00:02:57 - 00:04:47 | Speaker 3:

hard time ever since uh my new favorite obsession has come out and that's tiktok because i'm constantly reminded that nothing is ever original in my life whether that is a thought or an experience or really just anything and honestly um i feel like i've been getting that a lot lately i even watched this week uh are you there god it's me margaret the movie that just came out it's okay it is so good 10 out of 10 would recommend for everybody i feel like every pre-teen girl needs to watch this movie like but as i was watching it i was like oh my god every girl does this every girl did that wasn't just me we all did that okay so we all did that so i've been having these experiences lately that are just like nope everybody and i i was worried to bring this up with the girls here on the show but i did this morning because i came across a trend on tiktok called uh what is your girl dinner now this means apparently when girls are alone we don't cook for ourselves we make like almost a charcuterie board of snacks that we call a meal and every girl has their own combination of weird snacks that they justify as a meal and i thought again this was just me but apparently not ladies nope this is so accurate i i'm shaking but i think my favorite part of this trend was although we all come up with our own uh girl dinner no two are alike so even though we all do the snacks for dinner we don't all do the same snack give us an example what as a guy i don't know horrific combination because I started going through the comments and I realized I might have the grossest combination because my go-to girl dinner is potstickers and pickles. Oh, that actually sounds good.

00:04:47 - 00:04:48 | Speaker 6:

What is it?

00:04:48 - 00:04:49 | Speaker 3:

Potstickers and pickles.

00:04:49 - 00:04:50 | Speaker 6:

What's potstickers?

00:04:51 - 00:04:51 | Speaker 3:

What?

00:04:52 - 00:04:55 | Speaker 6:

I'm not here. What's a potstickers? To the Googles.

00:04:56 - 00:05:00 | Speaker 3:

It's like a dumpling, like an Asian dumpling. You can either get them steamed. Or you can get it on the side.

00:05:00 - 00:05:01 | Speaker 4:

A pierogi. So good.

00:05:02 - 00:05:04 | Speaker 3:

Sometimes they're made with pork. Sometimes they're veggie.

00:05:04 - 00:05:05 | Speaker 4:

It's an Asian pierogi.

00:05:06 - 00:05:07 | Unknown:

So good.

00:05:07 - 00:05:35 | Speaker 3:

Yeah. Okay, so you want to know what I had for dinner literally last night? Yes, please. Okay, so I had Ritz crackers, strawberries with that pink yogurt-y fruit dip. Do you know what I'm talking about that you can get at the grocery store? And a Costco fruit veggie pouch that was the orange one. So I think it was carrot orange, mango or something. That is what I had for dinner. And then I took the kids to get ice cream, so I got a root beer float. That was my dinner. Wow.

00:05:35 - 00:05:38 | Speaker 5:

I will open up a can of peaches and eat that for dinner.

00:05:38 - 00:05:39 | Speaker 3:

A can of peaches.

00:05:39 - 00:05:42 | Speaker 4:

You know what Mike, Kav, and I call this? We call this our snacks.

00:05:43 - 00:05:43 | Unknown:

Yeah.

00:05:44 - 00:05:46 | Speaker 4:

These are not our guy dinners or girl dinners.

00:05:46 - 00:06:01 | Speaker 3:

But, Megan, do you actually, so what I do when I typically do a dinner like this is I use one of the kids' plastic, like, pre-portioned plates. Yes. So I make it look fancy on one of their little Target teal blue plates.

00:06:01 - 00:06:05 | Speaker 5:

I had a can of peas, some blueberries, and some cheese. It was really good.

00:06:06 - 00:06:07 | Speaker 7:

How do you feel full?

00:06:07 - 00:06:08 | Speaker 5:

You can't feel full.

00:06:08 - 00:06:12 | Speaker 7:

Why do you do that? I don't know. I felt full. Really? Yeah.

00:06:12 - 00:06:14 | Speaker 4:

Is this how charcuterie boards started?

00:06:14 - 00:06:15 | Speaker 7:

It might be.

00:06:15 - 00:06:30 | Speaker 4:

I don't know. By the way, I'm over charcuterie boards. And any time that people will have a charcuterie board party where that's all they serve is that, I like DoorDash to their house food Like I'm like okay where's the closest Little Caesars we're gonna get ourselves

00:06:30 - 00:06:36 | Speaker 3:

See I could eat a charcuterie board as my dinner Like that could thousand percent I could just keep going

00:06:36 - 00:06:38 | Speaker 1:

Give me some olives and I'm set for life

00:06:38 - 00:06:39 | Speaker 3:

I'm good

00:06:39 - 00:06:50 | Speaker 1:

Before I moved in with my boyfriend I used to have pickle dinner It was just a bunch of different types of pickles I miss pickle dinner Girl you don't gotta miss pickle dinner I have the best spot and we are going tonight

00:06:50 - 00:06:53 | Speaker 4:

Wow She's going out for her pickle dinner.

00:06:53 - 00:07:04 | Speaker 2:

I'm not mad at this. This reminds me of back in the day when I used to have the munchies. And you just run in the house and like, okay, there are the chips. There's the Pop-Tart. There's the pickles. And you just eat whatever's in front of you, and there you go.

00:07:05 - 00:07:09 | Speaker 4:

We just don't call it our dinner. We just call it the munchies. What's going on, Michelle? How you doing?

00:07:10 - 00:07:11 | Speaker 7:

I'm good. How are you?

00:07:11 - 00:07:13 | Speaker 4:

Good. What did you have for your girl dinner?

00:07:14 - 00:07:22 | Speaker 7:

So, like, my husband works out of town all the time. and when he goes, I get excited because I get to have French onion dip and ball rick chips for dinner.

00:07:22 - 00:07:23 | Speaker 3:

Oh, that is the best.

00:07:23 - 00:07:38 | Speaker 4:

By the way, we don't call it French onion dip in our house. We call it FOD just because we don't want people to judge us. Whenever we say we had FOD last night, people all go, oh, wow, I want to try that. They think it's some kind of like a fancy cheese. And they get the pot sticker.

00:07:38 - 00:07:42 | Speaker 5:

Yeah, and I love that she has to wait for her husband to leave to eat that.

00:07:45 - 00:07:47 | Speaker 4:

Ann Marie, what's going on? It's Mojo in the morning.

00:07:47 - 00:08:02 | Speaker 6:

Good morning. I just want to tell you that one of my favorite things is cottage cheese with jalapenos. Then I scoop it up with saltine crackers. Oh, okay. I'm into jalapenos, so I put them in everything. Okay. People laugh, but it's really good.

00:08:02 - 00:08:05 | Speaker 3:

Go to Costco. You can get the Ritz ones, though, in the big, big box.

00:08:06 - 00:08:13 | Speaker 4:

What's your favorite cottage cheese? Because I like the cottage cheese that's, like, really, you know, like not creamy. I don't like it creamy.

00:08:13 - 00:08:14 | Speaker 6:

I think there's a Michigan one.

00:08:14 - 00:08:15 | Speaker 4:

Which Michigan one?

00:08:16 - 00:08:22 | Speaker 6:

Yeah, I think it's just called Michigan, made in Michigan. I don't know. I get it at Kroger's.

00:08:22 - 00:08:23 | Speaker 4:

Yeah.

00:08:23 - 00:08:24 | Speaker 6:

But, yeah, I really like it.

00:08:24 - 00:08:27 | Speaker 4:

It's sick. She gets it at Kroger's. I love you.

00:08:27 - 00:08:33 | Speaker 6:

Hey, Mojo, I want to do a shout-out to a girl I met this weekend. Her name is Colette, and I'm at her in Sargatop, and she knows your family.

00:08:33 - 00:08:51 | Speaker 4:

Oh, my God. You know who that is? It's funny. I talked about her. On the air, I talked about my brother Tony and how he was flirting with my sister's best friend, and I said, Colette Monteleone? Colette Monteleone lives in Saga Talk and was listening to the show, or somebody told her about the show.

00:08:51 - 00:09:01 | Speaker 6:

Yes, I did. It was me, because she was asking me about a good radio station. I go, well, you're new to Grand Rapids, and I know I don't hurt radio with Mike, because, you know, to get a good... Yeah, what are the odds?

00:09:01 - 00:09:07 | Speaker 4:

Is that, like, the weirdest thing ever? That was just, like, a week or so ago that I brought that up. Thanks, Anne-Marie. What's up, Laura?

00:09:08 - 00:09:09 | Speaker 5:

Hey, good morning.

00:09:09 - 00:09:10 | Speaker 4:

Good morning. What's going on?

00:09:11 - 00:09:14 | Speaker 5:

Hey, chips and cheese. That's it for me.

00:09:14 - 00:09:15 | Speaker 4:

Chips and cheese.

00:09:15 - 00:09:18 | Speaker 5:

But like nachos in the microwave? It is. Yeah.

00:09:18 - 00:09:19 | Speaker 4:

I love it.

00:09:19 - 00:09:25 | Speaker 5:

Right? Don't put any effort into it. Just throw the cheese on there, put it in for a couple seconds. There you go.

00:09:25 - 00:09:31 | Speaker 4:

And if you haven't ever tried Ann Arbor chips, you've got to get them. They're the most delicious. They're like restaurant-quality chips, you know?

00:09:32 - 00:09:37 | Speaker 5:

Awesome. I like the lime one, the ones with the hint of lime. Hint of lime. Oh, my God. Crack. They got it.

00:09:38 - 00:09:40 | Speaker 4:

They haven't. What's up, Alyssa?

00:09:41 - 00:09:42 | Speaker 6:

Oh, man.

00:09:42 - 00:09:59 | Speaker 4:

We're doing more. Hold on. Hold on. morris code wait real quick don't say anything hold on sos oh hold on somebody's on the line here this is coming from uh this is coming from russia there's a person that is in russia right now needing our help what's going on oh no oh no i don't know why

00:10:00 - 00:10:15 | Speaker 1:

The line is so weird, but my girl dinner is anything left in the freezer, like little bits and pieces of, like, frozen chicken nuggets, frozen french fries. That's, like, not enough for the kids for a meal, but toss it all in the air fryer.

00:10:15 - 00:10:16 | Speaker 3:

There you go. Why is it?

00:10:16 - 00:10:17 | Speaker 1:

I always think this.

00:10:18 - 00:10:34 | Speaker 3:

Chelsea gets mad at me for this, but why does she get mad when I only throw, like, three pizza rolls back in the box and throw it into the freezer? She's like, why didn't you just make the remaining three? Yeah. That's like leaving a swallow in an orange juice container. What are you doing? It's just got to down it, right? What's up, Stacey?

00:10:36 - 00:10:40 | Speaker 1:

I like to have grapes, popcorn, and string cheese.

00:10:41 - 00:10:47 | Speaker 2:

Honestly, string cheese is so underrated. It's so good. I love it.

00:10:47 - 00:11:12 | Speaker 3:

By the way, those things are just, it's nice to have those kind of foods. That's something that when I was dieting or trying to diet, I would go to the Imagine Theater and I would sneak those in my pocket to try to bring in instead of trying to eat the popcorn. I would bring, like, grapes or string cheese and things like that. It's just not the same at the movies, though. Yeah, no, you've got to have that big thing of popcorn and some candy. Yeah. Thank you for the call. I appreciate it.

00:11:12 - 00:11:13 | Speaker 1:

Love you guys.

00:11:13 - 00:11:20 | Speaker 3:

Love you. Hey, if you do this for dinner, why can't we do it for breakfast? Why can't we just go into our refrigerator right now and find whatever stuff is in there?

00:11:20 - 00:11:22 | Speaker 2:

We don't have anything good in there right now. I'm sure.

00:11:22 - 00:11:42 | Speaker 3:

We got, like, if you go into our office, you got, like, I don't know, protein bars from, it seems like, five years ago. And then in the refrigerator, expired cottage cheese from when Reese bought it for me for my birthday. And then a piece of fruit that used to look like an apple, now looks like an orange.
