sponsored jobs. I have no idea if this is the TV's fault or something's going on, but my TV, somebody messed my TV up. Have you, do you guys remember when you had to have your station on the certain channel in order to record it? You know, remember, do you guys remember that at all with the DVR, it wouldn't just turn automatically. You had to have the station on. And then you said it was when TiVo was around. Did you guys ever watch TiVo? Did you ever have a TiVo? I know what it is,

00:02:00 - 00:02:04 | Speaker 2:

yeah. I can still hear that noise. Yeah, exactly.

00:02:05 - 00:02:15 | Speaker 3:

Well, somebody turns my TVs off here in the studio. Alright? I say mine, but they're actually ours. And when I say ours, I mean they're the whole stations. They're not really...

00:02:15 - 00:02:18 | Speaker 2:

Did it go on? Oh, there they go.

00:02:18 - 00:02:33 | Speaker 3:

So it's like, you know, it's messing with me a little bit What a hard life I know, it's very hard I like the mood set at a certain light level too I like that

00:02:33 - 00:02:34 | Speaker 2:

That's not true

00:02:34 - 00:02:37 | Speaker 3:

I like Actually, there's about 12 bulbs missing

00:02:37 - 00:02:40 | Speaker 2:

No, you come in here and you crank all those lights

00:02:40 - 00:02:42 | Speaker 3:

Well, that's my mood level

00:02:42 - 00:02:46 | Speaker 2:

As hot as they can go It is so bright in the studio I should wear sunglasses

00:02:46 - 00:02:51 | Speaker 3:

If it were up to Shannon, we would be in the dark. We would have candlelight.

00:02:51 - 00:02:51 | Speaker 2:

We would have candlelight.

00:02:52 - 00:02:57 | Speaker 3:

It would be us. I would fall asleep in this. Do you understand? Do you understand what it would be like?

00:02:58 - 00:03:08 | Speaker 2:

When you're not here, it's very dark in the studio. I don't know how you do that. We leave it like, we maybe put them 25% up.

00:03:08 - 00:03:11 | Speaker 3:

You don't know how the light or the dark?

00:03:11 - 00:03:26 | Speaker 1:

How you could work this early without all of the lights on full blast. Yes. I have three sets of lights in here, like regular, what are they called, fluorescents, and we have track lighting, and then I have a ring light that I turn on full blast, because if it's not all on, I will fall asleep during the show.

00:03:26 - 00:03:52 | Speaker 3:

Yeah, I'm telling you, it's the waking you up. Like, when I did night radio, night radio, I had the lights kind of down low, because you did not want to see the stuff that was going on in night radio. Morning radio, it's like, this is tough. We're trying to get alerted, so. All right, Mojo on the morning show. So, Shannon, I saw yesterday that you guys were doing, like, rock climbing or something like that.

00:03:52 - 00:04:12 | Speaker 2:

Yeah, Wes is way more active than I am. And so when he plans, like, a date, it's something usually like that that's very active. I'm like, let's go drink margaritas. And he's like, let's go climb rocks. So actually yesterday we climbed rocks. I'm that kind of a date, too, by the way.

00:04:12 - 00:04:20 | Speaker 3:

I'm an active date, too. Are you? You are such a liar. I'm like, let's go and watch TV in the bedroom and not in the living room. Yeah.

00:04:20 - 00:04:59 | Speaker 2:

No, and honestly, I really appreciate him kind of pushing me because it was really fun. I've never done it before. So we went to this place in Madison Heights called Planet Rock. And we pull up. And honestly, I'm kind of nervous because this was my first time doing it. And I didn't want to make an ass of myself. But we pull up into the parking lot. He parks the car. We get out. He pops open the trunk of his car, and he very proudly pulls out this duffel bag filled with his own rock climbing harnesses and shoes and clips. He has his own harnesses? Oh, yes, he does. And I said, no, no. Don't they provide those for you at the rock climbing wall place?

00:05:00 - 00:05:08 | Speaker 5:

They do. They do. And I said, you know what you are? I was in shock. I said, you are the guy that brings his own bowling ball to the bowling alley.

00:05:08 - 00:05:09 | Speaker 3:

A legend.

00:05:09 - 00:05:19 | Speaker 5:

I can't date you. And he's like, he goes, well, I don't, you're going to be wearing somebody else's harness that they're crotch touched.

00:05:19 - 00:05:20 | Unknown:

And I'm not.

00:05:20 - 00:05:23 | Speaker 2:

I'm like, oh, okay. Yeah, but aren't your clothes on? Yes. Is that what I'm saying?

00:05:24 - 00:05:26 | Speaker 5:

Yes. But he is that guy.

00:05:26 - 00:05:37 | Speaker 2:

So how, wait, can I, he's the big Lebowski is what he is. That is true. Can I ask this question? How often is he rock climbing that he has went out and purchased his own rock climbing harnesses? So that's what I asked.

00:05:37 - 00:05:56 | Speaker 5:

And he hadn't done it in a really long time. But, you know, back in the day, like years ago, he was training to be on American Ninja Warrior. And so that was one of the things that he did to train. So he bought all of his own equipment so that he had it. And I was like, you cannot walk in with that duffel bag.

00:05:56 - 00:06:02 | Speaker 2:

When he walked in there, did people look at him like, is this like the maintenance man coming in to fix something? Or what do they look?

00:06:02 - 00:06:07 | Speaker 5:

Honestly, I learned very quickly that that's very normal. It is? For a place like that. Wow. Yeah.

00:06:08 - 00:06:13 | Speaker 2:

That's kind of wild. It's like, you know, it's like you brought up the bowling ball. It's like the person that goes to shoot pool and brings their own pool cue.

00:06:13 - 00:06:15 | Speaker 4:

Oh, cool. I want to be that guy.

00:06:15 - 00:06:22 | Speaker 2:

Or have you heard the story about Dr. Darius from WJLB? No. He brings his own microphone to work every day.

00:06:22 - 00:06:24 | Speaker 5:

Oh, no. He does not. Yes.

00:06:24 - 00:06:28 | Speaker 2:

He carries in, in a briefcase, his own microphone.

00:06:28 - 00:06:30 | Speaker 5:

And switches it out every day, Megan.

00:06:30 - 00:06:47 | Speaker 2:

He's the afternoon guy on FM 98 WJLB, and he actually carries it in. So if you go into the studio that he works in after he's done, there's no microphone in the compartment. You have to find wherever the microphone is laying.

00:06:48 - 00:06:56 | Speaker 4:

That's too much work. Like, that is way too much work. Can't he just store it somewhere in the building? Like, why carry it with you everywhere?

00:06:56 - 00:07:00 | Speaker 2:

Because, I don't know, it's a special microphone. Somebody said...

00:07:00 - 00:07:01 | Speaker 4:

Put a lock on it.

00:07:02 - 00:07:07 | Speaker 2:

Big Dog Blast said that when he opens it up, a light shines out from it.

00:07:08 - 00:07:09 | Speaker 4:

And the angels sing.

00:07:10 - 00:08:34 | Speaker 2:

I want to do this. I want to later bring this up again about Wes bringing his own harnesses and things like that. And I want to find out what people have that they bring to places. Like even to like a restaurant or like what? Yeah. Do you bring your own sauces or? Yeah. I don't know. Or silverware and plates. Like do you carry your own stuff? If you do, you text nine five five zero zero. Don't call us. We'll call you because we're going to do a contest here right now. And then we'll and we'll call you right back after the dirty text nine five five zero zero. What's the crazy thing that you bring with you? all I keep thinking to myself is you went rock climbing aren't there those jumpy places like where you can jump on things like you know like trampoline parks I'm thinking of like other things that are just like that like that are activity centers and stuff like what could you bring to one of those socks yeah your own yeah well I guess you do bring your own socks that is that is kind of true and I get you go golfing you bring your own golf clubs so my wife brings her own my wife brings her own hot sauce Really? Okay, so there you go. But here's one with golf. Miniature golf. Are you a miniature golf guy that brings your own golf club? Like your own putter? Like if you bring your own putter, you're a loser. Lauren, are you there? Yep. Lauren, you have a husband that is equally weirdo to Wes.

00:08:35 - 00:08:36 | Speaker 3:

Yeah.

00:08:36 - 00:08:37 | Speaker 2:

What does he do?

00:08:38 - 00:08:43 | Speaker 3:

He has his own axe that he brings when we go axe throwing. Oh, God.

00:08:45 - 00:08:52 | Speaker 2:

That's kind of scary that he has that in his car. Like, does he keep it in a backpack or something? Although that would be even scarier.

00:08:52 - 00:08:58 | Speaker 3:

It's got a guard on the blade that it comes with, but, yeah, no. It just sits in the trunk when we go.

00:08:58 - 00:09:05 | Speaker 2:

Oh, all right. If he gets pulled over by the cops and they ask to search his car, all of a sudden they find an ax sitting in the back, that explanation might be a little fishy.

00:09:07 - 00:09:18 | Speaker 3:

Right. I have the same issue when I was throwing in college. We were trying to go to Canada to go throw, and we had our implements with us, and they're like, where are you going? We're like, right over to Windsor to go throw.

00:09:19 - 00:09:27 | Speaker 2:

Yeah, they probably wonder what's going on. This is even funnier than the axe. Kevin, what do you bring with you when you go play? So I take

00:09:27 - 00:09:30 | Speaker 1:

my own cornhole bags with me to go play cornhole. Oh, yes.

00:09:31 - 00:09:33 | Speaker 5:

Aren't they all the same? They're just little beanbags.

00:09:34 - 00:09:43 | Speaker 1:

So they might look like regular beanbags, but I take in, when I go play, I take a backpack of four sets. And they're all different speeds and styles and designs.

00:09:44 - 00:09:48 | Speaker 2:

Your own bags have a certain feel. I like how they might...

00:09:48 - 00:09:58 | Speaker 1:

You find ones that you like and they just feel better. It's not just me. There's all kinds of people out there that take them. There's tournaments everywhere that require you to bring your own bags.

00:09:58 - 00:09:58 | Speaker 2:

Interesting.

00:10:00 - 00:10:41 | Speaker 3:

knew that what do your bags feel like please tell me they're soft and full i love it um this now okay those are two with activities this is food wise listen to this um we've got a listener here and says that i bring my own avocados with me when i go to a restaurant now that seems like it's rather cheap you just don't want to pay extra for the avocado or something but that's also kind of a lot of work right uh three one three says i'm mexican and i take my own tortillas with me to a restaurant sometimes i get that all right some places have really good tortillas and then nikki listen to this one uh nikki for a night out party and what

00:10:41 - 00:11:07 | Speaker 1:

do you bring with you in your in your purse i always have my own cocktail straws in my purse with me at all times i have them here right here right now wait why well sometimes you go to restaurants or bar or whatever that don't have the cocktail straws, especially after COVID. And I have to have my cocktail straws. I'm a complete clob and I will wear more of my drink than I get in my mouth if I don't have them. All right. Fair.

00:11:08 - 00:11:15 | Speaker 3:

All right. So you got those little cocktail straws in your bag there. Do you have them wrapped up in like a Ziploc bag or?

00:11:16 - 00:11:22 | Speaker 1:

No, I have them in. I have like a little clutch wallet kind of thing that I take with me and it's got a side pocket and I keep them right in there.

00:11:22 - 00:11:26 | Speaker 3:

All right, right there, your little holster. That's your cocktail straw holster.

00:11:27 - 00:11:27 | Speaker 1:

That's right.

00:11:28 - 00:11:59 | Speaker 5:
