Back to Mojo in the Morning. Mojo in the Morning Show. This is called GPS Kev because that's now his new name, GPS Kev. So I saw Kevin a couple of times this past weekend. Saturday night, Kevin and I went to dinner with a whole bunch of friends. Shout out to all of our friends that were there, the Old Blocks. Jeff Sackwa. Judge Vicki Valentine. and Tony the Hafner I mean everybody was there, it was a whole bunch of people we were all in this place and everybody came over to our table because it was a fun table and so we're having fun Kev was wearing his you know Instagram glasses that he has, he's filming everybody with those glasses and we had a great time so the next day I was like hey let's get together again and let's do lunch and Kev says where should we go, I go let's go to the same place It was actually kind of good. Let's go hang out and do the same thing. So we made plans that we were going to get together. And I actually shared with you guys the text. Kevin sent me a text at 1231 yesterday. Still good for one o'clock or are you chilling out today? That's his text that he sent me. I said, yes. Okay. Then I get there at one o'clock. I'm waiting in the parking lot of place because I said, we'll walk in together and then we'll get a table and we'll hang out together. Kevin sends me a text message, and I'll look at the exact times because it doesn't show up on this. Are you reading text out loud now? Yeah, I'm reading text out loud here right now. Oh, you're going there. I got, this is, by the way, Your Honor, I've got all the exhibits here on right now. Kevin's text message to me, so this is 1 o'clock. I send him the text, okay, at 1.28, so I've been sitting in my car for 28 minutes waiting for him. He says, be thee at 145.

00:03:59 - 00:04:00 | Speaker 5:

Be there.

00:04:00 - 00:04:09 | Speaker 3:

Yeah. And then I said, let me know when you pull in. I've been waiting for him, okay? At 146, he sends me, I went to the wrong effing place.

00:04:11 - 00:04:12 | Speaker 5:

How do you go to the wrong place?

00:04:12 - 00:04:33 | Speaker 3:

Well, let me just say this. Mind you, he lives less than 10 minutes from this place. Like, I'm not kidding you. It's less than the McDonald's down the street from the station here, okay? And what he did was, he's so dependent on his GPS that he puts his GPS in there when he goes to the bathroom, you know? And what he did was...

00:04:33 - 00:04:37 | Speaker 5:

How did you do that? Didn't you just push the previous destination from the day prior?

00:04:38 - 00:04:54 | Speaker 3:

He put a new destination in there and hit a destination and just starts driving. He's like, you know, lollygagging, driving. He got all the way to a place that wasn't even close to where we were. it was like 25 minutes away

00:04:54 - 00:05:00 | Speaker 5:

once you hit the 10 minute mark aren't you like huh this is taking a long time I don't think he pays a

00:05:00 - 00:05:43 | Speaker 4:

attention to the road i think he looks at the fake road on the gps on his apple car play or something he drove all the way 30 minutes away from where i sat in that car i sat in that car waiting for him he drove he drove to a different place and i'm thinking to myself a you live 10 minutes from here you were just here literally less than 24 hours ago why are you putting the address back in there i mean i get maybe some people do that because they don't want you know they want the cop alerts you know like where the cops are but um but i also get that people do it because they want to know exactly what time they're going to pull in yes but how do you put the wrong place in and how do you not realize this doesn't look familiar he's not lying you're so

00:05:43 - 00:06:49 | Speaker 3:

pretty listen listen you are so pretty here's the thing so everything he said is accurate just to give more insight i knew i had to have an important phone conversation with someone so i was waiting until i had like travel time to have that conversation so in my mind mind you these places basically have the same name the place that i went to that was the incorrect place and then the place that i was supposed to go to now he's absolutely right was i there not 24 hours before yes but it's not a place i frequent so much so that he gave me the address the day before so to shannon's point yes it was in my maps but because this place has like an identical name or whatever i just selected one now i'm having this important conversation for these 20 minutes now the funny part is the day before it did only take me like 14 minutes to go there and when i put the new place in it said 20 i was like hmm maybe it's just labor day traffic i was like it's labor day traffic that could be it but literally i get there it's like you were riding the nation i was like Yeah, this ain't it.

00:06:50 - 00:07:08 | Speaker 4:

All right. I want to ask this question. Who's the person that follows the GPS so bad or so close that they screwed themselves up? Kevin's the guy that's going to drive into a lake. That is not true. He's going to drive off the side of a bridge that says road closed.

00:07:08 - 00:07:24 | Speaker 2:

No, that's me. It really is me. I'm so, especially since moving up here to the Detroit area, I am so dependent on navigation. It's psychotic. I'm probably more dangerous on the road because I'm constantly checking where I'm supposed to be.

00:07:24 - 00:07:30 | Speaker 3:

I don't think that's a bad thing. Wow. It's only if you have the wrong destination.

00:07:31 - 00:07:33 | Speaker 2:

Yeah, that is dumb as hell.

00:07:33 - 00:07:47 | Speaker 4:

844-MOJO-LIVE, text 95500. This is 313 that says, I can't even laugh at Kev. I drove 20 minutes in the wrong direction trying to get to my apartment. I was in a completely different city. How does that happen?

00:07:47 - 00:08:24 | Speaker 3:

You want to know what's even... Man, so I've had to have an oil change for, like, at least a week. And big shout-out to Valvoline. That's the place I go. And there's one Valvoline in particular that I've gone to, and I like the guys that's there. I play my music live. We be vibing. We be chilling. I cannot find it. And I've gone to, like, four other ones, just putting different ones in the map. And every time I ride by, I'm like, nope. I'm literally, like, a thousand miles over. The date was August 14th. I'm like, I gotta find this one. I don't know where it is. I don't know where it is.

00:08:25 - 00:08:38 | Speaker 4:

I don't get you sometimes. Because sometimes you seem so put together. And then there are other times where I go, how does this guy even survive? I'm a mess. You know, it must be, your mom must do everything still for you, doesn't she?

00:08:38 - 00:08:41 | Speaker 3:

She don't do nothing for me. Oh, you better take that back.

00:08:41 - 00:08:49 | Speaker 4:

She texts me every morning and says, do your best. You better take that back, because she watches that son of yours, and I know that your mom does a lot for you.

00:08:49 - 00:08:50 | Speaker 3:

I love my mom.

00:08:50 - 00:08:53 | Speaker 2:

You know why my dad doesn't do that? Because he knows even my best is disappointing.

00:08:54 - 00:08:55 | Speaker 4:

Just do you.

00:08:56 - 00:08:57 | Speaker 2:

Try, I guess.

00:08:59 - 00:09:11 | Speaker 4:

Try, I guess. I like this text, too. 303 says, are we doing a round of am I the a-hole? Because Kev sounds like it. What's up, CJ? How you doing?

00:09:12 - 00:09:18 | Speaker 1:

Hey, hey. So Kevin is an a-hole for that. Oh, yeah. He should have put you first.

00:09:18 - 00:09:19 | Speaker 4:

Yes.

00:09:19 - 00:09:24 | Speaker 1:

But I have done that same issue before, so I feel his pain.

00:09:24 - 00:09:31 | Speaker 4:

Wait, what issue? The issue of following the GPS or being in the car and waiting and talking and stuff like that?

00:09:32 - 00:09:40 | Speaker 1:

Following the GPS to the wrong location, because I have picked the wrong location with a similar name, too. So, yeah.

00:09:41 - 00:09:48 | Speaker 4:

Yeah. So it is kind of funny when you do go to places and you'll type in the first couple of words, you've got to be specific to know.

00:09:48 - 00:09:49 | Speaker 1:

I'm going to just double check.

00:09:49 - 00:09:51 | Speaker 4:

Like the street names and stuff.

00:09:51 - 00:09:53 | Speaker 1:

Right? Yeah. Right. Oh, Kevin.

00:09:55 - 00:09:55 | Speaker 4:

Yeah.

00:09:55 - 00:09:56 | Speaker 1:

I'm sorry.

00:09:56 - 00:09:57 | Speaker 4:

Never invite them.

00:09:57 - 00:09:58 | Speaker 1:

I love Amy. Oh.

00:09:58 - 00:09:58 | Speaker 4:

Yeah.

00:09:59 - 00:09:59 | Speaker 1:

Thanks.

00:10:00 - 00:10:02 | Speaker 3:

CJ? What's up? Mojo in the morning. Hello.

00:10:03 - 00:10:32 | Speaker 6:

Hi. I was just calling about going to the wrong location. Yeah. What happened? We took a family trip up north to right around Manistee. It was a four-hour drive. We're from the Ann Arbor area. We get up. We stopped in the middle at a brewery. And we stopped at the brewery, got some lunch and beer, got back in the car thinking we were an hour and a half from our destination. 20 minutes out, we realized we were back in Lansing.

00:10:35 - 00:10:36 | Speaker 3:

That's a hell of a drive, huh?

00:10:37 - 00:10:40 | Speaker 6:

Oh, my gosh. Our kids wanted to cry.

00:10:41 - 00:10:50 | Speaker 3:

By the way, you can never take your kids on another road trip ever again. They're going to be like, how are we going to get there? We're driving. No. They're going to be crying. What's up, Darcy?

00:10:51 - 00:11:01 | Speaker 4:

Hey, I'm an Amazon delivery driver, and I'm also just really easily geographically confused all the time. Oh, gosh. I have to follow the GPS everywhere.

00:11:01 - 00:11:05 | Speaker 3:

How do you wait? And that's what you do for a living is you're delivering.

00:11:05 - 00:11:06 | Speaker 4:

It is. Yes.

00:11:07 - 00:11:08 | Speaker 3:

Do people get wrong packages?

00:11:08 - 00:11:19 | Speaker 4:

We have a different type of GPS system, and so it doesn't have exact locations. So it can be a little difficult sometimes to follow if you don't know the area.

00:11:19 - 00:11:23 | Speaker 3:

Do you drive one of those cool trucks that look like they're prehistoric or something? Or is there something weird with them?

00:11:23 - 00:11:26 | Speaker 4:

The electric fan. That was fire. I like the electric.

00:11:26 - 00:11:38 | Speaker 3:

Those things are wild. How did people deliver mail and packages before GPS? They actually knew street names. That's insane to me. Smart people. What's up, Tiffany?

00:11:39 - 00:11:48 | Speaker 7:

Hi, so I have Mike Beat. So when I used to work for a rental company back when they had like the TomTom GPS units, I drove two hours out of my way and realized I was going the wrong way.

00:11:49 - 00:11:51 | Speaker 3:

Two hours? It didn't...

00:11:51 - 00:12:00 | Speaker 7:

Yeah, I just took the break off of where it was supposed to go to Detroit, and I went completely opposite. And it didn't even tell me to turn around or anything. and I just followed it religiously.

00:12:00 - 00:12:13 | Speaker 3:

Oh, my God. So two hours out of the way, and you had to go backpedal and go back the other way. Yeah. Jeez. Two hours seems like it's way too long. I mean, I would be like, this doesn't seem right. What's up, Emily?

00:12:15 - 00:12:39 | Speaker 5:

Hi. So my story is that we're headed to a cruise. We're flying out of Detroit. And we're from Toronto, so it's not that far away. Okay. And we were driving up. My dad put the address, what he thought was the airport, and it was not. But instead of using his GPS on his phone, he used it on the old-style Garmin, whatever it was.

00:12:39 - 00:12:39 | Speaker 3:

Yeah, yeah, yeah.

00:12:39 - 00:12:41 | Speaker 5:

And it took us like an hour and a half away.

00:12:42 - 00:12:43 | Speaker 3:

Where did it take you to? Some guy's driveway?

00:12:44 - 00:12:48 | Speaker 5:

God, oh my gosh. It was like out of the ghetto.

00:12:49 - 00:12:49 | Speaker 6:

It's okay.

00:12:49 - 00:13:07 | Speaker 5:

When they finally arrived to the airport, we were, like, running through the airport trying to get to our flights. We didn't miss our cruise. Was it, like, a bar named the airport? What was it? I want to know how it got confused. I don't know. I don't know. The landing strip.

00:13:08 - 00:13:09 | Speaker 3:

That's where it was?

00:13:09 - 00:13:10 | Speaker 5:

Were you at the strip club?

00:13:10 - 00:13:40 | Speaker 1:
