mojo in the morning show you know i didn't spend much time on this because i thought that uh it was so wild i wanted to bring it back up but that kp went to new york city for new year's kp is our producer and she went with people that she literally just met like a couple of months before at that under 30 convention thing that was here in town, right? What was that thing called?

alone. I thought that you went to like New York City and you were like with your family or I thought that you were with like some you know, long time friends. How long have you known these people for? So

the girl that I went with, I had only known her for like maybe five months.

And you haven't and this, by the way, so this show is my age because I know that nowadays it's like people are friends with people through social media and stuff and they'll be friends with people and they've never even met them face to face and this is a girl that you spent time with at that 30 under 30 but you haven't seen since that 30 under

30 right? Seriously we only like talk to each other on social media I hadn't seen her since the event and I just had this idea to go visit her because she brought it up

How did you not think? because you stayed at her house?

Yeah, I stayed at her apartment.

How did you not think that she was a serial killer and maybe she was not even under 30?

I don't even know.

Yeah, I did think about that, but I was like YOLO. I died, died. That's the way it goes.

Did your mom have any issues with you doing this or was she a little worried about this?

Actually, I think she was really excited about me going. Really? Yeah, she's like, I can't wait to see the pictures.

If I would have known this, because you told me you were going to go to New York instead of going down to Florida to see Jed. If I would have known this, I would have put an air tag on you. I would have put one in your shoe.

I probably would have lost it somewhere.

So, okay, so when you were there, there was also craziness that happened with you guys, right?

Yeah, so, well, a lot of things happened during that weekend, but.

Um, Lindsay is the girl that I had met at the event and I was staying at her place and she, let me just say, Lindsay is quite the character. She is just like, from the moment I met her, I knew that she was going to be my friend because she's just so bizarre and in the, in the best way possible. Like she's just, she's so funny. She's always got something funny to say. She's got this, she's got this accent that is so funny. Um, and she, what is it? A New York accent? I, it sounds New York, but I think it's just made up by Lindsay. Like she literally just Hold on a second.

Oh, no way. Honestly, like, I feel like I've done crazier, and I've had, like, the best experiences with people I don't really know.

Okay, go ahead, tell the story

We went out for food We went out for food all weekend But the first meal, I sat down with her She told me all these stories And then she starts telling me this story About a time she went to the doctor And she was going for a checkup And The doctors come rushing Into her appointment And they're screaming, no! No. And she tells me that they accidentally gave her a rabies shot.

What? What happened? What?

Lindsay? Okay, okay. This is honestly, like, not that bad. But basically, like, I just kind of got the wrong shot. Wait a second.

Now she's talking like she's British.

How, though, does that happen? A rabies shot? It's a man-made accent, by the way. Like, I kind of change it as I go. Oh, okay. All right. Yeah. Basically, like I'm just, you know, double protected against rabies. How did that, how did they get it confused? I, I don't know. You know me. I just, I kind of have

like these random things happen to me. I don't know you. I've never, as a matter of fact, KP doesn't really know you. Great. So, so you went to the doctor and they wasn't even for rabies and they

gave you a rabies shot yeah it was like a tetanus shot okay and and yeah which is fine did they take

care of the problem that you actually went to the doctor for oh no i just went for like a checkup oh it's just a checkup okay so you were yeah yeah all right can i ask a couple questions about uh you guys staying together in new year's yeah um where where did everybody sleep do you in in what because i know when you live in new york you always live in really small quarters people don't have Where do you live in New York?

Okay, so I live in the Hell's Kitchen Kind of near Midtown

Oh, nice Okay, and how big is your place? How many square feet is your place?

Okay, I'm not a big numbers girl I don't really know, but it's pretty big For New York City, there's like two floors

Oh, yeah, two, wow Rich girl, huh?

No, no, no, I have roommates And we ball on a budget, we just split it

Oh, okay How many people living in that place?

Honestly, every day kind of changes. There's usually a lot of people that stay here.

So when KP was there, did she hit a futon or did you big spoon, little spoon? Like, what'd you do?

You know, she got the prime membership. She got my bed. Wow. Oh, you are a great hostess. Where did you go? Every night was kind of different for me. But let's just say New Year's morning, we woke up to like 12 people sleeping on the floor. The kitchen floor, futons, couches, all over.

I love that. This is amazing.

I love, I've met people and invited people I barely know to stay with me. And I've been invited, like, when I was backpacking in Oregon, someone invited me to stay at their house. They didn't even know my name. But I still would never let a stranger sleep in my bed. Because I don't even know you at this point to know if you're a B.O. or you sweat or pee your bed or whatever. Yeah, bed bugs. Yeah. You're getting to the floor. You're getting a sleeping bag or something.

Lindsay, did I make any weird sounds when I was asleep?

Oh, yeah. I, like, couldn't tell what was happening or if she was awake, but she was definitely up to something. I don't know.

Was I talking?

Yeah. You were, like, growling.

Wow. Growling? Really? Must have been a good dream.

Yeah. And then I made her, we carried this mirror, like, 12 blocks. It was this big, heavy mirror. I found some trash. After a night going out. Yeah, I was like, we're taking that. That's going to be nice for the apartment.

You guys are trash pickers?

Yeah.

In the streets of New York, we're carrying this, like, 50, 60-pound mirror. When you're drunk and you're walking home from the bar at the end of the night.

And she was wearing, like, five-inch heels. That is impressive That's unbelievable

So this is a girl you just met And now here you are finding her furniture For her house And you're making noises while you're sleeping

And she's watching you while you sleep

Wow Wait hold on Was that a cat or was that a motorcycle I think that that's KP making noises

i couldn't do it i i give you credit kp for for doing that i first off if i met somebody like this i'd have to know him for at least a good year before i would go and you know even visit them and i would stay in a hotel probably and then like you know see him you know at a at a

public location we had this conversation about like would you stay with a guy for that you just met on a first date and i said no to that but if it's a girl i don't care but it's funny because

that's a great example i i know so many people that will hook up at a party and go home with a stranger and spend the night but yet we think it's so weird to like actually just visit someone

and stay with them when it's not a date yeah dinner and actually have a nice weekend and then

but hookups are some people more trust uh trusting looking or for sure they have those

Don't you think so?

I don't know.

Like, can't you just look at somebody and you try to not judge a book by its cover, but we're all human beings, and you go, she looks kind of sketchy.

Yeah, you get the icky vibe, and you're like, maybe that's not the person we slumber party with.

Yeah. I'm not going to lie to all of you guys, but if you stayed over at my house, I'm hiding my valuables. And I've known you guys all for a good period of time.

Hey, where'd the remote control go for our TV?

Lindsay, you know what you got to do now? What? You got to come and stay here and stay at KP's grandparents' house. She lives in a senior living area with her grandparents. I want to see Lindsay live in there. It's a little different than New York, hanging out in suburban Detroit in a senior adult, you know, 60-year-old living place.

You can take my grandparents' master bedroom. Aren't they snowbirds?

Didn't they? Yeah. Oh, my gosh. We have to have a big KP sleepover.

Yeah. yeah let's all go could you imagine let's eat all the old people candy and whatever else is in what

we should do is we should freak your because do you know that kp's grandma installed all those cameras and stuff there in the house kp tell the story to everybody about when they got down to

florida what your grandma started freaking out about oh yeah so she saw this kid on our on our front porch and she's like you need to check the cameras or someone i don't know and it was I said, Grandma, that's the Amazon driver.

That's sweet. She's checking on you.

Can you imagine it? What if we did this? What if we threw a party at KP's grandparents' place and then sent them like a TikTok later of the video of all of us partying at the grandparents' place, like, you know, hanging out in their living room and watching TV or something like that? Sign me up. Or if we didn't want to do it that way, we could actually get all of the neighbors, the old neighbors, the old people over and have a little old person party.

They can have their weekend hangout. Megan, you can call Bingo. It's been your dream. Oh, hell yeah.
