaker 3:

I told you. Listen to me next time.

02:12:09 - 02:12:12 | Speaker 4:

I thought it was fine. Are you kidding me? I thought it was okay.

02:12:13 - 02:12:13 | Speaker 2:

Okay.

02:12:13 - 02:12:16 | Speaker 4:

I packed cucumbers in my kid's lunch today.

02:12:16 - 02:13:29 | Speaker 2:

so so he's basically it was basically like a tit for tat type thing huh boy boy i in in and he said yes to that yeah oh my god what is this guy i'm sorry i'm sorry by the way if chelsea were to say to me not the whole cucumber thing but if chelsea were to say to me that she would that we could do fun things but i had to like get on the treadmill more often i'd be on the treadmill all the time i was thinking about this this weekend i was on the treadmill i've been doing the treadmill now if i can every day for 30 minutes that's my goal that's amazing good i've been really focused on this and i'm on the treadmill going you know i could have done this years ago if chelsea gave me the incentive of like being naked in front of the treadmill like she's like go downstairs and watch like a tv show or something like that which is what i'm doing right now i'm like binge watching stuff but if She was naked in front, and it was my perception that I would eventually catch her. Yeah. You know? It's like the little carrot dangling. It would be the, or the cucumber. Or the, oh, you can't say Gucci. Wait, hold on. No, you can't. What's up, Baby Lake Jay? Kevin, Kevin, are you off for the holidays yet? You should be off for the holidays. Definitely. Why don't you take off? We'll give you some extra time. What's going on, Baby Lake Jay? What's going on, Misfit? What's up?

02:13:29 - 02:13:31 | Speaker 4:

Hey, good morning, guys. How y'all doing? Good morning.

02:13:31 - 02:13:39 | Speaker 2:

What is it that you heard about a friend that you'll never be able to ever look at them the same way again?

02:13:39 - 02:13:43 | Speaker 5:

Oh, yeah. That's a screamer. So a friend of mine, Lydia, I already did a bet.

02:13:45 - 02:13:54 | Speaker 2:

I didn't hear. Lydia, can you tell people that they cannot say that? You can say oral. No, I don't. He can't say that.

02:13:54 - 02:13:56 | Speaker 4:

You guys are no fun around here.

02:13:56 - 02:13:57 | Speaker 2:

It's legal.

02:13:58 - 02:14:04 | Speaker 5:

It's a baggie. You are literally the cussing police. Do I cuss on the air?

02:14:05 - 02:14:10 | Speaker 2:

Do you take the test? Do you take the test? You got to take the test. The eye hurt test. So baby like Jay.

02:14:11 - 02:14:14 | Speaker 3:

It's about keeping our jobs.

02:14:14 - 02:14:15 | Unknown:

Oh, my God, Megan.

02:14:16 - 02:14:19 | Speaker 2:

Wait, baby like Jay, don't even tell me what he did.

02:14:19 - 02:14:20 | Speaker 3:

How am I the bad guy here?

02:14:21 - 02:14:22 | Speaker 2:

What was he trying to do?

02:14:23 - 02:14:31 | Speaker 5:

What he was trying to do was what he did. So he ended up going through with it with another guy behind the counter, behind the curtain at the movie theater.

02:14:31 - 02:14:33 | Speaker 2:

And what was the reasoning of why you did that?

02:14:35 - 02:14:39 | Speaker 5:

No guess as good as mine, but I know I ain't smoking with him, though.

02:14:40 - 02:14:48 | Speaker 2:

Yeah, so he's smoking with him. Wait, you're not going to pass the same joints back and forth to each other?

02:14:49 - 02:14:51 | Speaker 5:

Nah, he's out there in circle now.

02:14:52 - 02:15:00 | Speaker 2:

By the way, they always say that a mouth has no gender, so don't worry about it. Thank you for the call. We appreciate it.

02:15:00 - 02:15:09 | Speaker 3:

02:15:37 - 02:15:38 | Speaker 1:

hot dogs. Okay, we don't have to.

02:15:39 - 02:15:44 | Speaker 3:

We don't have to. That's okay. Tony, where's Tony Trelova?

02:15:44 - 02:15:46 | Speaker 1:

Why are we heavy breathing, you guys?

02:15:47 - 02:15:48 | Speaker 3:

Where's Tony Trelova? Tony came out of his office

02:15:48 - 02:15:50 | Speaker 4:

and gave me a look at the beginning of the air.

02:15:51 - 02:16:04 | Speaker 3:

I liked hot dogs. Jason, hold on a second. Hold on a second, Jason. Sweating. Oh, this is a day. This is a day a day a day. Happy Monday. Is this a Monday? Is it only Monday?

02:16:05 - 02:16:11 | Speaker 4:

He's coming in. Oh no, first he's going to get Colleen. We are in serious trouble.

02:16:12 - 02:16:20 | Speaker 3:

Tony. Tony. Here, peek your head out the door. You think he's listening? You think he's talking about us?

02:16:20 - 02:16:23 | Speaker 4:

You want me to tell him to come here? He does not have a happy look on his face.

02:16:25 - 02:16:25 | Speaker 3:

Tony.

02:16:29 - 02:16:40 | Speaker 4:

Don't bring it up. I dare you to ask him to like hot dogs.

02:16:43 - 02:16:55 | Speaker 3:

Hello, Mr. Program Director. Tony, can you sit down with Lydia and Kevin and have a private what you can and cannot say on the radio conversation with them?

02:16:55 - 02:17:03 | Speaker 2:

We need to go Radio 101, apparently. I heard we dumped, but it did dump, so I didn't hear what was said.

02:17:04 - 02:17:17 | Speaker 4:

I thought, so you can say ass, but you can't say the second word, right? That's why we do M-I-V-A-H-O. So in my mind, ass is okay. It's the things that you say in front of the word ass that I'm not sure of.

02:17:17 - 02:17:23 | Speaker 3:

No, it's things like you're an ass is okay to say, but you can't talk about things you do with your...

02:17:23 - 02:17:24 | Speaker 2:

That's right. So that's the problem.

02:17:26 - 02:17:27 | Speaker 3:

It cannot be sexual.

02:17:28 - 02:17:39 | Speaker 2:

Exactly. Do you remember the conversation we had at lunch about two years ago with the podcast guy? Oh, yeah, yeah, yeah. Do you remember that? He had the best explanation I've ever heard about what you can and can't say.

02:17:39 - 02:17:40 | Speaker 5:

Let's remind everybody.

02:17:40 - 02:17:46 | Speaker 2:

Tell me. You can't talk about things going in and out of the body. Yeah. I didn't say.

02:17:47 - 02:17:59 | Speaker 5:

Did I say anything going in and out? Yeah. No, I did not. I said eat. Oh, God. That's not going in and out. All right. All right. Tell me. So even him saying the word eat gets...

02:17:59 - 02:18:02 | Speaker 3:

All right, stop it. All right, all right, we're done. Meeting after the show.

02:18:03 - 02:18:06 | Speaker 5:

Can you just tell everybody I'm not the bad guy for following laws?

02:18:06 - 02:18:14 | Speaker 3:

Is there a way that we can... Can we sign out? Which conference room should we sign out? We may have to show a video.

02:18:17 - 02:18:19 | Speaker 5:

Shannon's Dirty coming up in less than 30.

02:18:19 - 02:18:21 | Speaker 1:

Give it some mojo in the morning.

02:18:22 - 02:18:41 | Speaker 3:

Oh, this is a day. And you turned the mic off, too. By the way, Daniel just told me they ran out of dumps down in Toledo. They now need more dumps down there. What's up, Sarah? It's Mojo in the Morning. Hi. Hi. How are you? Fantastic, Sarah. What's happening with you?

02:18:43 - 02:19:22 | Speaker 1:

Well, first I want to say, first time, long time. Yeah, Sarah's on the phone. How are you, though? Thanks for calling. I mean, literally, I've been listening to you for, like, 20 years, that I've never called, so this is a huge deal. Oh, we love you. So, thank you. Last night, I was at the Lions game, and I was waiting to go up to my suite by the elevator, and it took like 10 minutes, and then all of a sudden, I get in the elevator, and somebody in the elevator says, oh, my God, Mojo from Mojo in the Morning was just right outside, and he almost got in here. And I'm like, what? I was so upset because I thought I missed meeting you by like 10 seconds.

02:19:22 - 02:19:25 | Speaker 3:

It was not me. Unfortunately, it was not me.

02:19:25 - 02:19:26 | Speaker 1:

It wasn't you.

02:19:26 - 02:19:31 | Speaker 3:

No. I would have loved to have been there. Can I tell you what I was doing instead of that?

02:19:32 - 02:19:32 | Speaker 4:

Yeah.

02:19:33 - 02:19:36 | Speaker 3:

I was at a seven-year-old's birthday party yesterday.

02:19:37 - 02:19:38 | Speaker 5:

Oh, wow.

02:19:38 - 02:20:00 | Speaker 3:

Isn't that sweet? No, it's not. And I love this girl. She's like, seriously, she's like a little daughter to me. She's our niece. I love her. She's the cutest thing ever. and I absolutely love her every other time than during a lion's dance. And to show you the most amazing thing,

02:20:00 - 02:20:23 | Speaker 1:

Part of this whole thing. Her dad, Will, this is our friends Will and Jessica's daughter, Sloan. Will used to work for the Lions. And when Chelsea said to me, hey, we're going to Sloan's birthday tomorrow. I said, okay, great. What time are we going to the birthday? Thinking, this is great. We can go early. There's no game at 1 o'clock. She's at 445. I go, 445?

02:20:23 - 02:20:25 | Speaker 5:

Oh, my gosh. Can't call time.

02:20:25 - 02:20:34 | Speaker 1:

Will worked for the Lions, for God's sakes. He knows what time the game was on. I wonder what the guy looked like that looked like you. I don't know. You think he was good looking, Sarah?

02:20:34 - 02:20:45 | Speaker 2:

No, I did not see him. I did not see him. That's why. And I was so mad because it took forever for the elevator to come. And then, yeah, I thought I missed you. But I'm glad it wasn't you because the whole game I was thinking, oh, I missed Mojo. Oh, Sarah.

02:20:46 - 02:20:52 | Speaker 1:

Sarah, you talk to Lydia right now. And if you have the ability to do this, you can come into our studio sometime and hang out with us, okay?

02:20:53 - 02:21:00 | Speaker 2:

You know what? The headquarters for Matt, the company I work for, is in Eastern Market. So it's probably really fun. Oh, my God, get your butt over here.

02:21:00 - 02:21:03 | Speaker 1:

You're our neighbor. Hold on one second. I'll put you on the phone, and you can talk to Lydia, okay?

02:21:04 - 02:21:04 | Speaker 2:

Okay.

02:21:05 - 02:22:06 | Speaker 1:

All right, hold on one second. Just a quick question for you, and this is being honest. What took you away from being able to watch, like, a game or a big game or the game? Like, I was thinking about this yesterday. Like, I'm going, I don't even know if I would, like, miss a game for my child's own birthday party. You know what I mean? But I had to do it because I couldn't look at, like at least my kid I could look at and go, you know what, kid? You'll have more birthdays. Don't worry about it. You know, I'm your dad. I'll take care of you. Sloan, if I don't show up at the thing, forever she'll look at me because I have no blood ties to her. She'll look at me and go, that guy missed my birthday party. You know what I mean? So I had to like be there. And I thought about this, like the birth of your child, which if the Lions were in the NFC Championship or the Super Bowl, And your, you know, wife was about to give birth to a baby, guys. Would you tell her she's doing it on her own or with her mom?

02:22:06 - 02:22:07 | Speaker 3:

You would be a dead man.

02:22:08 - 02:22:08 | Speaker 1:

Really?

02:22:08 - 02:22:10 | Speaker 3:

Yes. There's no way. The Lions.

02:22:10 - 02:22:13 | Speaker 1:

No way. Shannon, tell me the last time the Lions were in a Super Bowl.

02:22:13 - 02:22:19 | Speaker 3:

I have no idea. Never. Come on. Really? Never. Yeah. Okay. Still, no.

02:22:19 - 02:22:26 | Speaker 1:

No. Ever. So you know what that means? You can watch it back. When's the last time you had a child? Eh, a year or two years ago, probably. Right?

02:22:26 - 02:22:30 | Speaker 3:

I mean, seriously. Every birth deserves its own story.

02:22:31 - 02:22:39 | Speaker 1:

And I don't know, when is the Super Bowl? The Super Bowl is in February. If the Lions make it to the Super Bowl, knock on wood, God, please. You can watch it in the delivery room.

02:22:39 - 02:22:44 | Speaker 3:

So that's okay. I apologize for the last week we just had the word. If I was pushing out a baby, I'd want to be watching it, too.

02:22:45 - 02:22:52 | Speaker 1:

Oh, I would say, Dr. Werner, hold off on the birth. We got an eight-hour game. You can't just be like, stay in.

02:22:53 - 02:22:54 | Speaker 3:

Hang on.

02:22:54 - 02:23:00 | Speaker 1:

Or give birth in the morning during the boring pregame shows, and then let me go home afterwards. What's up, Kristen? How you doing?

02:23:01 - 02:23:05 | Speaker 3:

Good. First time, long time. Hey, Kristen's on the phone.

02:23:06 - 02:23:07 | Speaker 1:

What's happening?

02:23:08 - 02:23:16 | Speaker 3:

The comment about they thought they saw you in the elevator, I was thinking maybe they saw Jay Towers in the elevator and were thinking it was you.

02:23:16 - 02:23:22 | Speaker 1:

You know what? That's actually funny. That is good. It probably was. It could have been Jay. I love it.

02:23:22 - 02:23:25 | Speaker 3:

You do have those similarities. We are.

02:23:25 - 02:23:29 | Speaker 1:

Who's better looking, though? I think he is. I think he's way better looking. What's going on, Sarah?

02:23:32 - 02:23:35 | Speaker 2:

Hey. No, that's our Sarah. That was Sarah, who you just talked to.

02:23:35 - 02:23:43 | Speaker 1:

Oh, that's Sarah I just talked to. Oh, geez. Okay, hold on. You were on hold. I put you on hold, and I didn't realize I went right back to you. Let's go to Amy. Hi, Amy.

02:23:44 - 02:24:07 | Speaker 5:

Hey. Hi. So I was born at halftime of the Super Bowl. No way. Yeah. And 25 years later, I went into labor and gave birth to my daughter at halftime of the Super Bowl. Oh, my gosh. I called my dad in the morning to tell him we were going to the hospital, and he said, you can't do this to me twice in one lifetime. Oh, my God.

02:24:07 - 02:24:18 | Speaker 1:

By the way, I hope if the Lions make it to the Super Bowl, you don't have anybody else in your family that's given birth during halftime of the Super Bowl. That's Henrik Lamar time for me.

02:24:18 - 02:24:20 | Speaker 5:

We have no risk this year at all.

02:24:20 - 02:24:27 | Speaker 1:

That's fantastic. Well, thank you for the call. What a great story, though. That's pretty crazy. What's up, Joan? How you doing?

02:24:28 - 02:24:55 | Speaker 4:

Good. My oldest son was born on a Super Bowl, and I actually had a Super Bowl party, a house full of people, and my mother called to check on me, and I said, man, my back's killing me. I overdid it today. She goes, I think you're in labor. I go, no, I'm not in labor. No, no, no. Well, I waited, waited a little longer, ended up going to the hospital. Well, after everyone left and I cleaned up the house and I had the baby within 15 minutes to get into the house.

02:24:55 - 02:24:59 | Speaker 1:

Oh, my goodness. Wait, but you waited until after the Super Bowl was over with.

02:25:00 - 02:25:01 | Unknown:

Of course.

02:25:02 - 02:25:03 | Speaker 5:

That's dangerous. You know what?

02:25:04 - 02:25:10 | Speaker 2:

You are seriously. Every guy that's listening to this right now is so hot for you for saying what you just said.

02:25:11 - 02:25:26 | Speaker 5:

Well, they also don't know this about me. I write Roger Goodell once a month. For what? Because I've been trying to get Super Bowl tickets. Because of that story? My husband said, yeah, well, that too. And I was born on the same day as Michael Strahan.

02:25:27 - 02:25:29 | Speaker 2:

Oh, jeez. Man, she knows it all.

02:25:29 - 02:25:45 | Speaker 5:

Yeah, yeah, and I put that in all my letters. Well, finally, the NFL sent me back more than one response, but they put me in a lottery in 2019. Nice. I didn't win, but I'm going to go this year if the Lions are in it.

02:25:45 - 02:25:53 | Speaker 2:

Oh, you got to. Seriously, I don't even care if you go just to hang out in front of the Superdome. You got to go. Janet, what's up?

02:25:54 - 02:25:55 | Speaker 4:

Hey, how are you?

02:25:55 - 02:25:56 | Speaker 2:

Good. What's going on?

02:25:56 - 02:26:15 | Speaker 4:

uh we ditched my uh now daughter-in-law she was my future daughter-in-law at the time uh me and my son had a split and go down to the playoff game wait what did your future daughter-in-law have going on at that time her bridal shower oh geez oh my god was this last year so the mother-in-law

02:26:15 - 02:26:20 | Speaker 2:

was not there and the groom was not there oh my god did you guys get talked about at the thing

02:26:20 - 02:26:27 | Speaker 4:

they probably said that you're a horrible they probably did they probably weren't happy that We've sold our ticket on top of it. Oh, Tiki!

02:26:27 - 02:26:31 | Speaker 2:

Who plans a bridal shower when the Lions are in the playoffs?

02:26:33 - 02:26:39 | Speaker 1:

You plan those things so far in advance. That's the problem. You didn't anticipate it. Oh, God.

02:26:39 - 02:26:42 | Speaker 2:

You can't do it. All right, well, thank you for the call. I appreciate you.

02:26:43 - 02:26:44 | Speaker 4:

Okay, thanks.

02:26:44 - 02:26:46 | Speaker 2:

Mojo in the mornings, dirty on the 30.

02:27:48 - 02:27:54 | Speaker 2:

All right. We're going to get you caught up on what is trending in the Dirty on the 30s. Shannon, what you got?

02:27:54 - 02:28:21 | Speaker 1:

Well, I want to start off with an update to something that we've kind of been following for the past couple of months. ABC News has agreed to pay $15 million toward Donald Trump's presidential library to settle a lawsuit over anchor George Stephanopoulos' claim that the president-elect had been found civilly liable for raping a writer named E. Jean Carroll. This happened in an interview. God, when was that?

02:28:22 - 02:28:25 | Speaker 2:

It was more than six months ago.

02:28:25 - 02:28:44 | Speaker 1:

Maybe like in April, I believe, if I'm remembering correctly. But ABC also going to have to post a note on its website expressing regret over what was said during that segment. Excuse me, it was March. During the March 10th segment, to be exact, on Stephanopoulos' This Week program and also pay a million dollars in legal fees to Trump's lawyers.

02:28:44 - 02:29:38 | Speaker 2:

And that was actually a settlement because he could have gotten more, they said. And one of the things that a lot of people thought he was going to get was he was going to make them have to do like a whole like show retraction. And at the last minute, I think he was just like, let's just let this thing get away. The reasoning was he was not found guilty of raping that E.G. and Carro. carol they said it was assaulting and george stefanopoulos who i guess writes his own scripts said multiple times in that interview uh yeah he raped her he raped her he raped her right and uh now they're saying that cbs is under fire because they did uh some editing on an interview and he's suing them so there's some of these networks that are going to end up getting uh getting in trouble for this but i don't know it's interesting the woman who accused jay-z

02:29:38 - 02:29:59 | Speaker 1:

and diddy of raping her when she was just 13 years old sitting down with nbc news to share some new details about the night the assault happened this woman is now 38 she lives in alabama she said she's been quiet in terms of sharing her story until now because she felt like nobody would believe her this was back in 2000 in.

02:30:00 - 02:30:09 | Speaker 4:

the MTV VMAs. At the after party she says she had a drink that made her feel woozy. Then she says Combs and Carter took turns raping her while a female celebrity watched.

02:30:09 - 02:30:33 | Speaker 3:

J.C. comes in and rapes me. Well he's, well he at that point I was fighting trying to get away from him and he put his hand over my mouth and told me to stop it cut you know stop it cut the she said while she couldn't get into the

02:30:33 - 02:30:38 | Speaker 5:

actual vmas a limo driver who claimed to work for diddy said no worries i'll take you to the

02:30:38 - 02:30:51 | Speaker 3:

after party i stumbled upon diddy's driver who told me that i was exactly what diddy was looking for what did you think when he said that to you i thought it meant that i was just pretty

02:30:51 - 02:30:56 | Speaker 4:

She went to a White House, she says, where she spoke to musicians Benji Madden and his brother.

02:30:56 - 02:31:12 | Speaker 3:

I'm talking to Benji Madden about his tattoo because, you know, I have a, it's about his tattoo that's the Last Supper because I have a religious background. So it was just something to talk about.

02:31:12 - 02:31:21 | Speaker 4:

In a statement to NBC News, a representative of the Maddens confirmed that they did not attend the 2000 VMAs and that they were on tour in the Midwest at the time.

02:31:21 - 02:32:13 | Speaker 5:

The woman also said in her story that after this happened, she ran to a gas station when she escaped the after party, called her dad, who drove several hours to pick her up. Dad said he does not recall making that drive. So some inconsistencies in her story. And Jay-Z is reacting to those inconsistencies, sharing a statement over the weekend that reads in part, Today's investigative report proves this attorney, in quotation marks, Tony Busby, filed a false complaint against me in the pursuit of money and fame. This incident didn't happen, and yet he filed in court and doubled down in the press. He continued, true justice is coming. We fight from victory, not for victory. After sharing that he has lost 120 pounds during his weight loss journey, Jelly Roll announced on an episode of his wife's podcast that he has a new goal.

02:32:13 - 02:32:44 | Speaker 1:

i want to be on the cover of men's health by march of 2026 let's go that's my new goals i want to have one of the biggest transformations also this is where i'm at oh i'm so glad we're talking about all i did this publicly for a reason i want to be honest about my struggles with it with people i wore it for so long i think that people that become as big as i became when they lose the weight they're kind of ashamed they're so ashamed that they go hide and lose the weight and then they come back out and they don't really know how to interact with the world looking different or feeling different and they kind of got to find their whole new way i wanted

02:32:44 - 02:32:51 | Speaker 5:

to lose it in front of everybody good for him yeah i know that's my goal too he he did you know

02:32:51 - 02:33:28 | Speaker 2:

our jingle ball like a year or so ago and i remember coming in right afterwards the next day and just talking about how like we did with teddy how amazing of a guy he is we also were having a conversation that you know he didn't look healthy at all because he was so big and he talked about that backstage when we were having discussion about the show and he just said I said is there anything you cannot do and he said the one thing I cannot do is I cannot get healthy and I need to get healthy he knew even at Jingle Ball yeah that it was time and sometimes you just have to have that right in your face and realize that this is your life that we're talking about here

02:33:28 - 02:33:46 | Speaker 5:

so that's amazing good for him and lastly Scott Disick gave him and Kourtney Kardashian's eldest This son, Mason, first of all, do you know he's 15 years old now? He is? Holy crap. Oh, my God. Gave him a miniature version of his own car, a mini Mercedes-Benz G-Class wagon.

02:33:46 - 02:33:47 | Speaker 2:

Oh, God.

02:33:47 - 02:33:57 | Speaker 5:

He has to wait six months before he can actually get his, like, you know, permit to even drive this thing. But it looks like a, almost looks like the size of, like, a golf cart. But it's a mini G-Wagon.

02:33:57 - 02:34:09 | Speaker 2:

Wow. Can I mention some? Sanity. Can I mention one last thing for your dirty? Yeah. Last night was the series finale of Yellowstone. Oh, I'm so behind. No spoilers on this one. I'm not going to give you spoilers.

02:34:10 - 02:34:10 | Speaker 5:

Okay.

02:34:10 - 02:34:15 | Speaker 2:

But it was pretty wild to see how they wrapped it up. I thought they did a great job.

02:34:15 - 02:34:18 | Speaker 5:

Is it done done? And now we have the spinoff, the Beth Rip spinoff.

02:34:18 - 02:34:21 | Speaker 2:

Well, that's been a rumor, right, that they're talking about doing that? It's happening.

02:34:22 - 02:34:22 | Speaker 5:

I mean, contracts are signed.

02:34:22 - 02:34:56 | Speaker 2:

It is? Yep. So all I will say in this one, and I will not give out anything of who has what, but um the everything comes to close with the ranch they figure out what they're going to do with the ranch and there is a major development at the end of this whole thing and i love that so yellowstone is one of those shows that i don't know how you do it but it's one of those shows where they got they lost their main star because of contracts with costner and stuff yeah and they were able to finish it off they did a great job of finishing off all right for all of today's

02:35:32 - 02:35:34 | Speaker 4:

02:35:34 - 02:35:50 | Speaker 2:

Good. When I think of principals, I always think, oh, God, I never want to get called down to the principal's office. Your guys are stern. You're enforcers. You keep the rules. But you have a heart. I can't believe that you guys have hearts. Come on. When I... Listen.

02:35:51 - 02:35:53 | Speaker 4:

I'm sorry to take that out.

02:35:54 - 02:35:57 | Speaker 2:

I shouldn't tell anybody, right? Should I keep it quiet? No, don't.

02:35:58 - 02:36:02 | Speaker 4:

Yeah, you got to keep it quiet. I still have to be tough. I don't want them to know I'm sorry.

02:36:02 - 02:36:03 | Speaker 3:

Mojo, you know what she just did?

02:36:04 - 02:36:04 | Speaker 2:

What's that?

02:36:04 - 02:36:18 | Speaker 3:

She just called the grandma and said that school was delayed, the buses are delayed, and she was squatting behind the car right in front of their house so that she wouldn't see that she was outside. That's the dedication we're talking about here.

02:36:18 - 02:36:45 | Speaker 2:

So this woman, KP, you are right. She is dedicated, and she's awesome. We've got another situation where grandma's raising her grandkids, and this principal is also helping too because she's noticed that these kids have been without and you've dipped into your own pockets to make sure that these kids have everything that they need and I'm going to say this to you as a parent, I want my kids to be educated by somebody like you and I thank you for that

02:36:45 - 02:36:48 | Speaker 4:

thank you, you guys are awesome

02:36:48 - 02:37:30 | Speaker 2:

this morning's wish is going to bring some tears to you so get the Kleenex ready and I think that we all ran out from last week Friday's wish But here we go. Lydia, can we dial up Grandma? We do. Let's get her on the phone here. All right. It's Mojo in the Morning Break and entering Christmas Wish. Go to mojoswish.org to find out more about our great program that every single year brings Christmas to so many. Hello. Hello. Good morning. Hi. Is this a grandma to Aaron and Adrian and Ariane? and Arielle and Taylor. Am I right in saying that?

02:37:31 - 02:37:36 | Speaker 4:

Yes. I'm an actor Taylor and a grandma to all the other ones.

02:37:36 - 02:37:39 | Speaker 2:

Hi, Grandma. This is Mojo from Mojo in the Morning.

02:37:41 - 02:37:50 | Speaker 4:

What? We love that reaction. Oh, my God. Really?

02:37:50 - 02:38:15 | Speaker 2:

I have to tell you that all of us here on our show, we do the Mojo in the Morning show. Shannon and Megan and Kev and Lydia, KP, and Zach, we heard so many nice things about you from your grandbaby's principal, Principal Trice. Oh, my God. And she wrote this beautiful letter to us telling us about how you're like Grandma of the Year, and I'm going to have her read it to you, okay?

02:38:16 - 02:38:18 | Speaker 4:

Oh, my God.

02:38:19 - 02:38:19 | Speaker 2:

Here, take a listen.

02:38:20 - 02:39:49 | Speaker 4:

Dear Mojo in the morning, my name is Felicia Trice, and I am the principal of Pleasant View Elementary. I'm writing to ask for a breaking and entering Christmas wish to be granted to Ms. Andrea Lee. Ms. Lee is the grandmother of Adrian, Aaron, Shontez, Ariel, and Ariana. She is a hardworking grandparent that had to abruptly take custody of these five beautiful children. The first time I met her, my heart went out to her as her life changed, and she is no longer just the grandmother of these five beautiful babies, but now their caregiver. She needs our support. She works tirelessly for 12-plus hours every day to provide for the children, while always making sure the babies get off the school and keeping food on the table.

02:39:50 - 02:39:51 | Unknown:

Wow.

02:39:51 - 02:39:52 | Speaker 3:

Wow.

02:39:55 - 02:39:56 | Speaker 2:

That was all about you?

02:39:58 - 02:39:59 | Speaker 1:

You have an incredible...

02:40:00 - 02:40:11 | Speaker 4:

friend in principal Felicia, don't you? She's such a beautiful lady. She's your angel. She is your angel. Wow.

02:40:12 - 02:40:27 | Speaker 2:

When you hear the things that she's asking of you, they're things that everybody should have. You should be able to have all of that. She's not asking much. And that's why we want to help you out. And that's why we're knocking on your door right now.

02:40:27 - 02:40:28 | Speaker 4:

Good morning.

02:40:30 - 02:40:38 | Speaker 5:

Oh, my God. Oh, my goodness. Hi. Who's this over here?

02:40:39 - 02:40:41 | Speaker 2:

Grandma, that is KP.

02:40:41 - 02:40:42 | Speaker 5:

02:41:42 - 02:41:45 | Speaker 5:

02:42:13 - 02:42:21 | Speaker 5:

They're all hugging the principal right now. All the kids are piling out. They're hugging the train. Who did he talk about all the time?

02:42:21 - 02:42:26 | Speaker 2:

The grandbabies are, for our listeners, as young as four.

02:42:27 - 02:42:31 | Speaker 4:

Four, six, eight, ten, eleven, and twelve.

02:42:32 - 02:42:40 | Speaker 2:

And every single one of them is going to get everything that was on their Christmas list from breaking and entering Christmas Wish.

02:42:42 - 02:43:04 | Speaker 5:

We got everything on your list. Oh, my God. This is true. we can start piling this can we take some of these in your house oh oh my goodness grandma grandma here we go mo just got a question for you you know the job of

02:43:04 - 02:43:22 | Speaker 2:

raising kids is never done once you have those kids and those kids grow old you're always there right as grandma and i know it's the great the greatest gift in the world that you have to be a grandma those babies are so blessed to have you in their life thank you so much and i'm so blessed

You are their grandmother. And you're there for a reason. It's a reason why you're there.

02:43:52 - 02:43:53 | Speaker 2:

Keeping the family together.

02:43:55 - 02:43:55 | Unknown:

Yeah.

02:43:58 - 02:44:20 | Speaker 5:

On top of... You can see just the love in this house. The coffee table covered with photos of family. They've got their Christmas tree out. We're putting all the gifts under the tree. Oh, that's beautiful. we may need spices free of just a bit but hey oh my god you guys you you can decide grandma

02:44:20 - 02:44:32 | Speaker 2:

because you're the boss we all know this you decide when those kids get to open up all those gifts they can open them up today or opening them up on christmas day but santa has arrived at your

02:45:00 - 02:45:06 | Speaker 5:

It's the other way around. I've been talking to a radio personality in like 30 years. I won something off the radio.

02:45:06 - 02:45:12 | Speaker 1:

White Castle. Oh, did you really? For real. Who did you win that from 30 years ago? I want to know.

02:45:12 - 02:45:19 | Speaker 5:

30 years ago. Maybe it was. And my sister, she won $1,000, and I got mad. I called back, and I won White Castle.

02:45:19 - 02:45:25 | Speaker 1:

White Castle. White Castle. White Castle. I won the White Castle. He was on the toilet.

02:45:25 - 02:45:33 | Speaker 5:

Thank you guys from the bottom of my heart. This is overwhelming. I'm overwhelmed.

02:45:58 - 02:46:02 | Speaker 1:

Really? You're going to be a cool grandma.

02:46:03 - 02:46:15 | Speaker 5:

Oh my god. Our friends at Kroger are going to make

02:46:15 - 02:46:46 | Speaker 2:

sure that your home is full of all the food that Grandma loves to make and they will have it for you with hundreds of dollars in gift cards. We got gas cards. Our friends, Mike Sarafo over at Great Clips, are going to provide you with all the haircuts for the kids, facials for Grandma from Estetica, and I do want to mention this, that we're going to write you a check so that you can put money into your account so that you don't have to worry about whatever your kids need they're going to get from Grandma, okay?

02:46:46 - 02:46:52 | Speaker 5:

Wow, I only had $7 in the bank. Thank you so much.

02:46:52 - 02:46:59 | Speaker 2:

Oh, my God. Principal Trice, you love this woman more than anything, and these kids mean so much to you.

02:47:01 - 02:47:14 | Speaker 5:

I love these kids. They are some amazing kids, and they're just crazy. You needed to see that someone was here to help Grandma.

02:47:14 - 02:47:29 | Speaker 3:

Oh, my God. Principal Trice, you are a godsend. You are incredible. You are the definition of what an educator should be. Your job doesn't just stop once the bell rings, but you answer the call. God bless you, Principal Trice. Thank you, Tara.

02:47:30 - 02:47:42 | Speaker 5:

Thank you. Thank you so much. This is, I'm overwhelmed. I'm going to just sit right here. I'm overwhelmed, you guys. I don't know what to say.

02:47:43 - 02:47:44 | Speaker 1:

Don't say anything.

02:47:44 - 02:47:45 | Speaker 5:

Just enjoy. KP, let's.

02:47:45 - 02:47:57 | Speaker 4:

Let's make it Christmas in here. Can we do Merry Christmas on the count of three? Ready? One, two, three. Merry Christmas!

02:47:59 - 02:48:04 | Speaker 1:

We did all four seasons, sometimes on the same day. You're listening to Mojo in the Morning.

02:48:06 - 02:49:29 | Speaker 2:

It's the second date update on Mojo in the Morning. All right, second date update right now. We got an interesting situation happening here right now. So we got a phone call or actually an entry off of a text. If you ever want to know why you're not getting a call back, text DATE to 95500 and we'll get you on the second date update. So we got a entry from a girl by the name of Sarah, who I think she lives in the Detroit area. And she wanted to know why she was not getting a call back. So what ends up happening, to give you a little behind-the-scenes type thing, is our producers, Lydia and KP, will contact the person that's ghosting, try to ask them to come on the radio with us and say, hey, we're trying to figure out what's going on. If everything's okay, would you go on the air with us? She said that the date was great, that they had a great time with each other. He told us a story that happened about the date, and when we contacted her back to go on the radio, she then got cold feet and said she didn't want to go on with us so we're not going to say her last name but we'll just call her sarah and maybe if she's listening sarah if you are listening we'd love to hear your side of the story on this one she claims that the date was incredible with thomas thomas thanks for staying with us and going on the radio with us how are you

02:49:29 - 02:49:36 | Speaker 5:

uh i'm okay a little awkward maybe but i'm all right all right so now just so that everybody

02:49:36 - 02:50:00 | Speaker 2:

doesn't think that we're throwing this girl under the bus we're not she's the one that contacted us yeah we then contacted thomas thomas she said that the date was great she said that everything was awesome that she actually thought that you were really uh attractive um that you guys had talked a lot and at the end of the date while you guys didn't make plans for a second

02:50:00 - 02:50:17 | Speaker 3:

date she said that it seemed like she was going to get another date and then you all of a sudden never called her back i want you to do me a favor here right now i want you to fill in everybody on the show and all of our listeners with what was it that got you to not call her back for a second

02:50:17 - 02:51:07 | Speaker 1:

date oh okay so the thing is is i can see it's kind of what's happened because she only gave you part of the information. What, what, what actually happened is the day was great. Everything was fine. Okay. And, but I, I didn't like, she, she literally left the date to go take care of her kid. Okay. Now the thing about that is it wasn't like at the end of the date, it was right at sort of the middle. I mean, the food was coming. It was like, it was like a whole thing, you know, and I, I, I, at first I was like, well, hey, look, you know, uh, maybe we could just do this another time. And, you know, then, you know, we can just do it when you don't, not busy. Cause we're just sitting down and she was like, Oh no, no, no, it's

02:51:07 - 02:51:20 | Speaker 3:

totally fine. And then she left. Okay. So you had given her the out of, Hey, I know your kid is sicker. Cause she told you that, right? Well, yeah. I mean, again, I

02:51:20 - 02:51:25 | Speaker 1:

mean that's one of the things that she said she said that oh my kid's been feeling sick i said

02:51:25 - 02:51:36 | Speaker 3:

okay but so let's just call it quits and we'll come back and do this another time she didn't want to do that she ordered she ordered her food and ordered everything still staying with you for

02:51:36 - 02:51:43 | Speaker 1:

about how long of a time oh i would say probably 25 minutes at least maybe and then did she get

02:51:43 - 02:51:51 | Speaker 3:

another call from home or something that made her leave or did she just all of a sudden realize i should have been leaving right at the beginning of this date i shouldn't have stayed

02:51:51 - 02:52:15 | Speaker 1:

she she just goes oh my gosh what am i doing i need to get out of here so she didn't get another call no it's not that she just literally it was like one of those things where i was like oh if you have to go you have to go and she's like no it's okay and then she started eating a little bit and i was like okay so i figured okay maybe she's staying but now i'm awkward i'm in a position like hey should you go with your kid or should you stay here like what's the deal like i don't know

02:52:15 - 02:52:18 | Speaker 2:

Like the mom guilt caught up with her, that she should be home.

02:52:19 - 02:52:23 | Speaker 3:

Or this is my question. Did she wrap her food up then and leave with it?

02:52:25 - 02:52:36 | Speaker 1:

No, because she said, hey, look, I can come back. And I said, oh, no, you don't have to come back. Like, go take your kid. She goes, no, no, I can come back. It's just I got to check in with him.

02:52:37 - 02:52:38 | Speaker 3:

And then she never came back after that?

02:52:39 - 02:52:40 | Speaker 1:

And she never came back.

02:52:40 - 02:52:41 | Speaker 3:

Okay.

02:52:41 - 02:52:42 | Speaker 1:

And I was just sitting there.

02:52:42 - 02:52:58 | Speaker 3:

so you're so you're upset over what you're upset that she left you with a bunch of food sitting on the table or you're upset that she didn't she didn't leave to go take care of her kid and you thought that that was kind of not a cool thing well well she didn't leave right away though

02:52:58 - 02:53:40 | Speaker 1:

well not not to be a jerk or anything guys but like what i'm saying is okay she we went on a date she didn't get to call and she says oh my gosh i gotta leave okay i was like okay but then she stays and eats food but not all of it then i say why don't we just do this another time when you can do this because i was getting weirded out she goes no no it's okay then she gets self-conscious she says oh my gosh i have to go but i will be back i said hey whoa let's do this another time she's look please i really need this i haven't been out in a while now i'm feeling self-conscious i said great she'll take me 20 minutes i'll be back she leaves she never comes back i don't even know what happened to her and she never called you back all right question question to the

02:53:40 - 02:54:32 | Speaker 3:

listeners yeah she hasn't even called you guys well she no she did call us she did she contacted us to go on second date update she just when she was going to come on the air with us this morning right she then decided i don't think it's going to make her look good but i uh 844 mojo live 844 665 6548 is she in the wrong for doing the whole ordering thing and then you know eating a little bit and then leaving like it i would think to myself okay i i would want her to be attentive to her kids like that would be a thing and leave right away like i would have no problem if she's like you gave her the out of hey let's do this another time yeah but then i would also think to myself i'm like going well the whole idea that she hasn't been out in a long time so she's like kind of putting them off and wanting to eat a little bit of food and then she leaves and leaves

02:54:32 - 02:54:59 | Speaker 2:

him hanging it's kind of a double whammy yeah she doesn't sound like a good communicator i think that um she probably shouldn't have gone out in the first place but i see where she was like okay my child's you know maybe fine and try and i think she was being a good like she's being a mom yeah and like i said the mom guilt probably caught up with her of oh my god I should not be here. I should be at home with my sick child.

02:55:00 - 02:55:08 | Speaker 1:

I just don't agree with her lack of communication at the end of she leaves, says she's coming back, never comes back, and never reaches out. That part I just don't agree with.

02:55:08 - 02:55:10 | Speaker 2:

Jodi, what do you think? Second date update. Hi.

02:55:12 - 02:55:13 | Speaker 4:

Hi, how are you guys?

02:55:13 - 02:55:13 | Speaker 2:

Good.

02:55:13 - 02:55:35 | Speaker 4:

You know, like Shannon was saying, she could have reached out or left, but my kid, I don't care what situation I am in, my kid will always come first. However, if she knew her kid was sick, she shouldn't have even went out on the date. But if I got some message saying my kid was feeling sicker, I definitely, I would get up and walk out that date.

02:55:35 - 02:56:00 | Speaker 2:

And I'm going to tell you that it is tough dating. I mean, we hear these stories all the time, especially if you're a single mom. I'm not going to judge her for being any kind of mom because I don't know other than this incident. But I will say this, that if you show him, man, my kids are going to come first, if this guy works out for you, he's going to know that. hey, I'm willing to put you off for my kids. What's up, Shay?

02:56:01 - 02:56:02 | Speaker 7:

Good morning. How are you?

02:56:03 - 02:56:04 | Speaker 2:

Good. What's going on? What did you want to say?

02:56:05 - 02:56:25 | Speaker 7:

So she shouldn't have went in the first place. I'm a single mom. And, you know, you just don't, if your kids are sick, your kids do come first. I get that. But if her child was sick, she should have just not gone out. I mean, I don't even get that. And if she didn't get a text or anything, she just suddenly, I don't know, had a feeling. It just doesn't, I call BS. I think there was something else going on there.

02:56:25 - 02:56:29 | Speaker 2:

I want her to call us up. I'm hoping, Sarah, that you're listening to us and you can call us up.

02:56:29 - 02:56:48 | Speaker 1:

I do, too, because I wonder if it's a situation because, like, a lot of times kids are like, I have a stomach ache. Yeah. And as a mom, you're like, okay, this is like the 27th stomach ache this week. Like, I wonder if it was something like that. And she's like, I'm safe to go out and try, you know, to do this and live my life a little tiny bit.

02:56:48 - 02:56:55 | Speaker 2:

Hey, did you know, Thomas, that her kids were sick at the start of the date? or did she get a phone call at the start of the date?

02:56:57 - 02:57:00 | Speaker 3:

She got a phone call, and that's kind of what sort of gave it to us.

02:57:00 - 02:57:07 | Speaker 2:

So she didn't leave the house. Oh, gosh, we got her on the phone. Hold on a second, Thomas. Thomas, stay right there. Hey, Sarah?

02:57:08 - 02:57:09 | Speaker 6:

Yes?

02:57:10 - 02:57:14 | Speaker 2:

Hi. So, Sarah, we're talking about your date. Say hi to Thomas.

02:57:15 - 02:57:22 | Speaker 6:

Hey, Thomas, sorry I didn't answer. I've been swarmed with the kids, but what's going on?

02:57:22 - 02:57:23 | Speaker 2:

You had an issue this morning.

02:57:25 - 02:57:28 | Speaker 6:

Yeah, I mean, I've got kids. My hands are full.

02:57:28 - 02:57:36 | Speaker 2:

Okay, so Sarah, what Thomas was telling us was that your son or your daughter that was sick?

02:57:38 - 02:57:40 | Speaker 6:

My daughter, but my son wasn't feeling great either.

02:57:41 - 02:57:54 | Speaker 2:

Okay, so he was telling us that you got up and left, but you didn't leave right away at the beginning of the date when you found out that your daughter was sick. that you left after you ordered and ate a little bit, but then you never came back.

02:57:56 - 02:58:10 | Speaker 6:

Well, yeah, because initially when I got the call, I was like, okay, well, maybe it's not that bad. But then as I was sitting there, like the mom guilt just sort of took over. And I was like, I don't feel comfortable here. So I had to leave. I mean, I'm a mom first. That's the way it is.

02:58:10 - 02:58:15 | Speaker 2:

But why not call him though, at least, and say to him, hey, I'm really sorry. I'm not coming back.

02:58:15 - 02:58:27 | Speaker 6:

um i guess i just didn't really like his attitude about the whole thing like i could tell from his face that he was mad and it was like i can't deal with someone like that like i have children i was

02:58:27 - 02:58:31 | Speaker 2:

honest about that but he sounded he sounded like he wanted you to go home right from the beginning

02:58:31 - 02:58:39 | Speaker 3:

thomas am i wrong in saying that no no i i understand i think you got to do what you got

02:58:39 - 02:58:55 | Speaker 6:

to do you know you thought differently yeah i i he said that like he said those words but i didn't feel like they were genuine i don't know how to describe it it was just a feeling uh christina

02:58:55 - 02:59:04 | Speaker 3:

it was a little jarring you know i'm just saying like in my defense i was like caught off guard i wasn't sure what to do but i don't think i was rude about it

02:59:04 - 02:59:11 | Speaker 6:

christina what did you want to say i mean i guess in the moment it's like i'm worried about my

02:59:11 - 02:59:15 | Speaker 2:

children yeah christina christina what do you think when you're hearing them going back and

02:59:15 - 02:59:50 | Speaker 5:

forth right now okay so now that she has called back it's even more puzzling to me i'm confused so she did so she's like i'm not going back because he had an attitude but she also wants to know why he didn't call her back yes very confusing also i'm a mom so yes motherhood will always come first but to me it's sounding like she is always going to use her children as an excuse if she is like something's happening like that's the reason why you're not calling girlfriend you're not calling because you know like it's gonna look weird and now she's blaming on her kids i feel like she's always gonna blame stuff on her kids what do you what do you think

02:59:50 - 02:59:57 | Speaker 6:

when you hear that uh sarah it feels like mom's shaming honestly well everybody everybody feels

02:59:57 - 02:59:59 | Speaker 2:

like they've been shamed some way, somehow.

03:00:00 - 03:00:06 | Speaker 5:

um i don't know uh let's go to brett i think i think you should have called back i understand

03:00:06 - 03:00:17 | Speaker 3:

the kid thing but you should have called back i mean honestly you should have been the one that did that actually brett 2024 you could do brett what did you want to say i'm not a single dad but

03:00:17 - 03:00:23 | Speaker 6:

i've been in that situation if you're gonna leave you could at least gave him something towards the

03:00:23 - 03:00:29 | Speaker 5:

bill instead of leaving them with it wait so do you think that this is about the bill no i'm just

03:00:29 - 03:00:37 | Speaker 6:

like it's common courtesy if you're just going to get up and leave and not come back and know you're not going to come back you could at least help pay for your half i mean she did order and

03:00:37 - 03:00:52 | Speaker 2:

eat part of her food i don't even think any of that is i think a simple text message would have been very sufficient i what do you think uh kenny hi hi what's up buddy so i i've got a

03:00:52 - 03:01:16 | Speaker 7:

I've got a quick question for her because I just realized what she said. So she said that apparently when she told him that she had to leave for Kim with sex, blah, blah, blah, that he had an attitude and his demeanor was off. If he had an attitude and his demeanor was off, why would you bother coming on second date update to try to get a second date with him if you knew that night you didn't like his demeanor or attitude?

03:01:17 - 03:01:20 | Speaker 5:

Well, he even said that. Sarah, why?

03:01:20 - 03:01:30 | Speaker 4:

i guess i just felt guilty i mean like some of the things that you guys are saying like i've thought about i've had time i'm like okay i could have handled that better i agree

03:01:30 - 03:01:35 | Speaker 5:

but but it sounded like you wanted another date with him and that's why you got in touch with us

03:01:35 - 03:02:05 | Speaker 4:

well i don't really get to go on many dates you know like girl take care of your kids I don't have like time to myself I never get to do these things And like yeah he was really cute And I did want to have a good time with him It just it got ruined So I mean I don't know I don't know The whole thing is just like I feel like I'm just failing at dating always No no no It's hard It is hard

03:02:05 - 03:02:08 | Speaker 5:

Now you feel bad don't you Yeah she's playing the same thing

03:02:08 - 03:02:17 | Speaker 2:

But also I mean And I, you know, if she apologized to you, would you be willing or are you, the ship has kind of sailed here?

03:02:20 - 03:02:20 | Speaker 5:

Thomas.

03:02:20 - 03:02:22 | Speaker 4:

Yeah, like if you could see where I was coming from.

03:02:22 - 03:02:24 | Speaker 5:

Thomas, would you go on another date with her?

03:02:25 - 03:02:43 | Speaker 3:

Honestly, look, after hearing everything, I really respect what you're doing. I really do. And I understand that your kids come first. I think right now it's just going to be a tough time for you to date because you're going to have a hard time being consistent. and I just need someone consistent right now. I'm really sorry.

03:02:43 - 03:02:46 | Speaker 2:

Just to give you a heads up, anybody who has kids is never going to be consistent.

03:02:47 - 03:02:49 | Speaker 3:

Hold on, Eric, what did you want to say, Eric?

03:02:50 - 03:03:05 | Speaker 8:

Hey, Tommy, why don't you stop being so soft? You know she's a mother. Let her go do her thing. You are being really soft right now, bro. Standing for all dads and moms out there, you need to take a step back. You are really, really soft, bro. You are really soft.

03:03:06 - 03:03:07 | Speaker 2:

But is he hard or is he soft?

03:03:08 - 03:03:12 | Speaker 8:

No, no, no. Very, very soft. Very small, man. Very small.

03:03:13 - 03:03:20 | Speaker 7:
