Mojo in the morning show. So my niece got married and we got some pictures back from the wedding and I was very excited to see that the pictures look amazing, especially the picture of my brother tony this was uh i think pre-wedding it might have been the day before the wedding and we were all like hanging out wearing jorts and i didn't even notice that we were together he was he had a pair of jorts on we were sitting poolside at a hotel where the wedding was taking place and uh my brother tony was the nicest guy in the world I love him so much He was one of the big influences in my life Until I saw his jorts on it

00:01:58 - 00:02:02 | Speaker 4:

Now I'm completely digging it out Were they cut jorts? Were they the ones you cut from pants?

00:02:03 - 00:02:13 | Speaker 3:

Or were they meant to be that way? Mike, these were good old fashioned jorts That probably You just bought right off the hanger At Mervin's

00:02:13 - 00:02:20 | Speaker 6:

Oh my god, you guys Mervin's at Southland Mall, man That was my place I loved Mervin's

00:02:20 - 00:02:44 | Speaker 3:

He probably did buy them at Mervin's That's how long ago he bought the things. Now, I just want to ask this question to the listeners because we don't have to necessarily, you know, pound on people with jorts because I'll be honest with you. I know that we probably have some other listeners that like jorts. But if you see somebody that's wearing something that you're just like, that thing went out of fashion a long time ago, do you do a fashion intervention on them? Like, could you do a jort intervention with my brother?

00:02:45 - 00:02:57 | Speaker 4:

You have to. My wife had to do that with me in cargo shorts. I used to rock cargo shorts and pants for the first few years of our relationship, and they would magically disappear to the point where I had to go, where are my cargo pants at?

00:02:58 - 00:03:03 | Speaker 6:

That's one that won't go away. Cargo shorts? It just will not go away, and it needs to go away. Yes, I agree.

00:03:03 - 00:03:53 | Speaker 3:

And the problem is with all of this stuff is that there is a difference between wearing jorts, like you said, where they're kind of cool jorts. Like they're like the cooler, hipper, cut, you know, whatever. you look good you know younger guy wearing them and the cargo shorts that you're oh those are kind of cool cargo shorts maybe tighter cargo shorts but the big baggy cargo shorts the ones that if you put your wallet and your keys and they go like to the middle of your calf they go yeah you know the ones where the guy's walking he's got so much stuff in his pocket they almost look like they're like you can you know what's the uh the instrument uh that uh like it's like Is it the maraca or something? You become like a musical instrument as you're walking. You can never sneak up on anybody with a pair of cargo shorts with stuff in your pocket.

00:03:53 - 00:03:59 | Speaker 4:

And the hard part about those two is they're so practical. Like, they're practical. Like, those pockets are practical. They just look ridiculous.

00:03:59 - 00:04:04 | Speaker 5:

See, I got to push back on all of you. I'm a fan of it all. Kevin, and you're a fashion god.

00:04:04 - 00:04:07 | Speaker 6:

What are you talking about? You can pull off all this stuff.

00:04:07 - 00:04:11 | Speaker 5:

That's what I'm saying. If you can pull it off, then wear it. Yeah.

00:04:11 - 00:04:13 | Speaker 4:

I would love to see you pull off.

00:04:13 - 00:04:19 | Speaker 5:

I literally have a pair of cargo pants right now. Oh, yes, you do. With flare bottoms.

00:04:19 - 00:04:22 | Speaker 6:

Look at his cargo pants, Mojo. And he looks cool.

00:04:22 - 00:04:23 | Speaker 3:

Let's see. Let me see. Let me see.

00:04:23 - 00:04:25 | Speaker 6:

You pull it off. I don't know. I want to see him.

00:04:25 - 00:04:27 | Speaker 3:

Are we making fun of you right now? They're kind of tight.

00:04:28 - 00:04:29 | Speaker 5:

It's not going to matter to me.

00:04:29 - 00:04:30 | Speaker 6:

They're tighter.

00:04:30 - 00:04:36 | Speaker 5:

That's the problem. People don't wear what they're comfortable with because they feel as though they'll be shamed. You got to wear what you want to wear.

00:04:37 - 00:04:45 | Speaker 4:

Nothing's out of style. All right. Look at him. I love to wear what I want to wear. And I feel comfortable with a lot of stuff. But sometimes other people, sometimes my wife is right. Let me see those.

00:04:45 - 00:04:46 | Speaker 3:

But those are cargo camo.

00:04:47 - 00:04:48 | Speaker 6:

It doesn't matter. They're still cargo.

00:04:48 - 00:04:59 | Speaker 3:

No, cargo camo are cool. He's cool. Plus, honestly. I know. Kevin, please don't take offense to this. You could pretty much, you could wear a paper bag and you get away with it because there's a difference.

00:05:00 - 00:05:06 | Speaker 2:

between in my case a fat white dude wearing it and a cool black guy wearing it total difference

00:05:06 - 00:05:30 | Speaker 5:

in it okay you can't pull it off thing that has come back that i can't i can't support yet and i said this about crocs and now i own a pair of crocs so maybe a year from now i'll be changing my tune the bucket hat uh see it doesn't the bucket hat was cool when i was like in middle school and i have yet to see one person wearing a bucket hat now because they're everywhere that i that I look at and go, that looks really cool. That's another one of those things.

00:05:30 - 00:05:39 | Speaker 4:

They just don't look cool. Do you agree? No, I do agree with you. I think they look really, really silly. They look dumb. Yeah, I can't imagine. I mean, I already look 12 and then put a bucket hat on me

00:05:39 - 00:05:41 | Speaker 5:

and I'm like, wow. Yup, can't do it.

00:05:42 - 00:05:56 | Speaker 2:

I'm trying to find a picture of my brother in them right now because my niece sent me it, but I can't figure out exactly which thread. I hate when people do 28,000 threads and you can't figure out which one it is. Brent, what's going on?

00:05:56 - 00:06:13 | Speaker 7:

morning hi brent hi i actually uh love wearing my cargo shorts but i go to rio to cedar point mission adventure so going on roller coaster i throw my uh phone and stuff in the pockets so

00:06:13 - 00:06:23 | Speaker 2:

you know what that's probably the only thing that cargo shorts are good for is when you do go to cedar point although they do check you out now and make you put stuff in lockers uh there you

00:06:23 - 00:06:28 | Speaker 7:

That's only on Steel Vengeance. Oh, it is? Okay.

00:06:29 - 00:06:44 | Speaker 2:

By the way, I've always thought to myself, I'm like, cargo shorts, what are they meant for? Oh, yeah, Cedar Point. Honestly, when has anybody looked fashionable going to Cedar Point? Well, and a bucket hat is good for Cedar Point if you think about it. It keeps the sun out of your face. What's happening, Elaine?

00:06:45 - 00:06:49 | Speaker 6:

I'm just calling to say don't knock the jorts because they are coming back in.

00:06:49 - 00:06:53 | Speaker 2:

Oh, so you're saying that my brother was actually in style wearing these things?

00:06:53 - 00:06:59 | Speaker 6:

My almost 17-year-old son goes to the thrift store just looking for those.

00:07:00 - 00:07:04 | Speaker 2:

Coming back in? He's hoping my brother actually turns some of these in.

00:07:05 - 00:07:06 | Speaker 6:

Oh, my gosh.

00:07:06 - 00:07:09 | Unknown:

They're just above his ankles. They're so long.

00:07:10 - 00:07:15 | Speaker 6:

But for Christmas, he wanted JNCO jeans. Those are back, too.

00:07:15 - 00:07:29 | Speaker 2:

By the way, I have to tell you, I have to tell you, if all this stuff is coming back right now, My brother's closet is completely in style. He could actually make a ton of money with this. Julie, what's going on?

00:07:30 - 00:07:37 | Speaker 6:

This one is for the girls, but one thing I will never wear again is low-rise jeans. Thank you. Okay, wait. I can't.

00:07:37 - 00:07:42 | Speaker 4:

I know. I've seen low-rise lately, and I'm like, oh, I kind of wish I could pull that up. I know.

00:07:43 - 00:07:46 | Speaker 6:

No, Katie, we are not about it. I don't care.

00:07:47 - 00:07:55 | Speaker 5:

They're awful. Give me the highest rise. I want it to cover up the bottom half of my boobs at this point. That's how high rise I want them to be.

00:07:57 - 00:07:58 | Speaker 7:

They just can never come back.

00:07:59 - 00:08:01 | Speaker 2:

Thank you for the call. Cody, what's up? It's Mojo in the Morning.

00:08:02 - 00:08:06 | Speaker 7:

Hi, guys. I think Crocs are the worst thing to happen.

00:08:07 - 00:08:12 | Speaker 5:

Okay, so I said the same thing. And then I got a pair. And now I'm in love.

00:08:13 - 00:08:16 | Speaker 2:

Yeah. How many pairs do you own now, Shannon? Just the one?

00:08:16 - 00:08:29 | Speaker 5:

I just own the one. I own a white pair. My kids have a bunch of them. I just bought Lucy, like, little platform ones yesterday. I don't know. They're kind of, they're so comfy. Cody. Cody. They're ugly, but they're comfy. Two wheel or four wheel? What?

00:08:30 - 00:08:33 | Speaker 7:

Are you wearing them two wheel or four wheel? Oh, you put them in sport mode. What do you mean?

00:08:34 - 00:08:34 | Speaker 5:

Oh.

00:08:34 - 00:08:35 | Speaker 4:

Yeah, you put that back on.

00:08:35 - 00:08:42 | Speaker 5:

I've never heard, I use sport mode. I've never heard two wheel or four wheel. I put the little strap forward. That's sport mode. Yeah.

00:08:43 - 00:08:44 | Speaker 7:

That's a real rookie mistake.

00:08:47 - 00:08:49 | Speaker 2:

Thank you for the call, buddy. We appreciate it.
