All righty now. It is Mojo in the morning. Good to have you guys here with us today. Nice to, you know, give you an opportunity to kind of say hey and call us, text us, whatever Whatever you got to do, phone number 844-MOJO-LIVE. Text is 95500. Kevin, I can't believe this. You're about ready to have the Lord come down on you.

00:02:56 - 00:03:06 | Speaker 6:

I know. I know. I feel so bad, like, bringing this up. But it happened to me, and I got to say it. So, first off, because I need to be very clear, this did not happen in my church.

00:03:06 - 00:03:12 | Speaker 5:

But it happened at a second church I went to in the same day. Why are you making it clear that it did not happen at your church?

00:03:12 - 00:03:49 | Speaker 6:

Because I go to church. I love my church. Shout out to Josh Shockey, Motor City Church. Phenomenal church. I was in there, 11 a.m. service, banger, music, fire, message, more fire. They allow people to come up afterwards and get prayer. Been going through stuff, needed prayer. So it was great. Amazing. I leave church. I'm still filled with the Holy Spirit, right? So I hit up my friends, like, what y'all on? One of my friends said, I'm at church. I said, okay, when did it start? It was like 10 minutes ago. I'm like, it's not that far. I can still make it. Wait a second. You did double church? I've done that before. Double church on the same day? Let the spirit move you. You got to feel lit.

00:03:50 - 00:04:01 | Speaker 5:

Feel lit. By the way, I don't think I have ever double churched ever in my life. The only time maybe I went to a wedding and then I went to church, I don't know, 24 hours later.

00:04:01 - 00:04:34 | Speaker 6:

Double church is a vibe, especially when you go to some of these big churches where they have three or four services. You can go to another one. So I went to a later one. Still feeling the spirit. Great message. And then they did the same thing. my church does where they allow people to come up and they get prayer like one-on-one prayer with not maybe not the main pastor but other pastors i get up there i meet the guy hey this is my name this is what i'm going through blah blah he starts to pray and i'm locked into the spirit right i'm feeling his words i'm moved and then my nostrils are moved because his breath was on fire

00:04:34 - 00:04:41 | Speaker 5:

wait i'm talking about the the pastor that was praying for you i'm talking about he got his hands

00:04:41 - 00:04:59 | Speaker 6:

you know like if you ever have been prayed for in church it's a close experience yeah like your hands are on their hands are on your shoulders you like mouth to nose and he and my brother like father god please bless kevin with everything he going and in my mind i'm like i need the spirit to move through your mouth because it's like iron brimstone

00:05:00 - 00:05:12 | Speaker 1:

I'm coming out of your breath right now. My nose hair is on fire. And someone needs a breath mint. It's like you're locked into that moment. You can't leave. You can't exit the prayer quickly. He has to run through his whole process. Wait a second.

00:05:12 - 00:05:21 | Speaker 2:

This man praying. You can't. This is blasphemous. You are telling this pastor is praying for you. Maybe that was the Lord coming through his breath.

00:05:21 - 00:05:25 | Speaker 1:

The Lord can't smell like that. That's not my image of heaven.

00:05:25 - 00:05:29 | Speaker 2:

Do you picture that the Lord smells like dentine gum or something?

00:05:29 - 00:05:35 | Speaker 1:

That's like the Daisy song. I'm thinking of Justin Bieber right now. Yeah. But that's one of the moments, bro. I'm locked in.

00:05:35 - 00:05:43 | Speaker 2:

Lydia, you're very, you know, very religious or, you know, you like to, you know, you go to church, what, in Bible studies and stuff?

00:05:43 - 00:05:44 | Speaker 3:

Yeah.

00:05:44 - 00:05:48 | Speaker 2:

Do you think it's bad that he's talking about the pastor of a church having bad breath?

00:05:48 - 00:05:49 | Speaker 3:

No, I mean, they're human too.

00:05:49 - 00:05:50 | Speaker 2:

Amen.

00:05:50 - 00:05:56 | Speaker 3:

And they should know that. I feel like they would have no problem if Kevin was breathing in their face. He'd be like, bless his breath.

00:05:57 - 00:06:12 | Speaker 2:

Bless his breath. Can you say something to somebody? When somebody has bad breath, can you tell them their breath is bad or is that bad? Is that wrong to do? Like, I don't know if I could. I could probably, if it was one of you guys, I don't know if I could do it if it was like the pastor of a church, though.

00:06:12 - 00:06:28 | Speaker 1:

See, it's situational. Like, there are moments where you're having a conversation with someone or you're in passing and you can just walk away. Or you know that this doesn't have to be a long experience. When you're being prayed for, bro, you have no idea when that prayer is going to end.

00:06:29 - 00:06:31 | Speaker 2:

I'd be like, thank you, man. Thank you, brother.

00:06:31 - 00:06:35 | Speaker 1:

In the middle of this interrupt, I'm good. Thank you. I actually feel better now. I got to go.

00:06:35 - 00:06:43 | Speaker 2:

Oh, my God. That's horrible. I just figure if you're somebody that is around people that much, you got to tell them that. His breath stinks. Like, it's got to be that.

00:06:44 - 00:06:45 | Speaker 1:

Sorry. Right at the end of it?

00:06:45 - 00:06:50 | Speaker 2:

Yeah. Real quick. Can I pray for your breath? Can I pray for your...

00:06:50 - 00:06:53 | Speaker 1:

I got some more communion cookies in the back. I'm not allowed to eat one.

00:06:54 - 00:07:00 | Speaker 2:

Can I pray for your spouse that has to go home with you in that bad breath?

00:07:00 - 00:07:01 | Speaker 1:

Hallelujah versus halitosis.

00:07:05 - 00:07:56 | Speaker 2:

That's got to be the title of this thing. That's got to be the title of this podcast. 844-MOJO-LIVE, 844-665-6548. You know what this reminds me of? You know, with schools and stuff back. It reminds me of we had a teacher growing up. and this teacher mrs lens had the worst breath ever and the worst was when she would call you up to the front of the class she would call you up to tell you something and she would not want to embarrass you in front of everybody and i dreaded having to get called up to her desk not because i thought i was gonna get in trouble but because we were this close yes and you know what i mean and when you're this close you're like oh god i'm having to smell this thing and And I think that there's, it reminds me of my grandpa had bad breath too. Do old people get to a certain point where the breath all of a sudden starts smelling like musty?

00:07:56 - 00:08:23 | Speaker 1:

I think like as they get closer to death, like their tongue dies. It's almost like a tooth starts to die. But you're right about this teacher. So I used to have a teacher way back in the day when I was in middle school. His name was Mr. Duncan. He was like our music teacher. Mr. Duncan, not only did he have like off breath some days, but he was a spitter when he spoke. So when he brought you up close and he was telling you about stuff, you got the hot air and the condensation just dripping all over the place.

00:08:24 - 00:08:56 | Speaker 2:

844-MOJO-LIVE, 844-665-6548. The text is 95500. We did a bit years ago. She's going to hate that I'm bringing this up right now. But we did a bit years ago on the show, way before Kevin and Lydia and Bianca and Zach were part of the show. and we had a great local dentist, like he's a local oral surgeon, Dr. Nemeth come in and he did a breath test on all of us.

00:08:56 - 00:08:57 | Speaker 1:

Oh God.

00:08:57 - 00:08:59 | Speaker 2:

And Shannon came in dead last place. For real?

00:08:59 - 00:09:00 | Speaker 1:

Shannon got nasty breath?

00:09:00 - 00:09:59 | Speaker 2:

Which is, no. Well, she was pregnant I think at the time so she had pregnancy breath. That's what they said. Is that real? But it was kind of nasty. I don't know. That's what she claimed. She claimed that it was. And then he did a thing with me where he gave me And I still use it to this day, a tongue scraper. And I, so I use, and I hate to give you my oral hygiene, you know, routine, but I use a tongue scraper and then my dentist and my orthodontist, my dentist is Dr. DePilla. My orthodontist is Dr. Reynolds. And both of those guys told me that the water pick was like the greatest thing ever. You got to do the water pick. So I do the water flosser. And then I also brush my teeth with an electric toothbrush. so if you do have bad breath there's your breath moment of the day what's up martin how you doing i'm doing good sir how are you good martin is one of those forward people like he comes forward and speaks his mind what's going on so

00:10:00 - 00:10:17 | Speaker 4:

I'm the type of person where I want to be treated like anybody else. Like, if you see something wrong with me, you tell me. I will do the same thing. So if I got something in my teeth, if I got bad breath, if I got a booger hanging in my nose, tell me. A quick, like, nudge. Like, scrape your teeth. Like, pretend that something's there. Just tell me.

00:10:17 - 00:10:22 | Speaker 2:

So if you were Kevin and with this pastor, you would have said something?

00:10:24 - 00:10:27 | Speaker 4:

I would 100% be like, and praise your breath.

00:10:28 - 00:10:47 | Speaker 3:

Praise your breath. See, that's the difference between all three of those things. The first two are quick and easy fixes. If you got something in your tooth, get your little pinky nail or whatever, you can get that out or use your tongue. If you got a booger in your nose, you can wipe that out, pop that out. Bad breath, if I don't have gum, mints, or Lifesavers, you just stuck with that breath.

00:10:47 - 00:10:50 | Speaker 2:

Yeah, there's no way to rectify it.

00:10:51 - 00:10:53 | Speaker 4:

Like you said, let the spirit move through that breath.

00:10:55 - 00:10:59 | Speaker 2:

Martin, I love you. Take care of yourself, buddy. What's going on? How are you doing, Valerie?

00:11:00 - 00:11:24 | Speaker 7:

Hi. When I was in junior high, I had a math teacher that would foam up and start crusting in the corners of his mouth. And it grossed me out so bad, I could not look at him. And I'm not doing well in the class, and my dad would chew my ass. Well, later, I'm out of school. I'm in my 30s. My dad's on a beer league with this teacher. And he's like, oh, my God, you weren't kidding. It's disgusting.

00:11:24 - 00:11:35 | Speaker 2:

By the way, the crusties on the corner, they happen to you. You'd get, I don't know if it's dry mouth or foam mouth or something like that. Yeah.

00:11:35 - 00:11:37 | Speaker 7:

No, you got to do something about it.

00:11:38 - 00:11:53 | Speaker 2:

It's horrible. Yeah, it's bad. Thank you. What's up, Michelle? How you doing? Good morning. How are you guys? We're doing good. Kev went to church twice. Can you believe it? And he ended up running into the bad breath pastor. What's happening?

00:11:54 - 00:12:07 | Speaker 6:

um so it's crazy whenever you smell something that smells awful like i can't stand a deal but i have my kindergarten teacher and i remember you know they hug you and everything

00:12:07 - 00:12:14 | Speaker 2:

her cleavage smelled horrible wait that your kindergarten teacher this years and years ago

00:12:14 - 00:12:35 | Speaker 6:

you still remember the smell of her cleavage yes because you also have like these low-cut dresses on and you know she's hugged you and whatever and i remember i remember is it bad perfume maybe it maybe i don't know it's more than that i don't know it was like formunda or

00:12:35 - 00:12:55 | Speaker 2:

something i don't know that's awesome hold on tammy how you doing i'm doing great how are you good what's happening you also ran across a bad breath pastor yes i did my my son passed away

00:12:55 - 00:13:19 | Speaker 8:

earlier this year and um you know i'm okay now but because he was a child you know i didn't have flowers so we had to get to the funeral home to decorate and oh my gosh his breath was so bad They kind of snapped me out of my sadness. Oh, my God. And it wasn't me that just made that. I'm like, is it me?

00:13:19 - 00:13:25 | Speaker 2:

And they're like, no, girl, it's him. Oh, Tammy, I'm glad we can laugh about it, though, isn't it?

00:13:26 - 00:13:28 | Speaker 8:

Yeah. That's nice. Yeah, it was bad. It was really bad.

00:13:29 - 00:13:38 | Speaker 2:

Oh, God love you. I wonder if it's the same pastor. You and Kevin need to share the pastor's name off the air. Get her number. Carrie is a dental hygienist who says we're doing it all wrong. What do you mean, Carrie?

00:13:40 - 00:13:51 | Speaker 5:

The reason why people have that kick in breath is gum disease, periodontal disease, and no amount of gum or mouthwash is going to cover it up.

00:13:51 - 00:13:51 | Speaker 2:

Okay.

00:13:52 - 00:13:56 | Speaker 5:

If you're at the dental office, you can walk by a room and smell gum disease.

00:13:57 - 00:14:06 | Speaker 3:

If I'm talking to someone, now I'm not trying to save their life, but I'm looking for temporary relief. Will a mint at least buy me 10 minutes?

00:14:06 - 00:14:20 | Speaker 5:

probably not if it's that bad it's gonna smell like mint and funk now yeah okay they need professional help sorry well somebody told me it's also stomach too

00:14:20 - 00:14:25 | Speaker 2:

people could have stomach rot or something like that too yes but what is gum disease it is

00:14:25 - 00:14:32 | Speaker 5:

actually your rotting flesh in your mouth that is what it is that's horrible so that's awful

00:14:32 - 00:14:42 | Speaker 2:

Thank you for the call. I appreciate it. Kev from Mojo in the Morning. He wasn't insulting you. He was just describing you. This is Mojo in the Morning.
