Alan Lee, my major is drafting and design. In high school, I did it since my sophomore year, and I kind of wanted to continue it. It was the only thing I was good at. I didn't want to move to a four-year yet. I don't think I was mentally prepared. I found Bishop State. They had the program. I met a few people there. I ended up enrolling. The instructor, first time I met him, I told him about my background. He said, okay, great, you know about this. He built me straight to work. He didn't let me have any leeway. He pushed me to my limits. So I think that made me choose drafting design at Bishop State and stuck with it. The sport's amazing. All my instructors just want to see me succeed. They want to push me to my limit. They want to see me be the best I can be, get a job, just be as successful as I can be. And I really appreciate all of them. With my degree, as of right now, my plan is to work for the city of Mobile with their urban planning department. It's Mojo in the Morning Show. So yesterday I ended up going and I got a, I've never done a barber beard shave. I've never done that ever in my life. I actually tried it one time and I got scared when the guy pulled out the straight, you know, razor thing. Oh, it's the best. And I thought to myself, I'm like, you know what? I don't know if I necessarily know if that guy likes our show. You know? Did I say anything about him? Was he one of the cheaters we busted in the War of the Roses? You know what I mean? Like, we don't have a Rolodex of all that stuff. So, yesterday, I ended up going to this guy, Rafa, Barbara Rafa, who J Towers turned me on to George over at Sixth Salon to do. And it was the most amazing thing ever. I loved it. But I told him, I said, like, make it look good. But, honestly, you should have seen the bottom of my beard, like, underneath my chin, which nobody gets to see because the fat is so much. I thought it was just based on the way that my chin looked. It was like I was a drunk guy trying to walk a line. It was so bad. So is this how you will, moving forward, get a straight razor shave? I'm contemplating. You know I go to Katrina for my hair, and I'll never leave Katrina because I love her so much. And I get so much good gossip, and we give so much good gossip when we're together. But I think that I should think about the beard because that beard is kind of like a part of... It's part of the package, right? Yeah, it's her face. And Katrina does trim. Like, she'll trim, like, my nose hairs, and she'll trim my, you know, eyebrows and stuff like that. But she doesn't really mess with the beard at all. So I might have to, yeah, I might do it. I don't know, how do you feel, but it's funny. I went yesterday, so I go, and I was gone for a while, because it was Royal Oak A, and it was, like, 5 o'clock in the evening or 4 o'clock in the evening, so it was traffic. So it took a while to get there. And I think Chelsea was kind of like, that's a long time, but you know what? I'll plan it accordingly, I guess, a little bit different because that's the only time I could get in. Do you do your beard at all? All the time.

Every time I go to the barbershop, I get a straight razor. He'll do the line, too, just to make sure it's super crispy. Really?

Do you run... I thought about this for a second, and then he talked me out of it. I thought about going goatee back again. And then Rafa's like, no, you're not goateeing at all.

No, I remember your goatee days. I think it looks better. You look better with a full beard.

I looked like a pedophile when I had the goatee, but I will tell you this.

And then it wears off, and now Sherelle just does whatever she wants. And I'm at a point right now where I've gone through different hair phase. Sometimes I'll grow my hair out. Sometimes I'll get it cut. And Misfit Victor, I don't know what we were talking about on the show, but he just started sending me all these Photoshop hair ideas where he, like, dyed my hair red. And then one in particular, he had me growing locks. Some people say dreadlocks. I say locks. He had me growing locks. And I saw that and was like, damn, you look good. This should be how you look. And at that moment, I said, you know what? I'm not cutting my hair. I'm growing locks. And it took me a couple days. And I went and told Sherelle. And I was like, babe, I don't think I'm about to grow locks. She was like, no, you're not. I'm like, you don't get to decide how I wear my hair. And now I'm trying to, like, have this thought, like, should your spouse have an influence on the way that you look? or have you ever changed something and didn't tell your spouse and it went wrong?

No, that all, oh, it drives me crazy when guys do it, so it would be hypocritical if I said it was okay if girls do it. No, that makes me so angry.

See, I think it's okay.

I think for guys to tell a girl what to do, it's wrong because it's just wrong. I think it's... Well, we're also, you can tell us

My name is Natarika Terry LaMille, and my major is general education. Some of the obstacles I have overcame at Bishop State is proving that I can show up consistently, even when my life was heavy. There are moments where I still feel overwhelmed by balancing work, leadership, parenting, and school, but Bishop reminded me that I'm capable of growth and not perfection, that I'm supported as long as I'm committed to being a better person than I was yesterday.
