00:01:13 - 00:01:41 | Speaker 4:

fart and then I would come back and lay down in bed and the problem was this so Luke's room is right above our room so the way that our house is we have a first floor master bedroom Luke's room is right up top of us and then the other boys rooms are you know down the ways so long story short I started realizing after the third time I got up to go to the bathroom that every time that I fight, I fight, I fart.

00:01:41 - 00:01:42 | Speaker 5:

Your stomach was fighting.

00:01:42 - 00:01:47 | Speaker 4:

Every time that I fart, it reverberates in Luke's room and he can hear the fart.

00:01:48 - 00:02:01 | Speaker 2:

You gotta, don't you, if you're trying to fart quietly, don't you, honest to God, I'm not even trying to be funny, spread your butt cheek so it doesn't make a noise. Never heard that before. It will not, it will make a lot less of a noise, I promise you. That's real?

00:02:01 - 00:02:10 | Speaker 4:

I remember on our show, that was a big deal. I remember back in the day before Cavie even started, I remember that was like a, that was a storyline that we had where if you spread your cheeks i think you brought that to the table

00:02:10 - 00:02:17 | Speaker 2:

even if you're even if you're on the toilet if you if you just pull one cheek away from the other

00:02:17 - 00:02:23 | Speaker 5:

it'll i got a fart right now but i'm not spreading my ass you're supposed to like yeah just go like

00:02:23 - 00:02:37 | Speaker 4:

this you can do it nonchalantly this is real this is one side if you pull one side yes it will it will be less sounding than if you leave it by yourself but if you pull both see i don't do that Wow. You know what I do? I put the toilet paper silencer in there.

00:02:37 - 00:02:38 | Speaker 5:

Oh, you do?

00:02:39 - 00:02:48 | Speaker 4:

So I shove toilet paper up my butt. In your butthole? What is going on right now? And I will do that.

00:02:48 - 00:02:54 | Speaker 2:

Is this a white people thing? You know about this? I don't do that because I do the spread.

00:02:55 - 00:03:52 | Speaker 4:

Hold on. Y'all got some tricks up, y'all. Ask the listeners. I almost said ask the listeners, but I guess that would be the case. podcast that's how we're starting the week oh my god let's ask the listeners um but but the the the thing that i didn't realize was and i thought because the way that uh our bathroom is set up i go in i close the door to the bathroom in our shower and stuff and then i have we have an actual bathroom door like a little cubby door you know and i go in there and i go inside and i got the door closed and i'm like all right chelsea's not going to hear this not realizing that luke is above and luke was up late last night because this was like one o'clock in the morning and all of a sudden i could hear luke and i'm like is he laughing at me or is he laughing at like watching some kind of a show on tv or is he laughing on the phone and then i could hear him go i think my dad just crapped

00:03:52 - 00:04:30 | Speaker 5:

himself listen he's talking i've the only thing that i'm able to do to potentially it's a strong potentially decrease the volume of my gas you know how like when you sneeze you can do like a very loud sneeze or you can like pinch it a little bit like you know like try to hold it yeah that's what i can do with my fart i can try to decrease the volume by pinching it a little bit but once it's out the cannon kaboom wow it just really it just goes especially if you're trying to push it out it just goes that's uh that's interesting so when did y'all understand like who was the first person to spread their cheeks or put toilet paper up their butthole to decrease the salt.

00:04:30 - 00:04:37 | Speaker 2:

I feel like I learned this from listeners who gave us tips. And I've done it ever since, religiously.

00:04:37 - 00:04:59 | Speaker 4:

This was actually, God, maybe 10 years ago on the show that somebody actually told us that. I missed that episode. 844-MOJO-LIVE, 844-665-6548. Text is 95500 if you'd like to participate. We'll clean it all up after we get done with this. I do want to say that we have a big week of shows.

00:05:00 - 00:05:20 | Speaker 2:

A big week, giving away a brand-new car in our summer of cars, cash, and gas. Can't wait. We got a couple War of the Roses that you're going to be talking to your friends about. We got Second Date Update. We've got Five Lies Tell Your Mom. We're going to play Throwback Throwdown twice this week on the show. Let's go! It's going to be amazing. Hi, Heather. What's up? It's Mojo in the morning. Welcome to Fart Talk here.

00:05:21 - 00:05:23 | Speaker 4:

Good morning. What is wrong with just farting?

00:05:24 - 00:05:35 | Speaker 2:

Well, I don't want to fart in front of my wife. Like, that's the thing I just don't want to do. Like, I don't want it to be a thing where I'm waking her up with a fart. You know what I mean? Oh, okay.

00:05:36 - 00:05:37 | Speaker 4:

You newlyweds?

00:05:38 - 00:05:41 | Speaker 2:

No. No, but it's already tough.

00:05:41 - 00:05:42 | Speaker 4:

I'm just teasing.

00:05:42 - 00:06:10 | Speaker 2:

It's already tough enough to have her be, you know, attracted to this big hairy man. But I think that I have to, like, at least keep somewhat of the romance in. One of the worst experiences I told these guys before the show started was when my wife walked in on me while I was wiping my buttocks and having her see me in the bathroom doing that. You don't ever want your spouse seeing you do that. I'd rather have them smell than actually see.

00:06:10 - 00:06:14 | Speaker 4:

Oh, okay. I've been married for 17 years, and, yeah, that's a thing.

00:06:14 - 00:06:20 | Speaker 2:

Yeah. Your spouse, husband, wife has not ever done that before, walked in on you, right?

00:06:21 - 00:06:22 | Speaker 4:

Oh, yeah, he has all the time.

00:06:22 - 00:06:23 | Speaker 2:

Really?

00:06:23 - 00:06:24 | Speaker 4:

And I walk in on him.

00:06:25 - 00:06:28 | Speaker 2:

And do you stay or do you quickly excuse yourself?

00:06:28 - 00:06:36 | Speaker 4:

It's usually a quick in and out. But we understand when we go in there that it could be dangerous. It could be dangerous.

00:06:38 - 00:06:43 | Speaker 2:

This is the product of a great marriage right here, Heather. Thank you for the call. I appreciate you.

00:06:43 - 00:06:44 | Speaker 5:

Have a good day. You too.

00:06:45 - 00:06:54 | Speaker 2:

What's up, Jacob? How you doing? How are you? You know what? Kind of just hanging out. What's been going on with you? Are you welcome to Fart Talk?

00:06:56 - 00:07:05 | Speaker 3:

Yeah, I'm a firm believer that my wife don't make noisy farts because she wears a thong all the time. I think that's just that sound barrier.

00:07:06 - 00:07:10 | Speaker 2:

No, she just split between the two. So it's like a two-shotter.

00:07:11 - 00:07:13 | Speaker 3:

Yeah, it's just a silencer.

00:07:14 - 00:07:31 | Speaker 2:

It's funny because I don't ever hear Chelsea. I don't think I've ever heard her fart. Women have mastered it. Do you fart in front of Wes? Never, unless it's accident, but no, never. Have you ever farted in front of him and it smelled and it was a silent one or no? Blame it on a dog.

00:07:32 - 00:07:36 | Speaker 4:

No, I honestly, no, I don't think so.

00:07:36 - 00:07:38 | Speaker 2:

Yeah, let's keep the romance alive.

00:07:38 - 00:07:39 | Speaker 4:

I'm like super careful about it, yeah.

00:07:39 - 00:07:51 | Speaker 2:

You guys are still in the early stages of a relationship. This is the newlywed stage. You do not want to ruin that. What's going on, Nicole? Nicole wants to talk about Shannon's technique to silence hers. What's up, Nicole?

00:07:51 - 00:07:58 | Speaker 1:

Yeah, you 100% have to spread the cheeks. It is tried and true, and nobody will touch you. Yep.

00:07:58 - 00:08:02 | Speaker 2:

I got a Chaggy BT. And do you do it all the time, or do you only do it?

00:08:03 - 00:08:04 | Speaker 5:

Take it from a personal recommendation.

00:08:05 - 00:08:06 | Speaker 2:

Yeah, he's only a...

00:08:06 - 00:08:08 | Speaker 1:

I'm an influencer here when it comes to farts.

00:08:09 - 00:08:10 | Speaker 2:

Would you do that on your...

00:08:10 - 00:08:12 | Speaker 1:

Whenever you can just pull them apart.

00:08:13 - 00:08:15 | Speaker 2:

Would you ever do that on your Instagram?

00:08:15 - 00:08:16 | Speaker 1:

Depends on the rate.

00:08:17 - 00:08:37 | Speaker 2:

If somebody said to you, you can make money doing it. you're you're sure cheek pulling yeah actually you know what they need they need to come up with a device that you can do like the squatty potty does the cheek spreader the cheek spreader yeah what's up how you doing amanda hi good morning good morning what's going on um so every time

00:08:37 - 00:08:48 | Speaker 5:

i go to the bathroom and i feel a fart coming on i just flush the toilet so that the fart the pushing of the toilet drowns my fart out oh another good technique actually do you think

00:08:48 - 00:09:01 | Speaker 2:

it takes the smell with it too maybe if you got one of those industrial toilets that kind of like literally will pull your sphincter down that that's amazing to know if that would actually

00:09:01 - 00:09:07 | Speaker 5:

pull the smell down with it too you know yeah yeah usually when i'm doing a number two i usually

00:09:07 - 00:09:28 | Speaker 2:

flush as well i always do that i do the flush and then the where i clear my throat hi rachel raquel hi raquel hi how's it going good raquel welcome to the show this is by the way the number one rated show in grand rapids toledo happy monday morning and detroit what's happening

Mojo in the Morning's Dirty on the 30.

00:13:56 - 00:14:00 | Speaker 4:

Shannon's starting us off this morning with the Dirty on the 30. And what's the trending, Shannon?

00:14:00 - 00:14:07 | Speaker 7:

Well, almost a week after it happened, we are all still fascinated with this Coldplay Affair scandal.

00:14:08 - 00:14:09 | Unknown:

Oh, look at these two.

00:14:09 - 00:14:40 | Speaker 1:

It's the kiss cam moment seen around the world either they're having an affair Married CEO Andy Byron and the head of his company's HR department Kristen Cabot caught cuddled up on camera at a Coldplay concert outside Boston the clip now sparking numerous spoofs The mascots for the Philadelphia Phillies seen on the jumbotron poking fun at the moment Some experts say the video struck a nerve with so many because of the parties involved.

00:14:40 - 00:14:54 | Speaker 3:

So why this matters to the average person is a sense of justice. They're wondering, what if I violated these rules? What would happen to me? There wouldn't even be a hesitation. Why was the company even doing an investigation? Can anybody else in the company do what these guys did? No, not at all.

00:14:54 - 00:15:39 | Speaker 1:

On Saturday, Byron resigned from his position at the tech company Astronomer. The company saying our... leaders are expected to set the standard in both conduct and accountability, and recently that standard was not met. But people should not be surprised if they spot themselves on screen at a concert. Most venues have signs warning attendees they could be filmed. Gillette Stadium, scene of that kiss cam moment, also has a privacy policy on their website, stating, when you visit our location, we may capture your image, voice, and or likeness. At a show in Wisconsin this weekend, And Colt plays Chris Martin, playfully warning fans that they could be caught on camera saying, we're going to use our cameras and put some of you on the big screen. So please, if you haven't done your makeup, do your makeup now.

00:15:40 - 00:15:45 | Speaker 4:

So did I hear this wrong? Did she also quit or resign?

00:15:45 - 00:15:56 | Speaker 3:

I didn't see that. I didn't see that either. But now I'm going to do some digging. I know for sure. Obviously, he did. She probably would you think she's next to resign or did you see that she is married to another CEO?

00:15:56 - 00:16:54 | Speaker 4:

Yeah. And I guess that family is like one of the wealthiest families in Massachusetts. I think they're the Cabots. Does this sound like a family that's wealthy? It sounds fancy. It's like a Netflix. Can I say something about this story that I really get bummed out about the internet with? I mean, the whole story, obviously, is interesting that it took off the way it did. I hate the fake stuff that pops up, like that letter that you talked about that he put out on Friday. But then the daughter listening to Coldplay, when you find out that your dad is cheating, he doesn't have a daughter. So, like, the idea that they did that one kind of was stupid. It was all over TikTok. And then the things with the wife, which was they were showing pictures of a woman who they were trying to pose as the wife. And she was, like, this young, really attractive. And then they showed the woman he's cheating with to kind of say, you never cheat at a level, the same level. And it wasn't the wife, which to me is degrading to the wife, who is a beautiful woman.

00:16:54 - 00:16:59 | Speaker 3:

Because I did see a picture of her, and she is beautiful.

00:16:59 - 00:17:50 | Speaker 4:

Yeah, and I will say this, man. I think that this is a very, very sad story. I feel bad for those kids of both families. I definitely feel bad for the wife and the husband that found this out. but I also think that when you see this and you see what the internet does to things it makes you go why like I know that guy said in there it was because the guy was a CEO and it was like real people but why is that that that story this was the thing that caught on and just went so viral and honestly like it makes you realize like there are charities that need like help right now or people that are like their homes just got burned down and fires or flooding down in Texas and those stories are like off the the grid because of this coldplay story i saw like a meme or something that

00:17:50 - 00:19:12 | Speaker 3:

said thank you to the to andy boyton and kristin cabot for bringing the entire world together for the past that's true though there you go it was like one thing that everybody agreed upon was we were all fascinated with that story unfortunately right did donald trump even talk about it like ESPN's Shannon Sarp has settled a 50 million dollar rape and sexual assault lawsuit that was filed against him earlier this year by a woman he was in a relationship with I didn't really understand they were like very on again off again but the attorney for this woman said both sides reached a mutually agreed upon resolution didn't really give any details aside from the number that we knew she was suing for but he said all matters have been addressed the lawsuit is being dismissed with prejudice, which I think means this woman cannot come back at him for anything after this point. And lastly, a pizza delivery driver right here in Warren, Michigan, helped save an elderly woman who was unconscious in her home. Jets delivery driver Amar Ali said he knocked on the door. Nobody answered, which seemed kind of strange because the house had lights on, a dog was barking and somebody had called to order a pizza, looked through the window, saw this woman laying on the floor unconscious. So he called 911. The woman was eventually taken to the hospital for treatment.

00:19:12 - 00:19:16 | Speaker 2:

If it wasn't for him, we don't know what could have happened. He saved her, honestly.

00:19:17 - 00:19:29 | Speaker 3:

And that was the woman's daughter. After he was done with work for Jets, he went back to the woman's house to check on the dog, grabbed several of her belongings to take to her in the hospital where she's currently recovering.

00:19:29 - 00:19:39 | Speaker 4:

And that story will literally only be reported on Shannon's Dirty on the 30. You know what I mean? Like if the guy was at a Coldplay concert and saw her dying right afterwards, it would be unbelievable.

00:19:40 - 00:19:43 | Speaker 3:

Mojo in the morning.

00:20:04 - 00:20:09 | Speaker 1:

The reigning champ in the 5 at 6.55, Jeff, is MIA. I hope he's safe.

00:20:09 - 00:20:09 | Speaker 3:

Right.

00:20:10 - 00:20:36 | Speaker 1:

But we don't have a way to get a hold of him. We've tried and tried. So, Jeff, I hope you're okay. But unfortunately, Jeff, that means we move on. And we get two new players and see who our new champ's going to be based on these contestants. First and foremost, if you would like to play, all you have to do is text IWANNAPLAY to 95500 and we will get you on a future Mojo in the morning, 5 at 6.55.

00:20:37 - 00:20:43 | Speaker 3:

So if Jeff called back randomly or he tapped in tomorrow, is he just, you done, Jeff? We never want to hear from you again? No, no.

00:20:43 - 00:21:03 | Speaker 1:

We'd love to hear from him, but he starts at zero again. He goes right to the beginning. Yeah. It's a forfeit. We have the Battle of Southgate. The Battle of Southgate here. First from Southgate is Kevin from Southgate. I like him. Who works for the Lincoln Park Public Schools. How are you doing there, Kevin?

00:21:05 - 00:21:05 | Unknown:

How are you?

00:21:06 - 00:21:27 | Speaker 1:

Fantastic. Nice to have you on. Thank you very much. Your challenger, also from Southgate, it might even be your neighbor or friend, I don't know, works at General Motors as a parts distributor. Welcome, Doug. Yeah. Doug, do you have a friend named Kevin? That show. No. No. Would you like one? No. No.

00:21:29 - 00:21:30 | Speaker 3:

No friends.

00:21:30 - 00:22:16 | Speaker 1:

I like it. Kevin, he's going to come after you today. Come on, kid. Here's what we're going to do. All right. That'll be okay. Kevin's going first. Doug, you're going second. I'm going to lock you up, Doug, in a soundproof area. There is a tiebreaker question. If there is, for one, it will be a know the show question. It will be a question about the Mojo in the Morning Show. All right. Lock him up. Let's go. Goodbye, Doug. Five pop culture trivia questions. They're all stuff that you should know if you listen to Shannon. Weekday mornings at 6.30, 7.30, 8.30, and 9.30. Here we go. Question number one. Kevin, during this Whiskey Glasses Singers concert on Friday in Arizona, he told fans with side chicks that they were safe at his show. What's his name?

00:22:18 - 00:22:19 | Speaker 2:

Morgan Wallen.

00:22:19 - 00:22:56 | Speaker 1:

Question number two. Speaking of the Coldplay cheating scandal, what's the name of the company that the guy involved, Andy Byron, was the CEO of? Question number three. Over the weekend, Scotty Scheffler completed the third leg of his career Grand Slam. What sport does Scotty play? Golf. Question number four, President Trump is clamoring for sports teams to reconsider their name changes, including the Washington Commanders football team. What were they previously named?

00:22:57 - 00:22:58 | Speaker 2:

The Redskins.

00:22:59 - 00:23:08 | Speaker 1:

And question number five, Selena Gomez celebrated her 33rd birthday with a star-studded party over the weekend. Who is her fiancé?

00:23:10 - 00:23:13 | Speaker 2:

Ooh. Three seconds. I don't know.

00:23:14 - 00:23:15 | Speaker 1:

No clue, want to guess?

00:23:16 - 00:23:19 | Speaker 2:

No, it's not Justin Bieber, so no, I don't know.

00:23:19 - 00:23:32 | Speaker 1:

All right, let's bring the champ back from me. Or not champ, I'm sorry. I'm so used to saying that. It's like I'm a robot here. Let's bring the challenger back from a soundproof area somewhere in Southgate. Doug, Doug, are you ready?

00:23:33 - 00:23:34 | Speaker 2:

Kevin got three out of five.

00:23:34 - 00:23:53 | Speaker 1:

You got to beat three out of five. Otherwise, your non-friend Kevin is going to end up winning here. Question number one. During this Whiskey Glasses Singers concert on Friday in Arizona, he told fans with side chicks that they were safe at his show. What's his name?

00:23:55 - 00:23:55 | Speaker 3:

Morgan Wallen.

00:23:56 - 00:24:39 | Speaker 1:

Yes. One to one. Question number two. Speaking of the Coldplay cheating scandal, what's the name of the company that the guy involved, Andy Byron, was the CEO of? Wait a second. Um, Aerospace or Astronaut or something like that. Oh, you're close. Astronomer. That was a good guess, though. Astronomer. Never heard of it, but now it's the most popular name. Question number three. Over the weekend, Scotty Scheffler completed the third leg of his career Grand Slam. What sport does Scotty play? Baseball. No. He's a golfer.

00:24:39 - 00:24:40 | Speaker 2:

One to two.

00:24:41 - 00:24:59 | Speaker 1:

You've got to get the remaining questions right. Otherwise, we have a champion, and it's going to be Kevin. Question number four. President Trump is clamoring for sports teams to consider their name changes, including the Washington Commanders football.

00:25:00 - 00:25:04 | Speaker 4:

team, what were they previously named? The Redskins.

00:25:04 - 00:25:06 | Speaker 1:

Two to three.

00:25:06 - 00:25:43 | Speaker 4:

And it comes down to this last question. And it was a question that Kevin missed. You've got to get this question right to force a tie and then get a tiebreaker question. If you don't, have your back. Question number five. Do you know anything about Selena Gomez? Selena Gomez celebrated her 33rd birthday with a star-studded party over the weekend. Who is her fiancé? Three seconds. I have no idea. Throw a guess out. Come on, Doug.

00:25:44 - 00:25:48 | Speaker 2:

No. I don't know. It's not D-Roll. Say it.

00:25:49 - 00:26:53 | Speaker 4:

The winner is Kevin. Kevin. Represent, baby. Kevin, Kevin. Doug, if you run across a guy named Kevin at the local watering hole in Southgate, where's the place to hang in Southgate? Where do people hang out in Southgate to go have a cocktail or two? I don't know. It's all pretty corporate. Applebee's? Do we go to Applebee's? Where do we go? Where's our favorite place? If you guys go to the local Buffalo Wild Wings and you hear somebody say, Hey, Doug, say, I beat him, Kevin. Say, I beat him. Doug, we have a parting gift for you. I don't know what it is, but I got to go look. Something good. Let's see. Let's go. Yo, you got Doug. This is nice. This is actually good. It's not too far of a drive from Southgate. We're going to set you up with a four-pack of tickets to go to the Toledo Zoo. Nice. The award-winning Toledo Zoo. All this week, we'll be sponsoring the 5 at 6.55. Hang on the phone, Doug, and we'll get you set up with that. Kevin, see you tomorrow, buddy.

00:26:54 - 00:27:13 | Speaker 2:

All right. Thanks a lot, guys. Appreciate you. It's Mojo in the Mornings. 5 is 6.55. WKQI Detroit. WSNX Muskegon Grand Rapids. WVKS Toledo. Three great stations. One stupid show. This is Mojo in the Morning. Live.

00:27:15 - 00:27:32 | Speaker 4:

All right, it is Mojo in the Morning. The funniest is I said during the Dirty about how this Coldplay thing, how does it get so crazy and stuff. Now I'm being called a hypocrite because Friday morning we did the Coldplay contest here on

00:27:32 - 00:27:32 | Speaker 3:

Very true.

00:27:32 - 00:27:35 | Speaker 4:

the air. And I am. I am a hypocrite.

00:27:36 - 00:27:38 | Speaker 3:

You've had a weekend to think about it. Everybody has.

00:27:38 - 00:27:51 | Speaker 4:

I had a weekend to think about it and I am a hypocrite on it. But yes, I do. But I am amazed. I am amazed that these stories become so crazy, how the Coldplay thing just got to be so nuts. Captured the world.

00:27:51 - 00:27:53 | Speaker 1:

That mascots are reenacting it. Yeah.

00:27:54 - 00:27:58 | Speaker 3:

That was funny, though. I'm not going to lie. That Phillies game, they jumped on it quick. That was funny.

00:27:58 - 00:28:07 | Speaker 1:

That mojo from Mojo in the Morning is reenacting it. Did you like that, by the way? If you haven't seen our Instagram or Facebook. Did you like that? I have laughed really hard.

00:28:07 - 00:29:02 | Speaker 4:

So I, and it was actually a true situation. So this weekend, I needed to get a haircut. And the official hairdresser of mine, I don't know if that's how she's titled. She actually honestly has some very, very famous people that she cuts hair for. But her name is Katrina, and I'm probably the least of the people that are on this list. I mean, she flies all over the world and cuts hair. Katrina was out this weekend and could not cut my hair, and I needed a haircut because we're having lunch today with the mayor of Detroit, Mayor Duggan. We're all going to lunch today, actually Shannon, myself, and Lydia. And I wanted to look presentable for the mayor, Mr. Mayor. You know what I mean? Because I'm hoping that I got the key to the city. He's bringing it. He's on his way out as the mayor. And I figure maybe he'll give me a key to the city and he'll give me even something more. You know what I mean? Like, let's see what's going on.

00:29:02 - 00:29:06 | Speaker 1:

I didn't realize that this is what this lunch was all about today. It's probably Mojo Day.

00:29:07 - 00:29:07 | Speaker 3:

Yeah.

00:29:07 - 00:29:16 | Speaker 4:

I'm trying. I want to have that. So I figure, you know how some people have like one foot out the door at work and they end up stealing things from their work? I'm hoping that Mayor Duggan does that.

00:29:16 - 00:29:18 | Speaker 1:

Or they start pardoning people.

00:29:18 - 00:29:59 | Speaker 4:

I would like that so I needed a haircut Katrina was out I text her and she said love she calls me love or something like that or honey or whatever we have a very affectionate relationship and she said I'm not available right now and I said okay so I ended up calling George from Six Salon okay what up George George is a good friend of the show too and Katrina works in George's salon there she actually cuts in the sixth salon in Birmingham. And I said, George, do you have time to fit me in? So George did. He fit me in. And it was really awkward for me. And I kind of felt like that Coldplay CEO. I felt like I was getting busted.

00:30:00 - 00:30:24 | Speaker 2:

Because there is something, and I don't know, do you ever feel this way? Have you ever cheated on your hairstylist or barber, Kev, in your case? Do you ever go to somebody else and then you feel like the next time that you go back to your person, you feel like you have to try to explain yourself because they know that they gave you a haircut so long ago and your hair would look completely different, right?

00:30:24 - 00:30:59 | Speaker 3:

Yeah, no, for sure. Shout out Daryl. I was in there this weekend, but across from Daryl is a woman named Ashley. And I was in the shop one night. Daryl wasn't there, and I'm like, man, who in here cuts the best hair? Because you always wonder that, too. Like, am I with the person? Am I going to the best person, or is somebody else in here better than the person that I'm going to? Yeah. And I sat down with Ashley, and it was a completely different experience. She took my jacket, hung it up. I said, where am I? I've never been treated this way before. Offered me a shot. She had candy. She was massaging my shoulder. Oh, man, the massage would have done me in.

00:30:59 - 00:31:22 | Speaker 1:

I got accused of cheating on my longtime hairstylist, Kelly, one time, and I didn't. The color of my hair, I think, just changes. Like, if I go out in the sun and stuff and she's like, who did your hair? I go, Kelly, I swear, I'm literally scared of you. I would never go to anybody else without telling you. And I love you. But she accused me of cheating falsely.

00:31:22 - 00:31:30 | Speaker 2:

I have to be honest with you. Kevin brings up a really interesting point Because it's funny Because he went from Daryl the barber To, what was her name?

00:31:30 - 00:31:31 | Speaker 3:

Ashley

00:31:31 - 00:31:39 | Speaker 2:

To Ashley And Ashley does the whole thing Yeah God, I hope Katrina's not listening But George

00:31:39 - 00:31:41 | Speaker 1:

She's listening She always listens

00:31:41 - 00:31:50 | Speaker 2:

George did, like, up the game a little bit Like, he did Like, I think I got twice the shampooing I got a shampoo in the beginning And a shampoo at the end

00:31:50 - 00:31:53 | Speaker 1:

He like, she ain't never did Why do you need two shampoos, by the way?

00:31:53 - 00:32:07 | Speaker 2:

Because he wanted to get rid of the hair that was off of me. Then he started doing things. He textured and did all this stuff, which is funny because I know that Katrina does an amazing job, and I love the job that she does. But then I looked at George's thing. I'm going, oh, my God. He spent a little bit more time with me.

00:32:07 - 00:32:08 | Speaker 1:

You like it better.

00:32:08 - 00:32:42 | Speaker 2:

And it was kind of, no, but I think it does look pretty good. It looks great. George's still a good job. Look at me on the camera right now. But I kind of was thinking, and then I know he's the owner of the salon, so you kind of get a little bougie. He can sit you anywhere he wants to. He's like, hey, let's go right over here. And I had like this, my own little area where Katrina has a couple of chairs in the back. You know, she's got like a, like three or four chairs, but I never get the one chair that's over to the side. That seems like it's the, you know, so I, I, I will tell you it was very interesting. Like it was a very interesting experience, but I, I can't cheat on my Katrina. I love my Katrina.

00:32:42 - 00:32:45 | Speaker 1:

But deep down inside. But George, are you available in two weeks?

00:32:45 - 00:33:11 | Speaker 2:

But George, if there's a way, if there's a way that I can actually, you know, but can I ask, do people feel this way with other occupations or is it just hairdressers? Like, do you ever feel this way if you go to a different, I don't know, say doctor or you go to a or if you go to, I don't know, a different nail lady. Nail lady is a big one, right? Oh, right.

00:33:12 - 00:33:28 | Speaker 1:

Sometimes my nail lady that I go to all the time, shout out PD, is not available. And I have to go to Linda, who I love as well. But they sit right next to each other. So when I come in, I'm always like, you weren't available. Even though they don't care. They're like best friends.

00:33:28 - 00:33:39 | Speaker 2:

When Misfit Victor owned Lulu's, I would go to the Coney that was down the street sometimes. And the guy at the Coney down the street would go, oh, I just saw Victor the other day. I'm like, oh, Christ, I'm going to get in trouble.

00:33:39 - 00:33:46 | Speaker 3:

I thought you were going to say, from a chef perspective, they don't cook the same if Victor isn't there. That's the thing, too. Did Victor cook?

00:33:46 - 00:34:59 | Speaker 2:

No. Occasionally, he would run in the back there, but he usually would just talk. That's his role. But I would tell you this, that the Coney down the street was definitely not as good as Lulu's, and still not as good. Real quick, hold on. I just got a text message from Katrina. Stop. Lydia. I hope it's a voice memo. Lydia, if you have a second, block her number from us. oh my god i love her so much this is crazy it was it was it was kind of uh kind of nuts i did feel like weird doing it like i felt weird uh because you know it's it's like the um the situation where you go to a different place like you're going like to a totally different position in the salon because he's like right up towards the the front and i i saw some people i never never see like i'm looking around going oh this is like new sites yeah you know what i mean you went to a whole different salon it was it really kind of felt uh kind of felt totally different and the conversation is interesting too although george does not gossip with me like uh like katrina does katrina gives me some good yeah you know she gives me it's obvious she gives me the tea as those kids like to say what's up olivia what's going on hey so you know i have my kids

00:35:00 - 00:35:33 | Speaker 4:

their dentist uh it's uh really nice guy really nice city ladies and it's in southfield and it's just when i moved here from new york like somebody recommended the guy so i've been taking the kids there but i live in birmingham so now i found a dentist that i like in birmingham and i really kind of not want to drive to southfield anymore i don't know what to do really you're trapped See, can I be honest with you?

00:35:33 - 00:35:45 | Speaker 2:

I would go with the convenience of it, and the biggest reason why the convenience of it would make more sense is when you tell them, hey, it's hard for me to get over there, it makes sense. Mine was in the same salon. You know what I mean?

00:35:47 - 00:35:55 | Speaker 4:

I appreciate that they're not going to care about my two little kids The problem, though, is with a dentist or a doctor,

00:35:55 - 00:35:58 | Speaker 2:

you have to ask for your records, and that's a weird thing.

00:35:58 - 00:36:02 | Speaker 5:

Yep. You have to have them trace for the records. Let them do it. You'll have no contact.

00:36:02 - 00:36:14 | Speaker 2:

Yeah, I don't know. I always feel like once I stop going to a dentist or a doctor or your tax guy, that they're going to tell everybody that you're dirty or something, you know? All your secrets. Oh, my God.

00:36:14 - 00:36:16 | Speaker 6:

He doesn't even floss. Get ready.

00:36:17 - 00:36:20 | Speaker 2:

Lydia did me dirty on this one. Hello, Katrina.

00:36:20 - 00:36:24 | Speaker 3:

Hey, you cheetah You cheetah

00:36:24 - 00:36:26 | Speaker 5:

You cheetah

00:36:26 - 00:36:34 | Speaker 3:

I made cheetah And posted it And CEO'd me Coldplay style The whole thing

00:36:34 - 00:36:37 | Speaker 2:

I made sure that you were tagging it

00:36:37 - 00:36:41 | Speaker 3:

Oh, I hear him and his fancy hair wash You go see what you're going to get next time

00:36:41 - 00:37:03 | Speaker 2:

He said two shampoos The only thing, honestly I get great Great, you know, stories to bring up on the radio, things to talk about on the air, and mints. I get mints from you. There's a bowl of mints that is right there in the waiting area there. But I don't get the two washes, which George gave me the two washes.

00:37:03 - 00:37:06 | Speaker 3:

You'll get them. You'll get two washes and a massage this time.

00:37:06 - 00:37:13 | Speaker 2:

And tell Kendall that the massage was way longer with George's girl than it is with her. So I want her to know that.

00:37:13 - 00:37:16 | Speaker 3:

I'll tell her that. We're writing notes, honey. We're writing notes for you.

00:37:16 - 00:37:21 | Speaker 2:

uh well i no i can never be ready i can never cheat on you i love you too much so i'm joking

00:37:21 - 00:37:26 | Speaker 3:

i love you guys so much that whole skit was amazing hey question for you does george have

00:37:26 - 00:37:37 | Speaker 2:

to call or any uh of the people do they call you and say hey by the way are you cool with this or is that how like if somebody listens to like blaine and uh lauren in the morning i feel like

00:37:37 - 00:37:47 | Speaker 3:

they have to call us and say hey i switch stations yeah we do we do we do as a courtesy call if it somebody that's important to you we would do it but you know not in general have you ever walked

00:37:47 - 00:37:52 | Speaker 5:

into the salon and seen one of your clients in someone else's chair yes and totally called them

00:37:52 - 00:38:01 | Speaker 3:

out and walked over and said hey shelly what's that like do you i will not i i call everybody

00:38:01 - 00:38:06 | Speaker 5:

out do you do you oh yeah internalize it and say like did i do something wrong or do you just

00:38:06 - 00:38:12 | Speaker 3:

immediately be like shelly's just a bitch oh no i go right to her face hey shelly so what you doing

00:38:13 - 00:38:15 | Speaker 2:

That is a very Shelly thing.

00:38:16 - 00:38:17 | Speaker 3:

I'll talk to you later.

00:38:17 - 00:38:18 | Speaker 2:

I love you.

00:38:18 - 00:38:19 | Speaker 3:

All right. Love you guys. See you. Bye.

00:38:22 - 00:38:30 | Speaker 1:

It's Mojo's Summer of Cars, Cash, and Gas. Driven by Gordon Chevrolet in Garden City. Get in in a few minutes on Mojo in the Morning.

00:38:30 - 00:38:45 | Speaker 2:

All right. It is Mojo in the Morning show. Shannon, man, there's something going on with Shannon here. I don't know what the story is, but she's been speaking up for herself lately. You had a story like a week or two weeks ago where I was like, Shannon got involved in something and I was like.

00:38:45 - 00:38:47 | Speaker 6:

Oh, the kid who was making fun of Wes.

00:38:47 - 00:38:50 | Speaker 2:

Yes. Yeah. And I was like, wow, this is different.

00:38:50 - 00:38:50 | Speaker 6:

So upset.

00:38:50 - 00:38:56 | Speaker 2:

She had another thing this weekend and this one, your kids were like witnessing it.

00:38:56 - 00:39:59 | Speaker 6:

So the kids and I rode our bikes to our neighborhood Kroger store on Saturday morning to get a few things that we were going to bring to my family reunion that I had later that day. And on our way out, we saw two guys in the Kroger parking lot getting into a huge fight. And Lucy knew how it started. The guy, like, opened his door too wide and the other guy, like, couldn't get around to get into his parking spot. So the one guy literally screeched his car to a halt, got out of his car, and these two are going at each other in the middle of the parking lot, not even in parking spots. So we're walking out of the store and walking back over to the area where our bikes are parked and we're all just staring as we walk by Lucy Smith and I at these two and they are hurling every swear word in the book at each other. I thought they were going to like physically fight each other and I'm fine, whatever, until one of the guys drops the gay slur.

00:40:00 - 00:40:53 | Speaker 4:

f-word and there are like I'm fine with my kids hearing swear words they know them all already that word to me really gets me going there are a few words that I just think are completely absolutely unacceptable to say and they make me numb when I hear them and that's one of them so I yelled hey there are kids right here and I don't even think they heard me to be honest because they were so intent on going at each other, Lucy got so upset with me that I got involved in this argument. And she gave me the third degree of, Mom, why did you get involved? Somebody could have had a gun. Like, they could have come over to you or to us. And she's right that I shouldn't have gotten involved. I was so pissed that, one, the guy used the word. Two, he used it in front of two kids.

00:40:53 - 00:40:53 | Speaker 2:

Yeah.

00:40:54 - 00:41:03 | Speaker 4:

And as I, as I biked away, I'm like, I would have told her never, ever, I've always told them never, ever get involved in, you know, in an argument, but I was so mad.

00:41:03 - 00:41:08 | Speaker 2:

Did you use that as a moment to explain to them how bad that word is?

00:41:08 - 00:41:27 | Speaker 4:

Yes. And it was like a twofold discussion of that word. And then we started talking about other words that just never, you should never even allude to. and also about the importance of how Lucy was right in that situation and mom was wrong in getting involved in an argument that I really shouldn't have.

00:41:28 - 00:41:52 | Speaker 3:

Sometimes, though, I will say, yes, it's very important to always have the conversation. Even if you don't say anything, they're witnessing it. It's amazing to have the conversation of the right way to handle the situation. But sometimes they need to see you stand up in certain moments. So I kind of question, like, does that leave more of a lasting impression, the fact that you did speak up, than if you hadn't have said anything and just had the conversation. She was really mad at me.

00:41:52 - 00:41:53 | Speaker 2:

Yeah.

00:41:53 - 00:41:57 | Speaker 4:

I don't know if it was embarrassing or if she was truly scared, but she was mad at me.

00:41:57 - 00:42:26 | Speaker 2:

I agree with Kev on this one. I think that, I think you especially, you know, it'd be, I think it would be really not great for you, especially with being with the kids, if you got like in their face more than just said, hey, don't use that word. Like if you got right up in their face or something like that, that would be taking it to a next the next level but i think it's a good learning moment at that time to be able to say it because how old were these people that were doing this two guys the one guy was still in his car so

00:42:26 - 00:42:37 | Speaker 4:

i don't know the other guy who got out of his car was probably 40. oh so okay that's amazing because i will tell you this i hear just in the middle of the parking lot slamming doors and

00:42:37 - 00:44:04 | Speaker 2:

going at each other because i can't believe i hear i hear a lot of uh i thought maybe they might have been a little bit younger than that i hear a lot of like 20 somethings or even you know teens using that word and the hard r a lot like it's still in language really gets me that's another one it to me is like you know and i and i will say this you know i think that there's a lot of words i got i definitely don't uh don't think you should be using those words but i think that you put those on you know jacob uh our son was really upset because when we were in uh london um uh luke and joe were buying cigarettes and the guy used the that word the f the f word and it got jacob and then the boys actually repeated it and he's like don't repeat it even if it's about a cigarette you know what i mean like he didn't want him to repeat it and it was a good lesson for to learn for the boys but they were obviously you know that's what they call a cigarette there so they really oh yeah they use that as a word for the cigarette at the place the store that we were at he said you know the guy had said it which is interesting that that's still used as a word but i guess i don't know if that's just something different over there yeah but i think that you what you did was actually good i really do i and i think that lucy is right in being worried but i think it's a good learning experience and it's cool for her to to see that and witness you doing that what's up shane how you doing good how are you good what's going on

00:44:04 - 00:44:38 | Speaker 1:

I just wanted to call in, and I just wanted to say that Lucy's a smart girl for, I mean, coming at Shannon with a third degree on that one. The world's kind of crazy nowadays, and you never know what somebody's going to do and how they're going to react, especially if they're already heated like that. I mean, I was just on my way home from work on Friday, and I was stopped at a light by a 7-Eleven, and I watched two guys get into it coming out of the store as one pulled a gun out of his waistband. And he walked towards the other guy, and he hopped in his car and like speeded out of the parking lot. The world's kind of crazy now. I know. You never know what somebody's going to do.

00:44:39 - 00:44:41 | Speaker 2:

Now I just think Shannon's an idiot for doing what she's doing.

00:44:41 - 00:44:47 | Speaker 3:

I'm hearing that story. How crazy is that? You might not have seen Shannon's arms lately. She brought two guns to that argument.

00:44:49 - 00:44:51 | Speaker 2:

Chrissy, what's going on? It's Mojo in the morning.

00:44:53 - 00:44:57 | Speaker 4:

Hi, Shannon. I just wanted to give you a shout-out for taking accountability in front of your children

00:44:57 - 00:45:00 | Speaker 1:

because I know that that's super hard.

00:45:00 - 00:45:10 | Speaker 6:

hard but the fact that you even apologized to your daughter and she's so young like that really sets you up to be such a positive influence in your child's life and I think that's really cool

00:45:10 - 00:45:30 | Speaker 2:

that you did that thanks I I I'm like trust me I did not tell this story to get accolades by any means I'm like what do you do in that situation where you hear like a horrible word and at the same time lose right of like just shut your mouth and ignore it and move on instead of getting involved so i don't know what the right thing to do was but i did what i did i i think you did a

00:45:30 - 00:45:35 | Speaker 6:

good job i think you did a great job for sure like positive like parent moment there for sure

00:45:35 - 00:45:38 | Speaker 2:

you know those there are those things those words it's like your head's on a swivel

00:45:38 - 00:45:46 | Speaker 8:

yeah and you can't just you can't ignore it what's going on alicia hey guys kind of along

00:45:46 - 00:46:17 | Speaker 4:

the same things not necessarily just giving accolades but shan you have to remember a you're an amazing mom and you're doing absolutely everything right um but b we forget sometimes that we're humans too you know like our kids see us living life as well thinking that we have it all together but we're doing this thing for the first time too and it's so hard to try to you know navigate life as it is as a parent but then also for ourselves you know yeah absolutely

00:46:18 - 00:46:23 | Speaker 8:

Listen, Shannon, by the way, is going to now get her CPL because this is going to be her thing.

00:46:24 - 00:46:24 | Speaker 2:

No, I'm not.

00:46:24 - 00:46:46 | Speaker 8:

We're going to call Sheriff Bouchard and she's going to get her CPL and she's going to be carrying it on the side with her. Freeze! Hannah will get out of the car waving in the air. Kids, I got this one. I will F you. Kimberly, what's going on? It's Mojo in the morning. Hi.

00:46:47 - 00:46:48 | Speaker 5:

Good morning.

00:46:48 - 00:46:49 | Speaker 8:

Good morning. What's going on?

00:46:51 - 00:47:06 | Speaker 5:

I had to tell my 8-year-old that we don't say the R word. She said it about an object and was not understanding until I literally had to break it down for her. Yeah. And she apologized and said she'll never say it again. Yeah. It's sad that adults can't be that way. I agree with you.

00:47:07 - 00:47:55 | Speaker 8:

You know what's funny about Shannon doing this? I remember my mom having moments with me, like at the grocery store, like where you guys were, where it was like learning lessons. And I can, like, vividly remember, and it was never something that was honestly this hardcore, but it was, like, lessons of, and she would always do it. And for some reason, always was in a grocery store. Like, I remember that as a kid. And honestly, as a little, like, I think Lucy will remember that forever. Like, I think that will be one of those moments where she obviously will remember the confrontation that took place. She'll remember her confronting you, and then she'll remember your conversation. And then she'll look back on it one day, I think, as an adult and go, wow, that was a pretty cool thing that my mom did, but also could have been stupid if the guy had a gun, you know. Alyssa, what's up? It's Mojo in the morning. Hi.

00:47:56 - 00:48:02 | Speaker 7:

Hey, see you guys on Thursday. But I will also, yeah, excited. Anyway, so.

00:48:02 - 00:48:11 | Speaker 8:

Let's explain that, by the way, for anybody that thinks that we're having a Coldplay concert moment. We're giving away the car on Thursday at Gordon Chevrolet.

00:48:11 - 00:48:17 | Speaker 5:

i'm glad you just said yeah it's friday this whole time it's thursday yes what was your comment i'm

00:48:17 - 00:48:58 | Speaker 7:

sorry what'd you say okay so um we go to cedar point we have cedar point passes and obviously kids go there with their friends or whatever i have an eight-year-old and my husband and i will be in line with her they talk in ridiculous slangs and completely inappropriate and there's many times where i'll turn around i'll be like there's a child in front of you like let's watch your mouth uh do you think your parents would be okay with the way that you're talking right now yeah so it's not just adults it's the kids too that think they're big shots and talking oh yeah absolutely ridiculous and thinking that they're just so cool with the inappropriate words and

00:48:58 - 00:49:14 | Speaker 8:

can i tell you though i did that one time and the kid fought back with me and i was like i was scared too shut the hell up oh man i think the guy called me fat or something but i had that happen to me and i'm not kidding you when i say this to you it was one of those situations where

00:49:14 - 00:49:21 | Speaker 3:

Mojo in the Morning's Dirty on the 30.

00:52:15 - 00:52:17 | Speaker 4:

All right, we got the Dirty on the 30 for you. What's up, Shannon?

00:52:18 - 00:52:31 | Speaker 3:

Well, Coldplay's Chris Martin jokingly warned fans that they can end up on the Jumbotron during their concerts at their show in Madison, Wisconsin over the weekend, just still poking fun at the scandal from last week.

00:52:31 - 00:52:59 | Speaker 7:

I would like to say hello to some of you in the crowd. How are we going to do that? is we're going to use our cameras and put some of you on the big screen. So please, if you haven't done your makeup, do your makeup now.

00:52:59 - 00:53:30 | Speaker 3:

I mean, we're all still talking about astronomer, well, former astronomer CEO Andy Byron, who was caught on the kiss cam with his arms around his married co-worker, Kristen Cabot. The update over the weekend, he has resigned from his position as CEO after being put on administrative leave as the company looked into what was going on. The company said no other employees were at the concert that night, aside from those two. Astronomer also shared they are looking for their next CEO now.

00:53:30 - 00:53:36 | Speaker 4:

Wait, so that one woman that was there that had the other look on her face, she was not an employee. A lot of the rumors was that she was...

00:53:36 - 00:53:37 | Speaker 3:

Apparently not.

00:53:37 - 00:53:39 | Speaker 4:

A friend of the HR person.

00:53:39 - 00:53:51 | Speaker 3:

Yeah, the company said it was only the two of them. Now, I also saw that, I mean, everybody's making jokes about this. There's so many memes. But during Morgan Wallen's show Friday night in Arizona, he was cracking jokes about this.

00:53:51 - 00:54:03 | Speaker 7:

Hey, I don't know if there's anybody in here with their side chick or whatever. I think you're safe here.

00:54:03 - 00:54:09 | Speaker 5:

I don't, it don't change anymore.

00:54:12 - 00:54:20 | Speaker 4:

I like how Morgan Wallen walks out before the show, and he always picks like a legend from the city. He had Randy Johnson, the big left-handed pitcher.

00:54:21 - 00:54:22 | Speaker 5:

Wow, I used to love him, man.

00:54:22 - 00:54:25 | Speaker 4:

Randy Johnson, remember when he hit the bird with his fastball?

00:54:25 - 00:54:26 | Speaker 5:

Yes, he blasted that pigeon.

00:54:26 - 00:54:34 | Speaker 4:

But I love when he does that, because he always knows the right person, and they show it up on the screen, and everybody goes crazy. the best was in Houston when he had like

00:54:34 - 00:54:38 | Speaker 5:

Roger Clemens. Yeah, Roger Clemens and then he had Drake. Who did he bring out

00:54:38 - 00:55:00 | Speaker 4:

in this one? Randy Johnson from the Arizona Diamondbacks. I didn't see anybody else, but I just saw the Randy Johnson one. I love Morgan Wallen. Can I tell you something? I was telling Tony this over the weekend. I think that Morgan Wallen, there's something about this guy, and I don't know what the story is, but every song that he puts out, I want to hate, and I end up

00:55:00 - 00:55:01 | Speaker 5:

like you. Every song is catchy.

00:55:01 - 00:55:15 | Speaker 3:

It's so true. And I cannot figure out what it is. I don't know another artist that's like that. Like, it's funny. Like, I can't figure out, like, if there's any other artists that I've ever experienced where I just hate to love their music. But now back to you, Shannon. Okay.

00:55:17 - 00:55:33 | Speaker 5:

Did you guys see what happened at the Katy Perry show in San Fran over the weekend? She almost died again. Holy crap. So she has this, like, humongous butterfly that she flies over the crowd on for part of the show and it looked like one of the cave like something

00:55:33 - 00:55:55 | Speaker 7:

happened to some of the cave. This is the heart-stopping moment pop star Katy Perry's giant flying butterfly suddenly drops. Lurching toward the crowd below Perry stopped singing and looks up at the rigging then raising her hand as if to steady herself before continuing on with the song war.

00:55:55 - 00:56:10 | Speaker 1:

she came over right in front of us and all of a sudden just dropped and when that happened my heart literally sunk because we were scared for her we were scared for the fans that were also

00:56:10 - 00:56:43 | Speaker 7:

below her the scare unfolding friday at the chase center part of her lifetimes tour and this is not her first stunt stumble last month in australia the pop star clinging to her large metal sphere as it tipped to one side. And Katy Perry isn't the only star caught dangling from above. In June, Beyonce's flying red car tilting midair during her Cowboy Carter stop in her hometown of Houston. The megastar pausing the show, later reassuring the crowd.

00:56:45 - 00:56:58 | Speaker 6:

Stars like Beyonce, Katy Perry, and others, they're well aware of how much their concert tickets are going for their fans. They really want to make sure that fans are getting their money worth.

00:56:59 - 00:57:15 | Speaker 7:

And Chris Brown was left hanging during a performance in Newark until a ladder arrived. And this morning, as artists push the boundaries on stage, these malfunctions are raising questions about aerial stunt safety, not just for the performers, but for the fans watching below.

00:57:15 - 00:57:24 | Speaker 5:

I would have damn near had a heart attack if that happened. it is really scary if you haven't seen it definitely worth a google so you can see how

00:57:24 - 00:57:54 | Speaker 3:

it happened uh a pink show have you guys ever been to a pink show no but she does tons of she does acrobatics throughout the whole show yeah and i don't know how many times she's ever had an incident i don't i have not heard of many but maybe katie perry needs to just stay on the stage and sing like i think that the pink thing is part of her deal yeah but i think that sometimes the artists, like, they want to give you, like, the greatest thing ever. And I think that the idea that they're flying up, like, that's not a good way to die. You know what I mean?

00:57:54 - 00:57:55 | Speaker 4:

Dumb ways to die.

00:57:55 - 00:57:59 | Speaker 3:

And it's like a circus where they're doing it in so many different places, you know?

00:57:59 - 00:58:12 | Speaker 4:

The only thing that I do like about it is that it gives fans the opportunity to be that much closer to the artist. Yeah. You know what I mean? You're standing in seats that are so, so far away. This is their chance to get close. She's in Detroit August 3rd. We don't need to die, though.

00:58:12 - 00:58:46 | Speaker 5:

And lastly, Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt's daughter, Shiloh Jolie, making the dirty because of her girlfriend, 19-year-old Shai, and her rumored girlfriend, Kiani Rose, spotted in Studio City, California, together on Saturday by the paparazzi, just packing on the PDA. And I'm hearing from a few different people that it's actually a pretty serious relationship to the point that they have a condo and have moved in together as well. Christy.

00:58:59 - 00:59:00 | Speaker 2:

Yes, hello.

00:59:00 - 00:59:03 | Speaker 3:

Yes, Christy, you're a winner. Congratulations.

00:59:03 - 00:59:06 | Speaker 2:

Oh, my gosh. Thank you, guys. You win, baby.

00:59:07 - 00:59:29 | Speaker 3:

Yeah. Oh, my gosh. This is crazy. Thank you so much. Christy, did you hear Kev? You win, baby. You win. You are now in the contest. A $50 gas card, and you're qualified to win a 2025 loaded Chevy Trax or $20,000 cash. Which one are we choosing? If you're on Thursday, the winner of this thing.

00:59:30 - 00:59:32 | Speaker 7:

I'm going to take the Trax.

00:59:32 - 00:59:33 | Speaker 3:

Give her the Trax. I like it.

00:59:34 - 00:59:35 | Speaker 7:

I like Christy. Yes.

00:59:36 - 00:59:54 | Speaker 3:

I think we shouldn't ask the people what they're going to take on Friday. or Thursday because I want to be surprised. I want them to win and then I want to be surprised, but I don't know. What do you think, Lydia? How do you think the best way to do it is? Or at least don't tell us. Don't tell the guys on the show. I think they've all

00:59:54 - 00:59:58 | Speaker 1:

been changing their minds so much that we will be surprised. I really hope that

00:59:58 - 01:00:35 | Speaker 3:

that's the case. Yeah, you never know. To me, you know, it's, you know, it's wild. Like I'll watch like shows all the time, like these game shows and they'll open up the door, you know, to the, I don't know, Price is Right, you know, backstage thing there. And it's like a new living room. And I'm like, I don't need a new living room. But you know what? That couch looks amazing. But you know what I mean? Like, same thing. Like, I don't want to, you know, I don't know. I was never really thinking. Chevy Trax was on my list of cars to go get. I like my Tahoe. But if I can get a Chevy Trax, I'm like, all right, I'll take the Chevy Trax. All right, why not? Give me the Trax.

01:00:35 - 01:00:37 | Speaker 2:

I don't need a living room. I don't want to take the Trax.

01:00:38 - 01:00:42 | Speaker 3:

All right, hang on the phone for just one second, and we'll get some information from you, okay?

01:00:42 - 01:00:44 | Speaker 2:

All right, thank you.

01:00:44 - 01:01:00 | Speaker 3:

You're welcome. Mojo in the Morning Show, phone number 844-MOJO-LIVE. The text is 95500. I want to have Kevin talk about church yesterday. You went to church and noticed something kind of interesting at church.

01:01:00 - 01:02:28 | Speaker 2:

I slid to my grandmother's church, which wasn't a premeditated thing. I didn't wake up that morning and say, we're going to go to grandma's church. But we were leaving somewhere, Josiah and I. And I looked at the time and I said, hey, we're only going to be about 10 minutes late if we take this exit. Grandma's church is right there. Let's surprise her on this beautiful Sunday. Hear a great message and do all the things. So Josiah's like, sure. I haven't seen Grandma Ruth in a minute. We go to church, bro. And mind you, this is the church that my grandmother has gone to my entire life. Like, I grew up in this specific church. And when I was younger, there were people busting at the seams. Like, it was almost like the church wasn't large enough to hold the amount of people that would come. We had three different choirs, like the little kids choir, and the middle-aged choir, and the adults choir, three different robes. Church used to be packed to the masses. The sanctuary was filled. The overflow upstairs was filled. people had to be downstairs like in the area where you would eat and they put speakers in there so you could hear there like this church was everywhere hustling and bustling i went into church sunday and it was about seven or eight people what including the pastor in the whole church in the entire church and it made me think like where did the ball drop like who didn't if we're using like a race analogy or like racing analogy like who didn't take the baton like when When did it fall where it's almost like, as we say these days, we're losing recipes? Like the youth isn't holding up their end of the bargain.

01:02:28 - 01:02:45 | Speaker 3:

It's wild because I heard stories. There was a story the other day about the revival of people going to church in the Catholic church because that pope, that new pope, they were saying that there's all these younger people now excited because the pope is from the United States. But at your grandma's church, there weren't a lot of people.

01:02:46 - 01:02:48 | Speaker 2:

Nothing like nobody was in there, bro.

01:02:48 - 01:02:59 | Speaker 3:

I feel like, you know, it's one of those things where I do feel like when we were younger, our parents made us go to church every week. And I feel like now it's like we just go, you know, C&E's, you know, Christmas and Easter.

01:03:00 - 01:03:36 | Speaker 1:

Yeah, yeah. I mean, I'll be the first to say that more so after the pandemic, I will be like, we can just watch it on TV. Because that became an option. Or we'll just do like, like yesterday, Wes was better than me for sure. Cause he's like, I'm just going to go out on the front porch and do a devotional instead of like getting ready and everything to go to church. Like we'll, we'll use that option instead, which I, I need to get my butt back into church a hundred percent. But I think I, I really do think at some point the pandemic did play into it because now there's this option of, you can just watch it from your couch in your pajamas.

01:03:37 - 01:03:45 | Speaker 3:

I watched the 30 minute Joel Osteen show on Sunday mornings. Is this just church that this is happening or the youth doing it in other places?

01:03:45 - 01:04:15 | Speaker 2:

I saw a report that made me reflect on my family where it said, what did it say, family reunions are like 400% down year over year over year because either the elders who planned everything are too old to plan stuff anymore or a lot of these people done died off. And whatever generation that predates me, they didn't keep it going. And all of a sudden, you know, we're not doing it and our kids aren't doing it because they aren't growing up with it. It's just not the same anymore. I feel like we losing some of that tradition.

01:04:15 - 01:04:46 | Speaker 1:

We had a family reunion on Saturday. Kev, you came. And actually, after you left, we had a ton of people come this year. My dad hosts it every year. My dad and my stepmom. And so the family reunion was really packed. But all of the cousins were talking about how since my grandma, Shannie's granny died. I saw her. You did see her in her cooler. We need to spread her ashes. I want to hear about this, by the way. I was like, that's my grandma. I'm like, where? In the white cooler. Yeah. Wait a second. It's so screwed up.

01:04:46 - 01:04:57 | Speaker 3:

Like a white, like, igloo cooler or what kind of cooler? It's like a styrofoam. Wait a second. One of those, like, ones that you buy at a party store that's like the... You put your grandma. Shani's granny. Don't say me. Call your dad.

01:04:57 - 01:04:59 | Speaker 1:

Yeah, don't say me. Don't say me. I don't know if he's up yet. Shani's...

01:05:00 - 01:05:11 | Speaker 2:

he's granny you can call him lydia oh oh oh okay he's in an igloo cooler i don't know if it's even bright i think it might be generic i don't think it has a brand name near the clocks near the

01:05:11 - 01:05:22 | Speaker 1:

collection or actually that's not even an igloo an igloo would be a fancy cooler that's what i'm saying this is a styrofoam cheapo cooler that comes with those tin pans that they put turkeys

01:05:22 - 01:06:01 | Speaker 2:

in at christmas time yep that that's where she is but oh my god all of the cousins were talking about how she's rolling in her grave we don't well she's not in a grave she's in a cooler we uh we don't get together anymore like the matriarch of the family dies and we used to get together for every christmas every easter every thanksgiving and my grandma's house in allen park was busting at the seams with people and that doesn't happen anymore and that was such a sad discussion that we had my cousin ellen and i were talking and i'm like we never see like i don't even know what's going on with you aside from instagram right well you guys dropped the

01:06:01 - 01:06:20 | Speaker 1:

ball we dropped the ball guess what you just you just verbalized it now you got to do it you got to be the one that carries the the torch you got to be the the person that uh that carries the baton like kevin was saying you too kevin you guys can't just bring this up as a topic and be like all right we're not going to church on sunday what's going on katie

01:06:20 - 01:06:40 | Speaker 3:

hi um i think a lot of it has to do with they go so much as children like the parents technically are like this is what we do this is how we do it that when they get to the age that they can make their own decision that it's not at the top of their bucket list yeah it's too bad it's too

01:06:40 - 01:07:15 | Speaker 1:

bad though because there are certain traditions like i i love the traditions that we've had in our family like at christmas uh you know pat making the hawaiian salad you know which was awful it's like was it the fruit salad with the marshmallows yeah it was awful i mean seriously it's like nobody wanted it but pat would make it because my mom would want it all the time you know what i mean like those those are the things it's like we all start these new traditions i think about this katie as a dad like it's going to be sad that our kids are going to not carry the stuff on to the next level you know i absolutely agree and i also think that maybe

01:07:15 - 01:07:25 | Speaker 3:

a lot of the churches aren't offering a lot of programs especially for that young adult yeah that they don't feel like they're part of the church well and that's the thing it's like you

01:07:25 - 01:07:36 | Speaker 1:

know what the problem is problem is that we live in a streaming society everybody you know wants they want it in 44 minutes you know what i mean with no commercials i also think there are so many

01:07:36 - 01:07:54 | Speaker 2:

I'm basically just making excuses here. Like, we should all go back to church if we grew up going to church. But there are so many things on Sunday. Now there's flag football. Now there's baseball practice. Yeah, they never used to do that. Now there's swim meets every Sunday, all day. You know, I feel like there was not that.

01:07:54 - 01:08:15 | Speaker 1:

Back in the day, you would never have, like, I played CYO football. There was never a CYO game until after 3 o'clock in the afternoon because the church had to be done. You had to be done with all the masses and mass. The last mass was always usually like 115. A texter here, 734 says, Shani's granny is in a fishing bait box.

01:08:18 - 01:08:21 | Speaker 2:

That's awful, Shani. That is awful. Don't say it to me.

01:08:22 - 01:08:30 | Speaker 1:

No, but she loved you. Seriously, like, that's horrible. Tim Murphy.

01:08:30 - 01:08:32 | Speaker 2:

My poor dad. I love you, dad.

01:08:32 - 01:08:40 | Speaker 1:

Tim probably, what do you do, Tim, if you need an extra cooler for that party that you have on Saturday? Do you move her out of there and put ice in there?

01:08:40 - 01:08:47 | Speaker 2:

We were going to bring her out so we could all cheers her. But he said my stepmom would probably not be super happy about that. So we left her alone.

01:08:47 - 01:08:47 | Speaker 1:

What's up, Michelle?

01:08:48 - 01:08:51 | Speaker 4:

Good morning. How are you guys doing? Good morning.

01:08:51 - 01:08:51 | Speaker 1:

What's going on?

01:08:53 - 01:09:29 | Speaker 4:

So I feel like I go to church as well. And I just feel like the reason church attendance is down. Like, I go to a big church, so we're really, you know, packed. But I feel in the world the reason church attendance is down is just because, you know, church is to recommend you for doing things of the world. And I feel like a lot of people are trying to get away from that because, you know, people are just rewarded for, you know, ungodly behavior or bad behavior. and, you know, we're taught now just to accept what the world is giving us.

01:09:30 - 01:09:32 | Speaker 1:

That's sad, though, isn't it? It's sad.

01:09:32 - 01:09:35 | Speaker 4:

It's very sad. It's not what the church preaching is about.

01:09:35 - 01:10:00 | Speaker 1:

See, I think that that's an interesting thing, but that could have been the same thing, you know, two decades ago or a decade ago. I do think it's that we're all ADD now. Our phones and everything have made us more dependent on that, where we're not entertained anymore. Initial C, your voice disguised. Hi. Hi, good morning. Good morning. What's going on?

01:10:00 - 01:10:20 | Speaker 2:

on i think we all just have beef with our family i think these are very polarizing times i think we all argue about all the different things going on in the world i personally have family members that i don't talk to there's in-laws that i don't talk to so what's the point in getting together

01:10:20 - 01:10:26 | Speaker 7:

if we're all gonna be miserable you think so so you think it's that it's the family thing it's Is it politics?

01:10:27 - 01:10:27 | Speaker 2:

I think so.

01:10:28 - 01:10:34 | Speaker 5:

You think it's that? Yeah. I don't know. I'm Donald J. Trump, and I don't approve of this Mojo in the Morning message.

01:10:35 - 01:10:39 | Speaker 7:

What's up, Tasha? What's going on? It's Mojo in the Morning. How are you?

01:10:39 - 01:10:40 | Speaker 1:

Good. How are you?

01:10:40 - 01:10:46 | Speaker 7:

I'm doing okay. We're trying to bring back church. We're trying to make church great again.

01:10:47 - 01:10:52 | Speaker 1:

Hallelujah. Well, my mother, I used to have to go to church Sunday morning, Sunday night, youth group, youth choir, all that.

01:10:52 - 01:10:53 | Speaker 6:

Bro, mandatory.

01:10:53 - 01:11:01 | Speaker 1:

Yeah, I choose not to do it as an adult now, but I kind of realized as an adult with kids of my own, I think she used to use it as a free babysitter.

01:11:03 - 01:11:28 | Speaker 7:

That's funny. That is so funny. Can I tell you that at the church that I went to, I went to St. Michael's, there were people that used to, because there was babysitting service, people would put the kids in the babysitting service. And the priest one time had to get up in front of the church and say, if you're not attending church and you're just using the babysitting service to go to the grocery store and get your grocery, people would bring, they did that with members.

01:11:28 - 01:11:32 | Speaker 3:

How did they hear the pastor if they were at the grocery store?

01:11:32 - 01:11:46 | Speaker 7:

People tried to call the, you know, the pager number or whatever it was. They had like a thing that would alert the parents and the mom answered the phone and wasn't in church. So they actually, it's kind of like the same thing. Do you remember that happened at the health clubs or the...

01:11:46 - 01:12:02 | Speaker 4:

Well, it was happening at the health clubs. And I want to say Ikea was having a bad issue with it as well. And Canton, where people were dropping off their kids to that... There used to be a play area in the front. I haven't been there in forever. I don't know if it's still there. But people were doing the same thing. They were dropping them off and then leaving Ikea and going grocery shopping.

01:12:03 - 01:12:14 | Speaker 6:

If you drop your kid off at church and leave, you're going to hell. That's how it works. Could you imagine? That's how it works. You cannot do that. Jesus is watching my kids. I've got to go.

01:12:14 - 01:12:50 | Speaker 7:

Do you know what's funny is that I remember when my mom died, my sisters would still make us go to Mass. And I remember literally we would show up at Mass, and this was before you had cell phones with cameras and stuff on it. We had to go up to somebody that knew my dad, you know, my family. And we would have to basically check in with them so that they knew we were there because they would report back to my dad, I saw your kids at church. Like that's how important it was to my dad. Now you asked me why my dad wasn't at church. My dad always went, he always went to, like, 745 Mass on Sundays. And we were like, Dad, that's, like, the earliest Mass ever. So we would go to Mass separately with him.

01:12:50 - 01:12:56 | Speaker 6:

On this Hawaiian salad that Pat used to make with the marshmallows. What kind of dressing do you use for a marshmallow salad?

01:12:56 - 01:12:58 | Speaker 4:

I love this. It has coconut.

01:12:58 - 01:12:59 | Speaker 7:

It's the worst. Right, made or an orange.

01:12:59 - 01:13:01 | Speaker 4:

It sounds like nothing worse. The cherries.

01:13:02 - 01:13:03 | Speaker 7:

It is. I'm telling you.

01:13:03 - 01:13:06 | Speaker 4:

I'm trying to think what else is it. Apples, I think. What dressing are you using?

01:13:06 - 01:13:09 | Speaker 7:

I'm a dressing. Call Aunt Pat real quick. Do you have Aunt Pat's number up there?

01:13:10 - 01:13:11 | Speaker 5:

I don't think I do.

01:13:11 - 01:13:12 | Speaker 7:

Oh, you don't? Hold on a second.

01:13:12 - 01:13:15 | Speaker 5:

Is it the same salad that I'm talking about, Mojo? It's 3-1-2.

01:13:16 - 01:13:20 | Speaker 7:

Yes. It's so, it is honestly, this is no joke.

01:13:20 - 01:13:21 | Speaker 6:

She had the same numbers.

01:13:21 - 01:13:30 | Speaker 4:

Pineapple, grapes. Hair. How do we not have antacombs? Whipped cream. This is a fruit bowl? It looks like this. It kind of looks like vomit, but it's so good.

01:13:31 - 01:13:32 | Speaker 7:

It's awful.

01:13:32 - 01:13:38 | Speaker 4:

In fact, I haven't had it in years. If someone wants to. What's that name? Ambrosia. Ambrosia. The problem with it. Some people call it Hawaiian salad.

01:13:38 - 01:13:42 | Speaker 7:

The problem with this salad is that it was something that my mom would make.

01:13:43 - 01:13:45 | Speaker 4:

Isn't that nostalgic to you then?

01:13:45 - 01:13:59 | Speaker 7:

It is. No, it's not. Because my mom made other food that was better. But I didn't know my mom really as a chef or anything like that because she was sick my entire life. So my sisters would make it. So they would make this thing. And it's like, you know what?

01:13:59 - 01:14:01 | Speaker 4:

It's like a potluck dish. This was disgusting.

01:14:01 - 01:14:06 | Speaker 7:

It was like, yeah, seriously. All right. She's dialing her up right now. We're going to see if.

01:14:06 - 01:14:07 | Speaker 3:

Is Pat up this early?

01:14:08 - 01:14:22 | Speaker 7:

You know, Pat is never really awake or asleep. I don't know. Like, she's kind of like she sits in her chair all day, and she kind of doses in and out.

01:14:23 - 01:14:26 | Speaker 4:

Actually, I hope she's not asleep. Okay, you're lucky. Really?

01:14:27 - 01:14:28 | Speaker 7:

How's there no answer from Ann Pat?

01:14:29 - 01:14:30 | Speaker 4:

She's sleeping in her chair.

01:14:30 - 01:14:42 | Speaker 6:

She doesn't go anywhere. That's like how you just described Ann Pat. She's never really sleeping, never really late. It's kind of like how I'm looking at this fruit slam. Like, it's kind of full, but it's not really full. It is so good.

01:14:42 - 01:14:51 | Speaker 7:

Pat actually will text and say, I'm watching you, because she watches our stream. So, sometimes she'll do that. Let's see if she – oh, here she is. Here.

01:14:53 - 01:14:54 | Unknown:

Hello.

01:14:54 - 01:14:56 | Speaker 7:

Hi, Pat. Were you awake or were you sleeping?

01:14:58 - 01:14:58 | Speaker 6:

Sleeping.

01:14:59 - 01:14:59 | Speaker 7:

Oh, okay.

01:15:00 - 01:15:13 | Speaker 2:

Sorry to wake you up. Oh, there you are. Look at Pat. There's Pat right there. Say hi to Pat. Hi, good morning. There's Pat. There she is right there. Camera, you can see Pat. I love her. Pat. Shannon wants to know if she can get your Hawaiian salad recipe.

01:15:15 - 01:15:21 | Speaker 3:

The pineapple and the mandarin oranges and the marshmallow. Yes. Coconut. Yep, yep.

01:15:21 - 01:15:27 | Speaker 2:

Pat, is this blasphemy for me to say this, but that is my least favorite thing that I've ever eaten in our family.

01:15:28 - 01:15:29 | Speaker 3:

No, it's okay. You can say that.

01:15:30 - 01:15:35 | Speaker 2:

Was it something that mom made that she passed a tradition on, and that's why we serve it at our parties?

01:15:36 - 01:15:38 | Speaker 3:

Yeah, mom always made that too.

01:15:38 - 01:15:42 | Speaker 2:

Didn't she make anything that was good, though? Like, seriously. Peach cobbler?

01:15:42 - 01:15:42 | Unknown:

Yeah.

01:15:43 - 01:15:55 | Speaker 2:

I mean, I remember mom as being, like, somebody that had style and grace, and she was beautiful. I don't remember Hawaiian. I don't want the only thing I remember of my mother is her Hawaiian salad.

01:15:56 - 01:16:00 | Speaker 3:

No, she was a good cook. Marriage is a better cook, though.

01:16:00 - 01:16:16 | Speaker 2:

What about the spinach dip, the other one, too, that she would put into the loaf of bread, like in the center? Do you ever do that in your family? Wait, that sounds delicious. It was spinach dip, and we would get, like, what was that? Was that a rye loaf of, or what was that, challah? What was it? I don't even know.

01:16:17 - 01:16:18 | Speaker 3:

It was, like, a round bread.

01:16:19 - 01:16:20 | Speaker 2:

Yeah, and we put it in the center.

01:16:20 - 01:16:24 | Speaker 3:

Now people just buy it made. Mom made it, Will, with the fruits.

01:16:24 - 01:16:26 | Speaker 2:

It was so good. Oh, that's the best.

01:16:26 - 01:16:28 | Speaker 3:

Squeeze the water out of.

01:16:28 - 01:16:33 | Speaker 2:

All right. Well, listen, if you come to visit us anytime soon, can you make Hawaiian salad for the show?

01:16:34 - 01:16:37 | Speaker 3:

Yeah, all you got to do is get pineapple chunks.

01:16:40 - 01:16:43 | Speaker 2:

All right. Sour cream.

01:16:43 - 01:16:44 | Speaker 3:

Don't you love the pink stuff?

01:16:44 - 01:16:45 | Speaker 2:

What is the pink stuff?

01:16:46 - 01:16:47 | Speaker 3:

Oh, my God. That is the best.

01:16:47 - 01:16:48 | Speaker 2:

What is it?

01:16:49 - 01:16:51 | Speaker 3:

It's cottage cheese.

01:16:51 - 01:16:53 | Speaker 2:

Oh, my God. There's cottage cheese in there?

01:16:53 - 01:16:53 | Speaker 1:

That's your favorite.

01:16:54 - 01:16:56 | Speaker 3:

Yeah. Don't you like cottage cheese? I eat cottage cheese every day.

01:16:56 - 01:17:01 | Speaker 2:

I love cottage cheese, but I don't know if I want it in my food cell.

01:17:01 - 01:17:08 | Speaker 3:

So you take Cool Whip with strawberry jello, and you mix the stuff with the Cool Whip.

01:17:08 - 01:17:08 | Speaker 2:

Okay.

01:17:08 - 01:17:16 | Speaker 3:

And then you add cottage cheese. Then you add pineapple sauce. I'm telling you, it is the, we call it Pepto-Bismol time.

01:17:17 - 01:17:29 | Speaker 2:

That's why he was farting earlier. I love you, Pat. I'll talk to you later. Watch us on the stream. Turn the stream on and say hi. Okay, bye-bye. All right, bye-bye. It's going back and back.

01:17:30 - 01:17:39 | Speaker 1:

WKQI Detroit. WSNX Muskegon Grand Rapids. WVKS Toledo. This is Mojo in the Morning. Oh, Mojo, he's amazing.

01:17:39 - 01:17:47 | Speaker 2:

Live. Pat, do you know that Shannon's grandma is in a cooler right now with a Hawaiian salad?

01:17:49 - 01:17:50 | Speaker 1:

Mojo. Mojo. Mojo.

01:17:50 - 01:17:53 | Speaker 3:

Mojo. Mojo. Mojo. Mojo. Mojo. Mojo. Mojo. Mojo.

01:17:53 - 01:17:54 | Unknown:

Mojo. Mojo. Mojo.

01:17:54 - 01:17:55 | Speaker 1:

Mojo. Mojo. Mojo. Mojo. Mojo. Mojo. Mojo.

01:17:55 - 01:17:56 | Unknown:

Mojo. Mojo. Mojo.

01:17:56 - 01:18:07 | Speaker 1:

Two, one. Ignition sequence start. Let me take y'all back to the beginning. This is it. Everybody knows. Ready? Everybody knows the spin is dead. You're listening to Mojo in the morning. Pumpernickel, bro.

01:18:07 - 01:18:09 | Speaker 2:

You're a doo-doo hat. I love Pumpernickel.

01:18:12 - 01:18:12 | Speaker 1:

Let's go.

01:18:13 - 01:18:15 | Speaker 2:

All right, it is Mojo in the morning.

01:18:15 - 01:18:17 | Speaker 1:

Oh, that's the Albex. They call us brilliant.

01:18:17 - 01:19:13 | Speaker 2:

Yeah, Pumpernickel, the good stuff. All right, it's Mojo in the morning. Zach's got to come in studio for this next topic because this is actually a really heartwarming thing that I want to talk about with Zach. Also, I want to call Kevin out for something that he did that was completely against etiquette. We will discuss. And second date update, why are you not getting a call back after you went on a date? That's happening at 820 this morning. Our car giveaway is this week on Wednesday. Make sure that you're listening. And if you ever miss the show or have to walk away from the show because you have to go into work or wherever you head to in the morning, we want you to listen to our podcasts. They're available everywhere you get podcasts. Just search Mojo in the Morning. Plus on TikTok, check out our War of the Roses. All right, it's Mojo in the Morning show. Shannon, Kev, myself. Zach is our executive director of audio here. He's our audio executive producer. And he's an all-around great guy.

01:19:14 - 01:19:14 | Speaker 1:

Thanks.

01:19:15 - 01:20:00 | Speaker 2:

And one of the cutest things ever is when I talk to Zach on the phone, my wife and my son, Luke, love this. He actually will say, I love you, Moj. He always says that when he leaves. He is, by the way, also the greatest uncle in the world. I saw you hanging out with the nephew. Yep, yep. Did you guys go to a movie or something? Yeah, we saw Superman and spent, you know, 60 bucks on snacks, and he just fell asleep the whole time. He was knocked out. Really? Yeah, it was a great time. So did you enjoy that, or were you pissed that you paid for the movie and he slept the whole time? He's a teenager. Okay, he needs to sleep. How old is he, like 13 or something? Yeah. Is he? Okay. All right, so Zach, this is wild to say this because Lydia told me to set it up this way. Zach would like to adopt a child. Yes. Yeah. Would you want to?

01:20:00 - 01:20:04 | Speaker 1:

Why do you want to have Zach as your dad? I mean, if we're going to the movies eating $60 snacks, I mean, why not?

01:20:05 - 01:20:13 | Speaker 4:

But you don't want to adopt a child as, like, your son or daughter. You want to adopt a brother, right? You want to get a big brother?

01:20:13 - 01:20:18 | Speaker 5:

I mean, my ultimate goal in life is I do want to adopt and, you know, be a dad to someone.

01:20:19 - 01:20:23 | Speaker 4:

Why do you not want to sow the seed and get yourself, like, get some girl knocked up?

01:20:23 - 01:20:38 | Speaker 5:

That's later, but I think I want to, like, I don't know. It's a full circle moment. So, like, if you don't know, my mom passed and then my sister was my legal guardian growing up. And I think for me to give back in my life, I feel like that's what I want to do.

01:20:38 - 01:20:43 | Speaker 3:

This is so much about you, Zach, because you were young when your mom passed away, right?

01:20:43 - 01:20:45 | Speaker 4:

Yeah, I was 11. Okay. Wow. Yeah.

01:20:46 - 01:20:46 | Speaker 3:

Yeah.

01:20:46 - 01:21:07 | Speaker 4:

That, by the way, let's not gloss over that because that's a huge moment. You know, I literally just talked to my sister just a couple minutes ago. That was the person that raised me as a kid. you were 11 years old when your mother died yep and dad was out of the picture so mom was all you knew yeah and it was you and your sister and your sister took on the responsibilities at how old of

01:21:07 - 01:21:19 | Speaker 5:

an age was she so she's 11 years older than me so uh by the time i was taking care of my uh my mom she was in college so yeah she was 21 when she first took care of me dude just kind of that

01:21:19 - 01:21:34 | Speaker 4:

makes me cry like that makes me cry just with joy over the fact that she she took care of you 20 20 something can you man honestly can you imagine that when you're 21 years old you're thinking about your first legal alcohol alcoholic beverage she's thinking about how her brother's

01:21:34 - 01:21:43 | Speaker 5:

going to go to school every day yeah and she was living in a different state so like she had to move back to michigan wow to come take care of me so like did she move into your mom's house

01:21:44 - 01:21:45 | Speaker 3:

No. Did you get to stay at home or no?

01:21:45 - 01:22:01 | Speaker 5:

We ended up moving. So it's a long story, but during the process of her coming, moving back to Michigan, I ended up staying with my aunt for about six months while she was in the process of moving back. And then she bought a house or we went to an apartment and stuff. Yeah.

01:22:01 - 01:22:27 | Speaker 4:

Wow. Zach, in the last year or two years, has gotten a full-time job. Oh, yeah. Got his benefits. Got a new car. Give me a horn. Now, I should. Yeah. Yeah. He also got himself a new apartment by himself, so he doesn't live with anybody. And so this is a moment where you feel like you have been put up on your feet in a way that you want to be able to help out somebody else that maybe doesn't have somebody like yourself.

01:22:27 - 01:22:39 | Speaker 5:

That's exactly what it is. I think it's time to finally give back. But however, I'm not ready to adopt and fully commit. So I think the next best thing is to be a big brother. Wow. And that's kind of the goal.

01:22:39 - 01:22:39 | Speaker 3:

Like big brothers, big sisters?

01:22:40 - 01:22:52 | Speaker 5:

Exactly. I just don't, I don't, that's kind of why I wanted to bring this up. I don't know. One, I'm nervous that I won't be good enough. But two, I don't know how to even start or like the beginning stages.

01:22:52 - 01:22:59 | Speaker 1:

The good enough thing, I think the majority of the time, the best thing you can be is there. Oh, yeah.

01:22:59 - 01:22:59 | Speaker 5:

For sure.

01:22:59 - 01:23:00 | Speaker 1:

Like your presence.

01:23:01 - 01:23:01 | Speaker 5:

Yeah.

01:23:01 - 01:23:16 | Speaker 1:

And then once they see somebody in their life that's chosen them, that's a big thing in the world. And consistent. Yes. the consistency of showing up and being chosen and i'm worth just like you think that you aren't good enough there are a lot of kids out there that don't feel good enough but to know that they

01:23:16 - 01:23:30 | Speaker 5:

had somebody that chose them yeah that's all you need sometimes well yeah let's talk about i i am also nervous that uh i mean we're super busy it's i'm nervous that uh i i can't commit i want to

01:23:30 - 01:24:05 | Speaker 4:

commit but like i you know what but even a little tiny bit of time you're a busy guy then what you you you need balance and i've often often thought about this with you like you know how you go to do the bowling team and stuff like that you need to do that because otherwise honestly you're going to burn yourself out yeah and and you figure out a way to do it yeah like you figure out a way if when chelsea always tells this to me all the time when you say yes to everybody you're saying no to yourself yeah so you got to learn how to say yes to yourself and this is something that you really want you got to do it and say no to others yeah but i do you have a criminal past no no okay

01:24:05 - 01:24:24 | Speaker 3:

i want to connect you with with one of my my best guy friend mikey has he's been a big brother for um big brothers big sisters of indiana for like 15 years to the same kid and now the kid has has graduated and he he's still like a mentor to him it's such a beautiful thing seriously you said

01:24:24 - 01:24:28 | Speaker 5:

something about indiana so he lives in indiana or yeah but look there's one i just looked big

01:24:28 - 01:24:33 | Speaker 3:

brothers big sisters of southeastern michigan we've had them in the studio with us before

01:24:33 - 01:24:37 | Speaker 4:

and not recently but there's got to be somebody listening that look at this work with them there

01:24:37 - 01:24:43 | Speaker 2:

are 156 little brothers waiting for a big brother right now i'll take all 156 let's go well and the

01:24:43 - 01:26:24 | Speaker 4:

and the other thing honestly can i also recommend this um uh kev's uh x cherelle does uh you know a great foundation that helps that these kids, their dads and moms or both sometimes are incarcerated. I'm sure that there's ways that you can help with that. That's pure heart. Can I say something real quick about you? And I want listeners to know this. This guy is legit. Like when I talk about people, like there are certain people that you look at and you go, this person is a really, really amazing person. This guy is one of the most legit people I've ever met in my life. Thank you so much. You being here with us on our show has been such an unbelievably positive thing for us because you give us the ability to be able to have somebody around us that has, like, literally a legit heart. And I think that one of the problems we have in this world is we've got sometimes people that want to help, but then they kind of go, eh, whatever, you know, the deal is, you know, I'm a little too busy. you're a guy that is legit in your life and your life has a an amazing story like the fact that you've gone through what you've gone through and then you want to pay it forward for sure because sometimes people would sit there and stew in the the fact that your mom died oh i've been stewing for a while though so i'm not gonna lie but can i be honest it's amazing i love you man i really do love you i love you moge a mallory what's going on mallory uh first time long time

01:26:24 - 01:26:53 | Speaker 2:

and i was just gonna say like he should be a mentor there are so many different school districts where he can you know volunteer in elementary schools they love having like adult mentorships for kids who do not have that like adult relationship at home either if it was due to a family death or if you know they just don't have like that support system if you know of any

01:26:53 - 01:27:09 | Speaker 4:

please text us okay anybody knows of any like text us links to uh organizations that or or actually names of people that zach should call like with phone numbers on it um and obviously we'll do research too all of us will do research on this what's up brian

01:27:09 - 01:27:56 | Speaker 3:

Hey, good morning, guys. I just want to let Zach know that if he's going to do this, don't doubt yourself. Stepping up to the plate and being willing to do this is enough self-reassurance that you're good enough to do so. The biggest thing about doing something like this is the commitment and the follow-through because most of these children don't have somebody to make, you know, complete their promises and whatnot. So if you tell somebody you're going to be there to pick them up, be there to pick them up, be there. You know, beyond that, as long as you follow through with a commitment and your promises, you're good enough no matter what you do, man. You know, it's a great thing.

01:27:57 - 01:28:02 | Speaker 4:

You sound kind of like you speak from experience. Have you entered this program or, like, where does your knowledge come from?

01:28:02 - 01:28:45 | Speaker 3:

no uh so i've i grew up with both of my parents but uh both of my parents were really young um they they uh you know struggled raising me a little bit and uh um elder people stepping up and doing things for me and making sure i had opportunities and other things like that really really played a big impact so um i never actually had to experience one of these programs per se But it's definitely big, you know, and I'm a softie for kids at heart. So anytime anybody's willing to step up for the kids, that just touches me, you know.

01:28:45 - 01:28:58 | Speaker 4:

That's great. It's cool of you to call, Brian. 844-MOJO-LIVE, 844-665-6548. Our text is 95500. We're getting texts from people with organizations. Terry, what's up? Hi.

01:28:59 - 01:29:00 | Speaker 1:

Hey, how you doing?

01:29:00 - 01:29:01 | Speaker 4:

Good. What's going on?

01:29:01 - 01:29:57 | Speaker 1:

um i am calling because high school social worker here so i can't tell you how important this is and zach you're amazing for doing this and stepping up but um there are so many kids that need someone in their life um to mentor them someone who is starting their path working their way to success um my my son he's he's 21 and he could really use someone like this in his life because since his dad and I divorced about six, seven years ago, he's felt an estrangement and an abandonment from him, and he really needs, you know, a positive male figure in his life. Like, I've since remarried, and he and my current husband have a really good relationship. But to have somebody who's a little bit younger, who's just starting out, someone who could, like, relate to not having that presence in their life is really helpful.

01:29:57 - 01:29:59 | Speaker 4:

and it's funny because I'm

01:30:00 - 01:30:25 | Speaker 3:

picturing zach with even younger kids like teenage kids or younger and stuff but a 21 year old you don't even realize when you're 21 years old and you've had a rough life that sometimes you just need a friend um yeah zach might be a bad influence friend on him that that kid could go to the library pub with him and i don't necessarily but that no that's that's uh it's interesting have you know contact us and maybe even maybe even him just sitting in the studio with us and hanging

01:30:25 - 01:30:37 | Speaker 4:

out one day that's interesting too though because that's probably a forgotten age where people yeah like you're a quote-unquote an adult you got to figure it out yeah or you should have it figured out but sometimes you still need a don't at that time yeah you know what you should do by the way

01:30:37 - 01:30:46 | Speaker 3:

i was thinking about this with you cav me yeah during the school year you should have him big brother josiah and drive him to school and pick him up every single day for you so that you can

01:30:46 - 01:30:51 | Speaker 4:

say less i have a big brother cab too when i wake him up for the show

01:30:51 - 01:30:57 | Speaker 3:

you know where i live toya knows about big brothers big sisters and you can help us toya right

01:30:57 - 01:32:11 | Speaker 1:

hey y'all what's up um i definitely can i've been volunteering with big brothers big sisters for about six years now and they have um different facets of their program and so a couple things i want to share and i won't take a lot of time but um a couple things that is they have uh programs that they do like with partnering with schools and so you will go like once every like once or twice a month and you will go to a particular school and volunteer and do the big brother setting in the school they also have it where you can do it outside the school so it's not with the school but you just do the program and the biggest thing I will say is don't try to over commit or like try to like spend like a bunch of money trying to like impress the kids it's really just about the time and finding topics that they relate to so even if it is just once a month or twice a month that's great commit to that don't overly commit because then you'll end up disappointing uh you yourself or feeling bad and and disappointing the kid and then the last thing i'll share um mojo have you guys ever considered doing kind of like mojo's mentors that's a great idea we used to do

01:32:11 - 01:32:15 | Speaker 3:

time team and that's a great idea that's an awesome idea yeah and i like because and even

01:32:15 - 01:32:32 | Speaker 1:

though you guys are busy you guys have a lot of people you partner with i mean you guys had a hundred people apply for one position so people are maybe with another zero yeah yeah they may be willing to come together with you all to do that toya you bring up such an amazing you bring

01:32:32 - 01:33:49 | Speaker 3:

up such an amazing thing and by the way hold on because lydia's gonna get some information from you about the people that you've talked to at big brothers but let me just say this to you the once a month thing is realistic real you know you you have to have achievable goals if the goals aren't achievable then they're not they're not good goals an achievable goal is once a month that's a great thing and you give this kid in yourself something to look forward to every single month and you got it on the calendar it's a great when i coached uh basketball and i was coaching obviously my sons but then i started coaching i got asked by a teacher bob piles at our Lady of Refuge to coach, and my kid wasn't going to be on the team. And he's like, hey, these kids would get such an influence out of you. The fact that I would walk in there and I would be hanging out, they all loved the fact that it was the coach that was on the radio. They will love that with you. But also the other thing, too, is it gave me more joy to do than these kids got joy out of it. Because there is nothing better than seeing that they wouldn't have a coach or who knows, it would be some guy that has five different teams that he's coaching that he can't give 100% to. So that's awesome. And the other thing, too, is they're hot moms. So maybe there's a hot mom. What if he ends up dating one of the moms? That would be incredible. Wouldn't that be crazy? That would be, like, great. But that's not the goal. That's not the goal. Maybe not the 100% goal.

01:33:50 - 01:33:56 | Speaker 2:

One and done on the dating, eh? Why no second date? Second date update happens at 820. Mom, Mojo in the morning.

01:33:57 - 01:34:31 | Speaker 3:

All right, it is Mojo in the morning. We're going to get second date update on here in a second. But I got to bring something up here real quick first. I want to know the etiquette to arriving at a party because somebody on our show, I think, committed a bad etiquette moment. And I would like to call them out. We were invited to the graduation for Walker Reynolds, who is the son of our friend Jamie Reynolds, Dr. Jamie Reynolds from Reynolds Orthodontics.

01:34:31 - 01:34:32 | Speaker 4:

Shout out, Walker.

01:34:32 - 01:35:00 | Speaker 3:

And Walker just graduated from school in, I think it was South Lyon School or one of those schools. I don't know. I don't know. He's going to Michigan, though. I know that. Go blue. Huh? Go blue. He's a great kid. Well, he had his graduation party, and Jamie threw the graduation party at his house and invited us. And this is where it gets funny. The graduation party was from 3 until like 7 o'clock on the invitation.

01:35:00 - 01:35:04 | Speaker 5:

Kevin, can you tell everybody what time you showed up to the graduation party?

01:35:05 - 01:35:11 | Speaker 4:

Probably like 12.30. Like 12.31.

01:35:11 - 01:35:17 | Speaker 3:

I went before I came to yours. Wait, what? And I feel like you came to my dad's early.

01:35:18 - 01:35:30 | Speaker 5:

He went to the graduation party at 12.30. The graduation party didn't start until 3. When you showed up at the graduation party, what was Dr. Reynolds doing? He was still filling up the cooler with ice.

01:35:32 - 01:35:41 | Speaker 4:

Was he shocked when he saw you? Yeah, he was shocked. Look, Dan, if you do, Dan, if you don't. I can't show up to work if I'm late. I can't go to a party early.

01:35:41 - 01:35:50 | Speaker 3:

Jesus Christ. People that show up to parties early, though, are, you are my cousin, Renee. Listen. Dinner's at four. She shows up at noon. Listen, Josiah was. We're still grocery shopping.

01:35:51 - 01:35:53 | Speaker 4:

Josiah had a little cold. He was a little under the weather.

01:35:53 - 01:35:54 | Speaker 3:

Yeah.

01:35:54 - 01:36:09 | Speaker 4:

I know I had, I wanted to stop at your place. Josiah needed to get his hair washed. So in my mind, I'm like, boom, boom, boom. I got to do one, two, three. And I didn't realize because I didn't look at the invitation that it started at 3 o'clock. In my mind, it started at like 1.

01:36:09 - 01:36:10 | Speaker 5:

Yeah.

01:36:10 - 01:36:14 | Speaker 4:

So I was going to go to his house, and I didn't want to just not go.

01:36:14 - 01:36:45 | Speaker 5:

All right, so here's the question I asked. You've heard of fashionably late, which is usually when somebody shows up well after the party has begun. is they're a fashionably early. What's worse, the person that shows up to the party at 1 o'clock for the 3 o'clock start, or 12.30 in this case, or the person that shows up if the party ends at 7, they're there at 8.30 knocking on the door when everybody's getting ready to put everything away, which is better.

01:36:45 - 01:36:58 | Speaker 3:

I will say if the party's already ended and I want to be done and go to bed, I hate you. If you come that early, I also hate you, but at least I'm going to give you some stuff to do. And you can help.

01:36:58 - 01:37:04 | Speaker 4:

It was now, it was then or never. I chose then. Either I'm going to show up early with a card or I'm not going to come at all.

01:37:05 - 01:37:39 | Speaker 5:

The best was Chels. So Chels goes, he showed up at what time? And she goes, oh, my God. She goes, I would have killed him if he showed up that early. And it reminded us of when Fletch did this at our house. Notorious. Fletch would come over. Like, we would have people over, and it would be like, hey, come on over. We're going to hang out. We're going to, you know, have drinks. We're going to go out, you know, on a boat and stuff. And Fletch would show up, like, two hours beforehand and want to watch TV. And Chelsea literally was, like, getting ready to go into the shower, answers the door and goes, wait in the car for a second, bro.

01:37:40 - 01:37:53 | Speaker 4:

You know the craziest part, though, is I'm showing up to see Walker, his son, because it's his party. He wasn't even there. He had to call Walker like, can you come home? It took like 45 minutes. I don't know what he was doing.

01:37:53 - 01:37:57 | Speaker 5:

Walker's like picking up stuff for the party probably at the party. Hey, what's up, Lisa? How you doing?

01:37:58 - 01:38:19 | Speaker 1:

Hey, how you doing? So I would totally be alarmed that you showed up early, Kevin, but the flip side, I will put your asteroid to work. Can you hear me? Yeah. I would be having you help do all the stuff that I needed done. We would be kicking it. You want a broom? Here, take a broom. When you move that cooler over there, I totally would put you to work.

01:38:20 - 01:38:21 | Speaker 5:

Yeah. You know what?

01:38:22 - 01:38:28 | Speaker 1:

But you know what? The doctor's going to remember that Kevin came, and if he helped out, he's going to remember that forever. Absolutely.

01:38:28 - 01:38:55 | Speaker 5:

Go look at the pictures, by the way. Here's the funniest thing. I want you, Lisa, to go to Mojo in the Morning's Instagram or Facebook. Look at the pictures and the difference between the pictures when Kevin was there and when I was there. There was nobody in the background of Kevin's pictures. There's all these people in the background. Dr. Renner's changed his outfit and everything. He didn't even have the same outfit on at all. What was he wearing, by the way? Was he wearing gym shorts

01:38:55 - 01:38:57 | Speaker 4:

or something? Exactly, like a beater on gym shorts.

01:38:59 - 01:39:00 | Speaker 5:

Oh my god.

01:39:00 - 01:39:03 | Speaker 4:

He was so surprised when I pulled up. That might have been

01:39:03 - 01:39:13 | Speaker 5:

one of the funniest things ever, which is so, like, it's so not stereotypical. Kevin is usually late. Late, what's up? We're on time. Keezy, what's up?

01:39:13 - 01:39:19 | Speaker 2:

hi so didn't kevin just say last week that he was complaining a friend came early to his house

01:39:19 - 01:39:27 | Speaker 3:

oh and they didn't call ahead yes oh my god you have a great memory right the only difference is

01:39:27 - 01:39:30 | Speaker 4:

i'm bringing a hundred dollars for his keys so you know what i mean

01:39:30 - 01:39:37 | Speaker 5:

not okay oh that is so funny thank you for reminding us about that hey what's up sam it's

01:39:37 - 01:39:52 | Speaker 2:

mojo in the morning hi hey i do this because then i just do a little bit of work at the beginning but then i don't feel bad about leaving like right after the party starts so kevin kudos to you buddy kudos to you that's smart way to do it so wait a second so your

01:39:52 - 01:39:58 | Speaker 5:

arrival is about your departure you're going to be departing as fast as you probably arrive right

01:39:58 - 01:39:59 | Speaker 2:

every single time

01:40:00 - 01:40:18 | Speaker 4:

single time i'm there early to help set up what do you need me to do what do you need for me like give me a list of things to do i'll bust it right out and then when people start coming you sneak out okay isn't that funny oh my god that is so funny i signed the wall first you were the first

01:40:18 - 01:40:25 | Speaker 7:

one my first placement you chose my spot the markers were still fresh full of ink good sharp

01:40:25 - 01:40:44 | Speaker 6:

01:40:44 - 01:40:51 | Speaker 2:

so my girlfriend kind of grew up with a lot of those people um but she she just told me to show

01:40:51 - 01:40:58 | Speaker 7:

up so we went together oh dallas i just missed you by about three hours and dallas will you tell

01:40:58 - 01:41:03 | Speaker 6:

him about the food and what he missed as far as the the it was the uh was the the alcohol truck

01:41:03 - 01:41:39 | Speaker 2:

there too no dallas how amazing was that it was one of the coolest things ever man the food was delicious i liked the little tailgate set up and with the bathroom connected to it oh i didn't see that it was i would have also put you to work man you would have been loading up i might have seen you on the store run hey man i'd rather have you be early than late because i mean like if i'm out doing something then hey you just you just yeah you're too early yeah you know you just leave but if i want you gone when i'm end of the night i want everybody to get the hell out

01:41:39 - 01:41:48 | Speaker 6:

my favorite is the opposite of this one is cousin russ who would come in the end probably right and then take all the food home with him?

01:41:48 - 01:41:55 | Speaker 1:

Oh, God. Well, he was the one that was there before, and he'd stay after. He was the bookend. He was the bookend.

01:41:57 - 01:42:08 | Speaker 7:

Mojo's summer of cars, cash, and gas is driven by Gordon Chevrolet in Garden City. Your chance to win happens in minutes on Mojo in the Morning. It's the second date update on Mojo in the Morning.

01:42:09 - 01:42:14 | Speaker 6:

All right. We got a second date update right now. Why are you not getting a call after you went on a date?

01:42:14 - 01:42:23 | Speaker 4:

Laney wants to know hey Laney how did you guys meet hi so we met on Instagram he DM'd me oh

01:42:23 - 01:42:39 | Speaker 6:

you know those are always good ones because it's kind of like him looking at you and seeing what you're all about and then him sliding in and trying to get a date with you so it's not like a dating app where the guy's going on a ton of different ones so did you guys have a good time

01:42:39 - 01:42:40 | Speaker 3:

It's all kind of organic.

01:42:41 - 01:42:41 | Speaker 6:

Yeah.

01:42:42 - 01:42:48 | Speaker 3:

Yeah, you know, like we went to Putt-Putt. We got ice cream. I thought we had a nice time. That's a cute first date.

01:42:48 - 01:42:56 | Speaker 6:

That is good. I like the idea of something like Putt-Putt because I think everybody can Putt-Putt. And if you can't Putt-Putt, then you have them help you Putt-Putt. Right?

01:42:56 - 01:43:01 | Speaker 7:

And I feel like going back to your first point, dating app, the only people you see are the people that are served.

01:43:01 - 01:43:02 | Speaker 6:

Yeah.

01:43:02 - 01:43:04 | Speaker 7:

If it's Instagram, I had to go to your profile and choose you.

01:43:05 - 01:43:05 | Speaker 6:

You know what I mean?

01:43:05 - 01:43:06 | Speaker 7:

I kind of like that.

01:43:06 - 01:43:10 | Speaker 6:

And he didn't call you back after one date or a couple of dates?

01:43:11 - 01:43:15 | Speaker 4:

No, it was literally just one date and totally radio silence.

01:43:15 - 01:43:19 | Speaker 6:

Not a message? Nothing like, hey, I'm busy? None of that?

01:43:20 - 01:43:22 | Speaker 4:

Nope. And no DMs on Instagram.

01:43:23 - 01:43:28 | Speaker 6:

Will is on the phone with us right now. Will, will you say hello to Lainey?

01:43:30 - 01:43:30 | Speaker 5:

Hello.

01:43:34 - 01:43:34 | Speaker 3:

Hi. Hi.

01:43:35 - 01:43:45 | Speaker 6:

All right. All right. Will, what's going on, buddy? What's happening here? Why are we not calling Lainey back, at least to give her an explanation?

01:43:47 - 01:43:58 | Speaker 5:

Well, I probably owed her that. But I just think we're kind of like not, we're probably like not a perfect fit, you know. So she's a cool chick, but like.

01:43:59 - 01:44:03 | Speaker 6:

Not a perfect fit. Did you think she was attractive?

01:44:04 - 01:44:06 | Speaker 5:

Yeah, uh-huh, yeah.

01:44:06 - 01:44:07 | Speaker 1:

So what's not a good fit?

01:44:07 - 01:44:14 | Speaker 6:

Was she fun to talk to? Was she, like, yeah. Saying not a good fit just sounds like he's... That's very vague. BS.

01:44:15 - 01:44:32 | Speaker 5:

Yeah. I guess, well, for me, I kind of want somebody with, like, a better line of work, like a better job, something in the medical field or something, just like, I don't know, somebody with more going in that department.

01:44:32 - 01:44:33 | Speaker 6:

What do you do, Laney?

01:44:34 - 01:44:52 | Speaker 3:

um i'm a teacher so what is it i'm just confused because like men are always saying like you know they want to provide for women and then you know here's the chance i guess to provide for one

01:44:52 - 01:45:00 | Speaker 5:

shouldn't you be providing i mean that's a traditional way of thinking i kind of like

01:45:00 - 01:45:03 | Speaker 3:

I like the idea of two big incomes, though, you know?

01:45:03 - 01:45:03 | Speaker 4:

Yeah.

01:45:04 - 01:45:05 | Speaker 3:

I could have brought that.

01:45:06 - 01:45:15 | Speaker 4:

So hold on a second. So when you're dating, Will, as a 30-something, I'm guessing, right? How old are you? Yeah. 34.

01:45:16 - 01:45:21 | Speaker 5:

What do you do? Did I miss that? Yeah. Will, what's your occupation?

01:45:23 - 01:45:25 | Speaker 3:

I'm an RN, so I'm in the medical field.

01:45:25 - 01:45:50 | Speaker 4:

Okay. Gotcha. So, Will, you're a 34-year-old RN, and you're thinking to yourself, I'm going out on a date, I find out that this woman is a teacher, that's not the occupation that, to me, I want to be with for that date, or you don't want to be with in the future. Like, you're actually already thinking about, like, marrying and what it would be like to actually have a two-income family of a teacher and an RN?

01:45:50 - 01:45:59 | Speaker 3:

yeah kind of and i mean not that'd be the end of the world but i was kind of i kind of want to build

01:45:59 - 01:46:04 | Speaker 4:

a little bit bigger than that as materialistic what do you want her to be what are you hoping

01:46:04 - 01:46:16 | Speaker 3:

that she is interesting i don't know like another rn i mean even like the traveling nurses now can make hundreds a year and then we have two of those incomes and then we can kind of do whatever we

01:46:16 - 01:46:23 | Speaker 4:

want how about a doctor would you like it like that high would you like it like making it yeah A lawyer. Are you okay with lawyers? Are you okay?

01:46:23 - 01:46:28 | Speaker 3:

Well, it depends. Are we a court of, you know, the state of the planet? Okay, I mean.

01:46:29 - 01:46:34 | Speaker 4:

That's interesting. I've never known anybody that would date somebody and say, I'm not going to date. Like, especially.

01:46:35 - 01:46:46 | Speaker 6:

No, if you had zero drive, zero aspiration, that's one thing. But, like, she knows what she wants to do. Yeah. It's just not what he wants her to do.

01:46:47 - 01:47:02 | Speaker 5:

I feel like I agree with y'all. But at the same time, I feel like the conversation would be a lot different if she was on the other foot. I feel like we'd be looking at if she was out like, yeah, he's a blank and I want him to be big. He's a nurse. Like, yeah, I don't want to date a guy who's a nurse. Yeah, I feel like y'all would be like, I understand.

01:47:03 - 01:47:06 | Speaker 6:

But I wouldn't. I actually, you say that.

01:47:07 - 01:47:18 | Speaker 4:

I do agree with Kevin on that. And I think that that's actually a really good point. That I think the stereotype to me would be more common that a woman might look at the guy's occupation as maybe he doesn't make enough money.

01:47:19 - 01:47:20 | Speaker 6:

But we would never let that slide.

01:47:21 - 01:47:22 | Speaker 4:

No, we shouldn't let it.

01:47:22 - 01:47:34 | Speaker 5:

I think we shouldn't let either of them slide. I don't think y'all would call it out like y'all are doing right now. Like, if she was like, I want someone that will provide and I want someone to take care of y'all, I'd be like, okay. Listeners will call and say she was a gold digger.

01:47:34 - 01:47:37 | Speaker 4:

Here, hold on. In two seconds. Andrea, what do you think about this?

01:47:38 - 01:47:46 | Speaker 2:

So, I just had a question. Before he went on the date, did he not know, like, from her Instagram or just from conversation that she was a teacher?

01:47:46 - 01:47:54 | Speaker 3:

it honestly didn't it didn't really come up um i if she said it i missed it or something but

01:47:54 - 01:47:58 | Speaker 2:

it's not on her instagram anywhere well if it's so important maybe you could ask

01:47:58 - 01:48:05 | Speaker 3:

well i don't know i don't know what you say like i didn't vet her enough or something yeah i guess

01:48:05 - 01:48:11 | Speaker 4:

i guess you probably should have talked about that in the dms what's going on bill hi it's

01:48:11 - 01:48:16 | Speaker 1:

mojo in the morning hey mojo how are you guys oh my god is that your real voice

01:48:16 - 01:48:18 | Speaker 4:

That is amazing. What's up?

01:48:18 - 01:48:20 | Speaker 1:

Come on, you know that's me, man.

01:48:20 - 01:48:27 | Speaker 4:

I'm sorry, but it says Bill up here. It doesn't say Bill with the big balls. What's going on? Can we call him big balls, Bill?

01:48:28 - 01:48:28 | Speaker 1:

Lydia?

01:48:29 - 01:48:33 | Speaker 4:

I love this laugh. What's going on, big balls, Bill?

01:48:34 - 01:48:49 | Speaker 1:

Yeah, so, I mean, seriously, man, this dude is a butthole, man. You don't date a person for what they do. You date them for who they are. Yeah, I agree with you. That's right. Just hearing him say butthole. I don't know where this guy came from, but he needs to hurry up and go find himself. I know that's right.

01:48:51 - 01:49:15 | Speaker 4:

I love that, Bill. Yeah, Bill, thank you, buddy. I appreciate your call. Lydia, change his name up there as Big Balls Bill. Have a nice day. I got a couple of questions that I just want to personally ask before I grab more calls on this one here. Is that something that should come up? Like, what is your occupation and what do you make? Like, do people ask that question?

01:49:15 - 01:49:17 | Speaker 6:

I would never ask somebody what they make.

01:49:17 - 01:49:38 | Speaker 4:

Like, to me, that would be wild to know that. And then also to ask this question, if you saw somebody that was really hot and then you found out that the person was in an occupation where they weren't making a crazy amount of money or enough to be able to be supporting you, would you stop dating somebody based on that? Is there anybody that's never done that?

01:49:38 - 01:49:51 | Speaker 5:

I agree with Bill. Money can come and go. Careers can come and go. The world can change. There are jobs that are jobs now that weren't jobs 10, 15 years ago. And I think you've got to find the person for who they are because that's what will last longer.

01:49:52 - 01:49:56 | Speaker 4:

Texter here says, this guy is Gaylord Fokker.

01:49:58 - 01:49:59 | Speaker 3:

I forgot about that.

01:50:00 - 01:50:07 | Speaker 6:

What's going on, Becky? You're a nurse fucker? What's going on? Hello? Hi, Becky.

01:50:07 - 01:50:18 | Speaker 3:

Oh, I'm an MP, and our N does not make that much money. So he can't be putting down the future.

01:50:19 - 01:50:22 | Speaker 6:

Well, what's going on, buddy? I want to see your tax returns.

01:50:22 - 01:50:27 | Speaker 4:

Well, maybe he wants a sugar mama. Maybe he wants somebody that earns more than him.

01:50:27 - 01:50:29 | Speaker 6:

Ashton, what's going on? It's Mojo in the Morning.

01:50:30 - 01:50:40 | Speaker 4:

What's up? I was just calling to say this guy is totally in the right. I just feel like people are not used to a man, like the man side, having this type of standard.

01:50:41 - 01:50:44 | Speaker 6:

So it's okay for him to have these standards about her occupation?

01:50:46 - 01:50:51 | Speaker 4:

Yeah, of course. Like Kevin said, if it was reversed, nobody would bet an eye.

01:50:52 - 01:51:00 | Speaker 6:

I do agree with Kevin on that one and you on that too. I think that if this was a woman calling out a guy's occupations.

01:51:00 - 01:51:04 | Speaker 4:

But we've had that before. And everybody in two seconds calls her a gold digger and petty.

01:51:05 - 01:51:06 | Speaker 6:

Dustin, hello.

01:51:07 - 01:51:27 | Speaker 5:

Hey, what's up? Hey, I agree with the guy 100%. You know, if you guys are both equal making good money, the world is yours. Yeah. There's no sky on it where if you got a girl that doesn't want to go to work or pay your bills or anything. And then, you know, I just agree with the guy. I think that's how everything should be.

01:51:28 - 01:52:14 | Speaker 6:

Yeah. I have to tell you that I'm thinking about this right now with, like, my wife, Chelsea. And when we started dating, her dad did not like I was a DJ. It had nothing to do with what I had as far as earning potential. But I was making, like, $20,000 a year, or less than $20,000 a year, like, with all the stuff. And I think about that right now. And I think to myself, you don't know what a person's potential is. I mean, she's a teacher now. Oh, she could be an inventor, you know, of something. Never know. You'd have no clue. Like, you know, Chelsea put her money on this horse, and this horse came through. Hey, it was Seabiscuit. Did you just name? I tried. I don't know if it came all right. Didn't have that on the bingo card today. Now, I want to hear you go, yay. Liz, what's up?

01:52:16 - 01:52:17 | Speaker 2:

Hey, guys.

01:52:17 - 01:52:18 | Speaker 6:

What's up, Liz?

01:52:18 - 01:52:30 | Speaker 2:

First time long crying. What do you think about this, Liz? I think if he wants to date a nurse so bad, he should just date somebody he meets at work.

01:52:31 - 01:52:33 | Speaker 6:

Yeah, that's where he should be meeting him, not on Instagram, right?

01:52:34 - 01:52:46 | Speaker 2:

Yeah, yeah. I think it's kind of crazy that he thinks he's like some millionaire that wants to meet another millionaire, but then he's like, oh, but not a lawyer. Let me just, I want a nurse.

01:52:47 - 01:52:48 | Speaker 6:

Can I tell you something?

01:52:48 - 01:52:49 | Speaker 2:

Look for a nurse.

01:52:49 - 01:53:38 | Speaker 6:

We have texters right now texting, I'm in medical sales. I would love to get this guy's number. Another one here, I work at Michigan Medicine. I would love to meet him. I actually make great money. I mean, look at all these people that are contacting, saying that they actually like the idea of Will. I don't know if the guy pool is that bad, but there are people that would really like to date Will even after his comments that he made about you, Lainey. Lainey, I think I mean I think Listen, I'm going to say this to you First off, Lainey's beautiful We just saw the pictures of Lainey that Lydia and Bianca sent to us I think, Lainey, you're better off I think this is one of those ones where you go into it And you go, God, I wish I could get another date out of him But I think if Will's standards are this I think that you're better off Joy, what's up?

01:53:39 - 01:53:46 | Speaker 1:

Thank you I agree with him Because in today's economy I mean, you need two incomes.

01:53:46 - 01:53:47 | Speaker 6:

Yeah.

01:53:47 - 01:53:53 | Speaker 1:

So, but I don't agree that he didn't ask her what she did before he went out on a date.

01:53:53 - 01:53:54 | Speaker 6:

Yeah.

01:53:54 - 01:53:58 | Speaker 1:

For that part, that's very important to ask somebody before you go for work.

01:53:58 - 01:54:26 | Speaker 6:

And even if he didn't ask her, then he should have at least called her back and said, hey. And honestly, I wouldn't even tell her the real reason that that's the case. Yeah. I would lie and just say, you know what? And I'm just, because I don't want to break somebody's heart that way. He ain't breaking her heart. Her heart, she doesn't seem heartbroken. Yeah. She about to get with Billy, the PE teacher, have a good night. No. And the teacher's lunch. Would you date another teacher, Lainey?

01:54:28 - 01:54:31 | Speaker 3:

I sure would. That's right. I would not have a problem with that.

01:54:31 - 01:54:43 | Speaker 6:

She dating for love. How about a radio DJ? We've got plenty of single ones here. Zach is a great guy. If you ain't looking to mentor, bring one of them kids. Come on.

01:54:44 - 01:54:47 | Speaker 3:

I'll give you my Instagram. You can slide in there, too. All right.

01:54:47 - 01:54:58 | Speaker 6:

Mojo in the Morning's Dirty on the 30.

01:55:35 - 01:55:38 | Speaker 5:

I just saw a bottle of Woodford walking down the hall.

01:55:38 - 01:55:38 | Speaker 7:

What? Woodford?

01:55:38 - 01:55:40 | Speaker 5:

I don't know where that's going.

01:55:40 - 01:55:42 | Speaker 7:

Is that fancy burb scotch?

01:55:42 - 01:55:48 | Speaker 5:

It's a bourbon, a very expensive bourbon, and I think that it was going to a J Towers party that is happening here this morning.

01:55:48 - 01:55:50 | Speaker 7:

Make sure that they didn't swipe it from our bar cart.

01:55:50 - 01:55:58 | Speaker 5:

By the way, I'm telling you, if anybody steals anything more from the studio, We lost headphones the other day, and I just bought some new headphones for the studio.

01:55:58 - 01:56:00 | Speaker 7:

Lydia labeled them with a label maker.

01:56:00 - 01:56:09 | Speaker 5:

All right. And I think we should put them in positions. I don't know if you guys want to use them, because we'll leave them there. And if anybody, the way we know if they're stolen is if they're not in front of that microphone.

01:56:09 - 01:56:13 | Speaker 6:

I thought Woodford was like a joke. Like a Malone.

01:56:14 - 01:56:14 | Speaker 2:

Woodford.

01:56:14 - 01:56:22 | Speaker 6:

I thought they were like stiff or something. I don't know. Woodford. I was preparing myself for you to say something like, okay, this is a D's nuts type of joke. Oh, like a D's nuts?

01:56:22 - 01:56:26 | Speaker 5:

Yeah, I was like, Woodford, where is this going? No.

01:56:28 - 01:56:38 | Speaker 7:

All right, it has been almost a week, and we all still cannot get enough of the Coldplay affair scandal. Why are they so pissed? Oh, look at these two.

01:56:38 - 01:57:07 | Speaker 1:

It's the Kiss Cam moment seen around the world. Either they're having an affair or they're just very shocked. Married CEO Andy Byron and the head of his company's HR department, Kristen Cabot caught cuddled up on camera at a Coldplay concert outside Boston. The clip now sparking numerous spoofs. The mascots for the Philadelphia Phillies seen on the Jumbotron poking fun at the moment. Some experts say the video struck a nerve with so many because of the

01:57:07 - 01:57:20 | Speaker 2:

parties involved. So why this matters to the average person is a sense of justice. They're wondering what if I violated these rules? What would happen to me? There wouldn't even be a hesitation. Why was the company even doing an investigation? Can anybody else in the company

01:57:20 - 01:57:35 | Speaker 1:

do what these guys did? No, not at all. On Saturday, Byron resigned from his position at the tech company Astronomer, the company saying our leaders are expected to set the standard in both conduct and accountability. And recently, that standard was not met.

01:57:35 - 01:57:39 | Speaker 5:

What do you think about them canning them that fast? They almost had to, right?

01:57:40 - 01:57:56 | Speaker 7:

Yeah, I mean, he was put on administrative leave. I just think that unfortunately, because it went so viral that's going to follow him for a while she's never going to get a job in hr again though the hr woman as far as i know she's still there still there yeah i think that

01:57:56 - 01:58:22 | Speaker 5:

the administrative leave thing to me if they just let it go for a week or two it probably would go away nobody would be even thinking about it but i think they had to make a firing because i think that they're a company that is prominent in the uh in the area and has like a lot of uh there's been a lot of issues that now have come up even about this guy andy after the fact i was gonna say a lot of his former employees are coming forward saying stuff i saw somewhere and you

01:58:22 - 01:58:36 | Speaker 7:

don't know what's real and what's fake and this has not been confirmed to me so i'm throwing out a rumor but i did see somewhere that um a girl was like oh i worked with him at a different company and he did the he essentially did the same thing like he had an affair no no no he had

01:58:36 - 01:58:54 | Speaker 5:

an affair you know i saw i saw a guy that was on tiktok all weekend that was basically saying And he pulled funds from a group or something that he was doing. And this is all alleged. I feel for the family. I think of those teenage kids that he has.

01:58:55 - 01:58:56 | Speaker 6:

Just do the right thing, people.

01:58:56 - 01:59:19 | Speaker 7:

Okay, so this story is coming out of or coming from, I should say, the Fox affiliate in L.A., Fox 11 L.A. there's some scrutiny now and some controversy over all of the money that was raised that was supposed to go to the la fire victims people are now going where did that where did that money

01:59:19 - 01:59:31 | Speaker 4:

actually go this is a whole lot of money and you are well connected in your community and you don't know anybody who has received fire money that's correct people i know in the midwest where i'm

01:59:31 - 01:59:49 | Speaker 3:

from who said we want to give money where do we give it how can we help the people this fiery money is not helping the people it's helping non-profits many of them who have executives that are getting a six-figure salary the money is not going to the hundred million dollars money to

01:59:49 - 01:59:54 | Speaker 4:

go to in question make a great point because a lot of people wow hundred million dollars that

01:59:54 - 01:59:58 | Speaker 7:

was raised that people donated in question now do you see the other story happen in california

01:59:58 - 01:59:59 | Speaker 5:

overnight uh

02:00:00 - 02:00:22 | Speaker 4:

Do you remember the name Pat Tillman? You remember Pat Tillman? How do I know that name? Pat Tillman was the former football player for the Arizona Cardinals that quit the NFL to go over to Afghanistan, and then he died over there. His brother was arrested overnight with driving through a post office and starting a fire to burn down the post office. Why? And they found him.

02:00:23 - 02:00:24 | Speaker 1:

Mental health issue?

02:00:24 - 02:00:45 | Speaker 4:

I don't know. But it's a story that was the big lead story this morning on the news. And I was like, wow, I haven't heard the name in a while. But they found his car inside there. But they also found his belongings, which included a picture of Pat Tillman. And then he wrote graffiti on the side of the post office that they can't figure out exactly what it means.

02:00:45 - 02:00:47 | Speaker 5:

So his body, he on the loose.

02:00:47 - 02:00:50 | Speaker 4:

He actually ended up getting arrested. They ended up, I think, arresting him.

02:00:50 - 02:01:11 | Speaker 3:

If you watch Real Housewives, you know actress Denise Richards. Well, she is now in the middle of what's going to be a nasty divorce, I think. Her estranged husband, Aaron Viper, is claiming Denise cheated on him. He found some text messages between Denise and another man on her laptop.

02:01:12 - 02:01:43 | Speaker 2:

Opened her computer, and all I did is I hit refresh or upload or sync or whatever. I just hit iCloud thing, man. And it repopulated all the text communication that she deleted from her stuff. and it was jaw-dropping and i took pictures of it because i'm like what the hell is going on here you found that so that was back earlier this year and then so you essentially she said no i'm not doing it i'm not doing it i'm not doing it oh i love you please don't leave me please and then she was doing it right up until and i found it she was talking to the guy right during the surgery

02:01:43 - 02:02:10 | Speaker 3:

he also says she has a vicodin addiction so he confronted her about the affair they ultimately decided to stay together then over the fourth of july weekend had a big blow-up argument which is leading to which it has led to their divorce i should say and did you guys hear the story i thought it was fake at first but it's not about the guy who was pulled into an mri machine because he was wearing a like a 20 pound metal necklace or something crazy like that's a big huge heavy

02:02:10 - 02:02:14 | Speaker 4:

metal necklace which is funny because i i just had an mri done and i didn't realize they make

02:02:14 - 02:02:45 | Speaker 1:

you take off i did too they make you take off everything yeah everything a man pulled into an mri machine in nassau county has died new york injuries he'd been wearing a metal necklace when he entered an exam room at a place in westbury without authorization on wednesday a scan was underway so the magnets in the machine powerful magnets pulled him across the room police have not name the man but say he was a 61 year old who had accompanied a patient to that facility

02:02:45 - 02:02:55 | Speaker 5:

is that crazy can you take out all piercings like i think people who got like the like the hooks in their nose i don't know what you call that like can you take that stuff out i don't

02:02:55 - 02:03:13 | Speaker 4:

know how that works with it i know that uh i've got metal in my body because i uh had some surgeries and stuff over time and it was i guess okay because it was in my body so it didn't like it wasn't something that could leave my body but I remember that I had to disclose that I had metal. Yeah, but I don't know how that works. Some people have got

02:03:13 - 02:03:16 | Speaker 5:

like super piercings, nose, face, lips.

02:03:16 - 02:03:23 | Speaker 3:

02:03:56 - 02:03:57 | Speaker 5:

02:04:13 - 02:04:17 | Speaker 3:

No, it's going to be like 96 degrees. Is it really? Yeah, they say the heat index will be over 100.

02:04:18 - 02:04:45 | Speaker 4:

Do you think Mike will put us indoors? Remember last year there was a big storm, and they put us indoors. I kind of liked the broadcast indoors in the showroom area. Yeah. Better than out on the porch area, only because it's going to be 90 degrees, Mike. I don't know if you've heard. I don't want to be schvitzing, you know what I mean? I want to make sure that I am comfortable there. Woodford. What's up? Brian, hi. How are you?

02:04:46 - 02:04:47 | Speaker 2:

Not bad. How you doing?

02:04:48 - 02:04:50 | Speaker 4:

02:05:21 - 02:05:34 | Speaker 2:

what you calling for uh i was calling because i wanted to go back to what you were saying about Chelsea's bet on a horse. I honestly don't believe that, Mojo. You got more of a Hall of Famer out of you than she did a workhorse. That is true.

02:05:34 - 02:06:26 | Speaker 4:

That is true, yes. Shannon just jumped. Shannon just jumped when I hit that. No, that's interesting. That is so funny. By the way, Chelsea is planning like a little party for me locally here, and she was planning it this weekend, and she was saying, hey she wanted to like throw throw you know like a get together and stuff and i'm realizing this hall of fame thing is going to cost me a lot of money but i love that she wants to do that but do you remember a couple years ago she threw the party and i lost yes but that was a really fun party it was it was a fun party so she said she goes she wants to make up for that because that was the funniest thing that people were showing up going congratulations you're you know and i'm like i lost like she had she you know i think was waiting for the votes to come in and the votes

02:06:26 - 02:06:32 | Speaker 3:

didn't come in but yeah how weird was that for you no it was so all the speeches were so funny

02:06:32 - 02:06:41 | Speaker 4:

corvino said this is the first thing that mojo is lost in a long time making fun of my weight so

02:06:41 - 02:06:58 | Speaker 1:

he's not invited by the way to the park hall of famer mojo great job champ you've done a great job in your career helping the community making funny spawning radio djs and mentoring others you didn't get in for identifying talent to bring on the show hey there kev but you don't hit every

02:06:58 - 02:07:16 | Speaker 4:

shot you take here bro congrats mojo tony know that's a lie you know that's a lie too mojo in the morning oh my god uh you guys look like you had so much fun uh shannon's dad had a party over the weekend and this is an annual party that he does yeah it started off as a family reunion

02:07:16 - 02:07:48 | Speaker 3:

and for the Murphy family and then it's just it's not necessarily a family reunion anymore there's lots of friends people come by what's it called what is it so we call it the pink house party yes kev came thank you i was gonna get to that i wanted to ask about that we call it the pink house party because my dad's house when he bought it years and years ago was totally pink from the outside to the stove to the fridge to the toilet to the carpets to the paint to everything was pink So his house is the Pink House, and we call it the Pink House Party.

02:07:48 - 02:08:10 | Speaker 4:

Do you know the song, Little Pink Houses, at all? Do you know that one? I know Pink Pony Club. No. Who sings it? John Cougar Mellencamp. Oh, yeah. Little Pink Houses. Oh, yes. Is that Yacht Rock? Here it is. It's Yacht Rock. It is Yacht Rock. It's not like an F1PB commercial.

02:08:10 - 02:08:11 | Speaker 3:

He sings so many good songs.

02:08:12 - 02:08:32 | Speaker 4:

Silverado. You hang out with us, Kevin, and you're going to know all this music. Do you know the other song that he sings that's a big song? Lay it on me. Hold on a second. Real quick, and then we'll get back to it. He sings like 10. Yeah. And he hurts so good. Oh, I love hurts so good. They say that's like a top one. I Googled him. That's the first song that popped up. All right. Hold on a second. Hold on a second. We're rocking the USA. Yacht rock.

02:08:33 - 02:08:43 | Speaker 3:

I went to the farmer's market yesterday, and there was this group of like four grandpas playing, you know, their like guitars, and they were doing yacht. They were doing brandy. How do I know this?

02:08:43 - 02:08:51 | Speaker 4:

And that guy, because daddy was probably playing at the reunions. Oh, yeah, he probably was. All right, so he had a pink house back in the day.

02:08:51 - 02:08:53 | Speaker 3:

Yeah, it's not really pink anymore.

02:08:54 - 02:08:58 | Speaker 4:

Can you imagine being the neighbor of the pink house people? You'd be like, what the hell is that? What's going on over there?

02:08:59 - 02:10:52 | Speaker 3:

But it's a really fun party. People hang out all day. We had a food truck. My dad has a pool. So my dog, Charlie, is 15 and a half years old. He is my ride or die. He was with me before, as Kev says, all my husbands, all my kids, all my houses. And my dad loves Charlie. And Charlie's gone to the pink house party since its inception. And so we were kind of joking, Lucy and Smith and I, that this Charlie has to come this year because it might be his last hurrah. Again, he's going to be 16 years old this winter. So we bring Char. We let him roam around the backyard. He's not one to like run away if the gate is open or anything like that. Well, in his old age, the dog's doing pretty great. But I think that he his sight is going. So at one point in the party, it was my aunt Karen, myself, Wes, and I think one of my cousins. We were sitting kind of around the corner of the pool with our feet dangling in. And Charlie's like all around. And I think what had. happened was he saw me from across the pool and went to like walk toward me and didn't realize that it was the pool and it wasn't solid ground. And this little teeny tiny six pound dog goes in the pool. Oh my God. And starts sinking. My aunt Karen starts screaming. I don't even really know like what is happening thank god wes in true west fashion like jumps to then after this all happens and like it's a whole commotion everybody at the party is like what just happened who fell in the pool right and it was the dog and i'm like oh my god we joked about this being Charlie's last hurrah, and it could have been.

02:10:53 - 02:11:00 | Speaker 2:

That guy is, first of all, let's go back to Charlie in a second. And I want to know if there's any people that have, like, crazy, you know.

02:11:00 - 02:11:02 | Speaker 3:

Funny story now, not funny story at the moment.

02:11:02 - 02:11:26 | Speaker 2:

Yeah, dog almost died stories. How did your dog almost die? I don't know if there's any good ones there. But let's talk about Wes for a second. This guy is like, he's like. Well, you know I'm not jumping in the pool. He's like an American hero, right? What is this? He just wanted to play some music. That's what it is. This is the greatest American hero theme song. We're playing classes.

02:11:30 - 02:11:38 | Speaker 3:

Don't give him accolades here. And I'm going to tell you why. Wes. He does not deserve. I mean, he saved the dog. But here's what he said.

02:11:42 - 02:11:43 | Speaker 2:

This is Wes right now.

02:11:43 - 02:11:49 | Speaker 1:

Believe it or not I'm walking on air I never saw it

02:11:49 - 02:11:51 | Speaker 3:

Wasn't that the theme song too? A TV show?

02:11:51 - 02:11:57 | Speaker 2:

Yeah, that's the Greatest American Hero Okay

02:11:57 - 02:12:05 | Speaker 1:

That guy is unbelievable

02:12:05 - 02:12:09 | Speaker 2:

He dove in the pool For the dog And he doesn't even like the dog

02:12:09 - 02:12:11 | Speaker 3:

Yeah, that's kind of true

02:12:11 - 02:12:14 | Speaker 2:

Okay I thought that you had told us off the air that...

02:12:14 - 02:12:18 | Speaker 3:

I think Charlie's is number three out of the three dogs we have.

02:12:18 - 02:12:20 | Speaker 2:

If Charlie ever dies, you're going to actually do an autopsy.

02:12:20 - 02:12:28 | Speaker 3:

No way, so this is what I'm going to say. You're calling him a hero. And afterwards, we get home, and I'm like, oh, my God, I cannot believe that happened. I can't believe I almost lost my poor char.

02:12:28 - 02:12:29 | Speaker 2:

Was he in wet clothes in the car?

02:12:31 - 02:12:54 | Speaker 3:

No, he's fine. Everybody brought chairs and clothes. Don't stop worrying about Wes. Okay. Because here's what he says to me. He goes, honestly, Shan, He had a look in his face that was like, this is it for me. Just let me go. He wanted that dog to go. He goes, Shan, he was looking up at the heavens going, just let me go.

02:12:54 - 02:12:58 | Speaker 2:

That was his Dr. Kevorkian moment. And Wes saved him from it.

02:12:58 - 02:12:59 | Speaker 3:

Son of a bee.

02:12:59 - 02:13:03 | Speaker 2:

He knew what he was doing. The dog was committing. Yes. Basically, yeah.

02:13:03 - 02:13:07 | Speaker 3:

He goes, he wanted to go in that moment. He did it on purpose.

02:13:07 - 02:13:30 | Speaker 2:

You guys, you know what? Let the dog go. Let him go. Let him go, Wes. Let him go. Although, could you imagine your little pink party houses would never be the same? Everybody would go, oh, the pool. That's the pool. Find a cooler. Put him right next to the grandma. Erica. You are not invited to anywhere my family functions. What's going on, Erica?

02:13:32 - 02:14:48 | Speaker 1:

Hey. So my dog had a great name, and he got happy tail, which I don't know if you guys know what that is. No, explain. It's where they lift their tails around so much that it hits things, and either the tail bones break or the skin splits, or it's just a mess. So he got that, and we could not get it to heal. we tried to wrap it up when he would just rip it off and so one day i came home from work and i walk in the door and it is just a massacre there is blood everywhere and i find the dog and i'm thinking oh my god he ate one of the cats it has to be that um so i go find him and he had a little white tip on the end of his tail and that was gone wait he he lost his tail like his tail wagging it so much no he ate it oh he ate his tail oh good boy what does this turn into it started to die it was necrotic so he was trying to get rid of it oh my god that's crazy he ate it

02:14:48 - 02:14:59 | Speaker 2:

the dog ate his tail wait a second the dog ate his tail that's next love yeah that's next love I call my husband in a

02:15:00 - 02:15:08 | Speaker 1:

a panic, and he's like, just stop. So he rushes home, takes the dog to the vet, and he had to get it amputated. Oh, my God.

02:15:08 - 02:15:17 | Speaker 3:

Poor puppy. By the way, that is an unbelievable story. Who's a caller? Have you ever called us with a story before? Because that's the most amazing story I have ever heard in my life. Have I?

02:15:17 - 02:15:19 | Speaker 1:

I've called with a couple stories.

02:15:20 - 02:15:25 | Speaker 3:

Erica, I can't believe that you gave us a couple other stories before you gave us the dog ate the tail story.

02:15:25 - 02:15:28 | Speaker 1:

Well, you haven't done my dog almost died before. Well, that is true.

02:15:28 - 02:15:43 | Speaker 3:

I guess this is the first time we're doing it. That's an amazing story. Lindsay, what's going on? Shannon's poor dog, Charlie, almost went to doggy heaven but was saved, thank God, by Wes. What's going on?

02:15:44 - 02:16:34 | Speaker 1:

My dog, this past spring, we went on a family vacation to Tennessee. And you know how the hills of Tennessee and in the mountains in the Gatlinburg area are very tall. So you have, like, the three stories and then the giant cliffs off the side of the houses. Oh, geez. Well, my dog, we thought the window was closed. The window was not closed. This dog did a full-blown sprint through the window and hit the tin like the metal roof, slid down the metal roof thinking it could probably grab it, and just felt plummeted off the roof. Oh, my God. And immediately your mind goes, oh, my gosh, my dog has died. It has hit a branch. It has hit a stick. And you're afraid to look out the window. This dog was up running around like, hey. Thank God. There was, I mean, it was a straight shot. It's like an inch or two the other way, that dog would have definitely been unveiled.

02:16:35 - 02:16:43 | Speaker 3:

Wow. That's crazy. Man, that's an unbelievable story. You guys got to watch your dogs a little bit more.

02:16:43 - 02:16:46 | Speaker 2:

What are you guys doing with your dogs? You've never had this problem with cats. They be chilling.

02:16:47 - 02:16:54 | Speaker 3:

Hold on a second. I would have let the cat go. Shannon's husband, Wes, is on the phone with us right now. Let's rank the dogs in importance here, Wes.

02:16:54 - 02:16:57 | Speaker 5:

I know how he's going to rank them. I can tell you right now.

02:16:57 - 02:17:01 | Speaker 4:

Wes? Hi, guys. Sorry, you caught me at a bad time. I was folding my cape.

02:17:03 - 02:17:08 | Speaker 3:

I'm telling you, that's an amazing, you were, you're so fast to jump in the pool.

02:17:09 - 02:17:14 | Speaker 4:

It's like amazing. It was actually more looking at Shannon like, are you going to do anything?

02:17:16 - 02:17:37 | Speaker 3:

He was beside her. So, Wes, how many dogs do you guys have? You have three, four dogs? What do you have? We have three dogs, yes. And so let's do this. Hold on a second. We're going to rank the dogs on importance here right now. Which dog comes in first place?

02:17:38 - 02:17:44 | Speaker 4:

That would be Willow Pillow. We saved her life. She had a back surgery, and she's the best thing that's ever happened to her.

02:17:44 - 02:17:48 | Speaker 3:

Why is Shannon giving a face like she just snorted and farts?

02:17:48 - 02:17:49 | Speaker 5:

I disagree with his order.

02:17:50 - 02:17:55 | Speaker 3:

Okay. Yeah, she farts a lot. No, I'm talking about Shannon's got the fart look on her face.

02:17:55 - 02:17:58 | Speaker 4:

Then there's bad boy Bo. Bo would be number one when he does too many bad things.

02:17:58 - 02:18:02 | Speaker 3:

Bo is the new puppy, right? Yeah. And then Charlie is the last?

02:18:02 - 02:18:06 | Speaker 4:

I knew this. There's a crusty white dog that keeps walking around the house.

02:18:06 - 02:18:17 | Speaker 3:

Do you understand, Wes, that that is Shannon's dad's favorite dog? Like, that is his, like, love of his life. And you want to be on Tim's good side.

02:18:17 - 02:18:27 | Speaker 5:

This hero says, yeah, he goes, I feel like Charlie is smiling here. I feel like he's so happy here. I feel like Charlie wants to stay here with your dad.

02:18:28 - 02:18:30 | Speaker 4:

Kevin, did he not look happy?

02:18:31 - 02:18:56 | Speaker 3:

Mary, do you understand, though, that now that the dog almost died in Tim's pool, you'll never be able to have that dog there because that dog's going to end up dying in that pool one day, and you do not want that to happen. That would be a horrible situation. Can I ask a question about Charlie? If I remember correctly, and I don't want to bring up the ex, But didn't your ex-husband also hate that dog, too? What is up with the men in your life hating Charlie?

02:18:57 - 02:19:06 | Speaker 5:

No, for a while, he really liked him. And then now, you know, I don't even think he knows if he's dead or alive at this point. So that says something, but yeah.

02:19:06 - 02:19:14 | Speaker 3:

That's, by the way, that's horrible. What a horrible thing to not ask about the dog. Do the kids like the dog? Do Lucy and Smith like the dog?

02:19:14 - 02:19:19 | Speaker 4:

They like all the dogs, yeah. They feel bad for it. You know, they just look at it and they're like, Shut up, Wes.

02:19:20 - 02:19:24 | Speaker 3:

God, she's abusive. This is horrible. What did you witness, by the way?

02:19:24 - 02:19:27 | Speaker 4:

He's bony. It's weird to touch him. It's just weird. I know. He's old.

02:19:27 - 02:19:50 | Speaker 2:

I love him. Yeah. Her dad's basement is like Greenfield Village. Is it really? He got like 30 clocks, 45 radios. Is it true? Really? Like legit. Like they all work? I don't know. He collects them. He just likes it. It's like a time capsule down there. And then, you know, there's her grandma in the corner. Wait, hold on a second. Hold on.

02:19:50 - 02:20:00 | Speaker 3:

We had a call, Wes. I don't know if you heard this, but we had a call from a person who said that their dog ate their tail. Crystal, what did your dog...

02:20:00 - 02:20:43 | Speaker 1:

yes um so his own back like his his balls he had yeah we had taken the vet and um he had a tumor in them so we were talking to the vet about you know getting everything taken care of and they had to wrap it because it was bleeding so we brought him home and me and my husband had the wrap was bad so we decided to go get a wrap and left my son with him and we're like keep an eye him because he's obviously in pain we'll be back in like 15 minutes and by the time we got back he had because i mean he was going at him because of the tumor so there was just blood everywhere it was like the worst i'm gonna throw up too y'all ain't getting it out i'm gonna get it out

02:20:43 - 02:21:00 | Speaker 4:

hey it was yeah it's gotta go terrible yeah hey wes and kev if you could do yours wouldn't you do Come on, tell me about that. I'd never leave out. Wait, these things smell sometimes. Oh, my God. You have to work with them, not me. I'll tell you.

So, but Kevin, there's a consumer reports alert that we want to bring up here right now.

02:21:55 - 02:22:55 | Speaker 3:

I don't know if people have experienced others that they're unaware of logging into their ring apps or somehow, some way getting access to them. But a friend of mine called me and she was in a panic. I answered her phone. I'm like, hey, she's like, oh, my God, where's your, are you on your, yeah, I'm on my phone. Pull up the ring app. I'm like, all right, we'll pull the ring app. Haven't been there in a while, so I had to log back in. Then she starts to take me step by step. she's like hit the little brackets up top like okay go down to your account center like okay how many how many devices are logged in how many i'm like i see two i see one is my cell phone then i see like a safari she's like oh she's like do you know the safari i'll check the ip address because it's right there i'm like okay maybe i logged in on my phone how long ago was it it's like two months ago delete it delete it i'm like hold on a second like curse off calm down what is going on here she said that there are people in this world and i don't know who people have People have the ability to log into your ring cam and get access to watch live footage of whatever your ring cams are hooked up to and are showing.

02:22:55 - 02:22:59 | Speaker 4:

That's what Victor was telling me, that this has been going around, that people have been doing that.

02:22:59 - 02:23:30 | Speaker 3:

She logged into her ring cam. She said she's got some in the house and some outside the house, like the exterior of the show was going on in her front and back lawn. And when she logged into her account center, she noticed her cell phone, like the device. She's the only one that really sees it and monitors it with her children. But there were two other devices that she had no idea who they belonged to and why they had logged into her ring cam. And she said on social media, a lot of people have been talking about randoms and random phones or laptops getting access to your ring camera, and they can see everything that's going on.

02:23:30 - 02:23:35 | Speaker 4:

So my ring cameras are outside of my house. You have them inside of your house?

02:23:35 - 02:23:36 | Speaker 3:

I got one inside, yeah.

02:23:36 - 02:23:38 | Speaker 4:

What do you have it in there for?

02:23:38 - 02:23:42 | Speaker 3:

I don't know. In my mind, somebody's going to break in, and I'm going to be able to see it.

02:23:42 - 02:23:47 | Speaker 4:

Yeah. So are you worried that there's people looking at your bare ass walking around?

02:23:47 - 02:23:50 | Speaker 3:

Or like, you know, Josiah, you get in the kitchen at 3 in the morning.

02:23:50 - 02:23:56 | Speaker 2:

Is it more so people looking at what you're doing, or are they trying to figure out when you're home or not home?

02:23:57 - 02:24:08 | Speaker 3:

I think both. The fear is both. Yeah. To that second point, there's been a lot of burglaries happening. They can see me or not there. And then second, people just, like to his point, some people walk around naked. You can just literally look in somebody's house and see what they're doing.

02:24:09 - 02:24:11 | Speaker 2:

Now, is it only a ring? Because I have blinks.

02:24:11 - 02:24:13 | Speaker 3:

She said a ring. Yeah, she said a ring in particular.

02:24:14 - 02:24:21 | Speaker 4:

844-MOJO-LIVE, 844-665-6548. Has anybody noticed that another person's logged in?

02:24:22 - 02:24:29 | Speaker 2:

Man, that's scary, bro. That is really scary. Like someone is literally watching you all the time.

02:24:29 - 02:24:40 | Speaker 3:

We talk about people stealing your ID, people stealing your identity, getting access to your credit cards and purchasing things, but like having somebody be able to peep on you, peeping Tom?

02:24:40 - 02:24:40 | Speaker 4:

Yeah.

02:24:41 - 02:24:42 | Speaker 3:

It's a little crazy.

02:24:42 - 02:24:53 | Speaker 4:

Listening in. Do you ever go on, when Josiah's home by himself, do you ever go in on the Ring app and listen to him talking on the phone or playing video games or anything like that?

02:24:53 - 02:24:59 | Speaker 3:

I've done it to a female before. Somebody that slept over, and then I had to obviously come to work.

02:25:00 - 02:26:08 | Speaker 2:

that you see the motion sensor go off, and you can, like, see, and you can hear and listen, and I've done that before. It startled them. Hold on. Nursing Home Rob is on with us. Or Bob. Rob. Rob. Hi, Rob. How you doing? Not bad. How you doing? Good. What's going on, Rob? The only reason I called is, you know, at 5 or 6.55, you know? Yes. I bet his wife didn't show up. He couldn't do the thing, and he did show up. Wait. Oh, you're bringing back up something from earlier this morning. That's a good one. I've been trying to call on the phone all morning. No one answers the phone. Nobody's answering the phone? They call it for three hours. I call all the time. No one answers. Are you sure you're calling the right? What number are you dialing? Well, I'm calling now. I know. What number is it, though? Because I think you're dialing the wrong number. It's the normal number. I know, but nursing home, Rob, I think, though, that you're dialing the wrong number. I've not seen your name pop up on my screen at all. I'm not calling the wrong number. I got programmed in my phone. Okay. All right. Well, thank you for the call, Rob. I appreciate it. Wait, wait. What are you serving today? Who knows, Kevin?

02:26:08 - 02:26:09 | Unknown:

All right.

02:26:09 - 02:26:18 | Speaker 2:

Get that good Jell-O, my baby. What was the last meal that you ate at the home? I ain't in no home. Oh. Why your name, Nurse at Home, Rob?

02:26:18 - 02:26:22 | Speaker 1:

That's just how I differentiate. Oh, okay. You did the shortest thing.

02:26:23 - 02:26:28 | Speaker 2:

What's going on, Perry? Hi, Mojo. How are you this morning? We're good. What's going on, Perry?

02:26:29 - 02:26:37 | Speaker 3:

Well, I wanted to call in because I was on the receiving end of one of these ring camera issues with a ex. Oh, to tell.

02:26:38 - 02:26:38 | Speaker 2:

What happened?

02:26:39 - 02:27:26 | Speaker 3:

Yes. I had a fire stick that I'd taken over on ex's house, and they had an Amazon Alexa. We're using my fire stick on, you know, one TV, and they were using some stuff on another TV, and she had a ring camera with an Alexa, and I had no idea. After we broke up, came back to my house. On my fire stick, it was a month, month and a half, two months later, and I'm sitting there in the evening, and all of a sudden, a ring camera comes up on my TV at my home, and it was her ring camera. Wow. And it turned out, it took me a long time to get it figured out. She actually thought I was stalking her, But it turned out that it was something having to do with her Amazon account.

02:27:26 - 02:27:27 | Speaker 4:

Wow.

02:27:27 - 02:27:41 | Speaker 3:

And I, because I was looking for camera apps and things on my fire stick and what I ended up sourcing it or finally figuring out was the Amazon account was linked and was still on my fire stick and her ring camera. It happened more than once. Interesting.

02:27:42 - 02:27:52 | Speaker 2:

So that, that, that is interesting. You know, people don't ever change that password when they break up out of relationships and they don't realize that all their passwords especially if they use the same password for

02:27:52 - 02:28:22 | Speaker 4:

everything can be used by them what's up holly hi yes i have a friend who was on tiktok and was scrolling through tiktok and he scrolled past this guy that had a mask on and he had said something and he scrolled past him but then he went back to him and the guy could actually see through his phone he said nice comfort dude wait wait wait what so he was just scrolling on tiktok are you

02:28:22 - 02:28:25 | Speaker 2:

sure that that wasn't like one of those spoof videos where the person was trying to make it

02:28:25 - 02:28:43 | Speaker 4:

look like no no because he he scrolled by him a couple of times and he thought that dude's weird why is he wearing a mask right and when he scrolled past him and then he went back to him He said, nice comforter, dude, and he was in his bedroom when he was scrolling on TikTok.

02:28:44 - 02:29:10 | Speaker 2:

Wow. Well, that's wild. That would freak me out if all of a sudden I'm watching TikTok or Instagram Reels, although I would think that that would be an interesting TikTok where somebody just puts that on TikTok. Are we sure that that... I don't know. Paige, what's up, Paige? Hi, Paige. Paige. Paige. Don't do a voice like that when we're talking about looking up here. Paige.

02:29:10 - 02:29:57 | Speaker 1:

I'm sorry. Hey, I'm sorry. What's going on? Hey, Mojo. Hi. So I have like a, it's kind of off from the ring, but I used to put that Alexa little round dot thing in my daughter's room so she can kind of listen to like music before she goes to sleep. And at a certain point in time, she didn't want me to turn it on. And I just couldn't figure out why for the life of me, why she didn't want me to turn on this music she's been hearing since she was a baby. you know and no problem so my boyfriend said he heard a male's voice over the Alexa the little Amazon Alexa dot thingy oh I got rid of that thing I got rid of that thing as soon as I I was like what you heard what I said oh that's Jerry so maybe that's why she didn't want to

02:29:57 - 02:30:29 | Speaker 2:

listen to Alexa wait a second so there was Thank you.

02:30:00 - 02:30:04 | Speaker 5:

Some guy on the Alexa talking to your daughter or listening in on your daughter?

02:30:04 - 02:30:10 | Speaker 1:

I don't know if he was talking to her or what happened, you know, because I would be asleep.

02:30:10 - 02:30:10 | Speaker 6:

Yeah.

02:30:10 - 02:30:20 | Speaker 1:

So I'm trying to figure out why she didn't want me turning it on anymore. Does she ever make out? I maybe assumed she heard that guy. I don't know. I threw it. I got rid of it. I don't even know.

02:30:20 - 02:30:22 | Speaker 4:

Did she ever make out what he was saying?

02:30:23 - 02:30:28 | Speaker 1:

No. I don't know if my boyfriend did, but he said he heard a male's voice.

02:30:28 - 02:30:28 | Speaker 5:

Wow.

02:30:29 - 02:30:33 | Speaker 1:

I mean, from her room, from that dot, because it would be on.

02:30:33 - 02:30:41 | Speaker 5:

My wife is under the belief that these things are basically a way for people to get in, you know. Yeah. Like, she wants none of that crap in her house.

02:30:41 - 02:30:52 | Speaker 4:

Every time I talk on the phone with my grandma, she'd be like, you hear them other people? I'd be like, oh, grandma, what you talking about? Yeah, they talking. They having their own conversation. I'm like, grandma, are you okay? Really? Maybe.

02:30:54 - 02:30:56 | Speaker 5:

That's scary, though, when you hear that.

02:30:56 - 02:30:56 | Speaker 4:

Like the party line.

02:30:56 - 02:31:45 | Speaker 5:

Mojo in the morning's Dirty on the 30.

02:31:49 - 02:31:52 | Speaker 5:

All right, let's get a look at what's trending in the Dirty on the 30.

02:31:52 - 02:32:26 | Speaker 3:

Honestly, I'm kind of surprised that Coldplay is not on the top of the billboard chart right now with everybody talking about what happened at the show last week with the two cheaters getting busted on the kiss cam. Even Coldplay frontman Chris Martin is getting in on the joke that started at his own show last week. Warning fans at his show in Wisconsin, there are cameras, people. how we're going to do that is we're going to use our cameras and put some of you on the big screen

02:32:26 - 02:32:40 | Speaker 2:

so please if you haven't done your makeup do your makeup now i thought it was interesting i listened

02:32:40 - 02:33:19 | Speaker 5:

to a cnn uh report that they had with a lawyer asking could this guy sue for what happened to him and they showed all of the ways that they tell you that there are cameras filming you at all times yeah and i didn't even know this but as soon as you walk through the door there's signs that are in gillette stadium literally off to the side about being recorded on your ticket that you buy a ticket master it's part of the fine print that's on there and then before the show they actually put a thing up on the screen talking about fire exits. And then they also talk about you're going to be recorded or there'll be a recording that will take place. So they've got

02:33:19 - 02:33:44 | Speaker 3:

so much liability that works out. And that guy, by the way, astronomer CEO, Andy Byron, if you missed us talking about this earlier in the show, you missed it over the weekend. He was put on administrative leave as the company looked into what had happened. He is now no longer with the company he resigned from his position so they are that company astronomer is now looking for their next ceo and i also saw that during morgan wallen's show friday night in arizona he was

02:33:44 - 02:34:00 | Speaker 6:

cracking jokes about this whole situation if there's anybody in here with their with their sides here or whatever i think i think you're safe here that's great i uh think that this guy

02:34:00 - 02:34:21 | Speaker 5:

This CEO guy Will be a great interview for somebody I wonder who will get the interview It's got to be like one of the 2020's or one of those shows like that Like those primetime shows Get an interview with the guy It'd be probably Smart for him to come out And end everything But a lot of people might say just be quiet

02:34:21 - 02:34:24 | Speaker 4:

What's in it for him if he does do an interview

02:34:24 - 02:34:31 | Speaker 5:

He's not going to do it I mean Dr. Phil or somebody Does something with him and his wife No, are you kidding me?

02:34:31 - 02:34:32 | Speaker 3:

That's never going to happen.

02:34:32 - 02:34:41 | Speaker 5:

I think it would be amazing, though, wouldn't it? It would be great television. I could see it. Well, I've never thought about that angle with it. Kelly Clarkson on her show.

02:34:41 - 02:34:59 | Speaker 3:

All right. President Trump is urging professional sports to reconsider their name changes and insisted in particular that the Washington commanders revert to the Washington Redskins as they were for so long. He said the same thing of the Cleveland Indians writing on Truth Social. Our great Indian people in massive numbers.

02:35:00 - 02:35:12 | Speaker 6:

want this to happen their heritage and prestige is systematically being taken away from them owners get it done now the now cleveland guardians leadership say they have no plans to consider

02:35:12 - 02:36:09 | Speaker 5:

reverting the name can we do a sport another sport story too because i think we would be bad and not talking about this but over the weekend yesterday specifically was the wmba uh all-star game but they also had their three point and four point shooting contest and all I guess they had a four-point line or something like that at the game. But did you see the women are fighting for higher pay, and they came out during warm-ups wearing a shirt that talked about, you know, them not getting paid enough money, which was interesting because I saw a bunch of TikToks going around this weekend talking about how much money the WNBA loses every single year and how the NBA has to pay. I don't know. The WNBA has never been profitable, according to a lot of these TikTokers that were writing it. I did not know that. I did not know how much they lost. But I think that it is interesting to know that a WNBA player only makes like $50,000 a year. Is that true?

02:36:09 - 02:36:30 | Speaker 6:

I still learned that last week. I'm blown away by that. A lot of the women were wearing shirts that said, pay us what you owe us. But I noticed that or I heard that Caitlin Clark's team did not choose to wear the shirts. And another WNBA star, Kelsey Plum, sorry, called her out for it.

02:36:30 - 02:36:40 | Speaker 1:

Hey, a big pep talk coming at halftime for Team Clark. Oh, no, we're going to listen to Glowrilla and maybe get a drink of Gatorade, of Gatorade. Thanks, Caitlin. I'm just joking. All right, take care.

02:36:40 - 02:36:42 | Speaker 6:

I have that Kelsey clip, by the way, if you want to play.

02:36:42 - 02:36:43 | Speaker 4:

Oh, yeah, where is it? It's on there.

02:36:44 - 02:36:44 | Speaker 5:

Hold on a second.

02:36:44 - 02:36:46 | Speaker 4:

Her and Sabrina Ionescu.

02:36:47 - 02:36:51 | Speaker 5:

Let's see her. You hear a different voice in there. It's the second one. Okay, here we go.

02:36:51 - 02:37:02 | Speaker 1:

You know, not to tattletale, but zero members of Team Clark were very present for that. But no, we were just, we had a very, not really needed to be mentioned.

02:37:03 - 02:37:11 | Speaker 5:

Called her right out. So did they not wear it for a reason or did they just not wear it? Like, did they give it to everybody or what was the story?

02:37:11 - 02:37:20 | Speaker 4:

I thought everybody wore it. I thought I saw Caitlin Clark wearing one. Yeah, it was just that the planning of it is what Kelsey is talking about.

02:37:20 - 02:37:23 | Speaker 6:

I think she said she was against it, didn't want to wear it, I think, is maybe what happened.

02:37:24 - 02:37:35 | Speaker 5:

Because I did see her whip one on. Yeah, I don't know. Do you think that you work with the Pistons and stuff? Do the NBA players have a thought on this? What do they think about the—

02:37:35 - 02:37:56 | Speaker 4:

No, I think, generally speaking, league-wide spread, players want the best for players. And I think that's one of the things before Kobe passed away. That was going to be some of his next frontier. His next quest was to identify a way for women to get paid more. The highest paid WNBA player, she played for the Aces. Her name Jackie Young. Her average salary is $252,000.

02:37:57 - 02:38:03 | Speaker 5:

That's it. Wow. Which is a lot of money, but compared to what does LeBron make? I think millions and millions.

02:38:03 - 02:38:10 | Speaker 4:

So Shea Gildress, who has now the highest contract, I think he signed four years to $280,000. Wow. $280,000,000. $9,000,000. Yeah, yeah.

02:38:10 - 02:38:20 | Speaker 6:

Yeah. And lastly, after her show on Saturday in England, Billie Eilish announcing she's teaming up with acclaimed director James Cameron on a very, very special 3D project.

02:38:20 - 02:38:43 | Speaker 3:

So you may have noticed there's like more cameras than usual over here. Basically, I can't say much about it, but I can say it's working on something very, very special. with somebody named James Cameron and it's going to be in three weeks. That's crazy.

02:38:44 - 02:38:45 | Speaker 6:

Yeah, that'll be huge.

02:38:45 - 02:38:50 | Speaker 5:

That's going to be interesting. James Cameron and the Titanic with Avatar. Yeah.

02:38:51 - 02:38:57 | Speaker 6:

02:40:00 - 02:42:37 | Speaker 2:

we get off the air uh today and throughout the day or listen again tomorrow morning to us if you're listening uh to kiss or to uh snx all right so it's funny we went to the uh graduation for walker walker reynolds this weekend it was in chelsea and i uh went to that and then we had another thing that we had to go to and um i don't know if uh this is something that's common in other people's relationships. But when we're going to this, she feels like, okay, you're going to know everybody and I'm going to know nobody. So beforehand, she said to me, she goes, all right, here's the deal. If you leave me and go talking to everybody and leave me, you know, completely by myself where I've got to like stand there and not know anybody, I'm really going to be upset with you because you have said over the years that you would not do that anymore. Cause I used to do that a lot I would go to bring her to events you know work events or to our promotions and I would kind of do my thing and she'd be off you know standing there not knowing anybody or not knowing anybody to uh you know to converse with and then at the end of the night I'd be like hey so what'd you think and she'd be like well it'd be nicer for you to you know at least introduce me to people or to stand with me and talk to me so I tried to be really conscious of this the exact reversal happened the exact opposite end of this happened we show up at uh dr reynolds house and chelsea knows more people than i know really yeah and then also people who didn't know her walked up to her and wanted to talk to her and had no interest in talking to me how did it feel this role reversal well you know what uh she some people would say what's good for the goose is good for the gander but I'd like to say that it did not feel nice I was like upset by that whole thing like wait a minute but it brought up something like when you go to somewhere where you were invited and you bring a date with you how much are you with the date how much are you with your husband Shannon or Kev a date when you go to an event and do you always feel like you have to like have them come with you everywhere because i was always really bad at this like i just assumed that chelsea you know is a grown woman and she could talk to people and then i realized i was really not good at bringing her as a wife and then it became a point where she was like when i would say hey would you come with me to this she'd be like no why am i going with you we don't even spend any time with each other when we're there you know you go by yourself and you'll

02:42:37 - 02:43:06 | Speaker 3:

have just as much fun i've had these experiences whether it was going to an event or just going to like Target or a store and you see somebody, you know, and five minutes into the conversation, you realize, Oh damn, like I'm with somebody like I should probably introduce them. And I've had people tell me like, I don't like when you do that. It makes me either feel insignificant. Yeah. Not a part of it or like you just don't consider me at all. Yeah. And it's not a good place to be on that side of the conversation.

02:43:06 - 02:43:47 | Speaker 2:

Half the time, honestly, I'm not ignoring her half the time. i don't know people's names i'm just trying to figure out i'm like oh my god i used to do this with chelsea i would say hey do me a favor and if somebody comes up and you don't hear me say their name and i say hey buddy i i would say to chelsea see if you can overhear somebody say their name or introduce yourself and go hey you know i'm his wife chelsea but you know what's your name and i'd be like oh my god i can't believe i didn't introduce you to uh dave no Oh, that's Doug. You know what I mean? One of those type of things. Does that ever happen with you and Wes, where you go out places? Or does he ever feel like you're not talking to him?

02:43:47 - 02:44:10 | Speaker 1:

I'm lucky with Wes because I feel 100% comfortable. I don't want to use the word dumping, but, like, he's good by himself. He likes meeting people. He's super chatty. So I don't feel like there's ever been a situation that I can recall where I felt like I have to, like, babysit him or stay close by him. And so I'm thankful for that, that he has that kind of personality where he'll just go.

02:44:10 - 02:45:00 | Speaker 2:

I don't feel like I'm babysitting Chelsea. I feel like I honestly abandoned her. I think it's a total different thing. And I think when we're there, I think that sometimes is the bigger problem is I'll go to, you know, like this party this weekend. We show up there and the party was, you know, there at his house. And you walk up. And the moment we walk up, ran into some people that, you know, knew but, you know, didn't know well. and i introduced him to chelsea like chelsea had never met walker before except for when walker and dr reynolds brought over to me after my shoulder surgery uh a gift they gave me they bought me a couple of shirts that were pretty funny shirts and chelsea met walker there and this was the most amazing thing about this guy about uh walker as a young man he's what 18 years old i think going into college he was so attentive like you

02:45:00 - 02:45:16 | Speaker 5:

could tell that dr reynolds and walker's mom did such an amazing job raising this kid he was so attentive to the fact that he had never really talked to chelsea he was talking and asking her questions i looked at him like this kid's unbelievable no wonder why the kid got into

02:45:16 - 02:45:42 | Speaker 6:

michigan yeah you know i'm hitting on my wife yeah you little bastard i have been in situations where if i've gone to an event with somebody else in a relationship with and i just don't feel like talking to people yeah so it's been totally okay with me to just like leave me at the table bro like i'm not like what do you kind of need me yeah who do you need me to be at this event yes am i the guy on the shoulder that you need to like bring around or can i just lay back and go do

02:45:42 - 02:45:52 | Speaker 5:

your thing but i have some people sometimes here at the radio station that get that way with me where i'll go places and we'll be at events and they expect me to be the yeah you know yeah show

02:45:52 - 02:46:24 | Speaker 4:

book mc of everything you know what i mean okay so that has happened to me before in situations that wes has has put me in where like we'll go to for example like a big track meet or an event because both of his kids are track athletes and he's a track coach and he'll be like you know this family's over there you know them you know like my his ex-wife jen's over there and sometimes i'm like i just i don't want to be rude i just want to sit by myself i don't want to have to like make small talk. I just want to sit by myself and like be on my phone. And then I know it looks like I am a huge B. Yeah.

02:46:24 - 02:46:33 | Speaker 5:

You don't want to do that. Yeah. Especially with in a divorce situation where it's the new wife and then everybody's judging you based on that. What's up? Initial age, your voice disguised.

02:46:35 - 02:46:48 | Speaker 9:

Yeah. I just, I feel this a lot because I constantly experience this with like my family in-law, like the extended family and everything. They, we really don't talk at all, but I'm there all the time.

02:46:48 - 02:46:54 | Speaker 5:

Yeah, so are you the person that is left behind, or is your partner the person that's left behind?

02:46:55 - 02:46:57 | Speaker 9:

No, I'm left behind, 100%.

02:46:57 - 02:47:06 | Speaker 5:

Yeah, it gets to be tough, too, huh? So do you have a very personable partner, like somebody that likes to talk to people?

02:47:07 - 02:47:17 | Speaker 9:

Yeah, he's very good at talking to everyone, his family, not as much. Like, they always ask, oh, what dish did you bring? And that's the extent of the conversation.

02:47:17 - 02:47:51 | Speaker 5:

Yeah. No, that's tough. I always felt bad. So I did this with Chelsea. Let me show you, tell you this one. The first time that Chelsea met my family, we went and stayed with my sister and I left and went to go out with some friends and left her alone with my family. Like, she was there alone with my family, like, the first time. Could you imagine you're going to meet Wes's family in Toronto, and he decides he's going to go do a guys' night with a group of guys? Wait, hold on. It sounds like that happened. Did that happen?

02:47:52 - 02:47:59 | Speaker 4:

No. No. I'm just saying, like, I can imagine that that would be a lie. It did look like she went back to that moment.

02:47:59 - 02:48:00 | Speaker 5:

I know. I was like, man, what are you doing?

02:48:00 - 02:48:01 | Unknown:

I know.

Joe in the morning.

02:50:00 - 02:51:12 | Speaker 1:

All right, Mojo in the Morning, just a random topic I want to throw out there. You know, it's one of those days where the phones sometimes are just a little mediocre. I mean, you guys, no offense. It's tough to top somebody whose dog ate their own balls. I know you can't top that, but we still want to hear from you guys. Here's the topic. We're going to do last lie. What was the last lie that you told? And it could be big or small. It could be the easiest topic ever. It could be something as easy as you just told your boss that he looked good today and you know that he looks like crap. Or it could be like mine. My last lie that I told was yesterday when a neighbor called me and asked if I was home because they needed something and I hid in my basement the entire day because I was worried that they were going to come over to my house and I had no clue what the hell they wanted, but I was like, I don't want to see them. You ever have one of those moments where it's like, I don't want to see you. So I stayed in the basement with the blinds all drawn, watching television, kind of just chilling out. And then when I go outside to take the dogs out because they have to go pee, I got to take them out to the backyard instead of the front yard, which I normally do, because I don't want them to actually know that I'm home. Whoa. That's my last lie.

02:51:12 - 02:51:34 | Speaker 4:

My last lie. I just lied to Tony in the hallway. He was, Tony and I had a conversation this weekend. He was like, man, I was being a total a-hole. And I was like, no, that's all good. And he was. He was being an a-hole. Yeah. I lied to Tony. What was Tony doing that was being an a-hole? What was he doing to you? He just had a very frustrated day. And we had a very frustrating conversation. But I could tell that it wasn't just me that the emotion was being brought towards.

02:51:34 - 02:51:37 | Speaker 1:

Is Tony Travato playing the throwback throwdown on Thursday?

02:51:38 - 02:51:41 | Speaker 4:

I hope so. Because I'm tired of hearing him talk crap about beating me the last time he played.

02:51:41 - 02:51:42 | Speaker 2:

He said that he would.

02:51:43 - 02:51:50 | Speaker 1:

Because there's reports that Mike cannot drive in for this thing. That Mike has some kind of a country thing that's going on.

02:51:51 - 02:51:53 | Speaker 3:

Oh, really? Oh, for the big contest for the car.

02:51:53 - 02:51:55 | Speaker 1:

For the big contest of giving away the car on Thursday.

02:51:56 - 02:52:01 | Speaker 2:

Tony's going to be engineering her entire broadcast, too. Wait a minute. Hold on a second.

02:52:01 - 02:52:03 | Speaker 1:

Tony is engineering the broadcast.

02:52:03 - 02:52:05 | Speaker 2:

Yes, he is. He's back there learning right now.

02:52:05 - 02:52:09 | Speaker 1:

Why aren't the engineer? Because I'm the host. I'm Ryan Seacrest. Oh, her.

02:52:09 - 02:52:10 | Speaker 2:

Well, I have to run phones back here.

02:52:11 - 02:52:54 | Speaker 1:

Oh, that's right. By the way, I think that we could have Tony play and engineering. You want me to get him in here? No, but I'm going to get last time. I don't like that when Tony plays. Let me do the topic. Tony's actually really good. Exactly. I'm not scared of that. He's, he's, I think he's one in two this year, right? No, he went two and one or two and one. Yeah. Yeah. Two and one. He's won out of three games. He's won two and lost one. I think it's, by the way, I do find it interesting that the engineers aren't engineering the broadcast. What is the program director engineering the broadcast for? Is it just me or have I? You talk to the PD. Have I? Program director. Have I actually seen the reversal of radio where the engineers now are taking over and the on-air talent has lost its way?

02:52:55 - 02:52:56 | Speaker 4:

I trust Tony.

02:52:56 - 02:53:03 | Speaker 1:

It used to be the engineers, you know, had to answer to somebody and they answered to the program director. Now the program director is answering to the engineers. I don't know.

02:53:03 - 02:53:05 | Speaker 4:

Tony can run a farm. He can run a broadcast.

02:53:05 - 02:53:09 | Speaker 1:

That's true. All right. So last lie. What's the last lie you told, Shannon?

02:53:10 - 02:53:17 | Speaker 3:

I'm going to get busted. Somebody asked me if I was available to do something this week and I said I was busy and I am not busy.

02:53:17 - 02:53:18 | Speaker 1:

I just don't want to do it.

02:53:19 - 02:53:20 | Speaker 3:

I want a dang free day.

02:53:21 - 02:53:28 | Speaker 1:

I hear that. You know, the problem with that is you probably have told a few people that you're busy. Now everybody's going to think it's that person. Now if it is.

02:53:28 - 02:53:29 | Speaker 3:

I want a free night.

02:53:30 - 02:53:38 | Speaker 1:

I like that. 844-MOJO-LIVE, 844-665-6548. What was your last lie? Big or small? We'll take them all. Lydia, what was your last lie you took?

02:53:39 - 02:53:41 | Speaker 2:

Bianca asked me if she looked cute today. Ah!

02:53:41 - 02:53:49 | Speaker 3:

Poor Bianca's just getting raked over the coals with what she's been wearing in here lately.

02:53:49 - 02:54:00 | Speaker 2:

Turn my mic up. Turn my mic up. It's up. Oh, okay. Go ahead. Talk your talk. Lydia's cardigan was from freshman year of high school, and it's from Forever 21. It looks like a granny sweater. Oh. And so what? Maybe the mayor will like it.

02:54:01 - 02:54:01 | Unknown:

Wow.

02:54:01 - 02:54:02 | Speaker 2:

Well, no guy will.

02:54:03 - 02:54:04 | Speaker 1:

Ooh, look at this.

02:54:04 - 02:54:06 | Speaker 2:

I'm not looking for a man right now, so that's fine.

02:54:06 - 02:54:07 | Speaker 1:

You guys, man.

02:54:07 - 02:54:09 | Speaker 2:

I could say some lies right now, but I'm just going to be nice.

02:54:09 - 02:54:12 | Speaker 1:

No, no, no. Go ahead. We want to hear him. We're waiting for calls to come in. Come on.

02:54:12 - 02:54:16 | Speaker 2:

I told Lydia her ex-man would come back to her, but I don't think that's going to happen.

02:54:16 - 02:54:17 | Speaker 1:

Oh, my God.

02:54:17 - 02:54:20 | Speaker 2:

Why would he come back to me? I don't want him to. I hope he doesn't. Especially this last one.

02:54:20 - 02:54:25 | Speaker 1:

Which one are we talking about? Which ex-man? Are we talking about gas station guy or are we talking about Deeznot's Derek?

02:54:26 - 02:54:27 | Speaker 2:

His name wasn't Derek.

02:54:27 - 02:54:29 | Speaker 1:

I don't know what his name was. Drew. Desert D. Drew.

02:54:30 - 02:54:31 | Speaker 2:

Find out after the commercial break.

02:54:32 - 02:54:38 | Speaker 1:

Wait. So, Bianca and Lydia, what is going on between the two of you guys? You guys sound like you guys got a little bit of-

02:54:38 - 02:54:39 | Speaker 2:

We're having a field day.

02:54:40 - 02:54:41 | Speaker 1:

You guys got a little bit of issues going on there.

02:54:41 - 02:54:43 | Speaker 2:

No, she's just driving me nuts today.

02:54:43 - 02:54:44 | Speaker 1:

Man.

02:54:44 - 02:54:53 | Speaker 2:

She asked me to leave mid-show to go get her coffee from Whole Foods. I'm like, I'm not leaving the phones to go get you coffee. I just squatted her in the producer room.

02:54:53 - 02:54:55 | Speaker 1:

So what were you going to do? Were you going to cover the phones for her while she left?

02:54:55 - 02:54:58 | Speaker 2:

Yeah, I can do that. I'm a talented individual.

02:54:58 - 02:55:03 | Speaker 1:

Wait, do you guys ever do that? that and i don't know that you're doing that because i lost my tv connection here and i don't

02:55:03 - 02:55:12 | Speaker 2:

get to see you guys anymore no i've never left phones and i'm not we should switch one day come on everybody already knows we'll switch we'll see if you notice no no i will notice

02:55:12 - 02:55:31 | Speaker 1:

i noticed when we had the fill-in uh working when we were doing the audition it was not the same lydia i know lydia's uh uh phone touch she's uh she's very quick with it everybody else is slow as Hold on. Dallas is back with us. Dallas, what's the last lie that you told, and was it to me when I saw you this weekend?

02:55:33 - 02:55:38 | Speaker 4:

You know what? I was trying to talk to Lydia, man, but I'd have to think about that one real quick. No, no, come on.

02:55:38 - 02:55:46 | Speaker 1:

He said I was trying to talk to Lydia. What's the last lie? What's the last lie? Lydia's not here right now. She's at Whole Foods getting Bianca's coffee. What was your last lie?

02:55:48 - 02:55:57 | Speaker 4:

Let's see. What was my last lie? Probably not doing a run for somebody for my second job.

02:55:57 - 02:56:01 | Speaker 1:

Okay, so they wanted you to go do a run, and what did you say that was the reason why you couldn't do the run?

02:56:02 - 02:56:03 | Speaker 4:

Oh, that I had plans?

02:56:04 - 02:56:21 | Speaker 1:

You know, I think that's fine. That's number one. It goes back to what I was saying earlier today. When you say, and this is a Chelsea statement, my wife Chelsea, when you say yes to others, you're saying no to you. That's true. I'm telling you. It's okay for you to do that.

02:56:22 - 02:56:27 | Speaker 4:

But this is a remote. Do you remember I was talking about something at Walker's graduation?

02:56:27 - 02:56:32 | Speaker 1:

I remember you were talking to me, but I don't remember what exactly you were talking about, to be honest with you. He's not allowed right now. I know.

02:56:32 - 02:56:40 | Speaker 4:

He wants to do the handlebar tour thing with us.

02:56:40 - 02:56:48 | Speaker 1:

Those are so fun. Yeah, I like that idea. And by the way, I wasn't lying when I said I was interested in it. I like those. I would love to do a promotion with you.

02:56:49 - 02:56:52 | Speaker 4:

Okay. Well, I will go back and catch Lydia. No, no.

02:56:52 - 02:57:14 | Speaker 1:

I'll put you on hold with Lydia. This is the easiest topic we did all morning. I mean, we had topics this morning where we're like, what's the last, you know, your dog, how'd your dog almost die or whatever. I mean, people are calling in with their, let me tell you about my dog eating its tail, you know, stuff like that, or my dog eating the balls. You're telling me that people can't call in with a lie? Zach, Zach Martian Radio. What's going on, Zach?

02:57:14 - 02:57:19 | Speaker 2:

Well, I have a confession. I definitely lied earlier today. What did you lie about? You don't want a big brother?

02:57:20 - 02:57:21 | Speaker 1:

No, no, I don't want that.

02:57:22 - 02:57:34 | Speaker 2:

Sorry, buddy. But I lied when I said it didn't piss me off when my nephew fell asleep at a movie. I spent $60, bro. See that? That's a big one. Wake up and watch this movie. Absolutely.

02:57:35 - 02:58:29 | Speaker 1:

You know what? That's hard-earned money. That's a fact. Wasted. That's a lot of podcasts that you put up for that thing. I get to send a podcast. Seriously. I would be pissed too do you know what's funny about that it brought up something I took my kids so I took Luke to I took Jacob to Universal Studios once I took Luke to a baseball All-Star game my kids go on great trips you want me to be your big brother I'll be your big brother both of those kids let me down on one thing one thing Luke wanted to leave the game early the All-Star game early I'm like we're not leaving the All-Star game early he wanted to beat the traffic the second one was Jacob we're at Universal Studios all day and I was tired as hell. I could not even walk another inch. And Jacob's like, can we just go on another ride? And I lied to him because I told him that the ride was closed. It was like the ride at the back of the park. I'm like, this is not good.

02:58:29 - 02:58:31 | Speaker 2:

I'll be closer early. I don't know.

02:58:32 - 02:58:37 | Speaker 1:

I think it might have been like the, did you ever go to Universal, the Bart Simpson ride? It's like the back of the park.

02:58:37 - 02:58:37 | Speaker 4:

I still have that.

02:58:38 - 02:58:39 | Speaker 1:

What's up, Tony? How you doing?

02:58:40 - 02:58:41 | Speaker 4:

What's going on, Mojo?

02:58:41 - 02:58:44 | Speaker 1:

Hey, it's going good, man. the last lie that you told?

02:58:45 - 02:58:48 | Speaker 4:

I told my supervisor that I'll come in for some overtime.

02:58:48 - 02:58:50 | Speaker 1:

I'm sorry. Hold on a second. Say that again. Your phone cut out. What did you say?

02:58:51 - 02:58:55 | Speaker 3:

I told my supervisor that I'll come in for some overtime, but I lied. I couldn't find that initiative.

02:58:56 - 02:59:11 | Speaker 1:

Wait, you didn't show up? No, not at all. Oh, my God. Did you get fired? I called him, though. No, I'm at work right now. Oh, you're right. Oh, this is excellent. Okay. You are so f***ing fired. I hope you can. I'll be here in a minute. Dominic, what's up? It's Mojo in the morning.

02:59:11 - 02:59:13 | Speaker 3:

Hey, how you doing? First time.

02:59:13 - 02:59:14 | Speaker 1:

Hey, Dominique.

02:59:16 - 02:59:26 | Speaker 3:

What's going on? You're not lying. How's it going? My cousin's in the hospital. She said, are you downstairs? I said, yeah, I am. I just left the house. I do that.

02:59:26 - 02:59:55 | Speaker 1:

That's such a popular one. I do that. Hey, Chelsea and I talk on our podcast today about following each other's locations and how I talked about it on the air. She was mad about me talking about it on the air because it made her look bad when there's a reason why she doesn't and I don't follow each other's locations. Well, that was actually one of the reasons why she wanted to follow my location was because I would always say to her, yeah, I'm on my way home. And she knew it was a load of crap.

02:59:56 - 02:59:57 | Speaker 3:

Yeah, you didn't even leave the station or nothing

02:59:57 - 03:00:00 | Speaker 1:

yet, right? Buddy, I used to do that all the time.

03:00:00 - 03:00:06 | Speaker 2:

and you could hear the echo of the hallways here at the station. I'd be like, I'm in the car. You've got to be careful.

03:00:06 - 03:00:07 | Speaker 1:

Oh, don't bust it yourself. Yeah, right?

03:00:08 - 03:00:09 | Speaker 2:

Hey, take care, Dominic.

03:00:09 - 03:00:10 | Speaker 1:

I'm not the way you're not with them, for real.

03:00:10 - 03:00:26 | Speaker 2:

How are you? You guys, too. Hey, see you, buddy. Appreciate it. Wow, how about this one here? Can't call on the air because I'll get busted by my boss. Told my boss that I couldn't make it into work today, only to find out that my boss had to do my job and he got injured and has to go to the hospital. No way.

03:00:26 - 03:00:29 | Speaker 3:

That boss knows who he is if he's on his way to the hospital.

03:00:30 - 03:00:35 | Speaker 1:

03:01:25 - 03:01:29 | Speaker 4:

Hi. So we met on Instagram. He DMs me.

03:01:29 - 03:01:45 | Speaker 2:

Oh. You know what? Those are always good ones because it's kind of like him looking at you and seeing what you're all about and then him sliding in and trying to get a date with you. So it's not like a dating app where the guy's going on a ton of different ones. So did you guys have a good time?

03:01:45 - 03:01:46 | Speaker 5:

Yeah, it's all kind of organic.

03:01:47 - 03:01:47 | Speaker 2:

Yeah.

03:01:48 - 03:01:54 | Speaker 5:

Yeah, you know, like we went to Putt-Putt. We got ice cream. I thought we had a nice time. That's a cute first date.

03:01:54 - 03:02:16 | Speaker 2:

That is good. I like the idea of something like putt-putt because I think everybody can putt-putt. And if you can't putt-putt, then you have them help you putt-putt. Right? And I feel like going back to your first point, dating app, the only people you see are the people that are served. Yeah. Because Instagram had to go to your profile and choose you. You know what I mean? I kind of like that. And he didn't call you back after one date or a couple of dates?

03:02:17 - 03:02:21 | Speaker 4:

No, it was literally just one date and totally brainiac silence.

03:02:22 - 03:02:24 | Speaker 2:

Not a message? Nothing like, hey, I'm busy?

03:02:24 - 03:02:32 | Speaker 4:

none of that nope and no dms on instagram so will is on the phone with us right now will

03:02:32 - 03:02:51 | Speaker 2:

will you say hello to laney hello hi all right all right well what's going on buddy what's happening here why are uh why are we not calling Lainey back, at least to give her an explanation.

03:02:53 - 03:03:05 | Speaker 3:

Well, I probably owed her that, but I just think we're kind of like not we're probably like not a perfect fit, you know. So she's a cool chick, but like...

03:03:05 - 03:03:09 | Speaker 2:

Not a perfect fit. Did you think she was attractive?

03:03:10 - 03:03:13 | Speaker 4:

Yeah, uh-huh. Yeah. So what's not a

03:03:13 - 03:03:20 | Speaker 2:

good fit? Was she fun to talk to? Was she, like, yeah. Saying not a good fit just sounds like he's... That's very vague. BS.

03:03:22 - 03:03:38 | Speaker 3:

I guess, well, for me, I kind of want somebody with, like, a better line of work, like a better job, something in the medical field or something. Just, like, I don't know, somebody with more going in that department.

03:03:38 - 03:03:39 | Speaker 2:

What do you do, Lainey?

03:03:41 - 03:03:58 | Speaker 5:

I'm a teacher. What's wrong with that? so um what is it i just i'm just confused because like men are always saying like you know they want to provide for women and then you know here's the chance i guess to provide for one

03:03:58 - 03:04:14 | Speaker 3:

shouldn't you be providing i mean that's a traditional way of thinking i kind of like the idea of like two big incomes though you know yeah yeah so so hold on a second so when

03:04:14 - 03:04:22 | Speaker 2:

you're dating well as a 30 something i'm guessing right are you what how old are you yeah 34 what

03:04:22 - 03:04:31 | Speaker 1:

do you do did i miss that yeah will what's your occupation i'm an rn so i'm in the medical field

03:04:31 - 03:04:57 | Speaker 2:

okay gotcha so will you're a 34 year old rn and you're thinking to yourself i'm going out on a date i find out that this woman is a teacher that's not the occupation that to me i want to be with for that date or you don't want to be with in the future like you're actually already thinking about like marrying and what it would be like to actually have a two-income family of a teacher and an RN?

03:04:58 - 03:04:59 | Speaker 3:

Yeah, kind of.

03:05:00 - 03:05:08 | Speaker 4:

Not that that would be the end of the world, but I kind of want to build a little bit bigger than that, as materialistic as it's done.

03:05:08 - 03:05:11 | Speaker 6:

What do you want her to be? What are you hoping that she is?

03:05:12 - 03:05:22 | Speaker 4:

I don't know. Another RN. I mean, even the traveling nurses now can make hundreds a year, and then we have two of those incomes, and then we can kind of do whatever we want.

03:05:22 - 03:05:29 | Speaker 6:

How about a doctor? Would you like it that high? Would you like it making it even? Yeah. A lawyer. Are you okay with lawyers? Are you okay?

03:05:30 - 03:05:34 | Speaker 4:

Well, it depends. Are we a court of, you know, the state of the plan? Okay, I mean.

03:05:35 - 03:05:40 | Speaker 6:

That's interesting. I've never known anybody that would date somebody and say, I'm not going to date. Like, especially.

03:05:41 - 03:05:52 | Speaker 2:

No, if you had zero drive, zero aspiration, that's one thing. But, like, she knows what she wants to do. Yeah. It's just not what he wants her to do.

03:05:53 - 03:06:09 | Speaker 5:

I feel like I agree with y'all. But at the same time, I feel like the conversation would be a lot different if she was on the other foot. I feel like we'd be looking at if she was out like, yeah, he's a blank and I want him to be this. He's a nurse. Like, yeah, I don't want to date a guy who's a nurse. Yeah, I feel like y'all would be like, I understand.

03:06:09 - 03:06:12 | Speaker 2:

But I wouldn't. I actually, you say that.

03:06:12 - 03:06:24 | Speaker 6:

I do agree with Kevin on that. And I think that that's actually a really good point. That I think the stereotype to me would be more common that a woman might look at the guy's occupation as maybe he doesn't make enough money.

03:06:25 - 03:06:27 | Speaker 2:

But we would never let that slide.

03:06:27 - 03:06:28 | Speaker 6:

No, we shouldn't let it.

03:06:28 - 03:06:40 | Speaker 5:

I think we shouldn't let either of them slide. I don't think y'all would call it out like y'all doing right now. Like, if she was like, I want someone that will provide, and I want someone to take care of y'all, I'd be like, okay. Listeners would call and say she was a gold digger.

03:06:40 - 03:06:43 | Speaker 6:

Here, hold on. In two seconds. Andrea, what do you think about this?

03:06:44 - 03:06:52 | Speaker 7:

So, I just had a question. Before he went on a date, did he not know, like, from her Instagram or just from conversation that she was a teacher?

03:06:52 - 03:07:11 | Speaker 4:

it honestly didn't it didn't really come up um i if she said it i missed it or something but it's not on her instagram anywhere like you probably if it's so important maybe you could ask well i don't know i don't know what you say like i didn't vet her enough or something

03:07:11 - 03:07:17 | Speaker 6:

yeah like i guess you probably should have talked about that in the dms what's going on bill hi it's

03:07:17 - 03:07:26 | Speaker 3:

mojo in the morning hey mojo how are you guys oh my god is that your real voice That is amazing. What's up? Come on, you know that's me, man.

03:07:26 - 03:07:39 | Speaker 6:

I'm sorry, but it says Bill up here. It doesn't say Bill with the big balls. What's going on? Can we call him Big Balls Bill, Lydia? I love this rap. What's going on, Big Balls Bill?

03:07:40 - 03:07:47 | Speaker 3:

Yeah, so, I mean, seriously, man, this dude is a butthole, man. You don't date a person for what they do. You date them for who they are.

03:07:48 - 03:07:49 | Speaker 6:

Yeah, I agree with you. That's right.

03:07:50 - 03:07:54 | Speaker 3:

Just hearing him say butthole. I don't know where this guy came from, but he needs to hurry up and go find himself.

03:07:54 - 03:08:21 | Speaker 6:

Oh, no, that's right. I love that, Bill. Yeah, Bill, thank you, buddy. I appreciate your call. Lydia, change his name up there as Big Balls Bill. Have a blessed day. I got a couple of questions that I just want to personally ask before I grab more calls on this one here. Is that something that should come up? Like, what is your occupation and what do you make? Like, do people ask that question?

03:08:21 - 03:08:23 | Speaker 2:

I would never ask somebody what they make.

03:08:24 - 03:08:42 | Speaker 6:

Like, to me, that would be wild to know that. And then also to ask this question. If you saw somebody that was really hot and then you found out that the person was in an occupation where they weren't making a crazy amount of money or enough to be able to be supporting you, would you stop dating somebody based on that?

03:08:43 - 03:08:57 | Speaker 5:

Is there anybody that's never done that? I agree with Bill. Money can come and go. Careers can come and go. The world can change. There are jobs that are jobs now that weren't jobs 10, 15 years ago. And I think you've got to find the person for who they are because that's what will last longer.

03:08:58 - 03:09:13 | Speaker 6:

Texter here says, this guy is Gaylord Focker. I forgot about that. What's going on, Becky? You're a nurse, Focker? What's going on? Hello. Hi, Becky.

03:09:13 - 03:09:24 | Speaker 8:

Oh, I'm an MP, and our end does not make that much money, so he can't be putting down the teacher.

03:09:25 - 03:09:28 | Speaker 6:

Well, what's going on, buddy? I want to see your tax returns.

03:09:28 - 03:09:33 | Speaker 2:

Well, maybe he wants a sugar mama. Maybe he wants somebody that earns more than him.

03:09:33 - 03:09:35 | Speaker 6:

Ashton, what's going on? It's Mojo in the Morning.

03:09:36 - 03:09:46 | Speaker 1:

What's up? I was just calling to say this guy is totally in the right. I just feel like people are not used to the man side having this type of standard.

03:09:47 - 03:09:50 | Speaker 6:

So it's okay for him to have these standards about her occupation?

03:09:52 - 03:09:57 | Speaker 1:

Yeah, of course. Like Kevin said, if it was reversed, nobody would better eye.

03:09:58 - 03:10:00 | Speaker 6:

I do agree with Kevin on that.

03:10:00 - 03:10:06 | Speaker 2:

one and you on that too i think that if this was a woman calling out a guy's occupation we've had

03:10:06 - 03:10:14 | Speaker 3:

that before and everybody in two seconds calls her a gold digger and petty dustin hello hey what's

03:10:14 - 03:10:33 | Speaker 1:

up hey i agree with the guy 100 you know if you guys are both equal making good money the the world is yours yeah there's no sky on it where if you got a girl that doesn't want to go to work or pay her bills or anything and then you know i disagree with the guy i think that's how everything

03:10:33 - 03:11:20 | Speaker 2:

should be yeah i have to tell you that i'm thinking about about this right now with like my wife chelsea and when we started dating her dad did not like i was a dj it had nothing to do with what i had as far as earning potential but i was making like 20 grand a year like i was or less than 20 grand a year like with all the stuff and i think about that right now and i think to myself you don't know what a person's potential is i mean she's a teacher now she could be an in you know an inventor you know of something no you'd have no clue like you know chelsea put her money on this horse and this horse came through hey c biscuit did you just name i don't know if it came all right now i want to hear you go Liz, what's up?

03:11:22 - 03:11:26 | Speaker 4:

Hey, guys. What's up, Liz? First time long crime. Liz on the phone.

03:11:27 - 03:11:29 | Speaker 2:

What do you think about this, Liz?

03:11:31 - 03:11:36 | Speaker 4:

I think if he wants to date a nurse so bad, he should just date somebody he meets at work.

03:11:37 - 03:11:39 | Speaker 2:

Yeah, that's where he should be meeting him, not on Instagram, right?

03:11:40 - 03:11:52 | Speaker 4:

Yeah, yeah. I think it's kind of crazy that he thinks he's like some millionaire that wants to meet another millionaire, but then he's like, oh, but not a lawyer. Let me just, I want a nurse.

03:11:52 - 03:11:54 | Speaker 2:

Can I tell you something?

03:11:54 - 03:11:55 | Speaker 4:

Look for a nurse.

03:11:55 - 03:12:44 | Speaker 2:

We have texters right now texting, I'm in medical sales. I would love to get this guy's number. Another one here. I work at Michigan Medicine. I would love to meet him. I actually make great money. I mean, look at all these people that are contacting saying that they actually like the idea of Will. I don't know if the guy pool is that bad, but there are people that would really like to date Will even after his comments that he made about you, Lainey. Lainey, I think, yeah, I think, I think, listen, I'm going to say this to you. I think that first off, Lainey's beautiful. We just saw the pictures of Lainey that Lydia and Bianca sent to us. I think, Lainey, you're better off. I think this is one of those ones where you go into it and you go, God, I wish I could get another date out of him. But I think if Will's, you know, standards are this, I think that you're better off. Joy, what's up?

03:12:45 - 03:12:48 | Speaker 3:

Thank you. I agree with him.

03:12:48 - 03:12:49 | Speaker 2:

Okay.

03:12:49 - 03:12:52 | Speaker 3:

Because in today's economy, I mean, you need two incomes.

03:12:53 - 03:12:53 | Speaker 2:

Yeah.

03:12:53 - 03:12:59 | Speaker 3:

So, but I don't agree that he didn't ask her what she did before he went out on a date.

03:13:00 - 03:13:00 | Speaker 2:

Yeah. Well.

03:13:00 - 03:13:04 | Speaker 3:

That part, that's very important to ask him before you go for her.

03:13:04 - 03:13:32 | Speaker 2:

And even if he didn't ask her, then he should have at least called her back and said, hey. And honestly, I wouldn't even tell her the real reason that that's the case. Yeah. I would lie and just say, you know what? Because I don't want to break somebody's heart that way. You ain't breaking her heart. Her heart, she doesn't seem heartbroken. Yeah. She about to get with Billy, the PE teacher, have a good night. No. And the teacher's lunch. Would you date another teacher, Lainey?

03:13:32 - 03:13:39 | Speaker 3:

i sure would that's right i would not have a problem with that she's dating for love how

03:13:39 - 03:14:25 | Speaker 2:

about a radio dj we've got plenty of single ones here zach is a great guy ain't looking to mentor bring one of them come on i'll give you my instagram you can slide in there too all right that does it for today Today, I'm going to leave. I'm going to do like a big D moment here right now. We're going to go have lunch with the mayor. We're going to, you know what I mean? It's not every day that you can say, the mayor is going to be going to have lunch with us. Going to the Manoogian. Da, da, da, da, da, da, da, da, da, da. We'll tell you about that tomorrow.

03:14:25 - 03:14:26 | Speaker 3:

Is he going to have, like, security with him?

03:14:26 - 03:14:29 | Speaker 2:

You know what's funny? He's so low-key. He drives himself.

03:14:30 - 03:14:30 | Speaker 3:

He is so low-key.

03:14:30 - 03:14:45 | Speaker 2:

I'm sure he's got security, but he drives his own car. So that's kind of interesting. So we'll report back tomorrow on that. Have a great day. See you tomorrow. 20 plus years of idiocy and still going in Detroit, Toledo, and West Michigan.
