I'm getting right in front of you The other one that I learned on another member of the show was the new guy, Kev. I didn't know this about him until a birdie told me this. Do you know that Kev... Tim has a homeless friend who he visits frequently and brings food to.

My guy, Tim. By the way, I'm starting to agree with Megan. He may not be the best secret keeper. I don't know if these things are related, but we're sharing a lot.

But here's the thing. People always hear us talk about the version of this story that we like to tell, which is sometimes the version of the story that makes us seem like we're edgy and crazy and whatever. We're so cool. But these stories to me are the true stories that people need to know that there is well-rounded people that, you know, care about what's going on. So, Tim, where's this homeless guy at?

Yeah, so he's like nine mile in the lodge, I believe. Yeah, nine mile in the lodge. So I just love people, man. I love inspiring people. I love being someone that people can talk to and share things with. I just want people to have an experience with me where they walk away and they feel better than they were when they came in. And I saw Tim, I saw him a couple of times. And this particular time I had my usual Chipotle order, large bag of chips, two bowls, all the fixings. And to be honest with you, I was like so hungry. I was like, I'm not about to give him this. And I didn't. And I felt extremely bad. And then the next time I went to Chipotle, I got my same order and I saw Tim. And I said, you know what? I'm giving Tim one of these bowls. I don't care how hungry I am. I'm giving him a bowl. So I rolled down the window. I gave him a bowl. He was like, it don't have fajitas. It don't have all the hot stuff. I was like, no, sir. It's cool. It's going to be okay. He was like, I don't like chives. I was like, I don't have any chives. It's okay, dog. Tim's a picky guy. He's like, I kind of liked it. I was like, hey, man, you're still a person. Get what you get. So I gave Tim the bowl, and I saw Tim two days later, and I said, hey, man, did you enjoy it? He was like, oh, man, it was so good. It was so good. I just wish I had some oyster crackers with me And the bowl was wet You ever get those Chipotle bowls Where the water's leaking out of the bag Like soup

It's the beans They go dig deep

He was like you know those oyster crackers That you get with chili And I was like hmm mental note You like chili? He's like yeah man I love chili So immediately I went to Wendy's And I got a large chili A large lemonade and they didn't have crackers So I got him a large fry for like that effect and went back and gave it to him. And the look in his face, man, it just seemed like nobody had ever done anything for him.

That's awesome.

It's such a long time. And then yesterday I went back to check on him. He's like, man, I talked about you at the shelter all day yesterday. So today I have a, I have some jeans, I access jeans. So he wears a 32, 34. He's a medium up top and he's a nine and a half in shoe. So I already got some clothes ready. And today I'm going to take Josiah, my son, so he can be a part of this moment also. So we're going to put together a care package and take it to Margot.

That's incredible. I love that. See, I love stories like these, and these are the stories that sometimes you don't hear, and sometimes, honestly, the news never covers of when people do nice things. Like, everything is so divisive in this world. Everybody's so mean. And then occasionally you'll hear a story about somebody doing something like that. Like, you know, the positivity that comes out of it is awesome. And hopefully it spurs people on to not just pass somebody by and just assume something. You know, Tim has a name, right? He's not just the guy that's a homeless that's on Nine Mile. What's going on, Melissa?

Oh, I was just telling my story to Lydia. She's amazing. We both do Bible study on Wednesday night in different churches. But I just want to tell you, I gave this homeless man, I seen him on the corner on Memorial Day on Van Dyke there on Mound Road. And I seen him for days, and I offered him, I asked him, I stopped and talked to him. and I said, hey, what's going on? What's your story? And he told me a story about, you know, his brother and his dogs and everything, showed me the car that he had in the back of the parking lot. I brought him the next day to the mechanic and paid for $1,000 to get his car fixed.

Wow, that's amazing. God, that's incredible. Melissa, after you did that, how did you feel?

Amazing. I love helping people. I help people whenever I can. I feel like I'm blessed. So I like to bless other people.
