Picture a nurse in scrubs. Got it? Okay. Now picture a nurse in a windbreaker in boots. Those are scrubs too. Or a suit or a high-biz vest. Jeans and a tee. All scrubs. A nurse isn't what they wear, but how they care. The Florida Center for Nursing. Recognizing all our state's nurses.

Lydia, who answers the phones, told me that we're going to do a Naughty Moms Night Out winner coming up here in a second. But, Lydia, before we do that, come in here for a second because you said something before the show, you and KP, like, hey, you know, we should do this as an update. And it got me, like, very inquisitive, and I'm like, oh, my God, I wanted to do it right away. But I know that we sometimes will schedule things. But Lydia has an update on Gas Station Guy, you know, the guy that has basically been hanging out with Lydia, and they've been kind of dating back and forth and he owns a gas station.

00:02:25 - 00:02:29 | Speaker 1:

But no commitment. He's never wanted any commitment. Am I right in saying that? You're right.

00:02:30 - 00:02:33 | Speaker 7:

So what's the update on gas station guy?

00:02:33 - 00:02:34 | Speaker 2:

So gas station and guy.

00:02:35 - 00:02:37 | Speaker 7:

Gas station and guy. I like that.

00:02:38 - 00:03:17 | Speaker 2:

Sorry. Gas station guy and I have dated before in the past and we broke up back in August and we decided that we were just going to talk things through. And by talk things through, I mean like see each other still. But it was kind of open to the point where I think that, not that we were seeing other people, but it was open for the option to do so. And this past week, we decided that we were going to get back together. So, Gas Station Guy and I are now dating. Officially. Yeah. Yeah. We're back together now.

00:03:17 - 00:03:20 | Speaker 7:

Can I just, I'm not trying to be pessimistic on this.

00:03:20 - 00:03:21 | Speaker 2:

I want to hear all opinions.

00:03:21 - 00:03:44 | Speaker 7:

Can we have a waiting period on whether or not you say you're dating? Because you've kind of said before, we're seeing each other, and then a week later, no, we're not seeing each other. We're seeing each other, we're not seeing each other. I don't know if I am to believe this guy. Because he always seems like he's got cold feet. He's got like one toe in the water, but won't get in the water.

00:03:44 - 00:03:46 | Speaker 2:

This is true. But.

00:03:47 - 00:03:48 | Speaker 7:

He's got to get in the water.

00:03:48 - 00:03:50 | Speaker 5:

And I only know this because you and I talked about it

00:03:50 - 00:03:56 | Speaker 1:

He actually asked The question of Will you be my girlfriend

00:03:56 - 00:03:56 | Speaker 2:

Yes

00:03:56 - 00:04:00 | Speaker 1:

So it was like a very official step

00:04:00 - 00:04:02 | Speaker 7:

Has he ever done that before?

00:04:03 - 00:04:14 | Speaker 2:

No Actually even when we were quote unquote Dating before He didn't really ask It was just kind of assumed But we had the conversation of it This past week

00:04:14 - 00:04:19 | Speaker 7:

What led to this? What did you say to him that made him do this?

00:04:19 - 00:04:34 | Speaker 2:

I didn't really give him an ultimatum, but we had gotten into an argument, and it led into me saying, well, if we're not together, I don't know if something like this can continue to work because I can't be with somebody but not be with them, right?

00:04:35 - 00:04:35 | Speaker 7:

And so?

00:04:36 - 00:04:41 | Speaker 2:

So he decided to put his big boy pants on and make it official, but...

00:04:41 - 00:04:46 | Speaker 4:

Doesn't the hesitation, and again, I'm not trying to be a pessimist here, but doesn't

00:04:46 - 00:04:58 | Speaker 2:

the hesitation worry you a little bit oh for sure like i'm kind of scared and that's kind of why i wanted to open it up to you guys to give me your insight on what you think about that well i i'm

00:04:58 - 00:05:00 | Speaker 7:

i'm gonna say to the listeners i know

00:05:00 - 00:05:44 | Speaker 6:

you don't know Lydia particularly well yet. People got the chance to meet you last night for the first time. Lydia's awesome. She's been working with us here for some time at the radio station, but on the show for not a ton of time. But you hear this story, I guarantee you say to yourself, I've heard this story with friends or myself before, so if you want to comment, 844-MOJO-LIVE. I like this guy. I think he's a nice guy. I'm starting though to start not particularly like him and in he this hopefully is genuine and and this is true on his part because in the beginning and you know i i loved him i thought he was a really nice guy and then i keep hearing he's like in and out and in and out and i'm like going who that how is this guy

00:05:44 - 00:06:00 | Speaker 2:

it's like you know you got it wasn't even like he was in and out he just didn't want to put a label on it for a really long time and lydia did yeah and that leaves for open-ended well parties coming

00:06:00 - 00:06:12 | Speaker 1:

in it leave right then that's where i was like i can't do that like i can't have us have one foot in and one foot out and then what happens when either of us see other people and then it crashes

00:06:12 - 00:06:36 | Speaker 5:

and burns right yeah i actually think i because this feels like a like past mike some would have done something like this where you are dating but you don't want to put a label on it because you're also talking to other girls and seeing if that's going to be the same. But he put a label on it. Yeah, but it took this long to do it. Was he doing that the whole time and talking to other girls waiting to see what they were going to do? Okay, but I'm

00:06:36 - 00:06:43 | Speaker 2:

going to play devil's advocate here, so maybe he was and he got that out of his system and now he's realizing that he wants to be with Lydia.

00:06:44 - 00:06:48 | Speaker 6:

Is he, do you think he's talking anymore, people? I don't think

00:06:48 - 00:06:50 | Speaker 2:

so now. How do you

00:06:50 - 00:06:53 | Speaker 6:

know that he's not. I don't know. It's just like that. Just got to have trust.

00:06:53 - 00:06:57 | Speaker 2:

But that needs to be a conversation between you two, a very important one.

00:06:57 - 00:07:00 | Speaker 6:

Hold on. Mia wants to ask about something. What's that, Mia?

00:07:01 - 00:07:06 | Speaker 3:

What happened to KP's friend that was really into Lydia? Oh, yeah. Really, really nice, right?

00:07:07 - 00:07:19 | Speaker 6:

What happened to that good-looking guy? Maybe this is what happened to that good-looking guy. Huh? This was a move. This was to call. Maybe it was a jealousy thing when he found out about that and we

00:07:19 - 00:07:25 | Speaker 3:

just recently talked about it right mia yeah also if she's with um gas station guy can i have

00:07:25 - 00:07:34 | Speaker 6:

keep you friends he's a good looking guy yeah uh david what's going on hey mojo hey she needs

00:07:34 - 00:07:53 | Speaker 4:

she needs to take things slow yeah yeah i always did my advice with everything do not rush into the relationship you need to take things slow first and then build it up into the relationship at a later point. If he's already done this once, not to say he's going to do it another time again.

00:07:53 - 00:07:55 | Speaker 2:

But he's good.

00:07:57 - 00:07:58 | Speaker 4:

Yup.

00:07:58 - 00:07:58 | Speaker 6:

Yeah.

00:07:59 - 00:08:13 | Speaker 2:

But you know what? This guy's as slow as can be, by the way. Lydia has every bit of a right, obviously, to say this isn't for me anymore. We tried, and I'm done. Three strikes, and that's it.

00:08:14 - 00:08:15 | Speaker 6:

How many strikes are we on right now?

00:08:15 - 00:08:25 | Speaker 1:

This is his third. Oh, it is? If this doesn't work. I thought it, well, I thought this would be his second if it didn't work out. But we were, we've been on and off, I feel like, for years now.

00:08:25 - 00:08:26 | Speaker 2:

Okay.

00:08:26 - 00:08:38 | Speaker 1:

You know, and now it's hitting this point for me where I'm 25, and I want to get serious with somebody. Yeah. Yeah. Mike, why did you let that out of your system? Like, when did you realize?

00:08:40 - 00:08:50 | Speaker 6:

What's up, JD? When did I realize? Hold on, JD. Mike's going to tell. i'm sorry i was had the music so a lot i didn't hear you say no that's my go ahead mike i lost

00:08:50 - 00:09:13 | Speaker 5:

uh like a high school or no it was like a college girlfriend and i went through like a downward spiral of like i never thought i was gonna meet anybody like her again and this was you know i was gonna forever be alone and and um i was just a terrible human and then realized that i couldn't be that human anymore if i wanted to date somebody so i had to like literally hit in dating rock

00:09:13 - 00:09:27 | Speaker 6:

bottom to get to that point so did ally give you the i'm you know i need an answer from you or did any of her friends have a hot good looking guy that they were trying to set him up with um she

00:09:27 - 00:09:50 | Speaker 5:

was the first girl i started dating again when i like actually went out and started dating again and then we broke up for a minute and then i realized that like she was the best thing that had ever happened to me so we were separated for like a less less than a year and i realized like I couldn't live without her. Did you see her with other guys and that's what it was? I thought she was dating. I didn't physically see her with other guys, but I thought she was.

00:09:50 - 00:09:59 | Speaker 1:

That drives me nuts. That you need to see us with other people before you finally have to go, Oh, no, I think I went there too. I agree, Megan. Yeah.

00:09:59 - 00:10:00 | Speaker 6:

But it's human nature.

00:10:00 - 00:10:06 | Speaker 5:

isn't it we all love what other people have yeah but it doesn't like i find lydia's value to be

00:10:06 - 00:10:19 | Speaker 1:

higher than that like i think she's too much of a catch to have to have a guy realize that he's missing out on something to want her i gave her this whole pep talk last night sorry no it's it's

00:10:19 - 00:10:36 | Speaker 2:

very true it's very true i i think the difference here and why i told her you know you you i feel like you need to give this a chance and get it out of your system because it's still in your head that you want to be with him so give him this chance and if he blows it then you know you walk

00:10:36 - 00:10:44 | Speaker 5:

away for good jd says no hesitation is not good no it's not let me tell you the reason why all

00:10:44 - 00:11:33 | Speaker 6:

women i mean i'm not going to say all women i apologize but what i'm saying is a lot of women make this mistake guys fall in love faster i mean harder not faster but harder than women and if he's not if he's second guessing and all of that that means that he has other interests and you're by by leaving the situation completely will give him time to think about what he's missing or whether he truly wants it but as long as you stay in this on his terms then you're never really going to know you're always there's always going to be possibility that it could work out and could not work out but you're the one that's going to be the victim in the end you need to step away from the situation so that he can address himself and that you don't end up like having some damage because of the things that he's going through or

00:11:33 - 00:11:54 | Speaker 4:

what he's doing yeah and that's the thing that's what kind of what i was saying is i never put ally on because i feel like he put you on a hook like you're he's not letting you go but he's holding you there so that's why ally and i split and we both had to figure our stuff out we had to do some other things and we realized that there was no way we could be apart we are that we are 10 times better together we make each other better and that's when we came back together

00:11:54 - 00:12:09 | Speaker 8:

audra good morning good morning so i also have a gas station guy and i was driving and i had to pull over because i thought oh my god it's my gas station guy. A guy

00:12:09 - 00:12:13 | Speaker 5:

that acts like gas station guy or a guy that actually is a gas station guy?

00:12:14 - 00:12:22 | Speaker 8:

He's actually a gas station guy and he acts the same way. Noncommittal. He won't just wrap it up and say, okay, let's date.

00:12:22 - 00:12:30 | Speaker 3:

Now, Audra, can I ask a question? Is he Chaldean? He is not. Oh, thank God.

00:12:30 - 00:12:33 | Speaker 8:

I started to stop for a second. I'm like, oh, no.

00:12:34 - 00:12:37 | Speaker 5:

Where's his gas station? And that's the other thing we want to know.

00:12:38 - 00:12:39 | Speaker 8:

It's just North of Toledo.

00:12:39 - 00:12:46 | Speaker 5:

Oh, okay. All right. Thank God. Thank God. Well, thank God it's not the same guy, like literally. What's up, Ace?

00:12:47 - 00:13:19 | Speaker 7:

So I think from my experience, you don't have to convince a guy to commit to you. When a guy likes you and he's into you, he will tell you, right, because he don't want you in the field or playing the field or nothing like that. So, in my experience, when I want to be with someone, I let them know right away, hey, listen, what are we doing? Because I'm kind of feeling you, and I really don't want you thinking like you can play the field, or, you know, I would make it clear. I just think when a man wants a woman, he makes it clear. There's no misunderstanding about it. He lets you be known.

00:13:19 - 00:13:27 | Speaker 5:

Kind of like that color, couple colors. Can I ask a question real quick? What are you listening to? You're not listening to us. I can hear, like, music in the background.

00:13:28 - 00:13:35 | Speaker 7:

So I'm at work, and they play, I don't know what station this is over the PA, but I listen to my earbuds at work.

00:13:35 - 00:13:42 | Speaker 5:

Okay, so it sounds to me like I thought I was listening to, like, a little bit of The Fray or something like that, or Goo Goo Dolls.

00:13:42 - 00:13:48 | Speaker 7:

I love The Fray. No, it's like a rock station, I think.

00:13:48 - 00:13:50 | Speaker 5:

Oh, okay. All right, go ahead. What were you going to ask?

00:13:50 - 00:14:37 | Speaker 2:

Well, I just, I think I saw this on TikTok. I don't even know where I saw it, But this girl was giving this whole like pep talk about timing and how and I'm wondering if this is the issue here of like sometimes we meet people in our life in the time. Like they might be the absolute perfect person for you, but the timing is off. And she specifically was talking about how guys reach this point in their lives, whether it be late 20s, early 30s, where they're like, OK, I am ready to settle down right now. And the girl that they may be dating is the girl they get engaged to. but that might not be their soulmate or the love of their life it's all about the timing and so part of me thinks back to that video and that conversation and I'm wondering if something snapped in him and he's like okay I'm ready and I want to do it with her I don't know I think it

00:14:37 - 00:14:52 | Speaker 3:

had to do with an argument that argument that we had about having outside people in what wasn't our relationship but now is if that makes a bit more of sense no

00:14:52 - 00:15:00 | Speaker 5:

i'm regretting the idea of picking her up because

00:15:00 - 00:15:03 | Speaker 2:

I only can let her talk for a minute Because I'm running really late

00:15:03 - 00:15:06 | Speaker 3:

Tell her she's got a very short and sweet

00:15:06 - 00:15:11 | Speaker 2:

Do I pick up Mojo in the morning Misfit Michelle the crazy Italian

00:15:11 - 00:15:13 | Speaker 3:

Hello I love you all

00:15:13 - 00:15:17 | Speaker 2:

I only have one minute though I told you

00:15:17 - 00:16:04 | Speaker 3:

Don't ask me any advice I agree with Mike And I agree with Shannon And I also agree with Mojo Lydia you are a fantastic woman That man should know by now After the time you've spent on and off On and off Whether he wants to be with you He better commit to something Or you walk away You don't wait You want to have a relationship You want to be married You want to move on with family You know who you are Your true self If that man does not realize what he has That's on him You need to lay down some rules But wait for him to decide Music's going to start to play. Music's going to start to play the orchestra. Thank you, Michelle. Okay, bye. Love you. Love you. Love you so much.

00:16:04 - 00:16:10 | Speaker 2:

That was unbelievable, Michelle. Michelle, it was so great to see you last night, too. Oh, she hung up?

00:16:12 - 00:16:40 | Speaker 1:
