00:02:45 - 00:02:47 | Speaker 4:

You're listening to Mojo in the Morning.

00:02:48 - 00:02:53 | Speaker 5:

You're a doo-doo head. Here we go, go, go. Here we go, go, go.

00:02:53 - 00:04:08 | Speaker 3:

It's showtime. Good morning, baby. Oh, my God. It is Monday morning. It is back to school Monday morning. Shout out to all of the parents. I guess summer's over. This is like one of those moments as a parent where either you're like, thank God school has finally started, you can get the kids off, or you're sad, you know, that you don't spend as much time with your baby. But either way, we're grateful that you're waking up with us as we kick off a new week of the Mojo in the Morning show, and we got tons of stuff in store. We got tickets galore, Tate McCray tickets, sold-out Matt Rife tickets, some Jason Aldean tickets, and the biggest thing we have this week is we're kicking off our Mojo in the Mornings Mojo Cash for Class brought to you by Moran. Your guy, Shannon. Brian Rana's the best. He is. He is. He's got some pockets. He's got some deep pockets. Probably the deepest pockets we've ever seen. 7.30 and 8.30. Make sure you're listening to the Mojo on the morning show. We'll take qualifiers, giving you a chance at $500. And, of course, the big bucks. $2,500 check. Then another $2,500 check for a total of $5,000. Just keep hitting the button.

00:04:09 - 00:04:10 | Speaker 6:

That's a lot of applause. That's a lot.

00:04:10 - 00:04:59 | Speaker 3:

So the show today is going to sound a bit different. Our guy Mojo is dealing with some family situations right now. So he'll be out today and tomorrow. But we got the rest of the gang here. Kaji B, Shannon, Big Zach, and of course, Lydia. And we're going to have an amazing show. Are you nervous that you are essentially Mojo today? Listen, that is a Hall of Fame-sized shoe, which is crazy to feel. And I was asking you before the show, like, has this ever happened before where we've done a full show? And even since I've been in the show for almost three years, we've done like little topics here and there in a best of scenario. We played a little bit of rerun. We've done some live stuff, but a full four hour boy, bring the alcohol. I think I did tell you at Mojo's party on Friday night because we knew that this was.

00:05:00 - 00:05:09 | Speaker 2:

going to be the case for today i was like we are going to drink before the show and it's going to be great i was drunk when i said i know you were i don't think i don't think it's a good idea for

00:05:09 - 00:05:28 | Speaker 1:

us to drink listen when you said it i'm looking at you i'm like shannon i don't feel like you're gonna say the same thing on monday i don't think the energy is gonna be the same whatever but so we talked about first day of school we talked about being nervous yes i think and i don't want to i don't want to jump the gun here but i think you did a little something different today your

00:05:28 - 00:06:15 | Speaker 2:

teeth look a little shinier oh my god you guys i drank a little more than i normally do on friday night i like to say i was over served at mojo's party we were celebrate celebrating his you know hall of fame and um anyway so let me let me go back a little bit i use these like bamboo toothbrushes that i replace every couple of weeks or so so i get them from amazon they come in a box I use them for two weeks. I throw it away. I get a new one. And that's what you're supposed to do. So I have a ton of them in my bathroom. Well, right before Mojo's party on Friday, Wes wanted to clean off these suede shoes that he thought he was going to wear. I don't even think he ended up wearing them. Besides the point.

00:06:16 - 00:06:17 | Speaker 1:

I like suede shoes.

00:06:17 - 00:07:10 | Speaker 2:

They had like some stains on them or something. And he was like, what can I use to clean these? And he's like, oh, I know. I'm going to grab one of your toothbrushes from the closet. So he grabbed one of the new ones, used it to clean the shoes. Dummy didn't throw it in the trash can. So when I got back on Friday night, unbeknownst to me, both Friday night and Saturday morning, I apparently used the shoe toothbrush to brush my actual teeth. So I didn't even realize it until he comes into the bathroom on Saturday morning and he's like wait a second how come there's three toothbrushes here and i said what do you mean and then i look and i was like i don't know i go why do we have three and he's like you i think you use the one that i use to clean my shoes for your tea good guy now look when you say

00:07:10 - 00:07:21 | Speaker 1:

bamboo toothbrush my mind immediately says this is a healthy toothbrush i don't i guess so does it taste like a normal toothbrush or do you have like a hint of wood in it already to wear like

00:07:21 - 00:07:54 | Speaker 2:

I don't even know why I started using them. I think I got one at a hotel one time, and I was like, oh, I like this. That's why I started buying them on Amazon. They're cheap. They're so cheap. Cheaper than a toothbrush you get at CVS. Are they supposed to wipe your teeth? No, they do nothing different, except they're good for the environment. I don't know, you guys, why I buy them, but I buy them. And I used a dirty one. And I looked at him, and I said, why did you not throw this away? after you used it on your shoe.

00:07:54 - 00:08:07 | Speaker 1:

Yeah, and what is his excuse? I thought I was going to reuse it. He was drunk, too. That's what it was. Well, luckily it was suede, so you know he didn't use, like, polish or anything like that.

00:08:07 - 00:08:10 | Speaker 2:

But still was his shoe, like, all over his shoe.

00:08:10 - 00:08:33 | Speaker 1:

That's disgusting. Well, I will say this. Your teeth look amazing. Thank you. So the more, the merrier. 844-MOJO-LIVE, 844-665-6548. Has that ever happened to you at all, where you thought you were using something for a different purpose? Yeah. Like, has that happened with Wes, where he's brushing his hair and it turned out it was a different type of brush?

00:08:33 - 00:09:14 | Speaker 2:

I'm trying to think. I mean, he's used my, like, my Christmas razor before on his face when he couldn't find his razor. I feel like that's kind of disgusting. Shannon, did he break out from that? Not that I recall. And mind you, TMI on this back to school day, I did laser hair removal years ago. So it's not like I'm using it all the time, but that's the only thing that I use it for. So he learned that real quick when he moved in last summer that like that razor is for that purpose. He doesn't care, but I thought it was kind of gross. I feel like y'all need a label maker.

00:09:14 - 00:09:39 | Speaker 1:

we gotta start putting labels on stuff this is the christmas razor west let's go to jordan good morning jordan how are you jordan very quiet today jordan jordan it's okay you're amongst friends we can hear you good morning jordan jordan's there jordan you're muted probably It's early.

00:09:39 - 00:09:39 | Speaker 2:

Is that what he potted up?

00:09:40 - 00:09:42 | Speaker 1:

Yep. It's potted.

00:09:42 - 00:09:43 | Speaker 2:

Send him back over to me.

00:09:43 - 00:09:49 | Speaker 1:

Okay, bet. All right, we'll send him. Yeah, I think a label maker probably would, like, save lives. Yeah, he's there.

00:09:49 - 00:09:56 | Speaker 2:

He's talking to me, Zach. This is the vagina razor. Could you imagine if somebody, like, had a guest used my shower?

00:09:56 - 00:09:59 | Speaker 1:

This is the shoe brush. Ew. This is not the toothbrush. This is not the toothbrush.

00:10:00 - 00:10:01 | Speaker 8:

I don't think Jordan's playing along.

00:10:02 - 00:10:05 | Speaker 1:

I was just talking to him when you sent him back over.

00:10:06 - 00:10:09 | Speaker 8:

Jordan, we don't have time for games. It's Monday morning. What's going on here?

00:10:09 - 00:10:10 | Speaker 1:

It's not him.

00:10:10 - 00:10:14 | Speaker 8:

I don't think it's going to be on here. Is it our system? It might be the board.

00:10:14 - 00:10:17 | Speaker 6:

Mojo screwed up the board. One second, Jordan.

00:10:17 - 00:10:19 | Speaker 7:

You can't blame it on him. He's not even here.

00:10:19 - 00:10:23 | Speaker 5:

Sure I can. He blames it on me, right? All right, send him back.

00:10:24 - 00:10:25 | Speaker 8:

Okay. We're going to figure this out.

00:10:25 - 00:10:26 | Speaker 5:

We're going to figure this out.

00:10:26 - 00:10:32 | Speaker 8:

You guys, this is going to be fun to listen to today. A lot of them. Hey, Jordan, we got you?

00:10:34 - 00:10:35 | Speaker 6:

We have it. There we go.

00:10:35 - 00:10:38 | Speaker 8:

Jordan is on the phone. What's going on, Jordan?

00:10:39 - 00:10:41 | Speaker 6:

This is not good radio.

00:10:42 - 00:10:44 | Speaker 8:

Right. Get the drop ready.

00:10:44 - 00:10:46 | Speaker 6:

This is not good radio. All right.

00:10:46 - 00:10:50 | Speaker 8:

So what's going on, Jordan? You had a situation similar to Shannon's?

00:10:51 - 00:11:24 | Speaker 6:

So it was actually my sister and my mom. I'm coming back at myself now. we can we can hear you fine keep going okay i got an echo you can keep talking it's okay all right anyway anyway i'll try to get through it so my mom and sister were we're still living out when my mom he's struggling this is crazy he's struggling away from your ear and just talking to the phone

00:11:24 - 00:11:36 | Speaker 8:

yeah i'm talking to myself okay goodbye jordan we waited for you he wanted to say that his mom

00:11:36 - 00:11:40 | Speaker 1:

and his sister were using the same toothbrush for a week they were sharing the same one what

00:11:40 - 00:11:44 | Speaker 7:

how do you not realize that do you get grossed out if you use somebody else's oh for sure i'm

00:11:44 - 00:11:52 | Speaker 8:

throwing it away even if i think that i've used somebody else's toothbrush you're throwing it away it's over these are my teeth do you guys have like the little caps on your toothbrush

00:11:52 - 00:11:56 | Speaker 1:

That's why I differentiate ours. You got color caps? Yeah, we do.

00:11:57 - 00:12:03 | Speaker 7:

Everybody should do that. I've never done that. So I'm calling myself out for being gross, but I feel like every toothbrush should have a cap.

00:12:04 - 00:12:09 | Speaker 1:

Yeah, well, I think it's gross now. I heard that when you flush the toilet, the poop particles go in the air. So I don't want that touch on my toothbrush.

00:12:10 - 00:12:18 | Speaker 5:

Or the super on the D-minus students. Oh, and Shannon, the teacher's pet who got all A's. This is Mojo in the Morning.

Listen, you didn't like the first break, but I guarantee you, you'll love the first Dirty. Shannon, let's give it to him.

00:16:17 - 00:17:02 | Speaker 2:

All right, so after the Paris premiere of their upcoming movie, Caught Stealing, co-stars Austin Butler, And Zoe Kravitz were spotted at a bar looking all cozy. They were hugging and leaning in close. You could tell there was some sort of connection there. This was Saturday, I believe, if I'm not mistaken. Well, then yesterday, people were going crazy because Zoe Kravitz was spotted arm in arm with none other than Harry Styles in Rome. So two hot guys in one weekend and the fan comments on any video that I saw of Zoe and Harry Styles were basically, this was not on my bingo card for 2025, these two together.

00:17:02 - 00:17:06 | Speaker 3:

Zoe Kravitz is absolutely gorgeous. I love that woman.

00:17:06 - 00:17:49 | Speaker 2:

Hours of interviews between Jeffrey Epstein's right-hand woman, Ghislaine Maxwell, and a federal prosecutor were released by the Department of Justice on Friday. And some of the key takeaways, at least in my opinion, she says there is no client list, no incriminating list of people associated with Jeffrey Epstein that exists. And she traced that rumor's origin back to a civil lawsuit from 2009 when a lawyer claimed that he had some potentially relevant evidence, possibly involving notes or a journal from Epstein's butler. but she said there is no list that we keep hearing about. She said Epstein absolutely did not die by suicide.

00:17:49 - 00:18:06 | Speaker 1:

Do you think he did not die by suicide, given all the things we just talked about? I do not believe he died by suicide, no. And do you believe that, do you have any speculation or view of who killed him? No, I don't.

00:18:06 - 00:19:32 | Speaker 2:

She said she never saw Donald Trump behaving inappropriately. She actually called him a gentleman in all respects. Said Bill Clinton never visited Epstein's Island, contrary to all the rumors over the years. She said Prince Andrew never acted inappropriately. And that photo of him with accuser Virginia Jufri, the late Virginia Jufri, she said that is literally a fake photo. That never happened, the two of them. And she said that Jeffrey Epstein took testosterone, which changed him. She said starting in the late 1990s, he started taking testosterone, which she believed altered who he was as a person. It altered his character, making him more aggressive, shifted his desires. And that's when she noticed a change in her one-time friend. Is she in protective custody? It's a great question. I know she was just transferred in the past couple of weeks to a minimum security facility. So I think my answer to that would be no based on that. But yeah, I don't I mean, there are a lot of people. Mojo has said this for a long time that people, I'm assuming, are going to want to come after her. Right. You know, especially if something happened to him, which she insinuated here. So veteran actor Malcolm McDowell isn't a fan of his daughter-in-law, Lily Collins' Netflix series, Emily in Paris, which I love.

00:19:32 - 00:19:34 | Speaker 1:

I love that show. Oh, I love that show.

00:19:35 - 00:19:58 | Speaker 2:

So her own father-in-law goes, yeah, it's not my thing. Oh, my God. Could you imagine your father-in-law saying, he said, you know, I praise her as an actress. She is a phenomenal actress. and he highlighted her on-screen presence and acknowledged the positive impact, excuse me, the show has had on Paris tourism, but he just said, it's not a great show.

00:19:58 - 00:20:00 | Speaker 1:

I can see that. It's a little...

00:20:00 - 00:20:01 | Speaker 2:

It was cringy at first, but it's actually good.

00:20:02 - 00:20:16 | Speaker 1:

Love it. And lastly, the Jonas Brothers show at Fenway Park over the weekend. They brought out Jesse McCartney. They brought out Dashboard Confessionals, Chris Carraba. There was a Glenn Powell cameo and a little collab with, remember her, JoJo.

00:20:16 - 00:20:32 | Speaker 2:

Good morning. Hi. Good morning, Stanley. Good morning, Kevin. Good morning, Shannon. Good morning. Hey, Stanley, Mojo isn't here right now. He's here in spirit, but you're here. I want to know more about this pool party you had over the weekend, man. How'd it go?

00:21:21 - 00:21:22 | Speaker 2:

We had a lot of fun.

00:21:23 - 00:21:26 | Speaker 3:

That's what's up, man. Did you do any cannonballs?

00:21:27 - 00:21:28 | Speaker 2:

Not really, no.

00:21:29 - 00:21:42 | Speaker 3:

Okay, okay, okay. Doesn't strike me as that type. Okay, well, you're back, man. You're going for win number three. We got a brand-new contestant for you. Whoa, I think my mouth died. Got a new contestant for you from Dearborn Heights. We got Nick. What's up, Nick?

00:21:43 - 00:21:47 | Speaker 2:

00:21:47 - 00:21:55 | Speaker 3:

00:23:54 - 00:23:57 | Speaker 2:

Detroit Tigers or Detroit Lions.

00:23:58 - 00:23:59 | Unknown:

00:24:00 - 00:24:08 | Speaker 3:

Final question. Zoe Kravitz was spotted in Rome with This As It Was and Watermelon Sugar Singer yesterday. Who is he?

00:24:20 - 00:24:24 | Speaker 1:

00:24:24 - 00:24:25 | Unknown:

00:24:26 - 00:24:32 | Speaker 3:

Okay. Okay, we'll see if it's enough for Stanley. going for his third win. Stanley, you ready?

00:24:33 - 00:24:35 | Speaker 2:

What was the name of the long-running series about a prep school in New York City in which she played a character named Serena Vanderwoodson? Pass. Gossip Girl. Stays one to nothing. XOXO. Question number three. Brittany Cartwright has a new boyfriend following her split from Jax Taylor. What reality show made these two famous? Vanderpump Rules. Yes. Two to nothing. All right. It was a pretty big deal over the weekend when sports broadcaster our very own Jason Bonetti called two games in one day. This was Saturday. What two Detroit sports teams did he call games for? 00:25:54 - 00:26:00 | Speaker 1:

4-2, final score. Stanley Stevens, you're a certified cleaner. Stanley's back.

00:26:00 - 00:26:08 | Speaker 2:

You keep rolling, Stanley. You keep rolling. We need contestants, though. Yeah, give them some love, Nick. Give them some love.

00:26:08 - 00:26:08 | Speaker 1:

Thanks.

00:26:10 - 00:26:35 | Speaker 2:

We need contestants, though. Does anybody think that they can take on Stanley? Send a text message to 95500. Text I want to play. Lydia will get you on the list, and we'll see if anybody can knock off Stanley. Nick, you're not going home empty-handed. You've got a four-pack of tickets to Arts, Beats, and Eats this weekend in downtown Royal Oak. Tickets on sale at artsbeatsandeats.com. We'll see you out there having a ton of fun, my man, okay?

00:26:36 - 00:26:37 | Speaker 3:

Oh, I appreciate it.

00:26:37 - 00:26:52 | Speaker 2:

Thank you. No problem. Stanley. Yeah? Any wise words for your loyal supporters out there? Tomorrow you come back for win number four. Thanks, everybody, for supporting me. I want to shout out my coworkers and my friends and my family. All right. Love it, Stanley. We'll see you tomorrow.

00:26:53 - 00:27:08 | Speaker 3:

It's Mojo in the Mornings. 5 is 6.55. W-K-Q-I, Detroit. W-S-N-X, Muskegon, Grand Rapids. W-V-K-S, Toledo. This is Mojo in the Morning.

00:27:08 - 00:27:09 | Speaker 1:

Oh, Mojo, he's amazing.

00:27:10 - 00:27:11 | Speaker 3:

Live.

00:27:11 - 00:27:12 | Speaker 1:

Zach, you okay over there?

00:27:12 - 00:27:12 | Unknown:

Yeah.

00:27:13 - 00:27:45 | Speaker 2:

It's like, sure. Sometimes I don't know how Mojo does this, man. There's a lot going on. It's a reason he's Hall of Fame, man. If you didn't start the show with this, Mojo's in with some family stuff right now. So we're with him, and he's with us here in Spears. So we're holding down the show all, I guess, four hours, four and a half hours, all so long we're here? Yeah, yeah. All right, cool. All right, well, Mojo in the Morning Show, speaking of Mojo, we had an amazing time at his Hall of Fame party on Friday. Big shout out to Chelsea. They're on an amazing party. It was so fun.

00:27:45 - 00:27:51 | Speaker 1:

It was one of my, like, top five most fun nights of the year so far. I heard you had a good time.

00:27:53 - 00:28:15 | Speaker 2:

I heard you had quite the time. It was amazing, though, man. It was so many people that I've come to know and come to develop friendships with, you know, in this company and our friends and our partners and supporters. It was a lot of people in there. Yeah. And correct me if I'm wrong, but on the invite, it said it was supposed to start at 7 p.m.

00:28:16 - 00:28:23 | Speaker 1:

Yeah. I wonder where you're going with this because I have something to say to you. OK, OK. I want to hear it too. It was supposed to start at 7.

00:28:23 - 00:28:50 | Speaker 2:

It was supposed to start at 7. Now, I don't think anybody was actually there at 7. I don't think when somebody says like party start at 7, it's not like it's church or it's not like it's a graduation ceremony. and you were like, you show up on the time that it tells you to show up, right? You get a little leeway. And I don't believe it had an end time. Like, it wasn't like a start at 7, end at 11 thing, so get there early. That's true. I don't believe it had an end time. So in my mind, I don't think it did.

00:28:50 - 00:28:53 | Speaker 1:

Well, someone told me they stopped serving drinks at 12, so I assumed 12 was the end time.

00:28:54 - 00:29:28 | Speaker 2:

I didn't even have to. Okay, whatever. I didn't say it on anybody. All the time said it was be here, or not be here, but start at 7. Yes. So I know that I'm not going to get there at 7. I know that off-rip. Right. So I'm chilling, you know, a little pregame at the crib, figure out what, you know, I want to wear whatever the case may be. So I show up around eight forty five. Yeah, I didn't think you were coming. What? Why is that an issue? Literally, when I came in the door, Shannon, you are not the only person to be like, bro, what are you doing? I thought you were. What's going on? You're so late. Where have you been? You're so late.

00:29:28 - 00:30:00 | Speaker 1:

I don't think that I was late. Oh, you were almost two hours late. like so they did drinks they had all the food out and then speeches were happening and that's when no no no no you're you're wait a second speeches were happening and that's when i looked around and was like oh thank god so that we could all say something i did not see you until then and that was probably what nine nine thirty yeah but i hadn't seen you at all until then and then

00:30:00 - 00:30:04 | Speaker 4:

i saw you at the front of the room and i thought oh look who finally decided to come to the party

00:30:04 - 00:30:24 | Speaker 2:

i feel bad i blew up your phone so so i probably sent you maybe like 10 texts you did hey man how are you where are you at dog and i'm like on the way on the way and then when i finally see you someone hands you the money she's like i'm right on time i'm right on time bro 844-665-844-666

00:30:24 - 00:30:25 | Speaker 3:

What's the number?

00:30:25 - 00:30:27 | Speaker 6:

844-665-6548.

00:30:28 - 00:30:40 | Speaker 3:

Come on. Who's the late person in the family? What event did you show up late for? That whole thing. In my defense, though, I don't think I was late. You were. Because, to Shannon's point, I didn't miss any of the toasts, any of the speaking.

00:30:41 - 00:31:00 | Speaker 4:

Okay. But here's the thing. And I even found Bianca. It was either you or Lydia. I can't remember. And I was like, oh, we need to take a show photo. It was you. And because you were like, oh, Kev's not here yet. We can't take a show photo yet. All right. I was coming, though. And then we ended up never taking a show photo because everybody was drinking and, you know.

00:31:00 - 00:31:03 | Speaker 5:

I did not leave early. Yes, you did. You were there for, like, max an hour, Kev.

00:31:03 - 00:31:31 | Speaker 3:

No, I definitely was there for max two hours. No, no, no. Pull the tape. Hour and a half, we'll say. No, hour and a half, because I had to go get Josiah. I got Joe, I want to say, at, like, 11, 11-something. It took me, like, 25 minutes to get from the party to Joe. But look, here's the thing, though. If it says get there at a certain time, you don't necessarily have to arrive at that time. The biggest part of the event was when everybody was speaking and giving toast, right?

00:31:32 - 00:31:54 | Speaker 5:

I think you should be maxed 45 minutes late, which is what I was, 45 minutes late. But here's the thing. You're part of the show. You see Mojo every day. I think it's respectful to be not two hours late. What are you talking about? I'm there for Mojo. Yeah, but you weren't there long enough, I don't think. What are you talking about? I don't know. I just don't think you were there long enough. I think you should have been longer. I think you should stay late. Because I'm trying to say, like, are you in agreement with her? Or am I, like, crazy for feeling like she's crazy?

00:31:54 - 00:31:59 | Speaker 4:

I do think you were a little too late. I don't think you need to be there at 7. I wasn't there at 7.

00:31:59 - 00:32:01 | Speaker 5:

I think 7.45, 8 is good arrival time.

00:32:02 - 00:32:06 | Speaker 3:

Okay, and then, so if I stay there at 8, I'm supposed to be like y'all and stay all the way till midnight?

00:32:06 - 00:32:14 | Speaker 4:

No, here's where you know you're late. When everybody there was going, where's Kevin? Is Kev coming? Is Kev coming?

00:32:15 - 00:32:26 | Speaker 5:

Yeah, like, where is he? It's crazy because we're on the way there, and I know my dad called it. He's like, watch Kevin show up at 9, 930. I wonder why he said that. He just knows you too much.

00:32:26 - 00:32:27 | Speaker 3:

I love your dad.

00:32:27 - 00:32:28 | Speaker 5:

We'll get into that later.

00:32:28 - 00:32:35 | Speaker 3:

I want to talk to Erin, though. Good morning, Erin. Who's the late person in your family, man? Erin?

00:32:37 - 00:32:38 | Speaker 6:

Hey, good morning.

00:32:38 - 00:32:40 | Speaker 3:

Hey, good morning, Erin. Who's the late one in your family?

00:32:41 - 00:32:43 | Speaker 6:

My future sister-in-law.

00:32:44 - 00:32:45 | Unknown:

Uh-oh.

00:32:45 - 00:32:58 | Speaker 6:

What's the story? She is late for every single thing, and she's a bride despite me in my wedding, and I think she's going to be late for that.

00:32:58 - 00:33:04 | Speaker 4:

Oh, God. Wait, you said she was late, or you're warning her not to be late? Did it already happen? No.

00:33:04 - 00:33:14 | Speaker 6:

No, it's going to come in October, but I'm going to have to tell her, like, be here at 6 a.m. I don't trust her.

00:33:14 - 00:33:23 | Speaker 3:

Yes. You better start having those conversations now. I feel like if they're a notorious layperson, you've got to have as many conversations as possible because the one conversation probably isn't going to be enough.

00:33:24 - 00:33:25 | Unknown:

Yeah.

00:33:25 - 00:33:34 | Speaker 3:

Well, congratulations to you. Oh, thank you. Make sure to tag us in a picture so we can check them out and repost them. Hey, Tyler, good morning, man. Who's the layperson in your family?

00:33:34 - 00:33:40 | Speaker 1:

Good morning. So I was late for a funeral.

00:33:41 - 00:33:42 | Speaker 3:

Oh, you're the layperson.

00:33:42 - 00:34:19 | Speaker 1:

so my my ex and i were habitually late for everything everything everything so uh my grandmother died and the funeral was on a certain day and um my parents told us that the funeral we had to be there at nine so my ex and i come screaming into the parking lot at 8 59 and nobody from my family is there yet and they started to trickle in over the next you know 20 minutes and then we realized oh man we are the people that are so late that they have to tell

00:34:19 - 00:34:26 | Speaker 4:

us the wrong time for a funeral oh but you know what don't you appreciate that because that's your

00:34:26 - 00:34:39 | Speaker 1:

final goodbye you don't get a redo absolutely poor grandma yep but somehow it took years until that moment to figure out that we were the late people oh yeah man poor grandma man sheesh i want

00:34:39 - 00:34:54 | Speaker 3:

to talk to sherry though i'm sorry i'm talking to sherry sherry i'm reading on the screen here you said i was disrespectful for the time i showed up absolutely why because it felt like

00:34:54 - 00:35:00 | Speaker 6:

It was an open house. It was a party and it was.

00:35:00 - 00:35:27 | Speaker 4:

We never know what Mojo would have done. I can't go there. But that's my thing, because I see some text messages here agreeing with Bianca that because I'm a part of the show, I should have been there early. And in my defense, it's not like it's a podcast. It's not like it's a show event. So it's not like it's that, you know what I mean, where I have to show up and do something. I'm here to support a friend.

00:35:30 - 00:35:32 | Speaker 5:

Are you going to show up two hours late for a wedding?

00:35:34 - 00:35:45 | Speaker 4:

I don't know. Depends if I like the person or agree with the wedding. Hey, Danielle, what's up? What's up, Danielle?

00:35:47 - 00:35:51 | Speaker 5:

Yeah, it's me. I'm always late for everything.

00:35:51 - 00:35:52 | Speaker 2:

Oh, you're the late one.

00:35:53 - 00:36:00 | Speaker 5:

My grandma will be like, dinner's at 6, but dinner's not until like 6.45. See, everybody's learning.

00:36:00 - 00:36:10 | Speaker 4:

Now, when it comes to dinners, I'm with that. I'm with that for dinners, especially if it's like a Thanksgiving thing because everybody waiting to the last minute, football's on, Uncle William got to pray. It's going to take forever.

00:36:12 - 00:36:21 | Speaker 5:

Yeah, they did it with one of my cousin's weddings, too, and I literally, like, was in the wedding and got there, like, seven minutes before the wedding started.

00:36:21 - 00:36:23 | Speaker 6:

Oh, my God, I'd be having a heart attack. Yeah, that's different.

00:36:23 - 00:36:24 | Speaker 4:

Whose wedding was it?

00:36:24 - 00:36:25 | Speaker 6:

I have a lot of kids, though, too.

00:36:26 - 00:36:28 | Speaker 4:

That's the excuse? Does that fly?

00:36:30 - 00:36:35 | Speaker 5:

It just puts you behind on everything. Somebody always does something when you're trying to walk out the door.

00:36:35 - 00:36:38 | Speaker 4:

I dig that. Hey, Jamal, good morning, man. How are you?

00:36:41 - 00:36:41 | Unknown:

Jamal.

00:36:42 - 00:36:47 | Speaker 4:

Hey, Jamal. Oh, good morning. What's up, Jamal? Good morning. You're late answering the phone, man. What's going on?

00:36:48 - 00:37:24 | Speaker 3:

Yeah, man. It's a late morning, man. But I love moms to death, but she is notorious for being late. We recently had a family photo shoot, and she was an hour late for that. Luckily, the photographer was my guy, and he understood, but she really just showed up like everything was good. And mind you, we were outside on the hottest day in Detroit. so by the time we were ready to take the photos everybody was already drenched up oh i just

00:37:24 - 00:37:31 | Speaker 4:

and mom was looking amazing yeah and you can't say anything because it's mom i mean what are

00:37:31 - 00:37:37 | Speaker 3:

you gonna say to mom you can't you can't you do you just got to take it just got to deal with it

00:37:37 - 00:37:41 | Speaker 4:

all right last caller on this one amanda good morning amanda who's the late one

00:37:41 - 00:38:40 | Speaker 6:

so i am like chronically oh do you hear an echo no you're good okay sorry i was hearing an echo but i think it's good now um i am chronically on time or early but i accidentally showed up at my friend's baby shower at the end time instead of the start time and i was crushed how did you get the times mixed up i don't really know it like started at one and ended at three and i think i just saw that on the invitation and yeah that kind of messed up but i think people who are like habitually late and like joke about it like it's their personality trait are super disrespectful to everyone around them red flag huh yeah it makes me really angry and i just think it shows that you don't care about the people around you if it's like a thing you do all the time says the person that showed up at the

00:38:40 - 00:38:50 | Speaker 4:

end of the baby shower huh hey leonard you'll be our last call leonard what's up hey what's going

00:38:50 - 00:39:17 | Speaker 7:

on y'all what's going on man oh i'm late for every time i look at it like if i ain't game pay then i ain't gonna be on time i get there when i get there respectfully you said you said if you aren't getting paid you get there when you get there yeah so anything outside of going to work i'll get there when i get there i'm gonna be there at a respectable time look linda gonna

00:39:17 - 00:39:19 | Speaker 4:

be late to his own funeral

00:39:19 - 00:39:28 | Speaker 7:

I can't hear that. Mom and the sweet smell of back to school. What is the smell of coffee breath and broken dreams? This is Mojo in the Morning.

00:39:29 - 00:40:04 | Speaker 1:

Kaji. Hey, what up? What's going on? Nothing. We're chilling out here, but I have a little dilemma real quick I want to talk about. Okay. So Lydia has a little birthday trip that we're doing with a couple of her friends in like a couple weeks, two weeks. and we all had to pay a certain amount of money for the hotel and like the Airbnb and like just to go on the trip so I'm deciding is that her gift me paying to go on this trip or do I still have to get her a birthday present Wait, wait, start over. So Lydia's birthday is coming up. You're going on a trip.

00:40:04 - 00:40:17 | Speaker 4:

I had to pay for the stay of the trip. So is that me paying and me going and my presence of being there, is that the gift? Or do I still have to get her a gift on top of me paying for the stay?

00:40:18 - 00:40:23 | Speaker 1:

Are you helping to pay for Lydia's portion of the trip? I don't know, Lydia. What's the calculations here?

00:40:23 - 00:40:25 | Speaker 3:

No, I'm paying for my own portion.

00:40:25 - 00:40:34 | Speaker 1:

Got you. So you're going on a trip. It's Lydia's birthday. You're not paying for her stay or travel at all. Only for yours.

00:40:34 - 00:40:34 | Speaker 4:

Yeah.

00:40:34 - 00:40:38 | Speaker 1:

And you're asking, should you still get her a gift?

00:40:38 - 00:40:54 | Speaker 5:

Yes. I feel like I would feel weird not at least giving her a little something. I probably wouldn't give her something like I would if it was just like a dinner here or you guys were hanging out at her house. But I always, I don't know, I can't show up empty-handed.

00:40:54 - 00:41:05 | Speaker 3:

even if it was just a card yeah i'm not expecting a gift because i feel like the money that you guys are paying that's going towards this airbnb is more than enough than i could ever ask for well

00:41:05 - 00:41:12 | Speaker 4:

i was still thinking about getting her a gift there was something i'm like i was kind of between a couple things so i'm like i don't know what's appropriate given the fact that i'm already

00:41:12 - 00:41:17 | Speaker 5:

paying to go on this trip the best part is she just said she she is not expecting anything from

00:41:17 - 00:41:26 | Speaker 4:

you okay but people always say that they're not expecting a gift like come on even at mojo's party chelsea's like no gifts and then there's a whole gift table guys we gotta talk about that

00:41:26 - 00:41:31 | Speaker 5:

okay anyway yes um i don't know i'd bring a little something i feel like you have to

00:41:31 - 00:41:54 | Speaker 1:

and i think shannon just hit the nail on the head with the little something now i think the beautiful thing about it is that you and lydia have a clear relationship and understanding of who each other are so i don't think you gotta spend crazy amounts of money in order to show her your affection i think you just get her something that kind of speaks to you all but You cannot use your presents as the excuse of wanting to bring her a gift.

00:41:55 - 00:41:56 | Speaker 4:

I know. I'm going to get her a bag of Drizzleicious.

00:41:56 - 00:42:01 | Speaker 3:

But it's the expense to me. Like, you already paid to come.

00:42:01 - 00:42:27 | Speaker 5:

So I feel like that is a gift. Lydia, you are sweet, by the way. And obviously, like, we know your character. But there are so many people, and I say this particularly with, like, brides and bachelorette parties and stuff where people are traveling. and then they expect a gift and they expect you know you to pay for the the travel in the hotel and the airbnb and all of the things and i know that's not you so yeah yeah well i'm not gonna

00:42:27 - 00:42:56 | Speaker 4:

lie i went for like my friend's 21st birthday went to nashville and i didn't get her a gift because i it was like a whole weekend thing and i was like okay i'm like i'm buying money i'm spending money to buy her like drinks and like the hotel and everything was like a whole weekend end but um and did she get mad that you didn't give her a gift no oh honestly i don't know i didn't i didn't really ask do y'all still talk yeah we're still friends but like i don't know lydia's different i don't know lydia's different so i'm like i think i gotta spoil her for her

00:42:56 - 00:43:14 | Speaker 1:

birthday up a little bit 844 mojo live 844-665-6548 give us a call let us know your take if you've ever been in a situation where like shannon said we travel for a wedding is that the money that you spend is that the gift is your presence enough or do you got to get them

00:43:14 - 00:43:18 | Speaker 4:

you still got to pay for your plate too on top of that hey melissa good morning

00:43:18 - 00:43:24 | Speaker 1:

hey melissa hey good morning what do you think of this situation good morning

00:43:24 - 00:43:37 | Speaker 2:

i think if she would be solid if she just got her like a dinner or a couple drinks or i think it was kp who said buying a card like just something small would be fine and appropriate

00:43:37 - 00:43:45 | Speaker 1:

Yeah. So go on the trip, spend the money for a trip, and while you're up there, kind of just treat her out to a nice night, and that should be enough.

00:43:47 - 00:43:50 | Speaker 4:

Yeah, definitely. I'm going to get Lillian drunk on some cherry wine up there then.

00:43:52 - 00:43:57 | Speaker 1:

Melissa, have you ever been in a situation like this where you had to travel for something and you ran into this?

00:43:58 - 00:44:16 | Speaker 2:

Definitely. I was actually just at a Batswara party this weekend where we had to go out of state for it and spent lots of money on the airbnb and versions so same idea i bought the bride a couple drinks and you're good i felt like that was fair now for the for the other bridesmaids or the other

00:44:16 - 00:44:32 | Speaker 1:

friends that were on the trip did anybody bring her a gift uh no not outside of the panty game and yeah tell me tell me more what's this well it's kind of early i guess What's the panty game? I want to know.

00:44:32 - 00:44:33 | Speaker 2:

You don't know about the panty game?

00:44:33 - 00:44:35 | Speaker 1:

I've never been to a Bachelorette party.

00:44:37 - 00:44:44 | Speaker 2:

It's where everyone gets to bride a pair of panties, and she has to guess who they came from, and they're very elaborate.

00:44:45 - 00:44:51 | Speaker 5:

You can kind of guess who gave you which panties by, like, personalities.

00:44:51 - 00:44:54 | Speaker 1:

So what was the panties you got, Melissa? What's your personality?

00:44:56 - 00:45:00 | Speaker 2:

Mine says all you can eat. Oh! Oh!

00:45:00 - 00:45:14 | Speaker 5:

All right. Let's go. Let's make her a misfit. Let's go to Mason. Mason, my man, good morning. What do you think it is? Shikaji, get Lydia a gift, or is her present the presence?

00:45:14 - 00:45:14 | Speaker 3:

My presence.

00:45:14 - 00:45:22 | Speaker 5:

Yeah. Mason, you there, my man? Oh, yeah, yeah. No, it's all good, man. What do you think?

00:45:23 - 00:45:35 | Speaker 4:

I think she should just buy her a drink because we're already going on a trip and spending a lot of time together. And I think a drink is just plenty enough. You guys are having fun together and making members.

00:45:36 - 00:45:45 | Speaker 3:

All right. That's fair enough. Everyone's been saying just get her a drink. But I feel like that's so basic. Like if every girl there is like, I'm going to get Lydia a drink. I'm going to get Lydia a drink. All right. Lydia will love it.

00:45:45 - 00:45:49 | Speaker 2:

I will love it. She'll have a weekend of espresso martinis. She'll be happy.

00:45:49 - 00:45:57 | Speaker 5:

But what do you do in a situation where somebody else brings her a gift? Like do you feel obligated at that point? Do you feel like, dang, like I didn't get her anything.

00:45:57 - 00:46:03 | Speaker 3:

But what if I'm the only person that brings her a gift? Will I look like a kiss booty? A kiss booty.

00:46:05 - 00:46:14 | Speaker 5:

I don't think so. I think you grab her a present. Again, it doesn't have to be crazy. A drink, I feel like, is, oh, you just can't just buy it. That's a regular day.

00:46:15 - 00:46:18 | Speaker 3:

I like to get drinks every time we go out. Because I do.

00:46:19 - 00:46:28 | Speaker 2:

What do you mean? And honestly, get her a little something, like I said, like a card and a little something, and give it to her before you go so it doesn't get lost in, like, the craziness.

00:46:28 - 00:46:44 | Speaker 3:

Lydia, what do you want for your birthday? Nothing. Don't ask me that. That's so awful. Last year, I literally got Lydia a bag of oranges. What? For her birthday? She did, yeah. And I left them at the studio. You are lying. Why did you think that was a good gift? Because every day I was bringing her cuties, so I just got her a gift.

00:46:44 - 00:46:46 | Speaker 2:

All right, don't get her a gift. Just buy her a drink.

00:46:48 - 00:46:53 | Speaker 1:

Neither new nor improved, but still better than the rest. Just mojo in the morning.

00:46:54 - 00:47:05 | Speaker 5:

Mojo in the Morning Show. Shannon, you and Wes looked amazing at the party this Fast Friday. Thank you. Thought you looked great. Thank you. You had a bit of a scowl on your face, though. I don't know if there was a little bit of drama at all.

00:47:07 - 00:47:09 | Speaker 2:

Just now or on Friday night?

00:47:09 - 00:47:10 | Speaker 5:

On Friday, I feel like.

00:47:10 - 00:47:17 | Speaker 2:

I did? Yeah. No, I didn't. You didn't? No, I was having the best night. Maybe I'm misreading it then. What are you talking about?

00:47:18 - 00:47:20 | Speaker 5:

How's everything with you and Wes? Is everything okay?

00:47:20 - 00:48:47 | Speaker 2:

No, we're good. You know what's so funny, though? Friday night was so funny. he is the best date to go to some to go to anything with but he is like he's so fun he's like always on the dance floor like he was great Saturday I woke up not feeling my finest because of Friday night um and so we decided on Saturday to just kind of lay low which I have not had a day like that in a really long time where there's nothing on my calendar yeah so it was really nice We like walked and got breakfast and then we pretty much just pretty much just lounged all day, like stayed in sweatpants and watch TV and we door dashed Thai food and we were so lazy, but it was great. But it did get to a point in the night where we had watched a couple of things and then we didn't know what to watch next. And so we went through all the streaming services. I don't know if you guys get like this. We went we went through Netflix. We went through Prime. We went through Apple. We went through YouTube TV. And couldn't find anything that seemed interesting or that we hadn't already seen or that we agreed on. This went on for like 20 minutes, 25 minutes. He got so irritated and pissed off that he goes, I need to go for a walk. Left the house and went on a walk. And I thought this is the dumbest reason to get into a fight that we could not find something to watch on TV.

00:48:47 - 00:48:48 | Speaker 5:

I feel it though.

00:48:48 - 00:48:51 | Speaker 2:

To the point that he left the house.

00:48:51 - 00:49:09 | Speaker 5:

Listen, I feel it. I feel you, Wes. The amount of money that we spend on these streaming services, I feel like I should be able to go on there and immediately select something. But then I get to a point where I'm like, is it me or is it the streaming service? Because clearly there's no shortage of content that's available, so why can't I find something?

00:49:10 - 00:49:53 | Speaker 2:

That was the thing. And I told him, I was like, Wes, we're in the middle of three different shows. Let's just watch an episode. I don't really want to do that. okay well we have a shared list on our notes app of movies that we want to see together well i don't know if i want to do that we both hadn't seen the godfather and so i'm like let's watch the godfather we keep talking about this it's three hours long i don't know if i want to watch that i'm like all right and this went on and on and on and it just got to a point where he had had enough went on a walk i got it so when he came back what did you guys do um we put like something some stupid bank robber show on Netflix, which was so dumb, and after 10 minutes, we turned it off and went upstairs and just went to bed. But it was late by then, anyway. My go-to show

00:49:53 - 00:49:58 | Speaker 3:

when I have nothing to watch, honestly, is Spongebob. Oh, no. Shannon now watching that game.

00:50:00 - 00:50:04 | Speaker 2:

wrong audience but have you guys ever gotten into a fight for the dumbest reason and it was

00:50:04 - 00:51:00 | Speaker 1:

legitimately an argument because of it what was the dumbest fight you got into 844 mojo live 844 665 6548 just so petty yeah i've been in a lot of those i feel like just stupid fight situations a lot of them i feel like are based on television or what do you want to eat and then just getting frustrated because the person can't make a freaking selection on what they want to eat now i'm not even hungry anymore my voice is getting irritated all of that kind of stuff man josiah and i got into a little fight over this weekend because i didn't pause the television when he went in the kitchen and we're watching this show called invincible on prime and i guess i was just it's an amazing show and i guess in my mind i was just supposed to know that when you get up and walk away that i'm supposed to he came back like what are you doing you kept it going without me i'm like Relax. He's like, you're supposed to know. Ridiculous. Let's go to Ruben. Good morning, Ruben. How you doing, my man? Ruben, what's up?

00:51:01 - 00:51:08 | Speaker 4:

Hey, what's up, though? I was going to ask Shannon. Hi. Shannon, if y'all finish watching The Hunting Lies?

00:51:09 - 00:51:21 | Speaker 2:

No. Okay. So, Ruben, that was one of the shows that I said. We're only three episodes in. I don't think he loves it as much as I love it. So, I've decided that I'm just going to watch that one by myself without him and finish it.

00:51:21 - 00:51:23 | Speaker 1:

Okay. It's a good show.

00:51:24 - 00:51:24 | Speaker 2:

Yeah.

00:51:24 - 00:51:37 | Speaker 1:

Good question, though. Yeah, good question. It is a great show. I'm surprised he doesn't want to watch it with all the lesbian loving it. Angela, good morning. How are you? What's up, Angela?

00:51:39 - 00:52:07 | Speaker 3:

Hi. So my cousin got into a fight the other morning with her boyfriend about the drip pan in the oven. About the what? I was taking the drip pan in the bottom of the oven. wait how did that spark an argument he took it out to cook dinner and he like told them what it was and he got so mad that she thought he didn't know what it was that wow a stupid thing that

00:52:07 - 00:52:12 | Speaker 1:

still causes arguments was it a pretty bad argument or were they able to get over it quickly

00:52:12 - 00:52:31 | Speaker 3:

or the drip still no she i was out door dashing in grand rapids and she followed me and was like where are you? And I was like, door dashing. And she's like, can you come get me? I'm walking to your house. I'm like, oh my God, what happened? She's like, we got into a big fight over the damn trip.

00:52:32 - 00:52:37 | Speaker 1:

And she left the house? She left walking. She pulled a West. She did.

00:52:40 - 00:52:44 | Speaker 5:

00:55:33 - 00:56:54 | Speaker 1:

second dirty of the day how dirty is it okay let's go benny blanco who is selena gomez's fiance if you're not aware posted a tiktok over the weekend where he was eating this box of blueberry did you see this no i didn't okay so it's a block it's a box of blueberries and each blueberry very big juicy perfect blueberry is individually packaged so it almost looks like You open up a box of chocolates and how they each have their own slot. This box of blueberries has a price tag of $200. So he's sitting there and he's talking about this and he's eating these huge, delicious, he said each blueberry is like a meal. I mean, just like was going off about these, how great these blueberries were. Well, people were like, this is so tone deaf. I can't even afford groceries. yet you're sitting here showing off this $200 box of blueberries. And there were comments like, sir, we are not rich enough to relate to this. And others are writing, meanwhile, many people can't even afford life, yet you're eating this $200 box of blueberries. Now, a lot of people did defend him saying, look, he did not buy the blueberries. He was sent the blueberries, either as a gift or a PR thing. he was just marveling at the fact that this is a thing.

00:56:55 - 00:56:57 | Speaker 2:

Context matter. They can't be that good now. I'm going to be honest with you.

00:56:57 - 00:57:04 | Speaker 1:

It was like the $30 Irwan strawberry. Do you remember that? No, I don't. From that really fancy. I think it's called Irwan.

00:57:05 - 00:57:06 | Speaker 2:

My taste buds ain't that expensive.

00:57:07 - 00:57:13 | Speaker 1:

That really fancy L.A. grocery store. And everybody was going to get this strawberry that was like $20 or $30 or something.

00:57:14 - 00:57:17 | Speaker 2:

Regular food should be free. Preach.

00:57:18 - 00:57:36 | Speaker 1:

Tom Hiddleston got really uncomfortable during an interview this weekend when he was asked about his relationship with his ex-girlfriend, Taylor Swift. The question caught him off guard to the point where you're going to hear two other interviewers talking, and Tom got really quiet at the mention of Taylor's name.

00:57:36 - 00:57:46 | Speaker 3:

We did just find out Taylor Swift, big fan of a sourdough recipe blog. Very, very specific, but I can see how you can get into that.

00:57:46 - 00:58:13 | Speaker 4:

wait that feels like an easter egg or something no i think it might be like something to do with the super bowl oh you think she's teasing the fact that she's quiet where's the super bowl which city and then isn't the sourdough the mascot for that city or something i feel like there's a little you've got deep knowledge of the nfl no i just i literally saw a tiktok of this about this subject matter i tell you what if that is true that is pretty impressive that's Maybe, I don't know.

00:58:14 - 00:59:35 | Speaker 1:

The only thing he said there was, he was like, I will have nothing to do with talking about Taylor Swift and any Easter eggs associated with her. Like his brother, Lyle Menendez is not leaving jail anytime soon. That's the latest there in case you missed it on Friday. Lyle, along with his brother, Eric, convicted for the 1989 murders of their parents in Beverly Hills. And after serving 36 years in prison, both brothers became eligible for parole following re-sentencing to 50 years to life. Well, Eric's parole hearing was Thursday. We told you Friday morning he was denied. Basically, he's been a bad boy in jail, so they're not letting him out anytime soon. And then on Friday, his brother Lyle faced the parole board, and his hearing concluded with a similar outcome. Both brothers denied parole for three years, but here's the thing. They could request it again in a year, So there could be another parole hearing like 12 to 18 months from now. We'll be doing this story all over again. Cold Plays. Chris Martin helped a fan propose during the shows, during the band show at Wembley Stadium over the weekend. This was funny because the band, or the band, excuse me, the person in the crowd was holding up a poster board that said, I want to propose. But Chris Martin was like, wait a second. I know how this goes. Are people going viral? We're going to do some security checks first.

00:59:35 - 00:59:51 | Speaker 3:

My brother, I need you to nod as I do some very basic security checks, okay? Is this person your partner? Yes, no one else's partner, okay? Are you cousins or siblings or anything weird like that? No.

00:59:51 - 00:59:58 | Speaker 1:

Is this person your partner? So the fan kneels down to propose, and it becomes this beautiful moment.

00:59:58 - 01:00:19 | Speaker 3:

Well, listen. I'm so sappy. I love moments like this.

01:00:19 - 01:00:24 | Speaker 6:

Can I tell you what I've been watching the last two minutes? Vinnie Blanco eating these blueberries.

01:00:26 - 01:00:28 | Speaker 4:

They're perfect and they're huge.

01:00:28 - 01:00:30 | Speaker 6:

They are perfect. They got the Criss Crunch tool.

01:00:30 - 01:00:47 | Speaker 4:

By the way, you can go to Kroger and buy the jumbo blueberries and they're like six bucks. Which is still expensive. Sometimes you can get them for $4.99, but it's a huge container of them. And they're like this big, Zach. They're like quarters.

01:00:48 - 01:00:52 | Speaker 6:

Nothing's worse than buying like some blueberries and then they are soft and mushy. Yeah, they got to be crunchy.

01:00:53 - 01:01:35 | Speaker 4:

Okay, and lastly, this is really, really important. If you have Gmail, which I do, I just did this. Google has confirmed that hackers are gaining access to Gmail accounts like crazy right now and that compromised passwords are behind a significant number of these breaches. So if you are hearing this, change your passwords and upgrade your security settings ASAP. They're also recommending adding a passkey and avoiding the use of passwords and two-factor authentication. So just be really careful about downloading attachments and phishing scams. Don't click on anything that you don't know where it came from and change your password. Mojo in the morning show. Man, got a question to ask you guys. in terms of like when and where it's appropriate to hit on someone or to make a move on someone i need to know where the do's and don'ts are 844 mojo live 844-665-6548 now obviously this comes because i had a situation and i didn't act on it because i don't feel as though it is appropriate i was in church yesterday okay and shout out to motor city church amazing church amazing pastor josh hockey and amazing women who also attend this church i i don't know if these women it's like what they say to it's like the land of milk and honey there are some beautiful some beautiful women that have chosen this place as the place to love the lord and i am in a position to where obviously like i'm not there for that i'm there to focus on being fed i'm focused on growing my knowledge you know in christ my relationship and josiah and that's what we're doing but it's hard because i'm not blind so i see what's around but i don't feel as though i can talk to anybody there because that just feels wrong i a million percent disagree with you

01:07:10 - 01:07:24 | Speaker 4:

actually okay because you are both there because you have a very foundational similarity in your love for god i think it's a great place to meet somebody now i've heard that like if you want to

01:07:24 - 01:07:44 | Speaker 2:

find your wife especially if you're a believer the church is the place to do it yeah you already know to your point the foundation yeah but also don't i feel like that's your time for your relationship with god like how do you like how do you even receive that like bro did you just not hear the sermon like now you're trying to talk to me you know what i mean like i just feel like

01:07:44 - 01:08:36 | Speaker 4:

that'd be a little weird i mean okay first off there is a church in royal oak that i don't know if they still do it well i know they have a sunday 6 p.m service and it's been dubbed the ass mass because so many because so many singles go to that particular service before starting the week and it became for a long time when i was single i remember people telling me you need i don't even want to shout out the church just in case they don't do it anymore but you need to go to such and such church sundays at six o'clock for the ass mass like people were meeting people were meeting each other like crazy at this church so it was a thing i've gone to a church before when i lived in atlanta that had singles um small groups that had singles bible studies because they want like they they wanted to influence that now that i'm now that i'm okay uh-huh like if it's

01:08:36 - 01:08:52 | Speaker 2:

an environment that i don't want to say necessarily caters towards hooking up but fostering healthy relationships for those individuals that are single that maybe want to learn more about their single journey and their walk and then i find somebody who's also on that same path that i can

01:08:52 - 01:09:01 | Speaker 4:

feel is a more appropriate situation so what's the difference you just you feel uncomfortable walking up to one of these women after the service and asking her for her number asking her out or

01:09:01 - 01:09:08 | Speaker 2:

because we was just in church like in my mind when i leave church it's my time to meditate and

01:09:08 - 01:09:11 | Speaker 4:

chew on the word that i just received while the service is happening yeah i'm talking about

01:09:11 - 01:09:44 | Speaker 2:

afterwards my brain doesn't just when you know the final organ plays or the doors of the church are open when i walk out of there i'm shut it off and i'm back in the world like i'm still meditating and still digesting and downloading the experience that i just had yeah and to immediately leave out of that experience be like hey man i know this isn't like this isn't the right place and try to hit on somebody just feels like are you not connected to what just happened and you so connected to wanting to talk to me that you immediately are able to make that switch like i feel like that's just too close like i should still be in the mind frame of the sermon

01:09:44 - 01:10:00 | Speaker 3:

we just had i feel you on that actually um when i go to church there's a lot of cute guys at my church i'm not gonna lie you go to ass mass we go to 7 p.m mass not the 6 p.m okay but i am the same way as kevin i will never like try to hit on a guy well first of all

01:10:00 - 01:10:26 | Speaker 6:

I'm learning from Lydia I shouldn't be hitting on a guy but I was at a church event like a couple weeks ago and a guy did ask for my number at church and he was like hey like we should start talking more and were you flattered and did you give him your number yes I did I thought it was kind of cute so it's a church event though it is a church event it wasn't like after a mass it was like a event we were having so I think that's a respectable spot but if someone were to ask me as I'm walking out of mass I would be like this is a little weird right I'm not gonna lie I think

01:10:26 - 01:10:43 | Speaker 1:

But don't you hang out and stuff like after church, I go to Kensington and after church, a lot of people always hang out in the lobby. There's coffee, there's donuts, there's, you know, like that's an event. I think that's a respectable. Sometimes they have a food truck, whatever. You wouldn't you wouldn't ask. You wouldn't go talk to somebody then.

01:10:43 - 01:10:50 | Speaker 3:

When I leave the sermon, my brain and my energy is still locked on to what I just experienced.

01:10:50 - 01:11:02 | Speaker 1:

So you're telling me you're in a very good, clear state of mind, which is so different from you being out at a bar intoxicated asking for somebody's number. True. I don't know. And your brain is foggy.

01:11:03 - 01:11:23 | Speaker 3:

844-665-6548. Is it right to ask for a number after church or is that an inappropriate place? And are there other places that are inappropriate to ask or hit on someone as well? Let's go to Michael on line one. Michael, good morning, man. What's up? What's up, Kev? How you doing, man? I'm good, man. What's your take on this?

01:11:24 - 01:11:36 | Speaker 4:

So, I would say an appropriate time and place would definitely by themselves. You don't want to do it in front of their friends. Ever. You said... Make sure you're by yourself.

01:11:37 - 01:11:38 | Speaker 3:

Say that again?

01:11:39 - 01:11:42 | Speaker 4:

Don't hit on women in front of their group of friends.

01:11:43 - 01:11:47 | Speaker 3:

Oh, so if you see a group of women, don't single one out.

01:11:48 - 01:11:48 | Speaker 4:

Yeah, yeah, yeah.

01:11:48 - 01:11:51 | Speaker 3:

Because you know that they're going to laugh at you once you walk away.

01:11:51 - 01:11:55 | Speaker 4:

Right, right. They're going to be clowning, and it's just not going to be a good team.

01:11:55 - 01:11:58 | Speaker 3:

Okay. You sound like you have some experience with this. Did this happen to you?

01:11:59 - 01:12:05 | Speaker 4:

No, no, no. I've been out bar hopping a lot and stuff like that, and I just see my friends make fools out of their selves.

01:12:06 - 01:12:13 | Speaker 3:

So talk to us, man. If you see a woman who's in a group, how do you get her away from the group in order to talk to her? You just let that one go.

01:12:14 - 01:12:27 | Speaker 4:

No, sometimes if you're smooth with it, you can just walk up and be like, hey can i talk to you for a second real quick it's like oh sure you know i mean if you're you know look good smelling good just pulling up with straight confidence no i am not walking away with

01:12:27 - 01:12:41 | Speaker 2:

you nope big no you don't end up on a tiktok hey lauren good morning good morning what do you got

01:12:41 - 01:13:18 | Speaker 5:

to say um so recently i was hit on at my apartment gym and it's like an 800 square foot gym there's like two treadmills and some free weights but there's not a lot going on there it's a really small space so it's really uncomfortable and i have a partner oh okay to put it in contact yeah you should see shannon's face like i i rolled out of bed and i was like i'll just shower after good that's fine so i'm froze i'm wearing my glasses like it's saturday morning i'm like this is the worst place what about me is attractive right now not even that because i'm sure you

01:13:18 - 01:13:27 | Speaker 1:

look beautiful and i mean you're working out you know you're not made up to like go out but it's the fact that then you are trapped in this little teeny tiny space for the rest of your workout with

01:13:27 - 01:13:39 | Speaker 5:

this person right and i will like run into him every so often and i'm like hey like what do you say i said like you're a good i have a partner but you're a good gym buddy like what you're a

01:13:39 - 01:13:50 | Speaker 3:

good gym buddy that's hilarious all right i want to talk to josh uh because we i think josh may have some advice for me on this about talking to women in church josh what what advice you got for

01:13:50 - 01:14:17 | Speaker 2:

me hey guys so that's what i say first time long time what's up josh yep i just want to add go ahead josh i'm listening to you what's that what's stopping you from just asking as young ladies out and digesting you together over a coffee or something i mean yeah i mean

01:14:17 - 01:14:47 | Speaker 3:

that's a point i just i just want to be respectful of the moment we just had and i feel as though if i'm immediately i guess silencing the experience that we just received to say hey you look cold as hell you know obviously not seeing it like that but i'm attracted to you do you want to talk further about this i just feel like that's i would look at that as slimy like you just are you just using what just took place as an entry point or are you not as connected spiritually and you just here looking for women like i feel like it's just not the right it's not

01:14:47 - 01:14:57 | Speaker 2:

the right time and i can respect that but it's not like you're asking her to go bake cookies or nothing you know right yeah we're just baking bibles even you saying i don't want to be

01:14:57 - 01:14:59 | Speaker 1:

disrespectful of you like digesting what

01:15:00 - 01:15:17 | Speaker 3:

we just heard yeah you starting with that yeah i think to me it would be amazing okay okay i want we heard from josh than you think yes you're right maybe i'm i could be overthinking it you're right let's let's get a another female's point of view on this true you there yeah i'm here what's

01:15:17 - 01:15:45 | Speaker 6:

up true first time caller long time what's up um so yeah i had an experience like that um i was trying to find a church home and my first time ever visiting a church after service he walked up to me and asked for my number and it like instantly like turned me off and i never went back to that church again

01:15:45 - 01:15:48 | Speaker 3:

Now, how did he approach you? Do you remember what he said?

01:15:50 - 01:16:23 | Speaker 6:

So his initial question was, did you enjoy service? And then after that, he was like, yeah, so you want to go out? I'm like, what? Like, no, I'm just trying to get the word. Was he attractive? See, if he was attractive, this would be a different story. He was angry. Totally a great ballgame. true he's ugly no but still still i think it's it's all in timing if you keep going

01:16:23 - 01:16:37 | Speaker 3:

link up with her it's it's all in timing okay all right i'll take that i appreciate that true thank you all right sean good morning sean yes how are you doing good sean how are you all right

01:16:37 - 01:16:50 | Speaker 4:

My thought was you could strike up a conversation with a girl and over like a week or two, you know, you just talk to her and afterwards you could probably get her number.

01:16:50 - 01:16:55 | Speaker 3:

Got you. So try to see her again, maybe sit in the same section. Or if I see her.

01:16:57 - 01:17:12 | Speaker 4:

Yep, sit in the same section, start conversations. Maybe like after church, y'all can, you know, talk to each other a little bit. both y'all go y'all separate ways and after like a couple weeks you're breaking up man i feel

01:17:12 - 01:17:22 | Speaker 3:

more uncomfortable having this conversation than i did with her i want to talk to jesseline jesseline good morning what do you got to say to me hi good morning i met

01:17:22 - 01:17:47 | Speaker 5:

my husband in um church we've been married 14 years and um i would say make a decision not on lust but like pray on it you know don't be creepy like some of these guys like true was talking about um but just think about it pray about it and let it happen naturally yeah i feel you because

01:17:47 - 01:17:51 | Speaker 3:

that's one of the things i'm focused on too like i don't want to just approach her because she

01:17:51 - 01:18:00 | Speaker 5:

look good you know exactly yeah so have the right motive don't be so quick about it and then it's It's not going to come off as so, like, unnatural and creepy.

01:18:01 - 01:18:47 | Speaker 3:

Yeah, I feel you. Because one of the ones yesterday, her Bible was thicker than her ass. And I was like, I kind of like that. Don't say that. I would never say that. I would never say that. But that's a good gauge, though. If the Bible's bigger than the booty, you're heading in the right direction. All right, never mind. Just in a second. I ruined the whole thing. See this while I'm in church. The sweet smell of back to school. What is the smell of coffee breath and broken dreams? This is Mojo in the Morning. Mojo in the Morning show. We had an amazing time Friday celebrating Mojo's Hall of Fame induction. I think everybody had a great time, right? Oh, it was so fun. The alcohol was flowing. The vibes were right. People were dancing. I think a couple people may have even took things a little further than maybe they intended to.

01:18:47 - 01:18:50 | Speaker 1:

And that person might be my mother.

01:18:51 - 01:18:55 | Speaker 2:

Your mom was so much fun.

01:18:55 - 01:19:09 | Speaker 1:

She was. She was a great time, and I was really happy to bring her as my plus one. However, when I talked to Bianca the next day, we were going to work out, and she asked me if my mom had been kissing on her dad.

01:19:09 - 01:19:17 | Speaker 3:

What a question! Wait, and I got to meet Elle for the first time. We asked her to answer who was the cutest human being in the world, but he was there by himself.

01:19:17 - 01:19:21 | Speaker 2:

Yeah, he was. Well, he was with me. I mean, yeah. Sometimes I was leaving him by myself.

01:19:22 - 01:19:23 | Speaker 3:

Why did you ask her that?

01:19:23 - 01:19:53 | Speaker 2:

because after the event we were at we were at a store we were chilling and i saw hot pink lipstick kiss marks all on his cheek like tore down his neck a little bit i'm like what is going on what are you doing at this party that i wasn't doing did you ask him uh i don't know i don't really know what he he just said i don't know my mom was more like pissed off than i was she's like what girls were there that you're talking to he said there was there was nobody but

01:19:53 - 01:20:24 | Speaker 3:

kiss marks i'll tell you the lipstick don't lie uh lydia yeah what color lipstick did your mom well she looked like she was wearing like a beige pinkish color so i was i know i was a little sus on that so when i went home i asked her i said mom did you kiss bianca's dad and she was like absolutely not i didn't do that she starts pulling out her makeup bag showing me all of her lipsticks color matching to the pictures she's like the hot pink couldn't have been me and i'm like bianca i

01:20:24 - 01:20:27 | Speaker 4:

mean i don't know if she kissed i'm looking at the lipstick it is kind of pink

01:20:27 - 01:20:31 | Speaker 3:

I was looking at my pictures, too. It looks fairly similar to Hot Pink Mom.

01:20:31 - 01:20:48 | Speaker 1:

Wait a second. I think in record timing, we got two people on the lawn. Is this a second date update? We got Al, Bianca's dad, and Cyan, Lydia's mom, on the phone. Good morning. Hi, guys. Good morning. Good morning. So, what happened?

01:20:50 - 01:20:52 | Speaker 2:

Depends on who you're asking.

01:20:52 - 01:20:54 | Speaker 4:

Oh, Mom.

01:20:54 - 01:20:59 | Speaker 2:

Al, whose lips were all over your neck?

01:21:00 - 01:21:07 | Speaker 4:

I swear to God, I don't know where that came from. I don't know. But not from Cyan, that's for sure.

01:21:07 - 01:21:11 | Speaker 1:

We got a little Chaldean connection right now. What's going on? Cyan, what happened?

01:21:12 - 01:21:13 | Speaker 4:

I have no idea.

01:21:14 - 01:21:23 | Speaker 2:

You were both dancing fiends, but not necessarily with each other. You danced with each other for a second, but we were all standing right there. And there was no kissing going on then.

01:21:24 - 01:21:30 | Speaker 4:

No, there was no kissing going on. I didn't see everyone I kissed, and it wasn't Al. Yeah.

01:21:30 - 01:21:45 | Speaker 1:

Man, Al, play a play a, man. What happened on your end? You had a better time that night than I did. Whose lipstick is this? I was having a great time. Who kissed on you, Al? I don't know. There were so many of them. I couldn't keep it up.

01:21:47 - 01:21:50 | Speaker 4:

He's going to end up on the TM next. Oh, my gosh.

01:21:50 - 01:22:04 | Speaker 3:

No, my mom was so worried. She's like, is Bianca's mom mad at me? Are you guys going to talk about this on the show? Is your dad going to find out about this and think that I really did kiss Bianca's dad? Like, she's so worried about that. Wait, but I want to know whose lipstick was it.

01:22:04 - 01:22:09 | Speaker 4:

This was the live. This was, like, the live video. Yeah. Here's them dancing. They're dancing.

01:22:09 - 01:22:10 | Speaker 1:

That's what I'm saying.

01:22:10 - 01:22:11 | Speaker 4:

They weren't dancing.

01:22:11 - 01:22:14 | Speaker 1:

What kind of lipstick did Shannon come home?

01:22:15 - 01:22:17 | Speaker 2:

I did dance with your dad, but I didn't kiss him.

01:22:18 - 01:22:29 | Speaker 4:

What lipstick were you wearing, though, Shannon? This one, actually. I have it. so he's so cute that anybody would say

01:22:29 - 01:22:31 | Speaker 1:

he's breaking my heart

01:22:31 - 01:22:35 | Speaker 2:

this was my lipstick I actually stole it from Lucy

01:22:35 - 01:22:39 | Speaker 3:

that's kind of similar to Shannon

01:22:39 - 01:22:41 | Speaker 2:

I don't know I don't know Shannon

01:22:41 - 01:22:44 | Speaker 3:

do you have a picture of your dad's neck

01:22:44 - 01:22:53 | Speaker 4:

no I don't I should have taken a picture of it but it was like this shade it was like this shade it was like pink Yeah, it was a pretty hot pink.

01:22:53 - 01:23:12 | Speaker 1:

I'm on the Mojo and the Morn Instagram page. And go to that page or check out our Facebook. You can see this huge, massive picture of everybody who was in attendance celebrating. And it's going to be hard to identify the lips because there's a lot of pink lipid chapping. I don't know if pink's the color of the summer, but it's going to be hard to see.

01:23:13 - 01:23:15 | Speaker 4:

How about Katrina? She was looking pretty good that night.

01:23:15 - 01:23:16 | Speaker 1:

Oh, it could have been Katrina.

01:23:16 - 01:23:22 | Speaker 2:

Because Katrina, in a weird way, she is huggy and kissy with everybody. You know, she's just very affectionate.

01:23:24 - 01:23:49 | Speaker 1:

Al, did you remember meeting somebody called Katrina? Or was there just too many to name? She is beautiful. So, look, 844-MOJO-LIVE, 844-665-6548. I want to know who took their parents somewhere, and their parents was actually the one that hooked up. Because that sounds like that's what happened with Bianca. My man Al, playa, playa. My man Kevin, how you doing this morning?

01:23:50 - 01:23:54 | Speaker 2:

Al, I love singing Backstreet Boys with you.

01:23:55 - 01:23:58 | Speaker 1:

I love it, too. That was a great time.

01:23:58 - 01:23:58 | Speaker 2:

It was.

01:23:58 - 01:24:00 | Speaker 1:

It was crazy, though, because Mojo. We should do that more often.

01:24:01 - 01:24:13 | Speaker 4:

Yeah. I agree. All right. It was crazy, though, because Mojo was trying to set up Lydia the whole night, and then I think my dad and her mom got more action than she did. That's because Mojo. No, Diane, I enjoyed her company.

01:24:13 - 01:24:17 | Speaker 2:

Mojo introduced me to a guy who had a personality of a brick wall.

01:24:17 - 01:24:18 | Speaker 1:

Wait, you're lying.

01:24:19 - 01:24:27 | Speaker 2:

Wait, I saw you talking to that guy. I remember I walked up to you and was like, oh, my God, how did it go? And she goes, it was like watching paint dry.

01:24:27 - 01:24:33 | Speaker 1:

Seriously. See, that's when you feel like you're not drunk enough. You're like, bruh, let me get another one.

01:24:33 - 01:24:44 | Speaker 4:

You don't know. But I'm not going to lie, though. Dad, he was every, I'm telling you, every 20 minutes, he's like, where's Sian? Where's Sian? So I don't know. He was calling for all night, though.

01:24:46 - 01:25:00 | Speaker 1:

Hello. Hello. So, Al, what happened when you got home? That's what I want to know. Not so many men can come home with lipstick from the cheek to the neck and live to tell the story. My wife told me, what the hell? Who was kissing on your neck?

01:25:00 - 01:25:02 | Speaker 2:

I said, I don't know. I had to play stupid.

01:25:04 - 01:25:05 | Speaker 3:

So you know.

01:25:08 - 01:25:14 | Speaker 2:

No, I really didn't know. There's a different story. We got to talk about this. We got to get to the bottom of this.

01:25:14 - 01:25:16 | Speaker 3:

He's going to be on the War of the Roses next.

01:25:18 - 01:25:31 | Speaker 1:

WKQI Detroit. WVKS Toledo. Three great stations. One stupid show. This is Mojo in the Morning Live.

01:25:37 - 01:25:50 | Speaker 2:

Mojo in the Morning Show. I see you here. Shannon. What? I feel like I'm losing my mind. I don't know if you feel like you're losing your mind.

01:25:50 - 01:25:51 | Speaker 3:

I think we're good.

01:25:52 - 01:25:52 | Speaker 2:

Is your memory good?

01:25:53 - 01:26:01 | Speaker 3:

We can't do this topic right now. This kid's going to school. It's too early? Yeah. Yeah, we can't do it. It's a bacon cookies topic. It was for later in the show.

01:26:01 - 01:26:11 | Speaker 2:

We won't do that topic then. I can tell you something that happened to me at Mojo's party, though. Obviously, I showed up a little late. And I think one of the reasons.

01:26:11 - 01:26:14 | Speaker 3:

A little, by the way, in case you missed it. Almost two hours late.

01:26:14 - 01:26:23 | Speaker 2:

It was a little later than expected. But I think one of the biggest reasons why is, you know, like when you're getting dressed, you're having a good time. You may do a little pregame.

01:26:23 - 01:26:27 | Speaker 3:

Do you do a, I call it a dressing drink. like a cocktail while you're getting ready.

01:26:28 - 01:26:36 | Speaker 2:

Might bring it in the shower, too, if I'm really on that time. It ain't nothing like a good shower drink. Y'all drinking a shower or am I alcohol? Oh, yeah, a beer shower? You know what I'm saying?

01:26:37 - 01:26:47 | Speaker 3:

You mean a shower beer, not a beer shower. A little bit of both. I'm showering myself with beer. Even at MSU when I was in college, I never did that. I'm telling you, you're not living right.

01:26:47 - 01:29:03 | Speaker 2:

I'm telling you, take you a cocktail or whatever your vibe is, take it in the shower, have a little drink, have a little music, enjoy yourself. You'll live better. So I'm doing this, right? And to your point, Shani, yes, I'm doing that. I'm having a little drinking dress, enjoying myself, got a little interview or whatever on in the background. And when I say I haven't bought, like, new clothes in a long time, like, I just haven't done it in a while. And plus, like, working for different companies and sports franchises, a lot of this stuff you get for free anyway. So it's like I really don't need to dress for real because I'm wearing what I'm supposed to wear at work. So I'm going through the things, put on a pair of pants finally, find a shirt I like. and i'm realizing that these pans are a bit larger than i guess whenever i bought them hey kudos to me i swear you've been losing weight i'm telling you god is good man just stay on your plan you know i'm gonna stay on your plan chai seeds right that's what we do right now this is my ozempic right here the chia seeds the way to go so i'm doing this right and i'm realizing that my pants are bigger so they're like falling a little bit as i'm walking i'm like man i can't like go outside like this like this is not the way to do it i'm not a belt wearer i haven't probably worn a belt brian worn a belt since i was probably in high school or something like that i'm telling you just buy pants that fit even if you wear a suit or something you don't wear a belt with it no no i just kind of go straight and here it go but i I'm unable to wear these pants like that. They're falling. That's not the look I'm going for. I don't have a belt, though. I'm going to tell you what I did. And this is how you make it work. And that's the kind of cause I went at. Like, what did you have to make work? Whether it was an ingredient you didn't have for some food, whether it was some makeup, whatever the thing is, how did you make it work? I found one of my ring lights. And when you have a ring light, it's not just a normal cord that plugs into the wall. Super long. It's a super long cord, but then there's two cords. It's like a cord to the adapter and then the adapter cord to the wall. So the wall and adapter have their own set of cords. Then the cord that goes into the adapter to the ring light, it's a smaller cord. So I took the ring light adapter cord, put it through the belt loops, tied a little Boy Scout knot, took it in, and there's my belt. There's my belt.

01:29:03 - 01:29:10 | Speaker 3:

Because I'm trying to think what you were wearing. You were wearing like dark pants and a white shirt that was not tucked. That's why I wasn't tucked. Right? Oh, so you didn't even see it.

01:29:10 - 01:29:14 | Speaker 2:

I'm not coming white shirt just tucked in anyway. That's not the vibe we ever going for.

01:29:14 - 01:29:16 | Speaker 3:

Every guy had their shirt tucked in besides you.

01:29:17 - 01:29:18 | Speaker 2:

And that's why I stood out. I did not.

01:29:19 - 01:29:19 | Unknown:

Okay.

01:29:19 - 01:29:35 | Speaker 2:

Yeah, I'm not coming just shirt tucked in unless I'm going to like work at Quicken Laws or something. I'm not about to do that. I'm not a CPA. But yeah, so that's the vibe. So I don't think there was anything wrong with that. Nobody was the wiser and sometimes you just got to make it work in life. That's smart.

01:29:35 - 01:29:38 | Speaker 3:

I say that's smart. I applaud you. Didn't that hurt though?

01:29:38 - 01:29:44 | Speaker 2:

No, no, it didn't hurt. You get a little loose a little bit. You get a little loose a little bit. Have you ever had to make it work in a situation?

01:29:45 - 01:30:31 | Speaker 3:

So this just happened to me. I was in Colorado with Lucian Smith last week. And I don't know how this happened. Somehow I ran out of underwear when I was there. And you guys know this about me. I changed my underwear multiple times a day. Just, it's a thing. and I had thought that I had prepared for that and brought enough pairs of underwear. I did not. So it gets to be our last day there. I'm laying out clothes for the next morning to go to the airport and I realize I have no underwear and I'm going to wear jeans. Not a situation where I'm going to go without. So I'm like, what in the heck do I do? It's too late right now to even go to any sort of store and get anything. So I, on the way home, wore a pair of my 11-year-old daughter's underwear.

01:30:31 - 01:30:32 | Speaker 5:

Oh, my God.

01:30:32 - 01:30:38 | Speaker 3:

Just to have something. I thought something's better than nothing. It was all but cutting off my circulation.

01:30:39 - 01:30:41 | Speaker 5:

Shout out to you, though.

01:30:41 - 01:30:42 | Speaker 3:

But it worked.

01:30:43 - 01:30:43 | Speaker 5:

Listen, and shout out to you.

01:30:43 - 01:30:45 | Speaker 3:

I had to make do with what I had.

01:30:45 - 01:30:49 | Speaker 5:

Listen, being able to fit your 11-year-old's underwear. No, I didn't say it fit.

01:30:49 - 01:30:55 | Speaker 3:

I said it was all about cutting off my circulation. I made it work, Ken, to the topic name.

01:30:56 - 01:30:58 | Speaker 5:

That's like the type of situation where you take it off.

01:30:58 - 01:31:02 | Speaker 3:

All in motion target underwear did the job. Shut up to all in motion.

01:31:03 - 01:31:06 | Speaker 5:

That's one of those situations where you take it off and you can just see the ridges.

01:31:08 - 01:31:11 | Speaker 3:

Either I'm very dehydrated or this was very small.

01:31:12 - 01:31:27 | Speaker 5:

Wait a second. Ruben, what did you say, Ruben? I said, Ken, it looked like you were wearing a chef's coat. Oh. You went from the back of the house to the front of the house. I was dressed in my Hell's Kitchen's best.

01:31:27 - 01:31:30 | Speaker 3:

And actually, didn't your shirt have three stars on it or something? It did.

01:31:30 - 01:31:42 | Speaker 5:

It had three stars on it, and it had a little design on the back. That is hilarious. I love it. That's hilarious. Carol, good morning, Carol. Good morning. What's your make it work situation? Hey, morning, morning.

01:31:44 - 01:31:49 | Speaker 4:

So, with regards to holding your pants up so they don't fall.

01:31:49 - 01:31:49 | Speaker 5:

Yeah.

01:31:50 - 01:31:52 | Speaker 4:

You use a zip tie.

01:31:53 - 01:31:57 | Speaker 3:

Yeah, but who just has a zip tie laying around? I don't know how big you think my waist is.

01:31:58 - 01:32:04 | Speaker 4:

I know, but, you know, often people have zip ties around at home, you know, in the office.

01:32:05 - 01:32:09 | Speaker 5:

So my situation was my waist. How big of a zip tie?

01:32:09 - 01:32:12 | Speaker 4:

Yeah, no, so you put it around the length of your pants.

01:32:12 - 01:32:13 | Speaker 5:

Oh, just at the front.

01:32:14 - 01:32:34 | Speaker 4:

Yeah, and then you really can't see it very much. Interesting. So I was saying we used to use that. I used to be a probation officer for juveniles. Oh, okay. So this makes sense. And they come in, their pants hanging around their butt, and they're saying, like, I don't have a belt. I don't have a belt. So we just started keeping zip ties with us.

01:32:34 - 01:32:38 | Speaker 5:

That is very smart. That's so smart. That is smart. Carol, with the tip of the day.

01:32:38 - 01:32:40 | Speaker 4:

And then you took the long piece off and nobody even knows.

01:32:41 - 01:32:58 | Speaker 5:

That's genius. I hear that. I hear that. Good job, Carol. I need to go get my zip ties up. Let's go to Dave. Hey, Dave, man. What advice you got for me? Man, what would you have did if you would have hooked up at the party? I mean, at that point, I don't think she would have cared, and I wouldn't have cared neither. The pants are falling off quicker.

01:32:58 - 01:32:59 | Speaker 3:

Actually, a really great question.

01:33:01 - 01:33:16 | Speaker 5:

That would have been kind of weird. Hey, look, then we're going to take the cord wrapped around us and wrap it around our arms or something. No, do not. Let's go to my favorite guy, Poncho. Good morning, man. How are you?

01:33:16 - 01:33:24 | Speaker 2:

Good morning. So I've had to use string and bungee cords before.

01:33:25 - 01:33:26 | Speaker 5:

Bungee cords?

01:33:27 - 01:33:32 | Speaker 2:

Yep. If you wrap them around in the loops, and they hook each other.

01:33:32 - 01:33:34 | Speaker 5:

You just got bungee cords laying around?

01:33:36 - 01:33:38 | Speaker 2:

I do in my car, but this is when I worked in construction.

01:33:39 - 01:33:44 | Speaker 3:

Oh, okay. Yeah. Hey, whatever it takes.

01:33:44 - 01:33:51 | Speaker 5:

You probably done peed in some interesting stuff, too. Am I a poncho?

01:33:52 - 01:33:53 | Speaker 1:

He's done.

01:33:53 - 01:34:12 | Speaker 5:

The Wi-Fi at home is recovering from a summer of YouTube and Fortnite abuse. Welcome back to school. This is Mojo in the Morning. Mojo in the Morning's Dirty on the 30. All right, Shannon, over an hour free. And I've been waiting for this dirty. Dirty today, let's go.

01:34:12 - 01:34:39 | Speaker 3:

Do you know who Bobbi Elthoff is? Yeah, she's had a podcast. Do you remember her and Drake? Yeah, well, and then she ended her podcast. But she went viral after posting a photo of herself in Drake's bed. And that sparked all sorts of talk and attention. Had a podcast, ended it. Well, now she has a new podcast. And helping her promote this brand new project, none other than Drake.

01:34:39 - 01:34:48 | Speaker 1:

welcome to a much more scenic serene equally sickening okay you know maybe i should just do it

01:34:48 - 01:35:01 | Speaker 3:

okay welcome to the first episode of my new podcast that no one asked for not this again i have no details about this project whatsoever except that it's called Not this again.

01:35:02 - 01:35:26 | Speaker 4:

Very interesting relationship between the two of them. Very weird. You don't see Drake doing a lot of interviews. He's kind of one of those artists that has reached a level of stardom to where he really doesn't need to. So why her? That's the question. I don't know why her, especially it's one thing to do a podcast with her. It's another thing to help relaunch her career and really seem connected to whatever it is that she's doing. Yeah. Interesting.

01:35:27 - 01:35:56 | Speaker 3:

Yeah. After the Paris premiere of their upcoming movie caught stealing, co-stars Austin Butler and Kev's fave Zoe Kravitz spotted at a bar. And they were, I mean, looking like something was going on. I think they were leaning in close. They were hugging. And there was definitely some affection. Well, then yesterday I saw everywhere Zoe Kravitz spotted in Rome with Harry Styles arm in arm. So I don't know what's going on, but two very good looking guys in one weekend.

01:35:56 - 01:35:57 | Speaker 4:

Hot girl summer ain't over.

01:35:58 - 01:37:03 | Speaker 3:

Lil Nas X, if you're looking for an update, he is still in jail. He's been in jail all weekend after that bizarre naked tirade and arrest and walking through the streets of L.A. on Thursday into Friday morning. He is being held at the Van Nuys Jail. And authorities tell me that he is going to remain behind bars until he can get a hearing scheduled for his bail amount. The earliest that could take place is today. So we'll keep you updated on him. Hours of interviews between Jeffrey Epstein's right-hand woman, Ghislaine Maxwell, and a federal prosecutor were released by the Department of Justice on Friday afternoon. Lots of takeaways from the hours upon hours of tape from these interviews. The big one, she says there is no client list. We've heard about this list that would incriminate a whole bunch of, you know, celebrities, politicians, athletes who have been associated with Jeffrey Epstein. But she said there is not one in existence that she knows of. Number two, she says Epstein absolutely did not take his own life.

01:37:03 - 01:37:18 | Speaker 1:

Do you think he was he was he did not die by suicide, given all the things we just talked about? I do not believe he died by suicide. And do you believe that, um, do you have any speculation or view of who killed him?

01:37:18 - 01:37:20 | Speaker 2:

I, no, I don't.

01:37:20 - 01:38:37 | Speaker 3:

She also said that she never saw Donald Trump behaving inappropriately. In fact, she called him a quote unquote gentleman in all respects. Said Bill Clinton, the former president, never visited Epstein's Island. This one was huge to me. She said Prince Andrew never acted inappropriately. She claimed she never observed any sort of inappropriate behavior, excuse me, by Prince Andrew. And she even called that widely circulated photo of him with his very famous accuser, the late Virginia Jufri. She said, quote unquote, that is literally a fake photo. And she also talked about how Jeffrey Epstein's personality totally changed when he started taking testosterone in the late 90s. She said it altered his character, made him more aggressive, and shifted his desires as well. And lastly, I don't necessarily report on lottery jackpots, but tonight is a big one. The Powerball Jackpot for tonight's drawing, $750 million. After no single player matched all numbers drawn on Saturday, it will be the 10th largest in lottery history. I saw we did have a million-dollar winner in Michigan. Tonight's drawing has an estimated cash value of $338.6 million if you take that one up some.

01:38:37 - 01:38:44 | Speaker 4:

Are you finishing your contract here or are you quitting and leaving? Oh, I'm leaving, Doug. If I win? If you win.

01:38:45 - 01:38:48 | Speaker 3:

Oh, you might see me again, but not in this tour.

01:38:49 - 01:38:51 | Speaker 4:

See me on the ground, bro.

01:38:51 - 01:38:57 | Speaker 3:

01:39:04 - 01:39:13 | Speaker 4:

Mojo in the Morning Show. So, Shannon, you saw a guy doing something that you didn't really like. You think no guy should do this. And I feel personally attacked. But what was it?

01:39:13 - 01:39:37 | Speaker 3:

I kind of hate doing these sorts of topics because it's like, I don't, I mean, it's totally going to come off as judgy, but I don't want it to be like, this is a guy thing and this can only be a girl thing. Okay, okay. It just struck me as odd when I was at the gym, and Wes and I are working out, and there is this guy at the gym, and I've seen him many, many times before, and he's like a manly like, bro.

01:39:37 - 01:39:38 | Unknown:

Okay.

01:39:39 - 01:39:49 | Speaker 3:

And I've never seen him with this before, but he was carrying a Stanley. Don't do that to me. With him. Like this. By the handle.

01:39:50 - 01:39:51 | Speaker 4:

Like- How else are you supposed to grab it?

01:39:51 - 01:39:54 | Speaker 3:

Like yours. Which yours in here to me

01:39:54 - 01:39:57 | Speaker 4:

How am I supposed to grab this sandwich

01:39:57 - 01:39:59 | Speaker 3:

It was just funny It has a handle

01:40:00 - 01:40:19 | Speaker 1:

walking around the gym with this blue Stanley. I don't know. And I'm like, I even turned to Wes. I go, can guys carry Stanley cups? And he said, well, why not? You know, he was like a little defensive about it. And he doesn't even have a Stanley. But I'm like, it just struck me as odd to see this like gym bro.

01:40:19 - 01:40:19 | Speaker 3:

Yeah.

01:40:20 - 01:40:21 | Speaker 1:

Carrying his Stanley cup.

01:40:21 - 01:40:46 | Speaker 3:

I feel like the list of things guys can't do grows every single day. Somebody told me I shouldn't, as a man, I shouldn't blow my soup if it's cold. I mean, if it's hot. Dude, are you gay? I disagree with that, by the way. They said the way my lips should never pucker in that way. Just. Yeah, but if you burn the roof of your mouth, it's. That's what I'm saying. What do you want me to do? I can't use the handle on my Stanley?

01:40:46 - 01:40:52 | Speaker 1:

No, it wasn't even the handle thing. It was just the whole Stanley. It was the whole deal with him.

01:40:52 - 01:40:56 | Speaker 3:

What should I be drinking out of, Shannon? What's a proper...

01:40:56 - 01:40:57 | Speaker 1:

Like a water bottle?

01:40:58 - 01:41:00 | Speaker 3:

That's all I can have is a water bottle? It just looks weird.

01:41:01 - 01:41:07 | Speaker 1:

Again, I go back to the very first thing I said, where I hate saying that this can only be for girls and this can only be for guys, but...

01:41:07 - 01:41:08 | Speaker 3:

I'm telling you.

01:41:08 - 01:41:10 | Speaker 1:

I don't know. I feel like Stanley Cups can only be for girls.

01:41:10 - 01:41:12 | Speaker 3:

We have it so hard, man.

01:41:12 - 01:41:15 | Speaker 1:

What other things can guys not...

01:41:15 - 01:41:19 | Speaker 3:

That we can't do? I can't have my dogs out if I'm wearing sandals. You gotta have socks.

01:41:20 - 01:41:21 | Speaker 1:

You're not going to judge me, yeah. Well, that's because your feet.

01:41:22 - 01:41:29 | Speaker 3:

And your feet. Your feet and your feet. No, we're not about to do this. We're not about to ankle shame. I will not have it.

01:41:29 - 01:41:30 | Unknown:

It's more painful.

01:41:31 - 01:41:32 | Speaker 3:

You don't have ankles.

01:41:33 - 01:41:35 | Speaker 1:

You have shins and then feet.

01:41:35 - 01:41:56 | Speaker 3:

They're just bigger than the average ankle. You have calves that go. You got super ankles. 844-MOJO-LIVE, 844-665-6548. What should a guy not do, man? We can't wear sandals, I guess, without our socks. We can't carry Stanleys. I can't blow my soup.

01:41:56 - 01:41:57 | Unknown:

I mean.

01:41:57 - 01:42:03 | Speaker 1:

If Mojo were here, I know exactly what he would tell you. You can't order Pinot Grigio, Ken.

01:42:03 - 01:42:08 | Speaker 3:

I don't give a damn what he's saying. I'm ordering that Pinot. And I'm drinking. And I'm wafting it around.

01:42:08 - 01:42:15 | Speaker 1:

Every time we go to like a brewery or Irish of Ionia. Yeah. Which I love because we're the wine drinkers together. You always get Pinot Grigio.

01:42:16 - 01:42:33 | Speaker 3:

I'm down in a bottle of Pinot Grigio. And if I'm at home, putting it over ice. I like my wine over ice. I like chill wine. But you don't like certain drink cups. Do not give me one of those margarita-type cups with, like, the little umbrella in it. I don't think that's for me.

01:42:33 - 01:42:34 | Speaker 2:

Why?

01:42:34 - 01:42:44 | Speaker 3:

I don't like that. Put it in a mason jar. I just don't. It makes me think of my grandma, Alice, when she used to watch Sex and the City.

01:42:44 - 01:42:45 | Speaker 1:

Did she drink martinis?

01:42:45 - 01:43:03 | Speaker 3:

Yeah. It feels like a... A martini cup. Yes, it feels like sex in the city, and I just can't imagine myself holding one of these. How do you even hold that type of glass? I don't even know. I don't need to do it, bro. I don't know. Let's see what Megan has to say. Hey, Megan, good morning. What can guys do?

01:43:04 - 01:43:08 | Speaker 2:

Good morning. Shannon brought up being in the gym.

01:43:08 - 01:43:12 | Speaker 1:

I think they should not be able to do with kickbacks.

01:43:12 - 01:43:13 | Speaker 3:

Kickbacks?

01:43:13 - 01:43:14 | Speaker 1:

You know what that is? No, what's a kick?

01:43:15 - 01:43:16 | Speaker 3:

Shannon's in the studio showing us.

01:43:16 - 01:43:26 | Speaker 1:

With this, usually it's like a weight, like strap. I don't know. What does that work on? Gin lingo, like this.

01:43:26 - 01:43:28 | Speaker 3:

Your glutes. Oh, that's a booty exercise.

01:43:29 - 01:43:30 | Speaker 2:

That's why we have flat asses, Kev.

01:43:30 - 01:43:33 | Speaker 3:

Does that get it fat or toned?

01:43:34 - 01:43:35 | Speaker 2:

Both.

01:43:35 - 01:43:39 | Speaker 3:

Oh, okay. You don't like your guys with nice toned butts?

01:43:40 - 01:43:42 | Speaker 2:

It just looks soft.

01:43:42 - 01:43:51 | Speaker 3:

01:43:51 - 01:43:58 | Speaker 2:

01:43:58 - 01:44:02 | Speaker 3:

01:44:02 - 01:44:10 | Speaker 2:

01:44:10 - 01:44:15 | Speaker 3:

with some family stuff right now so you know we holding down the fort but man thank you i guess

01:44:15 - 01:44:28 | Speaker 2:

all right so you tell us man my comment was a man should never drink through a strong or anything they got a tip to it keep your lips off of it okay so let me ask you this you go to

01:44:28 - 01:44:37 | Speaker 3:

you go to the movies right and i'm at imagine you go to imagine you get something to drink you're not putting a lid on your beverage you're just going straight cup with drink inside of it

01:44:37 - 01:44:43 | Speaker 2:

cup. There is no way. I can't do the straw.

01:44:43 - 01:44:59 | Speaker 1:

Normal straw, fine. Itty bitty straw and we have talked about this many times. Itty bitty straw you gotta get rid of. Like if I'm doing a juice box. Well juice box, sure. I don't know why you're drinking a juice box anyway. I'll be thirsty. If you go to a bar and get a drink and you know how sometimes they put the little teeny

01:45:00 - 01:45:01 | Speaker 3:

tiny straw in there.

01:45:01 - 01:45:02 | Speaker 1:

Okay, yeah, yeah.

01:45:02 - 01:45:06 | Speaker 3:

You have to put that on the bar. You got to get rid of that. Are you talking about that, Marvin, or I can't go to McDonald's?

01:45:06 - 01:45:13 | Speaker 1:

Yeah, yeah, yeah. You got to be able to drink a straw sometimes, but no, with someone around women or anything, no.

01:45:13 - 01:45:29 | Speaker 3:

Yeah, because the worst is like, and I'm sure you've seen this before, where the people try to find the straw, but they use their tongue. Like, they just, you know what I mean? Now, that's the situation where, yeah, bro, you got to just put the

01:45:29 - 01:45:35 | Speaker 2:

drink down it i feel like that's an old person thing but yes where is it where is it

01:45:35 - 01:45:46 | Speaker 3:

that's the part i'm agreeing fully with you marvin fully i'm agreeing with that i was gonna say too

01:45:46 - 01:45:51 | Speaker 1:

i'm still looking forward to uh talk to you sir okay for sure we gonna link that up i forgot to

01:45:51 - 01:46:03 | Speaker 3:

01:46:03 - 01:46:11 | Speaker 5:

what and order a sex on the beach oh you might be right josh depending on the name you can't

01:46:11 - 01:46:20 | Speaker 3:

order the drink no you cannot okay so it's got to sound manly i mean what's wrong with having I'm just like, I'm too mad at that.

01:46:21 - 01:46:24 | Speaker 4:

You're going to go up to the bar and order a pineapple upside down cake?

01:46:24 - 01:46:30 | Speaker 2:

Those are so good. Have you ever had those shots? No. That's a shot I will take. Yes.

01:46:30 - 01:46:38 | Speaker 3:

Okay, man, we got to do that after the show. We deserve a pineapple upside down. No, we need that. We need that. Rolando. What's up, Rolando?

01:46:40 - 01:46:41 | Speaker 5:

Hey, how's it going?

01:46:41 - 01:46:42 | Speaker 3:

Going great, man. How are you?

01:46:43 - 01:47:16 | Speaker 5:

Good. I was listening to Shannon talk about men holding a family, and I really want to remind Shannon that gay men love the gym. Gay men can also break the stereotype of feminine attributes and look bro-y, but could break that masculine stereotype as well. I hear a lot of fragile masculinity on the radio this morning. What you mean? And I'm here to say that gay men don't care.

01:47:18 - 01:47:20 | Speaker 3:

I love it. You carry your Stanley, Rolando.

01:47:21 - 01:47:22 | Speaker 5:

That's right.

01:47:22 - 01:47:24 | Speaker 3:

Bent wrist and all. You do it, brother.

01:47:26 - 01:47:26 | Speaker 5:

No, no.

01:47:26 - 01:47:27 | Speaker 3:

Firm wrist.

01:47:27 - 01:47:29 | Speaker 5:

There you go.

01:47:29 - 01:47:37 | Speaker 3:

I just wanted to hear you. Okay. That's what you do, Rolando. That's right. Let's hear it from Michael. Michael, good morning, my man. How are you?

01:47:38 - 01:47:40 | Speaker 4:

I'm doing good, man. Just trucking. Just trucking.

01:47:41 - 01:47:42 | Speaker 3:

All right.

01:47:42 - 01:48:00 | Speaker 4:

Give us a little horn. All right. There we go. I was going to say, in my opinion, Ben shouldn't wear open-toed flip-flops and shorts above the knee.

01:48:01 - 01:48:04 | Speaker 3:

So you're not a fan of the hoochie dance?

01:48:04 - 01:48:06 | Speaker 2:

My husband has a double-wabbing for him, man.

01:48:09 - 01:48:11 | Speaker 3:

Yeah, I just can't do it.

01:48:12 - 01:48:24 | Speaker 2:

so come on man i mean i love the short shorts on guys by the way short shorts yes i think it looks weird if guys are wearing shorts that are past the knee which i see a lot of yeah that's

01:48:24 - 01:48:46 | Speaker 3:

like 90s nba yeah 2005 yeah like the big hoop shorts now with the sandals though i'm with them on that one it's very very rare and no shannon it's not because of my ankles it's very very rare that I'll have, like, some slides on with no socks. But if I got to, like, I don't know, run to the store real quick or run to the trash can.

01:48:46 - 01:48:49 | Speaker 4:

Slides is cool, but flip-flops, like, open toes.

01:48:50 - 01:48:50 | Speaker 3:

Yeah.

01:48:50 - 01:48:51 | Speaker 2:

Oh, you're not? You don't think I should?

01:48:51 - 01:48:54 | Speaker 3:

You talking about, like, with the little thong ones with split toes?

01:48:55 - 01:48:56 | Speaker 4:

Yes, bro, yes.

01:48:56 - 01:49:20 | Speaker 3:

I don't buy those anyway, so I can't even do that one. Let's get a girl on the line. What's up, Amanda? How are you? Good morning. You guys are doing a great job, by the way. Thank you. Appreciate that, Amanda. No problem. So I got a guy friend. He will not eat popsicles, and he will not eat bananas. He slices a banana. Slicing a banana is crazy.

01:49:20 - 01:49:22 | Speaker 2:

Oh, my goodness.

01:49:22 - 01:49:51 | Speaker 3:

No, he refuses. I have seen it to where, like, people will break the banana, like, in little pieces and kind of shake it in their hand like you got some M&Ms or something. Wait. A banana? I know, man. A banana. i know i know it sounds crazy it sounds crazy but they don't want to get that picture they don't want to get that picture we got a misfit on the line misfit tony misfit tony on the line what's up tony how are you hi tony what up though what up though talk

01:49:51 - 01:49:59 | Speaker 4:

to me talk to me tony kev kev you about to love me bro you about to love me talk to me

01:50:00 - 01:50:56 | Speaker 5:

So, first and foremost, I got my blue Stanley. I'm a straight-headed sexual. I carry it everywhere. I got a Batman logo. Come on, Tony. We do it right there. Come on, Tony. Listen, we G, bro, we G. Look, and then secondly, the thing a man should absolutely never do is fingertip wave at a woman. you can't start with the pinky and do a little roll we can't do that do it. I'm with that.

01:50:57 - 01:51:01 | Speaker 4:

Stanley, let's go back to the Stanley, though. You got a Batman

01:51:01 - 01:51:13 | Speaker 5:

logo on it. Yeah, it's blue. It's blue, the Batman logo on it, baby. There we go. Yeah, you already know I got the fat pan logo on it. Gotta do it.

01:51:13 - 01:51:14 | Unknown:

Gotta have it.

01:51:14 - 01:51:15 | Speaker 5:

Appreciate you, Tony.

01:51:16 - 01:51:16 | Speaker 6:

Bye, Tony.

01:51:18 - 01:51:26 | Speaker 2:

WKQI Detroit. WSNX Muskegon Grand Rapids. WVKS Toledo. Wait a second. I want to talk to Cheryl. This is Mojo in the morning.

01:51:26 - 01:51:27 | Speaker 1:

Oh, Mojo? He's amazing.

01:51:28 - 01:51:28 | Speaker 2:

Live.

01:51:29 - 01:51:33 | Speaker 1:

Oh, Cheryl had a girl. Wait, what was it? She hung up? She's back. No, pick her up. She's on fire.

01:51:33 - 01:51:36 | Speaker 4:

Cheryl, Cheryl, what can't guys do?

01:51:37 - 01:51:40 | Speaker 1:

Oh, man. Cheryl's gone. Tell me.

01:51:40 - 01:51:44 | Speaker 4:

Yeah, Lydia, what'd she say? Cheryl, I want to hear her say it. Should I just tell you?

01:51:44 - 01:51:47 | Speaker 1:

She said, men should not drive a motorcycle with white socks on. It looks so stupid.

01:51:50 - 01:51:59 | Speaker 4:

Down to the socks. Cheryl, gone too soon. That's funny. Mojo on the morning show. Have you ever been dumped?

01:52:00 - 01:52:01 | Speaker 3:

Oh, yeah.

01:52:01 - 01:52:02 | Speaker 4:

You have?

01:52:02 - 01:52:02 | Speaker 3:

Oh, yeah.

01:52:02 - 01:52:17 | Speaker 4:

All right. So I want to have a conversation about being dumped and where you were dumped. 844-MOJO-LIVE, 844-665-6548. Zach, let's start with you, man, because you rose your hand and stood at attention on that one. Tell me about your dumping story.

01:52:17 - 01:52:37 | Speaker 3:

Oh, God, yeah. So I'm at the house with my ex-girlfriend, like my house, and I invite her over. And instead of starting the movie, she's like, hey, I should probably sit you down, but I don't think we should see each other anymore. I was like, all right, sweet. I'll see you later. Bye. And I opened up the door and she left. So this is immediately?

01:52:38 - 01:52:41 | Speaker 4:

Yeah, I swear to God. So what did you think was happening that night?

01:52:41 - 01:52:53 | Speaker 3:

I thought we were just, it was during the day, but I thought we were just chilling, about to eat lunch. But no, she came over like a normal time that she doesn't. So I was like, okay, this is new. Yeah. But she had other plans. She did.

01:52:53 - 01:52:55 | Speaker 6:

With another guy or just other plans?

01:52:55 - 01:52:57 | Speaker 3:

No, just other plans, not dating me, which is cool.

01:52:57 - 01:53:50 | Speaker 4:

Oh, my God. I came to see a movie. It'd be like that. I guess. That's insane. Yeah, 844-MOJO-LIVE, 844-665-6548. You're better without her, Zach. I just want to say that. She lost out on a real one, okay? She lost out on Zach Marsha. So I'm on the Riverwalk yesterday. Beautiful day, right? I guess according to the weather that we're having today, and it looks like tomorrow, probably the last day of real heat that we're ever going to have. It's a beautiful day. I'm walking down the Riverwalk. And when you're going down the Riverwalk, sometimes you see people fishing. Sometimes you just see people walking. And rarely do you see people crying. And I saw this girl crying right next to a guy. And it's almost one of those uncomfortable situations where you're walking in their direction. You can see them from afar. Like, this doesn't look good. But I can't just, like, look away and ignore what I'm clearly seeing. I start to get closer. As you start to get closer, you start to hear certain things. You can start to hear them speak.

01:53:51 - 01:53:51 | Speaker 3:

Oh, for sure.

01:53:51 - 01:54:28 | Speaker 4:

All he's doing is apologizing. He's like, babe, I'm so sorry. I'm so sorry. I didn't want it to end like this. I'm so sorry. She's just like, you can tell she's not aware that this was even a possibility. Like the way she was blindsided, you could clearly see it. The only thing that she was aware of is the tears drawing from her eyes. And I'm like, is the Riverwalk the best place to break up with somebody? I don't know where they came from. If they met there together. That's another thing I feel like. If you are in a relationship and I don't know if the person tells you to meet them somewhere. It's probably not going to be good. I feel like that's not going to be good because I would come pick you up.

01:54:28 - 01:54:29 | Speaker 6:

Yeah.

01:54:29 - 01:54:33 | Speaker 4:

But I saw somebody getting dumped on the Riverwalk.

01:54:34 - 01:54:43 | Speaker 3:

So, okay, the best part about my situation is I could go back downstairs into my room and cry. But when you're out in public, like, it's over.

01:54:43 - 01:54:56 | Speaker 6:

I was going to say, a public place isn't the best place for a breakup, obviously. But maybe that wasn't the plan and they got into a discussion and that was, you know, That's what happened.

01:54:56 - 01:55:00 | Speaker 4:

That's another layer of it. If you know it's time, but maybe you're.

01:55:00 - 01:55:17 | Speaker 1:

preparing to deliver that news in a different way but then the conversation leads you in this direction and then it becomes the time and it is in public what do you do there we got bella on the line bella got broken up with where where was this bella um i'm going to mccallum community

01:55:17 - 01:55:26 | Speaker 3:

college and broke up with me over text while i was on a college floor oh my god over text wait

01:55:26 - 01:55:28 | Speaker 1:

While you were what, though?

01:55:28 - 01:55:31 | Speaker 3:

On a college post. Oh, okay. On a tour.

01:55:32 - 01:55:35 | Speaker 1:

I hate to relive this, but what did the text say?

01:55:37 - 01:55:39 | Speaker 3:

I'm going to pull it up.

01:55:40 - 01:55:41 | Speaker 1:

You can pull it? You still have the text thread?

01:55:42 - 01:55:46 | Speaker 3:

Did this just happen? It happened back in May.

01:55:47 - 01:55:49 | Speaker 1:

Wow. Are you all still talking?

01:55:50 - 01:55:52 | Speaker 3:

No. Hell no.

01:55:52 - 01:55:56 | Speaker 1:

Why do you still have the text thread, Bella? Why didn't you just delete that person out your life?

01:55:56 - 01:56:06 | Speaker 3:

um i did but i don't delete contact just for reference i replied dating out yeah you gotta

01:56:06 - 01:56:36 | Speaker 1:

you gotta keep the receipts you gotta keep the receipts all right i want to hear read it to us bella what did that breakup text message say what did they say to you yeah scroll for me real quick 844 mojo live 844-665-6548 where were you broken up like what was the location was it terrible or how did it feel i guess or do you do you still have your ex's text messages i still got one of my ex my ex's uh text threads because our kroger points

01:56:36 - 01:56:59 | Speaker 3:

and then it just doesn't feel the same wait start over bella we'll say it again he said he wasn't happy and it doesn't feel the same anymore and i was walking around the campus he goes can you stop leaving me on red and i'm like but i'm walking around on a tour did he know what you

01:56:59 - 01:57:03 | Speaker 2:

were doing at that time that he sent everything like was this strategic uh i specifically told

01:57:03 - 01:57:19 | Speaker 3:

him that i was going on a tour and getting a shirt for prom spirit last year because i'm a freshman graduate yeah and it was just really bad did you guys were you guys going through issues

01:57:19 - 01:57:26 | Speaker 1:

or did you expect the breakup or was this completely out of nowhere for a while i was

01:57:26 - 01:57:43 | Speaker 3:

kind of respecting it but he wouldn't do it and he was like people around the bush at it so he like that's a ball and i just kind of pushed it down okay well i'm glad you're out

01:57:43 - 01:58:00 | Speaker 1:

of that relationship bella you seem and obviously i don't know you but you seem like a good person That deserves love and deserves someone who's at least respectful enough to deliver that message in person. So I'm glad you're out of that relationship. Hopefully you don't double back because that'll be wrong. We don't need you doing that.

01:58:00 - 01:58:01 | Speaker 3:

I promise I won't.

01:58:01 - 01:58:01 | Unknown:

Okay.

01:58:02 - 01:58:20 | Speaker 1:

All right. All right. I'm glad to hear that. Let's go to, is it Mariah or is it Maria? Mariah or Maria? Who we got on the line? Maria. Maria. That's one of my songs. Maria, Maria. Another Carlos Santana song? It's a good song. Okay. All right, Maria. what happened what happened to you did you witness someone getting broke up with or

01:58:20 - 01:58:38 | Speaker 2:

somebody dumped yes i i witnessed this couple inside of the airport during their connection flight break up oh god no what but you still have to sit next to each other don't you i i didn't follow up on it i just watched it all happen oh see i would have been on now if

01:58:38 - 01:58:49 | Speaker 1:

they was on my flight i'm watching oh i am invested at that point was it a was it a crazy like argument or was it one of those like is your mama trying to yell at you through your teeth like

01:58:49 - 01:59:23 | Speaker 2:

what kind of scene did they make so they were eating lunch at a table at one of the restaurants and he was on the phone sitting next to her with the girl he was cheating on her with oh now i'm really invested i had to eavesdrop so she found out who he was talking to I started screaming, like, how dare you? Who the heck do you think you are? And she got up and left, and then he was on the phone talking to the person, talking about, yeah, it's over now. Oh, my gosh.

01:59:23 - 01:59:40 | Speaker 1:

This is insane. This is insane. At Jolly Pumpkin. This is the scene that's going down at DTW. That is crazy. And did you see either of them again after this fight? Was any one person on the same flight as you?

01:59:41 - 01:59:48 | Speaker 2:

No, no. I didn't see where she went. She ran off in the whole direction, and then she left without paying his bill.

01:59:49 - 02:00:00 | Speaker 1:

Oh, man. That is crazy. That is absolutely crazy. That's the worst way to break up, I feel like, is in the airport, especially if you're going on a trip with that same person. Unless we're going to all.

02:00:00 - 02:00:09 | Speaker 9:

All-inclusive, where I know I'm having alcohol. Yeah, that is good. Hey, Caitlin, good morning. Good morning. So someone broke up with you?

02:00:10 - 02:00:12 | Speaker 7:

No, I broke up with them.

02:00:12 - 02:00:15 | Speaker 9:

Whoa, okay. What was the situation, and where were you?

02:00:16 - 02:00:19 | Speaker 6:

We were in Disney World with her family. No.

02:00:19 - 02:00:20 | Speaker 9:

You bastard.

02:00:20 - 02:00:25 | Speaker 6:

You cannot do that. The happiest place on earth. Caitlin, you couldn't wait?

02:00:25 - 02:00:53 | Speaker 7:

no it was intense we were like picking out pearls to like make necklaces and stuff and then her ex called her and i was like oh no this is mom so how did you guys do the rest of the trip uh i was gonna get a flight back but it's only for my day so wow so you're you're with her

02:00:53 - 02:01:07 | Speaker 9:

and you're building pearl necklaces and you see her ex pop up on the phone yeah and i straight up said that did you say something or like did she answer it and you're

02:01:07 - 02:01:24 | Speaker 7:

like like what happened when you saw the name pop up no she tried to hide it and then turned all red and i was like oh no you're doing something sketchy so i took the phone and then she's been and, like, contacting her and chatting on me with her.

02:01:24 - 02:01:26 | Speaker 9:

Oh. You see messages.

02:01:26 - 02:01:31 | Speaker 6:

So I blew up in the middle of Disney. How did her family react to this happening between you two?

02:01:33 - 02:01:39 | Speaker 7:

It was kind of awkward because we drove there. Oh, my God.

02:01:40 - 02:01:44 | Speaker 9:

So you drove back. What was that car ride back like?

02:01:45 - 02:01:47 | Speaker 7:

Oh, I sat in a different seat.

02:01:47 - 02:02:11 | Speaker 9:

Oh, yeah. Because the passenger is so much different than the back. Kev, really quick. What would Goofy say if he saw her? Of course there, Caitlin. Pearl necklaces. You can't leave her. That's insane. I can imagine at Disney. Isn't that crazy? Trish, last call on this one, Trish. Good morning to you. How are you? Hey, Trish.

02:02:12 - 02:02:24 | Speaker 8:

First time in a long time. Yes, welcome back, Trish. Welcome back. Yay. I am trying for that Vegas trip every day. I'm trying, trying. I want to be there with you, baby.

02:02:25 - 02:02:29 | Speaker 9:

Listen, 200-200. That is the number to text. The word is Vegas. Keep trying.

02:02:29 - 02:02:52 | Speaker 8:

Every day, over and over. So did you get broken up with, or what happened to you? Okay. So what happens when you're stupid enough to go back and back and back, and then you're in her bed in the middle of the night, butt naked, and you realize I should not be here. So I left, and that's how I broke up with her.

02:02:53 - 02:02:53 | Unknown:

Oh.

02:02:55 - 02:03:00 | Speaker 6:

You put your clothes on before you left, right? Just making sure. Absolutely. Okay.

02:03:00 - 02:03:08 | Speaker 9:

That post on a clarity hit different. I'm telling you. She said, I'm butt naked. This is not where I need to be. Good for you, Trish.

back to mojo in the morning mojo in the morning show the number is 844 mojo live 844-665-6548 right before the dirty i want you guys to stay tuned in because we're giving away tickets for matt rife sold out show so that's a little a little early tidbit but before then tidbit Who am I, bro? You just start saying random stuff, dog. When you're all like, what am I? All right, dog. But yeah, Shannon, I want to talk to you, dog. So Friday night, pretty good night, Mojo's party. Why are you saying this to me? You tell me. Sometimes we talk about things off air, and I'm like, all right, here we go.

02:06:09 - 02:06:20 | Speaker 4:

I had so much fun at Mojo's Hall of Fame party on Friday. We all had. It was a good time. That was a great party. And, Kev, I feel like I didn't even really see you. I mean, I saw you for, like, two seconds.

02:06:20 - 02:06:27 | Speaker 3:

I mean, you know, Shannon, when your face is, you know, in the bottom of a glass the entire night, it's hard to see you there.

02:06:27 - 02:06:30 | Speaker 4:

I definitely drank a lot, but I didn't, I mean.

02:06:31 - 02:06:34 | Speaker 3:

Your hair said it all. What was her hair?

02:06:34 - 02:08:49 | Speaker 4:

It was everything. Because I was dancing. In true Shan fashion, at the end of the night, on the way out the door, I always, if there's a floral arrangement available, I'm taking it. It's mine. Even if I'm not supposed to take it. And so sure enough, I did. And the next morning, Wes was like, oh, you, because I was like, oh, there's flowers on the thing. I took, I obviously took some of the hydrangeas and he's like, yeah, I have a video. I go, oh, you didn't, why didn't you post it? And he goes, you're going to thank me when you see the video. My hair was all over the place. I got to see it now. Here's the thing. Send it, Wes. No, I had three glasses of wine at the party and that's all I drank. And then Ryan Kessler, Mojo's buddy, made me take, what is this Ocho tequila that everybody's, oh, dude, it was like water. So I remember you got, you were there, everybody was taking a shot of tequila. I think I took a sip. So that's all I had the whole night was three glasses of wine and tequila, which is a lot, but it's not crazy to me. Shout out to Matt, too. Oh, Matt, the bartender, was great. I, I, it was a lot for me. I did not even feel drunk at all. I really didn't, but apparently, um, so I wake up on Saturday morning and I looked at my sweet husband and I was like, oh my gosh, I, I feel so bad. Like, I know I came home and just passed out and fell asleep. And we had like been, you know, like joking with each other all day about after the party, we didn't have any kids. We were going to come home and like bake cookies. And this was a thing all day friday and i'm like i'm so sorry that i came home and fell asleep and he looked at me he's like nope we didn't you didn't just fall asleep like we definitely had sex save the apology you guys i don't remember that at all and i looked at him and he's like you don't remember do you and i said well no i know and he's like shannon i asked you and made sure and he's like and you were definitely into it like it wasn't like you know you were definitely into it i am so what's the word i'm looking for i am mortified that i don't remember i feel like we've everybody

02:08:49 - 02:08:59 | Speaker 3:

if you're being what i'm gonna say everybody most people on this show have definitely been blacked out drunk before and then woke up and had no idea oh yeah and he's like how do you think it

02:08:59 - 02:09:04 | Speaker 4:

makes me feel that you didn't remember and he's like i asked you several times and you were very

02:09:04 - 02:09:25 | Speaker 3:

clearly yes you were you were well aware i was aware 844 mojo live 844-665-6548 who has had one of those nights where you may be drunk a little bit too much and you woke up in the morning and either footage was taken at you or somebody said a picture and you were like hell no i have

02:09:25 - 02:09:31 | Speaker 4:

no idea that i was apologizing i'm so sorry we did it we had been talking about it all day and He's like, nope, we did. He was well aware.

02:09:32 - 02:09:35 | Speaker 3:

Kaji, I know you had some nights at Michigan State.

02:09:36 - 02:09:59 | Speaker 2:

Well, this was actually before Michigan State. We in the high school? I'll turn off the radio. Allegedly. I remember. Actually, I don't remember. I was told this. A long time ago, I came home from my ex-boyfriend's house. I was so blackout drunk. My mom was, like, trying to put me to bed, and I ended up peeing on my mom. Ha, ha, ha.

02:10:00 - 02:10:17 | Speaker 4:

That's not the topic. What? You peed on your mama? I was so black-eyed drunk, I peed on my mom. She didn't think you should give me a shower. I don't remember any of this. She had to tell me all this. That was the issue. I don't remember doing any of that.

02:10:18 - 02:10:27 | Speaker 2:

I've never peed on anybody. That is insane. You just whip it out and just like dribble it. Girls don't whip it out.

02:10:27 - 02:10:34 | Speaker 4:

I was like, I don't know if that's the issue. I think when I was getting changed, I just started peeing on her. I don't know. It's crazy.

02:10:34 - 02:11:17 | Speaker 2:

Just flowing. I do remember when I had my birthday party a couple of years ago, I was so drunk when I got home. I was done. Shout out to my friend Tressa who drove us home. Thank you so much for that because I might still be there on the ground. I wake up the next morning and there's like boxes and stuff because we're changing clothes coming to go. And I grab a box and it's leaking at the bottom. I didn't realize I threw up in it. I had a shoebox next to my bed. I'm like, what is this? Why is it wet? Open it up. It's just chunks of salmon and Hennessy. Oh, my gosh. I know it was one of those type of nights, though. One of those type of nights. Hey, Lauren, everybody wants me to change the topic, so we'll talk to you. Good morning, Lauren. How are you?

02:11:17 - 02:11:41 | Speaker 4:

Good morning. I'm good. How are you? We're doing fantastic. What happened to you? So the same thing as Shannon. We were in Florida for, like, an adult-only weekend. and we drank around the world in Epcot, yeah, and went back to the hotel, and apparently I had sex in the shower, and he had no idea.

02:11:42 - 02:11:43 | Speaker 2:

That sounds like it was a great night.

02:11:44 - 02:11:57 | Speaker 4:

I woke up from my nap with wet hair, and I was like, what the heck happened? And was he fully aware of what happened? Oh, yeah. He was like, you didn't know that we, I was like, I have no idea.

02:11:57 - 02:12:20 | Speaker 2:

i lost hours of my day same as west we're not gonna forget when we have sex i guarantee you that much we're not forgetting those type of moments i'm on shannon's side but i laugh about it so it's okay yeah it's all good from lauren to lexi good morning lexi how are you good how are you guys we're feeling good what's your comment for shannon okay so don't feel bad because

02:12:20 - 02:12:53 | Speaker 1:

honestly my husband took me to a bill murray concert out in grand rapids and i'm from oakland county so it's like three hours away i was on antibiotics and i didn't know i wasn't supposed to drink on it i had two and a half beers when i tell you i was so drunk i don't even remember throwing up in my friend's car my husband had to detail it the next day i had to buy my husband a brand new backpack because apparently i was throwing up in it and i made a friend at the concert and her and i still text to this day but i haven't told her i don't remember meeting her and I can't even tell you what songs they play.

02:12:55 - 02:12:58 | Speaker 2:

That's the best part of the story. Texting somebody you don't even remember

02:12:58 - 02:13:16 | Speaker 1:

and having a years-long relationship. She's like, apparently her daughter went crowd surfing. She sent me videos and, like, we still talk. And I'm like, okay, cool. Like, we're going to meet up in January when my daughter has competitions in Ohio and we're going to, you know, hang out and whatnot. She seems really fun, but, like, I don't remember meeting her.

02:13:16 - 02:13:24 | Speaker 2:

You got to tell her to wear, like, a red hat or something. You'll never know. Hey, Jennifer, good morning. What happened to you on your birthday?

02:13:26 - 02:14:18 | Speaker 3:

Hey, so my dad, he was reading my mom for like 20 years, right? And then I'm getting divorced when I was 18. That's when I started partying on partying. And so I got drunk at home for my birthday on jaegers and i go back to the trailer that my dad was staying at with his new girlfriend and i stayed in his daughter her daughter's bed and uh i ended up growing up and i just put a pillow over it and i left the next morning you put a pillow over the throw up and then you left Yeah. Oh, my God. You didn't even try. No, and nobody even said anything. It's the crazy part.

02:14:18 - 02:14:23 | Speaker 2:

Oh, my gosh. Could you imagine? No. Could you imagine coming home?

02:14:23 - 02:14:25 | Speaker 4:

It was probably dry and crusty.

02:14:25 - 02:14:27 | Speaker 2:

Oh, you smelled it as soon as you came into the house.

02:14:27 - 02:14:30 | Speaker 4:

And it was Jaeger, too. Oh, my dad is the worst.

02:14:30 - 02:14:35 | Speaker 2:

You got to throw away the pillow because it's all soaked in there. Move. I don't know. I was like, you got 12 years old.

02:14:35 - 02:14:38 | Speaker 3:

And she was just like, I just did not like them.

02:14:39 - 02:14:43 | Speaker 2:

You left him a present. Shame on you, Jennifer. Hey, Michelle, good morning.

02:14:44 - 02:14:46 | Speaker 3:

Good morning. How are you guys?

02:14:46 - 02:14:47 | Speaker 2:

We're doing great, Michelle. How are you?

02:14:49 - 02:14:49 | Speaker 3:

Good.

02:14:50 - 02:14:51 | Speaker 2:

You don't get drunk, do you?

02:14:52 - 02:14:54 | Speaker 3:

Well, you know, not very often.

02:14:55 - 02:14:56 | Speaker 2:

But when you do.

02:14:57 - 02:15:00 | Speaker 3:

Yeah, so I was like, I was in the middle.

02:15:00 - 02:15:33 | Speaker 2:

of a divorce and it was christmas and i had my dad there and cousins there who were hanging out and they all got me so drunk and my cousin's wife was recording this whole thing taking place but like my arms are flailing everywhere i'm telling everybody how much i love them i don't remember this and uh they had to get me off the like by the kitchen table and lay me down I was sitting on a mattress because I was just dry-heating, I guess. I don't remember.

02:15:34 - 02:15:34 | Unknown:

You were out.

02:15:34 - 02:15:47 | Speaker 2:

And the next morning, I woke up, and I was like, wow, I'm surprised I didn't throw up. My dad tells me the next morning, he goes, you were spooking your mouth. I don't know what you're talking about.

02:15:47 - 02:15:50 | Speaker 6:

Oh. At least you didn't throw up in somebody's present.

02:15:51 - 02:15:58 | Speaker 2:

And it was crazy. So now my fiance, he's like, we are not getting you drunk like that, ever. I don't want to see you like that.

02:15:58 - 02:16:25 | Speaker 6:

Christmas drunk is interesting. Like, there are some holidays where I can be like, ah, I can see it. Christmas around the family is definitely not one of those holidays where I see you flailing drunk. Hey, Brandon, you'll be our last caller, my man. What's going on? What's going on, man? How you doing, Shannon? Good morning. Talk to us, man. Yeah, man, I was so blacked out. This was back in the day I used to hang out in Canada at a young age. Oh, yeah.

02:16:25 - 02:16:35 | Speaker 2:

And I got drunk, man. I woke up the next morning and found out I took a dump in the dog's laundry sink.

02:16:35 - 02:16:36 | Speaker 5:

Oh! No!

02:16:36 - 02:16:46 | Speaker 6:

Dude, it in the laundry sink. Oh, my God. What? Who found it? Did you find it or somebody else? Well, my girlfriend found it. She was really disgusting.

02:16:48 - 02:16:52 | Speaker 3:

I don't even know what he said, but his poor girlfriend. I'm stuck on that. That's all I heard.

02:16:52 - 02:16:54 | Speaker 6:

My girlfriend found it, and she was disgusting.

02:16:55 - 02:16:55 | Speaker 2:

Oh, yeah.

02:16:56 - 02:16:57 | Speaker 6:

How long was she your girlfriend?

02:16:58 - 02:17:02 | Speaker 2:

Uh, yeah, oh, we was blocking. We was blocking.

02:17:02 - 02:17:04 | Speaker 6:

Okay. Ugh.

02:17:04 - 02:17:07 | Speaker 4:

She ain't dumped me after that. She probably sprayed it out.

02:17:07 - 02:17:19 | Speaker 6:

Ugh, you doodoo in a laundry sink. I'm guessing you guys didn't work out. Man, that was horrible. These calls are just too good, man. We got to take one more. Hey, Troy.

02:17:22 - 02:17:22 | Speaker 4:

Hey, what up, though?

02:17:23 - 02:17:24 | Speaker 6:

What's going on, Troy? What's your drunk story?

02:17:24 - 02:18:03 | Speaker 4:

hey so back in college um shoot i was new to drinking back in college so me and the homies got we got hella beers um i got a personal like 16 pack of those aluminum bud weisers a personal 16 pack yeah personal 16 pack i was feeling myself they look good i was It was going to be a great night. So I get that 16-pack solo, start drinking them. All the homies, they killing beer, so I'm trying to catch up. I end up going in the box, bro. I'm on my last drink.

02:18:05 - 02:18:12 | Speaker 6:

Wait, wait, wait, wait, Troy. Troy, Troy, Troy, we can't say those words. But you don't remember anything, and then what happened the next day?

02:18:13 - 02:18:28 | Speaker 4:

I don't remember anything. Next thing I remember is waking up the next day on their couch. The homie, he's next to me. He's already awake. He tells me, he's like, you had a great night.

02:18:28 - 02:18:35 | Speaker 6:

Stop swearing. You got two strikes. And just get to the point. So you woke up the next morning. What did he tell you?

02:18:36 - 02:18:45 | Speaker 4:

He tells me I had peed in my homie's fridge.

02:18:45 - 02:18:47 | Speaker 6:

In the refrigerator? Like straight fridge?

02:18:47 - 02:18:56 | Speaker 4:

In the refrigerator. Oh, my goodness. After I finished my last beer, I just got up from the couch, walked over to the fridge, opened it up, and did my thing.

02:18:56 - 02:18:59 | Speaker 6:

Bro, did you go to the fridge and see what you did?

02:19:01 - 02:19:05 | Speaker 4:

No, it was the next day, and it wasn't, he cleaned it out already.

02:19:05 - 02:19:18 | Speaker 6:

Oh, my gosh, that's so disgusting. My man was hungry and full at the same time. I'll tell you, 16 beers, bro, I'm surprised you ain't pee on yourself. Surprise is not dead. Right. No more cussing, Troy. We'll talk to you soon, bro.

02:19:19 - 02:19:30 | Speaker 1:

The only person nicer than a guy trying to sleep with you is a guy trying to sleep with you for the first time. This is Mojo in the Morning. Mojo in the Morning's Dirty on the 30.

02:19:30 - 02:19:36 | Speaker 3:

Final dirty, Shannon! I'm doing this story again because I know now you watch the video of Benny Blanco eating the blueberries.

02:19:36 - 02:19:38 | Speaker 6:

Yes, I want these blueberries.

02:19:38 - 02:19:59 | Speaker 3:

If you have not seen this, please go to the Googles, as Kev said. But Benny Blanco, who is Selena Gomez's fiance, if you're not aware, He was on TikTok eating this, opening and eating this $200 box of individually packaged oversized blueberries. I mean, these things are like his biggest quarters. And he was like, each of these is like a meal. They're delicious.

02:20:00 - 02:21:53 | Speaker 2:

blah, blah, blah. And viewers were saying how tone deaf he was for doing this in, you know, during a time when a lot of people can't even afford groceries. Regular blueberries are expensive, let alone this $200 box of blueberries. Others defending Benny, reminding people he did not buy the blueberries. They were sent to him. They were either a gift or a PR drop or something like that. Nonetheless, Benny Blanco and the blueberries, if you're confused, why that is trending that is the story right there did you guys watch the sopranos uh not really okay so i know it was super super popular it's actually on my list it was one of the shows that wes and i were going to start before he got mad at me and took a walk this week because we couldn't figure out coming to watch um but jerry alder who is best known for his role as hash robkin on the sopranos has died he was 96 years old the story that i love about him though was that he didn't even start acting until he was in his mid-60s. Love that. He was like almost 70 years old, I think. He usually was working behind the scenes on Broadway. He was a theater guy, but didn't start acting until he was almost 70 years old and then just became uber, uber famous. He was also on Mad About You, Transparent, and The Good Wife. Warner Brothers is making a movie called With the Eighth Pick about Kobe Bryant's entry into the 1996 NBA draft. There's a question mark at the end. That's why I said it like that. But the story focuses on the New Jersey Nets front office, who they had the eighth pick. They wanted Kobe. Financial issues and Kobe's preference for the Lakers got in the way. So that's how that story ends. But the movie is going to be similar in style to the movie Moneyball. Okay. Great, great movie. So they're focusing on the business side of the draft rather than Kobe's actually playing career. But the focus is how he got drafted to the Lakers.

02:21:53 - 02:21:54 | Speaker 3:

Can't wait to see that.

02:21:54 - 02:22:33 | Speaker 2:

And speaking of movies, K-pop Demon Hunters won the box office this weekend with an $18 million debut over showings on Saturday and Sunday. So if you're going, wait a second, I watched it on Netflix. Yeah, it was released on Netflix back in June. It gained so much popularity since its release. I know several songs have made it onto the Billboard charts. It is one of Netflix's most watched films of all time, but they brought it to the theaters just to see how it would do. And it did great. came in number one that's crazy in second place was weapon uh weapons excuse me followed by freakier friday and the fantastic four came in fourth place freakier friday was trash it was

02:22:33 - 02:22:42 | Speaker 4:

terrible i have a feeling that we're gonna start seeing that trend is where they start out on streaming services and then you'll get the which is so funny because it's flip i don't know you'll

02:22:42 - 02:23:01 | Speaker 3:

think so i don't know why i unless i'm a really really big fan of the film and need to see it in a larger screen like they say formatted for the film yeah i don't know why i would watch something for free on netflix and then go pay to see it in the movies like i just don't understand that experience it's literally on netflix right now for the free yeah i'm thinking about like a

02:23:01 - 02:23:05 | Speaker 4:

batman movie if i see it at home i'm definitely gonna want to see it in the theater that's one

02:23:05 - 02:23:13 | Speaker 3:

of those movies where i feel like it's formatted for the screen you gotta see it in a larger venue but shout out to them being able to flip it like that hey for everything you missed today you can

02:23:13 - 02:23:19 | Speaker 2:

still catch up on the podcast search mojo in the morning in the free i heard radio app I want to do the Love Island story.

02:23:19 - 02:23:30 | Speaker 3:

Oh, crap, I totally forgot to do this. Lydia, you had to remind me. Maybe we'll do Trinity News. Okay. And then we'll do it in there. Yeah, I need to grab the audio from it, Lydia.

02:23:30 - 02:23:30 | Speaker 2:

Yeah.

02:23:30 - 02:23:30 | Speaker 3:

Okay, okay.

02:23:31 - 02:23:43 | Speaker 2:

Love Island. Celebrity Dirt, directly from the source, is Mojo in the Morning's Dirty on the 30. It's time for more Mojo. Mojo in the Morning.

02:23:44 - 02:23:59 | Speaker 3:

Mojo in the Morning show. So, Bianca lives a crazy life. And you know that show where it used to be like kids say the darndest things? Bianca is still a kid at heart because she says some stuff that I'm like, bruh, what were you thinking? What did you say? What happened?

02:24:00 - 02:24:31 | Speaker 1:

All right. So, I was out in Royal Oak on Saturday, and there was a guy who walked past. He was pretty cute. And I saw him. When he smiled at me, he just had really nice teeth. Like yours, but like 10 shades lighter. All right? So I knew. Don't try to throw some shade. Okay, go ahead, go ahead. White, white, white teeth. White, white, white, white. All right. So he definitely got his teeth done. They're definitely veneers. Maybe in Turkey. I don't even know. Maybe in Turkey. So I went up to him and I was like, I love your teeth, but I know they're fake. But they look good. Y'all.

02:24:32 - 02:24:33 | Speaker 3:

Did y'all even say hello?

02:24:33 - 02:24:33 | Unknown:

No.

02:24:34 - 02:24:57 | Speaker 1:

That was the first thing I said to him. I was like, you have really nice teeth, but I know they're fake. And he didn't really speak good English. So I don't know if he really understood. Why would you say that to his face, though? Honestly, guys, I have no idea. I was not thinking. I was, like, a little tipsy, you know, but then I would say that's sober. Like, I don't know. I don't think that's a bad thing.

02:24:57 - 02:25:00 | Speaker 3:

I feel like there's this feeling.

02:25:00 - 02:25:04 | Speaker 2:

that some people have in their brains that the thought then there's the filter

02:25:04 - 02:25:14 | Speaker 3:

then there's actually what's communicated was he still smiling with

02:25:14 - 02:25:25 | Speaker 5:

the turkey veneers after you said after chasing me down the street was like you're so beautiful could I have your number and I was like I'll give you my

02:25:25 - 02:25:29 | Speaker 2:

instagram i'm not doing phone number chase you down if i could just hear his teeth clicking like

02:25:29 - 02:25:48 | Speaker 5:

those piano keys that's insane but here's the thing i'd rather be way too honest rather than being fake for sure for sure i know but he didn't ask you for your opinion i didn't even know his name but it's okay

02:25:48 - 02:25:56 | Speaker 2:

it's one of those situations where when they were speaking to you that's all you're looking at Like, you're making zero eye contact. You're just straight teeth contact. Like, this is all I can see.

02:25:56 - 02:26:04 | Speaker 5:

You can tell, though. Like, if you're going to get your teeth done and they don't look fake, they don't look real, like, people are going to say something. But I was being nice about it. I said that his smile was really nice.

02:26:04 - 02:26:26 | Speaker 2:

Yeah. And you didn't call this kid say darndest things. What did you say? Like, what shouldn't be said? Or Shannon, you said something. You're way too honest. Yes, you're way too honest. What is your way too honest moment? Either something you said, something someone said to you, or you were an innocent bystander and watched this happen. And give us a call, 844-MOJO-LIVE, 844-665-6548.

02:26:27 - 02:26:29 | Speaker 5:

Kevin, I feel like you're pretty honest, too.

02:26:29 - 02:27:06 | Speaker 2:

Listen, I had a situation, and I guess my honesty resulted in Josiah being honest. So cousin, one of my cousins, we pull up because she has some cookies that she wanted to give Josiah. And I feel like I haven't seen her in a while. She's a beautiful woman. But I haven't seen her, I want to say, kind of all summer now that I think about it. So a couple of months. I get out the car. Josiah gets out first. He's running up. He's hugging her. I'm like, man, let me get out the car, too. So I get out the car. I'm like, okay, skinny. I see you. Like, trying to show love because she done lost a lot of weight. I'm like, okay, skinny. Josiah, like, yes, you are skinny. You went from this to, I'm talking about, stretched his arms as wide as he could.

02:27:07 - 02:27:16 | Speaker 3:

He said, you went from this to this. She's like, okay, thank you. He's like, and look at your face. You just look so much younger. He's like, you look like a different person. The whole time, I'm like, oh.

02:27:16 - 02:27:17 | Speaker 4:

No, no, no, no, no, no.

02:27:17 - 02:27:24 | Speaker 3:

These are supposed to be compliments, but they don't feel like compliments. Compliments aren't supposed to hurt. That's what it feels like.

02:27:25 - 02:27:28 | Speaker 5:

Maybe Weylo's compliments are a good thing, though. Maybe she liked hearing that.

02:27:28 - 02:27:31 | Speaker 2:

I think it's, she said she did, but I think it's, isn't it how you say it?

02:27:31 - 02:27:41 | Speaker 3:

Like, you don't say you went from this and your face and your face. That's insane. The arm gestures were the added touch. That's just way too much, Joe.

02:27:41 - 02:27:53 | Speaker 2:

We got to figure out, good in heart, but not in practice. All right, so yeah, give us a call, 844-MOJO-LIVE. I know we got some people out there who have your way to honest moments. And it's not just kids, because adults are honest, too.

02:27:53 - 02:27:54 | Speaker 1:

It's got to be adults.

02:27:54 - 02:27:59 | Speaker 2:

That's right. Steve, what's your way to honest moment, or what do you got to say on Bianca's honest moment?

02:28:00 - 02:28:14 | Speaker 4:

All right, look, Kev, from this story all the way back to when she witnessed a drug deal going on, Bianca has zero impulse control.

02:28:16 - 02:28:16 | Speaker 3:

Zero.

02:28:17 - 02:28:19 | Speaker 5:

That is true. Like, none.

02:28:20 - 02:28:20 | Speaker 3:

Tell you.

02:28:21 - 02:28:23 | Speaker 5:

And I'm probably never going to get any, ever.

02:28:23 - 02:28:32 | Speaker 2:

That's why we love you. Do you, girl. Tell you. It's like, I don't know what animal that is. They're like, see snake, kill snake. Like, you see it, and I go get it. Like, that's Bianca.

02:28:33 - 02:28:33 | Speaker 3:

Mm-hmm.

02:28:33 - 02:28:39 | Speaker 2:

Right. All right, is it Cara or Cara? Cara or Cara?

02:28:39 - 02:28:41 | Speaker 1:

Oh, it's Cara. Cara.

02:28:41 - 02:28:44 | Speaker 2:

Hey, Cara. What's your being way too honest moment?

02:28:45 - 02:28:52 | Speaker 1:

Well, it was my husband. I'm let me take off my echoing no no no

02:28:52 - 02:28:55 | Speaker 2:

you're good you sound perfect coming our way what did your husband do

02:28:55 - 02:29:11 | Speaker 1:

I'm 40 weeks pregnant and I have pretty major stretch marks and I asked my husband if I still looked cute and he goes yeah but just a little war torn oh my god what a dumbass oh my goodness

02:29:11 - 02:29:12 | Speaker 5:

that's bad

02:29:12 - 02:29:14 | Speaker 1:

it was rough I feel bad laughing

02:29:14 - 02:29:16 | Speaker 2:

I apologize for laughing that's not fun

02:29:16 - 02:29:22 | Speaker 1:

By the way, is that him? Yeah, he's in the car. What's his name?

02:29:22 - 02:29:34 | Speaker 3:

She still laughed, though. What's her name? Nick. Nick. What were you thinking, Nick? Ask Gasket Nick. Ask Gasket Nick. What were you thinking, man?

02:29:35 - 02:29:39 | Speaker 4:

You know, sometimes you just don't. That's the perfect way.

02:29:40 - 02:29:46 | Speaker 1:

Congratulations, you guys, by the way. Any day now. Any day. We're hoping for today.

02:29:46 - 02:29:51 | Speaker 3:

Wow. Do we know? We're in the parking lot of the hospital. Are you serious? Yep.

02:29:51 - 02:29:57 | Speaker 5:

Are you guys naming the baby Mojo by chance? Yeah, we'll think about it. We'll add it to the list.

02:29:57 - 02:29:59 | Speaker 2:

Yeah, maybe Kevin. I like that better. Maybe.

02:30:00 - 02:30:21 | Speaker 4:

middle name for mojo we'll go with kevin though kevin right after cara you know i like that well congratulations to you too and nick relax my man let's go to sydney hey good morning sydney how are you good morning good morning what's your uh what's your moment where the person probably said

02:30:21 - 02:30:46 | Speaker 3:

a little too much than what they were supposed to so i have two stories one is about me and one is about one of the inmates that i am like a supervisor i am a ceo okay and my story i have veneers so i get compliments all the time and people be like oh my god your teeth are so pretty i'm like thanks they're fake you come right out and see it okay yeah because i paid a lot of money

02:30:46 - 02:30:54 | Speaker 4:

so compliment them i like that did you go to turkey too like bianca's friend or no are these Are these local? Are these domestic veneers?

02:30:56 - 02:31:23 | Speaker 3:

And then my CO story is I had one of my inmates came up and said, do you want to know what my daughter did when she was four? I was like, yeah, they were at church. And one of the church ladies came over and said, hey, can I have a slice of pizza? Well, the four-year-old turned over and was like, well, do you got teeth? If you don't got teeth, you ain't get a slice of pizza. Oh, my God. i just looked at her and i was like you gotta go back to yourself i can't laugh

02:31:23 - 02:31:44 | Speaker 4:

listen if you can't chew it you can't get it yeah she was like well you don't get no pizza kids are brutal oh my gosh rick good morning rick what's up my man good morning kev how y'all doing we doing great man how are you well you know i'm living a dream out here i love it man what do you

02:31:44 - 02:32:21 | Speaker 5:

got to add to this conversation so this is back when i was serving the military i was doing what they call cts physical okay okay thank you for your service too by the way thank you and so i'm sitting in a row of chairs next to other soldiers when i look down the hallway and i'm like wow that is one ugly bitc you know where we're going yeah and the dude next to me is like where and i'm like right there. He's like, man, that's my wife. No! I swear to God

02:32:21 - 02:32:25 | Speaker 4:

that happened. Bro, did he beat your ass or like, how did that go?

02:32:25 - 02:32:43 | Speaker 5:

What happened next? No, or I'll leave it. I mean, I have to assume he agrees with me. I don't care what happens. He goes, she was happy with you. I promise you, I've never spoke about another person out loud to anybody.

02:32:43 - 02:32:59 | Speaker 4:

Lizzie, you did enough in that one moment to last a lifetime. Exactly. And that was almost 40 years ago. And you still remember it. And she's still ugly. Oh, man. Chris, I don't know how you topped that one, Chris, but what's your moment?

02:32:59 - 02:33:09 | Speaker 1:

Bro, I followed this lady around this store all day to tell her that her forehead was dirty. And it turned out that it was Ash Wednesday.

02:33:12 - 02:33:28 | Speaker 4:

You know what, though? You were just trying to be nice. I was trying to be nice. Yeah. Good Christian, Chris. What a guy. Your forehead is dirty. You thought you was being funny. You're insane, Chris. All right, man. Thanks for the call.

02:33:30 - 02:33:46 | Speaker 5:

Yeah, maybe this show will be good tomorrow. This is Mojo in the Morning. Back to Mojo in the Morning. it's the second date update a mojo in the morning it's all good second date update why are you

02:34:08 - 02:34:22 | Speaker 4:

looks like we may have a uh system error right now the system wants to ghost us let's see if we can just switch real quick see if we can get hazel on figure out why

02:34:22 - 02:34:36 | Speaker 2:

she's not getting a call back hazel you there hi good morning hey good morning hazel so what's going on well i'm getting ghosted by this guy okay um what happened how was the date

02:34:36 - 02:34:39 | Speaker 4:

and how did things go? You've been trying to reach out to him, huh?

02:34:40 - 02:34:46 | Speaker 2:

Yeah, you know, I thought everything was fine. He took me out to dinner and then to a comedy show. Okay.

02:34:46 - 02:34:48 | Speaker 4:

Okay, and things went pretty well?

02:34:49 - 02:34:59 | Speaker 2:

Well, yeah, from looking back at it, yeah. I mean, we didn't like, you know, we didn't hook up or anything. Okay, how did the night end though? Well, you know, kind of typical. Walk me back to my car.

02:35:00 - 02:35:01 | Speaker 5:

Or, you know, we did kiss.

02:35:02 - 02:35:09 | Speaker 1:

Okay. It was good. For all intents and purposes, he seemed like a good gentleman. You thought the date went well, and now he's just nowhere to be found.

02:35:11 - 02:35:14 | Speaker 5:

Yeah, he was a good guy. That's why I'm really confused with his behavior.

02:35:15 - 02:35:20 | Speaker 1:

Okay. All right, well, let's get to the bottom of it. We got Cole on the line. Let's figure out why Cole is ghosting you. Cole, you there?

02:35:22 - 02:35:22 | Speaker 2:

Yeah, I'm here.

02:35:22 - 02:35:38 | Speaker 1:

Yeah, so we just talked to Hazel, man. It seems like you're a pretty good guy. You walked her back to the car. You did the gentlemanly thing. But from your perspective, man, how did the date go? I mean, it went good. Okay, not good enough for you to call her back, though. So what happened?

02:35:38 - 02:35:53 | Speaker 2:

Well, the thing is, she's in PA school. And she wants to wait to date me until her school is done. And that's like three years from now. She wants to be friends, not to date for three years. Like, are you kidding?

02:35:54 - 02:36:02 | Speaker 1:

Wait, what? So you're on a date. She's in, and Hazel, is what he's saying accurate? You're in school right now?

02:36:03 - 02:36:07 | Speaker 5:

Yeah, I'm in school right now trying to be, you know, educated and be a PA.

02:36:07 - 02:36:10 | Speaker 1:

Okay, so congratulations to you first off.

02:36:10 - 02:36:15 | Speaker 4:

So did you actually tell him that you're not interested in dating until you're done?

02:36:16 - 02:36:26 | Speaker 5:

I mean, I want to date. I just don't know, like, how he took that as I don't want to, like, date him. I just don't want to have, like, a serious boyfriend. I want to focus on school.

02:36:27 - 02:36:31 | Speaker 4:

so dumb question why'd you go out on a date then in the first place

02:36:31 - 02:36:48 | Speaker 5:

not a dumb question hazel i mean we went out because he seemed like a good guy we had a nice time i thought he was just interested in going out on a date so hazel you're you're willing to

02:36:48 - 02:36:59 | Speaker 1:

go out with guys and have fun and have a great time but in terms of committing or trying to get to know them on any serious level that's not something you're interested in because you're

02:36:59 - 02:37:05 | Speaker 5:

focusing on school right I'm focusing on school and I don't think that's a big deal I

02:37:05 - 02:37:27 | Speaker 4:

so are you interested in meeting guys I'm just trying to clarify here are you interested in meeting guys to like become friends with are you interested in meeting guys to just hook up with like I understand you don't want anything serious I guess I just don't understand why you would go out on a date if that's not at all what you're actually

02:37:27 - 02:37:36 | Speaker 5:

interested in? I'm interested in going out and dating and meeting people and maybe having a few repeat dates. I just can't commit to anything serious.

02:37:36 - 02:37:45 | Speaker 1:

Okay. And Cole, you're interested in finding someone that can be your someone. You're looking for your person. You're not looking to just have dates.

02:37:47 - 02:37:52 | Speaker 2:

Yeah, and I'm not waiting. I'm not being friends with somebody for three years. Before I date them, like, that makes no sense.

02:37:52 - 02:38:05 | Speaker 1:

Got it. 844-MOJO-LIVE, 844-665-6548. I wonder if Hazel's the only person out there that kind of does this. Is this a normal thing that you're familiar with, Shannon, or?

02:38:05 - 02:38:49 | Speaker 4:

I don't think it's common, but I also don't think that, I know that it happens where people who, let's say, are in, like, medical school studying to become a doctor, they don't want to like they'll wait to get married or something until they're done with her you know medical school or their residency or whatnot they'll put off a big event like that i don't know about the like actual being in a relationship but i'm sure it happens i mean when you're focused on you know a state a particular stage in your life i guess it's hard for me to understand though like putting yourself out there without being very forthcoming with the fact of i do not want a committed relationship. I'm just here to have fun and go out every once in a while for companionship. He's got to make that very clear. Sounds like she did

02:38:49 - 02:39:03 | Speaker 1:

make it clear. And then he's also kind of from the standpoint of, I'm not here just to be a friend. I'm looking for something kind of close to my forever, but let's go to the lines, man. Eric, good morning. Eric, what do you think about this second date update? Honestly,

02:39:03 - 02:39:19 | Speaker 3:

I think they're both really nice people. I think she's a really nice girl, but she's really focused on school and school is really expensive and the biggest expense is food. So maybe she might be building up a roster of free meals.

02:39:19 - 02:39:24 | Speaker 4:

Oh, that's a big accusation. Oh, Lord.

02:39:24 - 02:39:30 | Speaker 3:

If you want a day without any future anything... And you just want a good dinner?

02:39:31 - 02:39:39 | Speaker 1:

Well, Hazel... Or a free night out. Hazel, is that what this is? Are you kind of just connecting with guys to eat for free?

02:39:40 - 02:39:47 | Speaker 5:

Oh, my God, no. that's no that's not what i'm doing at all i guess maybe just kind of meet new people and have fun

02:39:47 - 02:39:59 | Speaker 1:

is bad how many dates are we going on these days hazel i'm not really keeping a count sound like you dating on a full stomach

02:40:00 - 02:40:06 | Speaker 3:

But it doesn't seem like he's the only one that thought about that, though. We got Amanda on the line with some similar insight. Amanda, you feel the same way, huh?

02:40:07 - 02:40:11 | Speaker 9:

I do. I think it's a day to not eat ramen noodles.

02:40:16 - 02:40:38 | Speaker 3:

That is absolutely insane. Can you hear me? Oh, yes. I didn't know you were still talking to me. Okay, yeah. So, but in a relationship, though, which is what Cole wants, that's not what he's going to get with Hazel. No, it's like their timing is off.

02:40:38 - 02:40:43 | Speaker 9:

I think she's just using it as time to get free meals that she doesn't have to cook, that she's paying for school.

02:40:43 - 02:40:58 | Speaker 3:

Yeah. So, in that type of situation, I can understand why he will go ahead and ghost her. Brian, what do you think, man? Are you on the same kind of wavelength as everybody else where she's looking for free meals? Or you have a different thought? Brian?

02:41:00 - 02:41:01 | Speaker 4:

Oh, hey, can you hear me?

02:41:01 - 02:41:02 | Speaker 3:

Yeah, there you go. Hey, Brian.

02:41:03 - 02:41:06 | Speaker 4:

Okay, I'm going to turn this radio down. I'm carrying myself a bit, so.

02:41:07 - 02:41:10 | Speaker 3:

Thank you. So what's going on, Brian?

02:41:10 - 02:41:28 | Speaker 4:

Oh, but. Hey, so I was going to say, I met my wife in college. And at the time, I was the one who was in a demanding field. But yeah, I wasn't willing to commit at the time. Wow, I'm really excellent at that.

02:41:29 - 02:41:40 | Speaker 3:

Okay. I think we might have lost Brian on that one. Let's go to Lynn. Lynn seems to have a different perspective than everybody else that's called. Lynn, what say you?

02:41:41 - 02:41:45 | Speaker 7:

I am very disappointed in you guys and the scholars this morning.

02:41:45 - 02:41:46 | Speaker 1:

Why is that?

02:41:46 - 02:42:07 | Speaker 7:

I feel like men date this way all the time. Most men do not go out looking for their forever. They want to have fun, go out. So why is this a double standard? I feel like it's a double standard for people, and we're expecting to always want a commitment or whatever. What's wrong with going out without wanting to sign forever?

02:42:08 - 02:42:26 | Speaker 3:

I don't think there's anything wrong with going out and wanting to meet people and wanting to connect with people, understanding that you're not looking for something long-term. I also don't think there's anything wrong with Cole, who is looking to date for his forever person and cutting...

02:42:26 - 02:42:33 | Speaker 7:

You know, there's nothing wrong with that either. I just feel like are you looking for free food? He just wants to go out and have fun.

02:42:34 - 02:42:43 | Speaker 2:

Yeah, and I mean... I do think you need to make that known, though, what you are... She did. Well, she did, but then she was calling us wondering why she got ghosted.

02:42:44 - 02:42:51 | Speaker 7:

Yeah, but he wasn't forthcoming and telling her, well, hey, I'm not looking for a fun time.

02:42:51 - 02:42:58 | Speaker 3:

well let's see hazel on the date did cole tell you that he was looking to find someone

02:42:58 - 02:43:10 | Speaker 5:

to kind of be his forever person he didn't really mention anything like that it was kind of just us getting to know each other like on a very basic level okay all right well i mean at that point

02:43:10 - 02:43:24 | Speaker 3:

lynn does have a point maybe he could have communicated it early to her let's talk to somebody who's who's kind of in the field someone who's more focused on school and dating like in this life. Erin, how's it been for you in this situation? She's like, you got some similar

02:43:24 - 02:44:06 | Speaker 8:

insight. Yeah. So I'm a young woman who also attended grad school. I did my master's. I'm now married. I met my husband in grad school and it did happen to work out. But when I was in graduate school, I was a hundred percent focused on getting my degree, building up my career experience. And I was not necessarily dating to look for, you know, my forever partner, but I think it's something that if it's nice that happens but i'm totally in her both of you know it's fully under her purview to be able to date casually if she'd like and i'm 100 on her side of her her focus is is graduate school right now and getting her degree right and i think again you

02:44:06 - 02:44:09 | Speaker 2:

just have to be very clear with that you have to make your intentions very clear or else somebody's

02:44:09 - 02:44:16 | Speaker 3:

gonna feel a little taken advantage of for sure all right two more calls and we'll wrap it up hey Shane. Morning, Shane. What's your take?

02:44:17 - 02:44:40 | Speaker 6:

Morning, Kevin. First time in a long time. Hey, Shane on the phone! Yeah. I was just gonna say, I think if it was a guy, it would be different because I feel like she's just going out to have fun to meet guys and not look for something serious. So if it was a guy doing that and a girl...

02:44:40 - 02:44:43 | Speaker 2:

Don't think that we would let him off the hook Because we wouldn't.

02:44:44 - 02:44:46 | Speaker 3:

No, Shannon got her finger in the air ready to snap.

02:44:46 - 02:44:47 | Speaker 2:

We would not.

02:44:49 - 02:44:56 | Speaker 6:

It wouldn't be. To me, it's just I feel like she put it out there when she wanted.

02:44:57 - 02:44:57 | Speaker 1:

Yeah.

02:44:58 - 02:44:59 | Speaker 6:

And we shouldn't have went.

02:45:00 - 02:45:29 | Speaker 3:

Yeah, it seems like a situation where the honesty was one-sided, where it seems like Hazel was pretty up front with where she's at in her life, what she's looking for. It seems like Cole knew what he wanted and was looking for, but he didn't communicate it to Hazel and kind of just ghosting her wasn't the right way to go about it. We'll end with Tiffany. Yeah, I'm with you, Shane. We'll end with Tiffany. Did I say that right, Tiffany? Hello. Yeah, did I say your name right, Tiffany?

02:45:29 - 02:45:32 | Speaker 4:

You did exactly right. Thank you so much.

02:45:32 - 02:45:35 | Speaker 3:

Come on, man. I'm cold with this. Tiffany, you're our last caller.

02:45:36 - 02:45:53 | Speaker 4:

I agree with Cole. I don't think it's right that she's going out on a date with him and she's just focusing on school. If you want companionship, get your schoolmates and get companionship like that. But that makes no sense. Why go out on a date?

02:45:53 - 02:45:53 | Unknown:

Yeah.

02:45:54 - 02:46:00 | Speaker 4:

That makes no sense. Why go out on a date if you're not going to date for a purpose of being in a relationship or getting married.

02:46:00 - 02:46:01 | Unknown:

Yeah.

02:46:01 - 02:46:36 | Speaker 3:

I understand it. I understand your perspective. I also understand Hazel's. I don't want to just go out with my school buddies all day and just have, you know, PA conversations. I still, you know, have that itch, you know, in some respects that needs to be scratched, even though it's not going to be a forever thing. And as long as she's up front with it, like she was with Cole, then I think she's okay. So I don't think they'll have a second date. It seems like they're in two different stages of their lives. But, Hazel, hopefully you continue to have fun on these dates. And, Cole, hopefully your next date is your forever, man. So good luck to the two of you. Thank you.

02:46:36 - 02:46:36 | Unknown:

All right.

02:46:37 - 02:46:44 | Speaker 2:

Yeah, thanks. This is the home of the dirty on the 30. Throwback, throwdown. Second date update. And War of the Roses. This is Mojo in the Morning.

02:46:45 - 02:46:48 | Speaker 3:

All right. We're going to do trending news. Why not? Let's get into it.

02:46:48 - 02:46:50 | Speaker 2:

Mojo in the Morning's top trending stories.

02:46:51 - 02:47:44 | Speaker 3:

Top trending stories. Few stories to cover. Some cool things and some not-so-cool things took place over the weekend. We'll get into it. First thing I want to talk about is something Shannon actually mentioned during one of her dirties, and it's pretty important for all of my Gmail users. If you are a Gmail user, you need to change your Gmail password. Google has confirmed that hackers are gaining access to Gmail accounts and that compromised passwords are behind a significant number of breaches. The company is urging most users to change their passwords and upgrade their security settings. They recommend adding a passkey and avoid the use of passwords and two-factor authentication. Google has also warned users to be cautious of phishing scams and to avoid clicking on links or downloading attachments from unknown sources. I feel like this is a guarantee every three months that some company is going to run into one of these hacking schemes.

02:47:44 - 02:47:56 | Speaker 1:

But Gmail to me is such a big one because there's so much banking information, personal information, stuff that I want to save forever and ever, like my Gmail tool. And that's for a lot of people.

02:47:56 - 02:48:34 | Speaker 3:

Yeah, photos, videos. Yes. And especially if you have it linked. I have mine linked to my iPhone, so whatever picture I take automatically goes there. Oh, you do? To your Gmail? To my Google Photos. Oh, okay, I got you. Which is kind of linked to my Gmail and the whole Google ecosystem. And I feel like if they have access to the Gmail, then what's stopping them from getting into my Google Drive and everything that's associated with that account? So, again, change your password, update your security settings, and switch to Yahoo. All right, we want to talk to you about the butt sniffer, a 38-year-old registered sex offender named the Butt Sniffing Bandit.

02:48:34 - 02:48:36 | Speaker 1:

That is so disgusting.

02:48:37 - 02:49:21 | Speaker 3:

The Butt Sniffing Bandit was arrested yet again, okay, yet again in Burbank, California, for some lewd behavior. employees at a Walgreens recognized, I don't know how you pronounce his name, so forgive me, but Callies, cut her own Crowder, triple C's, and called the police after he allegedly sniffed a woman's buttocks. He was arrested later that evening and booked into jail early the next morning, and now he's being held without bail. This incident occurred less than one month after a nearly identical episode on July 22nd at a Nordstrom wreck where surveillance captured Crowder following a female shopper crouching behind her and sniffing her rear.

02:49:21 - 02:49:22 | Speaker 1:

Oh my God.

02:49:23 - 02:49:24 | Speaker 3:

Could you imagine?

02:49:24 - 02:49:39 | Speaker 1:

This beats the butt tickler. There was a story a couple of years ago for a long time. No, seriously, about a guy who was breaking into women's homes and apartments and tickling their butts in the middle of the night and people would wake up to him doing this. The butt sniffing in public, I'm sorry, beats that.

02:49:39 - 02:49:45 | Speaker 2:

And he downgraded. He went from Nordstrom Rex to Walmart? What are you expecting to see there?

02:49:45 - 02:49:57 | Speaker 3:

You get more of a variety in Walmart. That is craziness. All different butts in Walmart. Last story I got, and Lydia's got one for you. This is the thong bikini. Yep, it's back.

02:49:58 - 02:49:58 | Speaker 2:

Let's go.

02:49:58 - 02:50:00 | Speaker 3:

Thong bikinis are back.

02:50:00 - 02:50:21 | Speaker 9:

Back in style and becoming mainstream, not just for those celebrities or the beach vacays. I'm talking everyday life. Gen Z is driving the trend, embracing bold swimwear for confidence and self-expression. And big brands are selling them, too. They're selling them through some public pools. But that's the thing. Public pools have banned them for being inappropriate.

02:50:21 - 02:50:24 | Speaker 2:

Lydia, Bianca, would you guys wear a thong bikini? Like, around here? No.

02:50:24 - 02:50:25 | Speaker 9:

Around here? Yeah.

02:50:25 - 02:50:29 | Speaker 2:

Just like if you were going to, you know,

02:50:29 - 02:50:46 | Speaker 8:

like raft off or whatever no no yes or not do you own any bianca yeah it's like i have my bikinis dog she lying her cheeks are always out for real if you saw me in miami cheats were out cheeks if you saw me at raft off cheeks were out but when i'm swimming at home with my family cheeks are not out

02:50:46 - 02:51:50 | Speaker 7:

um so do you guys watch love island i have not this season so it looks like they're experiencing a downfall right now because two of the couples have rumored to break up so the first couple is iris and pepe um pepe was away at a pga nbc thing right now and it's alleged that he cheated with one of the nbc staffers inside of the hotel lobby and yeah so the couple of they've broken up with each other apparently they've unfollowed each other but it's like leading into the show to the point where other couples are now unfollowing each other so we're thinking that they're picking sides right you see what i'm saying so like brian and amaya who won love island yes have unfollowed each other now amaya papaya yes wow her and brian have already each other and then hannah who was recently with pepe before iris had also unfollowed pepe and brian that's crazy so what's the success rate of the show i'm guessing slim to none even for the winners there are some
