All right, it's Mojo in the Morning Show. Kevin, it is nice to have you here. Kevin was out sick on Friday and felt horrible about this. Yesterday, he was supposed to have a big moment happening in his life, and because he was sick,

you had to miss this moment bruh i do the pistons i'm on a mojo in the morning show and i have the blessing to be one of the in-game arena hosts for michigan state and yesterday i was on the game scheduled to be on what is the biggest game on the schedule all year when you have your in-state rival michigan wolverines coming to the breslin That alone is like the greatest moment. Then you add on to it that we were the outright Big Ten champions. So you know you're getting a trophy that game, a chance to go undefeated against the Wolverines. You're on the call. It's senior night. It's the last game of the season in the Breslin. You hype as hell, and then you get sick. Man. And you cannot go.

I'm sad that you were sick, but I'm glad that you didn't try to fake it and show up Because if you would have gotten, because you're, like, hugging on Coach Izzo and the players. Like, could you imagine right before the tournament, a flu virus sweeps through the Michigan, the Big Ten champion Michigan State Spartans. Like, could you imagine you would be the guy? Would you, by the way, if that did happen, would you have fessed up and said that was me that gave him?

I'd have to go into hiding. You can't fess up.

my 40th birthday party a couple of years ago I was really really sick and I didn't want to tell everybody because my friends had like spent so much time planning it so I went and everybody Everybody on the bus got influenza B. We all went to the same urgent care to get tested, and nobody wanted to tell everybody else. And apparently at one point the doctor was like, I'm getting a whole bunch of like 40-something women coming in and testing for influenza B, and it was from me.

Hey, I'm doing good. I was sick on my birthday just on February 17th, and I had to cancel all my plans because I got the flu.

Oh, that's the worst. Was it a big birthday number or just like a random birthday?

I was turning 25. I mean, she and my girlfriend had my plans and she's pregnant right now. So I just, I didn't want to risk getting her sick or getting anybody else sick. But I actually went into a funeral home to do a job interview because work's been really slow for me through the winter. And I, they're the only people that have called me back. I've applied 20 different places and I went in there and they didn't call me back. I'm wondering if I got that sick. I feel kind of. Oh, no. No.

No, the interesting thing with that is that that's a good business still to be in. It's a recession-proof business. People are always dying. What's up, Lori? How you doing?

My son and his best friend and girlfriend at the time were all going on a trip to Florida, and they were leaving at different times. And this was going to be his big moment. He was going to be popping the question to his girlfriend. And they had everything planned. The ring actually went down with his best man, which is his best friend. And, like, two days prior before him leaving, and Alex was already down there, his friend, he had COVID. Oh, my God.

Jeez. Did his girlfriend not go, too?

Oh, no. They didn't go because they were planning on going together. And the other couple went.

How did he propose then?

So he ended up going to Florida. He had like Animal Kingdom. He had a room all planned in Animal Kingdom. And the giraffes were going to come up. But he ended up going to Florida probably about a month later and popping the question.

Could you imagine if his friend would have lost the ring? Can you imagine if he lost the ring?

hey y'all um so it was a while ago but i got pneumonia during my fifth grade field trip and we went to like tennessee or something like that okay but it still hurts me to this day because like i still have like a little car

cards that everybody sent out to me and stuff like that. It was devastating.

So why didn't they postpone it for you?

Well, they were just like how they are. They just, they'd been together high school sweethearts and we all, it's their style. Oh, we're just going to go get married today. Like they didn't tell anybody, you know, they had a big like wedding reception afterwards. Like a big like get together rather. And he was more upset that I didn't tell him I was in the hospital.

Oh man. Well, that, that, that would suck the bet. That's a big moment to miss. Um, Laura was actually throwing the surprise party for her mother-in-law and got sick throwing the party.

Yes. You guys, I planned the surprise birthday party for my mother.

No, actually I didn't even get anybody else sick. I was very surprised. We had the entire family over. I planned everything, made 90% of the food, didn't even make it through her singing happy birthday to her or nothing, and I was in the bathroom, liquid out both ends. I did. I actually went to the pictures. We did like our group pictures, but it was 95 degrees, and I had like a giant ball gown on. And when I got to prom, I was so severely dehydrated and had heat poisoning, I threw up all over the bathroom. It was such a nightmare.

what's going on uh sarah what did you miss good morning everybody um so last year was the first time going to jingle ball after the past two years of me having covid during it um my my mom had me take off the last few days of my internship to make sure that I wasn't getting sick for it because she knew it was so bad.
