Good morning and welcome to the Mojo in the Morning Show. Good to have you guys here with us. It's going to be another nice day. Temperature is going to be unseasonably warm, but we will take those better than unseasonably cold like we've had. So far, I like this June. So far, I'm okay with it. I thought May sucked. I thought the May was a tough one, but this is going to be good. Day one of my May, or my June, was good yesterday. I did my first day of my physical therapy, which was, which, well, you know what? I actually kind of like it. I'm one of those people that enjoys going to doctors and physical therapists and things like that. Interesting. So I have, because I don't know what this, uh, the story is with me, but I think I'm one of those people that, what is it called when somebody thinks that they're always sick or dying or am I a hypochondriac? I feel like maybe that might be, but I was sitting there judging myself based around the people that are around me. Like I saw a guy there with a broken leg, somebody that looked like they had like an arm issue going on. And then I was there with my shoulder and I was sitting there comparing myself to every person that was there. And you go, well, I guess I don't have it as bad as him, but I definitely got it better than this guy right here. What do you do for your physical therapy? Well, they kind of walked me through. Amy is her name at, what the hell is the place called? Team Rehab. Team Rehab. I was like, Shannon used to do commercials for them.

And my sister works there.

I'm going. I went there because Shannon was the endorser. So I want them to know they should continue Shannon endorsements because I team rehabbed because of Shannon. Love you. I dropped your name. It didn't really give me anything.

Well, that's not the location that she's a PT at.

Oh, but did you do it just for her location or did you do it for the whole place?

No, no, no, no. I did it for the whole place. I thought you dropped my name to see if my sister was working there.

I dropped your name. I said, I heard it on the radio. Like, you know how they always ask you when they'll say, how did you hear it? I always say I heard it on the radio, even if I didn't hear it on the radio. I'm a pro radio guy. So if you go to places, tell them you heard it on the radio. So I went there. Amy was her name. She was great. She started off by just kind of talking to me. I hate having to tell the story of why I hurt myself or how I hurt myself because it's embarrassing. I look like an alcoholic drunk. You know what I mean? And so I was getting ready to tell her and I realized I think she already knew. I think she was a listener. I think she kind of figured it out. And then we knew each other through a friend. My buddy Scott went to her as a physical therapist when he had shoulder surgery. So I used his referral, too. Okay. So long story short, I got a little massage, which was nice. Okay. And then I got to stretch out. My arm didn't fall off. My shoulder is okay. And I feel okay. And I can take the...

sling off more now. I'll probably take it off a little bit during the show today, but I got to be careful still about going like this with my arm. I can't do this. If I do this with my arm, I'm going to screw myself. So I can't do, hey, it's this big. Like I can't do Shannon's.

So if I do that, I'm messed up. Yeah.

So do you feel better now or does it feel sore after physical therapy?

It felt a little sore because I hadn't been doing it. The funny thing was she said to me, she goes, she goes and tell me uh you know what other exercises have you been doing uh and i go i haven't and she's like um just because you hurt your shoulder doesn't mean that your legs aren't working so she's basically she basically uh telling me you need to uh to do a little bit more than just what you're uh what you're doing right now so a little um all right uh Lydia, quick question for you. Did we roll the tape like we have to do for, I know we don't have our audio guy here today, right? Or what's the story? Because Zach is out?

Well, our audio guy, I guess, is a no call, no show. I'm assuming that he overslept, but his phone is off. Okay.

So is somebody rolling the tape in the other room so that we can start recording? Or do we have to do anything like that?

Well, Bianca's trying to do that in the podcast studio. Okay. Roll the tape.

Should I just play a bunch of music right now since we're probably not getting any credit for what we're talking about at this moment? Yeah, I'm telling you, the world falls apart. Zach, hold out. If I'm Zach, what I do is I hold out during the next negotiations that he has.

And I hold out because he is very valuable. Zach's been out the last couple of days. He's moving into an apartment. His first, he talked about it on the air, his first, you know, grown-up apartment completely by himself. He's got nobody else with him. He's not here today, and the world fell apart yesterday. I did something yesterday that was like the worst thing that you could possibly do ever, and in all the years I've been doing this thing, and I've been doing this a long time, I completely deleted every bit of audio from yesterday's show. So thank God we've got, like, satellites up in the sky that do things, but I honestly have not done that in I don't know how long. Like, I don't remember the last time that I've actually done the whole delete thing.

Is it not a delete button? You mean like an undo delete? No, I mean, like, how do you delete it?

Well, because it said, would you like to delete this? And I said, yes.

That's how I delete it. I don't think it takes rocket science to know that you're not supposed to say yes to that.

Well, but I didn't think it was. I thought it was just deleting the one little thing that I was trying to delete. And it was something that I didn't need to save. And so I didn't realize it was going to delete the whole thing. So yesterday I'm going through, actually Bianca was helping me. Thank you, Bianca. She was going through trash folders to find all the trash that was there. The funniest thing is I ended up, and don't tell Zach this, but I ended up finding an air check of Zach.

our conveyor belt of people here right because there we used to have a cushion enough staff that there were subs and backup people and it's like you're in the game guy get in check in it's bare bones at this point over here as i'm sure is the case at a lot of jobs and so there aren't really quote-unquote backups when certain people are out Thank you.

And not only is it bare bones, but it's one of those situations where the whole process has changed.

So where people used to be able just to plug and play, you got to relearn a whole new system in order for it to flow right.

Well, this is where we're doing this whole, you know, hiring a new staff member type thing. And we're trying to get a new person in here so that you can be part of the show and you hopefully will be able to be trainable and be able to do stuff like this.

This is a crazy story, even if you've never watched the show or even if you don't even know who he is. King of the Hill actor Jonathan Joss, he played John Redcorn, was shot and killed following an argument with his neighbor on Sunday. Listen to this.

The entertainment world is mourning the loss of actor Jonathan Joss, best known for voicing John Redcorn on the hit animated series King of the Hill.

I thought we said no bouncies. Joss was shot and killed Sunday outside his San Antonio property in what police are calling a dispute with a neighbor. Joss' husband says they returned to check on the site of their burned down home. A fire in January also killed their three dogs. He says they were grieving, standing side by side when the man fired. He claims the two were targeted for being gay, but police say there's no evidence to support that claim. Other neighbors say Joss had been protective of his property. We would see him down the street yelling. Joss, who was of Apache and Comanche descent, built a career portraying Native American characters, starring alongside Sylvester Stallone in Tulsa King.

In Other Dirty this morning, Dolly Parton reportedly snubbed Meghan Markle by turning down an invite to appear on her Netflix series With Love, Meghan. And that did not sit well with Meghan, as you can imagine. It also just getting the invite did not sit well with Dolly's team. They didn't want to risk Dolly's reputation Q score and her popularity by associating with Meghan. Unfortunately, they knew that this was just an ask because Dolly has a lot of credibility in the lifestyle space with her baking mixes and her beauty products and such. And Megan, they felt, was just using her for that. So the team and Dolly felt taken advantage of, said no, and now just want to distance themselves from the whole thing. And lastly, LeBron James has a big issue with the current state of youth sport.

In my guise, we ran track and field as well. We were like super-duper young. You know, we played football all the way, American football all the way through high school. We didn't just cap it at one thing. We just did one thing all year round. And I think a lot of kids burn. They burn it.

Yeah, he's saying let your kids try different sports. Don't put all their eggs in one basket and let them have breaks.

I think that parents that go and do all the special training, do AAU or travel sports, I think that you're basically trying to make your kids something that maybe you weren't. And I think that the problem is your kid's going to be more well-rounded. And if your kid's going to be a great player in whatever the sport is, they will. But let them play a bunch of sports. Let them go play baseball, basketball, football, swim, whatever.

And also, let them just play outside with their friends and not have to go to practices all day every day.

That's great that he's coming out and saying that. Yeah. You don't see that much anymore. Like, I don't think, like, my youngest son, Luke, like, he was always focused baseball, baseball, baseball, and never played anything else. And now he has no interest in baseball ever.

But the other night we were, we had gone to get ice cream and so we were walking back to our car and my stomach started to hurt and I'm like, oh God, I'm not gonna be able to wait until I get home. So I farted on the walk to the car And I thought it was safe To get into the car We got into the car And Lucy's like My god And Wes looked at me With the most horrified look on his face And he said That's it It's over The magic is gone He could not believe He's like for such a little thing That is your smell

Big shout-out to my cousin Amir. He's going to prom today. I'm excited for him. This is the first male cousin that I will be a part of, I guess, sending him off to prom. This is like a huge thing. And I feel like I need to have, quote unquote, the talk with him.

Okay, so how old is he? Is he a senior in high school or 17, 18, something like that?

Let me just, first off, well, big thing was, because my kids don't seem like the type of kids that can get laid um they uh i talked to them about alcohol i said i talked to them about alcohol so i was i was big on that and i told them i said you got your seconds away you can see it from here home plate is right there you're round and third touch home plate before you do something to screw up at school so i'm like don't get yourself caught up in something that makes you get uh you know unable to walk at your graduation um you know and i talked to them about alcohol and stuff like that and then i talked to him about respectful to their dates you know make sure that their dates were uh were good it's funny because i think out of all the kids the one that i was most worried about was uh was luke and yet i think at that point in my life i gave up third kid kind of makes sense it was like that like luke was the one with the most game out of the three and um and joe for some reason was the one i probably should have had the most talk to because i think joe is the one that probably goofed around a little too much see this is good though don't drink yeah the or i guess or drink but drink responsibly be respectful to your date yes what else you say um and that's the most important one to me and if you i mean i lost my virginity on prom night so i didn't go to prom but i lost it on prom night so i so it was a girl that had gone to prom with another guy and then we all met up afterwards and did like the after party and stuff and that was the night that I actually was able to complete the feat and uh and lose my virginity oh you so yes and I didn't have to rent a tuxedo to do it which was the greatest would you so me and my buddies Brian and Brad Yeager we were the losers that didn't go to we didn't go to our prom but it was the it was the we went to a catholic school the all-boy catholic school but the public school uh that was the one that we all had in our neighborhood had their prom and we all hung out with those guys we didn't uh really hang out with a lot of the guys that we went to school with but we drove around went to one of the parties and then that's where we ended up connecting at the after hours yeah yeah did you have a talk or like did

anybody talk to your date at all for prom um doubtful i mean i never got to talk ever about anything. And my junior prom, I went with like my boyfriend who I'd been together with for years and years. So there was no need for talk because everything had already happened. I wasn't a drinker in high school. I went to one party in high school and drank at that party. And it was like the biggest deal in the whole world that I was even there and was drinking. Do you remember what you drank at that party? It was. Yeah. Yeah. And it wasn't prom. But yeah, I was not I was not a drinker. I didn't do drugs or anything. I and then my senior year, I went with like a friend and, yeah, like we didn't need to get the talk.

Do you give kids money before they go to prom? Like, did you give your boys money? Chelsea, I think, well, we paid for a lot of the stuff because, I mean, their prom dinner was paid for and then they had their prom tickets that they had to do, so that was all paid for ahead of time. Yeah. And their stuff. I don't think we gave them money because I think what ended up happening, so they had, nobody, these kids don't want limos anymore for some reason or they didn't, my kids didn't want limos. Like, I had the hookups here, you know, with top-notch party bus limousines and stuff like that. I had the hookups to do limos. They didn't want to do it. They wanted to just drive themselves. And I didn't like that idea, you know. So what we did was we dropped, I think, Joe, we dropped his car off at the after-party house so that the next morning. he could come home but we said to him hey we know you're probably going to be drinking and if you are going to drink you're not getting in that car we will come and get you and pick you up like do not leave the next morning just to come home for sure because we were so worried about i honestly

think that's that's your talk right there is there so i think kids have so many expectations for prom night and then you put them in a situation where all the other all these kids around them have these crazy expectations for prom night and it doesn't have to be that yeah when it comes to you know girls and drinking and after parties and whatever mike what'd you want to say

i i think if you're having the talk and you're 18 years old something's wrong wait it's too late you're saying or what i i mean to each their own like you you do you live your life you know but 18 man by 18 years old you probably already know you should already know I mean, the birds and the bees have been doing a lot of stuff before 18.

Well, like Mojo just said, the whole part about drinking, like that part didn't even cross my mind to have a conversation with him. Like I think when you say those two words, the talk, it always comes to sex, but prom is way bigger than just that one act.

You're right.

I always worry, honestly, like this is one of the big fears that I have. I always worry, though, that you do the talk once or have like that conversation once and a refresher course needs to come into play. Basically, Mike, I think that you need to be able to say you could really screw something up or you can, you know, get yourself caught up into something that you'll never be able to reverse.

Don't let this be the pivot point where your whole life drastically changes.

Like I remember saying this. Go ahead.

In the refresher course, man, some of these kids can teach us some things. I know that's true. There's some new stuff.

But here was the biggest thing with with Joe is I used to say to Joe all the time and I probably should have said it more so to even Jacob and Luke. I think I gave Jacob grace because I think that we we we knew in our gut that Jake was gay and he was going to prom with, you know, you know, one of his friends that was a girl and stuff like that. But also, I probably should have had more conversation with him and just said to him, hey, you know, hey, just be careful, you know, behave yourself and stuff like that. But I think I was more trustworthy of him. But with Joe, I said, hey, you made it this far. You know what I mean? Like, I kept doing that whole thing. Like, you made it. I still do that with him.

Don't F it up.

Yeah. I still have that conversation. What's this kid like?

Still beat teen pregnancy.

Yeah.

He's an amazing. I mean, he's got a full ride, 4.6 GPA. Oh, he, him. Yeah, he's on it, but you still got to have these conversations. You can't be, you can't think just because they're smart and that they seem like they're on the right path that they won't slip up and make a mistake.

At least that's how I think about it. He's still got to have these conversations.

What kind of school does he go to right now? Does he go to a school where, you know.

What school do you go to? I don't know, for real.

Because I think that's one of the other things. Like Luke went to other kids' proms too. Like he went to other schools' proms. And that was the other thing I would say to him is, you're the visiting kid going to the other kids schools proms you have more likelihood there to either you know get yourself into to trouble because or be you know called out for something or because you're a guest at their place or you'll get yourself in a situation where you'd be so bored you want to leave you know because you don't know anybody so i'm like i always worried about that i don't know we should i i should probably call luke and just ask luke like what would you say because he was he's not that far out you want to he probably would say something kev you're so

good at this stuff though i feel like you're such a good person i probably would be like in the

I mean, but when you put people up on a pedestal, you put people up on a pedestal, there's stuff in their closet.

By the way, the latest in the Diddy trial, just to catch you up, because I haven't talked about it in a couple of days. I mean, it's just obviously it's still been happening. But that that woman who has been referred to as Mia, who used to work as one of Diddy's personal assistants, she was very, very close to Cassie at one point in the relationship. Cross-examination of her ended yesterday. She talked a lot about Diddy accusing, sexually assaulting her, excuse me, on multiple occasions. Today, a guy named Eddie Garcia is set to take the witness stand, and he worked security at the L.A. Hotel. I believe it was the Intercontinental, where Diddy was filmed attacking Cassie. So he will bring testimony this morning.

A couple of the big things that I saw yesterday on this was the defense attorneys going after this woman saying, why did you keep on texting him back all these niceties if he was that bad and her trying to explain that? And then this is where a cover up is. They're saying all these hotel people from all the hotels, not just the Intercontinental, But although Diddy was paying off these general managers and these big marketing directors of these hotels to have his parties there so much money that they would turn off security cameras when he had events there so that people couldn't get filmed. And they're saying that there was so much cover up that was going on, or at least that's what these prosecutors trying to allege.

So when I was in high school, I, well, technically it was when I was out of high school, but I played with the same two coaches. We had a wife and a husband. The wife taught varsity, and then the husband taught junior varsity, girls basketball.

What happened was the husband was, like, they would take some of the girls home at the end of the night, and the husband only had, like, one or two girls to take home, and then the mom would take, like, four or five girls home. But the mom was always showing up home before the husband was. And she started to get a little suspicious of this. And if you remember, they had cameras in their house. And so she gets on their living room camera and finds her husband sleeping with a basketball player who was still in high school.

Oh, God. But he was. He was sleeping with a basketball player that was still in high school.

And she was like, what do you mean? And I was like, um, what do you mean? What do I mean?

We went on this Girl Scout tramp, uh, camping trip and she was there and I could tell it was his birthday and it was also on mother's day. And, um, I could tell that when I was talking to him, he was being kind of weird. And it seemed weird to me that I was kind of next to her and he had a suddenly go and she was suddenly on her phone. And when he hung up with me, she started talking. It just seemed so weird to me. And in my gut, I was like, something's not right here and in the end um i i found that he had uh facebook messages with her but i didn't know you could do like these um secret facebook messages where if you go to your messenger you don't even see the messages you have to type in someone's name and it will be like a secret encrypted message and it was chains and chains of them talking about how you know we can't tell her it'll break her heart so this has to be between us i hope that's okay with you and they had been dating and he convinced me because his family he had some family problems so we were trying to work it out anyway um i moved out and he was still trying to win me over and you know tell me i just needed a friend she was there i'm so sorry and then anyway he ended up she ended up being her volleyball coach the next year your daughter my daughter went to of my daughter sorry and um my daughter and her daughter were friends and so my daughter went to this play with her dad and she ended up telling me she came home and she's like I have to tell you and she started sobbing she's like dad told me to never tell you but uh you know this woman was there and we went to dinner with them and he's been talking to her and i'm so sorry my daughter was six at the time it was horrible but i have to tell you my heart goes out to you sweetheart you can't i fell for everything i listened to everything because who would think another parent would do that yeah and who would think that a father would put their kid in that situation right and i told myself everything but listen to your gut your that's it's it's crazy don't listen to him it's crazy to think that the

I used to work at a mall. When I was in college and I went to school in Indianapolis, I used to work at like the nice mall there. It was called Keystone at the Crossing, the fashion mall. And the store that I worked for was right across from Abercrombie. And there was this guy who worked at Abercrombie. His name was Andre. And he loved coming in because we sold candy at the store that I worked at. And so he would come by candy and he'd always be like, oh, you like Abercrombie? I'm like, yeah, I wear the perfume. them with a1 steak sauce what wait yeah oh god god so they were they were and how much a1 steak

sauce can you get in those things well it's a little shot you know it's just a little single shot, and so they had taken, like, three or four of them and replaced them, so once, you know, they kind of, like, very sneakily opened the, you know, the wrapper underneath the lid to make it look like it was still cold, so no one was going through, and, you know, the customer walked out, he's like, this, you know, something's really funny about this, you know, and came back, and my employee was like, you can't mistake it, it smells just like steak sauce.

I was going to say, you know that smell and that taste.

So what are they doing? Are they doing it just to mess with the, I don't get it. I don't get it. Why would you still?

So I stole like Lecrae pot, um, like an $80 fork. Um, I was still in all types of things. They had chocolate, stuff like that. And then down the hall was West Elm. So they always had like towels and stuff. So I would just do whatever the marketing team didn't take. It's unreal.

If you still work there, is there any way that you can get me one of those Mixmaster mixers? It's like $500 mixers.

If you do come to San Francisco and you work there, here's a little trick. Just say you work at Williams and Sonoma, and they give you a $20 discount on all the restaurants around there. Oh, really? But you didn't get that from me.

And when I was working there, she was always comping herself food. like she was she was eating on the job i swear from open to close and eventually she racked up so like 50 to 60 grand in stolen food and not only did she get fired but she went to jail for 90 days

So I've got a big update and you mentioned her name in our pre-show meeting. You're like, oh, I haven't heard about this in a long time. And I'm like, what's in the dirty today? The ongoing legal battle between Blake Lively and her It Ends With Us co-star and director Justin Baldoni, Blake has apparently withdrawn her claims of intentional and negligent infliction of emotional distress. So a big piece of this.

She knows she's going to lose the case?

I think so. So the move comes after Justin Baldoni's legal team requested access to Blake's mental health records because she said, this caused me so much anguish, right? She declined to provide those health records. Her attorneys described the withdrawal as a strategic decision to streamline the case ahead of the trial that's set to kick off next March. Now, despite dropping those specific claims, Blake continues to pursue some of the other allegations that were a part of this lawsuit, like the sexual harassment, the retaliation, both of which Justin Baldoni has denied. In response, he fired that counter lawsuit against Blake, her husband, Ryan Reynolds, their publicist, alleging this extortion and defamation. They tried to ruin her reputation. But still, that is kind of falling apart already.

So I'm wondering if there's something else that's going to come out that they've got in their back pocket. I don't know. If you were a fan of King of the Hill, the actor who voiced one of the main characters on that show, Jonathan Joss, shot and killed following an argument with his neighbor in his own driveway over the weekend.

The entertainment world is mourning the loss of actor Jonathan Joss, best known for voicing John Redcorn on the hit animated series, King of the Hill.

I thought we said no bouncies. Joss was shot and killed Sunday outside his San Antonio property in what police are calling a dispute with a neighbor. Joss' husband says they returned to check on the site of their burned down home. A fire in January also killed their three dogs. He says they were grieving, standing side by side when the man fired. He claims the two were targeted for being gay, but police say there's no evidence to support that claim. Other neighbors say Joss had been protective of his property. We would see him down the street yelling. Joss, who was of Apache and Comanche descent, built a career portraying Native American characters, starring alongside Sylvester Stallone in Tulsa King.

I don't know if this is like a new legal permanent thing or if it's just a stage name or just a nickname for Shiloh, but it marks her second name change over the past couple of years. Three days after she turned 18 last year, she legally dropped Pitt from her last name. She was Shiloh Jolie Pitt. Interesting. Now she's just Shai Jolie. Yeah. So one of my very, very best friends has been quietly, privately battling breast cancer since the beginning of the year. And yesterday, after 14 very tough chemo treatments, six months of so many hospital visits, she probably lost count. I know I did. And 126 hours of cold capping. So she got to keep her hair. She rang the bell yesterday, you guys. Let's go. She rang the bell. And she just got a long road to go. But we are in total awe of her and so proud of her for closing this chapter of her journey and to see her.

ring that bell. And then we all surprised her, all of her friends and our kids surprised her at her house yesterday when she took off her last cold cap. Um, what does that explain what that is? So cold capping is, um, so many times when you go through chemo, you lose your hair. And if you want to try and preserve as much of your hair as possible, which she did, you can have somebody come in and they basically put, it's like a frozen helmet. It looks like almost it has to be changed every 25 minutes and it's kept cold by dry ice so just think about how cold that is strapped it's hard strapped very very tightly to your head for nine hours on the day that

you do chemo um so that was so the uncomfortability of doing chemo and then having that that happening

at the same time um but and i i i accompanied her to one of her chemo treatments and to see what she went through and to look around she was at henry ford downtown which is just an absolutely phenomenal facility by their way by the way but to see what all of these patients go through when they are there and their families and their friends and the doctors and nurses are incredible and um yeah she rang the bell yesterday i mean it was just so emotional for everybody so you said

that she kind of kept things quiet who was she keeping it quiet from like uh uh her kid her

family knew and her family knew yep and obviously like close friends knew but she she just wanted it to be you know she wanted to get through this part of it um but yesterday we all finally said okay it's time to celebrate you gotta celebrate ashley ashley can i can i tell you something

i'm amazed by people like that like i'm really amazed because to me it's like i would you know I stub my toe when I tell the world on this show you know what I mean like the people that are just quietly going through something and you know I'm I'm one that always feels like I need to tell the world everything because of I'm hoping that the world will be there to comfort me yeah and this is pretty awesome she had just her family and friends that were there to do this yeah that's cool awesome congratulations Ashley and that's awesome and prayers to you and uh man as somebody who lost a mom to breast cancer yeah I will say this you are a fighter and keep on fighting so Oh, that's awesome. I say even better than a golfer he is. He's a great human being, but he is a great golfer. And yesterday he had the moment of his life happen to him. He played in a golf tournament in Ohio, and that golf tournament he did so great that it qualified him to be able to play with all the pros like Scotty Scheffler and all those guys in the U.S. Open at Oakland. Is that unbelievable? So he's actually getting kind of his call-up. You're getting called up to the pros, so to speak. Wow. That is crazy.

Does this baby go in? Go ahead in, too. What a roll. He will be playing in the U.S. Open. Hell yeah, that's crazy. I talked to him last night. He was so excited about the fact that this is his moment. You ever see where kids get called up to go to the pros in baseball and stuff like that? This is kind of his thing. And he was driving from Ohio to Indiana to play in another tournament. Even after already accomplishing this, I would have quit. I would have said, forget it. I'm not doing the other tournament, but that's how resilient he is. But he's hoping that Dan Gilbert will see a local kid do good and go to the U.S. Open, and he's hoping that Gilbert and everybody with the Rocket Mortgage Classic will give him an invite to the Rocket because his dream is to play in his hometown, right? We've got to make that happen. Congrats to Grant. If Dan or anybody's listening from Rocket Mortgage Classic, Grant Hafner, you've got to get that guy in that tournament, the Rocket Mortgage. She Venmo requested me $4. I'm like, why did Venmo request me $4? I told her, I'm like, that's a waste of money. Like, why are you Venmo requesting me? I don't think that's expensive enough. Like, you just think she should have just covered the cost of the Uber? Yeah, I think you just covered it. I always pay for her. If we're out getting coffee, I'll buy stuff for her. Okay. Is it like any activity, like sport or whatever, where you do spend a lot of time with some of the other families and other parents?

Honestly, I saw a lot of dads involved. It's way more moms. Yeah. But that's not to say. there were definitely dads that were just as into it um and i know some of the girls that i danced

pictures of the baby so he told your uh kid not to play because he didn't want the interaction

of you and this ex of his or exactly wow we knew each other because they had a like a 10 year old child together already so we knew each other what was the name of the team we were together

like six or seven years ago but i know it was it was it was for garfield park team i just it was

This is pretty wild. We were talking about dance moms and then obviously these other sports. How about a Girl Scout troop leader? Come on, don't do this to me. What's happening, Alicia?

What badge do you get for that? Oh, my gosh, it was awful. Actually, so she was, we had just moved. Well, she had just started a different school and she was in kindergarten. And one of the parents there was the volunteer Girl Scout troop leader. And she was the only other single parent in the classroom. and my fiance and her kind of started a little friendship and he was trying to get me to be friends with her it seems weird we went on this girl scout tramp uh camping trip and she was there and i could tell it was his birthday and it was also on mother's day and um i could tell that when i was talking to him he was being kind of weird and it seemed weird to me that i was kind of next to her and he had to suddenly go and she was suddenly on her phone and when he hung up with me she started talking it just seemed so weird to me and in my gut I was like something's not right here and in the end um I I found that he had uh Facebook messages with her but I didn't know you could do like these um secret Facebook messages where if you go to your messenger you don't even see the messages you have to type in someone's name and it will be like a secret encrypted message and it was chains and chains of them talking about how, you know, we can't tell her, it'll break her heart.

So this has to be between us. I hope that's okay with you. And they had been dating and he convinced me because his family, he had some family problems. So we were trying to work it out. Anyway, I moved out and he was still trying to win me over and, you know, tell me I just needed a friend. She was there. I'm so sorry. And then anyway, he ended up, she ended up being her volleyball coach the next year. Oh, your daughter. And my daughter went to, of my daughter, sorry, and my daughter and her daughter were friends. And so my daughter went to this play with her dad, and she ended up telling me. She came home, and she's like, I have to tell you, and she started sobbing. She's like, Dad told me to never tell you, but, you know, this woman was there, and we went to dinner with them, and he's been talking to her, and I'm so sorry. My daughter was six at the time. It was horrible, but I have to tell you, my heart goes out to you, sweetheart. And you can't, I fell for everything. I listened to everything because who would think another parent would do that? And who would think that a father would put their kid in that situation? And I told myself everything, but listen to your gut. Your gut, don't go back, don't listen to him.

It's crazy to think that the Girl Scout troop leader, then now soccer, what did you say? Volleyball coach? Volleyball coach.

And he totally gasped at me that whole time when he was trying to, in between my daughter telling me and the messages i had found i had moved out and we were trying to sort of work it out and he totally was after he came out and he took me and her to a park and is like you know your mom and i are over she knows like this is the first like he had i can't believe your kid that's unreal and then he was yeah it worked out though we're both very happy and you know life has changed now but honey don't let him say anything in the end all that mattered what was what he was doing so listen to your gut alicia thank you for the call appreciate it

we're still at the same school we're still co-existing oh my god and is he with is he with the troop leader coach she still did volleyball and all these people um yeah it It was her troop leader, and then it was her volleyball coach, and then the same woman became her cheerleading coach.

And you see this woman still to this day? That's unreal.
