And shout out to Nathan, who is our game presentation director, reached out to Nathan and said, you know, while we're thinking of how we're going to incorporate children in our game, what about my son introducing the players? Oh, my God. And he was like, yeah, for sure. I sent him some footage because Joe's done it for the Motor City Cruise, which is our G League affiliate. And he said, let's do it. And Joe had the opportunity to, along with Mason, who was so gracious, Mason allowed Joe to use his microphone, to use his chair. So Mason stood up and, like, used a wire microphone and started introducing the players. And then Josiah took over. And it was a really magical moment. And to see Josiah get done, first off, to see the process of Josiah almost kind of not believing that he was capable to do it. Was he nervous? He was nervous. But when he got done, he was like, I believed in myself and I just didn't think about being stressful. I didn't think about what if I mess up or what if I don't. I would have had tears. It was a great moment, man.

hey so i wanted to tell kev about my proud dad moment let's hear it man uh decided this hey uh so my son decided uh during this one winter that he wanted to go snowboarding me and him never got snowboarding so but i bought him a beginner snowboard and i was like let's go and uh these instructors are showing us how to snowboard i get on it to show him like hey we can do this fall down on my butt a couple times but i show him i'm gonna try to do this he gets on the snowboard and kev just gave the kid for the first time ever on the snowboard was all the way down this wow he did better than kp my mind is blown but my my that's my dad you know my like proud dad moment i was like wow isn't that incredible yeah there is something to it man

although i will tell you this when your kid beats you at basketball for the very first time it pisses you off after a while like i'm like going i've let him beat me a couple of times when i was younger and stuff like that. That's cool. By the way, seeing the humility, though, that this is listening back to it, watching you when it was going on, like Kev is hype and all this stuff, and you can see you kind of pull back a little bit as you're listening to it because it was like you can tell your heart is taking over.

I was like, people were around me like, I'm recording off my Meta glasses and then I'm also recording off my phone. I don't know why I needed the two angles, but that's what I did. And people are like shaking me like, oh my God, Kev. And I'm just like a stone figure. Like just, it was only he and I in the room. And I was only listening to him and focusing on him. And just knowing like his thoughts leading up to it, how nervous he was. He was kind of like questioning himself in some capacity. Well, what if I mess up? and to know that it seemed as though he ignored all of that and fully immersed himself in that moment and then walked away from it believing in himself was really dope what did you say to him

because i know that we've all had to do this or we've all had a parent that had to do this for us what did you say to him to pull back some of that anxiety but also not to dispel you know or to make him not feel like he should be nervous because honestly i think nervous energy sometimes brings out the best in you yeah somebody said one time like if you're

nervous it means you're connected to the moment there's a reason why you're experiencing that i think we i'm a firm believer in projecting positivity and i think that the brain you know when you think of moving your arm that thought takes place before the action takes place so your brain connects to your cells connects to your movement and when you have a negative thought that can transfer and if you lead with the negativity then the outcome will probably be negative so i tried to get someone to understand like when you're thinking about this experience think about what would happen if it goes great not what happens if it doesn't don't think about messing up think about doing your best yes and it's already in you you just have to do the action

so just go be great be yourself no that was cool i needed that pep talk for today
