Man, after the show today, I'm going to go get my little money order, cashier's check, and I'm picking up the keys to my new place. I want to be moved out. My targeted day is before Christmas.

And you're moving like five minutes away from this studio.

Which is a blessing. I'm excited for that.

So you're moving to Detroit? Back to Detroit. So getting back to Detroit, where you were born and raised from living out in the suburbs. And I asked you a couple of questions. Number one, can we crash at your pad sometimes? Is it weird for me to say pad?

Depends on the circumstance, but for sure. The door is always open.

And second question, is it tough for you to do this move? I know this is a move that comes with a breakup, too.

Yeah. No, I'm excited, to be honest with you, to move. But I am aware that that excitement will come and go at some points. I'm sure maybe those first couple of nights when the home is a bit quieter, quieter than what it once was, and those same voices that I've come accustomed to listening to and loving won't be there anymore, reverberating off the walls. It'll just be myself. But I'm aware that that's going to take place. So when those emotions hit, hopefully it'll be a softer landing. Has Sherelle moved out yet? No, I think she's picking up the keys. I think she'd get her keys today or something.

Oh, so she's not staying in the same place where you guys were. Yeah, no. Okay.

I mean, that was always our intention was to live in this place until our lease is up, which is next month. Okay. And then originally, you know, the idea was to, you know, move out together, get a house, but, you know, circumstances in life, you know. It's true.

Do you guys talk, like, have you told her about the place or shown her the place or anything?

Yeah, for sure. She knows. She knows a little bit about it.

Oh, yeah, for sure. He went with me to see another place, and he fell in love with that place and was like, if you don't move here, then I hate you, basically. No, he did not. He was like, I promise. He was like, we got to come here. Because that one had like a pool, didn't it? It was the Millender Center that's attached to the Courtyard Marriott. So you have access to their pool and to their workout facilities. And he was so, he was like, look at this pool. I hate you. Why did you not rent it? He was going crazy.

I hate you for not renting that place.

I like this place better. Yeah. I mean, I wanted personalized entry. And basically, I don't want to have to get on the elevator and go up. I don't want to do it. I just want to go in.

Elevators scare me, especially if fire alarms go off and stuff like that. I don't know.

You get on a lower floor.

I get it, yeah.

And they say there's something to the stairwell, because that was my question, like, working that quick, and, like, if a fire breaks out, like, what's going to happen? And something in the stairwell, based on the concrete or whatever, keeps you going.

yeah like is that what you how you guys did it i walked in this is like two days ago actually i walked in the bedroom she was laying on the bed she being sure i was like all right so look this this all i want and then i rattled everything off and she was like okay yeah so it wasn't any contention did she ask for anything that you wanted um when we first started talking about it last year my cousin christina um you know why i pause christina my cousin christina who's become very close with sherelle that's why i pause and you know i mean yeah but um wait what does that We'll get into it. They bought, they being Gerard and Christina bought this cold-ass air fryer that we never used. So I'm like, I'm taking the air fryer. Sure, like, no, you're not. I'm like, they're my cousins. Like, I'm buying, you know what I'm saying? But I don't care. Give her the air fryer. I want a different one anyway.

I tried. Can I ask you with this new place, are you going to, because I know you're a dad, right? Okay. Are you going to decorate it like a dad or are you going to decorate it like a dude? Are you going to decorate it like a single guy because you are going to be single? And I know you say that you're going to take your time. You're not going to go out there and stuff. But are you going to have the beaded doorway?

I've never been on that, bro. The thing that I'm most excited about is when you first walk in, there's like this little area before the kitchen. And that is going to be like my meditation space. So I'm excited to have this peaceful environment that will have virtually no technology unless I put like an old record player in there. Or when I need to go and I need to think and I need to get in my prayer bag, like that will be my spot. I'm very excited about that.

Dude, I just want a bathroom that kids don't come in. You're getting a meditation space.

That's the thing I'm most excited about. And we've mentioned on the show, like as a as a guy, you when you live with your spouse, your significant other, if you live with a woman, nine times out of 10, you have no visual representation of your personality in that place. Yeah, everything is hurt. So I'm very excited to have the opportunity to fill this home up with things that represent and make me feel like me.

Yeah, but that's interesting. I always thought that if I was ever, you know, because I really never had a, I had my apartment before I met Chelsea. And then once I met Chelsea, we got married and whatever. It was like my first big apartment. And I had no decorations because I had no money. And I often thought like if I had money and could decorate, what would I do? Bro, I got boxes in the garage. Do you? That stuff. How many LeBron pictures are going to be on the wall? And how many?

I do have, I think I got like three or four LeBron jerseys. I might do something with those.

I was just kidding.

That is the biggest turn on, though, when a guy has a nicely decorated apartment. I'm like, oh, I'm married now.
