Uh, it's Mojo in the morning. Uh, phone number 844 Mojo live. The text is nine five five zero zero. Can adult man pays his taxes, father, three husband for a long time. Can he be grounded? Like can, can a adult do I yesterday didn't do anything, literally didn't do anything. So yesterday I was told by my wife, and this is where, you know, I wish I was a little cooler. Like, I wish I was one of those guys that called her my old lady. Like, I've always wanted to be one of those guys that could say, yeah, it's my old lady over there, you know? But I'm not that. Chelsea would not let me leave the house yesterday. So Chelsea kept saying to me, you're not going outside of the house. And I would say to her, why can't I not go out? I had stuff I wanted to do, errands I wanted to run, and she's like, it is dangerous smoky outside. We're at a level 589 or whatever the hell the thing was. And so she was giving me grief about the fact that I had to stay in the house. First of all, I had to stay in the house. I had to put an air purifier in the room.

00:02:45 - 00:02:45 | Speaker 7:

Smart.

00:02:45 - 00:03:08 | Speaker 3:

So we had an air purifier, and she told me, and it was kind of funny because I didn't necessarily, I thought to myself, I'm like, God, I feel like a teenager. like when the boys would get grounded and they had to stay in their room. That's what I felt like. And then I realized, you know what this was? This wasn't her grounding me. This was kind of Chelsea in some way, shape or form putting me on house arrest. Like I felt like.

00:03:09 - 00:03:17 | Speaker 7:

This is also called Chelsea loving you because she knows you have a heart issue and a few other things going on. And you probably shouldn't have been outside. Anyway.

00:03:18 - 00:03:18 | Speaker 3:

I know my.

00:03:18 - 00:03:21 | Speaker 6:

A bum by their head, a bad knee. Dick.

00:03:21 - 00:03:22 | Speaker 3:

All the things.

00:03:22 - 00:03:23 | Speaker 7:

You know? Dick.

00:03:23 - 00:03:56 | Speaker 3:

um no i i think that uh here's the here's the thing chel so and has there any been and i'll throw this out there lydia we probably won't even get any calls on this one this topic so don't feel bad we'll do like a podcast or something but the reason why i say we probably won't get any calls i don't believe that there's any person that does this to their spouse other than chelsea does like the fact that she's like you can't go out i don't want you to do this thing I'm like Chelsea I'm 56 years old I'm old man I'm literally old

00:03:56 - 00:03:58 | Speaker 6:

I'm with Chelsea

00:03:58 - 00:04:02 | Speaker 3:

but I'm not old enough where I'm going to die you know what I mean

00:04:02 - 00:04:08 | Speaker 6:

I just read a stat that if you spent the majority of the day outside yesterday it was like smoking 10 cigarettes

00:04:08 - 00:04:10 | Speaker 3:

I was outside all day

00:04:10 - 00:04:11 | Speaker 6:

you smoked a pack

00:04:11 - 00:04:13 | Speaker 3:

how much are in a pack

00:04:13 - 00:04:23 | Speaker 6:

how many cigs are in a pack 10, 12, 20 I don't know I'm not a smoker but 10 seems like a lot of cigarettes. Where do you keep the cigarettes?

00:04:24 - 00:05:25 | Speaker 3:

About 20 in a standard pack. So it's a half a pack of smokes. But here's the thing. I know that it's bad. Listen, it smelled bad. I didn't want to be outside smelling, but I at least wanted to go and run errands. I wanted to, you know, we get done with the show. For those that don't know this, we get done with the show. We can get out of the studio either at one o'clock, two o'clock, sometimes three o'clock for me, early in the week. But usually my midweek and end of the week, I can get out of here if I wanted to by 1130 at the latest. Do you know how much fun happens at 1130? 11 30 in the morning just open 30 but it's only it's only two days you know what i mean and i'm like anna said i'm with like shannon i feel the same way i'm we all with chelsea on this it's not that you were arrested relegated and confined to your abode it was let me look out for my man stay your ass at home let the dust settle and clear out and then come on let's be

00:05:25 - 00:05:36 | Speaker 5:

real by the way yeah you love when things get canceled and you can just hang out so now you're you're whining and complaining about it and this is like your dream day i don't want to be told

00:05:36 - 00:05:56 | Speaker 4:

that i can't do anything i want to be you know what i mean i want to do it on my own and i was going to go see you at olga's so i was going to go i was going to go to olga's you say like they do an old country i was going to go to olga's uh and then i was going to go to uh somerset and i I was going to go to the Apple store because I want to get a screen protector for my phone.

00:05:57 - 00:05:58 | Speaker 3:

Get it on Amazon.

00:05:58 - 00:06:01 | Speaker 4:

No, they put it on for you. They do it in a machine. It's fantastic.

00:06:01 - 00:06:03 | Speaker 3:

I'll put it on for you if you order it.

00:06:03 - 00:06:04 | Speaker 4:

Yeah. Yeah, the Belkin.

00:06:04 - 00:06:07 | Speaker 3:

Get your red coat, grab your remote, and watch some TV.

00:06:07 - 00:06:10 | Speaker 4:

Hey, Sean, I was grounded yesterday. What's going on?

00:06:11 - 00:06:16 | Speaker 1:

Yes, sir. Good morning, guys. Long-time listener. Hey. First-time caller?

00:06:16 - 00:06:17 | Speaker 4:

Are you a first-time caller?

00:06:17 - 00:06:21 | Speaker 1:

Oh, no. Oh, no, no. Many-time caller. Welcome back, Sean.

00:06:21 - 00:06:21 | Speaker 4:

What's up, Sean?

00:06:22 - 00:06:28 | Speaker 1:

Oh, my wife does the same thing. It's too smoky out. You've had three heart attacks. You need to keep your foot at home.

00:06:28 - 00:06:33 | Speaker 5:

She might be right. I mean, oh, darn. She loves you so much and wants you to live.

00:06:34 - 00:06:48 | Speaker 4:

Yeah, but I still have to work to pay the bills. How old are you, Sean, that you've had three heart attacks? 55. Oh, man. Oh, my God. That's a young guy. How old were you when you had your first heart attack?

00:06:51 - 00:07:01 | Speaker 1:

I'm 49, and then I had one at 51, which almost killed me. And then about four months ago.

00:07:03 - 00:07:12 | Speaker 4:

You take care. Be careful, buddy. Seriously. Oh, absolutely. You too, guys. Take care, man. I appreciate it. My dog got three heart attacks. Like, I want to go outside.

00:07:13 - 00:07:15 | Speaker 3:

No, stay where I say home.

00:07:15 - 00:07:17 | Speaker 4:

What's up, Jody? Hi, it's Mojo in the Morning.

00:07:17 - 00:07:18 | Speaker 3:

Get a smoothie.

00:07:18 - 00:07:56 | Speaker 2:

Hi, good morning. First time, long time. Hey, hey, so my husband owns a construction company, and he leaves, well, especially this past couple weeks, he leaves at 5 a.m., and I woke up yesterday morning at 6, turned on the news, drinking my coffee, and noticed that, what, the air quality was like 800. I called him, and I said, honey, did you notice outside? And he goes, yeah, it's really smoky. And I go, yeah, and the air quality is going to kill you and all these guys. You guys need to call the day. And he was home by 7 a.m.

00:07:56 - 00:08:00 | Speaker 4:

Oh, man. He listens to his lady.

00:08:01 - 00:08:04 | Speaker 2:

He's a good boy, that's for sure. He's a good boy.

00:08:04 - 00:08:08 | Speaker 4:

You're a good boy. What did he do all day? What did you guys do all day?

00:08:08 - 00:08:20 | Speaker 2:

um well you know we own our own business so there's never any way to stop so yeah he just did some paperwork and invoices and all that fun stuff so he was productive all right that's for

00:08:20 - 00:08:29 | Speaker 4:

sure tell the good boy be careful okay you too stay inside thank you i appreciate it uh hold on

00:08:29 - 00:09:03 | Speaker 1:

joe what's up joe hey how's it going it's first time hey joe good morning no i was responding to uh you know your comment on that uh no the wife called me after i got to work um i work kind of more or less in a automotive industry so garage whatnot uh doors are open she called me making sure i had my mask and everything on and made sure that uh i wasn't going after work to go get their groceries but made sure i had to get home and uh make sure the dinner was on the stove yeah

00:09:03 - 00:09:14 | Speaker 4:

there is something nice to know that they love you and they don't want just collect your life insurance policy but there is a bit there is a bit of it where i'm a grown-ass man i can make

00:09:14 - 00:09:25 | Speaker 1:

decisions on my own you know what i mean yeah which is funny about that because we looked in the life insurance policies yesterday for the first time it's kind of weird wow what is that

00:09:25 - 00:09:52 | Speaker 4:

one commercial i always see that one commercial on tv with the uh with the guy with the beard is always like i was like you can get a life insurance policy for anyone you know what i mean or hey honey i just uh i just bought a life insurance policy and she goes we don't even have money to feed the family what are you talking about have you seen that commercial it's like she's like we don't even have money and he's like well that's what i'm working for I want to make sure.

00:09:53 - 00:09:58 | Speaker 5:

I love that he's actually watching commercials, too. He knows them verbatim.

00:10:00 - 00:10:01 | Speaker 9:

What's up, Debra? How you doing?

00:10:02 - 00:10:05 | Speaker 7:

I'm good. How are you guys doing? Good.

00:10:05 - 00:10:07 | Speaker 9:

Doing okay. I'm a little bored. I was home all day yesterday.

00:10:09 - 00:10:19 | Speaker 7:

Well, hey, guys. I want to let you know, I was at St. Joe's in Ann Arbor yesterday, and people were coming in, and they actually had ashes on them, and I am not saying this is no joke.

00:10:19 - 00:10:19 | Speaker 10:

Wow.

00:10:20 - 00:10:36 | Speaker 7:

So, please stay home, because it was really scary, and people were coming in with masks on and using their inhalers. So, if you can tell, my voice is killing me. So, please. Yeah. Tell your wife that you're a great deal.

00:10:36 - 00:10:37 | Speaker 9:

That's crazy.

00:10:37 - 00:10:44 | Speaker 5:

Did you guys actually see any photos or videos of the fires burning in Ontario? Yeah. It's really sad. I mean, it's sad. It looks apocalyptic. Yeah.

00:10:45 - 00:10:49 | Speaker 9:

Why do they not have big old planes with water dumping on these things?

00:10:49 - 00:10:51 | Speaker 5:

I mean, I don't know if they do or don't.

00:10:51 - 00:10:57 | Speaker 9:

I mean, Canada's got enough water. They can grab water out of their, you know, lakes and stuff.

00:10:57 - 00:10:59 | Speaker 10:

You can't fight God, bro.

00:10:59 - 00:11:25 | Speaker 5:

You know what yesterday reminded me of? Because I was out at Olga's and they had us like outside in a tent. So I was just like kind of surveying the parking lot of, it was in like a really busy plaza in Troy, like, you know, Rochester Road and Big Beaver. If you live around there, there's like a ton of stuff. It reminded me of the start of COVID. It was just this eerie, unsettling, quiet around. Like I feel like, and people were coming up wearing masks. It was just so weird. Masks?

00:11:26 - 00:11:26 | Speaker 10:

Yeah, from our promo team.

00:11:26 - 00:11:47 | Speaker 9:

Oh, I think so. Here's the craziest thing With COVID we were telling everybody No you can't go out Yesterday it was like we really didn't I feel like there was no warnings I don't get why they haven't said anything I got the warning on the phone But it meant nothing because They don't even know what's going on They don't even realize how bad the error is

00:11:47 - 00:11:51 | Speaker 10:

Yes they do The warning says stay inside Close your doors

00:11:51 - 00:12:10 | Speaker 9:

They were still opening businesses You mean like shutting things Yeah, I don't want – but I'm saying it's like why was it Thursday or was it – yesterday was Thursday. Yesterday was Thursday. Why was it Wednesday afternoon? Guys, this is going to be bad tomorrow. Just be aware of the next two days.

00:12:10 - 00:12:13 | Speaker 10:

I don't know if they knew the extent. I don't know if – like how do you tell?

00:12:13 - 00:12:13 | Speaker 9:

Yeah.

00:12:14 - 00:12:16 | Speaker 10:

Like you can measure snowfall. I don't know if you can measure smoke.

00:12:16 - 00:12:20 | Speaker 2:

But we either have like winter weather advisories. Yeah. We had no advisory.

00:12:20 - 00:12:23 | Speaker 9:

School's closed today. I don't know about smoke. Heather, what did your husband do?

00:12:23 - 00:12:46 | Speaker 6:

well he went golfing this morning with his friend and i've been telling him since yesterday do not go it's terrible outside i actually work with the gentleman that he went golfing with so i was telling him yesterday you guys should not go you should not be you should not be out there well my friend who i work with told me yesterday that he used to smoke for 20 years so he's prepared for

00:12:46 - 00:12:54 | Speaker 9:

this oh my gosh this is just a normal day uh well i hope you bought the life insurance that you can't

00:12:54 - 00:13:02 | Speaker 6:

afford uh i do have it but i'm like seriously like i don't want to hear you complain and cough

00:13:02 - 00:13:16 | Speaker 9:

tonight i don't want to hear it i don't want to golf in this because you can't even see your ball like that's how that's how far you know the this or and i don't hit the ball very far but it's like I wouldn't know where my ball landed just from how smoggy it is out there.

00:13:17 - 00:13:26 | Speaker 2:
