00:02:21 - 00:02:27 | Speaker 2:

00:02:30 - 00:02:33 | Unknown:

Showtime.

00:03:00 - 00:03:58 | Speaker 6:

it's a mojo in the morning show this sounds so dumb but i gotta tell you we're finding great comfort in anything nowadays just looking for fun and happy things i what i love going into a business that knows me so well they all know my name and they know my order and i don't know about you guys but it just makes me feel good that you walk in and people know know you and i think it's kind of lost in today's world because there's not as many small businesses that see the same customers every single day but there's a sushi place by my house that knows me as soon as i walk in they know my order one spicy shrimp dragon roll and one tempura sweet potato roll and extra wasabi and as soon as i walk in hi mr spike hi and they they know exactly what i want

00:03:58 - 00:04:04 | Speaker 9:

Do you take it one step further and have your own table there, like your own little corner of the bar?

00:04:04 - 00:04:24 | Speaker 6:

Well, I always get it to go. Corner of the bar? I always walk in and get it to go. No, but it is like that old show, Cheers. Norm always walks in. And it was the same with the Starbucks I always used to go to. Mojo, you go to this one now. But I used to know every employee's name. They knew me. They knew my drink. And they worried if I wasn't in there.

00:04:24 - 00:04:32 | Speaker 9:

Can I tell you that they actually brought you up a couple of days ago? But Monday, I stopped off on my way home, and they said, tell Spike we miss him.

00:04:33 - 00:04:40 | Speaker 6:

Tom, he got divorced. He drives a different way to work now. I do love that. Do you have a place where everyone knows your name?

00:04:40 - 00:05:00 | Speaker 2:

So I take the kids to Oconee by my house all the time, like at least once or twice a week. And they don't even put menus down on the table anymore. They just look at me and go, two grilled cheeses with, two kids grilled cheeses with french fries. small Greek island special with low-fat dressing, add an onion, and added hard-boiled egg.

00:05:00 - 00:05:08 | Speaker 1:

And I'm like, yep, that's I don't know whether to be really flattered or really embarrassed because I don't have food and I do feed my children at home.

00:05:08 - 00:05:22 | Speaker 5:

Be flattered because I'm embarrassed when I order from my favorite Chinese take home place and they don't know that it's me until I give my phone number. And when I give it to them for the quote for the pickup or whatever, they go, oh, are you coming in again?

00:05:22 - 00:05:25 | Speaker 4:

And I'm like, no! What do you mean?

00:05:27 - 00:05:37 | Speaker 2:

I do like that, by the way, when you call a place for a takeout and they'll say, what's your phone number? And you give them your phone number and then they'll go, oh, for me, hi, Tom. And they'll know it right away.

00:05:37 - 00:05:37 | Speaker 3:

Give me the usual.

00:05:39 - 00:05:58 | Speaker 2:

Coincidentally enough, with Spike, Sushi Samurai, I will call and start ordering my sushi and And they know when I'm on the 12th roll for two people, that they'll go, hi, Mojo. And they say it, and I go, oh, man. Well, you know what? Big order again.

00:05:58 - 00:06:12 | Speaker 3:

If you ever decide to try something new, like if Starbucks, I wanted to try their holiday drinks or one of their new featured drinks. I couldn't. I felt bad because they already made, they saw my car pull up, and they already started making my drink. They do that for you? Oh, yeah. Wow. Yeah, the second I walked in.

00:06:12 - 00:06:17 | Speaker 2:

So now that you're not going to the same Starbucks, did you find another Starbucks to go to? No, I just do that.

00:06:17 - 00:06:24 | Speaker 3:

I've been on budget, so I'm saving. I'm using my K-Cups now. Oh, really? Yeah. So I saved my-

00:06:24 - 00:06:37 | Speaker 2:

You used to go there for therapy. Yeah, I did. I did. You would go there and hang out and get advice and life from the baristas at Starbucks. I never knew what a barista was until Spike said what a barista was.

00:06:37 - 00:06:56 | Speaker 1:

Do you guys ever go to a restaurant that you frequent all of the time and order something different, and they look at you like you're absolutely out of your mind because that just happened to me where I went to a restaurant that I go to quite frequently, and the girl was like, margarita? And I was like, no, just water today. And she literally looked at me and was like, are you okay?

00:06:58 - 00:07:01 | Speaker 2:

And they think, uh-oh, something must happen to this one. What's up, Miranda?

00:07:03 - 00:07:12 | Speaker 4:

Hi, I wanted to let you guys know that I work in a coffee shop, and every Saturday if one of the ladies isn't coming in, And she'll call us so we don't have to worry about her.

00:07:12 - 00:07:19 | Speaker 3:

Oh, that's nice. That's awesome. And do you really appreciate that or you're more like, okay, thanks?

00:07:20 - 00:07:22 | Speaker 4:

No, we appreciate it because we will worry.

00:07:23 - 00:07:26 | Speaker 2:

Yeah, that's awesome. Where's your coffee shop at?

00:07:26 - 00:07:30 | Speaker 4:

It's in Napoleon, Ohio. Okay. Called the Country Gourmet.

00:07:30 - 00:07:41 | Speaker 2:

See that? That's what Spike needs now. I love that. Spike needs a little cornered coffee shop place like that because we're worried about him sometimes if he doesn't show up to work on time. We need to call the coffee shop and find out

00:07:41 - 00:07:51 | Speaker 3:

If his bike is there I've been going to Sweetwaters In Novi But they don't open early enough for us To get in before work

00:07:51 - 00:08:55 | Speaker 2:

So for my 40th birthday And now you guys might remember this But all my neighborhood friends My joke was that I wanted to go to I wanted to be able to one time in my life Walk into a bar and have everybody go Hey Tom Because Tom is my real name And do it So a group of about 15 of my neighbors took me out for my birthday to the, I call it the It Tavern or It Bar. It's the Irish Tavern over in Waterford off of Elizabeth Lake Road. Good beer list. And they all went inside, and we did it at like 4.30 or 5 o'clock on a Saturday afternoon. And they all sat at the bar, and I just kind of, and I strolled in, and I walked in, and it's like, hey, Tom. And I was, I literally was Norm. I bellied up to the bar. I got a question And then I ordered Ready? Yeah I ordered A drink that they didn't have Which they They were like Of course you did Because I wanted I wanted like a Like a pina colada Type of a drink And they kind of looked at me Like I was I was crazy

00:08:55 - 00:09:19 | Speaker 3:

And they're probably Looking at you like You know You're supposed to be acting Like you go there all the time And yet you order a drink Like you get a beer Yeah Yeah get a beer Yeah I got a question I don't know if anybody Would admit to this If they actually Are on a first name basis with the strip club Like anyone walk in The dancers are like hey They know your name I think I know a couple Chaldean guys Where they can walk in and say give me the usual

00:09:19 - 00:10:00 | Speaker 2:

I know guys I know a couple of guys And for some reason many of them And I'm not profiling here But many of them are some Chaldean buddies of mine Who And Fridays meet up at strip clubs Like that's their Alright guys we're meeting up at the strip club and a couple of times they'll say yeah you should come with us sometime i'm like going i usually like bachelor party like you know what i mean like i don't know if that's the the thing but although we did who was the this we just had to strip around with us not that long ago uh that strip club lady when we were talking about megan actually from the megan uh what's the strip club that you just did the appearance at and she told us that uh they it.

00:10:00 - 00:10:00 | Speaker 5:

The best food around.

00:10:01 - 00:10:03 | Speaker 6:

Bucks Platinum. Bucks Platinum. Yeah.

00:10:04 - 00:10:23 | Speaker 5:

Bucks Platinum in New Strip Club in Toledo. And the bartender told us how great it was. It was really nice. Yeah. Oh, this is funny. What's going on, Mojo in the Morning Show? Grab Sam on line number 28. Hi, Sam. Hi. Hey, talk about a great place where everybody knows your name.

00:10:24 - 00:10:30 | Speaker 3:

I know, and it's embarrassing sometimes, too, because I'm like, oh, my God. You guys all know me

00:10:30 - 00:10:31 | Speaker 1:

What business?

00:10:32 - 00:10:44 | Speaker 3:

The dispensary They know your order and everything? Well, I order ahead of time So when I get there But they don't know that I'm coming Until I'm actually there

00:10:44 - 00:10:47 | Speaker 5:

So when you walk in, do they go

00:10:47 - 00:10:50 | Speaker 3:

Hi, Sam Yep, they do

00:10:50 - 00:10:52 | Speaker 5:

I have like three of them Literally, that's a good one

00:10:52 - 00:10:58 | Speaker 3:

Hi, Sam I'm like, why don't you guys get a lounge And then I can just hang out with you guys That would be the best

00:10:58 - 00:11:02 | Speaker 5:

I wonder if that must not be legal because nobody's done that.

00:11:02 - 00:11:04 | Speaker 6:

They have cafes, don't they?

00:11:04 - 00:11:15 | Speaker 1:

They have in other towns, and I believe they're starting to finally put them up around here. They are building that place in DTE where you can buy product and use it right there at a concert.

00:11:15 - 00:11:16 | Speaker 5:

Hey, Billy.

00:11:17 - 00:11:18 | Speaker 2:

Hello.

00:11:18 - 00:11:20 | Speaker 5:

You're on a first-name basis?

00:11:21 - 00:11:24 | Speaker 2:

I was on a first-name basis at a strip club.

00:11:24 - 00:11:26 | Speaker 5:

What changed that?

00:11:26 - 00:11:37 | Speaker 2:

Yeah, I got married, and obviously that changed. But, I mean, I still know the owner really well. And if I went in there, I would get in free. Would you sit at the bar or would you sit close to the stage?

00:11:38 - 00:11:38 | Speaker 5:

Where would you sit?

00:11:39 - 00:11:42 | Speaker 2:

I always had a table. I had the same table every time I went in.

00:11:42 - 00:11:46 | Speaker 5:

How much money do you have to spend to be on first-name basis at a strip club?

00:11:47 - 00:11:50 | Speaker 2:

Not much. I did a renovation for the owner.

00:11:50 - 00:11:51 | Speaker 5:

Oh, okay.

00:11:51 - 00:11:53 | Speaker 2:

It was just after that. Sure you did.

00:11:54 - 00:12:05 | Speaker 4:

That's what they call it nowadays. We know one phone call can ruin your whole day, but not this one. Laugh at the phone scam. It's this morning at 6.50 on Mojo in the Morning.

00:12:07 - 00:12:09 | Speaker 5:

Now, now, we love our Mojo.

00:12:09 - 00:12:10 | Speaker 4:

Back to Mojo in the Morning.

00:12:19 - 00:12:53 | Speaker 5:

Mojo in the Morning, your home of the phone scams, the War of the Roses, and the Dirty on the 30. So Mike's wife, Allie, sent him out to go get something specific, only to have Mike come home with something very interesting. Has that ever happened, by the way? Usually it's the husbands that do stuff like this. Like, you went out for something specific and then you came back with something else. This is why Chelsea won't ever let me go out to the store, Mike. What's going on? 844-MOJO-LIVE, 844-665-6548.

00:12:53 - 00:14:05 | Speaker 6:

So she sent me out, I think, to get, like, cheese or something. That was initially what she sent me out to get. And then as I'm headed there, she texted me, oh, yeah, get a tablecloth, too. And I said, okay, no big deal. So I get there, and I realize that I don't know how big our table is, and I don't know, like, I don't know how to pick a tablecloth. I don't know what a – this is going to sound stupid, but I don't know what a fancy tablecloth looks like. I have no idea. So I go to Meyers, and I text her, and I say, you know, what size is our table? and what kind of tablecloth do you have well she has a tendency to set her phone down and not answer and it's not just me it's it's with everybody for a very long period of time like there if you catch her at the right moment she'll text back immediately but if she's doing other things she tends to just set her phone down and not like pay attention to it so she didn't answer me and i'm at the store and i'm like i gotta grab this stuff now otherwise you know like so i said all right fine i'm just gonna get whatever tablecloth i want and so i picked up a because she's a big michigan state fan i picked up a michigan and i said you will answer and she will answer next time and she i did get a regular one what wait what did she do oh you did as a backup yeah oh yeah smart i knew she was gonna flip out and

00:14:05 - 00:14:17 | Speaker 5:

she did what did she do when uh you came home and just showed her the michigan one what did she and uh did she say did you like flip out she goes oh very festive mike what are we supposed to do

00:14:17 - 00:14:38 | Speaker 6:

with this i was like i don't know we could flip it upside down but it still says michigan and she i was like your dad's a big fan of mich i played it off for a little bit i was like your dad's a big fan of michigan anyway so like i mean it probably won't be that big of a deal she goes we're not gonna put this what are we gonna do now do i have to go back to the store and get another tablecloth and so i let it go for a minute and then i finally pulled out the

00:14:38 - 00:14:48 | Speaker 5:

other tablecloth but i was i was uh having having a conversation with my wife of um side hustle fun jobs that i could do that actually you know would be like because i'm not i have no hobbies

00:14:48 - 00:14:53 | Speaker 1:

like people have hobbies and stuff i know you talk about being maybe a driver once for yeah

00:14:53 - 00:14:59 | Speaker 5:

like door dash driver or something then i thought i could be an instacart driver i said it's very good because i love going to grocery stores like i don't know if you guys know this

00:15:00 - 00:15:05 | Speaker 2:

I love going to Kroger and I beg her, can I go to Kroger today to get stuff for her?

00:15:05 - 00:15:09 | Speaker 4:

You just want to cure yourself, don't you? Does it make you feel cool? Kind of.

00:15:09 - 00:15:13 | Speaker 2:

It's in the frozen section. Hey, hey, that's me. That's me.

00:15:13 - 00:15:14 | Speaker 4:

I'm the intercom.

00:15:14 - 00:15:53 | Speaker 2:

For Grand Rapids and Toledo and all those around the country, in the Detroit area, I voiced the PA system along with some of the other radio DJs in town. But the problem is I come home with so much stuff so much stuff that we don't need you know what i mean so she said to me you can never be an instacart driver because you won't follow it like a list for me you don't follow this so i've come i've come back with they have amazing things i'd never usually go down the aisle with like the pans and the spatulas and things like that i came home one time with like a whole new kitchen set of like these spatulas and usually the spatulas and stuff that you buy at like kroger is like

00:15:53 - 00:15:57 | Speaker 4:

your last minute like trying to figure out no they got they got the good many ones that you can use

00:15:57 - 00:16:12 | Speaker 2:

Well, I found the most amazing flip-an-egg spatula that is a smiley face that is, to me, the greatest thing ever, and I'm the only one that uses it. I bought this thing. Have you ever seen the omelet spatula that they have?

00:16:12 - 00:16:12 | Speaker 4:

No.

00:16:13 - 00:16:15 | Speaker 2:

They're, like, this big. They're the size of a pan. Huge.

00:16:15 - 00:16:17 | Speaker 4:

Are those for omelets? I use those for pancakes.

00:16:17 - 00:16:18 | Speaker 2:

Oh, well, or pancakes.

00:16:18 - 00:16:20 | Speaker 3:

It's the size of a pancake. It works for either.

00:16:20 - 00:16:40 | Speaker 2:

I do it. But I came home and bought that thing, and then I bought it in three different colors because they had three different colors going. She's like, why do we need three different colors? I go, they look so great. Taylor, Mike went out specifically to go get something for his family, but then came home with something that drove his wife crazy. What's going on?

00:16:41 - 00:17:03 | Speaker 4:

So my boyfriend and I were making sugar cookies, and I sent him out to the store and said, hey, it's refrigerated in a tube, and he comes home with a bag of Splenda because it had a sugar cookie on it. You just have to love him, don't you?

00:17:03 - 00:17:04 | Speaker 2:

Just cuddle with him.

00:17:04 - 00:17:05 | Speaker 4:

Sometimes, sometimes.

00:17:07 - 00:17:08 | Speaker 2:

Kerry, what's up? It's Mojo in the morning.

00:17:09 - 00:17:31 | Speaker 3:

Hey, my wife, last week before Thanksgiving, sent me to Kroger to get a bunch of groceries. Well, my buddy was in the parking lot getting out to go get groceries himself because his wife sent him as well, but he had a joint in the car. He ended up getting high, and I ended up buying a bag of weed. I forget to get the groceries and just came back home. Oh, my Lord. Santa's real happy.

00:17:31 - 00:17:45 | Speaker 1:

Dear Santa, I was good this year. Well, most of the year. Well, once in a while. Hell, never mind. I'll buy my own presents. Merry Christmas. From Mojo in the morning.

00:17:45 - 00:18:05 | Speaker 2:

Breaking and entering Christmas wish year after year is so awesome to be able to pull off. And I will tell you this. I get nervous before each one of these because I want to make sure that they're perfect for everybody. On the phone with us is our little elf. And I didn't say little just because you are little. I said little because you're an elf.

00:18:05 - 00:18:06 | Speaker 3:

No, and little.

00:18:07 - 00:18:09 | Speaker 2:

Welcome, Mike, guys. Hey, Mike. How are you doing, buddy?

00:18:10 - 00:18:11 | Speaker 3:

I'm good.

00:18:11 - 00:18:11 | Speaker 2:

Good.

00:18:11 - 00:18:11 | Speaker 3:

How are you?

00:18:11 - 00:18:45 | Speaker 2:

It's so good to have Mike go out on all of these. He does such a great job. His dad's side comes out. You can tell, especially in the wish that we're going to grant today for a lovely young lady that our listeners probably are going to know because many people in the Allen Park community, they are fond of this young lady. Her name is Ellie. She's 16 years old from Allen Park High School, and we're going to grant a wish for her. Aunt Renee is on with us right now. Aunt Renee, are you there? I'm here. How are you doing? Are you excited for this too?

00:18:46 - 00:18:48 | Speaker 4:

I'm excited and nervous.

00:18:48 - 00:19:09 | Speaker 2:

I know. All right, so Mike's going to hang back with all of our wish elves that we have there, our truckloads of people. You're going to walk up to the door, and you're going to ring the doorbell so that we can make an entrance and be able to talk to Christy and Ray and then Ellie and, of course, her brother Sam, okay?

00:19:09 - 00:19:10 | Speaker 4:

Okay.

00:19:10 - 00:19:13 | Speaker 2:

All right, so walk up to the door. Mike, you hang back. Mike, mute your phone.

00:19:14 - 00:19:14 | Speaker 4:

Okay.

00:19:15 - 00:19:32 | Speaker 2:

All right. Okay. Aunt Renee, it's Mojo on the Morning Break and Enter Christmas Wish. For those people that want to have a wish granted, go to mojoswish.org. And just so you know that the people who we grant the wishes for have no idea that we're coming in and bringing Christmas to them.

00:19:33 - 00:19:35 | Speaker 4:

I'm at the door right now.

00:19:35 - 00:19:35 | Speaker 2:

Perfect. Okay.

00:19:38 - 00:19:41 | Speaker 4:

Where's Mom? Hi. Give me a phone call.

00:19:41 - 00:19:59 | Speaker 2:

Where's Mom? hi it's christy hi christy it's mojo in the morning hi hi how are you uh all right we put your uh lovely uh renee up to coming and knocking on your door this early in the morning because we received

00:20:00 - 00:20:10 | Speaker 3:

So many letters about your sweet family and especially your sweet daughter, Ellie, for our Mojo in the Morning Breaking and Entering Christmas Wish program.

00:20:10 - 00:20:11 | Speaker 4:

Okay.

00:20:11 - 00:20:17 | Speaker 3:

And I want to have the person who wrote the letter that really got our attention read it to you, okay?

00:20:18 - 00:20:18 | Speaker 4:

Okay.

00:20:19 - 00:20:19 | Speaker 3:

Take a listen.

00:20:20 - 00:22:02 | Speaker 4:

Dear Mojo in the Morning Breaking and Entering Christmas Wish, my name is Amanda Browning and I am an Allen Park Public School teacher. I would like to nominate Elizabeth Ellie Loss for this year's Breaking and Entering Christmas. Ellie Loss is a 16-year-old student that lives in Allen Park, Michigan, with her mom, her dad, and her younger brother, Sam. Earlier this year, Ellie and her family received the news that no family is ready for. Ellie had a brain tumor. Ellie and her family have gone to many different doctor's appointments and have had assistance from doctors all over the country. She had brain surgery in August, a round of infertility treatments to keep her eggs viable for the future, and two rounds of chemotherapy. The family just learned that she is not responding to treatment at this point. This is devastating to her friends, family, and school community. Mojo, Ellie is an incredible kid with many friends and family in the Allen Park community. Before her diagnosis, Ellie was on the Allen Park swim team and Allen Park tennis team. Unfortunately, even school is a challenge for her at this point due to the weakness from her treatment. mojo please please consider ellie and her family for a wish this year they could absolutely use some surprises positivity and some christmas magic in their lives sincerely amanda browning

00:22:02 - 00:22:18 | Speaker 3:

wow um hello hi hello hello amanda thank you for that letter we appreciate you so much Chrissy, how are you holding up there, Mom?

00:22:19 - 00:22:20 | Speaker 2:

Well, I'm crying right now

00:22:20 - 00:22:28 | Speaker 3:

I know you are, yeah But you've been so strong And I know it's been so difficult And Ellie

00:22:28 - 00:22:29 | Speaker 4:

It's been challenging, for sure

00:22:29 - 00:22:31 | Speaker 5:

How's Ellie doing?

00:22:32 - 00:22:36 | Speaker 4:

She's okay She is a ray of sunshine Yeah

00:22:36 - 00:22:55 | Speaker 5:

We received so many letters about your family and Ellie And they all said something similar to that, that she's a ray of light. She's a ray of sunshine. She's so positive. She's so wonderful. So I feel like we know a lot about her. She's a pretty amazing young woman. She's a very subtle girl.

00:22:56 - 00:23:06 | Speaker 3:

And I hope that the whole family is going to be okay with this. But we call it Breaking and Entering Christmas Wish because we literally want to break into your house and bring Christmas to your home this year.

00:23:07 - 00:23:07 | Speaker 5:

Okay.

00:23:08 - 00:23:09 | Speaker 3:

And we want to do it right now.

00:23:10 - 00:23:15 | Speaker 5:

Are you ready for us? We were hoping for, like, coffee this morning.

00:23:15 - 00:23:16 | Speaker 3:

You were hoping? I'm sorry you said that.

00:23:16 - 00:23:17 | Speaker 5:

We were hoping for breakfast.

00:23:17 - 00:23:20 | Speaker 3:

Oh, you thought it was breakfast? Hey, listen, we can arrange for that. Don't worry about that.

00:23:21 - 00:23:22 | Speaker 1:

That's the least of what we're going to do.

00:23:23 - 00:23:41 | Speaker 3:

Mike from our show is walking up your front drive right now, along with a whole bunch of people that are going to be carrying sacks upon sacks of Christmas gifts for you and for your entire family. And is everybody there right now?

00:23:41 - 00:23:44 | Speaker 5:

Oh, yeah. Oh, my gosh. Merry Christmas.

00:23:48 - 00:23:49 | Speaker 2:

Can I hang out the phone?

00:23:49 - 00:23:58 | Speaker 3:

No, no, no. You stay on this phone here, okay? You stay on this phone, and Mike will stay on the phone with us, too. And we're going to grant a Christmas wish this morning.

00:23:59 - 00:24:00 | Speaker 4:

00:24:01 - 00:24:02 | Speaker 3:

You are so welcome.

00:24:03 - 00:24:05 | Speaker 4:

00:24:42 - 00:25:10 | Speaker 1:

And it just speaks volumes to your family, Christy, and how many people have been affected by your positivity as you go through the challenge and the fact that, I mean, Ellie didn't let this bring her down. Ellie, we've heard from teammates and teachers alike, and everybody says the same thing. thing she's just been unbelievable through this whole process and the whole family has been and that's why everybody's here to support you right now and to show you an incredible christmas

But we want to make sure that Ellie has everything that she needs to keep her entertained and keep her happy. Like Shannon was saying, all the Apple stuff that she'll ever need. Sam, we understand that you need a laptop for school. So our friends at Comcast are giving you a brand new laptop, always keeping you connected and making sure that everybody is able to be connected. Comcast is going to give you that. And we also want to write you guys a check, the family a check, for $1,000 to help cover any bills that come your way.

00:34:26 - 00:34:42 | Speaker 3:

00:35:06 - 00:35:14 | Speaker 4:

00:35:20 - 00:35:42 | Speaker 8:

00:35:46 - 00:35:50 | Speaker 2:

00:36:22 - 00:36:26 | Speaker 5:

The world famous This is Mojo in the Morning

00:36:26 - 00:36:41 | Speaker 2:

Morning show So I don't know what this is Maybe this is a generational thing But Megan, you were out to eat with Jillian Your bestie And there was something that happened during the lunch But there's something that didn't happen

00:36:41 - 00:38:09 | Speaker 1:

Yeah, so you ever get so hungry That you guys won't even shut up with your friends Until you actually get food Because we were just like, I'm so hungry I'm so hungry let's go get food okay I'm starving I'm gonna eat appetizers we're gonna order 17 drinks and um 36 appetizers and at least four courses and definitely a dessert or two we just would not shut up about how hungry we were so we went out and we got some food and about halfway through I noticed Jillian just like stops eating and I was like well pump the brakes here I thought we were being fatties today so let's keep going and um she said I can't finish this I said well what what happened what happened to your food she goes there's a hair in my food you go oh gross that's so gross don't worry i'll call the server over here and we'll get you something new and immediately she throws her hands on the table and she was like don't you tell the server that anything is wrong with this so what do you what do you mean don't tell the server there's hair in your food we'll get you new food it's fine like i worked at a restaurant like the server's not gonna care they want you to be happy they want a tip so you just want to fix it i can't tell her I just can't do it. It's giving me too much anxiety. I can't tell her that anything's wrong. It's fine. I don't need to keep eating. I'll just pick up something else on the way home. This girl would rather stop at a fast food restaurant on her way home from the restaurant that we were currently eating at than telling the server that there was a hair in her food. And she was like, I don't want to cause any problems.

00:38:09 - 00:38:15 | Speaker 2:

What is it? I got to tell you something. I see that more and more. How old is she? 20?

00:38:15 - 00:38:16 | Speaker 1:

24.

00:38:17 - 00:38:19 | Speaker 2:

She's 24. I see that more and more.

00:38:20 - 00:38:34 | Speaker 1:

I know. But here's the thing. I get it, too, because I would never, ever, ever, ever send my coffee back when they put actual milk in it. I will go, thank you for the six hours I will be spending in the bathroom today. I will drink this coffee with happiness, and I will not tell you that I asked for oat milk. Thank you.

00:38:35 - 00:38:43 | Speaker 3:

I would also still eat the meal after I removed the hair. Yeah. In most cases, unless it looks like a pube, I'm still eating it. I just assume there's always hair in my food. Yeah.

00:38:43 - 00:38:45 | Speaker 2:

No. I assume everything's a pube, and I just eat it anyway.

00:38:45 - 00:38:48 | Speaker 3:

I just, I'm hungry. I'm hungry.

00:38:48 - 00:38:54 | Speaker 7:

I take it out, put it on the side of the dish, and just hope that it was heated hot enough to kill any germs.

00:38:54 - 00:39:01 | Speaker 1:

One time I had a hair in my food that was a gray hair, and I pulled it out of my mouth, and for some reason I was like, this could be the end.

00:39:01 - 00:39:18 | Speaker 3:

I once found a tooth in my bread, lest we not forget that story. Oh, that's right. Hair is nothing. Yes, in the crust. Baked in the crust of the bread. Okay? It was years ago, and I have not forgotten. I literally check the crust of my bread with every sandwich I eat.

00:39:18 - 00:39:48 | Speaker 2:

If I was at that restaurant when that happened to you, I would say that you're the winner. I would just be like, oh, my God, you won the prize as a way to get you to not complain. Yeah, we put that in there for free gifts. Here's the thing that's interesting, though, that I see is I see people that will, like yourself, Megan, you don't get what you want, you know, and then you'll just do it anyway. but you don't you won't do it verbally to them personally but you'll go and you'll post on social media or do a yelp bad yelp review that's like you'll spend the time yelp reviewing them

00:39:48 - 00:39:53 | Speaker 1:

instead of giving them a chance to fix the thing 100 because uh that's not face-to-face

00:39:53 - 00:40:00 | Speaker 2:

confrontation but that's worse for them than than if you just said hey i'm sorry can you remake another uh food for me with

00:40:00 - 00:40:07 | Speaker 7:

without hair in it oh no i think jillian's mad at me for talking about this um why it's it's in

00:40:07 - 00:40:19 | Speaker 8:

your rights as a customer when you order something to expect food to be good now you have to handle it nicely and politely which i know you two girls would but you have you can't throw be a karen about it but they're not going to be mad at you for wanting a new dish yeah but if i give you a

00:40:19 - 00:40:24 | Speaker 6:

bad yelp review afterwards you can't spit my food when i reorder it no but that's not the way to

00:40:24 - 00:40:36 | Speaker 8:

handle it like handle it in the moment they'd be glad to make a new dish don't just go home and trash them because accidents happen you don't want to like just because someone accidentally got a hair in your food try and ruin the restaurant's business for life right i don't

00:40:36 - 00:40:42 | Speaker 6:

know if you saw this documentary it's called waiting and um anytime they got food sent back

00:40:42 - 00:40:58 | Speaker 1:

i saw them do pretty terrible things do you think this is the reverse or opposite effect of of canceling like cancel culture like that that we're so scared that people are going to do stuff to our stuff because we are so quick to cancel everything no i feel like generation z and millennials have

00:40:58 - 00:41:08 | Speaker 8:

been this way for a while even before all the the canceling and stuff i feel like there's less confrontation that's exactly it yeah like oh i don't want to bother them i don't want to

00:41:08 - 00:41:32 | Speaker 4:

make a big scene yeah what's up katie so i'm a groomer and you know we bring a lot of ditches in to share whatever and we'll find jobs and we'll just be like oh it's no big deal we just push it aside and we pick it out but if we find a somebody's hair from that like a person's hair

00:41:32 - 00:41:46 | Speaker 2:

we're like uh-uh can't do it isn't that funny yeah it's funny that's true yeah you're more apt to to be fine eating dog hair than eating a human hair now let me flip this to katie as a pet groomer

00:41:46 - 00:41:59 | Speaker 8:

because i imagine your business and hairstylists wouldn't you rather have a customer just say nope This isn't how I wanted it And you can get an opportunity to fix it Instead of them just ignoring it And then going telling a hundred people later They messed it up

00:41:59 - 00:42:10 | Speaker 4:

Oh absolutely No we're super appreciative when they tell us Because it's like now we know For in the future And we like tips

00:42:10 - 00:42:17 | Speaker 2:

See that Megan That's nice She doesn't care

00:42:17 - 00:42:19 | Speaker 6:

No I don't care about anybody Selena

00:42:19 - 00:42:45 | Speaker 3:

hi what's up i oh so i work in customer service and and that's like the thing we hope for most that somebody tells us that you know sorry i mean we don't hope for it but you know we're like we're so appreciative of somebody bringing us the problem and letting us fix it then then telling everybody that you know we're terrible and right right it was a chance to show us our awesome customer service.

00:42:45 - 00:42:52 | Speaker 2:

Yeah. Megan, you got to end that comment by saying Megan with a mean voice like that.

00:42:52 - 00:42:59 | Speaker 7:

I want it to be clear. I didn't write a review. I haven't mentioned the restaurant. That wasn't my plan. I just wasn't going to tell you that there was a hair in it either.

00:42:59 - 00:43:04 | Speaker 2:

I don't get you guys also that you sit there yapping with each other nonstop and not eating your food.

00:43:05 - 00:43:06 | Speaker 6:

No, they were waiting for their food to come out.

00:43:07 - 00:43:11 | Speaker 2:

No, but didn't you say that when the food comes to you, you don't go? Like, I dive right into it.

00:43:11 - 00:43:17 | Speaker 8:

Wait a minute, but Mojo, you're the one that always asks us a big question, and then you eat your whole meal while we have to talk.

00:43:17 - 00:43:22 | Speaker 7:

So true. And then I have to get a box for the food that I want to eat that I don't have time to eat because we have to leave.

00:43:23 - 00:43:32 | Speaker 2:

I have a new thing now. If I go to lunch with people, I call it quiet lunches. I tell them, I say, let's just be quiet the whole time. We'll just eat in each other's presents because I want to eat my food.

00:43:32 - 00:43:34 | Speaker 7:

I think you're just trying to get out of going to lunch with people.

00:43:35 - 00:43:37 | Speaker 2:

Pretty much. What's up, Alicia? Hi.

00:43:38 - 00:44:09 | Speaker 5:

Hey, guys. How are you? Good. What's going on? good so i own um a small boba shop in downtown ferndale and what megan had said about um leaving a yelp review for us small business owners it sucks like i i i'm a millennial so i absolutely understand the anxiety i was telling kp that like i would so much rather order a pizza over the internet and not talk to anybody at all 100 if somebody sorry what'd you say yeah for small

00:44:09 - 00:44:20 | Speaker 6:

businesses or any businesses in general i would never leave a negative review i would go to my grave before ruining somebody's business because so many people go to google read one bad review

00:44:20 - 00:45:00 | Speaker 5:

and then go well i won't try that so i would much rather just uh it's so unfortunate because if it's something that we can fix as small business owners i had somebody um you know one time they had a small hair and a drink we remade it for them i i want them to have a good experience when they're here with us and obviously like if there's a hair in their drink it's not a good experience that's the last thing that they're going to think about when they think about my shop one time we had you know like a syrup pump break and we had no idea it somehow ended up in somebody's drink and they brought it to us they're like um there's this piece of plastic in here had we not known like we would have continued like if we didn't see that piece we would

00:45:00 - 00:45:31 | Speaker 2:

continue serving this so thankfully that person has said something um but you know like you know we're all human mistakes happen and i'm not saying that like you guys did anything wrong by not saying anything but for us business owners it's like a nice guide for us to like oh well we should fix this we should fix that type thing if that helps thank you hopefully she learns her lesson me you're talking about why are you just like literally like dragging me after every call

00:45:31 - 00:45:37 | Speaker 3:

i'm joking i'm joking megan doesn't even have yelp yeah no bill what did uh what did you find

00:45:37 - 00:45:58 | Speaker 4:

in your glass of milk i was uh a quarter glass of milk and i thought i saw something on the quarter of my eye didn't pay that much attention went to drink the glass of milk and the last drink, find something in my mouth, pull it out. It's a fake nail that's about three inches long. Wow. With diamonds on it.

00:45:58 - 00:46:00 | Speaker 3:

With diamonds on it? You win!

00:46:01 - 00:46:02 | Speaker 1:

I'll get diamonds on it, Megan. Congratulations.

00:46:03 - 00:46:05 | Speaker 3:

No extra charge.

00:46:05 - 00:46:08 | Speaker 4:

The bottom side is all dirty and sandy and disgusting.

00:46:08 - 00:46:18 | Speaker 3:

Wait, was it something from the milk plant? Probably whoever washed the dishes. Where was it at? Was this at your home or where was this?

00:46:18 - 00:46:23 | Speaker 4:

This is at home, a gallon of milk. Oh. Oh, God.

00:46:23 - 00:46:31 | Speaker 3:

So do you live with a woman that might have a nail like that, or do you think it came from the place that you got your milk?

00:46:33 - 00:46:35 | Speaker 4:

Not my wife. She does not have fake nails.

00:46:35 - 00:46:43 | Speaker 3:

She doesn't have fake nails. Wait, can you imagine, though, if your wife thought that you had a girl over and that nail came from that girl? I would be more pissed.

00:46:43 - 00:46:47 | Speaker 1:

That would be the craziest story if it was a fake nail found in a gallon of milk.

00:46:47 - 00:46:47 | Speaker 3:

Yeah.

00:46:47 - 00:46:51 | Speaker 4:

She probably would have been pretty hot But she was there

00:46:51 - 00:47:00 | Speaker 3:

That's a war of the roses by the way Found the fake nail your wife calls us up Were you sending the roses to pal We're going to find out there

00:47:00 - 00:47:02 | Speaker 2:

This is why we don't drink milk

00:47:02 - 00:47:09 | Speaker 3:

No one is ever going to believe You found a nail in your milk I swear to you this is not the girl I was cheating with

00:47:09 - 00:47:11 | Speaker 4:

You tell that milk drinking girl

00:47:11 - 00:47:17 | Speaker 2:

You're sweet and twisted Like a candy cane That's okay

00:47:17 - 00:47:36 | Speaker 3:

Merry Christmas from Mojo in the Morning. All right, Mojo in the Morning show. So I feel like we need a segment on the show for Shannon's son, Smith, because this kid is the greatest. And he gets himself into a little, you know, trouble every now and again. But he makes for great conversation on the radio.

00:47:36 - 00:49:22 | Speaker 1:

He is five now, five and a half almost, if you ask him. His half birthday is quickly approaching, he keeps reminding me. We were at Michael's yesterday grabbing a few things for, I'm trying to decorate a little bit for Christmas so my house feels cozy when everybody comes over on Thursday. And so if you've ever been to Michael's, you get into the line, and this time of year, it's a longer line, and it's like a maze of crap, okay? It's just like HomeGoods, TJ Maxx, Marshalls. You get in the line. All at child's eye level, too. Yes, it's so much crap that you didn't anticipate needing, but all of a sudden you think you need it. And at Michael's specifically, it's all of, like, the holiday candies, the stocking stuffers. I mean, it's, like, good crap. So they have this humongous bin. And, Mike, I know you know what these are of squish mellows. They're, like, these really soft stuffed animals, okay? And they're, like, bigger. You know, like, they're a good size. But they had it piled so high. It was about as tall as me. I'm five feet tall. So Smith and I are chatting as we're, you know, getting up closer to the cash registers. And, of course, he goes to pull one from the pile, the middle of the pile of squishmallows, and the whole tower goes tumbling into the checkout line. And thank goodness there was this sweet mom with a baby who helped Smith and myself clean it all up. And I really just want to give her a shout-out right now because she then DM'd me on Instagram and said she was too chicken to say something, but she was the one who helped us put all these back. So, Rebecca Ellert, you are an angel. Thank you so much for being so kind and not judging me as you helped my child and I pick up all of these squish mellows.

00:49:22 - 00:49:24 | Speaker 3:

What did the person behind the counter do?

00:49:24 - 00:49:24 | Speaker 1:

Nothing.

00:49:25 - 00:49:34 | Speaker 3:

Because I have to be honest with you. I've been to Michael's maybe five or ten times in my lifetime. Usually when the kids had a project to do, we had to go there.

00:49:34 - 00:49:34 | Speaker 1:

Right.

00:49:35 - 00:49:41 | Speaker 3:

Not a fan of the store. Not a fan of it because I feel like the people that work there just seem like they're miserable.

00:49:41 - 00:49:59 | Speaker 1:

Well, and there was only one cashier. I was just going to say, every time I've been in, one cashier. There were probably about, this is not an exaggeration, 20-plus people in line. One cashier, but they also do have the self-checkouts. Well, the problem was people were having trouble with the self-checkouts, and so that was causing an issue.

00:50:00 - 00:50:12 | Speaker 2:

And I wasn't checking out. I was actually returning some stuff in this particular trip and buying some stuff. So I needed to see the live lady who was there, poor thing, struggling. Live lady. The live, like the real in-person lady.

00:50:12 - 00:50:26 | Speaker 4:

Who, by the way, is not really, not always really alive. Like, let me tell you about the people that work at that store. The people that work at that store are usually, it's usually like, you know, an older or middle-aged woman.

00:50:26 - 00:50:27 | Speaker 2:

This is an older woman.

00:50:27 - 00:50:31 | Speaker 4:

And then a teen kid who could care less about being there. This was so spot on.

00:50:31 - 00:50:59 | Speaker 2:

This poor woman, I felt bad because if you've ever seen Zootopia, I've referenced this before. You know the scene with the sloths. I have to walk out of the room when that scene comes on because. This was this poor woman to the point where the two little old ladies who were in front of Smith and I, the lady was taking so long. She finally looked at me and she looked at Smith and she goes, he can just have my change when she finally manages to get it out of the drawer. I said, okay, thank you. Smith was so excited.

00:50:59 - 00:51:06 | Speaker 4:

Could you imagine if she had to pick up the squish balls on the floor? Oh, my God. The whole display. She would have still been working on it right now.

00:51:06 - 00:51:12 | Speaker 3:

I mean, they must not pay what everyone else pays, because I've noticed since the pandemic, they literally only have one person working in that store.

00:51:12 - 00:51:20 | Speaker 2:

And you feel so bad for that person. Right. I mean, we're laughing, but I really did feel bad for her. They're doing the best they can. Everybody's impatient in the line. And, yeah, and she's doing the best she can.

00:51:20 - 00:51:21 | Speaker 4:

Yeah, yeah.

00:51:21 - 00:51:23 | Speaker 2:

Very slowly.

00:51:23 - 00:52:08 | Speaker 4:

I'm going to go on record. And I'm going to say that that store is one of those stores where it's like that. And then the other one is, have you been to a, like a Staples or an office depots or any of those places at all in any time recently? So I had to go there because I wanted, I was, I'm very specific for those that don't know this, you may see it in the videos. I have a new Sharpie that I use pretty much every week. I use, I use a Sharpie to death. Okay. To the point that I go. So I, I, I like Sharpies. so i was contemplating do i just order them on amazon or i drive by a staple store every single day on my way to and from work i'm like you know what i haven't been in a while and i used to love going there for office or for uh back to school stuff and let's be honest they employ our neighbors

00:52:08 - 00:52:13 | Speaker 3:

so we're i could rather go in a store than buy on amazon well i don't know these people are my

00:52:13 - 00:52:40 | Speaker 4:

neighbors but let me tell you the people that work at that store are also interesting too It's just an interesting thing. I don't know. I'm going to throw this out there. I'm going to ask you this question. What store has the most interesting people working there? And then tell us about what they're like. Because there are certain stores that you go into, like Michael's, you're right. The old lady sloth that's there working.

00:52:40 - 00:52:55 | Speaker 2:

Slow as hell. So, you know, I'm going to give a shout out to my favorite employees, Trader Joe's. Oh, my gosh. Make you feel like you're beautiful. Make you feel like you're buying the best. What aisle did you get this in? This must have just been put out today. Oh, good choice.

00:52:55 - 00:52:56 | Speaker 4:

They fake the funk very well.

00:52:56 - 00:53:02 | Speaker 2:

Good. I don't think it's fake. I think it is genuine joy. Do you need help bringing this out to your car? Can we do this?

00:53:02 - 00:53:08 | Speaker 4:

Can we ask the Trader Joe's people to get a part-time gig at Michael's? Just to kind of change it up a little bit.

00:53:08 - 00:53:15 | Speaker 3:

Because it's the culture Trader Joe's. They take care of their staff and they seek out those people so that it adds to the experience.

00:53:15 - 00:53:24 | Speaker 2:

They gave me a bouquet of flowers for free one day because the guy just said, I looked like I needed some flowers to brighten my day. Can I say this then?

00:53:24 - 00:53:46 | Speaker 4:

Who are you? Then can I say that maybe Trader Joe's needs to have like, I don't know, craftsy stuff in the back of the store. Do some other stuff. But it is wild. And then the Apple store is an interesting one. I'll give you, because we're doing positives, the Apple store is another one of those stores. Greatest people. They must pay those guys a million dollars a year because those people all seem like they're really happy and everything's good. But let's focus on the bads.

00:53:46 - 00:53:48 | Speaker 2:

Okay, all right. Let's go on the bads.

00:53:48 - 00:54:16 | Speaker 4:

Oh, and also, you cannot tell the difference between the people that work in the dispensary or the people that work at, what's the t-shirt shop in the mall, Hot Topic? Hot Topic. That's a great one. Hot Topic and dispensary. As a matter of fact, I think they almost kind of work together. It's like I'm annoying you. I just want a Nirvana t-shirt. Stop being so angry that I'm there. What's going on, Sarah? How are you?

00:54:17 - 00:54:55 | Speaker 1:

Hey. Hey, guys. By the way, I listen to you guys, like, every morning, and I love you guys so much. We love you, too. I love you guys. I'll see you at the Jingle Ball, too. Yes. I'll see you. So, something I want to comment about, I used to work at a Kroger, and, you know, when you're at self-checkout, you just want to go in there, buy your stuff, and leave? Well, there's this lady who I used to work with, and she always checks out, like, what I'm buying. it's like i just want to buy myself and leave like i don't want to talk to anybody while i'm there but she's like oh you're buying this stuff it's like i get it though i am i want to leave

00:54:55 - 00:54:59 | Speaker 4:

i get it sometimes in self-checkout i go there because i don't want to talk to anybody

00:55:00 - 00:55:04 | Speaker 1:

But they're nice if anything gets rung up wrong. They're right there to reset the whole system.

00:55:05 - 00:55:09 | Speaker 6:

Yeah, like if I stand like wine or anything, they're like right there. I'm like, thank you.

00:55:09 - 00:55:09 | Speaker 1:

Yeah.

00:55:09 - 00:55:11 | Speaker 6:

Although I look like I'm 18.

00:55:11 - 00:55:59 | Speaker 1:

I will say this, that, and listen, I don't speak poorly at all about Kroger because I love him. I put my voice to their announcements and stuff like that. They have had some of the best people working at the one by me, the union-like one. It's unbelievable lately. I don't know if they just did a rehiring or something like that, but I had, I was having the hardest time finding things because it's, I wait till the last minute to go do the Thanksgiving chopping and it's unbelievable. Like what this one, and this kid was like a, he was, I'm telling you, he was no older than like 17 years old. This kid, he found, I had to describe to him the onions that you put on a green bean casserole, what they look like. Oh, like the crispy. This kid was, like, running up and down every single aisle and got it for me. What's up, Tony?

00:56:01 - 00:56:02 | Speaker 4:

Hey, good morning. Love y'all.

00:56:03 - 00:56:04 | Speaker 1:

Oh, we love you, too. What's going on, Tony?

00:56:05 - 00:56:26 | Speaker 4:

All right, so I would say Home Depot, they're the greatest because it's like if you need electrical work, they got electricians to know, paint work. It's like they have professions that actually done this stuff. And me, actually, been an employee a very long time ago when I was in high school. They have, like, classes called PK where they actually teach you. Only problem. I got a problem, though, Tony.

00:56:26 - 00:56:56 | Speaker 1:

They make me feel inferior, though, when I do ask a question sometimes. Sometimes I get the eye rolls from those guys. Really? Yeah, sometimes. I feel like Lowe's gives less of an eye roll, you know, because it's more of a bougie Home Depot, right? Okay, what about Menards? Menards is elite. First off, Menards, I get lost in the place. It's so big. You can go in, if you wanted to, you could go into Menards in every season you can actually live in if you want to. It's crazy. Have you looked at their Christmas stuff?

00:56:56 - 00:57:03 | Speaker 3:

I've never been in a Menards. Okay, but I'm scared for myself because I know me. I would need two cars.

00:57:04 - 00:57:29 | Speaker 1:

And they always have a nice little old lady at the Menards by my house that works up in the front that's always so sweet just greeting you. Yeah, that story. Mike, when you go into Menards, do you ever go in there and you don't remember what you were trying to buy because you get so caught off guard by the end caps? Yes. Yeah, I was supposed to get a toilet seat, but I ended up with eight different projects that I'm still working on. Jordan, who are you calling out?

00:57:30 - 00:58:01 | Speaker 6:

Hey, I am calling out Dollar General. I don't know how it is in different cities, but apparently my city, they are all very interesting employees. And my husband is not from around here, and he never knew why I didn't want to go to Dollar General. I needed, like, something quick. and he finally went to one by me. I live in Muskegon. Yeah. And he realized very quickly why I never want to go there. They are sweet people, but very, very interesting, to say the least.

00:58:02 - 00:58:04 | Speaker 1:

Well, they got to deal with some interesting people, too, I'm sure.

00:58:04 - 00:58:12 | Speaker 6:

I'm sure that's fair as well. But I did go to a really nice one in Muskegon, and I was like, oh, this is what a normal Dollar General should be like. Yeah.

00:58:13 - 00:58:17 | Speaker 1:

I think going to any store in Muskegon, you might have a run-in or two,

00:58:17 - 00:58:49 | Speaker 5:

but that's okay they're nice people so thank you uh james are you there yeah mojo so um this past summer i was in florida and uh we went to walmart and we were walking out i had two bag chairs in my cart and the walmart police as i call them the walmart greeter he says i need to see your receipt i'm like i have two bag chairs mind you there was two people with carts full of stuff walking out they didn't check their receipts i'm like seriously so i made a big old thing i ended

00:58:49 - 00:58:53 | Speaker 1:

up getting kicked out of walmart in florida really that's why walmart's the best by the way you are

00:58:53 - 00:59:03 | Speaker 2:

the reason walmart's the greatest plus florida too oh yeah you're adding a florida man to the people of walmart that's math you don't want to mess with um the other one too i just want to

00:59:03 - 00:59:24 | Speaker 1:

throw this one out there there's a chipotle by my house that i will not go to i drive an extra two miles to go to the other one the chipotle on west and west bloomfield and orchard lake road is a mess i have no idea what the story is there but it's it's like a freaking disaster but i'll go to the one on telegraph and everything is great i don't understand it's like two miles

00:59:24 - 00:59:29 | Speaker 3:

away from each other just management different culture in the store yeah there's a store in

00:59:29 - 00:59:39 | Speaker 2:

somerset called aritzia which is a woman's clothing oh my gosh they had an army of women working in that store we were in there it's locally owned isn't it it is not locally owned

00:59:39 - 00:59:44 | Speaker 3:

it's a canadian company but that that is i think the only michigan location so people come from

00:59:44 - 00:59:59 | Speaker 2:

like everywhere to go there oh my gosh i can't believe how awesome the staff was and they had a coffee store inside they had a coffee shop oh i know that's where i it's amazing smelled all the coffee because i didn't want to look at women's clothes but then i go you go right down the street i was in dunham's and i couldn't find an employee i'm like it's

00:59:59 - 01:00:29 | Unknown:

Thank you.

01:00:00 - 01:00:06 | Speaker 3:

unbelievable that place. Hello, hello, hello. Anyone, anyone. I'm like, well, I guess maybe I should stock the shelves while I'm here. Alright, so here's

01:00:06 - 01:00:14 | Speaker 2:

the deal. We're going to do some new staffing here on the Mojo in the Morning show and we're just going to hire nothing but Chick-fil-A and Target workers. Like, can you imagine?

01:00:14 - 01:00:16 | Speaker 3:

And Trader Joe's. And Trader Joe's.

01:00:16 - 01:01:43 | Speaker 2:

And the Trader Joe's people telling everybody how beautiful you are. You are so beautiful. Just because someone carries a smart phone does not make them a smart person. We're about to prove it. Another world famous phone scam happens at 7.50 on Mojo in the Morning. Win Taylor Swift tickets right now. It's Taylor Swiftmas. Text the word SWIFT, S-W-I-F-T, to 95500, and you could be going to the concert at Ford Field. Text SWIFT to 95500 so that you can win tickets. Standard text and data rates do apply. Mojo in the Morning. So my friend Kevin just sent this to me. I'm going to show you guys it. Just literally seconds ago, driving down the street, and Kevin saw Santa Claus. He said, here you go. So this is Kevin, and look in his rearview mirror. It's kind of difficult to see, but you see. Oh, yeah. Santa heading out, going out. I don't know. It looks like he's driving like a Toyota Tercel or something. I don't know what he's driving there. But the funniest is you can see in the background he's got his coat off and he's got it hanging on a jacket behind him. So Santa's not wearing his full-on outfit while driving down the street.

01:01:44 - 01:01:59 | Speaker 3:

So I spotted Santa at Dairy Queen this weekend, and I thought that was kind of funny because just like that picture your friend sent, I'm like, isn't there some kind of Santa code where they're not supposed to wear The outfit When Santa's little helper's going to a Private event or something

01:01:59 - 01:02:11 | Speaker 2:

I have to remember that Santa's school up in Where is it? What is it? Not Holly, Michigan Yeah, there's a Santa's school in Michigan I forget what the town is

01:02:11 - 01:02:23 | Speaker 3:

And they always tell the Santa's helpers Don't wear it in the car on the way Because they're always afraid If you get in an accident, people are going to be driving by And seeing a Santa laid out in a car accident It's in Midland, by the way Oh, yeah. Oh, it is. Okay.

01:02:24 - 01:02:33 | Speaker 2:

I thought it was in one of the – it should be in like – The Charles W. Howard Santa Claus School. It should be in Holly, Michigan or Jingle, Michigan or something. Or Christmas, Michigan. Christmas, Michigan.

01:02:34 - 01:02:57 | Speaker 3:

But it's like – so he was – I was talking to Santa in line at Dairy Queen, and he was very impatient, by the way, for his order. It's taken a little while. He was not appreciating the lack of staff. And so apparently he was hired by a brand-new coffee shop in that strip mall to kind of help out with the grand opening. And he wanted a snack, so he went over to Dairy Queen. I was just like waiting in line behind Santa.

01:02:58 - 01:03:25 | Speaker 2:

Hey, Santa's got a sweet tooth too, right? 844-MOJO-LIVE, 844-665-6548. Where did you see Santa Claus? We just talked a few moments ago to a guy who went to a strip club. What was his name? Jose or whatever. And he said that he saw Santa Claus at the strip club. So that's a very odd place to go see Santa Claus. Although, even strippers are, I guess, bad girls or good girls. I don't know which one.

01:03:25 - 01:03:25 | Speaker 3:

Naughty list there.

01:03:27 - 01:03:39 | Speaker 2:

844-MOJO-LIVE, 844-665-6548. By the way, that would be a great gimmick, like a little scam, to just walk around wearing a Santa suit to see if you get free ice cream from Dairy Queen.

01:03:40 - 01:04:07 | Speaker 3:

You know what I mean? Yeah, what can Santa get for free? That's a great street scam. We should do that. Remember when the Red Wings were in the Stanley Cup finals and you sent me dressed as Jesus to see if I could get into this to see if they would let the son of God into the game without a ticket, which, by the way, they will not. But you did get on a lot of local news media. And I believe Paula Tuttman from Local Force still won't talk because it was blasphemous.

01:04:07 - 01:04:11 | Speaker 2:

There's other reasons, too. Lauren, hi.

01:04:12 - 01:04:12 | Speaker 1:

Hi, good morning.

01:04:13 - 01:04:15 | Speaker 2:

Good morning. Hey, Lauren, where did you see Santa Claus?

01:04:16 - 01:04:45 | Speaker 1:

So we were, it was on Thanksgiving, and we were driving to my parents, and we were on 94, and we were behind a car, like a little red Honda Civic, and there was a dead deer, like a gutted deer, on the back of the car. So my kids were freaking out, and then as we passed this car, the person driving the car was Santa Claus. Oh, my God. You're worse. Oh, man. So my kids were freaking out, thinking that that Santa had killed one of his teenagers. How fun. It was horrifying.

01:04:46 - 01:05:03 | Speaker 2:

That Santa Claus, by the way, did not learn that at the Santa school in Midland. Kevin, hi. Hey, I was in line waiting to do a confession at church so I can make more sins. That's how it works. Empty it out the vault and start all over again.

01:05:03 - 01:05:16 | Speaker 6:

I had to. It was compiling. It was sitting on my shoulders so much. I just run into, you know, like a restart. Anyway, and then Santa came out of the confessional box before I walked in. Really? Wow.

01:05:17 - 01:05:18 | Speaker 2:

Are you for real on that one?

01:05:19 - 01:05:19 | Unknown:

Yeah.

01:05:21 - 01:05:25 | Speaker 2:

What kind of sins do you think Santa obviously gluttony with all the cookies and milk?

01:05:25 - 01:05:37 | Speaker 1:

I would have stuck around and seen if you could hear through the door what's going on. Mojo in the morning. Hey, what's going on? Kate. Hi, Kate.

01:05:38 - 01:05:43 | Speaker 3:

Hi. First time being on here. Thank you. Welcome. We love it.

01:05:44 - 01:05:45 | Speaker 1:

First time, long time.

01:05:48 - 01:05:58 | Speaker 3:

So when I worked at a credit union, Santa Claus came in for a transaction. I don't remember if he was dressed up like that, but he gave me his business card.

01:06:00 - 01:06:02 | Speaker 1:

Wait, and he actually had a business card that said he was Santa?

01:06:04 - 01:06:11 | Speaker 3:

Yeah. I think he had his picture on it, and then on the back it said, it had check marks for naughty and nice.

01:06:12 - 01:06:19 | Speaker 1:

Oh, that's cute. By the way, I wonder if he hits on girls that way. I wonder if Santa's getting himself some dates that way.

01:06:19 - 01:06:20 | Unknown:

Oh, maybe.

01:06:20 - 01:06:21 | Speaker 1:

What a genius idea.

01:06:21 - 01:06:24 | Speaker 2:

Yeah, he's like, don't do the check boxes until we hang out.

01:06:24 - 01:06:29 | Speaker 1:

Forget the free ice cream at Dairy Queen. I want to get laid if I'm Santa Claus. What's going on, Jill?

01:06:30 - 01:06:38 | Speaker 4:

Good morning. A few years ago, I saw Santa driving a motorcycle down Grand River Avenue in Redford. Yeah.

01:06:38 - 01:06:41 | Speaker 2:

Now, did he have a helmet under that hat or what?

01:06:42 - 01:06:46 | Speaker 4:

I believe so, and he had, like, Christmas lights all over his motorcycle and everything. It was really cool.

01:06:46 - 01:06:51 | Speaker 2:

That's so great. There's a Santa around here that drives around in, like, a cherry red convertible.

01:06:51 - 01:06:55 | Speaker 1:

Yeah, I hired that guy for a family event.

01:06:55 - 01:06:57 | Speaker 2:

I see him all the time, yeah. Yeah. Santa's good.

01:06:57 - 01:07:04 | Speaker 1:

The event that I had was on a night where it was like as cold as it is, you know, now with like, you know, 20, 30 degrees.

01:07:04 - 01:07:07 | Speaker 2:

Oh, he'll still roll up in the convertible.

01:07:07 - 01:07:11 | Speaker 1:

That poor bastard's going to get himself sick. What's going on, Mojo in the morning? Hi.

01:07:13 - 01:07:14 | Speaker 5:

Hi, good morning. How are you? Good.

01:07:14 - 01:07:15 | Speaker 1:

Is this Morgan?

01:07:16 - 01:07:17 | Speaker 5:

Yes, it is.

01:07:17 - 01:07:18 | Speaker 1:

Morgan, where'd you see Santa Claus?

01:07:19 - 01:07:29 | Speaker 5:

So I saw him in the, I was like six years old, and we go down south every year for Christmas, and I saw him in the back of a pickup truck with two elves, and I will never forget it.

01:07:29 - 01:07:35 | Speaker 1:

He just wait, riding in the back? They wouldn't even let Santa in the front of the truck?

01:07:35 - 01:07:40 | Speaker 5:

No, there was two guys driving, and then Santa and, like, two elves were in the back of the pickup truck.

01:07:42 - 01:08:08 | Speaker 1:

I feel bad for Santa. Like, at least give Santa an opportunity to come inside the car, right? and wore them up. Yeah. That's another one, like the motorcycle. I think that's a bad thing for Santa to be doing. Like Spike said, you shouldn't be wearing your Santa. Because Santa falls out of that bed or there's a car accident. You've ruined Christmas for every kid. DJ, what's happening? This is a great one.

01:08:08 - 01:08:09 | Speaker 6:

Hey, how you doing? It's my first time.

01:08:09 - 01:08:16 | Speaker 1:

Hey, I love it. We're getting a lot of first-time callers checking us out at 844-MOJO-LIVE. DJ, where did you see Santa Claus?

01:08:16 - 01:08:27 | Speaker 6:

So I'm an indie wrestler in Michigan And after my match Down in Flint We had a fan dress up as Santa And he got drunk over at the bar

01:08:27 - 01:08:32 | Speaker 2:

Really? And they did carry him out or kick him out?

01:08:33 - 01:08:43 | Speaker 6:

Yeah Because some kids went over And started asking them if they could get presents for Christmas Oh no Oh no Oh geez

01:08:43 - 01:08:46 | Speaker 1:

Santa, was Santa fighting with these kids?

01:08:47 - 01:08:53 | Speaker 6:

Yeah, actually, he was willing to throw some punches off of some whiskey, so it wasn't going really good.

01:08:53 - 01:08:56 | Speaker 1:

Oh, boy. That's not a good idea.

01:08:57 - 01:09:04 | Speaker 6:

Yeah, you don't want to bring Santa to an indie show and expect him to get drinking off some eggnog either.

01:09:04 - 01:09:18 | Speaker 1:

Right. Thanks for the call, buddy. I appreciate it. Thank you. Take care. In Toledo, Santa rides on a pontoon boat That sounds like a cool thing Santa, Tracy, where is this at? Trace?

01:09:19 - 01:09:44 | Speaker 2:

So it's Riverview Yacht Club on the Ottawa River And he does it every year I think it's this coming weekend But Santa gets in there And he's got little gifts for all the kids And they all come out along the bridge That goes over the Ottawa River And along the riverbanks And he'll pull up to different docks and give the kids goodies, and it's really cool. Everyone in the community gives it. That's awesome. Very cool.

01:09:44 - 01:09:50 | Speaker 1:

Nice thing to do. Sherry saw Santa Claus. Where was he shopping? Where's his store of choice?

01:09:51 - 01:09:54 | Speaker 4:

He was at Meyers on Alpine in Grand Rapids. Okay.

01:09:54 - 01:10:00 | Speaker 1:

That's a solid Meyers. It is. And is he pushing, like, one of the, you know.

01:10:00 - 01:10:15 | Speaker 3:

know the blue carts around and like throwing stuff in it he was he was who would have thought that's where santa gets all of our stuff from i thought the elves made the things do they do they give him a discount you think he's got the shoppers club cards or what

01:10:15 - 01:10:27 | Speaker 1:

that i don't know all right thank you one of the parents was like to their kids was like you didn't know he shopped at my ears did you that's by the way that's one way to get your kids

01:10:27 - 01:10:31 | Speaker 3:

to behave when you're going through the grocery store is have a Santa Claus walking around, right?

01:10:32 - 01:10:34 | Speaker 1:

Exactly, exactly.

01:10:34 - 01:10:35 | Speaker 3:

Hey, thank you for the call.

01:10:38 - 01:10:43 | Speaker 1:

Christmas is coming because I see a lot of ho-ho-hos at the mall, mall, mall. This is Mojo in the Morning.

01:10:44 - 01:12:58 | Speaker 3:

Mojo in the Morning Show. I hate when my wife is right. I hate it, I hate it, I hate it. And she's right again. She always would tell me with the kids, They see your habits, and they're going to lead by your example. Son of a bitch. Why does she have to be right all the time? So I was on the phone with Joe, my son Joe from the Joe Show, which, by the way, he was on Good Morning America yesterday. Wasn't that nice? He did a pie-eating contest. He met Gio Benitez, and I was, like, so excited about that. for some reason, I'm a TV nerd and I love all the people that are on TV. And I was like, oh, I love Gio Benitez. He was like, Dad, who's Gio Benitez? Now he's friends with him. Now they actually call each other and talk to each other. So I was on the phone with Joe and we're having a conversation. And while we're talking on the phone, I can always tell when the people I'm talking to aren't interested in my conversations. And it usually goes something like this. You're talking and all of a sudden you hear, So what else is new? So what else are you up to? So what else are you doing? Like they do that? They don't just sit there and just add to the conversation? And I go, son of a gun, this guy's using my lines. Because I do that all the time. Oh, my God, you do. And Chelsea said to me when the kids were younger, your kids see you on the phone all the time and not being engaged in the current moment. They're going to do the same thing when they're older. And Joe's doing this. so listen to what i did i'm a smart guy though i i'm talking to him and i can tell that he was doing something else and i said are you doing something else you want me to call you back later no no dad no no i'm good i'm good i'm good and and i said are you sure he goes no no no no so i hung up my phone and then i quickly hit facetime on my phone genius and when i hit facetime on the uh on the phone to call back he picks up the phone not realizing that it was now FaceTime and not, you know, a phone call. And the phone was just sitting on his little coffee table as, what is my son Joe doing there

01:12:58 - 01:13:01 | Speaker 4:

in that picture? Oh, he's playing some video games. Yes!

01:13:02 - 01:13:07 | Speaker 3:

He's got his Zumba pants or something on. Are those Zumba pants that he's wearing? What are those pants? What are those

01:13:07 - 01:13:11 | Speaker 4:

workout pants? You just did a close-up of his crotch. I have no idea.

01:13:12 - 01:13:56 | Speaker 3:

He's like all comfy and stuff. He's got his headset on. He's got his controller in front. Not doing anything. He was playing, I don't even know what he was playing. What's the latest thing that's out right now? Call of Duty. Oh, yeah, he's been talking about that. Call of Duty. So he's got Call of Duty going. And I'm going, this guy's got me beat at my own game, and Chelsea is right on this whole deal. I want to ask this question, and I want to ask the listeners. What did you bust someone doing while you were on the phone with them? What were they doing while you were on the phone with them? Because I busted Joe playing video games when he was supposed to be just having a conversation with his dad, getting some, you know, knowledge from his pops.

01:13:56 - 01:13:56 | Speaker 4:

Uh-huh.

01:13:57 - 01:14:06 | Speaker 3:

And then lying to me on that. I want to know, have you ever busted someone on the phone doing something that they shouldn't have been doing or maybe they were doing something that they weren't telling you that they were doing?

01:14:06 - 01:14:11 | Speaker 2:

Mike, what's the Mojo line? Because I get, when I'm on with Mojo, I get a, that's funny. That's funny.

01:14:12 - 01:14:17 | Speaker 4:

No, it was, so what else is, so. But that's funny. What else is going on?

01:14:17 - 01:14:28 | Speaker 2:

What else is going on? It'll get silent. You'll say something, and you're expecting a response. You're expecting a laugh or even anything back. And I'll go, hmm, so what else is new? What else is new?

01:14:29 - 01:14:45 | Speaker 4:

Or he'll do this. It gets quiet. And he'll be like, oh, is that Lucy in the background? You notice something in the background? Like nothing having to do with what we were just talking about. And then he'll go, Lucy, it's a mojo.

01:14:45 - 01:14:49 | Speaker 2:

He's more excited to talk to them than you.

01:14:51 - 01:15:00 | Speaker 4:

You know what the worst is? When you're FaceTiming with Mojo and then he just goes, so show me what's around. No, I'm not going to show you. You didn't follow the conversation.

01:15:00 - 01:15:02 | Speaker 6:

and now you're going to comment on something in the background?

01:15:02 - 01:15:15 | Speaker 2:

No. My ADD goes off in such a huge way. I will tell you that, Spike, I've gotten burned on the, that's funny. That's funny. Because somebody said something that wasn't necessarily funny and burned me on that.

01:15:15 - 01:15:21 | Speaker 3:

I saw my grandmother die. That's funny. So what else is going on?

01:15:21 - 01:15:50 | Speaker 6:

I was at Target last night. I know you guys are shocked. And the lady, there was a lady in the store who I kind of just like found myself following her. We were on the same path to get the same things, apparently. And she had somebody on FaceTime the entire time. She grocery shopped. Actually, she checked out in the self-checkout in front of me, and she propped her phone up. She actually went. She was at Starbucks in the Target with me as well and still had the person on the phone the entire time. That's absolutely fine. Some of us don't like being alone in public. I think that's what it was.

01:15:52 - 01:16:21 | Speaker 2:

844 Mojo Live or text is 95500. I love this text that just came in here. 734 says, I catch my mom always going to the bathroom while we're talking on the phone. You can hear the echo going. Another one here, I catch my husband eating all the time when he's on his way home to eat dinner. Remember when Chelsea would inspect my car that I had to stop off at the gas station by my house to throw away my wrappers beforehand?

01:16:21 - 01:16:22 | Speaker 6:

Why don't you still do that?

01:16:23 - 01:16:42 | Speaker 2:

I'm not as bad anymore on that. And she doesn't care anymore. She's like, whatever. You want to eat beforehand, eat beforehand. Oh, has anybody ever done this? Any of our listeners ever been on the phone with somebody and they were having sex? People that pick up the phone while they're having sex.

01:16:42 - 01:16:46 | Speaker 6:

I pushed out a baby while I was on the phone with two people in this room.

01:16:46 - 01:16:49 | Speaker 2:

That's right. Although you wouldn't let us listen the entire time.

01:16:49 - 01:16:52 | Speaker 6:

Actually, that's not true. I wasn't actually pushing out the baby. I was getting my epidural.

01:16:52 - 01:16:54 | Speaker 3:

If you love this show, you would have done it live.

01:16:55 - 01:16:57 | Speaker 2:

Andrew, what's up? It's Mojo in the Morning.

01:16:58 - 01:17:05 | Speaker 1:

Yeah, when I get someone who's just, you know, constantly talking and talking, I'm not that interested. Me and my friends, we always just sit there and say, oh, yeah, that's crazy.

01:17:07 - 01:17:12 | Speaker 2:

If you get more than one, oh, that's crazy, you know they're not listening.

01:17:13 - 01:17:15 | Speaker 1:

Exactly. That's crazy. Yeah.

01:17:15 - 01:17:30 | Speaker 2:

That's crazy. We're going to do a phone scam right now on Mojo in the Morning. Spike is going to phone scam Tiffany, who works at U-Haul, to see if he can rent a truck so that he could take a few dead bodies to the cemetery. See what her reaction is to that. It's Mojo in the Morning Phone Scam.

01:17:30 - 01:17:40 | Speaker 4:

We will, we will scam you. Sorry, it's a catchy song. It's your home of phone scams. Mojo in the Morning.

01:17:42 - 01:17:47 | Speaker 5:

Thank you for calling. Moving in storage. This is Tiffany speaking. How may I help you?

01:17:47 - 01:17:51 | Speaker 3:

Hey, Tiffany. It's Pauly Walnuts down at Irvine Cozzarelli Memorial Home. How you doing, Tiffany?

01:17:51 - 01:17:52 | Speaker 5:

I'm good, thank you.

01:17:52 - 01:17:56 | Speaker 3:

Good. You're doing better than me. You guys have any moving trucks available for this afternoon?

01:17:57 - 01:18:00 | Speaker 5:

Uh-huh. I can see. And for today?

01:18:01 - 01:18:08 | Speaker 3:

Yes, it's the afternoon as soon as possible. I got two funerals tonight and one more interment in the morning. So I could get your truck back in like 24 hours.

01:18:09 - 01:18:10 | Speaker 5:

Okay, what size truck did you want?

01:18:11 - 01:18:13 | Speaker 3:

It only needs to be about six feet long in the back.

01:18:14 - 01:18:23 | Speaker 5:

Okay. So 24 hours. So it's $19.95 plus every nine cents a mile. It's also $1 environmental fee.

01:18:24 - 01:18:40 | Speaker 3:

And is that refrigerated then? No. Do you have any refrigerated trucks? No, we do not. Yeah, see, I wasn't sure. My cousin Travis says he lived in one of your trucks for three months last summer, but he's Whiskey Tango, a little, you know, WT, white trash. So I never know when to believe him.

01:18:42 - 01:18:47 | Speaker 5:

He might have. I mean, he might have been a little, I don't know.

01:18:47 - 01:19:10 | Speaker 3:

Well, here's what I need. You tell me what kind of truck you have. I got to get, for the funeral home here, I got to transport the dearly departed to the memorial service and then to the Garden of Remembrance where the earthly remains are interned in their final resting place, blah, blah, blah, because our hearse, you know, like, blew up. My manager, Joey, forgot to get an oil change on the thing. Oh. Yeah, he's not the brightest bulb in the tanning bed.

01:19:11 - 01:19:11 | Speaker 5:

Me neither.

01:19:12 - 01:19:17 | Speaker 3:

So I need a truck in the worst way to get these bodies over to the church and then back here to the home.

01:19:18 - 01:19:20 | Speaker 5:

Hmm. I mean...

01:19:20 - 01:19:29 | Speaker 3:

Because we just need a temporary meat wagon. We don't need anything long-term, you know? Do you have any trucks that are, like, all black or all white, like, with no writing on the sides?

01:19:30 - 01:19:34 | Speaker 5:

No, we don't. Even the vans have writing on the sides.

01:19:34 - 01:19:38 | Speaker 3:

Oh, okay. You know, what are we going to do? Desperate times call for desperate measures.

01:19:39 - 01:19:48 | Speaker 5:

Yeah, I mean, unless you wanted to do the van, which is not as boxy, and then the back is nine feet long.

01:19:48 - 01:19:56 | Speaker 3:

Oh, that is perfect. It's smaller. Now, can I bring the corpses down with me and load them up once I sign the paperwork? Because I'm behind schedule to get them to the churches

01:19:56 - 01:19:58 | Speaker 5:

Yes, you can

01:19:58 - 01:19:59 | Speaker 3:

And these poor guys, what do they know?

01:20:00 - 01:20:03 | Speaker 1:

Well, I guess I shouldn't feel bad for these guys. There'll be worm food by the weekend. They don't even know.

01:20:04 - 01:20:05 | Speaker 3:

I know.

01:20:05 - 01:20:20 | Speaker 1:

You know, they kicked the bucket. That's all she wrote. They're departing. I mean, they've checked out. They bought the farm. Dance the last dance. You know what I'm saying? They're taking a dirt nap. They're with the angels now. They've been called home, gone to meet their maker.

01:20:21 - 01:20:24 | Speaker 3:

Yes, and they'll have a nice service. So that's all that matters.

01:20:24 - 01:20:52 | Speaker 1:

They wouldn't even know if it was a good service. We could take them to Dairy Queen. They're terminated. They don't know. Or as I like to say, they're immortally challenged. You know, if you will, living impaired. But this will be great. I use the van. That's even cheaper than the truck, right? Yes. Oh, that'll save the family's money. Oh, my gosh. That'll save the family so much money. We could do this funeral cheaper and deeper, if you know what I'm saying. Put it on the credit card, and these guys will be worm food by the weekend.

01:20:54 - 01:20:59 | Speaker 3:

Okay. Did you want me to go ahead on and do the reservation for you? that way that I'll guarantee the van will be there

01:20:59 - 01:21:05 | Speaker 1:

for you? Well, that depends. Would you want me to go ahead and tell you that you've just been the victim of a phone scam on Mojo in the Morning?

01:21:09 - 01:21:11 | Speaker 3:

Oh my gosh.

01:21:11 - 01:21:13 | Speaker 1:

You must deal with some crazy customers

01:21:13 - 01:21:16 | Speaker 3:

down there. I think you might be the craziest.

01:21:19 - 01:21:34 | Speaker 2:

We will, we will scam you. laugh all you want we'll get you eventually the world famous is the home of the world famous phone scams mojo in the morning

01:21:34 - 01:21:41 | Unknown:

One down, one down, one down, one down, make some noise, make some noise, make some noise.

01:21:41 - 01:21:45 | Speaker 2:

For Mojo, Mike Shannon, for Mojo in the morning!

01:22:04 - 01:23:30 | Speaker 4:

all right it is the mojo in the morning show so uh last week i had to uh i had to go to a uh a funeral unfortunately and i start laughing not because i had to go to a funeral but because i had to go to a funeral with my friend jeff zackler do you know jeff obviously right well then you can picture this one so jeff is a guy that i've known for a long time he's an awesome human being and i love him to death and he and i are uh are you know when we're together i feel like i don't know it's i feel like it's larry david and his friend jeff from curb your enthusiasm he's larry david i'm jeff so he says to me he goes hey i'm gonna come and i'm gonna pick you up and then we'll go to milford where the uh the wake was for uh for our friend tim lillard uh his beautiful wife passed away and is so sad. He's been a police officer, a friend of ours for a long time, you know? And so I'm waiting for Jeff to come to the house to grab me. And he comes a little bit late, but he has got this smile on his face laughing. Jeff went to the wrong house. He actually went to my neighbor's house right next door. Yeah. Isn't that funny? He's been to my house numerous times. Matter of fact, Jeff helped me find my house.

01:23:30 - 01:23:38 | Speaker 1:

Knowing him, he was probably on his phone at the time Because he's always talking to three people at once

01:23:38 - 01:23:56 | Speaker 4:

Well, here's the funniest part He walked up to my neighbor's front door Rang the doorbell And when my neighbor Arvin came to the door He said, is Thomas the Tank Engine here? For those that don't know, my real name is Tom And Arvin looked at him like, huh? And he goes, Thomas the Tank Engine Where's Thomas the Tank Engine at?

01:23:56 - 01:23:57 | Speaker 1:

They're like, oh, there's a crazy man

01:23:57 - 01:24:29 | Speaker 4:

And he tried to step into the house and walk into the house. And Arvin's kind of like, no, there's no Thomas the Tank engines here. I haven't had a Thomas the Tank engine since my kids were, like, really little. Jeff went to the wrong house. Has that ever happened to any of our listeners? Now, Jeff was completely sober. This was just Jeff. That's just the Jeff thing. But has that ever happened to any of our listeners when maybe you weren't so sober? Have you ever gone to the wrong house or gone into the wrong apartment or whatever? My poor neighbor. First off, my neighbor's great. He's a great family.

01:24:29 - 01:24:31 | Speaker 2:

Great name, by the way, for this story.

01:24:31 - 01:24:32 | Speaker 4:

Arvin. Arvin, yes. Arvin.

01:24:33 - 01:24:34 | Speaker 2:

It just is a fabulous name.

01:24:34 - 01:24:59 | Speaker 4:

Arvin and Jeff and Thomas the Tank. And then Jeff drives like a little car. It's a nice car. It's like a sports car and stuff. And you should see me trying to get into this damn thing. Like I drive a Tahoe, a big Chevy Tahoe. It was like me trying to get. First off, I felt like you're I feel like you're riding on a

01:25:00 - 01:25:32 | Speaker 7:

Like on the floor because the thing is so low to the ground. And so I have to get into his car and he goes, are you okay in there? And he goes, yes. I felt like a NASCAR driver climbing through the window. When you get out, do you have to do the rock? Oh, yeah. The rock to get out of the seat. And then you know it's bad. Thomas is truly a tank engine when he's trying to get through on this thing. 844-MOJO-LIVE, 844-665-6548. Julie, what's happening here? Let's grab her first to kick this off. Julie, hi.

01:25:34 - 01:25:37 | Speaker 2:

Hi. Hold on. I've got to take you off Bluetooth. Thank you. Okay.

01:25:37 - 01:25:42 | Speaker 7:

No worries. I want to know, who was it that went into the wrong house, Julie?

01:25:43 - 01:26:06 | Speaker 2:

It was me. I went into my sister's house. So I went to go into my sister's house, and I walked into the garage, and I knocked on the door like I usually do. I walk in the house. These little dogs come up to me. I'm like, hi, hi, little doggies. How are you? You know, my sister's always got friends over. And I'm walking in, and I'm like, hi, Donna. You home, Donna?

01:26:07 - 01:26:17 | Speaker 7:

Oh, no, we lost you. Oh, we didn't get to hear how it ends. Again, how is it that you don't know that that's not your sister's house? I guess you're caught up in a moment or something.

01:26:17 - 01:26:18 | Speaker 3:

Well, if there's doggies, I'm looking at the doggies.

01:26:19 - 01:26:19 | Speaker 7:

What's up, Andrew?

01:26:21 - 01:26:34 | Speaker 3:

Yeah, I just wanted to make a comment about one time I was up on Mackinac Island, and I was getting breakfast for the family and on my way back I opened up the hotel door and I seen like five kids who were not mine on the floor.

01:26:35 - 01:26:39 | Speaker 4:

They're not me with their dad looking at me and I was like, oh, this is not the room, I'm sorry.

01:26:42 - 01:26:57 | Speaker 7:

Hey, BJ, what's going on? It's Mojo in the morning. Is it BJ on this line? Hi, BJ. This is CJ. CJ, I apologize. What's up, buddy? What's going on? How you doing? Did you walk into the wrong house? Yes, I did. What happened? What were you doing?

01:26:58 - 01:27:25 | Speaker 6:

So I work at Ann Arbor University townhouses. I'm a maintenance guy, and I'm working on this lady's sink. And next thing I know is I have to go out to my truck, and I got to get some tools. I got to grab some parts. The next thing I know is I'm going back to the house, and I'm grabbing some tools. Next thing I know is I walk in the house, it's the wrong house

01:27:25 - 01:27:27 | Speaker 7:

Oh, jeez, my God

01:27:27 - 01:27:34 | Speaker 6:

Honestly, that would have been my dream come true I would have given you a list of stuff to fix I have things to fix next door, I'm so sorry

01:27:34 - 01:27:38 | Speaker 3:

While you're here, can you fix this?

01:27:38 - 01:27:49 | Speaker 6:

I'm going to figure stuff, I'm going to make sure things are okay Yeah The thing I know is I'm walking outside, I walk in with the neighbors And they're like, what's going on? Where were you?

01:27:49 - 01:27:54 | Speaker 7:

you know what the problem is all those places look the same that's the problem what's up sully

01:27:54 - 01:28:29 | Speaker 5:

hey what's happening guys how you doing not too bad happy monday happy monday to you man you walked into the wrong house uh yeah well you know not all the way in but we went to the wrong house uh it was about two years ago during the pandemic i dressed up as easter bunny and we drove around and passed out baskets to my little cousins and we went to my uncle's neighborhood and i uh knocked on the wrong house they came out looking freaking out it was all backed out in the house so we thought it was this house we looked to our right and he's down there dying laughing on his porch about a quarter mile down just rolling on the ground dying laughing

01:28:29 - 01:28:34 | Speaker 7:

what do you do though if you're sitting in your living room and you have no expectations that a

01:28:34 - 01:28:42 | Speaker 1:

easter bunny is going to be i'd be terrified i know renee are you there i'm here hi renee renee Hi.

01:28:42 - 01:28:45 | Speaker 7:

Your walk into the wrong house was very embarrassing. What happened?

01:28:47 - 01:29:34 | Speaker 1:

Yeah. So we were just talking about this yesterday, sharing. So a few years ago, my boyfriend and I were sitting around our house. We had a living room full of our family. We're all opening up gifts, watching each other, having a good time, laughing. and all of a sudden I look up and I see this strange man standing between the dining area and the living room just watching us laughing and he's just watching us and I am like who is this man and I tap my boyfriend's leg like to get his attention like do you see this guy and he looks up at the same time everyone notices the guy and we're all staring at him and he just looks at us And he says, I think I'm in the wrong house.

01:29:37 - 01:29:39 | Speaker 7:

Which he meant to go to a neighbor's house or something?

01:29:40 - 01:29:54 | Speaker 1:

Yeah. So we were in a newer neighborhood. And there were three houses. Our house and our neighbor's house, they're similar. Gray, different shades of gray. He had never been over to his son's house. And it was his first time over there.

01:29:55 - 01:29:56 | Speaker 7:

Oh, no. Poor old guy.

01:29:57 - 01:29:59 | Speaker 1:

Oh, yeah. No, we had never even met our neighbor.

01:30:00 - 01:30:02 | Speaker 4:

It was funny to talk about the next spring when we met him.

01:30:03 - 01:30:03 | Speaker 3:

Oh, that's great.

01:30:03 - 01:30:21 | Speaker 1:

I love how he was so kind to just sit back and watch you guys open it up but not say, excuse me, is so-and-so here? He let you guys finish your nice moment with each other. Yeah, it was funny. That's crazy. That had to, by the way, make you almost poop your pants.

01:30:22 - 01:30:23 | Speaker 4:

Yeah, pretty much.

01:30:23 - 01:30:25 | Speaker 1:

I would all of a sudden see a strange person there.

01:30:25 - 01:30:29 | Speaker 2:

And it gives that family a story to tell every year at this holiday time.

01:30:29 - 01:30:30 | Speaker 1:

What's happening, Lauren?

01:30:31 - 01:30:32 | Speaker 4:

Oh, hi. Good morning.

01:30:32 - 01:30:36 | Speaker 1:

Good morning. You didn't walk into the wrong house. What did you walk into?

01:30:37 - 01:30:39 | Speaker 4:

Mine was a lot more public. I walked into the wrong car.

01:30:40 - 01:30:40 | Speaker 1:

Oh, gosh.

01:30:40 - 01:30:41 | Speaker 4:

Oh, yeah. Oh, no.

01:30:42 - 01:30:44 | Speaker 1:

And were there people, like, watching you do this?

01:30:46 - 01:31:21 | Speaker 4:

Yeah, oh, yeah. It was very public. I just got my new car, and we went out to eat. So I was, like, the last one out of the restaurant getting all the food and making sure the coats are there. So I'm talking and walking And I open the door and I sit down And I look over My family is two cars down in my car I was two cars And everyone's looking at me As I do the walk of shame to my car With everything I had unloaded In the car The whole entire Brighton area Oh my god Yeah it was mortifying And my family loves the public gathering

01:31:21 - 01:31:30 | Speaker 1:

That's so great What's going on Elena? Yes. Hi. How are you? Hi. This is actually pretty funny. Elena walked into the wrong house

01:31:30 - 01:32:08 | Speaker 5:

going to a pure romance party. No. Yes. So I had two of my friends with me. We all had bottles of wine and we were going to a friend's house who we've been to many times. And I was driving and I pulled into the driveway and thought that was the right house. I went three houses in. Yeah. Walked up inside. A guy answered the door. Didn't recognize him, but I thought, Eh, maybe somebody's here, that's kind of strange He had kids in his house And I kind of barged my way into the house And he just kept looking at us Like what are you doing in my bedroom This isn't it, this isn't it And they were backing up off the porch And I was still thinking There's just some random people here

01:32:08 - 01:32:11 | Speaker 2:

Well yeah, he's not going to stop a bunch of women With wine and toys in their hands

01:32:11 - 01:32:18 | Speaker 1:

When he's tossed by my house Does the Amazon driver think This house again?

01:32:18 - 01:32:23 | Speaker 5:

You can just leave it at the door. This is Mojo in the Morning.

01:32:24 - 01:32:39 | Speaker 1:

What is the deal with Megan's dog photo shoot? Thank you to Megan for just making things wonderful as you put Coraline, your dog, in a sleigh. How did you get...

01:32:39 - 01:33:25 | Speaker 3:

Where did you get the sleigh? Okay, well, first of all, credit goes to Mike. Because Mike came up with this idea based on the podcast that we do every single week. we recorded an episode yesterday and that that sleigh if you listen to the podcast is actually a part of my childhood that I remembered being giant and then as an adult I set it up and was like this is the smallest Christmas decoration I've ever seen in my entire life why did I think this was so big when I was little and Mike was like well how big is it I said you know it's itty bitty and he's like big enough for your dog to fit in it and I said yeah and I was like oh So, ding, ding, ding, here's an idea. Put that dog in a sleigh, let's go. And I said, I'll do you one better. I have an elf costume for my dog.

01:33:25 - 01:33:26 | Speaker 1:

Oh, my God.

01:33:26 - 01:33:53 | Speaker 3:

Let me put my dog in the elf costume in the sleigh in my front yard and have a little photo shoot. So, you should know, yesterday I may have been under the influence of some things when I dressed up my dog, grabbed a handful of pepperoni, and hit my front yard. But I also had headphones on. Pepperoni? You gave pepperoni a shout-out. It's the best. It's like crack for dogs. If you're a sponsor of my dog, please, please. She loves. It's the only treat that she will eat.

01:33:53 - 01:34:01 | Speaker 1:

Will you go, please, and check this out? At Megan Mick, M-E-A-G-H-A-N-M-I-C-K.

01:34:02 - 01:34:02 | Unknown:

Thank you.

01:34:03 - 01:34:27 | Speaker 3:

But I'm wearing headphones while this is going on. And I'm listening to Harry Styles and Dell, something like that. And I'm laughing like a villain in a Disney movie. Like, tackling to myself. Time of your life. She looks so... You guys, it was supposed to be a joke. They turned out fantastic. Oh, my God. This might be the best photo I've ever taken in my entire life.

01:34:27 - 01:34:31 | Speaker 1:

This is actually beautiful. First off, Coraline looks like Coraline's posing.

01:34:31 - 01:34:32 | Speaker 3:

It's perfect.

01:34:32 - 01:34:38 | Speaker 1:

Her posture is impeccable. I can't believe it. First off, I didn't even know that a dog enjoyed a hat being put on their head.

01:34:38 - 01:34:41 | Speaker 3:

Oh, she hated it. It was the pepperoni that was motivated.

01:34:41 - 01:34:47 | Speaker 2:

And she's sitting up so straight, it truly looks like she's navigating and, you know, commanding that sleigh.

01:34:47 - 01:35:04 | Speaker 3:

It looks like Santa had a heart attack, and the only way Christmas was going to be saved is if she figured out the reindeer names in order to take off on the sleigh, and she was ready for the responsibility. That's the only way I can describe this photo.

01:35:04 - 01:35:23 | Speaker 1:

Let me tell you something. I'm going to say this. I don't know the legalities of pictures and watermarks and all that stuff. You should copyright this picture or do whatever you can. Because this picture is going to be stolen and there's going to be somebody using it for something. Because that is, honestly, that is a beautiful picture. You know what? Is Reese driving?

01:35:23 - 01:35:24 | Speaker 2:

I could post it on all that stuff right now.

01:35:24 - 01:35:32 | Speaker 3:

You better put a logo on that thing. Put the Mojo in the Morning logo on it or whatever and throw it up there. Watermark that for me, baby.

01:35:32 - 01:35:53 | Speaker 1:

Make sure that you also plug that they can hear all the details about this by listening through our More Mojo podcast. But Mike and Megan have a podcast that they do every single week. And this was all the fun of that podcast. Did you see that?

01:35:53 - 01:36:03 | Speaker 3:

It wasn't until I was done and I turned around that I saw two of my neighbors staring at me. Touching me. And truly enjoying myself too much during this whole process.

01:36:03 - 01:36:19 | Speaker 5:

Can I tell you something? This truly brought me happiness because I was so mad at myself that I forgot to schedule my Santa picture with Charlie. The local pet shop here, Premier Pet Supply, does Santa photos with your pets, and I forgot to do it again this year.

01:36:19 - 01:36:34 | Speaker 1:

Well, guess what? Now I know I've got a sleigh to work with. No, no, now you've got to get Charlie's picture taken with Buddy the Elf or Cora the Elf. Megan's going to be out this weekend taking photos for you with your dogs.

01:36:34 - 01:36:34 | Speaker 3:

This is so good.

01:36:35 - 01:36:40 | Speaker 1:

You can make money off this thing, Megan, I'm telling you. You can turn this into a little side hustle here for you.

01:36:40 - 01:36:46 | Speaker 3:

I've never been more proud, and then I was pissed the best photo I've ever taken in my life was of my dog and not of me.

01:36:47 - 01:36:54 | Speaker 5:

I was like, are you kidding me? with a station to put the rum in Merry Christmas from Mojo in the Morning

01:36:54 - 01:36:58 | Speaker 2:

It's the second date update on Mojo in the Morning

01:36:58 - 01:37:25 | Speaker 1:

Alright, so here's the story, second date update If you're not getting a call back after you went on a date or a few dates with someone, you can text date to 95500 and we'll get you on a future second date update. Anna is on with us right now, so Anna you guys have been on a few dates with each other, right? Yes that it's correct and it's not until just recently that you you have been ghosted you're you've not

01:37:25 - 01:38:00 | Speaker 4:

been getting calls or texts back yeah completely radio silent what do you think the reasoning is honestly like i have no idea i'm i'm all for ghosting i think you know if you don't think it's going to be a good fit after like one date fine i'm not very concerned about that at all but But me and Scotty have gone out on, like, a few dates, you know? And, I mean, we slept together a few times. Really? I have no, like, absolutely no clue.

01:38:00 - 01:38:06 | Speaker 1:

Why all of a sudden? Yeah, the last time that you guys communicated with each other, was anything said that might have been taken wrong?

01:38:07 - 01:38:32 | Speaker 4:

No, we actually had plans to hang out again. And, like, hey, next week, you know, do you want to go get coffee in the morning? And so as I was texting, that was on, like, a Friday night. Since I didn't get any texts back from, you know, Saturday on, I was like, um, okay, um, what?

01:38:33 - 01:38:38 | Speaker 1:

Let's find out what the story is. He's on the phone with us. Scott, are you okay with your voice on the radio?

01:38:40 - 01:38:40 | Speaker 2:

Yeah.

01:38:41 - 01:38:53 | Speaker 4:

sure say hello to Anna hi Anna how are you um I've been better but it's good to hear your voice

01:38:53 - 01:39:09 | Speaker 1:

yeah so what's this story I mean you got a chance to hear her say that everything was going good and then all of a sudden nothing are you doing okay is everything okay yeah everything everything's

01:39:09 - 01:39:53 | Speaker 2:

fine so i mean i'll just come out with it here's the deal i i just hung out with my sister i'd say you know like two weeks ago i haven't seen her in a while and uh you know i was really excited to tell her that you know about us and how i've had a couple dates and she knows you from college and basically told me no uh-uh why what why no basically that you got around a lot in college and has been known to do that and that i should stay away wait a second like first of all who's

01:39:53 - 01:40:01 | Speaker 1:

your sister without saying without saying last names Do you want to say what her first name is?

01:40:03 - 01:40:15 | Speaker 3:

No, I'm not going to do that. I'm just taking her word for it because apparently you've been known to get around a lot.

01:40:15 - 01:40:27 | Speaker 1:

Well, listen, can I just go on record to say that we don't know for sure what this is all about. We also know that when you're in college, you do certain things.

01:40:27 - 01:40:36 | Speaker 2:

I was going to say, if people are still being judged for how they were in college, who they were in college. What, do you want to see everybody's papers first and see if there isn't?

01:40:38 - 01:40:51 | Speaker 3:

No, I mean, it's different. Of course, we all mess around in college, but Mallory says that you were known to get around more than usual. That's all.

01:40:51 - 01:41:27 | Speaker 5:

Mallory, this makes so much more sense. This makes so much more sense. Well, first of all, I mean, I'm a 27-year-old woman. Like, I'm an adult now. That was over six years ago that I was in college. That's, like, over half a decade. Like, people grow. People change. And I don't understand why all of us in this conversation are agreeing that everybody makes bad decisions and messes around in college. Yet, I'm being punished because your sister, who had a problem with me back then, too.

01:41:27 - 01:41:34 | Speaker 3:

It's more than just messing around. Apparently, you were known to be a... I don't want to say it. Never mind. Never mind.

01:41:34 - 01:41:37 | Speaker 4:

Well, yeah. I mean, you're alluding to it, so we understand.

01:41:38 - 01:41:40 | Speaker 1:

Why do you want me to pick that line up, Ellen?

01:41:41 - 01:41:42 | Speaker 5:

That's his sister.

01:41:42 - 01:41:43 | Speaker 1:

His sister's on the phone?

01:41:43 - 01:41:44 | Speaker 2:

Oh, okay. Here we go.

01:41:46 - 01:41:47 | Speaker 1:

What is your name?

01:41:47 - 01:41:50 | Speaker 4:

hi Mallory

01:41:50 - 01:41:53 | Speaker 1:

Mallory what's up so you're Scott's sister

01:41:53 - 01:41:56 | Speaker 4:

correct yeah I am

01:41:56 - 01:41:59 | Speaker 2:

and you're the one reporting on the past

01:41:59 - 01:42:04 | Speaker 4:

oh yeah yeah can confirm we're talking about whole sports teams y'all

01:42:04 - 01:42:12 | Speaker 1:

well listen I don't want to do this on the radio then if that's going to be the case because I don't want to put Anna in a weird spot

01:42:12 - 01:42:17 | Speaker 2:

yeah we don't need to share details but why do you feel you need to report all that to him?

01:42:19 - 01:42:33 | Speaker 4:

Because I mean, it was she was like really really rumored to like be everywhere. Wow, that's a big word, rumored. I don't know what kind of I don't know what kind of disease is. Like, I don't know what her

01:42:33 - 01:42:41 | Speaker 2:

Hang on. You don't know this for a fact. You're saying rumors. What if somebody reports to her everything he did when he was in college?

01:42:41 - 01:43:04 | Speaker 1:

that is not my brother i know i know my brother but but but the other thing too is that like we said the past is the past and why are you getting involved in your brother's relationship like why is a sister getting involved in her brother's relationship well this also may have involved

01:43:04 - 01:43:10 | Speaker 4:

someone that i was dating at the time and i just don't trust a girl oh so there's the reason so

01:43:10 - 01:43:20 | Speaker 1:

So for some way, somehow, Anna had a relationship with somebody that you were in a relationship with, and that's where you get a little bit upset about this.

01:43:21 - 01:43:26 | Speaker 4:

There was some crossover, yes. I don't trust. Anna. She's loose. She has a loose moral.

01:43:26 - 01:43:39 | Speaker 1:

Well, listen, I'm going to say this to you right now. I'm going to say I'm going to take you and Scott off the air right now because I'm not going to do this to Anna. But I think, Scott, you're weak for listening to your sister and not at least fully having a conversation.

01:43:39 - 01:43:43 | Speaker 2:

Well, and it gives less credibility to what she says. She obviously has a chip on her shoulder about her.

01:43:43 - 01:43:50 | Speaker 1:

And I'm sorry about that. Hang on one sec. Hang on one sec because I want to take some calls from listeners and see what their thoughts are. Go ahead. What were you going to say? What was your comment?

01:43:51 - 01:44:14 | Speaker 5:

It's absolutely ridiculous that, like, 18, 19, that's what we're talking about. The decisions of a 19-year-old, which also I never, ever actually slept with Mallory's boyfriend. She always thought I did Because we were friends And we were in the same major And I don't understand people's Jealousy and just No

01:44:14 - 01:44:20 | Speaker 4:

Also that was more than six years ago Like okay Question for you though

01:44:20 - 01:44:31 | Speaker 1:

You didn't realize when you were going out with You know Scott That his Family was Related to somebody that you went to school with

01:44:31 - 01:44:54 | Speaker 5:

No absolutely not like i mean i know a lot of no he has a pretty basic last name i mean i'm know a lot of people with the same last names yeah but no i would never and again that was so long ago i would have never been like oh no i hope that's not mallory like you know i'm like

01:44:54 - 01:44:58 | Speaker 1:

hold on one sec comments from listeners joey what did you want to say

01:44:58 - 01:44:59 | Speaker 5:

I just

01:45:00 - 01:45:15 | Speaker 10:

think this is a kind of a personal vendetta i think she didn't like her from the beginning and you know and all you know it goes back to like how old is this guy if you like still breastfed by his mom and and listening to his sister it's crazy yeah they're not you know they're not even 30 years old they're in their late you know what are you 27 is that what you

01:45:15 - 01:45:22 | Speaker 5:

said uh anna yeah i'm 27 i think he's 20 yeah he's 26 and and still worried about this joy what's up

01:45:23 - 01:45:51 | Speaker 4:

i'm telling i think this girl just doesn't want to be related to her like and honestly honey you're going to dodge a bullet i'm sorry because it's sad you and that gentleman could have hit it off if the sister stayed in her lane but the truth of it is maybe you know something about her that she doesn't want around and truthfully do you want that for a sister-in-law i know you guys are only a couple dates and not talking marriage but dang yeah yeah that's a good point it says so much

01:45:51 - 01:45:56 | Speaker 2:

about that family that they would band together and you know kind of come against you in that way

01:45:56 - 01:45:57 | Speaker 10:

Taylor, what's up?

01:45:58 - 01:46:19 | Speaker 7:

Hi. I just want to point out, like, this is so typical of shaming women nowadays. She wants to bring up that he could get diseases. They've already slept together. So the diseases that she must have, he's already got them. It's just very typical of shaming women. And it's so sad that a woman would do this to another woman.

01:46:19 - 01:46:41 | Speaker 10:

Well, the other thing, too, is that it's obviously, you know, here's her brother who's out there making adult decisions, and she's trying to shame Anna for what she's doing. But yet, like you said, the brother is making the same decisions of having sex. Thank you for the call. Terry, this same thing happened to you, Terry?

01:46:43 - 01:47:19 | Speaker 8:

Yes, the same thing actually just happened. Oh, my God. Can I believe I'm on the phone with you guys? But I love you all have been a kid. We love you back. Yeah. 10 years. So, yeah, back to the story, though. My boyfriend is currently locked up. And someone in there told him about a guy I slept with over 10 years ago. And he got upset about it. And he's like, well, who else have you slept with? And I'm like, I'm not about to tell you that. I don't tell anybody my body count. You know, like who talks about the past? You know, he's been really uncomfortable with me the past few days. And I think we're on the edge of breaking up. And it's like, it's so unfair

01:47:19 - 01:47:21 | Speaker 3:

Just over that

01:47:21 - 01:47:22 | Speaker 8:

Yeah

01:47:22 - 01:47:30 | Speaker 3:

He just wants to break up just over that That you won't share I guess that's how he feels

01:47:30 - 01:47:41 | Speaker 10:

Can I tell you, that might be the dumbest thing ever That a guy who's in jail Wants to break up with a girl who's not in jail Because he's not going to be able to find somebody else While he's in jail, right?

01:47:42 - 01:47:54 | Speaker 8:

Oh, he can find somebody else That guy I feel like it's not fair to judge someone off their past, let alone like she said. That happened so long ago. And I'm a new woman. Everybody evolves.

01:47:55 - 01:47:56 | Speaker 6:

Yeah, definitely.

01:47:57 - 01:48:00 | Speaker 10:

Carrie, what's up? Or Carrie Lynn, I'm sorry, what's up?

01:48:01 - 01:48:11 | Speaker 6:

Morning. I would not be married to my husband for 10 years now if he listened to one phone call from his siblings. Sisters are the

01:48:11 - 01:48:14 | Speaker 10:

worst. Really? What happened? Did they all talk bad about you?

01:48:15 - 01:48:34 | Speaker 6:

All the time. And it was the same deal. He was married previously, and it was the same thing with her. It's like grow up, let him live his own life, and just move on. Like, we have the meddling sisters, mother-in-law, everybody, and we stay strong. We're going on 10 years married, so.

01:48:35 - 01:48:51 | Speaker 10:

Oh, my gosh. Wow, that's crazy. So they all try to play a part in what you guys are doing. um and i'm sorry that you uh you had to uh endure this i'm sorry that you had to put up with this and um i appreciate you going on the air for second date update and i think you're probably

01:48:51 - 01:49:22 | Speaker 5:

better off no i really appreciate you guys for doing this like i feel both very very awful right now like i definitely feel shamed for again decisions of an 18 19 year old like i wouldn't go into a college today and just start like screaming like at anybody being like, you're making a way No, like and I mean, like a lot of people said, maybe I really did dodge a bullet This sounds like an awful Thanksgiving to be a part of

01:49:22 - 01:49:30 | Speaker 1:

If he's not texting you back don't worry, it's cause you're left him speechless

01:49:30 - 01:49:32 | Speaker 2:

This is Mojo in the Morning

01:49:37 - 01:50:00 | Speaker 10:

Mojo in the Morning Show. Mojo, Spike, and Shannon, Megan, Mike, KP, Lydia, Reese, and Katie. It's good to have you guys here with us. Our breaking and entering Christmas wishes. Go to mojoswish.org today and find out more about it. I want to give a big...

01:50:00 - 01:50:25 | Speaker 1:

Big shout-out, thank you, to the Imagine Theaters, Red Robin, and Clean View Auto Wash. Those amazing people helped us make this possible, as well as so many amazing people behind the scenes that help us do Breaking and Entering, Christmas Wish, and the letter writers. There's so many people that are writing letters for friends and family members. We go live to Mike right now. Mike, good morning, Mike.

01:50:26 - 01:50:27 | Speaker 4:

Good morning.

01:50:27 - 01:50:28 | Speaker 1:

How are you, buddy?

01:50:28 - 01:50:31 | Speaker 4:

I'm good. But we're sitting outside right now. We're so excited.

01:50:31 - 01:50:44 | Speaker 1:

You know what? You do get excited. I saw you loading up the Mojo in the Morning Zot Ford vehicles. And I loved what you guys, you know, how you guys do it. You guys do it singing to each other. It's really kind of interesting.

01:50:45 - 01:50:48 | Speaker 4:

Absolutely. You don't sing when you load in gifts? You have to.

01:50:48 - 01:50:54 | Speaker 1:

Well, it does make the spirit of the season so much better, right? Instead of, ah, hand me that. I'm going to put that right over here.

01:50:55 - 01:51:05 | Speaker 4:

Yeah, absolutely. I got the whole Trinity Health family here with me, too, and we're all very excited, including the big boss, Dr. Hudson, is here as well.

01:51:05 - 01:51:20 | Speaker 1:

Oh, this is sweet. So this is an amazing woman who had a horrible tragedy just recently happened to her with the loss of the love of her life. And this story is so touching. And actually, Mackenzie, thank you for writing this beautiful letter.

01:51:20 - 01:51:32 | Speaker 2:

Yeah, absolutely. Misty is definitely a wonderful woman. and she is so uplifting so just I mean I don't think anybody could ever say enough good things

01:51:32 - 01:51:55 | Speaker 1:

about her yeah you're getting emotional I know and I was just talking about her just to give people an idea what this is all about because sometimes we don't tell people why we call it breaking and entering Christmas wish Missy has no idea what's about to happen to her she's trying to get the kids ready for school as a single mom who works many jobs and we are just like hundreds of feet from her home with truckloads of vehicles.

01:51:56 - 01:52:02 | Speaker 5:

We can see her moving around in there right now. She will be right by the door as we are walking up. Perfect.

01:52:02 - 01:52:24 | Speaker 1:

You guys do us a favor, okay? You guys stay there and then we're going to dial her up and we're going to call her up and break into her home with Christmas. Hello? Hello. Is this Misty?

01:52:25 - 01:52:25 | Speaker 5:

Yeah.

01:52:26 - 01:52:28 | Speaker 1:

Misty, it's Mojo in the morning.

01:52:29 - 01:52:31 | Speaker 5:

Oh, hi.

01:52:31 - 01:52:35 | Speaker 1:

I know. You're probably getting the kids ready, aren't you, for school?

01:52:35 - 01:52:36 | Speaker 3:

Yeah.

01:52:37 - 01:52:48 | Speaker 1:

I am so sorry to bother you this early in the morning, but we received a letter from our Mojo in the morning breaking and entering Christmas wish program, and that letter was about you and the kids.

01:52:50 - 01:52:50 | Speaker 4:

Oh.

01:52:51 - 01:52:56 | Speaker 1:

And the person who wrote the letter wants to read it to you, okay? Okay. All right, take a listen.

01:52:57 - 01:54:26 | Speaker 3:

Dear Marjo's Breaking and Entering Christmas Wish, my name is Mackenzie, and on behalf of myself and all of my coworkers at Trinity Health Healthy Primary Care, I want to introduce to you a coworker of mine, Misty. Misty is a hardworking single mom of two kids, Mia and Jake. He worked full-time as a medical assistant for Trinity Health, and on the weekends, he was a server and bartender at Stiver's Bar. He's been juggling the schedule for almost a year and is still struggling to make ends meet. On November 2nd, the father of Misty's children and her partner for more than 13 years was tragically killed. He was walking over 10 miles to work every day, and on that fateful day, he was stressed by two vehicles. He was only 36. This has absolutely crushed the family. He's struggling to buy groceries, run winter clothing, and even putting food on the table is extraordinarily tough. 13-year-old Mia helps forever and whenever he can with her mom so she can continue to work. She's an especially big help with her younger brother Jace, who is autistic. She's had to grow up much quicker than most kids her age. Mojo, this sweet family deserves to have the Christmas of a lifetime. Sincerely, Mackenzie.

01:54:28 - 01:54:36 | Speaker 1:

Thank you. Miss D, we're so sorry for your loss.

01:54:37 - 01:54:38 | Unknown:

Thank you.

01:54:38 - 01:54:50 | Speaker 1:

Yeah, what a horrible tragedy, and you're just trying to keep things together for those kids. boy you just sound like you have the most amazing children oh they're pretty off and you

01:54:50 - 01:55:00 | Speaker 2:

also sound like a super mom over there doing everything that you can to to make just life happen for everybody in that house?

01:55:03 - 01:55:05 | Speaker 4:

Just trying day by day. Yeah.

01:55:06 - 01:55:41 | Speaker 1:

Well, you've got some friends over at Trinity Health that love you so much, and they talk about how hard you work, and boy, the amount of jobs that you have and the fact that you go from one to the other, and on top of that with the kids, is amazing. We want to grant McKenzie and everybody at Trinity Health Chelsea Primary Care's wish for you. and we want to make this Christmas one of your best Christmases you've ever had. And we want to do it right now. I hope you don't mind this, but...

01:55:41 - 01:55:46 | Speaker 2:

Is it okay if we make the kids a few minutes late for school? We'll get them there, don't worry. Okay.

01:55:48 - 01:55:57 | Speaker 1:

We have Mackenzie along with all your coworkers and we also have Mike from our show who just so happened to be out in front of your house right now.

01:55:58 - 01:56:00 | Speaker 3:

Oh, God, no. No, no, no, no.

01:56:01 - 01:56:06 | Speaker 2:

That's them knocking. This is why we call it breaking and entering Christmas wishes.

01:56:06 - 01:56:07 | Speaker 3:

Jesus Christ!

01:56:12 - 01:56:14 | Speaker 4:

You guys couldn't warn you?

01:56:16 - 01:56:22 | Speaker 1:

No, we're not going to warn you. We're not warning you. We're bringing Christmas to you this morning.

01:56:22 - 01:56:30 | Speaker 3:

Mike

01:56:30 - 01:56:51 | Speaker 4:

Yeah, there's a lot of elves

01:56:51 - 01:57:03 | Speaker 1:

That's a crew that we have For a breaking and entering Christmas And they are bringing in Bags and boxes Full of all kinds of stuff For you guys

01:57:03 - 01:57:04 | Speaker 4:

Oh my god

01:57:04 - 01:57:37 | Speaker 2:

Misty I mean obviously they're going to have All the things you need this Christmas Like hats and gloves and new bedding And all the things for your family that are necessities But also all our elves Are bringing in lots of goodies For the kids to really Brighten up their Christmas We thought Mia could use a new TV, and we got her Apple gift card so she can go get the gadgets she wants. And Jace is going to get Mario Kart, Nintendo Switch, and soccer ball, and baseball mitt, and everything that's on his list from Santa.

01:57:39 - 01:57:56 | Speaker 5:

I know what I just found out, too, is that Misty is big into cooking, so we got you a full-on cooking set. I heard Mia is taking after you and wants to learn how to cook and help out. I like to. He was good at it. You want to take after her, Dad?

01:57:56 - 01:57:57 | Unknown:

Yes.

01:57:57 - 01:57:59 | Speaker 5:

Well, we got you a full cooking set so she can start.

01:58:00 - 01:58:39 | Speaker 1:

Wow. And that full cooking set needs food. So our friends at Kroger are giving you more than $500 in gift cards so that we can stock your cupboards with everything that you need. And, Misty, I think of the tragedy that happened with knowing how tough things are right now, just trying to pay your bills and just do the normal, but the fact that your love of your life was having to walk 10 miles to and from work, and that to me just shows the hard work that you guys have to make sure you put a roof over your children's head.

01:58:39 - 01:58:40 | Speaker 2:

You did whatever it took.

01:58:41 - 01:58:50 | Speaker 1:

Can you tell us what he was like, what kind of a dad he was, and what kind of a man he was?

01:58:51 - 01:59:03 | Speaker 4:

He was a good person. He wasn't very emotional like me. But he always helped. He was such a good dad. He loved his kids so much.

01:59:04 - 01:59:13 | Speaker 1:

Do you feel his presence today? Because honestly, for some reason, when I read your letter, I felt the presence of him telling us to pick this letter for you guys.

01:59:16 - 01:59:19 | Speaker 4:

No, he's here. He keeps looking at my bathroom light.

01:59:19 - 01:59:20 | Speaker 1:

Oh, no way.

01:59:20 - 01:59:22 | Speaker 2:

That's amazing. Oh, gosh.

01:59:22 - 01:59:23 | Speaker 4:

He does it at his present house, too.

01:59:24 - 01:59:24 | Speaker 1:

Wow.

01:59:25 - 01:59:25 | Speaker 4:

That's crazy.

01:59:26 - 01:59:54 | Speaker 1:

We know most importantly out of anything that you're going to need right now is you're going to need a little financial help. So we're going to make sure that we do that by giving you hundreds of dollars in gas cards so that you don't have to worry about the struggle of paying high gas prices. And we also want to write you a check to help with your bills. I hope this will work, but we're going to give you a check for $3,000 to kind of get you through these next weeks here.

02:00:00 - 02:00:21 | Speaker 2:

plus last but not least mike will you tell uh misty when the weather all turns what we're going to do for her and and jason and uh mia so we know everybody needs my name is mike

02:00:21 - 02:00:38 | Speaker 4:

yeah yeah so we know that every now and then you know you got to keep up with the bills and you got to take care of what you got to take care of. I fully understand that, but you also need to get away. You need to enjoy yourself. So we're going to get you a trip to Cedar Point. Yeah. Take the

02:00:38 - 02:00:50 | Speaker 2:

family. Enjoy yourself. Yeah. We want to make sure that you get, can spend the time with your kids away from all the jobs that you have. Right, doc? Doc is giving you time off. Right, doc?

02:00:52 - 02:00:57 | Speaker 4:

She gave her a thumbs up. Good, good. We have 3 million witnesses to that.

02:00:57 - 02:01:07 | Speaker 3:

And not just a day trip. You're spending the night where you're taking care of everything from the parking to the food to the hotel. So it's going to be a really fun experience for your family.

02:01:09 - 02:01:11 | Speaker 6:

I never had to do any family vacation.

02:01:11 - 02:01:13 | Speaker 2:

Well, you're going to take one.

02:01:14 - 02:01:18 | Speaker 4:

Misty, you deserve to have a time away. You deserve to have a Christmas.

02:01:20 - 02:01:25 | Speaker 2:

Merry Christmas to you. Merry Christmas, Mia and Jace.

02:01:25 - 02:01:28 | Speaker 6:

She's at school already. She's going to be so mad.

02:01:30 - 02:01:37 | Speaker 2:

And Merry Christmas to everybody that you work with and love you so much at Trinity Chelsea Primary Care.

02:01:39 - 02:01:39 | Speaker 4:

Okay.

02:01:40 - 02:01:41 | Speaker 2:

Mike, can we get a big Merry Christmas?

02:01:43 - 02:01:52 | Speaker 4:

All right. On the count of three, I need the biggest Merry Christmas we can give, okay? I want the whole neighborhood to hear this. You guys ready? One, two, three.

02:01:53 - 02:01:54 | Unknown:

Merry Christmas!

02:01:54 - 02:02:04 | Speaker 1:

Oh, my God, are you here? You want to know what I'm getting for Christmas? Fat. I'm getting fat. Merry Christmas from Mojo in the Morning.

02:02:05 - 02:03:59 | Speaker 5:

Rockin' around the Christmas tree at the Christmas party hop. Mistletoe home where you can't see every couple tries to stop. Rockin' around the Christmas tree. Let the Christmas spirit ring. Later we'll have some pumpkin pie And we'll do some caroling You will get a sentimental feeling When you hear voices singing Let's be jolly dead The halls with the halls of party Rocking around the Christmas tree Have a happy holiday Everyone dancing merrily in the new old-fashioned way You will get a sentimental feeling When you hear voices singing Let's be darling Dance the halls with vows of holly Rockin' around the Christmas tree Have a happy holiday Everyone dancing merrily in the news Mojo in the Morning Show.

02:04:00 - 02:04:05 | Speaker 2:

Shannon, I know you're very excited about this.

02:04:05 - 02:04:35 | Speaker 3:

I'm so stupid. I get it. Do you want me to say one? Yeah, go ahead. Tell everybody what you're saying. So I posted this meme or something from this account I follow on Instagram. It's called 1990s Kids Only. And it was like a meme or whatever you call it. I don't even know. But it said, it's family game night in the 90s. Which board game are you picking? And there were photos of Dream Phone, Don't Wake Daddy. You remember all these. Mousetrap, Guess Who, Life, Trouble, Sorry. And my favorite game ever, Mall Madness. Mall Madness.

02:04:35 - 02:04:49 | Speaker 1:

She doesn't say Mall Madness. Mall Madness. I'm going to lose it. I'm going to lose it. It's Mall Madness. The shop door you drop game that really talks. fail at the fashion boutique all the fun of a shopping spree with mall madness you get it all

02:04:49 - 02:05:00 | Speaker 3:

so i wrote over the thing mall madness happy like that's what i'm choosing and then one of our fabulous listeners informed me

02:05:00 - 02:05:01 | Speaker 4:

that they brought it back.

02:05:01 - 02:05:02 | Speaker 1:

Wait, what?

02:05:02 - 02:05:22 | Speaker 4:

You can buy a current version of Mall Madness. Wow. What? You guys, it was like she made my whole damn day. I mean, that's sad, but it's true. Yes, you can. What's the current version like? I don't know. I haven't bought it yet. Target, Walmart. Everybody sells it. I was so excited.

02:05:22 - 02:05:42 | Speaker 5:

My daughter asked for Christmas for all these old classic board games, and she's a gamer. She's got her Nintendo Switch. She plays on multiple platforms and her PC. I was so excited to hear her ask for, like, an old-fashioned board game, something that doesn't even take batteries, you know? I was like, oh, this is... And, of course, they look as vintage and retro, which works my feelings.

02:05:42 - 02:05:47 | Speaker 6:

It's wild because in my house, the only board games they want to play are the ones that have, like, the dirty words.

02:05:47 - 02:06:06 | Speaker 4:

Right, yeah, yeah. We do board games a ton in our house just because I like spending that time with the kids versus, please, God, I can't do LOL dolls or Barbies with them. So Board Games is a really good quality time spender. And they just got Guess Who? The new version of Guess Who. It sucks.

02:06:06 - 02:06:07 | Speaker 7:

Oh, really?

02:06:07 - 02:06:24 | Speaker 4:

All the people look different. Good. They cheaped it out. They made, no, they made, remember how you used to be able to take those boards and flip it back and all of the little faces would flip up? Yeah. Do you know what I'm talking about? Yeah. You can't do that anymore. That's bad. They stick. You got to put each one up individually.

02:06:24 - 02:06:31 | Speaker 3:

But there was nothing worse than getting, like, a dude, and then all of a sudden you're like, is it a boy? And five-eighths of the thing just, like, fell down.

02:06:31 - 02:06:34 | Speaker 7:

You're like, oh, okay, cool, love this, love this.

02:06:34 - 02:06:47 | Speaker 6:

It's wild, because I feel like with the news being so negative in this world and everything bad, we need nostalgia back, you know? We need to be able to have a little piece of that. Debbie, what's up? It's Mojo in the morning.

02:06:48 - 02:06:49 | Speaker 2:

Hi, Mojo. How you doing?

02:06:49 - 02:06:50 | Speaker 6:

Good. What's going on?

02:06:51 - 02:07:03 | Speaker 2:

So one year for a Christmas gathering, my daughter and my nephew, they bought the game Guess Who? But instead of using the people that were already on there, they cut out pictures of our actual family members.

02:07:04 - 02:07:06 | Speaker 7:

Oh, what a good idea. Oh, it is a great idea.

02:07:06 - 02:07:13 | Speaker 2:

Oh, my gosh. It was hilarious. That's so good. These were pictures of when they were babies, when they were older. So it was a really fun thing for them to do.

02:07:14 - 02:07:16 | Speaker 6:

That's cool. Good idea. What's up, Heather?

02:07:17 - 02:07:18 | Speaker 1:

Hi.

02:07:18 - 02:07:19 | Speaker 6:

Hey, what's up?

02:07:19 - 02:07:25 | Speaker 1:

Yeah, I was telling you about I have the original Mom Madness and Dream Phone. No.

02:07:25 - 02:07:29 | Speaker 6:

The Dream Phone? Yep, yep.

02:07:29 - 02:07:34 | Speaker 1:

And, I mean, I played it, like, a couple years ago or something, so it all still works.

02:07:35 - 02:07:41 | Speaker 4:

We were talking. Some of those boys were not cute. Sorry. No, they weren't. Like, I didn't want those ones.

02:07:41 - 02:08:41 | Speaker 6:

We were talking about how the kids don't get the toys that we had when we were kids. and we were looking through old pictures. My sister Pat has been going through because she's moving and so she needs to get rid of every photo. She kept all my photos from when I was a kid and stuff. It's so bad. I feel bad that she's got them taking up space in her place but she was sending individual pictures to my kids of me opening presents on Christmas morning and all my kids could talk about was the horrible haircut that I had And why would you ever ask for that from Santa Claus? And so one of them was a Mr. Microphone. Oh, yeah. I loved him. Mr. Microphone was a microphone that connected to your car's radio or your home stereo or whatever that you had there. And you could actually talk on the microphone. And they were like, oh, great. My dad would probably want that nowadays. And then the other one was I had the green machine.

02:08:41 - 02:08:42 | Speaker 4:

What's that?

02:08:42 - 02:08:46 | Speaker 6:

The green machine was like a big wheel. Yeah. But it was, I don't know if it was Hulk Hogan.

02:08:46 - 02:08:53 | Speaker 5:

I think it was like an Incredible Hulk knockoff, but the tires were fatter and chunkier, and it steered differently.

02:08:53 - 02:09:09 | Speaker 6:

And the problem was, even with those fatter, chunkier tires, my little fat frame sat on it, and my sons go, Dad, get off before it pops. Because it was plastic, and the wheels looked like they were pushed and smushed a little bit.

02:09:09 - 02:09:14 | Speaker 5:

Yeah, because the back tires were really – like the big wheel in the front was the big wheel.

02:09:14 - 02:09:14 | Speaker 7:

I had a big wheel, I remember.

02:09:14 - 02:09:24 | Speaker 5:

But the green machine had two little tiny wheels in the back right under the seat. So, you know, the bigger kids, the seat would drag on the pavement.

02:09:24 - 02:09:40 | Speaker 6:

Do you know that my first bicycle was a big, like I couldn't get a BMX little kid's bike. I had to get like a man's like 10 speed. Because I was too heavy for that. Yeah, that's what I was. It was bad.

02:09:41 - 02:09:52 | Speaker 4:

Oh, and by the way, so somebody just texted and said, Target today has a 25% off coupon for board games and Mall Menace. It's $16.99. Oh, my God. You're welcome.

02:09:52 - 02:09:55 | Speaker 6:

That's great. Here we are telling you. We need a toy store instead of Target. Now we're all going to Target.

02:09:55 - 02:09:56 | Speaker 4:

I'm just reading the text.

02:09:57 - 02:09:59 | Speaker 6:

No, I get it. My big thing, because I was.

02:10:00 - 02:10:03 | Speaker 5:

a nerdy, artsy, creative kid, but was always Light Bright. Do you remember? My dad

02:10:03 - 02:10:07 | Speaker 2:

still has my original Light Bright from when I was little. The kids love it.

02:10:07 - 02:10:14 | Speaker 4:

Yeah, we just got one for Seth. She absolutely loves it. Actually, I find myself playing with it too. Those are so cool. You know who else loves it? Your vacuum cleaner.

02:10:15 - 02:10:18 | Speaker 5:

They're everywhere. Do you ever have

02:10:18 - 02:10:34 | Speaker 1:

anything from your childhood that you're not sure if you made up yet or not? Because I've tried Googling this, and I swear to God I had one when I was little. It was called Apika, maybe? But it would have these books that you would put into it, and you would plug it into your television and nobody ever knows what i'm talking about and i don't know the mandela

02:10:34 - 02:10:43 | Speaker 5:

effect like you see your head no i remember some i don't remember the name pika but i do remember that what you're talking about it plugging the books into the tv i don't remember what it's

02:10:43 - 02:10:49 | Speaker 1:

called i had like a pet i had i swear to god there was a lion king one i don't know i don't

02:10:49 - 02:11:03 | Speaker 4:

know scott mick just made that up and put on a movie Shannon you were at

02:11:03 - 02:11:14 | Speaker 3:

My very very favorite people's Original location You were at Lucido Fine Jewelry Yesterday doing a Little photo promotional Shoot for those guys

02:11:38 - 02:11:43 | Speaker 3:

Joe just celebrated a big birthday. He just celebrated his 60th birthday.

02:11:43 - 02:11:44 | Speaker 2:

Dude, Joe looks great.

02:11:44 - 02:12:06 | Speaker 3:

I went out to lunch with Fran and Vince and Joe, and Joe's like, yeah, I got a big birthday coming up, and then Fran's like, he's going to be 60. I'm like, there's no way. First off, the guy doesn't have a gray hair on his head, or beard, or anywhere. He's got to be just massively dying the hell out of it, because there is no way that a 60-year-old- I don't think he does. He says he doesn't.

02:12:06 - 02:12:07 | Speaker 2:

I don't think he does.

02:12:07 - 02:12:23 | Speaker 3:

No, he had me talk to someone. He was like, here's my hairstylist. Yeah, right. Your hairstylist is going to tell Mojo that you don't dye your hair. But the guy's got it's unbelievable. It's like the greatest gift ever. He has no gray hair. He's like real dark black, you know, Italian hair.

02:12:24 - 02:12:24 | Speaker 2:

Italian hair.

02:12:24 - 02:12:25 | Speaker 3:

So, yeah.

02:12:25 - 02:13:16 | Speaker 2:

Well, you want to hear what I don't know that I'll ever be invited back to do this 12 days of gifting. So the shoot yesterday was long. It was a couple of hours long. We shot 14 different videos. And so I always like to have like a different outfit. I switch outfits every couple of videos, you know, so all afternoon I'm changing. And so Fran Lucido, Joe's sister, put me in one of the rooms in the back of the store. It's a big, big store. Lucido in Sterling Heights is a humongous store if you've never been there. So they put me in a room in the back so that I could spread out all of my stuff and have some space to, you know, get dressed, do my hair and makeup and change in between videos. Well, I thought that this little window that was in the room that looked out into the showroom was like a one-way window. Okay? Because that's what it used to be. It used to be.

02:13:16 - 02:13:18 | Speaker 3:

Yeah, like the back. I've seen that before.

02:13:18 - 02:13:20 | Speaker 2:

In the back room that you could see out.

02:13:20 - 02:13:25 | Speaker 3:

It was their way to see if somebody comes in, like a customer comes in so they know, okay, you've got to run to the front. Right.

02:13:26 - 02:13:42 | Speaker 2:

So it always used to be you could see out but nobody could see in. Well, apparently they changed it. And nobody told me. And so everybody who was in the store yesterday from about 1130 until 3 o'clock could see right into the room where I was changing.

02:13:42 - 02:13:43 | Speaker 3:

Boobs.

02:13:43 - 02:13:56 | Speaker 2:

But nobody came in and told you? Well, somebody finally came in and said to me. Actually, it was Joe. Came in and said, just so you know, the glass doesn't want to wait anymore. You got to go in the corner and you're going to change.

02:13:56 - 02:13:59 | Speaker 3:

How long did Joe wait before he came in there to tell you that pervert?

02:13:59 - 02:14:22 | Speaker 2:

I didn't see anything, but I think someone said to him, and he was just standing. He happened to be in the hallway as I walked out. But I was so flipping embarrassed, you guys, because it wasn't pretty. Yeah, well. You know. Have you ever seen a girl try to get into a pair of jeans that are freshly washed? Not pretty. You have to jump up and down like 10 times to get your butt to get in those jeans. I was mortified.

02:14:22 - 02:14:47 | Speaker 3:

um i uh i will tell you that uh i feel this way anytime that i go to macy's or nordstrom's uh or you know you go into the the dressing room area and you walk in and they have that door that has the slits in it you know like it's oh yeah closed door and then there's like slits in it at this door and i always feel like you can always see fat guy nipple through the thing

02:14:47 - 02:14:48 | Speaker 2:

Through the slits?

02:14:48 - 02:14:49 | Speaker 3:

Yeah, through the slits.

02:14:49 - 02:14:55 | Speaker 2:

Well, I have to tell you, I can remember being little and being like a creep and going and like peeking up the slits to see what you could see.

02:14:56 - 02:14:59 | Speaker 3:

Little kids. Curtains are the worst, too, if they have them in like changing areas.

02:14:59 - 02:15:00 | Speaker 2:

Curtains are the worst, because you know why? They never.

02:15:00 - 02:15:04 | Speaker 3:

her clothes all the way they there's always like somebody three or four inches that are just

02:15:04 - 02:15:27 | Speaker 2:

you can't yank that thing and you're right it's always some little child that is gonna gonna see and go mom there's a man i see boobs there's a man with uh boobs there's a man with a mangina changing anything it's the worst that that's the the absolute worst um

02:15:27 - 02:15:29 | Speaker 3:

Yeah, it was really awesome.

02:15:29 - 02:15:44 | Speaker 2:

I feel bad for when my kids were younger, and they would run into the room and see their dad naked in the bathroom. Like, they would just come rocking in, you know, from time to time. And Chelsea would always say, why don't you lock the door? I'm like, well, I don't lock the door because you've got to use the bathroom.

02:15:44 - 02:15:45 | Speaker 3:

I don't have locks on my doors.

02:15:46 - 02:15:47 | Speaker 2:

Oh, really? Mm-mm.

02:15:47 - 02:15:48 | Speaker 3:

So it's just a free-for-all.

02:15:49 - 02:15:50 | Speaker 2:

See mom changing or doing stuff in there.

02:15:50 - 02:15:52 | Speaker 3:

Lots of questions lately from Smith, yeah.

02:15:53 - 02:15:59 | Speaker 2:

Yeah. There's nothing worse than that. By the way, is that going to be part of their holiday contest? Will that be?

02:15:59 - 02:16:01 | Speaker 3:

I don't know how that would be, but no.

02:16:02 - 02:16:53 | Speaker 2:

I'm wearing a picture of it. Who is the strangest person that saw your naked body? Who saw your naked body that should not have seen your naked body? I always feel bad whenever you see somebody that slips and falls and they're wearing a skirt or something like that. Oh, my God. This is funny. Google this. I don't know if it will be on there. the mom thong at her kids school did you see that? I saw that on TikTok the other day mom thong at school I think it might be on there so the mom was running and when she ran she hit bottoms up I think I saw it on so a mom and a thong and she's running in a race and she fell down and all the kids are there and it was like here's the

02:16:53 - 02:16:55 | Speaker 3:

She basically mooned all the kids.

02:16:56 - 02:16:56 | Speaker 2:

Oh, no.

02:16:57 - 02:16:57 | Speaker 3:

Yeah.

02:16:57 - 02:16:58 | Unknown:

Oh, no.

02:16:58 - 02:17:01 | Speaker 1:

Oh, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no.

02:17:01 - 02:17:24 | Speaker 2:

And she basically, what did they call it? They called it that she, they said, Mom and Thong unintentionally moons students. And they said that she went upside down, and it was basically like the letter T that goes up in the air as she basically shows everybody. Oh, I love it. Uh, what's up, Jen?

02:17:25 - 02:17:38 | Speaker 4:

Guys, okay, have you ever been in, like, the public bathrooms, and you're sitting down on the toilet, and there's, like, that two-inch gap in between, like, the door and the wall? Yes! Yes! And then, like, yes, and then you feel, like, the bottom of the stall door comes up, like, three feet.

02:17:39 - 02:17:43 | Speaker 3:

Yeah, it's especially bad if you're wearing a bodysuit, because you're totally naked sitting on that toilet.

02:17:44 - 02:17:50 | Speaker 4:

Either that or, like, you're doing, like, a number two, and then, you know, the whole thing stinks, and then everyone's, like, looking in between the cracks. You can see them looking.

02:17:51 - 02:17:58 | Speaker 2:

Wait, so they're actually, you do a number two. and it's a stinky one and you're saying that people will look extra to see who it was that

02:17:58 - 02:18:01 | Speaker 4:

laid that one down i cannot be the only one that's had that happen

02:18:01 - 02:18:19 | Speaker 2:

like who's doing that that's funny that's the worst that is bad that is awful that that happens to you no privacy why don't they not make it you know they make these bathrooms like so different these days why don't they make these bathroom doors and stuff so that they don't have

02:18:19 - 02:18:25 | Speaker 1:

that crack you know yeah well they can't get too snug because those things shift people hang on

02:18:25 - 02:18:35 | Speaker 4:

them they over time now it's weird that other countries don't seem to have that problem do wait do other countries have different bathrooms yeah don't have gaps in their doors really i've

02:18:35 - 02:18:47 | Speaker 1:

never been to other countries i've never noticed that distinction i'm gonna listen but also maybe it's also a you know it's to keep people honest from all the graffiti and the damage and you know People are idiots, and they can't have nice things.

02:18:47 - 02:18:51 | Speaker 4:

I don't know. I don't want to be spied on while I'm doing that, but I feel like I am every single time.

02:18:51 - 02:19:10 | Speaker 2:

Jen, I feel like this happens to me at the airport. I don't know if you ever fly out of Detroit's airport, the Detroit Metro Airport, and you'll have to go to the bathroom, and you're in there, and there's always people waiting to use the toilet stalls. And I'm like, if I'm going to take a do's, I got to do it in that airport. I can't go on a plane and go use the bathroom.

02:19:10 - 02:19:12 | Speaker 3:

I know, but I don't like that.

02:19:12 - 02:19:19 | Speaker 4:

There's no gaps there? God forbid you're one of them people who has to drop it naked. Some people get completely naked to do that.

02:19:19 - 02:19:24 | Speaker 2:

There's no gaps there, but the lock never locks. And so I have to stick my foot up on the door to hold that door.

02:19:24 - 02:19:28 | Speaker 3:

And also, you're always busted there. Because as soon as you walk out, someone's walking right in.

02:19:28 - 02:19:28 | Speaker 2:

Right.

02:19:29 - 02:19:33 | Speaker 3:

Because there's always a line. There's no pretending that it wasn't you who made that smell.

02:19:33 - 02:19:38 | Speaker 2:

And you can't completely flush it down, even though they got the industrial flush.

02:19:38 - 02:19:39 | Speaker 3:

You do.

02:19:40 - 02:19:42 | Speaker 2:

Jen, thank you. What's up, Juliana?

02:19:43 - 02:19:43 | Speaker 3:

I'm sorry.

02:19:43 - 02:19:45 | Speaker 2:

What did you say? Wait, what did you just say?

02:19:46 - 02:19:47 | Speaker 3:

No, I thought you were ending the topic.

02:19:47 - 02:19:48 | Speaker 2:

Oh, you want me to end the topic?

02:19:48 - 02:19:49 | Speaker 3:

No, no, no. Sorry.

02:19:49 - 02:19:53 | Speaker 2:

Julianne, I'm sorry. I'm going to take one more call here. Okay. It's you. Hi.

02:19:54 - 02:19:59 | Speaker 4:

Oh, hello. So I used to work at a dollar store, and I was behind the register one time just cleaning up.

02:20:00 - 02:20:19 | Speaker 1:

There was a mom and a son Right next to the register And I had dropped something And bent over to pick it up And my pants ripped And this little boy Seen my bare butt And I was so mortified It was so embarrassing I couldn't believe that my pants were that tight That they ripped

02:20:19 - 02:20:23 | Speaker 5:

Where did they rip? Did they rip right by the butthole? Really?

02:20:23 - 02:20:27 | Speaker 1:

Oh, they seen everything They seen my butt front

02:20:27 - 02:20:32 | Speaker 5:

Wow, that kid just got a lesson. What kind of lesson?

02:20:36 - 02:20:47 | Speaker 3:

Oversaying thanks for the laughs. Spike prefers you to show him appreciation with $10,000 in unmarked bills or Bitcoin. Another world-famous phone scam happens at 9.50 on Mojo in the Morning.

02:20:49 - 02:20:51 | Speaker 1:

Now back to Mojo in the Morning.

02:20:51 - 02:20:52 | Speaker 3:

Back to Mojo in the Morning.

02:20:54 - 02:21:27 | Speaker 5:

All right, it's Mojo in the Morning Show. I find it always so cute at this time of the year. Now that my kids are grown and they're not at the age where I get to have the fun of Santa Claus coming to my house. But I always find it fun living vicariously through, you know, Shannon's, you know, adventures with Lucy and Smith and Mike's with Cecily and Milo. And how is the magic been for the season right now? Has it been fun for all of you guys?

02:21:27 - 02:21:28 | Speaker 2:

It's been so fun.

02:21:28 - 02:21:33 | Speaker 5:

Yeah, it's been good. You guys, Elf on the Shelf is still not driving you guys nuts.

02:21:33 - 02:21:39 | Speaker 2:

We set up a snowball fight this morning. Oh, that's cool. Our elf did. Nice.

02:21:39 - 02:21:48 | Speaker 5:

Mike, you were tucked in a hotel because you'd been doing Breaking Night and Christmas Wish last night. Did you find out what the elf did for Milo and Cecily?

02:21:48 - 02:21:54 | Speaker 4:

So, day one of Elf on the Shelf, there's one rule with the elf on the shelf, right?

02:21:54 - 02:21:57 | Speaker 2:

Because your elf is brand new. This is the first year the elf has visited your house.

02:21:57 - 02:22:01 | Speaker 4:

Yes. I think the only rule is you can't touch the elf. Correct.

02:22:01 - 02:22:03 | Speaker 2:

Or he or she loses its magic.

02:22:04 - 02:22:20 | Speaker 4:

So my daughter decided, because the elf was in a pile of candy, my daughter decided to take pieces of that candy and pick up the elf and move the elf. So she hasn't technically, like remember the game Plinko, where you'd move the little stick? Yeah, yeah.

02:22:20 - 02:22:26 | Speaker 5:

That's what it was like. She would move a little piece of candy and it would move. Or Operation was another one I played too Where you had the little tweezers

02:22:26 - 02:22:30 | Speaker 2:

I would still say that's touching the elf She cannot be moved

02:22:30 - 02:22:33 | Speaker 5:

The magic is gone is that what you're saying

02:22:33 - 02:22:35 | Speaker 2:

The magic is gone you have to write a letter to Santa Claus

02:22:35 - 02:22:44 | Speaker 4:

I think I think there was Actually I know for a fact the elf is up high Today and there was a letter Written and yeah

02:22:44 - 02:22:49 | Speaker 5:

Speaking of the magic gone you know what you gotta do You gotta tell that story about how Cecily wants to Oh yeah

02:22:49 - 02:23:30 | Speaker 4:

She wants to So it was last year We caught Santa on The nest cam walking out of the house And it was a very Cool moment Where Cecily got to see Because Santa wasn't looking at the camera or anything But she got to see Santa kind of walk out It was like a Santa spotting And I was like oh that's so cool She's going to remember that forever You know what I mean it's going to keep the magic going forever And Then fast forward to this year Now she wants to take those nest cams And set them around the Christmas tree So that she can catch Santa Claus In the act delivering presents

02:23:30 - 02:23:32 | Speaker 2:

I love this

02:23:32 - 02:23:33 | Speaker 4:

I do not

02:23:33 - 02:23:36 | Speaker 2:

Did she watch the Christmas Chronicles? Because that's what that movie is all about

02:23:36 - 02:23:39 | Speaker 4:

On Netflix No, no, I don't think so Yeah

02:23:39 - 02:23:41 | Speaker 2:

And they do

02:23:41 - 02:23:42 | Speaker 4:

They do catch They do catch

02:23:42 - 02:24:20 | Speaker 5:

My brother got yelled at by Santa Claus For staying This is before the technology of nests and ring cams for staying up one night and hiding behind the couch and ended up having a lot of Santa swear words, I guess, told to him. I told him to get, you little son of a bitch, get back to bed. Get back to bed. I can't believe Santa would speak like that. And then he got Christmas ruined for him by doing that. So Cecily has to be very, very careful of what she does with wanting to see Santa Claus.

02:24:20 - 02:24:37 | Speaker 4:

Well, that's, yeah, that's the thing here is, A, I feel like we can't keep doing this every year. We can't keep setting up cameras to catch Santa, but I feel like we have to, this has to be stopped, right? Like, I have to figure out a way to convince her that this is a bad idea.

02:24:37 - 02:24:43 | Speaker 5:

Well, I think you need to do the whole thing like what Shannon said, where, you know, touching the elf with the-

02:24:43 - 02:24:45 | Speaker 2:

Any kind of touching. The thing is not good. She needs to stay put.

02:24:45 - 02:24:58 | Speaker 5:

Any type of camera spotting or staying up late gets you into trouble and then use the words that my Santa Claus used, you little son of a bitch.

02:25:00 - 02:25:07 | Speaker 6:

and see how that pulls off. Did anybody get in trouble from Santa Claus for trying to capture Santa?

02:25:08 - 02:25:19 | Speaker 5:

I used to set up a trap when I was a kid. I'd put dental floss across the fireplace and try and see if he would trip the wire. Never did. He was always on to me.

02:25:19 - 02:25:34 | Speaker 6:

You know what our house is bad? My dad would turn that fireplace on and leave it on always in the wintertime. He was too cheap to run the heat in our house. And I used to always say, Dad, you're going to burn Santa Claus You know what I mean? Because the thing would be burning and smoldering And I'd get worried about that

02:25:34 - 02:25:40 | Speaker 5:

They would always say, Santa has a special suit My dad would say, don't worry His suit is fire retard

02:25:40 - 02:26:04 | Speaker 6:

Well, can you get that suit for the fire guys? The firemen from our local fire department for that? I blame you You creative parents I blame the creative parents Overzealous Who are creatively doing fun little things like Mike, you know, you and Allie did with setting up the camera last year so that you can kind of, oh, look, cute. I got something to post on Instagram. Now it comes back and bites you in the ass, doesn't it?

02:26:04 - 02:26:11 | Speaker 4:

It does. It does. It does. It does. Yeah. I think it was a good way to keep the magic.

02:26:12 - 02:26:13 | Speaker 6:

Yeah. But now.

02:26:13 - 02:26:14 | Speaker 4:

But now.

02:26:14 - 02:26:20 | Speaker 6:

One step further. Now you've got CSI, you know, Law and Order SVU.

02:26:20 - 02:26:24 | Speaker 4:

You got a detective on your hands. I know, looking for loopholes and ways she can move the elf.

02:26:25 - 02:26:25 | Speaker 2:

Yes.

02:26:25 - 02:26:26 | Speaker 4:

Pamela, what's happening?

02:26:27 - 02:27:05 | Speaker 2:

Okay. Well, see, and I was before, you know, we had video and I spy and all that stuff like we have now, too. But I stayed visual all night long, you know, and I would stay in the living room. And so there was no other way. And where I slept, I placed myself so Santa couldn't get near the Christmas tree without waking me up. But I'm a really light sleeper, so I was staying up all night long. Wow. Well, Santa that night, and I was, I could outlast everybody, and I stayed up all night long waiting for Santa. Santa outdid all of us, and Santa delivered all of our presents, my brothers, mine, my sisters, everybody, in the bathroom that night.

02:27:06 - 02:27:08 | Speaker 6:

The bathroom was the new spot.

02:27:09 - 02:27:17 | Speaker 2:

The bathroom was the new spot. So imagine my surprise when I went into the bathroom to go to the bathroom, and oh, my God, Santa had come. He outsmarted me.

02:27:17 - 02:27:22 | Speaker 6:

Thank God for that smart Santa Claus. What a great idea for anybody listening. Edwin, what's happening?

02:27:22 - 02:27:24 | Speaker 3:

What's going on, Mojo? I love you guys.

02:27:24 - 02:27:25 | Speaker 6:

We love you too, buddy.

02:27:26 - 02:27:45 | Speaker 3:

So I didn't try to catch Santa. I tried to catch a reindeer, actually. So what I did was the night before Christmas, I threw a carrot on top of the roof to see if Rudolph would eat it. It ended up snowing that night, so the carrot was gone. So I was convinced that Rudolph came and ate it.

02:27:46 - 02:27:53 | Speaker 6:

Man, that's a very good. Good parent or somebody. What are you talking about?

02:27:53 - 02:27:56 | Speaker 5:

Reindeer ate it, Mojo. Oh, yes.

02:27:56 - 02:28:00 | Speaker 2:

But you were also really smart for doing that to see.

02:28:00 - 02:28:02 | Speaker 6:

What do you do for a living nowadays?

02:28:03 - 02:28:05 | Speaker 3:

I'm a CNC operator.

02:28:05 - 02:28:06 | Speaker 6:

What is that?

02:28:07 - 02:28:15 | Speaker 3:

I basically program a machine to cut metal dyes for whatever part that we're making. So smart.

02:28:15 - 02:28:17 | Speaker 6:

Yeah. I thought you'd be like a chemist or something like that.

02:28:17 - 02:28:25 | Speaker 5:

somewhere there was a dad cursing three years later when the gutter was blocked by a rotten carrot

02:28:25 - 02:28:32 | Speaker 6:

what's going on Spencer hey how's it going good what's happening

02:28:32 - 02:28:52 | Speaker 7:

I just wanted to say Mike you just need to write a letter and have the unfolding it the next morning here basically telling her that I reported back to Santa this letter is from him He wants you to not put up any cameras because it'll ruin your magic if he's spotted. Great idea.

02:28:52 - 02:28:58 | Speaker 6:

Very smart. Mike, write this down. Get it going. Rob?

02:28:59 - 02:29:00 | Speaker 1:

Hey, how you doing?

02:29:01 - 02:29:02 | Speaker 6:

Good. What's going on, Rob?

02:29:03 - 02:29:15 | Speaker 1:

I just have Mike put the cameras up and let Cecily do it. And then when they're putting the presents around or whatever, the cameras mysteriously go out because the magic of Santa comes. and you can't cap them on. That's another great idea.

02:29:15 - 02:29:18 | Speaker 7:

Great idea too, yeah. Video. Yep.

02:29:18 - 02:29:30 | Speaker 6:

Yeah. Or you really want to screw with your kids and have them never want you to ever use a video camera ever again. Video of mom and dad doing some fun stuff.

02:29:31 - 02:29:33 | Speaker 5:

What's wrong with you? Scarring for life. Scarring for life.

02:29:34 - 02:29:59 | Speaker 6:

Oh, my God. Santa Claus is, that's what you got. Santa and Mrs. Claus hanging out, Mike. Do you guys ever dress up, by the way, Santa and Mrs. Claus? We haven't yet, no. You can just try that. You sound like you've tried it. Chelsea and I have done that before. Have you? Yeah. I'm the best Mrs. Claus that ever has been around. Chelsea's Santa Claus, by the way. I'm the Mrs. Claus in that thing.

02:30:00 - 02:30:01 | Speaker 1:

Show over with you.

02:30:05 - 02:30:09 | Speaker 2:

Tis the season for some Mojo. Fa-la-la-la-la.

02:30:09 - 02:30:48 | Speaker 1:

La-la-la-la. This is Mojo in the Morning. All right, Mojo in the Morning. Time now for Taylor Swiftmas. Giving you a chance to win Taylor Swift tickets. It's going to be at Ford Field in June. Text Taylor, T-A-Y-L-O-R, to 95500 for a shot to win. You could be going to see Taylor Swift from Mojo in the Morning. This is funny. Do I have to call it that? Spike, you went out for breakfast, and you were just trying to enjoy a nice meal. And what did you come across?

02:30:48 - 02:31:40 | Speaker 2:

Well, you know, sometimes a restaurant will give a dish just a downright silly name. And this weekend I went to like a Coney-style breakfast joint in Port Huron. I found myself wanting to order the yummy, scrummy, fluffy pancakes. I just felt weird saying it, so I just asked for the apple cinnamon pancakes. The waitress was like, which ones? So I pointed to the menu, and she's like, the oatmeal? I'm like, no, the pancakes. And I'm pointing. And then I realized, she's trying to make me say it. So I had to order the yummy, scrummy, fluffy pancakes. And I was like, you know what? I'm bringing this up on the air because some restaurants are just too eager to be clever and show off their creative genius and they're so witty. And so menus go overboard with naming dishes or naming drinks and entrees or little puns or pop culture references. And I'm like, do I have to use the exact menu name?

02:31:41 - 02:31:52 | Speaker 1:

Did you ever go to IHOP and order the Rudy Tootie Fresh and Fruity? When I was in high school. Or the Moon Over My Hammy. Was that IHOP or Denny's? That was Denny's.

02:31:52 - 02:32:17 | Speaker 2:

Yeah. Now, listen, in high school, I would name it. i was fine with that but i mean i'm not as bad as some of my friends who refuse to even order starbucks drinks by their size because they don't like grande and venti and like they're like it's a small i'm like if you say small starbucks doesn't care they'll give you a small they're not going to put up a fight this waitress was trying to make me say yummy yummy fluffy pancakes

02:32:17 - 02:32:24 | Speaker 1:

okay i'm just i always like when bars do that like you said with drinks yeah you go to a bar

02:32:24 - 02:32:36 | Speaker 2:

It's a really dirty name or something. I'm looking at it and I'm going, I really would like to try. This happened to me. I really would like to try the Shirley Shirley, but I'm just going to order a beer.

02:32:36 - 02:32:51 | Speaker 1:

We went to Atlanta. Every year we would go for Norm's party. And Johnny Dare one time wanted to just get, all he wanted was Jameson and a beer, which is what he drinks all the time.

02:32:51 - 02:32:52 | Speaker 2:

Gentleman's drink.

02:32:52 - 02:33:03 | Speaker 1:

Yeah. Yeah, and the girl goes, I don't know. She didn't know because they had, it was, I think it might have been a Shannon pick of a place that we went to.

02:33:03 - 02:33:04 | Speaker 2:

It's like a more fufu place.

02:33:04 - 02:33:15 | Speaker 1:

Like, I think we went to a bar or something that Shannon's like, this place is going to be fun. And we walked inside and Johnny's like, there's nobody here with long hair and tattoos. You know? And the person.

02:33:15 - 02:33:35 | Speaker 2:

The bars he takes us do smell like bleach and the floors haven't been cleaned in 27 years. Well, and Johnny and I, like, it's an Irish gentleman's drink. You get a shot of Jameson, and then you follow it up with your nice dark Guinness or whatever. But a lot of people want to make a Boilermaker or some fancy drink where you drop the shot in the beer, and you're doing it. I'm like, no, no, no.

02:33:35 - 02:33:54 | Speaker 1:

The girl came out with a fancy glass. It was literally, and Johnny goes, no, I don't need the glass. And she goes, I'm sorry, but we serve it in the glass. She goes, they basically, and he's like, I don't want the fancy glass. He kept calling it the fancy glass. I don't want the fancy glass.

02:33:54 - 02:33:55 | Speaker 2:

Right. The shot glass.

02:33:56 - 02:34:07 | Speaker 1:

844 Mojo Live, 844-665-6548. If you're somebody that works in a restaurant, you have to call us up and tell us, does the owner of the restaurant make the names of these things just so he can laugh at the people that are pronouncing these?

02:34:08 - 02:34:18 | Speaker 2:

Like, do they come? Some of them get so gimmicky. Some restaurants I go in, I'm like, where, are we at a children's birthday party? I can't order these things. Yeah. I just want to drink.

02:34:18 - 02:34:22 | Speaker 1:

That's the funny thing is that you're at a Coney. You know what I mean?

02:34:22 - 02:34:45 | Speaker 2:

I get it if we're in Disney World and they all have themed drinks and you're going to name it. Oh, that place. You know, it's like, okay, I'll order the Goofy's Punch or whatever. You're in the happiest place on earth. You can suck it up for a day and order the Goofy's Punch. That makes it fun for the people that are there and for kids. You have the silly names, but in the morning I just want some pancakes.

02:34:45 - 02:34:59 | Speaker 1:

I don't want a guy in a costume dressed up as a mouse making me a drink. You know what I mean? At the restaurant that I worked at that was family friendly, they would edit their menu. And so it was a sand in your shorts. And I loved when like 40-year-old dudes would be like, I would love to drink a sand in your shorts.

02:35:00 - 02:35:01 | Speaker 5:

What was that? A sex on the beach. Oh.

02:35:03 - 02:35:06 | Speaker 4:

Wait. They didn't want to have sex on the beach.

02:35:06 - 02:35:06 | Speaker 3:

They didn't have sex on the menu.

02:35:06 - 02:35:10 | Speaker 4:

Yeah. Speaking of that, hold on. I'm looking because you worked at Red Robin.

02:35:10 - 02:35:15 | Speaker 2:

That is where it was. And I'm looking at. Trying to avoid it.

02:35:16 - 02:35:25 | Speaker 4:

There's one of their drinks I love so much, and it makes me embarrassed to order, but it's like freckled something. Oh, the freckled lemonade. Come on. I would like the freckled lemonade.

02:35:25 - 02:35:28 | Speaker 5:

Oh, every time a man ordered that, I was like, yeah, you do.

02:35:30 - 02:35:34 | Speaker 3:

I love the freckled lemonade, but it's silly. Can't they just call it the time you order it? Strawberry lemonade.

02:35:34 - 02:35:35 | Speaker 1:

It's a strawberry lemonade.

02:35:36 - 02:35:37 | Speaker 4:

Jacob, what's happening?

02:35:38 - 02:35:56 | Speaker 1:

Hey, how's it going? I love you guys. Hey. There's a bar in Ann Arbor, and it has the blue ball blueberry cocktail that you can get. Nobody wants to get blue balls. That's pretty good. They made me say it, and I was like, oh, man, okay.

02:35:57 - 02:36:26 | Speaker 4:

See, now that's funny. That's okay. Hey, I'm good with that. I'll take that, Jacob. That sounds like that would be kind of fun. You know what? I actually, you brought up Moons Over My Hammy. I used to love, and Chelsea thought I was really weird. I used to love trying to go to Denny's for like lunch. Like I would say to her, she would say to me, she'd go, hey, do you have time today? You guys want to grab some lunch? And I'd go, yeah. And she'd go, where do you want to go? I'd go, let's go to Denny's.

02:36:26 - 02:36:35 | Speaker 5:

What? Sampler? No. No, you go to Denny's late night, though. I would always go late night. There are two acceptable times to go to Denny's. Sunday morning, after midnight.

02:36:36 - 02:36:40 | Speaker 4:

And that's what she said. She's like, Denny's? I didn't even know they were open during the day.

02:36:41 - 02:36:44 | Speaker 5:

So sorry for those waitresses at night.

02:36:44 - 02:37:03 | Speaker 4:

Chelsea's fear was going in and seeing what it looked like with the lights on. I don't want to see what kind of mess was made by people the night before. neither new nor improved but still better than the rest just mojo in the morning

02:37:03 - 02:37:07 | Speaker 1:

you are listening to mojo in the morning

02:37:07 - 02:37:32 | Speaker 4:

mojo in the morning I think I was on note That was actually not bad That was pretty good wasn't it

02:37:32 - 02:37:33 | Speaker 5:

Not far from it

02:37:33 - 02:38:13 | Speaker 4:

Yeah it was pretty decent Oh god I hate bringing up Topics like this When I think that maybe my Wife and my child Are in their car Driving Because You bring up certain things And you got your child driving And he thinks that it's gross. So I don't know. I'm looking. Oh, you know what? He may have a late start today. I think he's got a late start. Good. Okay, I can bring it up. All right. I just looked to see if the alarm was set off.

02:38:13 - 02:38:15 | Speaker 5:

I was wondering what you were doing on your phone.

02:38:15 - 02:38:42 | Speaker 4:

Yeah. So couples are finding it very, very hard, and I'll keep this clean for your children that could be there, to bake cookies because we are spending so much time at home, everybody's home, and a lot of times people don't want their children home when they're baking cookies. You know, they want to have the house to themselves.

02:38:42 - 02:38:44 | Speaker 5:

And eat all the cookies on their own.

02:38:45 - 02:39:20 | Speaker 4:

Yes. If you know what she means. Listen to this. Couples are finding creative places to bake cookies now that their kids are home. Many choosing for doing it in their basement, if they have a basement. Some are going out to the garage. And others say that they actually go in the car and will drive sometimes a block or two away from the house so that their children cannot hear them, you know, doing what they're doing.

02:39:20 - 02:39:27 | Speaker 3:

The return of car sex is welcomed. I think that's an interesting, fun thing. Cookies, car cookies, car cookies. Oh, car cookies, sorry.

02:39:28 - 02:39:33 | Speaker 5:

Wait, Mike, am I making this up in my head, or do I remember you telling us a story about you and Allie doing it in the car?

02:39:34 - 02:39:43 | Speaker 2:

Or you wanted to? We did, but it wasn't recently. We have been trying to find creative places, so if you have any ideas.

02:39:43 - 02:39:47 | Speaker 4:

Well, I just gave you three. How about the basement, the garage, or the car?

02:39:48 - 02:39:48 | Speaker 2:

Basement?

02:39:48 - 02:39:52 | Speaker 4:

You got to clean that car, though. I saw what that car looked like last week.

02:39:52 - 02:39:54 | Speaker 2:

Right. Jesus. God.

02:39:55 - 02:40:08 | Speaker 4:

Yeah. Mike, try, why don't you try the garage? You guys got a garage, right? Yeah, yeah, yeah, we do. Do you have like a, can you set up like a little, I don't know, a little tent or something inside the garage?

02:40:08 - 02:40:12 | Speaker 3:

It's not a big garage. We could do the basement. We got some storage areas in the basement. There you go.

02:40:13 - 02:40:17 | Speaker 1:

Okay, but here's the thing, Mike, because your kids are essentially the same age as mine.

02:40:17 - 02:40:17 | Speaker 3:

Yep.

02:40:18 - 02:40:24 | Speaker 1:

They follow you everywhere. So if you go in the garage, they go in the garage. You go in the basement, they go in the basement. You go in the car, they want to go in the car.

02:40:24 - 02:40:33 | Speaker 2:

You have a small window, but I mean, with the most kids returning to in-person learning this month, it should get a little easier, right? You might not have to be hiding in a closet in the basement behind the water heater.

02:40:34 - 02:40:37 | Speaker 4:

Yeah, that is actually a good point. That's a very good point.

02:40:37 - 02:40:45 | Speaker 2:

But to Shannon's point, they only take about 30 seconds before they look up and go, hmm, where'd a parent go? It got quiet, and they will find you.

02:40:45 - 02:41:01 | Speaker 4:

Chelsea did not want to have sex in our room one night because she said that, or it was the afternoon, because she didn't want the kids to hear us because the kids will knock on the door sometimes if they know we're in there. Even as old as they are right now So I said, let's go up to their room

02:41:01 - 02:41:07 | Speaker 2:

No, you cannot They'll never You can't bake cookies on your kids' bed

02:41:07 - 02:41:09 | Speaker 1:

Wait, have you ever?

02:41:11 - 02:41:17 | Speaker 4:

In their room? When they were younger When they were much younger Okay, wait

02:41:17 - 02:41:31 | Speaker 1:

I don't know if I've said this to you guys before Off the air or even on the air I have a friend who has Four kids The youngest three were all conceived with other children in the bed.

02:41:31 - 02:41:34 | Speaker 4:

Oh my gosh. It's crazy. Because they

02:41:34 - 02:41:49 | Speaker 1:

all love sleeping in the same bed. Like all the kids always crashed in mom and dad's bed. And so aside from their first, the other three were conceived with children in the bed with them. They didn't even care.

02:41:49 - 02:42:02 | Speaker 4:

See, Chelsea would never do that because if we woke up our child and she would be so upset no sex is good enough for that well that's the thing too is milo's at that age right now

02:42:02 - 02:42:07 | Speaker 3:

where like i think he can sense if we're having sex and like he'll wake up immediately yeah by

02:42:07 - 02:42:14 | Speaker 4:

the way ali trained him so she doesn't have to what's up jason what's going on uh hey good

02:42:14 - 02:42:33 | Speaker 6:

morning how are you good good yeah i was just having this convo with my wife some months back So, and you know, before, you know, this pandemic, I would take my wife to Pound Town minimum three times a week. Okay. But the problem, I have a back shed in the backyard that I turned into a love shack.

02:42:34 - 02:42:37 | Speaker 4:

The love shack is now, the shed is now the love shack.

02:42:38 - 02:42:43 | Speaker 6:

I got electrical in there. It's got heat. It's beautiful. We put a hammock in there.

02:42:43 - 02:42:48 | Speaker 2:

Is she into this? Does she like this or is she a reluctant participant?

02:42:48 - 02:42:58 | Speaker 4:

participant uh well hmm well i mean you've already if she's following you out there then i think

02:42:58 - 02:43:09 | Speaker 6:

she's okay with it well it might just be to shut it but honestly it was a good segue to turn the place into my like uh what do you call the man cave there you go that's not better mike what do

02:43:09 - 02:43:16 | Speaker 4:

you think about that can you teach mike how to make a love shack in his backyard yeah yeah i can do that. I can do that.

02:43:16 - 02:43:18 | Speaker 3:

I would like to become a resident of Pound Town.

02:43:18 - 02:43:27 | Speaker 4:

You definitely want to learn from a guy who calls it Pound Town. Mojo in the Morning. What's up, Randy? Hey, how you guys doing? Good. Where do you do your Pound Town?

02:43:28 - 02:44:05 | Speaker 5:

Well, I just was hearing you guys say someone wanted to hear a creative place to do that. Yes. And the most creative I ever did was back a few years ago I was with a girl who wanted to go to Pound Town as you guys said. Almost More than a couple times a day Which was a lot But the most creative one was At night Put a ladder against my detached garage Went up on the roof with a comforter Under the stars On the roof of the garage Very creative I was like oh my god I'm going to call and tell them this one

02:44:05 - 02:44:09 | Speaker 2:

Your neighbors appreciated it too

02:44:09 - 02:44:16 | Speaker 5:

But at night They don't expect to go looking out their windows and see someone on a garage roof. It was great.

02:44:16 - 02:44:21 | Speaker 4:

Randy, may I ask you a question without insulting you?

02:44:22 - 02:44:22 | Unknown:

Sure.

02:44:23 - 02:44:28 | Speaker 4:

Why is this woman not married up in your wife if she wanted to have sex a couple of times a day?

02:44:30 - 02:44:34 | Speaker 5:

We broke up probably like 10 years ago. You know, she's married now.

02:44:34 - 02:44:37 | Speaker 4:

How do you let her go? Two times a day?

02:44:37 - 02:44:41 | Speaker 5:

You know, I didn't want to, but long story.

02:44:41 - 02:44:47 | Speaker 4:

but but but randy let me just say this to you you've never gotten back to two times a day have

02:44:47 - 02:44:56 | Speaker 5:

you no no i i uh i'm i'm i would love that you know what's you know what's amazing though

02:44:56 - 02:44:59 | Speaker 4:

i i had a buddy of mine who was dating a girl

02:45:00 - 02:45:17 | Speaker 1:

wanted to have sex three times a day and he actually admitted to me that it was exhausting he said i was so exhausted we went and i'm like are you effing kidding me that's like being able to eat pizza three times a day who wouldn't want pizza three times a day i've been with three girls

02:45:17 - 02:45:28 | Speaker 2:

in the same day different girls okay okay yeah i know a lot of people live in orlando and they do not want to go to disney world anymore you know it's different things you get tired of it

02:45:29 - 02:45:34 | Speaker 1:

I don't know. I'm just looking at that going three times a day, two times a day.

02:45:34 - 02:45:38 | Speaker 2:

Plus, it gets dangerous if he has to keep going up on the roof that many times. That's true.

02:45:38 - 02:45:56 | Speaker 1:

I never thought about it. All right, Randy, take care of yourself, okay? Have a good one. Bye. All right, bye. We're going to do a phone scam right now on Mojo in the Morning. Spike is going to phone scam Tiffany, who works at U-Haul, to see if he can rent a truck so that he could take a few dead bodies to the cemetery. Let's see what her reaction is to that. It's Mojo in the Morning phone scam.

02:45:56 - 02:46:06 | Speaker 3:

We will, we will scam you. Sorry, it's a catchy song. It's your home with phone scans. Mojo in the morning.

02:46:09 - 02:46:13 | Speaker 4:

Thank you for calling. Moving out of storage. This is Tiffany speaking. How may I help you?

02:46:13 - 02:46:17 | Speaker 2:

Hey, Tiffany. It's Pauly Walnuts down at Irvine Cozzarelli Memorial Home. How you doing, Tiffany?

02:46:18 - 02:46:19 | Speaker 4:

I'm good, thank you.

02:46:19 - 02:46:22 | Speaker 2:

Good. You're doing better than me. You guys have any moving trucks available for this afternoon?

02:46:23 - 02:46:25 | Speaker 4:

Oh, I can see.

02:46:25 - 02:46:44 | Speaker 2:

and for today yes this afternoon as soon as possible i got two funerals tonight and one more internment in the morning so i could get your truck back in like 24 hours okay what size truck did you want it only needs to be about six feet long in the back okay uh 24 hours uh so it's

02:46:44 - 02:46:51 | Speaker 4:

1995 plus every nine cents a mile is also one dollar environmental fee and is that refrigerated

02:46:51 - 02:47:09 | Speaker 2:

then no do you have any refrigerated trucks no we do not yeah see i wasn't sure my cousin travis says he lived in one of your trucks for three months last summer but he's whiskey tango a little you know wt white trash so i never know never know when to believe him he might have i

02:47:09 - 02:47:15 | Speaker 4:

mean he might have been a little i don't know well here's what i need you tell me what kind

02:47:15 - 02:47:36 | Speaker 2:

of truck you have i gotta get for the funeral home here i gotta transport the dearly departed to the memorial service and then to the Garden of Remembrance where the earthly remains are interned in their final resting place, blah, blah, blah. Because our hearse blew up. My manager, Joey, forgot to get an oil change on the thing. Oh. Yeah, he's not the brightest bulb in the tanning bed.

02:47:37 - 02:47:38 | Speaker 4:

Me neither.

02:47:38 - 02:47:43 | Speaker 2:

So I need a truck in the worst way to get these bodies over to the church and then back here to the home.

02:47:45 - 02:47:47 | Speaker 4:

Hmm. I mean...

02:47:47 - 02:47:50 | Speaker 2:

Because we just need a temporary meat wagon. and we don't need anything long-term, you know?

02:47:51 - 02:47:51 | Speaker 4:

Mm-hmm.

02:47:51 - 02:47:56 | Speaker 2:

Do you have any trucks that are, like, all black or all white, like, with no writing on the sides?

02:47:57 - 02:48:00 | Speaker 4:

No, we don't. Even the vans have writing on the sides.

02:48:00 - 02:48:04 | Speaker 2:

Oh, okay. You know, what are we going to do? Desperate times call for desperate measures.

02:48:05 - 02:48:14 | Speaker 4:

Yeah, I mean, unless you wanted to do the van, which is not as boxy, and then the back is nine feet long.

02:48:14 - 02:48:22 | Speaker 2:

Oh, that is perfect. It's smaller. Now, can I bring the corpses down with me and load them up once I sign the paperwork? Because I'm behind schedule to get them to the churches.

02:48:23 - 02:48:24 | Speaker 4:

Yes, you can.

02:48:24 - 02:48:30 | Speaker 2:

And these poor guys, what do they know? Well, I guess I shouldn't feel bad for these guys. They'll be worm food by the weekend. They don't even know.

02:48:30 - 02:48:32 | Speaker 4:

I know.

02:48:32 - 02:48:46 | Speaker 2:

You know, they kicked the bucket. That's all she wrote. They're departing. I mean, they've checked out. They bought the farm. Dance the last dance. You know what I'm saying? They're taking a dirt nap. They're with the angels now. They've been called home, gone to meet their maker.

02:48:48 - 02:48:51 | Speaker 4:

Yes, and they'll have a nice service, so that's all that matters.

02:48:51 - 02:49:19 | Speaker 2:

They wouldn't even know if it was a good service. We could take them to Dairy Queen. They're terminated. They don't know. Or as I like to say, they're immortally challenged. You know, if you will, living impaired. But this will be great. I use the van. That's even cheaper than the truck, right? Yes. Oh, that'll save the family's money. Oh, my gosh, that'll save the family so much money. We could do this funeral cheaper and deeper, if you know what I'm saying. Put it on the credit card, and these guys will be worm food by the weekend.

02:49:20 - 02:49:26 | Speaker 4:

Okay. Did you want me to go ahead on and do the reservation for you? That way that will guarantee the van will be there for you?

02:49:26 - 02:49:32 | Speaker 2:

Well, that depends. Would you want me to go ahead and tell you that you've just been the victim of a phone scam on Mojo in the Morning?

02:49:36 - 02:49:37 | Speaker 1:

Oh, my gosh.

02:49:38 - 02:49:40 | Speaker 2:
