Saw this story everywhere yesterday. Toronto Blue Jays player Anthony Bass has ignited a debate about airplane etiquette. So he posted a photo on Sunday of his two toddler daughters on a flight. I think they were playing on, it looks like iPads or some sort of technology. And you can see in the photos, there's popcorn all over the floor underneath the two little ones in the aisle alongside their seats. Obviously, they had a little snack. His wife was traveling alone with their two children. In the caption, he explained that the flight attendant just made his 22-week pregnant wife, traveling with their five-year-old and two-year-old, get on her hands and knees to pick up the popcorn mess that was made by one of his daughters. He wrote, are you kidding me? Shared the response, shared the photo, took to Twitter to then slam the mom shamers coming after him and his wife. One person replied, a pregnant wife can bend, as in they can bend over and pick up the popcorn. But if they wanted to avoid the situation, he said, people were telling him, maybe don't give your kids popcorn on a plane. He fired back, United Airlines provided the popcorn. Another commenter, a fellow dad, wrote, I have three kids, just flew coach 12 hours, and was able to clean up after them for every mess. It's called parenting. Your child, your responsibility. So a couple of hours later, this is still going on. So Anthony gets on to thank some of his followers for their support and said United is taking care of matters with his flight attendant internally. Sydney's sister, country and reality show star, Jessie James Decker, also slammed United about this, writing on her own social media. As you know, Sydney is five months pregnant. high risk, and also traveling alone with her two small children. My poor sister is on her hands and knees, crying in the aisle, completely humiliated and exhausted with her children while everybody else just sat there and watched. Way to go, United. Apparently, she said that United told her sister that popcorn in the aisle is a safety hazard, and that's why they wanted her to pick it up. But it was so interesting.
