00:02:26 - 00:02:57 | Speaker 7:

all right it is the mojo in the morning show it's that time of year when your kids make christmas list and they give you probably 28 000 things on their christmas list and then they give

00:02:57 - 00:03:59 | Speaker 3:

it to you yeah i'm almost done with loose loose was super she's super easy um smith seven and a half he's a little tougher um and so last night he was and i did already start shopping for him but last night he was like i want to make a christmas list i said okay and i'm thinking you know like after a while he's like how do you spell oh my god smith i'm just trying to make dinner so i finally had the genius idea i pulled up amazon and i was like search things in amazon because i knew it would kind of correct it and i go fill the cart don't hit buy and that way like all of the things that he wanted or wants are in an amazon cart but then he also was writing you guys he's right his handwriting is this big each letter is like 11 inches high we gotta work on this um but he also wrote part of a list of things that he could not find on amazon my child is asking for a cyber truck oh you know not a not like a not a not a model cyber truck

00:03:59 - 00:04:11 | Speaker 7:

not a power wheel cyber truck an actual you know why he was doing that because you did that topic on the air about Cybertrucks and how people who drive Cybertrucks are

00:04:11 - 00:04:41 | Speaker 3:

douchebags. Oh, I know you're so excellent. Finger crossed does not ever listen to this radio show. But also I had to explain to him, I'm like, Smith, honey, you can't even drive until you're 16. Also, mama will never have enough money to be able to buy you a Cybertruck. So you gotta wait until you're 16 and ask your dad. It's a self-driving car so does he need to be able to drive? Shut up, Megan. But you have to laugh at some of the items on these kids' Christmas lists. A Cybertruck.

00:04:41 - 00:04:59 | Speaker 7:

What's the biggest thing on your kids' Christmas list? Or what was the biggest thing on your kids' Christmas list? I remember when the boys were younger, and I don't know which one it was. It might have been Jacob or something like that. But Jacob wanted, it was similar to what you did about a car. Like, Jacob wanted it, and I thought, oh, this is kind of cool.

00:05:00 - 00:05:17 | Speaker 3:

He literally put the MSRP by coming. I thought it was like, oh, my God, they're in the Hot Wheels. I loved Hot Wheels and Matchbox cars when I was a kid. And my kids were never. It was like the kid literally wanted, like, the actual car. And you had the MS. He goes, MSRP. Didn't even know what the hell MSRP stood for.

00:05:17 - 00:06:00 | Speaker 2:

Are you all familiar with Operation Santa? Yeah. Is that a charity? So the post office, it ended yesterday. But the post office has this partnership with, like, the richest people in the world where they accept letters from anybody. It doesn't have to be a child. It can be anybody. And you write your wildest dreams. You mail it to Santa, who lives at the North Pole, whatever, whatever, whatever. And they set those letters aside and then upload them to a website where rich people read the letters and buy you whatever you want. That's crazy. It ended yesterday, though. Did Josiah send something in? Yeah. The only thing that I know for sure, this is why I was looking at flights yesterday, I told him, I was like, put a trip to Tokyo on there. Oh, you can't tell him. Well, I mean, he was asking, like, what do I want? I'm like, dream big.

00:06:01 - 00:06:07 | Speaker 3:

844-MOJO-LIVE, 844-665-6548. What's on your kids' Christmas list? Hi, Mojo in the morning. Hello.

00:06:08 - 00:06:09 | Speaker 6:

Good morning.

00:06:09 - 00:06:10 | Speaker 3:

Hi, what's happening?

00:06:11 - 00:06:14 | Speaker 6:

My daughter wants a DJ booth.

00:06:14 - 00:06:15 | Speaker 3:

A DJ booth?

00:06:15 - 00:06:17 | Speaker 6:

I should come to the studio today.

00:06:17 - 00:06:18 | Speaker 1:

They're about to throw her away.

00:06:18 - 00:06:22 | Speaker 3:

Wait, like a DJ booth that you would see, like, in a club or something like that?

00:06:23 - 00:06:30 | Speaker 4:

Yes, and she's five. I blame Barbie, of all people. Wait. No, no, no. Don't blame. Honor Barbie was there.

00:06:31 - 00:06:40 | Speaker 3:

I will say this to you, though. That was one of the things. When I was a kid, all I wanted was, did you guys ever hear of Mr. Microphone? Did you guys ever know that? Or are you guys too young for Mr. Microphone?

00:06:40 - 00:06:41 | Speaker 5:

No, what is it? Hang on.

00:06:41 - 00:06:58 | Speaker 3:

Mr. Microphone, you would hook it up to your car or your home stereo system, which nobody has home stereo systems anymore, but you would hook it up and you could go to a special channel on there and it gave you a microphone. That thing lasted a day in my house until my dad, with his Cuban accent, goes, throw the goddamn thing away.

00:06:59 - 00:07:10 | Speaker 4:

Dude, I had one of those that had a voice modulator on it, and Yellow Submarine was on there, along with Independent Women Part 2, and we screeched it for three days before my dad said, the wire's broke, weird.

00:07:11 - 00:07:14 | Speaker 3:

What happened? I don't know what happened. Angela, what's up?

00:07:14 - 00:07:16 | Speaker 7:

Good morning, guys. How are you? Good morning.

00:07:16 - 00:07:23 | Speaker 3:

Great. Smith asked for a brand-new Cybertruck, an actual Cybertruck for Christmas. What did your kids ask for?

00:07:24 - 00:07:45 | Speaker 7:

So my son, who is 10, asked for a full gaming PC setup, desk, computer, all the fun stuff. He's never played on a PC in his life. Doesn't know how to game. I had to tell him, Santa doesn't really bring those big presents for a 10-year-old that doesn't know how to play. Hey, question for you.

00:07:46 - 00:07:53 | Speaker 3:

What was the catalog that you used to look at as a kid? Because I think nowadays the kids have the internet.

00:07:53 - 00:07:59 | Speaker 7:

Service merchandise. Baby, Patty, service merchandise. The back of the catalog was all the toys.

00:07:59 - 00:08:05 | Speaker 3:

These kids nowadays, they have everything they want online. They can get it anything they want.

00:08:06 - 00:08:12 | Speaker 7:

Anything. And, you know, he went through the Target book and circled all Squishmallows. Oh, yeah. Go to Costco for those, by the way.

00:08:13 - 00:08:15 | Speaker 3:

Elizabeth, what's up? It's Mojo in the morning.

00:08:16 - 00:08:17 | Speaker 6:

Hi, good morning.

00:08:17 - 00:08:18 | Speaker 3:

What's going on?

00:08:19 - 00:08:31 | Speaker 6:

My four-year-old daughter. She's asking for those Tesla robots. Oh, Kim Kardashian just got one. Yes, I saw that. She wants this robot so this robot can help her clean her room.

00:08:31 - 00:08:36 | Speaker 3:

Yeah, you know what? That would be the reason why you'd want one of those, right? Help you around the house.

00:08:37 - 00:08:48 | Speaker 6:

So we took family pictures and Santa was there. And Santa's, you know, asking her, what did she want for Christmas? What toy? And she pulls out with this robot to help her clean her room. And Santa looks at me like, I'm crazy.

00:08:48 - 00:09:08 | Speaker 3:

Oh, my gosh. That's wild. All I kept thinking of this morning when Shannon told us a story about Smith with the Cybertruck was, we were like, yeah, you should get him this. I remember when we got Luke a dirt bike. That dirt bike ended up going right through all of our trees in the front of our house. Like, literally, it went on. Do you remember that picture at all?

00:09:08 - 00:09:10 | Speaker 7:

Yeah, I would not get him a dirt bike.

00:09:10 - 00:09:15 | Speaker 3:

Oh, my God. It was crazy. I wanted a snowplow when I was a kid. I always thought that a snowplow.

00:09:15 - 00:09:20 | Speaker 7:

They make power wheels, kids' snowplows. Yeah. You wanted to do work.

00:09:21 - 00:09:25 | Speaker 3:

I wanted a snow plow. I wanted a big plow like the plow trucks that come down your street. What's up, Jenny?

00:09:26 - 00:09:27 | Speaker 5:

Hey, Mojo.

00:09:27 - 00:09:28 | Speaker 3:

Hi. What did your kid ask for?

00:09:29 - 00:09:33 | Speaker 5:

My eight-year-old son asked me for a dirt bike.

00:09:34 - 00:09:36 | Speaker 3:

See, there you go. Are you going to get it for him?

00:09:37 - 00:09:46 | Speaker 5:

Of course I'm going to get it for him. But I said to him, where are you going to ride this dirt bike? We don't have anywhere to ride this. We'll see. I don't know. He said in the backyard.

00:09:46 - 00:09:47 | Speaker 3:

Where do you live?

00:09:48 - 00:09:49 | Speaker 5:

I live in Pinkton.

00:09:49 - 00:09:57 | Speaker 3:

Yeah, that's a, well, I guess Pinkton is probably a little bit better, but there's no streets usually in our neighborhood to be able to ride those things on, but that's cool.

00:09:57 - 00:09:59 | Speaker 5:

Yeah, we don't live on the street where he can just take.

00:10:00 - 00:10:06 | Speaker 4:

off on the dirt bike but hey he's gonna figure it out uh this is christmas memory that's cool

00:10:06 - 00:10:19 | Speaker 2:

you're a great mom thank you for the uh call uh what was it that your kid asked for alexis she's 17 and she asked for a mattress oh that's nice like does she not have a good mattress or

00:10:19 - 00:10:35 | Speaker 5:

she just wants something better well she's got an older one we live in an old farmhouse okay And we can't get the queen-size box spring up the stairs. Oh, she wants to figure back. So we had, like, made something else for her. So she's like, it's getting uncomfortable.

00:10:37 - 00:10:54 | Speaker 2:

That's awesome. You know what? Are you going to get it for her? Are you going to figure out a way? Yeah. Give it one off, T-Move. Pull it through. No, don't do that. They now do these purple mattresses where they come wrapped up enough. Those are amazing. And you can get them up the stairs, and then it goes, it opens up.

00:10:54 - 00:11:28 | Speaker 4:

um what's up nicole hey good morning everybody uh calling about the funny christmas gift my 11 year old son has been wanting a samurai sword for years basically he's 11 yeah and he's thinking of ways he can be safe with it like wrap a towel and duct tape it at the end and practice on the couch yeah and then yesterday i'm at work and he sends me this text and he said evidently i can't have a samurai sword unless i'm 18 and i can't even live in a home that has a samurai sword so

00:11:28 - 00:12:01 | Speaker 2:

i'd like a 3d printer liz what did your uh son ask for for christmas from santa oh just an atm machine no big deal that's my kid i love that that's the best i'm like you want it empty or fully loaded uh kaylin what did your uh son ask for for christmas uh for two years in a row he

00:12:01 - 00:12:09 | Speaker 4:

asked for a butler okay wait that's my favorite oh that's awesome by the way we got to get the

00:12:09 - 00:12:14 | Speaker 2:

We got to get the kid with the butler and the ATM together and hang out with each other.

00:12:14 - 00:12:18 | Speaker 4:

Merry Christmas from Mojo in the morning. Mojo in the morning.

00:12:18 - 00:13:41 | Speaker 2:

I love working out at Planet Fitness, and I love what Planet Fitness has to offer. Everything that you need is right there in a gym for just $1 down, $15 a month. Yeah, $15 a month gives you anything that you need for a workout, whether it be jump on a treadmill or work out with some weights. Go to planetfitness.com to join today. back to mojo in the morning mojo in the morning i went home yesterday and i literally i crashed so i went home i so i had a you know a lunch uh client thing and then i uh tried to do i was like i'm gonna try to exercise today i walked into the gym said hi to everybody i went got on a treadmill for about 20 minutes and realized how tired i was And then I thought to myself, you know what? I'm kind of bored. I don't know if I want to be on the treadmill. Maybe I'll walk around Kroger. So I decided I'd get off of the treadmill, and I just started walking aimlessly around Kroger. And then I found myself getting hungry, even though I just ate lunch. So I'm like, I'm just going to go home and go to bed. And I went home. But then I looked at my steps this morning. I was happy. I had 8,500 steps. That was actually pretty good for a Monday, which my Mondays are usually like 800 steps. Usually, my Mondays are my least steps day.

00:13:41 - 00:13:54 | Speaker 3:

This is how bad I am, though. I've been thinking about getting one of those treadmills that, like, goes under your couch for my living room. Yeah. But then I'm like, it'll be warm soon. I could just walk outside. I'll save the money and wait. Like, I will find any excuse not to go walking.

00:13:54 - 00:13:58 | Speaker 2:

You have actually, no, been great, though, at the walking park.

00:13:58 - 00:14:04 | Speaker 3:

A lot of that, though, is because I live in the city now. It's so easy to go for a walk in the city versus my neighborhood.

00:14:05 - 00:14:13 | Speaker 2:

You are, yeah. And honestly, that's how I feel sometimes, too. Like, I feel like, okay, I'll be more willing to do it if I have something to look at, you know?

00:14:13 - 00:14:15 | Speaker 3:

And you know what I do? Oh, I'm sorry. Go ahead.

00:14:15 - 00:14:19 | Speaker 2:

Which normally Planet Fitness does do it for me if there are hot girls that are around me.

00:14:19 - 00:14:19 | Speaker 3:

Ah, well.

00:14:19 - 00:14:24 | Speaker 2:

Yesterday was two in the afternoon, and it was a bunch of dudes that were, like, 45 years old.

00:14:24 - 00:14:29 | Speaker 3:

But these are bad incentives to go walking because I take notes, and I go, I want to go shopping at this store, and I want to go shopping at this store.

00:14:30 - 00:14:54 | Speaker 1:

No, that's motivation. So you said it was a bunch of, like, if it was young, hot girls, it would motivate you. I went to the gym yesterday, and I was on the treadmill, too. I was waiting for Wes to join me, and he was running a little bit late. So I'm like, oh, I'll just walk until he gets here. The lady next to me was probably, and this is no exaggeration, 80, 85 years old. Damn. And she was walking faster than me. And that was my motivation to kick it off.

00:14:55 - 00:14:57 | Speaker 5:

I'm like, there's no.

00:14:58 - 00:15:00 | Speaker 1:

And the best part, she was talking on air.

00:15:00 - 00:15:09 | Speaker 2:

AirPods, like on the phone. I'm like, she is overall acting so much younger than I am. I'm watching like the news on the screen and going two miles per hour.

00:15:09 - 00:15:13 | Speaker 4:

You look over at her thing and try to figure out what the level that she has it on.

00:15:13 - 00:15:29 | Speaker 2:

That's exactly what I was doing, Mike. I'm like, oh, she's at 2.5. I got to get up to three. Can you talk on the phone at the gym? So at Planet Fitness, there are signs everywhere that say you cannot. I was not at Planet Fitness yesterday and there was not a sign. I do. So she was.

00:15:29 - 00:16:00 | Speaker 4:

but she was yeah take away my ambassadorship yeah but i talk on the phone i talk on the phone but i can't talk when i'm on when i'm on the treadmill because it's not even so much about it it's me trying to actually like get my breath going it's like yeah i mean it is uh oh it's awful see that look at that because you made fun of that lady the lord just spilled your your drink right all over the control board as well oh my god see that You're making fun of old people. Don't make fun of old people.

00:16:00 - 00:16:04 | Speaker 2:

I wasn't making fun of her. I was saying she was rocking it and I needed to step up my game.

00:16:04 - 00:16:07 | Speaker 4:

That is geriatric shaming that you're doing right there.

00:16:07 - 00:16:08 | Speaker 2:

We're going to have a bad day.

00:16:08 - 00:16:09 | Speaker 6:

I just want you to know that.

00:16:10 - 00:16:15 | Speaker 3:

No, come on now. Old people be outside early in the day. I realized that yesterday when I left work.

00:16:15 - 00:16:18 | Speaker 4:

Yeah. You know what it is? They get up early because they can't sleep.

00:16:20 - 00:16:23 | Speaker 3:

I thought they were all retired. Like all the youths are at work.

00:16:23 - 00:16:26 | Speaker 4:

Yeah, well, they go to bed at like 6 o'clock at night or something. So that's kind of the thing.

00:16:26 - 00:16:30 | Speaker 5:

I think she's needed less sleep. Don't old people stay up late, too?

00:16:30 - 00:16:37 | Speaker 3:

I know. I don't know. My grandma, oh, she typically go to bed around here. Does she? Wow. She stays up that late, huh?

00:16:38 - 00:16:50 | Speaker 2:

I pass a senior facility on my way here, and they're all like one of those fancy ones, you know, on Telegraph. And when I pass it at, like, 5, all the lights are on in every single apartment. They're all up.

00:16:50 - 00:17:17 | Speaker 4:

I don't know about you guys, but it is a thing. If you guys go to one of the malls in any of our towns, Grand Rapids, Toledo, Detroit, they literally have mall walking club. I'm not joking. There's a group of people, and if anybody has ever witnessed these people, they're insane. They will walk right over you if you get in their way. But they usually do it before the stores open up.

00:17:17 - 00:17:20 | Speaker 2:

My mother outlaw is one of those, my ex-mother-in-law.

00:17:20 - 00:17:20 | Speaker 4:

Really?

00:17:20 - 00:17:22 | Speaker 3:

Yes. Is that the name of the group?

00:17:22 - 00:17:28 | Speaker 4:

No. That is a great name for a group. That's a great name for an ex-mother-in-law.

00:17:29 - 00:17:41 | Speaker 1:

Well, when I lived in the 55 and up community with Graham and Gramps, they had a club that went for walks. Yeah, they did. They would meet on Wednesday and by the pavilion, they'd have ice cream and then they'd go for a walk.

00:17:41 - 00:17:43 | Speaker 4:

They eat ice cream before they're walking?

00:17:43 - 00:17:48 | Speaker 1:

I love that. It depends on the day. Sometimes it's ice cream, sometimes it's, you know, pizza.

00:17:48 - 00:18:00 | Speaker 4:

Jell-O. Somebody needs to tell us if they know exactly where and when and how they do this. Because if they do a before 6 a.m., we should all go join them. You're out of your mind. No. Come on.

00:18:00 - 00:18:02 | Speaker 3:

I barely make you here on time.

00:18:02 - 00:18:12 | Speaker 4:

But if they do a thing where they do 5 a.m., could you imagine if we all showed up at 5 a.m. at the mall and we walked as a show? We could do our pre-show meeting together.

00:18:12 - 00:18:26 | Speaker 6:

This is where I'm a bitter Betty, though, because I'll go out for a walk downtown and be like, oh, my God, I'm killing it. and then I'll go see a group of, like, 15 runners, and I'm like, I'll get it for you. Go home in your perfect Lululemon bashing outfits and your skinny bodies.

00:18:27 - 00:18:50 | Speaker 4:

How do you think you joined the Mall Walker Club? Do you think you just walk up and just kind of join and just start walking with them? I think they have a card table set up at the front, Mike, and there's somebody there signing you up. Yeah. Like, I think that there's a person that's kind of, like, watching this and paying attention to make sure that you guys, that you're part of the group. Like, you're actually, you have to pay union dues or something like that.

00:18:51 - 00:18:52 | Speaker 6:

Oh, good choice.

00:19:08 - 00:19:11 | Speaker 1:

Oh, you know the whole song. You got the whole song now.

00:19:12 - 00:19:19 | Speaker 6:

That's my drunk song. If you get me drunk at a bar and that comes on, I will scream the entire thing. Really? Yes.

00:19:20 - 00:19:25 | Speaker 4:

Wow. I was looking. Are our text messages down? Because I'm trying to find our text messages.

00:19:25 - 00:19:31 | Speaker 3:

There's something wrong here every single day. Oh, here they go. How have y'all survived this long?

00:19:31 - 00:19:33 | Speaker 4:

You're also talking about old people, so I don't know if they're going to tell you.

00:19:36 - 00:19:37 | Speaker 3:

I'm trying to figure it out right now.

00:19:40 - 00:20:00 | Speaker 4:

Oh, no. Here's one. Here's one. 734 says Mojo you're absolutely right I was walking in 12 Oaks Mall and almost got run over by some of the old people that are walking and they're not always old that is true by the way occasionally you'll see like I don't know if they bring like a daughter or

00:20:00 - 00:20:13 | Speaker 5:

a son or something like that one what's up amy how you doing hi good morning guys how are you good uh have you witnessed the craziness of the mall walkers the mall walkers are the worst they

00:20:13 - 00:20:18 | Speaker 6:

are so serious about it and don't ever get in their way yeah it's like the mall was invented

00:20:18 - 00:20:23 | Speaker 5:

for them to go early and get their exercise in not for the fact that they're trying to actually

00:20:23 - 00:20:42 | Speaker 6:

sell things right and the workers are the intruders that have to get there to open their store do their job really amy do you work in the mall i used to yes and i think it's funny that the mall walker group sign up table is next to the girl scout selling cookie table oh my god

00:20:42 - 00:20:52 | Speaker 5:

it's a thing you have to sign up to do it it's a little counterproductive yeah you know what though that's great what mall was it that you worked in that you would see these mall walkers lakeside

00:20:52 - 00:20:57 | Speaker 6:

lakeside oh my god back in the day not any good anymore yeah no like honestly they should have

00:20:57 - 00:21:01 | Speaker 5:

kept it open just as a mall to do walking in, you know?

00:21:01 - 00:21:03 | Speaker 6:

Especially in the winter, right? Yeah.

00:21:04 - 00:21:07 | Speaker 5:

Mall walking training facilities. Seriously. Why not like roller skating?

00:21:07 - 00:21:15 | Speaker 7:

They have stairs and everything. Yeah, that's a great idea. Well, not for the old people, but I'm saying keep the mall open as like a cool roller rink.

00:21:15 - 00:21:19 | Speaker 5:

That's actually not a bad idea. Thank you. Hashtag Usher.

00:21:19 - 00:21:21 | Speaker 7:

Usher's wanting to participate, Ken.

00:21:21 - 00:21:25 | Speaker 5:

Usher's bringing back roller skating. Did you see that? What's up, Moosa?

00:21:26 - 00:21:28 | Speaker 2:

Good morning. How are you guys?

00:21:28 - 00:21:30 | Speaker 5:

We're fantastic, buddy. What's going on?

00:21:30 - 00:21:43 | Speaker 2:

Good. My grandpa used to just walk around Westland Mall just during their open hours. He wasn't part of like a mall walker's club or anything, but he would just go walk around because he was bored.

00:21:43 - 00:22:14 | Speaker 5:

Really? Long wolf. So, you know, I find myself doing that. I just joke with you guys all the time. I find myself that sometimes if we get out of here early, which some days it happens and you're like, holy crap, I'm out of here early and then you go, well, you know what, I'll just go to the mall and I'll go to the mall just to see what's going on and there's only so much you can do in a Helzberg Diamonds you know so you just kind of like walk around and kind of see what's happening but yeah, that's actually not a bad idea we should do it

00:22:14 - 00:22:20 | Speaker 2:

yeah, I mean, he was retired so he just went to the mall every day and walked around

00:22:20 - 00:22:30 | Speaker 5:

there you go, yeah, wait a second we should do it, I just said we should do it at 5 a.m. before the show. We're not doing it at 5 a.m. You want to do it right after the show? Yeah.

00:22:30 - 00:22:34 | Speaker 4:

Let's do it for a purpose, though. Let's get the little sign-up table. Let's have people come and...

00:22:34 - 00:22:55 | Speaker 5:

And have, like, a thing. I've said that I still want to do, because, you know, part of Megan's, you know, weight loss that she's had been so successful with is that she is getting more activity and more walks in. And so we talked about the idea that we were going to do the Megan Mile, where all of us are going to... Or Megan Marathon, or I don't know what we call it, but something with an M.

00:22:56 - 00:22:58 | Speaker 4:

I like the Megan Mile. We add a mile every year.

00:22:58 - 00:23:04 | Speaker 7:

I don't know why that sounds like the Green Mile, and I don't like it. It flies.

00:23:05 - 00:23:10 | Speaker 5:

It could be fun, and it could be done in a mall, sponsored by.

00:23:10 - 00:23:18 | Speaker 1:

Hey, to all the employees of other radio stations that religiously listen to 955, thanks for listening, guys. You made the right choice.

00:23:18 - 00:23:25 | Speaker 5:

All right, it is Mojo in the morning show. Megan, what is it that drives you nuts? Is this going to be a Megan Minute? Let's do a Megan Minute.

00:23:26 - 00:23:28 | Speaker 4:

Let's do a Megan Minute. Megan Minute, everybody.

00:23:29 - 00:23:34 | Speaker 5:

A Megan Minute. It's time. Are you ready?

00:23:34 - 00:23:35 | Speaker 7:

Yeah, I'm ready.

00:23:35 - 00:23:40 | Speaker 5:

60 seconds on the clock. Megan can say anything she wants. She's got free airwaves. It's a Megan Minute.

00:23:40 - 00:24:41 | Speaker 7:

Okay, I am so sick of these companies that at the checkout, as you're going through everything and you're paying at the very end, they're like, would you like to round up or donate to this cause? Number one, I've been on the board for a lot of local organizations, and every time we reach out to these companies to help us, they never help local charities. So that's my biggest gripe with this, right? It's like you'll do it, but you won't do it for the people in your own community. You only do it for the national ones. And number two, you're only asking me near Christmas time to round up because then I feel obligated to do good for others so that you don't have to pay your taxes. This is not about doing good. this is about you taking my money so that you as a corporation do not have to pay taxes and then you make me look bad not only in front of the customers in line behind me but also the cash register person and it makes me feel so uncomfortable that's a megan minute everybody there you go i do feel like it puts you in a bad position where like if you say yes you're helping this corporation not pay taxes but if you say no you're not helping charity and there's no right

00:24:41 - 00:24:54 | Speaker 3:

answer i'll be honest with you i've been saying no oh like way more than i've been saying yes because of this because we've talked about this the only place i will say yes and you should too and i really mean this is the imagine theater because it goes to breaking and entering christmas

00:24:54 - 00:24:59 | Speaker 7:

and really it does 100 of it but i feel differently about it going to local organizations right

00:25:00 - 00:25:01 | Speaker 5:

there is a huge difference there

00:25:01 - 00:25:24 | Speaker 3:

here's a question I don't mind it at the holidays I don't like it during the year I don't like it after that not that we just only give during the holidays but I agree that when you're doing it during the year everybody has it and I hate, first off, the worst is Chipotle Chipotle does this all the time Chipotle does it on the app you ever order on the app?

00:25:24 - 00:25:25 | Speaker 1:

I say no to everything

00:25:25 - 00:25:28 | Speaker 3:

terms and agreements on your Apple?

00:25:29 - 00:25:29 | Unknown:

Really?

00:25:29 - 00:25:31 | Speaker 3:

You say no to that? No, I'm sure.

00:25:31 - 00:25:39 | Speaker 1:

I mean, any time they ask me to round up, I hit no. And I have no qualms about it. You don't even look at the charity. You don't feel judged? Hell no.

00:25:39 - 00:25:43 | Speaker 5:

Judge me all you want. I'm hitting no. Let me ask you guys this. It took me a second to get there. I no longer feel judged.

00:25:43 - 00:25:47 | Speaker 3:

What about walking in and out of stores and having somebody selling stuff to you?

00:25:47 - 00:25:49 | Speaker 1:

I don't care about them kids and they M&Ms.

00:25:49 - 00:25:57 | Speaker 3:

I say I'm sorry, bro. I don't got it. Well, I cannot stop giving to the Salvation Army people, but I got to be honest, I don't have dollars in single and, you know.

00:25:57 - 00:25:59 | Speaker 1:

That's the thing. I don't have cash. I'm sorry.

00:25:59 - 00:26:10 | Speaker 3:

They always, and now they get you with the credit card thing, which I get. Okay. But if I make one donation, can I wear a sticker for the, like I voted sticker? You know what I mean? So that I'm not having.

00:26:10 - 00:26:16 | Speaker 5:

I just say, I say Merry Christmas or Happy Holidays, but say, like, I never have cash on me.

00:26:16 - 00:26:21 | Speaker 4:

I think I have a $2 bill in my wallet right now, and that's from the tooth fairy when I was like seven years old. And for some weird reason, I still carry it around.

00:26:21 - 00:26:54 | Speaker 3:

I wish they gave you, I wish they gave you a badge because no matter what, I know what happens. if somebody that's ringing the bell is there and they go oh isn't that the guy from the radio that guy's cheap and he doesn't do it so i always feel like i have to give something otherwise they're gonna look at me and honestly i'd like to have like my secret pass like where i said hey i gave it bushes or something you know um so you're not doing it out the goodness of your heart no i'm giving because of i don't want people to shame me i don't know by the way we've all

00:26:54 - 00:27:05 | Speaker 5:

worked in retail in here right like did you ever did you ever judge people when they didn't round up or give a donation i did yes because i didn't know that it was for the company's tax write-off

00:27:05 - 00:27:11 | Speaker 3:

so i would be like why don't you care about other people yeah 844 mojo live 844-665-6548 is our

00:27:11 - 00:27:24 | Speaker 7:

telephone number what's up barb hi hi um i just wanted to let you know the dick sporting goods They do donate to the local youth sports. Oh, that's good to know.

00:27:24 - 00:27:25 | Unknown:

Yeah.

00:27:25 - 00:27:45 | Speaker 7:

Yeah. So like in the Macomb County stores that collect to the Roundup, that goes to Macomb County youth underprivileged kids. Okay. I like it. Same thing with Oakland County stores. They only donate to the youth sports for the underprivileged in Macomb County.

00:27:45 - 00:27:49 | Speaker 3:

Yeah. That's nice to know. Thank you for telling us, Barb. What's up, Allison? Hi.

00:27:50 - 00:28:20 | Speaker 6:

Good morning. So, Megan, you got me hyped on this, okay? Because it drives me nuts every single time I go into a store. I work for education. And every time I go to Taco Bell, they ask me if I want to round up. And I always say, I'll round up if you give it to me so I can give it to my classroom. Like, we never see it. We never see it. I work in special education. And it's only December, and we've already run out of our funds.

00:28:20 - 00:28:24 | Speaker 3:

Oh, Jesus. Wow. Oh, man. Where are you at? What schools are you with?

00:28:25 - 00:28:28 | Speaker 6:

I cannot say, but I'm in the Rochester School District.

00:28:28 - 00:28:36 | Speaker 3:

Oh, we've got to try to see what we can do to help you. Let us know what we can do to help you and try to see if we can come through or something. What's up, Stacey? Hi.

00:28:37 - 00:28:54 | Speaker 8:

Hi. I've seen this on Instagram and heard that the companies actually donate to the charity one time a year. and then they're asking you if you want to donate to replenish their money that they've donated. That's kind of what Megan was saying.

00:28:55 - 00:28:55 | Speaker 2:

Yeah.

00:28:55 - 00:29:00 | Speaker 8:

Yes. Yeah. I know the valability to that, but.

00:29:00 - 00:29:03 | Speaker 2:

What's that? The valability? What did you say? Validity?

00:29:05 - 00:29:06 | Speaker 1:

I like valability.

00:29:06 - 00:29:07 | Speaker 2:

I love valability.

00:29:08 - 00:29:09 | Speaker 1:

It sounds like a flower.

00:29:09 - 00:29:09 | Speaker 2:

Valability.

00:29:10 - 00:29:16 | Speaker 1:

I'll take a bunch of valability, please. What's up, Kim? She ain't going to never call again. What's going on?

00:29:16 - 00:29:17 | Speaker 6:

Hi, how are you?

00:29:17 - 00:29:18 | Speaker 3:

Good. What's going on?

00:29:19 - 00:29:24 | Speaker 6:

Well, I wanted to let you know that the roundup for Ronald McDonald houses was 100% state local.

00:29:25 - 00:29:27 | Speaker 3:

To our local house?

00:29:27 - 00:29:28 | Speaker 6:

It is.

00:29:28 - 00:29:28 | Speaker 3:

Yeah.

00:29:28 - 00:29:38 | Speaker 7:

The Ronald McDonald houses, there's four in Michigan, and probably close to $800 to $8 million a year goes back to those Ronald McDonald houses.

00:29:38 - 00:29:39 | Speaker 5:

And they're incredible.

00:29:40 - 00:29:52 | Speaker 3:

Yeah. Yeah. Yeah, they do great things. Yeah. We've had a number of people that we know that their families have had to have their kids in Children's Hospital and then say at Ronald McDonald. What's going on, Evelyn?

00:29:53 - 00:29:55 | Speaker 7:

Good morning, you guys. Morning.

00:29:55 - 00:29:56 | Speaker 3:

What's up?

00:29:56 - 00:30:00 | Speaker 7:

What's up, Megan? I think every Monday you should have a Megan.

00:30:00 - 00:30:11 | Speaker 1:

minute monday okay because tell them it is around this time they always want you to roll up something or donate something only person i can say no to the kids interesting mm-hmm uh uh so

00:30:11 - 00:30:27 | Speaker 2:

i think if i if we took away the the tax benefit for these corporations right because it's a write off for them if we took that away i would round up all the time all the time yes all the time but

00:30:27 - 00:30:29 | Speaker 1:

Around this year, like, they push it on you.

00:30:29 - 00:30:29 | Speaker 2:

Yeah.

00:30:30 - 00:30:33 | Speaker 1:

It's about to be on my phone as soon as we get off. Round up.

00:30:33 - 00:30:34 | Speaker 4:

Round up. I know.

00:30:35 - 00:30:36 | Speaker 1:

We click on social media.

00:30:36 - 00:30:41 | Speaker 4:

I know. They're all listening to us. Billy, what's up? How's it going?

00:30:41 - 00:31:05 | Speaker 3:

Good. What's going on, Billy? You know, as a truck driver, you know, there's a lot of these truck stops, and they always ask me to round up. and it's some corporation that has been in there for the longest time that I always say no because it's just ridiculous. It's not just one time a year. It's all the time now.

00:31:06 - 00:31:15 | Speaker 4:

Man. So the truck stops do it. Do they ever donate to the lot lizards that are out there?

00:31:16 - 00:31:25 | Speaker 3:

We don't call them that. We call them recreational reptiles now. they upgraded their level they rebranded

00:31:25 - 00:31:28 | Speaker 2:

oh my god that was so funny

00:31:28 - 00:31:34 | Speaker 4:

Billy where is the best ones in your driving area like where are the best ones

00:31:34 - 00:31:39 | Speaker 3:

well I'm in Battle Creek right now so I mean

00:31:39 - 00:31:42 | Speaker 4:

not so bad just off 94 there what do you got the pilot over there

00:31:42 - 00:32:00 | Speaker 3:

yeah I mean they've actually calmed down really really great like you know it used to be really bad where you couldn't sleep at night you'd have a knock on your door now you can actually get somewhat of a sleep without somebody hitting you

00:32:00 - 00:32:03 | Speaker 4:

that's the next greatest thing wait what when they're knocking on the door what are they asking

00:32:03 - 00:32:09 | Speaker 2:

for are they wanting like uh is there a certain knock that they do so you know it's a lizard not

00:32:09 - 00:32:18 | Speaker 3:

well it's not like that knock three times that you know it's hey do you want me to clean your truck, do you want me to do something, you know?

00:32:18 - 00:32:21 | Speaker 2:

Oh, okay. So it's not just a scratching on the door late at night.

00:32:22 - 00:32:32 | Speaker 3:

Sorry, if I'm going to pay somebody, you better clean the truck, polish my rims, or do my logbook. I mean, other than that, I ain't going to pay you for nothing else.

00:32:35 - 00:32:39 | Speaker 4:

Alright, well thank you so much for being on with us, buddy. Appreciate ya.

00:32:40 - 00:32:43 | Speaker 3:

You too. You guys have a good morning. Merry Christmas.

00:32:43 - 00:32:45 | Speaker 4:

Alright, that was a Megan Minute.

00:32:46 - 00:32:49 | Speaker 1:

Merry Christmas from Mojo in the Morning. This is Mojo in the Morning.

00:32:49 - 00:32:56 | Speaker 4:

Cav is being used as an alibi. Yes. And it's something that you're actually recommending?

00:32:57 - 00:34:07 | Speaker 5:

Yes, I'm okay with it. I'm going through some things personally in my life. I've been going through things for a while and finally told my closest friends. I'm a person that keeps a lot of things to my chest. I don't like to tell, quote, unquote, my business. I also think that's how I was raised. Like, keep what's going on in the house. Are you doing okay? That's all I want to ask. um i have my days but yes i think overall i'm i'm good and i'll continue to be better but you know i have my days um but i told my best friends everything that's going on in my life and you know they are what best friends should be can we hear for you bro you should have been told us with you with you and so we've been outside a little bit but all of my friends are married so like the great husbands that they are they communicate to their partners hey now they're not saying this is what i'm doing but hey babe do you mind if we go out and after a few times it kind of gets to the point where you know the wife is like all right brad like once or twice like we got kids what's going on you can't go out every night so i tell them to use me and my situation as an alibi what do you mean like babe you know kev going through a lot of things right now i can't just leave him

00:34:07 - 00:34:14 | Speaker 2:

out there like this i need to be there for my brother so not even an alibi like a like as a

00:34:14 - 00:34:21 | Speaker 5:

exactly you use me use me i'm your alibi let's go have some fun say whatever you gotta say you

00:34:21 - 00:34:59 | Speaker 4:

know what's funny though i've had many friends go through uh you know personal issues anytime i had a guy friend go through a breakup or anything relationship wise i could never tell chelsea that they were doing it because then chelsea thought i'm going out with them he was outside to get his leftovers or something you know yeah so i'm surprised that your friends the married guys and the taking guys i'm surprised that their girls aren't like stay away from kevin because kevin's got some bad they love me really yes they want to make sure i'm good really so use me as the alibi so like

00:35:00 - 00:35:03 | Speaker 5:

Are you calling them with enough notice for them to break the news?

00:35:03 - 00:35:07 | Speaker 6:

Yeah, we had Woodbridge this Thursday doing karaoke again.

00:35:07 - 00:35:08 | Speaker 5:

Wait a second.

00:35:08 - 00:35:16 | Speaker 6:

You've done karaoke a couple of times and have not told us? I'm so lit off karaoke right now. I got my two songs already lined up and ready to go.

00:35:16 - 00:35:32 | Speaker 5:

Why am I not part of this guy group? I thought I was a guy friend of yours. You can come next week. Where's Gerard at? Gerard, are you listening? Gerard, if you're listening, I want to know why I haven't been invited. Gerard told me when we were golfing that I was one of the guys. Look, Gerard hasn't been out either.

00:35:33 - 00:35:35 | Speaker 6:

I didn't invite him either. What? I know, bro.

00:35:35 - 00:35:36 | Speaker 5:

Why not Gerard?

00:35:36 - 00:35:40 | Speaker 6:

I don't know. These are just my guys from the high school. Really? We in a group chat.

00:35:40 - 00:35:42 | Speaker 5:

Are they the guys that you can get crazy with?

00:35:42 - 00:35:44 | Speaker 6:

They was all at the party, too.

00:35:44 - 00:35:51 | Speaker 5:

Sometimes you get crazy friends, and sometimes you have the not crazy friends.

00:35:51 - 00:35:57 | Speaker 6:

Yeah, you got your groups. I'm the craziest one I feel like out of our friend group. I'm the most wildest, spontaneous type of guy.

00:35:57 - 00:36:03 | Speaker 1:

Have any of their significant others reached out to you to corroborate a story since you are the alibi?

00:36:04 - 00:36:08 | Speaker 6:

No, it's pretty safe over here. Really? You know what I mean? They're pretty like, okay.

00:36:08 - 00:36:15 | Speaker 1:

Not even that. I mean, like, before you even going out, like, is this true that he's out to support you?

00:36:15 - 00:36:18 | Speaker 6:

Or what's the real story? No, no, that'd be crazy. No.

00:36:19 - 00:36:26 | Speaker 5:

Are the girls that are of these guys, are the girls of these guys always, like, are they, like, sisters to you, too? Yeah, I've known them.

00:36:26 - 00:36:31 | Speaker 6:

These are guys that I've known since 2004. You know what I mean?

00:36:31 - 00:36:56 | Speaker 5:

I've known their wives for over 10 years. If I went to Chelsea and I said, Kev's going through something, and she knows. If I said to her, Kev needs me to go meet him at the bar, first off, she would never deny it. She would never say, no, you can't go. But she would definitely be like, oh, really? It would be one of those things. You trying to go to Ocean Prone at the bar on Thursdays? Thursday nights. Thursday night's the pick-up spot.

00:36:56 - 00:36:57 | Speaker 1:

I see what you did there.

00:36:58 - 00:37:01 | Speaker 5:

Not my Chelsea, but some other Chelsea here. I love your name. What's up, Chelsea?

00:37:02 - 00:37:37 | Speaker 2:

Hi, guys. What's going on? So I've done the same thing. I've had stuff going on. There's a specific good friend of mine in particular. I won't mention names because they listen and they know my voice. But all the time I used to tell her, her boyfriend was kind of a jerk, and I had a lot going on at the time, and I just told her, like, let him know I'm tripping, I'm freaking out, I'm having a bad day, or, you know, blah, blah, blah, and I let my friends do it all the time, I don't care, they're not doing anything wrong, they just need to get away from

00:37:37 - 00:37:44 | Speaker 5:

their jerk boyfriend. So they would call you specifically to put the call in for her?

00:37:45 - 00:38:05 | Speaker 2:

Yeah, and I don't answer the phone, like, and all their boyfriends, I married myself, but all of you know all my friends boyfriends like they have my phone number and stuff like that i just don't answer the phone we're out we're doing something i'm i didn't i didn't have my phone oops i left my phone at home my husband had my phone sorry um by the way it's always good

00:38:05 - 00:38:12 | Speaker 5:

to have a friend that's going through a through an emotional time and yeah perfect exactly then

00:38:12 - 00:38:20 | Speaker 2:

you can blame it all on them you know what i mean exactly that hey i don't care what their boyfriends think as long as my husband's happy with me i don't care about them exactly there

00:38:20 - 00:38:31 | Speaker 5:

you go that's the hence the reason why we're not in that relationship anymore right probably yeah hold on i'm calling chelsea to see what i see if she'll let me go out with kevin you think she'll

00:38:31 - 00:38:40 | Speaker 6:

let me go out with him yes i think so you think so you know what um what are you doing friday Hello.

00:38:40 - 00:38:41 | Speaker 5:

Chels.

00:38:41 - 00:38:42 | Speaker 3:

Yeah.

00:38:43 - 00:38:46 | Speaker 5:

You know how Cav's kind of going through something right now? Mm-hmm.

00:38:46 - 00:39:13 | Speaker 6:

Can I ask her? Go ahead. Chelsea, you know what's going on right now. Mm-hmm. And it's been tough, as you know. And we got to go to Toledo on Saturday. And Mojo's been so gracious in allowing us to ride with him. And I'm very appreciative of that. but on Friday we wanted to go to the strip club and I need Mojo to come with me for support.

00:39:16 - 00:39:24 | Speaker 4:

Okay. Hell yeah! Come on, she's full of that. That okay is not a... She just wants me out of the house. She just wants me out of the house.

00:39:25 - 00:39:29 | Speaker 3:

That is true. You can take them tonight, tomorrow.

00:39:31 - 00:39:37 | Speaker 5:

But you know what happens? I come home from the strip club. I get hornier than ever and all I do is, like, sit there and, like, hump your leg or something?

00:39:38 - 00:39:42 | Speaker 3:

Uh, no. No? You can sleep on the couch. I'll lock it away.

00:39:44 - 00:39:56 | Speaker 5:

By the way, Charles, at any time, and I've had a lot of friends that have gone through stuff, at any times, were there any friends that were my single friends that you would not like me to go out with? Because Kev's buddies are using him as their alibi to go out and have guys' nights.

00:39:58 - 00:40:09 | Speaker 3:

I think there was just one. who I didn't appreciate him sending you photos of the girls he was in bed with, like literally when he was in bed with them.

00:40:09 - 00:40:09 | Unknown:

Yeah.

00:40:10 - 00:40:16 | Speaker 3:

I just thought that that was inappropriate. But other than that, listen, you know, you need to be with your friends. I get it.

00:40:16 - 00:40:27 | Speaker 1:

Yeah. Don't be sending that stuff to the group chat. All right. I love you. I will talk to you later. I'm not going to the strip club, by the way. I can't go to strip clubs. You want to know I can't go to strip clubs?

00:40:28 - 00:40:31 | Speaker 3:

Kev, I'll go with you. Yeah, that's what I want.

00:40:31 - 00:40:38 | Speaker 1:

I can't go to strip clubs because the worst feeling in the world is when a stripper comes up to you and goes, I've been listening to you since I was in high school.

00:40:40 - 00:40:41 | Speaker 4:

Grade school.

00:40:41 - 00:40:44 | Speaker 1:

Yeah, grade school. It's like, yeah, thanks a lot. All right, I love you.

00:40:45 - 00:40:45 | Speaker 5:

Bye.

00:40:46 - 00:40:48 | Speaker 1:

Bye. What's going on, Whitney? How are you?

00:40:49 - 00:40:50 | Speaker 5:

Hey, how are you guys?

00:40:50 - 00:40:51 | Speaker 1:

We're all right. What's happening?

00:40:52 - 00:40:58 | Speaker 5:

My best friend lives two hours away. So if I ever need a weekend with no kids, I told my husband, she's a single mom. I got to go.

00:40:59 - 00:41:05 | Speaker 1:

Yeah, and are you usually truthful about it, or are you lying when you're doing that?

00:41:06 - 00:41:12 | Speaker 5:

Well, I mean, she has a single mom, so she always needs help. I love it. It's like, I'm not lying about that part.

00:41:12 - 00:41:16 | Speaker 1:

Right, right. But is it single mom, and I'm not with the kids at all? That's the thing.

00:41:18 - 00:41:19 | Speaker 5:

No, she has her kids usually.

00:41:20 - 00:41:29 | Speaker 1:

Oh, okay. All right. If she has her kids, then it's not that bad. If all of a sudden she's a single mom, and you guys are nowhere around kids, then I would be like, okay, there's something crazy.

00:41:29 - 00:41:31 | Speaker 5:

Nah, we wouldn't do that

00:41:31 - 00:41:33 | Speaker 1:

Alright, well now you can use Kevin as your alibi

00:41:33 - 00:41:37 | Speaker 5:

Oh, for sure I'll go for that

00:41:37 - 00:41:38 | Speaker 2:

First time, long time

00:41:38 - 00:41:40 | Speaker 5:

First time you don't deserve to be here

00:41:55 - 00:42:30 | Speaker 1:

We're out on location for breaking entering Christmas wish hi KP hi this is one that I think you are going to cry with and the reason I say that because the story alone is a tearjerker it's a story about two young guys both of them are right around 20 19 and 20 years old Michael Dean and Steven are two buddies they became friends because of the hardship that they had of their parents and uh do we have Donna there who is going to read this letter to them. Donna?

00:42:31 - 00:42:32 | Speaker 4:

Hello.

00:42:32 - 00:42:34 | Speaker 1:

Hi. How did you get to know these guys?

00:42:35 - 00:42:57 | Speaker 4:

I have had the pleasure of knowing them for their whole life since they were little. They've been friends since they were about four or five. I know both of their grandmas. Their grandmas worked together as retired teachers. So, well, they're retired teachers now, but I've known both families for a very, very long time, and we are very close. So it feels good to help these guys out.

00:42:57 - 00:43:13 | Speaker 1:

That's great. And their circumstances are very similar, but their circumstances could have led to them possibly going in that direction. They had parents that had some struggles, but instead they got together and they have overcome so many odds.

00:43:14 - 00:43:15 | Speaker 4:

Oh, yes, they have.

00:43:15 - 00:43:25 | Speaker 1:

All right. We're going to grant them a wish this morning. Will you guys hang out there? And then Lydia is going to make a phone call here and we're going to see. I don't know, who do you think will pick up the phone?

00:43:27 - 00:43:37 | Speaker 4:

I'm not sure which boy will, but I gave the number, so call, so one of them will definitely answer. It might be Steven. I think I gave his number.

00:43:37 - 00:43:47 | Speaker 1:

Okay, so let's see what happens here. They live together, and let's grant a Christmas wish this morning here on the Mojo in the Morning Show. Hello, Steven.

00:43:49 - 00:43:50 | Speaker 5:

Hello.

00:43:50 - 00:43:51 | Speaker 1:

Is it Steven or Michael?

00:43:52 - 00:43:54 | Speaker 5:

Uh, it's both of us.

00:43:54 - 00:43:58 | Speaker 1:

Both, Stephen and Michael. Hi, guys. It's Mojo from Mojo in the Morning Show.

00:43:58 - 00:43:58 | Speaker 5:

Good morning.

00:44:00 - 00:44:01 | Speaker 3:

Good morning.

00:44:01 - 00:44:31 | Speaker 1:

Good morning, guys. Hey, guys, I hate to, like, call this early in the morning because I know you guys are very, very busy, but our Mojo in the Morning Show got a letter from one of your biggest supporters ever for our breaking and entering Christmas wish program that told us that you guys are some amazing guys, that you have done some cool stuff in your lives. Can I have them read the letter to you? Yeah, go for it. Go ahead, Don.

00:44:31 - 00:44:59 | Speaker 3:

Dear Mojo in the morning, I want to tell you about two exceptional young men. This is not just a story about two young men in need. It's not just a story about survival. This is a story about a beautiful, lifelong friendship, a true friendship best friends my name is donna and i would like to introduce you to steven phillips and michael best steven grew up without his dad being

00:45:00 - 00:45:47 | Speaker 2:

there michael's dad sadly passed away the boys were both ultimately raised by their grandmothers the boys grew up without much and still don't have much to this day they both graduated from high school michael went on to enroll in college while steven found his job steven was even faced with homelessness they have endured countless odds stacked against them and so much heartache But they continue to push forward, work hard, and show kindness to others. These young men deserve a wonderful Christmas. They wouldn't have made it if they didn't have each other to lean on and get through the hard times together. Mojo, please help me make this holiday a memorable one for them. Sincerely, Donna.

00:45:48 - 00:45:51 | Speaker 3:

Wow. This is a beautiful story.

00:45:54 - 00:45:55 | Speaker 1:

Yeah. Yes.

00:45:55 - 00:46:07 | Speaker 3:

Thank goodness you had each other to get through everything that was thrown at you. It's a perfect example of chosen family. You chose each other.

00:46:08 - 00:46:11 | Speaker 2:

Oh, yeah, since day one. Until then.

00:46:13 - 00:46:32 | Speaker 1:

Guys, it's just amazing to me because I'm like crying just off of Donna's letter that she sent. And I can picture you two guys, just buds, always there for each other for life. That you'll be the best men in each other's weddings, you know. You'll be there for each other when you guys have your own families.

00:46:32 - 00:46:43 | Speaker 3:

I have to tell you, somebody sent us a picture of you guys. And you're maybe six or seven years old. Fast forward to now. And there you guys are together.

00:46:46 - 00:46:59 | Speaker 1:

It's pretty cool. Pretty cool. It's been a long run. Uh-oh, we got... We call it breaking and entering Christmas wish because we're breaking in this morning to bring Christmas.

00:46:59 - 00:47:13 | Speaker 2:

Hi, are you Grandma? Yeah. Are you Grandma Susie? What? Grandma Susie, we have a surprise for you. For me? For a lot of people. Yeah. Oh. Mojo, I've got Grandma Susie on the phone.

00:47:13 - 00:47:14 | Speaker 1:

Hey, Grandma, how are you?

00:47:14 - 00:47:15 | Speaker 2:

Hi, Grandma.

00:47:15 - 00:47:15 | Speaker 3:

Hi.

00:47:16 - 00:47:18 | Speaker 2:

What is going on? Hi.

00:47:18 - 00:47:43 | Speaker 1:

And Grandma, we've got, you know, Michael Dean and Steven with us, too. And KP, that's KP from the Mojo in the Morning show. And this is our Mojo in the Morning Break and Entering Christmas Wish. And these guys are some awesome dudes. And we wanted to make sure that they had an amazing Christmas. And that's why our Break and Entering Christmas Wish program has a bunch of people about to bring Christmas into your home.

00:47:44 - 00:47:47 | Speaker 2:

Oh, thank you. Thank you.

00:47:47 - 00:48:00 | Speaker 1:

Guys, how close are you to the door right now? Are the guys close? Yeah, we're kind of close. Go to the door. First off, I think you're going to like the girl that's at the door. Let me just say that to you. That's KP.

00:48:02 - 00:48:04 | Speaker 3:

Come on, guys.

00:48:05 - 00:48:06 | Speaker 1:

Go to the door and meet KP.

00:48:07 - 00:48:08 | Speaker 2:

They're coming.

00:48:08 - 00:48:18 | Speaker 1:

Are they coming? All right. I'm going to put this call, Stephen's phone on hold, so I'm going to use your just phone, KP. Go ahead, KP.

00:48:18 - 00:48:22 | Speaker 2:

There we go. We should have one phone now. All right, they're here.

00:48:23 - 00:48:24 | Speaker 1:

What's up, guys?

00:48:25 - 00:48:26 | Speaker 2:

What's up?

00:48:26 - 00:48:45 | Speaker 1:

Hey, we got a bunch of stuff for you guys for Christmas. We want to make sure that this one's a great Christmas. All right, thank you very much. We did some massive shopping. I mean, we did everything from making sure that you guys had all the cool stuff that every 20-year-old guy would want, TV with Roku,

00:48:45 - 00:48:51 | Speaker 3:

xbox systems nintendo switches everything you need for work we'll take care of your streaming

00:48:51 - 00:48:57 | Speaker 1:

services and things like that plus we wanted to make sure that you guys had everything that you

00:48:57 - 00:49:13 | Speaker 3:

would need as far as those going to work clothes yeah yep and by the way michael and steven we heard that you guys were saving up for a trip to cedar point you can use that money for something else because we're making that happen for you all expenses paid you guys are going to cedar point

00:49:13 - 00:49:47 | Speaker 1:

this summer can can i actually tell that story yeah the story is pretty awesome uh we ended up calling cedar point and we said to cedar point here's the the deal with breaking entering this is the two guys they thought you guys were such a model of what 20 year old guys should be so they're going to set you guys up with all the tickets all the fun fast passes and everything A stay at the Hotel Breakers, which is incredible. Plus, we'll give you some spending money that you guys can use while you're at Cedar Point when the weather gets finally warm.

00:49:48 - 00:49:56 | Speaker 2:

Grandmas are in shock right now, but grandmas are going to be more in shock when we tell them that we got them stuff, too. We got both of you guys' stuff.

00:49:57 - 00:49:58 | Speaker 1:

Yeah, we can't forget about you guys.

00:49:58 - 00:50:26 | Speaker 2:

You want to tell them that we got them? Yeah, we got a bunch of stuff for you guys. Everything that you guys will need to help feed these guys, because we know that you do a great job of doing that. All the cooking ware and things like that. We're going to also have Kroger stock the shelves that you guys have with fresh food, okay? Kroger's such a great partner with us. But I want to know, so Grandma Denise and Grandma Susie, you guys became great friends. And you're carrying it on to these guys.

00:50:28 - 00:50:44 | Speaker 3:

Oh, thank you. they're good guys yeah they are they've been buddies for a long time but what a testament to both of you because you raised these young men to be the people that they are today

00:50:44 - 00:50:50 | Speaker 1:

and that's all you guys and they really they really really are they've been through a few

00:50:50 - 00:50:56 | Speaker 3:

struggles yeah yeah they have but they got each other and that's the best thing that's a fact

00:50:56 - 00:52:01 | Speaker 1:

i want to talk to michael and steven can you guys hear me yeah hey guys my name is my name is kev and um obviously i'm a part of the mojo in the morning showing team and i read it in your story that both of you guys have had parents that were incarcerated and everybody's situation is different but my father was incarcerated when i was younger and for me that was a very lonely experience even though I have family, not everybody knew what I felt like. So to know that you have a brother right next to you has to be the most incredible thing to have someone that you can hug, that you can talk to, that understands what you're experiencing. And I heard a quote one time that said, the best wine is grown in the toughest soil. And with your grandmothers there, Your brother's there. The ground is tough, man. But you guys are those grapes. And you're growing. And I just want to say Merry Christmas, man. And I love y'all.

00:52:01 - 00:52:07 | Speaker 3:

I love that. God, that is beautiful. I love it. Thank you very much. I cannot go a day this week without crying. I know. I know.

00:52:08 - 00:52:26 | Speaker 2:

Actually, today was supposed to be the guys' days. And Kevin just made me cry, too. So, guys, you're a model for truly what this season is all about. And grandmas, you are too. Because you know what? Grandmas are the greatest people ever. There's no bad grandma.

00:52:27 - 00:52:27 | Speaker 3:

Right.

00:52:28 - 00:52:29 | Speaker 2:

And we love you guys.

00:52:30 - 00:52:34 | Speaker 3:

Are you looking to stop anymore? This looks like a birthday show.

00:52:34 - 00:52:35 | Speaker 2:

I still have two more grandkids.

00:52:36 - 00:52:39 | Speaker 3:

Wow. You're so cute. Yeah, I think I'm done.

00:52:40 - 00:52:44 | Speaker 2:

You guys are like the golden girls of Detroit, I think, aren't you?

00:52:45 - 00:52:48 | Speaker 3:

We even share the same birthday. Oh, my God.

00:52:49 - 00:52:55 | Speaker 2:

KP, let's get these guys a celebration, a Christmas celebration they've never had before. And let's enjoy this one.

00:52:55 - 00:53:02 | Speaker 3:

Let's do it. We'll do a Merry Christmas on one, two, three. One, two, three. Merry Christmas. Merry Christmas.

00:53:13 - 00:54:07 | Speaker 2:

Mojo in the Morning Show. can i ask parents to take a moment to pull children away from the radio please will you pull children away from the radio please that's all i ask because i just don't want and i'm going to talk in code and i'm going to ask everybody else to talk in code too okay wait for you guys to get that done all right pull you got kids away from the radio good All right. I got a topic that I wanted to bring up, but it's hard to bring it up on the radio because it just could get you into trouble, obviously, talking about it. But it's dealing with a family member of mine that is going through an issue. So my my nephew is got an issue going on right now that that we're dealing with.

00:54:07 - 00:54:30 | Speaker 3:

And I wanted to ask this question, how old is too old to believe in the magic of the season?

00:54:31 - 00:54:59 | Speaker 2:

And I throw this out there, and I actually Googled this because I wanted to see what the actual, you know, the Internet says about this stuff. And when I Googled it, I was like kind of still thinking this is interesting. But I have a nephew that is going to be in middle school next year. So he's in sixth grade right now. He'll be in fifth grade right now. He'll be in sixth grade next year.

00:55:00 - 00:55:02 | Speaker 3:

Because isn't that middle school, 6th, 7th, and 8th grade? Yep.

00:55:02 - 00:55:03 | Speaker 1:

Yeah.

00:55:03 - 00:55:09 | Speaker 3:

Which, how old are you when you're in 5th grade? If you're a 5th grader.

00:55:09 - 00:55:10 | Speaker 1:

So that's loose, 10.

00:55:10 - 00:55:11 | Speaker 3:

So 10 years old.

00:55:11 - 00:55:13 | Speaker 1:

Yep, 10, about to turn 11.

00:55:14 - 00:56:24 | Speaker 3:

And God love him, but he still believes in the magic of the season. Which I think is wonderful. I think it's cute. And he's not like me. See, I don't know if you guys know this. I believed in the magic of the season until I was like 15. And it was one year my dad. my mom died so my mom died when i was 14 so i carried it on until i was 15 knowing exactly what was going on but i did it just because i thought my dad would stop buying me christmas gifts you know what i mean because my mom was like the one that was the the gift giver in the family so i just lied and my dad one time said to my sister this kid's gonna get killed when he's in high school yeah he's going to high school and stuff so there we're trying to figure out like what do we do in the family and everybody like my sisters you know going crazy aunt pat's going aunt pat's like let him enjoy his life like aunt pat if it was up to aunt pat aunt pat as you know a a grown woman herself should still believe in the magic of the season because aunt pat first of all always right okay and second of all it's because she likes you that's right now i know but also here's how i

00:56:24 - 00:56:31 | Speaker 2:

feel about it kids have so little magic in their lives it's so little why would you rob them of

00:56:31 - 00:56:38 | Speaker 3:

this do they yeah i think so yeah the kids kids and kids are growing up so fast i will say kids

00:56:38 - 00:57:30 | Speaker 1:

are growing up fast they actually have a lot more magic because there's the elf on the shelf and there's you know the the boo basket fairy free porn there's free porn i saw elphaba on the shelf about yesterday real bad um but i think kids these days i totally get what you mean though you want to preserve that magic as long as you possibly can i'm like squeezing it out of mine right now um because i think i have one who is a hundred percent still in in fact i got a text this morning because our elves were got into a lot of trouble last night and so i i know i've got one the other one i'm not i don't i i i think she's on the you can google i know unfortunately google is not cool but everybody has access to google can i can i tell you though when they go

00:57:30 - 00:57:50 | Speaker 3:

into middle school they're going to start like having like relationships and things like that like these kids in middle school are like they're like effing each other and stuff like that i mean they're like doing crazy stuff they're like there's like when we were in middle school there wasn't a lot of uh it was a lot of over the pants stuff not under the thing that makes me so mad is

00:57:50 - 00:58:06 | Speaker 2:

if you're going to include kids on the new magic of the season at a certain point and you don't teach your kids that the old magic is still just as real and still just as secretive yeah that's

00:58:06 - 00:58:19 | Speaker 3:

not fair either i hate that when kids don't think so confused the kid on the buses the kid preserve it yeah preserve it right they gonna find out no i hate that mentality i am so grateful

00:58:19 - 00:58:47 | Speaker 2:

to my brother because i remember coming home from the school bus which is where it happened for me crying because of the magic and my brother was like that kid is the stupidest kid we've ever met in our entire life of course he's wrong yeah and my brother kept it alive for me for like and you believed you believed your brother yeah because i trusted my brother and i but he knew His magic responsibility was to keep my magic response, like, going.

00:58:47 - 00:58:50 | Speaker 3:

Okay, here's what they say online.

00:58:51 - 00:58:57 | Speaker 2:

Don't, no, don't. Can I say it? No, don't. Listen up, kids. No. Guess what? Get out of here. He did.

00:58:57 - 00:58:59 | Speaker 3:

He did it to Josiah.

00:58:59 - 00:59:00 | Speaker 2:

I know.

00:59:00 - 00:59:00 | Speaker 1:

That's what I said.

00:59:01 - 00:59:05 | Speaker 3:

Get out. I was not going to do it. He's being lazy dad. He didn't want to keep it going. He's late in the studio.

00:59:05 - 00:59:07 | Speaker 1:

I read today because you are the devil. You share that.

00:59:07 - 00:59:08 | Speaker 3:

Oh, my God.

00:59:08 - 00:59:12 | Speaker 2:

Do you remember that joint? Why would you steal that joy from someone?

00:59:12 - 00:59:23 | Speaker 3:

Here you go. A third of Americans think that children should stop believing in the magic of the season before they're 10. No. I think 10 or 11 should be the cutoff.

00:59:23 - 00:59:28 | Speaker 2:

Why? Why steal that? Listen to this, though. This gets even weirder.

00:59:29 - 00:59:50 | Speaker 3:

Some people, 4% of people think, though, that when a kid's four years of age, they should stop. That's sad. and there are others that say five six that seems still so young how about this one my favorite is one percent of people say that over the age of 14 one percent but also as an adult the holidays are

00:59:50 - 01:00:13 | Speaker 1:

more fun yeah when the magic is around oh that's what i was just gonna say as as a mom who has believers it's so so fun it's so fun and i'll I'll say, as someone that ruined the magic when Josiah was, I don't know how old he was, but he was way younger than 10. He had to be like six or seven. I would take that moment back and preserve the magic because it is special to see your child who still believes.

01:00:14 - 01:00:15 | Speaker 6:

What's going on, Elizabeth?

01:00:16 - 01:00:30 | Speaker 5:

Yeah, I am trying so hard with my eight-year-old, and it's so sad because there's so many kids telling him at school, and it's just it's dying and it hurts so bad because me is my youngest and we're just trying

01:00:30 - 01:00:35 | Speaker 6:

to hold on to it but i can't believe how mean some kids can be nice yeah the kids at school

01:00:35 - 01:00:55 | Speaker 5:

are jerks they're such jerks yeah they're brutal but i feel like a lot of kids i feel like my 10 year old dragged it on until he was like almost 12 13 i knew he knew but i didn't want to say anything so you can't just you know just keep it alive but you know they know you know

01:00:55 - 01:01:07 | Speaker 6:

yeah he kept it going because he had one big gift he wanted and he knew that mom was a cheapskate and she wasn't going to be vying it for him Alicia what's up hi

01:01:07 - 01:01:09 | Speaker 4:

hi good morning

01:01:09 - 01:01:10 | Speaker 6:

good morning what's going on

01:01:10 - 01:01:35 | Speaker 4:

okay so my son I've actually tried breaking the news to him so he's 10 why are you trying He's asking, I know, listen, listen. So I'm trying to tell him, and he's like, he's asking, okay? He's like, hey, listen, I've got, all my friends are telling me he's not real, he's not real. I'm like, okay, well, let's have that conversation. Are you ready? He goes, yeah. I said, Santa specifically.

01:01:35 - 01:01:38 | Speaker 6:

Ah, again, magic of the season, don't say the names and stuff.

01:01:39 - 01:02:03 | Speaker 4:

Oh, don't, I'm sorry, I must have missed that part. So, the magic of the season, well, that kind of plays into it, right? I said, the magic of the season, like, we keep it magical, and, you know, all these people play this part to make it, and he, like, no, he's not having it. Santa is real. Yes. He is. Yes. He thinks I'm, like, lying. Yes. Santa is real.

01:02:03 - 01:02:06 | Speaker 6:

Santa is real. The North Pole is real.

01:02:06 - 01:02:07 | Speaker 4:

He's into it. It is all real.

01:02:08 - 01:02:11 | Speaker 6:

I mean, yes. It's all real.

01:02:11 - 01:02:18 | Speaker 4:

It is all real. he's not having any type of talk in any other direction even though he asked

01:02:18 - 01:02:28 | Speaker 1:

I want to know like if you go to Kroger and you see a guy in a suit outside ringing the bell how do y'all have that conversation oh so that's

01:02:28 - 01:02:40 | Speaker 2:

why is he at Kroger we do don't you do real Santa we do real Santa fake Santa we're like oh that's like a help for Santa you can tell but then sometimes like at the Thanksgiving parade the other day

01:02:40 - 01:02:44 | Speaker 6:

oh that was real Santa Oh, my God. That guy was so good.

01:02:44 - 01:02:46 | Speaker 2:

How real Santa?

01:02:47 - 01:02:55 | Speaker 6:

Okay, people, tomorrow morning, 10 a.m., Santa's coming to town. Santa! Oh, my God! Santa here?

01:02:56 - 01:03:08 | Speaker 2:

I know him. I know him. But I saw, like, a drunk dude in a Santa suit trying to get on a lime scooter in Detroit the other day. And Smith was like, fake Santa.

01:03:08 - 01:03:12 | Speaker 3:

Bridget, what's up?

01:03:12 - 01:03:12 | Speaker 6:

Hi.

01:03:13 - 01:03:22 | Speaker 3:

Hi, good morning. How are you guys? We're good. What's going on? Jolly. Um, nothing. Just hanging out. You blowed his hair right now.

01:03:22 - 01:03:23 | Speaker 6:

What are you calling for?

01:03:25 - 01:04:01 | Speaker 3:

Um, so I remember back when I was a kid, when we had the cable boxes through Buckeye Cable. Oh, not calling out the cable boxes. Well, not just the cable boxes. There was just like, there was the cable box. They had the numbers, but then there was also the flip box, the A-B box. Yeah, baby. And you could turn it to 22B. I think it was 22B. And it was free porn. You got the Playboy channel. Where are we going with this? We're talking about Santa Claus. No, no, no, I love it. What are you calling for? No, earlier he was... You guys called me. Wait. I texted in earlier when I heard on...

01:04:01 - 01:04:02 | Speaker 6:

What did you text in?

01:04:02 - 01:04:09 | Speaker 3:

I listened through. About that. She texted. You said something about free porn. Oh, you guys get... Oh, my God.

01:04:09 - 01:04:11 | Speaker 6:

Lydia, Lydia, why are...

01:04:11 - 01:04:11 | Speaker 3:

No.

01:04:11 - 01:04:15 | Speaker 6:

Let her take... No. What I said was kids...

01:04:15 - 01:04:17 | Speaker 5:

You saw the comment and picked it up.

01:04:17 - 01:04:33 | Speaker 6:

I did not see that. I thought this... I thought she was calling up about the magic of the season. That is exactly what she was calling up. I said, these kids these days have nothing to complain about because they got free porn and we didn't get free porn. Of course, then Bridget called us.

01:04:33 - 01:04:41 | Speaker 3:

I texted and said how back when I was a kid. Question, question, question, Bridget.

01:04:41 - 01:04:43 | Speaker 6:

How stoned are you right now?

01:04:45 - 01:04:46 | Speaker 3:

Just a little.

01:04:49 - 01:04:53 | Speaker 6:

By the way, and you're a believer of the magic of the season too, right?

01:04:55 - 01:05:02 | Speaker 3:

Yeah, definitely. I love taking and going around and like putting little gifts on. people that are having hard times porches and stuff.

01:05:02 - 01:05:04 | Speaker 1:

Aww, see that? How great is you?

01:05:04 - 01:05:06 | Speaker 4:

I'm having a hard time. Can you leave me a joint?

01:05:08 - 01:05:19 | Speaker 1:

By the way, that is not a joint. That is mistletoe. We smoke mistletoe at this time of year. By the way, do we have that at the dispensary? Do they have Christmas blend and stuff? That's awesome.

01:05:20 - 01:05:20 | Speaker 3:

Probably.

01:05:22 - 01:05:29 | Speaker 1:

Can you take a picture with Santa Claus at a dispensary? You tell Smith that's a real Santa Claus.

01:05:30 - 01:05:35 | Speaker 4:

Catching cheaters and proud of it. Ow, I'm sorry. Get your home for War of the Roses on Mojo in the Morning.

01:05:36 - 01:05:37 | Speaker 1:

Melanie.

01:05:37 - 01:05:38 | Speaker 3:

Hello.

01:05:38 - 01:05:57 | Speaker 1:

Let me explain this to everybody here and the listeners. Melanie wants to know if her boyfriend is cheating and believes that she knows who the person is that he is cheating with. And she is on the phone with us also. Her name is Bella. Bella, are you there?

01:05:58 - 01:05:58 | Speaker 3:

Yes, I'm here.

01:05:58 - 01:06:29 | Speaker 1:

So Melanie and Bella are on the phone And Melanie you are dating a guy Who you went through some of his His social media DMs And noticed that he was talking to Bella And having conversations with Bella Yet you are in a relationship with him and you reached out and contacted Bella about that, right?

01:06:31 - 01:06:31 | Speaker 2:

Yes.

01:06:32 - 01:06:38 | Speaker 1:

And when you contacted her, she didn't believe that you were his girlfriend.

01:06:39 - 01:06:40 | Speaker 3:

Yeah.

01:06:41 - 01:06:43 | Speaker 1:

Bella, why did you not believe that?

01:06:45 - 01:06:47 | Speaker 3:

Because honestly, I just don't think you'd cheat on me.

01:06:48 - 01:06:51 | Speaker 2:

Okay, Melanie, how long have you and this guy been together?

01:06:52 - 01:06:53 | Speaker 3:

For over a year.

01:06:53 - 01:07:10 | Speaker 2:

And Bella, what about you? A couple months. Okay. Haven't you exchanged stories? Like, Bella, I feel like, you know, Melanie could give you stories that would make you believe that, yes, she is very much in a relationship with him and vice versa.

01:07:12 - 01:07:20 | Speaker 3:

I just can't believe that he would do this to me, though. So I just don't really think, like, I don't know what to believe here. Okay.

01:07:20 - 01:07:29 | Speaker 1:

I'm sure that, Melanie, you have proof other than just your word you probably have stuff in writing you've got probably pictures and all

01:07:29 - 01:07:37 | Speaker 3:

the rest of that stuff oh sure photos text messages emails all of it okay it's kind of wild to know

01:07:37 - 01:08:10 | Speaker 1:

that the person who is the person that's in the longer relationship is the one that believes that they're being cheated on but the person that is the newer person in the relationship doesn't believe her. Like, you know what I mean? Like, usually I would think that it would be the opposite of that, you know? Alright, so we're going to call him up to see where he's going to send a dozen free roses. And I want you guys both to do me a favor. If you can, mute your phones just so that we can make the phone call.

01:08:11 - 01:08:11 | Speaker 3:

Okay.

01:08:13 - 01:08:23 | Speaker 1:

Alright, we're calling up Spencer to see where he's going to send a dozen free roses. And honestly, I don't know who you want the roses to go to on this one?

01:08:23 - 01:08:24 | Speaker 2:

I'm really confused.

01:08:36 - 01:08:36 | Speaker 4:

Hello?

01:08:37 - 01:08:39 | Speaker 2:

Hi, I'm looking for Spencer.

01:08:41 - 01:08:42 | Speaker 4:

Yeah, this is him.

01:08:42 - 01:09:59 | Speaker 2:

Hi, Spencer. My name is Nicole, and I'm calling you from a new online floral company called rosesbloom.com. I'm actually calling with an offer for some free roses for you if you have like 30 seconds to answer two survey questions for me we're going to give you this dozen long-stemmed red roses and you can send them to the person of your choice anywhere in the country totally free to you i'm not going to ask you for any credit card info or anything like that we're just trying to get our name out there and we're hoping that you'll want to take part in this free offer um all right let's try it out okay spencer have you purchased flowers in the last six months no do you plan on purchasing flowers in the next six months no okay not a flower guy yet right yeah not really okay well as a thank you for participating in that survey like i said rosesbloom.com is going to give you that dozen long-stemmed red roses and so just you know they are going to be sent out today and i need to get some info from you about who these are going to starting with a first and a last name and they don't have to be local they can be anywhere okay okay so i need all right first go ahead

01:10:00 - 01:10:03 | Speaker 1:

You were asking who I'm going to send them to?

01:10:03 - 01:10:04 | Speaker 2:

Yep, first and last name.

01:10:05 - 01:10:07 | Speaker 1:

Okay, can you send them to Melanie?

01:10:10 - 01:10:58 | Speaker 2:

Okay. And what is Melanie's relationship to you? She's my girlfriend. Okay. And do you have a phone number for her? It's... And Spencer, we do something unique at rosesbloom.com. And instead of sending a paper card with the flowers, we record a digital voice memo. And that's going to be texted to Melanie when the flowers get delivered. So she'll be able to play that and know exactly who they're from. So just something short and sweet. It can be a little longer than what you would write on a card. Okay, I'm going to count you down and you can say whatever you want. Three. Two, one.

01:11:02 - 01:11:04 | Speaker 1:

You can... I love you.

01:11:06 - 01:11:35 | Speaker 2:

Do you want to do that again? Did you mess up? Sorry. Okay. And it can be longer than that, too. Okay. What was the... What should I say there? You could... So you can say whatever you want. Instead of sending a paper card, we do this. It's just... It's something different. You can say a little bit more. Yep, so she's going to get it. Via text, and she's going to play it when the flowers get delivered. Okay. Okay. I understand. Okay. Three, two, one.

01:11:38 - 01:11:42 | Speaker 1:

Hey, Melanie, I hope you enjoy the flowers. I love you so much. Spencer.

01:11:45 - 01:11:54 | Speaker 2:

Great. And, Spencer, I do have to let you also know that this call is being recorded for quality and training purposes. Are you okay with that? Yeah, it's fine. Okay.

01:11:54 - 01:13:51 | Speaker 1:

Spencer I'm going to come on the call and get some last minute information for you and then we'll let you go okay um okay first before we do anything I want to inform you of one last thing that while we have been talking to you and you've been sending the flowers to Melanie that Melanie heard that because she is on the phone with us right now. Spencer, this is the Mojo in the Morning Show. And Melanie called us up to see where you had sent a dozen free roses, and you sent them to her. Which is good, because she now knows that she's getting the flowers. Are you there, Spencer? Spencer? Spencer, it shows that you're still on the line. Yeah, I'm here. Spencer, Melanie is on the phone line. But also, Spencer, do you know somebody by the name of Bella? Spencer, do you know the Mojo in the Morning Show and you know what's about going on right now? Melanie and Bella?

01:13:54 - 01:13:54 | Speaker 2:

Yeah.

01:13:56 - 01:14:14 | Speaker 1:

So, Bella, Melanie's not telling you any kind of BS. Melanie's telling you the truth. So, they are in a relationship, and that's who he calls his girlfriend.

01:14:20 - 01:14:21 | Speaker 2:

Why would he send them to you, though?

01:14:23 - 01:14:25 | Speaker 1:

Because it's his girlfriend.

01:14:26 - 01:14:49 | Speaker 2:

My question to Melanie is, and I know he sent the flowers to you, but are you out at this point? Because you know that, and especially hearing Bella talk like this, that they've gone through so much and he's helped her through so much. Like, how are you feeling about this relationship? check i'm i'm

01:14:49 - 01:14:59 | Speaker 1:

i'm not happy but i'm glad that i was the person he thought of so clearly he still cares without me

01:15:00 - 01:15:02 | Speaker 2:

But you're not going to stay in a relationship with him?

01:15:04 - 01:15:09 | Speaker 5:

Probably not. Probably is not the most convincing term you could have used there.

01:15:09 - 01:15:34 | Speaker 2:

I don't think that, and by the way, we can't get him back on the phone. We've been trying to call him. I don't think that this is one of those situations, and I almost wish we would have done it as a three-way call because it would have been interesting to see how he talked to both of you guys. He didn't really say too much. he didn't say much but it would be interesting if he didn't think that we were here and on the phone i think that's once once i jumped on he got really quiet

01:15:34 - 01:15:42 | Speaker 1:

i mean i'm silence says a lot but i'm not truly convinced that he really knows bella is

01:15:42 - 01:15:47 | Speaker 2:

i don't know that he does oh so you think that the bella thing might not be it could be something

01:15:47 - 01:15:53 | Speaker 1:

but i'm just not like i don't have enough to say yeah he's definitely in another relationship with

01:15:53 - 01:16:04 | Speaker 2:

another woman like i just don't feel like but melanie's read the kind of the the dms between the two of them i don't know melanie would you doubt that their relationship was as close as

01:16:04 - 01:16:11 | Speaker 5:

bella says it is i think it's possible she's misunderstanding the situation

01:16:11 - 01:16:16 | Speaker 1:

have y'all met in real life or y'all just text him back and forth and dm and stuff

01:16:16 - 01:16:20 | Speaker 5:

no we've met i mean like we would see each other like once a week maybe

01:16:20 - 01:16:27 | Speaker 2:

all right hang on the phone okay this is the home of war of the roses

01:16:27 - 01:16:42 | Speaker 3:

call mojo in the morning 844 mojo live 844-665-6548

01:16:42 - 01:18:01 | Speaker 2:

mojo the morning war of the roses anybody that didn't hear what uh was said in the beginning um a i'll tell you the name so you kind of know who these people are girl named melanie dating a guy named spencer who we just called a second ago and he sent the flowers to melanie okay his girlfriend she had looked through his dms and saw that he was talking back and forth with a girl named bella that's the other girl that you just heard uh voices from just a little bit ago and melanie instead of confronting spencer about this other girl and who she is she reaches out to bella and says to bella i'm dating this guy you know you should know this then they talk to each other and say let's do the mojo in the morning war of the roses and let's see what's going on because bella doesn't believe that melanie is who she says she is does not believe that she's actually a girlfriend well just a moment ago you heard the war of the roses where we actually made the phone call and he sent it to and he said his girlfriend michelle you just heard that whole thing comment from you what are your thoughts on the war of the

01:18:01 - 01:18:26 | Speaker 5:

i did um good morning i was thinking like spencer went radio silent and instantly i thought he fellow was probably texting him like either what the hell or what you know um and that's and he was reading or trying to respond to the text because it was really bizarre he didn't even try to explain or defend himself or anything it was just like silence that's actually very

01:18:26 - 01:18:48 | Speaker 2:

interesting i never thought that and i want to go back and probably right and i want to listen back to it on podcast or maybe on replay and see the length of time was weird because he was on the phone line. We can tell when somebody's still on there because the phone line automatically will disconnect when that happens because we have a computerized phone line system. So that'd be interesting.

01:18:49 - 01:18:52 | Speaker 5:

The whole scene was weird and confusing to me.

01:18:52 - 01:19:09 | Speaker 2:

And the idea that she would be tipping him off saying, I can't believe you're doing this or whatever, saying who knows what. like she's got this thing still. I thought that the question, though, that was asked to Melanie of are you going to stick around through this, and she's like probably not, was also an interesting one, too. Sam, what's up?

01:19:10 - 01:19:16 | Speaker 3:

Yeah, not too much, but it sounds like he got them right where he needs them. He should set this game up, and he could probably lock

01:19:16 - 01:19:36 | Speaker 2:

both of them down. Well, listen, I don't know if that's what we're encouraging, but Sam, wow, boy. They're into it, I mean. I'll be honest with you, Bella, it seems like she is you know willing just to be with him and doesn't really care yeah she's definitely gonna stay yeah the girl that uh that is the mistress might be what he falls back on what's up amber

01:19:36 - 01:20:00 | Speaker 4:

hi good morning good morning i think um that kevin is on to something i think there's something sketchy about bella i think she's lying about something um and i'm not sure what it is i don't know if it's that she's like a stage five cleaner or she just likes to make

01:20:00 - 01:20:17 | Speaker 6:

mess in relationships but i think he's maybe making things bigger than what they are and trying to just get spencer in trouble yeah we we've had it before where the bella or the

01:20:17 - 01:20:43 | Speaker 2:

mistress or the girl that's cheating will contact the girlfriend or wife and say hey let's do this And we've had that. I was actually in and I think there is something weird with Bella. I do now after especially after that first caller says about the texting thing. It wouldn't surprise me. But there is something to the fact that you would be told I'm the girlfriend and this girl would be like, I don't believe that whole thing.

01:20:43 - 01:20:44 | Speaker 6:

Yeah.

01:20:44 - 01:20:53 | Speaker 2:

And but then there is also something in this could be, you know, they're in their 20s. Who knows? Yeah. But this could be whatever. But are you going to stick around? Probably not.

01:20:53 - 01:21:18 | Speaker 3:

You know what I mean? I think there's also a portion of it where we kind of give the guy flack for being silent. And I don't think everybody, for one, is comfortable being on the radio, comfortable having their business out on the radio, comfortable with the relationship being out on the radio. And sometimes I've been in situations where I've been accused of things more than once. And you just get to a point where you just shut down. Like, oh, my God, here we go again.

01:21:18 - 01:21:50 | Speaker 2:

Yeah. I don't even know what to say at this point. People are saying that his silence was him pleading the fifth, you know, kind of like in a court of law, not trying to incriminate himself. Honestly, he was probably smarter than, I mean, it could be nervousness on the radio or it could just be that he's just damn smart for being silent. Has anybody ever been, this is just to throw it out there, has anybody ever been contacted by the person who is either the girlfriend or the person that's fooling around? Yeah. Yeah, you're saying, yeah, like that's a call to take?

01:21:50 - 01:22:52 | Speaker 3:

I've had a situation. I was outside my boy Jontae crib. I was dealing with a girl. I don't remember if I knew she had a boyfriend or not. I probably didn't even care back then just to be 100 with you. But anyway, the boy calls me, and he's like, are you messing with my girlfriend? And I was just quiet. I'm like, he's like, come on, man, just man to man. He's like, I know you're doing your thing. I just need to know. like i'm just like bruh that's just not like but did you wait so did you know that i'm confused did you know that she had a boyfriend i didn't i don't remember to be honest with you i don't remember okay but i'm saying i probably didn't care either way uh-huh but i got a random phone call because i guess he got my number out of her phone somehow some way and called me okay i just need to know i know you're doing your thing i know but yeah i need to know what's going on i was like man that's just why not say no or yes because i don't i felt at the time i didn't owe him anything and why are you calling me you need to deal with her but i don't know

01:22:52 - 01:22:56 | Speaker 4:

why we need to have a conversation i had a girl reach out to me on instagram too what'd you tell

01:22:56 - 01:23:06 | Speaker 7:

her um everything and the guy was cheating so interesting between guys and girls like guys will be like none of your business girls will be like yes let me show you all because you know

01:23:06 - 01:23:17 | Speaker 4:

wasn't this recent kp no this was like three years ago now okay and the dude's actually engaged to this to a girl now so god bless her okay um people can change uh i don't know

01:23:17 - 01:23:38 | Speaker 6:

sarah what were you what'd you want to say i wanted to say that i think that bella believed melanie but because um she knew it would lead to like them breaking up she didn't say anything so that they could break up and she could just swoop in and keep dating him yeah get melanie

01:23:38 - 01:24:18 | Speaker 5:

out of the picture uh clara what's up hi first time call a long time what's happening um so i think i've been in a situation somewhat like this before and i just think bella's reaction was kind of it threw me off i'm gonna be honest because she basically got the entire truth put right in her face and it seemed like she still didn't believe it and that's kind of like a that seems like she might be under like kind of a spell i guess maybe like the honeymoon phase or something but if i was her i would believe it right away if i heard a phone call like that yeah sometimes you

01:24:18 - 01:24:28 | Speaker 2:

almost need a moment to react to it and that's why i think we need to get them back on the phone and get a uh an update from them on where they all are he could be feeding or something too and

01:24:28 - 01:24:40 | Speaker 1:

saying no that's crazy there's no way no way and like so she was already in advance ready for this because she thought that this isn't real because he's been telling me that she's been trying to do this forever and making up these stories.

01:24:40 - 01:24:48 | Speaker 2:

Well, and you wonder if maybe before we even made the phone call if he knew what was going to go on. What's going on, Rebecca?

01:24:49 - 01:24:49 | Speaker 6:

Hi.

01:24:49 - 01:24:50 | Speaker 2:

Hey.

01:24:51 - 01:25:29 | Speaker 6:

I was calling him because you asked if anybody has ever had this happen. I had an ex-boyfriend who still tries to contact me after 13 years, and he had... Thank you.

01:25:00 - 01:25:17 | Speaker 3:

the whole fiance and I have my own separate family and his fiance will still contact me asking me to come get him that we're together that she knows we're together and I've had to take out a restraining order against her she's a hobby that's wild though that she's so she's

01:25:17 - 01:25:22 | Speaker 4:

really going after you she needs to just leave that guy right I was in the hospital pregnant

01:25:22 - 01:25:28 | Speaker 3:

with my daughter and she thought that I was hooking up with them oh my god geez uh voice

01:25:28 - 01:25:36 | Speaker 4:

this guy's alias will call you Rena. What's up? Hey, oh, I got to push the button. I'm

01:25:36 - 01:26:09 | Speaker 2:

sorry. I didn't push the button. Go ahead. I actually had a situation about five years ago now where my husband was having a two year long affair and we were separated because he, because of the affair, wanted a divorce. And I suspected something was going on. And And after they had been together for about two years, she ended up reaching out to me on Facebook Messenger and told me everything that had been going on for the past two years.

01:26:10 - 01:26:12 | Speaker 4:

Were you happy that she reached out to you and told you?

01:26:13 - 01:26:32 | Speaker 2:

I was devastated at first. I was happy. And we stayed together. We're actually still married. We worked through everything. um but it was it was heartbreaking and i was crushed and devastated for a long time

01:26:32 - 01:26:36 | Speaker 4:

that he would do something like that to me are you actually cautious with him now

01:26:36 - 01:27:05 | Speaker 2:

uh yeah for sure and he is very very open and honest and you know communicates everything with me now so like i said it was it was a long long process of gaining that trust back and we're actually in a really good place now and we're probably stronger than we were before so it was kind of one of those situations where everything you know works out for the best but did you ever

01:27:05 - 01:27:18 | Speaker 4:

meet did you ever meet the mistress face-to-face have i met her face-to-face did you ever meet her face-to-face or was it just everything over the phone no i didn't i never met her face-to-face

01:27:18 - 01:27:27 | Speaker 2:

I talked on the phone a couple of times, and she has me blocked now, but that's fine. I don't need to have anything to do with her.

01:27:28 - 01:27:30 | Speaker 4:

Yeah, and he doesn't need to have anything to do with her.

01:27:30 - 01:27:51 | Speaker 1:

Runa, the exact same thing happened to me. She actually showed up to one of my station events. She won tickets just to show up to the event after she had reached out to me just to, like, talk to a person. Wow. And then she has me blocked now. but it always ends up like that because they want to talk to you to get the information and then they'll block you

01:27:51 - 01:28:05 | Speaker 4:

good luck if you think that your significant other is cheating text cheater 95500 it's war of the roses on mojo in the morning channel 955 104.5 SNX and 92.5 KISS FM

01:28:20 - 01:28:21 | Speaker 4:

All right, are you ready?

01:28:22 - 01:28:24 | Speaker 1:

You're listening to Mojo in the Morning.

01:28:24 - 01:28:25 | Speaker 4:

You're a doo-doo hack.

01:28:29 - 01:28:31 | Unknown:

Let's go. It's showtime.

01:28:32 - 01:28:58 | Speaker 4:

Mojo in the Morning, 104.5 SNX, 92.5 KISS FM, and Channel 955, the iHeartRadio app, and, of course, across the world. uh megan had a moment just happened to her actually it happened to her yesterday but i think it's one of those ones where it's probably going to happen to you a couple of times where uh being in and then this new building of ours caused you megan to walk in on somebody

01:28:58 - 01:29:19 | Speaker 5:

okay so in our last building and truly in every single iheart building that i have ever worked in the restrooms have been in a very particular order all the same which I think is very very interesting the men's restroom has always been on the left and the women's restroom the potter room

01:29:19 - 01:29:22 | Speaker 4:

hold on a second

01:29:22 - 01:29:22 | Speaker 5:

the lavatory

01:29:22 - 01:29:29 | Speaker 4:

are we going to talk about the property next? no the property the peculiar area

01:29:29 - 01:29:59 | Speaker 5:

has always been on the right yesterday was kind of crazy around here this transition has been a lot to juggle all at once and i thought i was going to pee my pants so i ran to the bathroom and just out of habit i knew where the bathrooms were and i decided you know the women's restroom is on the right until i opened up the door i saw men's shoes under the stall door and then saw a urinal and realized not the right bathroom oh boy not not the right

01:30:00 - 01:30:16 | Speaker 4:

bathroom even a little bit and i really gave myself away because that person wouldn't have known that i was a woman who just opened the door until i went quickly scurried away like a little rat that i am in my neighborhood and you need to use a toilet

01:30:16 - 01:31:03 | Speaker 2:

i'm your guy just a pitter-petter of feet in a different direction these bathrooms as we've talked about before are different because you can see the feet if you couldn't see the feet that would be awkward i don't know if anybody's had that happen to them where you've walked in Either way, if you walked into the wrong bathroom by accident and you don't know what to do, do you continue on? Because I've had that. I've been in the stall and then heard, click, click, click, click, click. And I'm like, that doesn't sound like heels on the floor. That doesn't sound like, I don't know how many guys that are wearing their Johnson Murphy shoes. And they sound click, click, click, click, click. Yeah. I don't know that reference. It's a mall store. I always walk by it and I always go, those look like nice shoes. You ever see that? You know what I see in the mall? Oh, Johnson Murphy. Isn't it Johnson Murphy? Isn't that what it's called? Is that what I think?

01:31:03 - 01:31:05 | Speaker 4:

I thought Oxford's were shirts.

01:31:05 - 01:31:08 | Speaker 2:

No, Oxford. They got some dress shoes. Yeah, they got some dress shoes, too.

01:31:08 - 01:31:10 | Speaker 4:

I thought those were penny loafers.

01:31:10 - 01:31:13 | Speaker 2:

So did we find out whose shoes or whose feet those were?

01:31:14 - 01:31:20 | Speaker 4:

No. Do you think I was like, I'd really like to bring this up with this person of the future that I walked into the wrong bathroom?

01:31:20 - 01:31:33 | Speaker 2:

I'm guessing it's got to either be one of these engineers, because there's a lot of them here right now. It's either one of them. For sure. It's Casey. Or it's Brent. He's in there a bunch. Brendan, it could be I don't know, a couple of these sales Yeah, let's do a foot check

01:31:33 - 01:31:36 | Speaker 1:

It's got to be that guy with the fish hat on Look at his shoes

01:31:36 - 01:31:38 | Speaker 2:

Those are big old boots

01:31:38 - 01:31:40 | Speaker 1:

Those look like Johnson and Murphy's

01:31:40 - 01:31:48 | Speaker 2:

So Megan, when you do the Did the guy Did he say anything or did you quickly Just run or get out of there

01:31:48 - 01:31:57 | Speaker 4:

All I heard was It was just a lot of human gruntal Noises Are you sure

01:31:57 - 01:31:59 | Speaker 2:

Maybe that wasn't happening before.

01:32:00 - 01:32:02 | Speaker 4:

No, I'm not sure.

01:32:02 - 01:32:08 | Speaker 2:

That had nothing to do with you. Bethany, Megan walked in on a dude in the bathroom. What's going on?

01:32:09 - 01:32:24 | Speaker 6:

Well, I started a new job probably a little over a month ago. And the way the bathrooms are, in one spot, the ones that I go to most of the time, the women's is on the right, the men's is on the left, in another spot. The other place I go, sometimes I don't want. Anyway, it doesn't matter where I go.

01:32:24 - 01:32:25 | Speaker 2:

Really? Okay.

01:32:26 - 01:32:29 | Speaker 6:

It's confusing. I'm literally opposite, and I always walk in the men's room.

01:32:30 - 01:32:54 | Speaker 2:

Yeah. Always. I'm telling you, you know when I do it all the time? At department stores in the mall. Yeah. Like, I always feel like Nordstrom's or Macy's, like you go into the wrong bathroom because you don't realize it. And then the thing is, a lot of times, you don't necessarily know the bathroom because the sign is so small that's on the door, or they have just the picture. You ever go to restaurants where they have the picture, but it goes, I've seen women that look like that.

01:32:54 - 01:32:59 | Speaker 4:

You know what I mean? I'm not trying to do it in, like, another language or, like, a fucking name. Their own name, though.

01:32:59 - 01:33:00 | Speaker 1:

I don't know.

01:33:00 - 01:33:04 | Speaker 4:

Why isn't there a universal standard, like, women's on the right, men's on the left?

01:33:04 - 01:33:15 | Speaker 1:

I don't know. But, like, this caller on the line, what's your name again? I'm sorry. Bethany. Bethany. One time you do it as a mistake. Twice, I'll give it to you. If you're doing it all the time, you're trying to see somebody.

01:33:16 - 01:33:29 | Speaker 4:

But she's at work, and in one place, they're one way. Bro, trust me, no one wants to see that. At work? Yeah, we're not like, oh, my God, can't wait to see what's in the urinal with my 30-year-old co-worker who i think about throat punching three times a day i can't wait to see his junk

01:33:29 - 01:33:37 | Speaker 2:

make a duty tell me i'm wrong dana what's up it's mojo in the morning hey good morning everyone

01:33:37 - 01:33:58 | Speaker 3:

good morning so um i was out downtown one time at the temple bar and i went to the bathroom it's coming back i came out of the stall and i looked and my husband was in the bathroom i said what are you doing and he looked at me and said no what are you doing this is the men's bathroom

01:33:58 - 01:34:05 | Speaker 2:

that's funny oh dude it was the wrong bathroom the whole time he didn't even realize it that's

01:34:05 - 01:35:00 | Speaker 5:

crazy what's up david hi oh hey so all right so i was on 75 and i work construction so i had to just stop at one of the stops at along 75 and um the way the bathrooms are in in this certain uh stop area uh it had a utility door that was open and it was blocking the wo of the women and so i walked right into the woman's bathroom nobody was in there at the moment nobody was in there at the moment and my first thought was wow why are there no urinals in here i sat down i started doing my thing and all of a sudden i hear ladies voices and i hear shoes clicking and then sit right next to me in the stall, and I instantly start thinking, why is there a woman in the guy's bathroom? And I fully thought about it, and I was like, oh my god, I walked into the wrong bathroom, and I'm sitting here freaking out.

01:35:00 - 01:35:23 | Speaker 6:

out thinking like oh my god i'm gonna walk out there's gonna be women in the bathroom i'm a pervert cops are gonna get called i'm screwed i am freaking out not knowing what to do the ladies i the ladies i hear him get up wash their hands walk out and i'm like dude i don't know what to do so luckily it was cold i don't know if this makes it worse or better so i just

01:35:23 - 01:35:40 | Speaker 4:

flipped my hoodie up much worse worse yeah you look i think i think you look like a creeper i didn't know what to do david i was i've been there done that i'm telling you it's the worst you don't the what last thing in the world you want is anybody to think that you were in there

01:35:40 - 01:35:52 | Speaker 6:

because you're trying to be a pervert looking at them no idea what to do i didn't look up at anybody in kind of the foyer and i just be lined out of there out to my truck and thank god i did

01:35:52 - 01:35:58 | Speaker 4:

Believe me, they got your license plate numbers. They're checking out you. What's happening? Taylor.

01:36:00 - 01:36:13 | Speaker 5:

Yeah, I just wanted to comment on the whole grunting aspect in the men's bathroom. I think most guys can attest to this. When you're in the stall, you want to make some kind of noise to announce your presence. That's true. And let other men know.

01:36:13 - 01:36:15 | Speaker 2:

Why a grunt, though? Why not a...

01:36:15 - 01:36:24 | Speaker 5:

Someone... Yeah, it's something. It's a snort. It's a grunt. Just to let someone know, like, hey, I'm in here. Yes.

01:36:25 - 01:36:48 | Speaker 3:

Okay, wait, I'm so glad you called about this because there are societal rules in women's restrooms, right? We talk about this all the time. You're not allowed to poop in a public restroom unless it is empty. So if you hear a girl in the bathroom who's not leaving, then it is your cue to do your business as fast as you can so you can leave to give that person privacy. I can't explain to you why it's the rule, but that is the rule, okay?

01:36:48 - 01:36:55 | Speaker 6:

I did not know that rule, sorry. Really? No, I'm not waiting for you to go number two. I've got to go number one.

01:36:55 - 01:37:01 | Speaker 2:

No, now you're waiting. You go quickly and exit the restaurant. I don't care.

01:37:02 - 01:37:11 | Speaker 3:

She's a long looper. I need some texts on this one. I've never heard a girl say that she's never heard of that rule before. But I, where was I going with this?

01:37:12 - 01:37:16 | Speaker 4:

I don't know. I had a point. Grunting. Grunting.

01:37:16 - 01:37:28 | Speaker 3:

Oh, why would you make yourself known in the men's restroom if you don't have any issues like pooping or doing any of that? You know what I mean? Like, I can see your feet. Why do you need to announce yourself?

01:37:28 - 01:37:40 | Speaker 4:

Because I think you don't want them to walk in on you in the stall, too. Because sometimes those stall doors, they don't always lock very good. Or you might have what happened with Megan's husband. What happened, Megan?

01:37:40 - 01:38:25 | Speaker 1:

um when we started dating we were going to a concert at dte and he started getting like the bubble guts on the way there so we stopped at the gas station right across from the palace and you know he runs in and i'm waiting in the car and i see this limo pull up with all these drunk women that were probably on the way to the same concert and i see this woman bolt out like so fast into the gas station well when my husband walks out he says you'll never believe what just happened he goes i'm in the stall in the men's room he goes there's several stalls in the room in the bathroom i'm pooping this woman bolts into the men's room and boots open my door she kicked

01:38:25 - 01:38:59 | Speaker 4:

his door in yeah she had to go bad yeah in the wrong room at that time was he standing up and wiping between the legs because that always has been my fear you don't stand up when you're white you don't wow i have to stand up and then i have to get my arm you do what toddlers do yeah i go between the legs people think that's weird some people go from behind i can't go from behind i gotta go between you don't take your trash through the front door is that bad yeah it's I'm going to get on your balls.

01:39:00 - 01:39:01 | Speaker 1:

I'm going to say when I'm speaking.

01:39:03 - 01:39:34 | Speaker 4:

Really? That's not how you... No, dog. You got to go through the back. Take trash out the back. Next topic. Mojo, the morning show. Phone number is 844-MOJO-LIVE, 844-665-6548. Listen for The War of the Roses, Bustin' Cheaters. Tuesdays and Thursdays on this radio program. so i want to hear the whole story i want to know who the naked person was was it you shannon oh my

01:39:34 - 01:39:50 | Speaker 2:

god yes um okay have you guys ever gone to take a shower and you're slightly embarrassing but you're like oh i think i have to poop first so don't you feel lucky when that happens honestly i love my

01:39:50 - 01:39:54 | Speaker 4:

life on this radio show have you ever had to come out of the shower because you had to poop but then

01:39:54 - 01:39:59 | Speaker 2:

Then I will go right back in the shower because you got to shower after you poop sometimes.

01:40:00 - 01:40:04 | Speaker 4:

on a toilet where it feels so dangerous that's disgusting it feels like you're gonna slip off

01:40:04 - 01:41:31 | Speaker 3:

and hit your head sorry but it's okay i was getting ready to take a shower and i was like oh i think i have to poop so i'm gonna i'm gonna poop well i was already naked so i sat down on the toilet and i am scrolling through my phone as most of us do and i get a facetime from one of my best friends in the whole entire world lindsey and her and i have the that relationship where it's like I don't care that I'm naked and pooping. I am going to answer this FaceTime because it's her. So I go to answer the FaceTime, and it is not my friend Lindsay. It is her seven-year-old Louie, who is calling to FaceTime Smith to show Smith the new electric scooter that he accidentally found that was supposed to be his birthday gift, and it was me, naked, on the toilet, pooping before my shower. yeah it was a not proud moment so what did the kid do did he see anything or i don't i when i as soon as i saw his cute little face i like obviously shifted and it wasn't like i was going to give lynn's a full view of everything going on either so i was already kind of up here you know in this space of my head but um he was like is smith there i thought he had this little raspy voice i found my birthday gift and i was like oh bud no it's just me he's at his dad's this week um and i'm like where's your mom and she's in the background i'm like linds i'm pooping

01:41:31 - 01:41:50 | Speaker 1:

no like imagine because in my mind if i'm holding my phone up on face time and i'm looking directly into the camera if a child pops up or something yeah you very quickly go like this see you went up my reaction was to go down like try to put the phone away so i knew just my head in the shot

01:41:50 - 01:41:51 | Speaker 3:

You know what I mean?

01:41:52 - 01:41:53 | Speaker 1:

By the way.

01:41:53 - 01:41:54 | Speaker 3:

That's a crime, Kev.

01:41:54 - 01:42:06 | Speaker 2:

I mean, it wasn't premeditated, though. But the amazing thing is, it doesn't, because this kid's a young kid at this age, it doesn't faze this kid.

01:42:06 - 01:42:10 | Speaker 3:

He wanted to tell Smith about his electric scooter.

01:42:10 - 01:42:16 | Speaker 2:

One day, though, he's going to find out that his friend's mommy almost saw it naked, taking a shower,

01:42:16 - 01:42:19 | Speaker 1:

and this kid's going to be like, oh, popping to his mind.

01:42:19 - 01:42:31 | Speaker 2:

Wait a second. Although, do you really want to see, like, somebody, and no offense, Shannon. Oh, wow. Day two. Do you really want to see somebody, like, would you want to see Shannon doodying?

01:42:31 - 01:42:42 | Speaker 1:

Why not? Doodying. I know. You're a true friend. Well, no, I'm saying, like, it's not like you're about to move your butt and show me what's inside the toilet, but if you're sitting there naked, if I show somebody who wants to see it.

01:42:42 - 01:42:46 | Speaker 4:

I don't care how much I love you. I don't need to see that look on your face if you're above, like, four years old.

01:42:46 - 01:42:50 | Speaker 1:

No. Yeah. She's not in the middle of forcing one out. But you don't know.

01:42:51 - 01:42:57 | Speaker 2:

If I told you, you could see Shannon and Megan naked, Kevin.

01:42:58 - 01:42:58 | Speaker 4:

Yeah.

01:42:58 - 01:43:00 | Speaker 2:

But it's while they're doing it.

01:43:00 - 01:43:02 | Speaker 4:

That was the only way I could do it?

01:43:02 - 01:43:03 | Speaker 2:

That's the only way.

01:43:03 - 01:43:05 | Speaker 4:

I could not picture me in a grosser situation.

01:43:06 - 01:43:08 | Speaker 2:

Would you want to see that?

01:43:08 - 01:43:09 | Speaker 4:

I got a poo!

01:43:11 - 01:43:26 | Speaker 2:

Before or after Savvy Slices? Yeah, exactly. What were you eating? Oh, my God. By the way, to rewind and go back to the getting in the shower, it sucks when you get in the

01:43:26 - 01:43:28 | Speaker 1:

shower and you're like, oh, or you thought you finished.

01:43:29 - 01:43:40 | Speaker 3:

I love, too, that she texted me after. She goes, feel 10 pounds lighter. Nothing better. Also, talk about a topic. Answer FaceTime pooping, thinking it's me to find seven-year-old Lou. Isn't that great? My friends know me so well.

01:43:40 - 01:43:43 | Speaker 2:

They helped you with a good topic. What's up, Heather? How you doing?

01:43:43 - 01:44:21 | Speaker 4:

Hey there. I'm from a long-time listener. Hey. Oh, Heather's on the phone. yeah so I heard the discussion about needing to go poop while you are in the shower or before whatever yeah and I had to bring this up I have made fun of my boyfriend multiple times because he thought this was completely normal he had to go number two while he was in the shower before and he decided to poop in his hand you didn't break up with him after learning that information you know Yeah, I questioned myself, but he did say that it was a lot more hefty than he expected.

01:44:22 - 01:44:28 | Speaker 2:

How far was the toilet? It couldn't have been that.

01:44:28 - 01:44:35 | Speaker 4:

Honestly, God, though, that just shows he has very poor reasoning skills in an emergency. Like, that's not the person you date.

01:44:35 - 01:44:38 | Speaker 2:

How old of a guy is this we're talking about?

01:44:38 - 01:44:39 | Speaker 4:

He's 38.

01:44:39 - 01:44:40 | Speaker 2:

Oh, my Lord.

01:44:42 - 01:44:43 | Speaker 4:

You got to rethink that.

01:44:43 - 01:44:51 | Speaker 2:

Heather, you just ruined this topic. Yeah, thank you for the call. Take care of yourself. Thank you. Bye.

01:44:51 - 01:44:59 | Speaker 4:

The best part of going to the company Christmas party is the dumb people in the office that need to find a new job the next day. This is Mojo in the Morning.

01:45:00 - 01:45:34 | Speaker 5:

back to mojo in the morning mojo in the morning show lydia has come in for this next topic here right now um speaking of our more mojo podcast that we talk about all the time the after show podcast something was brought up on this podcast that we never got a chance to discuss on the radio you might have heard a couple of weeks ago lydia discuss how she almost got married and actually literally had to have her dad step in to stop it what's the story lydia um okay so a couple years

01:45:34 - 01:45:51 | Speaker 1:

back i'm talking like when i was 21 22 ish um i was in a really serious relationship and um i was promised to this guy so when you're promised in the chaldean culture that means you introduce each other to your families you can post them on social media and you can get really serious with

01:45:51 - 01:45:59 | Speaker 5:

somebody and for those who don't know what a chaldean is we talk about them all the time but If you're outside of the Detroit area, they are an Iraqi Catholic.

01:46:00 - 01:46:42 | Speaker 1:

Yes. So he wanted to propose to me. And I knew this was coming because we had been promised for about a year and a half, two years at this point. And a thing that him and my dad would do is they would go out to breakfast together. And I knew at this certain breakfast that something was coming because he had been telling me he wanted to talk to my dad. And so I was prepared for it. And I told my dad before he was going out to breakfast with him that I felt like this proposal was coming and I don't think that I was ready for it. And I didn't think that this guy was my person. And so my dad ended up going to the breakfast and he did ask for my hand in marriage and my dad told him no.

01:46:42 - 01:46:45 | Speaker 3:

Wow. It's still such a crazy story. The whole thing.

01:46:46 - 01:46:46 | Speaker 1:

Yeah.

01:46:46 - 01:46:54 | Speaker 5:

Which if you didn't have the relationship that you have with your dad, would most dads do that for their daughters? or would they try to talk you into it?

01:46:54 - 01:47:00 | Speaker 1:

I think that they would just tell them to grow up, which is kind of a valid reason. Grow up and do it yourself.

01:47:00 - 01:47:26 | Speaker 3:

For people who didn't listen to the More Mojo podcast about this, and I don't remember what it's named. Is it called Lydia Was Promised or something? If you go back, the title is something to that nature. But is it your mom and your dad who picked out this guy for you to date in the first place? or was it was this you're like you met this guy on your own i met him through a cousin who was

01:47:26 - 01:47:43 | Speaker 1:

also dating his cousin so we had met through basically family in a sense um but it wasn't pre-arranged at all my parents are very open with whoever i want to be with or marry or eventually end up with it just so happened to be a chaldean thing and that's how we do things so it's

01:47:43 - 01:48:06 | Speaker 5:

interesting we wanted to bring this to the air because i wanted to ask listeners to participate and ask you the question, has that ever happened? Has anybody ever been promised to somebody and done this same tradition? Because I'm assuming this is a tradition that happens in your culture. But also, you know, how does this happen? Because I would like to promise Megan to Steve Gabara from Zod Ford.

01:48:07 - 01:48:18 | Speaker 1:

I think that you guys can do that. He's just going to take my dad out to breakfast first. Just so I'm clear, you just tried to auction me off as a bride? Why not? I thought you were a girl's girl. It's Steve Gabara. You'll be fine.

01:48:18 - 01:48:24 | Speaker 3:

But also fascinating to me is people who ask for the dad's blessing or whatever and are told no.

01:48:25 - 01:48:33 | Speaker 1:

Especially when he was close with my dad. So I think that was kind of a hard thing for my dad to do, which, I mean, he had to do it. It's daughter over boyfriend. Yeah.

01:48:33 - 01:48:49 | Speaker 4:

Are those situations within the community where you're promised and the promise is actually a guarantee? and say for example you don't really like the guy but your dad has already promised you do you have

01:48:49 - 01:49:09 | Speaker 1:

to go along with it i think it depends on the family i would say nowadays no but beforehand yes and that's why i think a lot of those engagements and marriages ended in divorce even now i'm seeing pre-arranged marriages with cousins who are now flash forward divorce after 20 to 30 years because they really didn't want to marry that person yeah what's happening uh hannah

01:49:09 - 01:49:43 | Speaker 2:

hi guys how are you good what's going on so we're albanian and not for me so much but my older sisters we would go to church on sundays and that would be like where the guys would look for women and they would make a comment or you know tell my dad and then they would say okay we want to send a man to come and look at your daughter at home so my dad was really close with us and he would say hey listen this so-and-so's interested you know do you guys want him to come and have a coffee and my sister would either say yes or no so it was never pressured but it was always like

01:49:43 - 01:49:48 | Speaker 5:

it was just crazy it's like can i be honest it almost seems like you're you know selling a car

01:49:48 - 01:49:59 | Speaker 2:

or something like that it seems is it awkward it is but at the same time at least they didn't pressure us like my dad gave us that choice of yes or no you know it's wild because i know that

01:49:59 - 01:50:29 | Speaker 5:

Thank you.

01:50:00 - 01:50:03 | Speaker 4:

you know, the Albanian community, like the Chaldean community, everybody seems to know

01:50:03 - 01:50:12 | Speaker 1:

each other too, right? Oh yeah. And then sometimes you have dads that are like, they don't give you that choice. You know, my uncle married off his daughter and she had no choice. Wait.

01:50:12 - 01:50:16 | Speaker 4:

So it was like, you mean that if she, she didn't want to get married, but your uncle

01:50:16 - 01:50:36 | Speaker 1:

made your cousin do this? Well, yeah. Like not, I feel like it's so bad saying that, but yeah, I guess, you know, like he, he told her like, he's a good family. He's a good man this will be a good life for you and you know she didn't fight her dad on it and they do they have a good life you know but you learn to love someone and i think that i don't know it's crazy

01:50:36 - 01:50:41 | Speaker 4:

but wow that is wild by the way there's a lot of people that do dating apps that wish that they

01:50:41 - 01:50:45 | Speaker 1:

had this they're probably like arrange a marriage for a we're gonna arrange a marriage for uh

01:50:45 - 01:51:19 | Speaker 4:

megan megan we're getting you girl i'm telling you who do you think who would be a good choice for megan i got to find her a good albanian guy oh megan megan or a good albanian girl oh look at that thank you for the call appreciate it take care of yourself um when when lydia was talking about this i i you know she told stories about this guy and why you didn't want to do it you want to tell the listeners a little bit about that like what was it that you said in that podcast which it is by the way shannon titled that lydia was promised he had really bad hygiene that was

01:51:19 - 01:51:44 | Speaker 2:

one of the big reasons like didn't brush his teeth and shower um didn't really change his clothes that often and the good morning text would have to be followed by hey did you brush your teeth hey did you shower this morning oh no isn't that crazy yeah and also his mom and i didn't get along like she was very protective over her sons and specifically this one because it was her oldest and i felt like that just wouldn't work for us because he was very much

01:51:44 - 01:51:54 | Speaker 3:

so a mama's boy it wouldn't have gone anywhere can you be protective over a man that you forgot to raise how to brush his teeth oh she would justify everything anything that he would do

01:51:54 - 01:52:02 | Speaker 2:

or what i would say she would justify it and say that i was wrong and if i were to marry into this family i would have to accept the way that he is and the way that they are question for you not

01:52:02 - 01:52:12 | Speaker 5:

it doesn't have to be specific to you um don't feel pressured make this more of a generic thing typically when girls are promised to guys are they virgins

01:52:12 - 01:52:29 | Speaker 2:

i don't think so okay i don't think all of them if you're promised at that point are you able to have sex or nope you have to wait until the day of the wedding well according to the families i

01:52:29 - 01:52:39 | Speaker 5:

mean but the girls and the guys do it anyway if you is it typical that you get re-promised like the promise didn't work this time do you get promised to somebody else or you can get re-promised

01:52:39 - 01:52:43 | Speaker 1:

because you'll you'll you'll eventually get re-promised if it's oh yeah if it's a chaldean

01:52:43 - 01:53:10 | Speaker 2:

man that you start dating there's chaldeans listening i will for sure be having a tenefa what is that what is it tenefa is the promising so the mom and the dad and that come to the girl's house like the bride's house to be and they shower her with like you know gold or money or flowers like whatever it is so this is not a handmaid's tale ish right and you can get a ring or you can't I mean, I got a ring. We didn't do a crazy Tenetha. Like, we weren't in dresses and stuff. It was just, like, a brunch that we had at my house.

01:53:10 - 01:53:12 | Speaker 4:

Can you invite friends? Like, would we be invited to something like that?

01:53:12 - 01:53:18 | Speaker 2:

You can for sure come. Does he get the ring back? Really? He didn't get the ring back. No, I just tossed it. Oh.

01:53:19 - 01:53:20 | Speaker 3:

Do you find that there's a shift in the culture at all?

01:53:21 - 01:53:22 | Speaker 2:

Yeah. Oh, for sure.

01:53:22 - 01:53:37 | Speaker 3:

Do you think that, like, it is progressing towards more of a... People having relations before marriage or whatever. Like, do you think that's actually happening? Most definitely. Or what about Chaldeans marrying outside of the culture?

01:53:37 - 01:53:46 | Speaker 2:

I love that because that's happening a lot more, too. And I love that people are allowed to love who they love more so now than ever in our culture.

01:53:46 - 01:53:53 | Speaker 5:

I love that for us because there's some fine-ass Chaldeans out here. Do you think they're like... Open the dam, bro.

01:53:53 - 01:53:54 | Speaker 3:

It's becoming...

01:53:54 - 01:53:55 | Speaker 5:

The water flow.

01:53:55 - 01:54:04 | Speaker 3:

Do you think it's becoming more like we're dating, I want to get engaged, I'll ask, then I'll be promised, then we'll get engaged, yada, yada, yada, versus the arrangement? Or are those still pretty common?

01:54:05 - 01:54:07 | Speaker 2:

I don't think arranged marriages are as common as they were before.

01:54:09 - 01:54:35 | Speaker 4:

By the way, I just think that this is interesting because of the process of dating sucks so bad. Like, if you look at this, like, I know it sounds weird to say this, but when I hear the miserable people that are out there on these dating apps, I'm like going, well, who knows you better than your parents? like before in the past i would think that this was so archaic and crazy now i'd go this would

01:54:35 - 01:54:59 | Speaker 3:

be like so much nicer oh my god no it depends on your parents that is so specific to your parents would be fantastic picking at your absolutely no i love that man he has the best father in the entire world i no no nicole what's up hey how are you good what's going on um i just wanted to call and say that I'm 43 years old and still.

01:55:00 - 01:55:35 | Speaker 5:

the black sheep in my family because i refused to sign the contract that all of my sisters cousins friends everyone signed uh with their dad basically saying that they wouldn't date anyone that didn't come to him first um if anyone ever showed an interest they had to go and after that just to date um and then once you were like entered into that well they called it courtship um you were basically kind of promised to be engaged or married or whatever like the

01:55:35 - 01:55:53 | Speaker 4:

yeah yeah do you is there a stigma for being unmarried still is there a stigma in the culture for being unmarried still um yeah i would say i think probably the biggest problem is that

01:55:53 - 01:56:01 | Speaker 5:

for the most part women are raised to be married and to have a family so if that doesn't happen

01:56:01 - 01:56:19 | Speaker 1:

what else do you do with your life well and then the people i've noticed this with my chaldean friends if there's a woman who's not married and she's you know in her 40s people look at you like oh what was she doing or what was going on and honestly it's very very sad that people do that

01:56:19 - 01:56:21 | Speaker 3:

I think I'm getting into that right now.

01:56:21 - 01:56:24 | Speaker 1:

What you mean? Why? Because you're only 20? I'm 26. 26.

01:56:24 - 01:56:30 | Speaker 3:

But all my cousins who are younger than 26, except for one or two, have found their person and are engaged or married.

01:56:30 - 01:56:46 | Speaker 5:

Please do not rush that. It took me the longest. I didn't get married until I was almost 30. And it was everybody else was married in their early 20s. And I was thinking, oh, no, what did I do? I made the right choice.

01:56:46 - 01:57:09 | Speaker 1:

one of our sales reps who's single just sent me a text message and says someone needs to promise me already we should do by the way we should do a ceremony and we'll promise Lydia to one of our Chaldean guy listeners a tenetha we'll do a tenetha

01:57:09 - 01:57:16 | Speaker 3:

only if you do that one sound that you do I've already tried to

01:57:16 - 01:57:27 | Speaker 1:

promise you to uh my uh luke one of luke and my buddy's noble but uh he's got a girlfriend so unfortunately well or fortunately she ain't lady she ain't lady i know right you want to know what

01:57:27 - 01:57:35 | Speaker 4:

i'm getting for christmas fat i'm getting fat merry christmas from mojo in the morning all right it

01:57:35 - 01:58:57 | Speaker 1:

is the mojo in the morning show phone number is 844 mojo live 844-665-6548 tell me how i should interpret this so i got contacted uh just the other day by a friend of mine who invited chelsea and i to her wedding which is this weekend now she didn't just decide she was getting married this weekend she had had this plan for some time and i got a text from her less than a week before the wedding saying, oh, my God, I was looking over my RSVP list for my wedding and realized I totally forgot to send you guys an invitation. This is so embarrassing, but I wanted you to know that I'm getting married and I would love for you and Chelsea to be at the wedding. Now, the wedding is nearby. It's very close to the house, so not too bad. We don't necessarily have any plans scheduled, although sometimes no plans are the best plans. And I really do like this person, and Chelsea does too. Like, we're genuinely happy for her and for her future husband. But come on. Somebody tell me that I really wasn't left off the list or we weren't left off the list.

01:58:58 - 01:58:59 | Speaker 2:

How close are you to this person?

01:59:00 - 01:59:13 | Speaker 1:

I would say we're close. I mean, not close enough where we get together on a regular basis. But I definitely talked to this person, I don't know, half a dozen times a year. You were probably afterthought.

01:59:14 - 01:59:22 | Speaker 4:

You absolutely were. They got the RSVPs, realized they had more room, and then said, you know who we should invite?

01:59:23 - 01:59:25 | Speaker 1:

Yeah. Let's put these guys on the list.

01:59:25 - 01:59:47 | Speaker 2:

So Wes and I had that wedding party a couple of months ago. And once the RSVPs came in and there were extra, quote unquote, spots because we had a capacity, Wes was like, oh, I kind of want to invite this person and this person. I'm like, you can't do that. You can't do that because it's so glaringly obvious that then they were an afterthought. Yeah, you can't do it.

01:59:47 - 02:00:00 | Speaker 1:

This reminded me of when I was in school and I got chosen to not make the varsity team, but I was put on the junior varsity team. And the good kids.

02:00:00 - 02:00:05 | Speaker 4:

couldn't make a game so guess who got to suit up you know that's kind of what i felt like you have

02:00:05 - 02:00:10 | Speaker 5:

so much potential for varsity next year so we wanted to push you on jv they needed a body

02:00:10 - 02:00:30 | Speaker 1:

to practice against right although i will say there was one person that i did truly space and forget to invite and i wished that i would have invited her um and so i want to give this person the benefit of the doubt and just hope that they had an holy crap moment but it's still is sometimes

02:00:30 - 02:00:44 | Speaker 3:

is it premeditated like if you have let's just say use a quick number 50 you have 50 spots do you have a extra 10 in mind list or you just randomly think of people if the 50 can't make it i think

02:00:44 - 02:01:08 | Speaker 4:

that when we got married i think we had at our wedding maybe a hundred and like 50 people okay And I think it was immediate family first, and then it was all of the others, like the friends and the coworkers, I think were the last even on the list that went. Because we wanted to make sure that, you know, and Chelsea's mom and dad were paying for it, and they don't have a ton of money to be, you know, adding a whole bunch of the people to the list.

02:01:08 - 02:01:09 | Speaker 5:

Wow, thanks for the invite.

02:01:10 - 02:02:02 | Speaker 4:

But we would have loved to have had your gift. I did get, by the way, a great gift from my boss, and he didn't show up at the wedding. you always invite the boss because you know they'll get you a good gift and they don't ever come to the wedding so they don't care about it but real quick i want to solicit for something because i want to look for this as a direction who is the most important person that you forgot to invite to your wedding because i do want to know if there's anybody that has had it happen where they forgot to actually give an invite to somebody like like a grandma or something you know 844 mojo live the secondary calls i want to get your thoughts on this do you guys think you know it's just an afterthought because i think it's kind of an afterthought and then um thirdly on the list do you think that it is rude to do this because i agree with shannon yeah like i i think i think doing that it would be rude yeah to all of a sudden you know do that like even this person

02:02:02 - 02:02:19 | Speaker 1:

that i'm speaking of that i was like oh i really truly wanted her to be there by the time i realized it i'm like i i can't at this point invite her yeah because it would it would look like this Like, she would be saying the same thing, and I would almost rather just say, we kept it small, right.

02:02:20 - 02:02:23 | Speaker 4:

Yeah. Yeah. Because it really does. I'll be honest with you.

02:02:24 - 02:02:25 | Speaker 1:

I think it looks worse.

02:02:25 - 02:02:43 | Speaker 4:

Even bringing this up on the air, I hope it doesn't make them feel bad, because Chelsea and I are, and Chelsea and I may just go, yeah. Like I said, I don't know what we're going to do. So are you going to go? I have no idea. We're contemplating it, because we have the party the night before, so it's like, probably not. Grace. Hi, Grace.

02:02:44 - 02:03:06 | Speaker 5:

Good morning. This girl's not being honest. I have a good friend that has seven children, and we were on the B list for every single one of them. And she explained to us, they both have big families, and she said, I really want you to come, but I said, put us on the B list. So I kind of came up with the idea. We always got the invitation a couple days before or the night before.

02:03:07 - 02:03:11 | Speaker 4:

Yeah. The night before. Yeah.

02:03:11 - 02:03:17 | Speaker 5:

Why not? You want a free meal, good booze, good company? Why not go? I'm with you.

02:03:17 - 02:03:32 | Speaker 4:

You know what's interesting with that? I wonder if this happens more than just weddings. Like, what do you do if a friend says, hey, we're getting a bunch of people together tomorrow night or in 10 minutes. Do you want to come over? And then you find out all these other people got invited well ahead of time. What's up, David?

02:03:34 - 02:03:34 | Speaker 5:

Hey, what's up?

02:03:35 - 02:03:35 | Speaker 4:

How are you, buddy?

02:03:35 - 02:03:39 | Speaker 5:

First time in the morning. Yeah! David's on the phone!

02:03:39 - 02:03:49 | Speaker 4:

David says that there's a name for what Chelsea and I will be if we go to this wedding. What is that, David? We'll be seat fillers? Is that what you said?

02:03:49 - 02:04:03 | Speaker 2:

Oh, seat fillers. There you go. Yes. Isn't that what you said? Yeah. No, I think that was somebody else. Oh, okay. You weren't forgotten about. I think the RSVPs came back, and they didn't have enough seats to fill. So seat fillers, yeah.

02:04:03 - 02:04:19 | Speaker 4:

Oh, okay. Okay, there you go. Well, I think Lydia said that you were going to say that. No, you're right. They don't have enough seats. Is it more embarrassing to have empty seats at a wedding or just remove some of the tables that are there or make the tables a little bit?

02:04:19 - 02:04:48 | Speaker 1:

I went to a wedding one time, and it was for a pretty close family member. And I would say it was so sad. And this is no exaggeration. Maybe 35%, 40% of the seats were empty. Wow. Oh, wow. That's crazy. I don't know if they didn't. i can't remember if they didn't do an rsvp which i think they did or just people were no shows but it was i felt horrible i felt horrible it was so weird to see jill what's up hi mojo i'm just

02:04:48 - 02:05:06 | Speaker 5:

thinking you know she should have been smarter and said hey we haven't gotten your rsb back what's going on oh that would have been a great way yeah like that would have been the perfect oh Oh, so good. Blame it on the United States Postal Service. That's so smart, Jill.

02:05:07 - 02:05:08 | Speaker 4:

Yes, yes. You guys have a great day.

02:05:09 - 02:05:10 | Speaker 3:

You too. What's up, Heather? Hi.

02:05:11 - 02:05:20 | Speaker 4:

Hi. Good morning, everyone. Good morning. I hate to tell you this, Mojo, but you were invited because they had to hit their minimum.

02:05:21 - 02:05:22 | Speaker 3:

Oh, that's, yeah.

02:05:22 - 02:05:36 | Speaker 4:

So they were going to have to spend the money anyway if they committed to the venue that they were going to pay for 150 people. and they fell below that, they're going to have to pay for it anyways. So why would they just be paying for an empty plate if they wanted to fill it?

02:05:37 - 02:05:41 | Speaker 5:

To save themselves the embarrassment of this situation that's happening right now.

02:05:41 - 02:05:48 | Speaker 3:

If you have a party or get married and you're having it at a venue and they tell you you have to pay for all the plates, can you just ask them for a to-go box with everything?

02:05:49 - 02:05:59 | Speaker 5:

Wrap this up. I would. Yeah, you probably could. Yeah. Do you like the venue where they're having it and is it an open bar? Because in that case, if you don't have plans, go for a drink. It's not far.

02:06:00 - 02:06:01 | Speaker 3:

It's actually not that far.

02:06:01 - 02:06:01 | Speaker 5:

Go for a drink or two.

02:06:01 - 02:06:08 | Speaker 3:

Yeah, that's actually not a bad idea. Honestly, that would be a more fun wedding. Just show up at a time just to go having drinks.

02:06:08 - 02:06:31 | Speaker 5:

So you know this person that did this to me. I got invited to a wedding like halfway through. The wedding had already happened. The dinner had already happened. And a guy who I was like kind of sort of dating at the time was like, Hey, I'm right down the street. The wedding was at the Townsend. I'm right down the street. Like get in your car and come over. I threw on a dress. I threw on some makeup. I was in my pajamas. I had the best night ever. It was so fun. It was so, so fun.

02:06:31 - 02:06:36 | Speaker 3:

That actually sounds not bad. What if you just showed up in the clothes that you were wearing when you were sitting on the couch?

02:06:36 - 02:06:49 | Speaker 5:

That would not have been like a jingle ball. But it was a great time. If I was surprised and somebody showed up in pajamas like after dinner and after everything else, I would be like, hell yeah, let's party.

02:06:50 - 02:07:07 | Speaker 3:

By the way, somebody did say that they forgot to invite their immediate family to the wedding. They didn't know that they had to do that. I'm assuming that they just assumed, or, you know, just came to the wedding anyway. Because there's a lot of, I wanted to know if there's any people that ever forgot, like somebody big. And then, Sierra, who did you forget to invite?

02:07:09 - 02:07:26 | Speaker 1:

I certainly forgot to invite my parents at first. No. I didn't remember to send an invite later for them. I just thought it was assumed, I guess. I wasn't thinking. but I didn't invite anybody from my dad's side of the family, and that was completely intentional. Oh, yeah.

02:07:27 - 02:07:31 | Speaker 2:

Check out our Facebook page. Facebook. Facebook.com slash Mojo in the Morning.

02:07:43 - 02:08:20 | Speaker 3:

Mojo in the Morning show. it just seems like it's not really that random. But he calls it random. And I'm glad that there are others that agree that work here at this radio station. Kev says that he had a random moment with some girls at a Kroger. By the way, if you have a random moment with this, I'm going to that Kroger. I don't know where that Kroger is, but I'm going to that Kroger. It's Mojo in the morning show explain what you showed us yesterday after the show was over all right and

02:08:20 - 02:08:34 | Speaker 2:

after i explain i need to know why you feel like this wasn't a random occurrence like i'm telling you it is okay tell us what happened so after the show i showed mojo a picture of two beautiful women who i had a random occurrence with inside of kroger now this is the situation two by the way

02:08:34 - 02:08:41 | Speaker 3:

models that looked like literally they could be kardashians or like that was cold they still

02:08:41 - 02:10:47 | Speaker 2:

cold all right so i'm in kroger and this happened last week this is the day before thanksgiving it's wednesday we already got our food because we bought food so we have food already but we didn't want to eat the food until thanksgiving so i popped into kroger to grab some stuff for us to eat on wednesday night so my mom in the car my sister in the car josiah in the car i'm in kroger getting the ones and twos i finished getting the food and i'm pushing through the pastry section where they have all the the donuts and the sweets and the pleasantries i look over and i see two sweets walking on two legs one of them it's a brunette and it's a blonde the brunette is who i first noticed because the blonde's back was towards me the brunette was oh my god skin looked like it was glowing like my man's edward on twilight she was she was beautiful she had the twinkles bro and she was holding a cheesecake feeding her friend like clearly they didn't buy these, they were having a great time I look over, I see these beautiful women feeding each other cheesecake, I was like, is it a whole cheesecake or a piece of cheesecake? Yeah, like a slice like a slice of cheesecake, already bitten off that they just pulled from a package that's what I'm assuming, I get there and I see them in the act of feeding each other, I say damn that look good the one with the twilight skin says do you want some i say yes i do i push my cart over there she literally feeds it in my mouth i'm open like baby bird like my mouth is open like oh she's feeding me the cheesecake i got we're in this little triangle i'm like is this really happening is this my life i bite the cheesecake moist i'm like this is good her friend the blonde one is like have some of mine this is called caramel flavor i'm like don't mind if i do i bite her caramel i'm like this is even better everybody's like they can't believe it's happening i can't believe it's happening and then i turned to the brunette and i said did you try the caramel she was like no i take the caramel out the blonde hair i'm like your turn feed her the caramel i'm like this is crazy who's

02:10:47 - 02:10:53 | Speaker 3:

watching it almost felt like what is wanda in the bakery saying to you guys from behind the counter

02:10:53 - 02:11:00 | Speaker 2:

You know, you've seen those movies where it's like, when you're in a situation, everything around you goes dark. It felt like we were the only ones inside of this Kroger.

02:11:00 - 02:11:02 | Speaker 3:

This is a scene from Love, actually.

02:11:02 - 02:11:11 | Speaker 1:

No, this is a scene from Love, actually. This is a scene from Naughty Girls of Kroger available right now on Pornhub.

02:11:11 - 02:11:14 | Speaker 3:

What ended up happening? I heard the story.

02:11:14 - 02:11:27 | Speaker 2:

The blonde is like, so what's going on tonight? I'm like, man, you can go to Deluxe Flux because I literally was on Instagram and saw some party down there. Mind you, my mom and sister and Josiah in the car is Thanksgiving. I just can't take them in the Kroger bathroom.

02:11:27 - 02:11:36 | Speaker 1:

What am I supposed to do? No, no, no. What you should have done, you should have texted your mom and said, take Josiah home your babysitting tonight. I'll see you next year. Oh, my God.

02:11:36 - 02:11:39 | Speaker 2:

So I got their Instagrams. Let me see.

02:11:39 - 02:11:44 | Speaker 3:

I didn't see the pictures. You didn't see the pictures? No, you guys were oogling when he told us this story yesterday after the show.

02:11:45 - 02:12:04 | Speaker 1:

First off, this stuff doesn't happen anywhere but in movies or in porn. And you do not know these girls. It happens to him. I've never seen these girls at BMO. And all I keep thinking to myself is, this guy, this is not a chance that this is a random story. This is not, right?

02:12:04 - 02:12:11 | Speaker 2:

This is the one who had the skin of a vampire. Oh, my God. Look at these girls. Oh, my God. That's the one that had the first cupcake I saw. The cheesecake.

02:12:11 - 02:12:14 | Speaker 3:

She is beautiful. She looks familiar. Do you think they paid for that cheesecake?

02:12:14 - 02:12:15 | Speaker 2:

This is her.

02:12:15 - 02:12:18 | Speaker 3:

Beautiful. I would put $100 on the fact that they did not.

02:12:18 - 02:12:21 | Speaker 1:

No, I don't buy it. No. These girls, by the way, first off.

02:12:21 - 02:12:23 | Speaker 3:

Oh, my God. You guys are literally DMing about.

02:12:24 - 02:12:26 | Speaker 1:

Let me stop for a second. Let me stop this for one second.

02:12:26 - 02:12:27 | Speaker 3:

These girls are not real.

02:12:28 - 02:12:28 | Speaker 1:

They're not real.

02:12:28 - 02:12:29 | Speaker 3:

Sure.

02:12:29 - 02:12:30 | Speaker 1:

Okay. So here's my.

02:12:30 - 02:12:32 | Speaker 3:

Look at this, Megan. Look at this girl.

02:12:32 - 02:12:33 | Speaker 1:

Here's my thing.

02:12:34 - 02:12:35 | Speaker 3:

She's not. Jesus.

02:12:35 - 02:12:41 | Speaker 1:

Would you eat somebody's. I don't care. If these girls were ugly, would you take food from them?

02:12:41 - 02:13:09 | Speaker 3:

Absolutely not. No way. Absolutely not. This is the same guy that won't eat cookies that I bring in, but he'll eat off of a random girl's hand who's clearly under the influence of something if they're being dis-sexual in a Kroger. That's okay, Megan. Oh, you mad. You like girls, too. You'd eat cheesecake from those girls. Listen, I'd eat out of a dirty kitchen. I don't care. He's the one with the weird standards.

02:13:09 - 02:13:13 | Speaker 1:

For me, it's about the cheesecake, not about the girls. For Kevin.

02:13:14 - 02:13:15 | Speaker 3:

Those girls are...

02:13:15 - 02:13:21 | Speaker 2:

I could not believe what my eyes would be holding. What Kroger was this?

02:13:21 - 02:13:26 | Speaker 3:

This 14 at Hagerty. Did you already try to get the tape? The security footage?

02:13:27 - 02:13:55 | Speaker 1:

I'm calling up Cam or Rachel over at Kroger and I'm going to say, guys, I want a picture of this. They probably don't condone this though. Unless you're there just buying pastries. If you can reach out for money for the cheese page. Cam and Rachel, I need the footage myself. Do you think, first off, do these girls pay for this stuff? I wasn't any of my concern. Was there a video camera nearby? I've gotten yelled at when I just grabbed food out of the bulk container and just started eating it in the store. People get mad at me when I do that.

02:13:55 - 02:13:58 | Speaker 3:

I feel like they were making a TikTok or something, and you're now a part of it.

02:13:58 - 02:14:02 | Speaker 1:

Thank God. I think they were. I'll do it again. What's going on, Cassie? How you doing?

02:14:04 - 02:14:13 | Speaker 3:

Hi. So, Kev, well, that sounds amazing. It sounds like this was all just a big dream. Yeah. Why doesn't anybody believe me? Okay, I believe you because I saw the DMs.

02:14:13 - 02:14:24 | Speaker 1:

Thank you. Wait, I didn't see the DMs. I just saw the pictures of them. What did they DM? I DMed them. Here, let me call them on the air right now.

02:14:24 - 02:14:34 | Speaker 2:

Yeah. If you, well, let's call them. Good. Wait, what do you mean call them? Instagram call. Okay, someone tried to do that to me. It might be weird, though. It might be weird, though. Please don't do that.

02:14:35 - 02:14:37 | Speaker 1:

Wait, wait. Oh, I can't fit this piece into my thing.

02:14:37 - 02:14:40 | Speaker 2:

Well, yeah, don't do that, man. It might be weird. You think so?

02:14:41 - 02:14:41 | Speaker 1:

I don't care.

02:14:41 - 02:14:43 | Speaker 3:

Are you telling this story on the air is weird?

02:14:44 - 02:15:02 | Speaker 1:

Does anybody know these girls? I don't know. Tell me if you know these girls. Hold on a second. The girls... Don't say their names. Yeah, you're trying to go too far. They look like they're... What do you think? Are they Albanian or what are they? I don't know. They're beautiful. They are. They're just beautiful. That's all I know. If that cheesecake would make me look like that, I'd eat it.

02:15:02 - 02:15:05 | Speaker 4:

Hold on, hold on. Carol, what did you want to say to Kev?

02:15:06 - 02:15:19 | Speaker 1:

Good morning, everybody. I just wanted to tell Kevin, he is lucky he still has his kidneys. Those girls could have drugged you, put you in a bathtub on some ice. Yeah, and taken your organs. Right? Lift up your shirt. We've got to see what your back looks like.

02:15:19 - 02:15:43 | Speaker 4:

As long, well, I can't say what I wanted to say. Kate, could you imagine, could you imagine, and there's Mama and Josiah in the parking lot going, when is he coming out? It's Thanksgiving. We want to eat. Listen, man. I was trying. I was in there eating. I want to know. I want to know what your mom. That's them together. Did you say anything to your mom? Imagine walking into Kroger and seeing this and eating cheesecake.

02:15:43 - 02:15:53 | Speaker 1:

That would actually make me not want to eat cheesecake because I want to look like this. Let's be very transparent here. People are too hot to eat around.

02:15:54 - 02:16:01 | Speaker 4:

Hey, Cody. What's happening? What's going on, guys? How you doing? I'm pretty sure these girls must be FoodSafe certified.

02:16:04 - 02:16:08 | Speaker 1:

Yes, Cody. Don't cheer that shit. Yes, Cody. You're supposed to be my friend. I am your friend, but that was funny.

02:16:09 - 02:16:14 | Speaker 3:

You did it. The disrespect I get around here, which is so funny because I have treats.

02:16:14 - 02:16:15 | Speaker 4:

Yeah.

02:16:15 - 02:16:15 | Speaker 3:

Not for Kev.

02:16:15 - 02:16:18 | Speaker 4:

That was the best. No. Hey, Norman.

02:16:18 - 02:16:23 | Speaker 3:

I'll smack it out of your hand. I swear to God, don't even touch one. What's going on? Do not look at him.

02:16:23 - 02:16:24 | Speaker 4:

What's going on, Norman?

02:16:24 - 02:16:28 | Speaker 5:

Hey, Mojo, what's going on, man? Hey, Kev. Yo. What's your Instagram?

02:16:29 - 02:16:36 | Speaker 4:

02:17:15 - 02:17:20 | Speaker 5:

girls look like and i had a similar experience but not as great as wait wait wait wait yeah Tell us about that.

02:17:20 - 02:17:23 | Speaker 4:

Tell us that experience. You got to get right to it.

02:17:23 - 02:17:46 | Speaker 5:

I was actually at Kroger, but I was at the one on Greenfield near 12 Mile or 11 Mile, right there in Southfield. And I promise you, I was pushing my cart, and I turned the corner, and there were three girls. Not two, but three. And they looked like Instagram models. They were really fine. There were black girls, but they didn't give me the time of that.

02:17:46 - 02:17:59 | Speaker 4:

By the way, all that set up for that, Norman. What's up, Amanda? Hi. Hi, Amanda.

02:17:59 - 02:18:00 | Speaker 2:

Good morning.

02:18:00 - 02:18:01 | Speaker 4:

Good morning. What's going on?

02:18:02 - 02:18:04 | Speaker 2:

It's Amber. Oh, I'm sorry.

02:18:04 - 02:18:06 | Speaker 4:

I don't know why I said it. What's happening, Amber?

02:18:08 - 02:18:22 | Speaker 2:

All I can think about is Ken putting on this nice scene. He was in Kroger, eating this cheesecake from these two hot girls. Were you just listening to Mojo's voice over Kroger?

02:18:25 - 02:18:39 | Speaker 4:

Oh, my God. I couldn't hear anything at that moment. Yeah. Attention Kroger shoppers. By the way. Oh, that's great. Take care of yourself.

02:18:39 - 02:18:40 | Speaker 2:

Record your hot temp temperatures.

02:18:41 - 02:18:42 | Speaker 4:

Fred, what's up? Hi.

02:18:43 - 02:18:45 | Speaker 2:

What's up, everybody? Cam. Yo.

02:18:45 - 02:18:48 | Speaker 5:

Where are they? I'm always at that Kroger's.

02:18:48 - 02:18:59 | Speaker 4:

Yo. But you got to stay by the bakery. Bro, you are lucky. Look, you know on the back where they got the bread at? Yes. They were right there. Right by them little refrigerators.

02:19:00 - 02:19:10 | Speaker 5:

Oh, my God. Bro, they always got the ones at that Kroger's. I'm telling you, they had two of them that night. Matter of fact, I got an order right now to go there.

02:19:13 - 02:19:14 | Speaker 4:

What's up, Jennifer? Hi.

02:19:16 - 02:19:17 | Speaker 3:

Hey, how are you this morning?

02:19:18 - 02:19:26 | Speaker 4:

We're doing great. We're talking about Kev's big moment, his big moment with two girls and cheesecake. By the way, what is it, two guys in a cup? It's two.

02:19:27 - 02:19:35 | Speaker 3:

I heard a little save-serve comment, and I'm just over here like, well, cheesecake's one of those ready-to-eat foods.

02:19:35 - 02:19:37 | Speaker 4:

Yes. I was ready to eat.

02:19:37 - 02:19:48 | Speaker 3:

Yeah, I just feel like he got really, really blessed. He got super blessed. And, uh, I don't know, God did. God did. You gotta bake cheesecake.

02:19:48 - 02:19:52 | Speaker 4:

I need it in this season. We'll talk to you later, Jennifer. Thank you. Take care of yourself.

02:19:52 - 02:19:53 | Speaker 3:

Have a good day.

02:19:53 - 02:20:00 | Speaker 4:

All right. When Chelsea asked me to go run and stop off at the store, she's gonna be like, why are you going to that, Kroger? That just seems like...

02:20:00 - 02:20:01 | Speaker 3:

It's a far away from your house.

02:20:01 - 02:20:15 | Speaker 2:

Worth the trip. WKQI Detroit. WSNX, Mesquite, and Grand Rapids. WVKS Toledo. Three great stations. One stupid show. This is Mojo in the Morning. Live.

02:20:19 - 02:20:52 | Speaker 3:

All right, it is Mojo in the Morning. Am I the a-hole right now? You decide whether a person on the phone line here, one of our fellow listeners, is an a-hole. We'll voice disguise you, because I know this is kind of a work issue, and I don't want to get you in trouble. We'll just give you a random initial. Initial M, I'm with us right now. Hi, M. Hi, how are you? Good. M wants to know if she is an a-hole. I understand that you're a manager of a company, of an office, right?

02:20:53 - 02:20:55 | Speaker 1:

Yeah, I'm an executive at a local company.

02:20:56 - 02:21:04 | Speaker 3:

And you guys recently did something at work that you think that some people are a little upset with. What was it that you did?

02:21:05 - 02:22:18 | Speaker 1:

I think so, and I appreciate you having my voice this guy. Sure, no problem. Well, we had done a survey at the office recently. Supposedly there's some team issues, so, you know, I thought it would be a great idea to put together, you know, Like a comment, anonymous team builder, you know, kind of event. It was an eye-opener because everybody was submitting complaints and things like that. So it turned out that they were complaining on one specific manager. You know, so I took it upon myself. I decided we needed to talk about this complaint and bring it to the table. Although it was supposed to be anonymous, I kind of, you know, I had to address it. You know, I felt like for us to work as a team, we need to reopen and clear the air. So at the end of one of the meetings, you know, some bits on the team came up to me. She was like, you know, you need to be put in place. And she got all in my face and said that I was deceptive with my motives. And the survey was supposed to be actually anonymous. I don't know if it was her as a ringleader or whatever.

02:22:18 - 02:22:51 | Speaker 3:

So you did an anonymous survey, and on the anonymous survey, a lot of people came back and said that a specific manager was not a good manager. And you took the anonymous survey and brought it to the whole team and that manager to try to correct the issue. And the people that filled out the anonymous survey were upset that their survey was not anonymous. did you say to did you say to the manager these specific people told me that you're not a good

02:22:51 - 02:22:58 | Speaker 1:

person good question no of course not it's still anonymous but it was unanimous it was anonymous

02:22:58 - 02:23:10 | Speaker 3:

so everybody doesn't like this person right so uh so you so they all feel like they got called out now because of uh you brought it to the attention at the end of the day the problem

02:23:10 - 02:23:26 | Speaker 1:

did get a dress and although everybody was upset about it i have a responsibility to call out you know on professionalism or just not team building you know okay we can't work together like this so it's obvious that you're wondering if you're the a-hole yeah am i the a-hole for

02:23:26 - 02:23:40 | Speaker 3:

bringing it up to the team after what else would you do i'm anonymous now you're confusing yourself yeah well what i mean what else would you do in this case i mean aside from firing the manager for being a bad manager.

02:23:41 - 02:23:55 | Speaker 2:

I don't know if you need to bring the entire team into the conversation. Like, I think having a one-on-one with that manager, the individual that everybody is speaking ill about, is the proper way to handle it. I don't know if you need everybody in one room.

02:23:55 - 02:24:41 | Speaker 4:

But you made it not anonymous by saying that it was, by saying that everybody agreed that there was a problem with this person. So then every person who took that survey, he or she knew, took issue with her. right so everybody was guilty at that point so i i see where you are going and i see you're trying to be a responsible manager here but i do think you were an a-hole because if i'm taking an anonymous survey i i am going to feel comfortable then saying what i really want to say where probably otherwise i'm not just because that's my personality like i kind of hate confrontation even though i'm trying to get better about that but i it's i i would be upset then because my then my name is out there but do you really feel like your work survey is you really think your

02:24:41 - 02:24:50 | Speaker 2:

work survey is going to stay anonymous that your managers are looking at what you're saying and they know that you submitted it yeah i like is there really some type of privacy at work when

02:24:50 - 02:25:29 | Speaker 4:

it comes to that type of thing at first i did i answered one survey for uh this company very very honestly when i first started working here i genuinely it was Thank you.

02:25:00 - 02:25:24 | Speaker 6:

out to everybody in the company so i thought it was under some sort of like almost apple algorithm where it was like encrypted you couldn't follow it back to us and then a manager addressed me about what i had written in it and i was like in a bad way like oh yeah like that wow because i was honest i thought it was going to be helpful like if if you're asking to know what the issues are so you can fix them and i tell you what the issues are don't come blame me for telling you what the

02:25:24 - 02:25:42 | Speaker 3:

issues were let's get some calls in this uh 844 mojo live 844-665-6548 is initial m an a-hole for breaking the trust of an anonymous survey by saying it was unanimous i think probably that was a bad move like shannon said i think that you're an a-hole for that because to kev's point

02:25:42 - 02:25:46 | Speaker 4:

you you could have just had a one-on-one with her and been like you know there was an issue that

02:25:46 - 02:26:21 | Speaker 3:

came up you didn't have to say every single person said that everybody hates you now go back to work and enjoy working with each other yeah i'll be quite honest with you i don't understand if everybody has an issue that to me sounds like and are you that person's boss that everybody has an issue with or you're okay well then you got a problem right because if you can't manage a person to make you know i mean like you've allowed that person to be that bad and the problem lies i hate to say this with with you initial am and also why would you think public shaming would be

02:26:21 - 02:26:24 | Speaker 6:

the most receptive option for that to fix the issue.

02:26:24 - 02:26:28 | Speaker 3:

Trisha, what's up? Am I the a-hole? I think it's an a-hole.

02:26:28 - 02:26:57 | Speaker 1:

Unfortunately, none of them surveys are anonymous. I worked for a major drugstore retailer and we did them surveys often. We all knew who said what. For her to use that information, she needs to make her team better. She takes the survey. It's not just one person that said it. It's across the board. So she needs to address the issue across the board. So what if it was, you know, they need to be increased. Is she supposed to keep that separate, too?

02:26:58 - 02:27:03 | Speaker 2:

No. If you say it's anonymous, then you've set a false expectation.

02:27:03 - 02:27:06 | Speaker 4:

By the way, I've never taken one of those surveys. Ever. I'm not joking.

02:27:06 - 02:27:38 | Speaker 3:

By the way, you ever fill out like one of those you bought a car surveys and stuff or a survey for a company and you hear the person has been calling you back? Like, had that happened to me at a business where you fill out a survey and you're like, yeah, it was a restaurant. And I said, yeah, I just thought that they just seemed like they were either understaffed or whatever. And then the manager calls back and I'm like, oh, crap, this is one of the places I'd love to go to. But they were cool with me for giving them the feedback. What's up, Donovan?

02:27:40 - 02:27:44 | Speaker 5:

Hey, good morning, guys. First time, long time. Hey, now. Donovan's on the phone.

02:27:44 - 02:27:46 | Speaker 3:

Donovan is initial M in A-hole.

02:27:47 - 02:28:12 | Speaker 5:

I would say no, she isn't an a-hole, only because I'm in the leadership role myself. And even though it's an anonymous survey, leaders are held to a different standard. So a manager, in this case, I want to hold them accountable and let them know, like, hey, there were some concerns brought up in the survey. But I'm not going to say who exactly said it, but I will address it because they are a leader.

02:28:12 - 02:28:16 | Speaker 6:

Would you do that in front of the group or would you do that in a one-on-one?

02:28:17 - 02:28:18 | Speaker 3:

No, that would be a one-on-one.

02:28:18 - 02:28:19 | Speaker 6:

So you're not this manager.

02:28:20 - 02:28:37 | Speaker 3:

Yeah. So that was the problem. The problem was how she did it, I think. That was the... Ah, okay, okay. That makes more sense. Like, doing it and having everybody sitting there going, oh, crap. Like, that had to be very uncomfortable. David, what's up? Am I the a-hole? And the majority of people are... Yeah, majority of people are saying that.

02:28:38 - 02:28:45 | Speaker 5:

It's like she went to court and pointed at everybody. You know, here's my witnesses. Nah, nah, nah. A-hole for sure.

02:28:45 - 02:28:57 | Speaker 3:

I never understand if you have a situation where a person is that bad and everybody has a problem with it, why it's gone to a survey to get you to notice why that person is that bad.

02:28:58 - 02:29:09 | Speaker 2:

That culture may not be one that provides the level of comfortability for the team members to want to vocalize their frustrations.

02:29:10 - 02:29:36 | Speaker 3:

Why are you not looking at me in the eyes right now? I think that you're referring to something. You know odds. I love it. All right, hold on. By the way, here's the survey. Do you like working on the show or not? Answer the survey to the listeners. There you go. You got to answer it at 7.20 in the morning. And by the way, why do I not get the same surveys that Megan gets? The company never asked me for anything.

02:29:36 - 02:29:38 | Speaker 6:

Oh, it was like seriously eight or nine years ago.

02:29:38 - 02:29:59 | Speaker 3:

All I do is take tests for how to do an EAS test and not do it, you know, as a joke or whatever. Oh, Joe, in the morning, I'm going to go on a little bit of a rant here, and I am going to sound like the Grinch of the show. But you know what? I don't mind.

02:30:00 - 02:30:13 | Speaker 1:

because I think people know that I am a fun-loving kind of guy, right? I hope so. Well, I just would like to say to some of my friends, ugly Christmas sweater parties are for idiots. There you go.

02:30:13 - 02:30:15 | Speaker 3:

I said it. What is your hatred?

02:30:16 - 02:31:12 | Speaker 1:

Where is this stemming from? All right, so, and there's just some people that are listening right now that probably are like, I just went to one this weekend. All my friends are pissed off at me because I refuse to go to an ugly Christmas sweater party. And for those of you who don't know the origins of Christmas sweater parties, ugly Christmas sweater parties, the origins were that you wore a sweater that your grandma or aunt knitted for you or gave to you as a gift that you looked at and said, this is the ugliest thing ever. I'm returning it to JCPenney. Yeah. And you wear the thing together and everybody looks and they don't have matching ones at all. Everybody's just different. and you're like, holy crap, oh, my God, where did they get that one at? And it's funny, and you all look at each other like that. Now it has come to where people are going out and spending $70 to $150 on, thank you, thank you, Megan, please, yes.

02:31:12 - 02:31:15 | Speaker 2:

You've never been more right about anything. A studio audience is also funny. What is he right about?

02:31:16 - 02:31:39 | Speaker 1:

And I hate the fact that, you know, if you don't go out and get yourself, you know, the Christmas sweater with Elon Musk or Donald Trump's face on it, Or, you know, you do something that is, you know, outrageous where it's got with the two brothers from what the hell is stepbrothers, then everybody thinks that you're stupid. And I just don't want to do this anymore. I don't want to do it.

02:31:39 - 02:31:47 | Speaker 2:

It's become too expensive. It was supposed to be free. And now it's not. But how many sweaters that your grandma bought you way back in the day can you even fit?

02:31:47 - 02:31:51 | Speaker 3:

Or you go to the thrift store and you pay six bucks for one.

02:31:51 - 02:32:38 | Speaker 1:

Do you know what I suggested to my friends? I suggested, I said to them, I said, guys, why don't we do this? The Lions are kicking ass. Why don't we do a Lions jersey party? And we all show up wearing Lions jerseys, or better yet, I looked online to see if there's Lions Christmas sweaters. Actually, did you see that? I posted it in our stuff. Did you see the picture of the two brothers from Step Brothers? But it's Dan Campbell and Jared Goff with a Christmas sweater. And you can actually put your name on the back if you want to. Like, it's kind of funny. I said, let's come up with another theme. I don't want to do ugly Christmas sweaters and if you're like hardcore on this call me up because I would like to debate I mean thank you Megan for agreeing with me on this because I gotta be honest I thought I was gonna come in here and you guys were say you're so you know this is the you got what's going on with you I mean you are a little scroogey but

02:32:38 - 02:32:54 | Speaker 2:

I mean I'm not fully mad I can understand and support the $100 $200 thing but 2 Chainz dropped a dab in Santa Christmas sweater a couple years ago and it was fire I like the switch-up of it not just being grandma ready-ass to 2 Chainz.

02:32:54 - 02:32:58 | Speaker 1:

I know, but I'm saying, is it Louis Vuitton or is it Gucci?

02:32:58 - 02:32:59 | Speaker 2:

No, it's Louis Vuitton.

02:32:59 - 02:33:12 | Speaker 1:

No, if 2 Chainz made it, I'm saying that he probably did a collab with somebody. No, no, no. It wasn't like that. It wasn't like a designer or something? All profits came back to the trap. Kelly, what's up? It's Mojo in the morning.

02:33:13 - 02:34:01 | Speaker 4:

So I used to go to a bunch of ugly Christmas sweater parties, and there was one here I didn't have one a couple years ago now so I went to my grandma and I said grandma do you have any Christmas sweaters she was like oh yeah she had like she collected them and they were like the old school like 60s 70s Christmas sweaters that really weren't meant to be ugly but they were ugly and she was like what do you need a Christmas sweater for and just like out of conversation I was like well I'm going to an ugly Christmas sweater party she was like do you think my sweaters are ugly it's been like six years and i still wear the sweater and i take a picture every year and i send it to her and i'm like i'm still wearing it i gotta tag us see that is beautiful though

02:34:01 - 02:34:10 | Speaker 1:

that is beautiful when you can't tell your grandma or aunt that you wore their sweater at an ugly christmas sweater party you have to just say that you wore it uh liz what's happening

02:34:10 - 02:34:17 | Speaker 3:

it's mojo in the morning hi hi good morning you guys how are you good morning bah humbug good

02:34:17 - 02:34:17 | Speaker 1:

What's going on?

02:34:19 - 02:34:37 | Speaker 3:

So I was just mentioning for the ugly flyers, I feel like they're kind of too traditional. And I was just expressing that, like, I really like your idea of the lying nerdsies and stuff like that. Because I just feel like I just put the ugly flyers. It's just too traditional. And I feel like it's good for people to be optimistic and good with other ideas.

02:34:38 - 02:34:48 | Speaker 1:

So, yeah, it's cliche. I think it's cliche more than saying traditional. Traditional is nice. It's OK to be traditional. cliche nobody wants to be cliche she got the strongest

02:34:48 - 02:35:00 | Speaker 3:

yeah those are strong yeah i feel like that like when i wear them i feel so itchy i'm not comfortable i want to be comfortable and have a good time right so last

02:35:00 - 02:35:09 | Speaker 4:

Sure, I went to a Christmas jammies party on that. Glorious. Absolutely glorious. You literally wore your pajamas and your socks or your slippers or whatever.

02:35:09 - 02:35:11 | Speaker 1:

I was 100% on board for that.

02:35:11 - 02:35:12 | Speaker 4:

I love that.

02:35:12 - 02:35:24 | Speaker 1:

Now, that is, you know, cutting edge. You go right home and right to bed. So, we're doing something for the holiday. Do we have, like, a theme? What are we doing? We're going to a nice lunch. You've got to dress up. Oh, yes.

02:35:24 - 02:35:26 | Speaker 3:

I'm saying we should, like, do something. We can or we can't get in.

02:35:27 - 02:35:52 | Speaker 1:

Quick question for you. Unless we decide that we're going to do it something else. But why don't you do it? Actually, we'll all do it. Let's all do it. Let's all do something. Oh, yeah, yeah, yeah. Let's make you wear your Christmas thongs, panties, or boxers. Yeah. Just come with that. Are you guys all right with it? He's saying all right, so I'd be the only one that showed up. No. Holly, what's up, Holly?

02:35:54 - 02:36:10 | Speaker 2:

Hey there, guys. First time long. Hey. What a festive name for the holidays. Okay, so Mojo, you don't like the idea of people spending over $60 for a sweater, but you want them to spend over $100 for a Lions jersey? Damn. Is that how expensive those are?

02:36:11 - 02:36:15 | Speaker 1:

Okay, then maybe it's not the cost of it. Maybe it's the premise of I hate.

02:36:15 - 02:36:15 | Speaker 2:

The principle.

02:36:16 - 02:36:21 | Speaker 1:

I can wear the Lions jersey when they're playing in the playoffs or Super Bowl.

02:36:21 - 02:36:23 | Speaker 4:

Cost per wear is much lower.

02:36:23 - 02:36:30 | Speaker 1:

Yeah. Who wears their Christmas sweaters ever again? Grandma. You know what I mean? So Holly left me.

02:36:31 - 02:36:33 | Speaker 3:

Holly was like, you made a good point. Click.

02:36:34 - 02:36:37 | Speaker 1:

Summer, what's up? This is not a festive name. Summer, what's going on?

02:36:39 - 02:36:43 | Speaker 3:

Hi, Mojo. First time on. Hey, I'm a lot. Summer's on the boat.

02:36:43 - 02:36:44 | Speaker 1:

Man, this is good.

02:36:45 - 02:36:50 | Speaker 3:

I just wanted to let you know that I wear an ugly Christmas sweater every day from December 1st until Christmas Day.

02:36:50 - 02:36:52 | Speaker 1:

Oh, geez. How many do you have?

02:36:53 - 02:36:55 | Speaker 3:

I have about 27 of them.

02:36:55 - 02:37:00 | Speaker 1:

Do people just think they all are the same, or do they look forward to your new sweater that you're going to wear?

02:37:01 - 02:37:06 | Speaker 3:

They look forward to my new sweater every day. When I go to work, the first thing everybody does is look to see what sweater I'm wearing today.

02:37:07 - 02:37:11 | Speaker 1:

Oh, that's cool. That is kind of cool. I like that idea. Colette, what's up? Hi, it's Mojo in the morning.

02:37:12 - 02:37:46 | Speaker 4:

Hi, good morning. So my friends and I do a Christmas party every year, but we change up our theme. This year we're bringing pictures of our passed-on grandparents, and we were dressing up like our grandparents. Oh, my God, I love that idea. That is cool. The ghost of Christmas past. Like wigs and all, you're going full force here. Yeah, my grandmother always wore, like, really nice costume jewelry, nothing gaudy. But she, like, always dressed up. Like, her hair was always done. She always wore her hose. We call them hose. Those are her nilons.

02:37:47 - 02:37:58 | Speaker 1:

That's awesome. That is such a cool idea. That actually would be a fun idea to do. Where do you buy hoes? Misfit Ron on with us. We haven't talked to you in a while. On the farm right now, Ron.

02:37:59 - 02:38:45 | Speaker 3:

Well, actually, I was actually driving to Menards to get Christmas lights to hang up at the farm. But I hope I didn't reach my cat for calling. No, what's going on? No, I like this topic. Like, on a serious note, you are for real. I feel like somewhere, like, in the last maybe, like, 10 to 8 years, it got really popular for the Christmas party sweaters, the ugly Christmas sweaters. But I feel like they're not, like, ugly Christmas sweaters. Yeah. You don't do that. But I feel like they're not, like, original, like, Christmas sweaters. They're just, like, the stupid sleigh all day. And they're, like, all inappropriate where you can't wear them to work. Yeah. And it's, like, they're not. Yeah, they got very naughty, didn't they, Ron?

02:38:45 - 02:38:54 | Speaker 1:

What if we did a farm party where we all dress up as either a farm animal or a farmer? Wouldn't that be funny? And we do a Misfit Ron party. Wouldn't that be fun? Lydia.

02:38:55 - 02:38:58 | Speaker 3:

I thought we were having a Misfit Christmas party at iHeart. What happened to that one?

02:38:58 - 02:38:59 | Speaker 1:

You know what? Toronto.

02:39:00 - 02:39:15 | Speaker 3:

It's not gold. I thought we should have a party where we all dress up like Ron. Better not take that attitude to Menards. Are we allowed to wear Carhartts, Ron? As you're wearing Carhartts. Are you professional or not? So, if you want to, yes, you earned it for sure.

02:39:15 - 02:39:23 | Speaker 1:

Ron, you guys, the Misfits do need to come. Lydia, do you hate that when we do the Misfits and have them come in one day, the last day of the year?

02:39:23 - 02:39:27 | Speaker 4:

No, we like it. You guys have to hear your annual Christmas song.

02:39:27 - 02:39:28 | Speaker 1:

Lydia, can we...

02:39:28 - 02:39:31 | Speaker 4:

Can we at least do it a week before our last day of show?

02:39:31 - 02:39:32 | Speaker 1:

We can do that or we can do it...

02:39:32 - 02:39:33 | Speaker 4:

Wrangling them is very hard.

02:39:33 - 02:39:44 | Speaker 1:

Do it like Monday or Tuesday or something like that of that week. So, it's not the last day. Yeah. Ron, yeah. But everybody's got to dress up as a farm animal And you've got to be the main farmer

02:39:44 - 02:39:56 | Speaker 3:

They should do a B&E When Megan was laughing about the Carhartt I seen Megan out there doing the Salvation Army bell ringing out there in the cold She deserves that Carhartt I love you

02:39:56 - 02:40:00 | Speaker 4:

Because you know Ron hates when people wear Carhartts That don't wear them

02:40:00 - 02:40:04 | Speaker 3:

working what if we had the misfits christmas carol on jingle ball stage oh that would be great oh my

02:40:04 - 02:40:08 | Speaker 2:

god you know what though that's too hard to put for tomorrow though let's have them just go door

02:40:08 - 02:40:14 | Speaker 3:

to door in eastern market carol oh my god please please please have them go to the corned beef

02:40:14 - 02:40:18 | Speaker 2:

place next door and just see what those guys look like when they go out to their cars for their

02:40:18 - 02:40:29 | Speaker 3:

break it's just the misfits out there just bombarding them kool-aid lady with her keyboard and instead of like the bell for that you're ringing for like jingle bells we can bring the a cowbell. There you go.

02:40:30 - 02:40:33 | Speaker 2:

Because you know what we need. The world needs more cowbell, right?

02:40:35 - 02:40:37 | Speaker 4:

He doesn't get that. That was funny.

02:40:37 - 02:40:39 | Speaker 2:

That was funny. That's not a reference.

02:40:39 - 02:40:40 | Speaker 4:

We always need more cowbell.

02:40:40 - 02:40:47 | Speaker 2:

We need more cowbell. All right. Miss Van Ryn, we'll talk to you later. We'll see you, buddy. Okay, bye, buddy. Okay, bye, buddy. Bye, buddy.

02:40:47 - 02:40:53 | Speaker 1:

Catching cheaters. I'm proud of it. Ow, I'm sorry. It's your home for War of the Roses on Mojo in the Morning.

02:40:54 - 02:40:54 | Speaker 2:

Melanie.

02:40:55 - 02:40:56 | Speaker 3:

Hello.

02:40:56 - 02:41:15 | Speaker 2:

Let me explain this to everybody here and the listeners. Melanie wants to know if her boyfriend is cheating and believes that she knows who the person is that he is cheating with. And she is on the phone with us also. Her name is Bella. Bella, are you there?

02:41:15 - 02:41:16 | Speaker 3:

Yes, I'm here.

02:41:17 - 02:41:47 | Speaker 2:

So, Melanie and Bella are on the phone. Um, and Melanie, you are dating a guy who you went through some of his, uh, his social media, uh, DMs and noticed that he was talking to Bella and having conversations with Bella, yet you are in a relationship with him and she reached out, you reached out and contacted Bella about that, right?

02:41:48 - 02:41:49 | Speaker 1:

Yes.

02:41:49 - 02:41:56 | Speaker 2:

And when you contacted her, she didn't believe that you were his girlfriend.

02:41:57 - 02:41:57 | Speaker 3:

Yeah.

02:41:59 - 02:42:01 | Speaker 2:

Bella, why did you not believe that?

02:42:03 - 02:42:05 | Speaker 3:

Because honestly, I just don't think you'd cheat on me.

02:42:06 - 02:42:08 | Speaker 4:

Okay, Melanie, how long have you and this guy been together?

02:42:09 - 02:42:11 | Speaker 3:

For over a year.

02:42:11 - 02:42:28 | Speaker 4:

And Bella, what about you? A couple months. Okay. Haven't you exchanged stories? Like, Bella, I feel like, you know, Melanie could give you stories that would make you believe that, yes, she is very much in a relationship with him and vice versa.

02:42:29 - 02:42:37 | Speaker 3:

I just can't believe that he would do this to me, though. So I just don't really think, like, I don't know what to believe here. Okay.

02:42:38 - 02:42:48 | Speaker 2:

I'm sure that, Melanie, you have proof other than just your word. You probably have stuff in writing. You've got probably pictures and all the rest of that stuff.

02:42:48 - 02:42:52 | Speaker 3:

Oh, sure. Photos, text messages, emails, all of it. Okay.

02:42:54 - 02:43:28 | Speaker 2:

It's kind of wild to know that the person who is the person that's in the longer relationship is the one that believes that they're being cheated on, but the person that is the newer person in the relationship doesn't believe her. Like, you know what I mean? Like, usually, I would think that it would be the opposite of that, you know? All right, so we're going to call him up to see where he's going to send a dozen free roses. And I want you guys both to do me a favor. If you can mute your phones, just so that we can make the phone call.

02:43:29 - 02:43:29 | Speaker 3:

Okay.

02:43:31 - 02:43:41 | Speaker 2:

All right, we're calling up Spencer to see where he's going to send a dozen free roses. And honestly, I don't know who you want the roses to go to on this one.

02:43:41 - 02:44:59 | Speaker 4:

I'm really confused. hello hi i'm looking for spencer yeah um hi spencer my name is nicole and i'm calling you from a new online floral company called rosesbloom.com i'm actually calling with an offer for some free roses for you if you have like 30 seconds to answer two survey questions for me we're going to give you this dozen long stemmed red roses and you can send them to the person of your choice anywhere in the country totally free to you i'm not going to ask you for any credit card info or anything like that we're just trying to get our name out there and we're hoping that you'll want to take part in this free offer um all right let's try it out okay spencer have you purchased flowers in the last six months no do you plan on purchasing flowers in the next six months no okay not a flower guy yet right yeah not really okay well as a thank you for participating in that survey like i said rosesbloom.com is going to give you that dozen long-stemmed red roses

02:45:00 - 02:45:11 | Speaker 3:

And so, just so you know, they are going to be sent out today. And I need to get some info from you about who these are going to, starting with a first and a last name. And they don't have to be local. They can be anywhere.

02:45:12 - 02:45:12 | Speaker 1:

Okay.

02:45:13 - 02:45:13 | Speaker 3:

Okay?

02:45:15 - 02:45:15 | Speaker 1:

All right.

02:45:16 - 02:45:18 | Speaker 3:

First and... Go ahead. Sorry.

02:45:19 - 02:45:21 | Speaker 1:

You're asking who I'm going to send them to?

02:45:21 - 02:45:22 | Speaker 3:

Yep. First and last name.

02:45:23 - 02:45:26 | Speaker 1:

Okay. Can you send them to Melanie...

02:45:26 - 02:45:32 | Speaker 3:

Okay. Okay. And what is Melanie's relationship to you?

02:45:34 - 02:45:35 | Speaker 1:

She's my girlfriend.

02:45:37 - 02:45:42 | Speaker 3:

Okay. And do you have a phone number for her?

02:45:44 - 02:45:44 | Speaker 1:

It's...

02:45:44 - 02:45:46 | Unknown:

Uh-huh.

02:45:47 - 02:45:49 | Speaker 3:

Uh-huh.

02:45:50 - 02:45:51 | Unknown:

Five.

02:45:51 - 02:46:16 | Speaker 3:

Okay. And Spencer, we do something unique at rosesbloom.com, and instead of sending a paper card with the flowers, we record a digital voice memo and that's going to be texted to Melanie when the flowers get delivered so she'll be able to play that and know exactly who they're from so just something short and sweet it can be a little longer than what you would write on a card okay I'm going to count you down and you can say whatever you want 3, 2, 1

02:46:16 - 02:46:22 | Speaker 1:

I love you

02:46:22 - 02:46:29 | Speaker 3:

do you want to do that again? did you mess up? Okay, and it can be longer than that, too.

02:46:30 - 02:46:34 | Speaker 1:

Okay. What should I say there?

02:46:35 - 02:46:48 | Speaker 3:

So you can say whatever you want. Instead of sending a paper card, we do this. It's just, it's something different. You can say a little bit more. Yep, so she's going to get it via text, and she's going to play it when the flowers get delivered.

02:46:49 - 02:46:50 | Speaker 1:

Okay.

02:46:50 - 02:46:50 | Speaker 3:

Okay?

02:46:50 - 02:46:51 | Speaker 1:

I understand.

02:46:51 - 02:46:53 | Speaker 3:

Okay. Three, two, one.

02:46:53 - 02:47:01 | Speaker 1:

hey melanie i hope you enjoy the flowers i love you so much spencer

02:47:01 - 02:47:14 | Speaker 3:

great and spencer i do have to let you also know that this call is being recorded for quality and training purposes are you okay with that yeah it's fine okay spencer i'm gonna come

02:47:14 - 02:48:28 | Speaker 2:

on uh the call and get some last minute information for you uh and then uh and then we'll let you go OK, I want to first before we do anything, I want to inform you of one last thing. That while we have been talking to you and you've been sending the flowers to Melanie, that Melanie heard that because she is on the phone with us right now. Spencer, this is the Mojo in the morning show. And Melanie called us up to see where you would send a dozen free roses. And you sent them to her. Which is good because she now knows that she's getting the flowers. Are you there, Spencer? Spencer? Spencer, it shows that you're still on the line

02:48:28 - 02:48:32 | Speaker 1:

Yeah, I'm here

02:48:32 - 02:49:09 | Speaker 2:

Spencer, Melanie is on the phone line but also Spencer, do you know somebody by the name of Bella? Spencer, do you know the mojo in the morning show and you know what's about going on right now? Melanie and Bella?

02:49:12 - 02:49:12 | Speaker 1:

Yeah.

02:49:14 - 02:49:32 | Speaker 2:

So, Bella and Melanie's not telling you any kind of BS? Melanie's telling you the truth so they are in a relationship and that's who he calls his girlfriend

02:49:32 - 02:49:39 | Speaker 1:

why would he send them to you though

02:49:39 - 02:49:43 | Speaker 2:

because it's his girlfriend

02:49:43 - 02:49:59 | Speaker 3:

my question to Melanie is and I know he sent the flowers to you but are you out at this point Because you know that, and especially hearing Bella talk like this, that they've gone through so much and he's helped her through so much. Like, how

02:50:00 - 02:50:28 | Speaker 4:

are you feeling about this relationship i'm i'm i'm not happy but i'm glad that i was the person he thought of so clearly he still cares without me but you're not going to stay in a relationship with him probably not probably is not the most convincing term you could have used there i don't

02:50:28 - 02:51:04 | Speaker 2:

think that uh and by the way we can't get him back on the phone we've been trying to call him i don't think that this is one of those situations and i almost wish we would have done done it as a three-way call because it would have been interesting to see how we he talked to both of you guys he didn't really but really say too much he didn't say much but it would be interesting if he didn't think that we were here and on the phone i think that's once once i jumped on he got really quiet i mean i'm silence says a lot but i'm not truly convinced that he really knows bella is i don't know then he does oh so you think that the bella thing might

02:51:04 - 02:51:09 | Speaker 1:

not be it could be something but i'm just not like i don't have enough to say yeah he's definitely

02:51:09 - 02:51:24 | Speaker 2:

in another relationship with another woman like i just don't feel like but melanie's read the DMs between the two of them? I don't know. Melanie, would you doubt that their relationship was as close as Bella says it is?

02:51:25 - 02:51:29 | Speaker 4:

I think it's possible she's misunderstanding the situation.

02:51:30 - 02:51:34 | Speaker 1:

Have y'all met in real life or y'all just text them back and forth and DMing and stuff?

02:51:35 - 02:51:38 | Speaker 4:

No, we've met. I mean, like, we would see each other like once a week, maybe.

02:51:39 - 02:51:40 | Unknown:

Uh-huh.

02:51:41 - 02:51:46 | Speaker 2:

All right, hang on the phone, okay? This is the home of War of the Roses. Mojo.

02:51:53 - 02:52:00 | Speaker 3:

Call Mojo in the morning. 844-MOJO-LIVE. 844-665-6548.

02:52:04 - 02:53:19 | Speaker 2:

Mojo in the morning, War of the Roses. Anybody that didn't hear what was said in the beginning, I'll tell you the name so you kind of know who these people are a girl named Melanie dating a guy named Spencer who we just called a second ago and he sent the flowers to Melanie, okay, his girlfriend she had looked through his DMs and saw that he was talking back and forth with a girl named Bella that's the other girl that you just heard voices from just a little bit ago and And Melanie, instead of confronting Spencer about this other girl and who she is, she reaches out to Bella and says to Bella, I'm dating this guy. You know, you should know this. Then they talk to each other and say, let's do the mojo in the morning, War of the Roses, and let's see what's going on. Because Bella doesn't believe that Melanie is who she says she is, does not believe that she's actually a girlfriend. Well, just a moment ago, you heard the War of the Roses, where we actually made the phone call, and he sent it to, and he said, his girlfriend. Michelle, you just heard that whole thing. Comment from you. What are your thoughts on the War of the Roses?

02:53:20 - 02:53:43 | Speaker 5:

I did. Good morning. I was thinking, like, Spencer went radio silent, and instantly I thought, Bella was probably texting him, like, either, what the hell, or what, you know. and that's and he was reading or trying to respond to the text because it was really bizarre he didn't even try to explain or defend himself or anything it was just like silence that's

02:53:43 - 02:54:03 | Speaker 2:

actually very interesting i never thought that and i want to go back and probably right and i want to listen back to it on on podcast or maybe on replay and and see the the length of time was weird because he was on the phone line we can tell when somebody's still on there because the phone line automatically will disconnect when that happens because we have a computerized phone

02:54:03 - 02:54:11 | Speaker 1:

line system so that that'd be interesting the whole scene was weird and confusing and in the

02:54:11 - 02:54:30 | Speaker 2:

idea that she would be tipping him off saying i can't believe you're doing this or whatever saying who knows what uh like she's got this thing still uh i thought that the question though that was asked to melanie of you are you gonna stick around through this and she's like probably not was also an interesting one too sam what's up yeah not too much but uh it sounds like he got

02:54:30 - 02:54:34 | Speaker 3:

to him right where he needs him. He should step his game up, and he could probably lock both of them down.

02:54:35 - 02:54:47 | Speaker 2:

Well, listen, I don't know if that's what we're encouraging, but Sam... Wow, boy. I'll be honest with you. Bella, it seems like she is willing just to be with him and doesn't really care.

02:54:48 - 02:54:49 | Speaker 3:

Yeah, she is definitely going to stay.

02:54:50 - 02:54:54 | Speaker 2:

Yeah, the girl that is the mistress might be what he falls back on. What's up, Amber?

02:54:55 - 02:54:56 | Speaker 4:

Hi. Good morning.

02:54:56 - 02:54:57 | Speaker 2:

Good morning.

02:54:58 - 02:55:00 | Speaker 4:

I think...

02:55:00 - 02:55:31 | Speaker 1:

that kevin is on to something i think there's something sketchy about bella i think she's lying about something um and i'm not sure what it is i don't know if it's that she's like a stage five cleaner or she just likes to make mess in relationships but i think she's maybe making things bigger than what they are and trying to just get spencer in trouble yeah we we've had it

02:55:31 - 02:56:11 | Speaker 3:

before where the bella or the mistress or the girl that's cheating will contact the girlfriend or wife and say hey let's do this and we've had that i was actually in and i i think there is something weird with bella i do now after especially after that first caller says about the texting thing it wouldn't surprise me but there there is something to the fact that you would be told i'm the girlfriend and this girl would be like i don't believe that whole thing yeah and but but then there is also something and this could be you know they're in their 20s who knows yeah but this could be whatever but are you gonna stick around probably not you know what i

02:56:11 - 02:56:36 | Speaker 4:

mean i think there's also a portion of it where we kind of give the guy flack for being silent And I don't think everybody, for one, is comfortable being on the radio, comfortable having their business out on the radio, comfortable with the relationship being out on the radio. And sometimes I've been in situations where I've been accused of things more than once, and you just get to a point where you just shut down. Like, oh, my God, here we go again.

02:56:36 - 02:57:04 | Speaker 3:

I don't even know what to say at this point. People are saying that his silence was him pleading the fifth, kind of like in a court of law, not trying to incriminate himself. Honestly, he was probably smarter than, I mean, it could be nervousness on the radio or it could just be that he's just damn smart for being silent. Has anybody ever been, this is just to throw it out there, has anybody ever been contacted by the person who is either the girlfriend or the person that's fooling around?

02:57:04 - 02:57:05 | Speaker 4:

Yeah.

02:57:06 - 02:57:09 | Speaker 3:

Yeah, you're saying, yeah, like that's a call you're taking or yeah, you've had that?

02:57:09 - 02:57:36 | Speaker 4:

I've had this situation. I'm like, what? He's like, come on, man. Just man to man. He's like, I know you're doing your thing. I just need to know. I'm just like, bruh, that's just not like. But why not say no?

02:57:36 - 02:57:40 | Speaker 1:

Wait, so did you know that, I'm confused. Did you know that she had a boyfriend?

02:57:40 - 02:57:58 | Speaker 4:

I didn't. I don't remember, to be honest with you. I don't remember. Okay. But I'm saying I probably didn't care either way. Uh-huh. But I got a random phone call. I guess he got my number out of her phone somehow, some way, and called me. Okay. I was like, I just need to know. I know you're doing your thing. I know, da, da, da, da, da, but I need to know what's going on. I was just like, man, that's just, I don't know.

02:57:58 - 02:57:59 | Speaker 8:

Why not say no or yes?

02:58:00 - 02:58:11 | Speaker 4:

Because I don't, I felt at the time I didn't owe him anything. And why are you calling me? You need to deal with her. Like, I don't know why we need to have a conversation.

02:58:11 - 02:58:13 | Speaker 5:

I had a girl reach out to me on Instagram, too.

02:58:14 - 02:58:14 | Speaker 8:

What'd you tell her?

02:58:15 - 02:58:18 | Speaker 5:

Everything. And the guy was cheating? Yes.

02:58:18 - 02:58:24 | Speaker 8:

Isn't that so interesting between guys and girls? Like, guys will be like, none of your business. Girls will be like, yes, let me show you all the pictures.

02:58:24 - 02:58:37 | Speaker 5:

Wasn't this recent, KP? No, this was like three years ago now. Oh, okay. And the dude's actually engaged to a girl now, so God bless her. Okay. People can change. I don't know. I love this one.

02:58:38 - 02:58:40 | Speaker 3:

Sarah, what did you want to say?

02:58:40 - 02:58:55 | Speaker 6:

I wanted to say that I think that Bella believed Melanie, but because she knew it would lead to them breaking up, she didn't say anything. So that they could break up and she could just swoop in and keep dating him.

02:58:55 - 02:58:58 | Speaker 3:

Yeah, get Melanie out of the picture. Clara, what's up?

02:59:00 - 02:59:03 | Speaker 7:

Hi, first time caller, long time listener. Stop it.

02:59:05 - 02:59:06 | Speaker 3:

What's happening?

02:59:06 - 02:59:35 | Speaker 7:

Um, so I think I've been in a situation somewhat like this before, and I just think Bella's reaction was kind of, it threw me off, I'm going to be honest, because she basically got the entire truth put right in her face, and it seemed like she still didn't believe it, and that's kind of like a, that seems like she might be under, like, kind of a spell, I guess, maybe like the honeymoon phase or something, but if I was her, I would believe it right away if I heard a phone call like that.

02:59:35 - 02:59:45 | Speaker 3:

yeah sometimes you almost need a moment to react to it and that's why i think we need to get them back on the phone and get a uh an update from them on where they all are he could be feeding

02:59:45 - 03:00:05 | Speaker 2:

or something too and saying no that's crazy there's no way no way and like so she was already in advance ready for this because she thought that this isn't real because he's been telling me that she's been trying to do this forever and and making up these stories well and you want you wonder if maybe before we even made the phone call if he knew what was going to go on what's going on

03:00:05 - 03:00:31 | Speaker 4:

Rebecca hi hey I was calling him because you asked if anybody's ever had this happen um I had an ex-boyfriend who still tried to contact me after 13 years and he had a whole fiance and I have my own separate family and his fiance will still contact me asking me to come get him that we're together that she knows we're together and i've had to take out a restraining order against

03:00:31 - 03:00:37 | Speaker 2:

her jeez that's wild though that she's so she's really going after you she needs to just leave

03:00:37 - 03:00:42 | Speaker 4:

that guy right i was in the hospital pregnant with my daughter and she thought that i was

03:00:42 - 03:00:55 | Speaker 2:

hooking up with them oh my god jeez uh voices guys uh alias will call you rena what's up hey oh i gotta push the button i i'm sorry i didn't push the button go ahead

03:00:55 - 03:01:27 | Speaker 3:

I actually had a situation about five years ago now where my husband was having a two-year-long affair, and we were separated because he, because of the affair, wanted a divorce. And I suspected something was going on, and after they had been together for about two years, she ended up reaching out to me on Facebook Messenger and told me everything. It had been going on for the past two years.

03:01:28 - 03:01:30 | Speaker 2:

Were you happy that she reached out to you and told you?

03:01:32 - 03:01:52 | Speaker 3:

I was devastated at first. I was happy, and we stayed together. We're actually still married. We worked through everything, but it was heartbreaking, and I was crushed and devastated for a long time that he would do something like that to me.

03:01:53 - 03:01:54 | Speaker 2:

Are you actually cautious with him now?

03:01:55 - 03:02:21 | Speaker 3:

Uh, yeah, for sure. And he is very, very open and honest and, you know, communicates everything with me now. So, like I said, it was, it was a long, long process of gaining that trust back. And we're actually in a really good place now. And we're probably stronger than we were before. So it was kind of one of those situations where everything, you know, works out for the best.

03:02:21 - 03:02:35 | Speaker 2:

but did you ever meet did you ever meet the mistress face-to-face have i met her face-to-face did you ever meet her face-to-face or was it just everything over the phone no i didn't i never met

03:02:35 - 03:02:48 | Speaker 3:

her face-to-face i talked on the phone uh a couple of times and she had me blocked now but that's fine i don't need to have anything to do with her yeah and he doesn't need to have anything to do

03:02:48 - 03:03:09 | Speaker 5:

with her renna the exact same thing happened to me she actually showed up to one of my station events she won tickets just to show up to the event after she had reached out to me just to like talk to the proper person wow and then she's blocked she has me blocked now but it always ends up like that because they want to talk to you to get the information and then they'll block you

03:03:09 - 03:03:43 | Speaker 2:

um good luck renna if you think that your significant other is cheating text cheater to 95500. It's War of the Roses on Mojo in the Morning. Channel 955, 104.5 SNX and 92.5 KISS FM. Alright, it is Mojo in the Morning show. Megan, what is it that drives you nuts? Is this going to be a Megan Minute? Let's do a Megan Minute. Let's do a Megan Minute. Megan Minute, everybody. A Megan Minute. It's time. Are you ready? Yeah, I'm ready. 60 seconds on the clock. Megan can say anything she wants.

03:03:43 - 03:04:34 | Speaker 1:

she's got free airwaves it's a megan minute okay i am so sick of these companies that at the checkout as you're going through everything and you're paying at the very end they're like would you like to round up or donate to this cause number one i've been on the board for a lot of local organizations and every time we reach out to these companies to help us they never help local charities so that's my biggest gripe with this right it's like you'll do it but you won't do it for the people in your own community you only do it for the national ones and number two You're only asking me near Christmas time to round up because then I feel obligated to do good for others so that you don't have to pay your taxes. This is not about doing good. This is about you taking my money so that you as a corporation do not have to pay taxes. And then you make me look bad, not only in front of the customers in line behind me, but also the cash register person. And it makes me feel so uncomfortable.

03:04:36 - 03:04:39 | Speaker 2:

That's a Megan Minute, everybody. There you go.

03:04:39 - 03:05:00 | Speaker 1:

I do feel like it puts you in a bad position where, like, if you say yes, you're helping this corporation not pay taxes, but if you say no, you're not helping charity, and there's no right answer. I'll be honest with you. I've been saying no, like, way more than I've been saying yes because of this, because we've talked about this. The only place I will say yes, and you should, too, and I really mean this, is the Imagine Theater because it goes to breaking and entering Christmas. Oh, that is true. And really, it was.

03:05:00 - 03:05:04 | Speaker 10:

100% of it does. But I feel differently about it going to local organizations.

03:05:04 - 03:05:06 | Speaker 3:

Right. There is a

03:05:06 - 03:05:08 | Speaker 10:

huge difference there. Here's a question.

03:05:08 - 03:05:29 | Speaker 3:

I don't mind it at the holidays. I don't like it during the year. I don't like it after that. Not that we just only give during the holidays, but I agree that when you're doing it during the year, everybody has it. And I hate, first off, the worst is Chipotle. Chipotle does this all the time. Chipotle does it on the app. You ever order on the app?

03:05:29 - 03:05:30 | Speaker 1:

I say no to everything.

03:05:30 - 03:05:31 | Speaker 3:

Do you?

03:05:31 - 03:05:33 | Speaker 1:

Taco Bell has it on me. Terms and agreements on your Apple?

03:05:34 - 03:05:34 | Unknown:

Really?

03:05:34 - 03:05:35 | Speaker 3:

You say no to that? No.

03:05:35 - 03:05:45 | Speaker 1:

I mean, any time they ask me to round up, I hit no. And I have no qualms about it. You don't even look at the charity. It's the easiest decision of my day. You don't feel judged? Hell no. Judge me all you want. I mean, no.

03:05:46 - 03:05:48 | Speaker 9:

Let me ask you guys this. It took me a second to get there. I no longer feel judged.

03:05:48 - 03:05:52 | Speaker 3:

What about walking in and out of stores and having somebody selling stuff to you?

03:05:52 - 03:05:55 | Speaker 1:

I don't care about them kids and they M&M's. I say I'm sorry, bro.

03:05:55 - 03:06:01 | Speaker 3:

I don't got it. Well, I cannot stop giving to the Salvation Army people, but I've got to be honest. I don't have dollars in singles.

03:06:02 - 03:06:04 | Speaker 1:

That's the thing. I don't have cash. I'm sorry.

03:06:05 - 03:06:13 | Speaker 3:

And now they get you with the credit card thing, which I get. But if I make one donation, can I wear a sticker, like I voted sticker? You know what I mean?

03:06:14 - 03:06:21 | Speaker 10:

I just say Merry Christmas or Happy Holidays, but I never have cash on me.

03:06:21 - 03:06:26 | Speaker 9:

I think I have a $2 bill in my wallet right now, and that's from the Tooth Fairy when I was like seven years old. But for some weird reason, I still carry it around.

03:06:26 - 03:06:57 | Speaker 3:

I wish they gave you a badge because no matter what, I know what happens. If somebody that's ringing the bell is there and they go, oh, isn't that the guy from the radio? That guy's cheap and he doesn't do it. So I always feel like I have to give something. Otherwise, they're going to look at me. And honestly, I'd like to have like my secret pass, like where I said, hey, I gave it bushes or something, you know. So you're not doing it out the goodness of your heart. No, I'm giving because of I don't want people to shame me. I don't know.

03:06:58 - 03:07:12 | Speaker 10:

By the way, we've all worked in retail in here, right? Like, did you ever judge people when they didn't round up or give a donation? Let's ask. I didn't. Yes, because I didn't know that it was for the company's tax write-off. So I would be like, why don't you care about other people?

03:07:12 - 03:07:17 | Speaker 3:

844-MOJO-LIVE, 844-665-6548 is our telephone number. What's up, Barb? Hi.

03:07:19 - 03:07:29 | Speaker 8:

Hi. I just wanted to let you know that Dick's Sporting Goods, they do donate to the local youth sports. Oh, that's good to know.

03:07:29 - 03:07:30 | Unknown:

Yeah.

03:07:30 - 03:07:50 | Speaker 8:

Yeah. So, like, any of the Macomb County stores that collect to the Roundup, that goes to the Macomb County youth underprivileged kids. Okay. I'm glad you're so nice. Same thing with Oakland County stores. They only donate to the youth sports for the underprivileged in Michigan County.

03:07:50 - 03:07:54 | Speaker 3:

Yeah, that's nice to know. Thank you for telling us, Barb. What's up, Allison? Hi.

03:07:55 - 03:08:25 | Speaker 7:

Good morning. So, Megan, you got me hyped on this, okay? Because it drives me nuts every single time I go into a store. I work for education. And every time I go to Taco Bell, they ask me if I want to round up. And I always say, I'll round out if you give it to me so I can give it to my classroom. Like, we never see it. We never see it. I work in special education, and it's only December, and we've already run out of our funds.

03:08:25 - 03:08:29 | Speaker 3:

Oh, Jesus. Wow. Oh, man. Where are you at? What schools are you with?

03:08:30 - 03:08:33 | Speaker 7:

I cannot say, but I'm in the Rochester School District.

03:08:33 - 03:08:41 | Speaker 3:

Oh, we got to try to see what we can do to help you. Let us know what we can do to help you and try to see if we can come through or something. What's up, Stacey? Hi.

03:08:42 - 03:09:00 | Speaker 5:

Hi. I've seen this on Instagram and heard that the companies actually donate to the charity one time a year, and then they're asking you if you want to donate to replenish their money that they've donated. That's kind of what Megan was saying. Yes.

03:09:00 - 03:09:00 | Speaker 2:

Yeah.

03:09:00 - 03:09:05 | Speaker 5:

Yeah. I know the valability of that, but...

03:09:05 - 03:09:08 | Speaker 2:

What's that? The valability? What did you say? Validity?

03:09:09 - 03:09:10 | Speaker 1:

I like her.

03:09:10 - 03:09:13 | Speaker 2:

I love her stuff. I like her.

03:09:13 - 03:09:14 | Speaker 1:

Sounds like a flower.

03:09:14 - 03:09:14 | Speaker 2:

Validility.

03:09:15 - 03:09:16 | Speaker 1:

I'll take a bunch of validilities, please.

03:09:18 - 03:09:19 | Speaker 3:

What's up, Kim?

03:09:19 - 03:09:20 | Speaker 1:

She ain't gonna never call again.

03:09:21 - 03:09:23 | Speaker 3:

What's going on? Hi, how are you? Good, what's going on?

03:09:24 - 03:09:29 | Speaker 6:

Well, I wanted to let you know that the roundup for Ronald McDonald Houses was 100% state local.

03:09:30 - 03:09:32 | Speaker 3:

To our local house?

03:09:32 - 03:09:32 | Speaker 6:

It is?

03:09:33 - 03:09:33 | Speaker 4:

Yeah.

03:09:33 - 03:09:43 | Speaker 6:

The Ronald McDonald Houses, there's four in Michigan. and probably close to $800 to $8 million a year goes back to those Ronald McDonald's.

03:09:43 - 03:09:44 | Speaker 10:

And they are incredible.

03:09:45 - 03:09:57 | Speaker 3:

Yeah, they do great things. We've had a number of people that we know that their families have had to have their kids in Children's Hospital and then say at Ronald McDonald's. What's going on, Evelyn?

03:09:58 - 03:10:00 | Speaker 8:

Good morning, you guys. Morning.

03:10:00 - 03:10:10 | Speaker 4:

what's up what's up i think every monday you should have a mega minute monday okay because tell them it is around this time they always want you to roll up something or donate something

03:10:10 - 03:10:33 | Speaker 2:

only person i can say no to the kids interesting mm-hmm uh uh so i think i think if i if we took away the the tax benefit for these corporations right because it's a write-off for them if we took that away i would round up all the time all the time yes all the time but around this year

03:10:33 - 03:10:47 | Speaker 4:

like a portion on you yeah it's about to be on my phone as long as we get off round up round i know i know they're all listening to us billy what's up how's it going good what's going on

03:10:47 - 03:11:10 | Speaker 3:

billy you know as a truck driver you know there's a lot of these truck stops and they They always ask me to round up, and it's some corporation that has been in there for the longest time, and I always say no because it's just ridiculous. It's not just one time a year. It's all the time now.

03:11:11 - 03:11:22 | Speaker 6:

Man. So the truck stops do it. Do they ever donate to the lot lizards that are out there? We don't call them that.

03:11:22 - 03:11:30 | Speaker 3:

We call them recreational reptiles now. They upgraded their level. They rebranded.

03:11:31 - 03:11:33 | Speaker 2:

Oh, my God. That was so funny.

03:11:33 - 03:11:39 | Speaker 6:

Billy, where is the best ones in your driving area? Like, where are the best ones?

03:11:40 - 03:11:43 | Speaker 3:

Well, I'm in Battle Creek right now, so I'm in.

03:11:44 - 03:11:47 | Speaker 6:

Not so bad? Just off 94 there? What do you got, the pilot over there?

03:11:48 - 03:12:06 | Speaker 3:

Yeah, I mean, they've actually calmed down. Really, really great. Like, you know, it used to be really bad where you couldn't sleep at night. You'd have a knock on your door. Now you can actually get somewhat of a sleep without somebody hitting you. That's the next greatest thing.

03:12:06 - 03:12:10 | Speaker 6:

Wait, when they're knocking on the door, what are they asking for? Are they wanting, like, a...

03:12:10 - 03:12:13 | Speaker 2:

Is there a certain knock that they do so you know it's a...

03:12:13 - 03:12:13 | Speaker 6:

A lizard knock?

03:12:14 - 03:12:24 | Speaker 3:

Well, it's not like that knock three times. You know, it's, hey, do you want me to clean your truck? Do you want me to do something, you know? Oh, okay.

03:12:24 - 03:12:26 | Speaker 2:

So it's not just a scratching on the door late at night.

03:12:27 - 03:12:37 | Speaker 3:

Sorry. If I'm going to pay somebody, you better clean the truck, polish my rims, or do my logbook. I mean, other than that, I ain't going to pay you for nothing else.

03:12:40 - 03:12:44 | Speaker 6:

All right. Well, thank you. Thank you so much for being on with us, buddy. Appreciate you.

03:12:45 - 03:12:47 | Speaker 3:

You too. You guys have a good morning.

03:12:47 - 03:12:49 | Speaker 6:

Merry Christmas. All right. That was a Megan Minute.

03:12:50 - 03:13:04 | Speaker 1:

WKQI Detroit. WSNX, Mesquite and Grand Rapids. WBKS Toledo. Three great stations. One stupid show. This is Mojo in the Morning. Live.

03:13:06 - 03:13:39 | Speaker 6:

We're out on location for breaking and entering Christmas wish. Hi, KP. Hi. This is one that I think you are going to cry with. And the reason I say that, because the story alone is a tearjerker. It's a story about two young guys. Both of them are right around 20, 19, and 20 years old. Michael Dean and Steven are two buddies. They became friends because of the hardship that they had of their parents. And do we have Donna there who is going to read this letter to them? Donna?

03:13:40 - 03:13:40 | Speaker 4:

Hello.

03:13:41 - 03:13:43 | Speaker 6:

Hi. How did you get to know these guys?

03:13:44 - 03:14:06 | Speaker 5:

I have had the pleasure of knowing them for their whole life since they were little. They've been friends since they were about four or five. I know both of their grandmas. Their grandmas worked together as retired teachers. Well, they're retired teachers now, but I've known both families for a very, very long time, and we are very close. So it feels good to help these guys out.

03:14:06 - 03:14:22 | Speaker 6:

That's great. And their circumstances are very similar, but their circumstances could have led to them possibly going in that direction. They had parents that had some struggles, but instead they got together and they have overcome so many odds.

03:14:23 - 03:14:24 | Speaker 5:

Oh, yes, they have.

03:14:24 - 03:14:34 | Speaker 6:

All right. We're going to grant them a wish this morning. Will you guys hang out there? And then Lydia is going to make a phone call here and we're going to see. I don't know, who do you think will pick up the phone?

03:14:36 - 03:14:46 | Speaker 5:

I'm not sure which boy will, but I gave the number, so call. So one of them will definitely answer. It might be Steven. I think I gave his number.

03:14:46 - 03:14:56 | Speaker 6:

Okay. So let's see what happens here. They live together, and let's grant a Christmas wish this morning here on the Mojo and the Morning Show. Hello, Steven.

03:14:58 - 03:14:59 | Speaker 1:

Hello.

03:14:59 - 03:14:59 | Speaker 6:

Is it Steven or...

03:15:00 - 03:15:00 | Speaker 1:

or Michael?

03:15:02 - 03:15:03 | Speaker 4:

Both of us.

03:15:03 - 03:15:07 | Speaker 1:

Steven and Michael. Hi, guys. It's Mojo from Mojo in the Morning Show.

03:15:07 - 03:15:08 | Speaker 3:

Good morning.

03:15:09 - 03:15:40 | Speaker 1:

Good morning, guys. Hey, guys, I hate to call this early in the morning, because I know you guys are very, very busy, but our Mojo in the Morning Show got a letter from one of your biggest supporters ever for our Breaking and Entering Christmas Wish program. That told us that you guys are some amazing guys. That you have done some cool stuff in your lives. Can I have them read the letter to you? Yeah, go for it. Go ahead, Don.

03:15:40 - 03:16:56 | Speaker 2:

Dear Mojo in the morning, I want to tell you about two exceptional young men. This is not just a story about two young men in need. It's not just a story about survival. This is a story about a beautiful, lifelong friendship, a true friendship, and best friends. My name is Donna, and I would like to introduce you to Stephen Phillips and Michael Vest. Stephen grew up without his dad being there. Michael's dad sadly passed away. The boys were both ultimately raised by their grandmothers. The boys grew up without much and still don't have much to this day. They both graduated from high school. Michael went on to enroll in college, while Stephen found his job. Stephen was even faced with homelessness. They have endured countless odds stacked against them, and so much heartache. But they continue to push forward, work hard, and show kindness to others. These young men deserve a wonderful Christmas. They wouldn't have made it if they didn't have each other to lean on and get through the hard times together. Mojo, please help me make this holiday a memorable one for them. Sincerely, Donna.

03:16:57 - 03:17:00 | Speaker 3:

Wow. This is a beautiful story.

03:17:03 - 03:17:05 | Speaker 1:

Yeah. Yes.

03:17:06 - 03:17:14 | Speaker 3:

Thank goodness you had each other to get through everything that was thrown at you. It's a perfect example of chosen family.

03:17:14 - 03:17:25 | Speaker 4:

you chose each other oh yeah since day one until then guys this is amazing to me because

03:17:25 - 03:17:42 | Speaker 1:

i'm like crying just off of donna's uh letter that she sent and i can picture you two guys just buds always there for each other for life that you'll you'll be the best men in each other's weddings you know you'll be there for each other when you guys have your own families i have to

03:17:42 - 03:17:52 | Speaker 3:

tell you, somebody sent us a picture of you guys and you're maybe six or seven years old. Fast forward to now. And there you guys are together.

03:17:55 - 03:18:08 | Speaker 1:

It's pretty cool. Pretty cool. It's been a long run. Uh-oh, we got... We call it breaking and entering Christmas wish because we're breaking in this morning to bring

03:18:08 - 03:18:22 | Speaker 4:

03:18:22 - 03:18:23 | Speaker 1:

03:19:35 - 03:19:56 | Speaker 1:

Hey, we got a bunch of stuff for you guys for Christmas. We want to make sure that this one's a great Christmas. All right. Thank you very much. We did some massive shopping. I mean, we did everything from making sure that you guys had all the cool stuff, you know, that every 20-year-old guy would want. TV with Roku, Xbox systems.

03:19:56 - 03:19:59 | Speaker 3:

Nintendo Switches, everything you need for work.

03:19:59 - 03:19:59 | Speaker 1:

We'll take care of your...

03:20:00 - 03:20:12 | Speaker 6:

streaming services and things like that plus we wanted to make sure that you guys had everything that you would need as far as those going to work clothes yeah yeah and by the way michael and steven

03:20:12 - 03:20:22 | Speaker 5:

we heard that you guys were saving up for a trip to cedar point you can use that money for something else because we're making that happen for you all expenses paid you guys are going to cedar point

03:20:22 - 03:20:56 | Speaker 6:

this summer can can i actually tell that story yeah the story is pretty awesome uh we ended up calling cedar point and we said to cedar point here's the the deal with breaking entering this is the two guys they thought you guys were such a model of what 20 year old guys should be so they're going to set you guys up with all the tickets all the fun fast passes and everything a stay at the Hotel Breakers, which is incredible, plus we'll give you some spending money that you guys can use while you're at Cedar Point when the weather gets finally warm.

03:20:57 - 03:21:05 | Speaker 4:

Grandmas are in shock right now, but grandmas are going to be more in shock when we tell them that we got them stuff, too. We got both of you guys' stuff.

03:21:06 - 03:21:35 | Speaker 6:

Yeah, we can't forget about you guys. Yeah, we got a bunch of stuff for you guys. Everything that you guys will need to help feed these guys, because we know that you do a great job of doing that. All the cooking wear and things like that. We're going to also have Kroger stock the shells that you guys have with fresh food, okay? Kroger's such a great partner with us. But I want to know, so Grandma Denise and Grandma Susie, you guys became great friends. And you're carrying it on to these guys.

03:21:37 - 03:21:38 | Speaker 4:

Thank you.

03:21:38 - 03:21:39 | Speaker 6:

They're good guys.

03:21:41 - 03:21:42 | Speaker 4:

Yeah, they are.

03:21:42 - 03:21:52 | Speaker 5:

They've been but what a testament to both of you because you raised these young men to be the people that they

03:21:52 - 03:22:05 | Speaker 4:

are today and that's all you guys and they really they really really are they've been through a few struggles yeah yeah they have but they got each other and that's the best thing that's a fact

03:22:05 - 03:23:10 | Speaker 3:

i want to talk to michael and steven can you guys hear me yeah hey guys my name is my name is kev and um obviously i'm a part of the mojo in the morning showing team and i read it in your story that both of you guys have had parents that were incarcerated and everybody's situation is different but my father was incarcerated when i was younger and for me that was a very lonely experience even though I have family, not everybody knew what I felt like.

03:23:10 - 03:23:16 | Speaker 5:

I love that. God, that is beautiful. I love it. Thank you very much. I cannot go a day this week without crying. I know. I know.

03:23:17 - 03:23:38 | Speaker 6:

Actually, today was supposed to be the guys' days. And Kevin just made me cry, too. So, guys, you're a model for truly what this season is all about. And grandmas, you are too. Because you know what? Grandmas are the greatest people ever. There's no bad grandma. And we love you guys.

03:23:39 - 03:23:43 | Speaker 4:

Are you looking to be stopped anymore? This looks like a birthday show.

03:23:43 - 03:23:44 | Speaker 6:

I still have two more grandkids.

03:23:45 - 03:23:48 | Speaker 4:

You're so cute. Yeah, I think I'm done.

03:23:49 - 03:23:53 | Speaker 6:

You guys are like the golden girls of Detroit, I think, aren't you?

03:23:54 - 03:23:57 | Speaker 4:

We even share the same birthday. Oh, my God.

03:23:57 - 03:24:04 | Speaker 6:
