Moto Casino.

00:02:30 - 00:02:39 | Speaker 4:

America's social casino. I got a haircut. And... Just today? Yesterday? No, no, no. I got it on Friday. Oh, I was like... I got it on Friday.

00:02:39 - 00:02:40 | Speaker 3:

Oh, I didn't notice.

00:02:41 - 00:04:25 | Speaker 4:

Well, that's good. Well, you're wearing a hat. You're wearing a hat. But that's not the issue, though. The issue isn't the hair on my head, it's the hair on my face. I don't know if you've ever been in a position where you've been in a hair salon or a nail salon, and then you can tell that something's different while they're in the process of doing it. So this was me on Friday. I'm in the chair, and sometimes I'll tell my barber, I'll sit in the chair, I'll be like, hey, D, this is what I'm looking for. Or I'll come in confused sometimes, and I won't have a clear direction. I'll be like, he can tell I'm confused. He'll just be like, okay, I kind of know what you're looking for. I got this. So Friday, I came in with some direction. I said, I want half off the top. And then I started to get confused. And I'm like, no, no, no, no, a little less than half. I still want to brush it. He's like, okay, I know exactly what you want. He's doing his thing, cutting the hair. He's got his headphones on, so I know he's locked in. When he has his headphones on, it's a great thing. Okay. Because sometimes people can start talking in the barbershops. And you're like, oh, my God, I got 45 minutes. It's about to be an hour and a half. Or you're getting distracted because you're a little too into the conversation. Like, this is where the focus is on my airline. But he's got his headphones in, so he's locked in. I know this is going to be a good session. He cuts the hair, and that's all good. Then he starts to cut my face. And immediately, with the amount of pressure he's putting on my face, I'm like, yeah, I'm not going to have as much hair as I wanted to. But I did a terrible job of telling him what to do. Then he starts to go even harder. Then he brings out this other clipper that's like a closer shave. And I'm like, bro, I have my eyes closed. I can already tell when I open my eyes that I'm not going to like how my face looks. And I just need to trust the process at this point. Because when you're cutting hair or you're doing nails, once they start, they have to finish.

00:04:26 - 00:04:35 | Speaker 3:

For hair, yes. Nails, no. You can change it. But nobody ever does because everybody's scared of their nail tech and I don't know why.

00:04:36 - 00:04:41 | Speaker 4:

Is that a real thing? Like in the middle of it, you just will say, I hate how this looks.

00:04:41 - 00:04:49 | Speaker 3:

Okay, wait. I want to go back to your face first. Did you, when you opened your eyes, did you say, what the heck? That's not what I really wanted or no?

00:04:49 - 00:04:59 | Speaker 4:

My initial reaction inside was, yes, this isn't what I wanted. And I think it was an emotional reaction because there have been a few times where I've gotten a certain kind of haircut where he's.

00:05:00 - 00:05:26 | Speaker 1:

done my beard a certain kind of way where initially i don't like it and then a day or so goes by and i'm like okay maybe it just needed to settle in so when i opened my eyes and looked i was like yeah this is a way closer shave than what i wanted because typically if i have a longer hair or like i get it more more hair on my head i'll go thinner on the face and then vice versa more on the face thinner on the head and i had shorter hair so i was expecting a larger beard but i don't know man

00:05:26 - 00:05:28 | Speaker 3:

Well, it looks great. It looks great.

00:05:28 - 00:05:29 | Speaker 1:

Okay, appreciate you guys.

00:05:29 - 00:05:51 | Speaker 3:

And it's also nice to know that guys go through this because, ladies, we've gone through this time and time again. With nails, like I just mentioned, I don't know why if I get a color that I think is going to look great, and then once they put it on my fingers, it looks absolutely hideous. Why can I not say, I actually don't really like this color.

00:05:51 - 00:06:05 | Speaker 2:

Or can we switch it out before they do all 10 fingers over and over again? I think mine is like with the shape of the nail. Like sometimes I'll like want it like a woman like this, but then they'll do it like too square, like too pointy, but then I won't tell them.

00:06:05 - 00:07:17 | Speaker 3:

Why do we not speak up? And then I walk out to my car and I'm like, dang it. I'm going to be pissed every time I look down at my nails. Now the hair thing is tough because like once, once that first cut happens, you kind of have to go along with it. And that actually happened to me last year, right before Wes and I got married. I, I am, I love my hairstylist. Shout out to Kelly. Um, I've, I've gone to her for 16, 17 years now and she is the best of the best. But I had showed her a photo on like Pinterest or Instagram. I don't even know of a really short, like just past your chin haircut. And I said, after the wedding, I'm going to chop my hair. I really like this. I like this cut. i like this color and we got to talking and i think she forgot the part where i said after the wedding i want to cut my hair and i had my head down bianca you know what i'm talking about i had my head down and she's like cutting cutting and i'm like damn i can like i feel her like really high up on my neck and i looked up i was like kelly i meant after the wedding and it was too late which it ended up looking cute and it was fine but that's one of those things where you're

00:07:17 - 00:07:24 | Speaker 1:

Like, there's nothing you can do. And that's a huge event, too. I wonder how. Nothing you can do. That's a. And you're getting married.

00:07:24 - 00:07:26 | Speaker 3:

Thank God. That's not like a normal Wednesday.

00:07:27 - 00:07:53 | Speaker 1:

844 Mojo Live. 844-665-6548. What is your hair situation? Did you get a bad shot before your big event? Because that's the worst thing right there. Because I've had events where maybe it's like a Pistons game where I'm hosting, you know, some gala or something like that. Those are the important haircuts. If it's just a normal Friday where nothing big is happening in my life. If you mess up a little bit.

00:07:53 - 00:07:54 | Speaker 3:

It's always big.

00:07:54 - 00:07:57 | Speaker 1:

Haircut's always big. Not as big as your wedding.

00:07:57 - 00:08:05 | Speaker 2:

I mean. But I feel like for men it's different. Like for women, I feel like it takes longer for our hair to grow up to the point where we want it to. For sure.

00:08:05 - 00:08:13 | Speaker 3:

By the way, Kev, a couple of months ago you got an exclamation point. It was not an exclamation point. Oh, it was an I. What was it? It was an I.

00:08:14 - 00:08:24 | Speaker 1:

Was that an accident? it or was that you asked for it? No, I want that. And I might get it again. I might get two of them this time. But what is that for? Because my last name is Erwin. So it was like...

00:08:24 - 00:08:32 | Speaker 3:

He came in just so you can understand. He came in and I was like, oh, I think Daryl the razor skipped or something.

00:08:33 - 00:08:46 | Speaker 1:

You know what it looked like? It looked like the Incredibles logo. That little eye with that little switch. Sometimes when you go in you just kind of feel yourself. You're like, you know what, bro? Throw an eye in the head. Why not? I'm an Erwin. Let's just get it like that, bro.

00:08:46 - 00:08:47 | Speaker 2:

A K will look better next time.

00:08:48 - 00:08:48 | Speaker 1:

A K?

00:08:48 - 00:08:48 | Speaker 2:

Yeah.

00:08:48 - 00:08:49 | Speaker 1:

No, we're not getting a K.

00:08:49 - 00:08:50 | Speaker 2:

That's a little too much.

00:08:50 - 00:09:07 | Speaker 1:

The I is like a little subtle, little hint of energy. I mean, it wasn't the top of my head, so I guess it wasn't like that subtle. But I mean, I can't get a K in my head. That's a whole different type of beast. But let's go back. Kosh, you said something about your nails. Did you say almond? Did you say, you were talking about the shape?

00:09:08 - 00:09:09 | Speaker 3:

Oh, there are many different shapes, Kav.

00:09:09 - 00:09:19 | Speaker 2:

Yeah, I always just do this. But sometimes I want them like shorter too. I love short nails. But every time I go get my nails done, they want to make them long. And I'm like, no, do not make them long, but they just, I don't know.

00:09:19 - 00:09:26 | Speaker 1:

When you go get nails done, do you freestyle? Like, do you tell them, like, hey, just do whatever design you want, or do you go in and be like, no, I want it.

00:09:26 - 00:09:34 | Speaker 2:

No, you just get a color or, like, the French tips like this. The designs cost way too much. I'm not paying for that. It's like $10 a nail to do a design. $10 a nail?

00:09:35 - 00:09:42 | Speaker 1:

That's $100. You need to switch your nails. See that? I know, I think I'm getting dipped out. That's quick math right there. That's a lot. I had to carry the two.

00:09:43 - 00:09:45 | Speaker 2:

Have you ever dyed your hair, Kev?

00:09:45 - 00:09:52 | Speaker 1:

No, but I want to dye my hair when the Lions make it to the Super Bowl. I'm going blue. That'll look good.

00:09:52 - 00:09:58 | Speaker 2:

I dyed my hair blonde one time in fifth grade. Only did the top, not the sides.

00:10:00 - 00:10:06 | Speaker 7:

in there like eminem like stan blonde pretty much yeah i need pictures i need pictures i remember

00:10:06 - 00:10:23 | Speaker 4:

one time i got my hair done and it was by like a friend oh okay i got my hair done by a friend's mom and she messed it up so bad like my hair was just blonde in the middle not on the outsides so i had to dye it black literally the day after oh y'all gotta stop letting people practice on y'all

00:10:23 - 00:10:37 | Speaker 7:

Hey, Crystal, good morning. Good morning. So what's going on? Do you have a mishap with the nails? You there?

00:10:37 - 00:10:37 | Speaker 9:

Can you hear me?

00:10:38 - 00:10:38 | Speaker 7:

Yeah, I can hear you.

00:10:39 - 00:11:18 | Speaker 9:

Yeah. Okay. Yeah, it was actually my nail, and it was for my wedding. And I was taking, like, that whole bridal party, but my mother-in-law specifically had dementia at the time. I could not hear her. I was taking her, and so we ended up late for my original male appointment. And we had to go someplace else, and they totally disregarded what I said. And I knew things were going downhill at the toes, but I got them to straighten out. I actually, I was proud of myself. I spoke up for myself.

00:11:18 - 00:11:18 | Speaker 7:

There you go.

00:11:19 - 00:11:31 | Speaker 9:

But the nails, they, yeah, it got worse and worse. I was on social media, like, freaking out at the time. And it was just too far gone to fix.

00:11:31 - 00:11:32 | Speaker 7:

It was over.

00:11:32 - 00:11:38 | Speaker 9:

And when I post, like, everybody was in uproar, like, how did you show them this picture? And they came up with that. Right.

00:11:39 - 00:11:44 | Speaker 10:

But did you say anything in the process when the nail tech was actually doing it?

00:11:45 - 00:12:15 | Speaker 9:

I actually did. I did. Okay. I think there was a language barrier. Oh, okay. Okay. That's fair. Yeah. There was someone who was there that helped out as far as, like, kind of redirecting things. Because I'm saying, no, that's not what I want. Yeah. With my toes. But with my nails. I think this guy's like, oh, yeah, you know, this dip powder is going to be great. And I'm like, dude, no. It's not the time for ink. I don't want hot ink.

00:12:15 - 00:12:34 | Speaker 7:

Yeah, it's almost like that that war shark test that they show sometimes with psychiatrists where they show you one image and then they get a completely other thing. That sounds like what they did with your nails. I think Chris had a similar situation, but not with her nails. Chris, what happened with you? Good morning. Good morning.

00:12:34 - 00:13:18 | Speaker 8:

hi uh my hairdresser was out of town so i went to a new one and she i decided to get my hair about four inches cut off oh that's big about halfway through the appointment i decided to do some bangs no no no no no nope and then i know you can relate and um so we got done and i hated it of course and i went over to my daughter's house she was having a small get together and i walked in and she's like what did you do you look like lord Farquad

00:13:18 - 00:13:18 | Unknown:
