talking off the air about this kp is our producer she's 20 what are you three years old right four 24 years old, she lives with her grandma and grandpa who are wintertime snowboarding down in Florida. They go down to beautiful, sunny, warm Florida, and they're coming back after being gone for months, and now KP is frantically trying to figure out how she's going to get the house cleaned in time to have them come back.

Wait, is it a mess? It's not a disaster, but it's a mess. It's funny because my grandma told me she was coming home Sunday, and I get this text. She's like, I'm coming home tomorrow. And I'm like, oh my gosh, I have to clean the entire place in less than 12 hours because I work for half the day.

Wait a second, so she decided to move it up a little bit? Yes. Did she not see the weather forecast?

Oh, no. I don't know. And it's funny because I typically get a little upset with them because they like to drive from Florida to Michigan without stopping or sleeping. Like, they stop to go, you know, get McDonald's because old people love McDonald's and then take the dog out. But they don't. Wait, wait. Why did you drag people, old people who like McDonald's? No, she's actually right. She's right. They always have the coupons. They're like, oh, you want a Big Mac? It's because they get the coffee for, like, a discount.

We can get two meals for one. I'm like, okay. Yeah. Stop, stop. They drive straight through from Florida to Michigan.

Yes. I feel like my Gramps takes it as a challenge. and I'm sorry, y'all are in their 80s. I feel like you've had enough challenges.

Aren't 80-year-old grandpas and grandmas like sleepy people? Don't they take naps all the time?

No, my grandpa had surgery a couple weeks ago. He takes Adderall, doesn't he? No, he does not. He should because I honestly think that's where I got my ADHD. But he had surgery a couple weeks ago and couldn't drive, and they are just, he's still go, go, go. Like they are always go, go. Like they built houses growing up. My grandpa's always working on projects. He's in remission for Hodgkin's lymphoma, and he's still going, going, going. Oh, good for him. They're amazing. Anyway, I realized last night that they had stopped at a hotel, and I was like, oh. So we are listening to KP now and not driving the entire night all the way through, and it's good for me because it gives me more time to clean the toilet because I have not dusted or done anything wait like a month have you kept that basil plant alive no i haven't

so much you better go get a replacement i know yeah and i just know that as soon as they come

home everything that i quote unquote cleaned is gonna get re-cleaned uh so that's great yeah

you by the way you know this reminds me of remember when your parents would go away for the weekend and you would have like friends over or you know you could have like friends over like Even on your parents at work And you had to clean up Before they came home And then they called you and said they were coming home earlier That's awful

and then you realize you never did.

Talk about somebody who was young in her 80s.

But she would never drive.

We would find her making out in the bench at the park with her boyfriend. Oh, really? Really? Yes.

Shani's granny was fun. She was frisky. But she would never drive all the way through to Florida in one day. That's unbelievable. I have done that drive once as a little kid, and all I remember is how miserable it was. Chelsea's done that drive a couple of times, like in the last couple of years since Joe's moved down there. She's had to stop off in Atlanta or North Carolina or something like that just to kind of get a night's rest. That's amazing that your 80-plus-year-old grandparents drive straight through. And they don't switch drivers, right? Because grandma doesn't drive that much.

No, gramps doesn't like gram drive. Oh, my God. Definitely not. Yeah, and they do that with a dog, too.

To cure my loneliness. Aww. I love them. And I've said this before on the air. I don't like being alone I hate it It's like my least favorite thing Is not having people around me Because I grew up with You know I'm the oldest of six kids And then all through college I lived with roommates I had you know four or five roommates And living alone has just never been something I like And having them with me Even though they you know They're old and they're my grandparents I still love them And I love having their company

By the way for those that don't know this KP's grandparents and KP Live in a senior living area Why don't you invite some of the old folks

You know what, it's funny you mention that because all of winter I haven't seen a single old person and I feel like they're inside and then yesterday, my neighbor right next door was sweeping her driveway and I have not seen her since literally like- Maybe they're all down in Florida and they all decide to go. I know. The villages. I know and I'm like, wow, you guys, nice to see y'all again. And she's like, hi, Kristen, Instagram parents coming home and I'm like, actually tomorrow, Janet, nice to see you. Hi, Janet. Perfect name.

By the way, does it not appeal to you at all? Like when you hear this and you know that, you know, Shannon, that she's living with her grandparents, doesn't it make you think that, oh, guess what? She's one step closer to enjoying a little golden girl's lifestyle.

Honest to God, that is my dream, though. Like, I told Wes, who, like, we're getting married at some point. But I'm like, at some point, I'm going to kick you out of the house because I just want to live with three other girls. So just know this. Like, either you're going to die before me or I'm going to put you somewhere else because I really need to live like the Golden Girls to end my life.

Honestly, it seems very appealing, doesn't it?

It sounds like so much fun. I know. Yeah. You would see the biggest gift would be somewhere. By the way, we need to have a state trooper pull over KP's grandparents on their route.

Put them in jail for like a day so she can get that house clean.
