Kev, you're going to take over. I don't know what we used to call it, a Megan Minute when she would go off on something for a minute. Kev's got one right now. It's going to be a Kev complaint or something. I don't know. What do we got?

00:01:40 - 00:02:54 | Speaker 5:

I mean, I'm not really complaining because I feel like this is how the world should work. After our darty yesterday, I went home and said, you know what? I don't really just want to go home. I want to go get a beer, and I never drink beer. Beer is disgusting to me. But I was like, you know, I'm going to go get a beer. Went to a brewery, sat at the bar, got a menu, ordered a beer, said, OK, let me see what y'all got to eat. It was Taco Tuesday. That was a special. But I was like, I'm not really feeling the tacos. Then I saw they had wings. I'm like, bam, kind of like a wing connoisseur at this point in my life. I want to see what these wings have to say. Buffalo sauce. I bet. Just wash down some Buffalo Trace. Why not have some Buffalo wings? Ordered the wings. The lady brings them out on, like, this small little tin platter, three carrots to the left, three celeries to the right, ranch and blue cheese, and a total of six wings. I was floored. Six. That's it. Because in my life, when I go to Sweetwater, when I go to this new spot called, new to me, but they say, when I go places, they usually have wings by the tens. So I'm just assuming, and that's on me, you know, I'm assuming that when she bring out the wings, it's going to be a platter of 10.

00:02:54 - 00:02:59 | Speaker 4:

Wait, so, okay, when I order wings, it usually has the amounts.

00:02:59 - 00:03:11 | Speaker 5:

It didn't. Really? It didn't have the amount. And some men use our label where it's like appetizer, da, da, da, da, da. It didn't label it as appetizer. How many did it have? It has six wings. Were they fat? Like, did they have it?

00:03:11 - 00:03:13 | Speaker 1:

Were they meaty, extra meaty? They were normal.

00:03:14 - 00:03:35 | Speaker 5:

They were normal. One of them looked like he got shot at a little steroids, but that wasn't the totality of the wings. Okay. Six. And that was six wings, bro. I was mad because I'm on FaceTime with my best friend at the time, and I'm complaining. She's like, you should have asked how many. And I'm like, that's not my job to ask how many wings.

00:03:35 - 00:03:37 | Speaker 1:

Well, then you can't be disappointed when you get six.

00:03:37 - 00:03:47 | Speaker 5:

Yes, you can be. Because in my mind, the waitress's job is just to clarify, hey, just so you understand, there's six wings here. I feel like that's the due diligence of my waitress.

00:03:47 - 00:03:58 | Speaker 4:

So usually when I order something and I'm hungry, because it sounds like you are hungry, I usually will ask, is this something that, like, is it pretty?

00:03:58 - 00:03:58 | Speaker 1:

Should I order two?

00:03:58 - 00:04:17 | Speaker 4:

Yeah, is it plentiful? You know, I mean, I'll ask that question. I'm like, hey, I'm kind of hungry. You got something that's going to fill me up? And they will tell me. They'll steer me away from this. Maybe you should have done that. Maybe you should have given a little forewarning. By the way, this is not a wing place. This is just a brewery. Right. Which I have a hard time saying that. Me too. A brewery.

00:04:17 - 00:04:42 | Speaker 5:

I don't care what it is, though. In my mind, yes, in a perfect world, it would be this huge conversation where I'm bringing my best questions. They're fulfilling all of my answers. Yeah. But their job is to know the place, know the menu, make me feel like I'm getting the best possible experience by offering more information than the questions that I ask. And it's simple. Hey, just so you know, bro, there's six wings here. All right. Just to clarify.

00:04:42 - 00:04:50 | Speaker 4:

So the question is, should they have told Kevin when he ordered that he's too fat for the ordering?

00:04:51 - 00:04:55 | Speaker 5:

You need a double, bro. And they were $14, by the way.

00:04:55 - 00:05:00 | Speaker 2:

Okay, that is a travesty. That's ridiculous. I'm so glad I just said that.

00:05:00 - 00:05:13 | Speaker 3:

They should be 10 wings. There should be $10. That is ridiculous. However, I do think that you made the assumption that there was going to be 10. Yeah. So that was on you. With the added information that they're $14. That price is ridiculous, as Mojo says.

00:05:13 - 00:05:16 | Speaker 6:

They have $14 for six wings.

00:05:16 - 00:05:21 | Speaker 5:

And it didn't come with fries, by the way. This is just the wings and the three celeries and the three carrots.

00:05:21 - 00:05:22 | Speaker 6:

Are you kidding?

00:05:22 - 00:05:27 | Speaker 5:

By default price, in my mind, I'm like, dang, that's got to be 10 wings. That's $14.

00:05:27 - 00:05:33 | Speaker 6:

That is crazy. They're ripping you off. They know what that's called? That's called shrinkflation.

00:05:33 - 00:05:33 | Speaker 3:

Yeah.

00:05:35 - 00:05:41 | Speaker 5:

They were good, though, but they weren't $14 for six. Where was this place? I don't want to air them out like that. No, no. Why?

00:05:41 - 00:05:46 | Speaker 3:

That's their menu. I don't want to air them out like that, though. They didn't do anything wrong. That's just their menu.

00:05:46 - 00:05:47 | Speaker 5:

Yeah, I don't want to air them out.

00:05:47 - 00:05:49 | Speaker 3:

I just want to make sure when I go there, I get two.

00:05:49 - 00:06:01 | Speaker 5:

Yeah. I tell you, I don't want to air them out like that. I feel bad if I air them out. They sent me free beer once on. Kevin, you sound tired. I thought you were the hype man. This is the Mojo in the morning show.

00:06:02 - 00:06:08 | Speaker 3:

I thought you were going to say it said 10 and they only gave you six. Oh, no, no, no. And then I'd be pissed. We wouldn't have a question. Yeah.

00:06:08 - 00:06:08 | Speaker 5:

No, no, no, no.

00:06:09 - 00:06:26 | Speaker 3:

Because I still go right past that Dunkin' Donuts on Southfield and 11 Mile that ripped me off with my munchkins when I was pregnant. That is now 11 years ago and I still go back past that place and say every swear word. She protested. I will never go back there. I'm not joking. I will never get Dunkin' Donuts from there.

00:06:26 - 00:06:38 | Speaker 6:

844-MOJO-LIVE, 844-665-6548, text 95500. This doesn't happen at J. Alexander's, because guess what? They give you more food than you need. They're all over the place.

00:06:38 - 00:06:41 | Speaker 5:

I saw like a Golden Corral commercial. Hello, Mojo in the morning. Hi.

00:06:43 - 00:06:45 | Speaker 6:

Good morning. Hello.

00:06:45 - 00:06:46 | Speaker 2:

We're all about wasting.

00:06:47 - 00:06:50 | Speaker 6:

Who's this? Hello. What's going on? Is our phone lines okay, Lydia?

00:06:50 - 00:06:55 | Speaker 2:

Yeah, they're fine. That's just a prank caller named Jay. He just likes to sit there and breathe into the phone. Stop being a ho.

00:06:55 - 00:06:58 | Speaker 6:

Wait, hold on a second. The guy just breathed in the phone?

00:06:58 - 00:07:03 | Speaker 2:

Yes, and I'm surprised he didn't do it to you because he's been doing it to me the past 12 minutes, and there he goes calling you.

00:07:03 - 00:07:04 | Speaker 6:

Wait, he just calls up and breathes?

00:07:04 - 00:07:06 | Speaker 2:

Yes, he's on line one right now. It's right here.

00:07:07 - 00:07:10 | Speaker 6:

Here, here, hold on. Hold on a second. Hold on.

00:07:11 - 00:07:20 | Speaker 5:

Nasty. We're not your freak-off, Jay. Zip it up, buddy.

00:07:21 - 00:07:58 | Speaker 6:

Jay, I can out-breathe you. I'm fat. i can out breathe i can out breathe anybody around here jay just get me to walk up one flight of stairs and i can out breathe you um oh gosh a texter here says uh six wings is ridiculous and they actually started to spell it like we just said it ridiculous they get it uh that's from uh That's from 248. Another person here, 313. 313 says, Kev, you should have asked what it comes with or at least read the menu to see if it comes with anything.

00:07:58 - 00:08:00 | Speaker 5:

The menu doesn't say it.

00:08:00 - 00:08:01 | Speaker 6:

Hey, LaBelle, what's up?

00:08:02 - 00:08:03 | Speaker 5:

How are you?

00:08:03 - 00:08:07 | Speaker 6:

We're all good. Kevin's not. He's hungry today. He's angry.

00:08:07 - 00:08:15 | Speaker 4:

I think that they didn't list the amount of wings on the menu because it changes best off the mood of the cook.

00:08:16 - 00:08:21 | Speaker 6:

What do you mean? So they change per the size of them? What are you saying?

00:08:22 - 00:08:28 | Speaker 4:

Yeah, so like say, for instance, if the cook is in a good mood, they might put, like, four wins on there. If they're not, they might put, like, five.

00:08:29 - 00:08:37 | Speaker 6:

Wait, are there places that do that? They don't actually have, like, okay. A set number? Yeah. Jesus, chef's discretion.

00:08:37 - 00:08:50 | Speaker 4:

Yeah, they have places that don't have a set number because, so, like Kev said, one of them looked like it was on steroids, but the rest of them didn't. So like they had like all big wings, I put less on there than they had all small wings.

00:08:50 - 00:08:57 | Speaker 6:

See, that's an interesting thing. I always thought that they did the set amount and you just got lucky if you got a fat wing, you know?

00:08:59 - 00:09:00 | Speaker 4:

Not all places do that.

00:09:00 - 00:09:04 | Speaker 6:

I didn't realize that. That's an interesting concept. I got to ask chefs about that all the time.

00:09:04 - 00:09:05 | Speaker 5:

She's still there?

00:09:05 - 00:09:07 | Speaker 6:

She's gone. No. Okay.

00:09:07 - 00:09:09 | Speaker 5:

I just want to know where did her insight come from?

00:09:09 - 00:09:11 | Speaker 6:

Yes. Maybe she is. Works at a restaurant?

00:09:11 - 00:09:12 | Speaker 5:

Kitchen intelligence or?

00:09:13 - 00:09:28 | Speaker 6:

A lot of restaurants I've seen will weigh things, and I hate when they weigh it. Like, you ever go to the sandwich places that weigh their stuff? Like, I think Subway does that. Really? They'll put it on a scale, and you're like, wait, I don't want that. You know, I want you to grab a handful. Yeah, eyeball it.

00:09:28 - 00:09:29 | Speaker 5:

This ain't Kroger.

00:09:29 - 00:09:36 | Speaker 6:

He's got grapes. Misty, what's going on? Hey, how's it going? We're doing good. What's going on with you?

00:09:37 - 00:09:46 | Speaker 1:

I was calling to say Kev shouldn't be mad at the waitress. waitress he should be mad at the owner who didn't place it on the menu yeah yeah well although i

00:09:46 - 00:09:51 | Speaker 6:

think don't you think the wait staff should at least say something to you i i i can say this

00:09:51 - 00:09:59 | Speaker 1:

the wait staff probably will get in trouble because if he paid that much for six wings that's the owner because i actually like when a

00:10:00 - 00:10:05 | Speaker 3:

server will say to you, eh, I wouldn't order that. I like when they're honest with you. What's up, Sarah? Hi.

00:10:07 - 00:10:24 | Speaker 5:

Hey, good morning. I can just see Kevin sitting down at the table and the waitress will say, so that comes with one hamburger, and then Kevin will say, how many french fries? And we go, well, it's a random amount, but it's a lot. And they'll go, no, no, no. I need to know exactly

00:10:24 - 00:10:38 | Speaker 3:

how many. Oh, he's going to order completely different nowadays after that. You watch. I mean, it's going to change the way that this man orders. He's going to ask that question right off the bat. How many come? Deceived. Justin, what's happening? Hi.

00:10:39 - 00:10:42 | Speaker 2:

Hey, $14. I thought it should have been buy one, get one free.

00:10:43 - 00:10:43 | Speaker 3:

You know what?

00:10:43 - 00:10:44 | Speaker 2:

That is expensive.

00:10:44 - 00:10:48 | Speaker 3:

That's like a kid's meal. Six wings is a kid's meal, don't you think, Justin?

00:10:48 - 00:10:48 | Unknown:

Come on, man.

00:10:48 - 00:10:50 | Speaker 2:

Of course. Yeah.

00:10:50 - 00:10:55 | Speaker 3:

She should have known. That's ridiculous. She had no personality either, though. Mason, what's happening?

00:10:56 - 00:10:58 | Speaker 2:

Good morning. How y'all doing? We're doing good.

00:10:58 - 00:10:58 | Speaker 3:

What's going on?

00:11:00 - 00:11:17 | Speaker 2:

Every time I go to a brewery, they always have small items, especially those little appetizers, and they're always not reasonable, like $14 for six wings and that. Just go to beat-ups or something, but I don't personally go to breweries a whole lot because of that reason.

00:11:18 - 00:11:27 | Speaker 3:

I think that sometimes you've got to be careful of the certain places that you go to. Some of the micro-brewering places, they just want you there drinking beer. They don't want you eating their food.

00:11:27 - 00:11:32 | Speaker 2:

The beer was so watery. Yeah. Was it? Yeah. I don't even prefer their beer sometimes, so.

00:11:33 - 00:11:51 | Speaker 3:

Yeah. You want a good old-fashioned. You know what happens? This is what's going on. You cheated on sweet water. Yeah. Paid the price. You're paying the price. This is what happens. Every time I try something new, I'm going, I got to go back to my normals, you know? Six wings. Kayla, what's up? You have a question for Kevin?

00:11:52 - 00:12:01 | Speaker 4:

Good morning, you guys. First time, long time. Hey, Kayla. Good morning. No, my only thing was, was it bone-in, though?

00:12:01 - 00:12:02 | Speaker 3:

Yes.

00:12:03 - 00:12:26 | Speaker 4:

Yes, that's your thing. So, you were in the city, Kevin. You probably were not in the city. So, you were in a nice Caucasian restaurant. You're pushing about $250 a wing. Caucasian, not Caucasian. White restaurant. I was downtown Detroit. You're pushing about $250 a wing. And where are the white women at? I'm telling you, Dawson. That's insanity. Go to Buffalo Wild Wings on Thursday, baby.

00:12:27 - 00:12:28 | Speaker 2:

I'll never be back, Kayla.

00:12:29 - 00:12:31 | Speaker 3:

Kevin likes his with bones in it, just so you know that.

00:12:31 - 00:12:34 | Speaker 4:

What does that mean? That's what she said, baby. Buffalo.

00:12:35 - 00:12:35 | Speaker 3:

Yeah.

00:12:35 - 00:12:36 | Speaker 4:

Buy them, get one, okay? Exactly.

00:12:37 - 00:12:39 | Speaker 1:

I bet, Kayla. Appreciate you. Bye, Kayla. Take care.

00:12:39 - 00:12:40 | Speaker 4:

Have a good day.

00:12:41 - 00:13:07 | Speaker 1:
