It's Mojo in the Morning Show. Phone number 844-MOJO-LIVE. Text is 95500. Kev. Why'd you unfollow me?

00:01:57 - 00:03:09 | Speaker 1:

Did somebody unfollow you? Probably, but that isn't the situation. I'm contemplating whether or not I should unfollow someone else. Oh. So I get a notification that someone followed me, and I check it. I see the name, and I see it's a young lady, so I click her profile because I want to see her picture. The thumbnail looked nice. I wanted to see the rest of the profile, see if the carpet match the drapes. You know what I'm saying? See how good she looked. When I click her profile, it's private. Oh, I hate that. First off, if you follow me, that should automatically mean that I have access to your profile. You have already decided that this is someone I want to interact with. So I shouldn't have to follow you in order to see your profile. But I was intrigued. I'm already halfway there. Let's hit the follow button. I hit the follow button thinking I'm going to see more pictures of this single beautiful female that is a single female in this picture. But when I click the profile after she accepts my request, it's nothing but, like, baby photos of, like, her kid. And now I'm like, I didn't follow you to look at this baby. I followed you because I wanted to see you. Now I feel like, is it wrong if I unfollow her because of that reason?

00:03:09 - 00:03:17 | Speaker 2:

No. Well, but I feel like that says something to her. I feel like you can't. You know, you can just mute. Just mute her so you don't see it.

00:03:17 - 00:03:20 | Speaker 1:

That's doing too much. I'd rather just unfollow you.

00:03:20 - 00:03:34 | Speaker 2:

But that's like a, that's like a blazing like sign that you're not interested anymore. Do you think she'll even notice? It's also kind of rude. If she likes him, she'll notice it, right? No, if he unfollows her, she still follows him.

00:03:34 - 00:03:58 | Speaker 3:

She won't even notice. Bruh, people need better, nah, people need better social media content. We should have like a voting process, almost like American Idol-esque, where if your profile is not interesting enough, we vote you out, you're eliminated, get off the internet, and everybody should be public. It's her profile. She can post whatever she wants. Yeah, she can post her kid. That's what she uses her social for. Social media is not for you. It's for other people to judge you.

00:03:59 - 00:04:04 | Speaker 6:

Well, Cavs is a dirty bastard that he was thinking dirty things about her. And then when he saw the kid, he felt guilty about it.

00:04:04 - 00:04:30 | Speaker 1:

No, no, that's not at all. And I wasn't thinking dirty things. If you look at somebody's like little thumbnail, that's like an introduction. And I was very intrigued based on her picture. I wanted to see more. Then I hated the fact that I couldn't see more because it was private. So then there's like a little suspense because now I got to wait for her to accept it. So then when I see she accepts it, I'm like, bet. Like, I'm about to see a plethora of photos. And then it's just this bald head ass baby.

00:04:31 - 00:04:37 | Speaker 3:

This is not what I signed up for. There's a guy version of this. And it's when you only have cars on your profile. Yeah, that's true.

00:04:38 - 00:04:49 | Speaker 6:

Or dogs. Can I ask a question? Why does Instagram do that? Where Facebook, at least you can see like a first few photos. Like you can see like a couple of things.

00:04:49 - 00:04:50 | Speaker 2:

Sometimes, depending on the settings.

00:04:50 - 00:04:59 | Speaker 6:

Why is, why does Instagram, first off, I hate the fact that in Instagram, you don't even know the person's name. So you have no clue because they can make up whatever name they want, you know, Zach 244 or something like that.

00:05:00 - 00:05:21 | Speaker 4:

And then I also hate the fact that the thumbnail is so small you can't even see what the person looks like. So you have no idea if it's somebody you recognize. But I want to go back to something with Kevin. I want to go back to the fact that you only accept girls from their thumbnails that you think maybe look good. And just because this woman's a mom, you don't like her?

00:05:21 - 00:05:37 | Speaker 3:

It's not about her being a mom. The reason why I follow you is because I'm interested in your life. I want her kids part of her life. But that's not all your life, and I'm not looking to just look at your child. I want to see you. You want to see her? Yeah, they need, like, baby grandma or something.

00:05:37 - 00:05:51 | Speaker 4:

Beggars can't be choosers, Kev. I ain't begging for the spit. Wait, did you just... I said spit. Oh, I thought I heard it. No, no. I was close, though. I just think that you are a dirty dog. That has nothing to do with dirty dogs.

00:05:51 - 00:05:56 | Speaker 3:

If you... Bruh. I'm unfollowing you now. Okay, so look. Why isn't her baby her profile picture?

00:05:57 - 00:06:00 | Speaker 4:

Because that's part of her life.

00:06:00 - 00:06:04 | Speaker 3:

Exactly. So why is all of the other pictures just her baby? I don't know.

00:06:05 - 00:06:30 | Speaker 4:

Okay, where are your thoughts on this one? 844-MOJO-LIVE. If you're a mom, if you're a mom listening to the show right now, and you can tell that only one person, one guy on the show cares about you, me, I don't care about it. I'll see all your kids' photos. I have no problem with that. Do you date single moms? For sure. You're okay with that? Yeah, I had a drink with one yesterday. What's going on, Sarah? Hi.

00:06:31 - 00:06:31 | Unknown:

What?

00:06:32 - 00:06:43 | Speaker 1:

Hi. I'm a single mom of two kids, and my everything is private. The only things that I post are of my kids. So...

00:06:43 - 00:06:44 | Speaker 3:

You're cooling in the back.

00:06:45 - 00:06:52 | Speaker 1:

It's 2025. I mean, no one's going to have everything open to the public, I guess, unless you're...

00:06:52 - 00:07:19 | Speaker 4:

Yeah. So, okay, so basically you're saying to Kevin, that this person's you're trying to keep your life private right other than your most precious thing your child or you just don't like your photos and that's why you're not posting these pictures right yeah i get it i understand but i think that kev i kev is trying to deep dive and see a little bit more out of this woman that's what i'm saying i don't agree with you but that's

00:07:19 - 00:07:30 | Speaker 1:

what you're saying the deep dive results to her kids she's probably all about her kids and that's cool but are you gonna be mad if i unfollow you no she probably don't care because she's

00:07:30 - 00:07:39 | Speaker 4:

worried about her kids did you check the tab to see other photos that she was tagged in maybe by friends no i didn't do that okay so do that yeah you're right let me chelsea what are your

00:07:39 - 00:07:47 | Speaker 2:

thoughts on this what do you think of kevin oh how do we untag those chelsea chelsea is that

00:07:47 - 00:07:51 | Speaker 4:

what you said i did you say kelsey it's written down here as chelsea go ahead i just heard her

00:07:51 - 00:08:29 | Speaker 2:

say chelsea yeah confused that's okay go ahead sorry first time long time i think that's so cool um no i just like to say that i have you just lost a follower i just recently followed all of you guys because i wanted to put a name with the face i listen to guys all the time and that is such a shallow comment i like my jaw dropped when he said because she posts her child no it's not slow down slow down because you are a part of the community

00:08:29 - 00:08:51 | Speaker 3:

i'm assuming of mothers and when you hear something sometimes you don't hear what people say you hear how it made you feel and i want to clarify it's not the fact that she's a mom it's the fact that the only thing that she posts it she's not even in these pictures with their child is literally just baby pictures it's like i'm following a girl maybe that's that's what

00:08:51 - 00:09:02 | Speaker 2:

her life is that's her that's her pride and joy that's what maybe she's a brand new mom and that's all she does and it's everything that she loves and that is beautiful i just don't want to see

00:09:02 - 00:09:18 | Speaker 3:

a baby profile right that's all i'm saying like if only if i only post post so for example you wanted to put a face with the name which is why you followed everybody if you follow me and all i show were pictures of my jeep grand cherokee would that be disappointing to you i mean i get

00:09:18 - 00:09:30 | Speaker 2:

it i just wouldn't care i would feel like okay he likes jeep that that's who you are but you would unfollow you wouldn't continuously follow i would i would unfollow absolutely not that is

00:09:30 - 00:09:54 | Speaker 4:

wild i think there are some people that use their social media differently than you do kevin and Megan I think that people some people like to they're not into seeing themselves they want to see uh others on there maybe they maybe they use it to watch others what if this woman just likes to see you Kevin and all your countless basketball pictures that's cool with everybody at Pistons

00:09:54 - 00:10:00 | Speaker 1:

games that's fine I don't know and maybe this is a mean problem I don't understand why sometimes

00:10:00 - 00:10:22 | Speaker 4:

sometimes Instagram specifically is used as like a public photo album of children. And that to me just like kind of gives me the heebie-jeebies a little bit. Like it's one thing if it's your family and there's pictures of you and you and maybe your significant other and then you and your kids. But when it's like just a baby, an online baby book is weird to me. I feel like

00:10:22 - 00:10:34 | Speaker 3:

some people do that though. Like one, because they're proud, but also because like, I know It's more specifically Facebook than Instagram, but that's their method of sharing with their family. I get that. So they do it.

00:10:34 - 00:10:36 | Speaker 4:

But aren't you worried to have that on the Internet?

00:10:37 - 00:10:49 | Speaker 3:

Well, and also I would hope that every parent is careful about what they post. Yeah. I mean, even myself, I've had I've looked back at my Instagram and deleted some things that I thought in the moment were like cool to post.

00:10:49 - 00:11:00 | Speaker 1:

But I also think that some people, I think people when they're on social media, they don't, maybe they don't feel as comfortable just showing them where this is their pride and joy that they're showing is their children.

00:11:00 - 00:11:11 | Speaker 3:

Well, and in Kev's girl's case, it is a private profile. So she's probably, she's hopefully, again, very careful about who she's accepting to share those photos with of her kid.

00:11:11 - 00:11:39 | Speaker 4:

Which I think is very fair. But I think a lot of times when we're talking about how we grew up and a lot of people say, I'm so glad that I didn't grow up on the Internet or social media wasn't really a thing when I was a teenager or whatever. Then I'm of the generation of like, I was the first teen to be on it. Right. I was the first teens on Facebook and MySpace and all that. And we were kind of experimental. And now but we like chose to be on it. And now I feel like we're forcing kids to be on it before they're choosing to be online. And I don't think this is like a great cycle to be on.

00:11:39 - 00:11:53 | Speaker 1:

Yeah, but nobody knows the kid's name. They know the mom's name. It's not like she's giving out so much personal stuff. I think people don't use social media like we use social media, showing off our stuff. People use it to show off what makes them happy.

00:11:53 - 00:11:54 | Speaker 4:

That's super fair.

00:11:54 - 00:11:55 | Speaker 1:

What's up, Ashton? What are your thoughts?

00:11:58 - 00:12:00 | Speaker 2:

Hey, what's up? First time, long time.

00:12:02 - 00:12:03 | Speaker 1:

Ashton on the phone.

00:12:04 - 00:12:57 | Speaker 2:

And I agree with Kevin, man. But I also agree with Megan on quite a few things as well. You know, from Kevin's point of view, you know, when he follows somebody, he wants to, you know, see what's going on with them and how they look and, you know, what possibly they're into, you know, and where kind of their interests align and things like that. And then, you know, on Megan's perspective, because I'm a new dad, you know, the soon-to-be dad, and thank you, thank you, and I just, I don't know how I really feel about, like, posting my daughter, like, constantly, all, all the time, because, like, there's, there's just so many weird things that could, that could just happen by somebody just

00:12:57 - 00:13:13 | Speaker 4:

seeing their face. Yeah, and I'll fully say that I'm giving this from the perspective of the only person here who doesn't have kids, so, like, I don't have to make those choices, I don't know what that decision process is like it the internet just stresses me out yeah no and I I totally

00:13:13 - 00:13:50 | Speaker 2:

understand you on that I'm I'm kind of from the same point that that you're coming from is I grew up whenever like everything was kind of coming into fruition and and the internet was was really coming into being what it is now and not that like we were forced on it or anything but it it's more of a decision to kind of like stay away from those things because it's not that it's a it's always a dangerous place there's really good things out of it like in kevin's point of view you know he's meeting new people and he's finding you know a possible relationship and but there's that

00:13:50 - 00:13:57 | Speaker 1:

other side that's that's just crazy and oh my god yeah thank you for the call ashton uh valerie

00:13:57 - 00:14:54 | Speaker 5:

what's up it's mojo in the morning hi this is valerie i agree with kevin kevin is but you got to remember you got all these women around in your studio you got to think like a man a man don't want to see all your baby pictures he's not there to see your family he's there to see what you look like dropper you know wow And also another thing is Tammy Flynn is being truthful rude. That drives me crazy. I better have a rude friend who tells me that I look like crap in that outfit than to say, oh, you look good. What are you talking about? I want a truthful friend. Wait, what was that last comment? She's mad at you about a comment I've said. What if she says that she's rude if you canceled her because of a kid? No, he's being truthful. He don't want to feed a kid. what is it wrong to be truthful when did truthful become being rude oh a long time ago yeah okay

00:14:54 - 00:14:59 | Speaker 3:

um i don't know that i used the word rude if i did that was probably

00:15:00 - 00:15:13 | Speaker 2:

the wrong word i just said it would be it would be it would send a certain message to her about kev's interest if he followed her and then 24 hours later unfollowed her and i also think then

00:15:13 - 00:15:28 | Speaker 6:

talked about it on the radio and did it for a 10 minute topic uh that might be a little bit rude too but that's okay she's is she listening right now what's her what's her name what's her I'm going to follow her on this. I want to see what her... Brie, what's going on, Brie?

00:15:29 - 00:15:30 | Speaker 3:

Hi, good morning.

00:15:31 - 00:15:31 | Speaker 6:

What's happening?

00:15:32 - 00:15:32 | Speaker 3:

00:15:33 - 00:15:34 | Speaker 6:

We're doing good.

00:15:34 - 00:15:47 | Speaker 3:

I was just saying everybody was misunderstanding Kev. It wasn't that she was posting her child. It was that that was the only thing that she was posting. We wanted to see some pictures of her.

00:15:47 - 00:15:51 | Speaker 6:

There we go. Where are her near topless photos?

00:15:51 - 00:15:59 | Speaker 3:

Exactly. Maybe a breastfeeding photo of her with a child. There we go.

00:16:00 - 00:16:28 | Speaker 5:

Then we're all good. The first season of the X Games League is ending in New Orleans, and only one team walks away champion.
