Well, sometimes it happens Within the first few minutes of arriving at work You just want to turn around You would say, I'm going to go back to bed I should not be here It happened yesterday when I was at a home improvement store that i you know i was repairing this attic leak i had from that ice storm and i went to get some paint and while i was there the poor kid working the paint counter he was mixing cans of paint for a customer but he must not have put it in the shaker correctly or maybe i don't know if it was still open or if the shaker wasn't tightly clamped down on it because a five gallon bucket of paint exploded everywhere as soon as he started the machine it was raining paint on the countertop the floor even the poor customer that was waiting there for it had paint on him i felt so bad for this poor kid because it was just you just look at one of those days like okay i royally effed up i'm going back to bed i should have called what do you do

I was driving to the radio station to do my night shift, and a tire flew off of a semi right on Halstead Road. And I was watching this tire whip across the road and trying to get it on video. I think I told you about this before Super Bowl. Yeah. Yeah, so it literally changed direction and flew towards my car. Oh, my God. And I sped off. I hit you. Yeah. Jeez. That's a sign that I shouldn't go into a car.

I mean, sometimes I try to take it as a sign when the ice is bad and I slide right past the radio station driveway. You should slide right back home. I'm just going to follow my car back home.

Yeah, that's right. What about you, Mike and Megan? And you guys have one of those where, Mike, I know you have because we've talked you off the ledge a couple of times. Yeah, air check day. Anytime we have to go over what we did on the air, I'm like, well, I should probably just call in sick tomorrow. Megan, you have anything?

Mornings by 6.05, I'm texting Ellen going, why did I come in today? I think one of them has to be when my computer's completely shut down and broken. When our computers break here, we have to run to secure rooms that are behind locked doors, and they're very far away. And the show is starting, and they take four minutes to reboot, and then we have dead air, and then everything's going wrong. And then six things are playing at once, and everybody's like, who's working over the gate? Get it together. It's not my fault. It's the computer.

It's so bad. And you know what? I'm doing the show in Tampa Studios. They just got their brand new studios. Let me just say this to you. Every computer logs on. It's so nice. What is that like? I know. I know. Mine, the last time that I had it was the phone call from Alicia Bailey. Will you record 20,000 commercials? I know you're walking to your car right now. But will you do? will you planet fitness has a new sale and will you record 8,734 new commercials because they really want to sell the, uh, the, the new deal. That's mine usually. So I give her grief on that one only because the other day, the other day she stopped me and I got, I said to her, Alicia, you got it. Okay. You got to give me a little more forewarning than this whole thing. hey good morning um so i worked at henry ford macomb hospital i was a technician and I was given an order to do a blood draw and the lady's port was clogged so they had to get a nurse nurse couldn't do it they got an intern the intern couldn't do it they got a doctor then they finally had to go to the surgeon finally got this lady's blood drawn and I bagged it up I sent it down to the tube system and forgot to put labels on it oh so lab called they're like you have to Because it's policy, medical field-wide, anybody will tell you, if you send labs down without a label, you've got to redraw. Do it all over again. They throw it right in the trash. And so even after that, like, I'd be walking in the break room, and the nurse, she will eyeball me. She can't stand me because of that. I thought, oh, my God. I did the walk of shame down the hall. I'm like, yeah, we've got to redraw. I'm sorry, we don't have labels.

Yeah. Honest mistake.

It's 8 a.m. You're already thinking about bedtime just starting over tomorrow. Right.

What makes it worse is I was like nine months pregnant at the time, and I went running down to the lab trying to catch it before they opened up the tube. So I had the labels in my hand. I'm nine months pregnant running down the hall, banging on the lab door. Don't open that tube.

Hey, love you guys. First time caller, long time listener. Yeah, so, you know, I was working January, like a couple years ago. We had a big snowstorm, and my boss was like, you know, it was a big snowstorm. You guys should just go home. And so I got super excited, and I'm thinking, sweet, this day was going to go bad. And I get to go home at, like, noon. Great. You know, I work till 5. Well, I get out of work, and right as I pull out, there's a stop sign, and two cars collide and completely just ruin my day.

Oh, no.

Car collides, hits me, and then, you know, my car thankfully wasn't totaled, but I'm out here now stuck in front of my workplace. Workers are coming, checking me, like, hey, you want to come back into work? I'm like, no. Oh, one of them are. I'm good.

Wait, that didn't just happen now, did it?

No, this was like three years ago. Oh, okay.

The way you said that, I thought, oh, my God, it just happened to you.

Yeah, no, it would be something different. If it happened now, I'd be probably screaming and crying.

Do you ever think to yourself that somebody's watching out for you because you forget something at home, you go back into the house, go get it, and then a few moments later, you drive by and you see a car accident just happen?

I feel, I am that way all the time.

Well, I think that with KP's tire almost smashing into a windshield, I think, man, just like 10 seconds in either direction she could have either been involved in an accident

i would have just called in sick today moment i was driving into work at about 5 15

and something ran out in front of me and I went over it hard and I pulled over and all of a sudden I could smell skunk and the whole interior of my car and myself and I just reeked of skunk. Oh, it's the worst. Wait, did that happen today? No, that happened last week. Oh, does it still smell? Because I did that. It still smells today.

Yes, I was going to say mine smelled, I swear, for two weeks.

I actually hit a skunk. It was awful.
