Alright, it is Mojo in the morning show. Back in the day, back in the day of Little Shannon. Little Shannon? I've always been little unfortunately shannon did never never disliked the guy that had a guitar for some reason she always dated band guys she was the band girl i had no idea were you a groupie or

00:01:40 - 00:03:32 | Speaker 6:

you just were attracted to guys no i mean i was attracted to guys wearing skinny jeans and uh being being in this business as well a lot a lot more so back in the day than now like bands would come in or we would be everybody would be hanging out backstage at concerts so i was just around you know yeah and always had crushes on band guys which is don't do it um but so i my my stepson kieran i love his taste in music right now because he's a senior in high school and he um he loves all of the bands that i loved back in the day when the vans warp tour was like a really big thing so like fall like he's super into fallout boy and you know all these all these bands so he's where he's always sharing like oh do you remember this band do you remember this band or the music that i can hear him playing in his bedroom is something that i used to love so i'm i'm kind of loving this genre or era of music whatever that that he is into right now however he walked up the stairs his bedroom's downstairs he walked up the stairs the other day and he goes shannon have you ever heard of the band Reliant K? They're so good. I almost fell over because I was engaged to the lead singer of the band Reliant K. And he didn't know that. So he's talking to me about this band and I'm like, I gotta stop them. Wes is sitting at the kitchen table doing some work and I just see his eyes look up to see how I'm gonna respond to this conversation. And so I stopped him and I told him not the whole story but like a good chunk of the story and he was like wait, did he write songs about you? Are there songs that I listen to? Oh yeah. And then he quickly retreated back to his bedroom. I told Wes, I'm like I know he's down there listening to all the songs. Trying to figure out which ones.

00:03:32 - 00:03:33 | Speaker 5:

So Wes already knew this though.

00:03:33 - 00:03:34 | Speaker 6:

Oh God, yeah.

00:03:35 - 00:03:36 | Speaker 5:

We gotta play some of these songs.

00:03:37 - 00:03:53 | Speaker 6:

Dude, I remember the first time I heard this. Isn't that funny? My way home from work, I turned on all the songs and I was like, oh Shanda. but the fact that now that's like on his list of quote unquote you know bands that he likes I'm like damn it

00:03:53 - 00:03:57 | Speaker 5:

you dated a guy from what was that band Sister Hazel

00:03:57 - 00:03:58 | Speaker 6:

I was fragile

00:03:58 - 00:04:13 | Speaker 5:

and I love that song they actually have a lot of songs all for you anytime that song comes on anytime that song comes on I go another song I can't like because Shannon dated one of the guys in the band

00:04:13 - 00:04:15 | Speaker 6:

you actually met him

00:04:15 - 00:04:32 | Speaker 5:

I never met the ex-fiance you started on the show right after your wedding was called off but it's interesting because I never knew that band because the stations I was on never really played that band

00:04:32 - 00:04:35 | Speaker 6:

and that's how I met him, the station I was on did play their music

00:04:35 - 00:04:59 | Speaker 5:

but I couldn't believe how many people when I was going to like Kensington for church and stuff that were like fans of that band because they were kind of a religious rock band. They were. Very much so. And I'm like, that guy ain't so religious from the story she had told me. I know. Let the past be the past. That guy doesn't sound like he really cares that much about the Holy Spirit. My youth group wanted to see that. Unless that's her name. I swear to God. He had a different hand on.

00:05:00 - 00:05:02 | Speaker 4:

All right, all right, all right, all right, all right.

00:05:02 - 00:05:06 | Speaker 9:

So did he talk to you at all? Like, did he talk to you?

00:05:06 - 00:05:10 | Speaker 4:

He has not talked to me about it since. Yeah. Like, since I said, oh, you know, this song and this song and this song.

00:05:10 - 00:05:15 | Speaker 8:

What are you going to do when you just catch them around the house singing? Singing lyrics to songs that are about you?

00:05:15 - 00:05:22 | Speaker 4:

Sing along. I liked the band. I still like the band. I liked their songs. I'm not going to poo-poo on their songs.

00:05:22 - 00:05:32 | Speaker 9:

Do Lucy Air Smith ever ask you questions about seeing your old boyfriends? because my kids have asked questions about like chelsea and i and our our dating life before

00:05:32 - 00:05:54 | Speaker 4:

lucy's very interested she's she is now entering that phase where she's very curious about things or if i make a comment about an ex or something yeah or like uh she's very curious specifically about like who i dated in high school and i dated the same guy all through high school and college but i think that's mainly because my mom is still best friends with his mom so like he's talked

00:05:54 - 00:06:01 | Speaker 9:

about sometimes you know but yeah has josiah ever asked you about uh any girl that you dated like in

00:06:01 - 00:06:10 | Speaker 8:

in school i mean i tell josiah everything unsolicited i told him i was on tinder the other day really yeah and showed him how the app worked really really he's asking about how i matched with

00:06:10 - 00:06:23 | Speaker 9:

melinda my sister i was like oh you want to know here it goes did you you show him ever pictures because it's funny like my kids will ask questions about the girls that i went to school with and then they'll go they always have to do this too which i think is cute they'll just go mom is so

00:06:23 - 00:06:45 | Speaker 8:

much hotter i'm like that girl was 13 in that picture yeah joe does that a lot too he compares everybody but nobody looks better than his mom he thinks i should always be that way side note warp tour they're coming back this year you should go with like that would be a cool thing they don't make the announcement until january 27th yeah hannah what's going on hannah oh my god

00:06:45 - 00:07:13 | Speaker 6:

i'd die hi good morning guys good morning so i just moved back to michigan after living in san francisco for a few years so i definitely had my phase of dating like the professional athletes wrestlers band members you name it um so i was on a date with a guy about two weeks ago we were driving to get dinner and suddenly he plays a song that um was written by my ex-boyfriend and his band.

00:07:13 - 00:07:14 | Speaker 9:

Oh, no.

00:07:14 - 00:07:31 | Speaker 6:

Of course, I have this, like, muscle memory. I'm like, I have a reaction, a visceral reaction to him playing his song, and he's like, what's going on? What's going on? And I'm like, oh, I know this person, but he's in no detail. No detail. Yeah.

00:07:31 - 00:07:32 | Speaker 9:

Oh, my God. Oh, yeah.

00:07:33 - 00:07:34 | Speaker 6:

What was the band?

00:07:35 - 00:07:38 | Speaker 9:

Yeah. Would it be a band that we would know? Would we know?

00:07:40 - 00:07:53 | Speaker 6:

Yeah. Yeah, so it's a band called the Mowgli's. I think they're more popular on the West Coast, but they have a song called San Francisco. Yeah. That was super popular. We're still friends, but he doesn't need to know that.

00:07:56 - 00:08:04 | Speaker 9:

I do think it's all based on your reaction, because if you don't say anything at all, he's obviously never going to know. But it's good that you bring it out to him and tell him about it.

00:08:05 - 00:08:05 | Speaker 7:

Yeah.

00:08:05 - 00:08:07 | Speaker 9:

Thanks for the call. Hey, Teresa.

00:08:09 - 00:08:22 | Speaker 7:

Hi. Hi, first time, long time. Hey, everybody. It's a big time. Woo! So, I need to know these songs, the names that he wrote for Shannon.

00:08:23 - 00:08:28 | Speaker 4:

Oh, you can send me a DM. I'm not going to say them out loud. I don't want everybody listening to them all day today. Don't promote his music.

00:08:29 - 00:08:32 | Speaker 8:

Yeah. Yes. The guy. Why?

00:08:32 - 00:08:39 | Speaker 4:

No, it's, it's, I. Did you know what he did? Andy, man. No, I don't want to talk. I don't want to revisit. We can revisit off the air. But DM me, I'll tell you.

00:08:40 - 00:08:42 | Speaker 9:

Yeah. Perfect.

00:08:42 - 00:08:42 | Speaker 4:

Will do.

00:08:43 - 00:08:51 | Speaker 9:

We'll see you. Take care of yourself. Fall Out Boy. Listen to Fall Out Boy. I love Fall Out Boy. Dance, dance. Exactly.

00:08:51 - 00:09:19 | Speaker 3:
