Hey everyone, it's the Jonas Brothers. This week on the podcast, hey Jonas, we're hanging out with Michael Buble. After Kevin's recent interesting confession about Michael.

00:01:20 - 00:01:26 | Speaker 6:

We figured there's only one thing to do. We must invite Michael Buble on the podcast and we want to know what's on his sexy time playlist.

00:01:26 - 00:01:42 | Speaker 7:

You know, I did an interview and they're like, have you heard about this Jonas Brothers thing? And they're like, what did you think of it? And I was like, well, I mean, it's reciprocal. We talk about Kevin's confession, Michael's reaction, and a whole lot more. Our conversation with Michael Buble is out now. Listen to Hey Jonas on the iHeartRadio app, Apple Podcasts, or wherever you get your podcasts.

I'm Mange Shatikular and I'm back with a new season of my podcast, Skyline Drive. This time I talk to scientists, biopunks, curmudgeons, blues owners, super seniors, and Goa's top cryotherapy lab to try to understand this obsession with living forever and what it means for all of us. And I get into a bit of trouble along the way.

00:02:01 - 00:02:07 | Speaker 9:

I'd say probably start bone smashing. That doesn't work. Make it look more defined. They say it works. I don't know.

Listen to Skyline Drive, How to Live Forever on the iHeartRadio app, Apple Podcasts, or wherever you get your podcasts.

All right, Mojo on the morning show. What should we get to next? Oh, you know what? Spike, we just talked about Second Date Update. uh spike's got to tell us the the story about what you witnessed of a table that was right by you guys were people sitting at a bar i don't know where you guys were yeah i was sitting at

00:02:31 - 00:04:35 | Speaker 8:

the bar okay uh friday night and a couple sat next to me and i just witnessed a date crash and burn i was like oh my gosh this is i felt like a national geographic jane goodall with the apes I'm watching, I'm sitting here in the natural environment, watching these people like it was a TV show. And I was just fascinated because I couldn't not be involved in their date because this woman that sat next to me was the loudest talker ever. And she was so animated and never stopped talking like she, I felt bad for the dude because he said like one sentence the whole date and I'm watching and she's, she's sitting down, she's taught. And I thought some people, you know, on a date, they talk because they're nervous. She talked and talked and talked. And eventually, this dude went to the restroom and he didn't come back. He actually left the girl mid-date. It was so bad. So, I mean, it was obvious they weren't hitting it off. But they were sitting right next to me. She starts talking about how she knew the bartenders and the whole staff. She kept calling them over to talk to her. She's like bragging, like, I know them. They all know me here. Yeah, they know me. calling the bartender over hey what's that what's that one tequila called you told me about and which you know can you put um the chipotle on this or that or like she was like she was constantly bothering the staff to try and prove that she knew them to the point where i was thinking lady now i think you have an alcohol problem you sit at this bar like five nights a week but she was talking to them non-stop trying to impress him is this really odd eventually dude goes to the bathroom A few minutes later, bartender came over, told the girl, the guy paid for the tab and apologized for leaving, and he left. He ditched her. Oh, no. Mid-date. Oh, poor girl. Yeah. And she was just like, what? Wait, so where is he? And the bartender's, like, reiterating. He said he was leaving. He paid for the date, and he said, I'm sorry. He was at least nice enough to pay for the date. Oh, my gosh. He just ditched her. I felt bad, but I also understood she was really annoying.

00:04:36 - 00:04:37 | Speaker 2:

Yeah, but.

00:04:37 - 00:04:53 | Speaker 8:

I felt bad, though. But he literally, when they sat down, he was like, well, he was like, oh, geez, coming back to town. It's been so long. I forgot how cold Detroit can be until I flew in. And that was literally the only sentence he said for 20 minutes.

00:04:53 - 00:05:00 | Speaker 2:

When I am out and I realize that a couple is on their first date, like Wes will tell you this. I, I, I.

00:05:00 - 00:05:48 | Speaker 5:

pay no attention to Wes yeah I am so vested in what's happening and a couple of months ago we were at a restaurant in Rochester and we always like to sit at the bar if we can and eat and there was a couple that was very clearly we heard them talk about it on their first date that was sitting right next to us it was me then Wes then this girl and then the guy and they were like kind of around the corner so we had full access to like their body language everything they were saying and at one point i would say maybe like 40 minutes in they had gotten done talking they were both on their phones and didn't say a word to each other for the rest of the day and i thought well that didn't that that's a sign that that didn't go well are you sure that it wasn't chelsea and i out on a date with each other they very clearly said that they were on a you know to each other acknowledged that it was a first date it was our first time meeting each other and i thought that

00:05:48 - 00:06:14 | Speaker 2:

can't be good they're both just in their phones you know what the problem is with um putting your goals slash resolutions out on tape or on, on, uh, in print, Chelsea has been giving me crap over the fact that I've been still on my phone as much as I've always been. Cause remember I put my goals out like last week and I told you this thing. So we've got gone out before and she's like, um, didn't you say that you were not going to be on your electronics? Cause you said,

00:06:14 - 00:06:17 | Speaker 1:

I'm going to hold myself accountable. I'm going to put them on social media, but you didn't realize

00:06:17 - 00:06:29 | Speaker 2:

she was also going to hold you accountable. I, I, I know real quick KP, I was thinking about this with the second date update what a novel idea to date on just facetime yeah can i do that with my

00:06:29 - 00:06:34 | Speaker 5:

wife can we just be on just facetime together they didn't live in the same i'm joking i know

00:06:34 - 00:06:39 | Speaker 2:

you're joking go ahead kp what were you gonna say this actually is really funny in new york when i

00:06:39 - 00:07:14 | Speaker 4:

was visiting my friend lindsey we did something really funny we there was this girl in the elevator we were going up to like this rooftop bar and i i instantly knew i said are you on a first date are you going to a first date because she was alone and she was dressed up really nice and she's like yeah i am i am i have a hinge date tonight i'm like oh my gosh good luck we get sat right next to them literally right like eye contact me and lindsey ordered them a cake and didn't say anything we watched the waiter go up with the cake and just set it down in front of them and they just shared this little tiramisu together and it was the cutest thing and i hope

00:07:14 - 00:07:31 | Speaker 1:

there are a couple now so fun first date neither of them left mid-date did they no that was a good that was a positive day but has that ever happened anyone listening because i mean they leave oh especially after she made such a big presentation with the whole staff realizing they're on this

00:07:31 - 00:07:42 | Speaker 4:

date honestly it's so awkward though if it was a bad date and i got them that cake they would have had to sit through that right honestly i i kind of after your description of what this girl

00:07:42 - 00:07:52 | Speaker 2:

was doing. I'm not going to give the guy crap. You know what? She sounded like she was annoying. Yeah, she wasn't letting him talk. I know, but you have to finish up the date. No.

00:07:53 - 00:07:56 | Speaker 5:

You love a good Irish goodbye. I know you do over there.

00:07:57 - 00:08:02 | Speaker 2:

But you can't do that. He did a spectacular one because she didn't even realize until the bartender said

00:08:02 - 00:08:14 | Speaker 1:

something. Yeah, but maybe he should have left her a note so it was a learning experience and say, sorry I had to leave. You didn't let me talk or something to help her improve her game for next date because she didn't learn She's going to be that way the next time.

00:08:14 - 00:08:25 | Speaker 2:

How many times have people actually gone out on dates and the guy doesn't even pay for it? Oh, my God. Did Ellen tell you the story, Megan, about her date last week?

00:08:26 - 00:08:28 | Speaker 3:

Yeah, Mike and I talked about it on the Slightly Messy show.

00:08:28 - 00:08:35 | Speaker 2:

Okay, you did. Okay, so I talked to our old producer, Ellen. And she's, by the way, it sounds like her dating life's gotten a lot better in Chicago.

00:08:35 - 00:08:38 | Speaker 3:

Oh, she's living her best life.

00:08:38 - 00:09:11 | Speaker 2:

Don't anybody else move to Chicago just because they want to go out there dating. So she told me a story about how she went on this date with this guy, and he said to her, can we split the bill? And they split the bill, and then they left, and he still wanted a kiss. And the question that she asked was, if you're going to go in for a kiss, shouldn't you at least pay for the whole amount? And I thought to myself, absolutely. You should. Yeah.

00:09:11 - 00:09:13 | Speaker 1:

Would have been a better look I don't

00:09:13 - 00:09:16 | Speaker 5:

Yeah I was going to say It would have been a better look But I don't know that I agree

00:09:16 - 00:09:30 | Speaker 2:

Ah stand tall You're not buying the kiss Ladies don't put a dime down on the table If the guy Until you know what's going on And if the guy goes in for a kiss Say you can kiss my ass That's what you can kiss

00:09:30 - 00:09:31 | Speaker 1:

You paid 50% You only get a hug

00:09:31 - 00:09:32 | Speaker 4:

Yeah

00:09:32 - 00:09:34 | Speaker 1:

That's actually a good idea Right

00:09:34 - 00:09:36 | Speaker 4:

You can kiss all my ass Okay

00:09:36 - 00:09:43 | Speaker 2:

What did people So when you did this On the Slightly Messy podcast What have people messaged you guys about that?

00:09:43 - 00:09:59 | Speaker 3:

Well, it was really torn up because we live in this world now where is the guy trying to be like very respectful and not try to go by gender norms and be like we are equals or is this just.

00:10:00 - 00:10:06 | Speaker 4:

He wasn't that interested in seeing if he could still get lucky without putting in much effort. Like, there was so many different ways.

00:10:06 - 00:10:10 | Speaker 6:

He's cheap. He is cheap. Yeah. What's up, Candice?

00:10:11 - 00:10:56 | Speaker 1:

Hi. Yeah, I have a comment. I was the one that left during her first date. Like, it was, like, maybe 15 minutes into the first date. Oh, wow. Oh, my gosh. Why? So, we actually met, like, during foster. Like, we were taking foster classes. And he asked me how. He's, like, from Africa. he's a straight foreigner which he was really nice though right and then he was showing me something on his phone and these text messages from another woman were coming through and i was like kissy face emojis and things like that i should have called him out for it he's like oh no no it's not like that it's not like that i was like it you just showed me it's like that though right yeah yeah screw him so that lasted about 15 minutes i straight up as soon as i seen the next set of messages i was like i'm just gonna go and i just got up and left yeah see ya good idea That was a good idea.

00:10:56 - 00:11:05 | Speaker 6:

Hey, Candace, if a guy split the bill with you on a date and still went in for a kiss at the end of the date when he was saying goodbye, would you give him a kiss or would you not?

00:11:06 - 00:11:11 | Speaker 1:

It depends on the chemistry if he was, like, cute enough, too. It's just the chemistry.

00:11:11 - 00:11:15 | Speaker 6:

Okay. This guy must have been ugly. What's up, Rebecca?

00:11:17 - 00:11:17 | Speaker 1:

Hey, Mojo.

00:11:18 - 00:11:18 | Speaker 2:

Hi, guys.

00:11:18 - 00:11:20 | Speaker 6:

Hey, what's up? Oh, thank you.

00:11:20 - 00:11:46 | Speaker 2:

Yeah, I was just telling KB that I witnessed a really bad first date. My husband and I, a couple months ago, were at our local bar. We go there all the time. We know the bartenders. And I noticed right away, I'm in HR, so I noticed people right away. My husband's completely oblivious. But this guy was, like, sloppy drunk, couldn't sit on the bar stool. Like, his date was, like, trying to reassure him. Like, because the bartender was trying to cut him off. So he was getting, like, really combative.

00:11:47 - 00:11:47 | Speaker 1:

Oh, God.

00:11:48 - 00:11:53 | Speaker 2:

Argumentative. And then, like, he all of a sudden switched to, like, really weepy and apologetic with her.

00:11:54 - 00:11:57 | Speaker 6:

Oh, he's one of those. He's a crying drunk.

00:11:58 - 00:12:11 | Speaker 2:

Right. Then they finally cut him off, and they, like, they part ways. And the reason I know it was the first date is because she came back. Like, they left together, but I'm really hoping he didn't drive home. But she immediately, like, came back and ordered another drink for herself. Wow.

00:12:11 - 00:12:12 | Unknown:

Wow.

00:12:12 - 00:12:17 | Speaker 6:

Maybe she put him, she tucked him in, put him in an Uber and tucked him in the backseat.

00:12:17 - 00:12:18 | Speaker 1:

Good for her, by the way.

00:12:18 - 00:12:26 | Speaker 2:

really funny like we had 10 minutes later she comes back and she's on the bartender oh my god i'm so sorry he must and he's like yeah he came in like that so he must have like three games

00:12:26 - 00:12:29 | Speaker 6:

i would have bought her her drink just for the fact that you know

00:12:29 - 00:12:33 | Speaker 2:

i felt that though because my husband and i'm like oh dinner and a movie

00:12:33 - 00:13:09 | Speaker 6:

i'm like you guys and i'm like you too i notice everything but chelsea also does too and we just sit there and it's funny because we'll go on a date and talk to each other for like a you know I don't know, say it's an hour date that we're out with each other, our dinner we'll talk to each other for like 20 minutes and then the rest of the time we're just sitting there observing everybody else and then we're playing Johnny Darer, our buddy's old game of of Judgmental Bastard where we basically will say what each other, you know, what we think each person in the bar you know, is all about

00:13:09 - 00:13:27 | Speaker 2:

so we kind of, like I said, I'm really good at like reading lips and like reading body language and my husband's completely oblivious but being in human resources for as long as I have been, I noticed right away, okay, something is not right here. I can see like the cues from each other. And I was just like, wait, what's going on? Maybe it's not feeling well. I'm like, no, this is different. I didn't realize that that's

00:13:27 - 00:13:35 | Speaker 6:

a human resources type of skill because we don't have a human resources department. We talk to a

00:13:35 - 00:13:49 | Speaker 2:

computer basically here. Yeah. I mean, I do a lot of like employee investigations. So yeah, I could be on the radio for a long time. All the things that I've, like, tried to get to the bottom of, and you really have to, like, okay, what is this person telling you but not telling you at the same time.

00:13:49 - 00:14:19 | Speaker 4:

Thanks for the call, Rebecca. I appreciate it. They've taken over cities before, but this July, they're bringing the X Games League Championship home to New Orleans.
