Shannon you say that you just recently started realizing that you knew that you were turning

00:02:27 - 00:04:08 | Speaker 4:

into your parents when well it's not even just recently it's more and more lately there are certain things that are I'm either doing or are happening to me that and I have to say I love my mom and dad so much like I have I have the best parents in the whole entire world and the greatest stepmom in the whole entire world as well um but there are certain things that as i get older i'm going oh god because there are great right there are great things about your parents that like you want to take after them and there are other things that you're like please god no um and one of them is starting to happen to me and actually i can remember as a little girl grasping like hugging my grandma grace's my mom's mom's arm and looking at her skin and being like something is weird about her skin it's very soft and like crepey i guess is the word okay and as my mom aged i watched her get the same skin as my grandma grace the other day i am applying my neutrogena body lotion and i go holy spit i think i'm getting the creepy skin oh like scaly skin not what a daily no that means it's just dry yeah creepy is a little different it makes me feel like uh that line from freaky friday and it's like i look like the crypt keeper it's kind of like that thank god not on my face i love you muse med spa and lindsey and the botox that i get two or three times a year. But on my body it is happening and now I know I'm officially turning into my mom.

00:04:08 - 00:04:10 | Speaker 7:

Is it something that I can see or would I

00:04:10 - 00:04:16 | Speaker 4:

have to feel it? You can see it. You can actually see it. It's just creepy. I don't know how else to describe it.

00:04:16 - 00:04:17 | Speaker 7:

Are you getting little wrinkles there though?

00:04:18 - 00:04:19 | Speaker 4:

It's like wrinkly.

00:04:19 - 00:04:21 | Speaker 7:

It's like rings on a tree.

00:04:21 - 00:04:25 | Speaker 4:

It shows how many years you are. You don't have to say it like that.

00:04:25 - 00:04:29 | Speaker 7:

Well that's what it is. It's better than the alternative.

00:04:30 - 00:04:33 | Speaker 4:

When you do that, it's not It's not taut and tight anymore.

00:04:33 - 00:04:35 | Speaker 7:

Gotcha, okay. Yeah.

00:04:35 - 00:04:39 | Speaker 4:

You could have just said, I don't see it. It looks like a knee. Bad foot.

00:04:40 - 00:04:47 | Speaker 7:

I noticed, by the way, my hands start looking like my dad. Like my dad's hands. I'm getting dad hands now.

00:04:47 - 00:04:48 | Speaker 4:

The spots? Yeah.

00:04:48 - 00:04:49 | Speaker 7:

Yeah, well, I'm getting like.

00:04:50 - 00:04:50 | Speaker 4:

The liver spots?

00:04:50 - 00:04:54 | Speaker 7:

No, not liver spots. So they're nothing discoloration-wise. It's like.

00:04:54 - 00:04:54 | Speaker 4:

My hands.

00:04:54 - 00:04:57 | Speaker 7:

The hands of a working man on a non-working man.

00:04:57 - 00:04:59 | Speaker 4:

I have seen his granny hands. Look at those hands. Yeah.

00:05:00 - 00:05:02 | Speaker 2:

They are veiny and thin skin and ugly.

00:05:02 - 00:05:10 | Speaker 1:

The other thing is I'm getting my dad's veins on my legs, too. I don't know if they're necessarily all varicose veins, but I'm getting like old man veins.

00:05:10 - 00:05:11 | Speaker 2:

There is a treatment for that.

00:05:11 - 00:05:11 | Speaker 1:

Is there?

00:05:11 - 00:05:13 | Speaker 2:

We got to get you compression socks.

00:05:13 - 00:05:25 | Speaker 1:

You know what? I had to wear them one time in my life when I had my heart surgery, when I had the aneurysm. I will say this to you. Compression socks might actually be the most comfortable thing that I've ever met. No, they're not.

00:05:25 - 00:05:35 | Speaker 2:

That's how you know you need them. I had to wear them when I was pregnant. it and i agree with you mojo i kind of liked them y'all not fashionable but the nike dry fits

00:05:35 - 00:05:57 | Speaker 1:

telling you different these ones i didn't buy at nike though i bought them at the medical supply store oh you bought them at binson's binson's yeah the other thing too shannon is i've noticed lately and i think you witnessed this when i was recording with zach the other day um uh i now have i'm now getting my old my dad's old man sneezes oh my god you went

00:05:57 - 00:06:08 | Speaker 2:

Okay, so I was just typing something on my computer, and all of a sudden, and Mojo's not in the studio, but I could hear it in my headphones, I hear this, I was like, what just happened?

00:06:09 - 00:06:15 | Speaker 1:

What is it about, like, when your dad used to sneeze, he would sneeze, and he could-

00:06:15 - 00:06:15 | Speaker 2:

Open-mouthed.

00:06:15 - 00:06:39 | Speaker 1:

It could literally, like, the vibration on the windows, you know, because of that thing. And one time, he sneezed so loud, I swear to God, I think he woke up the entire house. it was crazy um what at what age does this happen is it like i don't know i didn't think at my age right yeah what is it what is it that well i want to know because you know megan's you're not quite

00:06:39 - 00:07:20 | Speaker 3:

there but what is it that about your dad that you do not oh my god let me tell you i'm so youthful and perfect that i just it's so hard being around all of you guys falling apart because i'm just so put together what what do i not want from my dad so my dad's very lucky i think he looks way younger than he actually is he does not have much gray hair which is crazy because he's in his what mid-60s now and he has still mostly black thick hair that man's hair is insane and then he's covered in like a butt ton of freckles it's super cute you don't see any skin imperfections on him he's naturally a redhead so like he's got like he is oh yeah if you look at him closely he has

00:07:20 - 00:07:27 | Speaker 1:

more freckles on his body than like regular skin i think the irish age well right no i'm irish

00:07:27 - 00:07:33 | Speaker 5:

what are you talking about we don't eat well and we drink a lot and we're white we don't

00:07:33 - 00:07:53 | Speaker 1:

there's something about like milk the irish and the english for some reason are you could not be more wrong and and for some reason black don't crack i wish i was black because black people don't age this is true we haven't been through enough give us good skin you're hiding the letters from us and i'm still pissed about it your dad looks like your brother kev he's got a

00:07:53 - 00:08:04 | Speaker 7:

forehead of hair he still got it that's amazing speaking of my dad i will say this i feel like when i turned 30 my yawns even though i like saying yarns my yawns started to end with the loud

00:08:04 - 00:08:25 | Speaker 2:

like i used to just be able to like yawn like now it's like and when you do it do you stop like i I call it the target run when my mom does this very certain shuffle to quickly get into a store and the first time I did it I was like oh my god when you realize it, it hits you hard

00:08:25 - 00:08:31 | Speaker 4:

alright, I'll admit mine, I pushed myself off the couch the other day, both shoulders cracked not one, both

00:08:31 - 00:08:32 | Speaker 6:

and I was like, this is it?

00:08:32 - 00:08:36 | Speaker 7:

we are not old people I feel like you dislocated yourself

00:08:36 - 00:08:42 | Speaker 6:

well the first one went, you're like, that's wild and then I pushed off of the other one and I was like, no, I'm dying

00:08:42 - 00:09:11 | Speaker 1:

it's it's wild and lydia i don't know if you can do this but see if you can call joe show because i was out with joe a day before last and we were out together and i started doing something that my dad does and he was so embarrassed in the store he had to leave um but see if you can get him on the on the air while we you know pick up calls and and do all this uh stuff and read some of these texts because i did something that was totally my dad I like this one 734 says Asians don't raisin

00:09:11 - 00:09:21 | Speaker 2:

That is true I've never heard that saying Okay I hope that person That sent it is Asian To make it okay I pray I pray

00:09:21 - 00:09:36 | Speaker 1:

00:10:00 - 00:10:00 | Speaker 4:

That is Anna Watt.

00:10:00 - 00:10:05 | Speaker 3:

No. Terry's too soon for this conversation.

00:10:06 - 00:10:21 | Speaker 4:

I feel bad. I feel bad. And by the way, this is Terry. Terry is one of Joe's producers on The Joe Show. And tell him it's an emergency. Tell him he hates emergency. Just say, emergency, your dad needs to talk to you on the phone.

00:10:23 - 00:10:30 | Speaker 1:

Okay, you went in sick. I'm going to put you on hold for a second. She's so stressed out. You just stressed her out.

00:10:31 - 00:10:32 | Speaker 4:

Terri's the greatest.

00:10:33 - 00:10:33 | Speaker 1:

She really is.

00:10:34 - 00:10:49 | Speaker 4:

She's brand new to radio, but she's like one of those people that has like an old soul. So she has to be a responsible one. Oh, my God. All right. Here we go. I think they're going to pick us up now. Jump right on it and wrestle it up to the side.

00:10:49 - 00:11:06 | Speaker 3:

That's crazy. I wish I could do that. I want to do that. Where I go for a run, there are six gators that, I mean, my God, they're like twice. This is an emergency, Joe. I just want to get on one of their backs. I just want to ride it for a second, surf it like a surfboard, hang out on the top of its head like a bird.

00:11:06 - 00:11:08 | Speaker 4:

I think Joe saw a gator.

00:11:10 - 00:11:15 | Speaker 3:

We love you, Charles. Thank you so much for calling in. News is next. Ashley, what's on the way with that?

00:11:15 - 00:11:17 | Speaker 2:

We are going to talk about that Jeffrey Etchman.

00:11:17 - 00:11:25 | Speaker 4:

Joe said, F your emergency, bro. I got a soda dude. It sounded like he was coming to us. Oh, he's playing a song.

00:11:25 - 00:11:26 | Speaker 3:

It's a long one.

00:11:27 - 00:11:27 | Unknown:

Okay.

00:11:29 - 00:11:32 | Speaker 4:

I've always liked listening to other radio shows

00:11:32 - 00:11:36 | Speaker 3:

Hit the post

00:11:36 - 00:11:40 | Speaker 1:

What a professional

00:11:40 - 00:11:47 | Speaker 4:

Come on now, pick up Joe Show

00:11:47 - 00:11:57 | Speaker 3:

Here, turn the music off Joe, we're talking real quick

00:11:57 - 00:12:08 | Speaker 4:

and I want you to just tell the story really quick we're talking about turning it turning into your dad how you you know shannon's talking about how she's turned into her parents i turned into my dad tell the story the other day in the store

00:12:08 - 00:12:53 | Speaker 3:

when you and i were shopping and what i did oh my god we were in a store thank god it was literally only me my dad and then uh the person working in there and we are asking and my dad was asking i don't know why i keep calling my dad you were asking about the shirts and the sizes and how they fit and as you were asking about it he's like hey um so is that a is that a medium and when he would say me he would get really loud and he would fart as he was doing that and and then when the guy was talking to him i don't know what was going on but my you were just letting it rip the whole entire time i've never it was like a 30 second continuation of

00:12:53 - 00:13:11 | Speaker 4:

farts my dad so my dad what he would do is he would just start farting audibly in front of people like including like your friends and you would sit there and you'd be like dad don't you know that you people can hear this and i started doing it i didn't even realize i was doing it i'm

00:13:11 - 00:13:17 | Speaker 3:

so used to my farts you realized you were lifting up your leg you ever met with somebody who tries

00:13:17 - 00:13:22 | Speaker 1:

to hide it by being loud but then they miss it so they're just loud and then they fart

00:13:23 - 00:13:27 | Speaker 3:

Medium. Yeah, Megan, you're talking to the guy who doesn't.

00:13:28 - 00:13:30 | Speaker 4:

I love you, buddy.

00:13:30 - 00:13:43 | Speaker 3:

00:13:45 - 00:13:46 | Speaker 4:

00:13:49 - 00:13:56 | Speaker 4:

00:13:56 - 00:14:01 | Speaker 2:

turned 30 he started yawning differently I noticed when I turned 30 I would do that groan every time

00:14:01 - 00:14:16 | Speaker 4:

I stood up that's truth right you're stretching out that ah it's your bones cracking right yes always and I don't even know I'm doing it it is funny how that just starts happening Amanda what's
