00:02:20 - 00:02:23 | Speaker 5:

I'm so excited. I'm doing well. How about y'all?

00:02:23 - 00:02:28 | Speaker 4:

Doing great. First off, let me ask you this. In 2022, did you go see any concerts at all?

00:02:30 - 00:02:40 | Speaker 5:

No, honestly. I was going to see, oh, my gosh, in Grand Rapids. I'm so excited. I can't even remember. He canceled his show in May.

00:02:40 - 00:02:42 | Speaker 4:

Oh, really? Who was it?

00:02:42 - 00:02:46 | Speaker 5:

Machine Gun Kelly, maybe? No. Wiz Khalifa.

00:02:47 - 00:03:39 | Speaker 4:

Wiz Khalifa. Oh, my gosh. I saw him on the New Year's Rockin' Eve. the Ryan Seacrest thing that's my that's the extent of my New Year's I made it to that portion of the show when they actually bring on Wiz Khalifa you know it's like one o'clock in the morning at that point I actually watch you know can I tell you something I'm going to be honest with you and I'm going to complain here a little bit do you mind real quick you got tickets to see Pink okay so congrats to you so I look at everybody's New Year's okay on Instagram and I'm looking at people like what they're doing and stuff and you know now we get all excited you know because of we can just throw stuff up on our Instagram stories or Facebook or whatever you know yeah I follow Shannon's uh ex-husband Andrew he had the kids for New Year's yes his kids had a

00:03:39 - 00:03:52 | Speaker 1:

more fun New Year's than I did let me tell you something I was in bed watching the ball drop watching videos of my kids partying. Just partying.

00:03:52 - 00:03:57 | Speaker 4:

His kids had all the accoutrement. They had the 2020...

00:03:57 - 00:04:05 | Speaker 1:

The glow headbands and the necklaces and the beads. I am in bed next to my boyfriend who was so sick with the flu.

00:04:05 - 00:04:10 | Speaker 3:

Oh, my God. But both of you guys made it to watch the ball drop on TV. I was asleep at 10.20.

00:04:10 - 00:04:16 | Speaker 5:

That's true. I was going to say, it could be longer than I did. Oh, my God.

00:04:16 - 00:05:00 | Speaker 4:

It is amazing. Whenever I do see these people, I've, so I have not done a New Year's where I've done the, oh, I said breakfast come up. I have not done a New Year's. I've not done a New Year's since, you know, like where I've been out at a bar or a club or anything like that and been where they've done, you know, the ball, the ball drops and all the rest of that stuff. probably since Joe was a kid, a baby. I think that was the last time that I did it. And then Chelsea and I made a vow that I would stay home on New Year's to celebrate with the kids, pots and pans, banging them and all the rest of that stuff. I can't even get my wife to stay up with me until, you know, midnight. And my kids don't even want to stay.

00:05:00 - 00:05:13 | Speaker 1:

Yep, now Luke actually went to bed, I think, right after the Ohio State loss when they missed the field goal. As soon as that happened, I'm, like, trying to kiss. Luke, come on, it's New Year's. It happened right on the dot, and Luke wouldn't even come and give me a kiss.

00:05:13 - 00:05:16 | Speaker 2:

How old is he? You're probably not cool anymore, Dad.

00:05:16 - 00:05:31 | Speaker 1:

I'm not cool anymore, although he did hang with me and watch, you know, two horrible football games. But they actually were great football games, but it was a horrible outcome, obviously, for Michigan. But all right, hang on. Hang on the phone for a second and we'll get you set up with your prize.

00:05:31 - 00:05:36 | Speaker 2:

Happy New Year to you. Oh, my God. You just made my day. Thank you so much.

00:05:36 - 00:05:55 | Speaker 1:

What if we do this as a show? And I know we could we agree on this now. We'll hate it later. What if we agree that we'll do like a broadcast to celebrate, you know, the the new year and we'll all show up at some like wouldn't it be fun to dress up in like tuxes and nice dresses and things like that.

00:05:55 - 00:06:00 | Speaker 4:

But at 4 p.m.? But during the day. Yeah. No, I think that's a great idea.

00:06:00 - 00:06:25 | Speaker 1:

We'll do it at noon. On noon. Yeah. But wouldn't it be kind of fun, though? Like, I saw J Towers was out at the Greektown Casino. And I thought to myself, and first off, they were sitting at a broadcast table. I'm like, that does not look very fun to be out there at a broadcast table. I want to do something where we have a big ballroom. Like, Jingle Ball, you know, was to us, you know, bring an artist in, do something kind of fun like that.

00:06:26 - 00:06:33 | Speaker 2:

I'm in. I know. But, yeah, we celebrated it like when the ball drops in London or Rome.

00:06:33 - 00:06:36 | Speaker 3:

Spike's got a bedtime. Right. I just want to say.

00:06:37 - 00:06:40 | Speaker 4:

Did you guys, did anybody catch CNN's broadcast or were you just watching Ryan?

00:06:41 - 00:06:44 | Speaker 1:

I flipped over there because I wanted to see if they actually drank.

00:06:44 - 00:07:04 | Speaker 4:

Okay, so they didn't drink. It was Andy Cohen and Anderson Cooper had a dry New Year's, but they said they drank after the fact. a dry, you know, whatever, broadcast. But did you see that Don Lemon missed the countdown to midnight in the Central Time Zone because he was too busy dancing to back that ass up? Worth a mention.

00:07:06 - 00:07:11 | Speaker 1:

By the way, when Don Lemon's having more fun than us guys, come on.

00:07:11 - 00:07:12 | Speaker 3:

Seriously, something's wrong.

00:07:13 - 00:07:18 | Speaker 1:

What is going on? Why is it that nobody wants to do a New Year's fun party? I hate New Year's.

00:07:18 - 00:07:37 | Speaker 2:

I did my time. The worst holiday. We did all those years in our 20s where we'd go to all the overpat clubs and pay $12 for a house well drink that tastes horrible and you can't even get to the bar and the DJ's playing bad music and you had to pay $80 for parking. It was fun for a minute, but yeah, we're done.

00:07:37 - 00:07:39 | Speaker 3:

Has anybody ever had a fun New Year's Eve?

00:07:40 - 00:07:41 | Speaker 2:

I don't know.

00:07:41 - 00:07:44 | Speaker 3:

Like, I've only ever had bad New Year's Eve.

00:07:44 - 00:07:47 | Speaker 4:

Yeah, something bad always happens. It never fails.

00:07:47 - 00:07:50 | Speaker 2:

And expectations are too high. You just set yourself up for failure.

00:07:50 - 00:07:55 | Speaker 3:

Yeah, I spent my New Year's Eve holding some hair back, so that was- Wait, you were in New York?

00:07:55 - 00:07:59 | Speaker 4:

You were in New York. I was in New York. Were you in Times Square for the ball drop? No.

00:07:59 - 00:08:24 | Speaker 3:

So apparently, if you're from New York, you're a local. You don't go anywhere near Times Square. Everyone hates it down there. So KP, you were visiting someone you knew that lived there? Yeah, so I had a friend who I actually met at that Forbes Under 30 event months ago. Yeah. Who was hosting, and she had me come out there, and it was super fun. But yeah, it got a little bit too crunk, some of us. and i was in charge wait a second you're in you're that close to time square you could not

00:08:24 - 00:08:30 | Speaker 1:

convince this friend let's go because of you know we can get good pictures we were uh we were going

00:08:30 - 00:08:57 | Speaker 3:

to run down after after the fact and like just like be around the confetti and whatnot but the line to get into time square even just a couple blocks away it was like a it was almost like a riot how many people were out there and it was so hard to just they were blocking the road like That's how many people were trying to get down to Times Square. And people will wait there for 24, 48 hours in a diaper just to get down to Times Square.

00:08:57 - 00:09:00 | Speaker 2:

I would have went for just the Planet Fitness hats. That's what I would have done.

00:09:00 - 00:09:20 | Speaker 1:

I'm sure we can get you one of those. Hey, can I bring something up about KP? So I'm down in Tampa, and I saw him just a little bit ago, and I had to have a little conversation. so KP was remember the big thing during Jingle Ball was that there was a romance between KP and Jed from the Joe Show

00:09:20 - 00:09:22 | Speaker 3:

rumored romance okay

00:09:22 - 00:09:24 | Speaker 1:

these guys well you spent the night in his hotel room

00:09:24 - 00:09:27 | Speaker 3:

yeah because you were sick and we had a show to plan

00:09:27 - 00:09:59 | Speaker 1:

yes okay that was exactly so KP was making plans to go in to be down in Tampa and be with Jed over the holidays and And I got to golf with Jed, like, I don't know, day number two of me coming down here. And he looks a little, you know, kind of sad, so to speak. And I said to him, I go, hey, so what's the story with KP? And he's like, I really don't want to talk about it. And I go, come on, tell me what's going on.

00:10:00 - 00:10:34 | Speaker 2:

And he goes, well, you know, we decided, we decided. Whenever I hear a guy say we decided, I know it wasn't him that decided. That means the woman decided. He said, we decided to focus more on our careers and to be better friends because we didn't want to mix business with pleasure. And I go, what the hell is that all about? Then I find out, ready for this? I was the reason why they possibly broke up because KP was afraid that she was going to upset me by dating Jed in inter-office dating. When have you guys ever felt that I would ever be upset by radio drama?

00:10:35 - 00:10:36 | Speaker 1:

He lives for that.

00:10:36 - 00:11:24 | Speaker 3:

Right? No, this is a big no-no for me. I came to the conclusion. It was a tough one, but I'm glad, you know, I guess, I don't know if he's okay now, but Jed and I had a very civil conversation about moving forward as friends. And I know people are disappointed. I was getting DMs from listeners about it. They were very upset, actually. Really? What were they saying? Well, they said, well, I actually had a comment on one of my pictures of someone going, you know what? I'm glad that you're in New York, but I really think that you should have just, you know, gone down with Judd and like, love is love, KB. You should just do it. And it was like a very long message. Like, oh my gosh. People are invested. I got so many people because I posted a story of me at the airport.

00:11:24 - 00:11:26 | Speaker 4:

Oh, I thought for sure you were going to Tampa. Uh-huh.

00:11:26 - 00:11:27 | Speaker 3:

I know.

00:11:27 - 00:11:32 | Speaker 4:

I was going to reach out to you. But I'm like, I just want to see what's next. Like, what's the next one? Unfortunately.

00:11:32 - 00:11:34 | Speaker 3:

Sorry, guys. I didn't go to Tampa.

00:11:34 - 00:11:55 | Speaker 2:

I need to ask the listeners this. You guys all know Jed. Jed obviously was part of our show. And then Joe and Jed and Ashley had their podcast and then eventually moved down to Florida to do their show in Florida. And we all love him. You guys now know KP. You've spent enough time with her. Listeners love her. Don't you think they would be great together?

00:11:55 - 00:11:55 | Speaker 4:

Yes.

00:11:55 - 00:12:03 | Speaker 2:

But, but, but, no buts. No. Listeners, listeners, come on. What do you guys think about this?

00:12:03 - 00:12:05 | Speaker 4:

I wanted it so bad, too.

00:12:05 - 00:12:06 | Speaker 2:

Should they mix business with pleasure, Shannon?

00:12:08 - 00:12:24 | Speaker 4:

I think this business is just different. Like, it happens all the time. We know morning show hosts that are married to one another. It's very different than a traditional office setting. And you guys would have been a really cute couple. I just say but, because if they're not feeling it, they're not feeling it. I can't force it, even though I want you so bad.

00:12:24 - 00:12:29 | Speaker 1:

I know. No, the long distance thing is the only thing for me. I think otherwise they would have been perfect together.

00:12:29 - 00:12:32 | Speaker 2:

Should he dip his pen in her company ink? No.

00:12:33 - 00:13:07 | Speaker 3:

Cut that out. I feel like it would be like. I still think it's not over. No, I would feel like it would be way better if I could just date people like here because then if anything happens, I don't have to worry about it. I always have to be around, you know, the Joe show. And I feel like if anything happens like beef wise or like fights or anything, I don't know. I feel like it would be awkward. You know, I can't talk about the funny things that happen on my dates. But what if that doesn't happen? I know. But I kind of want to have funny stories about dates. I kind of want to continue, you know.

00:13:07 - 00:13:10 | Speaker 1:

Didn't you just get done watching all those great Hallmark Christmas movies?

00:13:11 - 00:13:18 | Speaker 4:

Dude, I found myself watching a very corgi Christmas one night. That's how low it got for me, okay? It was bad.

00:13:19 - 00:13:53 | Speaker 2:

844-MOJO-LIVE. 844-665-6548. text 95500 I'm looking at some of these uh these texters here and uh look at this yes they would be a power couple uh look at this other one here oh my god KP you broke my heart when I saw that you went to New York instead of Florida I mean there are there are uh I think people were into it actually it's funny I think that the best thing that came out of Jingle Ball um because we all got sick from it but the best thing that came out of it was uh was this potential romance that I thought

00:13:53 - 00:14:28 | Speaker 3:

was going to turn into something you know what's funny jed jed pulls i went to his instagram and he has got he's got ladies up the wazoo commenting on his photos are you jealous no i don't i don't feel jealous i just think reading every comment i was not reading every comment but i was jed and i were texting about i was like can you send me some of the weirdest dms you've gotten because we were going back and forth and i sent him some of mine that are just really funny and he's got But he's got these ladies begging for dates in his DMs. There must be something about him. Yeah, I don't know. Jed's got that, you know, I don't know, something special.

00:14:29 - 00:14:41 | Speaker 2:

It's that book he read. What was the book called that he read? I don't know. You think we all know he talks about so much. The 10% Man or something like that. Joanna, hi. Joanna, what do you think about KP breaking Jed's heart?

00:14:42 - 00:14:52 | Speaker 1:

Oh, it's horrible. But they would be such a power couple. It's so great to listen to them on the radio. They could take radio so far with the two of them. It would be amazing.

00:14:52 - 00:14:52 | Speaker 2:

Yeah.

00:14:53 - 00:14:55 | Speaker 1:

And they're both so cute and sexy.

00:14:56 - 00:15:00 | Speaker 2:

Quick question. Why would I be upset by anything like that?

00:15:00 - 00:15:04 | Speaker 7:

this i don't understand that kp i don't think you should be upset at all mojo no no i'm not upset

00:15:04 - 00:15:21 | Speaker 3:

no kate i i think kp doesn't know me well enough to think that i would be upset by this maybe i you know maybe the busyness of the holidays in my sickness made her feel like i was upset by it but i think i was just honestly just trying to get 2022 over with but maybe he's really worried that

00:15:21 - 00:15:26 | Speaker 7:

she's gonna end up in love and fall in love and go to florida and leave you that's true that's

00:15:26 - 00:15:33 | Speaker 4:

I told Mojo yesterday, I called him, and I said, the only relationship I'm worried about is mine with yours.

00:15:34 - 00:15:42 | Speaker 3:

Aw, well, isn't that sweet? By the way, I'm not as cute as Jed, and no girls like any of my pictures on social media. What's up, Poncho?

00:15:43 - 00:15:46 | Speaker 7:

Good morning, everybody, and Happy New Year.

00:15:46 - 00:15:52 | Speaker 3:

Happy New Year. You're a longtime listener of the station. You love Jed. What do you think about KP and Jed?

00:15:52 - 00:15:57 | Speaker 7:

KP needs the data. I mean, you only live once, so take the risk, KP. Oh, boy.

00:15:58 - 00:15:58 | Unknown:

Yeah.

00:15:59 - 00:16:16 | Speaker 3:

I think so, too. So I said to Jed, I go, hey, I had a talk with KP last night, and I told him that we were going to bring this up on the air. And he was, it's kind of like that kid, you know, in school that you're trying to console. He kind of had this look on his face like, oh, okay, well, I hope everything works out okay.

00:16:16 - 00:16:19 | Speaker 4:

He wrote me the letter that was, will you date me? And I circled no.

00:16:22 - 00:16:26 | Speaker 3:

Why do I feel like you guys have that kind of a relationship with each other?

00:16:26 - 00:16:26 | Speaker 1:

You would.

00:16:28 - 00:16:31 | Speaker 3:

Helena, what's up? It's Mojo in the morning. We'll get to the scam in a second.

00:16:32 - 00:16:46 | Speaker 6:

Hi. So I texted in, and I said that I don't think the timing's right for them. KP just moved back downstate. You know, she just started a new job, so I think she's definitely trying to focus on that. And I think, you know, give it some time.

00:16:46 - 00:16:48 | Speaker 2:

So how much time? How much time, in your opinion?

00:16:48 - 00:17:00 | Speaker 6:

I think, you know, at least six months to a year or so. You know, starting a new job is definitely hard. hard and I think she's she's doing the right thing by focusing on that and getting that settled

00:17:00 - 00:17:10 | Speaker 4:

thank you I that really did play a big role in it too I just feel like I was just getting adjusted and I didn't want to make any promises to anybody when I was still trying to figure things out for

00:17:10 - 00:17:24 | Speaker 3:

myself exactly oh man well listen you don't want to you don't want it to be a situation where then one of you guys finds another person and then what if you know right and then you guys are 40

00:17:24 - 00:17:47 | Speaker 4:

years old yeah but that makes it better because i feel like every person that comes into your life like they change you or they they help you grow and so if right now is not the time and i don't feel ready and but in like a couple years i am after learning from others because i'm only 23 i'll be 24 in march like are we really at that point where we want to you know be serious i don't

00:17:47 - 00:17:51 | Speaker 3:

know i i just don't feel that way you know listen to michelle's situation michelle what happened to

00:17:51 - 00:18:21 | Speaker 7:

you well i i definitely think you should go for it i was in a similar situation and i was a little younger than you and for this and that reason i did not go for it and 43 years later we are together and we lost out on 43 years look at that so you should not let any opportunity go you don't know if it doesn't work out your friends if it works out look you didn't lose 43 years of your

00:18:21 - 00:18:41 | Speaker 3:

wife wow and jed practically is like a 43 year old even though he's only 26 or 27 jed by the is it not jed at 26 years old is jed not act like he's 43 years old by the time by the time you get to jed he's gonna be you know having one he's gonna have one of those bathtubs that has a door on it

00:18:41 - 00:18:48 | Speaker 1:

wake up with mojo in the morning and laugh at the phone scans this is philip rip and clip

00:18:48 - 00:19:03 | Speaker 2:
