This is Julian Edelman from Games with Names. You know how it is during big games. There's so much prep, detail, and the little things people don't see. The small stuff around you matters more than you think. That's why I keep my food dialed in with Domino's. Best deal ever. Any pizza, any toppings for $9.99. Now including Parmesan stuffed crust, pepperoni, sausage, jalapenos, and even bacon. That reliable vet that plays well with anyone. Personally, I like to keep it simple. The good old pepperoni pizza.

Here's the topic. 844 Mojo Live. Has anybody's grandparent ever been the person that introduced them to their significant other or to somebody to date? Has grandma ever been that person? I remember when Shani's granny was around. I remember Shani's granny was always kind of like the one that she always would, you know, that's my granddaughter Shannon. Or she'd call you Shan.

00:02:34 - 00:02:36 | Speaker 6:

Hey, Shan, it's Graham.

00:02:38 - 00:03:17 | Speaker 5:

It would be, I think that, by the way, I think this guy, I think Jonathan's, he is like a legend. You're a legend in my eyes. Incredible guy. Because anybody could be really good to their grandma. you know you should be but bringing her to a party full of a bunch of hot girls might be the most legendary thing that i've ever seen in my life i think that was wonderful what a great thing hold on your grandma's on the phone with us right now how you doing uh hi grandma hi how you doing how are you did you have fun at the party oh i had a great time wasn't that so much fun seeing everybody dancing and doing crazy stuff including you you were crazy on the dance floor Weren't you?

00:03:18 - 00:03:20 | Speaker 6:

Yeah. I had a great cap. I loved all the costumes.

00:03:21 - 00:03:22 | Speaker 5:

They were great. Which one was your favorite?

00:03:24 - 00:03:25 | Speaker 6:

Let's see.

00:03:25 - 00:03:26 | Speaker 5:

Say Lord Farquaad.

00:03:27 - 00:03:43 | Speaker 6:

Well, Lord Farquaad was good. Lord Farquaad was good. Yeah. The tall guy with the six eyes. Oh, that was crazy. That was good. Oh, he was on stilts. Yeah. Yeah, he was. He was.

00:03:43 - 00:03:47 | Speaker 5:

That costume seemed like it would be annoying trying to get in and out of the tent.

00:03:47 - 00:03:50 | Speaker 6:

I actually thought he was part of the Eloise crew.

00:03:50 - 00:03:50 | Speaker 5:

Yeah.

00:03:51 - 00:03:54 | Speaker 6:

He was? He was. No. I thought he was a listener.

00:03:55 - 00:03:56 | Speaker 5:

I think he was. That came with the costume.

00:03:57 - 00:03:58 | Speaker 6:

The clown was not the Eloise crew.

00:03:59 - 00:04:00 | Speaker 5:

Yeah. The clown was.

00:04:00 - 00:04:02 | Speaker 6:

But he's a listener too. He's both.

00:04:02 - 00:04:02 | Speaker 5:

Yeah.

00:04:02 - 00:04:03 | Speaker 6:

Yeah. He was there for the party.

00:04:03 - 00:04:08 | Speaker 5:

How about the lady who was petting her doll the entire time too? That was a little scary.

00:04:08 - 00:04:16 | Speaker 3:

Every time she came, did you see her? She had the stuffed animal in her mouth? did one eye out the other. Oh, my God. She freaked me out.

00:04:17 - 00:04:34 | Speaker 5:

Hold on. We got some people here that we're talking right now, Granny, about how you're perfect for setting Jonathan up with somebody. Like, Jonathan's going to find his true love because of you as your wing woman, the wing Granny. Liz, are you there? Hi, Liz. What's going on?

I want to hear some people's stories about this. Texter 734 says, Every time I take my grandma to church, she's always trying to introduce me to somebody. Is that not a grandma's thing to do, right?

00:05:23 - 00:05:31 | Speaker 3:

Hallelujah! It is, it is, because grandma wants to make sure babies are happy.

00:05:31 - 00:05:47 | Speaker 1:

That's it, right? You want to make sure it's a nice person that's getting set up. What are you looking for? What do you want Jonathan to be with? Granny? Grandma? Oh no, something's happening. Do I have to say that?

00:05:48 - 00:05:49 | Speaker 3:

We have bad service at home.

00:05:51 - 00:05:52 | Speaker 1:

Grandma, are you there?

00:05:53 - 00:05:54 | Speaker 3:

Yes, Grandma's here.

00:05:54 - 00:06:02 | Speaker 1:

Okay, Grandma, there's certain rooms you can't walk into. One of them is the front room there in the house. You can't walk in. You've got bad cell service

00:06:02 - 00:06:06 | Speaker 2:

in that room. No, you're not wrong about that one. You can't walk in towards the front.

00:06:07 - 00:06:20 | Speaker 1:

Hey, Grandma, out of all the ladies of the show, we got Megan and Shannon and KP, Lydia. Obviously, Shannon's taken. You cannot take Shannon unless Wes is okay with that. Would Wes be okay with Grandma

00:06:20 - 00:06:22 | Speaker 2:

doing it? He's not going to be happy

00:06:22 - 00:06:30 | Speaker 1:

with that? No. Although for Granny, maybe Granny can talk to him. Which one of the girls on the show would you like to see Jonathan with?

00:06:33 - 00:06:36 | Speaker 3:

Let's see. Megan's taken, so let's see.

00:06:36 - 00:06:38 | Speaker 1:

No, Shannon is. Megan's free.

00:06:39 - 00:06:43 | Speaker 3:

Yeah. Megan was the Red Devil. Lydia was Sexy, salty.

00:06:44 - 00:06:48 | Speaker 1:

Yeah. And KP was Dan Campbell. Yeah.

00:06:48 - 00:06:49 | Speaker 3:

Let's go.

00:06:50 - 00:06:52 | Speaker 1:

KP. KP. I love

00:06:52 - 00:06:54 | Speaker 3:

this KP. I was just like a guy.

00:06:54 - 00:06:55 | Speaker 1:

No, that was good.

00:06:56 - 00:06:59 | Speaker 3:

That's good. That's good. That's good. All right, I like it.

00:07:00 - 00:07:06 | Speaker 1:

She needs some extra help around us. Hold on. David, what's going on, David? How are you? It's Mojo in the morning.

00:07:08 - 00:07:09 | Speaker 2:

Hi, how are you?

00:07:09 - 00:07:11 | Speaker 1:

Good, David. David, your grandma hooked you up?

00:07:13 - 00:07:53 | Speaker 2:

Pretty much. I grew up in Kenya since I was five, and then I moved here when I was 19. And I grew up with my grandmother. And I think I was 18, and I met my first girlfriend through my grandmother. It was funny because it felt like I was getting arranged, like an arranged thing. Yeah. And I got confused, but after a while back, after a while, I ended up finding out that she was just setting me up. She was not arranging anything. God rest her soul, she passed two years ago. But it's one of the few things I remember about her.

00:07:53 - 00:08:01 | Speaker 1:

I think that's awesome, though, that she did that. She was trying to hook you up. But it does feel like it's almost a little bit of an arranged marriage.

00:08:02 - 00:08:24 | Speaker 2:

Yeah, especially growing up in the culture that I grew up with, a lot of that happens. But I'm glad that that wasn't the case. But I'm also happy that she thought that, you know, like she would find someone good for me. But, yeah, it's one of the few things I remember about her. one of the many things, sorry, not the few, one of the many things that I remember about her, but that's one of the big

00:08:24 - 00:08:29 | Speaker 1:

ones. Thank you for the call, buddy. I appreciate it. Chloe, hi. Grandma got me the goods.

00:08:30 - 00:08:31 | Speaker 3:

Yeah, Grandma got me the goods.

00:08:32 - 00:08:33 | Speaker 1:

What happened?

00:08:34 - 00:08:48 | Speaker 3:

Well, I was young, and I didn't have a driver's license, and Grandma said she'd take me, so she took me, and it wasn't an hour later, and I called her and wanted to go home. Wait, took you where? To his house.

00:08:49 - 00:08:53 | Speaker 1:

Wait, did she wait for you guys or did she drop you off and then come back and pick you up later?

00:08:54 - 00:08:58 | Speaker 3:

She dropped me off and came back, picked me up later when I called her.

00:08:58 - 00:08:59 | Speaker 1:

Oh, my God.

00:08:59 - 00:09:10 | Speaker 3:

Did she know what was going on or did she think you were just going over there for dinner? Oh, no. She definitely knew. It was during the day. It was just, she picked me up and she said, what are you doing?

00:09:12 - 00:09:27 | Speaker 1:

Usually grandma's the one baking cookies. There you go. And when she said, when she dropped you off and you left the car, did she scream out like words of encouragement? Did she say you as protection?

00:09:28 - 00:09:32 | Speaker 3:

No, she was pretty quiet until she picked me up.

00:09:32 - 00:09:34 | Speaker 1:

And then what did she say to you when you were in the car driving home?

00:09:35 - 00:09:41 | Speaker 3:

She was not impressed that she had to come right back. Oh my gosh.

00:09:42 - 00:09:58 | Speaker 1:

He wasn't very long. She wanted to finish our story. Could you imagine if grandma had like packed her a little bag with like rubbers in it? Rubbers. I love it. Mouth to wash. Janelle, what's going on? Grandma got me the goodies.

00:10:00 - 00:10:06 | Speaker 4:

Hey, and first off, I was at the Halloween party, and I was the giant inflatable owl. Yeah, I love that.

00:10:06 - 00:10:08 | Speaker 6:

That was a great costume.

00:10:09 - 00:10:09 | Speaker 4:

Yes.

00:10:09 - 00:10:10 | Speaker 3:

That's awesome.

00:10:10 - 00:10:20 | Speaker 4:

Thanks. But my grandma, she got me the good. She is trying to pay my boyfriend to tell her when he's going to propose to me.

00:10:20 - 00:10:29 | Speaker 6:

00:10:29 - 00:10:53 | Speaker 4:

00:10:53 - 00:10:58 | Speaker 6:

00:10:58 - 00:11:01 | Speaker 3:

I think that's what she was saying. Wasn't she the cutest?

00:11:02 - 00:11:02 | Speaker 6:

Seriously.

00:11:02 - 00:11:04 | Speaker 3:

She was adorable. I'm telling her.

00:11:04 - 00:11:17 | Speaker 6:
