All right, it's Mojo in the Morning Show. You know, we like to get silly on this show, and I always think it's fun, but I also think that every now and again, you got to get real. And Kev's got something that he wants to get off his chest this morning, and I'm hoping that you guys will all take a heart, you know, and then maybe help him out a little bit with it. What's going on, buddy?

00:02:25 - 00:03:33 | Speaker 3:

i just feel lost and i feel off and today honestly on this show this has probably been the best that i felt on the show i would say in like two or three weeks and i think there's one thing when you know why you feel off and then there's another thing when you don't know why you feel off and i think like as i don't want to get too crazy but i think as humans like we have this, this ego or this, this need to know. And like one plus one equals two, like being able to attach one thing to another kind of gives us confidence. And when you know what a thing is, then you know how to attack it. And I don't know why I fell off. And I don't want to do the thing that I do oftentimes where I try to attach it to something just so I can feel comfortable and have something to solve. But I don't know why I feel the way that I do. And I feel uneasy. It's nothing that's going on crazy in my life or going on crazy in my career like i feel confident in like my relationships with my family and everybody's you know for the most part healthy but it's just like this cloud that's kind of over me where i don't feel sure and you've felt this way longer

00:03:33 - 00:03:37 | Speaker 4:

than just the last few days because i know you've been under the weather too yeah i mean maybe that

00:03:37 - 00:03:43 | Speaker 3:

has me feeling it a bit more heavy well but it's been something that's been there i often think

00:03:43 - 00:03:59 | Speaker 4:

that when you are feeling off because you said it's been a couple of weeks yeah it lowers your immune system down too and sometimes it makes you sick yep what do you can can i just like figure out like what off means for you because you're an energetic guy 99 percent of the time

00:03:59 - 00:04:38 | Speaker 3:

i feel like i am i'm not gonna say i don't think a lot but like i'm a person that like i feel like i'm in the flow so to speak where i don't necessarily have to plan my steps i'm pretty sure-footed in whatever direction that I go like I'm not really thinking before I make a move like I'm kind of just making my moves and there's like a rhythm to the way that I'm living and I feel like my rhythm is off in a certain in a way if that makes sense like when you see somebody dancing and they look like they on beat that's how I feel like I live my life and then when you see somebody that's not on beat it kind of looks like it's off so you're dancing like a white person that's how My spirit is white right now.

00:04:39 - 00:04:40 | Speaker 8:

I'm so sorry to hear that.

00:04:41 - 00:04:42 | Speaker 3:

I'm so sorry.

00:04:42 - 00:05:00 | Speaker 4:

And I know you say you don't want to put something on it because you don't want to. Sometimes you do that, and we all do that. We all go, well, I had a bad day like a week ago, or, well, I got into a fight with somebody or whatever the deal is. And then we say that's what it is. And then sometimes when we do that, we push down the feelings of what it is, what it truly is.

00:05:00 - 00:05:05 | Speaker 1:

Or you solve that specific thing that you quote-unquote named, and that's not it.

00:05:06 - 00:05:37 | Speaker 2:

Right. And I thought, to be honest with you, I thought maybe it had something to do with Journey and Sherelle. And having this thought of what my life would look like. And then now being settled into my new space and all of that type of stuff. Explain what you can of that. Well, I mean, you know, going to get married with Sherelle and live this life where we would be together. And Journey and Josiah and have this whole family thing. And that's no longer my reality. And coming up on a year and, you know, in a few months of that separation, I kind of thought that maybe that has something to do with it.

00:05:37 - 00:05:38 | Speaker 3:

But you don't think it does?

00:05:38 - 00:05:46 | Speaker 2:

I don't. Because that would be the obvious. Exactly. And that's what I don't want to do. I don't want to just attach it to something that's obvious and call that the solution and it's not really it.

00:05:46 - 00:05:48 | Speaker 1:

Isn't that Occam's razor, though?

00:05:48 - 00:05:49 | Speaker 2:

Say it one more time?

00:05:49 - 00:05:59 | Speaker 1:

Isn't that Occam's razor? The most obvious thing is probably the thing. I've never heard that saying, but maybe, I mean, do you feel like you've grieved that picture of your life?

00:06:00 - 00:06:22 | Speaker 2:

fully yeah i i think that there are cycles so to speak i think i don't know if i have forever healing at this point but i think i've i have a lot of healing in that situation like i know that situation is is dead you know so to speak so like from that point yeah but do you think um

00:06:22 - 00:06:39 | Speaker 3:

you've had a lot of change aside from that you moved you got a new place that you're going to we've moved work um like do you think that there's everything combined like i feel like sometimes all happens do you think the weather i mean what i'm trying to to to wonder i'm not

00:06:39 - 00:06:54 | Speaker 2:

really a big seasonal depression type of person like i'm blessed to not really be affected by that but i mean you bring up a good point and but that's why i feel like i'm in a space where i'm trying to solve it i'm trying to figure out the why so that i can get over it and i don't

00:06:54 - 00:07:57 | Speaker 3:

even know if that's the best thing to do right now so i don't know kevin um pia um bs before sherelle i don't know kevin before sherelle yeah um so i knew you i've always known you in a relationship and in a pretty you know i always felt like you guys weren't married but you were like married you were like a married couple and then i've noticed a change in you on the air where, you know, now we're seeing Kevin, the dating and they are not so much dating, but like talking to girls and, you know, flirting and all the rest of that stuff. And it's been a total difference in what I've seen of Kevin from when he first started with us on the show to what it is now. And I love both sides of you, Kevin, but I also wonder how much of you now is an act and how much of it is authentic. and I mean this in the regards to like when you'll you know come in and go yeah man this girl's a baddie and all the rest of that stuff how much of that do you like and how much of it do you miss

00:07:57 - 00:08:34 | Speaker 2:

being the relationship guy I mean I do miss the relationship person I think I was growing to become the person that was going to be a husband so I think that was the pathway that I'm on I think this other pathway is new footing so it's a figuring out this newness of my life and i think maybe that's where it's not it's not that i'm not being authentic i think that when i'm trying to learn this new version of myself i think i'm also trying to get comfortable with this new version of myself and i think it's hard for people to see you beyond what they know you as so they have to relearn who you are as you're relearning who you are you know yourself

00:08:34 - 00:09:22 | Speaker 1:

one of the best things my therapist ever said to me because i feel like i i have gone through this a lot over the past I would say seven or eight years of being a wife and a mom and then going through divorce and being single and now being a wife and a mom to even to an even bigger family again and my therapist said especially being a believer which I know you are she said this is when you go vertical and you ask God what is true of me like who am I and what is not true of me as you like move forward and try to figure out like okay this is a new version of Kev but there are still a lot of things that are true of me and not true of me and i always think about that and i i go as far as writing them on post-it notes like getting them out of my brain and getting them out so i can see and it's it sounds so simple but it really does help me yeah no that's real i was in

00:09:22 - 00:09:59 | Speaker 2:

the bed last night it's interesting that you talk about the baddies and all that i had a because i've been smashing somebody and i felt like god told me not to smash and then i was like no i'm kind of over and i feel like i have your permission now but i think that was more so my flesh talking and wanting to operate in that way and i had a like a come to jesus moment yesterday i was texting this other girl who i wanted to smash but i think our relationship is more tied into the lord because that's where our conversation is led to and sometimes you think the person is in your life for one thing and then you really see why they are in your life when you do go vertical and you find that truth and i think that not saying like you got it the best way to get over somebody to get under somebody because I

00:10:00 - 00:10:13 | Speaker 7:

I done passed on more Pete than I done got because I like to have a real connection with people. I'm kind of rambling now. But I do think that I've allowed my flesh to kind of be the leader in my life. And I need to submit to God more.

00:10:15 - 00:10:20 | Speaker 6:

Wow, that's actually interesting that you say that because, Victoria, what did you want to say to Kevin?

00:10:21 - 00:10:42 | Speaker 2:

Hi, I just wanted to tell him, you know, like Shannon hit the nail on the head. Like, you got to lean into your faith right now. Like, when you're walking, when it's uncomfortable, that's when you're growing. And that's when God wants you to lean on him and find yourself, like, all of that stuff.

00:10:43 - 00:10:47 | Speaker 6:

Thank you for the call. Rosalyn, what's up? It's Mojo in the morning. What did you want to say to Kev?

00:10:47 - 00:11:01 | Speaker 3:

Hi. Hi. I just wanted to say that Kevin still needs to heal through his heart for Sherelle, Journey, and Josiah. Otherwise, it's like a lost soul part, and it'll stay that way forever.

00:11:01 - 00:11:02 | Speaker 6:

Do you feel like you've healed?

00:11:02 - 00:11:07 | Speaker 3:

And most men try to heal through SEX. They try to heal quickly through SEX, and it doesn't work.

00:11:08 - 00:11:09 | Speaker 6:

What does SEX spell?

00:11:11 - 00:11:18 | Speaker 1:

That's the question I ask, though, is have you fully grieved that relationship? Because I thought, like, you always say, you're like, yeah, I'm good.

00:11:18 - 00:11:18 | Speaker 7:

Yeah.

00:11:19 - 00:11:20 | Speaker 1:

But then, like, are you?

00:11:20 - 00:11:28 | Speaker 7:

I mean, I guess I don't, I don't, is it one of those things where you know? like how do you how do you know if you fully grieved i think i think a lot of times you the

00:11:28 - 00:11:48 | Speaker 6:

way that you know if you're fully grieved and you may never fully grieve that because that was such a big part of your life is how you are with those people that you know like how you yeah and i think that if you are at a point where you feel like okay we're good you know what i mean just like

00:11:48 - 00:12:12 | Speaker 7:

move on that's so that's so interesting though i was literally watching a sermon yesterday and The guy said, the pastor, his name is Darius Daniels. He has a church called Change in New Jersey. But he said that some people think that they have to, in order for them to heal, they have to forgive the person. But you don't, the only way to heal is to forgive. I actually disagree with that. Maybe I'm saying it wrong.

00:12:13 - 00:12:35 | Speaker 4:

And the thing, it's funny that you bring up like therapists and what they talk about with you, because my therapist has always done the whole, just like move on. Like, what are what are you accomplishing by sitting in your grief and sitting in your hurt other than being in grief and being hurt? Like, if it's not going to change and that is what it is, move on and focus on the other aspects of your life that are going well.

00:12:35 - 00:12:41 | Speaker 7:

I like that. But then I feel like also what if somebody comes along and they scratch that part that isn't healed?

00:12:42 - 00:13:09 | Speaker 4:

And then that's going to happen even if you do think you healed and moved on and forgave and whatever. You could still get hurt by the reminder of what happens. It's never going to go away. So don't focus on it. Mine has been like my journey through therapy has been a big focus on just focus on the the positives, focus on the what we want to work towards, like stop going to the past, stop looking at the hurt and just move on because the hurt's not going to change. You're still going to be hurt by that situation.

00:13:09 - 00:13:45 | Speaker 1:

I also think of that this like you do have to acknowledge and Mojo kind of said it at the beginning. You can handle a lot. you are such a positive guy but there's been a lot of change in your life like you're spinning a lot of plates and there's been a lot of change in your life and what even if you think that you are handling that well that's still a lot for one person and aesthetically you may be handling yeah and i think a lot of people listening relate to that where they're like they're not giving themselves enough grace you're going you have so much on your dang plate like it's okay what i'm saying is it's okay to feel a little off for a while as long as you know that you're off like

00:13:45 - 00:13:51 | Speaker 6:

you you're gonna come out of it kyle uh you wanted to say something to kevin go ahead

00:13:51 - 00:14:19 | Speaker 5:

i did kevin i just want to say how proud of you i am man this is um a lot to come on to the radio and tell everybody how you're feeling i mean it's one thing to tell like a therapist or a group of close friends or even tell these guys off the air but to come on and bear yourself in front of all of us is amazing especially with the stigma that you know men are not supposed to be able to have feelings or be able to talk about these kind of things like super proud of you dude i don't i don't really have any way to really help you but uh you know i just wanted to say that that's awesome

00:14:19 - 00:15:15 | Speaker 6:

that's awesome that's a great call kyle i i and i am i'm proud of you too kevin and i also think sometimes it's okay he's the energy guy kyle of the show and sometimes it's it's we all need to bring the energy and you need to get relax a little bit so so sometimes you just need to take time for yourself too i think that you're the guy that has so much on your so much going on i i don't necessarily ever do i don't want to judge the person and how they're trying to to work out the stuff that's going on in their life but sometimes you don't give it any time at all and it's only been a short period of time that you've gone through a new job uh almost Just. marriage then a breakup and you know all the changes of moving and i mean geez i gotta tell you something it takes people decades to get through what you've gone through in the last year and a half or two years uh jessica last call you want to say something

00:15:15 - 00:15:58 | Speaker 2:

hi guys good morning good morning um i wanted to thank kevin for being so vulnerable and talking about this. Mental health is something that we kind of veer off. So I think it's really good that you're talking about this. I personally, I've gone through something similar, and I would highly recommend being by yourself, taking that time to heal, spending time with God, and seeing what God wants from you. When you're entertaining other women, when you're creating those soul ties, that is going to like disconnect to the wires with God well and I and I think that that's good and

00:15:58 - 00:17:35 | Speaker 6:

you brought up something interesting you need to be there by yourself and that also includes without Josiah like I think there are some times where you're by yourself you think is you and Josiah together and I think sometimes you need to just have moments I know you were sick over the weekend and you were completely by yourself right no I had Joe oh you did have Joe during that whole thing when's the last time that you have just been you and without friends co-workers family i don't think ever for real to be honest with you and maybe it's one of those moments where you just kind of need to have some moments like that and jessica you're right some it will feel uncomfortable i can't be by myself and i remember when chelsea and i were going through the hardest part ever in our years of marriage where we were basically you know done We were going to, uh, uh, divorce and I went away by myself and I'm not kidding you. I started hearing voices and those voices. I felt like were the Holy Spirit speaking to me. Like I felt like it was for me that that's what my belief was. And it was the most uncomfortable time I've ever had just being there completely by myself because you feel so much more vulnerable and you're like, I got to be around people because I need people sometimes to bring me life and instead I need to have my own life. But I think that you are an amazing guy. I think that you sharing this is awesome. And I think that you've helped, I'm sure, a bunch of people. I don't know if you've been helped by this, but I think it may be just getting it off your chest. Yeah, it's a step closer. Yeah. Can I still hit one of these buttons here and make fun of you or no? Hit that one.

00:17:36 - 00:17:42 | Speaker 3:

Kev's comments are now classified as illegal imports in Windsor. Thanks a lot, government officials. This is Mojo in the Morning.

Did Tony write that one? Is that right? Or no? I have to like Tony writes them all. Do you think Tony does something like this? Or I don't know. All right. That Tony Travato guy. Doesn't he have anything nice to say about anybody? Jordan. Yes, he likes Michael Jordan. He likes Jordan. Check out, after the show's over with, I think sometimes we don't do this, go check out the comments that people leave in our DMs during this break and then also on text message. because all these comments are from people who have been in your shoes or are currently right now dealing with it in the same vein. And I think we go by just the three or four calls that I'm able to grab in the time that we have or the comments that we all make. But sometimes reading some of these comments, I'm reading some of these ones right now. Man, people are really excited that you brought that up on the radio. DM me personally, too. All right, it's Mojo in the morning show.
