00:02:30 - 00:02:31 | Speaker 3:

I did some jazz hands for you

00:02:31 - 00:03:03 | Speaker 5:

Thank you, thank you Happy Friday You know it's going to be a good day When we find out in our pre-show meeting That Megan slept in her shoes last night the word word is it wasn't in a fun way by the way that's amazing so either you had a really amazing day yesterday or a hell of a day yesterday or you for some reason were so eager for today that you decided that you were going to sleep in the shoes so you didn't have to put them on this

00:03:03 - 00:04:32 | Speaker 3:

morning neither no why why did you sleep in your shoes i have been so busy for like three weeks It's driving me nuts. Actually, remember, some people pointed this out right before COVID happened. I said we were due for a new plague. I take full responsibility for COVID. But I'd like to rephrase that. I'd like a new mini plague. I'd like an actual two-week plague this time. Because I need a little breaky break. I'm very busy, and I don't like it, and I miss how not busy I was during COVID. Because I was so exhausted yesterday. I was so tired. I didn't get home until super late I've been running around like a chicken with its Head cut off for days And I sat on my couch And I fell asleep with my dinner in my hands That I did not eat My jeans were still on and button Not even unbuttoned What were you thinking My shoes were still on And I was sitting up I feel like a 50 year old man Sitting up, lights on Head off to the side My neck hurts so bad this morning my back hurts my ankles hurt i did not get go to sleep and i am in a bad mood a bad bad mood and i have a long day ahead of me today and i could i could cry i could cry thinking about it welcome to being 30 i just feel like a 50 year old man who got off of a 12 hour third shift

00:04:32 - 00:04:58 | Speaker 5:

at the factory and just chose to ignore his family i i want i've always wanted to know the the people that are so crazy with their time that do sleep with their shoes on are there any people that are listening because when you said that you had your shoes on you're sleeping all i kept thinking to myself was i bet you that there's got to be a listener that for some reason sleeps with what they're going to wear to work that day and just gets up brushes their teeth and walks out the

00:04:58 - 00:05:00 | Speaker 4:

Can I tell you something? I know I'm.

00:05:00 - 00:05:19 | Speaker 5:

mom one of my my great girlfriend she's also my neighbor she has four kids and she said the mornings excuse me are just too crazy um and she goes to work as well after right after she gets the kids off to school so she has the kids sleep and what they're wearing to school oh my gosh really and in the morning they just make breakfast you know they eat their breakfast put their shoes

00:05:19 - 00:05:53 | Speaker 6:

on and she sends them out to the bus stop well i did the whole thing of if i leave my shoes on I'm definitely not going to fall asleep. And I took a bet, and I lost that bet. But when I was in, I shouldn't admit this, but I will. When I was in Catholic schools, you wear, like, shorts and a T-shirt underneath your school uniform. And I slept in those shorts and T-shirts every single night. I just woke up, put my skirt over it. I had cut off the collar of a polo and sewed it into the sweater, just threw the sweater on, and just went to school like that every single day, not actually wearing my proper uniform. Just whatever was easiest.

00:05:53 - 00:06:20 | Speaker 3:

is it's funny that you did that you did the whole cutting in stuff because luke goes to a catholic school and when they have mass day they have to wear these sweaters and he hates wearing dress shirts so i went upstairs to his room and i'm like what in the world he cut took the he took a dress shirt and cut it so that it he puts it just basically the collar over his head okay and then just has it there just everything else is so it's a little dicky yeah here's the thing

00:06:20 - 00:06:21 | Speaker 6:

If you are looking for innovators.

00:06:21 - 00:06:23 | Speaker 3:

Did you say my son is a little dicky?

00:06:23 - 00:06:23 | Speaker 6:

That's what I said.

00:06:24 - 00:06:28 | Speaker 2:

Yeah, because that's what we had him for skiing, the little dicky. It's just the turtleneck part. Oh, okay, the turtleneck part.

00:06:28 - 00:06:44 | Speaker 6:

If you are looking for innovators, you need to hire somebody who went to Catholic schools or any school with a uniform because those kids know how to break the rules while still following the rules. Those kids are innovators when it comes to redesign of uniforms.

00:06:44 - 00:06:46 | Speaker 3:

What's going on, Helena?

00:06:47 - 00:06:57 | Speaker 4:

Hi. So my grandma would always sleep in a blazer, sitting up with her shoes on. I never saw her sleep another way.

00:06:58 - 00:07:05 | Speaker 3:

Was it because she had some kind of acid reflux or something and she couldn't lay down? Or what was the story of why she would be so properly dressed sleeping?

00:07:06 - 00:07:16 | Speaker 4:

I have no idea, honestly. She just, she wouldn't sleep another way. She'd sleep maybe two hours a night. And then she'd be up the rest of the night cleaning the house, cooking.

00:07:17 - 00:07:28 | Speaker 3:

I would honestly be scared. If I walked in a room and saw my old grandma pretty much sitting in the chair there, I'd wonder if she was okay. I'd go feel for a pulse.

00:07:28 - 00:07:29 | Speaker 1:

Oh, me too.

00:07:29 - 00:08:08 | Speaker 3:

And Megan. Just do a loud cough. Did your brother notice you sleeping like that or was he not home last night? He was not home. I let Luke go to the Red Wings game last night with his buddy, and he and Evan were, like, not coming home, and I'm thinking, I got to stay up late. I got to stay up late and watch him. And I went and looked at the game, and it was, like, not even in the third period, and it was almost, like, 9.30 or something. And so I'm like, oh, I got to be responsible and stay up for him. Didn't. Fell asleep.

00:08:08 - 00:08:09 | Speaker 5:

And what a game, by the way.

00:08:10 - 00:08:14 | Speaker 3:

Well, I don't even know because I fell asleep, but he didn't get home until well after midnight.

00:08:14 - 00:08:27 | Speaker 2:

And I hate being a curmudgeon, but because of this job, we are the crankiest parents about teenagers staying out late. I'm not going to bed if my daughters are out in Detroit or something. I want to make sure they get home safe.

00:08:27 - 00:08:30 | Speaker 3:

What's up, Chad? Hey. Yeah.

00:08:31 - 00:08:35 | Speaker 4:

Hey, I want to know if Megan had socks on under her shoes there.

00:08:36 - 00:08:38 | Speaker 3:

Did you have socks on underneath your shoes?

00:08:38 - 00:09:13 | Speaker 6:

Somebody listens to a Slightly Messy show. so yes only because the shoes were still on but if you listen to slightly messy show you learned about the basket that i have in essentially my living room where i can't sleep with socks on it is the worst feeling in the entire world and i have a basket that i uh will throw my socks in from my couch so that i don't have to wear them while i'm relaxing just in case i fall asleep or if i take a nap uh but no i had the socks on which you would think that would have woken me Yeah, but that's how tired I was. I didn't even get woken up by my socks still being on my legs.

00:09:13 - 00:09:16 | Speaker 3:

See, you can sleep with socks and shoes.

00:09:16 - 00:09:22 | Speaker 6:

And I hated it. And I woke up this morning, and I seriously considered taking a shower because I hated how I felt.

00:09:22 - 00:09:28 | Speaker 3:

Do you practice your basketball shooting abilities, too, by not getting off the couch and hitting that basket from the couch?

00:09:29 - 00:09:31 | Speaker 6:

Oh, yeah. I got really good at it. Like, really good at it.

00:09:31 - 00:09:41 | Speaker 2:

Chad's also heard us talk so many times about how Megan will never let us in her house. Now I'm realizing she's got a basket of dirty socks by the front door. I do. Maybe I understand it now.
