Oh my gosh, I love her

The thing that's funny For those who don't know who Lydia is Lydia is one of our producers here Associate producer of the show She also is director of our Breaking and Entering Christmas Wish And helps us with so many great things She works in our promotions team here. She's got like a million different ads that she has. But most importantly with Lydia, Lydia has the greatest parents in the world. But she wants to call out her mom for something that I guarantee you as one of our listeners, you do. And Lydia thinks it's rude. What is it, Lydia?

It's so rude. So me and my mom were shopping at Target a couple of days ago. And as we were leaving, you know, we were putting the groceries in the car together. and I kind of gave her the reins on taking the cart back to the cart rack. She was pushing the cart. I got in the car. I'm watching her and I'm seeing her lift the cart up on a curb. And I'm like, what is she doing? What is she doing? So I rolled down the window and I'm like, you're going to put that back, right? And she's like, no, it's fine. They can put it back. And I'm like, mom, that is so rude. She's like, no, it's not. She gets in the car and then I get out of the car and put the cart back myself. Good for you. I felt so bad.

Good for you. First off, I got a lot of things I need to say to this thing.

Okay.

Number one.

Tell me you put the cart back.

No, number one. Why are you making your mom have to put the cart back in the rack? I didn't even think about that. You have younger legs.

That's true. That is true.

You should be doing it. Hold on. Lydia's mom's on the phone with us right now. Wow. I can't believe she would call you out on national radio.

I am disappointed in you, mom. Wait, what? Oh, mom. Wow, you are one of those people.

She is not going to let this go. No, I'm not. She was so nervous when I told her I told you guys. She was so nervous. She's like, they're going to think I'm a bad person.

Look how she positioned it up on the curb.

You know what, though? I give you credit on this. As a nice human being, you could have just left it in a spot where a person would get dinged in their car.

It took more effort to get it on the curb than it would have to just push it into the cart corral.

Right. She literally pitched it up there with her foot. Like, you know, she just had it all up on there.

All right. Are you done, Lydia? because now it's my turn okay yeah go you go your turn okay so i saw a lady in a car that was getting ready to turn and park like kind of right next to us so i took the cart put it on the corner of the curb stuck it in the grass and said Because Lydia, she will go grab that cart and walk right into Target. She'll be fine. She's not going to go walk down to the carousel to go get her shopping cart.

So you were just trying to grab a fresh cart inside the store. You were just trying to be nice and give her a new cart. Mom. Thank you, Mom. Come on. You know what I love, by the way? My favorite people are the people who will see you with the cart, and as you're going to the cart corral will go, you know what? I'll take that up for you. And I'm like, oh, you are the sweetest, kindest people ever. That is so nice. I blame that woman for not walking by you And saying can I take that cart up for you

Right You just want Doma That is why you're sucking up to her

Stuff like that makes me feel bad Like that's someone's job Now they're going to have to play a cart game Across the parking lot

Lydia's mom recently made my family A big pot of Doma Which is like stuffed grape leaves and things

I didn't get any which is why I am not defending you

We aided for weeks I'm never going to tell her that she's done anything wrong She's my favorite Spencer wants to say something. What's that, Spencer?

Oh, boy. Yeah, Lydia, you need to respect your elder. At least she put it up on the curb so it didn't roll into a car. I would have left it in the middle of the parking spot.

That's true.

That is true. She actually was kind enough to make sure that, you know, everything was safe, right? And I was looking at where you put it. Spencer, from the picture, it was just next to the first parking spot. Is that your car right in the first parking spot?

Way to get a first spot at Target. That's unbelievable. And I also will notice this, too. It was nighttime, which means it's dark. And for safety reasons, do you want your mom to get carjacked in a parking lot of a Target?

I could see the car wreck. Like I said, it was five steps. I could have easily jumped out of the car and rescued her if she needed it.

Lacey, what's up? It's Mojo in the morning. Hold on, Mom, real quick. Let me grab Lacey, and then I'll let you speak to Lydia. You got to give it to her, okay? But you're not, by the way, young lady. I'm talking not to you, Lacey. I'm talking to Lydia. You're never too old to get punished by your mom. Go ahead, Lacey.

Yeah, I do what you said. I take carts from people and pick them up with me. And when I go to Total Wine, because they're always so attended, I go in there and pick up orders for DoorDash. I go to the Corral, grab a whole line of them, and pick them in with me.

Yeah, so I worked at a grocery store And while I was in there I watched not once but twice Someone not put their cart back And then hit my car With the cart Because it rolled down the parking lot And hit my car Not once but twice

How did you get through on the phone line? That's not nice We were making Lydia look bad on this one Now you just made Lydia's mom look bad What's up, Amanda?

For some of the workers That's the only breaks they get is to go out and get carts. They get away from the register or stocking. They need some fresh air, so some of them don't mind going out and getting carts.

I'm taking it that you are a person that leaves your cart right in the middle of the parking space that I really want.

No, I take one in, and then I leave it off to the side, but I'm done. But I've been told, I've worked at a lot of retail stores and grocery stores, and I know a lot of people, and sometimes it's the only break they can get is if they need to go out and get carts.

See that?

Well, either way, they have to go get carts because they have to go get them in the corral and bring them in.

But they like to also go out there and have a cigarette, too, every now and again. See, the mom is doing the Lord's work, really. That's right. Always. All right, Lydia, be nice to your mom. You want to say goodbye to her, tell her you love her or anything?

We love you. Smart-ass daughter. I thought only sons were like this. I didn't realize daughters were so mouthy with their parents.
