00:01:39 - 00:02:24 | Speaker 2:

Bishop State's like a home for people. It may not be like a four-year where you have a dorm, you have a roommate, you have a rec center, but it's still a place you can go meet new people, classmates, put in the hallway, make friends with advisors on all these teachers and everything like that. It's just a place you can feel like yourself and not try to be that you don't want to be with this program i learned networking a lot we've had two dinners with heads of different companies dealing with shipping or even game design builds dealing with autocad or need 3d modeling so really being able to meet new people or meet heads of new people have been really helpful i don't come from a wealthy family so four years we're kind of not out the picture but less probable for me to go to bishop state with my scholarship it cut my price in half and made it way easier for me to go to school for the same 12 credits i would go for a four year ready to

make your own Bishop statement, visit bishop.edu today and start building your tomorrow at Bishop State Community College. A friendly note to the competition. You all can kiss our asses.

00:02:36 - 00:02:43 | Speaker 6:

I feel better. This is Mojo in the Morning. It's Mojo in the Morning show. Kev, why'd you unfollow

00:02:43 - 00:03:52 | Speaker 3:

me? Did somebody unfollow you? Probably, but that isn't the situation. I'm contemplating whether or I should unfollow someone else oh so I get a notification that someone followed me and I check it I see the name and I see it's a young lady so I click her profile because I want to see her picture the thumbnail look nice I want to see the rest of the profile see if the carpet master drapes you know I'm saying see how good she look when I click her profile it's private I hate that first off if you follow me that should automatically mean that I have access to your profile you have already decided that this is someone I want to interact with. So I shouldn't have to follow you in order to see your profile. But I was intrigued. I'm already halfway there. Let's hit the follow button. I hit the follow button thinking I'm going to see more pictures of this single beautiful female that is a single female in this picture. But when I click the profile after she accepts my request, it's nothing but like baby photos of like her kid. And now I'm like, I didn't follow you to look at this baby i followed you because i wanted to see you now i feel like is it wrong

00:03:52 - 00:04:20 | Speaker 9:

if i unfollow her because of that reason no well but i feel like that says something to her i feel like you can't you know you can just mute just mute her so you don't see it that's doing too much i know because i follow you but that's like a that's like a a blazing like sign that you're not interested anymore do you think rude if she likes him she'll notice it right no if he unfollows

00:04:20 - 00:04:44 | Speaker 10:

her she still follows him she won't even notice bro people need better no people need better social media content we should have like a voting process almost like american idol-esque where if your profile is not interesting enough we vote you out you're eliminated get off the internet and everybody should be public it's her profile she can post whatever she wants yeah she posts her kid that's what she uses her social for social media is not for you it's for other

00:04:44 - 00:04:54 | Speaker 6:

people to judge you well cab is just a dirty bastard that he was thinking dirty things about her and then he saw the kid he felt guilty no no that's that's not at all and i wasn't thinking

00:04:54 - 00:04:59 | Speaker 3:

dirty things if you look at somebody's like little thumbnail that's like an introduction and

00:05:00 - 00:05:17 | Speaker 1:

I was very intrigued based on her picture. I wanted to see more. Then I hated the fact that I couldn't see more because it was private. So then there's like a little suspense because now I got to wait for her to accept it. So then when I see she accepts it, I'm like, bet. Like I'm about to see a plethora of photos. And then it's just this bald head ass baby.

00:05:18 - 00:05:24 | Speaker 4:

This is not what I signed up for. There's a guy version of this. And it's when you only have cars on your profile. Yeah, that's true.

00:05:25 - 00:06:07 | Speaker 2:

Or dogs. Can I ask a question? why does instagram do that uh where facebook at least you can see like a first few photos like you can see like a couple of things sometimes depending on the settings why is why does instagram first off i hate the fact that in instagram you don't even know the person's name so you have no clue because they can make up whatever name they want you know zach 244 or something like that and then and then i uh i also hate the fact that the thumbnail is so small you can't even see what the person looks like yeah like so you have no idea if it's somebody you recognize but i want to go back to something with kevin i want to go back to the fact that you only accept girls from their thumbnails that you think maybe look good and just because this woman's a mom you don't

00:06:07 - 00:06:26 | Speaker 1:

like her it's not it's not about her being a mom the reason why i follow you is because i'm interested in your life but that's not all your life and i'm not i'm not looking to just look at your child i want to see you you want to see her yeah they need like baby gram or something You can't be choosers, Kev. I ain't begging for the schpick.

00:06:27 - 00:06:38 | Speaker 2:

Wait, did you just, why didn't you say the schpick? Oh, I thought I heard it. No, no. I was close, though. I just think that you are a dirty dog. That has nothing to do with dirty dogs.

00:06:38 - 00:06:43 | Speaker 1:

If you, bruh. I'm unfollowing you now. Okay, so look, why isn't her baby her profile picture?

00:06:44 - 00:06:47 | Speaker 2:

Because that's not her, you know, that's part of her life.

00:06:47 - 00:06:50 | Speaker 1:

Exactly. So why is all of the other pictures just her baby?

00:06:51 - 00:07:17 | Speaker 2:

I don't, okay, where are your thoughts on this one? 844 Mojo Live. If you're a mom, if you're a mom, if you are a mom listening to the show right now and you can tell that only one person, one guy on the show cares about you, me, I don't care about, I'll see all your kids' photos. I have no problem with that. Do you date single moms? For sure. You're okay with that? Yeah, I had a drink of one yesterday. What's going on, Sarah? Hi.

00:07:18 - 00:07:18 | Unknown:

What?

00:07:19 - 00:07:28 | Speaker 3:

Hi. Um, I'm a single mom of two kids and my everything is private. The only things that I post are of my kids.

00:07:29 - 00:07:31 | Speaker 1:

So you're cooling in the back.

00:07:32 - 00:07:39 | Speaker 3:

It's 2025. I mean, no one's gonna have everything open to the public, I guess, unless you're.

00:07:39 - 00:07:53 | Speaker 2:

Yeah. So, okay. So what do you, so basically you're saying to Kevin that this person's, you're trying to keep your life private, right? other than your most precious thing, your child. Or you just don't like your photos. That's why you're not posting these pictures.

00:07:53 - 00:07:53 | Speaker 3:

Right.

00:07:54 - 00:08:06 | Speaker 2:

Yeah. I get it. I understand. But I think that Kev is trying to deep dive and see a little bit more out of this woman. That's what I'm saying. I don't agree with you, but that's what you're saying.

00:08:06 - 00:08:10 | Speaker 3:

Well, the deep dive results to her kids. She's probably all about her kids.

00:08:10 - 00:08:14 | Speaker 1:

And that's cool. But are you going to be mad if I unfollow you?

00:08:15 - 00:08:18 | Speaker 3:

No, she probably don't care because she's worried about her kids.

00:08:18 - 00:08:25 | Speaker 1:

Did you check the tab to see other photos that she was tagged in, maybe by friends? No, I didn't do that. Okay, so do that. Yeah, you're right.

00:08:25 - 00:08:27 | Speaker 2:

Chelsea, what are your thoughts on this? What do you think of Kevin?

00:08:27 - 00:08:29 | Speaker 4:

Oh, how do we untag those?

00:08:31 - 00:08:31 | Speaker 2:

Chelsea?

00:08:33 - 00:08:34 | Speaker 4:

Chelsea, is that what you said?

00:08:35 - 00:08:38 | Speaker 2:

Did you say Kelsey? It's written down here as Chelsea. Go ahead.

00:08:38 - 00:08:40 | Speaker 4:

I just heard her say Chelsea. I'm a little confused.

00:08:40 - 00:08:41 | Speaker 2:

That's okay. Go ahead.

00:08:42 - 00:09:11 | Speaker 4:

Sorry. First time, long time, Chelsea. I think that's so cool. No, I just like to say that I have you just lost a follower. I just recently followed all of you guys because I wanted to put a name with the face. I listen to you guys all the time. And that is such a shallow comment. Why? My jaw dropped when he said because she posts her child. No, it's not.

00:09:12 - 00:09:35 | Speaker 1:

Slow down. slow down because you are a part of the community i'm assuming of mothers and when you hear something sometimes you don't hear what people say you hear how it made you feel and i want to clarify it's not the fact that she's a mom it's the fact that the only thing that she posts it she's not even in these pictures with her child it's literally just baby pictures it's like i'm following a

00:09:35 - 00:09:41 | Speaker 2:

life maybe that's that's what her life is that's her that's her pride and joy that's what maybe

00:09:41 - 00:09:47 | Speaker 4:

she's a brand new mom and that's all she does and it's everything that she loves and that is

00:09:47 - 00:09:59 | Speaker 1:

beautiful i just don't want to see a baby profile right that's all i'm saying like if only if i only post so for example you wanted to put a face with the name which is why you followed everybody if you follow me and all i show

00:10:00 - 00:10:06 | Speaker 2:

pictures of my jeep grand cherokee would that be disappointing to you i mean i get it i just

00:10:06 - 00:10:19 | Speaker 1:

wouldn't care i would feel like okay he likes jeep that that's who you are but you would unfollow you wouldn't continuously follow i would i would unfollow absolutely not that is wild i think there

00:10:19 - 00:10:42 | Speaker 2:

are some people that use their social media differently than you do kevin and megan i think that people some people like to they're not into seeing themselves they want to see uh others on there maybe they maybe they use it to watch others what if this woman just likes to see you kevin and all your countless basketball pictures that's cool with everybody at pistons games that's fine

00:10:42 - 00:11:04 | Speaker 5:

i don't know and maybe this is a mean problem i don't understand why sometimes instagram specifically is used as like a public photo album of children and that to me just like kind of gives me the heebie-jeebies a little bit like it's one thing if it's your family and there's pictures of you and you and maybe your significant other and then you and your kids but when it's like just a

00:11:04 - 00:11:39 | Speaker 4:

baby an online baby book is weird to me I feel like some people do that though like one because they're proud but also because like I know it's more specifically Facebook than Instagram but that's their method of sharing with their family i get so they do it but aren't you worried to have that on the internet well and also i i would hope that every parent is careful about what they post yeah i mean even myself i've had to i've looked back at my instagram and deleted some things that i thought in the moment were like cool to post but but i also think that some people i think

00:11:39 - 00:11:48 | Speaker 2:

people when they're on social media they don't they maybe they don't feel as comfortable just showing them where this is their pride and joy that they're showing is their children girls case

00:11:48 - 00:11:56 | Speaker 4:

it is a private profile so she's probably she's hopefully again very careful about who she's

00:11:56 - 00:12:26 | Speaker 5:

accepting to share those photos with of her kid which i think is very fair but i think a lot of times when we're talking about how we grew up and a lot of people say i'm so glad that i didn't grow up on the internet or social media wasn't really a thing when i was a teenager or whatever um then And I'm of the generation of, like, I was the first teen to be on it, right? I was the first teens on Facebook and MySpace and all that. And we were kind of experimental. And now, but we, like, chose to be on it. And now I feel like we're forcing kids to be on it before they're choosing to be online. And I don't think this is, like, a great cycle to be on.

00:12:26 - 00:12:40 | Speaker 2:

Yeah, but nobody knows the kid's name. They know the mom's name. It's not like she's giving out so much personal stuff. I think people don't use social media like we use social media, showing off our stuff. People use it to show off what makes them happy.

00:12:40 - 00:12:41 | Speaker 5:

That's super fair.

00:12:41 - 00:12:42 | Speaker 2:

What's up, Ashton? What are your thoughts?

00:12:44 - 00:12:47 | Speaker 3:

Hey, what's up? First time, long time.

00:12:49 - 00:12:50 | Speaker 2:

Ashton on the phone.

00:12:51 - 00:13:44 | Speaker 3:

And I agree with Kevin, man. But I also agree with Megan on quite a few things as well, you know. From Kevin's point of view, you know, when he follows somebody, he wants to, you know, see what's going on with them and how they look and, you know, what possibly they're into, you know, and where kind of their interests align and things like that. And then, you know, on Megan's perspective, because I'm a new dad, you know, soon-to-be dad. Congrats. And thank you, thank you. And I just, I don't know how I really feel about, like, posting my daughter, like, constantly all the time because, like, there's just so many weird things that could just happen by somebody just seeing their face.

00:13:45 - 00:13:57 | Speaker 5:

Yeah, and I'll fully say that I'm giving this from the perspective of the only person here who doesn't have kids. So, like, I don't have to make those choices. I don't know what that decision process is like. The Internet just stresses me out.

00:13:58 - 00:14:40 | Speaker 3:

No, and I totally understand you on that. I'm kind of from the same point that you're coming from. I grew up whenever, like, everything was kind of coming into fruition and the Internet was really coming into being what it is now. And not that, like, we were forced on it or anything, but it's more of a decision to kind of, like, stay away from those things because not that it's always a dangerous place. There's really good things out of it. Like in Kevin's point of view, you know, he's meeting new people and he's finding, you know, a possible relationship. But there's that other side that's just crazy, and oh, my God.

00:14:41 - 00:14:45 | Speaker 2:

Thank you for the call, Ashton. Valerie, what's up? It's Mojo in the morning.

00:14:47 - 00:15:00 | Speaker 1:

Hi, this is Valerie. I agree with Kevin. Kevin, but you've got to remember, you've got all these women around in your studio. You've got to think like a man. A man don't want to see all your baby pictures. He's not there to see your family. He's there to see what you're doing.

00:15:00 - 00:15:39 | Speaker 10:

you look like dropper you know wow is being truthful rude that drives me crazy i better have a rude friend who tells me that i look like crap in that outfit than to say oh you look good what are you talking about i want to what are you talking about wait what was that last comment she's mad at you about a comment I've said rude. If you canceled her because of a kid, no, he's being truthful. He don't want to, you don't want to see the kid. Oh, be truthful. When did truthful become being rude? Oh,

00:15:39 - 00:15:57 | Speaker 1:

yeah. Okay. Um, I don't know that I used the word rude. If I did, that was probably the wrong word. I just said it would be, it would be, it would send a certain message to her about Kev's interest. if he followed her and then 24 hours later unfollowed her.

00:15:58 - 00:16:11 | Speaker 11:

And I also think then talked about it on the radio and did it for a 10-minute topic. That might be a little bit unrued, too, but that's okay. Is she listening right now? I don't know. What's her name? I'm going to follow her.

00:16:12 - 00:16:12 | Speaker 4:

Baby.

00:16:12 - 00:16:15 | Speaker 11:

I want to see what her. Bree, what's going on, Bree?

00:16:16 - 00:16:17 | Speaker 9:

Hi, good morning.

00:16:18 - 00:16:18 | Speaker 11:

What's happening?

00:16:19 - 00:16:19 | Speaker 9:

How are you?

00:16:20 - 00:16:21 | Speaker 11:

We're doing good. What's going on?

00:16:21 - 00:16:33 | Speaker 9:

I was just saying, everybody was misunderstanding Kev. It wasn't that she was posting her child. It was that that was the only thing that she was posting. He wanted to see some pictures of her.

00:16:34 - 00:16:38 | Speaker 11:

There we go. Where are her near topless photos?

00:16:38 - 00:16:38 | Speaker 9:

Exactly.

00:16:39 - 00:16:41 | Speaker 10:

She goes exactly.

00:16:42 - 00:16:45 | Speaker 11:

Maybe a breastfeeding photo of her with the child.

00:16:45 - 00:16:46 | Speaker 10:

There we go. No.

00:16:47 - 00:16:51 | Speaker 11:

Then we're all good. WKQI Detroit.

00:16:51 - 00:17:27 | Speaker 8:

This is the Bishop Statement at Bishop State Community College. We want you to hear what our students, educators, and business leaders have to say.

00:18:39 - 00:19:24 | Speaker 2:

I would say Bishop State is like a home for people. It may not be like a four-year where you have a dorm, you have a roommate, you have a rec center, but it's still a place you can go meet new people, classmates, put in the hallway, make friends with advisors on all these teachers and everything like that. It's just a place you can feel like yourself and not try to be that you don't want to be. With this program, I learned networking a lot. We've had two dinners with heads of different companies dealing with shipping or even game design builds, dealing with AutoCAD or 3D modeling. So really being able to meet new people or meet heads of new people has been really helpful. I don't come from a wealthy family, so four years were kind of not out the picture, but less probable for me to go to. Bishop State, with my scholarship, it cut my price in half and made it way easier for me to go to school for the same 12 credits I would go for a four-year.
