All right. It is Mojo in the morning. I'm not ready for football. Why not? The Lions are kicking off their season tonight. I just don't feel like 90 degrees with 100% feels and stuff like that makes me feel like I want football, even though it is Lions football. I'm excited for the Lions, but give it a little bit of time. It feels like it just ended.

Well, we do have a little bit of time. It's just the Hall of Fame game. Like you mentioned, not all of our starters will be playing, but it's the same time every year. I'm excited, man. Today will be the first Thursday that we'll have football, and it will continue until February. So lock in. Wow.

I don't think we'll have as good of a regular season as we had last year, but I think we'll go further in the playoffs, and hopefully what we all want is a Super Bowl.

all the uh these lately it's baseball players but there were a bunch of basketball players that were getting in trouble for this including a detroit pistons player guy that i thought the pistons were going to resign and it seemed like they were all set to until this story broke but Malik Beasley um there's allegations about him gambling on uh on games and then uh in baseball there's a ton of these baseball players for the Cleveland Indians that have actually two of them that got suspended but there's a couple that they're investigating that are betting on what is called prop bets like one of their pitchers that they just recently uh suspended the guy was betting on there was an excessive amount i guess of bets on him throwing a ball his first pitch and a lot of people saw it from one particular app that it was going through and then they went back and looked at the app and it was his number so he's betting on himself he was betting on himself he made it happen and the and and the pitch that he threw was so out of it was a wild pitch the first pitch that he won his bet on it was obvious yeah you're a dummy

And then I saw this story yesterday. Former NBA player Gilbert Arenas, they're saying right now, is in trouble. They say he was working with the mob on poker games.

The Israeli mob or something like that. But he bonded himself out. So he's out now. And he tweeted and said something like, that doesn't have anything to do with me. I just rented the house or something to that effect.

But he threw a Gilbert Arenas poker game. That was what it was called. It was a poker tournament.

I have dirty about him. Really? How many people throw poker games? You know what I mean?

It can't be that big of a deal.

Yeah, it's crazy. I can't believe how many, and this is something that's big with gambling. I cannot believe how many girls that I've had conversations with, women that I've had conversations with, that have been recently telling me that their relationships are struggling because their guy does nothing but gamble all the time.

That would drive me crazy, yeah.

like you can tell during the winter months it's probably harder because that's when football is back that's when basketball is yeah that's when all of the sports hockey and even baseball in late october all of the sports are back at one time and i've heard stories and seen situations where you can see people's moods change. Like, you know not to mess with a certain somebody if they're feeling a type of way on a Sunday afternoon because the parlay didn't hit.

I would not want to be in a relationship where that was the case. What up, Lainey? Hey, so it's not the same exact thing about relationships, but everybody at my certain job talking, like, every single person, we're all servers and just, well, everybody's on a break or outside smoking, they're all just gambling on FanDuel for sports. yes i was calling about the gambling problem so my husband i noticed he was being a little awkward and on his phone a lot more and a little more secretive and i had gotten a little bit of inheritance for my father and then um i went to go spend something one day and behold that my husband had gambled thousands and thousands of it really wow how much inheritance are we talking about it was a larger amount from some property that was sold from texas from where i'm from and you know i was saving because we were going to buy another house and that's what we had and then my kids needed something so i wanted to do it he gave me the runaround over and over about Oh, I put it here. I had to put it here. Had me looking crazy looking for it over and over and over. And then, you know, finally I was like, where is it at? And then I started thinking. He was like, then he tried to put it on me, and he was like, no, I gambled it. Oh, God.

Man.

And I was like, are you serious? And, I mean, we're talking about, like, you know, over thousands of dollars. In a small amount of serious.
