well are those things that like as an adult you probably should know how to do but maybe you don't and so both of my kids are I don't know if it's just them or if it's everybody because my allergies are raging right now yeah my allergies my asthma is so so bad and the kids this is the first year that it's really affected them as well and so I took them to the pediatrician and my pediatrician had told me that for lucy especially she's 10 she's like you can actually start giving her like the adult version of zyrtec or allegra claritin whatever she doesn't have to take like the the kids dose the nasty liquid anymore and so i said to her okay the adult stuff like you have to i only had pill bottles i think it only comes in pill in a pill form and she's never taken a pill before and so i was like lou like this is the only way to get the medicine in your body and she was freaking out that i was going to try to make her take a pill and at this point smith was like well you know his allergies were bad he's like do i need to do this too i'm like you know what you both need to learn how to take a pill because you can't be an adult and not know how

to take a pill so like you just can't all right sorry what pill are you giving smith and the same

thing the allergy bill i just threw a zyrtec his way i'm like it's not gonna kill him he's fine So I gave them both a Zyrtec, and I tried to tell them that I could cut it in half, and they could swallow it with liquid. That was not working. So they ended up, Lucy had a great idea. She put it in a banana, and they both just ate it that way. Like, with a slice of banana. Honest to God. They would punch the pill. That's a thing. Who cares?

We give our dogs peanut butter around a pill.

Yeah. It worked so well. A big pocket for kids. And they were both so excited that they had just learned how to take a pill, and they could do it now.

Did either of them have issues, like, where they were like,

But does it work the same way? Yeah. Well, your body's just absorbing it regardless of how you get it in. I don't believe it.

What does WebMD say? I always thought that children's liquid stuff was always tasty. You don't think that the stuff was tasty?

Some of it is, but some... So they only like anything that's flavored grape. If it is any other flavor, they're not doing it.

So Lynn, you know what's funny is that I had a buddy of mine that could not swallow pills And his parents would send him to school with his stuff And he would sit there and take them This was high school And we went to an all guys Catholic school and every guy would just sit there and laugh at this guy because he was like, it was like literally a pill like this, but for him, it felt like he was choking on a humongous hot dog or something like that. You know, I used to watch movies and wonder how the people would like take pills dry. That's what I mean. I can do that. And they would like smack their throat. I do that a ton. Really? Oh yeah. How? What kind of throat do you have? I build up a little saliva in my mouth. Oh, it's the saliva. Yeah.

You ever take one drive with confidence and then it gets stuck in your throat? Yes, it is the worst. It's weirdly scary. What are you doing? There's water here.

A couple of texters here. I'm not calling in because I do not want to get made fun of and have my friends play this audio, but I am 38 years old and cannot swallow a pill. This one obviously is a voice detector. I can't swallow. And then it started saying a whole bunch of stuff that I don't understand what they were saying, but I think they were voicing to text us. I've been voicing the texting sometimes on my way into work this morning. This morning I was doing it with a buddy of mine, Chris, and I'm trying to voice to text, and all of a sudden, like random stuff that you could, and usually it shuts the radio off, but I had my phone, you know, playing the iHeartRadio app too. So I think it was picking up the iHeartRadio app, and so I started sending them things that we were saying on the radio show, listening in to the replay show, that 5 o'clock replay show. Dave, what's up, Dave?

My cousin Sam has Mott applesauce snack packs in the fridge every time he has to take a pill. And he's in his 50s.
