It's Mojo in the Morning Show. Yesterday I had a frantic day. Frantic because I had a few things here at the radio station to take care of. And then I got the alert on my phone. I got the alert from FedEx that a package was going to be delivered to my house. And I can talk about this now because of what happened. But it was a package that I did not want Chelsea to see. not that it was for her it was for me it was what was it chelsea uh chelsea my wife and i have this thing now with each other where um i have never ever told her like you know you can't buy this but i have said hey maybe we need to slow down on this and she has done the same with me chelsea thinks that i have been over ordering and buying golf clothes and as you guys can tell that i it's pretty much like all I'll wear usually is like golf shirts and stuff you know golf uh you know quarter zips and things like that so I found something that I was like oh my god I really like this I actually really like the thing and she has to do this I don't know if you ever have to do this with your fiancee Wes or you know if Kev your girlfriend uh Sherelle does this with you or Mike Allie does this with you your wife Chelsea has said to me all your clothes look the same she's like everything looks the same and you're you're overspending and I'm a guy that does this because I'm a bigger dude. If I find something that fits and I feel like I look good in, I buy every color that they have of it.

00:03:46 - 00:03:46 | Speaker 2:

Yeah.

00:03:47 - 00:04:39 | Speaker 4:

And so yesterday I actually put an order in, or not yesterday, but a few days ago. And I knew that because I have the FedEx tracker thing on my phone where it texts me and tells me when they're coming. And I saw that they were going to be delivering between 12 and 2. So I had to race out of the studios here. I had to get home to get that package before Chelsea could see it. Well, FedEx screwed me. I show up at home at 11-something or another. I walk in the house. Chelsea is not home because I knew she was going to be out for the afternoon. They delivered it at 9 a.m. What? They finally had fast delivery, and it came early, and they delivered it. And the reason I knew that it was delivered was Chelsea had opened the box and laid everything out nicely for me so that I could see the thing.

00:04:39 - 00:04:42 | Speaker 2:

And also to say, you are busted, my friend.

00:04:42 - 00:04:59 | Speaker 4:

Right, yes, busted. You're busted for that one. What was it, the one drop? You're busted. I think we have that drop that plays in one of our sweepers from time to time. So I got completely screwed on this one. And I was having a conversation with a...

00:05:00 - 00:06:08 | Speaker 2:

neighbor friend of mine who told me, and I didn't realize this, that my wife Chelsea will do this from time to time. You know, she will order things and she's not afraid to order what she wants to order. I mean, obviously I don't think I am too, but you don't want each other to know that you did this. So she will actually have our neighbor Brit go to the house and get packages that are delivered when chelsea's not home knowing that it will make me upset over the fact that there's like a pat another pat couple like five or six packages that get delivered i'm telling you i know our ups driver's name i know kind of our fedex driver's name and honestly i've seen the same faces that are amazon delivery people which you should not know your amazon people because amazon's 8 000 of those people you know yeah so they come delivered to your house I wanted to ask this question Are there any other listeners Or any of you guys That have ever had to hide your packages You know, you've heard the old Hide your wife, hide your kids Hide your purchases

00:06:08 - 00:06:21 | Speaker 5:

Hide your packages I used to have a doormat when I was married That said, please hide packages from my husband So it was right on there It was always there Nobody played along They thought it was funny, but nobody played along

00:06:21 - 00:06:24 | Speaker 2:

They call this financial infidelity, by the way. Did you know that?

00:06:24 - 00:06:47 | Speaker 3:

Yeah. This happens with Sherelle. She doesn't hide the packages, but she shops way too much. And she's color-coded her entire side of the closet. Her thing is blue jeans. She has like 35 pair of blue jeans. And I feel like they're all the same. So whenever she comes home, she's like trying to sneak shopping bags. So I don't say, oh, you're at the mall again? Yeah. Are there blue jeans in the bag?

00:06:47 - 00:06:52 | Speaker 2:

Actually, if you go in her closet, would you even know that a new pair was bought or purchased?

00:06:53 - 00:07:00 | Speaker 3:

I'm telling you, they're literally like 20 to 25 of the same blue jeans on it. They're taking up a whole little section. I'm exactly like that.

00:07:00 - 00:07:02 | Speaker 5:

I get this.

00:07:03 - 00:07:12 | Speaker 2:

I would love to know how do you hide your deliveries because I would love to find out somebody's little clues and tips that they do.

00:07:12 - 00:07:13 | Speaker 4:

Y'all are amateurs.

00:07:13 - 00:07:14 | Speaker 2:

What do you do?

00:07:14 - 00:07:24 | Speaker 4:

You send it to work. You leave it in your trunk, and then you get to bring it in whenever your significant other isn't there. I cannot talk today. What is happening?

00:07:25 - 00:07:33 | Speaker 2:

It's because you are spewing bad things for people. Actually, Megan, I can't do that here at the station because nobody's downstairs to get the packages.

00:07:33 - 00:07:35 | Speaker 4:

They won't just leave it. They'll leave it here.

00:07:35 - 00:08:29 | Speaker 2:

Yeah. Somebody will end up stealing it. It will go home with Tony Travato or something. Then he'll take my size 2X shirt home with him and, you know, I'll be seeing him wearing it to work the next day. Here are, by the way, the number one and most common things purchased by men and the most common purchased by women things that they hide from their spouse. For guys, electronic devices. Guys, other ones that are interesting. Alcohol, gambling stuff. These are purchases that they're spending money on that they don't want their spouse to know about. Hobby-related purchases like golf or, you know, fishing. And then fast food. That's what things that guys will hide. Here's women's. Clothing, gifts for friends, cosmetics, home decor, and then fast food is also on that list. I see that shoes actually got beat out by fast food.

00:08:29 - 00:08:59 | Speaker 5:

I will also say prices of stuff. Like my little sister, she shares my TJ Maxx HomeGoods Marshalls obsession. And sometimes you can find like designer, designer purses at like TJ's. And so she bought this great, great bag the other day. And she's like, I have it on the kitchen table. So when you come over and come in, she's like, if Ryan is home, just don't say anything about the bag being an expensive bag because he thinks it costs like $29. And I was like, OK, I got it. I got it.

00:08:59 - 00:09:01 | Speaker 2:

And you have to make sure you hide the receipts.

00:09:01 - 00:09:03 | Speaker 6:

Take off the tag. Hide the receipt.

00:09:03 - 00:09:04 | Speaker 2:

Kelsey, what's going on?

00:09:04 - 00:09:26 | Speaker 7:

hi i'm doing good um i'm doing good my mom actually still leave her shopping bags in her car until my dad's out of the house to bring them in yeah does she hide them like in the line does she hide them like underneath the spare tire that no she won't hide them my dad just won't go he has

00:09:26 - 00:09:44 | Speaker 2:

his own car so he just doesn't see them i remember my mom my mom used to do that she used to hide the stuff like the purchases in the car under the spare tire and then when you would get a shirt every now and again you'd get like a black grease mark or something on the thing what's up to get

00:09:44 - 00:10:01 | Speaker 1:

really good at it too you get one of those my q apps the amazon apps or whatever i have one of those on my garage door opener yeah like we've updated or whatever and i'm like oh i want that so you can open up the garage door when the amazon driver comes genius uh yeah and then put it right in though Drop it right in there and close the garage door.

00:10:01 - 00:10:03 | Speaker 2:

They'll never even see it. Vicki, what's going on?

00:10:04 - 00:10:07 | Speaker 7:

Hey, have you tried Amazon Lockers yet? Will you pick it up?

00:10:08 - 00:10:09 | Speaker 2:

Oh, I need to do that.

00:10:09 - 00:10:18 | Speaker 5:

My old apartment building had that in the lobby, and I didn't realize how light-changing it was going to be until I didn't have access to one anymore.

00:10:19 - 00:10:28 | Speaker 7:

What Amazon has done was at all sorts of different locations. So you just send it to whatever location you want and pick it up that night, the next morning.

00:10:29 - 00:10:37 | Speaker 2:

You know what I want? I want one of those, like, don't they have it at the UPS store or something like that? You can have your own mailbox or something there?

00:10:37 - 00:10:38 | Speaker 7:

Yes, you can do that, too.

00:10:39 - 00:10:44 | Speaker 2:

I want to have one of those where I just have to go to one of those places and just do my orders there. What's up, Daisy? How you doing?

00:10:45 - 00:10:46 | Speaker 7:

I'm good. How are you guys?

00:10:46 - 00:10:48 | Speaker 2:

Good. Where do you hide your purchase?

00:10:49 - 00:10:50 | Speaker 7:

My mom's house.

00:10:51 - 00:10:52 | Speaker 2:

Oh, that's a good idea.

00:10:52 - 00:10:55 | Speaker 7:

Yeah, it's one of the main perks of her living next door.

00:10:55 - 00:11:09 | Speaker 2:

That's where you have your friend If you have a good friend in the neighborhood That's even easier to go pick up You can do it that way Anytime you use in-laws Or in Shannon's case with your sister She could use yours Because you guys aren't that far from each other What's up Christine how you doing?

00:11:10 - 00:11:16 | Speaker 4:

Good my friend owns a boutique online And she puts in her packages Don't worry they won this

00:11:16 - 00:11:17 | Unknown:

Oh

00:11:17 - 00:11:21 | Speaker 4:

That is the smartest idea ever

00:11:21 - 00:11:23 | Speaker 5:

That is so great

00:11:23 - 00:11:27 | Speaker 2:

Does he ever catch on? I mean, I would think that that would be one of those things where you go.

00:11:27 - 00:11:32 | Speaker 5:

No, she's saying when she ships them out, she does that for her customers. Oh. So they can all just lie.

00:11:33 - 00:11:34 | Speaker 2:

Oh, okay. That's gross.

00:11:34 - 00:11:35 | Speaker 3:

That is so great.

00:11:35 - 00:11:37 | Speaker 2:

What's up, Dan? How you doing?

00:11:38 - 00:11:55 | Speaker 3:

Good. I have a whole separate account that's set up different from my wife that actually lets me go golfing, purchase whatever I want that she has no clue about. So I know where you're coming from. And literally every time I shop for anything that I want, it just goes out of that account. I don't like this. She literally has no clue about that account.

00:11:55 - 00:11:58 | Speaker 2:

Wait, you don't like this? Women have been doing this forever, Megan.

00:11:58 - 00:12:00 | Speaker 5:

No, this feels different.

00:12:01 - 00:12:04 | Speaker 3:

I don't know. I don't like it. She has her own stash, too. It's called My Cash.

00:12:05 - 00:12:14 | Speaker 2:

So what's the difference? Yeah. Listen, my mom used to get money over all the time at the store at Kroger, and that was one of her things that she would do. That's pretty much the same.

00:12:14 - 00:12:31 | Speaker 3:

This sounds like accounts that she doesn't have access to. Some of the courses are like $100, $120 to play. And when the wife sees $120 to play 18 holes, you're just going to hear it all day. So you might as well have a separate account that nobody knows about.

00:12:31 - 00:12:38 | Speaker 2:

Or do you ever do this at those places that cost that much? You pay part with cash, and then you do the rest on your credit card?

00:12:39 - 00:12:41 | Speaker 6:

That is totally financial infidelity.

00:12:42 - 00:12:51 | Speaker 3:

$60 in cash, $60 on the card. Nobody knows what's going on. And they, oh, you paid $60 to go golfing? Cool. They didn't know it cost me $120 to go golfing.

00:12:51 - 00:12:55 | Speaker 2:

Yeah. By the way, Megan doesn't like it because a guy actually is doing it. That's why.

00:12:55 - 00:13:09 | Speaker 5:

No, I don't. Okay. I'm all for the little lie of how much you spend on a purse or whatever it is. But when you have full-on separate accounts that they don't know about, that seems very extreme.

00:13:09 - 00:13:17 | Speaker 2:

I'm saving this for the next time we talk to a wife who is trying to leave her husband and goes and gets a separate account. Megan's not going to go now.

00:13:17 - 00:13:27 | Speaker 5:

This is actually part of the thing, like, the first thing I thought of was, can she even leave, or does she not have enough money to do that? Like, this, oh, it seems manipulative. I don't like it.

00:13:27 - 00:13:28 | Speaker 2:

Jackie, what's up?

00:13:29 - 00:13:30 | Speaker 6:

Hi, how are you, Mojo?

00:13:30 - 00:13:35 | Speaker 2:

Good, what's going on? We're talking about financial infidelity, and how do you hide your packages?

00:13:36 - 00:13:45 | Speaker 6:

I had a settlement check from work that was in the thousands of dollars, and I literally had my neighbor checking my mailbox every 15 minutes.

00:13:45 - 00:14:14 | Speaker 2:

so i wouldn't have my husband find it i know i'm a horrible wife right no no no no i'm waiting for maybe a thing from megan on this but nothing because it's jackie calling this time there's no winning for me today huh megan oh it's all right miss double standard

00:14:14 - 00:14:16 | Speaker 5:

No, I think it's... Oh, my God.

00:14:17 - 00:14:17 | Speaker 2:

Take the L.

00:14:18 - 00:14:20 | Speaker 5:

It's not an L. I don't think it's right either.

00:14:21 - 00:14:22 | Speaker 2:

But why are you not saying...

00:14:22 - 00:14:26 | Speaker 5:

Do you want me to harp on everybody? Why are you not saying... Every caller. I'm going to harp on every caller. Ready? Go.

00:14:27 - 00:14:29 | Speaker 2:

Dun, dun, dun, dun, dun, dun, dun, dun.

00:14:29 - 00:14:33 | Speaker 5:

If I did harp, people would be like, you made your point, Megan. Jackie. We know.

00:14:35 - 00:14:37 | Speaker 2:

Go have a great day with... How much money was it, by the way, Jackie?

00:14:38 - 00:14:40 | Speaker 6:

It was like $5,000. Ooh. Jackie.

00:14:40 - 00:15:29 | Speaker 2:

By the way, that's more than a $100 golf game. You know what, Jackie, he deserved it. He deserved it, Jackie.
