It's Mojo in the morning show. Kev back from Chaperoni. Yes, I had my Chaperoni yesterday. Kev, by the way, is never allowed to chaperone ever again. And I want everybody to listen up to this. Kevin fell asleep while chaperoning for Josiah's field trip.

00:01:35 - 00:01:52 | Speaker 6:

Nice. I don't think that was a bad thing, though. It's not like we were doing anything physically demanding. Like, if we were walking around a museum or I had to, like, literally follow kids or watch kids and I fell asleep, then I think we could have a conversation. We went to the movies yesterday. What better place to fall asleep than in a theater?

00:01:52 - 00:01:54 | Speaker 4:

That's when the kids are bad.

00:01:54 - 00:01:55 | Speaker 6:

Oh, they were bad as hell. See?

00:01:56 - 00:01:57 | Speaker 4:

Because you were sleeping.

00:01:57 - 00:02:26 | Speaker 6:

Middle school is not how it used to be. Now, I'm one of those parents where I want to give the children free license to act up a little bit. Because that's what you do when you're on field trips. You let your hair down. You get a little wild. You get a little crazy. When you're in class and you're locked up, so to speak, that's when you have to be quiet. When you're on a field trip, it's your chance to break free. It's your chance to break loose. And I don't want to be the parent. Everybody's like, damn, who daddy is that? Then they're like, that's Josiah, daddy. You know, Josiah get picked on. So I'm letting the kids act up a little bit.

00:02:27 - 00:02:32 | Speaker 7:

How are you letting the kids act up a little bit when you don't even know if they're acting up? You're sleeping the entire time.

00:02:32 - 00:03:01 | Speaker 6:

My role wasn't at a level 10. First off, I thought I was just chaperoning or chaperoning Josiah's class. Now, here's two things that came to my mind. One thing, I thought I was just chaperoning Josiah's class. I thought it was only going to be maybe max 30 kids. Okay. It wasn't. It was like 70 kids. It was sixth grade, seventh grade, eighth grade, and then it was some 10th graders throwing in there too. So when I pull up to the school and I'm thinking we're getting on one bus and I see three buses there, I'm like, oh, damn, this is more than what I signed up for. That's first off.

00:03:02 - 00:03:04 | Speaker 2:

So there's a limit to your chaperoning?

00:03:04 - 00:03:11 | Speaker 6:

Yes. In my mind, you think you're going to just handle one class and you show up and it's like five classes? My mind is completely gone.

00:03:11 - 00:03:14 | Speaker 4:

But don't you have a group? I thought I had a group. You're not chaperoning at all 70.

00:03:14 - 00:03:19 | Speaker 6:

Listen, it wasn't that organized. It wasn't like, hey, Kev, these are your 30 kids. It wasn't like that.

00:03:19 - 00:03:24 | Speaker 4:

like these are your six kids no it wasn't like that it was just you weren't responsible for

00:03:24 - 00:03:30 | Speaker 6:

anybody exactly I wasn't pointed out exactly it was kind of like all the parents are here for

00:03:30 - 00:03:56 | Speaker 7:

all the kids yeah I I'd love to know it first off I'd love to know as a kid do you ever remember a chaperone getting themselves into trouble or like losing a kid or have you ever been that chaperone I've chaperoned all kinds of different things I know Shannon just recently chaperoned an event for lucy the worst chaperoning of any of them are the ones that shannon just did which is i've done too the overnight stuff you did that i did it i did overnight new york and overnight mackinac and

00:03:56 - 00:04:02 | Speaker 4:

it was right it's horrible yeah but and she's already tapped me for washington dc oh that's

00:04:02 - 00:04:07 | Speaker 7:

great overnight could you imagine if you fell asleep while you're chaperoning i just feel like

00:04:07 - 00:04:14 | Speaker 4:

the movie like they probably weren't even at red they were at gladiator I saw a different movie than the one you were sleeping at.

00:04:14 - 00:04:19 | Speaker 7:

Jennifer's a teacher. What would you do if one of your chaperones fell asleep while chaperoning?

00:04:20 - 00:04:32 | Speaker 3:

Kevin, you are why we can't have nice things. What did I do? Slept. And I say that, I totally say, you cannot fall asleep. They are middle school children. What did you think they were going to do in the dark?

00:04:33 - 00:04:34 | Unknown:

Oh, that's nice.

00:04:34 - 00:04:45 | Speaker 3:

No, they do not let their hair down and, oh, you act up. No, you represent the whole school. You represent me. I did not raise a bunch of fools to act like that.

00:04:45 - 00:04:45 | Speaker 7:

Yes.

00:04:46 - 00:04:51 | Speaker 3:

You're blacklist. You are on the blacklist. I'm going to find out where Josiah came from school. Let them know.

00:04:52 - 00:04:56 | Speaker 7:

Did they notice at all that you were sleeping? I don't think so. Were you snore sleeping? I wasn't.

00:04:56 - 00:04:59 | Speaker 6:

Oh, they knew. Josiah said I was breathing heavily.

00:05:00 - 00:05:00 | Speaker 5:

That's what he said.

00:05:01 - 00:05:09 | Speaker 6:

Miss Jen, Miss Teacher here right now, have you ever had a chaperone screw up and lose a kid when you were going on any kind of field trips?

00:05:10 - 00:05:12 | Speaker 8:

I did, but we're not going to talk about that.

00:05:14 - 00:05:33 | Speaker 6:

I remember one of the field trips that Chelsea went on, one of the dads, and it's always a dad that screws this whole thing up. The dad ended up getting in trouble because the dad was paying more attention to the other moms than paying attention to the kids. So finally had to get reprimanded by the principal.

00:05:33 - 00:05:37 | Speaker 5:

One of the moms on this trip were paying attention to.

00:05:37 - 00:05:37 | Speaker 6:

Really?

00:05:37 - 00:05:41 | Speaker 5:

Kev, not only were your kids getting frisky,

00:05:41 - 00:05:49 | Speaker 3:

you were trying to get frisky too. The kids were not getting frisky. I promise you, as a junior high kid who went on a field trip, yes, they were.

00:05:49 - 00:05:56 | Speaker 5:

I wasn't manning the back row, so I don't know what was going on over there. But the middle section, we was good. For the 10 minutes I was like,

00:05:56 - 00:06:10 | Speaker 6:

You are a bad influence. Hold on. Actually, Misfit Victor, you just recently, we got him on the phone with us. He recently was on a field trip where he was chaperoning. You're probably never getting invited back because you were a pain in the butt, weren't you?

00:06:11 - 00:06:49 | Speaker 9:

Probably the biggest waste of time ever in the history of the world. I mean, we took these kids to Washington, D.C., and had eight kids, and I think five of them will be in prison by the time they're 22. Oh, Lord. easily like we get to gettysburg and i'm like you kids study about gettysburg at all no we go to all these war memorials you guys ever study about this war no so i told the organizer i said why are we here these kids know nothing about this next year just go to cedar point this is just a waste of time and money oh they're too happy with me oh you can't drink beer You can't drink beer while you're a chaperone.

00:06:49 - 00:06:51 | Unknown:

What am I supposed to do?

00:06:51 - 00:07:02 | Speaker 6:

Yeah, Kev, did you have any alcohol from the Imagine Bar at all? They closed in, unfortunately. Victor, I got a surprise for you when you come in studio for our turkey shoot.

00:07:03 - 00:07:05 | Speaker 9:

Oh, I can't wait. I'm so excited right now.

00:07:05 - 00:07:09 | Speaker 6:

Your first crush is in studio with us.

00:07:10 - 00:07:11 | Speaker 9:

Brad Galley's there?

00:07:15 - 00:07:17 | Speaker 6:

Matty, what's going on? It's Mojo in the Morning. Hi.

00:07:18 - 00:07:19 | Speaker 8:

Hi, how are you?

00:07:19 - 00:07:20 | Speaker 6:

Good. What's happening?

00:07:21 - 00:07:33 | Speaker 8:

When I went to fifth grade camp, my grandpa chaperoned, and he taught his cabin how to play poker. Oh, no. Oh, no. That is so good. Life skills. Oh, that is so good.

00:07:33 - 00:07:36 | Speaker 6:

Did he get in trouble for that? Like, did somebody say anything?

00:07:36 - 00:07:45 | Speaker 8:

I don't know, but also two years later when he took my sister, there was like a kissing scandal that he had to deal with with the kids.

00:07:45 - 00:07:53 | Speaker 6:

Oh, no. That's crazy. Yeah, that's the thing you've got to worry about, especially with those middle schoolers. What's up, George? Hi.

00:07:54 - 00:08:01 | Speaker 7:

Hey, Mojo. I just wanted to say hi. Back to Kevin with Mr. Meaday. He already got to me all hyped up this morning. What's up, man? Isn't he the best?

00:08:01 - 00:08:10 | Speaker 6:

Isn't he crazy? Yeah, he was actually allegedly chaperoning Josiah's field trip. He was taking a nice nap.

00:08:10 - 00:08:11 | Speaker 7:

Yeah, we missed him, man.

00:08:11 - 00:08:11 | Speaker 6:

I know.

00:08:12 - 00:08:14 | Speaker 7:

We missed you, brother. Welcome back, brother.

00:08:14 - 00:08:25 | Speaker 6:

Appreciate it, my man. By the way, I wouldn't let Kevin Chaperone Megan going anywhere. Those two together would get themselves arrested. All right, we'll talk to you later, buddy. See you, George.

00:08:26 - 00:08:27 | Speaker 7:

All right, buddy. All right.
