Mojo in the morning show. Megan went to the wedding this weekend and had something happened after the wedding. I'm going to title this one and make sure this podcast is titled this way.

00:02:24 - 00:04:15 | Speaker 2:

he didn't show up because of megan yeah no i feel really bad about this so um this wedding that i went to this past weekend was so much fun so much fun i want to make that very clear before i say this next part because it's going to sound exhausting because it was but in the best way it was a three-day wedding it was three days of festivities which by the way i actually now think should be the standard for all weddings because it was like a vacation weekend that was an absolute blast where you got to celebrate some friends but at the second day of the events which was the actual wedding itself um i met someone and uh we had some fun together throughout the night and it turned out to just be a really good time that's what i'll say So we had a fun time, but it turns out that we may have complicated things within the friend group and he didn't actually show up to the third day of festivities and it's starting to kind of cause a rift in the friend group because it's kind of crappy when you RSVP to be at an event and then you don't show up because of the choices you made and it's causing like a big rift over who should apologize was it that big of a deal do they hold it against him or hold it against you and him so i don't know if they're holding it against me they said they didn't and quite frankly i showed up so i'm not the problem here um i think they're just frustrated with him for not coming to the third day of activities because of what happened on the

00:04:15 - 00:04:23 | Speaker 4:

second okay so in it real quick let's go back for a second for any of the listeners that didn't hear this it was an out-of-town wedding but there were multiple things so there was like what something

00:04:23 - 00:04:27 | Speaker 2:

thursday friday saturday sunday no just thursday friday saturday okay thursday friday saturday

00:04:27 - 00:04:35 | Speaker 4:

and the the boom boom wow thing right happened friday yeah but he didn't show up so up to the

00:04:35 - 00:04:59 | Speaker 2:

events on saturday oh i know i know and it started causing a really big problem because essentially like the third day event was still almost like a mini wedding like there was a cost per head and so when you say that you're going to be there and then you don't show up it wasn't like it was a bar crawl where we're all paying our own tab yeah she had paid for a seat for him to be there.

00:05:00 - 00:05:04 | Speaker 4:

Do we, uh, first off, how was, uh, Friday?

00:05:05 - 00:05:05 | Speaker 2:

I had a fun time.

00:05:06 - 00:05:07 | Speaker 4:

Okay.

00:05:07 - 00:05:08 | Speaker 2:

Everything was great.

00:05:08 - 00:05:08 | Speaker 4:

Was it?

00:05:09 - 00:05:23 | Speaker 2:

Mm-hmm. He had a mustache. Can you imagine? He looked like a firefighter. Just picture a firefighter. Really? I never thought I would make out with the dude with a mustache, but here we are. Here we are.

00:05:23 - 00:05:38 | Speaker 4:

Quick, quick question, uh, to, to just ask this. this um how does it make you feel that he didn't show up the next day does it make you feel great because maybe he was exhausted or does it make you feel like he's ghosting you um a little bit

00:05:38 - 00:06:19 | Speaker 2:

of both i don't think i felt ghosted because i wasn't like because i've had the time like it wasn't like i've met my soulmate and this is what it is yeah but it was more like we had fun who cares yeah uh and i think he was more embarrassed not by me but by the fact that like i'm a part of the friend group even though i'm not there i'm the friend that comes in and out infrequently oh he was stop i'm questioning so uh these are all of my friends in chicago so i'm not there super often i visit pretty regularly so i see him a few times throughout the year and uh i think he was more like i can't believe i did that in the front group here's my question i'm gonna throw

00:06:19 - 00:06:48 | Speaker 4:

Then you say your comment, because I'm going to have the listeners call up about this. Did Megan and this guy commit a foul by effing in the friend group? Can you effing the friend group? Can you do this? I'll say yes. Or is that a rule that friend groups, the friend groups, should not have any? Because I always felt like whenever I watched Friends back in the day, when those guys would intersperse with each other, it always changed the dynamic of everything. So 844-MOJO-LIVE.

00:06:48 - 00:07:07 | Speaker 3:

You have to be the type of people that can. If you allow it to change the dynamic, then it will. Because I think oftentimes people get weird in those situations. And they think it has to change. The dynamic being that is has to change, but it really doesn't. So my question, in this situation, did your friends see you guys hanging out and talking? Like was there?

00:07:07 - 00:07:08 | Speaker 2:

Everybody knew when it happened.

00:07:09 - 00:07:13 | Speaker 3:

Gotcha. Before it even happened. Gotcha. You know what I mean? Yeah. So it wasn't like. Wasn't a big deal.

00:07:13 - 00:07:21 | Speaker 2:

And I think that's what the problem is, is I think. And I hope our listeners don't hear it this way. I'm not upset he didn't call me. I'm not upset he didn't text me.

00:07:21 - 00:07:22 | Speaker 3:

Have you talked at all?

00:07:22 - 00:07:27 | Speaker 2:

No. I'm not upset about it. I don't really care. That's weird, though. I'm upset he didn't show up when he said he would.

00:07:27 - 00:07:28 | Speaker 3:

Yeah.

00:07:28 - 00:07:30 | Speaker 2:

Because then it makes me look bad.

00:07:30 - 00:07:31 | Speaker 3:

So he didn't even come to the wedding.

00:07:31 - 00:07:33 | Speaker 2:

No. All of this happened at the wedding.

00:07:34 - 00:07:34 | Speaker 4:

Gotcha.

00:07:34 - 00:07:37 | Speaker 2:

Our fun activities happened because of the wedding.

00:07:37 - 00:07:41 | Speaker 4:

Did people know that you guys had hooked up when the event started on Saturday? Or did?

00:07:42 - 00:07:42 | Speaker 2:

Yeah.

00:07:42 - 00:07:46 | Speaker 4:

Okay. So they knew. Did they all turn to you and go, what happened?

00:07:46 - 00:07:56 | Speaker 2:

A lot of them are like, where is he? Okay. And I was like, I don't know. And that is not my, I'm sorry, but that's none of my business. I don't know where he is.

00:07:56 - 00:08:07 | Speaker 4:

Texters here are texting in. This is interesting. One just asked a question and asked and said, Megan, do you feel like he one night stand you?

00:08:09 - 00:08:11 | Speaker 2:

Yeah, but like, I don't care.

00:08:12 - 00:08:12 | Speaker 4:

It doesn't care. Okay.

00:08:12 - 00:08:17 | Speaker 2:

You know what I mean? Like, I went into it with the expectations of that. You know what I mean?

00:08:18 - 00:08:19 | Speaker 4:

Janelle, what's up? It's Mojo in the morning.

00:08:20 - 00:08:20 | Speaker 2:

Hi, good morning.

00:08:21 - 00:08:22 | Speaker 4:

Good morning. What's going on?

00:08:23 - 00:08:37 | Speaker 1:

I think that you can't... I agree with Kevin. If you don't want to change the dynamic of the friend group, it's fine. I don't know. I think if you're all adults or act like adults, it should be fine. It shouldn't really cause any issues.

00:08:37 - 00:08:42 | Speaker 4:

So it's okay to F in the friend group then? It's okay for these guys to fool around with each other?

00:08:43 - 00:08:51 | Speaker 1:

I'd say yes. My friend group had people that dated each other that didn't work out, but were also friends. So I guess it just depends.

00:08:51 - 00:09:06 | Speaker 4:

Do you have to say, and I don't know if any people have experienced this at all. If you have, I want to hear your personal experience. But do you have to sit there and say before you have sex, which would be weird, this can't change our dynamic of the friend group or afterwards?

00:09:07 - 00:09:09 | Speaker 2:

Which is funny because we did have it. Did you?

00:09:09 - 00:09:10 | Speaker 4:

Okay.

00:09:10 - 00:09:11 | Speaker 2:

Did you mention it?

00:09:11 - 00:09:13 | Speaker 1:

I think if you mention that, that might make it weird.

00:09:14 - 00:09:21 | Speaker 4:

Texter just texted in, 734 says, Megan, have you talked to him since you guys did this? No. Wow. Okay.

00:09:21 - 00:09:33 | Speaker 3:

Again, none of my business. See, the weird thing is this is kind of the perfect situation where even though you're in the same friend group, you guys don't see each other all the time. I know. So it's like, how could it get weird if you don't even see each other?

00:09:33 - 00:09:48 | Speaker 2:

Sam, this could have been best case scenario. Yeah, this is perfect. This could have been infrequent, like quarterly check-ins. Yeah. This is how you doing? Yes. let's have some fun see you in three months I don't know because he's now ruining the friend group like because of his actions now everybody's pissed

00:09:48 - 00:09:49 | Speaker 4:

Gabrielle hi

00:09:49 - 00:09:57 | Speaker 2:

hey I think you ruined the friend group how did I do it shut your door put your seatbelt on well you guys ruined it together

00:09:57 - 00:09:59 | Speaker 1:

because there's 50 million people in the world

00:10:00 - 00:10:08 | Speaker 7:

50 million people in the world and so now there's this awkward dynamic or no dynamic at all really is what it sounds like

00:10:08 - 00:10:18 | Speaker 6:

but nobody cares that we hooked up that's not the problem the problem is he made it weird and didn't show up the next day so that's why we should have picked someone else to do it

00:10:18 - 00:10:19 | Speaker 4:

why is that my fault

00:10:19 - 00:10:29 | Speaker 7:

I showed up that's true and we know sometimes we can be a little bit stronger than they can if they're a little weak so why are you blaming me for his He's weak behavior.

00:10:30 - 00:10:31 | Speaker 4:

I think she's blaming both.

00:10:31 - 00:10:33 | Speaker 6:

The smart, intellectual woman.

00:10:35 - 00:10:35 | Speaker 4:

Hey.

00:10:35 - 00:10:38 | Speaker 6:

I am not taking the fall for a dumbass man.

00:10:38 - 00:10:46 | Speaker 4:

Gabrielle, this is giving Megan some great stripes and props because she put it on so great that this guy couldn't show up the next morning.

00:10:46 - 00:10:46 | Speaker 6:

He disappeared.

00:10:47 - 00:10:49 | Speaker 7:

Wrecked him. Exactly. Exactly. He's too tired.

00:10:50 - 00:10:51 | Speaker 4:

Are we sure he's alive?

00:10:51 - 00:10:52 | Speaker 7:

And so he proved his weakness. Nope.

00:10:53 - 00:10:56 | Speaker 1:

He's still in the bed. Wow.

00:10:56 - 00:10:58 | Speaker 4:

Lily what's happening

00:10:58 - 00:11:03 | Speaker 6:

Again not my problem First time long time

00:11:03 - 00:11:05 | Speaker 4:

Hey first time long time

00:11:05 - 00:12:22 | Speaker 7:

Nice to have you on So I'm so glad to be on I'm on my way to work right now So I met my best friend Through work And her husband's Best friend Was in a Like eight year long relationship before this um and there's like a whole bunch of details and everything with that but um we met at her son's birthday party and he thought i was cute um and so we started talking and then we dated for like two months and then he totally ghosted me and everyone in the front group now that we're working back together like we we're working together now yeah all of us and now is just super awkward and he doesn't even want to talk to us oh geez do you feel like you ruined the friend group or he ruined the friend group i definitely think that he ruined it to be honest um i have no like hard feelings or anything but he said that he wanted to make amends with everyone since he ghosted everyone yeah and he like just now did that and we broke up in like February.

00:12:23 - 00:12:29 | Speaker 4:

This is interesting. So it's almost a similar thing that Megan had happen to her. Whitney, you also had a situation like this too, huh?

00:12:30 - 00:12:30 | Unknown:

Yeah, I did.

00:12:31 - 00:12:32 | Speaker 4:

Oh, your phone's bad there. Are you there?

00:12:34 - 00:12:53 | Speaker 5:

Hold on. Yeah, I did. About 15 years ago, one of my female friends and a couple of my husband's friends at different times, they all, you know, everybody needs to make cookies, you know? So they all hooked up. And our wedding was perfect. They all got a lot. All their spouses were there. So, we didn't make anything awkward.

00:12:53 - 00:12:56 | Speaker 4:

Yeah. So, it actually was not a bad situation then?

00:12:57 - 00:12:59 | Speaker 5:

No, it still isn't. We still have parties and everything.

00:12:59 - 00:13:04 | Speaker 4:

Well, that's what normal adults do. This guy, obviously, is not a normal adult. Adrian, what's up?

00:13:05 - 00:13:21 | Speaker 2:

Good morning, guys. Megan, you homewrecker you. I've spent my life. I'm just speaking from experience. I don't know what's going on with her friends or whatnot. I bet he's seen one of the friends that's in the group since Megan moved out of there.

00:13:21 - 00:13:22 | Speaker 4:

Whoa.

00:13:22 - 00:13:24 | Speaker 2:

He's not a part of the friend group anymore.

00:13:24 - 00:13:31 | Speaker 4:

So you're thinking that now that he had his fun with Megan, that there may be something in the past that he might have had with the other people?

00:13:31 - 00:13:32 | Speaker 6:

I don't know.

00:13:32 - 00:13:34 | Speaker 4:

Did anybody act awkward at all in that friend group?

00:13:34 - 00:13:57 | Speaker 6:

No, nobody acted awkward, and everybody knew what had happened before it had happened because I am a good friend, and I cleared the situation room with everybody. Good. we had a debriefing before any action was made yeah but so everything everything is good i like that some people might say i seeked counsel okay yeah just to make sure yeah good so you have no

00:13:57 - 00:14:04 | Speaker 4:

yeah no bad feelings right now your conscience is clear no caitlin what's up hey so i'm thinking

00:14:04 - 00:14:27 | Speaker 8:

how do you even know he was gonna like show up even if him and megan didn't like he just might be a rude guy anyways why is it her like it's not her responsibility for his poor choices. So, like, I don't understand why people are trying to put the blame on both of them when, like, if they both went into it, you're both adults, it's good to go. It's his choice for not showing up. It's not Megan's fault.

00:14:27 - 00:14:33 | Speaker 4:

Thank you. This, by the way, is the best second date update we've had in a while. Maybe we'll get him back on the phone with us.
