all right mojo in the morning show a little halloween fun for us hope you guys have a good halloween today uh hope the kids get some good trick-or-treating and i hope the weather cooperates i i know it's one of those things where um it's also one where you got to just be safe too because the injuries come including the injuries that shannon you guys experienced at your place yeah

00:01:50 - 00:02:26 | Speaker 5:

I want to know, how were you or somebody you know injured by Halloween? And for me in particular, it wasn't actually me. It wasn't Wes. It wasn't any of our kids. It was our dang dogs that got injured by Halloween because those idiots, and I love them so much, and they're so cute, ate the pumpkins that we had on our outside steps. And it was pumpkin vomit fest yesterday with pumpkin guts and all of the other stuff that came along with it. They ate, they actually ate pumpkin.

00:02:26 - 00:02:27 | Speaker 2:

What did they think it was?

00:02:27 - 00:02:29 | Speaker 5:

I have no idea. They're just dumb.

00:02:29 - 00:02:33 | Speaker 2:

I know you got to be careful. Is pumpkin bad for dogs like chocolate is?

00:02:34 - 00:03:01 | Speaker 5:

No, it's actually good for dogs. Is it? But I think that it just really upset their stomachs, the two bigger dogs. and it was absolutely disgusting and it's funny because the other night when we were carving pumpkins we had you know how you have like the bucket the Home Depot bucket that you put all the guts in one of the dogs and I don't know which one was eating some of that because I found seeds as well so it was just like

00:03:01 - 00:03:49 | Speaker 2:

nasty Halloween I think if I remember correctly because I remember that we did this you know 5-10 years ago or something like that is the holiday that more people get injured. Everybody thinks that it's 4th of July, but more people get injured with Halloween. Oh, here you go. 55% of people get injured carving pumpkins, 25% due to falls while trick-or-treating in a costume, 20% from miscellaneous situations like ingesting certain things or allergic reactions are a big deal. This was actually kind of an interesting one. I never thought about this. The toxins that you take in by doing certain costumes. Because you're willing to do things to yourself.

00:03:49 - 00:03:52 | Speaker 5:

Like the spray paint and the makeup and all that stuff.

00:03:52 - 00:04:28 | Speaker 2:

Yeah, and you don't realize what you're doing. And they say Halloween is also the second biggest emergency room visit night. The New Year's is like the big one. That's wild. Like tummy aches? You have to know you're going to the emergency room For some kind of an injury Something happens Your kids get hit by a car or something God forbid Or you got issues with somebody hurting themselves Or eating something that they shouldn't be in What's up, Jesse? You there? Yeah, I'm here How you doing? We're talking about Halloween injuries

00:04:28 - 00:04:30 | Speaker 1:

Halloween injuries?

00:04:31 - 00:04:32 | Speaker 2:

00:04:41 - 00:04:42 | Speaker 1:

00:04:44 - 00:04:46 | Speaker 1:

00:04:46 - 00:04:56 | Speaker 2:

00:04:57 - 00:04:59 | Speaker 2:

00:05:00 - 00:05:05 | Speaker 1:

injury. She's getting freaked out about this Taylor thing. You better shake it off in there. Hey!

00:05:06 - 00:05:08 | Speaker 3:

I can't keep up!

00:05:08 - 00:06:03 | Speaker 1:

No, no, no. We love you, Lydia. So Halloween injuries. Yeah, she is, by the way. I'm not kidding you. She's ready for this thing to be done. But you know, this is good though. This is good for us as a show because think of all the listeners that are listening to the show. It's just that unfortunately, Lydia's the front desk operator. You know, she's the the person that has to this Halloween injury think of a 911 operator working on a Nut Lake tonight and they got to sit there and deal with did I win Taylor Swift tickets? could you imagine? I'm calling off am I? what's going on? 00:06:21 - 00:06:24 | Speaker 1:

Huh? What's that?

00:06:25 - 00:06:26 | Speaker 4:

00:06:28 - 00:06:32 | Speaker 1:

No This is Jet's Pizza You want to order your pizza for tonight?

00:06:34 - 00:06:36 | Speaker 4:

Okay Sorry, I couldn't hear you there

00:06:36 - 00:06:42 | Speaker 1:

Yeah, you called Jet's Pizza? What would you like? We have a twofer going on right now

00:06:44 - 00:06:44 | Speaker 2:

Are you sure?

00:06:44 - 00:06:48 | Speaker 1:

Two medium pizzas for $22.25.

00:06:48 - 00:06:52 | Speaker 2:

And some cinnamon sticks. Would you like it?

00:06:53 - 00:07:48 | Speaker 1:

No, it's not. We're minutes away from this contest. I almost should just do this contest until we get a winner and just keep going back and forth. But you know what? That would be as boring as it is right now, me just sitting there picking up phone calls live. I would lose my mind. I would Lydia's I want one person To lose her mind And it ain't me You know Lydia loses her mind And it's like Nice losing your mind I lose my mind I start throwing things I get a little crazy Do you remember When you were kids And you would wear The costumes That were like The hard costumes Because like I went in I went one time As a fire truck I remember as a little kid Yeah And I was literally The front and the back Like I was both Because I was such a big kid And I remember Like going up to people's front doors, like banging into something. So this one, here's a funny story. So the Krasnowskis live across the street from us.

00:07:48 - 00:07:50 | Speaker 2:

Oh, I love when you talk about the Krasnowskis.

00:07:50 - 00:08:20 | Speaker 1:

And I walked up as the fire truck, and I knocked all the potted plants and everything over in the front of the house. And Mrs. Krasnowski was a nice lady. The husband was kind of a dick. And he was so upset because I completely, like, you know, you're a big kid with a big costume, and mom and dad made me this thing. It was kind of like made out of, like, cardboard And a bunch of things And I ended up Bumping into the thing Knocking it over And then when you turn around You're like Thank you for the candy You turn around You bang the kids And the parents That are right there behind

00:08:20 - 00:08:28 | Speaker 2:

Smith has one of those Inflatable costumes this year And I'm feeling like He's kind of clumsy Like me anyway I'm like This is going to be A disaster tonight

00:08:28 - 00:08:35 | Speaker 1:

Do you think Smith is going to be The inflatable The entire night While it's Wind gusts Of possibly 30 miles an hour

00:08:35 - 00:08:56 | Speaker 2:

I know And Lucy has like That big Like piece of her Costume too It's like a fake Instagram photo that she's got. I mean, they're both going to get blown away. Lucy's going to take flight. She's going to hate it. Wes already said today he's going to get straps for it so she can strap it to her body. So then her wolf is going to fly like a kite. She's going to get airborne.

00:08:57 - 00:09:02 | Speaker 1:

It's going to be like Charlie and the Chocolate Factory. He's going to be flying up through the top of the thing.

00:09:02 - 00:09:08 | Speaker 2:

These four kids could never get to break on Halloween. Can you have the Mary Poppins soundtrack ready for Let's Go!

00:09:08 - 00:09:08 | Unknown:

Yeah, right.

00:09:09 - 00:09:14 | Speaker 1:

August what's going on it's Mojo in the morning how were you injured by Halloween

00:09:14 - 00:09:29 | Speaker 4:

so when I was in high school I we were carving pumpkins and my hand slipped down the knife and I sliced my hand open so deep I had to go to the ER to get stitches no that's my biggest fear yeah

00:09:29 - 00:09:39 | Speaker 1:

I don't even think that the safe thing that you're supposed to cut pumpkins with you know the one that you can get like at Michael's I don't even think that's safe I think you can chop off fingers with that damn thing

00:09:39 - 00:09:40 | Speaker 4:

It's so flimsy. That's what we were using.

00:09:41 - 00:09:45 | Speaker 1:

Yeah, that's crazy. What's going on, Sam? Hi.

00:09:46 - 00:09:50 | Speaker 3:

Hi, I'm trying to help out Lydia with a Halloween injury story.

00:09:50 - 00:09:51 | Speaker 1:

Yeah, yes. What do you got?

00:09:53 - 00:09:59 | Speaker 3:

So when I was a kid, my parents would decorate our yard for Halloween with the big inflatables.

00:10:00 - 00:10:13 | Speaker 5:

And we had a bigger lot in our subdivision, so the kids would cut through our yard and they would trip on the strings that held down the inflatables and their candy would go flying across the yard. Oh, no.

00:10:13 - 00:10:18 | Speaker 3:

Oh, my God. That's what we should do. Put like a landmines in your yard. No.

00:10:18 - 00:10:22 | Speaker 1:

Like the Hunger Games. You know what? You know what we should do? Harm children.

00:10:22 - 00:10:48 | Speaker 3:

so we we don't i'm not big on picking up my uh uh my dog's duty in the yard the funniest is when the kids cross through the yard to come over because they want to like get from house to house faster and the kids crap oh you've got to pick that up tonight chelsea's like why didn't you pick that up i'm like i don't give a rat's ass about that i don't even know this kid what's What's up, Crystal? How you doing?

00:10:48 - 00:10:50 | Speaker 4:

That's my baby. Hey, how are you guys?

00:10:50 - 00:10:55 | Speaker 3:

I wonder why he doesn't have trick-or-treating on us. Right, you wonder why. Who got injured on Halloween?

00:10:55 - 00:11:28 | Speaker 5:

First of all, first time, long time. Hey there! Oh, Crystal's on the phone! Woo! So my daughter had gone out of work and she went to a haunted horn maze and she got scared, went running, tripped out, dislocated her shoulder. And then a year to date, a year later, she was working for Spirit Halloween, had gotten her outfit on, went straight for some creepy back then video, and she re-dislocated her shoulder again. Oh, my gosh. Oh, no.

00:11:29 - 00:11:33 | Speaker 3:

Yeah, that was pretty awful. Poor girl. Tell her to be safe today, okay?

00:11:34 - 00:11:35 | Speaker 5:

Yeah, I will.

00:11:35 - 00:11:51 | Speaker 3:

What's up, Marlena? we're minutes away from the taylor or literally seconds away from the taylor contest uh merlina hi i'm calling for taylor contest you're not calling for the taylor contest no are you ready

00:11:51 - 00:12:19 | Speaker 4:

for this thing to be over with as much as lydia is i am i am oh my god we're talking about how how'd you injure yourself so it wasn't me it was my daughter um we lived in farmakin hills and you You know, the houses have that little ditch in the front where the story is. Yeah. So she was running to get candy, and when she came back, she twisted her leg and broke it.

00:12:19 - 00:12:21 | Speaker 2:

Oh, my God. Oh, my God.

00:12:21 - 00:12:27 | Speaker 4:

Oh, that's terrible. Oh, my God. What was she dressed as? I don't even know.

00:12:28 - 00:12:32 | Speaker 3:

I don't even remember. Did she get any candy, or was it at the beginning of the night?

00:12:33 - 00:12:37 | Speaker 4:

She got some candy. We had to finish getting candy for her. You better keep on going.

00:12:39 - 00:12:43 | Speaker 5:

I got other kids. Oh, my God.

00:12:44 - 00:12:51 | Speaker 2:

I'm low-key with that, though. Imagine you're a kid. You get all dressed up for Halloween. You're about to get candy, and you got to stop because Cousin Gerald broke his leg.

00:12:51 - 00:13:00 | Speaker 5:

Be honest. Did you believe her when she said, like, I think my leg is broken? Or were you like, you're being dramatic. Get up and walk.

00:13:01 - 00:13:13 | Speaker 4:

No, no, no. No, I did believe. Well, I didn't think that she, I thought she maybe just sprung it. I didn't think that she broke it. So I kind of felt bad when I took her to the doctors and they were like, yeah, she broke it.

00:13:13 - 00:13:17 | Speaker 5:

Be honest. Did you take her that night or did you take her the next day?

00:13:17 - 00:13:18 | Unknown:

The next day.

00:13:22 - 00:13:29 | Speaker 5:

I've been there. I have been there. It was late. I was tired. It was late. Oh, my God.

00:13:29 - 00:13:35 | Speaker 3:

You're the mom of moms. We love you. Thank you for the call. That was awesome. All right. We love you too.

00:13:35 - 00:14:05 | Speaker 1:
