This is the Bishop Statement at Bishop State Community College. We want you to hear what our students, educators, and business leaders have to say.

00:00:53 - 00:01:37 | Speaker 3:

My name is Patrick Fetway, and I am getting my Associates of Science and General Education with an emphasis in business administration. To me, it was a no-brainer. When you go out here and you're looking for funding to go back to college as a 40-year-old man, I got six people in my household. The extra money just doesn't just grow out of trees. For me to be able to be accepted through FAFSA and to have Bishop State pay for all of my tuition, not only that, but the curriculums, you know, they make it so easy to understand on their website. Like I said, I'm a 40-year-old man, so I don't use technology too much, but it was very understandable where I needed to go. It was extremely fast. These past two years, things have just moved in a total different type of way. It's like its own moving entity to see things manifest the way that they do.

00:02:42 - 00:04:50 | Speaker 4:

Mojo in the Morning Show. Hope you had a great weekend. Congratulations to all the graduates. I saw that Kieran Wess' son, your stepson, graduated from high school. It was so cool to see those pictures. Beautiful. You guys all look great. What a handsome guy that guy is. Congrats, Kieran. Man, and then I went to a graduation party this weekend, and our boss's son, Nick, graduated. Congrats, Nick. Congrats, Nick. Nick graduated from Milford High School, and I am going to go on record to say this to you, And I used to say all the time that the nicest people in the world were in West Michigan. Maybe it's as west as you go outside of Detroit is when people just become really nice. Because there's a town called Milford, Michigan. If you've never been there before, it's a beautiful town. It's got a cool little downtown area. I have never met a bad person from Milford. And you may be able to prove it to me that there was some kind of like former murderer or something that lived in that city. I don't believe that that's the case. I don't believe that bad people live in Milford. Like, it's crazy. Every time, Chelsea and I went to Nick's graduation, and that's where our boss Tony lives. And we got a chance to meet his friends and neighbors and stuff. And these are the nicest human beings I have ever in my life ever met. And I'm like, can we have a couple of you in West Bloomfield? Like, I mean, I'm telling you. What is it? I don't know. But, I mean, listen, I've got nice neighbors, but I've got some that are a pain in the ass. I want to have nice people like these people that are here. I told Tony Travato, I'm like, you don't deserve this. And here might be the reason why. You know, our homes are all, like, on top of each other. He lives on a farm. Tony, our boss, what is he, head of programming or something? He's got a VP in his name or some kind of, yeah. Yeah, like regional type guy. So I pull up to his house, which is a farm, and there's, like, literally a barn, and there's animals, and there's, you know, like, you don't see his neighbor right next to each other. Like, the homes are spread out and stuff.

00:04:50 - 00:05:00 | Speaker 5:

So, it's a legit farm. It's a farm. I knew he had goats, and he has chickens and stuff, but does he have, like, fields and a tractor?

00:05:00 - 00:05:13 | Speaker 2:

He's got a track. Shannon, I'm not going to lie to you. Like, I pull up in this thing, and I'm like, Old MacDonald, where are you? You know what I mean? Like, I want to know where the heck you are. Old Travato.

00:05:13 - 00:05:16 | Speaker 1:

Were the animals out for the party? Old MacDonald.

00:05:16 - 00:05:28 | Speaker 2:

Well, the animals were kind of back, I guess, by the, he kind of kept them away from all the graduation action. Okay. Because he does have a swimming pool, by the way. Our boss has a swimming pool. That's not a far.

00:05:29 - 00:05:29 | Speaker 3:

That's not a far.

00:05:30 - 00:05:33 | Speaker 2:

He's got a swimming pool, and he never invited us over for a pool party.

00:05:33 - 00:05:36 | Speaker 1:

Are you kidding me? Okay, does it smell like a farm? No, it's crazy.

00:05:37 - 00:05:56 | Speaker 2:

I think if I went closer to the barn, we were far from the barn. Like, we were right by the house, and we were close. I wanted to walk around, but, you know, it's one of those things, like, whenever we go over to each other's houses, the first thing we look for is your sex drawer, where all the sex toys and things are. I don't think Tony has one of those. I think Tony's got a crazy sex drawer with animals on it.

00:05:56 - 00:05:57 | Speaker 4:

No way.

00:05:57 - 00:06:39 | Speaker 2:

but it was it was wild uh you guys and i was thinking this would be a perfect place for us as a radio station to have like a get together a bonfire yes you like you would not i don't think you'd ever get in trouble like if you had a bonfire at your house shannon you'd have the fire department over there 30 seconds it'd be they're you know giving you like some kind of a fine or something for this. There, it's like another bonfire. Are there any listeners that listen to us that are on a farm? Like, I don't think of Toledo or, you know, Detroit or Grand Rapids as farmland, you know what I mean? But I guess we are the Midwest, right?

00:06:39 - 00:06:42 | Speaker 3:

Did you get to go in the barn at all? I wanted to.

00:06:43 - 00:07:18 | Speaker 2:

Because you know what I wanted to do? I wanted to cow tip. I remember when I was younger, we had a bunch of guys that used to go to this, there was like one farm close to where I grew up on the south side of Chicago and every year, like when it was homecoming week, somebody would try to steal a cow to bring to our school's pep rally and one year, some guy did cow tipping and cow tipping became a big deal. In our school, we had to all have like an assembly where all of us had to go there and somebody had to admit to the fact that they cow tipped because if you tip over a cow, you know what I mean? Yeah, it's bad. You got to try to help them up.

00:07:18 - 00:07:19 | Speaker 3:

Is that, do they tip over sideways?

00:07:21 - 00:07:26 | Speaker 2:

They kind of just fall on their side and then they're done. I don't think they actually land on their back.

00:07:27 - 00:07:41 | Speaker 1:

Okay, so what was the food like? And I ask this question because a graduation party at a farm with animals, I'd be super suspicious of like. It'd be fresh. Well. That's what I mean. I couldn't do it. They had their party. I couldn't eat a damn thing except for like mac and cheese.

00:07:41 - 00:07:58 | Speaker 2:

They had their party early. So their party early was breakfast-y type stuff. So they had a bagel bar, a donut bar Then they had french toast They had eggs They had bacon that they probably killed a cow Or a pig for That's a pig Oh yeah

00:07:58 - 00:08:03 | Speaker 1:

Did you ask Tony if it was any of his friends?

00:08:03 - 00:08:17 | Speaker 2:

No, I think that they got the food Catered in from Some place that was close Even the eggs? Because Tony's a big egg guy I don't know, it's funny Do we have Tony Travato up this early in the morning, or do you think?

00:08:18 - 00:08:19 | Speaker 3:

He's got to be milking something.

00:08:19 - 00:08:20 | Speaker 2:

You think so?

00:08:20 - 00:08:20 | Speaker 3:

Yes.

00:08:21 - 00:08:22 | Speaker 1:

Does he milk cows before he comes to work?

00:08:22 - 00:08:24 | Speaker 3:

Tony looks like a cow milker.

00:08:24 - 00:08:25 | Speaker 1:

We got to ask him.

00:08:25 - 00:08:30 | Speaker 3:

Really? Come on now. Tony got the overalls with the high waterproof boots. I can see it.

00:08:30 - 00:08:50 | Speaker 2:

Try to see if you can get Tony on the phone, because I'd like to know if Tony has to get up early in the morning to go and feed the animals. Like, maybe it's not too early for him, but what's going on? Shanita, how are you? It's Mojo in the morning. I got to put you right there. Go ahead. You there, Shanita? Hold on a second. Shanita?

00:08:51 - 00:08:51 | Speaker 3:

Shanita.

00:08:52 - 00:08:59 | Speaker 2:

Oh, no, no. You're right there. Hold on. Stay right there. I don't have the phone lines all set up right. There you go. There you are. I got you click. What's going on, Shanita?

00:09:00 - 00:09:05 | Speaker 4:

Are you being serious about Milford? Because Milford is like a straight-up sundown town. Like, let's be for real.

00:09:06 - 00:09:06 | Speaker 2:

What do you mean?

00:09:07 - 00:09:15 | Speaker 4:

Educate. Like, you're like, they're the nicest people ever. Oh, my God. And for real, Milford is a sundown town.

00:09:15 - 00:09:17 | Speaker 2:

What does it mean to be a sundown town?

00:09:17 - 00:09:24 | Speaker 4:

Educate. Sundown town where blacks are not welcome, other races are not welcome, white people are I saw black people there.

00:09:26 - 00:09:31 | Speaker 2:

Honestly, Shanita, I don't know. I never heard about that. No, I think you're...

00:09:31 - 00:09:35 | Speaker 4:

Okay, well, I mean, there's so many ways to look that up. No, no.

00:09:35 - 00:09:38 | Speaker 2:

I think Howell. You're talking about Howell, Michigan, aren't you?

00:09:38 - 00:09:40 | Speaker 3:

That's one, too. I don't know how I'm talking about Milford.

00:09:41 - 00:09:56 | Speaker 2:

Well, let me just say this to you. On the way home, I stopped off at one of the stores that were there because I had to pick something up to go to another thing that we were going to. And I saw black people, and they weren't just working in the stores.

00:09:56 - 00:09:59 | Speaker 3:

They weren't just working. I've never been to Milford like that. I've never had a desk.

00:10:00 - 00:10:02 | Speaker 1:

I can't confirm it or not.

00:10:02 - 00:10:06 | Speaker 2:

It's right there by Novi and by Walled Lake and by Brighton.

00:10:07 - 00:10:07 | Speaker 1:

I've never been.

00:10:07 - 00:10:09 | Speaker 2:

What's going on, Cam? Hi.

00:10:10 - 00:10:11 | Speaker 4:

Hi.

00:10:11 - 00:10:12 | Speaker 2:

What's happening?

00:10:13 - 00:10:15 | Speaker 4:

Growing up, have you ever heard of Marlette?

00:10:16 - 00:10:19 | Speaker 2:

Say that again, your phone cut out. Growing up, do I ever hear what?

00:10:20 - 00:10:22 | Speaker 4:

Have you ever heard of Marlette?

00:10:22 - 00:10:24 | Speaker 2:

Marlette, no. Where's Marlette?

00:10:25 - 00:10:29 | Speaker 4:

Marlette is considered the heart of the thumb, and we are surrounded by Amish neighbors.

00:10:29 - 00:10:42 | Speaker 2:

are you serious i'm obsessed with amish i think it's i think it's it's you know the reality show you know your amish life or whatever it is i love the amish that i used to watch that that was

00:10:42 - 00:10:48 | Speaker 4:

actually like the greatest i love it um yeah it's not that crazy but it's pretty funny that's awesome

00:10:48 - 00:10:55 | Speaker 2:

uh tanisha what's up tanisha it's mojo in the morning i'm just here to talk to shanita i used

00:10:55 - 00:11:08 | Speaker 4:

I used to live in Milford, and it is not no sundown town. It is just fine. Everybody was welcoming. I don't know what she's talking about. Maybe she just had personally a bad experience. I don't know. But living out there, I was fine.

00:11:09 - 00:11:10 | Speaker 2:

Where do you live now, Tanisha?

00:11:11 - 00:11:24 | Speaker 4:

I live in Wayne now. I lived in West Boonfield, graduated from West Boonfield. All right. Go Lakers. So then we moved. Thank you. So then we moved to Milford, and now I live in Wayne with my husband. But Milford is fine.

00:11:24 - 00:11:25 | Speaker 2:

Yeah, it's a beautiful area.

00:11:26 - 00:11:27 | Speaker 1:

Hey, everybody, welcome in Milford.

00:11:27 - 00:11:35 | Speaker 2:

Hey, hold on a second. Our boss, Tony Travato, is on with us right now, feeding the animals right now on the farm. Tony, how are you?

00:11:38 - 00:11:40 | Speaker 3:

It's early, but they have to eat, right?

00:11:40 - 00:11:43 | Speaker 1:

Okay, Tony, so you seriously get up and go feed all the animals every day?

00:11:45 - 00:11:47 | Speaker 3:

No. They're not that much work.

00:11:47 - 00:11:48 | Speaker 1:

Really?

00:11:48 - 00:11:50 | Speaker 4:

Who feeds them? Whose job is that?

00:11:51 - 00:11:58 | Speaker 3:

I've got a few chickens and a couple of goats. I don't have, we're like light farmers.

00:11:58 - 00:12:04 | Speaker 1:

So the bacon that Mojo ate was not from anybody on your farm? Are you sure?

00:12:04 - 00:12:34 | Speaker 2:

I just want to make sure. These guys all thought. It did from Kroger. It did? Okay. Tony, I have to tell you, I thought that not only was it a spectacular graduation party, but I am obsessed, and my wife even more so is obsessed, with your way that you live, that you live on a farm. Chelsea likes it so much because you don't get to see neighbors. Like, for Chelsea, Chelsea's not wanting to see anybody. Yeah. Like, she's kind of, like, wants to be by herself. But that was pretty cool.

00:12:35 - 00:12:45 | Speaker 3:

Well, you can walk out the back door. It doesn't matter what you're wearing. Nobody's going to see whatever you have on or don't.

00:12:45 - 00:12:59 | Speaker 2:

Do you leave? I know this is bad for you to answer because some people, you know, will assume I'm going to go to your house and rob it. But do you just walk out your door and not lock it? Like, I, like, triple lock and then turn on my ADT. Like, what do you do when you leave your house?

00:13:00 - 00:13:01 | Speaker 3:

Oh, no, you still lock the door.

00:13:02 - 00:13:02 | Speaker 2:

Okay.

00:13:02 - 00:13:03 | Speaker 3:

All right.

00:13:03 - 00:13:05 | Speaker 2:

Yeah. That was.

00:13:05 - 00:13:13 | Speaker 3:

In fact, I think you lock it more because you don't know if, you know, somebody is hiding in the bushes or whatever, you know.

00:13:13 - 00:13:43 | Speaker 2:

They're a date line. Or this isn't Canada. It's some animal. Some animal hiding. I have to tell you that it was so cool to see that this is your way of life. And I think that, what is the Radio Trade Magazine? Is it Inc. or Radio Inc.? Radio Inc., yeah. Can they do a profile on the fact that this man, like, by day programs radio stations in major market cities. By night, he's got a freaking set of chickens. Yeah, and goats and stuff. This is unbelievable.

00:13:43 - 00:13:50 | Speaker 3:

well i mean it's just hey we're all different right we've all got i love different things we

00:13:50 - 00:13:54 | Speaker 1:

do and different places we live we want to know if we can have a bonfire at your house

00:13:54 - 00:14:12 | Speaker 2:

come on out come on out plenty of space how do you know he's not having one right now we're gonna smell you we're gonna come in here you know you always smell like a bonfire after a bonfire um did did nick have a good graduation yesterday tony were you emotional it was awesome

00:14:12 - 00:14:15 | Speaker 3:

Yes. In fact, you and I were texting half the time.

00:14:15 - 00:14:16 | Speaker 2:

I told him to put his phone away.

00:14:16 - 00:14:19 | Speaker 3:

At the graduation. Yeah, he did, actually.

00:14:19 - 00:14:29 | Speaker 2:

The guy's like sending research. This is the thing that guys like Tom Pullman need to understand. This is why this guy works so well for her.

00:14:29 - 00:14:31 | Speaker 1:

He never stops working. He never stops.

00:14:31 - 00:14:38 | Speaker 2:

Work don't stop. Did Brooke give you the evil eye look like Chelsea gives me when I'm on my phone at a moment like that?

00:14:39 - 00:14:45 | Speaker 3:

She did. Yeah. She did. She stopped answering me. She was only three seats down, but she stopped answering me.

00:14:46 - 00:14:50 | Speaker 1:

Tony, any transferable skills from the farm to the office?

00:14:52 - 00:14:52 | Speaker 3:

Any what?

00:14:53 - 00:14:59 | Speaker 1:

Transferable skills? Means, is there any similarities?

00:15:00 - 00:15:36 | Speaker 3:

Yes, yes. Is it taking care of all of us? Yeah, hurting. Awesome, awesome party, Tony, on Saturday, and your son Nick is the best. You've got the greatest kids. Emily, I want to kidnap Emily. We never got a daughter. She'd be like the daughter you'd want to have. She's the best, yes. I agree. Tell her if she ever wants to get off the farm. Chelsea and I will adopt. All right, buddy, I'll see you in a little bit here when you get back to the studios. Bring some eggs. Do you think you'll smell him when he walks in, Shannon, just to see if he smells anything like farm animals?

00:15:36 - 00:15:38 | Speaker 5:

He looks slightly creepy, but...

00:15:38 - 00:15:50 | Speaker 3:

Start sniffing, Tony, and see. Oh, my God, it smells like a cow pie. A cow pie. We'll talk to you later, Tony. Hi, Tony. Tony was in bed, wasn't he, Lydia? Did you wake him up out of bed?

00:15:50 - 00:15:51 | Speaker 1:

Yeah, I did.

00:15:51 - 00:16:05 | Speaker 3:

Next time, by the way, that you do wake him up, let me do it, and I'm just going to do this for him. time for work all right we'll talk to you later buddy how smart are you it's mojo in the mornings

00:16:05 - 00:16:10 | Speaker 4:

back in the day we have to go back in time where we give you a bunch of events can you tell us

00:16:10 - 00:16:30 | Speaker 3:

what year it happened what are you doing why why do you have is this is this really legit what do you mean a tv reporter why do we keep doing these tv reporters i don't know you're obsessed with this A TV reporter asked a man how he would spend the $1.3 billion jackpot if he won the lottery.

00:16:30 - 00:16:33 | Speaker 2:

Can I ask you, if you won all the money, what would you do with it?

00:16:34 - 00:16:35 | Speaker 3:

Bunch of hookers and cocaine.

00:16:35 - 00:16:38 | Speaker 2:

That's not good. We were hoping for a different answer.

00:16:39 - 00:16:41 | Speaker 3:

Kevin Hart's Central Intelligence was the big movie.

00:16:41 - 00:17:06 | Speaker 4:

I need your skill set to save the entire free world. You ready? No! Sweet, let's go. No, I said no! What year was it? Good luck. You talk a big game in the car. Now prove how smart you are. Tell us the year this stuff happened. 844-MOJO-LIVE. 844-665-6548. It's Mojo in the mornings. Back in the day. What year was this?

00:17:07 - 00:17:14 | Speaker 3:

All right, three clues. All three things happened in the same year. It was the year that the big lottery jackpot was like $1.3 billion in this reporter.

00:17:14 - 00:17:18 | Speaker 2:

Can I ask you, if you won all the money, what would you do with it?

00:17:18 - 00:17:19 | Speaker 3:

Bunch of hookers and cocaine.

00:17:19 - 00:17:23 | Speaker 2:

Oh, okay, that's not good. We were hoping for a different answer.

00:17:23 - 00:17:29 | Speaker 3:

I love that. I love when a TV person gets caught off guard. Kevin Hart and The Rock starred in Central Intelligence.

00:17:29 - 00:17:33 | Speaker 4:

I need your skill set to save the entire free world. You ready? No.

00:17:34 - 00:17:35 | Speaker 3:

Sweet. Let's go.

00:17:35 - 00:17:35 | Speaker 4:

No, I said no.

00:17:36 - 00:17:50 | Speaker 3:

What year was it, Jeff? 2016. Give it to him. Yeah, Jeff. We got tickets to see Halsey. Congratulations. Next week, you're going to go see her on June the 11th at Pine Up.

00:17:50 - 00:17:52 | Speaker 4:

Sounds good. and my daughter's going to love that.

00:17:52 - 00:17:54 | Speaker 3:

Oh, man, congratulations. How old is your daughter, Jeff?

00:17:55 - 00:17:57 | Speaker 4:

She's 10. She's going to be 11 this year. That's cool.

00:17:57 - 00:17:58 | Speaker 3:

First concert for her?

00:18:00 - 00:18:02 | Speaker 4:

Actually, I took her to see Ed Sheeran.

00:18:02 - 00:18:04 | Speaker 3:

Oh, my gosh, what a dad you are.

00:18:04 - 00:18:04 | Speaker 4:

Yeah.

00:18:05 - 00:18:06 | Speaker 3:

Nice job. All right, hang on.

00:18:06 - 00:18:09 | Speaker 4:

I was able to do the Taylor Swift, but Ed Sheeran, she loved.

00:18:09 - 00:18:18 | Speaker 3:

You know what? Hey, those tickets were ridiculous for Taylor Swift. Yep. Hang on one second. We'll get you set up with everything. Jeff, have a great morning. Appreciate you, man.

00:18:18 - 00:18:25 | Speaker 4:

All right, you as well. Thank you. mojo in the mornings dirty on the 30 shannon's gonna get us caught up on what's trending in

00:18:25 - 00:19:09 | Speaker 5:

the dirty on the 30 what's up shannon buffalo bills quarterback josh allen and hailey steinfeld got married in california on saturday after two years of dating they've kept their relationship very very private for the most part and out of the spotlight their wedding was kind of the same there i am i love celebrity weddings trying to look at all these grainy paparazzi photos from like a drone or something, which is so creepy. But comedian Larry David made a very unexpected appearance at the wedding. And people were like, what the heck is he doing here? Especially given his well-known allegiance to the New York Jets, which is obviously a rival team in the AFC East. Is he friends with? So it turns out he is a client of Haley Steinfeld's dad.

00:19:09 - 00:19:14 | Speaker 3:

Oh, what does Haley Steinfeld's dad do? He's a trainer. Really?

00:19:14 - 00:19:15 | Speaker 5:

Of some sort.

00:19:15 - 00:19:17 | Speaker 3:

Really? Like a personal trainer?

00:19:17 - 00:19:23 | Speaker 5:

I don't know. I just heard trainer. So he was very randomly there.

00:19:23 - 00:19:23 | Speaker 3:

Wow.

00:19:23 - 00:19:24 | Speaker 5:

Yeah.

00:19:24 - 00:19:25 | Speaker 3:

That's kind of wild.

00:19:25 - 00:19:28 | Speaker 5:

She looked beautiful, again, from the very grainy photos that I saw.

00:19:28 - 00:19:58 | Speaker 3:

That is an interesting matchup, though, isn't it? That those two guys are together. I like Josh Allen. I wonder if she's going to have to live in Buffalo. Like, will that be something that, that, that wouldn't, you know, no offense to, to Hollywood types, but Hollywood types don't seem like living in Detroit or Buffalo seems like it's going to be a lot of fun for them. Although the Goffs love living here. They love Michigan. Yeah. So, defer.

00:19:58 - 00:19:59 | Speaker 5:

Rihanna's dad, Richard Fenton.

00:20:00 - 00:20:35 | Speaker 1:

he passed away over the weekend at the age of 70 following a brief illness. We don't really have many details. We do know he was surrounded by family when he passed away, and we kind of got tipped off because last week on Wednesday, Rihanna's youngest brother was photographed arriving at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center in LA. Rihanna there as well. She was in the vehicle. She was not photographed. She has not yet, as far as I have seen, commented on her dad's passing. Friday night was NBC Nightly News' Lester Holtz last time. Less! Encourring the broadcast after nearly a decade behind that desk.

00:20:36 - 00:20:50 | Speaker 3:

You hit a certain age and you start kind of thinking, what's the back part of my career going to look like? I've been having that conversation with myself and those close to me, you know, for a couple of years now. But the timing just seemed right. And I never wanted to be one of those people that was totally associated with just one thing.

00:20:50 - 00:20:54 | Speaker 1:

He's going to focus on his role as the host of Dateline from this point forward.

00:20:55 - 00:21:04 | Speaker 2:

Wait, are people watching nightly news? Because I saw some of the ratings for these things, and I feel like we have more ratings on our show than they get on some of these nightly news shows.

00:21:04 - 00:21:07 | Speaker 1:

If I have the TV on, I'll just randomly throw it on just because I want to know what's happening.

00:21:08 - 00:21:46 | Speaker 2:

I feel like news over the last, I don't know, few years, actually more than that, probably since the 2016 election, nobody's watching news anymore. They all just go to the internet and go get their own news. I agree with you. Lester Holt was a guy that I worked with. He was in, so when I worked as an intern in Chicago at B96, Lester Holt was the weekend anchor on CBS2 Detroit, or CBS2 Chicago, and I would work the weekend shifts, and I would get off, and he would get off, and we would literally walk out at the same time.

00:21:46 - 00:21:47 | Speaker 1:

I did not know that I...

00:21:47 - 00:22:23 | Speaker 2:

I'm going to be completely honest with you on this one. I thought he was like the nicest guy in the world. He was one of the only people that would talk. And I would always ask him questions about, there was a guy that was a news anchor that you might have seen back in the day. He was always on like movies and stuff. And I think he was in the movie Anchorman. But I was obsessed with a guy named Bill Curtis, who he was the main anchor at that station. And if you Google Bill Curtis, you may have seen him before or seen him before because he was like the typical. And all we would do is make Bill Curtis impersonations with each other. We would make fun of Bill Curtis. I'm Bill Curtis. I am an idiot. Like we would do stuff like that.

00:22:23 - 00:22:35 | Speaker 1:

Can I tell you something? You know how they always do those blind items of, like, have you ever worked for a celebrity or worked, you know, at a network or whatever? And everybody says that same thing about Lester Holt. He's the nicest guy. Kindest, most genuine human being.

00:22:35 - 00:22:48 | Speaker 2:

And his son is one of Chad Mitchell, our old producers, like, best buddies in the world. And his son's actually an up-and-coming guy, too, that I would bet. I know he works in Chicago right now. I think he's on, like, one of the affiliates there, maybe the NBC or ABC affiliate.

00:22:48 - 00:23:40 | Speaker 1:

And lastly, a man is suing Walt Disney World's Blizzard Beat, claiming he suffered permanent catastrophic injuries on the downhill double dipper water slide. This guy's name is Eugene Strickland, and he alleges that during a July 2021 visit, he went airborne going down this slide. And it caused his inner tube to kind of like dislodge. And then he had a really hard impact when he got to the bottom. At the time, Eugene weighed approximately 335 pounds, exceeding the slide's 300-pound weight limit. He is seeking more than $50,000 in damages, and he's accusing Disney of negligence for failing to adequately warn guests about the slide's dangerous conditions. Now, I don't know if there was a sign posted, because usually there is, right, with a weight limit or saying if you're plugging in or have a heart condition, please do not do this.

00:23:40 - 00:23:43 | Speaker 2:

Do you know how many times I have seen that sign about weight limit and have ignored it?

00:23:43 - 00:23:46 | Speaker 1:

Yeah, so they're trying to figure out if that happened here.

00:23:46 - 00:23:58 | Speaker 2:

You got jelly in your belly, you little fat fat. I'm not going to lie to you. I've ignored that. I've ignored the height signs. Yeah. I mean, I remember one time getting on a ride, and it just barely closed on me.

00:23:59 - 00:24:02 | Speaker 1:

Doesn't that worry? I would worry about falling out.

00:24:02 - 00:24:19 | Speaker 2:

I'm more embarrassed over the fact that I can't fit on the ride or couldn't fit on the ride at the time. I was like, I can't do this to my kid. I got to get on the ride. But I never realized that you could actually injure yourself because of it. They obviously have to have weight limits on that. But isn't that his own fault? If he ignored it?

00:24:19 - 00:24:25 | Speaker 1:

Yeah, absolutely. Hey, for all of today's Dirty Catch-Up on what you missed, listen to the podcast on the free iHeartRadio app.

This is where we can catch him off guard. Is it Shiana? Is that your name? Shiana? Shiana. Shiana. How are you, Shiana? I'm doing alright. This is one of those ones. Let's see. Oh, really? What's her name? Her name is Isabella. She loves you, Mojo. Oh, well, I love her, too. We love you, too. Hi. How are you, Isabella? You guys are from... Hi, cutie. Hi, how are you? You guys live near Lansing in a town called Diamondale. Yes. Welcome to the show. All right, don't help mom. You can't do that. That'd be illegal. Although, Josh, do you have Jackson with you, your son? Not today. All right. Hopefully tomorrow, though. Okay. I'm going to lock you guys up in a soundproof area, Josh. I actually locked you up and the other guys. We're going to ask the questions. Here we go, guys. Five questions. Whoever gets the most right wins. Ty always goes to the champion. Question number one, Shiana. Lady Gaga has signed on to guest star in season two of Netflix's Wednesday. What classic TV show is Wednesday based off of? Adam McFamily. Question number two. This rapper, real name, Curtis Jackson III, says that he's heading to the Oval Office to talk to President Trump about plans to possibly pardon Diddy. Should he be convicted of charges that he's facing? Who is he better known as? You said Curtis Jackson? Curtis Jackson. Question number three. Among the guests at Robin Thicke's wedding over the weekend was former Lions quarterback Matthew Stafford and his podcaster wife. What's her name? Can you repeat the question? Among the guests at Robin Thicke's wedding over the weekend was former Lions quarterback Matthew Stafford and his podcaster wife. What's her name? Three seconds. Three. Oh, I don't know. Pass. Pass. Yeah, pass. Question number four. The Indiana Pacers defeated the New York Knicks, which means the Pacers have advanced to the NBA Finals. First game is Thursday night. What team will they be facing? three seconds and question number five Nick Lachey opened up about the reality show that he did with his first wife Jessica Simpson

00:28:00 - 00:30:46 | Speaker 1:

on MTV in the early 2000s what was that called Nick and Jessica married life I think let's bring the champ back from a sound crew area she so was good in the first couple and then... Only ended up with two. Started off hot. Two out of five. Cooled off. No, no, no. I can't do that. She's got her daughter listening. So, baby, gotta learn. One of the pretty ones always so dumb. No, that's dumb. I gave her at least a good one. All right, you gotta beat just two, Josh. Question number one. Lady Gaga has signed on to guest star on season two of Netflix's Wednesday. What classic TV show is Wednesday based off of? Da-da-da-da. The Adam's Family. There you go. I like when this guy shows a little personality because otherwise he's very, very drab. You know what I mean? Thank you. Question number two. This rapper, real name Curtis Jackson III, says that he's heading to the Oval Office to talk to President Trump about his plans to possibly pardon Diddy should he be convicted of the charges that he's facing. Who is he better known as? 56. Yes. 2-2. I was expecting more. And by the way, it's that Trump actually, to clarify that, because 50 does not want Diddy pardoned. Correct. It's that Trump said that he would think about pardoning him. 50 says no way. So he's actually on the side of Trump, keep Diddy in jail if he should be convicted. Question number three. Among the guests at Robin Thicke's wedding over the weekend was former Lions quarterback Matthew Stafford and his podcaster wife. What's her name? Kelly Stafford. Kelly Stafford. Three to two. Question number four. I'm going to turn it off. What's that? I'm sorry? Nothing. No. Question number four. Number four, the Indiana Pacers defeated the New York Knicks, which means the Pacers will advance to the NBA Finals for the first time, or I'm sorry, the first game will be Thursday night. What team will they be taking on? The Oklahoma City Spurs. Yes. Right, 4-2. Have the Pacers ever been to the Finals before? 25 years ago, and they lost against the Lakers in six games. They were, okay. And question number five, Nick Lachey opened up about the reality show that he did with his first wife, Jessica Simpson, on MTV in the early 2000s. What was that show called? What are you saying? I don't know that one. Are you serious? Wow. Remember Newlyweds? Newlyweds was the show.

00:30:47 - 00:30:47 | Speaker 2:

What a two final score.

00:30:50 - 00:31:12 | Speaker 1:

Yes, sir. Nice job. Another win. He won 11. He's coming back for 12. If he completes the whole week, he will have completed the feat of 15, and then we'll take on Shannon. We've got some parting gifts. Let me see what we got here for a parting gift for you guys. Are you listening to us on the iHeartRadio app in Diamondale?

00:31:14 - 00:31:14 | Speaker 2:

00:31:15 - 00:33:16 | Speaker 1:

Thank you for having us on. You got a $50 gift card to Panda Express. Nice. Congratulations. Yes, congratulations to you. So enjoy a little panda on the Mojo in the Morning Show. And we love you, sweetie. You guys have a great day. When's school out, by the way? When are we done with school? Her last day is Thursday. Oh, my gosh. That's great. I love it. I'm a nut. Yeah. And if you would like to play, text Iwanttoplay to 95500. And we're looking for a contestant for tomorrow morning. It's Mojo in the Mornings. 5 at 6.55. WKQI Detroit. WSNX Muskegon Grand Rapids. WVKS Toledo. Three great stations. One stupid show. This is Mojo in the Mornings. Live. All right. It's Mojo in the Morning. and I have to tell you that this weekend was one of those weekends where I'm exhausted on a Monday. I'm tired. I'm with you. I feel like the weekend was plentiful. It was almost like too much stuff. Yeah, there was too much going on. I didn't get any chance to rest and relax. Yeah. Although I did binge watch the Tylenol murders. What is that about? It's about back in the day there was a bunch of people that died taking Tylenol and some believe that uh it was the company Tylenol uh Johnson and Johnson uh with a kind of a mistake that happened and some people say that they pinned it on somebody that uh that some crazy guy was putting cyanide and and Tylenol but I watched that that was actually not bad and then I finished your friends and neighbors on yeah on Friday did you like which I was mentioning this last week with The Handmaid's Tale. The Handmaid's Tale completely disappointed me.

00:33:16 - 00:33:17 | Speaker 2:

Have they disappointed everybody?

00:33:18 - 00:33:39 | Speaker 1:

I hate when a show does not wrap everything up in a nice bow. I hate when they leave things at a point where you almost wonder if they're going to come back with more. And they supposedly, this is the end finale. I like the fact that your friends and neighbors, I think it's only a one-season thing. I think it's like a one-and-done. They just kind of like.

00:33:40 - 00:33:42 | Speaker 2:

That's the Jon Hamm one, right? On Apple.

00:33:42 - 00:33:42 | Speaker 1:

Watch it.

00:33:43 - 00:33:50 | Speaker 2:

Well, Wes and I went to go watch it the other night, and then I was like, crap, I canceled Apple TV. I'm like, I'm not doing this back and forth, so we don't have Apple TV.

00:33:50 - 00:33:53 | Speaker 1:

Really? Yeah. But don't, why did you cancel Apple TV?

00:33:53 - 00:33:54 | Speaker 2:

Because we didn't watch anything on there.

00:33:54 - 00:34:00 | Speaker 1:

Really? But don't you keep your Apple TV because you got all your Apple products and stuff like that, or no?

00:34:00 - 00:34:00 | Speaker 2:

No.

00:34:01 - 00:34:14 | Speaker 1:

Really? Just buy some AirPods. You'll get three most for free. That is true. It'll be all right. Like, can I just throw this out there with streaming services? Like, now it's my time. I'm canceling my Hulu because the Handmaid's Tale is over with.

00:34:14 - 00:34:22 | Speaker 2:

So I just canceled my Hulu, and then I realized, oh, crap, I can't watch any more Handmaids because I canceled Hulu, and it was done on the 31st.

00:34:22 - 00:34:59 | Speaker 1:

Can we just please go back to cable television where we just had one thing and we could watch everything on one? Like, I'm tired of streaming services. I feel like the streaming services are nickel and diming us. We used to get so mad at Comcast, Xfinity, or whatever the service was, Spectrum, whatever you have. We'd get so mad at it, and we would call it, oh, it's so expensive. You understand when you add all the other streaming services together. It's the same. And they don't have the ability for Wi-Fi in your house, so they screw your life up. I feel like now is more expensive than ever then. I just hate feeling like I finally get settled in on a price.

00:35:00 - 00:35:05 | Speaker 2:

and then i get an email that they're going up two dollars well that's how they get you or now i have

00:35:05 - 00:35:15 | Speaker 4:

ads in amazon prime when i didn't have ads before now i can't find the word you can't you can't do anything on amazon prime without paying for it it sucks this is how this is what they do to you

00:35:15 - 00:35:38 | Speaker 3:

they do this to you because they got you they get you hooked for a year you know and that's why people always give me crap about how i tout radio and how we are free like you don't pay for listening into radio it's like television you pay for everything yeah and anything that you want entertainment wise we're in radio you don't pay for it you go to the iHeartRadio app you listen

00:35:38 - 00:35:53 | Speaker 2:

to whatever you want to listen to the worst part too bro is i have every streaming service and i still can't find anything to watch yeah that's the worst part i'll go through it i'm like i've seen this before all this stuff boring do you have a youtube tv so we do youtube tv so it's

00:35:53 - 00:35:58 | Speaker 4:

like live tv okay so when that happens i'm always just like i'll just put on whatever's on but i

00:35:58 - 00:36:39 | Speaker 3:

wonder if it would be cheaper just to buy the like if you could eat by each individual show like in the end and i know you don't you don't think that that this would be the case i can just buy my seasons of stuff and in the end when i look at everything that i watch is it going to in the long run be cheaper than having a streaming service just for all that crap yeah you know like all you want to watch was handmade so you pay just buy the season no i buy i buy the 50 season or whatever it is. Now I just paid $50. I've got the whole season of Handmaid's Tale and I'm done with the whole thing and now I cancel, you know, and it's done at the end of the year. Like, it's kind of like buying a movie. Like when you, you know, where you just buy the streaming rights to the movies.

00:36:39 - 00:36:46 | Speaker 2:

I guess you could kind of do that now. You would just have to watch it quickly before the next month's cycle. Or let's just watch commercials again.

00:36:46 - 00:36:48 | Speaker 3:

Would you put up with more Top Dog Law?

00:36:50 - 00:36:59 | Speaker 2:

Huh? I don't know. I watch a lot of movies and a lot of television. I don't know. I like you, but at the same time, I don't. Like, Max is one of those where I don't watch anything on Max, I feel like.

00:37:00 - 00:37:02 | Speaker 3:

Really? I literally never watch Max.

00:37:02 - 00:37:04 | Speaker 4:

I don't have that. I don't even have that one.

00:37:04 - 00:37:36 | Speaker 3:

See, I feel like Max is only, you know, like, all of a sudden you'll see, hey, have you watched such and such? I don't even know what the last thing was on Max that I watched. I think it was, like, some court show or whatever, like some drama. And they'll be like, yeah, what is it on? It's on Max. What's Max? Like, you know what I mean? Like, HBO, isn't it HBO Max? That's Max, yeah. I think the last thing I watched on there was, what the hell is it? Righteous Gem Song? No, the one where they all go away on a vacation together and somebody gets murdered or whatever. Oh, White Lotus. White Lotus. Yeah, I think that's the only thing that I've watched.

00:37:36 - 00:37:51 | Speaker 2:

When I want to watch a movie that's not in theaters, I'll Google it and then hit streaming. And then typically it'll populate at the bottom with the icons of whatever the streaming service is. And it'll tell you what they're on. And then I'm like, okay, yeah, I got Peacock. It's such a pain in the butt. I've been watching Columbo on Peacock, though.

00:37:52 - 00:38:05 | Speaker 3:

Can you believe this? Do you know what Columbo is? No. Columbo is like a 1970s fat detective that's like an old school. It's like some of our grandmas. What got you on there? Janie's granny would watch it.

00:38:05 - 00:38:13 | Speaker 2:

My dad used to watch it when I was a little kid. Yeah. And I used to just, I never paid attention to it. Yeah. And I was bored one night and cut it. And I was like, this is kind of interesting, bro.

00:38:13 - 00:38:22 | Speaker 3:

My favorite is in Detroit we have that WADL or whatever. Yeah. I used to watch Batman and Robin and Columbo would come on after this. What's going on, Josh? Hi.

00:38:22 - 00:38:46 | Speaker 1:

hey i just wanted to uh ben a little bit because this aggravates me but i got youtube tv just like shannon and i usually get the nfl sunday ticket every year oh yeah it's no longer on there guess what it's on now well that's roughly about 500 a year right so what what irritates me special

00:38:46 - 00:38:51 | Speaker 3:

you need a new cell phone

00:38:51 - 00:39:03 | Speaker 1:

but when they air on Peacock they don't give you a code to log into Peacock you have to have Peacock but I only pay the $500 a year

00:39:03 - 00:39:41 | Speaker 3:

well it does suck because you're buying the football stuff but with the NFL Sunday ticket and all that stuff now to be able to watch all the games I think it's on Apple TV now if I'm not mistaken so I think it's no longer on what you were watching. But I hate when, and Josh, I was joking, by the way, about your cell phone service, but it did cut out. Everybody's cell phone service sucks nowadays. I hate when our Lions games or Tigers games are on a streaming platform. And all I want to do is just watch it on whatever it was that I was watching it on. I don't know where it is. They'll sell individual games. What's up, Cam? Hi.

00:39:42 - 00:39:44 | Speaker 1:

Hey, good morning. First time long time.

00:39:45 - 00:39:48 | Speaker 2:

What's going on?

00:39:49 - 00:40:03 | Speaker 1:

I'm calling with great news. My friends and neighbors has been renewed for a second season. Are you serious? Yeah, I'm reading it now. Serious. Dead serious. By the way, how great is that? Oh, it's the best. We just finished it over the weekend. My husband and I are home.

00:40:04 - 00:40:27 | Speaker 2:

Yeah. Brilliant. See that? Again, cell phones suck. What's going on? What is up in this town? I don't know. Cell phone. Your cell phone is like that. It cut out. Maybe this is the thing. Maybe we need to figure out the streaming. Ever since they went to 5G, I feel like cell phones suck nowadays. The only thing that's good is radio. That's right. That's it.

00:40:28 - 00:40:31 | Speaker 3:

It's hot outside. People's cell phones start acting up.

00:40:31 - 00:40:31 | Speaker 2:

Is that what it is?

00:40:31 - 00:40:33 | Speaker 3:

They about to drop a new iOS. That's what it is.

00:40:33 - 00:40:41 | Speaker 2:

You know what? Well, that's kind of how they get you. Hey, Kim, how many streaming services do you have? How many different streaming platforms?

00:40:42 - 00:40:47 | Speaker 1:

Oh, my God. My husband has all of them. He's an actor. He's a voice and film actor.

00:40:47 - 00:40:51 | Speaker 2:

Oh, is he really? How much money do you think you guys are spending a month on all that?

00:40:53 - 00:40:58 | Speaker 1:

We're probably spending about $350 a month. But it's deductible. That's great more than cable.

00:40:58 - 00:41:23 | Speaker 2:

Isn't that nuts? It's crazy. Yeah. I'm telling you, you know what I do? And this is my Dave Ramsey here. I'm going to give you my little financial thing. I cancel whatever credit card it is that I always put them on, cancel it once a year, and then all the services come to me and say, your card didn't go through. And then I decide which ones I had that I don't even look at anymore. And that's how I decide.

00:41:23 - 00:41:24 | Speaker 1:

That's brilliant.

00:41:24 - 00:41:49 | Speaker 2:

So once a year, I'll go through and I will basically drop the nuclear visa bomb on all that stuff and just get rid of them all and then start fresh from there and go, okay, well, here's what's going on. And then what it does, too, is it lets you know who your friends are that you gave the services to. Because this would happen with Chad and Stephanie, sometimes Shannon, sometimes Megan back in the day.

00:41:49 - 00:41:50 | Speaker 4:

I had your Hulu for a while.

00:41:50 - 00:42:01 | Speaker 2:

Sometimes I would get these people and they would go calling me up. And I'd be like, wow, why is Shannon calling me randomly at five o'clock at night on a Tuesday? Wow.

00:42:01 - 00:42:03 | Speaker 4:

Did you change your password?

00:42:04 - 00:42:12 | Speaker 2:

That's when you know who your real friends and neighbors are. All right. It is Mojo in the morning show. He kept stealing my stuff.

00:42:12 - 00:43:43 | Speaker 4:

This was so annoying. Wes and I were at the gym the other night. And the gym that we go to, like they have equipment and all that stuff. And then they have free weights, like every gym, you know. And so we do a thing where he basically, I don't really know how to do a lot of stuff. So I just, he just tells me what to do and I follow his instructions. And so usually we'll kind of go around the gym together and he'll be like, okay, we're going to use these two machines and we're going to switch on and off. But like we put our stuff down. So like we're kind of by each other, but like we'll put our phones down or water bottles. He always carries a towel with him, whatever. So the other day we were doing that and we were going back and forth between a piece of equipment and some free weights that we had both went and grabbed, you know, our weight because he can, he needs something that's way heavier than me. We had grabbed those and sent them nearby. And all of a sudden I turned around and there's this dude just using the machine that Wes and I were on. My phone's there. My water bottle's there. All my stuff is sitting there. Guy did not care. So I'm like, okay, fine. He, you know, he didn't see it. It's okay. It's not that big of a deal. So we turned around and started using the weights that we had brought over to this little area that we had set up. I go back to the machine. Guy finally gets off of it. I hear Wes laughing. I turn around. The guy's using our weights that we brought over. Like two totally different sizes too. I mean, this guy just, it was like he was following along in what we were doing and he had no shame whatsoever.

00:43:43 - 00:43:46 | Speaker 2:

Did he even say like something to you guys or acknowledge you guys?

00:43:46 - 00:44:02 | Speaker 4:

He didn't say a dang thing, but it was one of those moments where I thought, I'm on that show. What would you do? And they're testing me because everywhere we went, this guy would come and he would just be there using our stuff, even though it was very clear that that's where we were.

00:44:02 - 00:44:06 | Speaker 2:

And let me guess what you would do. But nothing. You are non-confrontational.

00:44:06 - 00:44:14 | Speaker 4:

Absolutely nothing. But I finally said to Wes, I'm like, I feel like I should start. I should put my phone in my waistband because at some point he's going to take my phone.

00:44:14 - 00:44:14 | Speaker 2:

You know what you need to do?

00:44:14 - 00:44:15 | Speaker 4:

And drink my water, too.

00:44:16 - 00:45:03 | Speaker 2:

Honestly, what you need to do is while he's curling his weights or whatever he was doing with the weights, you need to walk up to him and just grab him right out of his hands and see what he would do. See, because that's basically what he's doing. He's taking your stuff. He's following the circuit. I always think that with equipment, you know, like if you have like a piece of equipment and you're going to go back to it. And honestly, at Planet, they don't, you know, they have more than enough pieces of equipment when I'm there. because I'm usually there in the middle of the day. It's not that many people there. But there are times where I feel like this is the thing that bothers me. You get the close worker outers, like close talkers, that there's like five pieces of equipment there. I'm on one on an end, and the person has to go on the one right next to me. And so what I end up finding myself doing is... I'll put towels on the one next to me, keeping the person to go next to me.

00:45:03 - 00:45:17 | Speaker 1:

See, we weren't like, it wasn't even us go like doing that and moving away and not using it for a while. We were, we were alternating back and forth. So it was just in the time that it was taking us to make the switch that this guy was like, Oh, I'm just going to hop on this one.

00:45:18 - 00:45:29 | Speaker 2:

Wait, do you think that this guy is a gym swinger? Maybe he wants to, or like a, he's trying to, he sees this good looking couple that's

00:45:29 - 00:45:34 | Speaker 1:

there working out i'm gonna take a while i would like to have a threesome with you and another girl

00:45:34 - 00:45:44 | Speaker 2:

you trust big no does that excite you at all or no one to curl you do you think that maybe this was his way of picking you guys up like is this like a is this a gym he did not even make eye

00:45:44 - 00:45:48 | Speaker 1:

contact with us so did not acknowledge us whatsoever i had somebody one time his own i

00:45:48 - 00:46:26 | Speaker 2:

had somebody one time tell me when i was talking about how there was this guy that kept following me around the gym and they said that that was kind of a thing that the guy was trying to pick me up really which then i i went from at first i was pissed off that this guy was doing it then i was kind of flattered i was like honestly i i'm like oh well i kind of feel special it's like come on over here and hang out with me we're going to the elliptical now um 844 mojo live 844-665-6548 i love gym confrontations like i love when people have confrontations in the gym it's so entertaining like what do you do when you're you know getting you know too close to somebody's space or somebody's

00:46:26 - 00:46:42 | Speaker 1:

getting too close to your space my other new favorite thing is the person that will come up to you and go how many more sets do you have i'm like two i don't know thinking they'll go do something else and then come back and they just stand there and they're waiting for you i'm like

00:46:42 - 00:46:47 | Speaker 2:

this is so what are they doing that i'm though is it something that there's only one of in the

00:46:47 - 00:47:09 | Speaker 1:

entire place like i think some people go in with a very set routine which i do not i just walk around whatever's free you know i'll do but some people have a very set routine of you know doing their their equipment in an order or their workout in an order and if you're in their way they're they're not going to go do anything else they're going to sit and wait for you to be done wow is

00:47:09 - 00:47:20 | Speaker 3:

there gym etiquette oh yeah i don't go to the gym so like when you had a person come up and say how many sets you got left like you just keep doing your thing is there a mental law though where you

00:47:20 - 00:47:36 | Speaker 2:

only get a certain amount since you since you don't go to the gym i equate this to when you go to burger king uh and you're standing in line i don't know or when you go to the wing place what's that sweet water there we go it's like somebody cutting in front of you in line to place your

00:47:36 - 00:47:46 | Speaker 1:

order okay no it's like you sitting at the bar there and them saying how many more wings do you have left how much longer are you going to be and them just waiting behind your bar seat

00:47:46 - 00:47:48 | Speaker 2:

for you to get up and leave. The Hoverer. That's weird.

00:47:48 - 00:47:49 | Speaker 1:

The Hoverer.

00:47:49 - 00:48:03 | Speaker 2:

Exactly. Text her here right now says, Shannon, we experienced this at our gym, and that's why we started going to Planet Fitness, where you get kicked out if you do things like that. I've never seen anybody get kicked out into a Planet Fitness.

00:48:03 - 00:48:07 | Speaker 1:

I've never seen anybody get kicked out, but I have heard them ring the alarm.

00:48:08 - 00:48:09 | Speaker 2:

The Lunk Alarm? There's a Lunk Alarm?

00:48:09 - 00:48:11 | Speaker 3:

Yes. Wait, what are you talking about?

00:48:11 - 00:48:12 | Speaker 2:

If you drop your weights or grunge?

00:48:12 - 00:48:17 | Speaker 1:

If you drop your weights, or you're making really weird noises, they'll do it. They'll hit it.

00:48:18 - 00:48:19 | Speaker 3:

What's this alarm, though?

00:48:19 - 00:48:25 | Speaker 1:

It's just like a thing up on the wall. It makes a noise, but also this light goes off. Yes, it sounds like that. And what happens, though?

00:48:26 - 00:48:29 | Speaker 3:

Somebody in a purple shirt just ran out? No. They come out there.

00:48:29 - 00:48:33 | Speaker 1:

I've never seen anybody come out. I have never seen anybody come out.

00:48:33 - 00:48:35 | Speaker 2:

They put you in Planet Fitness handcuffs.

00:48:35 - 00:48:40 | Speaker 1:

But everybody, like, turns to look at who it is, you know? You want to see who it is.

00:48:41 - 00:48:59 | Speaker 2:

God, I love this one here. This is 310. 310 says Mojo's right. They were picking up on Shannon and Wes. I'm telling you, I think there's something to it. The fact that the guy's doing this and he's randomly just coming over towards you every single time and taking everything that you're using. It was wild.

00:49:00 - 00:49:03 | Speaker 3:

Have you ever seen this guy before? No. Interesting.

00:49:03 - 00:49:13 | Speaker 2:

Is this one of those honestly, is it I mean, I know Planet sponsors our studio and they're very good people. You don't have to admit I really do go to Planet.

00:49:13 - 00:49:17 | Speaker 1:

And I really do go to Planet Fitness, but sometimes I go to Wes's gym with him.

00:49:17 - 00:49:18 | Speaker 2:

This is Lifetime, isn't it?

00:49:18 - 00:49:19 | Speaker 1:

And he goes to Lifetime.

00:49:19 - 00:50:00 | Speaker 2:

It is Lifetime. I told you. Don't go there. You know what? And I don't know what they advertise. And if they do, I apologize. If they don't, they probably won't ever after this. I hated Lifetime. You know why I hated Lifetime? They would not let you cancel your membership. They were the hardest people to cancel your membership. They always talked me into staying. every time i would go in i had a membership they made it so hard to can't you know what they were they were the serious satellite radio of gyms where you're on the phone instead of you're in front of a person and they won't let you cancel your gym membership you got to test out i'm like

00:50:00 - 00:50:09 | Speaker 4:

Like, I'm done. They actually, I belonged to their fancy gym that they had for two years. Waste of money in my life. The only time I ever went there was to get a smoothie.

00:50:09 - 00:50:13 | Speaker 2:

To get smoothies, Kev. Are they free? No. I paid for it.

00:50:13 - 00:50:20 | Speaker 4:

Literally, they knew that that was all I was going there for. So the lady that was the manager bought me smoothies to keep me there for another six months.

00:50:20 - 00:50:20 | Speaker 1:

And it worked.

00:50:20 - 00:50:22 | Speaker 4:

What's up, Carter? Hi.

00:50:23 - 00:50:23 | Speaker 1:

Hey, what's up?

00:50:23 - 00:50:24 | Speaker 4:

What's going on?

00:50:24 - 00:50:34 | Speaker 1:

I think the worst is when people lift up their shirt, flex their abs, and show off in front of the gym in the middle of the weights. It's the worst.

00:50:34 - 00:50:48 | Speaker 4:

Oh, yeah. Lunk alarm on that one. The person trying to show them something. Well, you know who that is. That's the person that sees that there are probably somebody there that they want to impress, right? They're not doing it for you. They're doing it for somebody else.

00:50:48 - 00:50:54 | Speaker 5:

Y'all just saying that because y'all don't got abs, bro. That's part of it. I feel like if I had an APEC, that's part of the workout. How else am I supposed to know it's working?

00:50:54 - 00:51:08 | Speaker 4:

listen come on those are the same people by the way that buy their uh lululemon or uh underarm or two sizes too small i want to see the swag listen what's going on brooke hi hi good morning

00:51:08 - 00:51:27 | Speaker 7:

good morning so i'm i'm actually one of the hubbers but only to those who i've watched like sit on a machine for a while on their phone and then i'll go up to them be like hey like how many you have left and then i'll just stand behind them until they get off hey brooke brooke do you

00:51:27 - 00:51:32 | Speaker 4:

think shannon was just like social media posting pictures the whole time and she wasn't actually

00:51:32 - 00:51:37 | Speaker 3:

getting a workout going you know those but i do wait i do wait 30 minutes in between 30 seconds

00:51:37 - 00:52:08 | Speaker 4:

in between now you ever see those people that go that are on there and they're taking no that really does drive me nutty oh that drives me nuts too it's like first off i don't want to be in your picture because if you look at me when if i'm in a gym and if i've been there for and i never stay they're longer than 30 minutes i'm not i'm not a uh a person that does more than a 30 minute you know or 25 minute like just cardio set um just to say i went to the gym because i think my wife has my gps but the people that are taking their their you know selfies and they're getting

00:52:08 - 00:52:18 | Speaker 5:

you in their selfies while in the gym have you dealt with that like the tripod people at the gym have y'all seen that no they bring a tripod in really yeah the social media influencers they

00:52:18 - 00:52:26 | Speaker 3:

bring a little tripod in? See, now I've noticed that people bring a friend, and it's the friend that their duty is to capture the good photos and video.

00:52:26 - 00:52:37 | Speaker 4:

Okay. They need an old-school selfie stick. I'd like to see the selfie stick fall right there in the treadmill at that moment. Hit that lung alarm. What's up, Jason? Hi.

00:52:38 - 00:52:57 | Speaker 6:

Hey, Mojo. Yeah, no, I was just saying about the hovering. That happened to me like a week ago. It was so annoying, but the thing is, it's almost like, oh, you're on your phone. But yeah, If you're doing weights, you know, sometimes you've got to take a minute, minute and a half just to go between sets, you know, just for the weights, you know, to take a break. It's a normal thing. Are you the guy?

00:52:57 - 00:53:03 | Speaker 3:

There are some kids, though, that truly just sit there for a good 10 minutes and don't do a dang thing, you know?

00:53:03 - 00:53:07 | Speaker 4:

Are you the guy that takes excessively long water breaks, though? Be honest.

00:53:08 - 00:53:11 | Speaker 6:

Oh, no. I don't drink water until the end of the gym.

00:53:11 - 00:53:14 | Speaker 4:

Okay. Really? You've got to hydrate yourself a little bit more.

00:53:15 - 00:53:16 | Speaker 2:

Fair enough, yeah.

00:53:16 - 00:53:28 | Speaker 4:

I'm always the one person that does do that, though. I take excessively long breaks in between. So, all right. Take care of yourself, buddy. We'll see you. Have a great day. You too.

00:53:28 - 00:53:34 | Speaker 6:

Thanks. Thanks, Will. Take care. Bye-bye. Don't miss this in Mojo in the Morning's Dirty on the 30 in minutes.

00:53:35 - 00:53:54 | Speaker 3:

How Taylor Swift celebrated now owning all of the masters to her first six albums. And an interesting story about a woman who is not only filing a lawsuit against Sean Diddy Combs, but also a similar lawsuit against Harvey Weinstein. I'll tell you about her coming up in the Dirty.

00:53:54 - 00:54:08 | Speaker 1:

Every year, I want to make my stomach less jiggly for the summer. Oh, well, maybe next year. This is Mojo in the Morning. Mojo in the Morning's Dirty on the 30.

00:54:08 - 00:54:16 | Speaker 4:

Shannon, what is trending? what happened over the weekend that I completely missed because all I was doing was literally nothing.

00:54:17 - 00:54:20 | Speaker 3:

I wish my weekend consisted of nothing. You had a lot.

00:54:20 - 00:54:22 | Speaker 4:

I had grad parties and stuff. You had graduation.

00:54:23 - 00:54:31 | Speaker 3:

So Taylor Swift now owns the recordings to her first six albums and that was huge, huge Breaking Dirty, of course after the show ended on Friday. Aren't we all happy for her?

00:54:31 - 00:54:38 | Speaker 5:

Yeah, that's what's up. That was a dream come true. And she got it for the low after she released her own stuff and brought the price down.

00:54:38 - 00:54:55 | Speaker 3:

She thought she would never get her music back. And everything now belongs to her. So just a very momentous occasion. If you remember the story, she lost her rights to everything that she had back in 2019 when good old Scooter Braun and his media holdings company acquired her old label, Big Machine.

00:54:55 - 00:54:59 | Speaker 4:

I like how he was always the man that was the evil one.

00:55:00 - 00:55:06 | Speaker 3:

He was the guy that literally had the ability to buy that money, and she made him out to be like he was like this horrible human being.

00:55:07 - 00:55:30 | Speaker 4:

Well, then less than two years later, he sold it to a private equity company called Shamrock Holdings for $300 million. What did she buy it back for? So Taylor shared that Shamrock sold everything back to her, including her videos, her concert films, her album art, photography. I don't know. $350. She bought it back for $350. Was it $350? Yeah, for the load. So they made 50 mil.

00:55:31 - 00:55:39 | Speaker 3:

So they made 50, because usually these private equity firms know how to crap everything out and they end up losing money. I always wonder how it is that they lose it, but that's interesting that they made.

00:55:39 - 00:56:00 | Speaker 4:

And so for Swifties who were anxiously awaiting RET TV, Taylor said she hasn't even recorded a quarter of that. So like everybody was waiting for it to happen at the AMAs. It was never, that was never in the plan. She did celebrate over the weekend with her bestie Selena Gomez. They hit the town in New York City with the very, very famous monkey bar on Saturday night. But that's what she was doing.

00:56:00 - 00:56:13 | Speaker 3:

What does this mean for Taylor fans? What do they get out of this? Like, is she going to give them something for this? Like, is she going to give them free streaming? Is she going to give them the ability to be able to, like, what happens, Lydia?

00:56:13 - 00:56:32 | Speaker 2:

I think for us, we're just really excited that we get to listen to her original versions now without feeling guilty in a sense. I mean, I was still listening to some things here and there. That's how Swifties felt. They felt guilty for listening to, like, let's say 1989 style. like we felt guilty for listening to it because she didn't own it and she really wanted to and

00:56:32 - 00:56:36 | Speaker 4:

lydia she said she was going to start releasing stuff like unheard of songs from the vault right

00:56:36 - 00:56:46 | Speaker 2:

yeah so she's probably going to release songs that she had recorded previously for reputation originally that she didn't put on the original album and she's going to release she didn't own

00:56:46 - 00:57:18 | Speaker 3:

at the time she didn't own anymore and now she does i find it funny that and i'm not just saying you lydia but i'm saying all swifties i find it funny that you guys will walk around with like fake louis vuittons you know knock off uh you know uh slides that are not uh or sunglasses that are not the designer one you guys have no guilt feeling that but you have guilt feeling when you're not when you're listening to one of her old versions of a song like i like that's that is you're that big of a fan of hers that it would make you feel guilty to listen to love story i

00:57:18 - 00:57:22 | Speaker 2:

know some people are going to come for me but i was still listening to some of her old music

00:57:22 - 00:58:04 | Speaker 3:

Yeah. Well, you know what? Good for Taylor. You know, not all the artists have the ability to do what Taylor did. You know, matter of fact, 99.9% of the artists can't afford to own their own music. But that's how it always has been where these record labels make money. It's only the biggest of the bigs, like the Michael Jacksons of the world that, you know, I think he didn't didn't Paul McCartney buy all Michael Jackson stuff at one point. I think it was Michael on airs. Yeah, it was something like that. Michael owned a Beatles stuff. Yeah. Come on, Michael would be a big dog in this industry. Stop playing. But who owned Michael Jackson stuff? Like, who has Michael Jackson stuff? I don't know, bro. Probably the Illuminati. Is it? It's like, ah.

00:58:05 - 00:59:20 | Speaker 4:

I found this story really interesting. There's a woman who filed lawsuits against both Sean Diddy Combs and Harvey Weinstein, alleging separate incidents of sexual assault. According to model Crystal McKinney, back in 2003, she and a friend of hers met up with Harvey Weinstein at a Manhattan hotel under the pretense of discussing some movie opportunities, the story we've heard over and over again with him. She claims that Weinstein provided them with some cocktails, coerced them into sexual acts, and then raped them. Previously, Crystal accused Diddy of sexually assaulting her that same year, 2003, after a men's fashion week event in New York City. She alleges that Diddy drugged her and forced her into some non-consensual sex acts at his studio. Both Diddy and Harvey Weinstein have denied her allegations. Robin Thicke and April Love Geary got married in Cabo San Lucas on Friday after six years of being engaged and three kids together. The wedding was attended by all sorts of celebrities, everybody from Leo DiCaprio to Usher. I saw Matthew and Kelly Stafford were hanging out at that wedding. That couple's been together since 2014. Finally tying the knot. Robin Thicke's got some friends, huh?

00:59:21 - 00:59:21 | Speaker 1:

I see.

00:59:22 - 00:59:22 | Speaker 4:

Yeah.

00:59:22 - 00:59:22 | Speaker 1:

Wow.

00:59:23 - 00:59:34 | Speaker 4:

And lastly, one half of the Chrisley Knows Best team that was pardoned by President Trump last week speaking out for the first time. This is Todd Chrisley, fresh off a shopping trip from Nordstrom.

00:59:35 - 00:59:59 | Speaker 1:

Mr. Chrisley, do you have any remorse for the actions that led to your pictures? Oh, you must be seeing it. Do I have any remorse? I would have remorse if it was something that I did. Well, your wife didn't apologize last year. Well, let me explain to you how that works, if you don't mind. You're placed in a position as a defendant to either bow down and kiss the a** of the Department of Justice.

01:00:00 - 01:00:13 | Speaker 4:

and accept responsibility for things that you did not do in order to avoid a stronger sentence. And the corruption that went on in our case is going to continue to unfold, and Alex is going to continue to give each and every one of you the evidence that as it comes in.

01:00:13 - 01:00:19 | Speaker 6:

You guys, I died because he would not let anybody take his picture until he went and got Botox.

I mean, they are married. Really?

01:00:33 - 01:00:38 | Speaker 8:

I always wonder. I never really watched that show, but Chelsea would watch that show. And I always wondered.

01:00:38 - 01:00:44 | Speaker 6:

I haven't seen that.

01:01:00 - 01:01:06 | Speaker 8:

This is the Bishop Statement at Bishop State Community College. We want you to hear what our students, educators, and business leaders have to say.

01:02:26 - 01:03:11 | Speaker 1:

My name is Metarica, Terry LaMille, and my major is general education. Some of the obstacles I have overcame at Bishop State is proving that I can show up consistently, even when my life was heavy. There are moments where I still feel overwhelmed by balancing work, leadership, parenting, and school, but Bishop reminded me that I'm capable of growth and not perfection, that I'm supported as long as I'm committed to being a better person than I was yesterday. My peers can depend on me. I'm there being poured into, but some of those students don't know that the faculty and staff are really there for them. So when they don't know that, I'm their resource that explain and show them that they're here to help us.

Moto Casino, America's social casino. oh what happened you went out on a few dates had bangs giving and now you're getting ghosted no no please don't uh what happened second date update happens at 8 20 on mojo in the morning

01:04:02 - 01:04:08 | Speaker 8:

all right it is mojo in the morning it's sad news kevin your uncle uh died your uncle passed away

01:04:08 - 01:04:59 | Speaker 9:

yeah my mom's brother uncle paul passed away over the weekend oh man was he was he sick yeah i believe he had cancer oh man um so my mom called me was it friday or saturday i'm not i obviously i mean if you listen to the show you know i haven't been feeling that well just a lot of phlegm a lot of mucus so it was really hitting me on friday night and then my mom called me and was like we all at the hospital they just rushed uncle paul in and then um i think she called me a few hours later was like yeah he passed away and um yeah pretty sad pretty sad how's your mom doing uh she's really concerned about her mom my grandma grandmama yeah my grandma she's 95 years old and now her son died and um you always hear how like you never want to be a parent that has to bury their child

01:05:00 - 01:06:14 | Speaker 1:

and um yesterday we all went over to my grandma house after church and um her uh her sisters were over there his daughters were there my mom and everybody was just over there and it was like that real moment of like seeing my grandma we got into a circle we all prayed and then while we were in the circle you know people started going around the room and started kind of saying you know what uncle paul meant to them and moments they shared and just looking at my grandma who's like the poster child for what a matriarch in a family is like and she's just the her nickname is pit because she's like a pit bull like she's just she's just a strong five foot two lady that's just been there for everybody and she's still strong to this to this moment i know she'll have her moments where you know she'll cry probably when nobody's watching but just to be in that circle man and and that's where my kind of pain comes from is more so like my grandma again 95 years old having to bury her son or my two cousins his daughters brandy and elena oh yeah auntie bobby they mom passed away like two years ago now they dad passed away my mom losing her only brother like that type of thing so hearing everybody talk about what uncle paul meant to

01:06:14 - 01:06:19 | Speaker 2:

them was that was i was hard prayers to uh your family is there a funeral coming up here you guys

01:06:19 - 01:06:34 | Speaker 1:

yeah i mean yesterday they were trying i'm probably gonna get a eulogy my mom was trying to talk about that but uh nobody was really trying to fast forward and have that conversation it was more so like let's just spend this time together yeah and looking through photo albums and cherishing

01:06:34 - 01:07:42 | Speaker 2:

his life and talking about all of that i find it interesting uh um i've had a number of friends who's had deaths in their families and i've been asking lately i'm like because you know i i you know you want to pay your respects and go to wakes and things like that or their funerals and i was uh uh last couple of friends lost one buddy lost his mom another guy uh lost his uncle like you did and i'm like uh you got funerals planned and they're like yeah sometime this summer we'll do something and i'm like and they're like doing their daily life and not uh and not doing like a funeral right away and i'm and i'm in my uh in my traditional faith uh which is catholic usually a person dies it's within like a you know a week they'll have uh a wake you know or two days of a wake and then they'll have the funeral and you have it within right away everybody nowadays is kind of like holding off and they're like yeah you know we'll do it when it's convenient we're kind of all busy right now and i'm not saying that that's what you guys are doing because i don't know what you guys are doing but isn't that weird like when i die i want

01:07:42 - 01:07:48 | Speaker 1:

people's worlds to stop like i want the stock market to crash i want and you want the iHeart

01:07:48 - 01:08:08 | Speaker 2:

radio to go silent like like if i die no no no let me just say this to you if i die and it's during the lion season i get you're not going to have my funeral on a sunday at one o'clock in the afternoon but for god's sakes don't wait until the season's over with and go through the entire

01:08:08 - 01:08:14 | Speaker 1:

16 game season you know what I mean I think people in our family who passed away it's never been more

01:08:14 - 01:08:41 | Speaker 3:

than two weeks in two weeks is like the latest and what is two weeks because I can't remember who the heck died recently that it was that they died and then there wasn't they were trying to get everybody into town for her funeral and so I had I think I had said to my mom I'm like well it's not gonna be an open casket at that point like she's getting cremated right and she's like Oh, no. It's. Oh, no. And I'm like, wait a second. That can't. She's not going to look good.

01:08:41 - 01:08:47 | Speaker 2:

No, they have to. If that's the case. She's going to look a raisin. They are burning that body and they are putting it in an ashtray.

01:08:47 - 01:08:53 | Speaker 3:

But they did it. That's what I'm saying. I didn't know that you could do it for that long. You can't keep a body that long.

01:08:53 - 01:08:53 | Speaker 2:

You probably can't.

01:08:53 - 01:08:56 | Speaker 3:

It was me a week and a half. But still.

01:08:57 - 01:09:00 | Speaker 2:

Call Tom, the funeral director guy that calls us up all the time.

01:09:00 - 01:09:04 | Speaker 1:

I want to know what the longest a body can last. They got new fluids out now.

01:09:04 - 01:09:48 | Speaker 3:

You guys, I still think it is such a weird cultural thing that we do. I say this every time we talk about a funeral, that we put makeup on a dead person and we all just stand around and look at them in a box. That is, it's just the weirdest thing to me. You gotta put makeup on. I feel like decades from now, we're gonna, like, you know, back, did you ever learn in history class back in like the Victorian days, they would take family portraits. They would sit the dead person up, and the family would all gather around, and they would, like, take one last portion. Oh, yeah. That's so flicking weird. And I feel like decades from now, they're going to be like, and they made up the person in their favorite outfit with their makeup and put them in a box, and everybody came and stared at them. It's creepy.

01:09:48 - 01:09:50 | Speaker 1:

You ever kiss them on the cheek? Pleat. Oh.

01:09:52 - 01:09:57 | Speaker 3:

No, I think I, like, rubbed both of my grandma's hands, and maybe that was it. But even then, you're like, huh.

01:09:57 - 01:09:59 | Speaker 2:

My brother reached in and grabbed my mom.

01:10:00 - 01:10:51 | Speaker 6:

hand and the funeral director uh mr quinlan looked like he was gonna kill my brother why well because i think that they don't want to like to move you know they have it all nicely put in that's my mama she had her rosary beads in her hand and all that stuff they'd be like get out of that thing people like people get so emotional and my mom's my mom's wake my aunt pat almost jumped in the freaking casket for god's sake oh she was crazy and she was nuts i i will say this to you though it when when any of us die we got to make katrina do our makeup oh she does fake lashes like she does for our pictures hold on uh tom the funeral guy is on with us right now funeral home tom tommy there yeah what's what's the longest that uh that a body can last we're talking about when somebody dies like don't they have to have a funeral within a certain amount of

01:10:51 - 01:10:58 | Speaker 5:

days like a body can't last uh months can it well his body's properly embalmed and properly prepped

01:10:58 - 01:11:09 | Speaker 6:

um we can call a couple weeks probably really couple of weeks yeah tom where do you guys store the body is it like in the same place that nordstrom stores their layaway or what where is

01:11:09 - 01:11:22 | Speaker 5:

it at no no no and when they're being stored they own a refrigerated unit until they're prepped once you're prepped well a lot of michigan states that at 48 hours after that the body has to be

01:11:22 - 01:11:33 | Speaker 6:

embalmed or prepped okay unless it's refrigerated tom quick question for you tom is that same refrigerated unit the place that you put your ham sandwich when you come into work with your lunch

01:11:33 - 01:11:45 | Speaker 5:

box no no we have an offset location he's a professional it's all regulated by the state you can't you can't there's a lot of regulations he's very by the way tom is very professional i

01:11:45 - 01:11:50 | Speaker 6:

I like to know that. I like to know that the silliness of listening to the show doesn't make him go down that path.

01:11:50 - 01:11:56 | Speaker 1:

Hey, Tom, when you talk about embalming, has the fluids changed over the years, or are we still using the same fluids that we've always used?

01:11:58 - 01:12:19 | Speaker 5:

No, they've changed over the years. You know, like anything else, you have different fluids that, you know, do different things. It all depends, too, everyone. You know, you have to remember, if you passed and you had a long illness, you're not going to prep as well as that if you die like suddenly or something tom tom these people

01:12:19 - 01:12:23 | Speaker 7:

like especially the ladies they have like a lot of filler in their face do they just naturally

01:12:23 - 01:12:41 | Speaker 5:

look they need less fluid because they already got stuff in um no you still need the same amount it's um it's a procedure you have to go by weight you have to go by um you know there's a lot of different factors that factor into uh when you're embalming bigger bodies need more fluid

01:12:41 - 01:13:07 | Speaker 6:

yeah correct how much how much will i need tom i'll probably need a lot i don't know i really don't know like not as much as you would ask six months ago tom uh put just put some old zempick in me before hey real quick if if tom if my wife should bring my body and make sure that i get a good hairdresser and somebody good to make me look good all right And put some good clothes on.

01:13:07 - 01:13:08 | Speaker 5:

We'll make you look great.

01:13:08 - 01:13:10 | Speaker 6:

Thank you, Tom. I appreciate you, buddy.

01:13:10 - 01:13:11 | Speaker 5:

Do you want me to tickle you, Mojo?

01:13:11 - 01:13:12 | Speaker 6:

No, don't you?

01:13:12 - 01:13:13 | Speaker 5:

Do you want me to tickle you, Mojo?

01:13:14 - 01:13:15 | Speaker 2:

What? Why?

01:13:15 - 01:13:17 | Speaker 6:

Tom, have you ever had a body come back to life?

01:13:19 - 01:13:30 | Speaker 5:

No, that's never happened. Okay. I have some people that think that, you know, you could regenerate your body after a certain amount of years, but it's not going to happen. Not that technology yet.

01:13:31 - 01:13:34 | Speaker 6:

Okay. All right, Tom, the funeral man. Thank you, Tom. I appreciate you, buddy.

01:13:34 - 01:13:35 | Speaker 5:

Thank you, guys. Talk to you later.

01:13:36 - 01:13:46 | Speaker 6:

Bye-bye. By the way, Tom was always very, you know, he was always so, so, you know, professional until the tickle thing came out of him. What's up, Jamie? Hi.

01:13:47 - 01:13:50 | Speaker 4:

My father-in-law wanted to be buried in Alabama.

01:13:51 - 01:13:51 | Speaker 2:

Yeah.

01:13:52 - 01:14:03 | Speaker 4:

And my husband was not ready to say goodbye when it happened. Oh, God. So his ashes are still sitting in my bedroom. Oh, in the bedroom? It's been about six or seven years.

01:14:04 - 01:14:05 | Speaker 2:

Why in the bedroom? In the bedroom.

01:14:05 - 01:14:11 | Speaker 4:

They're in my closet. I'm telling you. Because that's where he feels he's closest to him.

01:14:11 - 01:14:13 | Speaker 7:

Shani's granny is still in my dad's basement.

01:14:13 - 01:14:14 | Speaker 6:

That's unreal.

01:14:14 - 01:14:20 | Speaker 4:

And I still have a 12-foot utility trailer of all my father-in-law's stuff.

01:14:21 - 01:14:36 | Speaker 6:

Oh, wow. You guys, the families that don't lay your family member to rest aren't going by their wishes. Their wishes were that they wanted to be spread or to have their ashes buried somewhere, and you guys aren't doing it. They're going to come back and haunt you. What's up, Rachel?

01:14:38 - 01:14:39 | Speaker 3:

Hi, how are you guys?

01:14:39 - 01:14:41 | Speaker 6:

We're good, Rachel. What's going on?

01:14:42 - 01:14:59 | Speaker 3:

Good. So there's actually some cultures out there that will actually embalm their deceased, posed up like standing up with drinks like they're at a party or sitting down in a car. I want to know those cultures. I want to be there.

01:15:00 - 01:15:01 | Speaker 2:

I want an old-fashioned in my hand.

01:15:01 - 01:15:06 | Speaker 4:

If you Google it, you can see. It's crazy. What if we involved you right here behind the microphone?

01:15:06 - 01:15:11 | Speaker 2:

Seriously, Rachel, I'm going to be right here in the Planet Fitness studios.

01:15:13 - 01:15:15 | Speaker 4:

I'll make sure they put an old-fashioned in your hand.

01:15:15 - 01:15:28 | Speaker 2:

Please do that for me. That actually would be my kind of thing. If I die, I want Chelsea to rent out the library pub and put me in the third booth from the end. You've got to Google this. Penny, what's going on?

01:15:30 - 01:15:34 | Speaker 4:

Well, I wanted to tell, like, a funny, morbid funeral story. Oh, good.

01:15:34 - 01:15:37 | Speaker 2:

I love funny, morbid. What's going on?

01:15:38 - 01:16:32 | Speaker 4:

Okay, so my great-aunt passed away a few years ago. And first off, my family is unhinged. They're crazy. But my aunt ran the funeral, and they didn't want to pay for a casket for the viewing. So they pulled my aunt out on, like, a hospital stretcher gurney. like the funeral home had her on that and then my uncle shows up with his pitbull and says oh it's a service dog and it was it clearly was not a service dog so this dog is running around the funeral home and then they go up to like view my aunt's body and the dog jumps on the gurney and my aunt almost falls no oh my god yeah and then my uncle was yelling about his dog running around because he wouldn't control it. And then so my aunt and my uncle started getting a fight in the funeral home. It was a mess.

01:16:33 - 01:16:40 | Speaker 2:

Your poor aunt can't even rest in peace because you guys are too cheap to get her a casket, for God's sakes.

01:16:41 - 01:16:45 | Speaker 3:

Yeah, yeah, it was insane. It was the craziest funeral I've ever been to.

01:16:45 - 01:16:51 | Speaker 2:

Oh, my God. And did the poor lady have any money? Like, did she die and leave money to people? Because that's the money they should have used.

01:16:51 - 01:16:57 | Speaker 4:

No, she was just an old lady who was like... She was, her name was Crazy Aunt Sharon.

01:16:58 - 01:17:04 | Speaker 2:

Crazy Aunt Sharon. Say that on the... Did it say that? Wait, did it say that on the mask card?

01:17:06 - 01:17:10 | Speaker 4:

She just had, I mean, she wasn't crazy. She just had some mental issues, so...

01:17:10 - 01:17:11 | Speaker 2:

That's all right, yeah.

01:17:11 - 01:17:18 | Speaker 4:

But yeah, she was just crazy Aunt Sharon, and her kids were crazy, and so... Everybody crazy. Dog crazy. Crazy funeral.

01:17:19 - 01:17:24 | Speaker 2:

Unreal. Oh, great. Hey, Devin, what's up? They just let you hang her. Hi.

01:17:25 - 01:17:27 | Speaker 4:

My dad actually passed away.

01:17:28 - 01:17:30 | Speaker 2:

I'm sorry. What's that? Your dad what?

01:17:31 - 01:17:50 | Speaker 4:

Actually passed away this morning. Oh, my dad. I'm sorry. Yeah. They're not knowing when to plan the funeral. They're thinking probably about a month from now. Oh, geez. Just because my mom needs money to, like, save up for it and stuff like that. They're actually doing, like, a go fund me for it.

01:17:50 - 01:17:53 | Speaker 2:

Was it a sudden death, or had he been ill?

01:17:55 - 01:18:03 | Speaker 4:

He's been sick for two years now, and he's been, like, fighting and fighting. Oh, man, I'm so sorry. But he's been in the hospital for, like, a month now.

01:18:03 - 01:18:12 | Speaker 2:

Oh, geez. Well, listen, man, we're very, very sorry. We're sad to hear that, that he passed, buddy. I hope that you're okay.

01:18:13 - 01:18:17 | Speaker 4:

My prayers, bro. I'm trying. We're trying to get through it.

01:18:17 - 01:18:23 | Speaker 2:

I mean, I hope listening to the show gives you a little bit of laughter this morning, you know, on a day that's really a tough one.

01:18:25 - 01:18:31 | Speaker 4:

Absolutely amazing and helped me every morning get through multiple things.

01:18:31 - 01:19:02 | Speaker 2:

All right. Well, what's your dad's first name? Wesley. All right. We're doing this one for him today. Thanks for calling, man. I apologize that you had to deal with this. It's very, very sad. We'll say a prayer for you, and Kev will say a prayer for your uncle and all of his family. Those are the people that die are the ones that are good ones. They don't know how to deal with all the crap that we've got to deal with right now. You know what I mean? They're going to a better place. But it's all the family that's left behind that's the ones that've got to pick up the pieces and try to go on with their lives. All right.

01:19:03 - 01:19:20 | Speaker 1:

Maybe he didn't call his wife to check in while on your date, but something isn't right. Second date update is after 8 this morning on Mojo in the Morning. Maybe he didn't call his wife to check in while on your date, but something isn't right. Second date update is after 8 this morning on Mojo in the Morning.

01:19:22 - 01:19:49 | Speaker 2:

All right, it is Mojo in the Morning. I want to shift gears a little bit. So Lydia is here with us. Lydia is our executive producer of the show. And she's at that age right now where all her friends are getting married. and she's at that age right now where she is having to fork over a ton of money to go to weddings or be in weddings and stand up in weddings. And Lydia, it's getting expensive,

01:19:49 - 01:20:00 | Speaker 4:

isn't it? Yeah. It's almost about to cost me $2,000 to walk in a wedding later in this year. Yeah. This is just one wedding. And I'm also walking in another coming up and we're doing her bachelor's degree.

01:20:00 - 01:20:11 | Speaker 1:

bachelorette in italy stop for a second hold on a second that's ridiculous why are they having a bachelorette party in italy like that's somewhere you go to for your honeymoon if you can afford it

01:20:11 - 01:20:22 | Speaker 4:

because her grandma lives there so i mean we just have to basically pay for the flight and probably have to pay for some things that we're going to have to do there is she is the wedding no is she

01:20:22 - 01:20:29 | Speaker 1:

rich no how are you but so even if your grandma lives in italy that's got to be expensive to go

01:20:29 - 01:21:09 | Speaker 4:

there just for a bachelorette party it's it's probably gonna cost me an arm and a leg yeah for sure which i mean i'm already focused on the wedding that i'm standing up in this year which like i said is estimated to be about two thousand dollars okay so break down that cost so it's between the bachelorette which is going to be here which saves me a lot of money for that i mean because i'm already going on a bunch of trips as is then i have to pay for my dress my hair my makeup i have to pay for the gift for the wedding and the bridal shower and then i have to pay for hair makeup and a dress for that bridal shower as well oh my god so there's a lot that i have to pay and a bachelor pretty gift yes oh my god i didn't even think about that shannon

01:21:09 - 01:21:14 | Speaker 1:

don't wait don't they when when they ask you to be in these weddings don't they help out with

01:21:14 - 01:21:26 | Speaker 4:

anything at all well they'll pay for the dress up front but how it works in culture is that we put the envelope for the dress and then for our plate too because you don't want the bride paying for

01:21:26 - 01:21:39 | Speaker 1:

that this is really asking a lot can you is there anybody that's ever turned down the standing up and be a bridesmaid or groomsmen because they just didn't want to pay they said no i don't want to

01:21:39 - 01:21:49 | Speaker 3:

do it i mean that's crazy wait and so then you're going to this bachelorette party for a totally different wedding so you're gonna have to pay to be in that wedding too right so i'm just thinking

01:21:49 - 01:21:53 | Speaker 4:

about the wedding that i have this year and then the one i have next year i have to start saving

01:21:53 - 01:22:10 | Speaker 1:

ahead you know a whole nother job wow that's it that is that's like a a summer of weddings can really make you go broke isn't it true in your culture lydia lydia is chaldean she's an iraqi catholic isn't it true that like your family members can't be in the wedding if they are

01:22:10 - 01:22:22 | Speaker 4:

married or if they have like this is true wait really chaldean culture yeah unless you were gonna have the both like spouses into the wedding you cannot yeah not have them walk it's weird like

01:22:22 - 01:22:37 | Speaker 1:

So if you had like five sisters and your sisters were the ones that you wanted to be your bridesmaids, like in regular everyday life, you could have all five of them in there, even if they are married people. If they're married, they can't be in.

01:22:38 - 01:22:39 | Speaker 2:

Unless their husband is walking as well.

01:22:39 - 01:22:57 | Speaker 1:

Unless their husband is also with them in there. Wow. It's kind of wild. Yes, neat. 844-MOJO-LIVE, 844-665-6548. One wedding is costing Lydia $2,000. uh brennan says that how much are you uh paying to be in a wedding brennan

01:22:57 - 01:23:12 | Speaker 2:

hey um first time uh call a long time list yeah so to be in one of my longtime friends weddings i'm already in the hole like three grand

01:23:12 - 01:23:17 | Speaker 3:

oh my god three grand what was the most expensive thing you had to pay for

01:23:18 - 01:23:29 | Speaker 2:

Well, so far it's been the bachelor party, which just happened a weekend or two ago. Just to go there and stay there for a weekend, I was already in like $1,100.

01:23:29 - 01:23:30 | Speaker 3:

Marie Alley.

01:23:33 - 01:23:36 | Speaker 2:

We were down in Florida. Not Miami, though.

01:23:36 - 01:23:40 | Speaker 1:

Wow. So is this person somebody that's got a lot of money?

01:23:43 - 01:23:44 | Speaker 2:

Not traditionally.

01:23:45 - 01:24:11 | Speaker 1:

Because I'm looking at these people that have these out-of-town, like, big things like bachelor parties or they're throwing showers out of town and places like that. I'm thinking they've got to have money, and if that's the case, do they expect their friends that don't have money to do stuff like this? Like, why are they doing this when they've got a wedding? Like, I couldn't even afford to get married. We had to save up. We got engaged, and I had to do a two-year engagement in order to afford to get married.

01:24:12 - 01:24:24 | Speaker 2:

Yeah, I don't know. I think they want to maybe try and go big for their big event. And, you know, if they don't have all the money to throw around, they ask everyone else to throw around, too, I guess. That's amazing. Yeah, it's crazy.

01:24:24 - 01:24:32 | Speaker 1:

I don't know how you do something like that. Like, I think it's asking a lot for somebody to go to a destination wedding because that's a lot more expensive.

01:24:32 - 01:24:37 | Speaker 3:

The bachelor party in another country is really crazy to me.

01:24:37 - 01:24:38 | Speaker 1:

Kelsey, what's up?

01:24:38 - 01:24:52 | Speaker 3:

Hey, so a few years ago, I had three of my good friends get married. So I had three bridal showers, three bachelorette parties, three weddings, and I was in all of them.

01:24:53 - 01:24:55 | Speaker 1:

What did it cost you?

01:24:56 - 01:24:59 | Speaker 3:

It was probably at least three grand, I would say.

01:25:00 - 01:25:09 | Speaker 2:

So it was a three grand summer to do it. So you were living Lydia's life a couple years ago. Anything that you should recommend to Lydia? Do you ever wish that you would have said no to any of these people?

01:25:12 - 01:25:14 | Speaker 5:

Not these three. I had fun.

01:25:15 - 01:25:16 | Speaker 8:

Yeah.

01:25:16 - 01:25:25 | Speaker 5:

But now you're broke. It was three good weddings. Just don't get pregnant because I wasn't breastfeeding for all these events. Oh, my gosh.

01:25:25 - 01:25:29 | Speaker 8:

Yeah, I remember that. You were pregnant for all three?

01:25:30 - 01:25:37 | Speaker 5:

Yeah, I was breastfeeding still, so I'm down in Nashville with my breast pumps, just traveling with breast dogs, so that's not...

01:25:37 - 01:25:50 | Speaker 2:

I wonder how brides like that when one of the bridesmaids ends up getting pregnant. I wonder if that's something that is looked at poorly, like they're like, oh, you're ruining the wedding photos or something. As long as they know beforehand. What's up, Mag?

01:25:52 - 01:25:53 | Speaker 3:

Hi, how are you?

01:25:53 - 01:25:58 | Speaker 2:

Good, what's going on? We're talking about being in a bunch of weddings, how expensive it is for our producer, Lydia.

01:26:00 - 01:26:23 | Speaker 3:

Yeah, I've been in several, and my issue is being a bachelorette at weddings is the gifts that the brides always get are really gifts for themselves. They'll be, like, matching pajamas so they can get pictures or, like, earrings to wear in the weddings. Like, it's, like, gifts for themselves. But then my husband's in weddings, and he gets, like, really nice gifts that he uses in the future, like a cancer or a cufflinks or something. That is true.

01:26:23 - 01:26:31 | Speaker 2:

The girls go, oh, I went all out, and I got you this. And you're like, am I ever going to wear purple pajamas? You know what I mean? Like, what's that?

01:26:31 - 01:26:35 | Speaker 3:

I'm never going to wear these giant, flashy earrings again, but thank you.

01:26:35 - 01:26:42 | Speaker 2:

Yeah. Although the earrings, you know, at least you could try to make it work with some other outfit. But Ashley, what's up? Hi.

01:26:43 - 01:26:56 | Speaker 7:

Hey, Mojo. Yeah, most expensive year of my life, I was in five weddings, made of honor of three, and all five of them had a destination bachelorette party. Oh, my God. That had to cost a fortune.

01:26:56 - 01:26:59 | Speaker 2:

Where were the bachelorette parties? What cities were they in destinations?

01:26:59 - 01:27:06 | Speaker 7:

They were in Nashville, Chicago, Las Vegas, Miami, and St. Louis.

01:27:06 - 01:27:06 | Speaker 2:

Unreal.

01:27:06 - 01:27:07 | Speaker 7:

Oh, my gosh.

01:27:07 - 01:27:09 | Speaker 2:

Man, and they expect you to go to all of those?

01:27:11 - 01:27:16 | Speaker 7:

Oh, yeah, and we did. I mean, we had a blast, but believe me, we were poor by the end of the year. That's for sure.

01:27:16 - 01:27:23 | Speaker 2:

That's wild. Can we, like, just say out of town instead of saying destination? But that is. It's a destination.

01:27:23 - 01:27:25 | Speaker 1:

St. Louis is out of town, bro. That's not a destination.

01:27:25 - 01:27:26 | Speaker 2:

Well, St. Louis.

01:27:26 - 01:27:45 | Speaker 1:

When you say destination, you're thinking like Mexico. I need my password stamp, bro. We're not about to say, I had to go to. But that's the other thing. It's money. But when you have five out-of-town bachelorette parties, that's time out of your. Thanks. That's your weekends. All that's for real. Those are all out of your weekends.

01:27:45 - 01:27:53 | Speaker 2:

I can't believe Lydia's got an Italy one. Lydia got rich friends. I don't care if my grandma lives in Italy. It's still a crazy place to go. What's up, Erica? Hi.

01:27:56 - 01:27:56 | Speaker 6:

Hi.

01:27:56 - 01:27:57 | Speaker 2:

What's going on?

01:27:58 - 01:28:49 | Speaker 6:

So my friend asked me to stand up at her wedding, and later on, as a backup, asked my husband to also stand up, and between the two of us, they picked the most expensive tuxedo for him. My dress was, between the dress and the alterations I had to get, was $500. She had a joint up north getaway bachelorette party. So between the two of us, we probably spent close to $1,500, two grand. And the kicker is that the night of the rehearsal dinner, I got violently ill in the church, in the bathroom, and we had to miss the wedding.

01:28:49 - 01:28:51 | Speaker 2:

Oh, no. Was she pissed at you?

01:28:51 - 01:29:02 | Speaker 6:

I spent all that money for nothing. She was very mad. She still has not spoken to me to this day. And that was probably about five, six, seven years ago. Oh, you can't help being sick.

01:29:02 - 01:29:04 | Speaker 2:

Did she not believe that you were sick? Did she think you were lying?

01:29:04 - 01:29:15 | Speaker 6:

I don't know what she thought. She told me that my behavior was indefensible and we cost her family thousands of dollars.

01:29:15 - 01:29:16 | Speaker 2:

Oh, my God.

01:29:17 - 01:29:18 | Speaker 6:

That's pretty much it.

01:29:19 - 01:29:23 | Speaker 2:

How did it cost them thousands of dollars? I don't understand where it would cost them anything. You're the one saying.

01:29:23 - 01:29:28 | Speaker 6:

I don't. Between, like, gifts and dinner and I don't. That's BS.

01:29:29 - 01:29:32 | Speaker 1:

The plate doesn't cost thousands of dollars. That's nuts. They serve it.

01:29:32 - 01:29:42 | Speaker 2:

I'm telling you. This is when you start realizing that these aren't people you want to be friends with anyway. Becca just told the bride, I don't have the money for this, and you just didn't do it. Is that right?

01:29:43 - 01:30:43 | Speaker 4:

Well, so she asked me a year beforehand, and I was finishing chiropractic school, and I was living in South Carolina. I knew that I was moving up to Michigan. and she was in New Jersey where I went and did undergrad, and I told her, okay, I'll try. And I got the dress. I paid like $800. for the dress for the alterations three months beforehand i got married um and i had a very small wedding with um my bride my wife was from norway so her family came there you know blah blah long story two months beforehand i was like i don't think i'm gonna make it i'm gonna try my best to see if i can afford to do the travel because the driving there would cost about 400 because of the tolls and paying for the hotel we had to pay for ourselves and all this stuff i couldn't make it to the bachelorette because it was out in cancun um she never responded to me because she was spotty with texting to begin with her maid of honor didn't really really help me out and a month before i sent a very long heartfelt message and um she didn't reply to me and hasn't

01:30:43 - 01:30:59 | Speaker 3:

spoken to me me since this is where i'm telling you this is where you wean out friends you know You know what I mean? People become crazy. They become bridezillas when they are getting ready to get married. Oh, my gosh.

01:30:59 - 01:31:19 | Speaker 1:

And then you know it's crazy. Like, you think weddings are expensive. Like, you go through this phase in your life where you're going to weddings and bachelorette parties. And then a couple of years later, Lydia, then you're going to go to 10,000 baby showers every weekend. It's the worst. Right? And then you go, a year after that, you're going to, like, 20 huge first birthday parties. You have to have a whole separate savings account. Yeah.

01:31:19 - 01:31:24 | Speaker 3:

Nicole, why do you feel bad about having a destination wedding and inviting all these people to your wedding?

01:31:25 - 01:31:39 | Speaker 5:

So I did the opposite. No, the opposite. So I got married destination-wise, and now I'm getting a divorce. So I see all these people that are doing all these destination weddings and spending all this money. It's like, do you know the divorce rate right now? I know. It's insane.

01:31:39 - 01:31:39 | Speaker 3:

I'm telling you.

01:31:40 - 01:31:46 | Speaker 5:

You're spending all this money for what? I spent all that money, and now look at me. I'm 25 years old, and I'm getting a divorce.

01:31:46 - 01:31:58 | Speaker 3:

Wow. real quick uh how long did you make it three years this is what i think you should do if you can't make it to the five-year itch you have to give everybody back their money that they paid

01:31:58 - 01:32:06 | Speaker 5:

i think it's i don't have their gift back they're gonna have their wedding gift back

01:32:06 - 01:32:12 | Speaker 3:

i'm sorry you get your money back or your money back in the whole deal that's what you got to do

01:32:12 - 01:32:21 | Speaker 2:

01:32:43 - 01:32:44 | Speaker 3:

You're a doo-doo head.

01:32:48 - 01:32:49 | Speaker 5:

Let's go.

01:32:49 - 01:33:51 | Speaker 3:

Mojo in the Morning, phone number 844-MOJO-LIVE, text 95500. I helped Chelsea do a little cleaning up around the house this weekend, which is kind of interesting because I do feel like the simplest things in my life, in my uh my marriage will turn my wife on like i can go and i could buy her everything i've ever thought of buying her and it won't do anything for her but i can actually just empty the dishwasher and it completely transforms that woman to make her feel like something special i don't get it i mean not that i think that this is bad this is actually a good thing but this weekend i was helping chelsea and we were kind of like cleaning up a bunch of crap and putting some stuff away and doing it, you know, because our house sometimes becomes like you go weeks without doing it. Like a dumping ground. And I looked at the way that she was looking at me as I was helping her do some of these things, and I felt like she was undressing me with her eyes.

01:33:51 - 01:33:52 | Speaker 2:

Taking the sling off.

01:33:53 - 01:34:36 | Speaker 3:

It was. I could have it now off at home, which is nice. Okay. It is kind of nice to have that off because, yeah, because I had that shoulder surgery. But it is wild, though. She was looking at me at one point. And I was like, you're turned on right now, aren't you? And she goes, stop that. And I go, no, I'm telling you, there's something about it. What is the simplest thing that your significant other does that just turns you on? For Chelsea, it's when I go to work in the morning. As she sees me walking, I'm going to work, hon. Oh, I'm so hot right now. Like, see that? I come home from work. Oh, he's back. You know what I mean? But, no, do you get turned on, like, when you see your guy cutting the grass or, you know.

01:34:36 - 01:34:37 | Speaker 1:

Power washing.

01:34:37 - 01:34:38 | Speaker 3:

Or doing, power washing.

01:34:38 - 01:34:46 | Speaker 1:

That was yesterday's activity. Really? Power washing. He was power washing on graduation day? He was power washing. I mean, the graduation wasn't until three o'clock.

01:34:46 - 01:34:51 | Speaker 3:

I know, but that's, like, a big day. That's, like, you know, usually it's, like, you got to pull all that stuff out and do that.

01:34:51 - 01:34:55 | Speaker 1:

Yeah, he was power washing all the outdoor, you know, furniture and the patio.

01:34:55 - 01:34:58 | Speaker 3:

Does it make you feel good when you see him do stuff on his honeymoon list?

01:34:58 - 01:34:59 | Speaker 1:

But then he was, like, you know, bending.

01:35:00 - 01:35:05 | Speaker 4:

down with the power washer and i kept opening the sliding door and like saying stuff to him and he

01:35:05 - 01:35:11 | Speaker 2:

was like stop but it there it is like a thing yeah has he said anything to you that you do

01:35:11 - 01:35:18 | Speaker 4:

like around the house that he finds attractive um i don't know i don't think so and what about

01:35:18 - 01:36:51 | Speaker 1:

you for chelsea what do you like that chelsea does honestly when i when i see chelsea like uh do pretty much when she's cooking like she doesn't chelsea's not a big cooker like she does or doesn't like make a lot of meal but when she like she'll make she has two things that she's made that are to me my favorite things one is she makes an unbelievable tortilla soup and she's making the tortilla soup i'm like watching her and she usually will be in the kitchen doing it and she'll have like this you know something on tv or something on her phone like watching tiktoks while she's doing it and i'm watching her the whole time and i'm going oh my god this looks so great or she makes she makes a lasagna when she makes a lasagna and because it's a that's a process oh i don't know what it is but it kind of makes me and this is weird to say this but her mom was a big cooker and when i first started dating chelsea i would go over to her house and her mom was like she'd make her own pasta like homemade pasta out of a pasta machine and she was you know hardcore italian making her own you know uh gravy as she called it instead of sauce yeah and stuff and i see chelsea doing stuff like that i'm like oh this is unbelievable chelsea one time told me that when i picked up the dog's poop in the front of the house once like when i got out there literally with a garbage bag you know like one of those plastic bags from kroger yeah and i was picking up the garbage she was staring at me out the window she just needed it done and getting like tingly getting tingly to us i think so yeah there was something about jamie what's up it's Mojo in the morning, I look hot when I blank. What is it that your spouse looks hot doing?

01:36:53 - 01:37:00 | Speaker 4:

Well, let me give you a little quick update. I work 16 hours a day driving a dump truck for a cement company.

01:37:01 - 01:37:01 | Speaker 5:

Yeah.

01:37:01 - 01:37:07 | Speaker 4:

And by the time I get home, he has a house clean, dinner going, shower.

01:37:09 - 01:37:09 | Speaker 1:

And what?

01:37:10 - 01:37:11 | Speaker 4:

With the dog taken care of.

01:37:11 - 01:37:14 | Speaker 1:

And the dog. So he has.

01:37:14 - 01:37:15 | Speaker 4:

It's a major turn on.

01:37:15 - 01:37:35 | Speaker 1:

So when you come home after a long, hard day on the dump truck. By the way, what is that song in the dump truck? Isn't there a song? Dump, got to truck, like a dump, like a truck, like a dump, dump, dump. You think a thong song? Thong song, yeah. You're ready to go home and put on the thong, aren't you? You're ready to go.

01:37:36 - 01:37:44 | Speaker 4:

Right. But it's a major turn on knowing that I get to come home every day. And I don't have to lift a finger when I get home.

01:37:44 - 01:37:45 | Speaker 1:

Does he start a bath for you?

01:37:46 - 01:37:47 | Speaker 4:

Sometimes.

01:37:47 - 01:37:56 | Speaker 1:

I did that one time for Chelsea. I said to her, I go, can I start a bath for you? And she looked at me like, who are you? What are you talking about? Does he have a job? What's going on, Danielle?

01:37:58 - 01:38:01 | Speaker 5:

Hi, first time on time. Hey. Danielle, let me go.

01:38:02 - 01:38:03 | Speaker 1:

What's going on?

01:38:04 - 01:38:16 | Speaker 5:

So my big turn on is when I see my boyfriend taking out the trash. I don't know. It's like something about his muscles and just, I don't know. It's just taking out the trash. I don't know.

01:38:16 - 01:38:25 | Speaker 1:

Just bringing that trash out, putting it in the can, bringing it to the curb, doing all that stuff without even having to be asked. Is that unbelievable? Yes. It's foreplay.

01:38:26 - 01:38:26 | Speaker 2:

Right.

01:38:27 - 01:38:28 | Speaker 1:

Yeah.

01:38:28 - 01:38:28 | Speaker 2:

We got to eat.

01:38:28 - 01:38:30 | Speaker 1:

I like it. I'm telling you.

01:38:30 - 01:38:31 | Speaker 2:

That's all we got to do.

01:38:31 - 01:38:32 | Speaker 1:

Tina, what's up?

01:38:34 - 01:38:36 | Speaker 3:

Good morning. Good morning. Good morning.

01:38:36 - 01:38:39 | Speaker 1:

Good morning, Tina. You're very professional. How are you?

01:38:40 - 01:38:49 | Speaker 3:

So my husband's a plumber, and in the wintertime, when he has to wear his black, like, bib overalls with a skull cap, oh, my God.

01:38:51 - 01:38:53 | Speaker 1:

That gets you going, huh?

01:38:53 - 01:39:02 | Speaker 3:

Oh, my God. He just looks so hot with the skull cap and the whole bib overall thing. Oh, my God. Every time. Every time.

01:39:02 - 01:39:05 | Speaker 1:

Do you ever have him put it on in the summertime, even if it's hot like hell outside?

01:39:06 - 01:39:11 | Speaker 3:

Well, I'm actually sitting next to him right now, and he has jean overalls on. It kind of gives the same effect.

01:39:11 - 01:39:13 | Speaker 1:

What's up? What's his name?

01:39:14 - 01:39:14 | Speaker 3:

His name.

01:40:00 - 01:40:11 | Speaker 6:

love language is acts of service 100 yeah when you do things and it like you know you said with the gifts so maybe you're best at expressing love through gifts but that's not how chelsea

01:40:31 - 01:40:36 | Speaker 3:

01:41:00 - 01:41:05 | Speaker 7:

Is it that when you turn it around and you're kind of wearing it backwards like that, she knows you're about ready to do some business?

01:41:06 - 01:41:13 | Speaker 3:

I guess so. It's just something. I like that. And then I go out and split wood, you know, so that works. Split wood.

01:41:13 - 01:41:16 | Speaker 1:

This guy, come on. Oh, my God. Just take off my pants.

01:41:18 - 01:41:21 | Speaker 7:

Come on. Rebecca, what's going on?

01:41:22 - 01:41:31 | Speaker 6:

First time, long time. Hey, Rebecca. Hey, Rebecca on the phone. The mechanic smell from when a mechanic comes home.

01:41:32 - 01:41:32 | Speaker 7:

Really?

01:41:33 - 01:41:34 | Speaker 6:

Like that oil. Yes.

01:41:35 - 01:41:36 | Speaker 7:

What does he do for a living?

01:41:38 - 01:41:39 | Speaker 6:

He worked in a junkyard.

01:41:40 - 01:41:44 | Speaker 7:

So he comes home smelling like a car. You are turned on.

01:41:46 - 01:41:49 | Speaker 6:

Yes, absolutely. Isn't that amazing? Wow.

01:41:50 - 01:41:57 | Speaker 7:

That's wild. You would think that that would be bad, because I would think to myself, like, if he's got oil underneath his fingernails and kind of, you know what I mean?

01:41:57 - 01:41:59 | Speaker 6:

No, dirty hands are the best.

01:41:59 - 01:42:02 | Speaker 7:

Do you let him, like, touch you before he goes and takes a shower when he comes home?

01:42:04 - 01:42:05 | Speaker 6:

Yes, absolutely.

01:42:05 - 01:42:09 | Speaker 7:

That's amazing. That's a, you must be a downriver girl. Are you a downriver girl?

01:42:11 - 01:42:13 | Speaker 6:

No, I'm from Westland.

01:42:13 - 01:42:14 | Speaker 7:

Oh, okay.

01:42:14 - 01:42:14 | Speaker 6:

All right.

01:42:15 - 01:42:18 | Speaker 7:

01:42:59 - 01:43:01 | Speaker 3:

It's the second date update on Mojo in the Morning.

01:43:02 - 01:43:14 | Speaker 7:

All right, Mojo in the Morning Show. Second date update. Trying to make you get another date here. We're trying to see if we can get you a second date. Annika is on with us right now. Hi, how are you, Annika?

01:43:15 - 01:43:17 | Speaker 5:

Hi, I'm okay. How are you?

01:43:17 - 01:43:23 | Speaker 7:

Good. I can't believe that he wouldn't call you back. You said that the date was great. You guys went out to eat, and everything was good.

01:43:24 - 01:43:48 | Speaker 5:

Yeah, well, we met at a spin class, which was kind of fun. Okay. So he came up to me after the class. He asked me out. And then we went to dinner. Everything was great. We went to this, like, really fancy steakhouse, and I never go to places like that. So I was having fun. and then he drove me home after we did kiss but nothing more happened and then he never called me back

01:43:48 - 01:43:51 | Speaker 7:

was it a good kiss or was it just a kiss goodbye

01:43:51 - 01:43:55 | Speaker 5:

it was cordial it was very cordial

01:43:55 - 01:44:04 | Speaker 7:

you wanted more and it didn't happen but that's okay that's where the second date comes into play you thought Harrison is not calling you back Harrison will you say hello to Annika

01:44:04 - 01:44:09 | Speaker 4:

hello hi

01:44:09 - 01:44:39 | Speaker 7:

hey what's going on uh nice to hear your voice who approached who at the spin class who who was the person that said hey i want to give you my number or here's my number it was him so you actually were there you initiated this this relationship harrison and now you're not initiating a second what's going on yeah yeah um well um

01:44:39 - 01:44:50 | Speaker 4:

So we had a great dinner. You know, honestly, the vibe was great. However, after dinner, she was stealing the salt and pepper shakers.

01:44:52 - 01:44:55 | Speaker 7:

Are you joking or is that serious?

01:44:55 - 01:44:59 | Speaker 4:

No, no, no. And I'm definitely not joking. So I sort of like.

01:45:00 - 01:45:13 | Speaker 8:

I didn't dare her to do it. I'm like, oh, look, these are nice salt and pepper shakers. I bet you won't steal them, like, in a jokingly way. And she ended up doing it. She even tried to take home the glasses they poured our drinks in, too. She's a daredevil.

01:45:14 - 01:45:32 | Speaker 2:

She's a klepto. She's a thief. So hold on for a second. She steals the salt and pepper shakers. She doesn't try to steal the glasses. but you say that you guys were kind of kidding around. Were you...

01:45:32 - 01:45:44 | Speaker 8:

Yeah, I was like joking about it. Like, oh, these are really nice salt and pepper shakers. Like, oh, how funny would it be if we walked out with them, you know, just like kidding and like in a joking manner and then she throws them in her purse.

01:45:44 - 01:45:47 | Speaker 1:

I mean, you put it out there. Yeah, but you don't do that.

01:45:48 - 01:45:51 | Speaker 8:

Like, this is a fancy restaurant. You know what I'm saying? What was...

01:45:51 - 01:46:07 | Speaker 7:

But we were looking at the salt and pepper shakers at the table and we were both like, oh my God, this place is so nice. His cookware is so nice. Like, what if we just took it? They probably have so many. He literally said, I dare you to take it. So I did.

01:46:08 - 01:46:11 | Speaker 2:

So it was his idea to do it then?

01:46:12 - 01:46:13 | Speaker 7:

He dared me to.

01:46:15 - 01:46:23 | Speaker 2:

You dared her to. You were the accomplice on this crime, Harrison. Now you're throwing her under the bus.

01:46:24 - 01:46:40 | Speaker 8:

I wasn't trying. Like, it was just a joking. You know, it was a very jokingly manner, you know, in jest. And then she looks around like she's a thief, literally, puts him in her purse, and then she tried taking the glasses to pour the drinks, and I go, what are you doing? No. I was embarrassed.

01:46:41 - 01:46:45 | Speaker 2:

So you didn't find it kind of funny that she was doing this stuff, or you thought you were embarrassed by the deal?

01:46:46 - 01:46:48 | Speaker 8:

I was definitely embarrassed by it. I did not find it funny at all, no.

01:46:49 - 01:47:15 | Speaker 2:

All right, I want to pose this to our listeners. Do we think that what she did was wrong? I mean, obviously, you can probably think so. Yeah, she shouldn't be stealing from it. But don't you think, though, that he had something to do with this? Absolutely. If he's telling her to do this. Was this your first time ever being a thief, Annika? I can't say it was, no. So you've done this before.

01:47:15 - 01:47:20 | Speaker 1:

Is it a pattern or you've just done it here and there? No, it's not a pattern.

01:47:20 - 01:47:22 | Speaker 7:

I've done it like a normal amount.

01:47:23 - 01:47:28 | Speaker 2:

A normal amount. Any normal citizen. Normal amount of pizza, it turns into a pattern. What's up, Jillian? How you doing?

01:47:30 - 01:47:35 | Speaker 6:

Hi. I just want to know, can a girl have hobbies? Like, leave her be.

01:47:36 - 01:47:41 | Speaker 2:

No, stealing cannot be a hobby. Have you done this before as a hobby?

01:47:41 - 01:47:47 | Speaker 6:

I mean, me personally, no, but let her be. Let her have some salt and pepper.

01:47:47 - 01:47:58 | Speaker 1:

I just think it'd be an entirely different story if he caught her just shoveling items into her purse versus going, hey, I dare you to do that. And she did it.

01:47:58 - 01:48:04 | Speaker 2:

I think there's something kind of hot about it, that she's like that adventurous to do stuff like that. What's up, Jessica? Hi.

01:48:05 - 01:48:12 | Speaker 3:

So listen, you can't dare somebody to do something and then they do it and then you say there's a bad guy.

01:48:12 - 01:48:12 | Speaker 2:

Correct.

01:48:13 - 01:48:20 | Speaker 3:

That doesn't work. That's like saying, hey, let's screw, and then she does it, and you're like, well, she's a hoe because she did it. Right.

01:48:20 - 01:48:26 | Speaker 2:

That is. By the way, isn't it? It's called slut shaming. This is steel shaming right now.

01:48:26 - 01:48:27 | Speaker 5:

This is the girl you want.

01:48:28 - 01:48:29 | Speaker 2:

Anna, what's up?

01:48:29 - 01:49:00 | Speaker 5:

Okay, so I was dared to, we were in a little dive bar, to steal a payphone off of a wall. Oh, my God. Yeah, like, you know, like for aesthetic purposes, They have, like, those little pay phones, you know. Yeah, yeah. And they were like, shove that under your jacket and walk out. See, can you get out with that? That's the biggest thing on the wall. And I was like, bleh. And stuck it under my jacket and made it all the way out. So salt and pepper shakers, that's nothing. Yeah, that's right.

01:49:00 - 01:49:14 | Speaker 2:

Harrison, he couldn't last one night with you. Let's rob a bank next time. Like, let's go full forging this whole deal. We're going to wear ski masks on our next date. Christina, what's up? It's Mojo in the Morning.

01:49:15 - 01:49:31 | Speaker 4:

Hey. Yeah, so I definitely feel like it sounded like they were being silly and, like, talking about it. But she was going off of this vibe. And, like, who freaking hasn't done that? My husband and I, like, we have stolen, like, this barbecue sauce is so good when they have, like, the whole bottle there. And we laugh about it.

01:49:31 - 01:49:34 | Speaker 2:

Where is this at? Where are you stealing the barbecue sauce at?

01:49:35 - 01:49:38 | Speaker 4:

That was actually in South Carolina, so all the barbecue is there.

01:49:38 - 01:49:51 | Speaker 2:

Oh, good. That is great. When you find a good thing at a good restaurant and they don't sell it, you're like, I want this thing. I'm taking this with me. I can't tell you how many Outback Steakhouse steak knives I have at my house. Jade, what's up? Hi.

01:49:52 - 01:50:00 | Speaker 5:

Hi. I think that that is so funny, and he definitely should have thought that was funny, especially since he's the one that.

01:50:00 - 01:50:20 | Speaker 4:

said something about it yeah i would have thought it was hysterical it's something that i do we went up north one time my girlfriend and i and we were drinking wine at a wine tasting and we just stole the wine glasses we were drunk we thought it was so funny we like slipped them in our pocket we probably weren't like wine glasses are tough yeah how do you

01:50:20 - 01:50:21 | Speaker 8:

You just steal wine glasses in a purse.

01:50:21 - 01:50:28 | Speaker 1:

Were they the stimulus ones? Yeah. Like the little ones? Yeah, I was the stimulus ones. Oh, so those are. Oh, Shannon knows this.

01:50:29 - 01:50:40 | Speaker 8:

How many do you have at home? Evelyn says that this is not funny, what she was doing. Evelyn, you may be the only person that doesn't find this funny. Or maybe you and Harrison. What's going on?

01:50:41 - 01:50:53 | Speaker 7:

Because it's not funny. It's like, why would you steal the salt and pepper shakers on the first date? That's why he's going to look at you like that. Okay, even if it was a joke and he dared you, but still, you're a grown woman. Calm down.

01:50:54 - 01:50:57 | Speaker 8:

But she's just having fun, and he's the one that told her to do it.

01:50:57 - 01:51:07 | Speaker 7:

Why dare her, then? All the other callers said, me and my friends, me and my friends, you just met this man. I'm not going to think it's funny. I'm going to look at you sideways.

01:51:07 - 01:51:13 | Speaker 8:

But he dared her to do it. He told her to do it. Now, all of a sudden, he doesn't find it funny.

01:51:13 - 01:51:20 | Speaker 7:

If I dare you to take your bra off and wave your booze at the waiter, you're going to do that, too? She might. She's the girl woman.

01:51:20 - 01:51:41 | Speaker 8:

That's my kind of girl right there. I don't know. I think that you can't all of a sudden say, hey, let's all do this stuff. And then she starts doing it, and you're having fun after a night of drinks. And now all of a sudden you're like, I'm going to judge her for this whole deal. I think that's crazy. I love the things that people are stealing. Jenna, what did you guys steal?

01:51:41 - 01:51:54 | Speaker 3:

i saw i stole a coffee mug from a restaurant which restaurant was this uh i don't even remember it's up in mount pleasant um i can't say now i don't want them to hear me

01:51:54 - 01:52:02 | Speaker 8:

i love that by the way shannon have you ever stolen anything from one of your favorite places

01:52:02 - 01:52:16 | Speaker 1:

that you'd like to go to oh god probably well i i mean anytime there's beautiful flowers at an event I carry them. Yeah, I document it. I carry them out. I do not care. I know they're just going to go in the garbage.

01:52:17 - 01:52:19 | Speaker 8:

Jay, what have you stolen from restaurants?

01:52:20 - 01:52:37 | Speaker 5:

I had my birthday, and I'd recently got into an accident, so I'm, like, in a leg brace and everything, and they fed me tequila shots, and I walked out with this umbrella. I actually crawled out. I was in a terrible drive.

01:52:39 - 01:52:41 | Speaker 8:

I love it. That's funny.

01:52:41 - 01:52:46 | Speaker 5:

The sombrero, the margarita pitcher, glasses. You took it all.

01:52:46 - 01:52:50 | Speaker 8:

Take it all. You're ready for Cinco de Mayo next year. What's up, Nico? Hi.

01:52:51 - 01:52:52 | Speaker 6:

Hey, what's up, man?

01:52:52 - 01:52:53 | Speaker 8:

What's going on?

01:52:53 - 01:53:04 | Speaker 6:

Nothing much. I just wanted to say, not to be rude, but this guy's a little uptight. I think the thing she should have stolen is his virginity. Because this is crazy.

01:53:05 - 01:53:07 | Speaker 4:

Come on. Crazy work.

01:53:09 - 01:53:15 | Speaker 6:

I'm just saying because, like, I don't know, it's a bit of a harsh response.

01:53:15 - 01:53:18 | Speaker 8:

You are, Bane. All right, second date update on Mojo in the Morning.

01:53:18 - 01:53:29 | Speaker 2:

This is the home of the Dirty on the 30. Throwback, throwdown. Second date update. In War of the Roses, this is Mojo in the Morning. Mojo in the Morning's Dirty on the 30.

01:53:30 - 01:53:33 | Speaker 8:

All right, Shannon, we're going to get a look at you doing okay over there.

01:53:33 - 01:53:49 | Speaker 1:

You guys, it's so freaking annoying. Kev had it last week. I kind of had it last week, and it's just still going strong. Is it allergies, or what is going on here? I don't know, but I'm so sick of clearing my throat, and it's so gross, and I apologize. One big one. I try to turn off my mic every time I do it, but it's...

01:53:49 - 01:53:53 | Speaker 8:

One big one. Go. All right. What's up in this dirty?

01:53:54 - 01:54:16 | Speaker 1:

Okay, so I want to clear something up really quickly that I heard over the weekend. Remember last year, we were talking about Haley Bieber selling her beauty brand, Rode, for a billion dollars. Yeah, that was last week. Yeah, now I'm hearing it actually was a $400 million deal. Still, not terrible. But it wasn't a billion bucks. No equity in that for Hailey Bieber. Only branding rights.

01:54:16 - 01:54:19 | Speaker 8:

How did a billion dollars get named after? Unless she has to pay like-

01:54:19 - 01:54:27 | Speaker 1:

I think there are other people involved in the deal and they're taking pieces of that. So she is not getting that full billion dollars, if I understand it correctly.

01:54:27 - 01:54:29 | Speaker 8:

She gets $400 million. That's not too shabby.

01:54:30 - 01:54:59 | Speaker 1:

Yeah. Lady Gaga has signed on to guest star in the Netflix series Wednesday. She's going to star Season 2 Part 2 as Rosalind Rotwood, a new Nevermore teacher who crosses paths with Wednesday, played by Jenna Ortega, of course. Season 2 Part 1 set to premiere on August 6th, if you want to check her out. Buffalo Bills quarterback Josh Allen is now a married man. He and Haley Steinfeld got married in California on Saturday after two years of dating. Very private.

01:55:00 - 01:55:36 | Speaker 5:

very intimate wedding. I'm sure there were celebrities there. I haven't even really heard who was there aside from, and I mentioned this this morning, very randomly, comedian Larry David made an appearance at this wedding and people were going, why is he here? He's not even a Bills fan. In fact, he's a Jets fan, which makes it even stranger. But it turns out Larry is a client of Haley Steinfeld's dad, who's like a trainer in the LA area. And that's why he was at the wedding i guess elon musk was walking around with a black eye at the end of last week

01:55:36 - 01:55:42 | Speaker 4:

did you guys see this he did he did his uh close out press conference so everybody had theories on

01:55:42 - 01:55:56 | Speaker 5:

how he got this black eye and the big joke was that he had been hanging out with the first lady of france brigitte macron because you saw what she did to her husband last week coming off that airplane but no he said it was actually one of his kids who did that yeah no i just wasn't around

01:55:56 - 01:56:04 | Speaker 1:

with little ex, and I said, go ahead, punch me in the face, and he did. It turns out even a five-year-old punching you in the face, actually. That was exited?

01:56:05 - 01:56:07 | Speaker 4:

Yeah. Ex could do it. If you knew ex, he could do it.

01:56:07 - 01:56:10 | Speaker 5:

I don't know why you would tell your kid to punch you in the face,

01:56:10 - 01:56:13 | Speaker 3:

but... Off the academy. Okay, fine.

01:56:14 - 01:56:24 | Speaker 5:

And if you are a fan and have been a fan for years and years, it is coming the final season of Stranger Things. We got the trailer over the weekend. Here it is.

01:56:24 - 01:56:25 | Speaker 2:

I think about that night.

01:56:26 - 01:56:27 | Speaker 1:

All the time.

01:56:31 - 01:56:34 | Speaker 2:

The night it came for you. Tonight.

01:56:38 - 01:56:46 | Speaker 5:

All of this started. I couldn't watch season four. I couldn't watch the last season. Really? I think I got two episodes in and I was so scared.

01:56:47 - 01:57:01 | Speaker 3:

So Netflix had a huge event. I think it's called Tootum or something like that. It's like their event to showcase all the new content that's going to be released. So you've got an updated trailer for Happy Gilmore 2, which I'm sure you guys are excited.

01:57:02 - 01:57:03 | Speaker 5:

Yep, I have that in here, too.

01:57:03 - 01:57:13 | Speaker 3:

By the way, I thought he was going to play it. But yeah, Stranger Things is going to be released. Did you want me to play it? I thought it was a perfect segue. But Stranger Things is going to be released in like three different...

01:57:13 - 01:57:25 | Speaker 2:

How are you going to put Vienna through ballet school? It's $75,000 a year. That's four years. That's $333,000. That's terrible math, Johnny. It's $300,000. I wouldn't even know where to start.

01:57:25 - 01:57:48 | Speaker 3:

Let them see the happy I fell in love with. Oh, beautiful. But yeah, Stranger Things 3 is going to be released in three different parts, which I'm not too excited about. And they're scheduling it around the later holidays. So you'll get one right around Thanksgiving. The second part on Christmas Day. And the final episode will be New Year's Eve. But a bunch of stuff was released. Lady Gaga is going to be in the new Wednesday. Yeah, we talked about that. Season 2, that was good.

01:57:48 - 01:57:49 | Speaker 4:

So here's the thing.

01:57:49 - 01:57:50 | Speaker 3:

Lots to look forward to.

01:57:50 - 01:57:57 | Speaker 4:

We were talking about streaming platforms that you waste money on. I feel like I'm watching majority of my stuff on Netflix.

01:57:57 - 01:57:57 | Speaker 5:

Oh, me too.

01:57:57 - 01:58:02 | Speaker 4:

Like, I feel like I'm not doing anything at all on Prime at all. Unless it's sports.

01:58:02 - 01:58:04 | Speaker 5:

YouTube TV and Netflix is pretty much all we watch.

01:58:04 - 01:58:18 | Speaker 3:

50 Cent got me in a chokehold with Starz because he has content on there that's amazing. And BMF, which is shot after Big Meech and the whole Black Mafia family in Detroit, that's coming back out this Friday. So I got to have that. And the size of anger, I got to put you on some show.

01:58:18 - 01:58:42 | Speaker 4:

But I feel like, honestly, like Hulu and Prime and all those ones, I'm just kind of like not into it at all. I'm telling you, they need to, and this would be the thing, we need to go back to the day where you can have one platform and kind of have just like, kind of like we used to subscribe to HBO and stuff like that. Like you can have what you want and not have to have, and do a-

01:58:42 - 01:58:46 | Speaker 5:

But the add-ons were cheap. It was like four extra bucks or something.

01:58:46 - 01:58:59 | Speaker 4:

It's like you get three of them. You can bundle three together for a certain amount. But the problem is that all these guys are spending so much money on, like, you know, Happy Gilmore 2s and Stranger Things that it's costing too much money to do. That's true.

Mojo in the Morning show. A lot of high school graduations over the weekend. Yesterday was a big day for them. Shannon, you guys had one in your family too. How was it?

01:59:29 - 02:00:00 | Speaker 5:

It was so great. Shout out to the class of 2025 at Lutheran North. They had their ceremony. We were there cheering on Wes's son, my stepson Kieran. But they had their ceremony at the Macomb Community College center for the performing arts which was a beautiful venue by the way great ceremony it wasn't super long you guys about an hour and a half um it was like a church service and then they did the ceremony but it was it was so cool to see him to hear his name and to see him walk across the state.

02:00:00 - 02:00:12 | Speaker 1:

stage and hear all the jerks that still screamed and clapped and made noise even though they said please don't do that after each name is called so that every family can hear their child's name

02:00:12 - 02:00:38 | Speaker 3:

but it's always uh the uh large italian family that does that it's either the large italian family or it's not gonna lie it's the black family that's a fact we love they always go crazy they do it white and quiet they all do it and then they don't understand that the kid that's right after with the simon johnson yeah never gets his name do not blame my family blame the person

02:00:38 - 02:00:44 | Speaker 2:

calling the name say that boy name again say simon's name again it's always it's always you

02:00:44 - 02:00:54 | Speaker 3:

know and i'm not just saying it's just black families but it is the italian families too in our family it's the lucidos the lucidos go crazy it's like the lucidos is like we're happy that

02:00:54 - 02:02:35 | Speaker 1:

you graduated yesterday with him too it's so funny you say that yeah they they get uh they get loud so uh how was it was great everybody i posted pictures yesterday and everybody was dming asking if um the kids had ipads with them during the ceremony and it actually turned out i only had Smith with me because Luce had, if you have a kid that plays lacrosse, you know, this was like the final weekend of all the Lex Jam and Lex Bash and all the, you know, championship games. Her team, we thought she was going to be done on Saturday. Her team ended up continuously winning. All the events. And then, so she was going to the championship. We watched a game Sunday morning before the graduation ceremony and they won. So she was going to the championships. So Wes was like, you are playing in the championship, which of course she really wanted to do. So she wasn't with me, but Smith came. I'll take it. They lost. They won. Oh, I didn't say that. That's amazing. What are you waiting for? Say that. Yeah, I know. Shout out to her team. Let's go, Lucy. It was awesome. She was so excited. But so Smith was with me and I didn't even have a choice to bring the iPad because he left it at his dad's house. So I'm like, oh my God. I packed so many snacks. I'm like, worst case scenario. And I said to him, Bubby, you can have my phone. Like if you need my phone, you can have my phone. Well, then we get there, and I said, but not during the church part, because it's a Lutheran school. Obviously, there's an hour-long church service at the beginning. I'm like, you can't have it during the church part. So we get through the church part, and he was actually really good. That's great. And I'm thinking, hey, I can't really give it to him anyway, even if I had the iPad, but even my phone, because it was dark in there.

02:02:35 - 02:02:37 | Speaker 3:

Oh, so you could see the light. It's like in a movie.

02:02:38 - 02:02:44 | Speaker 1:

It was dark in there. it wasn't bright so like you would see you know that he had what he was doing on youtube or

02:02:44 - 02:02:57 | Speaker 3:

whatever when when they thank god when they graduate at lutheran north uh is it like some of the schools where the kids who uh are like the smart kids all get these ropes to wear around

02:02:57 - 02:03:11 | Speaker 1:

their necks and stuff around their you know i don't think anybody had anything i don't think they did tassels or i don't know what they're called they had everybody who was national honor society stand up at the beginning and that was really it at uh the boys school uh that they went

02:03:11 - 02:03:43 | Speaker 3:

to the kids who were like the smart kids all had ropes and my kids didn't uh actually one did jacob had a couple but um so you you kind of like go oh okay there's a smart kids and okay there's the kids that just barely got through and uh the funniest was joe when he graduated from notre name prep all his pictures had him wearing like 8 000 of those tassels around his neck because he would take all of his smart friends he'd go up to all the smart kids and say can i wear them and he

02:03:43 - 02:04:05 | Speaker 1:

would wear the thing so we were all spread out with where we were sitting too so like smith and i were sitting in the very very back um which was totally fine because obviously wes and then my stepdaughter samantha and kieran's girlfriend sat together and then kieran's mom and uh stepdad like sat elsewhere and the grandparent they had us all split up which was weird that's interesting

02:04:05 - 02:04:16 | Speaker 3:

i was wondering how they do that with like a like divorce families like uh do you get tickets all in the same area or is it tough when you have that many people they split us up i think kieran had

02:04:16 - 02:04:45 | Speaker 1:

to get tickets from maybe some other friends of his you know to get extra tickets for all of us to be able to go and then um but it was so funny too because smith and i sat behind a guy and there's always one who recorded the entire graduation ceremony on his phone so he had his phone up the whole damn time was he was he recording it for the school or who was he recording it for no i think he had he had a kid graduating either a kid or a you know niece or

02:04:45 - 02:04:59 | Speaker 3:

nephew or and he recorded it on his phone he had that much memory on his phone start to finish wow at least it wasn't the ipad that's the one that killed me is that the is that like yeah the people that do it with the ipad they look like they're holding up like a cafeteria tray You know?

02:05:00 - 02:05:07 | Speaker 2:

have the cover that's like flipped out so it's like 32 you can't see around them you gotta help

02:05:07 - 02:05:36 | Speaker 1:

them it's really blurry like poor guy but why is i don't understand what you're doing doing with that like it's the same people that go to these concerts and they film the whole concert and i'm like going are you really going to go back and listen to that kendrick lamar you know like hidden tracks you know what I mean like I mean I get if you're gonna tape like a little bit of not like us or something like that but you really you're taping like some random songs and stuff

02:05:36 - 02:05:50 | Speaker 2:

I've done this a lot and typically if I don't upload it to my story that night or the next morning you're not doing I'm never doing it but then I will say I'm not deleting it either until I get you know this notification that pops up I'm lacking stories I'm trying to scroll all the way

02:05:50 - 02:06:26 | Speaker 1:

up and I see I got Drake footage from two years ago my hope is that the people that videotape concerts and do that that one thing that they actually do need a video of they can't get it because their phone says they're out of memory yeah um i did notice i so you posted a picture on mojo in the morning and then i saw on cupcake shannon your personal i saw that you posted more pictures yeah and i got a chance to kind of see and i it's it's interesting because i think i've seen uh what uh wes's ex looks like which by the way she's very attractive lady um i uh i i was intrigued. Oh, everybody

02:06:26 - 02:06:28 | Speaker 3:

was commenting, which I think is so

02:06:28 - 02:06:34 | Speaker 1:

funny. Wes has a type. She definitely, like you guys look like you guys could be, she looks like her daughter.

02:06:34 - 02:06:38 | Speaker 3:

Oh yeah, Sam is her type. She and Sam, yeah. We're both petite brunettes.

02:06:39 - 02:07:44 | Speaker 1:

Yeah, you guys, look at you guys. But then the funny thing is, he's got a type, but she doesn't because her guy and Wes don't look anything like. Yeah, yeah, yeah. Honestly, I'd have a hard time with that. Which means if you look different. If Chelsea and I got divorced, and the next guy she dates... Looks totally opposite of you? Yeah. You don't think that's how it should be? I would feel like the whole time we were married together, she wouldn't have been attracted to me. Like, oh, this is what you really like. Like, just to kind of... I mean, and you can see it on Shannon's page, but you know, Wes is a... He's a shorter guy. He's a petite little man. Don't say petite. You can't call a grown man petite. And then this guy is like big, burly, dude. Like, he's like... Yeah, Frank's big. Like Frank, I would want Frank protecting me when you're in a fight with me. He's a cop, yeah. Oh, I want Frank as my protector. Although Wes has the skills of doing the ninja warrior. The best of both worlds. Maybe that's what it is. Have they ever gotten in a fight with each other? Can we see with him? No, they actually get along really well. Do they really?

02:07:44 - 02:07:47 | Speaker 3:

Yeah, we all went out to dinner together. Did you really? Yeah, yep.

02:07:47 - 02:07:49 | Speaker 1:

Do you ever pull her aside and say...

02:07:49 - 02:07:50 | Speaker 3:

Her and I sat next to each other.

02:07:50 - 02:07:51 | Speaker 1:

Do you complain about him at all?

02:07:51 - 02:07:57 | Speaker 3:

to complain about it uh i mean wes is the butt of a lot of jokes everybody piles on wes do you

02:07:57 - 02:08:03 | Speaker 1:

do you ever like pull aside and does she ever say to you he's still leaving his underwords

02:08:03 - 02:08:07 | Speaker 3:

well no wes's thing he's like you guys are never allowed to hang out without me

02:08:07 - 02:08:34 | Speaker 1:

so it's probably a good rule you know what i would do honestly if if i ever if god forbid i I hate to even say this, but if I ever got divorced and if I found out that my wife was, like, you know, banging seven nights a week, three times a day, I would be, like, so angry. Like, I would seriously be so upset. I would be, like, you know, if I said, because it wasn't happening with us.

02:08:35 - 02:08:38 | Speaker 3:

We do not talk about that.

02:08:39 - 02:08:53 | Speaker 1:

I would be, like, wouldn't you be upset? If you found out that your ex all of a sudden was with a guy that was skinnier and better looking than you and then having sex multiple times a day and hanging from the ceiling.

02:08:54 - 02:08:56 | Speaker 3:

I've also never hung from a ceiling.

02:08:57 - 02:09:05 | Speaker 2:

Well, I don't know, bro. I'd be upset. I feel like, I don't know. They couldn't be happy if that's what they would say. It's got to wear off.

02:09:06 - 02:09:07 | Speaker 1:

It's got to get old fast.

02:09:07 - 02:09:08 | Speaker 2:

They're trying to do something.

02:09:09 - 02:09:13 | Speaker 1:

That's awesome. Well, congratulations. It was a great day. It was a great weekend.

02:09:13 - 02:09:15 | Speaker 3:

It was a very busy weekend. It was a great weekend.

02:09:15 - 02:09:53 | Speaker 1:

You know, it's funny is I, I, uh, kids are different. Like, you know what I mean? Like my kids, my kids didn't even want to go to their graduation from high school. That's crazy. And to me, it's one of those things where I think later in life, you look back on it and you go, like Luke was hanging out with all of his high school friends yesterday. So he had all of a bunch of friends that were over at his buddy Jack's house and he came home and he said, and I said to him, I go, how was it? What was it? Because there was a bunch of kids and girls that he went to school with. And he goes, there's just something about the people that you grow up with and that knew you when you were the little scrawny, goofy kid and stuff. And he said, it just felt like home. It was very cool for them to do that.

02:09:53 - 02:09:55 | Speaker 3:

Yeah. It was good. Yeah.

02:09:55 - 02:09:59 | Speaker 1:

So I hated high school. I went to an all-guys Catholic school. We had.

02:10:00 - 02:10:33 | Speaker 6:

500 in our graduating class are you kidding me i hated it oh it was we had a huge class i couldn't stand it but now looking back on it and seeing how it was and how bad my high school experience was because it was four years of honestly you know i felt like i was in the military but i look back on it now and go god i wish i would have enjoyed it more you know so if there's any high school you loved i know you had a good you went to a great school at a great high school experience yeah you had a you had a school though that you know like we had rules upon rules you know i had to wear a tie every day and stuff what's up melissa hi

02:10:35 - 02:11:10 | Speaker 7:

hi there first time long hi there i had to call in about my boys um or i had to reach out about my boys and graduation my oldest son he graduated with honors he got his rope And he, this was like 10 years ago. And my other son, hey, he earned it. And a year later, his brother graduated. He didn't earn his rope, but he stole his brother's.

02:11:11 - 02:11:13 | Speaker 1:

That's great. That's so funny.

02:11:14 - 02:11:16 | Speaker 7:

And wore him? He walked across the stage. He did.

02:11:16 - 02:11:20 | Speaker 6:

Did anybody say anything? Like, did the school know that he wasn't supposed to have those ropes?

02:11:21 - 02:11:28 | Speaker 7:

Well, I'm sure they were staring at him as he walked across the state. You know what? I was so embarrassed and proud at the same time.

02:11:29 - 02:11:51 | Speaker 6:

And let me just say this to you, Melissa. Both kids, I'm sure, are your prides and joys. The second kid, I don't know what his name is, that kid's going to be the kid that's going to be like the next, you know, Matt Ishby or Dan Gilbert. He's the guy that's – he's the rich guy. He's the DeVos. He's the, you know, the Myers. He's the rich family, you know. He's going to figure out a way to do it, right?

02:11:51 - 02:11:53 | Speaker 7:

He is, yeah.

02:11:53 - 02:11:55 | Speaker 6:

He steals his way to the top. We love it.

02:11:57 - 02:12:02 | Speaker 7:

He's so smart. I love it. He's very smart. He loves it. He saves all his money.

02:12:03 - 02:12:05 | Speaker 6:

What's he doing nowadays? Is he in jail?

02:12:07 - 02:12:08 | Speaker 7:

No, he works for the police department.

02:12:08 - 02:12:11 | Speaker 5:

Oh, there you go. Oh, sorry. Yep.

02:12:11 - 02:12:18 | Speaker 6:

All right. He catches him. Thank you, Melissa. Appreciate you. All right. Take care. Thanks. All right, bye. WKQI Detroit.

All right. It is Mojo in the Morning. Kev, what's going on, man? My whole life is here.

02:14:42 - 02:15:00 | Speaker 5:

Yeah, so I had an amazing event at Total Wireless in Clinton Township on Harper Avenue. Big shout out to the team there. They had pizza, fun, food, games, and the whole nine. Met some great listeners. And there was one guy who was outside trying to explain.

02:15:00 - 02:16:12 | Speaker 2:

explain to a woman that he worked with about the mojo in the morning show and oh so she wasn't a listener she just came there to a shop okay kind of yeah yeah so once he told me that he was explaining to her i was like well let me go out there and explain to her let me tell her who i am tell her about our show and kind of the things that we do and during the course of our conversation i realized she was from chicago so i'm like okay well where do you what are you doing here she's like oh i moved here i'm like okay well what made you move here she was like my ex-husband i was like okay this is kind of interesting i don't want to dig too deep but like what's going on she was like i lived in chicago i came here we dated for 19 years married for 13 then we got a divorce and my whole life is here and this is all i know i didn't want to move back home i was like damn what is that like because i couldn't imagine picking up and leaving my everything being married to someone in a whole new state and city that i don't really know anybody in making this my home for over a decade and then a divert divorcing a person that i've known and then

02:16:12 - 02:16:38 | Speaker 3:

now i'm just stuck here huh it happens a ton yeah that happens all day it happened in chelsea i mean Or not Chelsea, but Chelsea moved here without having anybody here. But are we all still together, though? Yeah. So are you saying that if you divorced, if you move somewhere, like say that you moved to another place because of your spouse had a job or whatever, their family was there. Yeah. The moment you get divorced, if you have kids, you just don't, you can't.

02:16:38 - 02:16:40 | Speaker 2:

They didn't have kids.

02:16:40 - 02:16:40 | Speaker 3:

They had no kids.

02:16:40 - 02:17:02 | Speaker 2:

They don't have kids at all. Wow. Now, me, I'm not going to say I'm a social butterfly, but I think I would have my own set of friends. Or it wouldn't be hard for me to, like, go outside of whatever relationship it is that I have with my spouse and kind of, quote, unquote, make my own life. For her, she was like, I don't have anyone. Wow. So it was like, what are you just doing? You just go to work and go home type of vibe? Yeah.

02:17:02 - 02:17:52 | Speaker 1:

So that was Wes. He lived in Canada, was born and raised in Canada, met his ex-wife who was from here. So when they got married, he moved here, became an American citizen. They had their kids. Well, then they got divorced. And the kicker is when he got, when they got divorced, Wes was single for a little while, but then he had this idea of he was going to split his time between Michigan and warm weather, like Arizona or something. And so the way that he and his ex-wife share the kids, like he could go out there for chunks of days at a time, work, you know, get some sunshine and come back. And then that's what he was going to do. He was about to do. And then he met me. Then I really threw a wrench into the equation. So now he's really stuck here. Do you know what I mean? He's not going back to Canada. And he's definitely not getting, you know, whatever, a place in Arizona, which is his dream.

02:17:52 - 02:17:54 | Speaker 3:

He had no interest in going back to Canada, huh?

02:17:54 - 02:18:04 | Speaker 1:

Well, his kids were here and mom was here, you know, so. And he took such pride in becoming an American citizen because he married this American woman.

02:18:05 - 02:18:37 | Speaker 3:

So. Is there anybody listening to the show right now that was forced to move here? Wherever, wherever here is. Were you, did, did somebody bring you? I always I think it's interesting whenever I hear and we've had this with War of the Roses where people will, you know, marry somebody and then move them to the destination and then they get divorced within a short time of them marrying and then to sit there and go, wow, now what do I do? Do I move back?

02:18:37 - 02:18:53 | Speaker 1:

Or if you're not married, there are so many that really go out on a limb and take such a huge risk of following a boyfriend who got a new job going, okay, we're not, there's no commitment. We're not engaged. We're not married, but I love this person so much. So I'm going to, I'm going to go.

02:18:53 - 02:19:59 | Speaker 3:

844-MOJO-LIVE, 844-665-6548 is our telephone number. I will tell you this, that when Chelsea and I first got here and first moved back to the Midwest, because I was from the Midwest, she was from Arizona, we actually struggled the most probably in the first year that we lived here. She was going to move back to Arizona. And I think that that was the proximity of her moving and then taking the kids and moving back and me having a job here probably is the only thing that kept us together at that time. Like that we had to really kind of force. but that was going to be tough like that was going to be a that was a tough go because i i started right away uh said i told our boss at the time uh steve schramm i said hey i think i got to move back to arizona because i think chelsea's gonna you know leave me and we're gonna go back um and i think honestly her taking the kids and moving away from their dad probably the only thing that saved our marriage at that time thank god uh what's up sarah hi hey how's it going good What's going on?

02:20:00 - 02:20:22 | Speaker 5:

um i feel like i had to call in because this actually happened to my cousin's girlfriend she moved all the way from hawaii to be with him here in michigan oh my gosh no it's uh a little bit far um and are they still together no they broke up but he has kids with him so she's got

02:20:22 - 02:20:33 | Speaker 2:

to stay boy she got the short end of that twice hawaii hawaii though would be an interesting place to live though i don't know if i could live in hawaii i'd have island fever she probably cold

02:20:33 - 02:20:39 | Speaker 5:

yeah i know he met her on vacation and somehow convinced her to move all the way here to be

02:20:39 - 02:20:44 | Speaker 2:

with him we never understood it does she wear sweatshirts on 80 degree days because she is

02:20:44 - 02:20:51 | Speaker 5:

always cool i mean she's lived here for so long she's probably like adjusted now but she's she's

02:20:51 - 02:21:52 | Speaker 2:

so wonderful she really is the sweetest yeah that's nice aloha i i couldn't imagine i couldn't imagine the opposite of that like i couldn't imagine moving to hawaii you couldn't because at least in michigan you can drive to places in hawaii you're stuck you're stuck on an island and the close like the people that that you know i've been to hawaii once and the closest that you you are to anything is probably what california or whatever so you're yeah that's still a three hour flight or something isn't it um it's it's a long ways away um texter here says kevin you're Speaking about me, my husband moved us to Michigan for a job in the auto industry, got fired from his job, then we got divorced. Now I'm having to sit here in Michigan and live. Another one from Ohio, same situation almost. Moved to Ohio, moved to Toledo for their spouse, and then their spouse cheated on them with his high school sweetheart. Oh, my God. That's even worse. Brittany, what's up? Hi.

02:21:52 - 02:22:28 | Speaker 6:

Good morning. So I'm similar to Shannon and Wes. I moved down here because, well, I'm from Michigan originally, and I moved down here because I wanted, like, just a change of pace or whatever, but then I was going to move back within a year, and then I met my husband down here, and I've been down here for 12 years. we've actually I enjoy it now but I hated it at first and like I could not wait to go back home um and now every couple years I get to I'm actually coming home in two weeks and I'm like I just sometimes I still miss it sometimes I wish he would move up there with me but I get it and I stay because he's happy here he's established here yeah but I miss I miss

02:22:28 - 02:22:35 | Speaker 2:

Michigan like I miss home so I get it wow but you're in Florida if you are gonna lie about Of Florida? Yeah.

02:22:35 - 02:22:44 | Speaker 6:

All the time. Where in Florida are you? So we're in Haines City, which is the central part of the state, and we're 45 minutes from Disney. So I go to Disney just to, like, work and, like, walk around.

02:22:45 - 02:22:45 | Speaker 1:

Oh, wow.

02:22:47 - 02:22:49 | Speaker 6:

Listen, guess what?

02:22:49 - 02:22:53 | Speaker 2:

Michigan ain't so pure. I'll take sunshine and blue skies in January.

02:22:54 - 02:22:57 | Speaker 6:

Well, I want to see you guys when I come up there, so I'm excited.

02:22:57 - 02:23:01 | Speaker 2:

Come by and say hi to us. Yeah, please. No, don't come for us. What's up, Madeline? Hi.

02:23:02 - 02:24:02 | Speaker 4:

Hi. Um, not my first time, but a long time, long time. We love that. Welcome back. Um, I love you guys. Thanks. We love you. We love you too. Originally from Berkeley, Michigan. My husband and I live out in Seattle now, so I'm kind of a little biased when it comes to this, but my friend out here in Seattle, she is moving in a few weeks to go with her boyfriend who just moved to chicago and i don't think it's a good idea they've only been together like just barely over a year yeah um and i haven't told i i mean i don't think i should tell her and she's gonna learn but i i know i'm biased too because i moved out to seattle with my boyfriend at the time and we weren't married and we weren't even engaged but we were together for like a little over three years so i know i'm like you know have my own perspective too but

02:24:02 - 02:24:10 | Speaker 2:

that's interesting so you're trying to talk her out even though you had to do the same exact thing that's a tough move that's not not like it's you're moving uh it's not like going to wisconsin

02:24:10 - 02:24:24 | Speaker 4:

you know what i mean yeah seattle's a little further anybody yeah so she's gonna be like super alone doesn't even have a job lined up so wow and the weather's different too you got

02:24:24 - 02:24:33 | Speaker 2:

They always talk about the rainy weather out in Seattle, but I don't know. I'll tell you what, you do it for love, right, Desiree? You do it for love.

02:24:34 - 02:24:34 | Speaker 3:

Exactly.

02:24:35 - 02:24:36 | Speaker 2:

Where did you move from?

02:24:36 - 02:24:55 | Speaker 3:

That's what happened. I moved here from Naperville, Illinois. Okay. So, yeah, so I moved here to be with my now husband, but at the time we had only been dating for about six months. So coming here, not knowing anybody, I have a big family back home, So leaving them was hard, and now we have two kids.

02:24:56 - 02:24:58 | Speaker 2:

And you can't have Giordano's pizza anytime you want to.

02:24:59 - 02:24:59 | Speaker 3:

No.

02:25:00 - 02:25:00 | Speaker 6:

We can't.

02:25:00 - 02:25:01 | Speaker 1:

I know.

02:25:01 - 02:25:05 | Speaker 6:

So it's been rough. We're good, though. We're good people.

02:25:05 - 02:25:07 | Speaker 1:

We love you. We're welcoming you here.

02:25:08 - 02:25:09 | Speaker 6:

Well, thank you.

02:25:09 - 02:25:10 | Speaker 1:

Yeah.

02:25:10 - 02:25:11 | Speaker 6:

I appreciate it.

02:25:11 - 02:25:15 | Speaker 1:

Neighborville's a nice place. That's a beautiful community. My family lives not that far from there.

02:25:15 - 02:25:15 | Speaker 7:

Okay.

02:25:16 - 02:25:30 | Speaker 1:

Yeah, it's great. We'll take the Megabus together. I mentioned the Megabus last week, and somebody goes, have you ever been on the Megabus? I go, are you crazy? There ain't no way. My kids have been, though. My kids have been on it going back to college when they went to Chicago. Alexis, hi.

02:25:31 - 02:25:34 | Speaker 6:

Hi. How are you guys? How are you doing? Good morning.

02:25:34 - 02:25:38 | Speaker 1:

Alexis, by the way, I just read your thing. It says, I'm stuck in Toledo. What happened?

02:25:40 - 02:25:56 | Speaker 6:

Yeah, so I was planning on moving to Texas after I lost my parents and ended up meeting my child's father. And we have like a one-night stand and now I'm stuck here. I love my daughter. I do. I do want to say I love my daughter. She's the best thing ever. But I cannot stay in Toledo.

02:25:56 - 02:26:08 | Speaker 4:

that is a that's a crazy thing to think about like you have zero plans zero relationship and then you get pregnant just yeah because of a one night stand and the entire trajectory

02:26:08 - 02:26:20 | Speaker 6:

of changes of your life do you know the funniest thing it's like it's crazy i was on my way and now i'm stuck and hopefully in the future though i'll be able to leave with her to go to texas

02:26:20 - 02:26:43 | Speaker 1:

the funniest thing is chelsea being an arizona girl moved to michigan and we moved in february and we had to lie to her and tell her that winter was only January, February, and March and it was over with her. So April the 15th, we had one of the biggest snowstorms the year that we moved and she calls me at work and says, it's snowing like crazy outside and we said we lied.

02:26:44 - 02:26:45 | Speaker 2:

That was it. Y'all had Google back then?

02:26:46 - 02:27:22 | Speaker 1:

Well, she kind of at that point realized she was done hook, line, and sinker in the deal. But now, guess what? Now she loves Michigan. That's right. She's in Florida right now. We'll be right back. Don't go anywhere. All right, it is Mojo in the morning. I'm going to stand for a second because my arm is bothering me. I can take this thing off, the sling off, when I am at home. And it's been so nice just to be able to, like, sit there with the sling off. But at work, they want me to have it on because they worry that I talk too much with my arms and my hands.

02:27:22 - 02:27:27 | Speaker 4:

Well, and also, I can't believe how many people will come up to you here. I watch it happen and slap you.

02:27:27 - 02:27:34 | Speaker 3:

It's craziness. Does it feel like, how good does it feel when you get to take it out of the sling?

02:27:34 - 02:27:45 | Speaker 1:

I feel so good. Like, I feel like, honestly, this is no joke, but I feel like you feel when you can take your clothes off and run around your house naked and there's nobody home.

02:27:45 - 02:27:47 | Speaker 4:

Take the bra off. You're taking the bra off.

02:27:47 - 02:27:52 | Speaker 1:

Well, I can't imagine being a big-breasted woman and having to have a bra on, you know?

02:27:53 - 02:27:55 | Speaker 4:

It's annoying for small-breasted women as well.

02:27:55 - 02:28:20 | Speaker 1:

Well, you know how you have that story about how, like, when people get home, they automatically will take their clothes off, like their work clothes off, and they'll run in the house and they'll just, you know, be naked. This is actually a good time for that. That's a good topic. We should ask that question. How soon, when you get home, are your clothes off? Like, are there any people that, on the ride home, take their clothes off? There's no way. Like, if you have a uniform or anything like that? Yeah.

02:28:20 - 02:28:26 | Speaker 2:

I mean, unless you, like, have one of those pull-in garages, I feel like you could get naked, but you can't just be running in the front door.

02:28:26 - 02:28:28 | Speaker 4:

Maybe you're not driving in your car in your underpants.

02:28:28 - 02:29:01 | Speaker 1:

Do you remember when COVID happened? Yeah. Chelsea used to make me take my clothes off in the garage because we were all brainwashed into the fact that if you walked in with your work clothes on, we're going to bring COVID into your house. Nobody knew. We were all crazed. So she would make me get my—I'd have to take off my clothes, and I'd be sitting there in my garage and then the worst was all of a sudden the door would start opening up because somebody would be opening the door on the other side or she'd be pulling in. I'd be like, hey, wait a second, I'm in my underwear.

02:29:02 - 02:29:10 | Speaker 2:

I kind of do that now. For some reason, I think within the past month or two, I don't like sitting or laying on my couch with my pants on.

02:29:10 - 02:29:10 | Speaker 1:

Really?

02:29:10 - 02:29:14 | Speaker 2:

Yeah, so I'd either be in my drawers or I'd go get some shorts. That's how I am.

02:29:15 - 02:29:22 | Speaker 4:

Right away, especially if I'm taking a nap, we'll come in and put on sweatpants. I'll keep my same shirt on but I have to put on

02:29:22 - 02:29:36 | Speaker 1:

844 Mojo Live 844-665-6548 just a random survey how soon do you take your clothes off when you get home from work and are there any people that undress in the car on their way home what's up Ann you there

02:29:36 - 02:29:38 | Speaker 5:

yes I'm here

02:29:38 - 02:29:41 | Speaker 1:

hi Ann how quick is that bra coming off

02:29:41 - 02:30:00 | Speaker 5:

I used to I used to take my bra off in the car when I was in college I was in college full time I was working full-time, so I had that brawn, you know, like maybe felt like 20 hours. So I used to take it off my car, but over the years, I've found...

02:30:00 - 02:30:06 | Speaker 1:

I'm more comfortable bra on. Okay. So I don't do that anymore, and I don't have as long days anymore either.

02:30:07 - 02:30:29 | Speaker 6:

And do you wear a uniform to work? Because I think people who wear uniforms probably the last thing in the world they want is to have that uniform on still. No, I do not wear a uniform. Yeah. Like if I'm somebody that works at McDonald's, you know what I mean, and I'm driving home smelling like a French fry, the last thing in the world I want to do is smell like a freaking French fry, right?

02:30:30 - 02:30:35 | Speaker 1:

But that would mean you'd have to take all your clothes off. Oh, I would. All your clothes would smell like them.

02:30:36 - 02:31:01 | Speaker 6:

I'd bring a pair of sweatpants with me, and I'd change in the bathroom, the McDonald's bathroom. Brianna, what's going on? It's Mojo in the morning. How are you? I'm good. What's happening, Brianna? I'm about to undress right now. I'm feeling like I need to. I want to put on my Viore sweatpants and I want to just sit down in front of the couch, finish watching a little TV. What's up?

02:31:01 - 02:31:10 | Speaker 1:

Viore, let's Google that. No, it's fine. I am actually one of those big-breasted women. There we go. Come on. I took my bra off.

02:31:11 - 02:31:13 | Speaker 6:

Let's go. Vigo Lottie.

02:31:14 - 02:31:28 | Speaker 1:

Yeah. I once took my bra off. Actually, probably more than once while driving home because I absolutely just couldn't take it anymore. Like, you don't know what it's like to have to carry these things around all day long. It's a lot. I can only imagine, right?

02:31:28 - 02:31:32 | Speaker 6:

They look like 36 Ds to me. I mean, yes.

02:31:34 - 02:31:38 | Speaker 1:

We're talking more G here, so. Oh, that's what I'm talking about.

02:31:39 - 02:31:43 | Speaker 5:

Got toddlers on your chest. Got the kindergartners.

02:31:44 - 02:32:02 | Speaker 6:

When you take off your bra, does it make the boing sound? like does it you know how sometimes she got a thud um it actually would probably be more fun if it did that i love it uh well hey shout out to all our big breasted ladies what's up pauline hi

02:32:02 - 02:32:33 | Speaker 4:

hi good morning good morning what's going on nothing we were talking about when you guys brought up that about not taking off your clothes i swear my daughter is six years old and as soon as she walks in the door off come the pants off on the school shirt so she wears a uniform yeah i'm like ireland you need to put clothes on but mom i'm at home nobody's here but me and anne arlene and you and we're all girls

02:32:33 - 02:32:40 | Speaker 6:

that's right let her be let her be happy in her body i love that mom she learned it from somebody I bet it was her aunt.

02:32:43 - 02:32:48 | Speaker 4:

Maybe. I love it. Her aunt's 60 years old, so.

02:32:49 - 02:33:09 | Speaker 6:

Good for her. I got to tell you, I do love when I was a kid, I was like that. I used to walk around as crazy as it sounds, and you saw how I looked as a kid. I was a chubby kid. I used to walk around shirtless around the house all the time, and my mom would say, Mrs. Lozar's coming over. Put your shirt on. Mead. Lozar. What's going on, Mead?

02:33:10 - 02:33:34 | Speaker 2:

what's up Gail

02:34:06 - 02:34:10 | Speaker 3:

good morning everybody happy Monday

02:34:10 - 02:34:14 | Speaker 6:

we're happy about the weather it's going to be good today

02:34:14 - 02:34:35 | Speaker 3:

I'm so glad for it because I work outside for a living I absolutely take my clothes off as soon as I walk in the door and sometimes my boots stay outside because I service portable restrooms for a living sometimes I smell like a big fart I smell like a big fart I mean... Oh, no, my truck smells like a real bad fart. I bet you have no idea. Wow. Probably smart.

02:34:36 - 02:34:39 | Speaker 6:

So you work with duty all day, and you...

02:34:39 - 02:34:43 | Speaker 3:

All day, every day, five days a week, sometimes six. Oh, God bless you.

02:34:43 - 02:34:45 | Speaker 6:

What kind of car do you drive home?

02:34:45 - 02:34:47 | Speaker 3:

I drive a little Ford Focus.

02:34:47 - 02:34:53 | Speaker 6:

Does that little Ford Focus smell like an inside of a port-a-potty from you being in there in these port-a-potties?

02:34:53 - 02:34:58 | Speaker 3:

Yeah, I just had to buy new air fresheners yesterday for my car because it would smell just a little right.

02:34:58 - 02:34:59 | Speaker 6:

Oh, we got to get you.

02:35:00 - 02:35:05 | Speaker 3:

You've got to get qualified for this brand-new car that we're giving away this summer, the summer of cars cashing in.

02:35:05 - 02:35:10 | Speaker 5:

I try to call. I try to call for contests. I can't get into contests, but I can always call the cats.

02:35:10 - 02:35:13 | Speaker 3:

In just a second, we're going to get you out of the duty mobile, okay?

02:35:14 - 02:35:15 | Unknown:

Let's do it.

02:35:15 - 02:35:16 | Speaker 3:

All right. We love you, Gail.

02:35:17 - 02:35:18 | Speaker 5:

Thank you, guys. Love you all.

02:35:18 - 02:35:32 | Speaker 3:

Oh, my God. A buddy of mine used to, he was a plumber, but he used to work in septics. And this is no joke. I'd go to his house, and psychologically, I'd be in his house, and I was smelling.

02:35:32 - 02:35:33 | Speaker 6:

Oh, yeah.

02:35:33 - 02:35:39 | Speaker 3:

Like his duty. And he was a clean guy. But you feel like you're smelling it the whole time. Handsome smells.

02:35:39 - 02:35:40 | Speaker 4:

His duty.

02:35:40 - 02:35:45 | Speaker 3:

Danny, even before she starts her car, she is undressing, aren't you?

02:35:46 - 02:35:49 | Speaker 2:

I am. Good morning, my favorite radio people. Good morning.

02:35:50 - 02:35:51 | Speaker 3:

What's going on?

02:35:51 - 02:36:04 | Speaker 2:

yep as soon as i get in my car before i even start it i take my bra off taking your bra off i don't even know what it equals out to how good it feels but it's just like a decompression of the

02:36:04 - 02:36:24 | Speaker 3:

day it is it's it's something there's something i used to at my fattest i used to get drive home with my pants unbuckled oh for sure kind of like you were on thanksgiving like i would sit there at the table and chelsea be like is your are your pants off and i can know they're unbuckled i would unbuckle them because when i'm driving home man that and the seat belt i felt all constricted in

02:36:24 - 02:36:35 | Speaker 4:

there so what's closer to a woman pulling off the bra you think that or if you wore a tie and you gotta undo the tie but then that first button you know that first collar shirt button

02:36:35 - 02:36:55 | Speaker 3:

do you ever wear jockey underwear like you ever wear like i wear i wear like boxer briefs yeah do you ever wear like the underwears that look like speedos what are they called like tidy like To me, when I used to have to wear those when I was playing sports or jockstrap, taking the jockstrap off is the worst.

02:36:55 - 02:37:03 | Speaker 6:

See, that's what I was going to say. I don't have big boobs. We all know this. So taking off, when I say I get home and I change into sweat pants, the first thing I do is take off

02:37:03 - 02:37:07 | Speaker 3:

my thong. It's gone. It's gone. Lydia, when do you take your bra off?

02:37:07 - 02:37:15 | Speaker 1:

Oh, that boy comes right off right when I walk in the door. And I'll be honest, sometimes I don't even wear one to work. I was going to say, yeah, Lydia, sometimes.

02:37:16 - 02:37:19 | Speaker 4:

Really? I ain't never seen you swing that low.

02:37:19 - 02:37:21 | Speaker 1:

Well, that's because I'm always wearing zip-ups.

02:37:21 - 02:37:24 | Speaker 6:

Oh. I would say more often than not, you're not wearing a bra, right?

02:37:24 - 02:37:33 | Speaker 1:

Oh, you know, Shannon? Well, you tell me. No, you tell me. You never wear a bra. Ever since I had my boob reduction. Yeah. She does not wear a bra, John. I don't need to wear a bra.

02:37:33 - 02:37:34 | Speaker 3:

God, I got to tell you.

02:37:34 - 02:37:35 | Speaker 1:

I love to sit up high.

02:37:35 - 02:37:45 | Speaker 3:

You're making us all blush. We don't want to be blushing like this. Sit up high. Hold on. Jessica has something for you, Lydia, because this might happen to you. Jessica, where do you take your bra off and put it?

02:37:46 - 02:38:06 | Speaker 5:

Right on the kitchen counter. By the bruh? By the bruh? Right when I walk in the door, that's where it is. But I was saying I didn't wear a bra for years before I had a child, and I had a child two years ago and kind of need a bra now.

02:38:07 - 02:38:12 | Speaker 3:

Well, you know what? Take it off. Let's all go braless, all right?

02:38:13 - 02:38:16 | Speaker 5:

I often do. I teach online, so.

02:38:16 - 02:38:20 | Speaker 3:

I love it. Wait, give me that link. I want to see the link.

02:38:20 - 02:38:21 | Speaker 5:

Give me under the desk.

02:38:23 - 02:38:24 | Speaker 3:

Thanks for the call, Jessica.

02:38:25 - 02:38:27 | Speaker 5:

Yeah, thank you. Have a good day.

02:38:27 - 02:38:36 | Speaker 3:

Bye. Oh, that child. Look at that child. I see why. Mommy, you talking about, that child was screaming food. Did you hear her? Food. Nom, nom, nom.

02:38:38 - 02:38:39 | Speaker 6:

I'm so dumb.

02:38:42 - 02:38:44 | Speaker 5:

Mojo in the mornings. It's Dirty on the 30.

02:38:44 - 02:38:47 | Speaker 3:

All right, Shannon with What's Trending in the Dirty on the 30. Shannon, good morning.

02:38:47 - 02:39:43 | Speaker 6:

Taylor, good morning. Taylor Swift was out celebrating over the weekend, celebrating the fact that she now owns all of the masters to her first six albums. So she was with her bestie, Selena Gomez. They were all over Manhattan on Saturday night. I saw Travis Kelsey, your boyfriend, was out doing, like, guy stuff in Kansas City. But a huge breaking dirty after the show on Friday that Taylor got all of her music back. So everything from the Masters to her videos, concert movies, album art, photography, unreleased songs, along with everything else that was a part of that deal. Bought it back for $350 million from Shamrock Holdings. Scooter Braun sold the catalog to Shamrock and then Shamrock resold it back to Taylor. And so I wanted to make a note of this because I know a lot of people were going, OK, are we getting RepTV? Are we ever giving RepTV? She said she hasn't even recorded a quarter. What is RepTV? A re-recorded Reputation Taylor's version.

02:39:44 - 02:39:47 | Speaker 3:

Okay. So we're not going to need that anymore now, right?

02:39:47 - 02:39:51 | Speaker 6:

I mean, technically, no. She said she's going to start releasing some songs from the vault.

02:39:51 - 02:40:05 | Speaker 3:

The only stuff that sounded to me different was when she was performing all the early stuff that was kind of country-ish. and I would hear her singing, and she didn't sound like she was a kid or whatever.

02:40:06 - 02:40:09 | Speaker 1:

Oh, yeah, it's not for early stuff. I mean, you can definitely tell the difference in her voice.

02:40:09 - 02:40:24 | Speaker 3:

The stuff that she re-recorded. I'll be honest with you. I think it's funny how her fans cheer on the excitement of her just getting richer. Like, they love, people love knowing that Taylor Swift is being successful and killing it.

02:40:24 - 02:40:36 | Speaker 1:

I don't think that Swifties are thinking about it that way. It's more like she wanted so badly to own what was rightfully hers that she put literally her life into.

02:40:36 - 02:41:03 | Speaker 3:

Well, she put the narrative into this thing to make herself look like she was a victim of the record industry. When in reality, I think that 99.9% of artists don't own any of their stuff. And it's usually owned by somebody else. And I mean, we don't own our stuff. Like, we don't own, you know, the radio station or the radio company owns all of our stuff here. I mean, because we work for them and they pay us, you know, a check.

02:41:03 - 02:41:14 | Speaker 2:

But question on this part, though, do you think, and Lydia, I know you big Swift out here, so maybe you have insight. When she re-released and re-recorded all of these albums, did it draw the price down?

02:41:15 - 02:41:18 | Speaker 4:

What do you mean by the price of old music?

02:41:18 - 02:41:27 | Speaker 2:

Yes. So, I mean, like her whole catalog, do you think it was always worth three hundred and fifty million dollars or no? At one point in time, was it worth more because she re-recorded it?

02:41:28 - 02:41:37 | Speaker 4:

Well, I think Scooter Braun had bought it from Scott Borchetta from Big Machine Label for five hundred million dollars. So I think it did decrease in value over time. And that's why it was sold.

02:41:38 - 02:41:43 | Speaker 3:

OK, so did Scooter get screwed or did he still make money on the deal?

02:41:43 - 02:41:48 | Speaker 4:

I think he did get a little screwed when she started making Taylor's version. It's interesting.

02:41:49 - 02:42:41 | Speaker 1:

A woman is accusing New Orleans Pelicans forward Zion Williamson of rape. Don't do this. He was going to come to the Pistons. Now he's screwed. Do you want me to skip this story? There's actually two women. She weak, bro. Why do you say that? Listen to her story, though. So she's saying rape, sexual, physical, emotional, and financial abuse during their relationship. And I think they had like a pretty 2018 to 2023 is what I'm hearing. But this woman is going by Jane Doe. She said she started dating Zion during his freshman year at Duke through 2023. The court filings, at least the ones I'm looking at, detail two alleged instances of rape from both in 2020. The lawsuit accuses him of also threatening to kill her and her family multiple times. So she is seeking upwards. I've heard a lot of different numbers, but $50 million for emotional distress. And then another of Zion's exes, Mariah Mills.

02:42:41 - 02:42:42 | Speaker 2:

That's the one I'm talking about.

02:42:42 - 02:43:04 | Speaker 1:

Is she an adult film star? Yes. Yes. Okay. So she is toying around with the idea of filing her own lawsuit as well. They had a fling in 2023 and supposedly there were some threats to leak intimate videos of their relationship after they broke up. I think it was her threatening to release the videos, if I'm not mistaken, but here she is.

02:43:04 - 02:43:25 | Speaker 5:

The amount of embashing, humiliation, slander, and threats that I've been receiving these last three years have been a lot and is causing me a lot of stress. I just hope we all can come to justice. You know who she got as her attorney, though?

02:43:26 - 02:43:34 | Speaker 1:

Tony Busby. You keep hearing his name because he's representing some of the Diddy accusers. He's representing Cleveland Browns quarterback Deshaun Watson.

02:43:34 - 02:43:37 | Speaker 3:

He represents Sean Watson or the accusers?

02:43:37 - 02:43:39 | Speaker 1:

Accusers against Diddy. Sorry, and Deshaun Watson.

02:43:39 - 02:44:04 | Speaker 3:

Okay, so quick question. Does this mean the Pistons will not trade for Zion with all this bad press? Because there's been a lot of rumors that now that Joe Dumars, former Pistons great and Pistons general manager that built that 04 championship team, that he was going to trade Zion to us during the offseason, and that was going to be like the missing piece of the puzzle. Do we not touch him? That'd be interesting.

02:44:04 - 02:44:14 | Speaker 2:

I don't think anybody from the Pistons organization has confirmed that they're looking at a potential trade for Zion. I'll tell you what, though. He would add to the team, wouldn't he, if we had him?

02:44:14 - 02:44:20 | Speaker 3:

If he's healthy, yeah. He's an amazing player when he's healthy. Who would you rather have, him or Kevin Durant?

02:44:20 - 02:44:21 | Speaker 2:

Kevin Durant, easy.

02:44:22 - 02:44:24 | Speaker 3:

Is Kevin Durant, though, past his prime, though?

02:44:25 - 02:44:31 | Speaker 2:

He's still averaging over 20 points a game. I think he's still a weapon. Any team would be lucky to add, KD.

02:44:31 - 02:44:59 | Speaker 1:

And lastly, do you guys want to feel old? Did you remember, was the first movie Meet the Parents, Meet the Fockers? What was the first movie? Meet the Parents. It was Meet the Parents, okay. So Ariana Grande is supposedly going to star in Meet the Parents 4 alongside Ben Stiller and Robert De Niro. The plot of the fourth film is going to revolve around Ben Stiller's son getting engaged. And the girl he gets engaged to is like totally wrong for him. And the fiance is going to be played by Ariana Grande. So like we're already to.

02:45:00 - 02:45:17 | Speaker 2:

that point in the movies where it's their kid that's getting married now. Oh, my God. Do you see what I mean? Yeah. Meet the parents for doing theaters November of 2026. So next Thanksgiving. Hey, for all of today's Dirty Catch-Up on anything you missed, you can listen to the podcast. Search Mojo in the Morning in the free iHeartRadio app.

02:45:17 - 02:46:10 | Speaker 1:

Celebrity Dirt. Directly from the source. It's Mojo in the Morning's Dirty on the 30. Mojo in the Morning. Love that song. Good to have you guys here with us. Summer is officially here. Can't believe it's already June. Isn't that nuts? What a horrible May we had. No, for real. Might have been the worst weather May that I have ever seen, which we've had bad Mays, and we've had, honestly, bad Junes, but I'm hoping that this pattern of, you know, heat is good, but I just feel like we don't get, like, a spring at all. Well, you don't get anything like good, like 70 degrees for weeks upon weeks. No ramp up period. No ramp up at all. But we're going right from, you know, the temperatures that we've had with 50 degrees. I think it was. It's like one of the days.

02:46:10 - 02:46:13 | Speaker 2:

I wore my winter coat yesterday morning, you guys.

02:46:14 - 02:46:30 | Speaker 1:

We were at the grad party out in out at a pool and a woman was wearing a Canada goose jacket. Is that right? One of those winter jackets at the pool. And I'm sitting there thinking to myself, I'm like going, this is May. It's almost June.

02:46:30 - 02:46:40 | Speaker 2:

Well, yesterday was June. Yeah. And we had a lacrosse game at 830 in the morning. And it was very, very cold yesterday morning. It turned nice. But in the morning, it was like 43 degrees when we were outside.

02:46:40 - 02:46:43 | Speaker 1:

Crazy. Is this it? Like, it's summer now. I don't know.

02:46:43 - 02:46:50 | Speaker 2:

No more 60s. We do have a couple days of rain this week, but it's like 70s still. 90 on Wednesday.

02:46:51 - 02:48:04 | Speaker 1:

I just hope that we don't go to the other extreme and then it goes to 100 degrees or whatever the deal is, you know, and like crazy humidity. Turn to Arizona. It's Mojo in the Morning Show. Why is it that people get so caught up in, so what are you doing for your birthday? So what are you doing for your birthday? My birthday is coming up. And I've had, you know, people, not just my wife. My wife has asked me, what do you want to do for your birthday? Honestly, I don't want to do anything for my birthday. I don't want to have any, like, it's not a big birthday. It's nothing big that's going on in my life right now. I don't want a big birthday party. I don't want anything like that. If I wanted it, honestly, I'd probably hint months prior to it or even a year prior, like, hey, next year is a big birthday. I want something big. I don't really want anything at all. And there are people that will say to me that they'll say, you know, are you throwing a party for your birthday or what are you doing for your birthday? Like, I'm a kid and my parents are renting out the back room at Chuck E. Cheese and we're getting together. But people like, at some point in your life, aren't you too old for a birthday or a birthday party?

02:48:04 - 02:48:19 | Speaker 2:

I believe in celebrating birthdays big. Really? And I don't mean like the people that have birthday months. That's a lot. That's too much. But I think you should celebrate your birthday. You get, well, you got another year of living. Like, it's, I just think it's a big thing to celebrate.

02:48:19 - 02:48:38 | Speaker 1:

I, listen, I'm grateful. It's a happy thing to celebrate. I am grateful, grateful that I am alive and that I am breathing. I used to always be that one, that one person that would, that lived life to the point where I'm like, oh, if I died right now, I'd be okay. Cause I'm having a good life. Not me. I, I don't want to die. Like I do not want to die. I want to live.

02:48:38 - 02:48:41 | Speaker 2:

But that's why your birthday, I think, should be celebrated.

02:48:41 - 02:48:59 | Speaker 1:

But honestly, I feel like it's obnoxious when people will just have like a, let's all get together and let's, you know, go out for your birthday. I'm like, you know what? I would rather, like, this is my idea of a birthday. My idea of a birthday is Chelsea and I going out having dinner together.

02:48:59 - 02:49:32 | Speaker 2:

See, that's okay to me. And me not paying for it. But at least you're doing something. You're screwed at that point. Right? Like, Wes doesn't love celebrating his birthday. He cares about Father's Day. That's the day that he, you know, you got to double down for him. My dad turned 70 yesterday, and he was just happy hanging out at home. Like, obviously, I didn't get to see him because it was my stepson's graduation, but we'll celebrate with him. But he doesn't want to do anything. He does not want to celebrate. He is not into that. And there are just people that don't like celebrating their birthdays and others that it's a huge thing.

02:49:32 - 02:50:00 | Speaker 1:

I don't like the idea that if I have a birthday and I say, all right, here's what we're going to do. We're going to go and we're going to have a birthday where I'm going to invite 15 to 20 people. And guess what? I'm paying for 15 to 20 people to come eat and drink for free. I don't think that's cool. I don't want to do that. But I also don't want to charge a cover charge at the door, you know? Yeah, no, that's not cool. That's not cool. I used to be one of those people that never.

02:50:00 - 02:50:29 | Speaker 2:

wanted to do anything for their birthday it was kind of like a just tell me happy birthday we don't gotta go anywhere and i'm definitely not gonna say hey everyone let's do this never that self type of planner now i'm at a point in my life i want all the thrills i want everything absolutely you should i want all the fun all the thrills all the drinks i need it all are you are you okay with that and paying for it uh well like i don't know what we're gonna do next year but this year everybody paid their own way we went to denver and had a good time that was for your

02:50:29 - 02:50:34 | Speaker 5:

birthday i didn't realize that was a birthday trip for you yeah for sure all right then why

02:50:34 - 02:50:41 | Speaker 1:

don't we do this why don't for my birthday we all go to vegas big and you pay for yourself

02:50:41 - 02:50:47 | Speaker 2:

really all right then that's the case you to pay for me to go to vegas no do you know how many

02:50:47 - 02:50:59 | Speaker 1:

times though people will go let's let's do let's go do something for your birth let's go do something crazy and i'll be like what do you want to do for let's all go to chicago i'm like great let's go to chicago and they're like can you book hotels i'm like what are they expecting me to pay for

02:50:59 - 02:51:03 | Speaker 2:

at all? If you want to go to Vegas for your birthday, I'll go. Alright, I would do

02:51:03 - 02:51:10 | Speaker 1:

Vegas for my birthday. Let's do it. Alright. Chelsea, we're going to Vegas. Let's do it. Shannon, you want to go to Vegas with us for our birthday? Absolutely. Let's go.

02:51:11 - 02:51:19 | Speaker 5:

I am down. We're going to Vegas. Anytime anyone's going to Vegas. We're going to Vegas. We got a fly spirit, though. No, no, no. I won't be going. No, no,

02:51:19 - 02:51:23 | Speaker 1:

I know. I'm with Lydia and Shannon on Delta. You and Bianca

02:51:23 - 02:51:25 | Speaker 2:

can be on Spirit. We'll see if you

02:51:25 - 02:51:28 | Speaker 1:

get there. I'll meet y'all there. What's up, Amanda? Hi.

02:51:29 - 02:51:41 | Speaker 4:

Hi, Mojo. Good morning. So I don't buy that you don't want to celebrate your birthday. Someone's talking about how they want the world to stop when they die. I think you can hear when they rent out that bar. Isn't that funny? Yeah.

02:51:42 - 02:52:02 | Speaker 1:

He wants the radio to pause. I do want to have like a, like when, if I die, I want it to be like the Pope. When the Pope died, like I want it to be like a situation where for weeks upon weeks, and then everybody goes into an area when they decide they're going to do something new with the show and they light a fire with the snow.

02:52:02 - 02:52:07 | Speaker 5:

And everybody's flags have to be at half staff or mast, whatever it is.

02:52:07 - 02:52:10 | Speaker 1:

You listen too closely, Amanda. That's so good.

02:52:10 - 02:52:13 | Speaker 4:

I think this should be the year that they rent that bar out for you and invite all your friends.

02:52:13 - 02:52:15 | Speaker 1:

That's it. What is that bar you want to do?

02:52:16 - 02:52:23 | Speaker 2:

It's Irish Tavern and Waterford. You remember that? Did you write it down? I'm locked in. IT. How do you remember that? Because I remember important things.

02:52:23 - 02:52:51 | Speaker 1:

The Irish Tavern, it's like an old little, you know, kind of from the outside bar, but you go on the inside. It's got a little bit of a, you know, you probably could fit 100 people in the place and then you'll all be smelling each other. But my idea was to have like a cheers where everybody is in there and I walk in and they all go, Norm! Mojo! What's up? Carly. Hi, Carly.

02:52:51 - 02:53:42 | Speaker 3:

good morning how are we doing this morning we're doing great what's happening uh so my birthday always falls like either on mother's day or the day before or a couple days before so this year my birthday was on uh the friday and then mother's day was the sunday and my husband not that he doesn't want me to celebrate but it's funny because he's always like oh my god your birthday lasts like literally a year like it's always there's so much going on i'm like another one like not my problem can't help that that's what happened yeah for me to be born and also like i deserve these celebrations that's right two kids they're great but he always gets so like this year i had like a girl's night because they wanted to we did like a fun little night in and then he took me out and then we did stuff for mother's day and i'm like if you're planning things for me you're

02:53:42 - 02:53:56 | Speaker 1:

part of the problem so you can't complain about it here's the thing you deserve to have a birthday but you don't deserve to have, like, you know, a birthday the royal family would have. You know what I mean? Or a birthday the Kardashians would have.

02:53:56 - 02:54:00 | Speaker 3:

No, I don't need that. Good glass of wine and good friends is all I need.

02:54:00 - 02:54:20 | Speaker 1:

Okay. But I also feel like, honestly, whenever I have a birthday and it comes to that, I'm the one that's having to fork the bill for the whole thing. I don't want to do it. No offense, I like my friends, but I'm like, you know what? all that is is another day i don't know do you ever feel that way sometimes with a lot of people

02:54:20 - 02:54:31 | Speaker 5:

like another day with a lot of people that's what that is what's hard about organizing something like that is you then feel obligated to pay because you're the one that is we you know

02:54:31 - 02:54:51 | Speaker 1:

creating a party i come from a different generation than like lydia and bianca and those guys lydia bianca when they go out everybody's like okay everybody uh venmo me you know uh the money for this i can't ask my friends to venmo me money why not because your friends should say hey what was

02:54:51 - 02:54:55 | Speaker 5:

the bill we're gonna venmo you especially for your birthday i just don't think people i don't

02:54:55 - 02:55:00 | Speaker 1:

think that there are people that are friends of mine that are gonna be like if i said to them Okay.

02:55:00 - 02:55:07 | Speaker 4:

okay, guys, we're all going out for my birthday. Here, everybody Venmo me $100. They would all look at me like, what happened to you?

02:55:07 - 02:55:14 | Speaker 1:

But that's also, that's on your friends. And you have crappy friends if they don't pay.

02:55:15 - 02:55:17 | Speaker 5:

They'd be like, ugh. Is everything okay?

02:55:17 - 02:55:20 | Speaker 1:

That is actually so trash that no one would pick up the tab mojo.

02:55:20 - 02:55:20 | Speaker 4:

Huh?

02:55:20 - 02:55:33 | Speaker 1:

You need better friends. That's trash that they won't pick up the tab mojo. Like, if we go out for a girlfriend's birthday, we all, you know, somebody, just to make it easy, pays. We all Venmo that person. We all split the cost or one person just takes the birthday girl.

02:55:33 - 02:55:42 | Speaker 4:

But no, but Lydia, my friends would pay, but I won't let them pay because I just don't want to invite them on a, my birthdays are on a Tuesday, I think this week or Wednesday.

02:55:43 - 02:55:46 | Speaker 1:

No, because I know damn well when it's their birthday, you probably pick up the tab.

02:55:47 - 02:55:58 | Speaker 4:

Well, listen, I don't think I always do it. No, I think their wives usually do like their spouses do. And that's the thing with Chelsea. Chelsea has no problem. She'll pick up the tab, but that's basically us picking up the tab.

02:55:59 - 02:56:04 | Speaker 5:

Look, all y'all came to my birthday dinner last year. Who y'all think paid for it?

02:56:05 - 02:56:06 | Speaker 4:

I think Sherelle paid for it.

02:56:06 - 02:56:06 | Speaker 5:

No, I did.

02:56:07 - 02:56:07 | Speaker 4:

You did?

02:56:07 - 02:56:09 | Speaker 5:

Yeah, I did. You paid for the whole thing yourself?

02:56:09 - 02:56:13 | Speaker 4:

Yeah, I did. Sucker. At the end of the night, I'm like, wait, what?

02:56:13 - 02:56:16 | Speaker 1:

It was a surprise. You had to pay for your own birthday.

02:56:17 - 02:56:18 | Unknown:

Surprise! It was a big-ass surprise.

02:56:19 - 02:56:23 | Speaker 4:

Then why don't you take that same thing that you just did and throw me a birthday party?

02:56:23 - 02:56:24 | Speaker 5:

We going to Vegas.

02:56:24 - 02:56:25 | Speaker 4:

All right.

02:56:26 - 02:56:29 | Speaker 5:

I know you guys are going to go without me. We're going to do it at a...

02:56:29 - 02:56:33 | Speaker 4:

If I fly Spirit, do I get to fly in the big red seat or whatever it is?

02:56:33 - 02:56:35 | Speaker 5:

And you're going to sleep in Sean Streisand's house.

02:56:37 - 02:56:53 | Speaker 4:

I will never go to Vegas and stay at a person's house. If I'm in Vegas, I'd stay in the sleazy prostitute motel before I would stay at somebody that lived in... Yes. What's going on? Al Cortez. Paris, are you there, Paris?

02:56:54 - 02:56:55 | Speaker 2:

Yeah, I'm here. How you doing, Mojo?

02:56:55 - 02:56:56 | Speaker 4:

What's happening?

02:56:57 - 02:57:02 | Speaker 2:

Not much. Well, my birthday is just like yours, you know, but mine's on the first of the month.

02:57:02 - 02:57:02 | Speaker 5:

Okay.

02:57:02 - 02:57:20 | Speaker 2:

So, really, I can't plan a birthday because everything is due. So, since I was a kid, all I got was a cake and underwear or socks and a cake. So, I just go get myself a tattoo and call it a day, you know. Oh, I like that. I go to Wonderland Tattoo, and I've been doing that for, like, last 30 years.

02:57:20 - 02:57:23 | Speaker 4:

What are we going to get for a tattoo this year? What's your tattoo going to be?

02:57:24 - 02:57:29 | Speaker 2:

I got it yesterday. I got some tribal on my shoulder and my chest. Nice. More tribal. Tribal.

02:57:29 - 02:57:35 | Speaker 4:

Tribal. I would not be a tattoo. Like, could you imagine me? I cannot imagine you getting a tattoo at all.

02:57:35 - 02:57:36 | Speaker 5:

You don't have any tattoos?

02:57:36 - 02:57:37 | Speaker 4:

None.

02:57:37 - 02:57:38 | Speaker 5:

You got to get a tattoo, bro.

02:57:38 - 02:57:42 | Speaker 1:

No, he's not a tattoo. There's some people you just look at and you're like, you're not a tattoo person. I can see it, though.

02:57:42 - 02:57:44 | Speaker 5:

You need a tattoo where it's like your whole chest.

02:57:44 - 02:57:46 | Speaker 1:

I can't. Are you kidding me?

02:57:46 - 02:57:49 | Speaker 5:

I think you should just go rogue, bro. Just turn up and go.

02:57:50 - 02:57:52 | Speaker 4:

It'll be covered by a lot of hair. Do you have tattoos? Nah.

02:57:53 - 02:57:55 | Speaker 1:

See, that surprises me.

02:57:55 - 02:58:15 | Speaker 5:

I got tattooed dreams. If I did do a tattoo, I know exactly what I would get. I would get angel wings, but they would be in the shape of the Red Wings logo, and they would go all over my back, on the back of my arms, all the way up until my wrist, so when I flap my wings, it would be red wing angel. I've thought of that since I was like 12. Hey, but don't do that. But that's a little, yeah, nah, I'm good.

02:58:16 - 02:58:17 | Speaker 4:

Marino, what's up?

02:58:18 - 02:58:35 | Speaker 3:

Hey, Mojo. I'm opening the store right now, as that's Calvary in the Zoo, right? Yes. What I was going to tell you is you were talking about saying people paying. You know, actually, when I was Chaldeans, we will fight you to pay the bill. You guys are great. We'll fight you back and send it back to you.

02:58:36 - 02:58:45 | Speaker 4:

My Chaldean friends are the greatest. When I go out with Martin or Mike or any of the guys, they will never let you pay a bill.

02:58:47 - 02:58:57 | Speaker 3:

I swear to God, me and my cousin argued for like five minutes in line one time. Everybody was trying to say, no, take my 20, take my 20, take my 20. And it's like, damn. And the person's looking at it's like, we're crazy.

02:58:57 - 02:59:09 | Speaker 4:

Lydia's like that, too. It bothers me because, listen, I make more money than Lydia. I don't want her paying for my stuff, but Lydia will always make sure that she does that. And it pisses me off. But I think it's a Chaldean thing.

02:59:10 - 02:59:14 | Speaker 3:

You guys are very generous people. I would see a lot of Albanians do it, too. But, yeah, we try.

02:59:15 - 02:59:21 | Speaker 4:

Thank you for the call, buddy. I appreciate it. We'll talk to you later. Rambo is on with us. What's up, Rambo? In a minute.

02:59:21 - 02:59:25 | Speaker 1:

Hi, Rambo. Hey, what up, though? 20th time, long time, man. Yes.

02:59:26 - 02:59:27 | Speaker 4:

What's going on? Where have you been?

02:59:30 - 02:59:31 | Speaker 3:

In Michigan.

02:59:31 - 02:59:36 | Speaker 4:

I know, but we haven't talked to you in forever. You've been just kind of relaxing.

02:59:36 - 02:59:50 | Speaker 3:

You know, just the working, man. You know how it be, man. My birthday tomorrow, too, man. Happy birthday, Rambo. What are you doing? Paying bills and barbecuing and, you know, the usual.

02:59:51 - 03:00:00 | Speaker 4:

Okay. Are we going to throw a party for you, Rambo? You want to go to Vegas with all of us? That would be sweet. Rambo in Vegas would be dangerous. You think so?

03:00:00 - 03:00:09 | Speaker 3:

Oh, my God. First off, I spent time at a rooftop party with you, and I still smell like I'm Rambo right now with all the weed smell.

03:00:12 - 03:00:13 | Speaker 2:

That's a good compliment.

03:00:13 - 03:00:30 | Speaker 3:

Have you ever been on an airplane and you smelled so much like weed that the people next to you requested to move? I've never been on a plane. You've never been on an airplane ever? Oh, my God. Nope. That would be, what was the movie? Something plane, whatever the heck it was.

03:00:30 - 03:00:31 | Speaker 2:

That's my soul plane?

03:00:31 - 03:00:42 | Speaker 3:

Soul plane? No. There's a movie where they all smoked weed on the plane? Probably soul plane. Super dog was flying. Oh, my God. That would be crazy.

03:00:42 - 03:00:44 | Speaker 2:

We got to go to Vegas, Rambo.

03:00:45 - 03:00:45 | Speaker 3:

Come on to Vegas.

03:00:46 - 03:00:50 | Speaker 2:

I call in, and whatever y'all going to pay, just pay it. Let's see that. Exactly.

03:00:51 - 03:00:56 | Speaker 3:

All right. Well, happy birthday. We got to talk to you tomorrow, okay? We got to make sure we call Rambo to wish him a happy birthday tomorrow.

03:00:57 - 03:01:00 | Speaker 2:

That's awesome. I'll talk to you guys tomorrow. Talk to you, buddy.

03:01:01 - 03:01:08 | Speaker 3:

WKQI Detroit. WSNX Muskegon Grand Rapids. WVKS Toledo. This is Mojo in the Morning.

03:01:09 - 03:01:10 | Speaker 2:

Oh, Mojo, he's amazing.

03:01:11 - 03:01:26 | Speaker 3:

Live. Mojo in the Morning. So I saw this viral video that went around over the weekend. I want to know if anybody knows more details on it. Did you see the Birmingham Fair viral video?

03:01:26 - 03:01:29 | Speaker 1:

Oh, my gosh. So many people have sent this to me.

03:01:30 - 03:02:08 | Speaker 3:

So they had this, you know, pop-up fair that they always do. And then on, I think it was Saturday or Sunday, maybe it was Saturday, I saw this video that was going around. And the video was that of what looked like a bunch of, like, girls fighting with each other. And they were fighting out in front of the salon. I go get my hair cut at the sick salon. and it was like girls just beating each other up out in front of this place and I'm watching this video and the guys are just cheering it on like they're all going crazy cheering on the listen

03:02:08 - 03:02:12 | Speaker 1:

I think one girl was missing her shoe I think she was too

03:02:12 - 03:02:24 | Speaker 3:

but it was crazy though because if you see a bunch of girls beating each other up as a guy I feel like you gotta step in and say no no no no You guys shouldn't be doing this to each other.

03:02:25 - 03:02:27 | Speaker 2:

I wonder if we can get more info into what happened.

03:02:27 - 03:02:31 | Speaker 3:

They were beating each other. They're grabbing each other's hair. Up against a car.

03:02:32 - 03:02:36 | Speaker 1:

Look at these. I think you got to be careful.

03:02:36 - 03:03:03 | Speaker 3:

Yeah, no, I'm going to keep it really low. It took a bit for the cops to come, too. Oh, my God. Wouldn't you know in Birmingham, there's one of those Tesla, what the hell is that big truck called? Cyber trucks? Cyber trucks. They're beating up the girl on the side of the Cybertruck. I wonder what happened. I don't know. Parlaying. Why are the guys cheering it on, though?

03:03:03 - 03:03:21 | Speaker 1:

Can I tell you something? Every fair, Berkeley canceled their fair altogether because of this. There was another city, too, that did the same. Orchard Lake St. Mary's. Yeah, they don't have it anymore. They don't have it anymore. And this, it's become such an issue with all the fairs. That there's always fights. It stinks.

03:03:21 - 03:03:26 | Speaker 3:

It's all the, it's, what do you guess? How old are these guys? Are these like 18?

03:03:27 - 03:03:30 | Speaker 1:

High school senior maybe. Are they? High school, like college freshmen.

03:03:31 - 03:03:44 | Speaker 3:

They should take the video of this. And the people that are cheering them on should end up getting themselves into trouble just as much as the people that are, you know, pounding on each other's head. That one girl, how is she not hurt?

03:03:44 - 03:03:46 | Speaker 1:

I know. Well, maybe she was.

03:03:46 - 03:03:48 | Speaker 2:

She has. That adrenaline will keep you going.

03:03:49 - 03:03:59 | Speaker 3:

Have you ever been in the middle of this thing? Because if something like this happened, I wouldn't pull my phone out and video. I'd be afraid the guns were coming out next. Wouldn't you be afraid of something like that? I'd be running.

03:04:00 - 03:04:10 | Speaker 2:

I feel like when I was younger, it used to be like, stuff would happen like that. I don't really think it was a thing to pull out your cell phone. Like, that's around the time Worldstar just started coming out.

03:04:11 - 03:04:11 | Speaker 3:

Yeah.

03:04:11 - 03:04:15 | Speaker 2:

So I used to hear, like, Worldstar, you know what I mean? I used to hear that a lot of people used to have their phones on.

03:04:15 - 03:04:25 | Speaker 3:

But wouldn't you love to know if the fight was over something stupid, like somebody took like the last elephant ear?

03:04:26 - 03:04:31 | Speaker 2:

I always think it's relationship drama. Me too. When it gets to girls fighting, it's got to be over a dude.

03:04:31 - 03:04:32 | Speaker 3:

They're fighting over a guy?

03:04:32 - 03:04:38 | Speaker 2:

That's always my assumption. I hate that that's where my mind goes, but it just feels like the low-hanging fruit.

03:04:38 - 03:04:42 | Speaker 3:

Would you want to be that guy? Like, would that make you feel good if you were that guy?

03:04:42 - 03:04:44 | Speaker 2:

Both of them would look weak to me. Like, why are y'all fighting?

03:04:45 - 03:04:50 | Speaker 3:

I got to know what this fight was about, though. You think anybody will call us up and tell us?

03:04:50 - 03:04:51 | Speaker 1:

We'll voice disguise you.

03:04:52 - 03:04:55 | Speaker 3:

Yeah, 844-MOJO-LIVE, 844-665-6548.

03:04:55 - 03:05:00 | Speaker 1:

That video got shared everywhere. It was everywhere. I agree.

03:05:00 - 03:05:10 | Speaker 3:

I agree with what Shannon said, though. All these fairs, these towns are going to do away with all these fairs. Or they're only going to be during the day. And at night, they're not going to be there. But nighttime is the best time to have these things.

03:05:10 - 03:05:19 | Speaker 5:

Yeah, they're such good memories. Like, I loved going, you know, to, like, the Cabrini Fair. But where's the police presence then?

03:05:19 - 03:05:40 | Speaker 3:

Well, the cops look like they ran afterward. The cops are probably walking the streets. They just aren't right there in front of the thing. for they they look like they came but i don't know when that i don't know when the video started but it looked like they got there at a certain point then the problem though is these cops jump into it and the cops are being told that they're too rough on these yeah but i mean at the same

03:05:40 - 03:05:55 | Speaker 4:

time the police presence is supposed to be a deterrent like if you if you see police there i mean the natural reaction is okay maybe i shouldn't do something because then i'm going to get in trouble but if you don't see police officers anything you just good they can just

03:05:55 - 03:06:04 | Speaker 3:

go and do it. Knowing that community and how many cops that there are in that community, listen, I can't even go in that community without getting a parking ticket for being

03:06:04 - 03:06:08 | Speaker 5:

there too long. But that video went on for a really long time before anybody came over. I guess it was.

03:06:09 - 03:06:22 | Speaker 3:

Alright, let's see the start. Oh my god, look at this. How many times have you watched it? I watched it so many times. I want to know who the girl is in the red pants. The girl in the red pants, the red sweatpants, she looked like she was humping the girl for a second.

03:06:22 - 03:06:25 | Speaker 4:

Look at her. Is she throwing hands? Look at her.

03:06:25 - 03:06:29 | Speaker 5:

I think that's what she was doing, was humping her head. Was she humping her head? I think she was trying to hump her head.

03:06:29 - 03:06:32 | Speaker 3:

Was she humping her head, or was she keeping her down on the ground just to keep her from protecting?

03:06:33 - 03:06:36 | Speaker 5:

I mean, her action makes it look like she's humping her head.

03:06:36 - 03:06:39 | Speaker 4:

I don't like watching fight videos no more. I'll be turning ass to her.

03:06:40 - 03:06:40 | Speaker 3:

You don't like it?

03:06:40 - 03:06:47 | Speaker 4:

I used to watch fight videos a lot when I was younger. Like bumfights.com? They used to have me in a choco.

03:06:48 - 03:06:51 | Speaker 3:

The girls are unbelievable. Look at this girl. Look at this girl. Seriously.

03:06:52 - 03:06:53 | Speaker 4:

I know.

03:06:53 - 03:07:25 | Speaker 3:

No, no. Look. Look at her pulling the hair. And that one girl's mouth is open. It's like, oh, like she's got, oh, and then she's swinging. And this girl's keeping her pants on. How was her pants? Look at that. She's like, thank God her pants didn't get taken off. Holy crap. She's watching it in slow motion, by the way. And there's one kid, there's one kid, and I don't know if this one kid, this kid right in the beginning, this kid in the beginning looks like he's, looks like he's, I don't know, he's got one of those, what do they call that haircut that all these high school kids have? Broccoli. He's got like this horrible broccoli haircut.

03:07:25 - 03:07:31 | Speaker 5:

Ice cream scoop. Yeah. It looks like just an ice cream scoop with like lots of fringe right here. It's terrible.

03:07:31 - 03:07:38 | Speaker 3:

Listen, if my buddies all have the same haircut as me, I'm going to get a haircut. Like I am going to get a different haircut. Why do these high school kids all have the same haircut?

03:07:39 - 03:07:40 | Speaker 5:

They're all ugly.

03:07:40 - 03:07:47 | Speaker 3:

And this one kid just, if that was my son and I saw him egging two girls to beat the crap out of each other, I'd beat his ass.

03:07:49 - 03:07:51 | Speaker 4:

Oh my God. This is the world we live in, bro.

03:07:51 - 03:07:53 | Speaker 3:

This is craziness.

03:07:54 - 03:07:56 | Speaker 4:

Okay, a lot of phones out.

03:07:56 - 03:08:05 | Speaker 3:

That's where I park my car, too, when I go to Katrina for a haircut. Like right in that spot. Hold on, Misfit Victor may know who these people are. Victor, is that right?

03:08:06 - 03:08:18 | Speaker 2:

No, I don't know who these people are, but I was going to... Good morning, everybody. Good morning. My kids were at the State Fair last year when people started shooting at each other. Jeez. I remember that.

03:08:18 - 03:08:20 | Speaker 5:

We talked to you about that.

03:08:20 - 03:08:37 | Speaker 2:

Yeah, that was fun when they, I mean, I had no idea what was going on. And, yeah, I remember looking at my son's location, and he was, like, a mile away from the state fair. I'm like, where the hell is he going? And then he came home, and he told me that, like, they just booked it and ran, like.

03:08:37 - 03:08:40 | Speaker 3:

Will you let your kids go to any of these fairs at all anymore?

03:08:42 - 03:08:52 | Speaker 2:

Like, yeah, leave at 4. Like, go at 10 in the morning and leave at 4. But nothing good happens at any of these get-togethers when you've got people, like, staying late.

03:08:52 - 03:08:57 | Speaker 3:

They used to have mega 80s at the St. Mary's Fair at night. That was always the best time of the fair.

03:08:58 - 03:09:22 | Speaker 2:

You know, you miss the casino tents and all that stuff, but nothing's going to change until, like, if they arrest these people and throw them in jail, I don't care who they are. If you throw them in jail for two years or a year, this stuff's going to stop. But when they just get a slap on a wrist and that's it, it's going to keep going on. But you throw them in jail for a couple of years, nonsense is going to stop. And that's what they need to start doing is stricter penalties and tougher punishment.

03:09:22 - 03:09:25 | Speaker 3:

Ronnie, what did you want to say, Ronnie?

03:09:26 - 03:09:50 | Speaker 1:

Hey, guys, what's going on? I agree. I don't remember who said it, but I think that all the people that you can see filming or standing around cheering, laughing, I think that they should get, you know, legal action against them, too. My parents actually live just several streets from there. so i would see that i was like oh wow okay this is getting rough wow that's crazy your parents

03:09:50 - 03:09:54 | Speaker 3:

i mean your your poor parents could be out walking around they don't go out at night

03:09:54 - 03:10:00 | Speaker 1:

though do they like that or no no they actually do all the time yeah that's why they like living down there because they can just you know

03:10:00 - 03:10:04 | Speaker 6:

know tool around all over get something to eat hold on a second ronnie what did your dad look

03:10:04 - 03:10:13 | Speaker 5:

like i see this older guy kind of you recognize this man what would you do what would you do ronnie if you watch the video and you're going that's my dad

03:10:13 - 03:10:33 | Speaker 1:

calling on the radio what was that victor mojo yeah if here's the thing if you're watching women fight and you try to break in or step in and break them up you run the risk of one of their boyfriends or husbands or friends popping you in the back of the head.

03:10:33 - 03:10:34 | Speaker 4:

It's not a good situation.

03:10:35 - 03:10:49 | Speaker 1:

Yeah, so it's... You know what you do is, like... I see women fighting, like, on these videos in Walmart and stuff like that. That's when you run to the, like, cooking oil aisle or something like that and just pour it over the top of them.

03:10:49 - 03:10:50 | Speaker 5:

Oh, my. You know what?

03:10:51 - 03:11:01 | Speaker 1:

Could you imagine it? No, because they can't get a grip of each other. Just anything. But, you know, people don't want to get involved because you don't know who's standing there oh yeah that's

03:11:01 - 03:11:07 | Speaker 5:

why i'm telling you if i was there if i was ronnie's dad i'd be running out of it i'd be

03:11:07 - 03:11:17 | Speaker 1:

getting the hell out if you're the police and you get a phone call that there's women fighting you know what i'm gonna walk over there i'm gonna take my i'm gonna walk like a stroke victim i'm

03:11:17 - 03:11:31 | Speaker 5:

not running over no you're not no what did you just say no you don't want to do that somebody hurts themselves you just look like what uh i don't even want to repeat it um uh hold on a

03:11:31 - 03:12:20 | Speaker 4:

second here uh what's up jessica what's going on jessica hi hi uh my son i i actually received a ticket because he was a minor and i got a ticket for him filming a fight oh really like something like this like an event like this yeah well it was at school but they were fighting and you know, the school cops and I got a ticket and I'm like, I taught my son better than this. So I made him go to the court and he had to, luckily the cop didn't show up. So the ticket got thrown out. How much was that? Would it have been for? Uh, I, it was, it was for like, it had to do with like the whole fighting and situation and I'm not sure how much the ticket was for, but I know I taught my kid better than that and I wasn't going to be responsible for him doing something stupid, but yeah, you can get in trouble for just filming, filming a fight.

03:12:20 - 03:12:24 | Speaker 5:

What's the charge? Like, what do they label it as? Disorderly conduct maybe?

03:12:24 - 03:12:27 | Speaker 4:

Yeah, it was something similar to that, like disorderly conduct.

03:12:27 - 03:12:36 | Speaker 5:

Wow. You know what? That's good, though. If you're not doing anything to be, you're one of the reasons why they're doing it because they get up on social media.

03:12:36 - 03:12:43 | Speaker 3:

Well, if that's the case, everybody that slows down and looks at accidents, the gawkers, they should get a ticket in, too.

03:12:43 - 03:12:55 | Speaker 5:

Agree. Let's vote on that in our next election. Yeah, I'm with it. Those people are the ones slowing us down. I'm with it. What did he say? Like a stroke? Oh, my God.

03:12:55 - 03:12:57 | Speaker 2:

I couldn't believe that. Why aren't you getting a call back?

03:12:58 - 03:12:59 | Unknown:

Why didn't she call me back?

03:12:59 - 03:13:02 | Speaker 2:

We'll find out next with Mojo in the Morning's second date update.

03:13:02 - 03:13:04 | Unknown:

She was going to have my babies.

03:13:05 - 03:13:20 | Speaker 2:

Add Mojo in the Morning to your presets on our free iHeartRadio app. And never miss War of the Roses. The second date update. Am I the a-hole? Or the throwback throwdown? It's the second date update on Mojo in the Morning.

03:13:20 - 03:13:32 | Speaker 5:

All right. Mojo in the Morning Show. Second date update. Trying to make you get another date here. We're trying to see if we can get you a second date. Annika is on with us right now. Hi, how are you, Annika?

03:13:34 - 03:13:35 | Speaker 6:

Hi, I'm okay. How are you?

03:13:36 - 03:13:42 | Speaker 5:

Good. I can't believe that he wouldn't call you back. You said that the date was great. You guys went out to eat and everything was good.

03:13:43 - 03:14:07 | Speaker 6:

Yeah, well, we met at a spin class, which was kind of fun. So he came up to me after the class. He asked me out. And then we went to dinner. Everything was great. We went to this, like, really fancy steakhouse. And I never go to places like that. So I was having fun. And then he drove me home after. We did kiss, but nothing more happened. And then he never called me back.

03:14:07 - 03:14:09 | Speaker 5:

Was it a good kiss or was it just a kiss goodbye?

03:14:11 - 03:14:12 | Speaker 6:

It was cordial.

03:14:12 - 03:14:13 | Speaker 5:

Okay.

03:14:13 - 03:14:14 | Speaker 6:

It was very cordial.

03:14:14 - 03:14:23 | Speaker 5:

You wanted more and it didn't happen. But that's okay. That's where the second date comes into play, or you thought. but Harrison is not calling you back. Harrison, will you say hello to Annika?

03:14:26 - 03:14:28 | Speaker 6:

Hello. Hi.

03:14:30 - 03:14:31 | Speaker 5:

What's going on?

03:14:33 - 03:14:34 | Speaker 6:

Nice to hear your voice.

03:14:34 - 03:14:42 | Speaker 5:

Who approached who at the spin class? Who was the person that said, hey, I want to give you my number, or here's my number?

03:14:43 - 03:14:44 | Speaker 6:

It was him.

03:14:44 - 03:14:53 | Speaker 5:

So you actually were there, you initiated this relationship, Harrison, and now you're not initiating a second. What's going on?

03:14:53 - 03:14:59 | Speaker 6:

Yeah, yeah. Well, so we had a great dinner.

03:15:00 - 03:15:09 | Speaker 5:

You know, honestly, the vibe is great. However, after dinner, she was stealing the salt and pepper shakers.

03:15:11 - 03:15:13 | Speaker 7:

Are you joking or is that serious?

03:15:14 - 03:15:34 | Speaker 5:

No, no, no, no. And I'm definitely not joking. So I sort of like, I didn't dare her to do it. I'm like, oh, look, these are nice salt and pepper shakers. I bet you won't steal them, like in a joking way. And she ended up doing it. She even tried to take home the glasses they poured our drinks in, too. She's a daredevil. She's a klepto.

03:15:36 - 03:15:51 | Speaker 7:

She's a thief. So hold on for a second. She steals the salt and pepper shakers. She hasn't tried to steal the glasses. But you say that you guys were kind of kidding around. Were you?

03:15:51 - 03:16:08 | Speaker 5:

Yeah, I was, like, joking about it. Like, oh, these are really nice salt and pepper shakers. Like, oh, how funny would it be if we walked out with them, you know, just like kidding and like in a joking manner and then she throws them in her purse i mean you put it out there yeah but you don't do that it's a fancy restaurant you know what i'm saying

03:16:08 - 03:16:25 | Speaker 6:

what was but we were we were looking at the salt and pepper shakers at the table and we were both like oh my god this place is so nice this cookware is so nice like what if what if we just took it They probably have so many. He literally said, I dare you to take it. So I did.

03:16:26 - 03:16:30 | Speaker 7:

So it was his idea to do it then.

03:16:31 - 03:16:32 | Speaker 6:

He dared me to.

03:16:34 - 03:16:41 | Speaker 7:

You dared her to. You were the accomplice on this crime, Harrison. Now you're throwing her under the bus.

03:16:42 - 03:16:59 | Speaker 5:

I wasn't serious. I wasn't trying. It was just a jokingly manner, in jest. And then she looks around like she's a thief, literally. puts them in her purse, and then she tried taking the glasses to pour the drinks, and I go, what are you doing? No. I was embarrassed.

03:16:59 - 03:17:04 | Speaker 7:

So you didn't find it kind of funny that she was doing this stuff, or you thought you were embarrassed by the deal?

03:17:05 - 03:17:07 | Speaker 5:

I was definitely embarrassed by it. I did not find it funny at all. No.

03:17:08 - 03:17:33 | Speaker 7:

All right. I want to pose this to our listeners. Do we think that what she did was wrong? I mean, obviously, you can probably think so. Yeah, she shouldn't be stealing from it. But don't you think, though, that he had something to do with this if he's telling her to do this? Was this your first time ever being a thief, Annika? I can't say it was, no. So you've done this before.

03:17:34 - 03:17:39 | Speaker 1:

Is it a pattern or you've just done it here and there? No, it's not a pattern.

03:17:39 - 03:17:41 | Speaker 6:

I've done it like a normal amount.

03:17:42 - 03:17:47 | Speaker 7:

A normal amount. Maybe normal citizen. Normal amount. It turns into a pattern. What's up, Jillian? How you doing?

03:17:47 - 03:17:57 | Speaker 4:

hi um i just want to know can a girl have hobbies like leave her be no stealing cannot be a hobby

03:17:57 - 03:18:04 | Speaker 7:

have you have you done this before as a hobby shakers i mean me personally no but let her be

03:18:04 - 03:18:16 | Speaker 1:

let her let her have some salt and pepper i just think it'd be an entirely different story if he caught her just shoveling items into her purse versus going hey i dare you to do that and She did it.

03:18:17 - 03:18:23 | Speaker 7:

I think there's something kind of hot about it, that she's, like, that adventurous to do stuff like that. What's up, Jessica? Hi.

03:18:24 - 03:18:30 | Speaker 6:

So, listen, you can't dare somebody to do something, and then they do it, and then you say there's a bad guy.

03:18:31 - 03:18:31 | Speaker 7:

Correct.

03:18:31 - 03:18:39 | Speaker 4:

That doesn't work. That's like saying, hey, let's screw, and then she does it, and you're like, well, she's a hoe because she did it. Right.

03:18:39 - 03:18:47 | Speaker 7:

That doesn't work that way. By the way, isn't it? It's called slut shaming. This is steel shaming right now. Hey, this is the girl you want. Anna, what's up?

03:18:48 - 03:18:56 | Speaker 2:

Okay, so I was dared to, we were in a little dive bar, to steal a payphone off of a wall.

03:18:56 - 03:18:58 | Speaker 4:

Oh, my God.

03:18:58 - 03:19:18 | Speaker 2:

Yeah, like, you know, like, for aesthetic purposes, they have, like, those little payphones, you know? Yeah, yeah. And they were like, shove that under your jacket and walk out. See if you can get out with that. That's the biggest thing on the wall. And I was like, and stuck it under my jacket and made it all the way out. So salt and pepper shakers, that's nothing. Yeah, that's right.

03:19:19 - 03:19:33 | Speaker 7:

Harrison, he couldn't last one night with you. Let's rob a bank next time. Let's go full forage on this whole deal. We're going to wear ski masks on our next date. Christina, what's up? It's Mojo in the Morning.

03:19:34 - 03:19:50 | Speaker 3:

Hey, yeah. So I definitely feel like it sounded like they were being silly and, like, talking about that she was going off of this vibe. And, like, who freaking hasn't done that? My husband and I, like, we have stolen, like, this barbecue sauce is so good. When they have, like, the whole bottle there, taking barbecue sauces, and we laugh about it.

03:19:50 - 03:19:52 | Speaker 7:

Where is this at? Where are you stealing the barbecue sauce at?

03:19:54 - 03:19:56 | Speaker 3:

That was actually in South Carolina, so all the barbecue is there.

03:19:57 - 03:19:59 | Speaker 7:

Oh, good. That is great. When you find a good thing.

03:20:00 - 03:20:10 | Speaker 8:

at a good restaurant and they don't sell it, you're like, I want this thing. I'm taking this with me. I can't tell you how many Outback Steakhouse steak knives I have at my house. Jade, what's up? Hi.

03:20:11 - 03:20:37 | Speaker 6:

Hi. I think that that is so funny, and he definitely should have thought that was funny, especially since he's the one that said something about it. Yeah. I would have thought it was hysterical. It's something that I do. We went up north one time, my girlfriend and I, and we were drinking wine at a wine tasting, and we just stole the wine glasses. We were drunk. We thought it was so funny. We, like, slipped them in our pocket. We probably weren't slipping at all. Wine glasses are tough.

03:20:38 - 03:20:40 | Speaker 8:

How do you steal wine glasses in a purse?

03:20:40 - 03:20:47 | Speaker 6:

Were they the stimulus ones? Yeah, it was the stimulus ones. Oh, Shannon knows this.

03:20:48 - 03:20:59 | Speaker 8:

How many do you have at home? Evelyn says that this is not funny, what she was doing. Evelyn, you may be the only person that doesn't find this funny, or maybe you and Harrison. What's going on?

03:21:00 - 03:21:11 | Speaker 7:

Because it's not funny. It's like, why would you steal the salt and pepper shakers on the first date? That's why he's going to look at you like that, okay? Even if it was a joke and he dared you, but still, you're a grown woman. Calm down.

03:21:13 - 03:21:16 | Speaker 8:

But she's just having fun, and he's the one that told her to do it.

03:21:16 - 03:21:26 | Speaker 7:

Why dare her, then? All the other callers said, me and my friends, me and my friends, you just met this man. I'm not going to think it's funny. I'm going to look at you sideways.

03:21:26 - 03:21:32 | Speaker 8:

But he told, he dared her to do it. He told her to do it, and now all of a sudden he doesn't find the fun.

03:21:32 - 03:21:38 | Speaker 7:

If I dare you to take your bra off and wave your booze at the waiter, you're going to do that too? She might. She's the ground woman.

03:21:39 - 03:22:00 | Speaker 8:

That's my kind of girl right there. I don't know. I think that you can't all of a sudden say, hey, let's all do this stuff, and then she starts doing it, and you're having fun after a night of drinks, and now all of a sudden you're like, I'm going to judge her for this whole deal. I think that's crazy. I love the things that people are stealing. Jenna, what did you guys steal?

03:22:01 - 03:22:04 | Speaker 5:

I stole a coffee mug from a restaurant.

03:22:05 - 03:22:06 | Speaker 8:

Which restaurant was this?

03:22:08 - 03:22:14 | Speaker 5:

I don't even remember. It's up in Mount Pleasant. I can't say no. I don't want them to hear me. No, no, no.

03:22:14 - 03:22:24 | Speaker 4:
