Mojo in the Morning Show. Home of the War of the Roses. Second date update. Five lives tell your mom. The Dirty on the 30 throwback throwdown. Good to have you guys here with us. Thank you for being here. Phone number 844-MOJO-LIVE. 844-665-6548. So, Kev was at the barber yesterday.

00:02:50 - 00:02:55 | Speaker 5:

Yeah, looking good, right mom? Oh, Daryl, shout out to Daryl. Shout out, Barbara D. We back, baby.

00:02:55 - 00:02:59 | Speaker 6:

How do you put a hat over that masterpiece that Daryl got?

00:02:59 - 00:03:09 | Speaker 5:

Yeah, let me see. You know what I'm saying? That's honestly the part that makes me feel the worst about getting the haircut is literally putting my hat right on my head and walking out the door. Like, I pray that's not disrespectful.

00:03:10 - 00:03:14 | Speaker 6:

Are we live this morning? Are we going live this morning? What are we doing, Lydia? Charlamagne, we live? We live.

00:03:15 - 00:03:17 | Speaker 4:

We're live right now. Are we?

00:03:17 - 00:03:19 | Speaker 6:

No, let's do it now. Let's get it now. Let's get it going. Come on, Zach.

00:03:19 - 00:03:20 | Speaker 4:

Push that button.

00:03:20 - 00:03:26 | Speaker 6:

Zach's going to go live. No, no, Zach's coming in. Zach's coming in. Don't touch him. Don't touch him. Zach's got it.

00:03:26 - 00:03:26 | Speaker 5:

I already did it.

00:03:27 - 00:03:30 | Speaker 6:

I want to go live because I want everybody to see this guy's new head of hair that he's got here.

00:03:30 - 00:03:33 | Speaker 5:

It's not a new head of hair. This is the first time I've got my hair cut.

00:03:33 - 00:03:39 | Speaker 6:

He went to the barber, and every time he comes to the barber, it seems like he gets a new head of hair. It looks so good.

00:03:39 - 00:03:42 | Speaker 5:

I appreciate it. Barbershop was wild yesterday.

00:03:42 - 00:03:46 | Speaker 6:

Whenever he goes to the barbershop, too, he always comes up with a topic. You got a topic out of the barbershop yesterday?

00:03:46 - 00:03:54 | Speaker 5:

The topic for today is, has anyone's children ever prevented you from dating them? Or moving forward with them. Prevented? Prevented.

00:03:54 - 00:03:56 | Speaker 6:

What do you mean, like, prevented because?

00:03:56 - 00:04:13 | Speaker 5:

Because the kid was bad as hell. Oh. I'm in a barber shop yesterday, and when I walk in, there's a woman that's getting her hair done across from me. And it looks like she's finishing up. Wait, a woman goes to a barber shop? Well, it's like a beauty salon slash barber shop. Okay. Remember the lady who I let cut my hair? She does.

00:04:14 - 00:04:15 | Speaker 6:

She does women.

00:04:15 - 00:05:00 | Speaker 5:

Yeah. Okay. I like that. um so yeah so she's uh she's finishing up a young lady across from her and the barbershop is a little quieter than like what i'm normally accustomed to when i come in there there's a lot of chatter music everybody kind of look focused and when i get in my chair i realize it's because this lady kid is the kid from hell he's like a little demon baby he's running around he yelling he's screaming and it's almost to the point where she's kind of telling him to calm down but it's almost like it's normal behavior the way that she's responding to it he's not near her he comes over to where we are he touching stuff people kind of looking annoyed and it's like when she leaves finally with her kid everybody's like a breath of fresh air like uh that kid's gone like she she gotta be sick

00:05:00 - 00:05:06 | Speaker 4:

There's no way I could ever date her. And that became the conversation. Like, how have kids ruined your potential relationship?

00:05:06 - 00:05:41 | Speaker 1:

That's actually very interesting. And we've got a lot of single moms that listen to this radio show. We are, I don't know if you know this, Nielsen rated number one for single moms, believe it or not. Where's that t-shirt? No, I don't think, I don't even think they have that as a category. They need a t-shirt. They should have that as a category. If they don't, Nielsen come up with something like that, because I'm sure we would be number one for single moms. But a lot of single moms. And I wonder if that's the case. I wonder if your kid is, you know, to a point where your kid prevents you from having, you know, relationships because of something that your kid either does or, you know.

00:05:41 - 00:05:57 | Speaker 2:

Well, just think about dating, Kev. I mean, you're not necessarily dating, but you, you know, you will eventually. If you met somebody who was perfect, but she had the kid or kids from hell, that's going to affect whether you want to move forward in that relationship or not.

00:05:57 - 00:06:00 | Speaker 4:

It's a package deal, especially if you're getting serious with that person.

00:06:00 - 00:06:06 | Speaker 1:

See, I got to tell you, I think his kid would get him laid. I mean, I'm blessed, man.

00:06:06 - 00:06:06 | Speaker 4:

He's old enough.

00:06:07 - 00:06:26 | Speaker 1:

Josiah is one of those kids where he's so damn smart and so fun. You could use him as your in to get a girl to come talk to you because the kid's got game. I should just be quiet. Let him talk. Yeah. Go walk up to her and tell her, you should date my daddy. I wanted, like, what was the kid from Big Daddy? Yeah.

00:06:27 - 00:06:31 | Speaker 2:

I just watched part of that movie. That's such a great movie. I love that movie.

00:06:31 - 00:06:41 | Speaker 1:

Yeah, that would be... Scooby Steve, damn you. You date my dad. Hold on, Daryl's on with us right now. Daryl, this is Cabs Barber. Was that kid that bad, Daryl?

00:06:42 - 00:06:43 | Speaker 3:

Man, that kid is terrible, man.

00:06:44 - 00:06:45 | Speaker 1:

Really?

00:06:46 - 00:07:13 | Speaker 3:

Yeah, that kid had hit me one time, and I was like, oh, man. Oh, really? Yeah, that kid just ran through the shop, man. and just, I was cutting his hair one time and he turned around, he was playing with his little iPad or whatever, and I guess it lost or something, and I was cutting his hair, he turned around, and I was like, hey, and hit me, I'm like, whoa, what's going on, man? Took me like forever to cut his hair. I was like, oh.

00:07:13 - 00:07:17 | Speaker 1:

Is the mom apologetic the whole time, or how is the mom dealing with it?

00:07:18 - 00:07:32 | Speaker 3:

I mean, she always is, but she never do nothing like kids. She never do nothing. They just be like, hey, stop it. It's like, hey, get your kid. yeah yeah like what is going on yeah i can't do it man i couldn't do it you know how it takes a

00:07:32 - 00:07:46 | Speaker 4:

village can you discipline other people's kids if they're in your business maybe right okay take the scissors and threaten them with the scissors yeah yeah yeah see what they do um i

00:07:46 - 00:08:14 | Speaker 1:

we have friend a friend who has uh she's single and she has a son that has some severe autism and uh it's tough for her because i think that she realizes how much work goes into being a mom for her and so and i always feel really bad but i always think that if i'm a guy and i really like a person you know i'll deal with their kid you know what i mean i'll figure that out but some of these guys that are out there man they don't deal with this i mean how do you how do you get

00:08:14 - 00:08:19 | Speaker 4:

to that point though right of actually really liking the person before you realize that this

00:08:19 - 00:08:28 | Speaker 1:

child is a barrier. Well, I would think that you wouldn't bring the kid around in the beginning. So you'd, you know, like for any parent, you shouldn't even

00:08:28 - 00:08:29 | Speaker 2:

introduce. Even if the kid or kids are good.

00:08:29 - 00:08:44 | Speaker 1:

Yeah, because you don't want to introduce them to a whole bunch of people. That's facts. 844-MOJO-LIVE, 844-665-6548. Has a kid ever kept you from dating, whether it be your kid or somebody else's kid? Daryl, you are a single man, aren't you?

00:08:45 - 00:08:45 | Speaker 3:

Yep.

00:08:46 - 00:08:52 | Speaker 1:

Yeah, do you... Have you ever found yourself liking a lady but not liking her kid?

00:08:54 - 00:09:59 | Speaker 3:

All right, so I had this one time, right? I went to the strip club, met this young lady. She was working hard. And during, you know, I decided to take her on a date, you know. You asked to strip her out? That's a boss move. When we went to her office, you know, if I may will, and had a consultation, I decided that I kind of liked her a little bit. So, I'm like, let's go take this show on the road. Okay. So, and we went to, I went to her house to pick her up, right? And she had like a kid, and she was like three or four years old, and he had his boots on, and he just kept kicking me like in the front of my lips. and it's like i don't care how little a kid is you know like that little shin bone right in the front oh that hurts so bad yeah so he had like this little little little hawk toy and she didn't see it but i took his toy and i tucked it in the couch so when he got to going crazy she came on

00:10:00 - 00:10:03 | Speaker 4:

Hey, you stop, you stop. And she grabbed him and made him go to sleep and everything.

00:10:04 - 00:10:17 | Speaker 1:

And now he can't find his Hulk toy. Hey, wait, wait, wait, real quick. You said you met this girl at a strip club. She took you to her office? Private dance, private dance.

00:10:17 - 00:10:21 | Speaker 4:

I mean, you know, her bathroom. Is that what it is? It said he got a consultation.

00:10:21 - 00:10:24 | Speaker 3:

Was it $25 to visit that office? What was the call, $25?

00:10:25 - 00:10:33 | Speaker 4:

It was a little bit to it involved. For the one-on-one consultation.

00:10:34 - 00:10:35 | Speaker 1:

That's amazing.

00:10:37 - 00:10:38 | Speaker 4:

Nice hardworking woman.

00:10:39 - 00:10:40 | Speaker 1:

That's awesome.

00:10:40 - 00:10:42 | Speaker 4:

I love when Daryl calls in and tells me.

00:10:42 - 00:10:43 | Speaker 1:

I do like that, too.

00:10:44 - 00:10:47 | Speaker 4:

You're my favorite, Daryl. I hope Kevin doesn't cheat on you anymore.

00:10:47 - 00:10:50 | Speaker 1:

Oh, right, exactly. Mike, what's going on? It's Mojo in the Morning. Hi.

00:10:51 - 00:11:27 | Speaker 2:

Yeah, what's up, guys? How's it going? So my girlfriend I dated in high school, her little brother was a little uh little jerk we were i i was getting in the car one time and he slammed my uh head in the car door and i i ended up marrying the girl and having a kid with her and she's awesome i'm a single dad now but i this kid's like 15 now and when i see him i'm like man i should i should sock you once that's funny you know it's funny mike i can relate to you mike chelsea had a little brother josh that

00:11:27 - 00:11:53 | Speaker 1:

we used to have to go out on dates with and she would have to lie to him because her dad didn't want her dating me so she would have to lie to him about who i was so she would like come up with different names and she would they would we kept telling him that my white jeep that i had was not a jeep it was a honda accord so that her dad would say what kind of car were you guys in still to this day the kid can't tell a jeep from a honda accord what's up lucy how you doing

00:11:53 - 00:12:32 | Speaker 3:

hi good morning what's going on not much so i was telling lydia that i actually have um a daughter with down syndrome and that like prevented me to date for such a long time like you know there's There's so many people out there that, like, at first, I wouldn't really come out and say it, and then they would find out and, like, go with me. But then I started being dishonest, right? Like, one of the first things off the, off rip, this is, you know, what I have at home. And I don't blame them, right? Like, nobody wants to, you know, if you can't handle it, you can't handle it.

00:12:32 - 00:12:49 | Speaker 1:

See, that's sad. That's so sad to me because of, I mean, I know that your daughter is your number one, right? That's your number one. And if somebody's not going to take your daughter and make that child their number one, you know what I mean? Why would you want them in their life? And can I tell you something?

00:12:49 - 00:12:54 | Speaker 2:

Also, how can you not love those kids, right? Down syndrome kids are the most wonderful. Oh, my God, they're the sweetest, most loving kids.

00:12:54 - 00:12:55 | Speaker 1:

Yeah.

00:12:55 - 00:13:00 | Speaker 3:

The best. And adults. Yeah, she's amazing. I mean, I'm happily engaged now.

00:13:01 - 00:13:01 | Speaker 1:

Excellent. Beautiful.

00:13:02 - 00:13:15 | Speaker 3:

Yeah, so we found the love of my life. So he accepts her, loves her as his own. and she loves him too. But yeah, there's a lot of things. She does come with a little bit of attitude.

00:13:17 - 00:13:38 | Speaker 1:

Wow, it's funny. I've never seen a Down Syndrome person that seemed like they ever were angry or had attitude. They always seem so happy. Thank you for the call, Lucy. I'm happy for you. Thank you for sharing that with us. Now back to Daryl the barber and his... By the way, how many girls have you ever picked up at strip clubs?

00:13:38 - 00:14:10 | Speaker 4:

Um, quite a few. Um, you know, uh, I like, I like the consistency in the character. The consistency in the character. Yeah, you know, they're very giving. They're very, very, uh, you know, they, you know, they, they take very good care of you. I recommend, uh, if they're, they're potentially life material. Really? Think about it. Wow. Yeah, think about it. Like, they serve you. They bring you food. if you go long enough, they even know you drink, right?

00:14:12 - 00:14:15 | Speaker 1:

Daryl, you're digging a hole. You are digging a hole.

00:14:15 - 00:14:37 | Speaker 4:

I'm just there. They know how to talk to you. They soft-boken, and you get a bang for your buck. A lot of people, you know, when you date women that's not strippers, right? Yeah. You spend your money on getting, you know, taking care of them, and you get a lot of bad feedback. But strippers, every time, the more you pay, the more they treat you nice. And I liked it.

00:14:38 - 00:14:39 | Speaker 3:

And I liked it.

00:14:39 - 00:14:41 | Speaker 1:

Daryl's got it going on. Hold on.

00:14:41 - 00:14:44 | Speaker 3:

Honestly, I don't dance, and if you pay me, I'll treat you nicely.

00:14:45 - 00:14:53 | Speaker 1:

Initial S is a single mom, and you say you can relate to this? What's going on? Your voice disguised.

00:14:54 - 00:15:00 | Speaker 4:

Hi. Yeah, I was just listening, and it was really hard to be a single mom.

00:15:00 - 00:15:30 | Speaker 6:

and date i've been dating someone for a little over a year and a half and i get my kids every other week and it takes a couple days for the kids to adjust to being around a new person um and then things kind of relax but um you have to be respectful to your the parent the other parents yeah yeah and you're trying to co-parent all the time to be respectful for the other

00:15:30 - 00:15:35 | Speaker 5:

parent so wait so are you saying single moms usually date single dads and that makes for

00:15:35 - 00:15:50 | Speaker 6:

the best relationships or it's harder um in my case i'm dating someone that doesn't have kids okay it's hard it's hard to date me because yeah you only see me every other week oh yeah yeah

00:15:50 - 00:16:01 | Speaker 5:

Yeah, that's where it does. Megan likes that. Megan actually lies and says that she's got no cut. Quick question for you. Would you like to be introduced to Daryl the Barber?

00:16:04 - 00:16:05 | Speaker 6:

No, I'm good. I'm good.

00:16:08 - 00:16:12 | Speaker 5:

No offense, Daryl, but she says that she's good on this one here, okay?

00:16:12 - 00:16:13 | Speaker 6:

My chance will always be.

00:16:13 - 00:16:18 | Speaker 5:

Oh, hold on. I've got to make sure you're unvoiced disguise here. Say that again. What did you say?

00:16:18 - 00:16:24 | Speaker 6:

my kids will always come first so good it's gonna you know always be tricky to date me

00:16:24 - 00:16:32 | Speaker 5:

but you know and that's the way you should always keep it right yes absolutely all right

00:16:32 - 00:16:40 | Speaker 4:

and as megan would say f them yeah kids come last me the dog really my car oil changes

00:16:40 - 00:16:47 | Speaker 5:

and the kids maybe you and daryl do need to be in a relationship together right daryl daryl would Would you like to be in the...

00:16:47 - 00:17:22 | Speaker 4:

Yeah, that's right. Hey. Yeah, meet me at the strip club inside. You pay me and I'll teach you real nice.
