All right, it is Mojo in the morning. Oh, my God, you guys. KP has officially become an adult. She's an adult. She's been now adulting in ways. This morning, I sent KP a text message, and I was going through the Starbucks line. And sometimes she'll go, can you pick up my coffee for me at Starbucks? and I just wanted to make sure before I pulled out if she didn't order a Starbucks or whatever. And so I reached out to her on text and she reaches back to me and says,

00:02:02 - 00:02:28 | Speaker 3:

I'm making big moves. I bought a Nespresso. That's perfect. Oh my gosh. And I've been holding back on the Nespresso because I have a thing about single-use plastic and I realized that you can recycle the aluminum pods. Yes, you can. Send them right back. Literally, I'm like, I'm not about to pollute the earth for my convenience. Anyway, the Nespresso has changed my life. It's amazing. Oh my God, I feel alive. Wait, what's a Nespresso?

00:02:28 - 00:02:29 | Speaker 5:

Is that like a Keurig machine?

00:02:29 - 00:02:51 | Speaker 3:

But better. Yeah, it comes in pods that just taste better, in my opinion. And you can, like it came with a frother. I paid extra for the frother. And oh my God, my life has changed. I'm like, I feel like a new woman. I feel like an adult. You look like an adult today. I have also, this week, mastered the slick back bun. Oh, wow.

00:02:51 - 00:02:54 | Speaker 5:

Wait, so you got two adulting things that you've done. Yes, you go.

00:02:55 - 00:02:55 | Speaker 3:

It looks good.

00:02:56 - 00:02:59 | Speaker 5:

The slick back bun, is that a hard thing to do? Because I've never had one.

00:02:59 - 00:03:26 | Speaker 3:

It was for the longest time for me. For some reason, I looked like a wet rat, but now I look like a adult. It just looks good. I don't know. I feel like I am in a new phase of my life where I just want to be more put together. not only for my own mental health, but for just the company's sake, I'd have looked like a bum when I come to work. Yeah, so I've been setting up my clothes the night before.

00:03:26 - 00:03:28 | Speaker 5:

Oh, my God, that's another one.

00:03:29 - 00:03:42 | Speaker 3:

I've been trying to get up consistently on time, which is really hard for me because I'm not a morning person. I've never been in my whole life. So trying to be better. Plus, Lydia's out, and she's my best friend, and I need to show up while she's out.

00:03:43 - 00:03:57 | Speaker 5:

So I've been trying to be better. Okay, so this is interesting. Let's shout out, what is the adult thing that you just recently did that you want to call yourself out for? This is a really good moment right now. Show off that you are an adult. How old are you, KP?

00:03:57 - 00:03:58 | Speaker 3:

25.

00:03:58 - 00:03:59 | Speaker 5:

25 years old.

00:03:59 - 00:04:02 | Speaker 3:

My frontal cortex is fully developed now.

00:04:02 - 00:04:03 | Speaker 5:

Holy Christ.

00:04:03 - 00:04:07 | Speaker 3:

And my collagen production is now reduced, so I'm getting forehead lines. That'll be fun.

00:04:07 - 00:04:11 | Speaker 5:

That's amazing. I got some masks for you. I need some help.

00:04:11 - 00:04:15 | Speaker 3:

You need to answer my text, Megan. I need your recommendation on a new tanning mitt, too.

00:04:15 - 00:04:40 | Speaker 5:

844-MOJO-LIVE, 844-665-6548 is our telephone number. Text is 95500. I always thought that the most adulting thing that I ever did was when I first leased a car. Like, when I leased a car. And back then, it was before you could just direct deposit to the thing. They had, like, those little coupon books where you had to, like, send in and do it. Writing a check to me was, like, one of those things. Have you ever written a check before?

00:04:40 - 00:04:41 | Speaker 3:

I have written a check.

00:04:41 - 00:04:42 | Speaker 5:

Is it a weird feeling?

00:04:43 - 00:05:00 | Speaker 3:

It does feel weird. I have a little template I wrote out, so I don't forget how to correctly do it. Oh, my God, KP. But you know what another adult thing is? What? You don't leave your car below a quarter tank. My mom used to yell at me all the time, your car should not be half fuel below a quarter tank. You need to, so having your car consistently.

00:05:00 - 00:05:08 | Speaker 4:

So that you're not like rolling into the gas station, which has happened to me once or twice, is an adult thing, in my opinion.

00:05:08 - 00:05:24 | Speaker 9:

I felt like I was all grown up when I started making my own doctor and dentist. Yes. And showing up for him. I still very much remember like doing that for the first time and putting it in my little Franklin planner or whatever the heck I had.

00:05:25 - 00:05:27 | Speaker 2:

Having a Franklin planner is an adult thing.

00:05:28 - 00:05:31 | Speaker 9:

Good paper planner. Loved a good paper planner. Still have one.

00:05:32 - 00:05:38 | Speaker 2:

What's going on? It's Mojo in the morning. What's up, Eddie? Hey. How you doing?

00:05:38 - 00:05:39 | Speaker 1:

First time, long time.

00:05:39 - 00:05:49 | Speaker 2:

Well, I love it. Eddie, Eddie. Cav's out today. Zach's in the other room answering calls. So, Eddie on the phone. What's going on?

00:05:50 - 00:06:05 | Speaker 3:

What's up? I just graduated high school, and I'm 19, and I was like, I need more things to mature. I need to start doing more things. I already work with kids, so I was like, you know what? I'm going to start going to the farmer's market, and I've been going to the farmer's market every time. Look at this guy. Give it up for him.

00:06:05 - 00:06:08 | Speaker 2:

He's an adult. The farmer's market.

00:06:08 - 00:06:11 | Speaker 7:

We're working local. You'll find good women there, too, if you're single.

00:06:12 - 00:06:15 | Speaker 3:

And you know what? I do. I find good ass...

00:06:15 - 00:06:23 | Speaker 2:

Oh, you got to cut that out. You can't say that on the radio. What's going on? How you doing, Lourdes? Hi. Hi. What's your adulting thing?

00:06:23 - 00:06:32 | Speaker 5:

um i just bought my first very first car at the age of 20. i love it. what did you get?

00:06:32 - 00:06:43 | Speaker 2:

really big. uh 23 trailblazers. look at you. did you get a good deal on it? uh yes for sure. that's incredible. congratulations. what color did you choose?

00:06:45 - 00:06:52 | Speaker 5:

um i choose the limited color that was um what's it called? um iridescent pearl. look at iridescent

00:06:52 - 00:06:57 | Speaker 2:

And Pearl, if you can even have a car that says iridescent in it, you're an adult. That's amazing.

00:06:57 - 00:06:58 | Speaker 5:

I know, right?

00:06:58 - 00:07:02 | Speaker 2:

We love it. Congratulations to you. That's a big moment. Sam, what's up? It's Mojo in the Morning.

00:07:03 - 00:07:17 | Speaker 1:

Hi. I just have a comment for KP. Yes. I love her. She's so cute. But KP, you know this espresso machine's not going to last. I saw you at the car contest run so fast to go get your Starbees when there was fresh coffee there.

00:07:18 - 00:07:19 | Speaker 7:

That was for Mojo.

00:07:19 - 00:07:34 | Speaker 4:

Okay. And I will also say that, as somebody who also spent way too much money on an espresso machine, you will save so much money. So much money. It justifies the purchase so quickly that you will not want to go back. Unpopular opinion.

00:07:34 - 00:07:39 | Speaker 7:

The only thing at Starbucks that's good are their cold brew coffees with Kramer. Yeah, that's the same with me.

00:07:39 - 00:07:44 | Speaker 4:

Their coffee is crappy. Their fall coffees. Bye, guys. Bye, Sam. Love you, too.

00:07:45 - 00:07:46 | Speaker 2:

Carly, what's up?

00:07:47 - 00:07:47 | Unknown:

Hi.

00:07:48 - 00:07:48 | Speaker 2:

Hi.

00:07:48 - 00:08:02 | Speaker 6:

My comment basically is that I had to sign up my three-year-old son for school, and when I was talking to them, I felt like I should have referred them to an older adult and not me, because it felt very weird to tell my own son's information.

00:08:02 - 00:08:09 | Speaker 2:

Oh, isn't that weird? So that's an adult moment, Mom? Is that that little one that's right there that I can hear?

00:08:10 - 00:08:12 | Speaker 6:

No, that's my nine-month-old.

00:08:12 - 00:08:13 | Speaker 2:

Oh, wow. So you got your hands full.

00:08:14 - 00:08:15 | Speaker 6:

I do.

00:08:15 - 00:08:29 | Speaker 2:

You know what? Here's the deal. You know it's an adulting moment when you have the two that are running around getting you crazy And you actually remember what you got to do and you get dressed in the morning That's an adulting moment for you as a mom What's going on, Dee?

00:08:30 - 00:08:30 | Speaker 7:

Hi, good morning

00:08:30 - 00:08:32 | Speaker 2:

Good morning, what's happening?

00:08:33 - 00:08:36 | Speaker 7:

Nothing at all, just in the car, on my way to work, heard the comment and I had to call

00:08:36 - 00:08:39 | Speaker 2:

Yeah, what's your adulting moment that you'd like to share?

00:08:39 - 00:09:12 | Speaker 7:

um i just told him i said i'm 30 turning 33 and i finally started transitioning my own address picked up my own mailbox yes that's great yes you can't make your insurance is about to go up babe yes everything is linked to my mom's address my doctor's office everything is mom i'll use my mom my kids school address use my mom and everything to my mom get ready for the paper bills i know And I'm like, you know what? We're grown now. Let me just start getting my oatmeal so I can know where everything is at.

00:09:12 - 00:09:19 | Speaker 2:

Here's the thing, though. That's a big moment. Now you just got to remember to go check it. That's when you realize that you truly is an adulting moment.

00:09:19 - 00:09:24 | Speaker 7:

Oh, you got to pick up your keys from the post office. I'm like, wait, what? What is that?

00:09:25 - 00:09:28 | Speaker 2:

Congratulations. Nick, what's your adulting moment?

00:09:29 - 00:09:57 | Speaker 8:

Oh, man. So I just started working full time out of college about eight months ago. And for those first six months, I was just rolling out of bed at the last second. And, like, two months ago, I realized, you know, maybe getting up early would actually kind of benefit me. So I started waking up at 530 and going to the gym before work as opposed to after and, like, actually trying to get a good start to the day. And also, I realized, like, with expenses and stuff, I made a spreadsheet.

00:09:57 - 00:10:04 | Speaker 2:

Your expenses, too? Yes, I did. Between student loans, rent, car insurance, all that.

00:10:04 - 00:10:05 | Speaker 5:

Buddy, how old are we?

00:10:06 - 00:10:06 | Speaker 2:

23.

00:10:07 - 00:10:07 | Speaker 5:

That's amazing.

00:10:07 - 00:10:10 | Speaker 3:

I have a spreadsheet too, Nick. Good for you. I have a spreadsheet. I update it every month.

00:10:11 - 00:10:13 | Speaker 5:

Seriously, give this guy just a nice applause.

00:10:15 - 00:10:18 | Speaker 3:

There's something magical about this spreadsheet. It just makes you so excited.

00:10:19 - 00:10:23 | Speaker 4:

Yeah, but the first time I made that spreadsheet, I cried. The formulas in, it's awesome.

00:10:23 - 00:10:27 | Speaker 3:

Oh, I don't write the formulas. I buy a template from somebody else. Math is now my goal.

00:10:27 - 00:10:33 | Speaker 5:

We're proud of you, buddy. As a dad, I'm proud of you, my friend. Good job, pal. Thanks, bro. Have a good one. Take care of yourself.
