You guys know, girls especially are notorious for deep diving. like whomever their friends are going out with right Megan like we can go we can become like the best detectives in the whole entire world if I'll find out your social security I mean it is crazy what we are capable of so I actually before I even tell this story I want to know what's the best thing that you have found out about deep diving somebody that your friends or family were dating so Wes was in Toronto all last week and over the weekend for a business trip but that's where he grew up so it was kind of cool because he was there for work and then he ended up staying a couple of extra days um to hang out with with some of his old friends and i met one of his closest friends his name is rich we call him well they call him crazy rich for i mean that's a story for another day um so i met him once but literally only for like an hour or two wes goes out to dinner you know with him over the weekend and realizes over the course of this dinner that rich had deep dived me like really really deep dived me on the internet and apparently that's just how he is like this is something that he does for everybody so it wasn't just me but west said he's like what west goes he knew things about you that i didn't even know about you after dating you for over a year like like he knew all about where i went to school like elementary middle high university whatever who i was engaged to that dude's history remember my ex like my ex-fiance all about him um knew like where he grew up because he was a fellow canadian knew all about andrew my ex-husband and andrew's business and how much it cost to open a location of andrew's family business i mean to the point where west was like okay rich you're actually scaring me here with how far you went in deep diving.

When you do deep dive, you're not supposed to tell the person that you did all that research. And he did. Wait, was there a reason why he did such

a deep dive on you? He just does this. Wes said he does it all the time and then he'll pretend that he doesn't know anything and he'll, he like kept asking Wes questions about

me. But then

I already knew the answer. So he would ask questions

to see if Wes knew the answer to it and then when Wes didn't know the answer, did he go?

He'd be like, well, did you know?

Oh, wow. That's weird. Wow. Yeah. Should I be scared? How does he get your information in? I mean, I know you're somebody that's on the radio.

It's not that hard. I was going to say, I've Googled all of us, and Shannon is the easiest to find all the information on.

Okay so What did you find out About the person that either Your friend was dating or you were dating by doing a deep dive, by going through. Deep dive, yes. Deep dove? Exactly. I don't think I've ever thought of doing that.

I get bored. I get very bored. And then I get disappointed because when I Google myself, because, yeah, I've done that before, kind of disappointing. I thought more stuff would pop up, but not really.

Do you ever, like, when you look at yourself and see what the deep dive is, you're like, crap. And then you got to, like, put stuff out there to make it look better?

It's not. It's more the Google images that pop up are so disappointing for me. They are. Because it's never flattering. It's always the worst photos.

Good morning. Yes. Good morning, you guys. Okay. So, you know, I exchanged numbers with this guy, and he was, you know, cool. Everything was good when we met, very respectful and everything. And I did a background search on just his number, which led to, like, his Facebook profile. On his Facebook profile, someone had screenshotted a picture of his sex offender. He was on a sex offender's list.

Oh, my God. That's when you definitely need to do a deep dive on somebody, right?

It's creepy. It's creepy, right? Yeah. Yeah. So they screenshotted it, put it on his Facebook profile, and then they locked him out. So they couldn't get it off of there.

Wow. So I will say this. When you hear a story like that, if you're dating somebody, you probably should do a deep dive. What's up, Bailey?

Hey. I was just calling in. My dad actually had his ex tell my stepmom that he was the father of her twins. And so she went, like, full-blown detective and, like, looked at his bank statements and, like...

Can you go back a little bit? Because I'm confused. Your dad told his ex that what?

So his ex-girlfriend claimed that he was the father of her twin girl. Okay. And he wasn't. And so my stepmom at the time went detective and, like, looked at his bank statements and everything.

And she did that to try to find out more information. And did she find out, has your dad gotten any shady stuff in his past?

No, no. No, but it was funny because, like, she looked at his bank statements because he apparently paid her, like, $100. when she told him.

That's interesting. I'm still not following. Yeah.

Thank you. So I was out and about in downtown Toledo, and this guy, he just kept approaching me, wanting to have conversation with me. And finally, I caved and exchanged numbers with him. So he got a hold of me on, like, Facebook. So I had gotten his, like, first and last name that way. And my girlfriend is one of those, like, FBI type. and we did a background check on him and he had an extensive criminal history of like domestic violence, kidnapping. Oh, God. Oh, God. Yeah, like the whole nine. It was crazy.

Wow. And it's wild because you're going out with him and you're hanging out and then how soon after you were dating him?

No, we didn't even make it that far. You didn't?

I was out and about and he just kept approaching me in the same bar. Finally, I ended up leaving. But I did pay even exchange numbers with him because I'm like a non-confrontational type, unfortunately.

Has anybody ever had a friend do a deep dive or family do a deep dive and you didn't believe what was going on? And like, you're like, I'm not, you still don't even believe it. Like if you find that information out that they're, they've got this criminal past or something going on, you almost kind of put the blinders on sometimes. And you got to be careful that you do that. your real name right um no it's not okay an alias what's going on so um my sister and i are estranged but she does have um obviously social media so i check up on her every once in a while and realized she had recently got engaged and uh the gentleman looks quite older than her she's uh in her mid-20s so i did a deep dive on the guy uh i had to find his mom and you know siblings first and then finally got to him uh he's actually 20 years older very recently divorced with three

children oh my gosh wow so not only lied about his age but lied about a family and all the other

stuff going on well i don't know that he lied she's probably very aware of it but it's just The whole situation is very strange because my family, who I'm estranged from, doesn't have anything to do with my children. But now they're inheriting these stepchildren. So it's just like the whole situation is just weird. But I had to do a deep dive because I'm like, this guy looks a little more senior than she does. And sure enough, he's significantly older, older than me. And her and I are 16 years apart. So, yeah, it was just odd. But, yeah, deep dives are my favorite thing to do. and I will continue to do them because I will out somebody if I need to.
