It's Mojo in the morning. Last night, Chelsea and I almost did it. We almost bit the bullet, and we almost did two days in a row of Dairy Queen. I get excited about the fact that the weather's been nice, and we almost did, you know, okay, let's do a Dairy Queen. And I said, no, no, no, better yet, we will cure the sweet tooth that both of us have and we will start finishing off the Halloween candy that we still have. We still have some Halloween candy.

00:01:42 - 00:01:43 | Speaker 6:

Yeah, throw that out, bro.

00:01:43 - 00:02:09 | Speaker 5:

Uh-uh. Why would you throw it out? First off, there's so many preservatives in that candy. They know that's, I'm saying. It's March. It came in the, it's one of those boxes. We bought the big box of the big candy from Costco. And so it's the multi-pack. and it's got all the remaining candies that we didn't like to eat in October that we're still probably eating. You know how they do that? Where it's like Snickers, M&M's, Twix, you know, like that.

00:02:09 - 00:02:13 | Speaker 4:

I'm with Kev. It's past its prime. It was probably ashy chocolate. No, I looked at that.

00:02:13 - 00:02:15 | Speaker 5:

First off, I look at expiration.

00:02:15 - 00:02:17 | Speaker 4:

Do you know what I'm talking about? You know what I'm talking about. It's like white.

00:02:18 - 00:02:19 | Speaker 3:

You have until the 4th of July.

00:02:19 - 00:02:27 | Speaker 5:

Wait, oh my God. Well, no, quick question for you. When do you throw away canned pop? Canned pop is last for years. I don't drink pop. I don't know.

00:02:27 - 00:02:38 | Speaker 4:

See, pop to me doesn't go bad. It gets like less crispy, but chocolate to me gets that white coating on it, and then it's bad. What else are you using five months later?

00:02:39 - 00:02:43 | Speaker 5:

I use every, first off, I use lotions and soaps and all kinds of stuff.

00:02:43 - 00:02:50 | Speaker 6:

I mean, stuff that you eat. Barbecue sauce. Barbecue sauce. No argument there. Mayonnaise. No argument there. My grandma still got stuff from the Great Depression.

00:02:51 - 00:02:54 | Speaker 3:

Gatorades. Yeah. Gatorades could be from 94. I'm still going to drink it.

00:02:54 - 00:03:09 | Speaker 5:

So, well. Jordaneers. Well, let me tell you that first and foremost, this candy that's on the shelves right now at most of the convenience stores that you go and buy a piece of candy, it's the same candy I bought at Costco. They just filled their shelves with it.

00:03:09 - 00:03:13 | Speaker 6:

I had to blow the dust off some fruit snacks in Southfield the other day. Nice.

00:03:13 - 00:03:18 | Speaker 4:

You got to go to a popular gas station that has lots of turnover of their crap food.

00:03:19 - 00:03:40 | Speaker 5:

I'm telling you, the only place that you're going to be getting fresh candy at is at Hershey's. That's the only place that they're going to have that thing. So I go inside the thing. And by the way, if you have a comment on this, I would love to hear your comments on the candy man over here who says that I'm not allowed to eat candy past a certain day.

00:03:40 - 00:03:43 | Speaker 3:

If you don't play the Willy Wonka Candyman song.

00:03:43 - 00:03:45 | Speaker 5:

No, I'm actually going to play Aaron Carter, I want candy.

00:03:45 - 00:03:48 | Speaker 6:

You can't use your Halloween candy for Easter candy.

00:03:49 - 00:03:55 | Speaker 5:

Yeah, you know what? You can't. It's too old. There are some parents. There are some parents that did.

00:03:56 - 00:03:58 | Speaker 3:

Those Reese's pumpkins, multi-use.

00:03:59 - 00:04:25 | Speaker 5:

By the way, they just remelt that chocolate down and make it into the shape of whatever it is. That's why everybody's sick. So last night, I go in and I go, oh, Chels, we don't have many options here. Only the Milky Ways were left. And she goes, Milky Way? She goes, what does a Milky Way taste like? And I go, what? I'm like, are you kidding me? Like, are you joking with me? She's never had a Milky Way? No, I've never had a Milky Way.

00:04:26 - 00:04:28 | Speaker 4:

No. I love Milky Way.

00:04:28 - 00:04:33 | Speaker 5:

How do you not ever know what a Milky Way tastes like?

00:04:33 - 00:04:35 | Speaker 4:

Superior to Three Musketeers, by the way.

00:04:35 - 00:04:44 | Speaker 5:

Well. But not superior to Snickers. She says, well, what does a Milky Way taste? I said, Milky Way tastes like a Snickers bar without the nuts. You know what I mean?

00:04:44 - 00:04:45 | Speaker 6:

Yeah. I don't know if that's true.

00:04:45 - 00:04:48 | Speaker 5:

It is true. Is it true? That's pretty much what it is.

00:04:48 - 00:04:50 | Speaker 3:

It's a baby of a Three Musketeers and a Snickers.

00:04:50 - 00:04:54 | Speaker 5:

Yeah. I mean, you know, it just it's got lots of nougat inside of it.

00:04:55 - 00:05:00 | Speaker 6:

That used to be my favorite candy when I was a young, when I was a child. They used to say I had.

00:05:00 - 00:05:10 | Speaker 3:

had the taste of an old man, though. They made it sound like Milky Way's, you had to be a certain age to have a Milky Way. You ever have a dark chocolate Milky Way? Garbage. No. They made that. That's awesome. Is that the healthy addition? No.

00:05:11 - 00:05:23 | Speaker 2:

She opens the thing up. She looks at it, like, literally, like, what is this? Like, kind of, like, examining it. And then she bites into it, and I looked at her mouth, and her mouth looked like it was okay. Everything was good.

00:05:23 - 00:05:25 | Speaker 4:

Did the sides of her lips curl up into a smile?

00:05:25 - 00:05:43 | Speaker 2:

She kind of likes it. Well, no, she sat there, and I was, is this stale? No. No, she ate it, and I was thinking to myself, I'm like, how is it that you could go your entire grown-ass life and never have had a Milky Way? Which surprises me sometimes when I hear that people have never had certain things.

00:05:44 - 00:05:49 | Speaker 4:

People, you guys all go crazy when I say I've never had Sonic, and I've never had Rally's Checkers.

00:05:49 - 00:05:56 | Speaker 2:

Yeah, but that's not that odd. Rally's Checkers and Sonic are offshoot places. No, they are not.

00:05:56 - 00:05:58 | Speaker 3:

Bro, are you kidding me? They're not made of disrespect.

00:05:58 - 00:06:04 | Speaker 2:

Rally's and checkers, those are the ones you go to when the McDonald's line is too long.

00:06:05 - 00:06:18 | Speaker 3:

Regardless of whether or not there are a ton of them, there are certain places that have certain things that you have to have. And Rally's fries, I don't care if there's one in the state, you have to go there and get them.

00:06:18 - 00:06:21 | Speaker 2:

Yeah, it's awful. Do you eat at a Hardee's too?

00:06:21 - 00:06:25 | Speaker 4:

I've had Hardee's before. Hardee's is the same as Carl's Jr.?

00:06:25 - 00:06:31 | Speaker 2:

I don't know. Yes, I think so. Same thing. Yeah, I think so. Angela, what's up? It's Mojo in the morning. Hi.

00:06:32 - 00:06:34 | Speaker 1:

You know what else lasts forever?

00:06:34 - 00:06:38 | Speaker 2:

What's that? Hot sauce. Hot sauce. That's right. You're right.

00:06:39 - 00:06:46 | Speaker 1:

Even when it's crusty around the top, it is still good. Hot sauce.

00:06:46 - 00:06:53 | Speaker 2:

Well, it's because of what it is it made of. It's made of, like, vinegar and a bunch of, like, I don't know, jalapenos or something.

00:06:53 - 00:06:56 | Speaker 1:

Like Cannon would say, it's made of everything is bad for you, so.

00:06:57 - 00:07:00 | Speaker 2:

I don't know. I think that stuff is, I think hot sauce.

00:07:00 - 00:07:02 | Speaker 4:

I think hot sauce actually is not bad for you at all.

00:07:02 - 00:07:08 | Speaker 2:

Question for you, Angela. Would you eat a candy bar from Halloween right now?

00:07:09 - 00:07:19 | Speaker 1:

I just did. I had a Snickers the other day. I found in my granddaughter's little Halloween little thing. And there was no whiteness on it at all. And it was great.

00:07:20 - 00:07:21 | Speaker 2:

It satisfied, right?

00:07:22 - 00:07:29 | Speaker 1:

Yeah. I mean, to me, to Easter. and then Easter to Christmas. Sure. You know, that's the way it goes.

00:07:29 - 00:07:34 | Speaker 2:

Snickers still satisfies even if it's stale. We're okay with it, right?

00:07:34 - 00:07:40 | Speaker 1:

Yeah. Well, mine wasn't, but I've never had a stale Snickers. Stick them in the freezer. They even last longer.

00:07:40 - 00:07:47 | Speaker 2:

I think, honestly, I think even a stale Snickers bar is better than a cauliflower. You know what I mean?

00:07:47 - 00:07:49 | Speaker 1:

Well, duh. Can I tell you something?

00:07:50 - 00:07:50 | Speaker 2:

Yeah.

00:07:50 - 00:08:11 | Speaker 1:

I'll be talking to you guys because even though my radio, my old-fashioned radio mojo, does not work in the new building that I'm at. Oh, no. Yeah, so I have to listen to the great app, iHeart. I love the delay. It's sad. The delay's sad, you know? It's a little bit too delayed.

00:08:11 - 00:08:20 | Speaker 2:

But that's why we do the contest of a 95th caller because it gives us enough time to get everybody involved.

00:08:20 - 00:08:22 | Speaker 1:

You have them post Malone tickets.

00:08:22 - 00:08:30 | Speaker 2:

Yes, and text contest, too. Everybody's open for that one because that's all random. I know. But enjoy your talk. Angela, thank you.

00:08:30 - 00:08:31 | Speaker 1:

Don't listen to them, guys. I know.

00:08:31 - 00:08:33 | Speaker 2:

These guys, you know what?

00:08:33 - 00:08:34 | Speaker 3:

Don't steer him the wrong way.

00:08:34 - 00:08:38 | Speaker 2:

They're all rich. They're bougie and rich. They throw away good stuff.

00:08:38 - 00:08:48 | Speaker 4:

Godiva for all of them. Oh, God. Godiva is garbage, too, by the way. I would rather have Snickers than have Godiva. Really? I am not in that tax bracket.

00:08:48 - 00:09:03 | Speaker 1:

Well, you know, the Russell Stouffers, we were in Dundee because my grandson took regionals. We're on our way to state. Oh, congratulations. That's awesome. Russell Stouffers. The Russell Stouffers, go online. They got, like, 50% off all their Valentine's Day stuff. Ooh.

00:09:04 - 00:09:05 | Speaker 4:

Okay. Thanks for that tip.

00:09:05 - 00:09:15 | Speaker 2:

These guys won't touch it. It's old. The holiday has already passed. Can I tell you something? I also love Saunders, too. Saunders is the best. Who is that?

00:09:15 - 00:09:24 | Speaker 1:

Remember back in the day, you go get the cream puff with the white. I love that. Oh, Saunders. It used to be in the Penobscot building.

00:09:24 - 00:09:25 | Speaker 3:

Shout out to the Penobscot.

00:09:26 - 00:09:33 | Speaker 2:

Yeah. I never had Saunders. That cream puff. Saunders? You never had Saunders? No. Sanders. Whatever you say. No, Saunders.

00:09:33 - 00:09:34 | Speaker 3:

Is it better than Ghirardelli?

00:09:35 - 00:09:49 | Speaker 2:

Yes. Ghirardelli's good, though. Ghirardelli's really good stuff. Saunders is to Detroit What Jaredelli is to San Francisco We gotta get some Saunders And do you ever remember Whatchamacallit the bumpy cakes You ever had a bumpy cake

00:09:49 - 00:09:51 | Speaker 3:

You saw me when I was at Okay shout out to Mad Nice They make their own bumpy cake in house Is it good? It is phenomenal

00:10:00 - 00:10:34 | Speaker 1:

Download the Moto Casino app today. This is the Bishop Statement at Bishop State Community College. We want you to hear what our students, educators, and business leaders have to say.

00:11:15 - 00:11:59 | Speaker 2:

My name is Patrick Pettway, and I am getting my Associates of Science and General Education with an emphasis in business administration. To me, it was a no-brainer. When you go out here and you're looking for funding to go back to college as a 40-year-old man, I got six people in my household. The extra money just doesn't just grow out of trees. For me to be able to be accepted through FAFSA and to have Bishop State pay for all of my tuition, not only that, but the curriculums, you know, they make it so easy to understand on their website. Like I said, I'm a 40-year-old man, so I don't use technology too much, but it was very understandable where I needed to go. It was extremely fast these past two years. Things have just moved in a total different type of way. It's like its own moving entity to see things manifest the way that they do.
