00:02:04 - 00:02:09 | Speaker 7:

petty we're gonna take 10 minutes to be petty here right now what's going on so i went out to dinner

00:02:09 - 00:03:14 | Speaker 5:

last night with um some friends i got to catch up and one of my friends he ended his relationship earlier last year middle of last year it doesn't matter anyways i feel bad because i kind of like his ex-girlfriend don't you hate when you kind of become friends with somebody you've been watching You know, you're like, okay, so because we're Facebook friends, like she's got a new boyfriend and it got brought up into the conversation of like, oh, did you see so-and-so is dating somebody new? And I love this response because it made me chuckle because I realized every single person has this response. As soon as this new guy was brought up, he immediately goes on a rant. Yeah, I'm much hotter than him. And did you see what he does for a living? I got a better job than him. And just going through a list of all of the reasons why he is a better man than the new boyfriends. And I don't think I know a single person that when you ask about an ex moving on, doesn't justify why they're better in the first place. And I love this man with all of my heart. Okay, he is my friend. Bro, you got problems in relationships. You can say that I failed at something. You're not perfect. But why do we always get so petty when somebody moves on?

00:03:14 - 00:03:19 | Speaker 7:

don't you want to like get that person right in front of you at that moment and then you make the

00:03:19 - 00:03:31 | Speaker 5:

decision on who's better no but somebody did bring up well the guy's kind of hot and he got so mad the guy got so mad he was like i'm so good i go to the gym more i was like okay do you guys ever

00:03:31 - 00:03:43 | Speaker 7:

if you're in a relationship do you ever when you know you break up and all the rest of the stuff or divorce whatever do you ever go and look and go god they're now with ugly or you ever you know

00:03:43 - 00:03:48 | Speaker 4:

i mean like you're happy i think it's natural to just to compare yeah unfortunately because it does

00:03:48 - 00:03:55 | Speaker 6:

no good but it is human nature i try not to i would like to think i'm the best version of myself

00:03:55 - 00:04:15 | Speaker 7:

at all times but that human element does creep in if they end up with something better like in this case where this guy you know you know megan's friend you know she's on with somebody else if they're like all of a sudden start dating the best guy ever oh so depressing look i'm not gonna

00:04:15 - 00:04:33 | Speaker 6:

say i got an ego and i feel like we all should think about ourselves in this way i don't think there's anybody better than me or has that that kevin factor yeah but i feel like everybody should have that that thought about themselves there's something unique that you bring to the table that no matter what that other person looks like or what they can do they're not you yeah i wish

00:04:33 - 00:04:38 | Speaker 5:

more people had the opposite opinion would start working on themselves yeah maybe that's why i got

00:04:38 - 00:04:49 | Speaker 4:

here has it ever happened to any of you because i've had this happen to me where the person that you were dating moves on to someone who looks like just oh yeah they want your clone that's worse

00:04:49 - 00:04:59 | Speaker 7:

just like you is that worse though or is it worse than if they move on to somebody completely opposite looking of you in your life that's because they they want you i had a girl go get

00:05:00 - 00:05:12 | Speaker 5:

me well she told me I don't want to be with any other man I can't see myself with another she was letting you down I said she said she said stop for one

00:05:12 - 00:05:16 | Speaker 6:

second she said to you I don't want any other manner for you so I'm gonna go

00:05:16 - 00:05:24 | Speaker 5:

with women she was gay all along eventually she got eventually she got back with another man and you know they got there is no by the way you try to

00:05:24 - 00:05:33 | Speaker 6:

made yourself look so much better she decided that there's no guy i can ever be with so i'm

00:05:33 - 00:05:42 | Speaker 5:

gonna go gay and then got with a guy so you think i've been waiting for megan to bring up this topic and for us to have this for me to just make up a story off the top of my head okay when you when

00:05:42 - 00:05:52 | Speaker 4:

you heard that she got back with or got together with another guy and got married and stuff how fast did you go to instagram i was i was off her but after she told you that you were the best of

00:05:52 - 00:06:23 | Speaker 5:

the best of the best so we used to work i'd be so curious to work with each other in like 2018 no it was before like 2014 or 15 and i went through her phone saw she was dealing with somebody else now mind you i was dealing with somebody else too but i got super mad about that and said i'm done with you and was done with her for a while we smashed a couple of times after that but like she had literally went gay and literally told me like i just can't see my maybe i'm saying the wrong thing she started to date a woman and said i don't want to be with any other man i can't see

00:06:23 - 00:06:29 | Speaker 1:

myself this is just what happened y'all this is my life i'm not lying nobody's saying you're lying

00:06:29 - 00:06:44 | Speaker 6:

because that's like bravado there that's like yeah she said that i can't if i can't have your d i don't want any i'm going for the v and then i went back to the d and then i went back to the because I didn't like the V.

00:06:44 - 00:06:46 | Speaker 5:

That's how it happened. That's how it happened.

00:06:47 - 00:06:49 | Speaker 6:

Amy, what's up? It's Mojo in the morning. How are you?

00:06:49 - 00:07:19 | Speaker 2:

I'm trying to tell you my story. Good. Happy Friday. Yay. Happy Friday. So I was dating a guy, and we lived at the same area. We went to this restaurant, you know, either to eat or to hang out, have drinks, and often. And we got to know the bartender, and I broke up with this guy, and he started dating somebody else, and this bartender was like, oh you know so and so has a new girlfriend i'm like yeah i heard she goes she looks just like

00:07:19 - 00:07:35 | Speaker 6:

you oh my god oh man how'd that make you feel um well i guess he's got a type right well that's true but what if you look at them and you see that they are so much better looking than you

00:07:35 - 00:07:40 | Speaker 2:

they're the better looking version of you well it just depends how you feel about yourself right

00:07:40 - 00:07:44 | Speaker 6:

Well, you're right. No, I know. But I'm just, you're always going to compare, though.

00:07:44 - 00:07:49 | Speaker 2:

It's hard. It's hard no matter who moves on, good, bad. Yep. Yeah. It's tough.

00:07:50 - 00:07:59 | Speaker 1:

If you're dating somebody that looks just like your ex and you're going to all of your favorite dating spots, how many times is a server coming over and being like, hey, Jennifer? Hi. You're somebody new.

00:08:00 - 00:08:05 | Speaker 6:

I never thought about that. What's going on, Craig? Hi, it's Mojo in the Morning. How are you?

00:08:06 - 00:08:07 | Speaker 3:

Hey, how's it going?

00:08:08 - 00:08:10 | Speaker 6:

Hi. You had a similar situation, huh?

00:08:10 - 00:08:28 | Speaker 3:

you broke up and what did your ex do well it was my wife we divorced and uh we were separated for years but she ended up dating a guy that looked identical to me apparently wow because they would go out to public places and they actually called him my name just like what megan was saying that

00:08:28 - 00:08:34 | Speaker 6:

how did that make you feel that she stayed with her type so to speak i'm fine with it i mean we

00:08:34 - 00:08:43 | Speaker 3:

you know we we divorced on good terms and yeah i actually like the guy he's a good guy here's something i don't have a problem with but i just think it's funny that you know people actually

00:08:43 - 00:09:06 | Speaker 6:

called him my name what what if they is what this looks are not uh anything to do with this what if they you in a guy situation here you divorce your wife she ends up finding a guy and the guy is wealthy and he's successful and he's like puts her in a position where you could have never put her in financially would that bother you more than the looks

00:09:06 - 00:09:14 | Speaker 3:

no not really i mean i i to be honest i put her in a position where she had the money but

00:09:14 - 00:09:25 | Speaker 6:

so it doesn't really bother me too much that's interesting how would you feel the opposite and then she's happier with this other person because he's making her happier than uh than you were

00:09:25 - 00:09:33 | Speaker 3:

even with the money to be honest uh the way it ended um it didn't bother me at all yeah you're

00:09:33 - 00:09:36 | Speaker 6:

pretty solid guy until you hang up the phone and you start going hold on let me think of those

00:09:36 - 00:09:42 | Speaker 4:

questions you call us back in a few minutes okay because honestly i will say this to you my hope

00:09:42 - 00:09:59 | Speaker 6:

and dream is if god forbid chelsea and i ever get divorced she becomes an old maid or marries the fattest guy well i already am the fact that she marries how about this she marries a guy who's incredibly skinny, but looks like he's like, you know, got

00:10:00 - 00:10:03 | Speaker 4:

Yeah, bad breath, bald. Like, I'm trying to think of the others.

00:10:03 - 00:10:05 | Speaker 2:

You want to be superior. You want to be the best.

00:10:05 - 00:10:42 | Speaker 4:

Yeah, this guy that we know named John. It's like, but like, it would bother me. Although, I think that, I think I could see Chelsea, like, if we got divorced, never marrying ever again and just being with her girlfriends. She said she wouldn't. Yeah, she's, to me, that would be the case. I also could see her leaving me for another woman because my D is not as good as Kevin's. What? What? Rambo, Kevin's got the most amazing wiener ever that a girl chose to be with girls because of this. What do you think about that?

00:10:43 - 00:10:48 | Speaker 2:

What type of conversation y'all be having around closed doors on the radio? No, Rambo.

00:10:48 - 00:10:51 | Speaker 4:

He's Rambo. Why not listening to the radio?

00:10:51 - 00:10:54 | Speaker 5:

I didn't say anything about sex. You brought that up.

00:10:54 - 00:10:56 | Speaker 4:

You said that she couldn't be with anybody else.

00:10:56 - 00:11:09 | Speaker 5:

Did I say it has anything to do with sex? Oh, then what did it have to do with? The thing I said at the beginning of the conversation, sometimes your it factor doesn't matter when it comes to somebody else because you're you. You brought up sex. I ain't say nothing about that. You got dick on the brain, not me.

00:11:12 - 00:11:14 | Speaker 4:

I do, and it's your dick I have on my brain.

00:11:16 - 00:11:20 | Speaker 2:

Colleen, make me stop. I'm glad my kids in school right now.

00:11:21 - 00:11:22 | Speaker 4:

What's up, Rambo?

00:11:23 - 00:11:36 | Speaker 2:

What's up? I just wanted to comment it. Hey, Kel, though, man, the way you're talking about these females, You're so comfortable, you know, to talk about who you would smash, who you want to smash, who you should have smashed. I guess being away from Sherelle is a big head-pleaser, huh?

00:11:37 - 00:11:39 | Speaker 5:

Wait, what? Being a what?

00:11:41 - 00:11:43 | Speaker 2:

Being away from Sherelle is a big head-pleaser, huh?

00:11:43 - 00:11:50 | Speaker 5:

I don't get what you're saying. I think he's saying, are you saying it? I think he's trying to be funny, but it ain't coming out wrong.

00:11:50 - 00:12:03 | Speaker 2:

He's like a player, man. No, I ain't trying to be funny. I'm just saying, I'm commenting on what was going on. You just, you're way more comfortable now since you've been out of a relationship, you know what I mean? You're very wild these days on the radio, you know?

00:12:03 - 00:12:08 | Speaker 4:

We talked about that. Listen to the podcast. Cav has changed. You can go back and listen to it.

00:12:08 - 00:12:13 | Speaker 2:

I swear, you were so careful with everything you said. Exactly. You were in a relationship with Shereo. Exactly. Now, it just balls to the wall.

00:12:14 - 00:12:20 | Speaker 5:

See, when you're in a relationship, you should be the person that's in a relationship. You should be respectful to your partner.

00:12:20 - 00:12:27 | Speaker 2:

You should listen to the radio so you can say that. And I'm not in a relationship. So now you're not in a relationship. if you ain't got to tend us up. Pretty good. You know what?

00:12:27 - 00:12:45 | Speaker 4:

Honestly, can I say something? No, I think if you listen back to that podcast, you'll understand Kevin's point where he's at right now. He's had to kind of hold back a little bit, not because of his relationship with Sherelle, but because of his breakup from Sherelle. And he held back for a few months there on the air. And I think that was because he was dealing with the pain of losing this relationship.

00:12:45 - 00:12:47 | Speaker 1:

But this situation about this girl, this is before even Sherelle.

00:12:47 - 00:12:48 | Speaker 4:

No, this is way before.

00:12:49 - 00:12:50 | Speaker 1:

This is BS, remember?

00:12:50 - 00:12:55 | Speaker 4:

Rambo. Yes, BS. BS before Sherelle. Rambo, Rambo. What's up, Devin? Hi.

00:12:56 - 00:13:01 | Speaker 3:

What if it's the opposite of way for Kevin? Nobody, no guy could get her there, so she had to go to a girl.

00:13:02 - 00:13:10 | Speaker 4:

Oh, that's, you know what, that would be, wouldn't that make you feel more confident in yourself, huh? Like, like, there you go. But Kev says it's not about sex, though. It was not about sex at all for him.

00:13:11 - 00:13:16 | Speaker 3:

I don't believe it was. It was for him. For him. For her. That's the point, for him. Yeah. Exactly.

00:13:17 - 00:13:29 | Speaker 4:

I would like to think that would be the case with me, but I know I'd be the worst ever. Seriously, I could picture any girl that is with me going, oh, poor Chelsea. What's going on, Karen? How you doing?

00:13:30 - 00:13:32 | Speaker 1:

I'm good. How are you?

00:13:32 - 00:13:41 | Speaker 4:

I'm fantastic, Karen. We're having just some fun on the radio. We're being petty. The petty times ending in 30 seconds. Go ahead. Give me your comment.

00:13:42 - 00:13:47 | Speaker 1:

So my ex-husband married his ex-wife from before me.

00:13:49 - 00:13:49 | Speaker 5:

Wow.

00:13:49 - 00:14:05 | Speaker 1:

So he went back. yeah how did that make you feel well kind of at first i didn't care but then i was like well maybe we are a type maybe it kind of made me feel crappy oh that would be i would i would be so in

00:14:05 - 00:14:27 | Speaker 4:

my head about that that would be brutal yeah but you know what though i i maybe that was maybe he truly was in love with her and had nothing to do with you and he realized what he missed yeah and maybe he was able to work it out like that's what i would hope i would hope in that case and you honestly were an innocent bystander in the whole situation but you got to almost do they have kids together?

00:14:28 - 00:14:31 | Speaker 1:

They do and then I have a child with him as well.

00:14:32 - 00:14:36 | Speaker 4:

Are you guys close? Is everything okay? Like you like this woman?

00:14:37 - 00:14:39 | Speaker 1:

Oh yeah, no, I like her better than him.

00:14:41 - 00:14:49 | Speaker 4:

Now, you know what would be the capper of this whole one? And this is the end of pettiness because I said it's ending. The capper would be she leaves him for you.

00:14:50 - 00:14:52 | Speaker 1:

Oh, dang.

00:14:53 - 00:14:59 | Speaker 4:

This is the Bishop Statement at Bishop State Community College. We want you to hear what our students, educators, and business leaders have to say.

00:16:19 - 00:17:06 | Speaker 3:

I would say Bishop State's like a home for people. It may not be like a four-year where you have a dorm, you have a roommate, you have a rec center, but it's still a place you can go meet new people, classmates, people in the hallway, make friends with advisors on all these teachers and everything like that. It's just a place you can feel like yourself and not try to be there you don't want to be. With this program, I learned networking a lot. We've had two dinners with heads of different companies dealing with shipping or even game design builds, dealing with AutoCAD or any 3D modeling. So really being able to meet new people or meet heads of new people has been really helpful. I don't come from a wealthy family, so four years were kind of not out the picture, but less probable for me to go to. Bishop State with my scholarship, it cut my price in half and made it way easier for me to go to school for the same 12 credits I would go for a four-year. Ready to make your own Bishop Statement?
