I think it would be good for us to all get together.

We would have our Christmas clothing on and we'd all be in our Chevy Suburban because we had six kids in our house. And we'd all be fighting. And by the time we got there, our clothes were all messed up. Our thing was, mom's like, you know, where's that boat? I had like a holiday bow tie somewhere. Where's your bow tie? I forgot my bow tie.

You forgot the bow tie. I loved, we would always go to Olin Mills. Olin Mills. That was the place where we would go.

looks like they're being kidnapped forced to take this family photo i don't know but i don't know where it was but i was the face of that business the the family photo one when you walked in like oh you got a deal after that well it was a cute photo i was being an absolute terror behind it but they caught the right moment where it looks like I'm pushing off my hat really cute, I'm actually screaming, no! I sent that picture. You showed it to me. Yes, it's a good photo.

I'll never forget taking the kids to a place and the guy would use this, it almost kind of made me think of like a little, like nowadays it wouldn't go. He had this little thing that was like a tickler or something like that. He would tickle the kids to get their smile. It was like a thing that you would dust with and I'm like, get that thing out of my kid's face. So creepy. So creepy. Wait, Tom, where did you take your pictures? tomas are you there tom tom is he not there let's go to sarah are you there oh no you know what hold on a second hold on you guys stay there for a second again i have to have problems on my last day here today uh i didn't uh grab this right tom tom tom yes sir how you doing where did you take your pictures definitely had pictures done at kmart oh my god kmart kmart i just remembered Kmart Layaway. Well, Lizzo is finally speaking out about that lawsuit with her backup dancers, the ones that accused her of all sorts of harassment, including sexual harassment. She was chatting with Kiki Palmer on a podcast yesterday where she was talking about this harassment lawsuit that was brought by three of her former dancers, a lawsuit that accused Lizzo and her touring company of all sorts of legal wrongdoing. And there were like dozens and dozens of pages of very detailed allegations. She, for the record, has always denied the claims.

it's 2023 they come with a lawsuit and it's a bunch of different claims about harassment assault were you surprised did you know about it beforehand that it was coming before we saw it hit

the net or was it a complete blind side situation i was completely surprised really um i was very deeply hurt because you know these were three ex dancers so they weren't on the tour they didn't finish the tour out with us. But even regardless of that, these were people that I gave opportunities to. These were people that I liked them and appreciated them as dancers, respected them as dancers. So I was like, what? But then I heard all the other things like sexual harassment. And I was like, they're trying. Well, I don't know what they're trying to do, but these are the types of things that the media can turn into something that it's not. Lizzo said she is

learning from this experience moving forward it is one of my favorite christmas movies to watch at this time of year jim carrey's version of how the grinch stole christmas classy however did you know that the cast of that 2000 adaptation is kind of sort of cursed you hear this with different movies and that version of the grinch is one of them including a tragic early death for josh ryan Evans, who played Baby Grinch in the movie. He passed away two years after the movie came out. Taylor Momsen, who played the adorable Cindy Lou, who she has dealt with severe depression and substance abuse amid her stardom. If you watched Gossip Girl, you saw her on that show as well. Even Jim Carrey has weathered some scandal after allegations surrounding the tragic suicide of his on again, off again, girlfriend at the time. Christine Baranski, who starred as the Grinch's childhood crush, the neighbor that had that light gun, right, that put up all the Christmas lights, she has been forced to deal with the grief of losing her husband since the movie debuted. So it's like a cursed movie. That's what they, like a cursed cast. Interesting. Yeah. Wow. There's another movie that's supposed to be, why am I not brain farting here? I can't remember. I'll think of it. And police in New Jersey are searching for two suspects after they were caught on camera stealing a package off of somebody's port and then returning it a couple of days later after a video of them twerking during the theft was posted online. This is the best story. So this resident's ring camera captured these two individuals running up to their front door. And police said one of the suspects grabbed the Amazon package containing some baby items. It was valued at like 75 bucks from the porch. The other suspect then ran up to the front door and began taunting the resident on their ring camera by twerking. Then they both started twerking and then both suspects ran away. Well, the victim, the resident was like, nope, I'm going to let these guys have it. So he posted the video on the Ring Neighbors app to warn his neighbors and then the video went viral. It was posted everywhere. The news picked it up. Well, in a turn of events, the two suspects returned to this guy's home a couple of days later. They approached the Ring camera and one of them said, come on, dude. Not cool, bro. That's my ass all over the internet. Because they were bare butt. Not cool that you were stealing. Like, you idiot. So they also brought back the Amazon package and said, we meant to give this back. Put it on the steps and then ran away again.

Gotta love it. It's always funny until someone loses an eye or until somebody twerks on camera. I'm telling you, I think nowadays you got to just assume that you're all over camera. And if you're bold enough to sit there and twerk for it, you're dumb enough to actually get yourself caught. Oh, hold on a second real quick. And best friends with Bobby Patterson. So you had reached out to a couple of different coaches just to talk to them and see if they could give words of encouragement, including Coach Lou Holtz. And he had Coach Lou Holtz give him a video saying to him, hey, you got this, Bob. And then it spurred on to we're going to start telling people that Bob's going through this. And, Coach, Bobby's been going through this since June. He's a battler. He's a winner. He's going to win this thing. And you're putting together a fundraiser tonight. But before we give everybody the details about that, will you tell everybody in the short few days how much money has been raised on a GoFundMe page for Bob Patterson?

Yeah, so Bobby fought me on this. Obviously, as you know, Mojo, Bobby, you know, can be hardheaded at times. But I got to the point with Kelly and Bobby and I said, look, I'm just going to ask for forgiveness. instead of permission here um um so it's we started the go fund me on tuesday afternoon um and as of this morning between the go fund me and a few private donations we have raised over

93 000 so uh mr p as luke calls him mr p uh has touched so many people including my son luke his friends uh uh Landon uh and Evan they've all personally donated money they're probably college beer drinking money to uh to help out to help out Mr. P who is a he's a school administrator over at Marist Notre Dame Prep and his wife is the assistant principal also at uh the middle school at Notre Dame so they're both on you know

know school people salaries and so we want to try to make it possible that they don't have to worry about taking time off from work to be able to get healthy but tonight you're doing something at the Cardinal Mooney Lutheran North game what are you doing coach yeah so Bobby it's important

to me because Bobby and I met here at Cardinal Mooney we're both alumni of Cardinal Mooney we met here at 14 years old in 1989 played three sports together when I found out about this I had this idea, he fought me on, and then I finally just ran with it. And we're doing what we're calling Ballin' for Bobby, which all the proceeds tonight from T-shirt sales, our concessions, our gate, our 50-50, all of that cash, checks, everything will be donated and taken home with Bobby and Kelly tonight. So it is no doubt in my mind that we will be well over $100,000 for that family by the time we're done tonight. That's incredible.

That is awesome.

You know what, first off, Coach, you are an excellent coach. You're a great mentor to these kids, but you're even better. You're a great best friend to Bob Patterson, to Mr. P.

Well, I appreciate that. There's not a shadow of a doubt in my mind that if the roles were reversed, Bobby Patterson would step up for me. Bobby has been there for me my entire life. He has showed up in my hardest times. He was there when my father passed away for me three years ago. As a matter of fact, you know how it is when you grew up in the 80s and 90s. Like, Mr. and Mrs. Patterson's house, I walked in like I lived there. And every time he walked in my house, I think my parents were more excited to see him than they were me. Right. Yeah. I think they loved him more than they loved me. But it's just, it's something that's important to me. You know, friendship, you and I talked about this yesterday, Mojo. Friendship, as you get older and life takes different courses, friendship isn't measured in how many times you see or talk to each other. It's measured on whether you show up or not when you're needed. And that's all this is about, is just showing up for Bobby. And it's a testament to Bobby, not anybody else. I'm just facilitating. The amount of money raised is because of the incredible impact he has had on so many people in both communities. You know, Mojo, you and I talked about it yesterday. The best way I can describe Bobby for people that don't know him, whether you've spent five minutes with Bobby, five hours with Bobby, or 35 years with Bobby like myself, you feel better after every single interaction yeah and there are very few people you come across

that make you feel that way what a testament to say about somebody he made he listen he made my child better and he made my family better and you know there's that famous movie it's a wonderful life at the end when george bailey's brother harry comes in and says to my you know big brother george the richest man in town to bobby patterson the richest man in town you are getting through this thing and you know what you are rich with love and friendship and i truly believe that will get his immune system better and the doctors better and uh kelly and the kids better and so when they get through this thing you know we'll look back on it and we'll have a

bigger celebration for uh for bob patterson yeah and and kelly's been an absolute kelly's a saint right um i mean she started her canonization process to becoming a saint by marrying bobby yeah yeah um but through all of this she has been the backbone for him sure yeah he uh he loves his

family he loves his wife dearly and i will tell you this the power of prayer if our listeners can just say a prayer for bobby patterson i think that that works uh coach go get them tonight

He works endless hours to make ends meet and still the obstacles keep piling on from a broken stove to a dryer that no longer works and recently simply getting to work became a struggle when he lost his vehicle. And lastly, one woman says she wants to ditch her family's holiday gathering after they set an outrageous price tag for Secret Santa. This year, her family decided to raise the price limit to $250 per gift for Secret Santa. That's insanity. She said she was shocked. And she's like, I get that inflation has hit, but that is a lot of money for one gift, especially for something that's supposed to be fun and kind of quirky. And she just said, I don't have the budget this year. But now she feels isolated from both the tradition and her family. Her mom thinks she's being petty. Her dad said she's overreacting. It's not about the price. It's about the spirit of Christmas. The majority of her large family, 24 people, agreed to that $250 per gift limit. So I'm asking you, what are your thoughts on this? What should be the limit for a family secret Santa?

Well, I mean, it's a lot of money, but I think it all depends on, you know, what everybody's doing financially. But I also think that you can find great gifts for less than that, and I think that the gift is in the creativity of who comes up with it.

Like, I'm doing a Secret Santa this year. I do it with the same group every year. It's like White Elephant, whatever, and it's $20. I'm with you. That's great. I like it.

I'm not as mad because it has to deal with family. If it was like a work thing, that would be a different story.

because as you have seen with you know past administrations usually it's the last year or two of your uh being the governor because the term limits and stuff where you're able to try to get some things done and are there a couple things that you want to get done before the end

of this thing yeah you know i've already had some some good conversations with the the legislator leaders about, you know, moving forward, making sure we stay competitive and doing some more in terms of fixing roads and infrastructure that every one of us relies on. So I think we can get, I think we're up to the task to make this a very productive turn ahead. And I'm looking forward to

I heard moved our studios from Farmington Hills to Eastern Market now is where we're broadcasting and being in detroit has been really eye-opening for me being on the air here for 25 years that we broadcasted from the suburbs which i always thought was a weird thing but obviously the resurgence of the city has helped with that what are your what what are your thoughts on what happened over the last couple of weeks with the mayor deciding he's going to run for governor and he's going to do that as an independent have have you had any conversations

with him about that oh yeah he gave me a heads up before it became public you know mike and i their friends. I've got a lot of friends who are either going to thinking about or getting ready to run for governor, and they're all going to have to, you know, make their cases with Michigan public, and I'm not going to get involved in it. I'm just going to stay focused on two years of trying to get as much done as I can, and then I'll hand it over to whomever wins the governor's race in 2026. That's got to be super hard, though, to, like, have friends that are all saying, hey, I'm vying for the position. What do you think? And you're like, uh.

I've had that in radio where guys wanted to move up to other positions and stuff like that. Yeah, yeah. But you almost have to at one point say, okay, I got to take a stand. But I think if you do that, will you say Kev for governor? Because I think Kev, what do you think, Kev?

She was chatting with Kiki Palmer yesterday on a podcast where she was talking about the sexual harassment lawsuit. It was brought by three of her former backup dancers. A lawsuit that accused Lizzo and her touring company of a wide range of legal wrongdoing and dozens of pages of detailed allegations. She has always, always denied all of the claims.

Awesome, we appreciate you Hold on one second Alright Mojo in the Morning show Something kind of cool is going on for Kevin. You know, we talked about, you know, Kev and his breakup. And you hear Kevin talk all the time about his son, Josiah. Well, Kevin, this year, Christmas was going to be kind of a lonely one because not only did you just go through this breakup and you weren't going to be with Journey, but you also this year had the rotation of Christmas and you weren't going to be with Josiah because he was going to be with his mom.

That's what I thought. Honestly, so so for those who don't know, Josiah's mother is named Jasmine and obviously we're not together and we've come a long way in how we parent Josiah and more, not more importantly, but as important, if not more important as Josiah is living with us, how we treat each other. And it hasn't been great, but we're at a great place right now. And we have one week on, one week off with Josiah. So I get him every other week, but we still abide by what the court has distinguished to be our holiday time. So every other year I get Josiah on the Christmas day. So for this year, I wasn't sure. So how it would work is I would get Josiah from the day that he gets out of school for whatever the break is up until 6 p.m. Christmas Eve. And then I would drop him off to his mom and I wouldn't get him back until New Year's Eve at 6 p.m. So I thought that was this year. But then she read the document was like, no, you get him for Christmas. And I was like, wow, but I know I'm moving into the new house. It's not all festive in there. It's not the lights and the trees. And I was like, you know what, man? Why don't you keep Josiah for Christmas Eve? And this might be crazy, but would you mind if I came over and spent the night? so that when Josiah woke up, he could have, like, both his parents, which he's never had before for Christmas. You guys have never done this before. Ever in his home life. Never.

Because you guys have never been together since Josiah has been born. He's never had that. Wow. So, wait a second.

I want him to. Is this, like, one of those Hallmark movies? No, let's not, like, no, no, no, no, no. That's not, my intention is not to have a relationship with Jasmine. My intention is to focus on how happy this will make Josiah.

Okay, so what did she say when you said that to her?

She was like, okay, that's cool. So are you going to sleep, like, in Josiah's room? Is that how you're going to do it?

and why not give him this moment, something that I know he wants, something that I know he will cherish, even if it's nothing that he's ever asked before. But why do I look at this as one of those hallmark moments?

Because everybody loves hope. Yeah. That's what it is. Everybody loves the idea of hope and, you know, but the reality is, like Kev said, you're both not interested in that ending.

My ex and I do this every year. We're divorced. The first year, it had been like a whole year since we got divorced prior, and we did end up hooking up. And then past that, it was never again.

Wade, what was it that led to it?

I don't know if it was just, like, feelings of, like, being together again and seeing our family together and how happy it made the kids. To have both parents there together on Christmas morning, it's just really emotional, for sure.

Man. Did the kids get upset that you guys hooked up and then that happened? Like, sometimes kids don't want their parents to be together.

No, and that's another reason why we never did it again. It kind of gave them false hope. Like, they're younger, seven and nine, so they definitely got really excited because it was like, oh, well, since you stayed Christmas Eve, why don't you stay tonight, too? and then it turned into, like, three days of some staying. Oh, wow. So we messed up there.

Question, what kind of advice can you give to Kevin and Jasmine on doing this this year? Yeah.

I think Kevin's got it. Just focus on Josiah. That's all you've got to remember. Think about, you know, be intentional with your actions. Think about how it may affect him, and you'll be straight.

when i was uh it was a while ago but my boyfriend was dropping me off um at the front of a restaurant and i got out of the car and then as i was starting to walk away i was like oh wait i forgot my purse so i opened the door and he started to drive away and then he stopped suddenly and the side of the door like the part it's like hard to describe but it sliced my face open oh my god and i was laying i i was laying on the parking lot ground like with my face bloody what did he do and he like grabbed he grabbed me and like brought me he jumped out of his car and then we went into the restaurant and i was like crying through the restaurant with blood streaming down my face

everybody thought that that guy was a bad guy didn't they yes and i was it was so scary because

People were looking at me. People were like, oh, my goodness. Their kids were scared. I was like, it looked like a horror movie. Oh, my God. And it was all in my hair. It was everywhere. Unbeknownst to me, the rope that I had that I was going to catch him with slipped down around my arm and went into the wheel well of the side-by-side. And it wrapped around my arm and pulled me out of the gator going 45 miles an hour. I broke all of my ribs on my left-hand side. The gator hit me.

helped me and it was also on a dirt driveway so I had road rafts everywhere. My poor mother who's 70 some years old was in the passenger seat and she's still going looking back at me like oh my god what just happened? So finally the rope is still wrapped completely around my arm cutting off all circulation but finally got up to the house and um walked in the front door and proceeded to pass out on the dog bed and my husband was like what did you do and called an ambulance and kind of the rest is history but i tell you oh my goodness by the way if you got a horse do you got

absolutely and that was 100% wrong they should have never put their hands on those two guys that's the security it wasn't security it was the usher and that usher was after him for the entire game there was nothing that those guys did they weren't standing up they weren't being mean

they weren't yelling at people so there wasn't anybody complaining about them at all nobody

complained. There was nobody down there the entire game until that usher came down there and started yelling at those guys. I'll be honest with you.

It was wrong. I'll be honest. And you know more than I do because you were there. All I know is the video. There's nothing better than seeing some guy's head go up against the boards. I don't know. Even if it was me, I'd be upset. I love it.

He was extradited to New York from Pennsylvania. And that's where they put him. So it's him and Diddy cozy together.

Did you see the, there was a story here. Hold on, let me, I'm Googling it right now. Copycat. There is a... Oh, here you go. A Michigan man is accused of allegedly stabbing the president of a company that he worked at in the middle of a meeting in what is being called now a copycat attack that mirrors the killing of UnitedHealthcare CEO Brian Thompson. Eric Denslow heads the Anderson Express Incorporated Manufacturing Company in Muskegon, which is our listening area, was stabbed during a staff meeting on Tuesday. And the police say that they have not ruled out that it was a copycat killing. It was the CEO of the company or the person that was running the company being stabbed in the middle of the meeting. and some people are saying that he had brought up that UnitedHealthcare Luigi thing that was going on. That's crazy. It's craziness. Crazy.

So I do have an update on Lions player David Montgomery. I know a lot of people were wondering what's the deal with his knee and I saw this on X earlier this morning. David Montgomery has avoided a season-ending knee injury and will rehab with the hopes of returning to the team during the playoffs. That's per rap sheet. So I know he had gotten three different opinions of what to do with this injury, and this is what he's opting for. So fingers crossed he'll be back.

Sure did. So a bunch of my friends and I had dinner reservations last night to check out a restaurant in downtown Detroit. It's called Alpino. I love shouting out our local restaurants.

What kind of restaurant? What kind of food?

They say, I don't even really know how to describe it. It's like a mix of food from like Germany and like the area around the Alps is what they say. It sounds weird, but the food is absolutely freaking phenomenal. So good. Try it. Put it on your list. So I walk in with like seven of my girlfriends and they're leading us to our table, which is a long table, like right in the center of this little itty bitty restaurant. And I look over into the corner of the restaurant nestled next to the fireplace. all cozy and who do i see none other than kp on a date and it's that moment of like i really want to go say hi but i also don't want to interrupt and be a total creep so i just sat down and left her alone but i did send her a text to say i want to come say hi i don't want to

interrupt did you see the tape uh the text i saw it later but but i actually didn't because it

it wasn't me. I was on a date.

hospital.

But because of you and all your efforts, this is why we're here. We're here to say thank you. What you guys did was over the moon. You guys went above and beyond for one of our own. As police officers, we're really good at responding to other people's emergencies. But when it's one of our own, it's a gut check. And I was watching the Facebook stream of the event at Nick's house when you guys did the B&E. By the way, as a cop, you can call us an event. Right, exactly. And a B&E. And a B&E. Exactly. You guys got the warrants. The break in and in. Warrants are still valid. And I can tell you, everybody in this room, everybody in the station, there was hardly a dry eye. What you guys did for Jack was amazing. The presents were over the top, but the heart and soul of it was the wheel.

I know that you guys, we got to pray for Nick. We got to pray for a miracle for this guy.

Yeah, absolutely.

And you know what kind of an officer he is, what kind of a cop he is. He's a tough son of a bitch, isn't he?

He is. You know, Nick hired in five months after me. We spent a lot of nights in a squad car together. And he's currently, you know, still in critical condition in an out-of-state hospital fighting. His wife has not left his side. And his Warren PD family hasn't left his side either. And we don't plan on it. As you can see here, everybody who came here today, in some way or another, worked with Nick. We knew Officer Nick, but we knew Nick, the husband, and the father. And again, that's what makes what you guys did so extra special, and that's why we got to come here complete with arrest warrants and some traditional cop food courtesy of Dunkin' Donuts.

But I want to know what judge signed off on this.

It'll only be explained to court.

um holly and nick are they're away battling right now they're at the best of the best hospitals with the best of the best treatment jack is with grandma and grandpa and just keep these guys in your prayers we hope for a miracle and i will tell you that there's chances that there is going to be a miracle i mean we had docs that told us that there's there's very good chances and obviously what uh we were did is a small portion of this we wish that we never had to do this um but uh we love those that serve and protect us man and you guys uh put your lives on the line every single day so thank you for what you're you're doing this morning thanks for coming in studio merry christmas to you be safe over these next few weeks i know it gets crazy out there

Where Nick's wife, Holly, remains steadfast by his side at an out-of-state hospital while their son Jack must spend the holidays separated from his parents. A heart wrenching situation for any family, particularly during this time of year. And whereas this year Mojo in the Morning has chosen to grant the breaking and entering Christmas wish to Nick and his family, recognizing a profound challenge they are facing and offering the warmth and love of a community during this difficult time. Therefore, I, Lori M.
