it's mojo in the morning show uh kev had a big weekend he was out and about all weekend long outside friday night out he had a couple of dates uh that we were talking about one i only had one date okay we'll talk about that coming up but then on saturday night you went out after the pistons game yeah and you ran into somebody i did that could be a very awkward time yeah i ran into

00:02:13 - 00:02:47 | Speaker 6:

my ex. And this is the ex that predates Sherelle. So this is before Sherelle ex. Okay. So my girl what'd you say? Where'd you run into her? So my girl Lo. Church? No we definitely won that church. We were singing though but it wasn't gospel songs. My girl Lo she manages L Club and they had like a 2000s party and y'all remember speaking about Diddy earlier making the band Wait that's so funny. Remember day 26 the all male group from making the band? No. I gotta get y'all on day 26. They got several R&B bangers and Who else was there with them? That's just them. That's all you need.

00:02:47 - 00:02:57 | Speaker 7:

If you're a Day 26 fan, we in there. You don't need Day 27. I didn't know if there were other bands or artists from the early 2000s that were there. Can you sing one song?

00:02:58 - 00:03:05 | Speaker 6:

Which one won't I give you. You got CoStar, Are We In This Together, Exclusive. What was the one that we would know? I don't know if y'all would know any of them. Okay.

00:03:05 - 00:03:16 | Speaker 7:

But they are banging on. Let's get to him running into. This right here. He's just wondering. This right here is the blah, blah, blah. I want to get to the girl. All right, man.

00:03:17 - 00:04:59 | Speaker 6:

So, yeah, so my whole heart and soul is like I'm about to come here and I'm about to sing these songs. So in my singing, I look over at the bar. It's not really a line. I'm like, bet, now's the time for me to go grab my Tito's and lemonade. Go grab my Tito's and lemonade. Shout out to True, who was pouring the drinks. Left her the tip. Come back. And then, boom, who do I see but my ex? Haven't seen her since the day that I left her bed. Oh, so it's been years. No, it's been several years. And why'd you break up? This is important to the story. Because I fell in love with Sherelle. Oh, okay. Wow. For real. And here's the thing, because when I first said it, I'm like, da-da-da-da-da. I don't know if she wanted her name, shut it up. So I'm like, da-da-da-da-da. And then she immediately had the, oh my God, it's you face. But it wasn't like she hated me face. It was like a, oh God, here you are. It was like a funny, embarrassed, kind of joking, kind of awkward face. I could tell it was good vibes wrapped underneath this, like, squinched up emoji she had on her face. So I went up to her. I kind of, like, tried. I don't know if we hugged. We probably hugged. But outside of that, we probably talked at the end of the show for at least an hour. Oh, wow. And I had the opportunity. Crazy. Get a smile off your face. I had the opportunity to apologize to her for not being the best person towards the end of our relationship. Oh, wow. Which is something that, well, one, I realized I was blocked in her phone, so I couldn't have called her and apologized. How did you realize that? Because I told her to take my number, and then she was like, you blocked it. And then she showed me her block voice, and it was full of people in there. But yeah, and she told me some of the things that I said to her towards the end of our relationship that really made me feel like I wasn't as good of a person to her as I thought I was.

00:05:00 - 00:05:44 | Speaker 2:

like what um she said I was laying in her bed one day and was like uh how would you feel if I dated somebody that you knew and I had that while you were dating her still yeah I think this had to be like the last time or something like that I think I was so checked out of the relationship before the end of the relationship that I just didn't care and I wasn't a good person at that time and um I had to be talking about Sherelle because that was the next place I went to and but just to have the audacity to have that conversation or to think that that was okay. Like I just wasn't a good person. Even though I thought I was a good person, you know, like hindsight is 2020 or, or they say like, yes, you live life is lived forwards, but understood backwards. Like it's not till you get to the future that you can understand what you really were. I never heard that. And that's really good.

00:05:44 - 00:05:58 | Speaker 1:

So let me rewind a little bit. Cause this caught my ear. The last time that you saw her was when you left her bed, you said, so you you basically walked out and her never called her ever again did a whole you know ghost

00:05:58 - 00:06:27 | Speaker 2:

in that or did you try but she was blocked no it wasn't a ghost situation our relationship like we were we were it was things weren't amazing towards the end of the relationship so there was like you know it was choppy the waves were choppy so to speak and our last time was like i knew in my mind this was about to be our last time type smash that's kind of was was it and after that my mind was i'm always focused on where i'm going you know so to speak so once i realized that that

00:06:27 - 00:06:44 | Speaker 1:

chapter was closed it was no reason to okay so so you say that you guys got an opportunity to talk you you realized that you were not the greatest so you apologized to her she accepted your apology for sure did enough tito and lemonades happen where you guys will talk again oh i hope so

00:06:44 - 00:06:58 | Speaker 2:

really i don't want to have any animosity no negativity i have her number we text a little But yesterday, just kind of like, you know, flirty texting. No, no flirty texting. That's another thing I'm not trying. I'm not trying to open any doors like, you know, I'm not trying to circle a block.

00:06:59 - 00:07:02 | Speaker 1:

Okay. You don't want to go back to it. You don't want to go back. You want to go forward.

00:07:03 - 00:07:07 | Speaker 2:

You said get her number? Then why? Just to be friends. Yeah. Yeah.

00:07:07 - 00:07:14 | Speaker 1:

Not to like have sex or anything like that. Friends or friendly? Whatever. He just said he doesn't want to have sex with you. No, I know.

00:07:14 - 00:07:21 | Speaker 2:

But I just want to be cool with people. You know, I just want to be love. Everything is love. I don't want to text any of my exes.

00:07:23 - 00:07:36 | Speaker 1:

This side of Kevin's coming out, by the way. This is a killer Kevin right now. What side of Kevin? The last week with two girls and the same date. And then here comes the ex. We find out in your past. I didn't know your past. I did not do a good enough background.

00:07:37 - 00:07:39 | Speaker 2:

Whatever you want to know. I'm open book.

00:07:39 - 00:07:44 | Speaker 1:

I did not know your, you know, love him and leave him.

00:07:44 - 00:07:54 | Speaker 2:

It wasn't like that, man. It wasn't like that. Oh, is that Day 26? Which one is this one? This isn't Day 26.

00:07:54 - 00:07:56 | Speaker 1:

No, this is a classic right here.

00:07:58 - 00:08:01 | Speaker 2:

Go, Sammy! Go, Sammy! You hit that note, Sammy.

00:08:02 - 00:08:08 | Speaker 1:

I thought it started sooner. Kevin hanging out at what's the club? Legends? L Club. L Club.

00:08:10 - 00:08:12 | Speaker 2:

Don't you remember the song? I do, I do not.

00:08:13 - 00:08:44 | Speaker 1:

What you gonna do when Kevin calls you? I don't know. You gotta put that Day 26, bro. 844-MOJO-LIVE, 844-665-6548, 844-MOJO-LIVE. I want to ask this question. How many people have ever gotten a chance to run into the ex just to say, hey, you know what? All things are good. Come on. We've grown up. Let's be able to kind of make men's. Have you ever made men's with an ex or had an ex make men's with you? And was it over Tito in Lemonade, huh?

00:08:49 - 00:09:13 | Speaker 2:

into knowing how you gonna act how you gonna handle that what you don't do when she wants you back i will say this you gotta be shout out to her for being open and willing to have that conversation because after somebody does you inappropriately or does you wrong sometimes you can just put that wall up and she could have just said i don't want to talk to you get out my face and i'm glad she didn't do that wait so i missed this if you already said it have you heard from

00:09:13 - 00:09:51 | Speaker 1:

her since saturday night yeah for sure okay 844 mojo live 844-665-6548 or text is 95500 i would love love love love love love to know if you've ever had the x run in like this and where was it and how did you react and was it as boring as kevin's is right now what did you want to have happen i think something uh you know would have been nice to to know that uh you went back to the bed the scene of the crime shay what do you think shay what's up right good morning so i actually

00:09:51 - 00:10:00 | Speaker 2:

i have kids with my ex um but they're adult children but um i do like i had them over for thanksgiving i don't want to have a relationship

00:10:00 - 00:10:01 | Speaker 3:

ship with him, I really

00:10:01 - 00:10:03 | Speaker 2:

still have some animosity toward him

00:10:03 - 00:10:05 | Speaker 1:

because he owes me a lot of effing money.

00:10:05 - 00:10:12 | Speaker 3:

Oh, yeah. Right. But you're making nice enough with him for the kids probably then, right?

00:10:13 - 00:10:20 | Speaker 2:

Well, I mean, I fed him. So, yeah. You fed him. No poison. Right.

00:10:21 - 00:10:25 | Speaker 3:

How much Tito's and lemonade would it take for you to get back in bed with him?

00:10:27 - 00:10:29 | Speaker 1:

Oh, my God. A lot.

00:10:29 - 00:10:34 | Speaker 2:

Like a couple gallons, that leaves it probably have to be intravenously. Gallons of the gallons.

00:10:34 - 00:10:37 | Speaker 3:

Intravenously. What's going on? How you doing, Becky?

00:10:38 - 00:10:40 | Speaker 1:

Hey, good. How are you guys? We're good.

00:10:40 - 00:10:41 | Speaker 3:

What's going on?

00:10:42 - 00:11:34 | Speaker 1:

So, I've got a good ex story. I dated this guy on again, off again, high school, college. We were best friends when we weren't, you know, dating. I ended up setting him up with another good friend, and I was elated that, you know, uh i didn't have to worry about any jealousy because i knew her she knew my background and passed with him um fast forward to the part where they get married and he basically excommunicated me um and i wasn't invited to the wedding uh like three years later i go to another uh but that uh friend uh birthday party for her daughter they're there and i was just being cordial with him and She came out of the bathroom and was like, we're leaving. It's so ridiculous. She still, to this day, will not talk to me. I can't be friends with him.

00:11:35 - 00:11:38 | Speaker 3:

Here's the deal. You set your ex up with him, though. That's interesting.

00:11:39 - 00:11:45 | Speaker 1:

Yes. Yeah, so I just assumed that everything was approved. She didn't like that we were very, very close.

00:11:45 - 00:11:45 | Speaker 3:

Yeah.

00:11:46 - 00:11:53 | Speaker 1:

And there were no feelings from my end. Looking back in hindsight, like Kevin was saying, I think he still had to.

00:11:53 - 00:11:56 | Speaker 3:

Like, I don't know why she would have a problem with that. You're the one that gave him up.

00:11:57 - 00:11:59 | Speaker 1:

But she just said she thinks he still had feelings.

00:12:00 - 00:12:30 | Speaker 3:

Well, still, though. But you obviously wouldn't give it to him if you had feelings. You wouldn't give him up. What's up, Tim? What's going on? Mojo, it sounds like you are pushing way too much. You're trying to live vicariously through Kevin's stories. Come on, man. I live vicariously through everybody's stories. I've got to be quite honest with you, though. No, I really don't want it. Kevin's life is exhausting to me. He works like five different jobs. He's got girls in every single corner. I don't want any of that part, buddy. What's up, Hannah? How you doing?

00:12:31 - 00:12:39 | Speaker 2:

Hi. So I had like a downtown party in my small town, and I was broke for six months.

00:12:39 - 00:12:41 | Speaker 3:

You were saying that again? You're cut out. You were what?

00:12:43 - 00:13:04 | Speaker 2:

I saw my ex at this downtown party we had in my small town. Okay. And we were broken up for like six months. That's still fresh. And we started being friendly. And then my best friend at the time, which she's actually my boyfriend now, my best friend at the time came up and hugged me and picked me up and spun me around, and it made my ex so uncomfortable.

00:13:05 - 00:13:05 | Speaker 3:

Isn't that great?

00:13:05 - 00:13:12 | Speaker 2:

And actually, like, a couple months after that, we got back together, me and my ex, and then broke up, and now me and my best friend are back.

00:13:13 - 00:13:21 | Speaker 3:

Okay, so happy ending. You the problem. Do you remember the song that was playing when he spun you? Was it like something good?

00:13:21 - 00:13:26 | Speaker 2:

No, I don't. It was like a small-town band, so they really weren't playing any break.

00:13:26 - 00:13:37 | Speaker 3:

That's kind of cool, though, that your best friend came to make him jealous, and now you and the best friend are together. No, not anymore because she went and slept with the ex. No, but I thought she got back together with the best friend again. No, no, she got back with the ex.

00:13:38 - 00:13:42 | Speaker 2:

I got back with the ex the first time, and then now I was my best friend.

00:13:42 - 00:13:49 | Speaker 3:

Okay, so when you were in the relationship, did you mess with the best friend at the same time? No, not at all.

00:13:49 - 00:14:06 | Speaker 2:

I didn't actually, I didn't have feelings for him at all. Like, it was just like, he, you know, he's my best friend. I don't ever want to ruin that. And, like, after me and my ex broke up the last time, like, we started becoming friends again. And I was like, okay, actually, I think I like this guy. And now we've been dating for almost a year. I need to know what bar this was at.

00:14:06 - 00:14:08 | Speaker 3:

Yeah. He was blind.

00:14:08 - 00:14:21 | Speaker 2:

It was like, it was a small town called Napoleon. It's like, oh, 40 minutes from Rio. Yeah, it was like an alley party. That's all it was. So the best friend was really your ex's cousin, too, because it's not really anything.

00:14:21 - 00:14:22 | Speaker 3:

Is that how it is?

00:14:22 - 00:14:23 | Speaker 1:

There's like three people out there.

00:14:24 - 00:14:26 | Speaker 2:

How are they related? How are they blood related?

00:14:28 - 00:14:29 | Speaker 3:

What's going on, Jennifer? Hi.

00:14:31 - 00:14:32 | Speaker 2:

Good morning, guys. Happy New Year.

00:14:33 - 00:14:37 | Speaker 3:

Hey, we can't say that anymore. That's over with. It's almost Dr. Mom of the King Day, man. It's over.

00:14:38 - 00:14:41 | Speaker 2:

Yeah, I guess you're right. You could just let her say it. No.

00:14:41 - 00:14:44 | Speaker 3:

We love you, Jen. Thank you. Shut it down. Yeah.

00:14:44 - 00:14:59 | Speaker 2:

So I saw an ex of almost five years ago yesterday, which was really nice. We had lunch, and I needed some work done at my house, so I invited him back. Oh, my God.

00:15:00 - 00:15:15 | Speaker 7:

sneak and then we kind of sort of rekindled things i think what do you mean you think how fast after he walked through that door did you rekindle things made him do the work first well i made him do the work first

00:15:15 - 00:15:21 | Speaker 6:

you know what though that was that was that kind of a payment

00:15:21 - 00:15:29 | Speaker 7:

um maybe a repayment for the way things had ended five years ago yeah yeah well we love

00:15:29 - 00:15:54 | Speaker 6:

you, Jen. Thank you so much. I love this text. 734 says, I absolutely loved Kev with Sherelle, but Kev dating might make this show the best content of 2025. There is some content here. Holy Christ. Shout out to Sherelle. Misfit Nicole. What do you say that? I just want to make sure I'm... I love her, so she's still friends. With Misfit Nicole, are you there?

00:15:55 - 00:15:57 | Speaker 8:

Yeah, I am. Good morning. Hi, Nicole.

00:15:57 - 00:16:03 | Speaker 6:

Nicole, there's no exes out there. There was only one love of your life, and I know him, and he's a good-looking man.

00:16:05 - 00:16:26 | Speaker 8:

No, what happened when I made my Facebook diagnosis that I had breast cancer, my exes came flood. What? Because they felt like I was almost, you know, when you make that announcement, people don't look at you as a survivor. You know, it's kind of weird. People who've gone through breast cancer would know what I mean. So, like, you know how people inbox you, and they're always stressing their conditions.

00:16:27 - 00:16:27 | Speaker 6:

Wait.

00:16:27 - 00:16:30 | Speaker 8:

They was inboxing me, expressing they loved me. Like, I was out of here.

00:16:31 - 00:16:35 | Speaker 6:

How did that handsome man of yours take that? How did the, how did the, how did your.

00:16:35 - 00:16:36 | Speaker 8:

I didn't tell.

00:16:36 - 00:16:45 | Speaker 6:

I didn't tell. You didn't tell. Now he knows. That is wild, by the way. That's nice that they'll come back, though, and say, hey, we're praying for you. We love you. You know, stuff like that.

00:16:46 - 00:16:50 | Speaker 8:

Yeah, but it's like, it's weird because, like, I'm not out of here yet. It's a virus.

00:16:51 - 00:16:52 | Speaker 6:

Any of those guys wanting a hookup?

00:16:53 - 00:16:57 | Speaker 8:

Of course. Yeah, because they thought I was out of here. They thought you were dying.

00:16:57 - 00:16:59 | Speaker 6:

I'll give you one last one.

00:16:59 - 00:17:04 | Speaker 8:

Who's trying to get that one last year? I'm like, no, I'm good. It's stage one.

00:17:04 - 00:17:06 | Speaker 6:

Go out with a bang, Misfit Nicole.

00:17:06 - 00:17:07 | Speaker 8:

I'm so mad.

00:17:07 - 00:17:11 | Speaker 6:

Misfit Nicole's not going anywhere. God kept you here on this earth for us, okay?

00:17:11 - 00:17:16 | Speaker 8:

Absolutely, absolutely. I'm loving this new side of camp, though. It's making the show interesting.

00:17:16 - 00:17:18 | Speaker 6:

It is interesting, isn't it? It is crazy.

00:17:18 - 00:17:21 | Speaker 8:

Yeah, it is. I'm like, okay, camp.

00:17:21 - 00:17:24 | Speaker 6:

Hey, the DM's still open, y'all. Camp knows on Instagram.

00:17:24 - 00:17:52 | Speaker 4:

This is the Bishop Statement at Bishop State Community College. We want you to hear what our students, educators, and business leaders have to say. My name is Metarica Terry LaMille

00:18:51 - 00:19:32 | Speaker 2:

and my major is general education. Some of the obstacles I have overcame at Bishop State is proving that I can show up consistently even when my life was heavy. There are moments where I still feel overwhelmed by balancing work, leadership, parenting, and school, but Bishop reminded me that I'm capable of growth and not perfection, that I'm supported as long as I'm committed to being a better person than I was yesterday. My peers can depend on me. I'm there being poured into, but some of those students don't know that the faculty and staff are really there for them. So when they don't know that, I'm their resource that explain and show them that

00:19:32 - 00:19:41 | Speaker 3:

they're here to help us. Ready to make your own Bishop Statement? Visit bishop.edu today and start building your tomorrow at Bishop State Community College.
